The views from the Christ worth the effort of climbing the mountain. +800 steps but took me less than 20 min. There are plenty places to rest if you need it with great views. It is a consider as a temple, so to get into the statue you must wear clothes covering your knees and arms, the entrance is barefoot as in most of the temples in Asia.

Wonderful view on city and ocean from the top of the hill. It become even more exciting view from top of the statue. Climbing to hill top in itself is a unique experience. Having tree by stair give big relief from hot sun. Only thing I wonder, what cannons doing by the side of Jesus Christ Status?

When you are in a good physical condition it's absolutely worth the walk to this statue. There are 2 roads, one starting at the beach and one starting at the village. The one from the village is more rough but the nature and views are spectacular. The reward when arriving at the top is a marvellous view at the coast and nearby city

Jesus's statues is a symbol of Christianity, however Vietnamese majority worship Buddha. So is amazing for me to see Jesus statues in Vũng Tàu. I went on a tour to Vũng Tàu with my academy and parents.. lovely experience.

Highly recommend place to visit in Vung Tau! You will enjoy an amazing walk up and down to the top of Jesus Christ Statue all the way to his holy’s shoulder level for a beautiful panorama view. The stairways are wide and shallow which is perfect for kids to adults. Best time to visit is early morning for colder weather and avoid crowds. Please be sure to bring a full bottle of water in a reusable bottle because you will want to drink it along the way. Be sure to bring cash money for donation box to support maintenance expenses because there is no fee to enter. Be sure to wear appropriate clothing ( no sleeveless or short skirt for women) and no hat/shoes allowed inside the statue. Although there are “no smoking” signs but people don’t read, follow, or enforce this rule. I encountered many men smoking cigarettes during our rest stops and at the top which was very disturbing and difficult to breathe. There were coffee shops and souvenirs shops there, but we brought our water in reusable bottles. There was a staff cleaning the stairways and many trash cans full of empty plastic bottles (not sure they were be recycled). Everyone needs to do his/her part to reduce plastic waste and keep this amazing place clean and preserved for many more generations to enjoy worth shipping and be at peace. Reuse, reduce, recycle every chance you can, THANK YOU!

First time at Vung Tau and this is the only attraction I came for. A total of 811 steps to the top from the entrance where the cab will drop you off. Note that the entry to the statue (after all the steps) will end at 1630. The last entry is 1615. Climb of 811 steps is pretty easy. There are many rest stops. About 30 mins one way - leisurely. No need tickets. Note that this is considered sacred ground - so be respectful and dress appropriately.

We can climb up through the statue and reach the arms of Christ. The view from there is stunning. There are nearly 1000 steps to climb, but do not worry the steps are very small (around 6 inch height).

Pretty great view from inside the statue. Would suggest drinking enough water before arriving as they don't allow you to bring your water on the walk. It is 600 steps to the top, and it was hot. You can buy a drink or ice cream up there.

Saw big JC. The hike took about 45 minutes going from the village. The scenery on the way up is incredible. Definitely bring a water bottle and wear SPF 50 MINIMUM. You can climb into the statue but you do have to be wearing trousers and modest clothing. Here’s a cool video I took.

For everyone considering to visit the statue, I would recommend walking up from the town. It has some amazing nature to enjoy! Than you can walk back down by the stairs and see the other side as well. The view from the top of the statue is amazing. I was veeery windy on the day I visited. Hold tight of your smartphone. You are not allowed the take your backpack up with you. As a solotraveler with nobody to take turns in going up, a bit of a bad feeling. I took at least my walled and my passport with me. Also you have to put off your shoes and hats, no foods and drinks, and apprioriate clothes.

Dont be scared of the 800 steps. the steps here are half the size of what you considered a normal "steps". and the wind will keep you cool all the way up, so just headup to jesus, he will reward you with beautiful scenery along the way, plenty of spaces to take a break mid way, there must be like 4 or 5 spots every 300 steps 😂 with water and ice shop. A prominent must go spot / location to check in Vung Tau. p/s: Jeus is so cool with 2 giants cannon next to his feet. 🗿

The ride up on the cable car is great. It’s a large park with heaps of stuff. However, many things not working. Very low on staff. One staff member operating 3 kids rides. Cleanliness of toilets very poor. This was obviously a big investment in its time. Unfortunately it is quite neglected now. We were there on a busy long weekend, but still hardly any staff and many rides not operating. Food outlets were not clean and not so good. They must of lost a lot of money during Covid lockdowns, which is sad. I hope they get some reinvestment back into the place before it just closes down.

Although 50% of the attractions were open it was brilliant; though smaller in scale than many European fun parks. Very few people there so queuing if any was only a few minutes. If you’ve children keep a close eye on them as there are many risks eg. An unused, unsupervised, woodland attraction which can be wandered into and climbed. Apart from the risk of falling, there was a broken walkway. The Alpine Coaster is brilliant fun and you can go FAST! The decayed elements add even more scope for photographers. The drop tower was exhilarating. If you go with an open mind and don’t compare to larger, western parks you’ll have a great time!

Let me preface this by saying Hồ Mây Park wasn't bad, not at all. The idea is fantastic - a giant amusement park nestled in the mountains with city views? Sign me up! But there were just a few things that kept it from being a slam dunk. The park itself is beautiful. The mountain air was cool and refreshing, a welcome change from the Vung Tau heat. The cable car ride to the top was scenic, and offered a great view of the sprawling city below. We even saw a glimpse of the ocean! Once up top, though, the park felt a bit scattered. There were some definite highlights - the Alpine Coaster was a blast, and the zipline offered some amazing thrills. The downside was that some of the other rides seemed a little run down, and there weren't a ton of options for young kids. The water park area, which I was really looking forward to, was surprisingly small. Overall, Hồ Mây Park was a fun way to spend an afternoon, especially if you're looking for some adrenaline pumping activities. However, if you're expecting a world-class theme park experience, you might be a little disappointed. For me, it was a 3 out of 5 stars.

Girl yesterday @ 4pm tried to sell us tickets for 600.000 vnd saying it was a special day, tickets are 400.000 vnd everyday all-day, she was trying to rip off tourists and pocket the money. We left not buying a ticket, your company loses money everytime this happens.

Went to the amusement park today. Really fun, not crowded, wonderful location. Small park, with limited attractions, I plan to return. I would like to stay at the hotel.

Some people say that it's boring. There's nothing to visit/play and even borer than Dam Sen but in my opinion, I like it more than Dan Sen. With a combo 400k for a ticket, you can use cable car two ways and play all the games in Ho May Park. It's really worth my money. The park was mediocre. It felt like I had traveled back to the 80s when I visited this park. Everything in this park seemed outdated and worn out. The park would benefit from some maintenance and upgrades to make it more appealing.

The hotel is located in a very good area and the hills is directly opposite the hotel. A really nice experience. I will recommend the place for foreigners who are visiting or living in Vietnam. The people are friendly, especially the car parking arrangements along the streets and I think the traffic police need to be commended for their good job. The beaches are clean too.

The tent was very small for what I paid. The overall experience was not great and I don’t think I got my money worth!

Guys, don't miss on this opportunity to take a time machine! If you want to be transported back in time to the 1990s, come here. It has seen better times and it's such a pity that the management didn't invest in its unkeep. The water slides were closed in the morning and some of the pools looked kinda suss. Most of the attractions look derelict. Such a pity.

Front beach has it all. Although rather small there are so many great things to discover over there. Especially the park with statues is absolutely worth a visit. Fishermen along the beach are selling their fresh goods to families and shop owners. The sea is rather rough what invites surfers to demonstrate their sports.

Nice area with a quaint beach and green, clean park. Front Beach was significantly cleaner than Back Beach when I visited on February 10, 2024. If you also want to get away from the worst of the wind and waves, Front Beach sits back enough in a cove to not be nearly as affected as Back Beach is in those conditions. Very small sandy area at high tide but still several families out and enjoying it. The park around Front Beach is beautiful, spacious, and perfect for picnics.

Unfortunately the quality of the water and cleanliness of the beach are rapidly degrading. Ho Chi Minh has too much untreated sewage going into the river which ends up in Front Beach and all the surrounding areas. There is no way locally to control this until the powers that be in Saigon make a change. It has great potential but don't let the pretty pictures fool you, right now I wouldn't swim in that water!

Front Beach is one of my favourite spots on Vung Tau Island. The French had a more romantic name for this idyllic small beach, Coconut Bay. Early mornings are special. Take your camera. The small fishing boats have returned from the night's fishing, and you will see the wives and family helping load the night's catch onto motorcycles, to rush them to the morning fish markets. Take plenty of photos, but do not get in the way. Evenings on the beach are more relaxed and Front Beach becomes the typical tropical beach. Fishermen slowly prepare for another night at sea. Once the sun has set, and most people have left, you might be lucky enough to watch the owl couple hunt on the waterline.

Very nice to relax especially evenings. Excellent and cheap street food. Fishing resort. Cant swim here.

It’s a no from me :( you could try swimming in the right side but I’d recommend trying the other beaches in Vung Tau instead.

For a week now the beach is covered in decomposing rubbish. It smells horrible and nobody is cleaning up.

Awesome beach, was raining hard when I went so couldn’t really enjoy it as much but it was a long strip and there were still people enjoying the beach in the heavy rain. Nice place to go to.

It looked alright and clean enough when I went. I didn’t swim but the view was great and it was nice to stroll along in the park. Many people were swimming.

Visited this place recently. As beaches go its relatively under developed with only a few non descript refreshment places and a little bit of seafood going on. A few things to note there can be a little bit of litter around, not sure if that just washed up or people left it behind. Garbage bins are few and far between which is not good either. The sand itself is OK and comfortable to walk on ,very little by way of pebbles, stones or obstructions. The sea never seems to be blue here as we see in other exotic locations, rather its a murky colour, however the currents and waves are strong which might explain lots sand constantly rising to the surface and to create this colour. Not sure if it's safe to swim much more than 10 metres out because of the strong currents. Vung Tao beach is somewhere you might come once, and then try other beaches in Vietnam. It took us just over 2 hours by Grab taxi from Ho Chi Minh City to reach here at the cost of 1.1 million vnd. (Approximately £43) each way. We arranged with our driver for him to wait for us and we would pay the same for the return journey, which he was more than happy to do.

This beach has more trees than Back Beach, it also has free fresh water shower place along the street. It also has park besides the beach.
