Excellent library!! The librarians are always helpful and friendly. The Doris Kearns Goodwin event was fabulous! It was so well organized and her presentation was spectacular! Truly an evening to remember.

Awesome library! Been here several times, they've got a decent book collection, a VERY nice cafe inside with very nice staff, and a good section upstairs with tables, chairs, and outlets, if you want to come here to do some work or study :)

I am a member of the Champaign Public Library. I don't owe a late fee, wasn't causing trouble, wasn't being loud, had my stuff in a corner out of the way. Looking for resources for a place to stay and cool from the heat and the manager guy walked up to me and said we can't accommodate you and you have too much luggage with you and made me leave. I thought Champaign was better than this.

I have never lived in a town with such a dynamic library! There are writers programs, and programs to help people who want to start businesses, and they are building expanded facilities in the basement for doing sound recordings...oh, yeah, and they have books. I've seen libraries that want to do away with books. Which seems dumb to me. They have a great collection of videos, too. My favorite part, though, is walking into the building. The lobby is an art gallery with a new installation of art every season. It never fails to make me smile when I walk in!

Not sure how you could have a bad experience here! This library has always been great. Very knowledgable and friendly staff, ton of options, great movie selections, and best place to study. Definitely a gem of our town!

I appreciate that you can use computers free of charge and there's only a small fee ($.15) for copies.

As a student, the staff are very rude. Sometimes when I’m inside the restroom a lady will come up and tell me to hurry up, just because im looking in the mirror. Other times when im looking at the 2$ book collection I get told to move and not stand there. The staff are very rude, and immature twords children. I dont know what made them mad but they arent the nicest twords children/teens. I get some are rude but a lot of us are nice and just want a place to study.

This place is low key awesome. Super bright and welcoming. Great place to take kids to read and play. Lots of great books. There are computers and iPads for play along with lots of toys.

This library is a work of art. It has everything. Wheelchair accessibility, it’s bright and airy, two sets of bathrooms on each floor, the staff is fantastic, I have never had a problem getting anything I wanted or needed from the collection. They even have a dedicated play area for the kids, even quiet places set away for kids to independently play or read and comfortable chairs spaced out for anyone to relax and read. They have meeting rooms, computers and tablets for use, and quiet rooms.

This is an amazing library! It’s enormous, the staff is friendly, and they have a coffee shop. They’ll have just about anything you need.

A very good facility in the college town, for out-of-town visitors. Ample parking and spacious reading area. There is also a small cafe in the building.

First time getting library card: 10/10 experience Zeph helped me get a library card today and showed me everything I needed to know about the Champaign Library…so welcoming and kind and I can’t wait to come back. Fantastic library, I feel like you can always find something exciting here. The children's area has a really lovely play space, with lots of cool, interactive art and toys for a variety of ages. There are comfy chairs with chargers for the guardians, and all gender restrooms with changing tables. The adult sections are well stocked, and the librarians have always been friendly and eager to help. The cafe is tiny but mighty, and has a good selection, including both snacks and sandwiches. There's lots here to discover - this is an award winning library for a reason, and there's a wealth of programs and resources to tap into, both in person and online. This is also a LGBT+ safe space. I remember the library as a magical place as a kid (let's be honest, even as an adult) and I look forward to showing my kids that.

The library is really neat! The selection is amazing too! Most staff are super nice as well! Some staff are not friendly unfortunately. Received implicit bias from them on multiple occasions and won’t be visiting anymore sadly because of them.

This library is beautiful! Truly one of our favorite places. Not only do they have amazing collections, but the space is beautiful. There's a wonderful children's section with a technology space and a play space. They offer a wide variety of classes and groups for all ages. It's a perfect place to study, work, or just relax and enjoy the quiet.

This park is amazing. There are several sculptures and aesthetic structures along the path. The walking path is also huge. I wish I knew here before. This place is a hidden gem.

Very good and well maintained playground for kids. The trails through the prairie are excellent. Nice sculptures along the way. Plenty of parking.

I recently visited my first "sculpture garden." There aren't too many benches, so if you plan to explore it, bring a water bottle along because we couldn't find any other water fountains nearby, except for the park further away. The garden is quite extensive with numerous paths to explore. If you enjoy art or architecture, it's definitely worth visiting due to the variety of sculptures and installations.

Great park. Awesome sculptures and breathtaking prairie views. Highly recommend for all types of recreation.

Nice trails and good park to walk

One of the best walking paths in a park that the UIUC campus can offer. The wildflower walk is very good. During summer, there are lots of flowers blooming. It's definitely a worth exploring place around the campus.

This is a great trail for walking, jogging, or biking. I walked the 1.55 mile trail almost every day I was visiting my family. Not too busy at 7 am. Saw deer almost every day.

It's an Art / Nature mashup. Beautiful paved trail through stunning prairie. In summertime the prairie is a rainbow of wildflowers and berries. Large sculptures from a variety of artist scattered all throughout. Such a nice place to walk and run. Also features small sections of wetlands, stream, several side trails, pavilion, porta potty (👍), and large wooden playground.

Probably my favorite place to go around here.. Love the sculptures and the paved trails.

Not only is the playground fun. It is also a great place to take a hike and look at artwork!

A nice stadium but small for college standards. The fans are definitely all in for their Illini team but not as many fans showing up anymore unfortunately.

I had the most beautiful day today. The Cherry trees were in full bloom and many took the opportunity to snap a selfie or two among the white and pink petals. Truly a spectical to behold and a unique opportunity to see nature in all its glory.

We went to see The Fighting Illini take on Chattanooga. It was a night game complete with fireworks and fun. Cool Pop Bliss was there and we had their amazing popcorn. The stadium is amazing to watch a game in.

No other stadium compares. I do think a new mascot is in order as they do all the historical stuff with an invisible chief it feels quite empty. It's creepy to honor an invisible chief. But otherwise we enjoyed it so much we want to plan another trip next year.

Been coming here since I was a kid. Historic and full of memories. Love the Big Screen, the fans, Fireworks and Sound System. ILL-INI. Illinois football.

We were in the area to visit family and decided to go to a game. Parking was pretty simple with getting in and out. The seating inside is pretty tight, was close to the field so had to stand a lot. Concession was really busy/long line, but they moved through it really well.

Can't give five stars, it's not Camp Randall. Notable is plenty of bathrooms, no lines during game, short lines before and after. Warm water for hand washing. As all schools, visitors stuck in corner of end zone. We won anyway!

Huge college campus. Stopped here with the visiting team for season game opener. Football games are totally cashless. Variety of food to choice from in the Football area. Plenty of security around the campus and we felt totally comfortable walking back to our cars later in the night. Tailgating is HUGE at this college! I have to say the grounds were not trashed after the game, which was a nice.

I love this stadium. Had so much fun with my daughter and her friend at the game!

Always good for home games, especially when your team is winning 🙂 Have some fun regardless of scores

Great venue for college football and to watch fighting Illini. Tailgating to the west of the stadium is an experience. Not a bad view from inside the stadium. If you're a college football fan, this is the place to be on a Saturday in Champaign!

My visit to the University of Illinois Memorial Stadium was truly impressive. The stadium's grand architecture and spacious seating provided a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere for the game. The facilities were well-maintained and clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The view of the field from any seat was fantastic, and the overall experience was top-notch. I also appreciated the rich history and sense of tradition that the stadium exudes. It's an excellent venue to watch college football and a must-visit for any sports enthusiast

It was the first time there since the remodel. It is very nice! Remember when somebody predicted it was going to collapse back in the 70s?

Went to see Bluey Play. My kids loved it. Only for stars because we were looking for more variety of food and all they had was pizza and the regular. We just knew they would have 🍔

First game at this stadium. Easy access and smooth entry even with virus protocols. Incredible game also, Purdue pulled off the win in 2OT!

Parking was easy for a women's basketball game. The outer concourse seemed wide enough, but the internal concourse was very narrow and often resulted in stand stills. The building was easy to find, was clean & the staff was elderly and helpful. I was surprised to learn the concession stands were self- help to order, which was fine. The issue came with the massive backlog of orders & the humans trying to keep up. I missed the whole second quarter of the game waiting for food. This was a major issue & should be rectified as quickly as possible.

Awesome from the outside like a UFO. would like to come back for an Illini basketball game soon.

Enjoy the events held at this venue! For many a space ship, for CU residents much more! Just saw Foreigner and the acoustics were great for their farewell tour!

Great remodel my first visit since college in 2007. They did a great job of keeping assembly hall with lots of modern upgrades

We had a good time at the Kid Laroi concert earlier this month. The facilities were clean and tidy for how many people attended, and the employees serving food and drinks were very kind and respectful to my family and I. Security did a good job removing a drunk guy that was getting a little too aggressive and rowdy with other patrons. Overall a great experience. This was my third show here in 15 years and it’s always been a good vibe.

Haven't been back there since they remodeled. It looks very nice now. Seating was the same cramped seats. I am 6'4" tall and it's very uncomfortable to sit thru a concert. Sound level could've better.

Facility is very clean and nice. Only drawback was legroom in seats. Staff for parking and inside were great.

Always a great time watching Illinois basketball. The venue team is kind and helpful and that is appreciated as well.

Went to see the spider verse in concert! It is a nice venue, the sound was good, the visuals were good no matter where you sat. Food prices aren’t bad compared to bigger city stadiums. It is always clean when I come too. I look forward to other events here

After a tiring week of band camp, we finished it off with a performance in the most beautiful stage I have ever played in so far. The sound produces perfectly around for the audience to hear. The ceiling also looks dynamically built for different music selections. If you may be looking for a music orchestra or band you want to hear, this is my favorite choice!

Unfortunately I could not enjoy the show we went to see, because I was too scared to take my seat as the ostensible "no steps" section had instead been on an overhanging balcony. I mean come now, I can't be the only one who's using the handicapped/no step areas to avoid falls due to POTS?! 😞

The performers for the Carnaval event were amazing, but the experience made me not want to visit again. It seemed like a great idea, with a jazz band & 'street' performers in the lobby before the show. Then the jazz band led the acrobats & audience from the lobby into the theater. The theater allowed audience members to sit & watch performances from a variety of operas. Here's where it all went bad. Me & my family went to our seats in the theater but the row was so full the 3 of us couldn't sit in our assigned seats. We went back to the top of the theater & an employee said she would look into getting us reassigned seats. She didn't return. So we split up, with me going to sit in a single seat close to the front as I wanted to get the experience for which I paid (5 times the lowest priced tickets). Then I was constantly distracted by people raising their phones to take photos or record the performance. I watched 2 different employees come up on 4 occasions to tell people to stop. The 5th time this happened I got up to tell the patron it was annoying & then left. Flashing phones & not being able to sit in the seats that I bought, no thanks. Great 'street' and operatic performers! Sorry you had to perform in a theater that treats audiences like they're seeing a rock concert.

I've been here for lectures, poetry readings, and concerts. It's a really nice multipurpose venue. Usually has food and drink available prior to events. I must say that the steps up to the building are formidable. There must be an accessible entrance somewhere but so far I haven't found it.

Loved the Nutcracker. Everyone should see this ballet at least once. Krannert is fabulous and the staff are wonderful. A great place.

A beautiful concert venue on the U of I campus with a variety of performance spaces, a gorgeous lobby area, a Cafe, and gift shop. This space frequently hosts world-class musical, dance, and theater performances. It also often offers free and family-friendly events.

Lots of theaters inside. Snack bar. Lots of parking in garages. Huge building.

Nice building. It is mainly fun to be here when an event is holding.

Beautiful historic theatre with great prices. They will also make seating accomodations (larger seats in the back) if you need to be more comfortable like myself.

This theater is magnificent. Well trained staff and their volunteers are warm, friendly and a great asset to this magnificent structure creating an experience like no other. This well managed theater is very clean, seats were comfortable and in good condition. The balcony and orchestra pit are all very nice. Lots of free parking and handicap accessible entrance. A classic old-world theater that is well maintained and hosts great shows. We happened to be visiting, and the wife couldn't miss the opportunity to see the Hassan Minhaj show. She was able to buy the tickets at the last minute and we got to see the show. The theater is quaint, well kept, and staffed by many seniors who volunteer. A great experience seeing them help you out whether it's the parking meter you are trying to operate after the mandated hours or getting you to the seats. While trying to unravel the mystery of the parking meter, one kind gent shouted out that it's free on weekends. The theater was jammed with all the kids and parents of the kids who study at the university. The seats are comfortable, and the aisle between the rows is roomy so someone can pass on to their seats. However, the seats lack basic features like a cup holder and anything to rest your drink or popcorn. The bathrooms are nice and well kept, but I'm not sure if they have disabled access to handicapped as they are on an upper level with a stairway. There is a lack of privacy in the stalls as there's a big gap between the door and the stall partition. The show itself was good, though there was a lot of inappropriate content for less than 18 years old. The opening act from a resident comedian contained the most profanities, which made us wonder if we should exit the theater as we had a 16-year-old and an almost 13-year-old. Some of the content from Mr. Minhaj was timely, timeless, and served to highlight the current problems of the world relating to politics, social, religious issues.

The Virginia Theatre is a great place to see shows & concerts. I saw Leanne Rhymes here in concert. There is not a bad seat in the house and the staff working are fantastic.

I attended a concert last night and had a marvelous time. I especially wanted to thank the staff and volunteers. I am recovering from a broken ankle, and my daughter and I received such kind service. It was amazing. Thank you.

Never been to this theatre before this was my first time . My wife and I went there to see Zach Williams and weren't disappointed... Clean, professional staff, not too big,the full experience. Would go there again even with the several hour drive.

Stephanie and the staff in box office are amazing and so helpful!! Highly recommend the Virginia Theatre and the annual Ebertfest event.

The Virginia is such a great movie theatre. They show all kinds of movies from oldies to new art films. Staff is wonderful and the place is very clean. I have seen several films such as Nosferatu there and the experience has always been excellent. Tickets are cheap too! They also have the best popcorn I have ever had in a theatre. Give the Virginia a try if they had a film that you would love to see on the old silver screen.

I've never had a bad experience watching a show here, whether live bands, performances, or movies. The bathrooms are a bit cramped. Concession prices are very reasonable.

Wonderful theater with friendly staff, great ambiance and good acoustics. The venue fit the surprisingly engrossing Ancient Aliens live rather well.

I have loved this place since I was a child! Hosts great performances, movies, and events! It is *gorgeous* on the inside. My husband and I got married here in August 2023 and I cannot recommend it highly enough as a wedding venue. The staff are all *amazing* and absolute professionals - they worked with us to design the lighting, sound, staging, and other elements of the day. They were attentive to our requests and worked with us in the months leading up to the wedding to incorporate things we wanted and to brainstorm in areas where we didn't have many ideas. Our wedding was beautiful and fun and so much of that was thanks to the amazing staff at the Virginia.

GREAT venue! We had balchony seats for Ann Wilson & Tripsitter on July 27th. Such a great concert!! The Virginia Theatre is a great Champaign, IL gem.

Beautifully restored vintage theater housing film and performance. Home of Ebert Fest film festival Great management. Fantastic volunteer. Stellar productions both local and from out of town. Some pretty big-name acts. Contemporary and classic stage productions, which run the range of being suitable for all ages throughout the year. Very nice green rooms for visiting talent and crews. I'm a regular!

Sure, the seats are not as comfortable as in a modern theater, but the atmosphere can't be beat and the prices on concessions are very reasonable. Plus the volunteers are always very friendly. Great place to see a classic flick.
