Pompeii

Pompei is a unique archeological site in Italy. Much of the ruins of this ancient Roman city were buried in ash after Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD. The catastrophic event preserved thousands of years of history, which today can be seen in the form of elaborate mosaics and frescoes, ornate temples, and well-preserved structures—including homes and public buildings.

Q&A about Pompeii

Hello, you mean places in these cities or in general? The Amalfi coast is pretty close to Pompei and it's beautiful! Civita di Bagnoregio and Bomarzo are close to Rome. In Rome, check to see if they will put the stands along the River, the neighborhood is called Trastevere. 😉

Having been around Italy for the past week.. I would say, don’t try and cram in so many cities esp 8-10 days. Italy is actually annoying to get around despite the high speed trains, and getting to Amalfi Coast, Pompeii etc takes more time than you think. Although the train from Naples -> Pompeii is only an hour, we ended up waiting 3 hours for a train because they all just got cancelled with no explanation 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ Feel free to pm 🙂
