Huangshan

Huangshan (Yellow Mountain) is a jagged range of more than 70 knifelike peaks in eastern China’s Anhui province. The region's low-hanging clouds, distinctively shaped granite rocks and twisted pine trees have been subjects of numerous classical paintings and poems. Cable cars provide access to several peaks, and steep paved trails with thousands of stone steps snake past many of the range's famous viewpoints.

Q&A about Huangshan

Hey Bonnie, I went to Shanghai for 3 weeks this summer and I got to visit Suzhou, which is beautiful! From what I remember, they have a lot of fruit stands and a particular ice cream stand by the water. I definitely recommend going on the boat ride. I made a video about Suzhou, it’s on my IGTV and Stories (@giovannyxmarquez). Aside from watertowns, the 2 most memorable places in Shanghai for me were Xintiandi and Tianzifang! Xintiandi at night almost feels like you’re in Manhattan, the whole vibe is amazing! We went to 3 restaurants there: The Refinery, Element, and a Japanese restaurant where you sit on the floor to eat. There’s a movie theater there too and a club right outside the movie theater. For Tianzifang, it was like no place I’ve been to before. It’s literally a whole bunch of alleys and alleys of nonstop food, bars, jewelry, clothing, and unique shops. This part of Shanghai is known for the arts so you might get that vibe too. I’m not sure what the weather is like in March, but it was so memorable in the summer. For both of these places, I recommend to go right before it starts to get dark to enjoy the transition into the nightlife. I wish I stayed longer so I could go back there again. If you like hotpot, I recommend you go to HaiDiLao, it’s amazing! There’s also this place called Live VIP where they have these mini raves on like the 5th floor of a building and it’s a really good time! Shanghai is massive and there’s so much to do! My friends and I did do tourist stuff too: Disney, Aquarium, Zoo, visiting outside the Oriental Pearl Tower. The lines at Disney were soooooo long 😭 we waited like 3.5 hours for one ride. The aquarium and zoo weren’t really worth it. The conditions for the animals were so bad, I left feeling sad. Looking at the Pearl tower was awesome though, the architecture and surrounding buildings were amazing. So different from what I’m used to seeing in NY. Hope this helps!
