Long 40 kph drive up to top but view was worth it. Public are not allowed up peak because there is a lodge up near peak and you have to get past electric gate. We were lucky as a taxi had to go and pick up a passenger and we were at the front and drove through when gate opened.

Best place to go to view the sunset, so unrealistic the view, the colors, the cloud. The road to drive up is a bit thin but apart from that definitely worth visiting

Always worth a visit to the top of Te Mata Peak. You can drive or long track walk (access closes 10pm every night) and exercise caution if heavy rain or cloud cover. Great views in all directions.

Beautiful prominent escarpment with fantastic views across the Heretaunga plain, TukiTuki valley to the ocean and ranges to the west. Lots of walking and biking trails. Best time to visit is sunrise and sunset. Finish off with a meal at Craggy Range if feeling flush.

Amazing Vistas, great place and must do if you visit Napier. You can walk, run or drive to the peak. If you want to drive check the map carefully to ensure you are en route to the top of the mountain car park. Apple Maps took us to Te Mata Park. If you want to have a bit of a hike, there is a car Park at Te Mata Park, it took us just under 2 hours to walk up, but we were stopping to take photo’s in particular the small Redwood grove that you pass on the way up. It’s a moderate uphill walk most of the way. No real steep sections. The view from the top, absolutely worth it no matter which way you get there.

Gorgeous view, accessible both by driving and walking. Personally prefer the walking track, the track is well maintained with clear directional guidance, lots of highlights/features along the way too!

If the place is busy is for a reason. Windy, very windy but what a view! Great option for the whole family. You can drive until the very top, but you can accept the challenge and do some of the tracks around and enjoying the sleeping giant.

A beautiful walk sunrise, midday or sunset. Warm oranges to rich green colours. Plenty of forest and bird, and views in all directions. Recommend parking at the end of Tauroa road, and walking the chambers walk and onto blue or red to the top (reasonable fitness required). Visit the giant redwoods on the way. There's toilets at the carpark and a filtered drinking fountain. Expect around 2+ hours return to the carpark if you are sight seeing.

Love this spot, a great place to overlook Hastings, Havelock and Napier, views of the Ruahine Mountain Range and the Kaweka Mountain Range. Pack an afternoon picnic lunch and enjoy the views with your favourite human beings find a spot put your blanket out on the grass and enjoy the warm Hawkes Bay sun.

It was quite windy and cloudy, but the experience was worth it! Suggestion: Instead of driving all the way to the top, I would recommend walking on the track to the peak as it is an exhilarating experience.

Noice. Would recommend walking up the mountain if you are able. Tracks are very well signposted and the view is nice. Make sure to read the history of the mountain.

I recently had the chance to visit the one and only Te Mata Peak. Truly one of New Zealand's hidden gems. The views on offer from the top are nothing short of breathtaking - as far as the eye can see, vast expanses of picturesque landscapes enveloped by the pristine sky. While the roads leading to the top are quite narrow, the drive is worth every bit. Hiking up the peak is equally exhilarating, with well-maintained paths ensuring safety for all ages. Te Mata Park's intrusion into the wilderness feels minimal yet abundantly immersive. Facilities like clean restrooms, ample parking, and informative signage round off the experience wonderfully. Moreover, the staff is polite, knowledgeable, and quite keen on maintaining the ecological balance of the area. Had the set menu with my partner here on Friday 8pm, approx 5 servings throughout, which I accompanied with the matching wines. 10-10 dining experience, delicious flavours, and an all round knock out experience. Probably the best dining I’ve been to in a while, the entire staff were amazing too. (P.S I never tip as I find it a little American, but I actually did tonight because everything was so good it deserved it). Awesome stuff team, will come back again.

We were lucky enough to be able to snag a wine tasting experience without a booking, but book ahead to make sure you don't miss out. The staff were lovely and our wine connoisseur told us about each of the wines we were tasting, the regions and soil profile for each of the wines and how their wines might differ from others from the same region. The wine tasting came in two different classes, with the base 'family' wines costing $35pp, and the prestige tasting $65pp. The prestige tasting includes more wines and also includes side by side tasting of different wines of the same variety or vintage - a real treat for anyone who enjoys wine. Whilst it was a little steep price wise to what we are used to, the whole tasting experience was unique and ultimately we were very happy to pay what we did. The wines themselves were delicious and are to be enjoyed for what they are - don't compare them to what you might be used to from Australia/Europe etc. The Chardonnay was a treat and a real eye opener having never had a drinkable, let alone enjoyable, Chardonnay back home. The Sophia blend was also a real stand out. Food platters were available and ours was delicious, showcasing beautiful local and seasonal produce. The caramelised walnuts were a hit. The grounds and views from the cellar door were also amazing. This winery is a must visit if you are in the Napier/Hawkes Bay region of NZ. Book ahead of time, and allow a good 2 hours at least to make the most of the whole experience if going for the premium tastings.

We had the most amazing lunch at Craggy Range Winery. From the second we turned the corner into the driveway we were blown away beyond belief. The setting is absolutely stunning, service was impeccable and the food was delicious. A one of a kind venue in every way possible.

Excellent service, from the moment we stepped foot inside. Food was absolutely delicious, very flavourful. I would recommend to share a dessert, your eyes will be bigger than your tummy by the end! Drinks were a good choice too, from the cocktail and wine menu! The atmosphere was great. Definitely a winery to visit in Hawkes Bay. Wine and cheese outside as the sun sets, perfect!

Came for dinner here with my parents. We had the set menu with wine match. Was just beautiful. Very very tasty food with plenty of it, friendly helpful knowledgeable staff beautiful local produce. The views are beautiful up to Te Mata peak. I loved it will certainly visit again.

We went to Craggy Range winery, which was another amazing experience. First note: Bookings are Essential! Booking in hand, we arrived at this premier destination in Hawkes Bay. It is a family owned boutique winery with a restaurant, accommodations and well crafted, elegant wines. Based on the reviews, dinner would have been amazing; but, this wine experience was well worth every penny, creating memories that I am packing back to the States. The hostess, Lauren, was friendly and welcoming. We appreciated her beyond words and felt immediately at home. Once seated at an outdoor table, we basked in the fantastic scenery that is Te Mata Peak; and then our wine guru and educator, Michael, joined us at the table and the experience of being in the premier wine country of New Zealand came to life. Michael was wonderful. I asked him to speak slower, as I am not Kiwi-lingual; we laughed and he shared his amazing knowledge, from the story of the winery to his love and passion for each of the five wines I enjoyed. He knew his grapes and, as I asked a ton of questions, he jovially explained and shared his passion with me. It was awesome and a highlight of my trip.

Went in for a simple wine-tasting. The host offered us a private booth for the tasting and joined us as he poured each wine to explain in-depth the history, grape and body of each pour. Had his iPad on his hand to show us the sites of the vineyards. We’ve been to many tastings but this was certainly a notch-above our previous experiences.

We had a wonderful experience at the cellar door, trying over 9 wines from their family and prestige ranges, paired with a fantastic meat and cheese board, particularly want to thank you for Kevin’s help, he gave us a wonderful time for this tasting session, lots of details of wines and story! Their cellar door is in a spectacularly beautiful building with views of Te Mata peak across the street. We also took dinner here and food was excellent, couldnt be better! Must visit!!

Craggy range was an amazing experience. The wine tasting was exceptional, Maddi the staff member who served my friend and I and took us through our wine tasting was amazing and grew our love for wine. Definitely will be going back and will recommend.

Almost a 5 star but dropped the ball at the end of our chefs menu lunch with matched wines. Absolutely stunning property, menu was great and food delicious, however attention to detail got left behind at the last course. While other guests were being offered seats outside to enjoy deserts and drinks, we got asked if we wanted our taxi ordered. When advised no we would like to stay and enjoy a wander around the property we were left waiting almost 20 minutes for our bill. At first we didn't think much of it, then it dragged on and on to the point our waitress had moved on to serving others. Shame that the experience finished the way it did.

We visited the cellar door for a wine tasting and had a lovely time! The views are picturesque, and we enjoyed chatting with Gabriel (our guide for the tasting). The wines were delicious, I'd recommend stopping here if you're looking for an upscale stop on your Hawke's Bay wine tour.

We stayed at the Rose cottage over the Easter weekend and had a top notch experience. From checking in on day one to checking out on the last day everything was spot on. The staff were so attentive, responsive, friendly and very professional. Nothing was overlooked. We had slight issue with the toaster in the cottage which was replaced in an instant. The complimentary breakfasts and bottle of wine were a very nice touch. If I was forced too, the only tiny suggestion would be for one/two other spreads to be available. We also were booked for dinner in the restaurant and theres noit much to say about that as its got to one of the best in the country..... again the staff are well trained, professional and friendly with nothing left to chance. Will be back for sure....

My wife and I visited this place on our 20th anniversary day last month. We chose Craggy range shared menu for lunch and surprised because of the service and quality. When we asked about the single menu to staff, he explained well about it and was very nice. We didn't think we could have this kind of well coordinated course menu. All ingredients of cuisines were very harmonious and very natural. We enjoyed the meal and were very happy all day thanks to satisfaction for the meal. After lunch, we moved to winery to have wine tasting. Frankly, we didn't know much about wine. But staff was very kind and he explained us about wines. It was great time as well. Specially thanks to Jack H at restaurant and Oscar at winery who served us with kind and smile. The staffs and Craggy range gave us unforgettable day.

The accommodation at Craggy Range is an incredible experience. From the moment we arrived, we were taken care of and felt very relaxed. The facilities are top notch. The room was spacious and well appointed, bed was very comfortable and the living space was outstanding. The breakfast in the mini bar ready for the next day is a fantastic inclusion.

The experience and facilities absolutely matches the fine wine. We had an amazing experience taken through the different regions where the wines are made by one of the winery connoisseurs. She was so knowledgeable and super friendly. We will absolutely recommend to visit if you’re looking a unique experience when at Hawkes Bay

We had an exceptional dinner at the Craggy Range restaurant last night. My partner and I had the tasting menu and from the moment we walked in we felt very special and looked after. Our glasses never ran out and the food came out frequently. We cannot emphasise enough how good the food is! Interesting and delicious combinations and plenty of it. Sitting at the chefs table, we loved interacting with the kitchen and extra items that weren’t even on the menu came out as a special treat - including one of our favourites the paua, which was a great surprise. We paired with the premium wine tasting and for only an extra $20 would highly recommend. The first was Tattinger which in itself probably paid for the extra price tag. Our waiter looked after us excellently, with great knowledge of the wines that he was serving and a warm and charismatic touch. Nothing was ever too much - eg sensing we were full after the dessert he offered if we would like to share a dessert and they’ll make us some truffles to take away - absolutely just what we felt like. We will definitely be back next time we are in the Hawkes Bay.

We stopped here for lunch during a wine touring event. The wind are (of course) excellent and this rating is for the whole experience, not just the wine. The food itself was well worth the stop. Five stars for the food quality. It had a dazzling array of flavors, tastes, colors and presentations. Certainly Michelin quality. No complaints about the food. I will say it’s odd (to me) but that they offer a la cart, 3 course, and 5 course meal options—- but the whole table has to pick the same option. For our group of five the only choice we could all agree on was a la cart. Maybe there was a staffing issue, but the wait times were surprisingly long. This was a Tuesday 1p lunch. There were 4 tables of 4-6 people elsewhere in the restaurant. The kitchen is open viewing and there were 5 chefs working along with a wait staff of 3. No joke, the wait time between courses wa 30-40 min. Our meal took 2h for an entree and a main course. No apps or dessert. I don’t know if that’s what they’re going for, but on a day where we were touring wineries we had to cancel one stop because the f the delay. Also, again oddly to me, our server disappeared for 20+min and another waiter had to take over our table. Again maybe something was going on… not sure. I don’t think we’ll be back. Food was good tho.

We enjoyed an awesome afternoon dining in the Resturant a Craggy Range. Service from waiting and front of house staff was 6 star, friendly but not overbearing. Food was phenomenal, we had eight courses and they were all excellent. We sat at the kitchen window bar to eat and were able to watch the kitchen staff go about their work; a well oiled machine and plenty of respect shown to all by all. The restrooms were modern and very clean.

Amazing winery! Our server Laura was incredible. She had extensive knowledge about every wine, and paired vintages of the same style in different years so that we could taste the differences. She answered all our questions and taught us so much. Highly recommend the tasting and the cheese board. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience, Laura and Peter!

Exceptional service - very attentive yet with a nice dash of laidback Kiwi casualness. The food was incredible as were the wines. Cannot beat the location! Loved wandering through the vines to see the impressive kitchen garden afterwards.

We specifically booked this experience for the tasting menu. It’s a lovely five course experience. We’d had a tasting menu elsewhere the day before where each item was individually plated, and I think that spoiled us a little. We do like the performance and art of individual plating, but the presentation and food were both still beautiful at Craggy Range (some of the courses are all served on one plate and each person takes their portion). Dietary needs were accommodated and the wine pairings were thoughtfully explained. We had a table by a window and enjoyed the sweeping views. For a splash out of an evening–this is a lovely spot.

Beautiful location, awesome service, amazing food. We ate at the craggy range restaurant for our 1st wedding anniversary and the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. The glass of bubbles before our meal and small gift at the end were a lovely touch to an already 5 star experience. Thanks team 🩷

We enjoyed a tasting on the patio followed by the eight-course tasting menu dinner seated at the chef's table overlooking the kitchen. Service was excellent, food was delicious, wines were well paired, and watching the intricate dance that is meal-preparation in a fine-dining restaurant is immensely entertaining. One of our favorite courses was the bread served with Camembert butter with honey and salt. By the time the dessert arrived, we thought we would not be able to eat another bite, but we finished the beautiful soft meringue with rhubarb to the very bottom of the dish. A most enjoyable experience of food and wine.

Heard this place was one Of the best spots in NZ and it truly delivered. We did the set menu, and given I’m dairy free set menus are a pain. Not here, they made each dish as special as the others with a DF twist - service was awesome - I can’t see why many people call this the best restaurant in NZ. Worth every penny.

Fun. Fun. Fun. Sadly didn't get to explore the whole water park but we had arrived mid day with 3 kids, youngest 4... so I would say to make the most of it, get there in the morning. Tickets can be purchased at the door.

We had Goodtime Pies Whanau day here 9/12/23. Staff were friendly and very helpful before entry so we had no problems getting our large group through the doors. We had a good area reserved with tables and seats and cover. A big thank you to the splash planet staff for helping make our day awesome and hassel-free. Was a Great day!!!

When arriving the family and I were greeted by a friendly and professional staff member, that set the tone for the entire day. I bought tickets online and the process of entering the park was easy and quick. Once we entered the park, it was clean, well maintained and generally just a nice place to be. The pools were clean, the bathrooms were clean and for a parent with a young child the presence of lifeguards at every pool made the experience a lot less stressful. When it was time for a bite to eat, we had plenty of options and the ice-cream was delicious. I will gladly recommend the park to anyone and especially for families looking for a fun day out

Splash Planet is the best Waterpark in New Zealand hands down. They have waterslides, lazy river, big pool and even jeep and train rides. Parking can be challenging, so it pays to get there early at opening time, then get a good spot where you can even set up a tent. Check their website for the opening and closing dates each year

The kids have had an absolute blast and we can't wait to visit again next season, it was well worth the drive from Tauranga to see how much our family enjoyed it here, so much to do, dry rides like go karts, train ride and loads to do in the water like bumper boats and so many hydroslides, we will definitely be back, really recommend a visit if you're in Hastings/Napier area. The only single criticism I have, is that on a hot day here, there aren't any water/drinking fountains, and being an attraction of this scale I would have thought there should've been, once we'd ran out of drinking water that we brought there was nowhere to refill our bottles.

The online ticketing system is rubbish. You have to create an account which is absurd, didn't matter in the end as it wouldn't work for me confirming my email as it would send me to an error page. So I was punished with full price for having to pay at the gate, it's a couple of dollars cheaper per ticket if you pay online. The park itself is really good and the staff were very pleasant. I'd recommend arriving 20-30mins early and reserving a picnic spot for your bags and towels. The food is pretty good but I'd recommend taking a picnic. It's quite expensive and you have to wait a while. I waited for 25mins for a burger. Try to get the go-karts done early on as the queues are consistently long throughout the day. It will close early too, I think it closed around 4pm.

Get here early to get parking & so u can enter early to secure a shaded spot for the family. We spent the morning time in the outdoor & indoor pools & the slides & afternoon exploring the other part of the park, from Mini Gold to Off Road Jeeps. The train ride along the park is a fun ride along the perimeter and my pics were taken during this ride. Some rides like the off road jeeps close much earlier than the park does so plan your itinerary. Would definitely go again and spend the day!

Fun but very cold. All outdoor pools are NOT heated, so the water is freezing outside. I recommend wearing a wetsuit. Book online to avoid long wait in queue. Once you enter the park, be prepared for long queues everywhere (Hydroslides, Bumper Boats, Go Karts) and Warning: a lot of kids push in the queues. The park was first build in 1998, so a lot of it is dated. Changing Rooms & Toilets need to be better maintained. They were filthy. Plenty of CarParking and the food is good (hot chips, pizza, ice cream etc).

A great place to take the kiddies! Fun for adults as well. There's 3 sets of tickets. 1 where you can go on all the rides/slides and swim. 2 where you're only allowed to swim and slides. 3 spectator (but you can jump on train and merry go round with the babies) Take your own shade and bbq if you want to. There's some greedy space hoggers there. Don't get me wrong, there is still tables and chairs, but they're not in the best areas.

Our family traveled over from Gisborne. First time here with the kids and the park was actually amazing. Kids thoroughly enjoyed their time here. Lots of pools for everyone to enjoy. Lines weren't too long even though it was Xmas eve so I'd say pretty busy. Plenty of room on the grass to park up with a picnic which you could tell there were some very experienced locals that had quite a good setup with Marquees and BBQ etc. Definitely would encourage people to take their own lunch or pop down the road as we did try the Hotdog from the shop there and it was terribly disappointing. The bread was stale, Lack of sauce and overall just not good at all so threw $6.50 of our money in the garbage. The train ride was super fun for everyone. Great way to see the park and where everything is so would recommend heading that way first after a quick dip to cool down. The inside pool was packed and very poorly lit in there so felt very dark and a tad creepy miss 11 said. We steered clear and stuck too the outdoor pools. There are toilets to your left as soon as you enter the park but the changing rooms are across the volleyball area which is quite a hike when you first get in with excited kids and a million bags to carry so would be a tad easier if they were closer as the kids just wanted to make a mad dash and ditch me. Prices are great and Definitely in our opinion worth it. Would happily spend that to get into this place. Overall great place to spend the day with your kids of all ages. Will definitely be returning throughout summer.

Almost like rainbows end was when it first started out. Smaller less clamorous rides, but shorter lines and probably a lot more fun. The swimming pools were freezing cold in the indoor pools Luke warm. A great day had by the whole family.

Splash planet was fun although it was a cold and very windy day which made the outdoor pool like swimming in the Antarctic🥶 and had to keep going to the inside pool to get warm which was only Luke warm and packed because everyone was doing the same🤣 On the up side of the weather being cold it wasnt that packed so there were no lines for any of the rides that we went on. We ate from the food store right outside the indoor pools, We had the splash basket for $12 which had 2 mini hotdogs, fish bites, chips, onion rings and squid rings which I thought was really good for the price. And also 2 cheese burgers which were simple but very delicious. I brought our tickets online which was a fast entry into the place instead of having to line up. We also got a locker for the day for $10 which was so handy. It fit 2 back packs and we squeezed 2 pairs of adult shoes in it while swimming. Like when I say squeezed I mean we had to push the door shut🤷‍♀️ But it worked. We got there bang on opening and did all the rides and activities first before swimming in case it got busy later on. Recommend you do that. And last but not least. The Kaitiaki walking around the grounds, the staff in the cafe, the food stall, the rides, the gift shop on exiting were just awesome awesome awesome. Nothing was a bother, and so happy to show and help us find our way around the place. And love that they spoke Te reo even if it was just a Kia Ora whanau. Felt so welcoming. Thank you guys so much. Whanau who come from Tauranga for a swim😁👊🙌👏

No honestly, it was great! Ignore the comments about cold water. It was 22° full cloud and lovely!! If you swim in the sea, river or lakes, you'll be right!! Staff were great, maybe 2 minutes to get in, 2 minutes on the slides, bit longer for bumper boats & things as they take longer to use. Felt very safe, life guards a plenty! Heaaaps of hot food on offer. One thing, the lockers are small!!! I'd suggest two or more. Especially if u packed lunch like the two of us did.

We spent whole day and still missed many activities. The water playground was so much fun This is great family place for picnic, birthday party and all kid ages.

Amazing for kids. Super fun. Highly recommend it. Arrive early to secure your place on the shade. Recommend bringing beverages and food to spend the day and ear more healthy. There are food options, but those are limited and mostly kids / junk food.

Always great visiting the local farmer's market on Sundays. We had an extra bonus last week when the local secondary young enterprise groups were selling their products. Great local food. Highly recommend the fresh juices, pies and cakes.

We had some extra time on a Sunday afternoon and decided to stop by this farmers market. They had live music which was enjoyable to listen to as well as fresh fruits and vegetables and lots of homemade unique foods. We had a Korean sandwich which was very interesting. Also, fresh juices which were delicious homemade cheeses, breads and honey. It was relaxing and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you have some time and want to taste some fresh local food.

A great farmers markets, a must if you're in the area every Sunday. Plenty of local produce, with all the stuff you expect to find plus a few extras like specialty Gin, I didn't expect that. Live music just adds to a great atmosphere.

Last week was Christmas market🎅🌲 There are food trucks and some lovely shops. Crepe, donuts, blueberry gelato and more kinds. Great atmosphere and cozy time!

One of my highlights everytime I go to Hastings. Been visiting for years and it’s always such a great way to spend a Sunday morning. Awesome selection of locally sourced food and drinks. Family friendly and currently dog friendly as they trial letting dogs come so your furry mates get to enjoy the fun. Highly recommend.

This market has the freshest produce I have ever seen. Particularly the Japanese grapes were huge and SO juicy. And the Hapi Ora cultured cashew cheeses - all 3 flavours were delicious, and they deliver nationwide. It was a perfect way to spend a Sunday morning with good coffee samples of great local food and friendly helpful vendors.

Lovely outdoors market. Great selection of stalls with some very unique offerings from venison black pudding to award winning cheeses from Hohepa (may be incorrectly spelt). With the markets being so popular it's a great way to spend a morning. The queues were a little long for bread and coffee but only as I had elsewhere to be that morning, as it was Easter. The stalls I visited were moderate in cost but the quality of the products were amazing, especially the cheese. A great family outing, with a large tree out the front to play on for the kids or an excellent escape from the kids. Totally recommend a visit.

First time there and very big for farmer's market and enjoy the day there as it is Sunday morning, time to enjoy and relax. Lots of yummy local delicious food to taste and try. 😁

Great place for an artisan market. Not much in the terms of veges, which is a bit odd given the name 'Farmers Market' Mind you, I'm not from Hawkes Bay, and this is just a bit after the devastation from Cyclone Gabriel. So maybe there used to be heaps of veges. Either way, the atmosphere is great. The crafts are even better. Massive fan of the cured venison and game meats vendors. Hawthorne coffee is probably Wellington worthy as 🤣

Great food, fresh veges, bread, pastry, coffee, cheese, olive oil, smoked fish, salami, French waffles and juice. Awesome music and relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended.

What a great market! Absolutely stoked we got along. Food and coffee options were excellent, and parking and exiting was a breeze.

Delightful experience dodging the rain showers (but I had an umbrella 😁). Bought some sourdough "raisins and pecan" bread to take home. Had a bacon sandwich with an egg (was still putting things back in my wallet when it was called out) followed by a large Tropicana fruit juice. Both were delicious.

Lovely variety of different veg and fruit. Pastries to live for. Coffee is excellent though be prepared to queue

This is the best farmers market we've ever been to!!! Have been three times now, and it never disappoints!! The photos of the food were all curated from the market and were very delicious! Grab a hot coffee, walk around and sample the goods, oils, breads, sauces, cheeses, meats and usually there is an amazing musician playing and lifting the vibe. Well recommended, heaps of parking too

This is the best and largest farmers market i have ever been in the North Island! Plenty of fresh vegetables, fruits, artisan breads, sweet treats, meats, cheese, honey, smoke meats, sauces and condiments,eggs, cooked food like pizza, sandwich, dosa, coffee and many more!! The price was very reasonable and affordable given the quality of fresh produce we received. We have tried products of the Chef's garden @Epicurean, Good Chow NZ condiments, Telegraph Hill Olive oil, Monsieur Macaron, The Bacon Sandwich Co, Yeast Coast Baking, Haralds Bread World and some natural lamb and mint sausages from The Organic Farm Butchery. All of the products are of very high quality with discounted price only found in the market. Will be back again!!

We didn't realise how big and popular the Hawkes Bay Farmers Market was until we got there! We thought it was really good. We had the bacon roll from Holly Bacon and it was delicious! I also bought some fruit seed and nut muesli from Peggy Daring after trying the sample. The danish and some sort of pizza bread from Haralds Bread World were also nice. Unfortunately we had a limited time so we weren't able to check out all the stalls. We did buy some apples to juice. We will definitely come back though. 😀

The environment is very welcoming, and the staff make you feel at home. The selection of wines are good and if you're doing a tasting, the staff are really great at weaving the profiles to the origins of the wine. The atmosphere could be more invested, but it's fine for a stop over.

This place is amazing. The wines are unique & beautiful and the host help with a passion. If you like wine, this is not to be missed. Thanks to Lee and the chef who makes the platters.

We really enjoyed our wine tasting at Sileni! The vineyard is quite lovely, while the cellar door is very nice and modern. The wines were excellent and interesting, while our server was very knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely recommend!

Thank you so much for a great time at Selini! We loved the wines and the people here; this is truly a gem of a place! A special thanks to Dom, our sommelier, who walked us through the wines with great patience and a great sense of humour. I am sorry that I hadn’t heard of this place sooner, and I’m very much looking forward to visiting again. As a side note, it is a beautiful place to visit, a welcoming entrance, the tasting room and patio are beautiful, and we really felt well looked after here.

We had a great wine tasting with Lee at Selini. He was very patient and knowledgeable and let us taste a few extra wines for comparison. The wines were just fabulous. We particularly enjoyed the Syrah. Well worth a visit

On 13th January 2024, a group of us popped in to purchase wine and inquire as to whether we could also purchase dessert. We were immediately, not so much told, but implied by a very harrased (it was busy and they were short staff or so it appeared) gentlemen that a tour bus was due so you may as well forget about good service or being treated as an appreciated potential customer. He scoffed at us for wanting to try a dessert wine asking us if we were all dessert wine people. Long story short, we left without making a purchase or feeling valued as customers. Two of us had never been to Seleni before so this was not a pleasant first impression. We had previously been to two wineries on Highway 50 that same day experiencing far superior service.

Had a wonderfully informative and delicious wine-tasting at Selini yesterday in the most idyllic surroundings. Dom made us feel right at home and walked us through a wonderful selection of wines, taking the time to explain each one to us. We will definitely be back and bring our friends next time as this Hawkes Bay winery is not to be missed. Outsanding!

Amazing experience! My husband and I did the wine tasting here and had the deli platter to complement it. Everything was so tasty. I especially liked the Savignon Blanc and the Semillon but what made this a 5 star spot was the service. Chris was our server and he had such passion for wine making. We learned a lot from him and it just overall made our experience so pleasant. Be sure to pop by! Only $10 for the wine tasting and the cheese and meat board was $45. You bet that we bought some wine for the family back home!

This was the first winery on the list when my girlfriends and I took a weekend trip here, and it was a great place to start. We sat outside, and the space was gorgeous! Lee guided us through a well-rounded tasting of 6 very different, very delicious wines. Lee was incredibly kind and personable too, he made us laugh and left us with fond memories of the Sileni Winery! I hope to come back soon ❤️

Very nice winery with a great host who made our visit interesting and tasty. The venue is amazingly large and has a shop to buy everything from cheese knifes, to cheese to glassware.

It's farm than a Zoo. Kids may like it. Can feed few of the animals. Few Ostrichs, different types of ducks, peacocka, deer, swan, horse, pony ride, hens, parrots etc are available.

Really impressed - lots to see and do, was a big hit with my 2yo son. We spent an hour there and it felt a bit rushed, next time will allow two hours and bring a picnic lunch. Lots of shade from big trees when you walk around to see the animals, and plenty of shaded picnic tables too. A big playground and vehicles for the kids to play on.

The kids loved it and so did I. Awesome place to come with the little ones and learn a lot about some animals. Great time !!

We really enjoyed our time today at the Farmyard Zoo. Our two year old daughter has been telling everyone she meets for weeks that she's going to go in a campervan and ride a pony. She was pretty hesitant at first when the time came but the staff were so helpful and she had a great first ride on a pony and it's been one of the highlights of our trip so far. We loved seeing and interacting with all the different animals especially seeing unique animals that we've never seen or heard of before such as many types of pheasants and the Cape Barren Goose. Thank you for the great family time together.

Great place for kids young and old, $1 for Maize to feed the animals, $6 for a pony ride. Can also go on a train ride. Has a playground and a party room for birthdays.

Fun petting zoo for the kids. Has train and pony rides. You can also buy food to feed the animals. Has quite a wide range of animals to view; from goats, sheep, chickens to deer, turkeys. Good for a half-day excursion.

A nice little petting zoo with a good variety of animals. All seem to be well housed except the parrots, their enclosures are in serious need of an upgrade.

Amazing place! Such an array of animals, very well kept and interesting for all the family. Great playground with various things you don't find in everyday playgrounds. Great service, loved the pony rides.

This is a must do. We were on the fence about it as we are kiwis and have had plenty to do with farms. But this was well worth it. Some of the little animals were amazing. Piglets were our fav.

My grandchildren loved interacting with feeding the lambs, goats, emus, ducks, deers, riding the horses, riding the train, they were excited, actually we all were just reminded my children and I of our child hood days feeding the animals, it was absolutely enjoyable for the entire family. We all loved it there and would go back there again💜💯.

10/10 best petting zoo in NZ, lovely grounds, reasonable price, pony rides, train, playground, nice animals and easy to feed. Highly recommend great day out for kids 🐃🐏🐇 owner and all staff really friendly and helpful.

Great place to visit. Friendly staff and family friendly place. Lots of things to do - look at and feed the animals, ride on a pony, go on the train ride, and feed the lambs milk. There's a playground, toilet, and picnic tables there so plenty of facilities for a day out.

Excellent for kids. Our 1.5yr old had the time of his life.
