A breath of fresh air in the middle of the city. Worth taking a long walk around, the huge trees and various plants can offer a hideaway from the summer heath. It is a good place for photo shooting sessions. The carnivorous plant exhibition was pretty interesting. On a Saturday afternoon too bad there were more people in the shopping mall than in the garden. Entry fee for a family with 2 children is only 32 Ron.

Wonderful park, very beautiful and fairy. Thousands of flowers and interesting trees. 2-3 hours you can spend here easily, if you you know, like and understand flora even more.

Very nice place. The garden is really clean and quiet. The diversity of plants is amazing. You can enjoy a relaxing day in the middle of nature. The entrance fee is 11 lei (around 2 €) and you can also buy some drinks there. Bring your favourite book and enjoy it in the middle of the forest listening to the birds.

It's a great spot to spend an hour or two walking in (manufactured) nature. I visited in January, and there were barely any flowers along the paths. Just empty planters. Maybe in another season it's more colorful. The Japanese garden is nice, and there's a hike trail with bridges and a small stream underneath. The place is perfect to get away from the city's noise. 15 Lei entrance for adults, but 9 Lei if you come after the greenhouses close (around 15:30?).

Cheap huge exterior botanical garden. I'm not a flower person and did find interesting things. The various basil hybrid section was surprising and fun for me. I also enjoyed the bonsai section, that was a discovery for me. Bring sunscreen

Well structured. Also, in the bonsai area inside, there is a very nice and cheerful young girl welcoming all guests 🥰

Beautiful Garden. There is a museum inside the garden with exhibition. Very peaceful place and not a lot people out there. There is Japanese garden, greenhouse. Restrooms are clean and there are few in the area. Some sculptures are missing. Tickets cost 15RON. The opening hours are from 9 am to 8 pm

Springtime makes the season plants to 🌸 🌼 blossom,the Japanese garden was open,not in the 🌵 area nor carnivorous plants,so pity!In my humble opinion the Garden still need lots of work on it.A good thing was that the toilets were open for free and clean. We had an ice cream, too,more costly than the entry ticket, though. Another plus i give for the coffee plant which I bought at the entrance and I just collected when we left the Garden.

We went there end of March, early April. I recommend to go later in April, when all flowers are blooming. We didn't witness that in this period.

Huge area, well taken care of, so beautiful even in late autumn, it must be breathtaking in summer. The greenhouses were very cool and the Japanese gardens very pretty, climbing the water tower was fun too! 15ron for an adult for the entire area.

A nice garden, and now, in spring, a big variety of tulips in many colours. It started to rain, and a place to sit under a roof would have been nice and a place to buy a cup of coffee and cake, even better lunch. It's a bit sad to see the turtles in a little, dirty kind of well. With nowhere to climb up like a rock/stone and so little room to swim. And people could touch them and bother them. Also, the fish in the place where the water lily's had dirty water.

In my experience, if you want to see a lot of color, the best time to visit is either in the fall, or around April (for the tulips) or June (for the roses), but it’s beautiful and peaceful anytime, with something interesting to see whenever you choose to go. For instance, even though I had just missed the tulips this year, so it happened that the rare Himalayan blue poppy was beginning to bloom. The Japanese and Roman Gardens are both beautiful. There is a pond with ducks and koi fish. In the fall the little hill (where the water tower is) was full of squirrels, the kids loved them. The top of the hill is especially beautiful when the leaves change color and cover the ground. It may be a bit more modest than some botanical gardens you may have seen (in the movies, if not elsewhere), but it does have its own charm. You can buy ice cream or something to drink from a small stand in a corner, and souvenirs from the ticket booth right next to the entrance, where in the spring they also sold tulip bulbs. There are benches to sit down, so you can have a snack, relax, or take a book and spend the day there. Or you can just walk around listening to birdsong (may take a couple of hours to see the entire garden), either way it’s a nice break from the city. The greenhouses close in the afternoon (around 5PM I think), so if you’ve already seen them before and you go later, then the tickets are a lot cheaper.

The garden was great, a lot of places to chill down. Pretty clean and not so busy on a Sunday. Don’t forget to go to the greenhouses too! Great experience. The waterfall area was very relaxing. Toilets were very clean.

I’ve seen this garden in winter, spring and summer. Is very nice for a walk in nature. You will see there all kinds of plants and the garden should be visited in all seasons to enjoy all diferent flowers. Last time I got up in the Water Tower but the trees in the garden are so high you don’t see much landscape. I reccomend to visit. In august the roses were in bloom and their perfume was all over garden.

Super beautiful garden. Even though there are not so many plants in autumn anymore it's definitely worth a visit because of the colors. It's just a pity that the greenhouses were already closed for visiting.

One of my favorite places to go to. Every time I go to Cluj, I try to visit this park. Especially during the week when there is a more relaxed atmosphere and not so many people. The plants are gorgeous and variated, seeing such beauty always brings joy to one's soul.

We came in December. There was snow when we came. So while there were not a lot of plants growing outside, it was still very beautiful to see a carpet of small white. The greenhouse was magical. It made the visit well worth it. There are so many different types of plants inside. I would recommend going even for this. The cost was 15 lei per adult.

We visited this park, but to be honest if you want to take the best of it you should come during spring time. Anyway it's great to go there for a walk, as it felt very peaceful, and I'm sure it should be amazing to visit during spring.

This garden must be much better in summer. We were here in the end of March, and there were barely any plants. It seems that most of the plants in this garden bloom in spring, and if you come here in winter there's not much to see. However, they still charge you 15lei per person and they don't warn you in the entrance. We were disappointed.

The Botanic Garden is one of the biggest collection of plants and trees that I have ever seen. It has both outdoor and indoor exhibitions and you can spend the whole day visiting it with your loved ones. The glasshouses are absolutely amazing and they exhibit, among others, palm trees. You can have a coffee, soda, water, ice cream or snacks at the small kiosk by the entrance. The tickets can be bought only at the entrance of the Botanic Garden. I have visited it a few times and can't wait to go there again.

It was a gem close to the centre of Cluj. There is a water tower turned into a viewing point, which is quite unique. The Japanese garden is well designed, but at present closed for maintenance. 15 lei entrance. The roses are savagely pruned, but that's obviously the way to do it.

Spent a lovely day on the lake at the beginning of September. The trees were changing leaves and it was really pretty to be there on the boat, next to the wild ducks - which are just ignoring everyone, as they should, cause they are fabulous.

Decent sized park, but not nearly as big as a city the size of Cluj should have. However, it's alright for a stroll or a bike ride. The pathways are wide enough for everyone. Plus, a ride in the pedal boats is always great.

Growing up in the city, this was the main place to relax in the weekends. And seeing how beautiful everything is nowadays, almost brings a tear in my eyes. The park is always clean, in the hot days of summer the temperature in the summer is very pleasant. A big bonus is the space dedicated to hammocks, where you could hang out with your friends and/or family and even to take a nap. Also the Chios lake is a very relaxing place for you to rent a boat and to feed the ducks (please feed them only with seeds like corn or wheat, and not bread). The park is very large and you can easily find a place to sit and relax.

Fresh and vibrant colors rise after the loong winter. It's nice to have a place to walk around and listen to the birds in the city center. There is a public WC right behind Chios restaurant but it could use a better signaling getting there throughout the park. The automatic WC next to the bac Sketball pitch is kinda tricky and risk getting stuck inside for a couple of hours. Better avoid.

Always a beautiful place to visit while in Cluj, can't think of a single time I thought there was even a speck of litter on the ground. It's amazing to look back over the 15 years I've been coming here with my family and seeing nothing but improvement.

Very pleasant park, with a lake that is home to swans and other birds that enjoy the ecosystem. You can do some exercises via the public kits for this purpose exactly, alongside a basketball court. There are benches all around in order to enjoy the peaceful place, sit by beautifully lit water fountain and also enjoy some dinner at the restaurant on the lake.

"My favorite park in Cluj," says my six-year-old daughter. Long paths through big trees, an old casino, a gazebo, a restaurant, and a pond with ducks and paddle boat rentals, what else do you need? For 30 lei, we got a flamingo paddle boat for 30 minutes, which my daughter loved! Across the street near the stadium is a playground with tons of equipment and even a trampoline that cost 10 lei for 5 minutes!!

The most known park in town, near the city center. Nice restaurants nearby (Carrousel, Kios, Collins, Euphoria), events in summertime (jazz in the park, wine festival)..

A parc always well maintained. A lot of space to put your hammoc and enjoy the weather. The lac is really pleasant and bring some freshness.

Not sure how to review a park, all I wanted was to share some photos, but here it goes: If you are expecting some trees, a small lake and benches, your expectations will be met and you will be happy. The park also has a nicely restored "casino" building where are regular expositions

It's a beautiful statue in a large square, unfortunately it's disappointing that the authorities aren't able to finish the revamping of the square and adjacent buildings so it's close to impossible to get a clean picture

If you are in Cluj, take break to visit this place Mathias Rex, beautiful architecture behind the church. You will also find good restaurants near the monument. Take a break and have a visit to Mathias Rex. There is a nice restaurant called Marty Eatery which serves delicious food with loads of options, I personally liked Chicken wings with few chilled pints of beers.

Nice place with lots off terrace to dine out or have a cup of tea. If you go to Cluj Napoca, you will definitely see this place and most probably you will tey out one of the restaurabts here. Also here is a nice big place where children might play around.

An amazing monument, Matthias Rex rising right next to an impressive Cathedral. Plenty of benches nearby ready to offer comfort to a tired tourist'legs, also plenty of outdoor local pubs selling filtered and unfiltered ale for those of usbmore thursty. The food court offers variety in their menus , fish chicken, beef stake.

It is a massive statue complex inaugurated in 1901 representing Mathias Corvinus Rex on a horse and others around him. It is the central piece of the square where it is located. It is a common meeting point, people usually meet at the tail of the horse.

An absolute gorgeous are to visit around Christmas time. Christmas music playing, little wooden lodes ( store fronts) all lit up selling hand made goods, mugs of hot chocolate and tea, a carousal, Historic buildings and Monuments, hot chimney cakes (hollow cakes covered in cinnamon sugar, cooked over a fire), and the sound of people laughing on the outdoor skating rink. When we went in 2014 Coca Cola and Santa Clause also happened to be there. Literally the most perfect "hallmark Christmas" you can imagine.

What a beautiful place. It demonstrates and documents the old and native Hungarian history of Kolozsvár (Cluj-Napoca).

Great location for a walk or hike, pretty clean in general. There are some caves you can visit. You can also climb the cliff if you are a fan of that, make sure to bring your equipment.

A wonderful and easy Sunday hike! There are 3 trails available and you can combine them to get the best experience. We started on the yellow dot trail, climbing to the top of the gorges from the Salvamont cottage in the national reserve, to the village Petreștii de Jos, and walked back to the starting point through the gorges, taking the red cross trail. Best hike to do on a sunny day, avoid rainy days as the trail through the gorges is filled with rocks that can get super slippery when wet. The views are great and the place is really popular. You pay 10 lei for parking per day. There are also food options available near the parking place.

Amazing spot just 40 mins away from the city. Just make sure you bring proper climbing shoes as the cliffs can be slippery.

Lovely walk in a beautiful area just outside Turda. We've done many like this in many countries but this was one of the most rural, with so much nature around us. Free parking and a few cafes and restaurants at the start. Lots of different walks to do from 2-6 hours! One is even longer if you're up for it!

Wonderful and spectacular gorges, everyone can visit the place. You can visit it in any season! Try using an offline application for navigating, as it is easy to know where to hike up the gorges.

Very nice place! I recommend going down the village and eating some barbeque around.

It has a magnificent scenery with the combination of forest, grassland, huge rocks and a small creek inside the canyon. Walking inside the canyon needs care and safety but it's a good place to refresh your mind and body.

Already visited twice, and I will definitely come the 3rd time, that's how much I love this place. Besides the beautiful nature, the food is delicious. After you do the walking thru the Keys, you can enjoy a good coffee and something to eat.

It’s a really beautiful spot. Half of the time you walk in shade, so this mini tour/hike can be done even when it’s a really warm day (we walk through the Gorge in 28 degrees Celsius around noon). It took us 3 hours from our parked car to reach the other end, rest a little and go back to the car. Some areas are more narrow and you have to wait a little for others (coming from the other direction) to pass next to you.

One of the most beautiful and attractive natural landscape of Cluj county. I have been many times and always impressed.

If you enter from the Est side there is good beautiful hiking trail that takes you all around just follow the red DOT after you cross the first bridge. This hiking trail takes you firts upside to see the Cheile Turzii than on the otherside you come inside of the Chei. Whach out because the rocks are very slippery when it rains. The hike it takes around 3-4 hours but offcours that depends on your condition. Have fun!!

Great place to stay in the middle of the travel for a relaxing break. At least for us. You can take a path to the top and get back by going along the canyon’s path. Great views and super pleasant walk. Some bars by the entry to canyon, and a camping site nearby.

Really enjoyed this park. Beautiful scenery. Can be difficult to know what trail you're on. We ended up on 7km one, indicated it should take 4 hours but it took us two and a half hours, stopping occasionally to take in the views. Parts were steep and difficult but manageable. I'd suggest you are moderately fit to enjoy it. The trail was marked with a red circle surrounded by a white circle.

Stunning views at the top with many activities, food trucks and stalls. Down the bottom there are more. A beautiful bridge over the river is a short walk from the bottom, furthest car park. Wear sporty clothes and shoes if you’re wanting to spend more time and do the hikes.

Gorgeous church in the middle of pedestrian area in Piața Unirii market. The St. Michael's Church is a Gothic-style Roman Catholic church and the second largest church in the Transylvania. The west portal is decorated with the three coats of arms of Sigismund as King of Hungary, as King of Bohemia and as Holy Roman Emperor. The oldest of its sections is the altar, inaugurated in 1390, while the newest part is the Gothic Revival-style clock tower, which was built in 1837-1862 and replaced a Baroque predecessor. Amazing proofs of historical times inside.

Has a long history and is located in a very large square which makes it quite unique in Transylvania where other such churches seem a bit cramped between the neighboring buildings However, I wanted to see it in February and it was under renovation, several months after still under renovation

A beautiful gothic church that has lasted for many centuries. The interior looks fantastic, with painted glass and walls. You can even climb on the spiral staircase - they say that two people, one going up and the other down will not meet each other of those stairs. The tower is 80m high and provides a beautiful view of the city centre

The stained glass windows are quite lovely, that was my favorite part. Now that the place is fully restored, it feels quite pleasant to sit there quietly and analyse the architecture.

A very beautiful church to visit in the center of Cluj. It’s a free entry so kinda cool. You can enter and stay as much as you want. A lot of corners to visit and take pictures. Somewhere on the left side you can go up on some very interesting stairs to see the church from a higher level.

I was able to visit it many times and to attend different events that were held here! A lot of history surrounding the chatedral, as well.

They have done an excellent job at restoring this church! It's an icon of Cluj, and it's restoration (on-going) really has helped make it stand out, even more than it had previously! It's a shame they have cut down the trees which surrounded the church, but I guess we'll have to wait and see what the final renovation brings.

Finally after year of renovation is open for the public! The church of Saint Michael is one of the most spectacular in Cluj, has gothic style and they builded at 15 century.

Pasteur 14) if you are on a budget. It's very close to the "centru" of the city and in a very nice neighborhood. Be careful crossing most streets. They also use traffic lights for pedestrians!

Great place to admire the beauty of the city. It’s a perfect place to enjoy sunset or sunrise. Enjoy the view and relax on top. The place is well maintained. The parks are clean. The best part is the view. After sunset the city view is incredible. I recommend everyone to go there.

For the views, it's worth the steep hike up hundreds of stairs. Located on a hill, this park offers beautiful views of the city. There's also a hotel on top and a playground with equipment for small and older kids. There's also a field for kids to play in as wel.

It is very good place to see Cluj-Napoca. You can see entire city from this park which is located on a hill. Nice, clean and walkable. There is a cross and few cafes.

Nice panorama of the city especially at sunset on a gorgeous sunny day. There are 2 ways to go up/down there, one being to go through private houses which I did accidentally when I went up as I was following a young family assuming they were tourists... and the "official" way with proper stairs so to say. Pretty satisfied to have skipped a team event where colleagues were indoor and shot onto one another with laser and went instead for this 3 hour walk in the city, ha!

Was a lovely walk, great view of the city. Great air, lots of trees & places to sit. I recommend using the Belvadir hotel restroom so you can see some "old glamour" Since we have knee issues we took bolt to a relatively high spot & went down after our walk using a communal scooter Defiantly a spot you shouldn't miss while visiting clouj!
