This was a quick loop trail with some cool informative boards discussing the history of the caves and the hand paintings from thousands of years ago. It feels great to be in such a place with a long history and relevance for the Native Americans. I would definitely stop by if in Billings, only 15 minutes outside of town.

This was a cool place. We were able to stretch our legs and see some cool sites. The shop has some great souvenirs.

This was one of the side stops during our road trip. There is a trail that you walk along to see the different areas of this park. Some of the pictographs are hard to see, but after looking at the signs, it makes it easier to make out what you are looking at. There are a lot of bird’s nests on the ceiling, so if you have a fear of birds you may want to steer clear.

Pictograph State Park was a pretty neat stop on our visit to Billings. It was pretty fun to do the short little hike and see the drawings on the wall of the cave. Time has washed a lot of it away but you can still see it if you look close. The hike was not bad at all and the little kids had no trouble making it on their own. There are some portions that are steep, however, it is not for very long. The park is well maintained and I would recommend a stop.

Positively beautiful. The pictographs are fading, but you can still see some. I imagine the minimal exposure would cause that. It's a quiet place. The walks to the caves are each individually kinda steep, but we met a few people with knee replacement and stuff that were doing just fine. I saw a lot of wild catnip! 😁If you are not accustomed to that sort of hiking, just take a break.They have benches around for exactly that, and for simply taking in the atmosphere of the place. If the awe of the history of this place doesn't get to you, I feel bad for you.

This gorgeous park is only a 20 min drive from Billings downtown and so worth it. You can trek the entire park and read all of the informational plaques, plus take pics in 30 mins. Mostly paved, groomed trails but we did all of the non- groomed trails as well in under 30 mins. The less athletically inclined might take an hour max. Just gorgeous and a lot of history.

What a unique place to visit! The fall colors looked beautiful up against the backdrop of the caves. Most of the paths are paved. Allowing for an ease of walking up to the cave. Recommend going right when they open to see the pretty scenes highlighted by the morning sky. Super glad I stopped and visited!

Today April 7th, 2023 we visited this beautiful park. Unfortunately we came just an hour before closing time so was not be able to explore all. But our short time there was very informative and enjoyable. This park is so different then any other park. This place have history which dates back thousands of years old yet there is very nice trial, picnic area and a visitors centre. There is charge $8 for out of province vehicle I believe it’s free for locals. Very nice drive to the parking spot. Must visit if you are either passing by or visiting Billing’s. 5 stars all the way.

This is a breathtaking park and it’s not crowded. There’s a small visitor center and a bathroom. There’s also a picnic are. It’s amazing to learn the history but the pictures have faded overtime. It’s still quite remarkable.

Great short hike with lots of cool history and beautiful terrain! While the trail is paved it gets pretty steep in places so be aware of that if you have mobility issues. Highly recommend a stop here and down the road at 4 dances!

If your on the area, this is a nice short visit. There is a small entry fee. It has a paved pathway to the pictograph cave, however this has some steep inclines. This has some cave drawings on an excavated cave wall. The "Indian Ghost Cave" is not paved and is dirt and stair path. Bring water. Be aware as they have some dangerous wildlife in the area. Rattlesnakes, bear and cougar are some. I did not see any, however, we thought we heard a rattlesnake in the distant grass. Watch your children.

Had a fun visit. So close to town and so secluded as well. Fascinating place.

I came to Billings on a visit and didn't even know the state park was here. However, it proved to be a beautiful and marvelous addition to our trip. To stand in the presence of so much natural beauty and know that for so long humans had been frequenting, that area was awe inspiring.

Beautifully landscaped park. Took the kids for Mother's Day, and admission was free for moms, a nice surprise (thank you!) Lots of cool animals to see and they all seem happy to be there. It's a certified autism center, with a few small playgrounds for the kids to play and be themselves if they need a break. Great family day!

Very affordable and interactive. Enclosures were natural habitat with some sleep areas of human bought. Recommendation is to see it in a warmer season than January. Jeff does an excellent job making it an informative self guided walk through.

Small zoo but cute. Get through it in a couple hours, if you take your time.. Went on a rainy day and all the animals were pretty active. Red pandas were playing and chasing each other which was a wonderful sight compared to them sleeping all day.

Zoo Montana is a gem in our city of Billings. Although it may not have the exotic collections of big city zoos, it is a wonderful place to stroll and enjoy nature. It has well designed, attractive natural habitats for the animals, and you can usually see them up close-up if it’s not too hot out. Tigers, bears, red panda, otters, wolves, and other animals with beautiful nature trails and playgrounds for the kids. We and our grandkids never get tired of it.

We didn't buy a zoo, but my children took me to one of my favorite places in Montana,...ZooMontana. You can zip through in a couple of hours or take the day to see everything in has to offer. The flowers are absolutely beautiful this year. It's so amazing, I forgot to take a photo of them. Please go see for yourself! I did take a couple of my other favorites.

This is one of the best small zoo's I have been to. Well designed and family-friendly. It's designed to teach you nature and relax with gardens. More pictures will follow later. July 22, 2023 update - photos I promised.

Zoo lights drive through. It was nice and the kids were excited. There is an area where you can stop and get out and walk. It’s only a couple things there and then through the fence the zoo was lit up with beautiful decor and lights but we are not able to access it. The kids wanted so badly to see everything inside.

Great place with lots of preservation to the landscape. I watched a few of the handlers with the animals and you could see the devotion and respect they had for them. We went on a weekend when they had a huge fundraiser which made it rather annoying to navigate how we I gathered from a few of the employees that this was unusual and they were just happy to see people at the zoo period. The animal exhibits we few and we went in the morning when most were still drowsing. It was still absolutely wonderful!

Nice clean small zoo. Good variety of animals on display but very little interaction from staff with the animals during open hours like other zoos we are used to. The zoo is small so didn't expect as much walking time without any animal exhibits. All in all its a decent small zoo worth the cost of admission and good for kids to visit.

The Asia section has the exotic tigers (sisters) and red panda (shh, enjoys quiet shade), which looks to me like an animal with sort of a panda head with a raccoon's body and tail. The panda is my favorite, a long walk from the entrance, but it is a relatively small zoo and so it's a do-able walk. Many animals inside near the entry gate are former pet surrenders, including two chinchillas. The grizzlies are great to see when they dine on grapes, blueberries, and peanutbutter, plus a watching area has a solid roof overhead. The zoo can be very hot on even a mild day, and the paved paths are somewhat uneven and narrow. However, the signs outside the enclosures have been updated and include the animals' names and personal histories. I really enjoy this zoo!

We visited ZooMontana on the 4th of July. I didnt think it would even be open (lol) but it was! This place is part zoo and part botanical garden. It has beautiful walking pathways. There's a "homestead" exhibit with a barn... a meditation garden of a sort... wolves... bison, bears, eagles. Most of the animals exhibits are rescues in some way. I really appreciate this zoo. I can HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I went here for my mother in law's birthday. Overall it's a nice place to visit as they had some nice animals that I had never seen before and great gardens. Something they could improve upon is making sure that guests have a map.

I would not say that this is a five star zoo by any means. But for the price that it cost to get in, and the amount of fun that my kids had in the hour and a half it took to see everything it deserves five stars.

Love this Zoo. For a small town it's decent in size, very well kept and the staff is super friendly. I love to see the new features this year and hope it continues to grow. I would highly recommend the annual pass if you live local and have kids. We'll worth the money.

What a fantastic zoo! So many things fit kids and adults alike. The tigers were very active. Spiders and snakes are not usually my favorite animals, but inside their cages we learned a lot about them. Watch for peacocks. They are beautiful. Even the squirrels were fun on a winter's day

Went to the Christmas lights display. We were visiting the area from AR and we’re looking for someplace to take the kids. The lights were beautiful. The tractor ride was fun

I had never gone through the Zoo Christmas Lights before. It was quite enjoyable and the different light designs were very creative. Well done!

I loved it! A trip Back in time, beautiful. Every room is beautiful. Gorgeous woodwork, walls and floors ceilings are enchanting with their intricate designs. The craftsmanship is extraordinary. So much history about this prominent family. A must go see if you like things like that, you won’t be disappointed

Hidden gem right next to downtown. Beautiful grounds and a truly amazing house! The interior is even more magnificent and the guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. The indoor greenhouse was our favorite part and they had a wondeful scavenger hunt for the kids to hold their interest. A must see if you are in town!

We greatly appreciated the walk through of Moss Mansion Museum. There is some great history there and glad to see all the Moss family photos. We are from California on a 15 state 35 day vacation. Seeing North West it's so lovely up this way Thank you.

If you enjoy local history surrounding old structures, then Moss Mansion in Billings is for you! Built in 1902-1903 by Preston B. Moss, this red sandstone marvel contains an impressive 25 rooms! Moss didn't intend on settling here but recognized the potential for the area. Soon after he arrived in 1892, he took over the First National Bank quickly rising as a prominent figure in the billings area. Stop by and take the tour, I assure you it will be worth your time!

Oh my gosh I’m so glad I went here this house is so beautiful there’s a stunning greenhouse and so many beautiful antiques the staff and volunteers are so amazing and helpful and I’m sure every time you go you’ll find something new a self guided tour is $12 and you can walk around as long as you’d like within business hours. It’s well worth the visit!!

We had family in town last week and visited the Moss Mansion. The tour guides are extremely knowledgeable and provide great insight on the facts of the home and the family. Their gift shop is a little pricey but that’s because they source their items locally and support local vendors. This place is definitely worth a visit, even if it’s just to enjoy the gorgeous greenhouse.

Just visited outside for a Adventure Lab we were doing. Didn't have time to take the tour, but would love to come back someday and do it. The house and grounds are lovely. I'm not sure how much the tour is due to the fact I didn't check.

Wonderful historical site! The staff was the best and the restoration and upkeep were top notch and among the best.

Such a beautiful piece of history to visit. The guides and workers are such lovely individuals. All willing to chat and talk about the mansion. I had a wonderful time walking through each individual room. I cannot even imagine what it would have been like to live in such a grand home. It has been beautiful preserved from every detail inside to all the details on the outside. A must see if you come to Billings!

Oh my gosh, it was amazing. Lots of stairs, though. I would definitely recommend going. They are doing some repairs so we could not see the whole house. They need support for repairs, which is worth it. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable.

This was my first visit to the Moss Mansion, with other family members. I've never known what the name meant, and had no idea of the history. Wow!! What a learning experience this was. The Moss family is just incredible, all that Mr Moss has done for Billings. And the house! Stunning, beautiful, what a creative mind he had, to build it the way he did. I'd highly recommend taking the tour!! You learn the entire history, versus just walking thru on your own. Go!!

Excellently restored and conserved historic mansion of one of the movers and shakers of early Billings. We opted for the guided tour today and it was excellent. Joel was our tour guide and he was a wealth of information about the house and family and presented the tour in an entertaining manner. I'd recommend going when it first opens (10AM most days... but not open on Tuesdays), taking the guided tour and then strolling a bit more around the house and gardens. In all we were there for a couple of hours.

Fabulous home with incredibly ornate details. Just beautiful and so large! I loved the conservatory and the grounds were nicely groomed.

Expensive, extremely warm when we went. Air conditioning did not work. The exibits weren't what we were interested in but next ones may be. Freindly Staff and it is very clean.

went to this museum on a chilly october afternoon and the atmosphere was perfect. beautiful works of art all around with a cute gift shop to boot. some exhibits were closed off or under construction the day we had walked in so our tickets were cheaper than usual. REALLY enjoyed the "global asias" exhibit and the artist-in-residence's exhibit at the time. lots of inspiration to be found here!

We ate on a 4000 mile camping trip, to Yellowstone and other areas. We stopped in Billings overnight and saw this museum and thought we could gather information about Yellowstone. There is nothing here that has to do with Yellowstone, there is a lot of modern art. We travel a lot and i read reviews to see where to go, I hate giving a museum a negative review, but it costs to go here and we went expecting art about Yellowstone and there was none. I will have to say there was 1 room that had amazing black and white photos of horse and rider scenes.

Went here on a whim with my kids today. Nice facility - clean and nice displays. Thought the admission process was a little high for adults. I was hoping there would be a little more on display for the price. We did enjoy the atmosphere and the pianist was a nice touch.

Very beautiful artwork displayed here. I was amazed at all the wonderful pieces. The museum is pretty small, though, so our time there was short.

Very unique art museum. Strategically thought out to represent the culture surrounding the area. My favorite part was the Remember Me section. Looking at all the photos and the quotes to go with them were nice. Overall the space is quite small but very well put together.

Wonderfully time at my son's art exhibit made us feel welcome.

We had friends in from out of town on what just happened to be first Friday. The first Friday of each month has free admission from 4-8pm. We really enjoyed walking around and looking at the exhibits. Can't say enough nice things about the staff. One of our friends was on crutches and needed a wheelchair. They have one available on a first come, first serve basis for those in need. Great overall experience.

A nice contemporary art museum. Right now, not all the wings are open but we were able to get in on a discounted price. The collection that is available for viewing right now is absolutely lovely. Also, they do require patrons to mask up to visit as of July 28, 2021

I love watching live baseball. Have been coming here since I was a child. Very clean park and nice employees in both the concession stand and the gift shop. Go mustangs!

Really a first rate facility for a city the size of Billings. Easily accessible for handicap. The seats and concessions are priced very reasonably. Decent seats will only run you about $10 a ticket. You'll find everything from fresh squeezed lemonade to deep fried donuts. I have to say the donuts are our favorite!!! So delicious!!! Normal fare such as corn dogs, brats and adult beverages are also available. Highly recommend a Mustangs game.

Great ballpark to watch a baseball game. Very affordable and perfect to take the family out for the evening.

First base side you end up looking into the setting sun. The seats are not angled towards home plate so if you sit down the lines you have to twist in your seat. Overall a nice modern ballpark but it does lack the character of the ole Cobb field

Amazing ball park. Clean and spacious. Very affordable prices for tickets. Variety of food, drinks, and alcohol options. Lots of options for free parking.

Fun family time! Watching Mustang baseball ⚾️ is a great way to spend an evening. The soft pretzel with cheese is delicious. The beer garden is easy to get to 🍺 and do stop by the gift store. They have very unique baseball caps, bats, and balls. Prices are very affordable. The stadium seats are very comfortable. The staff are helpful and friendly.

Very nice stadium 🏟 and the Billings Mustangs are a really good team. Definitely a place for family fun. The tickets are not costly at all.

This was an unlucky baseball season...of the fourteen games I attended this year, the Mustangs lost 11 times. Including, Game 2 of the Championship.😏😱 Hopefully, it wasn't because my attendance.🥴 I will be back next year for the 2024 season and fingers crossed for a better record! 🇺🇲🙏🤗

This is a great family friendly ball park. We drive 4 hours round-trip just to watch baseball here!

An evening game in mid-August, I went with $5 general admission. Unique park where you can wander the concourse completely around the field. There really are no bad seats in the place. You are right next to the action and players. Prices were reasonable for food. I thought $5 draft was a little steep. The beer batter did not come through the night I visited, if he gets a hit, beers cost 4 for $10. There is a short zip line in left field but I didn't check the price. Overall a clean park and it was a fun visit.
