Buying tickets in advance can help you get a better seat according to your preference, but many times you can still find a seat coming last minute unless it's the first or the last showing. The actors are superb and so talented with singing, dancing, and much more. The live orchestra will have your whole body and spirit feeling the show straight through your bones right to your soul! The sets are exquisitely designed. The audio and lighting are always top quality and add so much depth and character development to each and every show. This playhouse is amazing. Thank you to all the people who make escaping reality possible with the historic walls of the Cocoa Village Playhouse!

Its nice to see a historic building being put to use in the way it was meant to be used. I hope it continues to stay open and I encourage you to see their performances!

What a beautiful piece of history and unique experience. Watched a play here and it was fabulous. The playhouse is intimate in size. Bathrooms are very clean. Intermission you can go upstairs and grab snacks and beverages. However when you have 500 people doing that at the same time, and the space is small where the refreshments are, I passed on dealing with the chaos in a tight spot. If you have never been here to see a performance, I highly recommend you do. They constantly have things going on and performances that meet so many age requirments.

Great community theater filled with talented and enthusiastic volunteers. Really enjoyed production of The Music Man. Exceptionally talented leads.

This year we went to see Guys and Dolls and the Playhouse Playboyz. Both performances were excellent, really top notch entertainment. The acoustics are first-rate and there isn't a bad seat in the house.

Beautiful! The acting, music, dancing, staging are consistently fabulous - like Broadway. Feb '23: You could not improve on the fabulous presentation of Music Man! The actor who played Harold Hill was better than the movie. Marion sang like a bird. Performers all perfect. Music, correography, costumes, sets all superb. OKLAHOMA! Just saved a trip to (yuck) NY. Broadway is here in Cocoa Village! This show could not have been better. What a cast! What music! Don't rent the movie, it doesn't equal this. Packed house for this last performance.

I used to do their kid's program, STARS, and absolutely loved it. Sadly, the next show was during covid so I quit, but I'd love to start again.

Wonderful Historic Cocoa Village Theater!! Opening Night of Cinderella!! My Husband and I flew in from Minnesota last week to stay at our Timeshare in Cocoa Beach and I looked up things to do in the area and it brought up the Plays that were performed at the Cocoa Village Theater and so we booked the play Cinderella a week ago and we went to see it tonight and it was Fantastic!! The Decor was great in the Theater, they had special Candy and Chocolate treats made up to sell and they had Drawings for a Cinderella Basket filled with Mementos!! Half of the monies raised would go to The Theater and the other half to a lucky person whose name was drawn! Everything was so special and the Play was just excellent, it was a large cast and the Performers reacted well with each other! The Colors and the Themes that they painted the Scenery and the Designs of their clothing was Awesome! Everything was just Fantastic... Wonderful job!! Some of the future Plays look Wonderful also... A White Christmas will be put on at Christmas time and The Sound of Music will be put on later In the Spring!! I feel like booking another flight down from Minnesota to come and see these Plays!!

I have enjoyed live theatre for 70+ years. The venues ranged from Midwest intimate community theatre-in-the-round to Broadway. It was a pleasing experience to watch the Cocoa Village Playhouse cast perform a Broadway-worthy rendition of Oklahoma! Every member displayed extraordinary talent that came from a sincere love of the art and the nurturing of the directors. If Gordon MacRea and Shirley Jones had been in the audience, they would have shown the same respect as I did—a standing ovation!

Such a beautiful playhouse! My children and I went to the 101 Dalmatians play and it was so adorable! Highly recommend going to a play here!

It's difficult to convey in a limited space all the totally amazing aspects of the Cocoa Village Playhouse. You will be hard pressed to find finer talent anywhere, not just at other community theaters, but anywhere, seriously. We have been attending performances at CVP for over 30 years. Both of my children grew up in the Playhouse and it was like their second family. They were both in the 'Stars' performing group for children and also performed in numerous main stage productions. Each time we attended one of the shows we were blown away by the talent of so many of the performers. Each production is a work of art and you leave the auditorium with a sense of wonder as to how so much talent can be in one small area and how each performance flows flawlessly. Spectacular is a good word to describe the overall experience you derive each time you step into the Cocoa Village Playhouse! It is unrivaled in every aspect of the performing arts.

Highly recommended play "The play that goes wrong". The theater is very nice. Some seats may have difficulty seeing the full stage. Overall, this is a must-do/must-see while in Cocoa.

Great little park within walking distance of all Cocoa Village's shops. The playground is nicely shaded and there are lots of benches and tables for watchful parents. My daughter also loves the splash pad area near the water.

Perfect place for Juky 4th celebrations. Find some parking early and secure a spot at restaurants to see the fireworks. Definitely a great place to walk around why waiting for the show.

What a terrible venue for Willie Nelson! Getting through security was a breeze! We arrived for the warm up player. Because of the rain, we stayed on the raised concrete deck. It seemed ok until we realized you have to be on the lawn to hear anything. The warm up act sounded good but we could only see her head and shoulders. The speakers were blocking the view of the rest of the stage. So when Willie came out, he sat down and the photo shows my view of him. So you could only see him if you bought the VIP seats in the center of the lawn or went to the back of the park. I do not recommend the venue for such events. We won’t do that again.

Park is 10 mins off of i95. Has kids playground and walking trails. Great place to enjoy sun and a view. Has a water play for young kids

Nice park right on the Indian river in downtown Cocoa. Great place to clear your mind, take a walk, also within walking distance of restaurants, and a great place to host outside events. They are currently doing some remodeling next to it where the boat ramp is located. Overall great spot to visit if you’re in the area.

This place is a very fun family place to walk around sightsee grab small bites or big bites to eat have a couple of drinks with a couple of scoops of ice cream and gander around at bracelets handmade necklaces witchcraft accessories and more! One of the best pizza restaurants Ryan's is there and I suggest you go there they have a playground for children and also they have a splash pad to cool off. Very friendly friendly and many stores to look at to stimulate your interests. Great on a Tuesday or Sunday. Ryan's is closed on Mondays.

Beautiful location right on the riverfront. Nice to sit on the benches that overlook the water. Public restrooms open 8am-7pm seven days a week. Had to take a star off for the muddy walkways and torn up grass.

This is a nice little park located downtown Cocoa village. They have many festivities going on here. It's the main location for cocoa. Hang out and outdoor concerts. The Cocoa village playhouse is right around the block, and there are many restaurants surrounding this park. The views are great of many boats and a causeway. There's also a splash pad for kids and it is dog friendly.

Amazing little park within walking distance of the shopping and restaurant district in downtown Cocoa. Located right on the Indian River across for Merritt Island. There is a beautiful river walk, portico and a grand amphitheater. Well kept green with places to sit and picnic. There are public restrooms and a children's park for the little ones. A great place to enjoy an afternoon stroll.

My Husband and I were very impressed with this venue and the staff involved in creating the most beautiful atmosphere for our wedding. The flowers were phenomenal, the catering delicious, from the moment we said our vows to the last dance of the evening our wedding guests were happy. We could not have asked for a better experience on our wedding day.

Loved our charter cruise. I hosted our 30th High School Reunion here, and it was perfect! The staff are amazing and so helpful! Honestly, they went above and beyond! Thank you again... literally everyone loved it!

We had our first ride on the Indian River Queen Friday, was so impressed! From the moment we boarded, service was phenomenal. We had our pic taken when boarding, which was ours to take home when we disembarked. The entertainment was outstanding, the singer has a lot of talent and played all the best songs. Crydermens dinner was very good. My only complaint was the price of the alcohol, a beer and a glass of wine $16, so be prepared. The staff are so polite, happy and helpful. Truly an awesome experience, definitely looking forward to doing this again!

Nothing to brag about, good dinner but not a classy group of musicians. No music to dance with my wife, probably will not pay the money for that again. Basically a dinner on the river!

We had a great time on the dinner cruise. The food was great, the staff was very courteous and went out of their way to make the cruise very special. Cruising on the Indian river at night was truly spectacular. We would definitely recommend this dinner cruise to those that may be interested.

Had a sunset wedding on the boat and everything about it was simple, perfect and turned out absolutely beautiful. And the staff aboard is AMAZING! I have never seen people work so hard to make sure everyone’s needs were met. I did hire my own local cocoa beach baker and local cocoa beach florist because the referred ones in the wedding package was not very professional nor communicated well but they aren’t apart of the Queen River Boat staff. Penny, Peter and ALL the boat staff was beyond awesome and gave us a night we will never forget!! 🥰

I can’t say enough great things about the Indian River Queen experience! What makes it extra special is the amazing staff. Penny helped plan every detail of our event and was always available and easy to work with. Linda and Ann were so kind and fun - and excellent bartenders! Jimmy, with food service was so incredibly helpful and accommodating. And the food! The food was so much better than I dreamed of. Everything was delicious! There are many other staff who made the experience phenomenal, and I wish I could recognize them all by name. I highly recommend booking a special event on the Indian River Queen. It will be a night to remember, and the staff will make sure of it. What a wonderful team! Thank you for a perfect evening!

Beautiful boat, staff are all soooooo nice. Was a great night on the water. The night ended with an awesome rocket launch too. Only downside was n ot knowing they were serving food and we almost missed all the food as we were on top deck. My only suggestion would be an announcement that food serving had started (we didn't realize it started pretty much right after taking off from dock) the photo we got to take home with us was such a nice surprise! Again did I mention how great and friendly the staff were? Top notch bartenders who deserve to be tipped high!

Very relaxing cruise. We saw dolphins and the breeze was beautiful on the whole trip. They have a good selection of drinks and cocktails to purchase. The three levels allow you to flow from air conditioned comfort to thier top deck with chaise loungers to just watch the world float by.

I loved the boat I felt like 6hrs was too long to be on the boat at once felt like it should leave at 7pm come back at 10 or 1030 & then maybe take a end crew out until 1 or 2am. 6hrs is a very long time for someone to be out on a boat drinking & gambling. It's fun but its usually not ok for those that have a drinking or gambling issue. Other than that it was a pleasure.

We booked a cruise for the 4th of July based on our cruise from last year which our group enjoyed. This years cruise the food was great, still put off having to pay for ice tea and soda when paying $85/person. Our biggest complaint from our party of ten was the terribly LOUD music and not being able to dine together on the mid-deck as we did last year. Sorry to say, this will be our last cruise.

Excellent evening out on the Indian River Queen. I brought a group on board for the Fourth of July fireworks. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. The live band on board was very good too. I highly recommend this for a group event or a nice evening on the water.

Had a great date with my sweety there in Dec 2023. It's a special situation and brings an air with it. Staff are super friendly and the ride is just long enough. The Briskey and pulled pork buffet headliners were delish. Cheers!

Bookings say there is no need to arrive early, that boarding is at 6:30, but we were there 10 minutes early,-just in case, got checked in and we’re told that there was a big party on the dining level, so there was only a few tables set aside for the other bookings. We found that the two non-reserved 6 chair tables we could sit at already had people at them with only one of the tables having four seats left which meant we’d have to all sit beside each other in a row. We were referred to the second level where there was four-top tables, where we sat. On that level we received no notice when the dinner was ready, so after the 3rd time going downstairs to check, found a line of people getting food, with some in line for second-helpings. By the time we got to the food, there was no salad left and a short supply of some of the other sides. As a person counting on the salad as my main course, this was very disappointing. Needless to say, our 1st experience left us feeling like our 4 bookings were not regarded the same as the large party, since the level we were left sitting in had less heat (one of the portable heaters ran out of propane) our seating was that of being on the partying level and of course the inability of knowing when the buffet was ready. Why wouldn’t large groups be seated on the second level since that is where the DJ is and they all ended up there anyway after dinner to talk and dance to the music? My booking was a gift for one member of our party and I spent most of the evening apologizing to him for what was a negative experience. The date of our cruise was Friday, December 29th.

Wasn't sure what to expect, but we had a really great time! The staff is fantastic. The Cryderman's food was delicious, and the entertainment was wonderful. Even though it was cool and rainy, we were able to get to each deck. The heaters on the second deck were much appreciated. Would definitely do this again.

My dad, sister, and I had a wonderful time on the Indian River Queen! I had always wanted to see what it was like on board and it's a beautiful ship. Penny and her crew were very welcoming and just came across as very happy and personable. We each had a delicious Bloody Mary while listening to the narration of the history of the area. Perfect morning!

Everyone was friendly and we basically had the boat to ourselves. It's a pretty far walk from the parking area so if you have limited mobility, take heed. The address does not come up correctly on GPS so everyone looped around the city for a few laps. My only complaint for the cruise was the audio. The recorded narration was painful to listen to, literally as it skipped like a a scratched record the entire time. We would have rather just listened to the engines.

Highs - Very Friendly and Qualified Crew. Deck hand was very knowledgeable about the area and helpful with all requests and questions. Captain’s ability was excellent and his docking of this large rectangular shallow drafted vessel on a windy and drizzly day was superb. Neutrals - Decent recorded messages about the area. Free coffee. Lows - Length of cruise too short (1 hour total and departure and return to dock takes about 1/3 of that time). Really not much of historical interest to see. “The Queen” is aging and not gracefully. Everything just looks and feels worn and used.

We took our 3rd Grade class on a field trip aboard the Riverboat Queen and the kids, chaperones, and teachers had the best time! The historical audio playing in the background was a great learning experience, the staff and crew were wonderful, and the snack bar was a huge hit! I highly recommend booking a field trip or private party aboard this fascinating boat!

A unique museum covering local history. While the exhibits are older in style they are still very good. The significance of the history they cover is notable. One exhibit covers an extremely unique archeological site and you do not want to miss it! They also have some rotating exhibits and the one on the Hubbell telescope was very cool. The nature trails that are part of the park are really enjoyable as well! I'd definitely go back.

It is a very nice museum dedicated to Brevard’s history The Brevard Museum of History and Natural Science requires you to drive through the edge of a subdivision to get to this site. It has a large parking lot and a fence to separate the lot, building, and trails from the surrounding neighborhood. They have a website and a Facebook page but neither of these do them justice. According to their website, they are, “Home of the Johnnie Johnson nature trails which provide a network of both improved and unimproved hiking trails connected to both Travis Park and the Brevard Museum.” The museum is inside a building that has meeting space, and several exhibit rooms with displays related to Florida and Brevard County's natural history. The building is located on 3.23 acres and has the trails listed above. They have a children's playroom, 2 large full dinosaur models to the left as you enter the building, an Indian display to the immediate right, and an entire wing devoted to the Space program and the Windover Excavation to the far right. The museum may be a little dated but it has wonderful volunteers who are friendly and very knowledgeable. It is free, clean, and has a lot of great information and artifacts about our area. We did not get a chance to try any of the trails but plan to visit another time to see more. They have a scavenger hunt that we read about and saw several people trying to complete while we were there. Overall, it was a very pleasant visit and an experience that I recommend for any visitors.

Such a diverse collection of history; from pre-historic to outer space. Our docent was very knowledgeable and interesting. A great place to visit and learn.

This museum is a gem and the volunteers are amazing. Geologist Bob donated 3 hours of his time to share his vast knowledge of the Ice Age, FL mega fauna, FL paleo Indians, and the Windover burial site. My 6 year old had a blast doing the scavenger hunt that got him a gem and a photo of an astronaut. He also enjoyed the interactive exhibits that allowed him to touch human bones and fossils. Then we walked the nature trails around the museum and found a lot of gopher tortoises and native wildflowers, we crossed a boardwalk over a beautiful swamp. What an amazing day!

A hidden gem in Brevard county. Not only did I thoroughly enjoy the museum, but my kids may have enjoyed it even more. Great exhibits, a scavenger hunt for the kids and it's all FREE! Everyone working at the museum was super friendly.

I have lived in Brevard for almost 25 collective years, and I just recently found out about this museum. I took my 4 year old here and it's absolutely wonderful that we have a place like this in Brevard! We didn't get to enjoy the outdoor offerings since it was pouring rain, but we will certainly go back to do so. They had a fun play area for our kid, and even I learned a good bit about the county's history. The staff was super knowledgeable about the displays and the history and I really hope more people visit this place!

Neat, free museum about Florida history in Brevard County. We especially enjoyed the immersive experiences for children with my girls being able to drive the trains, science play area, and scavenger hunt. Really enjoyed the nature walk that branches off of the butterfly exhibit with another entrance/exit by the parking lot. We saw a bunch of butterflies during our walk. No tortoises this time, but they are around. Staff were nice and informative about the exhibits as they were available throughout. For the most part it was self-exploration.

The Brevard Museum of History in Cocoa FL is an amazing find. It is tucked away within a quiet neighborhood, and it offers a surprising array of intriguing artifacts that span the Prehistoric Era through the Space Age. It is the home of the Windover Archeological site, which is a Middle Archaic archaeological site and a National Historic Landmark. The Brevard Museum also manages the Johnnie Johnson Walking Trail at Clearwater, a paved trail that exposes 3 ecosystems and warns of potential alligators, coyotes, and snakes. The amount of information and the array of artifacts could take hours, if not a full day, to go through. Great for adults and kids; highly recommended.

It is free. They have things from old times to space stuff. Very nice employees. Loved the museum!

This place is simply incredible! Make sure you wear comfortable shoes because it is much larger than you are expecting! The displays are well organized and the entire museum is impeccably clean. All the staff were very warm and welcoming. They offered a ton of insight on everything around you and they love answering questions. The butterfly garden in the back is a quick walk but everything was blooming and it was beautiful. The nature walk outside (to the left of the entrance) was absolutely STUNNING. You can stay on the concrete path or venture off the many smaller "natural" paths. I did a bit of both and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I will most definitely return here.

Really enjoyed the Planetarium show and looking through their telescope 🔭. I was able to see Jupiter and Saturn, which really does have rings ☺ very cool place to visit.

A great experience. Went here for the Pink Floyd laser show and although it wasn't what I expected, I had a great time. The show is more of a laser show, with very little stars, which was a bit disappointing. They also play very loud music, so be prepared if you're sensitive to sound, like me. All in all I'd this is definitely worth a try if you're a Pink Floyd fan. Just don't expect anything profound.

It's too bad that the planetarium is closed right now, and even sadder that none of the big space players are doing anything to help restore the planetarium, why doesn't either Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk contribute toward repairing this facility? I mean, they're making so much money launching rockets that you would think that they would help contribute toward this very special place that deals in the history of space exploration.

It was wonderful over the years. At one time, I tried to add a laser-particle levitation experiment, however before we finished setting it up some problems arose concerning royalties and such which was not by the planetarium personnel but among me and my associates. Unfortunately it did not happen. You have a great institution.

Cool to use a real substantial telescope in person. Two knowledgeable great guys explaining what was being shown. Very nice experience especially with my 9 year old son new astronomy fan

This modern facility is tucked-away at the rear (west side) of the campus of Eastern Florida State College in Cocoa. There is a large central lobby, a theatre/planetarium, and an observatory that features one of the largest telescopes (24" reflector) open to the public in the state. Check out the web site (Google "EFSC Planetarium and Observatory") to check out what shows they're doing and the evenings when the observatory is open. The central lobby features astronomical exhibits as well as fun science things like a Foucault pendulum and a pair of acoustic parabolic reflectors that kids enjoy whispering into and being heard across the room at the other reflector. The planetarium is very respectable and comfortable and features pre-recorded shows as well as typical sessions about constellations in the current night sky. Very reasonably priced. I have been to a number of first-class planetariums and was amazed to find this fine one in the Melbourne FL area.

We visited during our Christmas vacation and it was worth it. We enjoyed the presentation they had. Hope to visit again in the future.
