Visitors can stroll or cycle around the lakeshore to find peace and quiet, but should be wary of the rumored monster living beneath the waters. It's a popular spot for families, offering activities like feeding ducks, jogging, cycling, and swimming during different seasons.
One of my favourite places to go both when I was a kid and also now as an adult.
During the winter and autumn is beautiful to walk around, feed the ducks, go on a jog or go cycling. During the spring and summer is nice to go swimming and chill with friends in the terraces.
Definitely worth the visit if you are around Girona - it is just a 20min drive from the city.

Lake is nice and quiet. It's a place where lots of animals live so it's to observe them. Around the lake is a great path for walking, running and cycling. I must say that car parking there can be problematic at least from side which I approached but finally it was possible near small church which is worth to see as well.

Beautiful lake. The swimming area is paid, but super clean and there are life guards on duty. Very nice, relaxed vibe and beautiful views.

It’s a super beautiful place! Great for kids and families .. However we got In trouble for swimming in the non designated area (don’t realize there were any!) .. There’s designated areas that you can only swim in, one includes paying for drinks in the restaurant before you’re allowed to swim... seems a bit odd! But over all nice for a swim and day of chilling.

One of the most beautiful places in Catalonia. I enjoy the warm summers cooling off under the trees and swimming in the lake..

Great lake for a pleasant 6.8km walk around. If you are visiting the area Wednesday is a good day to visit as it is the weekly market in the morning (stalls start shutting up around 12.30). So you can browse the market, have a nice walk and then stop for lunch in one of the local restaurants.
Richard Calvin — Google review
Don't expect any real nature around this lake. Some concrete cycle paths and dirt walking trails. Lots of swimming not allowed signs.
Eric van kempen — Google review
Beautiful lake even without sunny weather. You can bike, walk or drive around by car. Rent a kayak or row boat to enjoy the lake at its most. We definitely will return.

(Translated by Google) You have to go with the idea of helping and making us aware of how the issue is. The guided tour for children is very well done with an explanatory video that has a story and then they look for 3 clues during the tour. By the way, it is very hot on the route even though they have enabled some stops with shade and one with water sprinklers. It is true that if you want to see chimpanzees or macaques it is not the best place to go, but it is the best place to help them.
At no time can you interact with the chimpanzees or macaques for their well-being and you have to think that they will never be able to return to the life that would happen to them. I think they do a good job with the resources they have.

Here they teach you a little, what their job is and why. They take a guided tour of the two primate areas they have. I really liked the experience and I am very grateful to be able to collaborate with this foundation. Highly recommended and I hope it continues to grow to improve the quality of life of these primates. Thanks for everything.

On the part of Kevin, one of the guides, great. The visit has been very educational. It is worth contributing financially and, above all, spreading the work of respect and help that this foundation does. By educating society and making it sensitive to the reality that exists behind the exploitation of animals, perhaps one day MONA will cease to exist because it is no longer needed.

Perfect to go with or without children.
Terrible stories behind each primate... Very sad, but it is the harsh reality.
Highly advisable.
The guide who accompanied us, Arantxa, was very nice with the children and willing to answer all our questions.
If you are lucky like me, some chimpanzees will approach the fence and you will be able to see how big, strong and smart they are.
An experience that opens your eyes.

This Romanesque bridge with arches & defense towers dates back to the Middle Ages.
It's truly Amazing, one of the best bridges I have seen, and it's amazing at night time also.

Such a nice medieval town and worth a visit if your in the area. The Roman bridge is the star of the show and makes the walk into town feel grand. The streets are cozy and lots of stalls and restaurants. There is a circus museum in town and also a circus event that start at 9pm which you can buy tickets from the circus museum office box but may only be a summer event.

Besalú is a small town in Catalonia, Spain. It is also widely regarded as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. The medieval castles, churches, large residences and Jewish neighborhoods in the town are well preserved, and you can enjoy the beauty of medieval Spanish architecture while walking through them~

It was a rainy day so there was ample parking but limited public restrooms at the entry where bus trips lined up to relieve themselves. Once across the bridge the little town is full of local vendors and it was also a holiday so only about 1/2 were open and very few cafes so I think we hit it in a poor day. Limited view but still intriguing history.

Not to be missed if you are in the area. Several nice viewing areas from different angles. The best parking is on the right side right before crossing the river, if headed towards the town of Bisalu. It’s a good size free parking lot right after the around about. Don’t try to find parking in the town, it’s very hard.

Certainly a monument to behold. Its wonderful to walk on history. Very evocative of medieval cliches (you transport yourself to those times without a lot of effort, you expect the taxman at the gate to ask you for some fee to allow your produce to go inside for selling, if you know what I mean).
However, overcrowded scene brings down the fantasy 2 notches. Signs of the times…

Besalú is a medieval town with a 12th-century Romanesque bridge over the Fluvià river.
The name Besalú is derived from the Latin Bisuldunum, meaning a fort on a mountain between two rivers.
The town's importance was greater in the early Middle Ages, as capital of the county of Besalú, whose territory at one point extended as far as Corbières, Aude, in France. Wilfred the Hairy, credited with the unification of Catalonia, was Count of Besalú.
Kent Wang — Google review
A very pleasant place, I recommend visiting it. There you can take many fabulous photos and dip yourself into the atmosphere of the Middle Ages with knights and ladies.

Do not miss the old medieval bridge if you are around Besalu. It is a wonderful piece of heritage beautifully inserted in the surrounding nature. The whole village itself is also a must see and definitely worth a visit.

Besalù in Spain is a captivating medieval town, renowned for its striking Romanesque bridge that stretches across the Fluvià river. This historically rich town, a part of Catalonia, is a treasure trove of ancient architecture, including the remnants of a once-formidable fortress and a Jewish bathhouse dating back to the 12th century. The cobblestone streets, flanked by well-preserved medieval buildings, transport visitors back in time. Besalù is not only a feast for history enthusiasts but also offers delightful culinary experiences with its local Catalan cuisine. The town's compact size makes it perfect for leisurely exploration, promising an enchanting journey through a bygone era. A visit to Besalù is an unforgettable immersion into medieval splendor and cultural richness.

Platja de Lloret de Mar is a beautiful and popular beach with a large bay. The sandy shore can be busy, and the water has surprisingly large waves that deepen quickly. There's a steep drop-off from the beach to the sea, making it less suitable for small children. However, there are calmer areas near Castel d'en Plaja and in the evenings.
It's a very nice beach with lots of entertainment, bars and restaurants. Very clean water, but watch your kids when it is wavy. It's deep in a couple of metres.

Came here for the day, stayed in one little area! I really like this beach the sea is quite clear, the sand is quite rough and hard to walk on but it’s ok, there’s plenty to do, drinks and food nearby an aqua course, pedal boats, toilets and showering facilities nearby. the sun beds are €8 each and extra for umbrellas and has lovely views of the area. It’s relatively busy but not overly crowded. I would come back to this beach i’ve had a great day!

Decent beech, if not a little busy. I could not walk on the sand barefoot (VERY, very small pebbles), the beech has surprisingly large waves and the water gets deep quickly. There is a steep drop-off from beech to sea which, whilst good for landing small pleasure boats, is not good for small children. I (adult) was almost knocked off my feet by waves whilst walking along the shoreline. Up towards Castel d'en Plaja (rocky area), plus (generally) in the evenings, the drop-off/wave size was not as bad.

Traveled here on the local bus from Tossa Dr Mar.
Having got off at the main bus station it was not far to walk to the beach and along the cliff top path to climb up the rocky headline or further if you wish to.
Nice sandy edge inlet swimming shallows.
Well worth a day trip and worth the bus price.
Check before returning as I thought I bought a return ticket but was informed otherwise at the ticket office bus station when I enquired about this.
Nice scenic stroll along the promenade beach front and returned back to the bus station down the back streets.

Water World Parc, situated in Catalonia and popular among tourists during summers, is a vast park covering 140,000 square meters. It boasts of fifteen water attractions suitable for all age groups, including water slides, a wave pool, and a kids' lagoon. The park is surrounded by natural areas and grassy patches ideal for picnics or sunbathing. Additionally, the park features various food options to cater to visitors throughout the day.
Great day out! The park is very big so be prepared to walk more than 20k steps🙈 there are plenty of choices for all ages from kiddie pools and spaces to the extreme rides for braver ones. There is a very useful waterproof your phone service at the entrance for 6€, lockers, restaurants and clean toilets. Definitely buy tickets online to avoid long queues. Park opens at 10, we were there at 9:30 and still waited about 15 mins. The queue to buy tickets was about 1h long. The fast track premium band is well worth as it allows faster access to rides.

Lovely day here today. Slides are good fun some are quite hard on an older body! 😊 seventeen year old loved it all though! It’s not a cheap day out though. We bought the advance tickets €33 and €18 fast passes which give you one quicker go on a selection of the rides. These were invaluable as some of the waits were up to 45 minutes that we saw. You collect them from the gift shop which is not obvious and the person at information just told me ‘up’ and pointed up the hill which wasn’t helpful. I asked another guest and they told me the shop which is not up the hill! It’s all clean and well managed, lifeguards everywhere. It’s looking a little tired in places to be sure but not that bad. If you buy food in advance you can get it from any food place just show your bar code. It is steep and involves quite a lot of walking but all water parks do. We weren’t hassled for photos and we just asked for our deposit back for the locker in euros. There was no trouble. Total price for everything for three people over 1 metre 20 cms including food, locker, fast pass and entry was €190 and we were there about six hours. We went on every ride once and had had enough, but some quiet rides you could go on again. All in all a good but expensive day! Especially as we got taxis there and back too from Santa Susanna - €30 each way 😊.
Helen Bradley — Google review
Very average water park. As a couple we went to look for a bit of fun we paid 70 euro for the both of us and paid 8 euro for a big locker inside the park. Our pickup bus was 25 minutes late and it left us waiting wondering whether it will ever turn up or not. This already brought the mood down.
As we settled down we proceeded onto the slides some of which were very fun and quick enough to go through with no waiting lines at times. Then we proceeded onto a few other slides were you get trapped waiting for over 30 minutes for a slide. We felt like there was a large distance to walk from slide to slide (HIGHLY RECOMMEND PURCHASING SWIMMING SHOES). There was no big swimming pool to chill out in which was disappointing. The area was very clean and well kept. There is a possibility to purchase food which is what you'd expect at a water park. There is also a place where pictures taken of you can be purchased near the exit.
We decided to leave early as we didn't really enjoy the park so we proceeded onto the early bus pickup and left more than 10 minutes prior to the bus however the bus for our destination was not in the lane with the destinations name in front of it so we didn't go to it and we waited at the seating area. Bare in mind this was after asking the staff member where exactly to wait. We were then informed that we missed the bus and we could get a taxi home or wait 2 hours for the next one. Luckily another bus took us on where we were dropped to get a bus home. I won't be returning and I would recommend spending your money elsewhere.
Mikolaj Piotrowski — Google review
So, would have to agree with other reviews that queuing time is awful unless you get the fast passes so take off one star. Expensive but it meant the kids got a go on each ride. It is steep to walk around so be prepared if you're pushing a buggy or taking big picnic. But, having said that, we had a great day. Lots of free grassy areas with tree shade to set up camp (mostly on an incline) so we paid out again for sunbeds by the tropical pool - 4 euro each which we didn't think was bad. Didn't have the food, only got slushies at 6 euro each but they were big. The large rides didn't open til 11 but we got to the park about 10 and there are 4 or 5 slides open then that the kids all had a go on. It was only after they'd been waiting over an hour with a long way to go for the first big ride we realised only being there for the day they would spend most of the time standing not sliding. It's a shame because other reviewers had been before they introduced fast track and said queues were reasonable. Other problem there is if lots of people buy fast track, no one goes anywhere very quickly! All in all we really enjoyed our day but it is pricey!
Mich Hayes — Google review
Great place to spend a day. We were there from open to close. Kids loved every slide. Lifeguards were all lovely. Wave pool was hysterical, especially when everyone was clapping and counting down the bungee jumper. Food and drinks are a bit pricey. Locker was 11€ but you get 7€ tshirt to advertise the park when you return the key!!!

Located in a very beautiful area - the view is just amazing no matter where you stand.
All the rides were fun however, the tickets are a bit expensive if you get the fast track pass (we only got one for 6 rides). The fast track system was a bit confusing, you would go to a ride where it said number 6, yet they mark off number 5. The map should state which number is which ride to make it more clear.
The queue for the non-priority queue is very long, no point of saving money - just get the fast track otherwise you will wait for 40+mins.
CHANGING ROOMS DONT HAVE DOORS!! Basically - no privacy. Skip that and go to change in the toilets.
Food was meh, we went to the Mykonos place in the park, staff wasn't that friendly, the food was kind of bland.
And I am pretty sure they charge you €5 for a sunbed to lay in? Basically you pay over 80 pp and then on top you gotta pay for a locker, parking, and a sunbed.
But other than that - it was fun.

Me and my partner spent the day here today. Despite the negative reviews, we actually had the most wonderful time.
We arrived at the same time as quite a lot of school groups did so we were a little worried at first. However, this didn’t end up having much of an impact on waiting times. We would queue for each ride for about 15minutes tops.
They have about x16 rides all together, all of which were manned well by the staff. It’s just a shame there wasn’t more rides.
Food was okay… wouldn’t buy again. If we were to come again, we would definitely bring a packed lunch. However, this Js just personal preference.
As a whole, we would recommend this water park to anyone who comes to Lloret Del Mar as we had a great time.
Abigail Edge — Google review
It's always nice to make some splashing, amazing sliders. Unfair super vip pass for + 29 euros people overtake you 1 hour waiting. Too expensive for families with 37 euros each person above 120 cm.
lino bragadini — Google review
Great water park. Really enjoyed it. Kids loved it too.
Positives:
Rides are brilliant (especially the X-Treme Mountain, Rafting River, Wild River and Hurricanes).
Wave pool was amazing.
Fantastic kids sections.
Chill out areas.
Negatives:
Food and drink prices are ridiculous. Also the level of service was awful (very inexperienced staff who had no haste about them). Seems the park pay absolute minimum wage and then charge absolutely extortionate prices (€3.90 for a Mcdonald's size fries, €3.50 for a soft drink, €2.30 for water etc). If we had all eaten a meal (burger, pizza etc), it would have cost around €90 - 100.
The entry price (€145 for a family of 5) was a bit steep but looking back it was worth it as we did enjoy it.
The whole park is set on a big hill so everything is uphill.
Lockers in the middle of park had no attendant so when we realised we wanted a locker, we had to go all the way down to the bottom to get a key.
People asking for photos knowing it'll be another extortionate price at the end.
A few rides were closed on the day which was disappointing.

Great water park, easy spend whole day here. There's some great water rides. Recommend grabbing wet shoes from souvenir shop to walk around in with the hills and steps make it easy on your feet. Plenty of life guards around the park looking out for you. Food was quick and not too expensive. Went out of season so got to go on everything, but looking at the que lines you would be best getting the fast pass addon during the peak season
Grant Bartram — Google review
Water World Parc is something you must have done if you are on vacation in the neighborhood.
BUT...!!!
In an entire day we couldn't do all attractions.
Mostly because of the fast pass users. They keep on taking over most attractions.
We had to wait almost 90 minutes on a line of 45 minutes!!!
The fast pass is only good vor one thing! The cashflow for the parc company... 😠
It gives a lot of frustration for all the "normal" visitors.
So if you want to visit the entire parc with all of its attractions, don't go to the parc because you can't unless you spend a lot of extra money to a fast pass.
The entrance fee for our family of four was already 148 euros. Locker was 11 euros. Food was also expensive.
Fast pass for the four of us would have been 116 euros, which is way to much money for us...
The attractions are very nice but this way, the visit to the parc wasn't.

Playa de Fenals is a city beach situated in the quiet and serene district of Lloret de Mar. It boasts of coarse white sand, crystal-clear water, lifeguards, toilets, lockers, and a range of water sports facilities for both kids and adults. The beach offers an array of water entertainment options such as boat trips, kayaking among others. Xaloc restaurant situated within the vicinity offers excellent culinary experiences to visitors.
The very best beach on Costa Brava. Really, if you ever wanted to go to Lloret de Mar, don't go to the city center, choose Fenals district as it's more silent, with very good Xaloc restaurant, clean beach and nice walking routes.

Nothing special. The best at this location is the rock formations on the right side of the beach, especially in summer late evening. Unfortunately too many R U PPL. I felt uncomfortable (little stalingrad). I will not back because of this.

In my opinion it's better than the main beach in Loretta de mar. It seems a bit classier and not as commercial. There are a few bars and restaurants if required. The entrance to the sea is steep at the south end and shallow at the north.

Where did the beach go?
Where did the pavement go?
Why no maintenance was done?
Don't blame climate change but the constant weather modification programs the Spanish government is well aware of.

very nice but 7am in the morning you recognize the main objective of this small spot, party party fiesta 🤣 full of the leftovers from last nigt, outside the beach you smell urine allover. But it is beautiful, just the sand isn’t that fine as I am used to it. deserves almost five points as per beauty and view.

This is one of the most beautiful beach that I have seen! But if you have the luck to be there in and windy day it is not so enjoyable! Clean beach and crystal water. You even have the possibility to take a boat trip or rent a kayak or a lot of other water entertainment for both kids and parents!

Beautiful beach very clean would imagine very busy in peak season but wouldn't put me off as the waters are so clear . You can either relax or do parasending pedalos bannana boat or even day trips to other resorts from here so again plenty to do or just chill and enjoy your surroundings
The gardens of Santa Clotilde are a beautiful and tranquil place to spend a holiday in Lloret de Mar. The garden is broken down by the Italian renaissance gardens style, with lovely statues and flowers in abundance. There is also an expansive beach access that makes it easy to enjoy all the natural beauty the garden has to offer.
Beautiful garden!
Very enjoyable walk with many beauty spots where you can sit and enjoy the views - the beach, the sun glistening on the surface of the sea water or the calming green of the trees against the blue sky and sea!!!
Statues, fountains and beautiful staircases cascading down the terraces, big trees along the alleys guide your eyes in different directions as well as providing shade and comfort on a hot day.

What a great views and place to rest and switch off. Everything is inspired by Italian gardens, which is great to see in Spain. Newest spin off of Game of Thrones been recorded there, so be for look out if you can recall some scenes.

A beautiful Mediterranean garden located right on the cliff of Lloret de Mar. The location is a bit hard to get by foot especially when it’s over 35 degrees; you’ll arrive drenched🥲 The entrance fee is rather reasonable of only 6€. There is a really useful map that is given that will guide you throughout the garden. The views of the beach with the mountains are just immaculate. A beautiful spot to relax and enjoy the see. I recommend going during the golden hour at about 18h40-19h during the summer to truly see the glow of the area. Don’t miss out on visiting this spot when in the beach town.

Famous botanic garden of Lloret de Mar, with great views and perfectly maintained flora. Entrance is very cheap compared to many other attractions, you can easily go here with children because even in botanic garden they can find something interesting - trees with oranges!

An excellent botanical garden located in Lloret de Mar. Admission is 6€ for adults and 3€ for children. It's not a very big place. but it is green and has a sea view. It is very nice to watch the sea through various plants and trees. There are many beautiful spots to take pictures. Definitely a place to visit for the view.

Not even close to the beauty of the Jardí Botànic Marimurtra in Blanes. If you have a time and opportunity, i would strongly recommend to visit Jardí Botànic Marimurtra instead.
We liked: fresh air, fountain, the view.
We didn't like: area size, too little variation of plants/trees, entire park looks the same, no cafe.

Not allowed food in, but it takes only around 45 minutes to get around the whole place so as long as you have food before you shouldn't get hungry. Interesting place.

Fageda d'en Jordà is a magical beech forest with 20-meter-tall trees, thriving on the fertile lava from Croscat volcano in a national park. This mystical and quiet place, surrounded by volcanoes, has been immortalized by poets and is perfect for leisurely exploration on foot, bike, or horseback. The forest is particularly enchanting in autumn when the leaves turn red and golden.
Stunning walk in a beautiful forest.
It is very easy in term of effort and with the mixture of volcanic craters, it’s definitely an experience you don’t want to miss.

Beautiful and really accessible forest for walkers and cyclists alike. It has car park and there are several routes in the area that you may connect depending on how much time you have or the effort you may want to do.
Guillermo Molina Burguera — Google review
I read somewhere that it is possible to reach the forrest walking from Olot and I did that. I would rather not do it again 😅 it's a really long way! You may either choose some forrest paths (but then expect a lot of insects and some confusion) or walk aside the main road (but then the pavement is there only half of the way, for the rest of time you must watch your step).
The forrest itself is nice and soothing. Also, you can refill your water bottle in the toilet by the parking (the place looks like out of order, but it's actually functioning).

Magical autumn experience in a beautiful part of the world. Try the circuit from la Fageda through the forests to the Santa Maria chapel in the first volcano then on to the second, Cosco, before heading back to the car. Takes about 4 hours with a break, best done early-mid November to experience all the colours of autumn in Olot!
Jon Heavers — Google review
Beautiful place to visit. Best time of the year is autumn when you can enjoy colorfully the trees. You can either walk or rent a pony ride.
Marta R. Salvatella — Google review
Absolutely beautiful forest to get lost. This magical place is even prettier in autumn when the leaves fall and the color of the ground fades to red and golden. It’s free to visit and you can even start some hiking trails from there (the whole place is located in a volcanic parks area). Make sure not to support the guys with the pony rides since it’s animal abuse. Apart from that, don’t miss the chance to explore this place.

Illa Fantasia is a water park located just 30 minutes away from Barcelona, offering a variety of attractions suitable for all ages. It features a wave pool, water games, rapids, and a pirate-themed maze. Visiting early in the morning on weekdays is recommended to beat the heat and crowds. The friendly staff make an effort to communicate in English. However, some caution is advised due to steep walkways and the need for foot protection on certain slides.
One of the best water parks I have ever been to. Quite challenging attractions fit for all levels of enjoyment from adrenaline kicks and dreamy relaxed.
Mohamed El Alfy — Google review
If you have choice where to go, better chose Marineland, WaterWorld or Aquadiver. This place is not well organized for the visitors and too crowded: no benches to sit, no grass where you can rest and the water is quite dirty in all pools.
Sasha Poltaeva — Google review
Pros:
- staff is pretty nice
- big area with relatively diverse pools and slides
- nice picnic area
- you can bring your own food
Cons
- it's closed by 5:45 pm !!
- some rules are weird and illogical (having to go round places with no reason)
- food is overpriced
- some slides will cut you
3 stars overall, mostly because of the hours. You spend 100 euros for a family and they close at 5:45! The best time of the day they close everything! And you spend most of the little time you have inside waiting in lines. Other waterparks in Europe close at 9 or 10 in the summertime (some slides can be closed earlier, but not access to the pools).
Worth it as a first experience, but probably won't come back too soon.

It is a water park located just 30 minutes away from Barcelona by bus. It boasts a wide range of slides and games suitable for both children and adults.
There are many people present, and although you don't bump into people, some slides have extensive queues throughout the entire day, so you might not be able to enjoy all the slides.
There are various dining options available in the park that cater to those who need gluten-free food. Additionally, visitors can make use of designated areas for barbecuing, shaded spots, and lockers for storage.
Recommended going.
Maria Laura Orellana — Google review
Nice friendly staff who tried speaking English when they heard someone speaking Spanish with an accent. Not very long lines. A couple cautions: many steep hot slippery walkways, while sandles cannot be worn on the slides some type of foot protection is advised. The system of carrying the floats up the hill should be redesigned--at the very least do not require the guests to climb stairs to retrieve the float and then carry it down the wet steps. This is dangerous and easily fixed. We went for the afternoon session, 4 hours was enough. Parking was good and free.

Spent €100 for entrance which was fine. But the place is dirty and reminded my of swimming in sewage of Bombay that you watch j in documentaries. Extremely terrible. Dirty water. Fungal and skin diseases guaranteed.

The Illa Fantasia Water Park was the site for 36 hour long music, pool time, and amusement park activities which was part of the Barcelona Circuit Festival 2023. At the end of the day, the remaining few thousand attendees were guided into a small arena where disc jockeys entertained the crowd, who got carried away with the sensual ambiance, so they were lots of small groups going at it until dawn.

Overall, ok. Lots of people but also lots of space. Good picnic area, a good variety of water slides, but it would be ideal if they had more slides for younger children/under 5 year old. The taking of pictures by staff was a bit much, but overall, I ended up buying some nice photos to take home.
Natasha Simms — Google review
It is really slippery, so be extra careful. Use a lot of sunscrean. Locals bring lunch with them and occupy tables in the pine forest as soon as they come. But burgers a good too snd cost up to 14 for a menue with huge burger, chips and a drink.
The slides are plenty and fun. Queues are the same in any water park this time of a year
Olga Novikova — Google review
Booked online, arrived at opening time. Very quiet; no waiting around (although it was a Monday morning but still in school holiday times). Lots of slides and pools to keep busy, generally very tidy and clean. Water is a bit cooler than we're used to, but it was nice and refreshing and not uncomfortable.
The only slight issue was for some reason the shuttle bus isn't free for this season but I didn't notice that until I had already got on! Food was good and reasonably priced, would definitely recommend especially if you have children
Rachel Tomsett — Google review
It's OK, especially for kids. However drinks and food are expensive once in. Place could do with a lick of paint, but this doesn't detract for the experience from children. Best to do as separates away from organised day trips.
Matthew Reynolds — Google review
Not too bad but I wouldn't see it visiting on daily basis. I thought there are more attractions but there aren't. Only one attractions with inflatable rings but the wait was for me beyond doable. Artificial waves pool runs every 30 minutes but there is 2 hours no waves between 1pm to 3pm for some reasons. Really nice is to be able to bring your own picnic in a cool box of up to 40 liters and there are enough tables under canopies to enjoy the shade. For me what is offered seems the price tag rather high. Recommended are shoes because the concrete and tiles between pools are very hot and rough. For very little kids there is a great water tower to explore, my kids had fun therr and I just tagged along. Snack prices and ice cream prices are high as expected. I just expected to see more (art and sculptures or fountains and also to do more without so many queues everywhere.

The Sagrada Familia, a controversial and majestic unfinished Roman Catholic basilica in Barcelona's Example district, is an iconic UNESCO World Heritage site. Designed by renowned architect Antoni Gaudi, it stands as a testament to his unique vision and artistic genius. Combining late Spanish Gothic, Catalan Modernism, and Art Nouveau styles, the basilica aims to depict the life of Jesus and the history of faith.
If you come to Barcelona, go here! It might feel like a hefty price tag for a cathedral entrance in Europe, but it is 100% worth it!
The church is gorgeous outside, but the superstar is the inside. It literally took my breath away. Huge and clean and with capacity restrictions, it doesn't feel packed full of people.

In addition to being a stunning structure the process to enter is very easy. Easiest attraction I’ve ever been to. Show your ticket and go through security. Then your tickets get scanned and you can start the audio tour with your app. The tour leads to the museum and never fear - it leads you back to the Nativity facade where you started so you can look through again before leaving. I appreciated that it was not super busy - they didn’t seem to pack people in like i have experienced at other religious sites *cough* the Vatican * cough* but I can obviously only comment on the day I attended. The inside of the Sagrada is extremely beautiful. Bathed in light it feels calm even with all the people there with you. Amazing.
Note: you must buy your tickets online and have the app to enter.

Amazing of course. I particularly liked the way the light came through the various windows. Cool colors on one side and warm on the other. Every detail, such as the colors or proportions of the hall have meaning. Leave time for the quite extensive and interesting museum in the basement. The queues and security process are quite well organized and people working there are pleasant, asking you which language you would prefer to speak with them. Some airport operations could take away lessons from these nice but efficient and professional folks. I was very impressed by the amount of progress since my other visit, in 1983! There was no color ( just stone) and not really any fully enclosed spaces then. I hope to come back in another 40 years!

It's incredible and incredibly beautiful. If you come to Barcelona, you should definitely plan to visit the Sagrada Familia. It's best to buy tickets online so that you can get in and be sure of your preferred time. The best time, in my opinion, is in the afternoon, when the sun shines through the windows and the colours come into their own. A visit to the towers is also recommended. We went up the passion tower and had a great view to the ocean side and sun setting.

As an architect, Sagrada was a dream come true to experience. I recommend booking tickets in advance to secure your spot according to your preferred time slot. Personally, I’d advise mid to late afternoon is, however during peak season it’ll constantly be busy.
I’d suggest sure to allocate around 3-4 hours to explore and soak in the sheer size, history and detailing of the structure - both internally and externally. Lastly, make sure to download the Sagrada app beforehand, to follow the audio guide as your explore on foot.

Must visit. Our guide said we had really good sun that day so it really depends on the good weather to enjoy the kaleidoscope colours illuminated into the church!
If you like cool colours like blue and green, come in when the morning light shines. If you like warm colours of autumn, come towards sunset timings.
Suggest to join the tour to learn the significance of each structure. It looks complicated n stern but is filled with symbolism and stories. Wonderful.

Visited the place earlier and it was a wonderful experience to observe the architecture and detailing around the building. It's a real piece of art and admire the work done so far. Did not get chance to get the ticket to enter as no tickets were available at the counter. It is always advisable to book in advance if you are planning to visit the place. There are many good food choices around. Overall great experience and a must visit place while in Barcelona.

Breathtaking experience. You expect a classical church but this is completely different. Modern and classical art combined. No boring golden altars or statues but brilliant architecture and philosophy of a genius. The best monument i have ever visit. The 45 min audio guide (there is also an 25 min express option) is a very inspiring and extremely informative enabler. I fully recommend it, it makes the experience complete and gives you all the astonishing context to really enjoy this piece of art.

A amazing building, but also a very expensive exhibit. The app was very well designed and the ticket sharing was also high quality. May I suggest providing a more detailed audio guide in the app for those people wanting even more detail, including for those walking around the outside and the towers. The towers were also very limited in the length of the walk, which was not well communicated. Very friendly staff and an astonishing space.

Exceeded my expectations. Pictures don't do it justice. We bought tickets ahead, and went when it opened. There was no waiting or crowds for the first hour. It was quite busy when we left, so glad we took the approach we did. Absolutely loved the free audio guide/app, it describes things like how Gaudi used nature as inspiration. The columns, for example, look like trees. The reflection of the colorful sunlight through the glass onto the floor, ceiling and columns is absolutely breathtaking. Don't forget the museum downstairs.

Needless to say, this place is a must see in Barcelona. Regardless of your religion, you would enjoy the great architecture of the place. The windows artwork is mesmerizing, you should choose a relatively sunny day to enjoy the lights and colors throughout the basilica. Try to reserve the tickets early and plan your trip ahead because the tickets get sold out really fast.

The place is truly unique and does not resemble any other church. You have to order tickets in advance and I highly recommend adding one of the church’s towers to your visit. You reach the top by elevator and go down by foot. When entering the place, there is an airport like security check and bags scan, but the process is very smooth

Absolutely breathtaking, I have never seen anything like it! The immense amount of thought behind every little detail is incredible, the audio guide was really good for getting all the information. About the different colours of the mozaïek, the pillars and the statues. We did not go up the towers so I can’t say much about that, however the cathedral is truly amazing and I really recommend buying tickets in advance online.
Jade Spitters — Google review
You already know how amazing this was. I wasn’t that excited about going to “another cathedral,” but this was totally different. It was modern and more a work of science than art. I mean so cool. You have to go when the sun is coming through the glass. Get the free audio guide downloaded onto your phone. It’s really enlightening.

Absolutely stunning! We were fortunate to be greeted by a police officer who gave us a private tour. The panoramic view was amazing, and the surrounding area is easy to walk to see more landmarks. It's lovely strolling the streets of Barcelona. Go there, explore, experience the culture, and cross it off your bucket list!

Stunning unfinished cathedral. The inside is the opposite of a normal „boring“ church and really brings a special beauty into this building. There is a reason why Gaudi is called one of the history‘s greatest architects. The whole concept is so creative that even I‘m not a big fan of churches was impressed and spent longer than expected here. Would also recommend the passion tower facade to climb.

Absolutely stunning!! This should be #1 on your things to do in Barcelona! Once you see it in person, it's so much more amazing in person than in pictures!
NOTE - BUY TICKETS AHEAD OF TIME online to get inside! They get sold out quickly, and unfortunately they were sold out for the next week, so we couldn't see the inside.
But the structure outside was magnificent and I totally recommend it.

Touring this cathedral was a fabulous experience! I booked a tour, which enables you to view it at a particular time. On a sunny day, the sun fills the cathedral with an amazing display of light. Although one tower and one facade are not yet finished, what is already built is simply splendid.

Simply put, it’s a masterpiece. One of the modern wonders of the world. I’ve gotten to visit 3x over the last 7 years and it’s been awesome watching it come together. It’s already incredible, but should be even more so when all the construction is completed. A masterpiece.
Brendan Sullivan — Google review
It's definitely worth visiting this place. Architecture is amazing. Go have a closer look at the exterior. Each and every object has more detailed work and a story behind it. It's still under construction and planning many more to the existing architecture, and the interior looks so amazed and beautiful. It's worth visiting this place in Barcelona.

One of the most beautiful artistic symbols I have ever seen. You should buy your tickets online to grant the access at a preferred time. Large group visits can be organized only paying for a guide. Online guide was really clear and exhaustive, it permitted me to understand what’s the story telling of the Cathedral. Amazing!
Daniela Figlioli — Google review
Really don't have the words to describe how magical a building this is. You have to see it to believe it, just incredible. If you want great photos of the exterior then you are better getting these from the street as opposed to paying the entrance fee. Inside is stunning too though.

What a place!
It is a Church, it is a museum, it is having history in its every corner.
What design, what creativity and what the usage of stones.
If you are in Barcelona, you must visit this place because it is very alive, vibrant and very good atmosphere all around.
Good food can be enjoyed. One should hire a guide and one should book the tickets in advance, online though the waiting is not too long but still it is recommended.
Enjoy the vibe all around this place.

I know it’s top attraction of Barcelona, but I am not 100% sure I totally enjoyed and understood such a mixture of different styles and ideas. You definitely need to go around just to get an idea, and it’s up to you to decide how you like it. We couldn’t get in as all online tickets were sold even for the upcoming several weeks. Some people say it’s more beautiful inside than outside, so I guess it’s for the next time. In any case, I personally cannot imagine standing outside for hours in order to get in, especially if it’s hot outside.
Anya Nura — Google review
Incredible place!! I loved meeting you. I hope to return another day and be willing to pay 40 euros to see the island from the inside. It's very impactful.
There is a shop nearby to buy souvenirs but everything is expensive, if you walk a few more blocks you will find cheaper places with the same product.
Be careful as there are a lot of people there.

What a beautiful experience it was to have visited this place. The outside of the cathedral is amazing no doubt, but the interior just touched my soul. I literally couldn’t hold my tears back when I saw where Gaudi’s crypt was. To have imagined and made such a surreal masterpiece, is beyond my imagination. No wonder his work is so popular and that he was so well respected and loved. It is a beautiful piece of art, must visit. Every penny & second invested was worth it!
Paulomi Roy — Google review
Last work of the genius and here you find all his magic view. The best view of course is the old side with the nativity. The rest seems to be tentative to follow the maestro. Inside is great especially if you can go very early before the mass is coming.

A must see in Barcelona! Definitely purchase a guided tour well in advance to make sure you get in and to learn about the history. Because we had a scheduled tour at 9 am, we did not have to wait in a line to enter.
We did the optional tower tour, which I found well worth the cost and the time. The spiral staircase coming down is quite narrow and steep. I recommend putting any bag you may have in one of the lockers and having your hands free when you descend.
Allow 2 to 3 hours for the visit.
I can't begin to describe how beautiful the stained glass is and how inspiring the design and architecture are.
Go!

I've been inside many beautiful churches and this is the prettiest I've been in. The stained glass windows show so much beautiful colorful light. The ceiling is very tall and the church is huge. In fact, it's not even a church. It's an entire basilica! An audio guide is recommended as it helps a lot.

The Gothic Quarter, also known as Barri Gòtic, is a picturesque neighborhood in Barcelona. This charming and historic area features narrow medieval streets that are filled with trendy bars, clubs, and Catalan restaurants. Tourists can explore the remains of the ancient Roman city at the Museu d'Història de Barcelona. Street vendors sell leather products and jewelry near the Cathedral of Barcelona while flower stalls and food vendors line La Rambla avenue.
La Boqueria is a renowned indoor public market in Barcelona, close to Hotel Arc la Rambla. It is the city's oldest and largest gastronomic market, offering a wide variety of meat, produce, cheese, and exotic food items. With over 300 stalls representing different cultures, La Boqueria showcases the multiculturalism of Barcelona. Visitors can find traditional Catalan products as well as unique delicacies while immersing themselves in the vibrant atmosphere filled with charm and color.
Love this market, it's super busy as you'd expect, with not too much space to eat what you buy, but the quality is great in general everywhere here. You'll get food from everywhere and usually there's a fish market in the centre too (it wasn't open on the Monday when we went, but that just left us a little more space). You can buy dishes to eat there, or items to take home. Slightly more expensive of course, and very touristy, but a very large, high market area - excellent to wander around in, grab some delicacies and a beer or 2.

This had to be the coolest Mercado I’ve ever been. Very lively and colorful. They had mangoes that looked luxurious and juicy. I didn’t care to buy any as I don’t have a kitchen in my hotel room but they should really offer cut to order cause the produce looks amazing here. I recommend coming here.

A fun place to meander through the stalls! The market is filled with tons of options for fruit, fish, meats, if you think of it, they probably sell it. Surrounding the markets are a few cafes to sit down in as well. The chocolate covered strawberries were delicious! Perfect travel snack while you continue your shopping! 😂🍓🍫🛍️

It's a must if you like markets. You'll find good-quality local and international products. Some stands offer drinks (including wine) and small "tapas", that are not a typical Portuguese thing, but they allow you to try different dishes and preparations. If you have more of a sweet tooth, coffee and traditional sweets are also available. You can enjoy your meal while you discover the market or on the dedicated stands. The market is directly connected to a metro station and has public toilets on the different floors. Upstairs you'll also find restaurants.

Great market. A must visit in Barcelona. There are a lot of interesting things to try here. Like raw oysters opened on the spot. A lot of great fruit stands. And a few good restaurants with bar stands and delicious fresh seafood.

Wow. We were taken here as a surprise and it was epic. There is so much produce here, all of it looking beautiful, smelling delightful and readily available to eat in as a strolling tapas or take back to where you live/stay and enjoy later.
If you are remotely interested in food and fresh produce, you will find inspiration and enchantment here. I could have spent a day walking the aisles and looking at everything. Everyone there is happy and helpful too.
In Barcelona and on an open market day or night and enjoy food ? .. this place needs to be on your list.

Quite possibly one of my favourite parts of my trip to Barcelona!
Great food, great to get lost around. The smoothies and fruit are so fresh! The meats and cheeses are divine. Great to sit and get a beer here too..
It gets busy though! I preferred our night time trip down as it wasn’t as crammed!!

Beautiful colorful market where you can take in so many flavors. Lots to see with tons of people enjoying themselves. Went and had a great time with the girls and we left satisfied. Plenty to take with you when you head out. Great fruit and vegetables and tons of meats. Thank you for a great experience and see you again soon. It is definitely worth the trip

The market was a fun experience. I recommend walking the entire market before choosing who to buy from because a lot of the vendors offer the same things for slightly different prices.
But you can choose your own adventure. You can grab a snack or eat a whole meal. There aren't many seats in the market itself, but there is a small plaza behind it with some benches where you can take your goodies.

This place was the mother of all markets. It’s so large with much local food and also variety. They also have vendors that cater to a number of dietary restrictions. The juices at every stand were my favorite part along with the fresh fruit. I consumed 2 juices and 2 main dishes and my friend downed 4 juices herself easily. I highly recommend trying the exotic fruit options and fresh meals!

One of the best experiences you could have in Spain. It’s a market with a ton of different food options. From fresh fruit juices to Iberian ham and all the way to chocolate strawberries. Every option you could imagine. Delicious food and really friendly merchants. Would definitely recommend heading here for lunch and come hungry!

The best market we visited in Spain. Despite being so popular, the prices are honestly decent. We tried a large selection of items, including raw oysters, paella, steak strips, fruit juices, olives, fried seafood, amongst others. The 100% best thing was the raw oysters. It was €10 for 4, Spanish or French oysters. They were delicious and juicy, tasted so fresh and we were able to add tabasco/vinegar amongst other sauces provided. There are tons of stalls offering oysters and probably all sourced from the same place. The fruit juices were also amazing, for €2.50 it was delicious but the portion was quite small. I'd recommend trying one of the more unique mixes such as coconut. We wanted to come back a second time but never got the chance.

This place is great. Like a big market for many things. Seafood, food, souvenirs, and plenty of other things. Tried the chicken skewers and they were pretty good, well seasoned. Lot of people so one might have to squeeze through to get through some areas. Great experience.

what an awesome experience! Loved everything about this place. The variations of different things to buy and eat are tremendous. Everything from fruits to meats to seafood. All available fresh and in an outdoor market experience. I tried so many different things I can't name em all. The service from all the shop owners was friendly and prompt. They are Helpful if you are unsure of what your getting. The location is open air so gives you the feeling of a farmers market. Everyone I went to accepted credit cards so it was very convenient. There are plenty of small restaurants all around the market to sit and enjoy a cold sangria at so make sure you choose one. Overall great place to make part of your trip while in Barcelona.

You HAVE to go here if you are in Barcelona! I could have probably stayed in this market for my entire trip and been happy. There is so much to see and food to try! It can become very crowded but I found that it was very pleasant still. Everyone was very nice and the vendors are good at their jobs!
We tried a lot of food as we walked around and snacked and it was a great time. Keep your receipts though, they let you go into the bathroom for free! Otherwise, it’s one euro.

A bustling food market renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse culinary offerings. We are treated to a sensory feast as we stroll through the market's aisles, encountering colorful displays of fresh fruits, vegetables, seafood, meats, cheeses, and spices.
The market's stalls and counters offer an array of prepared foods, including traditional Spanish tapas, freshly squeezed juices, artisanal chocolates, and more. Whether you're in the mood for a quick bite or seeking ingredients for a gourmet meal, this market has something to satisfy every palate.
While the market can get crowded, especially during peak hours, the energy and excitement only add to its charm. We appreciate the opportunity to interact with local vendors and sample authentic Catalan cuisine.
Overall, a memorable culinary experience that captures the essence of Spanish gastronomy.

Most vendors offer small portions which is great as it allows you to experience many different dishes! Fresh oysters are a must and also the paella!

Visually nice, colourful market. Try the oysters, they are fresh.
Take care as it's a bit of a tourist trap. Too high prices especially at the stalls close to the entrance.
Personal opinion: coconut pieces in a plastic glass are not worth as they don't have almost any taste.

This place is so unique and fun, definitely very crowded with tourists but I think it was worth it. Trying local food will always be worth it in my book, there are so many different stalls with SO MANY choices from seafood, fried food, desserts, juices, meat and cheeses ect. Bring an empty stomach because you're going to want to try everything!
Kaitlin Maurer — Google review
Huge tourist trap, but worth a look. Lots of the same things at various stalls. So much juice, so much cured meat. It all looks cool, but after a while, it starts to seem really repetitive.
This isn't really a market for buying local produce, although you can and people do. If you're looking for where locals go, this isn't it.
Everything is quite expensive so don't expect cheap eats. However, you can get some excellent seafood from some of the spots inside. Sad to see the xuxo place gone.
Absolutely packed with tourists on their phones, but it seems that at least you can move around for the most part.
I recommend the egg stall. There are emu eggs!

The market had a diverse selection of produce and tapas. It was very enjoyable to walk between each of the stalls and see what the local cuisine entails. La Rambla is a famous tree-lined pedestrian walkway in Barcelona that is often filled with street festivals and historic buildings. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the city, and has been a target of terrorist attacks in recent years. The wide boulevard is flanked by plane trees and congested every day until the early hours of the morning with a wide cross-section of society.
Crowded street in a good area. Worth walking thru to get to your next tourist destination

Designed by architect Antoni Gaudi, Casa Batllo is a renowned historical landmark and museum situated on Barcelona's vibrant Passeig de Gracia boulevard. This exquisite Modernista masterpiece, transformed from an apartment block to a museum, mesmerizes visitors with its enchanting dragon-roofed structure.
Absolutely stunning architecture, full of amazing shapes, curves and colors. Walking inside the building feels like wandering in a romantic aquarium. The video guide is also very helpful and fun to play with. Try to get your ticket in advance, so you don’t need to pay extra for the gold ticket.

Very educational and inspirational experience. The audio guide made the experience even more fun. There several types of entrance tickets, but do not think the ticket with the AR tablet is necessary unless you are going with young children. Make sure to bring your own earphones!

Strange building, one of the strongest attractions in the city, if you have come all this way, it's a good idea to ride the metro for a look.
Organic inspired structure that flows and ebbs.
A visual feast for the eyes, you can stand a while and take it in, if your up for it, purchase a ticket and take a look inside.

A unique architectural experience. If you can afford it it's worth upgrading your ticket to get the augmented reality tablet and the cube experience. They do have a lift if needed but it's very small and does interfere with the audio tours flow around the house. Also, if you want to avoid the queue to enter pre book the ticket.

This place is incredible, I cannot imagine someone designing and created it since the 1900s, must be a forward thinker! I was amazed by its beauty, and all every single details of the house. I got a Silver ticket, which allowed you ti skip lines and has access to some areas that the Blue ticket does not. This place was recognized as World Heritage Site, although the money we paid was pretty high, 36€, they say it is dedicated to renovation plan of the house, so I guess it was worth it. Highly recommend buying a book about Gaudi in the end of the tour!

Another amazing Gaudi’s creation - this Casa is like a miracle in the heart of the city! The details, the materials, the ideas- incredible. And when you get to the top you see the chimneys that look beautiful. The central one looks like a dragon with its multicoloured scales. And there is a bar on the top so you can sit, rest and admire all this beauty. There is an option that you can take a photo on one of the balconies and it is a great opportunity to create more unforgettable memories.

This was a highlight of our trip in Barcelona! Beautiful, bold, and innovative. I recommend including the video/audio to your tour. Fun visuals of both fantasy and how the rooms may have been furnished when the family lived there. Increased our appreciation of the spirit and history of the place. We went early in the morning as it was less crowded and the morning sunlight shines on the front of the house which highlights it stunning colors. So glad the place is preserved and available to the public. Allow 2-3 hours to enjoy the house. Get tickets in advance as they sell out.

We went in the morning, and it was beautiful! The cheapest level (blue?) is all you need to enjoy the tour. The audio guide was great. The house is amazing! Worth visiting.

If you like architecture you'll love this building, if you don't like architecture you'll love this building. It is very expensive to get into, I did a group tour of a few of Gaudi buildings which worked out cheaper but you don't get to spend as long as you want on some of the buildings as there is A LOT to take in visually and informatively. The tour I did I thought was more informative as she mentioned some information that wasn't in handset of the self guided tour although she would've missed some things that would be in a self guided tour as well. Doing a tour you also skip the line which I did see was quite long as times.
Hope you enjoy the building as much as I did if you do see it

We so loved visiting Casa Batlló Highly recommend. The architecture and design are amazing. The virtual experience at the end is a great surprise to finish with. It’s about one and half hours to explore
Lisa Perry — Google review
The house is stunning, the experience novel, the price steep. We bought the Gold tickets (kids free) and it was worth the little extra to skip the line. You don't want to be in a crowd of people if you can avoid it. The audio guides were informative and the augmented reality tablets kept the kids engaged. The architecture is second-to-none, especially the woodwork.
Ben Lake — Google review
This is one of the best places to see in Barcelona. It was an amazing experience going inside with Gold level tickets that gives you full access to all rooms and a nice set of tablets with good headphones, plus you have a fast line pass.
They do not let you in earlier than your ticket time.
Roman Nagibin — Google review
A must visit, definitely worth the price. I wasn't sure what to expect but the audio tour and house in general is really awesome. I've never seen a house like it and it's very impressive.
The best part for me was the basement where they have a full room / screen experience to finish off the tour which is really good. Definitely a must visit for all Barcelona tourists.
Charles — Google review
Do recommend paying for the highest pass level you can afford (Blue < Silver < Gold), since the difference between Blue and Gold is only 29Euro vs 39Euro.
AND BUY TICKETS BEFOREHAND!
Check out the official site for the differences between pass levels (mainly AR tablet, Gaudi Dome, access to specific rooms, etc.)
Crowd management could've been done better, as all pass levels converge and you don't get special treatment once you're inside areas where everyone can access.
The team-lab-esque Gaudi dome experience was nice, although I can't say too relevant to the actual Casa. Worth the extra difference in pricing though
The casa is quite interesting, esp. considering it was an actual residence.

It's a very beautiful building, one of the most famous in Barcelona, with beautiful majolica on the walls designed by Gaudi. There is a terrace on the roof with a beautiful view of the neighborhood, you can take a "tourist" photo on the balcony and they will print it out and give you a digital version. It's such a stupid thing for tourists, but it costs 14€, I liked it. You should already have tickets, although if you come in the morning at 8-8.30 on weekdays, you won't have to stand in line for long. I also noticed a ticket office near the entrance to the building where you can buy 3 groups of tickets at once. And the "golden" group is very profitable! 6-7 houses for 60€. I liked it, I highly recommend it. One of my dreams))

We purchased tickets online and were able to go right in. The gold package allowed us to see everything and included an informative interactive audio guide. It's beautiful inside and out. Just be patient as there were many visitors when we went and some areas in the home got congested. Highly recommend visiting.

Great experience, however quite pricey! The audio tour was integrated seamlessly as you walk around the house and the house is truly beautiful and well preserved. For a one time experience I decided to pay the 35€, but maybe not worth it if you’re visiting Barcelona on a budget. There was no queue and no crowds when I visited on the 3rd of January, but I did get my ticket online.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY
I was very disappointed with my visit to Casa Batlló. The place was overcrowded with people and I could barely see anything. The tickets were expensive and not worth it. The AC was not working properly and it was very hot and stuffy inside. The architecture was nothing special and I felt like I wasted my time and money. They sold ticket ten times more than building capacity , I do not recommend this place at all.

Great spot to visit and is worth at least upgrading to silver. The line is shorter, and the interacting tablet is very cool and has some funny interaction. Make sure you don't miss or skip the last video! Was really cool and a highlight.

Purchased the gold ticket which allowed direct access at chosen time. The tablet and headset were helpful to navigate the house. The house itself is a work of art - so beautiful, intricate and artistic. Definitely worth a visit. Thoroughly enjoyed the immersive experience in the 'cube' at the end of the tour.

I love this place. A lot of opportunities to take great pictures. It’s a good size so you could spend a lot of time here, just admiring the works of art. We did the silver pass, which featured almost everything the gold one does except for like one small area. It was very busy but not like shoulder to shoulder. Employees were nice and helpful. Plan to spend 3-5 hrs.

I visited Casa Batlló in 2021 and it still is undoubtedly one of the most stunning houses in the world. However, what Barcelona has achieved with this museum is truly remarkable. They have taken a regular museum visit and turned it into an unforgettable EXPERIENCE. The visuals, storytelling, and branding are all flawless. If you love museums and are creative, you cannot afford to miss this experience. I would visit it a thousand times and still be in awe of it, and fall in love deeply. I know it's pricey, but it's worth every single penny. Yes, buy the audio guide.

I’m impressed by all the work, art work, how creative and talented people can be. It’s definitely a must if you travel to Barcelona. I personally love the experience of seeing the Casa Batlló (and generally every work of art made by Gaudí). At least once in life you have to see it.😍

We were completely in awe of the architecture here. We were so grateful to have an audio tour we could follow at our own pace. If you don't want to hold the wand, you can plug in your own headphones. The building is beautiful and even though we took our time going through the building I'm sure we still missed stuff. I would recommend this stop when visiting Barcelona. There was even a balcony where you can get your picture taken and purchase it, and there were so many fun facts as you walked through each floor. Get tickets early to avoid large crowds and make sure to take pictures at night of the front of the building as the lighting changes colors and adds a spectacular new view of the Casa. Definitely buy your tickets ahead of time online to save time.
Even though they had a "cube" show at the end of the tour, please be aware of fast moving lights, and lots of moving video especially if you suffer from vertigo. It was a bit much for me because I get dizzy easily from this type of exhibit. But it's short and you aren't missing much if you skip this.

Architecture beyond compare! Indescribable, but I'll try.
Gaudí had amazing vision. He designed and had this home built to resemble nature and the sea. The attention to detail is exquisite. The wooden shell depicted on the stairway, the bubbles of glass everywhere catching the light, the blue hand-made tile surrounding the ventilation shafts that make you feel like you could be under water are all well thought out details that make Casa Batlló my favorite attraction this trip. Just beautiful and amazing too, the grandeur, without being pretentious.
Yes, it's busy with people but it's a self-guided tour so just being still for a bit allows you to see without too much interruption. If you go, I recommend you don't rush!

Park Güell, located in Barcelona's Gracia district, is a renowned attraction showcasing the artistic brilliance of Antoni Gaudi. This verdant park, with its mosaic-covered buildings, sculptures, and staircases, offers panoramic views of the city and the Mediterranean Sea. Originally designed as an upscale residential complex by Eusebio Guell, it was transformed into a public park in 1926. The park combines natural beauty with Gaudi's distinctive style, fusing architecture seamlessly with nature.
This park has some great view of whole city and also all in sudden you feel like you are some different world surrounded by palm trees. I don't know how to describe the architecture of this place but it looks like to me like I am in Morocco. It's beautiful.
Sonika Prakash — Google review
The park sits on a hill top which provides a spectacular view over the city. The architecture, the design of the rocks , the benches decorated with colorful mosaic were beautiful and unique. The entrance fee is a reasonable €10.
But be aware it requires quite some walks. From the metro station it is about 15 minutes walks. There are lots of stairs to climb. Although there are escalators from the street to the park entrance, some sections do not work so you will have to take the stairs. After we reached to the top of the stairs, there is no clear sigh pointing to the park entrance. We ended up going to a wrong entrance which is for residents only. In the park some sections are not accessible so you will have to return back. The park could do a better job with signage.

This is a must in Barcelona! What an amazing park! The lovely views and incredible architecture make it a must-go-to place. Make sure to get tickets ahead of time and be there at the time marked on your tickets. This park has a limit on how many can be there at a time. You will not regret going!

The park is rich in trees and clean. No map is provided at the entrance. It was suggested to use the app. Routes are not all suitable to pass from if you have a stroller or wheelchair. There is a slope at the beginning and a good number of steps are to be taken to visit and access the whole park. In my opinion I think it should be free to go inside. There are no animals so far. I saw only pigeons and three small parrots flying around. The restaurant inside was fully packed and the service is slow and the servers needs attention. Food is not expensive however the portions are small. It would be wiser to take a packed lunch with you. Take a good walking shoes and non slippery.

We had a local take us through the park and its important sights. We were here around sunset and ended up getting some great lighting as we hiked through the beautiful columns, the mosaics and sculptures. Whether you want to take in the history, the freshness, the quiet away from the city, or just walk around, this place has it all to provide a relaxing atmosphere.

What an amazing experience strolling through this park. Was somewhat busy for early January but still pleasant. Park was clean, well maintained, and provided lots of pathways for all abilities. This park has many unique features, architecture, and plenty of opportunities to explore the natural environment. Great place to sit and relax and enjoy a bite to eat.
Highly recommend visiting this site when visiting Barcelona, Spain!

This place is amazing. It had a beautiful nature park and it has also amazing architecture to see. The sad part is that you have to pay extra to visit the museum. When going make sure to buy tickets ahead to avoid not getting in. But if you have a chance then definitely visit this place!

When you go here, prepare like for a small hike, as this place is up on a steep hill and it's a big garden you need time to explore fully. Make sure to grab the map at the entrance.
The garden is big and has many sights to see, it is advisable to come here either in the morning or as out of season as you can, otherwise you can't see much of the sights due to tourists.
The architecture is impressive and placed perfectly around the park.

Absolute beautiful place to walk around. I loved the experience. The views are amazing, all over the city. Bring loads of water. There is a good few steep steps to climb, although thats to be expected . 10/10. Would definitely go back.

This is a renowned and picturesque park, masterfully designed by the legendary Antoni Gaudí. Its ideal location in the heart of Barcelona provides easy access via public transportation. It's a perfect destination for a day out with friends and family or a peaceful retreat if you're venturing alone.

So beautiful! Definitely get tickets in advance. I waited too long and ended up having to do a tour in order to get in. I really enjoyed the tour and the overall scenery. The cafe was super crowded, as was the main bathroom. Worth it though! Also, there are multiple entrances so make sure you go to the correct one!
Lexy McCauley — Google review
Quirky place. Beautiful..buy tickets in advance. Also, plan for all of the hills, if you walk there and back. Depending on which direction you're coming from, there may be very steep hills or hundreds of stairs. The architecture is beautiful. Don't miss it.

It’s always a breathtaking experience coming here. As an architecture student it’s one of my favorite places to go. I definitely advice a guided tour and you will get to know all the details about this magical place instead of just going yourself and take a lot of photos. Take your time and walk around not only the colorful part of it but also the raw earthy side of the park.

This park is just so incredibly unique and beautiful. I could have wandered around there all day. The park itself is cool enough, but it also provides some spectacular views of the city. There was a flamenco performer and musician there when we went. The park can get crowded and tickets sell out, so be sure to reserve in advance
Joy Alvarez — Google review
The ticket it's cheap, the experience and the view are amazing. I was at the beginning of February and it's was crowded but not so much like we could still take photos, enjoy the nature and the view. Like most part of the city, the did some reconstruction so the museum in the building was closed. But the park is amazing, must see.

This place is a fantastic spot to walk around and see incredible views of the city. The park has many sights and provides many areas where you can rest, stop and take in the views. Tons of opportunities for good pictures as well. Highly recommend if you come to Barcelona.

Park Güell is set on a hill with nice views over the city. Entrance is 10 Euros but there is lots of interesting architecture to see and walks to go on within the compounds of the park. I would highly recommend a visit but beware some of the walks are quite physically demanding.

An absolutely incredible park with some amazing structures and mosaics by Gaudi. We somehow went to an entrance which was at the back of the park up a massive hill, so I wouldn't recommend going to that entrance if you have a problem walking up very steep steps in the heat. The rest of the park was absolutely gorgeous, you could spend all day there.
Rosa Brown — Google review
Lovely place but be prepared for a long walk. Take plenty of water on a sunny/hot day. Fantastic views of the city from several places. Has many well built walkway bridges to admire. Nice tiles mosaics view point. For those with walking difficulties, this will be hard.

Is really a masterpiece. Every corner, every inch is unique. Very very impressive structure and worth visiting. Actually is a MUST visiting place in Barcelona. I recommend to have a tour guide with you to explain the hidden futures of the structure and the engineering behind it. Book your tickets in advance!

A wonderful experience, slightly different than almost 20 years ago when I saw it for the first time as you need to pay an entrance fee and most importantly you must book in advance as it sells out easily. A different type of park where the nature gets Gaudi's touch. Highly recommended.

It is a shame a 'park' is being turned into a tourist attraction with gated entry. Would've been the perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon if not for
i) the traveling time/cost
ii) ticket costs, and
iii) dealing with massive crowds
Manage your expectations and you might have an enjoyable experience
Chi Kit Wong — Google review
Walking shoes are a must.
The entry is on the right of the grand entrance. There are many ways to follow and look around. This amazing park. The grandeur, the architecture, the views and the photographs you can take are just spectacular.
There is a cafeteria and WC so you're sorted for the next few hours.
CINDY DSILVA — Google review
Book the earliest tickets. When entering the park(entrance #3 -the most easiest way to walk-downhill), go straight to “ginger houses”. It will be a huge queue after 9:30 there. So, I recommend to visit them first, then - walk through the park. Even in rainy weather in March, this place is worth to visit!
Milana K — Google review
This is a chance to experience a creative view of architecture. The gardens are great to walk through, and the views across Barcelona are unrivalled. I booked my ticket online, and witnessed that anyone trying to get in without one were out of luck because they were 'sold out'.

OMG! I can't say enough amazing stuff about this place!!! It was so interesting learning about the original plans for the park and seeing all the amazing designs. I LOVED IT! Definitely a highlight of our trip to Barcelona.
We got there early, which I recommend to attempt to beat some of the crowd. It fills up quickly. If you want to take pictures, get there before it opens and stand in line. When I go back, I'll know what areas to go to first because the area really does fill up fast.
I scheduled about two hours for us to spend there and wish I'd done more. In fact, I'd at least double that if you enjoy architecture and being outdoors even a little.
There's also a small bakery on site so you can grab a bite while you wander.
Overall, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This is a WINNER!

Definitely worth a visit. We got there by bus from the city. We visited it in February. Beautiful setting, I can only imagine what it looks like in spring/summer. Fascinating to experience the three viaducts, impressive small buildings with quirky details. Really nice place. The cafe had a reasonably nice selection at good prices. I will be back.

This park is a delight to walk around, there are different things to see to add to your enjoyment.
The benches to sit on are unique and done in Gaudi's style with lots of small tile pieces.
There is a very nice picnic area with benches to sit at.
There is only one cafe that we could see which was very pricey and best avoided.
There is an entry fee to enter the park so bear this in mind.

Nice park with a picturesque view of Barcelona. Odd architecture and vegetation. Weather was not so nice, but even though the landscapes were beautiful. Buy your ticket in advance to avoid queues.

Another architectural masterpiece that cannot be overlooked. Highly recommended. Amazing view to the city as well. Make sure you get your tickets online and in advance. Will be more beautiful in a sunny day. Make sure to save some time to sit, relax and enjoy the view of the city.

The place is unique and the architecture is interesting. The place looks nicer in reality and pictures kinds don't make the place justice.
The disadvantage is that the place is almost always crowded, the if you want to take pictures in the main spots, you will most probably have to wait in a queue for a few, or if unlucky, for over 10-15 minutes.
I'd say it's worth visiting if you are patient and not in a rush.
The Magic Fountain of Montjuïc is a large, circular fountain with 3620 jets that sprays water up to 51 meters (170 feet). The fountain is famous for its scheduled shows of light and water choreographed to music. It is located in front of the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya and attracts hundreds of visitors on select evenings.
It is really beautiful and definitely recommend to see when in Barcelona. Unless you’ve already seen enough of this. Mind you it closes at 10pm
Prompt.
It gets quite crowded but there’s definitely a place to stand or watch. I was there around 9:45 so I catch it at the perfect time.
Though the water fountain flows but best time to see is after sunset where there’s a color and movement rhythm to the water. The whole place is really beautiful even during the day time.

Visiting the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc in Barcelona was an absolute highlight of my trip! From the moment the first droplet of water danced into the air, accompanied by the vibrant lights and captivating music, I was thoroughly mesmerized. The synchronization of elements creates a spectacular display that appeals to visitors of all ages, making it a must-see destination in Barcelona.
The setting, with the majestic National Art Museum of Catalonia in the background, adds to the magical atmosphere, making every performance feel like a special event. I recommend arriving early to secure a good viewing spot, as the area can get quite crowded with eager spectators. The best part? This stunning attraction is free, offering incredible value for an unforgettable experience.

This was very beautiful and easily accessible. The fountains weren't running for some reason, so I was disappointed, but it was a good time regardless. At the top I recommend sitting on the steps and having a drink. I found it very relaxing and the view and live music were nice.

Lovely area to walk around and take photos during the day.
Recommend seeing the water show but get there early and get close so you can hear the music! It goes on for about 20 minutes, different songs and displays.

A fun thing to do at night. The kids enjoyed and there was even very entertaining street performers there that kept everyone entertained until the fountain show started. It's recommended to arrive well in advance of the start of the show in order to score a good spot to sit. There are steps behind the fountain that can be used like bleachers for seating.

This is an unbelievable evening of Magic dancing waters in and around placa de Espana.close to the bullring centre. It is free to view but be aware that it becomes incredibly busy as it is one of Barcelonas must see tourist highlights.Main event takes place in front of the beautiful palace of art. Be prepared to stand for some time. Very little seating is available. The Avenue Approaches are littered with vendors selling goods of every description . The top floor of the bullring centre has many nice restaurants and is also a good place to view Font magica.

We didn’t have a chance to see the light show but the Magic fountains are still worth visiting. It is one of my favorite places in Barcelona. For the best view you should go on the top of the hill as it is definitely a great photo spot.

Water show taking place in Barcelona. Night lighting is also very successful. That view is mesmerizing. At the same time, the waters dance according to the sound of music. It is possible to come across concerts and events from time to time around. You should definitely visit this place and its surroundings.

Great fountain show with music and colored lights along with other cascading fountains - an hour long show from 9:30pm to 10:30pm, until end of Sept - much better than the Bellagio in Las Vegas or the one in Dubai

I usually love this place, but all fountains are closed due to drought. Not sure why people post old pictures of the fountain being on, I suspect due to that there are some salesman there.
The place itself is beautiful but can not review properly as it is not on (seems to have been for months now)

I am still surprised this very beautiful show is for FREE!!!! It is magical indeed and worth the wait.
We went there at around 20.30 and shows starts at 21.30 in summer, and still a lot of people were already around. If you want to get a sitting place on the stairs go early but otherwise you can still enjoy the show standing, is just pretty long to do it all standing.
Too bad for all the vendors who are a bit ruining the atmosphere and nice to see staff around to take care of the safety and organisation of the whole thing.
DO NOT MISS A VISIT!! Monday and Tuesday is closed tho, so plan around it!

Camp Nou is the renowned football stadium in Barcelona, hosting regular matches and offering stadium tours and a museum. It is the home ground of FC Barcelona, a highly prestigious football club with over 100,000 members. Situated in the eastern part of the city, around 5 kilometers from the city center, it can be easily accessed by metro. Following the Sagrada Familia, Camp Nou holds significant importance as one of Barcelona's major landmarks.
Really exciting place to be in if you love football. The stadium is deeply connected with the history of this sport. The museum inside tells the story of the club in good detail. I would advise to not rush through, and make sure to have at least 2h of time to visit. It was especially enjoyable stepping on the field around the bench area along the sideline, perfect spot for taking pictures. Walking on the playing pitch is not allowed.

Absolutely loved it! What an experience for me and my wife! We had a blast. Lots of bathroom at almost every entrance to the seats. The views were great from the second balcony in the corner. Definitely a MUST visit for the museum but if you can also catch a game you have to go!!

Very exciting place to visit. It was great. Just make sure that there is no a game the next day, as you won't be able to experience the full tour and visit most of the places as they are closed. And also everything is super expensive: gift shop and all coffee shops around.
Alex I — Google review
We bought the tour around the stadium and at night we went on game. There are a lot of things to see in the stadium like golden shoes of the players, their trophies and clothes. There aren’t any interactive places so I would not recommend this for younger children. The game night was something totally different because of the atmosphere. There is a big parking space and everything is good explained and marked so you will not have a problem with orientation.
Nastja Prodanic — Google review
We signed up for the tour when you walk in, which is €6 and they hand you a mobile device where you input certain numbers (located on the walls etc) and a video appears talking you through said section. It was incredibly difficult to find the numbers and it was too busy to listen to the device unless you purchased a headset also. So we gave up on this, wasted €6.
I also wasted €6 paying for 3 shots against the robot keeper. The machine was not open and being worked on by maintenance men. I wasn’t told this on purchase or on arrival so I left with no experience and €6 down.
The displays themselves were incredible. Just the vast amount of trophies and memorabilia on display is overwhelming. Especially if you’ve followed the team over the last few decades. You start linking each trophy to certain games in your memory.
The best bit of the tour for me was being able to sit in the stands and take it the size of the place. Also watching 200 people sit and take selfies and profile pictures on the balcony 😂
Another down side is that when it comes to having to go downstairs it is some walk to the next section which is an elevator lift away. Nothing it signed so you just kind of wonder around.
We thought we had finished after the trophies and the stands but after roaming around we found the away changing room, the conference box, the pitch side and commentary gantry. Would have been nice to see the home locker room but I can understand if they charge more for this.
Overall I would recommend visiting and doing the tour as it is a part of history.

The best club museum, all trophies, champions league and laliga titles in one place. And the best 360° Camp Nou room that feels like you're in stadium and Barça wins a trophie. But if you don't want to return after being there go in 2024, because the stadium is in reconstruction and its closed, but the museum, store and cafe are working.

We had an amazing experience here. I particularly enjoyed the Barca immersive tour. Lovely. The guides are great. Camp Nou stadium is still under construction so we never felt it. Overall great experience.

Absolute fantastic tour, take the player experience, absolutely worth it, we got lucky with a super awesome tour guide who was speaking Spanish, Catalan, Italian, French, English, and even a bit of Arabic, he made the tour so much fun.
Part of the player experience is visiting the changing room, but they do undersell it a lot. It isn't just about the changing room, it is about understanding the journey of the players, how they prepare days before the game in the technical room, how they have their meetings, their super tremendous pressure they have to play well. It is definitely an interesting perspective that none of the people on the tour had before.
The visit includes the tour, the store (Which is actually a mega store), and the activities outside, so we spent around 3 hours on premise. Highly recommended

As a football fan, this should be on the bucket list, but wait,.......
It is a building site, no stadium tour, no walk around. You can only visit a makeshift temporary museum, and the Barca shop. There is not much else to see. It is expected to be complete 2024, 2025 season. Just wait till it's complete. It's a shame that this historic, beautiful stadium is now gone.

I'm not much of a football fan, but my visit to Camp Nou was truly captivating. Even though the sport isn't my passion, I found it to be one of the best attractions in Barcelona. As I explored the stadium, I couldn't help but wonder about the incredible vibes and atmosphere during match days, especially during big matches. The energy and excitement must be truly electric. I can't quite imagine it, but I do hope to experience it for myself someday. We were in. Barcelona for a short city break and were going take the cable car up to the Olympic park but it was not running so decided to go to the Nou Camp. Whoops did not realise it was being knocked down and rebuilt. The Abbey of Montserrat is a historic monastery located in the Catalan province of Montserrat. It is one of Catalonia's most renowned tourist attractions and functions as a monastery for over 70 monks. The abbey is set against the backdrop of the majestic mountains of Montserrat and its interior is stunning, with ornate architecture dating back to the 15th century.
I booked a tour here from Barcelona. Didn't expect much but got an amazing experience. Great view from the top. Super quiet place. The day we were there was a bit busy because someone passed away. The view was amazing. From the abbey, there's a 20+ min walk to the cross where the view was superb. There were also free wine and cheese tasting at the market. Got a wonderful experience, meet great fellow traveller's here.

Lovely place to visit. Very busy at the time, transport in was easy and an experience. Taking the funicular to the top was an experience and we would recommend going to the top of the second funicular. Amazing views and a nice walk back down. For Catalans and in general for all Spaniards, Montserrat is one of the most sacred places, both the mountain and the Benedictine monastery itself. Apart from having interesting architecture and history, it offers a simply wonderful panoramic view of Barcelona and the surrounding area. And if you go up with the small rail lift, you will be able to enjoy a view from above and the monastery itself.
Simeon Runyov — Google review
Plan for an early morning arrival to beat the crowds and enjoy everything Montserrat has to offer. The line to the Black Virgin is long, however the rooms and staircase you wait in are visual delights along the wait. Plan to spend 6-8 hours here and pack a picnic. The views are splendid and the gardens and paths are perfect places to eat and enjoy the views. Plan your return trip accordingly if you use the tram/train or you will get stranded.

What a beautiful location. It takes quite a bit of effort to figure out what the best way is to arrive, and it also isn't cheap. The chapel and the Black Madonna are interesting but by themselves wouldn't be worth the effort. If you also visit the museum and do some of the hiking, then it is worth visiting! This excursion took us most of the day.

This is a multiple visit place,. First to see it, then to hear the choir. Then to visit and pray to the Black Madonna. Then to train the mountains where the Romans once worshipped Venus. Then to sit on rock platforms in the area that cleanse your negativity. Then to visit the tunnel where the Black Madonna was found. Then to try the cheeses and honey. The Montserrat Monastery is an awe-inspiring architectural wonder nestled amid beautiful mountains. The primary basilica houses the revered Virgin of Montserrat and provides stunning views of the surrounding peaks. The monastery is home to a 12th-century Black Madonna statue known as 'The Dark One' or 'Our Lady of Montserrat.' It's a famous local icon and a symbol of Catalan identity. During our visit, our tour guide informed us of Montserrat's world-renowned boys' choir and explained their training process in detail. We hope to witness their performance in the future. We decided to skip the museum since we had already visited all the famous museums in Barcelona before arriving here.

Very beautiful cathedral. Lots to see and very mosaic. Beautiful choir was playing that has a long history of beautiful music. You can spend hours here just taking everything in.

Visited on a foggy day and it was beautiful, not too hot. The views are gorgeous, both architecturally and scenery wise. The buildings are so beautiful, and we luckily went on a day where it wasn’t too busy. The bus ride up the mountain to get here was a bit windy, so be cautioned if you get carsick easily. Other than that, it is a beautiful sight to visit, would recommend

A long day to and from Barcelona. The Black Madonna is beautiful. The scenery to and from Barcelona to go there are awesome. It takes a couple of hours to arrive, visit takes several hours then ride back another couple hours. We were exhausted. We were exhausted once we got back, but it was worth the trip.

I had lovely weather on the day to the Montserrat and enjoyed the magnificent view from the mountain. There wasn't much crowd as the tour started early and it was great for photos and appreciation of the monastery. It was good advice to queue to see the Black Madonna first as the queue is usually long. It was terrific and I'm glad to see the Black Madonna at close proximity.

You'll want to spend more time than you have. We spent three hours here and were barely able to take in the highlights. The Abbey, of course, is stunning inside. And the views from the mountain are picture perfect. We did a short hike but definitely wished we could have spent more time and hiked farther and explored some of the other buildings here.

One of our favorite stops during our visit to Barcelona. Highly recommend the Tot Montserrat ticket: it includes absolutely everything you need-train, funicular, cable car, museum, basilica, and return. The buffet lunch is amazing with items for every taste. We hiked to the top of the mountain and saw the small chapel and caves. The view is spectacular. The cable car going down from the monastery offered beautiful views too. Don’t forget to stop at the little bar by the train station for a drink and ice cream. Such a relaxing spot nestled in an olive grove. The proprietor will not let you miss your train, though I could have stayed to enjoy the view for hours! Highly recommend this incredible day trip from Barcelona.

I decided to leave a review here because I want to give others more specific information ;) the place is definitely worth a visit. religious, natural, climbing a mountain - an incredible feeling and its own atmosphere. definitely recommend. from Barcelona, you can first take the metro to Plaza España, where you can take the P5 train. then there are different options - going up the mountain by cable car or funicular. it is better to go by funicular (more seats, more comfortable and convenient). you should not confuse the station yet, because you need to get to the station earlier to take the cable car. I recommend buying a ticket for 45 euros at the station before the train. there is a return train, funiculars. you can still go even higher up (this is another funicular and it is included in the price). this ticket is called Trans Montserrat. also included is the entrance to the Basilica and the Black Madonna. you have to pay separately for the museum. 20-30 minutes will be enough there, there are paintings by famous artists. there is also a cafe with a buffet (like 2 of them), affordable and fast. if you climb even higher, mountain lovers can climb even more on their own. that's why such reviews are highly recommended, you also need to pay attention to the departure time because funiculars and trains run once an hour.
Анна Ходзінська — Google review
Get there early. You can park along side the road and at the top is additional parking if you go early. Parking is 7 euros. Make sure you go straight to the guest information center. You'll be able to purchase all tickets here except the incline, which has its own ticket sales area.

Beautiful place. Recommend to take funicular up the hill and than walk down, you'll save energy and time.
Highly recommend to visit museum, very nice art works in a small place concentrated.

Amazing. This is a bustling centre of commerce and faith in what should be a somewhat inaccessible location - a mountaintop. It has lovely art, clean and spectacular vistas, and clearly has been a planned investment by the residents. Well worth the visit.

San Maria de Montserrat is a true marvel of architecture nestled in a breathtaking location, making it a magnet for visitors seeking awe-inspiring beauty and spiritual fulfillment. While the crowds may be abundant, they only serve to underscore the profound impact this sacred site has on all who visit. Prepare to be swept away by the majesty of Montserrat, an experience that transcends the ordinary and leaves an indelible mark on the soul. Don’t forget to light the candle as well.

Absolutely stunning ! Beautiful monastery and Basilica almost 1000 years old. Home to Black Madonna or Black Mother, a representation of Virgin Mary. The top of the mountain is accessible via a funicular that has a max gradient of 65 degrees.

Monserrat It's very beautiful, it's interesting the rock formation And to think that the sea used to be up there.
A recommendation is if you want to go up to San Juan or something like that, don't go up on the train (unless you are sick) what I recommend is to go around the mountain and go up to the viewpoint and then get off on the train or on foot which is the same and better. The view is amazing and of course you also get some exercise.
Angie Vanessa Villamil Ospina — Google review
This place is simply magical and mesmerizing! At SKY level altitude between unique rocks set, this is definitely a place to go.
The location is about 90 min from Barcelona, but the train system will take you there with only one switch to the monorail that takes you to the mountains.
Inside, there is a place to chill, to eat, to pray, and to hike. If you go with a tour, you might not have time for the hikes, but everything else will be ar reach.
There is also (at a separate cost) a small little train that takes you from the monastery to the top of the mountain.
Luis Ortega — Google review
A little to commercial for my taste. We caught the ques just right, so the lines were not that long. We didn't purchase a guided tour which would help if one doesn't know the history. We purchased tickets through turism barcelona and would need to add tour guide if desired. Hiked around the top and the views are amazing.

As a travel enthusiast, I recently embarked on a day trip to Montserrat from Barcelona, and the experience left me in awe. Nestled amidst the stunning mountains of Catalonia, Montserrat is a treasure trove of natural beauty, rich history, and spiritual significance.
The journey from Barcelona to Montserrat was seamless, with convenient transportation options available. Upon arrival, I was immediately captivated by the majestic rock formations that define the landscape. The rugged peaks, shaped by centuries of wind and weather, create a dramatic backdrop for the monastery perched atop the mountain.
The highlight of my visit was exploring the Montserrat Monastery, a place of pilgrimage and cultural significance. The monastery houses the revered statue of the Black Madonna, attracting pilgrims from around the world. The interior of the monastery is equally impressive, with ornate chapels, beautiful artwork, and stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
After visiting the monastery, I embarked on a hike along one of the many trails that crisscross the mountain. The scenic pathways offer breathtaking views of the Catalan countryside and provide a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
In addition to its natural beauty and religious significance, Montserrat is also home to the Montserrat Boys' Choir, renowned for its angelic voices. Catching a performance by the choir is a must-do experience, adding an extra layer of cultural immersion to your visit.
Overall, my day trip to Montserrat was an unforgettable experience that exceeded my expectations. Whether you're a nature lover, history buff, or spiritual seeker, Montserrat offers something for everyone. I highly recommend adding this enchanting destination to your itinerary when visiting Barcelona.
The Sant Jeroni peak is a popular hiking destination located in the Montserrat mountain range in Spain. Many climbers are drawn to this towering and rocky peak due to its breathtaking views of the Pyrenees, Mediterranean Sea, and distant islands. While there are other hiking trails available, the hike from the Abbey to Sant Jeroni's summit is considered more difficult and takes longer than most hikes.
The hike to the top of Jeroni Mountain was a very intense experience. The beginning of the hiking trail is in the area of the Montserrat monastery. It took a while to find it. But if you start coming from the parking lot, you need to walk to the end of the road, you will pass the tourist information kiosk and the entrance to the monastery courtyard. There are stairs straight ahead at the end of the road. You have to climb them and then just follow the signs. The hiking trail was very well marked. There are different trails, we took trail number one as we wanted to go out to the highest peak. It took 1 hour and 45 minutes to reach the top, we came down about 1 hour and 5 minutes. The trail is not the easiest, because it mostly goes uphill, and some of the climbs are quite steep. The terrain was very varied - stairs, paved road, stones, forest road, etc. But the views were really amazing, especially when you got to the top. It was a really amazing experience. We went there in October and the wind was extremely strong, so you have to think about your clothes, it's definitely very hot in the summer and the sun is shining. Parking costs €7 in the area of the monastery. You can also leave it on the side of the road for free, but then you have to walk about 2 km from there to the starting point of the hiking trail.

Awesome hike from Sant Juan Funicular. Catch the funicular from Montserrat Monastery and start walking towards the right from just outside the funicular station. It's almost a 4-5 kms hike. It's a failry easy hike of around 1 hour and only gets a little tough when nearing Sant Jeroni.

Castell de Cardona is a centuries-old fortress that overlooks the modern town of Cardona. It offers guided tours and upscale lodging with scenic views of the Muntanya de Sal (Salt Mountain) and the Lleida plain. The strategic position of the fortress has allowed noblemen to keep watch over the region for centuries. Visitors can explore the castle and enjoy panoramic views from the 11th-century Torre de la Minyona.
It's free to enter and definitely worth a visit. Great views and multiple information boards with the castle and town's history.

Remember no lifts and no porter service, so pack light and get to the entrance by car/taxi.
When leaving the castle, we booked a taxi to get down to the bus stand and then took the bus to our next destination (luggage in tow). Bus details are mostly on Google and the bus stand.
The castle was beautiful. Some parts are around 1000 years old and you can see amazing doors all around it. Some places are restricted for safety reasons.
The food is pretty good there. The place is well maintained and the front desk knows English so it's pretty easy to navigate and understand your surroundings in case of doubt.
They have a sauna and gym which they book for you for an hour as per your convenience.
Check the temperature on Google before visiting.

The salt mountain in itself is spectacular. However, I think the overall experience is greatly influenced by the guide you get assigned and we weren't so lucky in that sense. Ours was obviously well informed, but she didn't seem interested in communicating with us. In fact, the staff in general seemed unmotivated. Neither of the minibus drivers even said 'Hi' when we greeted them. Sorry guys, but could do better......

Salt mine sucks. Doesn't worth money spent. The castle is nice, please note, basilica entrance costs 5 eur per person. Recommended to visit

We stayed in the castle, everything was great. If you arrive by bus like we did you'll have to carry your luggage up quite a distance up maybe 7 stories to get to reception, but people arriving by car can drive up basically all the way. The room are nice and the beds are comfortable. They didn't tell us that you have to insert your room key in a little white box near the door to get electricity in your room, so we had to go back and ask why our lights didn't work. The restaurant was tasty but overpriced in our opinion. If you don't have a rental car don't expect there to be much to do, I'd stay 2 nights max.

Just wow. Want to feel like royalty, stay here. Beautiful castle and an amazing view. We had a suite. Very large comfortable bed. Robes and slippers provided to use. The room had a large soaking tub. I was not impressed with the food in the restaurant. My son only eats chicken but their menu was very limited. Nothing for him to eat. We took the short walk down I to the little town and ate at a small restaurant there the rest of our trip.

Very nice, awesome 360' view of the city, the Salt Mountain, the valley and surrounding areas. Of course a must visit location. Its clear the importance this place had since the early days, as the guide will explain the vigilance tower that existed before the whole castle and church were built.

Cardona Salt Mountain offers guided tours of a former salt mining operation, historical exhibits, a cafe, and a gift shop. The strategic position provides panoramic views of the Lleida plain and the 11th-century Torre de la Minyona. Visitors can book tickets at the store and take a bus to the mountain entrance with a Catalan guide.
You can book tickets at the store there. They will inform you when the next bus (compulsorily with a Catalan guide) will leave to the entrance of the mountain.
You have to wear a helmet at all times.
The water seeping through the ceiling will be salty. Be careful not to break anything or fall as the hardened salt can hurt you just like rocks do.
The whole place is beautiful. The stalactites make it look like Christmas under the Earth. The stalagmites look like melted wax all around. The various colours of salt make the place look gorgeous. Pictures will do no justice.
You can download the English audio from their tourism website for which the scan code is almost everywhere.
You can check out Blogaberry. Com for an elaborate blog on this.

Interesting tour of the old Salt mine, which made Cardona wealthy until it closed in 1990 (no longer viable)
Guided tour lasted about an hour. It was given only in Spanish, but literature in English was available so we could follow along.
Beautiful salt formations - suggest wearing older clothes as heavily salted water drips constantly and drys to a white stain on anything it lands on!!!

Nice tour and interesting but find it expensive for what it is 14EUR per person for a tour guide 45 minutes with 20 persons approximately. I learned later (I don't speak Catalan unfortunately) that photos are not allowed except in one place but I don't really understand why this rule!

We are from the US and took this tour because of the raving reviews. Buy your tickets ahead of time. We took a self-guided tour at the Cardona Castle at 10am (took about 30 minutes). Then stopped at the local bakery before going to the Salt Mountain. Our tour was at 11:30. We arrived at 11am, checked in, and was allowed to see the museum before the tour. The museum consists of outdoor and indoor displays. The best one is the machine room, and downstairs where there is a photo timeline in English (it'sa little dark so use your phone light to read the descriptions). Before the Salt tour they will give you a QR code to scan so you can listen to the recording in the cave while the guide is speakingin Catalan. Bring your own Bluetooth headset/earbuds. They have cheap headphones if your phone has a jack. The guide knew some English but the tour is in Catalan.

Nestled in the heart of Catalonia's wine country, Freixenet is a sparkling gem that showcases the Catalan Art Nouveau style. The cellars, with their colorful glazed ceramics and wave-shaped cornice, are a sight to behold. With 18 wineries across seven countries on three continents, Freixenet Group seamlessly combines tradition and innovation using cutting-edge technology. Visitors can enjoy tours for groups, individuals, and families any day of the week.
One of the best tours we have ever been on, and by far the best value for money!
Being a big fan of freixenet anyway we stumbled across this tour when researching Barcelona.
It’s a gorgeous setting and the outside alone is picturesque.
All the sparkle team staff were so friendly and passionate.
The tour itself was a bargain with the video then full winery tour.
We got 2 glasses with crackers and ended up working our way through the wine list and ordering tapas.
I would go back in a heartbeat and recommend to anyone.

Beautiful venue. Really amazing layout with a great selection of drinks available.
You can sit outside and try different glasses for very reasonable prices. My suggestion though is to book in for a tour because if you miss out (like we did) then you will be very disappointed.
Another note is the region mostly closes down at 1 till 4:30ish however here they are open till 2:30.
The only downside was the staff were very unfriendly or accommodating, so that’s the only reason it’s not a 5. Do not let that stop you it may just be my experience. Go and have a great time.
Good job team.

Tour guide was good but didn’t get much of a sense of the factory - you are taken through the caves with exhibits but not the actual production facilities. Takes about 1 hour with 30 mins for tasting. Would not go out of our way to come here but worth a stop if passing through

Good tour to start your day in Sant Sadurní. Be sure to book ahead of time. I recommend doing around 11 or 11:30 AM. The tour takes about an hour and you finish with tasting two different cavas. It’s right behind the train station so it makes an excellent first stop!

My husband and I made a stop here while on our honeymoon. We rented a car to drive out to a few wineries from Barcelona. The wines we experienced at Freixenet were delicious. We particularly enjoyed the iced wines. Atmosphere was a little bizarre to start- we had emailed ahead to make a reservation, but it seemed when we arrived that there may have been some kind of private lunch event occurring that day. The menu was a bit limited due to this. Otherwise, service was great!

Freixenet winery is an easy walk from the train station and a great way to get out of Barcelona and see some of the Penedes region, famous for making wine and Cava. The tour, offered in several languages, takes you deep down into some of the the tunnels or caves where the Cava is kept in barrels and then bottled for the second fermentation - millions of bottles are exported around the world. Visitors are given a history of the winery and the Ferrer family. You also learn how champagne is made in the traditional method. The tour price includes a wine and Cava tasting in the garden.

Attention, there is no train ride in the cellar neither can you see the production line. Compared to this one the competitors tour of A.C. definitely wins.

Drove here from the UK last year. While I didn’t stay in Sitges, I did visit the beach. It’s exactly what I expected; busy and overcrowded.
The best thing about the beach was, it was stunning to look at, and the weather was extremely warm.
I definitely will come back and visit again, but only for a couple of hours. There are plenty of other beaches nearby which are less crowded and more relaxing.

We came to Sitges by train leaving Barcelona from Sants.
The journey was quick and easy; about 40 mins and then there was a short walk from the station to the beach passing lots of interesting shops, bars and restaurants.
It was a Sunday and a sunny day in early April.
It was not only our idea to go to Sitges but also most of Barcelona's as Sitges was packed with people out for a Sunday jolly.
Every bar and restaurant was packed out even though there were loads of them.
Sitges is a pretty town with two beaches with one nicer than the other, spoiled by the constant loud shouts from hawkers selling Mojitos, Beer, Coke and so on.
Every time you shut your eyes to snooze on the beach, one of the many walks right past your head yelling at the top of their lungs the same thing over and over again. No peace on the beach.
The shops are interesting so if you like wandering around, there are plenty of places to go to and look at.
Plenty of choices when it comes to food
Tapas, burgers, sea food...something for everyone.
Train back was absolutely packed, with people sitting on stairs and any spare foot of real estate available.
I liked Sitges but chose a bad day to visit. If it had been quieter, I would have enjoyed it a lot more.

Compared to Barceloneta Beach, there are not many people and it is quiet. There is no solicitation, so you can relax comfortably. The sand is fine and feels good against your feet. This is a 99% gay beach with sunbeds costing $25 for 2x sunbeds & 1x parasol that are always jammed tightly together and mainly full by Midday. It has a small restaurant and bar at the back which is good quality but pricey (this is Sitges so no surprise!) and beach vendors selling "aqua, cerveca, Coca-Cola", a call that is repeated every few seconds until you actually want one when they typically disappear! It's a beach for people looking for a good vibe; don't go if noise upsets you as there are, occasionally, a few older men who glower and tut at people but they should go to the quieter beach next door!

Beautiful place with great audioguide, many quiet areas for meditation and exceptional architectural details.

Don't miss the place. Have lunch at Hostal Grau and then a good (digestive) walk around in inside the monastery. Worth a day to visit big times.

The monastery is old but well preserved. A great visit if you're into that kind of things. If you're not, it's still a nice place to visit. The peaceful and quite atmosfere has a quality of it's own. The audio tour was great and easy to follow. The reason I give this place 3 stars instead of 4 is due to the area outside The monastery. Someone broke into the car next to ours and stole their luggage.

Nestled within the lush embrace of nature, this historical sanctuary is a testament to tranquility and spiritual devotion, where the monks, guardians of this sacred terrain, move with a grace that is both captivating and profound. Cloaked in traditional robes that whisper of age-old customs, they embody the essence of serenity, their very presence an invitation to explore deeper realms of consciousness and connection.
Amidst this serene backdrop, the practice of cruising through the hidden corners of this sacred land becomes an act of meditative discovery. The monks, in their quiet reverence for the natural world, often find themselves wandering through these secluded spots, inviting those who seek to share in these moments of ecstasy. Here, amidst the whispering trees and the gentle caress of the breeze, one encounters the divine in the most unexpected places.
The act of petting, a gentle communion with the creatures that inhabit these sacred grounds, becomes a ritual of connection, a tangible expression of the harmony between all forms of life. In these moments of shared existence, the monks guide us to a state of ecstasy, where the boundaries between the self and the divine blur, enveloped in the profound peace that permeates this place.
This sanctuary, with its beautiful monks and their intimate knowledge of hidden enclaves, invites visitors into a world where the sensual and the spiritual intertwine. Through the acts of cruising, experiencing ecstasy, and engaging in the gentle art of petting, one discovers the deep joy of a life lived in close communion with nature. It is a place of unparalleled beauty and profound peace, where the soul is free to explore the depths of its own existence.

Worth a small trip, if you like monasteries.
The entry costs 4-8€ (discounted/normal adult) and includes an audioguide. Especially the courtyard and the royal pantheon are more than worth that money.

Went for a “walk and wine”. It was a great experience. Very nice to walk around the vineyards and explore both the grapes, the landscape and more that were there. At the end of the walk, there where wine tastings and snacks. It was a very fun experience. After the walk we were educated by Xavier, who was great, cheerful and fun. And more wine. I highly recommend this.

(Translated by Google) Family winery and therefore a visit with feeling, both Xavi and his mother, have opened the doors of their home to us and made us feel like family, thank you!!!
The visit un 10, he explained in detail the family history of the farm and later the winery as well as the evolution of its broths.
I particularly stick with ARLEQUIÍ, we have tasted up to 5 wines and they all have some charm that makes them unique, I would highlight FLORS AND VIOLES, a different rosé and most surprising the new VITTA, which I would not know how to rate, if the evolution of VI DEL VENT, a sweet wine with a surname, a non-bitter vermouth, a combination of wine and citrus or simply something different...
Totally recommended visit.

Visita totalment recomable.

(Translated by Google) They call it the Harvest Festival, they only do it once a year and we were lucky enough to be able to participate. The Celler is small, familiar, very familiar, to the point that it is managed by parents and children and this gives a lot of closeness during the visit. Upon arrival a short presentation and introduction of what we would do. Walk to the vineyards, grape picking, farmer's breakfast, visit to the cellars and pressing of the grapes with your feet. An entire experience explained with great sympathy by the son. It has nothing to do with the wine tasting that some cavas do, this is much more interesting. I forgot... of course wine tasting and cavas in abundance, whites, reds and rosés, wow, you leave a little dizzy. An affordable price, and a radiant day helped a lot. All in all they made it an unforgettable experience. I recommend it... but you'll have to wait a year!

Us la recomano... però haureu d'esperar un any!

(Translated by Google) Very interesting, pleasant and complete visit. Xavier, an expert guide, kind and lover of the product. Very good wines, as well as oil and hazelnuts. We couldn't resist taking home samples of everything. We will do the walk & wine again after the summer! I gave it 4 stars because we didn't try the Harlequin hahaha

La visita molt interessant, agradable i completa. En Xavier, un guia expert, amable i amant del producte. Els vins molt bons, així com l'oli i les avellanes. No ens vam poder estar d'emportar-nos mostres de tot cap a casa. Tornarem a fer el walk & wine després de l'estiu! Li he posat 4 estrelles perque no vam tastar l'Arlequí hahaha
