Nice experience. You have to take a small boat to get there, then walk to the entrance of the cave after checking in, then you ride another boat for the tour. It was really interesting and nice to experience. There is an audio guide and the one paddling the boat will also point out some thing during the tour. Be careful with the monkeys. They will really snatch your food and drinks if they see it.

Great adventure! I went there with my boyfriend and we will always remember this experience. You get there by boat in groups and then you walk along the beach and get to the entrance and then onto another little lower boat. You are able to go thought the cave and hear all the bats and see the old rocks. You are surrounded by nature, beach and caves, it's just amazing. After we enjoyed a nice buffet organised by our tour company. Remember to get a waterproof bag to keep your things safe from water.

If you are visiting the Philippines then you should add this destination to your travel plan, turquoise blue water, close to nature and formations to watch out for during your boat ride going to the underground river. Be aware of the bats hanging on the cave walls.

Must see! This is an experience you shouldn't miss if you're visiting Puerto Prinsesa, Palawan. Our group searched for a tour package on Facebook, and we paid P1850/head (excluding environmental fees). This includes the van transfer back and forth from your hotel/lodge to the Sabang Pier. The boat ride from the pier to the beach going to the cave is approx 15 minutes. There are many beautiful rock formations inside the cave. The bats are everywhere, and the possibility of getting a bat pee or a stalactite juice dripping is high. It is worth of your money! I'm thrilled that I got a chance to see one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature upclose and personal. 👌 Before I forget, there's a buffet lunch 🫰

Holy cow. Astonishingly beautiful this place. It's everything and some more. The clear blue waters, the cave structures, and the overall experience is just surreal. Just be careful about the monkeys though, they snatch cellophanes and any other things they might perceive as food.

Natural rock formation over the years. Cave occupants: bats - small as 1m. Underground River -8km and some parts are not discovered yet. Audio device is provided throughout the underground River tour Monkey’s wildlife at the park before you reach the cave. (Keep your food secure as to not pique with ‘em curiosity…) Recommend to book a tour for convenience, the zip line add on for the tour is good for adrenaline junkies, for those who have fear of heights no worries… you may enjoy the beautiful white sand,clear water beach for a while… there’s toilet on the far side (if you want to go swimming for a bit while waiting - it’ll take like an hour as I remembered ) and stalls at the entrance (refreshments and snacks). Note: the road is a bit rocky on some parts.

I'm writing a review for the park and the tour operated by RYLE ASHER. Please be advised that when you read reviews, you are mainly reading about the tour operator. Complaints about waiting around, bad food, etc is the result of the tour operator. Pick a great tour operator and your experience will be amazing! Again, I went with RYLE ASHER tours. It was wonderful. From the pier you take a small catamaran to the entrance to the park. The catamaran is loud, so if you are sensitive to sounds, bring ear plugs. The views were stunning on the small boat. Once at the shore, you will receive your hard hat and make very simple 5-minute hike to queue up to go into the caves. There are restrooms at the pier and the shore. Once you make it to queue for the cave, there are no more bathrooms. You will get into another small boat, approximately 6-8 people in each boat. You will receive an audio guide with one headphone. The audio guide will give you lots of information about the cave, its history, and what you are seeing inside. The boat operator is also trained to share certain comments and jokes. Most of the time, the boat operator's comments sync up with the audio guide. The rules for the tour are simple. Keep quiet (too much sound affects the bats' ability to move around - echolocation), keep your mouth closed (bat droppings), avoid looking straight up for very long (bat droppings). Being in the cave, floating along, hearing and seeing the bats, seeing the formations - it was really amazing. At times, it was a little scary. I can't lie, but just keep breathing and remembering that they bring hundreds of people through this very same tour every day. You will travel into the cave about 20 minutes and then turn around to travel back to the entrance. What you see on the return is very different than what you see going in. Once back to dry ground, you can visit the restrooms again, take a look at the photos they snapped of your group and decide if you want to buy them. Then, it's back to the catamaran and back to the pier. I wore flip-flops that were a bit too big for me. They kept falling off. I recommend water shoes or a bit more tighter fitting sandal. Do not wear socks and shoes though as you need to wade in water to get in and out of the boats. Again, pick a good tour company and your experience will be great!

Very cool experience to see inside this surreal cave system. A bit smelly, and thought I was being pooped on by birds/bats a few times but alas it was just water dripping from above. The guide and the audio recording were a bit "meh" with regards to the history or much interesting information, most of it was about what they've named the formations. All in all it was a pretty good tour, but don't expect it to be filled with interesting info about what you're seeing.

This experience is truly wonderful. The tourist are not allowed to speak or make any noises in the cave to preserve the ecosystem which is fully understandable and has to be respected. Yet it was annoying that the boatman was talking and whistling the whole time we were inside even though we had the headphones in, so his talking was not useful and he didn’t respect the rules at all. Also on the way there you can see a lot of monkeys which is awesome just be careful with your belongings, they are very smart😄

I'm glad I went, but wouldn't recommend if you have a tight schedule for other tourist activities. The whole place was VERY touristy. We prearranged a van to pick us up from our hotel. The drive was estimated 2 hrs. But they stopped at a zip line park without any warning or explanation. We did not participate as we only had planned for the underground river. We didnt want to hike in flip flops. Other travelers who went on the zip line and cave hike said that it would be difficult for anyone tall or big. We ate at the outdoor filipino buffet restaurant (cost included in underground river tickets) before our tour. It was good considering the mass amount of people they were feeding. There were lots of people waiting at the Port. Then lots of people at the beach. Then lots at the lagoon. Each boat that took you to the island sat 6 people. The boat ride was enjoyable, but you definitely can get wet from the waves. You take another boat to get to the cave, where they give you hard hats to wear. There are bathrooms on the island, but they are not western style. Beware of monkeys, snakes, and bats.

A must visit if you're on Palawan. It's a UNESCO world heritage site and part of the new 7 wonders of nature. It's about a 15-20 small boat ride to get to the landing area. They'll warn you about the monkeys who can be aggressive or take small electronics. As long as you don't look them in the eye and keep walking, they'll leave you alone. They'll give you a number and call it when it's your turn. Underground River tour is about 45 minutes round trip. They give you a great narrative and turn the flashlights on and off to point out different highlights. It's impressive how dark it is when they turn off the flashlights. There's a lot of bats inside, don't look up with your mouth open. Highly recommend this tour.

The place is very magical and enchanting. I just hope that the local and national government will continue protecting this wonderful national park. The ambiance of this place is very mesmerizing and jaw-dropping. Be careful with your belongings as macaques are present within the area. Maintain silence because you might disrupt the animals existing in the cave system. Audio recorded tour is available for all visitors, including Koreans, Chinese, Japanese nationals. Better come earlier so as not to join the hordes of tourists who constantly flock the site. Expect a tinge of smell as you pass the cave system as there are a lot of bats inside. Help the locals by giving extra tip for their good tour guiding. There's a photographer who takes a lot of photos. At the end of the tour, you can claim the pictures for a price. Don't worry, they take a lot of great photos that you can choose from. But if you prefer, you can bring your phone but avoid putting it in flash mode as you might disturb the animals inside the cave system. You will be seeing a lot of stalagmites and stalactites that resemble fruits, vegetables, church figures, etc. Enjoy Palawan!

Worth the trip. I didn't know anything about this natural wonder, and I was looking for a local tour when I saw this UNESCO site. It is fantastic!! Over 2km of rafting through these really cool caves.

Located on the western coast of Palawan, it's home to the world's longest navigable underground river, which is an incredible sight to behold. One of the most unique experiences I've tried so far. Imagine spelunking but you are on a boat. I was amazed by nature's beauty and how it coalesced into this spectacular wonder. It was scary especially at the start because you are entering a completely dark place with the light just coming from the bankers' head lamps. You will also smell the urine/guano-filled air because of the thousands of bats who live in the cave. But you'll be amazed by how big the cave is and nature's sculptures inside (the stalactites). The tour was also well-organized. 5/5

Voted one of the 7 wonders of the world! A Subterranean River surrounded by limestone formations! It's like spelunking but now you are comfortably seated in a canoe rowed by a professional boatman. There is an audio guide while you tour the river, and the pace coordinates with the rowing. The boatman will also shine his torch on notable features. Enjoy the chapel and the market, and remember not to speak to avoid noise disturbances in this fragile environment and not touch the formations! Don't open your mouth either when you look up, unless you would like to taste some bat poop. Gotta take a larger boat from Sabang Terminal to transfer to the canoe here. Very peaceful place. Love it.

I would not recommend you to bypass this wonder of nature! Which, by the way, is one of the Seven Natural Wonders! Everything is well organized : pickup van, banka boat to the river, then paddling boat with audio guide (english, french, spanish and probably more) The cave is amazing to visit !

This place is amazing, best cave formations you will see in South East Asia! Magical subterranean river, peaceful boat ride, fantastic and scary rock formations, almost a religious experience entering the cave and floating deeper and deeper into the mountain void in darkness.... We were 4 friends, organized the trip by ourselves, we arrived by a car. The waiting time by the office ticket was insane, guides with big groups arriving all the time and coming to the front of the queue... What a waste of our time! After you stand in one queue to get your names registered, you then get to second queue to pay for the tickets, and then third queue to get onto the boat, what a mess. We waited for hours and hours. The boat ride was a bit rough and loud, there were big waves but it was safe. Arriving at the destination, it became more organized, our names called to enter a smaller, silent boat with a guide and audio recording. All worked smoothly for when you enter the boat, so good luck and good patience for everyone who decides to organize the seeing themselves. All in all, it is indeed worth all the hazle to spend one hour on a different under mountain world, maybe go with a group tour instead.

Find a private tour and come here before the crowds. It is so peaceful and beautiful without anyone else here. My wife and I came at 7:30am and left around 8:15, right when the first boat was pulling up for the day. You won't regret it.

Kayaking is my best experience here. Would like to advise to bring snorkeling equipment to enjoy the lagoon better.

Too crowdy in April.. we took 2 seater kayak in 400 pesos per person and 4 seater kayak in 300 pesos per person. But it was too crowdy that it was like we were playing bumper kayaking !😊 Otherwise it has good view .. you can enjoy more if people are less at your time.. 👍

One of my best lifetime experiences. One of the purest and clearest sea water from entire world. The lake has sweet water, unusually clear and warm, despite of its neighbourhood. The perspective from above is breathtaking. Worth all the effort to be there, a unique natural heritage spot.

We are so lucky travelling to Coron, Palwan and visiting Kayangan Lake this pandemic year 2022.. it is indeed an amazing journey tavelling from riding boat and trekking almost 400 steps upstream and downstream. This is out second visir to kayangan luckily tha LGU’s of Coron kept this Place so clean and beautiful.

Definitely nice view from the waypoint half the way. The lake itself is okay. Just a lake in the hills :D Most of the beaches are more interesting and have nicer colors. Only did snorkeling and it was little clouded day.

I recently had the privilege of visiting Kayangan Lake, and it's undeniably one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. The pristine waters are so clear; it feels like you're swimming in a natural aquarium. Now, a word of advice - the journey to get there involves a bit of a workout with some steep stairs. It might not be suitable for those with disabilities or the elderly. However, I can assure you, the breathtaking view and serene waters make every step worth it!

We visited Kanyagan Lake with a boattour. You start at the other side of the mountain with a dock, there are lots of other tourist boats here and a few shops where you can buy snacks and even freshly cut coconuts. There’s also a toilet available. After climbing the steps up the mountain you go down towards the lake, this only takes about 7 minutes. Here, you can jump from the dock into the cleanest lake in The Philippines. The native people that inhabit Coron Island even believe it is sacred. When swimming it is mandatory to wear a life vest, if you bring your snorkelling gear you can see the impressive rock formations in the water. The tour usually stays in the more shallow area of 8-10 metres. Certainly a must-visit when in Coron!

Don't forget to capture it on video; replaying it later will still evoke a sense of awe. The warm lake water is not too salty, providing a serene spot to lie back, relax, and rejuvenate before you embark on your next adventure.

Nice view! Not recommended for the elderly tho since you need to climb up and down the stairs to see this. There's a long line just to capture this view on top however you can just opt to swim immediately.

One of my favourite places in Coron. The view from the top is breathtaking. You can literally relax just by enjoying the view; however, you might have to wait in a queue to take a picture of this famous spot. And time is limited! Not the most comfortable scenario, but it is worth waiting. The lake is large and seeing the mountains in the background is super enjoyable. There are also a couple of stalls with fruits and souvenirs you can buy before leaving. Be aware if you travel with elderly people or children, there's a couple of stairs you need to go through in order to reach the lake.

It’s the first stop of our ultimate tour. We’re so lucky that at least one stop with a sunny sky. Many people were waiting for taking photos at the peak view so we went to the lake first. The color of the lake is stunning beautiful, even there’s no fish under the lake. It started raining while we waited for taking pictures at the peak during 20-30 minutes.

Before you get soaked, you’ll have to use those legs for a little climb. On top, a breathtaking view of the lake will surprise you. There’s usually a queue for tourists who want to take their photo with the lake as the background. For this reason, I highly advise going here early. This is part of the Super Ultimate Coron tour.

This is a really beautiful beach. It is a great spot to relax, but also good to explore. There are a few different restaurants along the beach and if you walk down the beach, the rocks at the end are beautiful. The sand is nice and soft and there are a lot of palm trees. This is also a great place during the golden hour and sunset.

The perfect beach, easily one of the nicest on the planet. It's probably where the aliens sent Jodie Foster in the movie Contact. Make sure you walk all the way to the northern end to find a small bar setup by a young boy named Dave. It will end up being the best spot to spend your birthday.

A very beautiful long beach with white sand. There are not too many people and even if there are, the beach is so incredibly long that you can easily find a spot where nobody else is. You can drive there by yourself on a scooter, the way is only a bit bumpy for a few meters and might me a bit muddy but no need to take a taxi to get here.

Very nice beach and super clear water, waves are a little bit stronger, on the main entrance there are lifeguards watching your safety. I especially liked it on the left side after the sunbed area, very shadowy till mid afternoon. I definitely would recommend if you're in the area.

Very beautiful beach! This beach was very clean with very little debris on the sand! Lots of options to eat right on the beach. If you're comfortable on a motorbike it's quite easy to get here. It's a decent trek from El Nido, I would not recommend a tricycle ride as it would be very miserable being in one for that long.

Shame the beach is very nice but so many rubbish. I don't know if I went there bad timing but the residents and resorts here seems doesn't mind all the trash. So sad scenario when walking the beach line.

Beautiful stretch of beach with fine sand and fun waves to play in. Most of the seating areas have some kind of fee. We ordered food from one of the restaurants and they waived the fee for us in their section. The water was warm, the sand wasn’t rocky to step on, and the views were beautiful. Will definitely be back to visit.

Splendid beach. I went there on a Sunday, and I was one of the few people in the area. Nacpan beach is a mix of simplicity and majesty combined. Simply wonderful! <3

Highly recommend! There are umbrellas and beach chairs for rent and lots of food and drink choices. The dirt road is a little bumpy but very manageable on a scooter.

Amazing beach which felt like a paradise :) the water is very nice, with little waves for a fun swim. We‘ve been warned that there are sand flies on the beach, but we did not have any but probs because it was raining - so bring a spray just in case.

The most beautiful beach in Palawan in my opinion. We travelled to the Philippines around mid October, there weren’t many tourists and luckily the weather was perfect, we also had the chance to sail on a Paraw, the typical boat used on the island. This beach along with these beautiful sunsets is able to make you forget about everything else

The best beach we visited. Clean white sand, beautiful water and waves. Cute little restaurants and places to grab a refreshment. You need to travel down a dirt road to get there but you’ll drive through a lovely village and it’s worth it!

A nice wide beach , good for swimming , clear waters with white/ gold fine sand .A small wave beach very pleasant. A long beach if you like a good walk or a run . Many dogs on the beach .a bit rubbish . A handful of accommodations and a few food and drink venues . We rate this as one of our best beaches .Has biting insects so pack your insect repellent. The road from El Nido is 98 % concrete , just couple of patches dirt road as you get off the 490 close to Nacpan .the final patch of dirt road along the beach was a complete mess so many were using the beach for a road.

Its a beautiful beach. White sand and clear waters. Not crowded. A must visit. 40 mins drive from El nido proper. I suggest to rent a car or motor, but you can rent a tricycle worth 1,500 pesos.

Parking for scooters costs 20. Most beautiful beach I've ever been to. Walk a few steps north from the initial stores and restaurants. It will be worth it. There you have whole kilometers of beach just for yourself! The nature with the palm trees is incredibly green and has a rich color. On the other side is the turquoise water. Unfortunately, there is not much to discover while snorkeling. However the sunset is a must see!

We have done port Barton, el nido and coron and so far it is by far the best beach we have been to. Very very long beach to you can always find a quiet spot with no one around. In the morning you will have plenty of shades with the palm tree but you will still have some in PM closer to the base of palm tree. A lot of people remains close to the restaurants, so you can just walk by the right to look for your perfect spot. The only thing is that waves are pretty intense at times. The last 5 minutes road is not paved but very easy to navigate, you just need to go slow. No entrance fee, only a small parking

If you know how to ride a scooter definitely worth to go here. (500 peso for renting scooter and maybe 70-80 peso for refilling the gasoline). There are bar and some family owned restaurants can chill by the beach ! It was like a paradises. No edited photo btw…

Wow !!! What an amazing beach. If you can stay close by instead of El Nido don't think twice about it. Just do it. The beach is simply HUGE and you don't even think it could ever be overcrowded. I think my pictures speak for themselves. 2 Sun chairs and a shade for 500 pesos per day. There is a guy with blue aluminum sun chairs just a few meters left from the main entrance, which I highly recommend. Coconut and food are also quite ok to complete the nearly perfect beach day.

Save your money and go somewhere else. Very disappointing experience. Islands are very average. You're confined in a small area to swim with lots of other people. Aweful snorkeling. One Star is even too much. I would give half.

Simple yet very relaxing islands. Each island has its own beauty and uniqueness to offer. Swimming, snorkelling, or simply sitting down are all worth the time. I would advice to go here early in the morning to get a tour during peak seasons. A lot of tourists are in this place.

Nice overall experience. Our tour guide Raquel was very knowledgeable, warm and attentive to all our needs. As well as our van driver and Kuya bangkeros especially Patrick who helped us everytime with our bags. Lunch at Starfish Island was yummy with mostly grilled options, fish, shrimps and liempo. There's a small market for some seafood which they can actually cook for you. We had fruits for dessert with their local yellow sweet watermelon and pineapple. Bring a lot of sunblock, wide brimmed hats and your own cold water if possible as the heat can really be a beast especially at noon time. Cellphone signal can be intermittent. Luli island was our first stop, it had a small sandbar strip as it was high tide then. There were also floating cottages where you can chill if you choose not to swim. Overall a great experience especially seeing the crystal blue waters plus the fine sand of Cowrie island, the most beautiful and biggest of the 3.

A good day out with the family, lots of fun activities for the kids and beaches for parents to relax on. Not the best islands in Palawan because of the higher volume on tourists but still beautiful, don't expect reefs or colourful corals.

If you like an easy simple tour, this bay tour is for you. Which you can also snorkel. Guide brought us first to a rental place for gears. You’ll have to see it for yourself tho, what view you can see beneath the water or, on or around the islands/sandbars the guide will bring you to. Personally I’d have preferred just one island, ie. Starfish or Cowrie. I’d have enjoyed more staying in one island for a few hours. We didn’t get to go to Starfish because somehow it was scratched from the itinerary. My sister’s friends knew about it but naturally we didn’t know which is which. Until we saw pictures online. Hence the two star review. And because we could’ve gotten a cheaper per pax at our own hotel. For serious snorkelling, some online reviewers prefer the northern part of Palawan. I hope they improve the wharf toilets. It was dirty and needed flushing, but no water even from the tap. Just a half pail of water to wash hands I suppose.

Must to do in private tour as it’s cost total 1.300pesos for rent the boat. We rented the tricycle from Puerto princesa to Honda bay 600 pesos. Loved Pambato reef is a floating cottage where you can see lots of different corals and fish and Starfish island. Nice the other 2 Luli island and the last island we visit is Cowrie Island but the lunch buffet was poor, just to fill the tummy! I highly recommend to have lunch at Starfish island (see picts). Rich fresh food and Unique taste.

Honda Bay island hopping is a lot of fun, snorkeling feeding fish was the highlight of the day! All of the islands are great!

Nothing special. So-so snorkeling, average food for the tour and one island without anything to do if you don't pay extra (well, yes you can walk around, swim and sunbath). I didn't end up the trip super exited about it and it seems that the inicial price changes so much because of all the extras. If you decide to do it don't buy the waterproof bag (you won't take it to the water), rent the googles if you don't have or if you are just passing by. Don't need to rent the shoes if you have good ones. It is important you remember your tower but if not the guide will lead you to a shop to rent one as well.

Lots of people, long wait times for kayaks, difficult to kayak into if you aren’t used to it, lots of rubbish☹️ However, once you’re inside, it’s beautiful, lots of coral, hidden coves away from the people❤️

Great lagoon experience at its finest. The experience was a mixed wow and woaah!

The kajak tour in the big lagoon was the most amazing thing I did during my trip to El Nido. I loved exploring the lagoon on my own and going through the narrow stretches between the rocks. I had not been in a kajak for longer and the sun burns you evilly on the water. Yet is was just awesome. Not to miss when you get the chance. The kajak is 300php and you need about an hour to go all around the lagoon and back.

Amazing experience pedalling the kayak in the big lagoon. Also great pictures with the drone. Just be careful with the wind / current in your way back to the boat.

Boy oh boy! Absolutely phenomenal, stunning, and overall breath taking. Kayaking in is worth the extra few bucks. My boyfriend and I both agree that it is definitely for the best that the tour boats are not allowed in. Once you enter the lagoon, you understand the importance of preserving that kind of beauty. The water is a dream-like blue. Also, if you are wondering, the kayaking trek is not too difficult. It was both our first times kayaking, and we can attest to the fact that it is very easy to get the hang of and highly recommend taking that extra step.

Big lagoon is part of TOUR A package in Elnido that costs 1200 pesos. The activity here is kayaking. It's pretty awesome. You can rent a kayak here for 300 pesos only.

Big Lagoon in Palawan is indeed a stunning natural wonder known for its crystal-clear waters and breathtaking scenery.

Incredible large lagoon, full of tourists if you join any of the tours from El Nido in high season (November). We fortunately stayed at Miniloc resort and we’re the last group of tourists visiting, having the entire lagoon to ourselves from 4pm onwards. It was magical!!

Breathtaking scenery! It’s really like no other, and the highlight of our El Nido trip. I appreciate that they don’t allow motorized boats inside the lagoon and only allow kayaks to preserve the quality of the environment.

It was amazing experience to feel the magnificent of nature in the middle of sea. Such a peaceful place.

The highlight of El Nido Tour A. One of the best sceneries I've seen in my life. It was also a good thing that we had our lunch first before we headed to Big Lagoon as kayaking can be very tiring but it's all worth it!

A must see in El Nido. Bookable on Tour A which should cost around 1200 pesos per person. Water is incredibly clear and warm, beautiful spot for kayaking, swimming and soaking up the serenity

Looks like paradise , the torquoise water, the scenery, everythings perfect. Kayaking feels like you are on the top of an aquarium. You can clearly see anything below. The cave passage is a plus.

Very beautiful place. You need to use kayak or swim before you reach below waist water level part where small children are allowed. Best if you bring waterproof phones/cameras to take pictures.
