This place is truly a heaven on earth for nature lovers. You can not go to a better place than this in Victoria. Fantastic place. You will have everything here. Breathtaking views everywhere, plenty of gorgeous beaches, tons of scenic walking tracks suit every fitness levels and short to multiple day walkers. Hundreds of camping sites and all facilities for them. Yet very clean and inviting environment. Most importantly this place is great for everyone including kids. This is a must visit place for anyone visiting Melbourne.

I had the most amazing weekend getaway at Wilsons Prom with a camping trip at Tidal River Campground and a sea cruise! It was my first time, and I can't express how surreal and mesmerizing the experience was. 😇 Here are some quick tips: 1. Make sure to plan your trip on a warm and sunny day. 2. Book your camping spot well in advance, ideally 2-3 months ahead. I highly recommend Tidal River Campsite; it was peaceful, clean, safe, and comfortable. It has convenient & handy BBQ spots, laundry services, well maintained restrooms. We were lucky to secure a spot at the last minute. 3. It’s good idea to get cruise tickets a day before from the centre there or you can book in advance online, it’s around $150 pp for 2.5hr cruise ride but it’s worth the experience For those, like me, who are new to sea cruises, here are some helpful tips to avoid seasickness: - Have a light morning breakfast, and something with ginger can help. - Choose seats in the middle at the back of the boat. - Stay hydrated during the cruise. - Take advantage of the sea sickness tablets provided by the staff. - Use the boat's restroom or ask the staff for assistance if you start feeling unwell. I must commend the boat staff for their exceptional support. I had a sudden bout of seasickness, and they took great care of me throughout the trip. The views during the sea cruise were absolutely mind-boggling and scintillating. It's a must-try experience! Just remember to pick a warmer day, as it can get chilly and windy out there.

One of the most scenic spots in Victoria. Why? Because it has such a wide selection of different walks, beaches and scenery to choose from. It's a rich environment to explore and warrants more than just a day trip to start to comprehend what it has to offer. Sure, Squeaky Beach, in my mind at least, has turned into a 'been there done that' tourist destination but have you seen Tidal River? Norman Beach? Whisky Bay? all unique with wonderful scenery and less crowds. If you intend to visit, allow enough time to soak in all this National Park has to offer.

Absolutely magic part of the world. Both Oberon Bay and the East Coast camp-sites have their advantages. Roaring Meg is a great camp-site despite not being located on the coast. It has a creek running through it which is great to dip your toes in after a long walk. The Lightstation is a bit of a hike but well worth the walk. You can stay there overnight for a premium in a shared dorm like accommodation but you'd benefit from staying two nights to make the most of it. All water throughout the park needs to be treated and source vary in capacity. You'll also need to carry in your own toilet paper. The park is beautiful and is litter free... please do your bit to keep it that way.

This is a magnificent part of Australia. It has truly beautiful beaches with rock formations surrounding them. Very popular place for family trips and bbqs. A lot of walking trails are throughout the park, and the road there and in the park are very good.

Personally, one of my favourite place to visit in Melbourne. You can did a short hike on Mt. Oberon and once you arrive at the top you will be welcomed with beautiful scenery. Squeaky beach is also another must place to visit in this national park. View was breathtaking

Wilson Promontory National Park Island🏝️ locates at Bass Strait, Between Tasmania and Melbourne. I was sailing through the Bass Strait from Port Kembla to Port Whyalla, Australia 🇦🇺. I saw this beautiful island. It’s nice, specially while the sky is blue and sun ☀️. Perfect 😍

Many wonderful pristine secluded beaches and great hiking options abound. If you aren't up for the long hike, Tidal Wave Campground has plenty of accessible beaches within walking distance.

Back to nature and beauty everywhere you look… as far as the eye can see! Real camping where people are up at 6:30 and heading out for a day of adventure amongst the 55,000 acre protected national parklands… with lights out and only the sounds of the most contented snore at 9pm

It is a great place for a bushwalk or camping holiday. However we have found extreme weather events are more common and we have had to cut holidays short the last 3 years. The weather can be amazingly wild. While the camping is booked out every summer there are illegal campers trying to get in but fines are heavy.

Simply beautiful! A little piece of paradise without leaving our shores! Get there early if you want a good car park as close as possible; it's a great day trip for the family. Take sunscreen and aeroguard for the flies! Approx 200 meters walk from the closest car park. Toilet and shower facilities available

Wilson’s Promontory is the most beautiful place to visit in Victoria. Rain, hail or shine. There are walks for everyone. My suggestion is to hike to little Waterloo via sealers and refuge cove. If you have the extra funds definitely make the stop to stay at the lighthouse station. It really engages your parasympathetic nervous system

The best national park I’ve ever been to! Easy, medium & hard trails, there’s something for everyone. The accomodation is great too! Plenty of camping space, the self contained units are beautiful if you want a small accomodation and the log cabins are perfect for groups with kids. I’ve been 6 times in 3 years because it’s one of my favourite places! Could not recommend more

Its basically a collection of many good places. You can visit a good number of beaches, camping areas and even a small desert like place called the big drift. It's around 3-3.5 hours drive from Melbourne and you can enjoy some overnight camping.

This place never disappoints; it has a clean environment, occasionally hikes aren't accessible due to the land slips, but this is common and quickly rectified. It smells great; like tea tree and river water. People are friendly, no aggression is heard here, like so many public places in cities. The temperature will be up to 5 degrees lower than in town, because of the wind factor. Bring BBQ food, it's more enjoyable than a packed lunch.

A 3+ hour drive from Melbourne, and well worth the effort. As you near 'The Prom' the views take you back in time, giving a prehistoric feel with untamed wilderness and landscapes. The beaches are great for exploring, as are the many walking tracks. Can get quite windy at times, although we were lucky today!

It is one of Victoria's most beautiful places. Lots to see and do. There are walks to many wonderful places. A must see if you're visiting Victoria. Book a cabin or camp early.!

Free to enter the park, and for those that are day tripping there is no restrictions on using the showers at Tidal River Campground. Take your swimmies - the sea can be mighty cold, but the river is often nice and warm and a great place for the kids to play. But really you can't do this place any justice in a single day and it probably needs a good three days to take in the area. Lots of walks that are very well marked out with well defined paths. From the easy amble (Lilly Pilly Gully) to the multi-night hikes around the remote beaches.

Nice place.to go in camping, so much exiting routes to go trail on.really nice colored water in the sea, nice to look at. Most of the long weekends it gets fully crowded though. We had to stay 50km away for the night because of last minute planing. But worth the journey. Toilet facilities are there at most carparks. Food and basic groceries can be get at the grocery shop next to the info center.

This is one of the best water colours I have seen in my life. Go on a sunny day. 3 mins walk to the beach. Parking is time-consuming at peak time on Saturday or on holidays. But you will get it eventually.

Summer is the best time to visit. fine and white sand create good welcome. Climbing slick rocks is not recommended. 7 minutes away from Norman beach. Few parking spaces are available however you can park on the street during high season. From the parking lot, it's just a short walk to the beach.

Best beach sands (for it’s microscopic granulation fine mineral particles making it also the third whitest beach sand in all of Australia) and the whitest maybe fluffiest in Victoria and it’s SQUEAKS!

Just brilliant, The sand does squeaky under foot, beautiful white sand clear blue water, Spent the day. I must say this would have to be my favourite of beaches I have been too. Public toilet in carpark, But if busy you might find a long walk from the car. Bring a sun shade and lots of water and do t forget your sunscreen. You won't be disappointed

About a 300 metre walk from the parking lot. The sand does squeak!. Beautiful spot not for swimming There were a few surfers around. Highly recommended!

I spent hours swimming, sunbathing, and building sandcastles, and I felt completely at peace. This is natural beauty, Squeaky Beach is also a great place to go for a hike. There are several trails that lead to different viewpoints around the beach, where you can take in stunning views of the coastline and surrounding mountains. I highly recommend hiking to the top of Norman Point for panoramic views of Squeaky Beach and the surrounding area.

Absolutely gorgeous beach! The sand does make a squeaky sound when you walk on it, don't really love the sensation under my feet but that probably just me. The sand is super fine and the water is clear and calm.

Worth sacrificing your sleep to wake up early for the dawn, incredibly peaceful with the lapping of waves, seeing the seabirds enjoying their breakfast and great walk along the beach during a low tide.

This beach is close to Tidal River within short walking distance from the camping site. At night you’re able to see sky full of stars, also a great spot for sunset watching. There are boat trips departing from Norman Beach regularly. The sand on this beach is not as fine as Squeaky Beach but still really good!

Stunning views and a pleasant walk from the visitors centre. The beach itself is quite exposed and can result in a huge sand blast if it's a particularly windy day. The sand is almost untouched and the bay is surrounded by wonderfully green cliffs. Plenty of bird wildlife in the area.

Beautiful beach with access to Tidal River. It is excellent for surfers and if you want to swim and are not afraid of cold water.

Such an easy beach to swim in/at. The water remains very shallow at times. The water is so clear and the sand is white. Hooded Plovers nest there over summer, the area is fenced off, they are hard to see.

One of the most beautiful beaches in Victoria!!! I won’t forget how stunning the sunset here! I had a great time here, just sitting and watching the waves and the sun made me relax and calm. I will definitely go here again in the future for sure!!

As with all beaches at Wilsons Prom, Whisky Bay has its own beauty. A good sized car park with a toilet and picnic areas give you access to the beach. A short 425m walk along and a narrow trail and boardwalks gets you to the beach and there are a few other walks to the viewing area and access to Picnic Bay. Nice waves and also calm areas make it great for a surf or swim. There is plenty of sand for play as well and large boulders at each end of the beach to explore. Was quite peaceful when I visited on a long weekend, as most people would be around the Tidal River area making it ideal to get some peace.

Whisky bay is such a calm and beautiful bay. The sunset here was one of the best I’ve ever seen. Such a beautiful location and a 400m walk from the car park. This is a highly recommended place to visit. If you’re lucky enough you too could experience the sunset at Whisky Bay.

A gorgeous beach tucked away down a short, forested walk from the car park. Large rocks and rock pools to explore on both sides of the beach. So many lizards on the walk down!

Beautiful lookout, and just a spot to take in and forget about everything. There is picnic bay about a 1.5km walk from whiskey bay, which makes for a great picnic spot on a nice day. Can get busy around public holidays and festive season

From the car park, you can easily walk to Whisky Bay. Whether you want to view Sunsets or just enjoy a quiet and calm moment, this is the perfect place for you. Whisky Bay is a great place for taking photos.

Wilson Promontory has many beautiful beaches to explore. And one of thr. Is Whisky bay. White sands. Clean Close 450 metro nature walk from the carpark. Easy to swim in. Rocks to climb. Not busy at all when we went for su set in October

Great physical and, more importantly, mental test for a day walk of 20 km up and down mostly through tropical rainforests. The last 2km boardwalk through a swamp before reaching the beach is a plus! The beach was not at its best as we came at the high tide, and so with many smelly seaweed bunches 😅 The greatest reward was a dip into the cool water and saw a small stingray getting along! By the way, it was a bit hassle on the way back worrying about missing the shuttle bus 🚎, while walking was a real mental challenge 😂

The walk to Sealers Cove is one of my favorites at Wilson's Promontory. It meanders across the prom through tree fern glades, temperate rainforest, a board walk that comes out on the other side. Approximately 18km return.

Heaven on Earth. I've travelled the world and there is no place I know as beautiful. The boardwalk in is magical leading to a beach only accessible by foot or boat. In the middle of peak season I arrived and it was me and three people swimming. It's a good day walk from Tidal River. We left at 8am and we're back by 2pm with stops along the way and an hour for lunch.

Absolutely beautiful secluded cove. 5m walk from Saddle carpark but very much worth it.

We walked to Sealers Cove and back in one day. It took us about 3 hours each way. There is a camp site there. You have to pre book.
