What a shame that a very historic and interresting site are not properly looked after! The museum is dirty, too hot and really run down. The memorial is supposed to have water all around it, but it is dry and the general state of the garden is not well kept. I am afraid that in a few years time nobody would want to pay to see this.

I saw trees planted by every single President or head of states that had visited Ghana. Kwame Nkrumah's grave side is also in the premises.

So I’ve been living in Accra for so many years but have never visited the Nkrumah memorial park. So I decided to go. I like the new look of the place. Very modern looking but full of the African culture. Actually I was kind of expecting more history but I just didn’t get enough of it. Overall I like the experience, this place is beautiful. But I feel like more of Ghanaian rich culture can be added to make the park more interesting.

It is "Open" but "not open"... we were actually going to Osu Castle - btw it is open to public Sat/Sun only as it's still a functioning office- and saw the Memorial Park so we stopped and asked if we could walk around and they said yes...the staff / grounds keeper (??) was very knowledgeable and provided a walking history tour - they are looking to make it more of a traditional interactive park so thats the confusion along with it just wrapped up construction - for grounds / staff consideration we did tip - amount of your discretion

We visited on a cloudy Wednesday afternoon to take a look at the newly renovated park. I never saw the original so I don’t have a frame of reference to point to. The remodeled park looks beautiful and the museum quite informative. Though I hate chickens, I found it lovely that he used to rear chickens in childhood and there were chickens roaming freely in the park. The gift shop is also lovely with some quintessentially Ghanaian mementos if you choose to buy.

When you get out your vehicle there are entrepreneurs with items to buy if you want. My party bought some keychains for a very reasonable price. The lobby is air conditioned, has clean restrooms, and a few good picture spots. The guided tour is both inside and outside. They do not allow photography of any kind inside. The tour is actually very short. Maybe 20 minutes with a short break for photos on the balcony. It is wheelchair accessible. I am a big reader, so if you can do it without the big group, I would recommend that because I felt a little rushed. The only thing is the tour guide provided very good information, so maybe do the tour with the guide and then go back, if you're a nerd like me. The place was beautiful. It is 20 min of walking/standing so beware. And it's Ghana so the outside side parts will be hot and humid. We had a bonus because it was Accra Fashion Week!

A tribute to Ghana’s first president, this museum is very informative about the life and legacy of Nkrumah. We went with a guide who was very friendly and answered all our questions. The tour lasts about 1 hour, but then you’re free to continue exploring or revisit things at your leisure. We very much enjoyed the experience.

There's a bar inside where I watched the African Cup- fun Surprise. Great atmosphere. Pretty in the evening when the place is illuminated with the colorful lights! Cash only. Closes at 8 pm.

A well known site to Ghanaians and people all around the world. Whether you are her on business or on for pleasure stop by. There is so much history and knowledge that can be found at this center. Affordable entrance fee and multiple things to do. My favorite part was the benches and shaded grass area. The grass area is perfect for lounging or a picnic should time allow. I would suggest bringing your own drinks and food as the food there was overly expensive. The museum was nice, but a quick question walk through experience. I didn’t have a guide so that may lend to a different experience. Looking forward to returning next year with a larger group.

This is a nice museum dedicated to Ghana's founding father. There was plenty of parking available. It was easy to get tickets. You can have a self guided or guided tour and we opted for the latter although the guided tour wasn't explicitly listed as an option. We randomly happened to be behind a group that was getting the guided tour and it was offered to us. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made the trip fun. Definitely make sure to ask for a guide if you are interested. Overall, it was an educational trip and I learned a lot. Highly recommended.

Nice beach, a lot of restaurants, variety of activities like horse riding. The vendors are quite disturbing and when the tides are high you are not allowed to swim in the sea.

We had a pleasant visit to Labadia Beach, though it was very crowded while we were there (Sunday afternoon). There are plenty of restaurants to choose from that offer tables and umbrellas to sit under while you eat / drink, as well as beach activities you can pay for (horseback riding, ATV rides). There are some pretty picturesque places on the beach, but you have to get away from the crowds and trash to find them. This is the dirtiest beach I've ever been to (trash is everywhere, including in the waves). There were people swimming in the water, but I didn't feel comfortable getting in the water, as you'll be swimming with a lot of debris. In the midst of all the crowds are a lot of merchants selling various trinkets. I found these merchants much less aggressive than the ones on Oxford Street, as when you say "no thank you," they nod and walk away instead of asking repeatedly. For those who want a quieter experience, you can walk all the way down to the other end of the beach where you'll find some flat rocks to sit on. I'll call this place "Lovers Cove" as it only had a handful of couples sitting quietly enjoying the waves hitting the rocks. Very peaceful. Overall, I recommend visiting, even if just for the experience, but expect a crowd on the weekend, lots of merchants, and quite a bit of trash. If you look past all of that, you can have a pleasant time.

We are here . 20 cedis per person , that threw us . Then a thousand people want to get you to sit down in an area to buy refreshments . Then continually harassed to buy pictures,trinkets bages etc. Overall not sure it's working. If you can be left in peace it would be better.

It is unbelievably too crowded on the weekends. There was so much going on...horses everywhere you turn, and even ATV's on the sand. Every few minutes someone would ask me if I wanted to ride the horse. If you want a more quiet experience, visit during the weekday. Either way, I think this place is overrated.

Th beach was lovely for the most part. Not a lot of food on site but it has some pretty cool bars and really helpful vendors. I visited at night and there were still a considerable number of people around, not crowded and it felt safe

Am in Labadi beach and this place is filthy!! There are trash everywhere and horse poop. We got charged at the gate but it seems like none of the money is being used to do anything other lined peoples pocket

The horse ride was fantastic! My friend was riding for the first time and Georgina our horse was gracious. It was a bit pricey to be honest, but the ride was worth it The beach comes alive at night and nothing was more thrilling than the double side - the loud partying music on the one end and nothing but the waves and water and fishermen on the other.

I am afraid the gardens and buildings are being neglected. It is worth a visit to see the variety and to experience something outside of Accra, but it is a shame that not more effort is going into the upkeep.

It is unlikely that I will be using their services. But, I think his reviews and corporate website would be worth looking at if you were considering that type of work.

Being from Aburi, I couldn’t be happier with how the botanical gardens has been turned around. There is still room for improvement but this is the best place to relax and maybe have a picnic if you are ever climbing up the mountain. Don’t forget to find the hollow tree. Growing up there were stories of a pot up the tree, it was so scary that, we were asked never to go in and look up. Having grown up, the first thing I wanted to do when I visited was look up. Lol

For the quiet seekers, this would be ideal to visit during the less festive seasons, or on weekdays where less events actually happen in order to enjoy the peace and quiet that the garden has to offer - among the trees and lush grounds.

Amazing place, where you will feel completely immersed in nature. The road from Accra is excellent and safe. We had our meal at Rocky restaurant where, besides eating good food, you enjoy good reggae music. I highly recommend it!

Quite a nice place to visit. Unfortunately, only the main alleys are well groomed. Not enough explanatory signs around the trees, even though it is a botanical garden! There are very few benches, so you should keep it in mind. The fence around the garden is damaged here and there, and many visitors come from the holes free of charges :) Warning: the palm wine sold by local vendors was not fresh (or mixed with dirty water), we got a bad poisoning there.

It's Burger King. It's the same energy as any I've been to. The service was decent and kind. I feel they forgot about my meal as it was the only take out but that was quickly rectified. The food was as expected.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the treatment I received at the Burger King located in Accra Mall on 3 November 2023. I was a paying customer who was in a difficult situation, and the manager, John, refused to help me. I had a rough day that started with cracking my phone screen and having to repay it on the same day. I then had to take multiple Ubers to get around Accra. To make up for a difficult day, I decided to treat myself and my children to Burger King. However, my phone battery was on 2% when we arrived. After ordering our food, I noticed that my phone battery was dangerously low. I paid for our food in good faith and approached Wisdom, the cashier, to inquire about the possibility of charging my phone. Wisdom was understanding and empathetic, trying his best to advocate on my behalf to John, the manager. Unfortunately, John was dismissive and refused to help, citing company policy. Despite my pleas and explanations regarding the safety of my children and myself, especially as a non-Ghanaian citizen, John remained unmoved. His lack of compassion and disregard for my situation was disheartening. I felt helpless and exasperated, but I decided to stand up for myself and my children. I informed Wisdom that I would be filing a complaint with Burger King's headquarters. Within ten minutes, John approached me and reluctantly agreed to let me charge my phone. However, the experience left a bitter taste and raised serious concerns about Burger King's customer service standards. I urge you to take immediate action to address this matter. John's behavior was unacceptable and reflected poorly on Burger King as a brand. Additionally, Burger King should review its policy regarding customer phone charging in emergency situations. I hope that my complaint will lead to positive changes within Burger King's organization. I believe that every customer deserves to be treated with respect and compassion, especially when they are in need of assistance.

Pretty impressive but otherwise a bit thin if you don't consider the experience of Ghana's journey to independence to be the most interesting thing about the country. Some good photo opps and a museum that does it's best to share history. No concessions.

A tribute to Ghana’s first president, this museum is very informative about the life and legacy of Nkrumah. We went with a guide who was very friendly and answered all our questions. The tour lasts about 1 hour, but then you’re free to continue exploring or revisit things at your leisure. We very much enjoyed the experience.

There's a bar inside where I watched the African Cup- fun Surprise. Great atmosphere. Pretty in the evening when the place is illuminated with the colorful lights! Cash only. Closes at 8 pm.

A well known site to Ghanaians and people all around the world. Whether you are her on business or on for pleasure stop by. There is so much history and knowledge that can be found at this center. Affordable entrance fee and multiple things to do. My favorite part was the benches and shaded grass area. The grass area is perfect for lounging or a picnic should time allow. I would suggest bringing your own drinks and food as the food there was overly expensive. The museum was nice, but a quick question walk through experience. I didn’t have a guide so that may lend to a different experience. Looking forward to returning next year with a larger group.

The Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Museum is a place where you can learn about the life of a significant person in the history of Ghana. The museum is designed in a way that helps you understand and connect with his story. The museum is in a beautiful park with greenery and fresh air. Our only problem was that our guide seemed tired, which affected our experience a little bit. However, I would recommend this museum to anyone wanting to learn more about Ghana's history and independence.

This is a nice museum dedicated to Ghana's founding father. There was plenty of parking available. It was easy to get tickets. You can have a self guided or guided tour and we opted for the latter although the guided tour wasn't explicitly listed as an option. We randomly happened to be behind a group that was getting the guided tour and it was offered to us. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made the trip fun. Definitely make sure to ask for a guide if you are interested. Overall, it was an educational trip and I learned a lot. Highly recommended.
