Beautiful Lord Shiva Temple ❤️
It is located on top of mountain. You will have to climb around 400+ steps. They are not difficult to climb. There is shop lane on side until you reach the top. There are chairs placed in front of shops where you can rest a bit while climbing and you will not even know you already reached the top.
There is beautiful waterfall beside temple and staircase is there to go down and watch the view.
There are monkeys around, you can buy them snacks 😄
Parking available.
Washroom available.
Weekends are crowded but manageable.
Lunch and snacks options available.
There is shop named Prashant Pranil in the lane at base of temple. The shop owner has small hotel( almost like small house) 5-10 min away (by car) from temple with same name where you can get freshly cooked homemade meal. We had garam garam Zunka and Bhakri. It was yummy.

In the state of Maharashtra, there is a small taluka called Sangameshwar in Ratnagiri district. Marleshwar is a famous place of Shiva at a distance of 16 km from Devrukh village in the same taluk. This Shivsthan is in a cave on a mountain. There are two Shivpindis in this cave, one of which is known as Mallikarjuna and the other is known as Marleshwar. It is said that these two are brothers and Mallikarjuna is the elder brother. The cave is inhabited by snakes and snakes. But they do not harm anyone.
Parvati was not here when this place was created. And so it is the practice of this temple that Shiva and Parvati get married here every Makar Sankranti. 'Marleshwar' is the groom and Sakharpa village ‘Girijadevi' is considered as the bride and marriage is arranged. From Sakharpya, 'Girijaidevi' goes in a palanquin from Maral village to Marleshwar. This wedding ceremony is performed in Lingayat style. These Shiva Pindi are Swayambhu. Yatra is held at this place on two days, the day before Makar Sankranti and Sankranti.
For this ceremony, people from the surrounding areas walk to see Mareshwar. After going to Marleshwar, first take a bath under the waterfall and then visit Marleshwar. Located in a small cave away from the village, this place is surrounded by beautiful scenery and green forest. There are high mountains on all three sides. One of the attractions of this place is the waterfall that flows here. Falling from a height of about 200 feet, this waterfall is known as 'Dhareshwar'.
It is said that this waterfall receives a total of twelve smaller waterfalls. From the bank of Sahyadri, this waterfall starts flowing as Bavandi. Bathing under this waterfall in the month of Magh is considered very sacred.

Fact: Sangli fort is not actually a fort these days. It used to be a fort. Currently, this area is occupied by some govt offices and residential buildings/houses. Of course there are some historical old buildings. Some are turned in govt offices or some are to not-in-use jails. Tahsildar office and police offices are also there.
The sangli fort is very much near to sangli bus stand. You can go by car as well.
No single step to climb.
I would suggest 2 things to watch if you visit this fort area. One is Beautiful Darbar (hall), which has a divine Ganesh temple in it. It's calm and clean. The other is the museum (10 Rs ticket for adults, 1 Rs for below 13 age) Must go if nearby. It's really beautiful.
Kaivalya Dalvi — Google review
It's not a fort anymore, feeling sad the government took over the place and converted to various administrative offices, we Indians really don't respect our past.

The fort of Sangli is an ancient fort situated in the centre of Sangli Town. Presently, this fort has been turned into a revenue and collector's office and also houses a Marathi school. The palace of Rajwada and a museum also form a part of the present day structure of Sangli Fort. The court of Sangli District is located opposite to the fort.
Hrushikesh Kholkumbe — Google review
Presently there is no fort, only a huge boundary Wall, Inside the Fort there is An old Ganesh Mandir and a small museum, 99% of the Fort was occupied by private villas, apartments and few government offices.
RENISH KARTHIKEYAN — Google review
Actually first of all it is not a fort at all. Fort is just a misnomer for this and that's why I gave only 4 star . Yeah, there is a museum which is really mesmerising and just for 10 rs , you can stay there as long as u want. Behind that museum there is Darbaar Hall, which is a temple and also a great symbol of beautiful architecture . I personally loved the museum. There is a government office behind. The museum opens after 10:30am and ya, dont touch anything in the museum and you are also not allowed to click the pictures inside the museum and darbaar hall too.

It's a place to find solace , calm , peace of mind and the God of wisdom, Ganpatibappa is also known as Wighnaharta, i.e., the one who destroys all your worries. Just go and find your solace.

Ganapati Temple is regarded as the most beautiful temple in south Maharashtra. It is situated on the banks of river Krishna at Sangli. Thorle (elder) Chintamanrao Patwardhan consecrated the idol in 1843.
The temple has been artistically built with black stone brought from Jyotibha hills. There is a platform, a hall and a 'Nagarkhana' inside the vast two acres complex of the temple. The entrance door has been carved out of different coloured natural wood.
The idol of the Lord Ganapati is made of copper. The idol has been kept in a way that it is visible from any part of Ganapati Peth. It looks so beautiful when the silvery rays of evening sun brighten the face of the Ganapati idol.
Ganapati festival is celebrated with great religious fervour for five days from Bhadrapad Shuddha Chaturthi.
Sangli is well connected by air, train and road. Dharamshalas and small budgeted hotels at Sangli are available for accommodation.

The park spreads along the crest of the Sahyadri Range of the northern Western Ghats. It forms and protects many perennial water channels, water holes and the Vasant Sagar Reservoir. Elevation of the park ranges from 589–1,044 m (1,932–3,425 ft).[5] The park receives its water supply from the Warna river and reservoir as well as several other small streams and rivers. Flat topped mountains, rocky, lateritic plateaus called 'Saddas', almost devoid of vegetation, large boulders and caves are distinctive to the protected areas in the Sahyadri region of the Western Ghats.[citation needed]

One of the most amazing views in the region - lake/dam + valley views on one side, farmland views on the other.
There's also a temple here and many small shops selling drinks and souvenirs. A must-visit (a bit of a detour though) if you are in the Mahabaleshwar area.

Maharashtra's famous saint Shree Samarth Ramdas swami stayed here. His samadhi is also on this fort. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj would take his guidance. Samarth is founder of many Hanuman temples all over Maharashtra. There are 135 steps to be climbed. On the way u get fresh buttermilk stalls. And you get to see replica of 11 hanuman murti templeshe founded. Free food is served between 12-1

It's good but it's more for spiritual person and not one who comes for enjoyment. There's a small village settled on the fort. You need to climb almost 265 stairs and reach at top. Where you will find samadhi of Shri Samarth Ramdas Swami. That's it !

A very good spiritual come historical place everyone must visit!
As there is a some distance to climb the fort, it would be beneficial to reach there before the sun on head.
Ramdas Swami Sansthan has a great arrangement of Mahaprasad for the devotees coming every afternoon between 12:30PM to 01:30PM
BhaktaNivas of Sansthan provides free and good accommodation facilities to devotees
The fort has idols of eleven Maruti installed by Samarth RamdasThe forest on the fort, the natural structure, the panoramic view of the Urmodi Dam from the back of the fort and the natural rock formations add to the beauty of the fort.Due to the high altitude and lack of medical facilities, it is not advisable to take senior citizens along. The gates of the fort close at 9 pm and are not opened after that till next morning .

Visited this sacred place of Shri Ramdas Swami.. it's devine experience, Prasad during noon time is must have.
Even in this hot summer the environment there seems cool or lighter but only inside premises. Had been here before, but now they have made many changes for pilgrims.
You can stay here and participate in daily rituals that are followed by their disciples.
There are local shops for having butter milk and sharbat while climbing the steps towards the temple to keep you going.
Overall nice experience, would recommend to visit after rains to enjoy the nature and his devine presence .. Jay Jay raghuveer samarth.

This is the fort where samarth Ramdas Swami resided on request of Shivaji Maharaj and then had his samadhi here. Located just 15 km from satara city one can easily reach the fort's base Village Parli.
One has to climb around 100 steps to reach the main entrance of the fort. On this way one can witness 11 maruti idols which were cemented by Ramdas Swami. There are a lot of facilities provided by the trust on the fort like bhakt nivas , drinking water and much more. One must have darshan of samadhi of Ramdas Swami and the Ram mandir. Also having the mahaprasad is a must. The atmosphere is very pleasant and one attains mental peace having Prasad under the trees. There's another maruti temple at the end of the fort. A must visit place near Satara.

Very good view from the back of the temple. There is smadhi sathal of Guru Samarth
Seen lot of people doing evening walk at top of hill. It can be further maintained to become a top attraction in the area. There are about 200 stairs to reach the top of hill but stairs are very easy to climb. There is hand made palki facility for old people also, but not seen any usage. So not sure about it. It is worth to visit this place even if you are not religious people.

One of the state government museums, focused on art history- paintings and sculptures, this museum offers a different experience compared to other museums. The museum houses large and miniature format paintings from 19th-20th century paintings collected under the patronage of Balasaheb Pant Pratinidhi of the Aundh princely state. The museum could have better lighting and ventilation though.

A temple that has a great history and follows a tradition which is centuries old, and that tradition is offering the golden magical powder (Turmeric) to Lord Khandoba and all the deities present with in the temple. Turmeric powder is - thrown in the air, applied to statues, and even given as offerings.
Khandoba is an avatar of Shiv Ji. The folklore says that there were two demon brothers who wreaked havoc amongst the villagers. Lord Khandoba killed one the of demon and spared life of the other when he promised to serve the rest of his life for social causes and helping the common man.
We went here on a Sunday, due to which it was very crowded. The free Darshana of Lord Khandoba takes around 3 hours while standing in queue for one’s turn. The queue moves in a serpentine manner with a snails pace. We avoided the queue and went for the express passes which is for ₹.100/- per person. It cuts the queue for you but even then you get to have darshan for merely 4-5 seconds and then they will push you to exit quickly.
I personally don’t like to visit temples with such massive unmanageable crowds and that demand to pay to enter the temple and have Darshan for 5 seconds. But since we have no choice we tend to pay them. An unhealthy business oriented environment that has been cropped up in most of our temples now a days. Also be aware of people who will lure you to perform any random Pooja and ultimately will ask for payments for the same.
Nevertheless, the temple has a beautiful history and good old traditions attached to it that should not be missed. Go on weekdays if possible to properly witness the serene environment of the temple.

A famous temple of Lord Khandoba in Jejuri town, Maharashtra. 🙏 You have to climb 200 steps to reach the temple. Not very difficult though, provides amazing views of Jejuri village and Saswad district and Dive ghat too...temple itself is a vibrant and full of energy.
it is around 50 kms from Pune, the nearest big city. Jejuri has its own railway station on Pune Kolhapur route. Pune is connected with air, rail, road to the rest of India. It will be a day visit to this from Pune.
Lord Khandoba, an avatar of Shiva is the most popular Kuldaivat, family deity (कुलदैवत ) in Maharashtra. My family also follow Him as Kuldaivat. People use Turmeric (Bhandara) to worship. Also devotees offer navas, a vow in exchange to achieve the desired goals. Some of them are very hard to follow.
Most interesting part I like is 'Gondhal (गोंधळ); performed by a group of devotees called "Gondhalis" (गोंधळी) as a regular ritual in a number of household ceremonies. Devotees from all over the Maharashtra visit for the blessings. Very divine place full of energy.
According to legend, two demons, Malla and Mani, were upsetting the Earth and worrying the sages. When Indra and Vishnu recognized their incompetence, the Sages begged Shiva for assistance. Shiva assumed the guise of Khandoba, rode Nandi (the bull), and led his army into battle against demons. His avatar is described as having a third eye with a semi-circular moon on the forehead and a turmeric-covered torso. Khandoba ultimately slew the demons after a hard battle.
Mani begged for forgiveness by immolating his white horse in front of him. He requested to be present in every temple in Khandoba and was served goat flesh by the people. Shiva fulfilled his wish and turned him into a demon. What if Khandoba called for the destruction of the earth and human flesh, Malla wondered? Khandoba became so enraged that he quickly decapitated Malla, who fell at the shrine's stairs and was crushed by the devotees' feet.
The temple was constructed around 1608 AD. Ragho Mambaji, a Maratha chieftain, finished the central mandap and other elements in 1637 AD. The Holkar emperors constructed the outer chambers and other areas. Tukoji Holkar assisted in the completion of the tank and battlefield around 1770 AD

***Sonyachi Jejuri***
This temple is ancient and dedicated to the avatars of Shiva called "Khandoba". Here the entire temple area has dipped in yellow turmeric because that is the main ingredient you give as an offering along with coconut to the lord Khandoba.
It is better if you dress in yellow and visit this place. Vehicles can go up to the last point from where the temple complex steps start. It has 400+ very steep steps to climb.
It is a kuldaivat (Family traditionally oriented god) of many in Maharashtra and nearby states too.
Very divine experience as you can take Tali bhandar (Thanking God and keep bless us prayer) 🙏 over in temple premises. Only if the local authorities can keep this place more clean. and organized (without bribe under name of god).
Tip:
Try to go on weekdays so that you will get darshan of god.
Try to avoid darshan through agents.
Keep water bottle with you. Keep on chanting yelkot yelkot Jay Malhar (येळकोट येळकोट जय मल्हार)🙏 this will definitely give you strength to walk on. Believe me when you will enter from mahadwar (महाद्वार) you will forget what and how you reached their.
Do not forget to offer abhishek to god along with Jagar-Gondhal and Tali-Bhandara. Within ₹3500-4000/- all these pujas will be completed

The temple is dedicated to Khandoba, also known as Mhalsakant or Malhari Martand or Mylaralinga. Khandoba is regarded as the 'God of Jejuri' and is held in great reverence by the Dhangars. The temple was the site of a historic treaty between Tarabai and Balaji Bajirao on 14 September 1752.
Every Somavati Amavasya (new moon that falls on a Monday), devotees of Khandoba gather at the Jejuri temple with tonnes of turmeric, smearing it on each other and throwing it around amid energetic singing and dancing. The temple-town is known as ‘Sonyachi Jejuri’ (golden Jejuri) because of this colourful celebration.
Its unique architecture and cultural importance make it a must-visit for those interested in spiritual exploration and the rich heritage of Maharashtra.

Jejuri Khandoba Temple is a cultural gem nestled in the scenic hills of Jejuri. This sacred destination combines spirituality and architecture seamlessly. The temple's vibrant atmosphere, adorned with orange flags and lively rituals, creates a unique religious experience. The climb to the temple, though steep, is a spiritual journey in itself. The deity, Lord Khandoba, is revered with fervor, and the temple's design reflects a harmonious blend of tradition and craftsmanship. Visiting Jejuri Khandoba Temple offers not only a religious connection but also a cultural immersion, making it a noteworthy destination for those seeking a blend of divinity and history.
The architecture of Jejuri Khandoba Temple is a testament to traditional Indian temple design. The temple showcases a distinctive Hemadpanthi style, characterized by intricately carved stone structures and pillars. The entrance, or 'Mahadwar,' welcomes visitors with a grandeur that sets the tone for the spiritual journey within.
The sanctum sanctorum, housing the idol of Lord Khandoba, features a classic Garbhagriha design, emphasizing the deity's divine presence. The outer walls of the temple are adorned with detailed carvings depicting mythological scenes, adding an artistic dimension to the religious ambiance.
One notable aspect is the use of locally sourced stone, contributing to the temple's rustic charm. The temple's overall layout encourages a circular path, symbolizing a symbolic circumambulation or 'Pradakshina.'
The vibrant orange flags that adorn the temple complex not only add a burst of color but also signify devotion and energy. This architectural marvel at Jejuri Khandoba Temple not only serves as a place of worship but also as a cultural heritage site, inviting visitors to appreciate the fusion of art, spirituality, and history.

Situated in an idyllic location, surrounded by rolling hills and two rivers, this temple is said to hv been built between 10-12 century and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Built in black stone, you will see a beautiful Nandi located at the entrance. These places make us proud....but the upkeep could really be looked into. It's serene n peaceful.

Sangam (संगम) means Confluence.
This is a Mahadev Mandir named as Sangameshwar (संगमेश्वर) because it is beautifully situated at the Confluence of two rivers.
The temple area is so calm, peaceful, beautiful, and scenic. One can find peace over here.
Most importantly well maintained and clean so must visit this place and maintain its above said qualities.

Om Namah Shivay! This place is good to spend an hour or so. The view from the bridge is not what it looks like in photos 😶. Better go in Monsoon Season or early morning for the best experience. Most importantly, I didn't find clean water in the Mandir to wash my hands before darshan. Had to wash it from the stream which is filthy, so that doesn't make sense.

A very well built and preserved old temple of Lord Shiva in Saswad, Pune. Along with the temple this place is a nice location for photoshoots as well. A small and narrow section of bhima river goes alongside the temple which enhances it's natural beauty as well.

Beautiful piece of architecture. The restoration work has been done superbly. It would be great if the water bodies on both sides of the temple is also cleaned.

Very beautiful architecture and great location of sangam (where two rivers meet). Very less people around.
Could be maintained better to give a truly divine experience to the visitors.
Excavation work and repairs were going on in and around the temple which hopefully will improve the aesthetics and hygiene.
Free parking at entrance for 3-4 cars and few bikes.
From the parking, an iron bridge leads to the temple. Few meters of steep steps to reach the temple. Few more small temples around with really beautiful architecture.
No civic amenities in few hundred meters.
Show stand is not manned and make you nervous.

Shree Moreshwar temple is one among the Ashtavinayak Ganpati. Very Peaceful and Devine place to visit.
Darshan line is covered well & look is given as ancient, it's made of wood, so in hot season also it doesn't really bother to stay in line for some time. Darshan happens within half hour, nobody pushes you and make hurry to go ahead in queue.
There's nearby parking provision on paid basis. It's approximately 18 km from Jejuri, by road its hardly 20 minutes.
You can devote some money for things to be maintained in good conditions. There's अन्नछत्र / महाप्रसाद provision from 12 to 2 pm and the food is very good.

Shri Mayureshwar (or Moreshwar) Ganpati temple is one of the Ashtavinayakas (Eight sacred Ganapati temples) in Maharashtra. It is located in Morgaon Village in the Pune District of Maharashtra state. It is around 70 kilometers via Jejuri-Morgaon-Baramati Road and Saswad – Bopdev – Pune Road.
Mayureshwar Ganpati Temple is an important temple. It marks the beginning and end of the Ashtavinayak Yatra. It means that devotees should start the journey from Morgaon, and at the end, they need to visit the same place. The temple flourished during the rule of Peshwas, and it was blessed with the presence of Moraya Gosavi.
As mentioned before, Mayureshwar Ganpati Temple is located at a very convenient distance. Since the place is very well connected to Pune, which in turn connects to all major cities in India, therefore, you can easily reach there. The distance between Pune and Morgaon is 70 kilometres.
You have to pay for private parking without any bill or receipt. Also you can purchase Prasad and har at so many stores front of temple.
History Of Mayureshwar Ganpati Temple
There is a legend associated with the temple. It says that Bhagwan Ganesha was born to Parvati in the Treta Yuga in the caves of a place called Lenyadri. Bhagwan took the form of a fair Mayureshwar, who had six arms and was riding a peacock.
The young Ganesha was fond of climbing trees. One day, he accidentally knocked off an egg, from which a peacock emerged. Therefore, this Ganesha idol is seen riding a peacock. Therefore, he is called ‘Mayureshwar.’ After finishing the task of slaying the demon, Bhagwan Ganesh offered his Vahan peacock to his brother Bhagwan Kartikeya.
Morgaon Ganpati temple is in a picturesque location, and its architecture is also very impressive. Spread over a wide area, it offers a very beautiful view to the devotees.
Mayureshwar temple morgaon temple opens at 5:00 AM in the morning and remains open till 10:00 PM. The morning hours for darshan are 5:00 AM to 12:00 PM. In the evening, devotees can take Darshan between 3:00 PM and 10:00 PM.

You can reach this place by road which is most convenient, it's surrounded by highways

It's a Hindu religious place from shree Ashtvinayak Ganpati. The temple area and nearby places are too good. If you're living in Pune then you can visit this place at any time it might require half of the day. I suggest you visit this temple if possible on weekdays to avoid crowd. I advise you to explore market of this area you will definitely found amazing metal idols of Hindu God. Even you can found amazing home decorative items but you should have to bargain with them properly because if you're not good in bargaining then they will definitely ask for more money.
The only thing I didn't like about this place was that they charge ₹50 for parking of our vehicle.
If you're staying there, there are lots of options available like Bhakatnivas of Mandir trust and even lots of hotels are there for lodging. I don't have any idea but charges of staying there.
You can also visit Jejuri which is about 17-18 far from it while going towards Pune.
The best season to visit is the end of the month of may and the starting month of June.
About Road- The roads are too good to drive. Roads are well maintained.

The way to go to the main temple was very confusing.
After you are done with the darshan, to pick your slippers, you have to go through the security part again and then come back extra.
There is a park in the premises which is nice for kids or families to sit and relax.
On the outskirts, you have a market to buy local stuff like vegetables, eatables etc.

We visited the place after 7pm. Just a day before Ram mandir inauguration. There was no crowd. But the entire temple was busy with decorations for the following day. It was nice to watch the preparations. However , coming to Lord Ganapathi ,one cannot take eyes off this Lord, I found it simple yet mesmerizing. It's premises has beautiful paintings narrating the tales of Ganapathi.

One of the lord ganpati in the list of ashtavinayak temples. Maha means big. Many people visit daily. It's situated just near the Pune-Nagar highway so no extra travel is required to reach the temple. Huge parking area but it's paid. A huge entrance area and structure will be identified from the main road. One extra building is added just to manage the crowd. They allow us to skip lanes by paying Rs.100 per person, this is little convenient for rich people. Not a good posture in the temple all should be treated the same. Some of the stone structure and pictorial things made. But disappointed with the management when they are not allowing them to see them and see other things like the garden and entrance part of the main temple. The temple has a big history but manageable is not up to mark. Must visit place with your family members and friends. Avoid the weekend to avoid the rush.
AMIT SAKHARE — Google review
It is a really old and special place dedicated to Lord Ganpati. It's located in a small village and has been around for a long, long time. This temple is so cool that it's even been featured in some Marathi movies!
As one of the Ashtavinayak temples dedicated to Lord Ganpati, Mahaganapati Temple holds a special place in the hearts of devotees. The temple itself is super impressive, with lots of cool carvings and symbols on the walls. When you go inside, you feel really calm and peaceful, like Ganpati's watching over you.
People come to Mahaganapati Temple to pray to Lord Ganpati and ask for his blessings. It's a really important place for them, and you can feel the love and devotion in the air.
Visiting Mahaganapati Temple isn't just about saying prayers; it's also about feeling connected to something special and taking a moment to think quietly. It's a place where you can find peace and feel close to Ganpati.

Nighoj is a tiny village between the Kukadi and Ghod rivers, about 90km from Pune. We had read about the naturally made ‘potholes’ in the small gorges of the river Kukadi, called Nighoj Kund.
Just ask anyone for directions to the Nighoj Kund, and they will be able to point.

It is nice temple of Malganga Devi situated close to Nighoj potholes point. It is approx. 80kms from Pune and Road conditions are Ok. You can enjoy snacks and juices.

It offers stunning views of the surrounding city and is well-maintained, making it an ideal spot for exploration. Ahmednagar Fort also known as Kot Bagh Nizam is one of the oldest forts of India. Built in the 16th century, the fort standing for over 400 years now, is having the most enticing history of all times. It was the Royal residence and Administrative Centre of Nizam Shahi Dynasty from 1490 AD. It was initially built-in 1490 AD by Ahmed Nizam Shah and rebuilt with the present stone masonry with the moat around in 1553 to 1565 by Hussein Nizam Shah.
This fort is oval in form, 1.70 km in circumference and is strengthened by 24 bastions. Originally it had two entrances, one on the West side for wheeled traffic and other on the East side for foot passengers in the form of sally port and suspension bridge. These were closed and the present entrance was constructed by British during 1943 by breaking the Fort wall and filling the portion of the moat. It is peculiarly well planned and strong built fort with stone walls rising about 30 feet from the bottom of the moat. Although lying on comparatively low ground yet it cannot be spotted within a large distance. Portuguese are said to have helped to build this fort. First Prime Minister of free India, Pandit Nehru wrote Discovery of India when he was imprisoned in this fort here in 1944. Leaders rooms are still alive inside the fort, where leaders of freedom struggle were imprisoned from 1942 45. Although, the Indian army occupies the fort, entry into the fort is allowed by signing at the gate.

It is a place of huge historical significance like many important leaders loke patel, nehru etc were imprisoned here after 1942 Quit India Movement. But its not at all maintained properly. Presently under Army administration. When i went (june, 2022) it was closed (officially not opened after corona), but still they agreed to see as we were coming from far.

Had the opportunity to visit fort and witness the historic architecture of it.
Visit leaders block where pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and other freedom fighters were kept in prison.
I was awestruck by the vibe of the place.
In this prison itself pandit ji wrote Discovery of India and other great works with the help of other intellectual minds.

Best with a view of ancient Architecture. This fort is under Army for rest of the whole year and only opens for public on 26th January and 15th August. So there is lot of rush on this 2 days. But one of the sad truth is while it's under the control of Army there is no steps taken to preserve this monument. There were lots of wild bush everywhere. They need to cut this down so the monument will be safer for our next generation. This fort is known for its Fortification it's a marvelous structure made by Nijam shah. Whenever you vist this place, Please don't spred your garbage here keep it in your bags or throw it in dust bin. Save the monument for our future.

This is over 500 years old fort. It's now open to see it , just that we need to keep our id card at the entrance and need to pick it up once you are done. Octagonal Palace is a nice architectural monument. Leaders block is a place where many of the freedom fighters were prisoned from 1942- 1945. Our first prime minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru wrote his famous book Discovery of India in this prison. They have many self explanatory boards. One can walk on the walls of the fort. It's nice panoramic view. Very quite place.
Manasi Holehonnur — Google review
The fort was built during A.D. 1553 to A.D. 1565. The fort has 24 bastions, one large gate and some other gates. The fort has seen many handovers of powers from Nizams to Mughals to Peshwa and to British emperors finally coming under regulation of India post independence.
This is very strong fort on ground and was difficult to conquer in the history. It is quite large and some area can be seen by general public as rest of the area is army camp. During Aug 1942 to April 1945, Indian political leaders were kept as interns of this fort which was converted to British jail that time.. View from fort wall is very nice. Feel very proud to see big tricolor flag on the wall ! You can go to tank museum which is nearby (approx 3 km from fort)

Mashid also available to see for public other all area is under army. It is opening for public on independence day and republic Day only.
It's 2~3 km away from mali wada bus stand.

Shani Shingnapur or Shani Shinganapur or Shingnapur is a village in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Situated in Nevasa Taluka in Ahmednagar district, the village is known for its popular temple of Shani, the Hindu god associated with the planet Saturn. The village is 35 kilometres from the city of Ahmednagar. Wikipedia.
One of the famous place in Maharashtra and historically and spirituality also. because here no door and lock even in shop also. People from here they believe that nothing will happen here God Shani is blessing us. A very good atmosphere, once in a life you must visit with your family here

Shani mandir is tooo good . Avoid scams around the temples like they'll urge you to take Pooja material from them n all. Don't take from them you'll get needy things at the entrance of the temple which are at cheaper cost and are so pure.

This well-known shrine is 65 kilometers from Shiridi. After six or seven years, I returned and noticed significant improvements to the facilities.
Oil anointing is best managed by trust. At this point, you can dress normally. Be aware of con artists; parking is provided close to the temple. Facilities for handicapped is also provided.
The temple's premises have been exquisitely renovated. The construction of the temple is still going on. The temple serves wonderful prasad.

I recently visited Shree Shanidev Temple in Shani Shingnapur on a weekday. Despite its popularity, the atmosphere was calm, and the darshan was smoothly done without any rush. The simplicity of the temple and the devotion of the devotees were remarkable. It was a fulfilling and spiritually enriching experience, highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful pilgrimage. Additionally, the temple offers ample parking space for cars at just 20 rupees, and there are plenty of shops nearby selling various materials for pooja (ritual worship).

Place is being developed well. You will need to buy branded oil since the lose or un branded oils are not allowed in the temple. You do have changing rooms and washrooms near by to fresh up. Temple has give special provision to pour oil in special containers while standing in queue line which will travel through a pipe and falls on the idol.

Wonderful place. The main objective here is to offer the oil to the deity. Either you can book from counters inside the premises or you can go and pour the oil in a container. Rest all other Prasad is not necessarily required to offer. You will find peace. The place is maintained by trust and it's cleaned regularly.

It is believed that shani maharaj came in dream of a shepherd many years aho and said he is "Shaneeshwara". He also told that the unique looking black stone is his swayambhu form. The shepherd prayed and asked the lord whether he should construct a temple for him. To this, Lord Shani Mahatma said there is no need for a roof as the whole sky is his roof and he preferred to be under open sky. He asked the shepherd to do daily pooja and 'Tailabhisheka' every Saturday without fail. He also promised the whole hamlet will have no fear of dacoits or burglars or thieves.
The mandir is usually crowded on shani amawasya.

I think, it was a nice place to visit. I heard about the Shani god from my family members, friends and relatives how powerful they are in terms of getting bad luck. Never thought I would visit him and take his blessings. I'm very happy I have done that, please make a visit and take blessings. Remember you shouldn't see back once you have given your prayers. Also, people who sell all that stuff related to abhishekam or other things are looting from people. I think, barely would be enough. We got trapped with that group and we burned enough money by taking all the unnecessary items who mis sold us by telling us one price at the start and charged us enough after darshan. Take care of the price especially when you are Telugu and unable to deal with the stuff. I didn't have any pictures of gold because of that rule that one shouldn't see back.
jayashankar maddipoti — Google review
Shani Signapur was once a revered place and is probably now also. But the divine experience is nullified by the touts outside who loot every devotee in the name of fear. Some flowers, a coconut, sesame oil and some items costs you Rs 1280 which was exorbitant. Wish I had read the reviews of previous people before. I don't think Lord Shani would have ever wanted people to give these offerings. A small bottle of sesame oil and flowers is all that is actually required but the touts outside will instill fear of Shani God in you. Best is, park in the Govt parking just opposite the temple gate and buy oil which you can do outside or inside the temple premises also. You can pour the oil in the common area which is then pumped to the Shani God statue. If you want to directly pour on the statue, you have to buy a ticket of Rs 500 per person. It is my personal opinion that if you want to spend money, rather donate it to the temple for Prasad to the people and food for needy where you will get a receipt and money will be used in the right manner ( hopefully ).

Don't purchase from outside.. you will get all these at a cheaper price inside the temple.

The fact about this place is no house in the village has doors. And use a paid parking lot. There are people who offer free parking, but we should buy from their shop and they sell them at enormous prices. We are permitted to pour oil on the god only when we take abhishekam ticket.

Offering oil is important in this temple. Dont get fooled by locals. Oil is sell by the temple trust. They provide proper bill . Every u can do payment by cash only and card. Even to keep your foot wears, facilitie is available by temple management. Temple Management charge only 500rs to offer oil personally. This 500₹, oil charges are not included. Oil u have to purchase separately. Its according to u, how much liters of oil u want to offer. Even Pujari available inside the temple, if u want to conduct any rituals. Exploring the Mystique of Shri Shaneshwar Mandir, Shani Shingnapur
Nestled 65 kilometers from the bustling pilgrim town of Shirdi, Maharashtra, lies a unique spiritual haven – Shri Shaneshwar Mandir, Shani Shingnapur. Recently, I had the opportunity to visit this revered temple, a journey that not only enriched my soul but also offered a deep dive into the cultural tapestry of India.
Shani Shingnapur's distinctiveness stems from the Swayambhu (self-emerged) Shani Devsthan, a powerful symbol of Lord Shani, represented as a black, imposing stone rising from the earth. This rare manifestation draws thousands of devotees daily, each seeking blessings and solace under the watchful gaze of Lord Shani.
Accessibility to this spiritual oasis is user-friendly, with well-connected roads, trains, and flights via Shirdi. Upon arrival, you're greeted with a plethora of options for pooja Sahitya (worship materials) available near the Mandir (temple). Don't miss the chance to savor the prasad an integral parts of the spiritual experience.
The temple's 24-hour opening is a testament to its commitment to being a constant beacon of hope and faith. A visit here is said to be a must in a devotee's lifetime, a chance to immerse in the sanctity and receive Lord Shani's abundant blessings.
However, a word of caution – while the temple's sanctity is unquestionable, the presence of persistent touts can sometimes dampen the experience. To enhance your visit, here are some pro-tips:
Dress Code: The temple has no specific dress code. Feel free to wear any decent attire.
Parking: Opt for the government parking opposite the temple gate. While there are other parking options, they tend to be more expensive and may involve unsolicited sales pressure.
Footwear: There's a designated spot for keeping footwear right at the temple entrance, eliminating the need to leave them in your car.
Mobile Phones: These are permitted inside the temple, allowing you to capture and share your spiritual journey.
One of the most unique practices here is the offering of oil to Lord Shani. Devotees can purchase oil either outside or within the temple premises. There's a communal area where you can pour the oil, which is then directed towards the deity. For a more personal offering, a direct pour on the statue is possible with a ticket of Rs 500 per person.
Shani Shingnapur is a vibrant spiritual epicenter, a testament to unwavering faith and a sanctuary offering solace and blessings. Its blend of mystical traditions and contemporary accessibility makes it a must-visit for every spiritual seeker.

3. There is a place to keep your footwear right at the temple entrance.
4. Mobile phones are allowed inside the temple.
5. You can buy oil inside the temple. There is Prasad counter inside
6. To pour oil directly per head charge is 500, otherwise oil has to be poured in container placed

Shree Shanidev Temple in Shani Shingnapur offers a unique and deeply spiritual experience. Known for its extraordinary tradition of having no doors, the temple is dedicated to Lord Shani, believed to be a powerful deity warding off evil.
The temple's simplicity is striking, with devotees placing immense trust in the protective powers of Lord Shani. The open-air sanctum allows for an unobstructed view of the imposing idol, creating a sense of connection and reverence.
The village itself is steeped in faith, and the temple's serene ambiance invites contemplation. Visitors are welcomed to witness the intriguing rituals and practices, reflecting the unwavering devotion of the community.
While the simplicity of Shree Shanidev Temple may differ from conventional temples, its unique traditions and the spiritual energy surrounding it make for a memorable and culturally rich visit.

Looking good. Shanidev bagavan is located at this temple. Temple management is good but outside it is not good. The people who are selling flowers Pooja oils outside are very cunning and don't believe them. Inside the temple they don't suppose us to pour the oil in Shiva. They just arranged a plate-like thing beside to pour oil. Maybe 500rs special tickets are available to pour oil in shiva. The crowd is not more. We visited on weekends.

Sai Baba’s early years are a mystery. Most accounts mention his birth as a Hindu Brahman and his subsequent adoption by a Sufi fakir, or mendicant. Later in life he claimed to have had a Hindu guru. Sai Baba arrived in Shirdi, in the western Indian state of Maharashtra, about 1858 and remained there until his death in 1918.
At first denounced by the villagers of Shirdi as a madman, by the turn of the century Sai Baba had a considerable following of Hindus and Muslims, attracted by his compelling teachings and his performance of apparent miracles, which often involved the granting of wishes and the healing of the sick. He wore a Muslim cap and for the better part of his life lived in an abandoned mosque in Shirdi, where he daily kept a fire burning, a practice reminiscent of some Sufi orders. Yet he named that mosque Dvarakamai, a decidedly Hindu name, and is said to have had substantial knowledge of the Puranas, the bhagvatgita, and various branches of Hindu thought. Sai Baba’s teachings often took the form of paradoxical parables and displayed both his disdain for the rigid formalism that Hinduism and Islam could fall prey to and his empathy for the poor and diseased.
Shirdi is a major pilgrimage site, and other spiritual figures like Upasani Baba and Meher baba credited the teachings of Sai Baba. In the late 20th and early 21st century Sathya Sai Baba claimed to be his incarnation.

Everything is fine here. Do not buy Prasad to Darshan Shirdi Temple. Nothing is allowed inside the Temple. It's a Scam of selling Prasad things at extremely highest price, minimum 500 times higher. Do Darshan come out and buy from roadside shops, if anything to buy.
Senior Citizens separate entry is available, but need to check timings. You can buy tickets for Darshan. Darshan can be done without tickets too.
