The buildings, hallways, stairs all remind of you of the British architecture that can be seen in English Universities. Located inside the city and connected by wide and smooth roads. Proper parking facility is available. Lush greenery all around, which is maintained very well. Perfect picnic spot for families, one can spend hours and hours and still not get bored. Affordable and tasty food is available in the canteen, do try their idly & sambhar. As it is a huge campus, be ready to walk for a considerable distance if you want to explore it inside out. Best timing to visit : 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM FUN FACT: many bollywood films have been shot here. One of them is Student of the year.

Based on the experience of my two years which I spent living in the campus being a student there. Forest Research Institute (FRI) is one of the most loved tourist attractions in Dehradun. It has a unique place in the architectural history of India due to its Greco-Roman architecture which is utterly mesmerizing. This institute not only provides very specialized research in forestry and allied disciplines but also helps in imparting forestry related education to the students and scholars. It accommodates a reserved forest🌳🌿 within its premise due to which it is also called the lungs of Dehradun city. The walk around the campus with the sound of the birds chirping🐦🕊🐤 is so therapeutic that it can bring a smile to anyone's face😊. You will hardly find any piece of litter or garbage there and that's why it looks so clean and organic, the perfect example of co-habitation with nature. Having a reserved forest, a certain phenomenon called micro-climate is formed due to which the temperature🌡 in the campus is normally 3-4 degree Celsius lower than that of the city and the campus also gets more rain🌧 round the year. In my opinion, it is one of most livable places in our country. Request: Please do not throw litter(plastic bottles) here and there and contribute your bit in making this place a plastic free zone. Forest research institute ( FRI) is a beautiful, clean and well maintained place with amazing architecture. Very easy to reach here and has a very nominal ticket of like 10 Rupees and needs to pay additional 50 Rupees if you wish to see the museums. Ample parking space for vehicles. Canteen is also there inside the campus. Nice place to spend peaceful time.

A nice place to spend some time with friends and family. A nice spot for couples also. Entry ticket is 20rs and if you want to enter with a vehicle you will be charged 30rs extra. The main building of FRI is not that much of an attraction, instead the whole campus and the beauty of it will keep you astonished. Greenery at it's best. The only complain I have is that, there are no benches to be found anywhere in the whole FRI campus. People need some place to sit since everyone doesn't have vehicles and walking all the way is kind of hectic specially when the weather is hot. Beautiful gardening area.

It's a must visit place in Dehradun. It is a premier Forest research Institute in India, having great architectural significance. Area is huge, very well maintained and managed. It's a very old construction, but interior design is amazing. Parking place, wash room, drinking water, seating arrangements, notice board, display are there. Entry fee for campus is Rs. 15/-. Private vehicle entry fee is 40/-. Camera charges are also there. Entry fee for museum is Rs. 60/- per person. Five museums are there such as Forest Pathology, Silvicultire, Timber, NTFP, Forest Entomology. All the museums are very well maintained, full of informations. Those who are interested about the mother nature, environment, must visit this place.

Good place to visit.. one need atleast 2-3 hours to visit the whole campus.. there is 15rs. Gate Entry paas and 30rs entry pass for 4 museums... Museums are dedicated only for plants and forests... Campus is really very beautiful.. perfect picnic spot....

Forest Research Institute (FRI) is spread over a huge area with very good landscaping. The building is a masterpiece of exposed bricks architecture. It's a grand building with superb design. There are five wings of forest museum displaying various forest products. One of the wings is closed for renovation at present.

A must visit beautiful place if you are in dehradun. A couple of bollywood movies were also shot here like student of the year. The place is huge and will take time to explore it. It's easily accessible through local travel options. You have to buy the ticket to visit this place.

Choosing Starz Clark’s in for our stay at Mussoorie was worth it. The location of the hotel is amazing, with such a great view. It’s at a prime location walkable distance to Mall Road. The rooms, ambiance and hospitality is great. The food is really amazing. They made our stay a great one. The staff specifically are really good, thank you team family loved the hospitality. 100% recommend.

A very calm and peaceful place in Mussoorie on the Happy Valley. It's an altogether different experience to be here. The temple and its surrounding area is very neat and clean.

A beautiful, serene and mesmerizing place of worship. It is on road to Company Garden and easily accessible via road. It is spread across a large area overlooking the mountains. There is plenty of space and sitting area in front of the beautiful temple to enjoy the view of the nearby mountains. Gives you a small glimpse of the rich Buddhist culture. (It is respectable to not use cameras inside the temple.) You can travel up to Dalai hills from here to find a large Buddha statue with mesmerizing views of the gigantic Himalayan range and LBSNAA academy below. Highly recommended!

A stunning Tibetan Buddhist temple called Shedup Choepelling Temple can be found in Happy Valley, around one kilometer from the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration and 2.5 kilometers from the Company Garden. The temple's exterior is decorated with prayer wheels, murals, and pillars in vivid colors. Situated in one of the most picturesque and calm surroundings of Mussoorie, the shrine of Buddha presents a great place to meditate. Wonderful place to catch the sunset.

Best budget friendly hotel in mussoorie, have stayed here more than 10 times now , located 100 meters before mall road if u travel from picture palace side , amazing view and ample parking place are the best things I like about this hotel , decent food and rooms .. courteous staff and manager .. Highly recommended..

The temple was not open for tourist because of COVID. They recently opened it for tourists. There is no entry ticket or pressure to donate any money. The compound is very big, neat and often inhabited by fluffy friends. The temple also gives panoramic view of the valley

Because it's a Buddhist temple and it's simplicity, cleanliness, maintenance, peacefulness ,calmness ,blissfulness, tranquility it bestows on people visiting here can never be explained in words ... It's a bliss ...the hyms ( mantras ) written here will actually cleanse the chakras of people visiting here ... Om ma ni pad me hum These six syllables purifies the six realms of existence in suffering ...

The Tibetan Buddisht Temple is in mussorrie is really a very osm place you must have to go there.

Very imminent institution for training of young minds for serving the nation. Located in heart of hills and when one just visit this place, it gives feeling of patronism automatically. It is surrounded by green lushes and has been maintained pretty well by the government.

Came for my friend’s POP , was a very grand program. The Indian Army itself is royal and grand, IMA is historic and was built upon by the British, it is very beautiful and well maintained.

From outside visuals make me fortunate to visualise such a marvel. Strict security won't allow any tourist due to rules there. But it's a very wonderful experience to be there on gates instead.

Indian Military Academy or IMA is the pride of India, as it is responsible for shaping young boys into Army officers. Established in 1932, IMA is a famous officer training academy of the Indian Army based in dehradun. The institution was recommended by the Indian Military College Committee and was set up under the chairmanship of Field Marshal Philip Chetwode in 1931. From a class of 40 gentlemen cadets in 1932, IMA now trains over 400 gentlemen cadets in a batch, having a total strength of 1,650 cadets

My Father passed out from here in 1971 and we had gone here to see his dossier, which was an amazing experience.

It's a wonderful place for training of officers. Entry is quite restricted. The Chatwood building campus where passing out parade take place gives a beautiful vibes.

My husband and I love this place. Great ambiance, tasty food, and good service and that's why it's our go to place.What else would one want from a restaurant.

Food here is ok. some dishes were good and some were ok ok. But the major issue was service. It was too slow. you will have to wait 15 mins for a service guy to take your order and they took about 50 mins to serve main course. and also the food quantity at this price does not do justice .should definitely do someting about the quantity. ambience here is nice with good live music. Overall experience was about average.

Recently visited tavern. Totally impressed with the humble nature of the staff. The atmosphere is very soothing n relaxing. The live music in evenings makes it a perfect place for family get togethers.. loved the biryani. It was served with salan, raita, onions, pickle, green chilli… incredible flavours n quantity was really good. Loved the soup, arabiata pasta was wonderful, noodles n dimsums were good too… crunchy mushrooms were really crunchy n tasty. Loved the red chilli sauce served with dimsums. Must visit place!

One of the best fine dining restaurant in the rown for vegetarians as well as non vegetarians. Even a solo person will enjoy here. Rates are quite decent. Food is delicious. Bar options are also great. It's one of my favourite dining restaurant.

Fish was insipid inside . The grilled veggies looked like they had polio - thin, limp and burnt I've grown up eating Pahadi food and this is typically super tasty - here, the red rice was under cooked and the dals didnt taste good at all. Recommendation - try the restaurant Hinge , just opposite. Very nice chicken stroganhoff or try Radisson which is on the other side of town but nice grilled fish - for approximately the same price If you just have to eat here , id suggest try the pizzas - they have a wood fired oven and they looked good (I didn't try)
