Lots of tourists, nice sand dunes but around a lot of garbage. You can buy water for good money. You can rent bobsleigh to the sand dunes. When I was here it was hot, I recommend a headdress.

While the initial climb may be hard and trash can be found littered around, head a little in and you’ll find untouched soft and clear skies. Remember to hydrate and cover up in the hot sun.

An Íntagrammers paradise (but behind the lense you’re competing with 100 other people trying to get that “just right” photo) If you enjoy an adventure, we booked a jeep ($600,000vd) to take us out at sunrise who brought us here, where we then paid (another $600,000 vd) for an ATV to take us out onto the dunes for a photo (amongst every other person who was doing the same). We enjoyed the early morning cold on the sand as the sun rose, and we were then taken to another spot to see the lake that joined the dunes. Again, if you’re ticking things off your “I’ve seen that list” do it for sure - but be aware there’s a lot ò people doing the same. It’s definitely cheaper booking this and doing it as a part of the 5hr jeep tour, and overall fun as an entire 5hr adventure, but I wouldn’t do this during the day by yourself (as it would be far too hot and too expensive).

We hired a scooter and did the sunset trip to the sand dues ourselves. It was lovely, not fantastic or amazing. we did enjoy the atmosphere, everyone coming together to watch the sunset . If you have a scooter, you should go and see for yourself. The best time to go is 5:30 pm for the sunset and the changes of colour over the dues

A sunrise morning on the red sand dune. You should visit at earlier on the morning and late afternoon. Because there like a desert, all day there is always high temprature.

There are another White sand dunes - big desert on the way to Phạm Rang but these dunes are much closer to Mui Ne and deserving attention at least as a Sunset point.

The Sand Dune itself was beautiful. The first light was stunning!! But the service was not good. They didn't give the right instruction. When we were there and they adviced that the motor which costed 600k(small) - 700k(big) for 2 people are hired privately like we could go everywhere in the sand Dunes area. And the jeep (700k for a group) will just go to 2 places and we had to climb to the top ourselves. So we chose the motor. It turned out that both options have the same service. The driver left us to pick up others and they only brought us to 2 places. The only other advantage was that you can try riding the motor but it wasn't sth fantasy that worth trying.

This was a huge downer on visiting the dunes, every where you look there was plastic bottles and other packaging that people have left. Totally takes the magic away from this stunning place. All these tour companies should maybe come together to do a big clean up. Or maybe a local council? Maybe put in stricter rules to punish those who litter here!!

Indeed, the dunes have a stunning colour and the sand is beautiful, but unfortunately the sand is also full of trash. The area of the dunes itself is small, you can easily walk through it. If you are in Mui Ne or closeby anyways its definitely a nice visit, but the dunes-trips are a bit puffed-up for tourists. The visit is free, no entry fee.

Very very very dirty! PLASTIC EVERYWHRE. Unfortunately, mui ne has been ruined by people. There is plastic everywhere. Lots of dead by catch discarded on the beach from the fishing too (starfish/crabs/fish/eels etc).

April 2024. I couldn’t be more disappointed. It has nothing in common with the photos. Not a single palm tree. The beach is full of rubbish. It is free but simply not maintained. Next to it there are some abandoned resorts. In about 5 minutes walk you may settle on private resort beaches where there is no trash on the sand but still some in the water.

This beach is blocked by resorts and abandoned hotels on the coast. There is no public access and the sand is full of dirt from the oven plus building throw there their waste pipes... Stay away from this area if you want to relax and see a nice landscape

Will never go to either Mui Ne or Phan tiet again. Compared to other SE Asia destinations this was super boring! Expensive, dirty beach, didn’t feel welcome.

Stunning beautiful beach, but you can't swim. The undercurrent is so strong that just having a paddle in the water nearly takes your feet from under you. You can't sunbathe it's impossible. The wind is around 34 knts constant. The best conditions for surfing, etc. I'm not sure if the wind ever actually dies down.

One among the best get away beach destinations for people who live in Saigon. A lot of russians live here not sure if they are still around after the covid.

The "ok" or "nice" rewies coming from vietnameese people proves they don't realise the garbage they live everyday and get used with the litter.. Like Saigon ( a huge garbage), this beach is also in the tradition.. :(

So, after a couple of days cruising around Mui Ne and its surroundings, we finally found a half-decent spot—a beach just north of Mui Ne Beach. It's not exactly a hidden gem, but it's definitely the best of the bunch. But let's get real—the hype about Mui Ne's beaches? Total letdown for me and my wife traveling throughout Vietnam. Trash, plastics, you name it, floating around in the sea. And good luck trying to actually get to the water in some spots. Mid-April, the air? A blistering 38°C. The water? Around 30°C. Perfect for a dip, if you can find a clean patch. Overall, while Mui Ne might not deliver on the whole "greatest beaches" thing, this spot offers a decent enough escape for some sun and sand.

Dirty, a lot of dead fish & squid thrown out of the sea (I don’t know what’s causing this). Only good for kitesurfing. The sunset spot is more for swimming.

That is the best trip I’ve ever had with two friends. Although 4 hours on the road and 3 hours on the beach that had made us loss a lot of strength, we had been so excited when we were accompanying together. Thanks a lot my friend’s father who helped me to get 3 fishes from the ocean with about 20 meters deep. I also don’t know what to say to my bro Hieu who gave us the most beautiful time on his hometown Phan Thiet. Mr. Bao and I had had the great experience after the long string work.

It's a mix of both clean and not so clean beaches. Most resort adjoining the beach have maintained well. The open places are more occupied by the local fishermen. All in all a good walk during evening to enjoy the weather..

You have to find the clean spots on this beach. A lot of trash in certain areas makes it not so appealing.

Ticket costs 250K person included entrance fee, round trip cable car. Visiting the whole area will take you around 1,5-2 hours. There are almost 300 staircases to walk upstairs to get to the Reclining Buddha statue. The distance is longer than 500-600m from the cable car.

A good place to travel, stunning views, alluring jungle noise! We traveled by bike from Mui Ne, on the way we stopped at the dragon plantation and picked ripe, fallen fruits for ourselves! I recommend it!

Ta Cu Mount (Vietnamese: Núi Tà Cú) is a mountain located off of National Route 1 in the town of Thuận Nam, Hàm Thuận Nam District. Ta Cu Mountain is 28 km west of Phan Thiết city, in Bình Thuận Province, Nam Trung Bộ, Vietnam. The average temperature at the summit ranges from around 18 to 22 °C. There is a path from the foot of the mountain to the summit, a distance of 2290 meters. An alternate more popular route up the side of the mountain is via a 1600-meter-long Austrian aerial tram. At the height of 563 meters, there are two pagodas: the Upper Pagoda (Linh Sơn Trường Thọ) and the Lower Pagoda (Long Đoàn). However, the mountain is most famous as the site of the statue of the reclining Gautama Buddha, which at 49 meters in length is the largest reclining Buddha in Southeast Asia. The statue of the Buddha is an additional 300 steps from the top of the tram. From the top of the mountain, there are views of the dragon fruit farms and rice paddies below. In the 1870s and 1880s, a Buddhist month named Tran Huu Duc led a group of Buddhist faithful in the construction of the Linh Son Truong Tho Pagoda. After his death in 1887, a group of his followers built the lower Long Doan Pagoda. Then in 1958, a man named Truong Dinh Tri began construction of the 49 meter-long, seven meter-high reclining Buddha, as well as three additional smaller Buddha statues. There is a cave near the statues which has been named the Forefathers Cave. At the bottom of the cave is a small stream, which disappears into the cave floor. It is inside this cave that Tran Huu Duc spent much of his time in meditation.

Nice way to spend an afternoon. Near the highway so a short <1 hr trip from even Mui Ne. Cable car is 1/2 price after the 3:00 though last trip down is 5:00

Thought that the hike up would take 1.5 hours, but we took closer to 3-4 hours! Taking the cable car down was a sweet relief, especially considering the scorching heat. The massive reclining Buddha was truly impressive though. The random gathering of flamingo statues (base of mountain, not peak) was a fun photo spot too!

Good place for hiking, on the top has lying buddha, the weather there is really cool. they have cable car to near the top and 15 mins hiking to the buddha.

We scootered there from mui ne, which was an experience in itself, but once there , and paying 250,000, you get shuttle bused to the cable car and lifted up and over half the mountain to then walk up past a temple so new the clay dragons on the roof hadn't dried yet. However the 3 medium Buddha statues and the reclining Buddha are very impressive, along with the overall view. It's also a really nice place for a picnic under the trees but we hadn't known this. All the restaurants in the park are massively overpriced yet don't even have English. If you can, bring your own lunch and drinks and spend an hour chilling. Otherwise you'd only spend an hour and a half at most here.

The Champa Temple is a group of 3 Cham Towers built in the Hoa Lai style. In the main tower A, is worshipped the Linga-Yoni ( symbols of genitalia). Next to the principal tower is tower C worshipping the Fire Deity. Tower B worships the buffalo deity Nandin. They are Po Sah Inu Tower, Phú Hài, Thành phố Phan Thiết, Bình Thuận, Vietnam currently undergoing restoration. There is a d15k entrance fee and d2k for scooter parking. Several souvenir shops are at the entrance as well as a larger store with a wide range of souvenirs. You can also see the cloth being woven on the ancient loom. Refreshments on sale too. Further up the hill is the Victory Monument from the Princes Castle battle against the French in the fort at the summit of the hill. Entrance to the fort was blocked?

Restoration is in place. The atmosphere here is not quite comparable with Ponagar relic in Nha Trang, or others at Binh Định and Phú Yên

There really isn’t much to see. Ticket is VND 15k per adult. We went there in the afternoon, and it was hot. There wasn’t many people. We only spent 10 mins there… pretty much climbed the hill to the tower, walked around it and took some pictures.

See princes castle review but long story short, terrible place that doesn’t deserve even the 15k vnd fee. Dirty and poorly maintained. Nothing really to see past 5 minutes.

A Champa Cultural Temple. When you come here you can explore the Champa culture, their activities, lifestyle. You can see the beach, city view and many kind of flowers.

It is interesting to visit the temple. The locals also provide traditional costumes to try

We came here with nice weather, an old monk(I presume) walked with us and invited us into the temple, the old one. I believe it’s a place can find some peaceful atmosphere, we just occasionally find this spot on the way we back to Ho Chi Minh city. With reasonable price to get in, and not so many tourists here. Only issue is they need to put some more resources in the maintenance.
