Beautiful water it was extremely hot when I went 3 years ago...but it was good ...except for my company could have gone without them. Cool place!!

If you’re from a country where people don’t litter on the beach you’ll be disappointed. Was covered in rubbish when I was there. I hope local authorities act on this because once word gets out the beach has rubbish everywhere, tourists won’t want to come.

Beautiful beach north east of Varadero that stretches well over a dozen kilometers. It has light and clear blue water and fish a plenty to view by snorkeling. This stretch is where the majority of the resorts are but you can enter the east part of the beach through the town of Varadero. The sunset viewing opportunities are also magnificent. This is one of the nicest and cleanest beaches in the world.

One of the nicest beaches I have ever been to. The sand is white and soft and the sea and an amazing blue and is as clear as can be.

This is a gorgeous cave with a refreshing swimming hole. FYI the water was decently chilly despite having gone in March. It is quite touristy so expect a plentiful crowd and a line to go down to the water. It is definitely a great activity to do if you find yourself in the area.

This is a cenote, which you totally need to go to if you're in Cuba! The road there is easy and the surrounding is well maintained. It's great to swim in the water, but be careful not to scratch yourself as the cliffs are ruffled.

If you are in Varadero, I suggest a quick trip over here, and to also bring snorkeling gear! If you aren't a swimmer you'll probably be here for just 15-30 mins. If you snorkel and swim you will stay here longer. Cool little cave and walk down. The water was relatively cool and clear. We went when it wasn't busy and it made the experience much better. There is not a lot of room to loiter, but there is a deck halfway up that you can view from. There is also a deck at the bottom but I would say that would be more for swimmers. Unfortunately there is no desk or spot to place your belongings, but you can put them on the rocks/outside of the stair pathways. There are lots of large, slow moving millipedes near the jungle canopy, so watch out as you head down into the cave!

A beautiful underground cave that makes its own mineral water. The water goes from 1 feet to 22 feet. The staff was very friendly and gave us a chance to go inside even though they were officially closed. I would recommend it for any one. Not for kids under 4 or 5 years old. It's too many steps to get to the cave.

This cave is really cool... the water is like nothing I've ever seen! It's a quick visit (15-30 mins) because it's really just the a short decent into the cave and then you're at the water, but I highly recommend visiting.

It's worth a visit. Safe to walk down and reach the tiny pond. The warer is refreshing and clear. One one side is 1 or 2 meters...however within few meters toward the other side , it is 20 meters deep!

They got drinks and life jackets if needed. Life jackets not included in the price. The water was a good temperature. Floor was when in the water was hard to walk on. It went from 1m to 2m to 20m real fast. Would recommend

This place was incredible!!!!!! The whole experience. That being said go alone and not with the excursion. I read that the excursion you only get so much time in the caves and it's expensive.. we took a cab from our resort. Paid $5 each to get in and swam for 30 mins or really as long as you want... the water temperature and colour are JUST AMAZING!!!! There is a small little bar where we got drinks! Also if you were already there check out PLAYA CORAL only 5 mins from there!!

I came here on a trip to Cuba for the Holidays/New Years. This experience is totally worth it! They are super friendly here. They sell beer and snacks. They also offer you a life jacket if you need for $1USD. It's definitely worth the trip down here. I recommend coming here on your own and paying the small admission fee of $5USD. Otherwise you can also get this experience through the excursion package which offers a few other things like snorkeling, horse back riding etc.

This was a pretty cool place to go! The water was lovely. The walk down is beautiful! We spent about 1.5 hours in the water exploring. When we were done we went up top and had drinks and food and then changed. The cave is a lot smaller that expected. It was very busy, I would suggest going in the morning! We were there for 2 hours and had about 30 minutes to ourselves then the buses from excursions came. They have spikes on the deck posts to hang your bags from. They have a life guard. We took a cab from our resort and asked if he could wait and take us home. We paid 80 CAD and we got two hours of swim time. Total time with him was 4 hours (The excursion was $75USA per person) this was saved us a lot of money. Things I wish I brought: - toilet paper - swim goggles - water proof flashlight for the cave

A beautiful cave with clear turquoise fresh water. You can dive, swim or snorkel. The place is actually not big. We arrived at 9:30am so it wasn't that crowded. But I can imagine that it must be jam-packed in the middle of the day when it's hot outside and nice and cool in the cave.

Fantastic experience with a cenote. Almost the same or better than some of these to notice at Merida in Mexico. Once you jump into the water, it is a little bit cold and can get a minute or so to get used to it. the experience is absolutely fantastic. We did encountered a group of people who are absolutely drunk and jumping into it. At some places, it is really shallow, so absolutely do not recommend doing cannonball jumps. The restaurant at this place is also a nice touch, small with a very limited menu, but if you’re starving… Beggars can’t be choosers

Great picturesque place when visiting Downtown Varadero. Caopnes is a definite place to stop. Beware of the horse and buggy drivers as they try and take you for wxtra cash when your ride is done.

Nice park for a walk or to go jogging in the morning. A couple of animals are running around and they have some nice restaurants and bars which open in the evening. The mini golf place is pretty messed up but I guess it is not active anymore, same for the pool at the back of the park.

the Pina Coladas we're delicious strong!!!! Try it without rum, it is very refreshing. The service is excellent. Loved this place. My family and I were here for a full afternoon. Worth it.

Parque Josone is located in Varadero 🇨🇺, nice to have a little walk and see the surroundings, careful with the buses to get there that are a badly explained and it is a shame that there’s no information panel that explains a bit how the parc was built etc

The shops were fine, it was really just a grocery store (with no energy drinks, despite the redbull signs). The bathrooms feature a man standing outside charging you to go in, but my washroom didn't have soap in it. Another patron confronted him on the matter saying it was "not fair-o" to charge a fee to pee, given the lack of hygienic standards being met. The purse my girlfriend got was nice, the product offered is as promised, however the dingey environment, and weirdo standing outside the bathroom make for a less than perfect shopping experience.

First impression of these premises is a nice place to stay. But with the second view you'll find out that you have entered another disappointing tourist center with unnecessary shops selling all kind of touristic stuff at exaggerated prices, which you can find everywhere in Varadero but nothing useful. No further need to go there!

At this mall you can find some stores like: clothing, pharmacy, souvenirs, baby products, coffee and restaurants. All the prices are in USD and they accept credit cards.

It's nice and refreshing to see a modern upscale shopping mall in Cuba! It's located by the ocean with beautiful views and very easy access by bus or taxi. The mall is beautiful! It's very spacious, clean and great Covid safety protocols - hand sanitizers in every corner! Lots of outdoor sitting /resting area. There are a few souvenir shops, nice quality and tasteful clothing stores, cigar and rum shops. The prices are higher for quality items, but very unique and worthy. There is a supermarket downstairs with good selections of liquor and beers, but limited selections on other items because of the pandemic. Nicely decorated restaurants and bars, but few of them were open. The price of the items in some shops seems to be in Euro. Most shops accept foreign cash and credit cards. The customer service in shops and supermarket are very friendly, polite and helpful. Overall it was a very present shopping and sightseeing experience away from the hotel. Would definitely recommend if you want to see the modern side of Cuba!

Pricey items, that are outdated. I used to love Colors of Benetton when I went to Europe 20 years ago. They have a store at the Plaza. The Plaza is like shopping at Winner's here in Canada, various items, overpriced, outdated and out of style. All shops have extremely high prices, and I am sure that the shops know this, but they should really decrease the items by about 90% of what they are asking for. This is by no means a comparable place to Rodeo drive in Hollywood CA, but prices are comparable to that. Beautiful spot, Ocean view is spectacular, and great for photos. Restaurant food is about @200 USD each, unreal. They have a little gift shop/vendor area outside the back of the Plaza, we bought souvenirs there. We only visited the Plaza for Cigars, and did not buy anything else. Save your money folks!

It was never open , when we came they always said it’s closed and it will be open tomorrow. So we came the next day and it was open . This happened 2 times . Shops in the mall - space used for the shops 40% , opened shops 25%. Italian restaurant , cocktail bar, pharmacy with very few things, some gift shops , one grocery store , bank. Cash machines not working. They give you only pesos in the bank so take dollars or euro with you to Cuba . I recommend to buy all souvenirs or small gifts in airport ( it’s much cheaper and a lot to choose from ) . Rum or cigars - I recommend to buy in the mall or somewhere in the city. So this place has a lot of potential but… I know now is not very good time for Cuba. The mall it’s in beautiful location , by the beach . So close and the beach it’s just breathtaking. I hope they will do some terraced restaurants or bars from that side of the mall.

My review is for the restaurant on the second floor with the ocean view. The view is great, but the service and food are so bad. Maybe because we are tourists, they served me a small lobster that was gone so badly and smelled like a toilet. Even worse than that is they try to charge me for 1800 CUP which on their menu is 1000CUP. As a tourist, I would never come back to this restaurant again and I strongly advise other visitors to think twice before coming.

Not so much to choose. Everyone will send you here to buy some local rum, but unfortunately there isn't much to choose from, just lots of bottles of the same brand. This place is nice, staff is friendly, they offer you rum tasting and you find cigars here as well. But that’s it, same bottles you can find in any hotel or at the airport with the same price.

Very nice place with friendly staff and a wide selection of rum and a smaller selection of cigars. There's a tasting area, I would be sure to take your time there. They accept CUC and credit cards, with a 3% fee, which is handy if you end up buying more than you planned - which you might after trying some samples. Prices for rum are quite a bit cheaper than in Canada.

I came in with a tour and we did a rum and liqor taste test. Seriously, get the dark legendario, so delicious! This is a great place to buy the bottles of liquor you want to take home. The prices are some of the best I've seen. Great selection!

I visited this place through TUI, we tasted 11 different kinds of rum and liquors , it was a great experience. You can buy all kinds of them for reasonable price except Santiago de Cuba-in airport is around £13

I was ripped off here. I bought a bottle of Black Tears Cuban rum here. The price on the shelf was around $15 USD (I don't remember the exact amount, but in that vicinity). Not a top shelf rum. When I got back to Canada I discovered that I had been charged $43.60 USD on my debit card. Partly my own fault for not paying attention I suppose, but still. It's not a bad shop to peek into otherwise and you can sample a few of the rums. Just pay attention if you make a purchase.

Went here for the rum and cigar tour back in June. They had a variety of rums to sample, but the price wasn’t cheap. Just another tourist spot to go to. Rums were cheaper at Plaza Americas and some stores by downtown Varadero. Staff were very friendly, but you can buy rums for better price elsewhere.

Nice place, friendly guys here, you can snorchel. The things to see is not something special though if you have been to other good destinations. The undersea is not so astonishing, there are some corals, some damaged, still ok. Still nice place. They expect you to pay something after for parking.

A nice beach for snorkeling. Lots of fish and coral. About a 30 minute drive from Varadero. 10 CUC for he snorkeling tour. But it is a public beach and you could bring your own gear and go out on your own.

We snorkeled at this location on a tour. It was beautiful. Lots of coral and fish to see. Our guide was great too. Only thing is getting into and out of ocean is tricky if wavy. Rocks are slippery. However the people there was very helpful at getting you out.
