It was a great experience for us. We were a group of 3 friends. We came to Chennai just for the beach. The weather was so romantic when we reached the beach and there was no crowd. Maybe because of rains and lunch time... Anyways, you can catch a bus to the beach from railway station. Though we hated the food. We felt like vomiting. After enjoying in the beach you can take a bath in nearby swimming pool they charge ₹50. And keep your bags with yourself coz no one will look out for you. And a message for everyone, Don't go deep into water 🌊 Be safe and enjoy.

Marina beach is very vast and a captivating paradise. It is very famous beach in South India because of its magnificent view. Beautiful sunrise in the morning and also to enjoy sunset in the evenings. It is really fun to take a stroll along the shore, feel the breeze and also get noticed with a lot of stalls surrounding it. Best time to visit for early morning 🌄 for sunrise view.... But the sewage water is flowing into the beach in the left side ...... Odour is bad ..... But if we go to the right side it is good to enjoy..... Cleaning should be improved.

The best time to be there would be around sunrise, and if you don't mind the crowds, the evenings are good too. There are lots of small shops and restaurants and decent enough washrooms. I have been here many times as a child. I am very happy to come with my children and wife. When I told my kids it was the biggest beach, they were ecstatic. When I come to the beach, I always ate the sundal and fish. To enjoy nature we must become children. Many memories come to the mind when the waves of the ocean pass over the feet.

Marina Beach is situated beside the Bay of Bengal. This beach is a famous landmark of Chennai city and Tamil Nadu as well. The beach is very scenic and windy. The natural atmosphere of this place is marvelous. There is wood made walkway to reach the beach from the road. Which is very helpful for people who do not like to walk on sand. Sea lovers come here and enjoy the beach. The security of this beach is very appreciable! The polices and guards patrol the beach to ensure people's security and warn them not to go to seawater during the low tide. However, people often do not follow the law and throw trash and shattered wine bottles on the sand of the beach. Which is very dangerous for people and harmful for the environment. Authority should take care of this matter.

Very nice experience of this beach.....if you want to walk little to get to the shore then tell your driver to park at the opposite road of Swami Vivekananda house. And from there,you can find a wheelchair accessible way......from their,you can easily walk to the shore.

Architecture of the temple is very magnificent. Very spacious too. There are several idols and temples inside. The shoe stand is adjacent to the temple. Photography is prohibited for some areas. When I visited the crowd was very less. Must visit.

This is a 7th Century Hindu temple dedicated to the holy lord Shiva. Located in the heart of Mylapore, Chennai of Tamil Nadu. The entire temple is based on Dravidian architecture and the form of Shiva's consort Parvati is worshipped here at this temple she is locally referred as Karpagambal. Arubathimoovar us one of the famous ritual they perform here at this temple. An absolute divine experience to be here!

One of the best temples in mylapore, I visit this temple whenever I go to Chennai, ancient temple lot of history associated with this temple. Amazing 🤩 Raja gopuram and architecture just superb. Must visit temple when your in Mylapore.

We had a wonderful darshan with our family and kids. No one can say more about this temple. One of the famous landmark in Mylapore and chennai. You can lot of activities happening inside the temple. Bharatanatyam program is one the major highlight. Coming in own vehicle will make parking difficult. So plan accordingly

Divine. Once I visited this place on a hectic evening. It was fully crowded. I had to stand in a huge line and got darshan. It was a great experience and a great relief post that. Those who don't believe in God too must visit the temple once to experience the temple's infrastructure and architecture. It's one of the ancient temples during old times. It's being said that, this is Superstar Rajinikanth's favorite temple of all time. Also he has contributed many to this temple. Well maintained.

We had visited early morning around 8am so luckily we were able to the see the mangalarthi and had bit of crowd as it was the opening time (21/10/23)

very nice temple. they have a huge area and more than 1000 of god statues i guess. they dont require any tickets to enter. but it gets very crowded. you have you put off your sandals/shoes at the entrance.

Its one of the best beaches no doubt. The place is surrounded by all types of eateries. The government has done amazing job in planning and development. But needs lots of cleaning at beach area and visitors need to be responsible too. You spend some quality time here.

Great place to hangout with friends and family. Wonderful experience. But, some unconscious people coming from various areas have made the beach dirty by throwing papers, eatable things and many more. Please be conscious enough and if you are eating something please throw the waste on the dustbin (you will get to see nearby any shop situated there) Don't be lazy for it. Keep it clean 🙏👍

The beach was named after Edward Elliot who was the magistrate and police superintendent at the time of British rule. The beach is situated at South of famous Marina Beach. The beach is not so much crowded as Marina Beach and mostly young people visit this place. After the sunset this is a great place for hangout and enjoy the cool sea breeze and it gets too much crowd in the afternoon after sunset.

Good hotel availability in the Roadside and bus connectivity is also good. Rushed by people in the weekend eves. This beach was regarded as one of the cleanest beaches, but it's getting polluted in the recent days.

Paid parking is available at the far corner near the church. Lots of eateries available on the beach side, better to order at a place you know.

Beautiful, serene beach - Watching the morning sunrise here is worth waking up early for! The Karl Schmidt Memoral is especially a sight to behold - supposedly built in the memory of a Dutch sailor who saved a girl from drowning, but unfortunately lost his his life in the attempt. This beach is usually not as crowded as the other ones and is a great spot for taking photos. Definitely worth a visit!

If you have a couple of hours to spare, spend it in Elliot's beach. It's a nice and clean beach. There are some activities young kids can participate in - balloon shooting, throw-a-ring etc. There are some stalls selling snacks like fried potato twisters, corn, peanuts. There are also some stalls selling sea food like king fish, prawns, crabs, squids etc. The fried squids were yummy. Close by, there are other food joints if you are not too keen on the stalls on the beach.

I visited Elliot's Beach on a Sunday evening, and despite the crowd, the ambiance was vibrant and lively. As an extension of Marina Beach and Besant Nagar Beach, Elliot's Beach attracts a large number of visitors, especially during the evenings. The bustling atmosphere, with families enjoying picnics, friends strolling along the shore, and vendors selling snacks, added to the charm of the experience. While the beach may be crowded, it's also a testament to its popularity and appeal as a local hangout spot.

Not much crowded as Marina. But now being crowded much. There is a big church situated near to this beach.

Once used to be a serene beach in Chennai where you could spend some quality time with family and friends, now turns out to be a crowded place much like Marina. Lot of food choices though much need to be decided on the quality especially those serving on the sands. Have not seen life guards though there was a decent crowd in the waters. One positive thing’s that there is a reasonably well maintained washroom on the beach, given the crowd, Corporation should add couple more such facilities. Still a great place in Chennai to spend an evening with friends and family. And safe as well, thanks to the constant vigil of Police.

Yes, Alike others I would also suggest visiting this beach . It is not as long as the marina beach nor cleaner . Many Activities are there both for younger people and elderly . Even at one corner of the Entrance a man Sells tiny Aquariums with beautiful and colourful beta fishes (he sells only on sundays evening). The best part which I liked is you get lots and lots of options for every budget, even food vans. Nearby it has both Church and Temple to visit. As I went on the 1st of January so got to See fair with multiple rides, toys, haunted room, fish spa ect.. Which was icing on the cake.

Only 3 churches built on tomb of an apostle, structure wise elegant. Although built in grandeur by the Portuguese, we can see the British influence in the current building. Was amazed at the 200 year old pipe organ, classy. Sadly not much effort to protect it, it’s kept open and dusty. There are improvement opportunities, many foreigners visit given their ancestral connection.

This is located in the San Thome area of Chennai close to the coast of the Bay of Bengal and is one of only 3 churches in the world that enshrines the tomb of an apostle and still stands today. The other two are in the Vatican and in Spain The present structure is believed to date back to 1523, when the structure was built, over the tomb of St Thomas the apostle, by the Portuguese, and renovated and upgraded in status by the British in 1896. There is a museum containing relics related to the apostle as well as to the Church. I visited the evening before Christmas in 2022, when preparations for the Xmas Mass were in full swing, and the atmosphere was at once joyous and divine.

Santhome Church is a wonderful place to visit. It's exudes peace and tranquility. This has historical significance for Christians. Saint Thomas was buried in this place. The beach is right behind giving this church beautiful scenery.

Very beautiful church and very nicely maintained. The hall is really peaceful to pray. In the church campus you have a museum too. We missed that due to lack of time. You have Parkin space to inside the campus.

One cool bar is located inside the church compound. Snacks are also available here. Good drinking water is also available here. St. Thomas Pole is also situated just backside of the church. I heard a lot about St Thomas Bessilica in Chennai, as a significant place of worship but did not have much idea about it earlier. There only I came to know that. Great blessing for Chennai & India. Only 3 tombs of Jesus Christ's pupils are there world wide & one is in our country. It's a big & beautiful church. Peaceful vibes. I recommend people of all religions to visit here because blessing & divinity has no religion.

Attended Good Friday and Easter mass here. Sunday Masses available in English and Malayalam. Excellent Choir and ambiance of church was marvelous. Good parking space available for 2 wheeler and 4 wheeler. Must visit church in Chennai.

Wonderful historic monumental must visit place in chennai. Great to meditate at the tomb of St Thomas, apostle of Jesus Christ. More than 2000 years old 72 CE, Thomas was martyred. Good museum

A historical site and the church. The well preserved century old church inner side is very impressive. The outside structure is also very unique. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the tomb of St.Thomas from 1st century and an informative museum attached to it. All these are on back side of the church. Car parking is limited during busy days but street parking in the surrounding may be checked out.

Well maintained and very nicely crafted. People are humble inside. Beside this church there is a shop to buy the Bible and many more if you want and backside there is a Museum tho which is really very quiet and feels very positive vibes.

A historical place. In life time we need to visit this place. No parking issue.

What an incredibly blessed place! Impeccably maintained and radiating serenity, the Perpetual Adoration Chapel creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. Stepping into this sacred space, the good ambience is immediately apparent, fostering a sense of tranquility and connection. I felt a deep spiritual presence, believing that Jesus is genuinely there in the Eucharist. Notably, the centralized AC in the Santhome Museum adds to the overall comfort. Considering the peaceful surroundings, introducing an AC option to the Perpetual Adoration Chapel would undoubtedly enhance the already uplifting ambiance of this sacred church. Anyway incredibly blessed place!..

I had the privilege of visiting this very old church, and it truly felt like stepping back in time. The serenity that envelops the place during the day is simply remarkable. It's a haven of tranquility, perfect for deep reflection and heartfelt prayers. The historical charm and peaceful ambiance make it a must-visit for anyone seeking a quiet sanctuary for spiritual contemplation.

It’s always crowded area but connected to all the local amenities like Electric train and bus stand but difficult to find parking for two wheelers and four wheelers. You can get variety of items starting from low price to high price. Though different places are there but people still like to come here.

Ranganathan street is always good as good it was because it lies near the exit of the railway station ...really an awsome place to explore the chennai city and people and the latest trending foods..... we can see many shops local as well branded shops and the market is near by... fruits vegetables.... ranganathan street is always crowded and in festival times it is more crouded... we can get A-Z in this street even it is buget friendly and there is no assurity of the quality some time it may be worth sometimes not ......

One of the best shopping mall in Chennai, It is essentially big mall in there. The all types of Brand showroom is there in this mall. Clothing brands, footwear brand, electronic equipment brands, food and beverages brand etc, All types are available there. I don't get too much time to explore here. The food court also very well arranged. The mall also have Movie theater with latest technology. I was happy to stay here.

They were courteous and helpful, addressing my queries promptly.

Express Avenue Mall in Chennai is like a big, exciting playground for people who love to shop. When you walk in, there are fancy stores and cute little shops everywhere. You can find everything from super expensive brands to cool, unique shops. The food court smells amazing with all kinds of yummy food. People are talking, and sometimes there's even music playing. It's like a lively party! Exploring the mall is like going on a fun adventure – you never know what cool things you'll find. Express Avenue Mall is just a super fun and memorable place to hang out and do some shopping.

Express Avenue hosts a mixture of shopping, business and leisure. The mall is home to the largest gaming arcade in South India. Fun City, a prominent attraction of the mall, is a play area for children. Express Avenue has also have an exclusive showrooms for BMW and Volvo. The three-level basement parking is equipped to handle about 2,000 vehicles.

Good place for shopping and spent time under one roof for many things, specially on weekend getaway. The mall is one of the best malls of Chennai. All the best brands located at one place for ease of shopping all items. The facade is extremely simple and huge in scale. There is ample space for parking and 5 exits gates.There is a big food court at the top of the mall.

Best mall in the heart of the city. Ample car parking is available at a reasonable cost of Rs.40 per hour. Most of the food joints in the food court close by 10pm. The Burrito outlet was one of the few options that was available when we landed there around 10 pm. The food quality and quantity are appreciatable. All big brands have their presence here.

Good mall , has many branded shops like Adidas , Nike , Puma , Tommy , etc .. has a decent food court with ample space , shops are based on prepaid EA food cards like in other malls so make sure to top up the food card before purchasing food. Has neat and tidy restrooms. A lot of parking spaces for bikes and cars.

Good place to have a good entertainment. Parking was so easy to go and park the car. Lift system was quick and easy to access for every floors. Food was the best thing there and that's why there was lot of crowd in that eating area. Escape cinemas was arranged perfectly with social distancing guidelines. Restroom is available in the mall, not sure whether available in all the floors or not. Fun zone for kids is little compact for them. That idea was really cool. Very neat place. Had a great time over there.

The mall is too big,best place to shop and fun with family and friends. Excellent place for weekends along with family and friends. Spacious parking facility for 2wheeler and 4wheeler. Hectic traffic on weekends so better visit by weekdays. Lots of shops available for food items neat and well service provided by them. You can find chat items, ice-creams at reasonable price and quantity.

Honestly a very nice mall that has all of the big name stores and a great food court! I visited several times throughout my stay in Chennai and was never disappointed! A few key stores that they have: Nike, Under Armour, Starbucks, Pizza Hut, Puma, and H&M. It makes for a nice place to escape from the heat as well since the mall is well air conditioned!

This is a very good place to go if you want to cool off a bit. As well as the Western stores (Marks and Spencer etc) there’s a craft section on the ground floor which while not as cheap as a street market, sells good quality stuff - we bought a bedspread.Great Mall with a good variety of stores ! The Spa on the 3rd floor next to the Movie Theatre is Fabulous and for a World Class Treatment look for MarieIt was clean everywhere at the mall which I appreciated. There is a good variety of shops. I found that products in the supermarkets on the bottom floor are well organized and presented. On the top floor, where there is a good view over the city, I had a strawberry fruit juice which tasted well. The sales people neither speak the local language nor English . They boldly say they can speak only Hindi. If we need help , we need to speak in Hindi to extract help. The girl who stands near the fitting rooms behaves as if she owns the store & the people at the cash counter push people for the membership card inspite of polite declination .! Such a nice store with diverse choices and yet the service sucks !! West side management needs to reconsider their service people at this location.!

We spent time on shopping and experience is good. Great brands with individual shops where we can purchase what we want. Not that many discounts. Much more options for food. But getting a seat in food court is challenging.

Mall has strategic location ! Elegant and too lively.. Good brand mix ! Leisure to shop, eat and entertainment… I found VIP Lounge too appealing store. Lot of Travel categories to offer and great products at good prices.. Skybags was trendy and Carlton was trending ! They even have good consumer offers running at store. Have a great shopping experience when you’re here..

One of the old malls of Chennai. This Mall has a special place in my heart because of the timing when it was constructed, when I came to Chennai back in March 2010, this mall was under construction and we visited right after it was done in the same year. It’s a decent size mall with all modern shops to complete your shopping. One can come here and spend some time with their family and friends. Place which we went this time was Karaikudi Restaurant in Food court. Place is neat and clean with decent food. I ordered one veg platter which was okayish. Few things were over fried with lot of oil. There are lot of places to enjoy and eat. I would recommend everyone to visit it.
