I’ve been coming here since I was a few months old. Probably one of the best beaches in the coast of North Carolina! Very peaceful and family like. This is like my second home :)

South Topsail Island is a great getaway from the hustle bustle of life. Beach is nice, only a couple hotels, couple of restaurants. Breezeway Inn is clean, easy walk to the beach, restaurant is good.

Great place to vacation. Beaches are nice, and plenty of food in the area.

Have been coming to Topsail Island for many years. It has grown a lot. Some of that is good but other times I wish it would have stayed smaller and more charming but it is my favorite beach. The beach itself is the best anywhere. The people are friendly and the restaurants offer the best seafood around. Love this place.

My ”boyfriend” took me down here as a “family vacation” and turned it into a proposal on the beach!! 🥹 This place was absolutely amazing and the places were all nice too! Everything about this place is magical and I hope one day we could have our own beach house on the same beach he proposed! We’re currently married and enjoying life! (Went there back in 2021- we were both 18 at the time and fresh outta HS) I HIGHLY recommend coming here for ANY vacation! It’s just so fun!!!

Been going to Topsail for almost 40 years. It’s my family’s bit of heaven. We spend quality time with our family. The beaches are beautiful. Sunrises are amazing. Great places to eat and shop

Visit Topsail 🐠🐟 Breathtaking views from the pier with beautiful soft sand beaches that are less crowded ⛱☀️ A great spot to surf 🏄‍♀️ and swim between the waves 🌊 among all the fishies 🐠. There are plenty of restaurants, coffee and ice cream 🍦 shops around the area. There’s a $1.00 entrance fee to the pier unless you’re fishing 🎣 ($10.00) Parking was easy to find when we visited. We had an epic 🤙🏼 time here!

Great vacation spot! It's not too crowded and it's very relaxing. The locals are super friendly and the stores and restaurants are reasonably priced.

I went down to topsail island to take photos for my business RedSky Images Photography. I love it there! It’s a great place to visit and a great place to photograph! I recommend everyone take a trip here at least once!

I don't want to share this beautiful place.its a five in my heart but I'm rating it a one so it retains it's charm. It's lovely and mostly quiet except for the occasional military aircraft. Gorgeous beaches. North topsail is where you want to be to literally get away from it all. No nearby stores. Surf City is about 20 min down the island.

This is a beautiful beach. One of our last trips to see My late Great Aunt Lila Ingram in North Carolina, we visited Topsail Beach after church. The beach is peaceful and serene.

This is a GREAT little experience. They take you on a fun tour providing tons of sea turtle knowledge. You get to walk the tanks and learn about the current residents in care. The tour guides are very knowledgeable and super friendly. Plus all of the money spent at the facility goes right back to the sea turtles in care! This was a great activity for couple and for families. Due to the large amount of “talking tour” might be harder for toddlers FYI.

Great trip for family. Young and old enjoyed looking at the turtles and learning about them. We enjoyed watching the volunteers feed and care for the turtles and look forward to going again. Prepare to spend money in the gift shop. They have all kinds of treasures.

Educational, fun and engaging. Getting to meet the sea turtles was so wonderful, and I learned so much about the different things that can affect the health of marine life. So many awesome people volunteer their time here and I felt empowered to do more to help the sea turtles. I have had this place as my Amazon charity since my visit, we adopted a turtle, and I try to visit every time I come out to NC. Due to the events of 2020 I haven't been able to visit recently, but I'm planning my return visit in November! I highly recommend taking one of their tours and supporting this great organization!

An absolute sanctuary built upon the hope and heart of Jean Beasley in honor of her daughter Karen. The staff and volunteers are incredibly well versed in the turtles native to coastal Carolina and beyond. The facility is amazing, as well as the care provided for the turtles that find themselves here. Expect to spend an hour or so with the guided tour, and make certain to reserve your spots online as the openings do quickly.

What a fantastic service for this TI community! Every one of the volunteers LOVE what they do and the WHY behind it! The facility is modern and wonderful for the turtles rescued. The guides are knowledgeable and friendly! The cost is minimal and SO worth paying, knowing it is going for a GOOD cause!! And the gift shop is where it’s at!!! Highly recommend!! Will go back!!

Wonderful facility that educates the public while rehabilitating sea turtles. We got there right after they ate so many were resting/less active, but it was still a special experience to see them so close.

We have a wonderful tour of the rescue center. Our guide was patient, precise and extremely friendly! We learned a lot about the breeds, eating habits, potential health problems or issues - all related to local sea turtles! We got to see 6-8 turtles in the rescue bays and one in the critical care area. The gift shop was well stocked, tons of parking available as well. I caution you to make reservations well ahead of time, don't show up without pre-purchase of tickets.

Such a fun experience I would highly recommend for anyone interested in sea life. I was so incredibly impressed with the staff and the amazing hands on tour that they provide. The turtles are so so adorable and the little gift shop they have has merchandise with their actual turtles on them, making it truly unique and special. An event that holds a warm memory.

Wonderful tour to learn about the sea turtle here on Topsail Island. Definitely put it on your to do list!

I cannot say enough good things about this place! The staff is so knowledgeable and helpful and you can tell they really care about the well being of the turtles. I’ve been wanting to visit here since I “Adopted” Lennie a few years ago. We came from Cleveland, OH!

The people here are so kind and knowledgeable. The kids love stopping each year to visit the turtles and it’s a great reminder for all of us to be thoughtful before we head out to the island. Cute reasonably priced gift shop, clean restrooms, and easily accessible location near restaurant options make this a great family activity. Don’t forget to reserve your spot online.

Do not miss going here! You need to make reservations for your tour but it is worth every minute. I learned so much from our tour person about turtles and what this foundation is doing is amazing. I only wish I could be present when the turtles hatch and make their way to the sea!

Compared to Southern California the sand here is comfortable to stand and sit in and feels silky under your feet. Found paid parking right away but had trouble with the service taking the payment. If you have payment issues, call the provided phone number. DO NOT park without paying, a guy goes by in a golf cart checking all the cars.

Beautiful place to see the sea, collect shells, and relax. We were here early in the day in April, so there weren't many people, but it definitely gets much more popular as the weather warms and the day goes on. There is a ramp at this location making beach access possible for nearly all. Pretty well kept area without much debris. There is a foot washing station should you not want to take the beach in your car with you. Small parking lot right at the sure we entered with online parking payment options. Other similar kits are scattered at different points asking the island and beach areas..... Several restaurants and shops nearby if you need a bite or a souvenir to take home.

It's a place where I can feel free and safe. It has an atmosphere that reassures you that life is worth living and " life" does get better. Basically I suppose I'm saying that Surf City is the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. GIVE IT A SHOT AND LET LIFES WORRIES DROWN IN THE OCEAN!!!

Fantastic views! Some people fishing, not very crowded. We went with the family last week and every day we saw dolphins 🐬 swimming very close to the 🏖️ and the pier. There are some restaurants and bars nearby.

The views from the Pier are beautiful. The Pier was full of people fishing just a really nice place. Can't wait to return, who knows I may be one of the fishers😉

This beach never fails to amaze me, have been coming here since I could remember and it’s always peaceful, great weather & a great beach in general. Doesn’t overcrowd unless you come in like the middle of the summer but the best time to come is in late august/early September. This year I came with my family in late July and got to experience seeing the ocean bright blue, it was a beautiful experience but the weather sure is hot and humid in July but the sunsets and sunrises never fail :)

We live in Wilmington, NC and frequent Wrightsville, Carolina and Kure beaches. We took a quick trip to Surf City and found plenty of parking option and clearly accessible public beach accesses. The pier was a friendly place with a diverse gathering of people chilling and fishing. We will definitely return to checkout the summer season!

Family friendly fishing pier. The staff is the best and they know most of their customers by first name. Other fishermen willing to help a novice fishermen out anytime. I have learned from some of the best here. I have had a season pass for the last 6 years. Caught some nice fish as seen by the pictures posted.

Great pier, not super packed but we did catch a handful of fish. We rented poles which are a $30 deposit each and $10 rate to fish each for 24 hours plus a 24 hour parking pass! You get your deposit back in full unless your line breaks which they deduct $3 each time to either give you a new pole or they are willing to replace the line on the original pole if you are adamant on using the same one. They have great folks available inside 24/7 so you can literally utilize your 24 hours whenever. We started in the morning and came back around 9p for our second run. Grill is open until around 9p, we tried a sausage egg on a bun in the morning, yum!

We went late Dec and it was extremely windy! But there were no crowds either, we plan on going back again. It looks like a fun place to explore. I also collect the pressed pennies. They're getting less common but the pier has a machine!

#reelkidsfish hosted a fantastic kids fishing tournament! Even without catching anything, my kids had a blast!!! The pier provides a great view of the beach, plus it also makes for some beautiful sunrise photos. There are plenty of benches for fishing and sinks for gutting/filleting anything you catch. The tournament was free, but I believe it is usually $10 per fisherman, $2 per walker/watcher.

We visited the beach and before we left we ventured out on the pier which was awesome and had a blast viewing the ocean. Kids loved it and the scenery was beautiful. I recommend if you visiting or passing thru to swing by and experience this breath taking view. There is a small fee to walk out on the pier and you have to pay for parking by it's a small price to enjoy this beautiful view.

Came down to visit family and always looking for new things to do or see. Made a stop here, coat 1$ a person to just walk the pier, you have the option of returning that day at no cost too. Long pier, pretty views, lots of people fishing. Very pretty looking out at the ocean, we were even lucky enough to see some dolphins.

Beautiful place to take little ones on a nice day. There are 2 players of different sizes, swings, and a promenade to enjoy the views and sightsee some wildlife.

Absolutely peaceful place to walk the pup around the piers while watching the sun begin to set. Lots of places to stop and sit along the sound as well as shady grassy ones! Beautiful & glad I found it on my little vacation.

Cut little park with a nice size playground and public restrooms in the town of surf city. Plenty of picnic shelters and benches to sit and relax with ample parking. Fishing areas and ramps to get boats and canoes in the water. Has an outdoor amphitheater. Very nice and well kept park. Bravo

Perfect place to watch the sunrise or sunset over top of the surf side bridge. The park is clean, easy to navigate, and has more than enough seating for watching the water. With 2 sets of restrooms on site they have it all covered. Great spot to relax

Beautiful place to take a stroll any time, but would highly recommend taking a stroll through the park and over the bridge while the sun rises. Such a peaceful place and the views are amazing.

Enjoy the views of the intracoastal waterway and bridge while walking the boardwalks, chilling on a bench or picnic table, fishing, or letting your kids have at it on the playground. Also, the sunsets from this vantage point can be stunning.

Great location. My kids enjoyed a wonderful afternoon fishing and playing on the swings. If your looking for a one-stop-shop this area is it, simply the car and enjoy your day.

Although it's only my vacation town at the moment, I feel more at home in Surfcity than I do my home town. They do a nice job maintaining the park as a focal point.

Cutest little park! So perfectly themed too! I say little park but this park was actually very big and right by the water too!! They also have a little free library. This was the perfect place to spend some time before heading home! They also have special needs accommodating swings!!

This park is gorgeous but if you come to eat lunch, watch out for GRACKLE CITY because they'll hoard above you, chirp, and wait for you to hopefully share your lunch lol I love me some grackles but I know there will be other people who would be petrified at this sight. Picnic eaters beware. Otherwise, go hang out! It's a gorgeous park

An adorable coastal city area to make a family day. Park has dedicated parking right next to it. The docks allow for a little stroll around the water the kids can enjoy. Restaurants are just across the street.

Our fishing spot love the location. We fish & crab. Enjoy the activities that they have there at the park. Free Music at sundown, Free movie after dark once a month. Food Trucks , Restrooms are convenient & clean Great playground. There is paid parking. Also a boat ramp . It's just a great park.

Nice local park with boat launch. Great playground for the kids. Sidewalks and boardwalk make it very nice for an morning or evening walk. Pet friendly. Road is gravel and full of pot holes. Needs paving.

We went for putt putt this past august. They had a dj out there for a special event so it made it extra fun. Wish the corse has a little better opticals on them but overall it bad.

Love this place. Reminds me of my childhood of coming here and playing games! I love the vintage feel and the variety of games. Hard to bet a local hotspot! I love supporting local and mom & pop places. Highly recommend stopping and staying for the afternoon! Great prices! They have great icecream and now serve alcohol! It really is a fun stop! Can't wait to come back!

The arcade was very disappointing. Alot of games and when I say Alot I mean ALOT of them were broken. I'm sure with the empact of covid it left the effect of a season without money making. The ticket redemption machine was not worth turning in the tickets. Three prizes to choose from a crabby patty candy, slap bracelet, and a water gun. Machine took half of my son's tickers. Just like alot of the games that didn't work took our change. Very disappointing. 😔

Putt putt is old school ~ don't expect any frills. It works though ~ it's great family fun, inexpensive, and a few of the holes are a legit challenge. DJ will take requests so your teen daughter can get her Swifty fix while golfing. Beware that some of the video games inside are going to eat your quarters. They are very old, which is both the appeal and a drawback.

Best mini golf in the area! Course is older and not that challenging, but a lot of fun to play. Great family atmosphere, reasonable prices ($8 for ages over 10), milkshakes, and a retro arcade. They have a legit quarter pusher machine, which are IMPOSSIBLE to find (and addictive to play!). Had a live DJ the night I went, he was pretty good and they were raising money for the rescue squad (new jetski). Will definitely be back on all of my Topsail trips!

Been to this playground the last several years. Each year seams better then the last. The staff is friendly, the cost is fair, the management goes above and beyond to make sure everything is right for your family to make lasting memories. I highly recommend you putting the Patio Playground on your family's vacation bucket list. You won't be disappointed.

This is a run down arcade. When we went half the machines did not work or just took our quarters. The machine that you put your tickets in for toys at the end was broken as well. Has the potential to be an awesome arcade since there is nothing really there but they have a lot of work to do.

Edit: I wanted to reply to the business reply. I find this arcade to be one of the best small arcades I’ve been to. When we travel we try to hit up every arcade around. This one has a wonderful balance of price and amusement. The prizes are not what I come for, so it’s not a disappointment to me personally whenever the prizes are no good- I just want to enjoy myself! I played the dance machine probably 2 hours and paid maybe 10$ (including paying for kids who wanted to play with me) on a DDR at Dave and busters that would be 60$. I just wanted to warn people to play for enjoyment sake and not worry about tickets. And because the machines are 25-50 cents I didn’t care when it ate a quarter or didn’t function properly. The accessibility standpoint is absolutely a plus for me. Thank you for what you do, I hope to see you again next year! Original review: Went here for the arcade. They have a dance machine (not ddr, but a diagonal type). I played multiple days and each time played at least 30 minutes. Barely anyone was there and it’s 50 cents for the dance machine (this is amazing, some dance machines are 2$!). The other machines were either very cool older quirky arcade games OR broken/not working properly. The prizes are awful, don’t play for tickets-play for enjoyment of the game. The put put course looks goofy, but might entertain a toddler (or someone like me). Overall it’s a fun place that I enjoy visiting with my family when I’m in town.

Vintage charm. Fun for kids. Outdated or classic? Hard to say. Enough machines work in arcade but many don't. Ice cream was good. Fun oldies music playing. Mini golf older with not many creative obstacles but it's clean.

Vintage feel to this old putt-putt, ice cream shop, and game room. Everything is very well-kept and the mini golf is in great shape. There is also a video game room. My favorite part is the ice cream. They have a huge selection of flavors and types of ice cream and beverages. Last place to get anything on this end of the island.

Really fun throwback to the past. Play miniature golf or in the arcade. Enjoy a snack and some ice cream. All in an environment that feels like it was from 50+ years ago. Excellent DJ providing wholesome fun for all ages.

My husband and I come here every year and play the same games and get the same ice cream and it's always a welcoming site to see that as the Island changes that this wonderful place is still around. The lady that we always see there is SUPER sweet. I can't recommend this place enough.

3 min walking from the beach and Pier, very tasty ice cream, variety of flavors. Outdoor relaxing sitting. We usually play mini golf and enjoy ice cream after the beach. Happy memories there.

Such a cool place to learn about the history of topsail Island and its free and air-conditioned which was a blessing on a hot day. They do have a donation box and we always donate to help keep them open. So many cool artifacts to see. We'll definitely be back.

Great little free museum to learn about local history. Included are mementos and videos of the building and its' place in the development of the US missile program, and information on World War II and this area. Of interest is the story of women pilots during the war and the kinds of things they went through. Be sure to watch the video interview from one of them. There are some early missiles, and even stories of local pirates. It doesn't take too long to see everything, and it's worth a side trip while you're in the area.

This place is small but full of amazing history. They have it setup very nice. The staff are super friendly and very informative. It's a must stop when we visit the Island! Highly recommended!

Fascinating history of the Topsail island and the missile test program. Well displayed and fun to visit! Everyone is so nice and enjoys what they have to share.

A hidden gem for locals and vacationers alike! They do a great job of highlighting rich North Carolina history and small town contributions to major causes. Before Cape Canaveral became famous for rockets, there was the Salt Spit. Stop by and see why. You'll be glad you did! Donations accepted

Interesting place. Very nice displays and information as to the local history as well as displays of sea life. Worth a look! No charge though donations are graciously accepted.

Second time visiting the museum. My favorite thing to do when visiting a town is to learn about the history of the area, and Topsail doesn't disappoint! Greeters at the front desk make you feel welcome and give you an overview of the town and museum. Its a small place but loaded with history.

Really interesting museum. It does a very good job of relating interesting stories about the history of the area. It deals mostly with, well, missiles because, the name. But there is interesting pirate history as well as some natural history of the island. Some really neat souvenirs as well.

We had a great time. Our girls day tripping group included a 3, 62, and 84 year old. We all had a "Blast"

I’ve been coming to Topsail Beach for years and never thought once to stop by here, I moved here in 04 and never stopped by to see what this place was about. Today changes my mind about the museum, it is well worth the visit, this place has history on the island and the test firing of missiles and more. Great place to visit if it’s raining or you just wanna take a break form the sun. Highly recommended to take the tour it’s free all they ask for is a donation. Lots of history with artifacts. A ++++++++
