I went to this waterfall on my way to Surabaya from Mount Bromo after hiring a motorcycle taxi. It's a nice waterfall hidden upstream. When the weather is nice, it's such a wonderful place for photography. The hike along the entryway stream is enjoyable as you get to enjoy nature and observe various animals. Don't forget to take umbrellas or waterproof jacket or raincoat as you'll need while walking beneath the rock shelter with light waterfall from above. Alternatively you can also buy a plastic poncho at the base. Recommended not to wear shoes or high heels or sandals. Best would be slippers. You can have local snacks at the main entrance where you'll be paying the entrance fees as well.

One of highlights of our Indo trip. First you pay 15k IDR for motocycle ride (one way) to 1-2km away from waterfall (some drivers will try to scam you, confirm price before), guide is not needed but they know photo spots and some facts about place. Entrance ticket was 45k. Then its small walk to get to waterfall. Be sure to bring spare clothes, swimsuit or rain cover and flipflops because you will get wet. Its absolutely worth it.

You don't really need one as the path is clear but the harassment can be tough. Visited this amazing waterfall after Mount Bromo tour. As mentioned by other reviews, it's necessary to take motorbike taxi or ojek from the parking to get to the entrance of the waterfall because the road is small not suitable for cars and the locals want to make a living. I paid a 'normal' price (30k) for ojek and didn't use a guide (100k) thanks to my driver and I can speak bahasa. It's easy get to the the waterfall by following the river upstream. Several guides tried to follow me but I kept saying no. The last part involves getting all wet and crossing the river. Therefore, it might be a good idea to get a guide because he can show you the path and which rock to step on. It's hard to figure it out when there are no other tourists. The merchants sells raincoat for 10K if you don't want your whole body to get wet because you will have to move under the waterfall for some parts of the trail. The waterfall is beautiful and definitely worth the detour.

Did this today - unless you are VERY proficient in flip flops they will fall off as you walk through the river bed and across the slippy sharp rocks. You will walk THROUGH the waterfall several times - My $100 raincoat did not cover my shorts like the cheap ponchos did 😂. First you must drive to the carpark, then hire a scooter driver to take you down the narrow road to the start/entry gate. Pay the entry fee. A guide will walk with you 2km (20mins) to the falls area. The falls area is incredible. Buy a poncho as you will get wet !!! You walk directly under the falls. Walk up the river to the cave/pond. Look up, see the sky above. Wow.

We wanted to go here with a normal car but broke down halfway. The day after we we t again and this time took the correct road. You will park at a main area and can then take a motorbike up to the falls. This is 15K one way. Entrance to the falls is 45K. It is an easy 15 min walk and then some climbing and so. Wear sandals or shoes that can get wet. You will get wet! The falls are amazing.

It’s the highest waterfall on Jawa and it looks amazing. The best part is that you can walk under the waterfall. It’s worth to wear water shoes and take same clothes for change after the walk.

Beautiful waterfall, less known and smaller than Tumpak Sewu, often combined by tour operators that organise trips to Bromo because of its vicinity to it to the north, combines handily with tours operating out of Surabaya. The infrastructure is lacking, it can only be reached through motor bike riders from the entry gate, and then walking quite a bit. The bridges and roads towards it are kind-of maintained and not too shabby, although in some sections the road guards have fallen apart. At the waterfall itself prepare to be soaked from water above (poncho can help, but you’ll still get soaked). It’s also near inevitable you’ll wade through the river, so know your shoes will be soaked too. The rocks are slippery, no matter whether you use bare feet, slippers, or shoes. I found wading the river safer, even though you’ll soak your shoes. You can go close to the end of it this way. If you want it reach the final bit, you’ll need to climb over some rocks 4-5 meter high which isn’t all that safe for every age and skill group, but doable for many. Worth it if you have considered the above and know what you’re up against. Of course if you combine this with Bromo in one day, make sure you do Bromo first, and then this waterfall, otherwise you’ll have to do Bromo in completely wet clothes and soaked shoes.

On the way to Banyuwangi after your program for Bromo sunrise, don't miss this site. If you didn't visit Brahu Temple in Mojokerto, then it worth visiting this temple. Both of them are similiar. The temple its self was built in brick stones. Definitely different with the temples in Java Central. It is located around 1 km away from the main street at Paiton district. No ticket needed to enter, but sure it will be more polite to give lil money to the parking man there. This temple is rarely visited by the foreigners as it is not famous as Borobudur or Prambanan temple..the people you meet will probably ask you to take some pics with you. During summer, in Indonesia is dry season, usually people here plant tobacco, and they dry their tobacco leaves around the temple. Don't forget the sunblock, during they day it will be very hot..
