There was no entrance fee. The place retained its majestic appearance. The park was right in front of the church where the “I love Silay” maker is located. The church was just one of the historical landmarks in the vicinity.

Stunning renaissance church. From closer look, you can see that adobe blocks are still intact. It is near Bacolod plaza and near SM Bacolod so it is easy to visit it. Also, almost all jeeps will pass by here. Inside it is so peaceful and vendors are not scattered on the entrance. Overall it was a great experience visiting this church. Best to visit this place at night when the lights are on and the whole structure is glowing.

Good place to worship God if you’re a Catholic. Problem is the lack of parking.

The exterior has more character than the inside. Definitely worth checking out it, as a tourist. Be prepared for the persistent little children begging for money.

I went to see the amazing architecture of the church. You need to see the inside yourself. I felt that taking pictures inside while people were praying was inconsiderate so I have none to post.

Hope they could keep cleanliness everywhere and stop people from peeing everywhere... every corner of the plaza and near the cathedral is smelly.

Attended early morning mass when we were visiting Bacolod. It is near city center and there is some parking around the plaza across the street from the church. To get a parking space it is helpful to get there early.

This cathedral has lovely exteriors but I feel the interiors especially the altar can be further enhanced so that the experience would be further elevated.

Free to visit, but of course donations are welcomed. Nice to look around and enjoy the peace. Please be respectful and not make too much noise during your visit.

The place is clean and a good place to stroll around with your family. A playground is built in it, I just do hope that all the playground facilities will be fix/maintained so that kids can enjoy playing. 😊

Its good to play around and watch the fishes in the Pond.. Good for kids to walk and play at the public playground.. just need a maintenance so the kids can use all of them.

The famous lagoon at the City of Smiles, Bacolod. The surroundings were clean and the view is perfect for those who want to sit down and relax for a while.

It’s a great place to spend time, relax, and just be! There’s usually a good selection of street foods right outside the fences, and convenience stores and fast food places are just nearby. My only complaint is that only two gates are open at a time, and it can be frustrating to get inside if you didn’t know. Nice park though!

📍it's near the national road, very accessible, has parking spaces, mini stores and such around but it's hard to appreciate very much due to car noises and air pollution ⛲ the pond is not clean anymore 💔 It used to be a pond full of fishes. It's now full of moss They have playground and a mini cafe within the area. Few steps and you'll be at Ayala mall. Stay safe! 🤍

Nice place to just sit and chill alone or with friends. Lots of street food stalls near the area. A place for jogging, zumba, or other recreational activities. Accessible.

A nice place to stroll around and unwind when starting the day or ending it. Lots of places to eat around the vicinity. The place could use a little cleaning and upgrading. Christmas decors were still up, but it was all good.

Very clean and relaxing. Your kids can enjoy and have fun at the playground for free. Feeding the fishes is also very enjoyable not only for kids but also for us adults. There are food stalls around the park as well as a lot of fastfood restaurants across the streets such as Jollibee, McDonald's, KFC, Dunkin'Donuts, and Chowking.

This place can also be spectacular during evening with lightings turn on but this is the only schedule that suits me for a visit. The place is wide and huge. It accommodates a children park, a practice area, Zumba area, picnic area. There are lot of things to do here. One symbolic sight I got to observe is a Filipino man and a Filipino woman with a carabao in each side facing toward each other and were placed opposite side of the pond. It seems that they have to meet in the middle of the pond.

Good place to Jog and walk, there a new upgrade playground for the kids. In the center of the city these is the place where a breathable atmosphere.

A nice place to rest after walking under the scorching sun. This place has a lot of seats and trees to shade you.

One of the few green lungs in the heart of the city, this spot is great for a pleasant walk, a shady nook to read a book or to sample the many delicious and cheap food at the food carts fringed around the park. Impressive public art are also placed around which are great focal points for photography and visual storytelling.

Only one gate open to enter. Lots of tilapia live in the lagoon! Nice place to hang out in the morning. They close at 5pm though I was told.

Went here after a failed trip to the Ruins (they were closed at the time). It contains the history of Bacolod city and has some artifacts preserved since the Spanish era. The tour guides are very accommodating and knowledgeable about their stuff and I hope tourists appreciate the history of Bacolod City

It was closed when I got there during the week day and in their hours of operation. For some reason, nobody updated their holiday off on Google maps. It was a total let down. If I was able to see inside I might have left a better review...

When we went there, there were no other tourists around. There were mostly paintings inside the museum. At that time, the air-conditioning system wasn’t turned on (or prolly wasn’t working). You can learn a lot about the history of the region. Going around would probably take less than 30 minutes (if you are so keen on reading the captions and info). Entrance fee = 100 pesos.

This is probably one of the museums I really like. The arrangement of the artifacts are creatively thought of. The place is well lit and ventilated. You can take pictures (without flash though) . When I went to the museum, it was already closing time like 5:30 but when they asked me asked me where I came from and I told them that i am from Bicol, they let me in still. I am really thankful because of that. So I went around the museum a bit quickly. It was nice and the pieces where really old already. I was only able to see the ground floor because the second floor was under renovation then.

Jaw dropping art and culture. The directress and licenced tourgiudes are, hands down the best. The amount of art and variation, and stories behind each one is worth every peso. Hihly recommended. Support the heritage, history and preservation of culture and art or negros.

The tour guide was really knowledgable and accomodating. The pieces were well curated. It would just be better if ventilation and/or AC will be improved around the museum esp during summer time for a better and more comfy art experience 😊

This is an interesting place to stop when visiting the area. It seems the lower floor is dedicated to a rotating collection of local art and the upper floor holds the permanent, more historical collection. For our visit, the lower floor had an excellent collection of mostly modern art, all of it excellent. The historical artifacts were fascinating as well. Make sure you stop by the restaurant, as it is fantastic as well.

The museum primarily highlights the rich history of Negros Island and the growth of the sugar industry, from the Spanish colonial era to sugar cane farming to the independent revolution. In the exhibition hall, you can view reconstructions of a sugar cane train and a cargo ship. The museum building is also a historical landmark, having been constructed in the mid-1920s and it is located in the heart of Bacolod City. Entrance fee is Php 100 for general admission, Php 80 for senior citizen and PWD while Php 70 for students. The museum is open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Saturday.

A perfect place for you to learn and discover the history of Negros Occidental as you begin your travel. Also, for art enthusiasts this would be a paradise. Suggestion though, some areas need proper ventilation as it is humid. But overall, this is top on the list for the best museums I've visited as of the present.

Me and my lady were looking for some more in depth history regarding the negros area, and we decided to come here to get some historical knowledge. We found many beautiful art pieces and historical information on the history of the negros area. This is a good spot for families who have children who are curious about the negros colonial times.

When we visited, the first floor featured artworks while the second floor featured historical items. The 1st floor is essentially a gallery while the 2nd floor is the museum. If it's your first time, there is a lot to see, but allocating an hour and a half would do. We visited it quickly for about 40 minutes but we still enjoyed. The front desk staff was kind enough to offer a tour, but we declined as we were in a bit of a hurry. Fee for the visit is Php 100 / person.

Art enthusiasts would love to be here. There are various paintings and crafts from different artists in Negros. There entrance fee is 100 php for regular and 80php for students. They have comfort room. There's also a cafe in front of the museum. All staffs are friendly. Visit them now! 🥰 🎨

You can find the government services here. Nice place to bring your kids to unwind in the late afternoon. Plenty of food stalls at the back. More restaurant nearby. Call centers near here. Splash park are in front of this city hall. Plenty of parking lot and good view of the new government center at night.

It's a beautiful City Hall with a large fountain and grass area in front. There were breachers set up on the grassy area for maybe a future outside event.

A fairly recent built government centre of the city of Bacolod which houses the City Mayor's office and its constituents. Has several offices which is open during weekdays. The grounds and park is open 24/7 and often is a venue for city-sponsored events and such. The place is bordered with food shops and the like which is ideal for a day out or a night stroll. Often serves as a venue for family picnics as well. Popular time: Sundays 6pm- onwards.

Securing tax declaration is not a walk in the park. Be prepared to present the checklist of requirements before they issue one. There are a handful of these requirements. It took me 2 days to complete the requirements - going back and forth. Pouring rains is an added factor to my ordeal. What happened to ease of doing business bacolod city????

After the Office Hour , the BNGC becomes a Family Place for the Bacolodnons .. even local Tourists from nearby Towns and Cities dropped by and spend time with friends and family.. joggers and other fitness enthusiasts ...

It's a lively place in Bacolod City during night time. There are food stalls at the back portion of the building.

It has been newly renovated. The New Government Center is indeed the center of Bacolod City. It is surrounded by call centers, gasoline stations, a marketplace, cafes, stands, some small establishments as well. Just near are beer houses, restaurants, and bars. If you visit Bacolod, you should also visit this place. Most major city events are held here.

Have you ever tried to walk around at the back area of NGC? The place does not only offer the park in its front view but also its back area...from fitness aminities, where equipment were stationery in its place and manually manipulated to let everyone who use it, take an efforts for a better fitness results.. and there is also a spot that was quite and so calm that they call ZEN GARDEN which has concrete benches and landscapes with ornamental plants. The best feeling being here is to be surrounded by a lot of big trees, wide branches spreads and covers the place and making cool... I have not yet mentioned the basketball & volleyball open courts, the football field with vast area that sometimes use for the settlement of carnivals for amusement during masskara festival. If you are in the front of NGC why not to take a look at the beauty at back you will surely enjoy.

I've visited the NGC several times and in every occasion this imposing building doesn't cease to impress me. However, the feeling of awe it evokes is quite different when I did visit it the hard way - by means of pedaling with a mountain bike. Coming from Victorias City in the north, I made use of the Bacolod Negros Occidental Economic Highway (BANOCEH) that connects with the Circumferential Road with its bicycle lane if you call it as such given the prevalence of parked vehicles obstructing the course of the cyclist. Anyway, the NGC is a convenient rest-stop for any cyclist who use the 40-km plus BANOCEH that begins in Victorias and goes as far as Sum-ag.

A must-visit landmark in Bacolod when it's your first time here. You'll find a fountain and a marker that says "Bacolod". And also, I suggest you take the public transportation if you want to go here (if you don't have your own vehicle with you). The fare is cheap when you take the e-jeep (looks like a mini bus). You can ride that e-jeep coming from SM City Bacolod Northwing. When we came to BGC (Bacolod Government Center), Grab cars are not so responsive online when we checked Grab app (if they available for a trip to The Ruins). However, here's the tip that you need to consider: Knowing how to commute like a local will give you lots of advantages. You can ask locals here which jeepney to ride and where to stop, if you have plans to go to the Ruins after visiting BGC. Note: Visited last June 11, 2023

Students usually visited this place to unwind and be relieved from stress. I myself together with my friends went here almost every afternoon to jog and to chat. It is good to be here during night time because of the impressive light displays that is paired with the fountain. Though grandiose at night, and so in the morning. When the morning twilight breaks a lot of people jog and walk here. The area developed throughout the years to boost tourism thus a lot of services and stores are available around.

Nice place to pass by and lots of food places to satisfy your cravings. There are also blind people who offer massage. Place is well secured with police patrol cars doing rounds all day and night. Place is a government center after all .

Amazing reserve, lots of butterflies, they have a nursery wer you can actually view butterfly emerging from crysalis! They also have a fish spa!

I'm not an expert at butterfly species, but this place will show you different colors and forms of this insect. They also serve drinks and you can sit on the chairs outside the store to enjoy the view of the river.

There's an entrance fee of P100 per person. You can buy souvenirs here.

We were here today before the mall opened. There were benches nearby but after some time it was too hot to stay exposed in the sun. We started to queue up at around 9:15. At around 3 minutes before 10:00, there was an opening prayer aired via the mall’s sound system and then, the Philippine National anthem was played. Prior to this, the guard asked us to form one line as there were many people who wanted to enter the mall.

A place where you can buy almost everything. From necessities to wants! There are sooo much choices! It is a great place to shop. The downside is, they do not have enough wash room/toilets for all the shoppers. I hope they will improve in this area soon.

By far the widest mall in Bacolod. Nice to walk around. There is space even if there would be many people. So many boutiques of renowned brands. Always well decorated. There are also many restaurants with nice settings and good cuisine for those, like me, who do not like fast food. Be careful there is risk for shopping addicts!

Has lots of parking space and prioritizes also the pwd's . Security is excellent and employees are superb. Mall has everything from grocery to even hardware as well. Nice atmosphere and lots of restos as well. Very recommendable to go to for all your needs.

I recently visited SM North wing and was overall quite impressed. It's a great place to go for food, as there are many different restaurants and fast food options to choose from. It's a great place to go for food, shopping, and entertainment, and I would definitely recommend it to others. The only downside was that it was a bit crowded at times, which made it difficult to navigate. However, that's to be expected at a popular mall like this. All in all, it was a great experience and I would definitely visit again in the future.

Coming here for the first time I was, first of all, quite amazed that this mall has two buildings: the North wing and the South wing, connected by two bridges: the East gateway and the West gateway. There are also shops along the bridges. On the East gateway shoppers can have a view of the city, while on the West gateway offers a view of the seaport and new condominiums being built. The entire mall is surrounded by plentiful free parking; although there’s no underground or multi-level parking here.

As a first timer in Bacolod (Tuesday night on June), I thought SM City Bacolod was so small that it only had a supermarket and some small pasalubong shops. Five days later, I went back to Bacolod on a Sunday afternoon, I found out that there are two parts of SM City Bacolod - the North wing and the South wing. So it was my first night in Bacolod when I was able to explore the Southwing. And because it was night, I've never noticed yet the Northwing Part of the mall. During my last day in Bacolod, I've explored what's inside the mall. I was able to go to Paglaum (a souvenir shop), the Supermarket, I've also been to Starbucks and McDonalds. I love also how the two parts of the mall connect each other, and there's a lounge area for travelers. All you have to do is to pay almost a dollar so that you can leave your things for a while. Of course, it's still best to bring all the valuables with you when you leave your baggages in the traveler's lounge area of SM Bacolod. Also, there's a taxi stop nearby if you need a quick cab ride.

The mall is a great place, the food court is not a good place to eat, the soup had some bugs Shanghai was not good we really didn't eat the food we ordered Jolly Bee was great traffic not so bad compared to Dumaguete our trip was good overall we will go back many time very successful trip

Driving from Hinigaran to Bacolod!! 💗 SM Bacolod is like any other SM branches. Lots of parking space, pwede north or south. Environment is clean :)

It has everything you need even bank! It's also a great location and in the downtown area. Only downside is the flood when there's heavy rain. Not sure if it has been fixed. They also need to have a bigger parking area, it's so hard to find one on the weekend.

Your one stop shop... The accessibility of the place is within the metro.. good finds and great bargains... As there jingle says... "Here at SM.. We have it all for you".. they are true to their promise.. 😊
