Very nice park close to downtown Kitchener. Love the small bridges across the little ponds. There are quite a few play areas for kids and water fountains to beat the Summer. It's well maintained and can be crowded during summer specially on weekends. It also has a club available for party reservations. I usually go for a small evening stroll. Overall good vibes!

I'm just amazed at how beautiful this park is. It's gorgeous. Got a huge play place for kids and a splash pad. Really nice trail that goes in a circle around the park. There's fish in the pond!! It was serene.

My kids love this park. There are multiple play structures, swings, slides, a splash pad & tons of greenspace for games. Some areas are dedicated to younger children, as well as more challenging areas for older kids (my son is 13 and still loves this park) overall a clean park, structures are in good shape. Beautiful spot just to walk through as well. They do have public washrooms here and ice cream trucks / food trucks come through in the summer.

Victoria park is at the heart of Kitchener close to the downtown. The parking is a bit limited but there are some roadside parking available on parallel streets. The park has evolved over the years. There is an in-flux of goose infestation nowadays, because of which there are droppings everywhere. I would take a closer look before I put down my picnic blanket. The park has beautifully constructed bridges, well maintained gardens and a children's playpark. Take your snacks and water as there are no stores or water fountains nearby. The place gets really busy during weekends so if you have a wedding shoot planned arrive early morning. If you are lucky you will meet the beautiful swans and ducks floating under the bridge. There are strict instructions at different locations to not feed the birds. It is a good place to spend your evening sunset or a family gettogether.

One of the oldest parks in Kitchener. Very quiet and charming place. You can relax at the waterfront or stroll in the neighbourhood.

Beautiful place with a water splashing playground for kids. Good for a walk and has clock tower nearby making it more interesting. A little bridge in between with beautiful view. However parking would have been a problem despite of having 2 parking lots. It’s busy on weekends !!

A scenic natural spot for a weekend recreation, picnic and daily exercise. This historical park is in the heart of the town.

Very peaceful and relaxing park with lush green grass and large playground area. There is a small water pond as well but needs maintenance and cleaning. There is dedicated walking track and sitting benches all over the park. Finding a parking could be challenging over the weekends as it’s in the middle of residential area. Overall good place to visit with family, kids n elderly.

I love this park. This is a must-go place and one can enjoy the view and even peace 😊

It’s small but very compact and showcases the history of this region quite well. The historic village also looks amazing, although didn’t get to visit. Admission was free on the last hour, so, had to run to see all the displays, probably good to have 2 hours to see everything

If you want to learn the history of the Waterloo region, then it's the best place you can go. Good and informative stuff as well.

A well laid out museum chronicling the history of the Waterloo region and Canada at large. We went in Canada Day when the village was closed - a little disappointing considering that it covered half the museum grounds. Overall a good experience and fun with the family. The staff was very friendly. The establishment is very family friendly and has many provisions including a food court, a theatre, arts and crafts tables and mini outdoor games.

Finished our long weekend off here with the family. We had a blast going through the village and the museum. The price is great. The kids loved it and I had fun. I was very impressed that they had stuff to keep the kids busy, eye spy games and toys, through out the museum. Would recommend this place to others.

Great place with lots of interesting things to look at and many interactive stations. Wonderful for students studying history and geography. Highly recommended trip for home schoolers.

Simply a jewel in Waterloo Region....Claire is the best....she is bubblier than a can of 7-up....what a place to jog your memory banks if you grew up in Waterloo Region...

This is a great place to bring kids, or even to explore as adults. The village and museum are open to the general public all the time, but they also run educational programs for schools and camps, which are fantastic. I've visited many times and have always enjoyed my time there. This last visit I went with my daughter's class field trip. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. All the stops we visited had relevant hands-on activities that kept the kids engaged. The program was very educational and has evolved over the years to be more representative of all the people who have lived in the area. It used to be very Euro-centric and only focused on European settles, but now there is discussion of Black settlers and Indigenous people as well, which is great to provide a holistic view of the time period. Even though this is a period village based on early 20th century life, where accessibility wasn't even an afterthought, the Region of Waterloo has done a great job of adding ramps to buildings where they could. There are, of course, houses that have narrow and/or steep staircases to get to the second floor, but accessibility where feasible has been made a priority. The museum next to the village is a modern and fully accessible facility. The museum has great exhibits, which rotate out to provide new experiences on different visits. They are well thought out, professional, and provide great insight into our local history. There are events run throughout the year, such as the Country Christmas, and Doon by Lantern Guided Tour, which is always popular and sells out quickly. Again, I've visited many times, both with and without kids, and I have always enjoyed my time there. Very much recommended.

Amazing Bee exhibit going on currently! Lots of local and regional history displays and artifacts to check out. Bought a family membership as can't see and read up on everything in one go. Looking forward to future visits :)

We visited on a Family Day and our experience was really good. On the same day, they had an event name Backyard Bird and we enjoyed that too. Doon heritage village was closed before we enter there. Next time we will keep some extra time to cover all the parts of the museum and honor their efforts.

Really relaxing and friendly environment at this museum. We are lucky to have it right here in Kitchener. It's a very well organized space with activities and things to see and do for all ages. I highly recommend this place if the fast pace of modern life is overwhelming you, just walk through the old village and transport yourself back to 1914 when life was much simpler :)

One of the best museums in Ontario for sure. The indoor gallery and heritage houses are all amazing. A lot of cool exhibits and interesting things to discover. If you get used to the traditional big museum like ROM, you will absolutely be surprised by the immersive experience this museum offers. I will come back for revisit and spend a whole day in there.

i went there with my family earlier and we all had a great time! it’s so interesting to be able to learn about how people from a different time used to live. the walk through doon village was super fun and informative and the guides there were all very friendly and willing to answer questions!

I always have a great time here. I recommend getting here early because from 9 to 11 or later they are very empty and you can get personal tours of everything from the people in costume. Often times the houses have a treat or some interesting beverage to try when you visit. They have a horse and buggy ride and a myriad of other activities throughout the day to attend. There is an indoor section to enjoy but the outdoor town is where it's at. If you have kids I highly recommend it but it can also be enjoyed as an interesting and unique date activity.

We have been to Bingemans a few times over the years. We have always enjoyed the campgrounds, the water park and the amenities. This time was no different, the kids always have a blast, and are beat out by the end of the day. The staff and life guards were great, helpful and attentive. Some parts of the park are showing it’s age, but they seem to do a great job keeping it up and making the grounds look nice. Would definitely recommend for a family trip, a great camping experience and days full of fun. Especially for younger kids.

Visited a few times in 2019 and had a blast!!! The slide selection is pretty good. They have a selection of easy slides to higher, more adult oriented slides. The wave pool was pretty good with decent size waves. The water was definitely colder than we’re used to at other parks. And that would be the only downside. As for space, the park is not really that busy so the wait times for rides and attractions aren’t long at all! Getting a chair is simple and there is lots of space to relax! Tons of games and indoor attractions to hang out when the kids get tired of the water. Lots of parking and easily accessible from the road! Definitely recommend.

Fun for the family. However, there should be signs (or a note when you buy tickets) indicating that bracelets, rings, glasses should be taken off before you come. If you were wearing anything you had to take it off and then leave it in a container. The worst part was that after your ride you had to climb all the way back up and get your stuff. Park has seen better days and yes they are remodelling but it’s expensive for the conditions. Wait time between each rider is ridiculously slow. The life guards don’t efficiently let people go.

Gift of Lights display is an excellent value! The drive through display is well laid out and very attractive. The Jingle Rock walking tour is stunning !

Went bowling, had some pizza & wings. It was fun.

The park is considerable small, and the rides limited. Additionlly, I had a bad experience in the food court, with Hero Burgers and Pizza Pizza. HERO Burger made my order wrong twice!!! And the staff is desorganized.

Do not waste your money!! This waterpark is full of camp kids even before you enter at 10am. Counsellors are taking the tubes and mats at the end of the slide for their camp kids only. Day pass users waiting over an hour to get a tube or mat. Wave pool not on to allow gentle water for the pool full of camp kids. After 10 years of coming this us our last.

Our family recently embarked on a water park adventure at Bingemans Big Splash, and despite some initial setbacks, it turned out to be a day filled with laughter, excitement, and unforgettable memories. Upon arrival, we were greeted by an unexpected rain shower, but luckily, we had booked a cabana to make our day more comfortable. However, to our disappointment, the cabana seemed to have been neglected after its previous use. Debris from the previous renter was scattered around, and the cushions were wet. Determined not to let this dampen our spirits, we took matters into our own hands, flipping the cushions and moving them to the side to make the most of our shelter while waiting for the rain to pass. As the skies cleared, we decided to dive into the wave pool, only to find it filled with dirt and debris despite being among the first to take a plunge. Goggles, hair ties, Band-Aids, and other unwanted items bobbed around, detracting from the otherwise refreshing experience. While the cleanliness was somewhat disappointing, we managed to find joy amidst the waves and made the most of the moment. The real highlights of Bingemans Big Splash were undoubtedly the water slides. They proved to be an absolute blast, providing us with exhilarating moments of excitement and adrenaline rushes. We couldn't help but let out gleeful screams as we whizzed down the slides, creating cherished memories of shared laughter and joy. However, one aspect that did hinder our slide-filled adventures was the wait time. The signal system, used to indicate when the slide was clear for the next person, operated at a frustratingly slow pace. This resulted in longer queues and occasionally disrupted the flow of the slide lines. A more efficient system, such as a light system, could significantly improve the overall experience and keep the excitement going. Midway through the day, the sun decided to grace us with its presence, casting away the clouds and allowing us to bask in its warmth. Despite the earlier disappointments of cleanliness and slow lines, the radiant sun infused our spirits with renewed energy, making the overall atmosphere more enjoyable. While we hoped to refuel ourselves at the snack bar, it was unfortunate to find that many items on the menu were unavailable. This limited selection left us with fewer choices than we had anticipated, but we managed to find satisfying options to keep us energized throughout the day. In conclusion, our day at Bingemans Big Splash was a mix of highs and lows. The initial disappointment with the cabana's cleanliness and the condition of the wave pool was unfortunate. However, the thrill of the water slides and the eventual appearance of the sun saved the day, turning it into a truly enjoyable experience. While improvements in cleanliness and queue management would elevate the water park's overall appeal, the sheer fun of the water slides made it a day well worth spending with family and friends. So, if you're prepared to embrace the excitement and accept the occasional imperfections, Bingemans Big Splash promises a day of thrills and splashes you won't soon forget.

We are season pass holders. This is definitely a fun spot to enjoy some time at! Slides are awesome, wave pool is lots of fun and the splash pad is full of different fun things. Ice cream is great and a fair price!Down side-Blue chunks from a ramp are all over the bottom of the wave pool. The ramp has been blocked off for a few weeks (waiting on repair?!?!) The splash pad is not working due to a main break (it's been broken for 2 weeks now). You can still play on it but no water) So if you have a child under 10 you must join them in the wave pool. I sometimes like to sit on the sidelines well my son plays in the splash pad and I can relax after a day's work. Hopefully it's fixed soon. If you want to eat I definitely recommend eating at Boston pizza. The food at Big splash is over priced and really not great tasting!

The walk through gift of lights is a great addition. Very pretty and festive.

As soon as you walk in you smell pee. Once you get past that the play structure is great. The games were a waste. Most weren't working. When we informed the staff that one of the games didn't give us enough balls and didn't recognize a bullseye shot all they did was give us credit for the one game. No tickets that we earned but didn't receive. Such a shame. We used to love it there.

This is a great place for a weekend with the kids. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. I wish every resort/campground trained their employees as well as here. I didn't get to see the whole campground but the one we were in was ok. It wasn't very private but it was good enough. There are alot of different things for the kids as well as adults. I'm only dissatisfied with the price. I'm sure if we planned ahead we could have gotten a better package but for a family on a budget it could be as expensive if not more than wonderland. Only reason for the 4 stars is cost.

This is a nice little water park in Waterloo. Purchase your ticket online to save some dollars and be able to enter faster. We purchased the Wednesday special so that allowed us free access to Funworks, an indoor play area. You cannot take your own food inside but there are several options inside which you can avail. Life jackets are available for all children under 10 years. You could rent a floater and you are not allowed to get your own floater. It’s got something for all ages. They also have seasonal passes. Must try this summer.

A great place to spend a few hours with kids. I would say this is a great indoor playground/activity center stylized as a museum. My 2 and 4 year old kids loved it.

Stopped in to check out THEMUSEUM to see if it's someplace our kids would enjoy at their age groups. Even as adults we were intrigued and had fun. EYEPOOL was very cool. It's a good way to spend a couple hours. We will be bringing the kiddos to check it out next time as there's enough activities to keep them interested. They enjoyed the stuff we brought them from the gift shop and can't wait to go meet the axolotl for themselves.

We went to the Unzipped Rolling Stones show and it a truly amazing experience. Exceptional quality of exhibits from world-wide. The clothes, the art, the reconstruct apt of the Stones were breath taking. First class exhibit. Most things at this Museum are excellent!

You can go through the entire museum in about 1 hour. There's about 4 floors to walk through (elevators and stairs are both available). It's less of a "historical" museum, and more of a "cool things to interact with" museum (e.g., plasma globe and interactive art). We went on a Saturday morning, and it wasn't busy. The staff was friendly. :) It's affordable — especially for kids. For 2 adults, it costs about $39 (after tax and transaction fees). We bought out tickets online. It's primarily catered towards children — not adults. But adults might still find it interesting. As a date spot for an adult couple, I'd give it a 4/5. The place could have been cleaner. Overall, we enjoyed our time here. And appreciate the effort and affordability. 😊

The museum has lots of activities for family with kids, even adults can be engaged. We really enjoyed new experiences which took us 3 hours. It’s an old building but they kept it clean. Clean washrooms. Small nursery nook. Inside elevator and stairs. So friendly staff. We loved EYEPOOL. Highly recommended.

Spent two hours there viewing the Unzipped exhibit - the Rolling Stones history. Very well done Interactive and lots of information given on their journey. Wardrobe, album covers, model of their flat, and music playing throughout the exhibit all made for a great afternoon. Finale of their concert in Havana was well worth it all!

Really enjoyed our visit. Very kid friendly experience and also kept us adults amused and engaged. We will post a few pics here and trust that your visit will also be an eye opening event. Enjoy. Michael & Marina

If You are in Kitchener, haven't visited this place yet!? I would strongly recommend visit it at least once. It is a Very Beautiful Mix of Art and Science. It's 3rd and 4th floor has many cool stuff. It's for all, from kids to old everyone will find everything to be very interesting and amazing. 3rd Floor has lots of activities like, Eye Loop, Water maze, Infraed Video, One section has film making in frame by frame that is way cool, etc. 4th floor has some amazing stories and slight adventure experience. It's good place to go on Date too. It has lot's of cool stuff to do together. ❤️😇

Be sure to keep your ticket crisp as a new bill and scan slowly!

Visited for the first time to attend a latin dance event. The venue is beautiful and spacious. There's a large coat check available, very handy during Canadian winters. There is a bar on site. The venue clearly indicated that outside food or drink is not allowed. Unfortunately, the security staff insisted that we were not permitted to bring in our empty water bottle as water was provided inside. The amount of disposable cups wasted during this event was extensive and could have easily been prevented. In addition, because the plastic cups offered didn't have lids, this led to spills. I really hope they reconsider this policy.

Visited from Burlington prior far but worth it for kids nice activities and learning experiences in stem. Loved the activity Center in basement for them to explore there creativity must visit and hope to visit it again soon

I visited The Museum for the first time yesterday for the High Vibe Women's event. What a beautiful place to hold an event! I can't wait to come back to experience The Museum again!!

I go to the Brush Off every year. Plenty of fun. Good bar. The art auction is fun too.

Visited THEMUSEUM for the first time with my family. We bought weekday tickets and went for 6 pm. When we arrived it wasn't very busy. We were greeted by friendly staff who checked us in and explained all the options on the various floors. We went to visit the "EYE POOL" to experience the impossible geometries. It was very unique and our kids had a lot of fun playing with the various shapes. The place was really clean (even the bathroom) and we enjoyed our visit. I recommend people trying the eye pool for sure before it's gone.

Had the pulled pork sandwich. Tasted good but meat could have been pulled apart more. But also a bite of vegan chili which was good. But I should have doubled down on the beer dip and chorizo dip! So good! Beer was good too.. Wish I wasn't the DD so I could've had more.

I was here last night for drag bingo with Crystal Quartz. What a fun night. She's a great entertainer. We'll be back again. The venue is great and they had some excellent beers. If you're looking for something fun to do, check out the calendar here. There's a ton of different events every week. I wish I tried some food because I've heard it's great but we had dinner before coming.

Neat little brewery. Definitely a place to stop by & check out if in the area. Clean & tidy! Got a large space for an event if wishing to host one there. We enjoyed the beer but nothing stood out to us. We played some board games but not too well maintained; missing pieces. Not a huge deal, nice to see they are at least available. I’m sure that’s common in any free use situations, especially if donated. Easy to get to, just off main streets & enough space to park in the back. Grab & go area was well stocked.

Came here with some friends and it was a great atmosphere! They highly enjoyed it and so did I. We loved the customer service it was definitely exceptional and we will be coming back again!

Generally a fun time here. Lots going on all the time, and the food from Little Mushroom catering is great. Haven't found a beer that really stands out, everything seems just okay from what I've tried.

Stopped by to check out the place and turned out to be drag night, had a great time! Looks like they have lots of events every night. Really liked the cocktail and beer flight we got. The place is self service, bartenders were great.

Well, I thought I had left a Google Review already, but it must have been on Trip Advisor. Hosted part of my milestone birthday celebrations at Descendants. Several of my Friends had been there for Trivia Nights and really enjoyed themselves, so thought I'd check it out. I found their online process, and Team very easy to work with. They had economical food choices, and I ordered a small buffet type meal for 28 people. Food was delicious, and we had lots. Staff were attentive. Glad I chose Descendants for my special day. Most of my Guests were first time visitors, and they really enjoyed it there. Live entertainment was an added bonus.

I’ve seen a lot of bad reviews about the staff here however the staff are very mistreated by the management. Snow school staff take a 1000$ course and have to buy their own uniform from Chicopee costing 400$. And after you complete those steps they tell you you will be making minimum wage. They also offer only a 5% discount on food items for employees. With a staff room that can seat 10 people when they have hundreds of employees. When an employee tries to sit at an empty table management tells us to move because it’s for “paying customers only” when the staff have to pay almost the same price. The management also puts a lot of stress on the employees dumping groups of 10-15 people on one instructor with little to no help. The management also feels the need to micromanage all of the employees telling them how to do their job when they are already doing it correctly. Instead of forgiveness for an employees small mistake after waiting in a mile long line for food and eating it in 5 minutes if you are 30 seconds late you will be written up. This is hands down the worst place I have ever worked and if you are thinking of applying save yourself some time and energy and don’t. If you are a customer don’t give this company that mistreats their employees any money.

Great place to learn how to ski. Especially great for younger children who can take advantage of the fantastic learning to ski programs offered at this hill. Best part is that it’s so close to the GTA and offers really convenient access. Basically you can pull up right next to the hill, unload all your gear and get ready for the day. The restaurant offers a really good breakfast at a reasonable price which is perfect for parents waiting on their kids who are enrolled in ski lessons. Highly recommend this place. Good stepping stone before hitting the bigger hills. Gives kids and adults a level of comfort and ability to practice their skills.

Our experience was good. The staff was helpful but it is too expensive for rentals and other tickets. So that's something they can work on. However, the food area was good and affordable.

This is a good learning hill. It's small and the lines are long, but it's a good local option without having to drive far on a weekly basis for lessons for the kids. There are three lifts and depending on who is working them, often, each chair is not at capacity (i.e. there is only one or two people on the 3- or 4-person chairlift). I get some people may not be comfortable sharing, but that contributes to the long lines. The staff have been kind and helpful, as my daughter was more advanced than her initial group and the instructors had no problems changing her group. We have our own equipment, so I can't speak to the rental experience, but I see the line-ups are often long. There's a small terrain park that the kids enjoy, and which typically has a much shorter line-up. The staff keep some fires going outside, which is a nice way to warm up the hands a bit in-between runs. Again, it's a good hill to learn to ski, but if you're a regular skier, you'll find the runs short and will likely find a better experience elsewhere. Still, it's a good option to spend a day out with the family.

Cute ski hill with just enough hills for a day of skiing! Perfect for beginners and enough of a challenge on their black diamond. The staff are so kind and helpful. My daughter's come here for lessons and after many tears before their first lesson they were reluctant to leave after their first lesson. They loved it and we're hooked after lesson #1. The parents typically ski while kids are in their lesson or enjoy a glass of wine in the lodge. Food is excellent as well! And live music in the evening! Love it.

The state of the operations and value for your dollar are both so low here, consider alternatives. Expect long line ups, very little service from staff, slow lifts, and an overwhelmed system not properly prepared for loads on peak days. Other notable issues: -lineups for rentals were somewhere between 1-3 hr wait times. Kiss your skiing time goodbye. -Parking lot is so tight that you’ll have to circle and race another person, in the slush, to that open spot two rows over -lineups for lineups (proof of vaccine, lift tickets, the lifts themselves) and poor signage. Photos show the lineups inside and out. -bathrooms are all touch fixtures of every kind, highly out of date and cramped with even a few users at once -Did I mention the lifts are slow and stop constantly? -No children rates so expect to pay $200+ for a family visit -No half day or discounts available, not even a seniors rate? -Night skiing used to start at 5pm, now it’s 2 hours of the worst conditions for 62% of the price -No capacity limits to keep the hill operating smoothly (just pile more people in!) -No ability to pre-purchase lift tickets ahead to time to alleviate lineups

Very well maintained and managed facility. The staff is super helpful, well trained, and polite. Training slopes have an escalator. The chairlifts were clean. They have a nice restaurant, but options are limited. Highly recommended to spend 4 to 5 hours here.

Amazing experience! It was mg boyfriends and I first time skiing EVER! EVERYONE was so nice, helpful and encouraging. Every staff member we came across seemed to love their job. We are super impressed by the knowledge and helpfulness. We came from niagara and We decided to take the discovery package and our instructor was amazing! We will for sure be back. Thank you for making our experience enjoyable

Just loved it. Amazing experience we had. Price is a bit on a higher note. But for one time visit it's amazingly fantastic. You have to get you own gear. If not the charge would be like 100$ per person. So you can stay as long as you want. But main thing is that you have to check the weather and go. Before and after 3 days it's better if it doesn't rain. Snow is better. Mind you if it's your first time it will definitely ache you back so gear up with some thick clothes. You will definitely fall trust me. Many times. But it's fun. They will train you for a first couple of mins and you are free to go for your own mountain and enjoy.

I brought my teens to ski for the day. They had a great time. The menu has a good variety of items. I loved the curry/ red- lentil soup. Tables and chairs are both indoors and outside at the bottom of the hill. Nice bathrooms. Lots of stalls and sinks. The driveway is very bumpy, in need of work.

This place is best at its ease. It's NOT too crowded and has many Ski lanes. 2 Lanes for Training Center, each about 100 meters. The price is slightly higher than other places. Staff at ski are very polite and helpful. level of ice was low maybe its was about end of season that is why.

For new learners it’s the best park, way better than Glen eden. Beginners get a chair lift here, elsewhere they only get escalator ramps. Beginner slopes are not too steep. Their cafe a vegetarian options other than fries which is good. Rentals and passes could be cheaper.

I went snowboarding here. The small slopes are perfect for learning! Not too steep, but steep enough that you go at a decent speed for learning. Had an overall great experience!

Such poorly run hill. Owned by the city of Kitchener, no surprise there why it has such bad service. Have met some nice dedicated staff through the years so feel bad for the culture coming from top down. They were covid nazis and now forcing kids to ski in slush and mud because they rather not issue refunds! Zero concerns about injuries! Too bad... 😵‍💫

Great hills for a beginner. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rental area was well stocked. It’s about the same price as other hills in the area. I just wish the night ski hours were longer!

We really enjoyed our Sunday here. The staff are very friendly and no one is presumptuous, a fact that our family appreciates because we are new to the slopes! The rental process is very simple, and the staff is very knowledgeable and patient. Bring your own goggles! They are not for rent here. $315 (all in) to get beginner lift tickets and rentals for three teens. Lift tickets are upgradeable if you outgrow the smaller hills.
