Aqualand del Vasto S.r.l. is a water park suitable for families with a variety of slides, tube rides and pools available. There are also aqua sports and fitness classes offered. The park has an assortment of pools appropriate for children ranging from baby pools to slides designed for 4-7 year olds and older individuals. Visitors may want to bring their own food as the park's cuisine is not particularly impressive.
A very nice place and unique for the area. On weekends it's packed and it takes long time to access to the fun themes.

Very nice place some of the attractions was a waiting of at least 35 to 40 minutes which is not great , also stuff are not bothered at all ,they look like they are not interested in the job and for the not paying attention someone life can be at risk ,also a lot of mid age and also you boys and girls won't wait like all the rest and stuff won't care as to busy to be on their phones , at one of the attractions, a lady staff was to busy on her phone my cousin said if he can go and she become very rude by saying you don't speak Italian my cousin was asking in Italian if he can go but because of his accent she was very rude which we did not go back . I wanted to give 5 stars but because of the behaviour of some staff they deserve only 3
Ion Lucian Muntean — Google review
Great place with a good selection of rides. Umbrellas and chairs all included and never too busy, at least during the week. Only waiting about 15 minutes for rides
Matteo Di Niro — Google review
Good mix of baby pools, slides for 4-7 year old and older. Food is a little underwhelming, recommend bringing a picnic. Don't go around ferragosto the queues for slides are long
Paul O'Neill — Google review
The park is small and there is just one big pool. However is ok for refreshing yourself.
Karen Mendez — Google review
Thoroughly enjoyable water park with plenty of entertainment and rides available. The price is fairly reasonable and the queues tend to be quite short. All in all, would recommend going if you have the time.

The Punta Aderci wildlife reserve features a renowned pebble beach surrounded by cliffs which offer stunning panoramic views of the sea. Despite being almost abandoned in the past, it has recently become a popular destination for tourists seeking to explore the picturesque coastline of Abruzzo. The best time to visit is during early autumn when there are fewer crowds and the deep blue water color is due to changing weather conditions.
This is a must go place in vasto, almost abandoned in past, in the last years many and many tourists started coming just to admire at this landmark.
Best period to visit is early autumn, less crowded and with a deep blue water color due to the changing weather conditions.
You don't appreciate things when you have them.
Tony Stark — Google review
Beautiful visit but the water/beach left a little something to be desired. The sea was pretty rough and the water had substantial debris, which was mostly organic (I only saw one tissue/piece of trash). Other than that, the walk to the beach alone is worth the visit on a sunny day. Amazing view of the sea, valley and mountains all in one horizon.
Great stop for us as we drove up the coast and wanted to stop for a swim and a walk. Glad we saw it.
Sinead O'Duffy — Google review
A small beauty spot with majestic stony beach and a bit of a cliff.
We were very lucky to come across frogs mating season in the small pond on the beach. What a symphony of amphibians! I guess it was just some luck.
There is a house on the jetty nearby, we'll visible from the cliff and breath views.
Great spot for a picnic, perhaps, but not a toilet or drinking water in sight.
Marcin Szulc — Google review
This place is a must visit while exploring the coast of Abruzzo. Nice viewpoints along the hike path. Steep steps going down to the beach. All natural, no shops etc so bring your own food and drinks...then just chill!
The Abbey of San Giovanni in Venere, located in Fossacesia, Abruzzo, is a magnificent monastic complex with a rich history dating back to the 6th century. The abbey's architecture and stunning views make it a must-visit for art and monument enthusiasts. While the site offers beautiful scenery and a bar for refreshments, some visitors have noted issues with cleanliness in the facilities.
Beautiful old church which was once used as a lookout for invasions from the sea. Sitting WWII, there was a lot of damage to the church, which has been restored. Unfortunately since then, people have been defacing the garden walls by etching their names, hometown and year.

A beautiful abbey a short drive away from Paglieta. Absolutely stunning views, gorgeous architecture and a bar on site where you can buy pizza, patisserie and drinks. The server was very friendly and chatty!
The only downside of this location was the toilets. They were not very clean, did not have any toilet paper, locks on toilet doors or hand soap.
Emma Green — Google review
A beautiful Abbey with an excellent cafe and gardens to walk around. A wedding was a real treat to see and a perfect setting for a happy occasion. Fantastic views of surrounding mountains, countryside and coastline.
Rachel Narkiewicz — Google review
Really cool place, a good walk or bike ride, but for tourists I guess it’s better to reach by car
It’s a XII century Abbazia, so it’s quite simple with no particular mosaici, or paintings but I found the three absidi a really cool concept

Zoo displaying animals like elephants, giraffes, zebras & monkeys, with some interactive areas.
Lovely tiny zoo. Animals very close for watching!
Martin Vojtisek — Google review
Fantastic zoo for children. It is not large and accessible with a stroller. There are large animals in addition to smaller ones like a petting area for rabbits. There are exhibitions with giraffes and elephants multiple times per day. Kids can also feed goats and sheep.
Within the zoo, there is an amusement park with rides and games for kids. There is a restaurant and during the summer, small kiosks selling coffee.
The admission price is a little high for the area which is the only downside.

Great place to spend a day with children. Lots of attractions for the little ones. There is a big picnic area, so bring some snacks with you.
Dom S — Google review
Not impressed with the zoo at all, The animals didn't appear to be well cared for. Some of the animals were in bare concrete cages with no access to water. There wasn't anything to stimulate them.
The paths around the zoo weren't pushchair friendly.
Sue Roberts — Google review
This is a cute little zoo. Something good to check out once if you are in the area.

I've bought cheeper tickets on Groupon,so recommend to everyone. Nice place to spend a day with family and children, many picnic places, bars and self-service restaurant. Entertainment for children not only animals, but also a Luna park.
Elena Rybak — Google review
I love the place coz so beautiful and organised
Josephine Cabuga (Dadak) — Google review
The good thing is the friendly staff. Unfortunately, however, the zoo itself is more of an amusement park for small children than a zoo - the cages/areas for the animals are way too small. The zoo is a home for the animals and I think the space should bee reserved for the animals instead of picnic areas and fun park equipment.
There is also an area where you can see, feed and touch small bunnies which is really nice - except that the kids run around, pick up bunnies even from their safe nests/houses and scare the them. Instead of guiding the children parents only couraged them to run, pick up and scare the bunnies even more, and the staff said nothing... The bunnies are living animals, not toys for kids.
Unfortunately a really upseting and distressing experience. Have never been this upset after a day the zoo.
Carita Kanes — Google review
Kids loved it! Could easily spend the whole day here. Many great picnic areas too…
L. Larsen — Google review
The best experience in a wonderful place
Iva Stamenova — Google review
The pictures of the zoo are not reality. The cages were terrible small and some birds were fixed by a rope. The elephant must live there alone and it seems to be sick and hospitalised. The playground for children was not redecorated since decades and must be payed seperately (e.g. 2€ for the carousel from the 70s). This place is unbelievable and a visit is not recommenable!

Castello Aragonese is the highlight of Ortona, Italy. The castle is well-maintained and offers stunning views of the Adriatic Sea from every direction. Visitors can explore the old castle walls for free and enjoy a peaceful atmosphere with fresh air. Additionally, there are stairs leading down to the sea where a walking and biking path along the coast can be found.
We were pleasantly surprised to find out the gate is wide open and it’s free to visit. Came here around 4 in the afternoon on a Sunday and we were the only ones there. The castle is well maintained, lights up at night and has amazing views from every direction. A must see if you’re in Ortona!

The Castle of Roccascalegna is a magnificent fortress situated on precipitous rocks, boasting remarkable tours of courtyards, watchtowers, and defensive walls. Looks really dramatic from below and on any of the roads entering the town.
Only 4euro to enter and a lot of restoration has taken place so everything is looking authentic.
The steps up are from the middle ages and are worn, so anyone with walking difficulties could struggle.

This is the most famous and frequenter square in Pescara and you will love to take a walk with your friends or with your family here. Furthermore, this is the place where more frequently the most important events are organised, for example concerts and representations. The floor is clean and around the square there are restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy a good meal.

The Natural Park Majella offers an exciting adventure for all ages with canopy obstacle courses, hiking and biking trails amongst mountains and pastoral landscapes. Visitors can explore secluded Hermitages and medieval castles without crowds of tourists. The park provides safe tree-based activities suitable for children 5 years old and above. It's a beautiful natural experience that anyone who loves the outdoors will enjoy.
Great fun! Or 5yr old loved it, our 2yr old less so. Also has great trails for the adventurous adults!

Nice park with friendly staff. It’s good to make reservations of you want to avoid the risk of waiting time.
Make sure you wear proper clothing. Otherwise you can rent clothing at the park.
Enough different levels to make everyone happy but not the most creative where it comes to the obstacles.
Picknick area is available, dogs are welcome.

If you like hiking and the outdoors you'll love this park. Filled with mountains and pastoral trails. Hiked it many times and I always want to go back. There are many Hermitages in isolated areas of the mountains to visit many if which are not inundated with tourists. And there are several medieval castles to visit.

Pause for a long time in front of the entrance to the Abbey, look up, observe and enjoy all the intellectual and aesthetic pleasure that the symbolic historical relief of the architrave and lunette populated with characters and other exquisite elements can give Italian gothic workmanship. Then walk through the space inside, let yourself be enchanted by the vitality of the stone carved with more and less blooming flowers on the beautiful pulpit, and by the Easter candelabra, then proceed up to the altar and finally make all the considerations that arise when faced with the evidence of the restoration interventions.

Sulmona, a charming comune in the province of L'Aquila, is nestled in the picturesque Valle Peligna of Abruzzo, Italy. Once a site of a vanished prehistoric lake, Sulmona now boasts quaint cafes and a stunning cathedral. The town's beautiful piazza features an arched aqueduct and fountain set against a backdrop of snow-capped mountains.
Museo Confetti Pelino, located just outside Sulmona, is a celebration of the history and production of the town's famous confetti. It is home to the oldest confetti company in Sulmona. Visitors can tour the facility and explore its museum, which offers insight into how the Pelino company started. The large retail store on-site provides various options for purchasing confetti, making it a great place to find unique gifts.
Great way to spend 45 minutes. Don't miss the short film on the top floor. It's better than our last visit in 2007. And it's free!

We toured this facility and we enjoyed it. No free samples though, thus 4 stars. We bought some candy and yes it was delish. They have a large retail store with all kinds of options. Great for gifts. Easy free parking. Free tour at all hours just let receptionist know what language you need the film in.
Alba Grillo — Google review
It's a quick, free, visit. You see some old devices for making the candy, some pictures of celebrities, lots of certificates of sorts. It's kind of neat, and definitely part of the history of the town, but nothing too exciting.
The selection of confetti felt like less than from the shops in the pedestrian zone, but it was neat seeing some of the custom orders.
Basically, moderately interesting, but I wouldn't pay, or wait, to see it.

Fantastic experience!!! Canoeing on Tirino river was the perfect choice for our holiday. The Bosso team was very organised, we booked over the phone and payed by card on the day. Our friendly local guide Marco spoke English fluently and was exceptionally skilled. He gave us a detailed introduction to the history of the magical places sorrounding the area of the excursion and took some amazing pics for us! This is a must if you are looking to immerse yourself in nature and make the most of Abruzzo!

Amazing time with Il Bosso. We did both the canoe on the Tirino river and the bike tour the following day. Two different ways to live and breathe a wonderful place. The guides from Il bosso were very knowledgeable about any detail of the place from nature to local history. I strongly reccomend a stop here and a lunch at the ecoristoro!

We took 2 canoes on the river. The experience was fantastic and our guide was very helpful and kind.
A couple of things to improve: 1. please send the guests directly to the starting point, instead of saying "follow the black smart car" and create a line of 10 cars on public roads trying to follow your car. Everybody has a GPS today and the start location is easy to find. 2. So much attention to social distancing, and then all canoes of 10+ groups were packed together to listed to the guy talking about the river... we booked the experience to be on the river far from others. Make it optional, if you feel the need to talk about it.

Josephine Cabuga (Dadak) — Google review
We took the riverside walk first (to the left from the entrance) which was nice but underwhelming considering what we've heard. The 'geological hike', path nr. 18 that goes past the visitor center is much nicer. It's a bit harder than the riverside path, but never steep for long. Only after half an hour or so the path gets steep for quite a while. It's a nice challenge in itself but it ends at the main road, so if you're not too keen on climbing you can skip it and enjoy the return walk to the visitor center. Helpful?

Very nice waterpark in Cassino, nice to have something that isn’t just an olympic swimmimg pool.
Its located pretty close to the city, so getting there if you’re staying in a hotel isn’t too difficult. Walking is also an option but the sidewalk is rather narrow and not too high so it’s a little unsafe.
Plenty of parking, and the entrance is not too big, but does the job. At the entrance usually you’ll need to wait 1-4 minutes but it’s always a short wait. There is also another entrance to the olympic swimming pool, but in the summer that entrance does not grant you access to the water park.
The slides are nice, and the water is clean. There is always space and beds near the pool, and the staff are super nice and friendly. Most staff are just 15-20 year olds so they’re very “relatable”, in a way.
The bar is also very modern, and the catalog is nice. However some prices are a bit exaggerated, so a packed lunch is recommended. Plenty of benches outside the bar mean you’ll always have somewhere to eat.
The changing rooms and toilets are very well kept, and always clean. There’s plenty of toilets around the grounds, and also disabled toilets.
They also have some astroturf football fields, which are roofed and are open to the public. However there’s also real grass and seating around the park too.
Hawaii park does have it’s own summer campus, where you pay only for the days you attend and you get to have football competitions. Some external campuses like “Oratorio Don Bosco” also visit Hawaii park during the week (in 2023 it was Tuesday and Thursday), and they use the astroturfs and benches too.
The only real flaw is that after around an hour you run out of slides to do, so I recommend taking your time and not rushing everything, or you’ll find yourself doing nothing for the rest of the day and wasting your money.
4.5 stars in general

The park is very green, shaded areas everywhere and is very clean and well maintained.

Rocca Calascio is an ancient stone fortress that dates back around a millennium, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. To access this beautiful ruin and church, visitors must traverse an uneven path that can be slippery at times. The climb requires good shoes and some scrambling over rocks which may be challenging for those with walking difficulties. However, it's well worth the effort to experience this stunning location that is not overcrowded even in late October.

Very stunning castle ruin ,even the drive up the mountain was incredible. You can't drive right up to the castle, you either have to walk the 4 kms to it or take a bus from the village below. It costs 4 euros roundtrip per person. Some of the paths around the ruins might be a bit tricky for some people. The old Borgo close to the castle has several places to eat or have a drink plus some gift type shops.

A must see if you're in the area. Stunning 360 view of the mountains and valleys around, and of course the impressive fort and stone building around.
It's a short hike up the hill from the highest parking lot, so don't be afraid to drive up the narrow (asphalt road, not dirt).
On the way up you can also walk around the ancient village and enjoy some bars and restaurants, however most places seem closed or deserted.

It is located at the beginning of Via Borgo Rivera, close to Porta Rivera.
In front of this fountain, there are the church of San Vito Alla Rivera, and the museum MUNDA.

Beautiful medieval fountain on a little square. It is a symbol of L'Aquila city. The sound of the water feels refreshing in the hot summer days.

Very cool ancient fountain decorated with 99 faces likely of city residents at the time. An ancient Roman artifact in the heart of L'Aquila.

At the bottom of the town this fountain requires either a steep climb down or a steep climb back up.
A unique structure which draws the tourists.

Interesting “negative space” … but walking there is not pleasant, and parking nearby is a real problem. Either park on the ST615 (one way, fairly wide, not to much traffic…), or just drive down the fairly steep via XX Settembre and via Borgo Rivera. There is some parking close to the fountain, or room to just pull over at the fountain.

A bit of a drive, but worth it to walk around the ancient ruins for free. Parking is next to it, and also free. There is a paved ancient straight path, which is perpendicular to the path down to the major ruin, actually leads to the cool looking round theater. With a look. But the fog was moving in, so we didn't get to go.

It's amazing place and by watching that view you can travel in time for history! This country is full of ancient places, you feel different when you are in this area! I hope i was visiting in summer time for seeing some events and happening there, if you live any part of the world you should travel to Italy and thier ancient places! Clean air and natural weather, imagine I went in winter and weather was still nice! We had fun with my friends running around that place

Alba Fucens a hidden Gem in the centre of Italy
Alba Fucens, abruzzo is an ancient Roman colony founded in the 4th century BC in the territory of the Equi, near the border with the Marsi. It is located on a hill at the foot of Mount Velino, overlooking the former Lake Fucino, in the present-day province of L’Aquila. Alba Fucens is one of the most interesting and lesser-known archaeological sites in Italy, as it preserves the remains of a well-planned and fortified city, with impressive monuments and artworks that testify to the cultural and historical diversity of the region.
A remarkable example of this is the polygonal walls, which enclose the city on three sides and are made of large blocks of limestone fitted together without concrete. They date back to the 4th century BC and are considered a masterpiece of ancient engineering, also visible from highways and on internet maps.
Abruzzo and alba fucens itself, is a hidden gem of ancient history that deserves more attention and recognition. It is a place where the past and the present meet, and where the visitors can experience the beauty and richness of the Italian culture. I recommend that further steps or actions be taken to achieve these goals of enhance the visibility and attractiveness of Alba Fucens, will be stress on internationally visibility as a unique and remarkable destination, by improving the infrastructure and facilities, creating more educational and cultural programs, developing more partnerships and collaborations, and launching more marketing and media campaigns.

This is a small but very interesting archaeological site. A Roman city, full of very well preserved looks at the life of the time.
With temples, baths and arena.
The small museum offers free of charge, maps and a bit of insight to the ancient and modern history of the town, both in English and Italian.

Very interesting, layered history. Could benefit from a guide book as signage is sparse and faded. Pleasant little town for refreshment.

Very well preserved ruins. You can really get a sense of what it was like to live there. Great place for kids to run around.

Loved being able to roam freely around a major ancient city, but read about it before you go because there are not many informational signs. (For the few signs there are it helps to be able to read Italian.) Don't miss the church built on an old temple to Apollo.

Free to visit site with Roman archeological ruins, and pre-Roman stone walls. The polygonal stone walls were of interest since they had been built well before the Romans appearance. This type of megalithic building has been found in Egypt, Peru, and Europe. Was this technology shared around the world 3,000-5,000 years ago, or did they all come up with it on their own?

We had an AMAZING experience touring the ruins with the help of the incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and affable Romolo! From what I understand, tours tend to start from the tourist office once there are people there who would like a tour (eg they’re not at a set time). I would strongly recommend calling to either confirm how to get a tour and/or showing up to the tourist office to ask how to get a tour - there are things like 2,000 year old graffiti (!) that you just wouldn’t be able to see or find without a guide. The tour lasted about 1.5 hours (I think). If not already evident, my family and friends and I all loved Romolo and were very grateful for his English tour (even though he insists that his English isn’t very good - it’s great!).
(Translated by Google) My trusted bookstore for eighteen years :) I was just a teenager and now I go to buy books and manga for my sister, gifts for my friends and wonderful bookmarks. Friendly and familiar atmosphere, a more than pleasant welcome, you can always have a chat with the family who runs the bookshop, they work all day and are the most honest and friendly people I have ever met in a bookshop. :)

(Translated by Google) Best bookstore I've ever been to. The owners make you feel at home every time you visit them. It's a pleasure to discover the books on the shelves of this two-story bookshop! The staff is always very kind, friendly and helpful. They make themselves available both to recommend a good book and to answer your questions or to order a volume that you haven't found. Every time going to them is a treat. Very competent also in case of events/meetings with the authors. Very well stocked library, not just with books. Super recommended!

Super consigliata!
