Aqualibi is a year-round indoor waterpark located at the entrance to Walibi Belgium. The park features a variety of high-speed and gentle water slides, a wave pool, and a dedicated kids' zone. The indoor facility boasts glass roofs, housing attractions such as a relaxation pool with massage jets, Laguna Verde heated to 36C with accompanying jacuzzis, and thrilling slides suitable for all ages. Visitors can enjoy river rapids and periodic waves in the main pool.
The water was nice and warm. Enough rides but you'd kinda expect more (which they are building now).
We went on a Friday in June and it was a bit crowded considering it was a regular weekday.
They serve fast food, accessible from inside the pool.
It's good fun for kids but I was a bit scared with some of the rides as an adult 😔
Marine Vrambout — Google review
Fun for kids, a couple of slides, sometimes a tad busy with wait times for some attractions. A bit limited in scope for adults. Still quite a nice outing. Booking online in advance is cheaper.
Corentin De Radigues — Google review
Overall a good experience as the park has plenty of different pools & zones for kids and adults to enjoy.
However, it is crowded even on a weekday. Lots of slippery surfaces everywhere making it super easy to fall (a poor choice of floor material for a water park). No picnic areas at all, and the only restaurant has a poor price/quality/portion size ratio!
Nino Vakhtangishvili — Google review
The new waterslides really improved the watermark I knew and loved. Because of the new slides, there are less waiting times overall and the new slides also have interesting mechanics, such as sitting on a board or getting to race people. The food has also majorly increased in quality over the last few years. Of course the price on the food is expensive, but that is the case in most watermarks. The only issue I had was, that the water and temperature was colder than usual, but that was my experience. Over all, great and fun place to visit.

To crowdy, restaurant should prepare much better for many meals in future.

We had a great time here. Easter holidays but we went after 14.00 and it wasn't too busy. I am glad we went since the new rides have opened because they were really good. Our only criticism was there just doesn't seem to be enough inflatables to meet demand for the new rides yet. Also it all felt very safe the staff ensured that people stuck to the rules and were all very friendly. Lockers open and lock with your entry band so are included in the ticket price.

Better than I remembered from 20 years ago... However - even with the renovations, it does feel a little outdated and it is quite smaller... Perfect as an addition to a day in Walibi... Not for a whole day in Aqualibi (as a parent anyhow)
Vanessa Van Hese — Google review
The pool is large, clean and bright. It has a lot of activities and a lot of swimmers.
Filip ?egula (Public profile) — Google review
We are not advocating that people in wheelchairs get anything for free (possibly their escort, helper), however when something is not adapted for them then it makes sense. Of all the pool complexes where we have been, this one is the worst for people with disabilities, however, it was the only one where we had to pay the full price for both me in a wheelchair and for an escort. Also, instead of a normal concrete ramp, they made this horrible non-functional elevator (which is completely inconsistent with the principles of universal design) that makes a person in a wheelchair have to wait ten minutes in the rain until someone comes with a key and makes it work.

Above early or you will be waiting in line for over an hour..... Other than the huge vacation crowd it was very nice. Lots of good water slides and pools.

This is our first visit since the new slides have been added. They are clearly now charging customers a lot for the new additions. 70 euros for me and my 10 year old plus the parking is additional. The new slides are fun but the idea that people should carry the floating devices to the top seems crazy. The place does seem to offer a better experience overall but 82 euros is expensive so this may be an annual visit rather than the usual 3-4 times a year.

Aqualibi Water Theme Park: A Splashing Good Time for All
I recently had an incredible experience at Aqualibi water theme park in Belgium, and it exceeded all expectations. Located within the Walibi amusement park complex, Aqualibi offers a thrilling array of water activities and attractions that cater to all ages.
One of the standout features of Aqualibi is the diverse range of water activities available. From thrilling water slides to relaxing lazy rivers and interactive splash zones, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. During my visit, I had a blast racing down exhilarating slides like the Flash and the Rapido, which provided an adrenaline-pumping experience. The variety of slides ensured there was always a new adventure to try.
The wave pool at Aqualibi was another favorite attraction. The waves were incredibly realistic and added to the excitement of the water park. It was a fantastic feeling to swim and play in the waves, as if I were at the beach.
In addition to the thrilling rides, Aqualibi offers plenty of options for relaxation and rejuvenation. The Jacuzzi and relaxation areas provided a tranquil escape, allowing me to unwind between activities and enjoy some downtime.
One of the great advantages of visiting Aqualibi is its convenient accessibility. The water park is well-connected by train from Brussels, making it easily accessible for visitors relying on public transportation. Additionally, Aqualibi offers ample parking space for those arriving by car, ensuring a hassle-free experience from start to finish.
The overall atmosphere at Aqualibi was lively and welcoming, with upbeat music playing throughout the park. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that safety measures were in place and that guests had a positive experience.
Another notable highlight of Aqualibi is the availability of amenities and dining options within the water park. There are several spots to grab a quick bite or a refreshing drink, allowing guests to refuel and continue enjoying the day.
Overall, my visit to Aqualibi was filled with fun and excitement. The combination of thrilling water activities, convenient accessibility, and friendly atmosphere made it a memorable experience for me and my companions. Whether you’re seeking adventure or relaxation, Aqualibi promises a splashing good time for all. I highly recommend visiting this water theme park for an unforgettable aquatic adventure.

Very clean, lines lasted a bit long sometimes for the big rides, very child friendly with lots of kids space and kids water slides / water playground. The restaurant there even had a vegan burger that tasted pretty damn good to be honest.
The big rides weren’t scary either for those who are scared of these kinds of places.
I also like that their car park roof was made entirely out of solar panels.
Abdullah Azhar — Google review
Great new slides, all other slides/pools also still good fun.
Pleasantly surprised with the healthy options for food next to classic burgers and fried stuff.
Also music really well chosen, it's a very varied mix spanning a few decades and genres, but all suited to an indoor place with losts of noise already. So often these places make it worse with the music, here it actually improves the athmosphere a lot!

I would add more stars if I could. In the beginning I thought the water cold, but you get used to it, and there are some pools where the water is more warm. Loved it!

This review is not about a visit but about being treated as a customer.
I bought a 10 entrance pass more than a year ago and could not use it because they closed for a few months.
For 6 months now I am calling them, writing emails, filling in online forms - no reply!!!
They have robots on the phone, no human reached in 6 months!!!!
A swear, 6 Months !!!!
Literally, if you have a problem they kick you out of their customers list.

very clean, a lot of people, but it's a good sign) 😉
Attentive staff, and the fact that you work 7 days a week is a special respect! 👍
Наталья Фролова — Google review
Lots of fun for the family, slides made to be thrilling but safe! We enjoyed the river rapids and the fact that you start from uphill. Spent some time in the main pool, which becomes a waves pool every now and again. Just before we left, we discovered the thermal baths and jacuzzi, which was very warm. Everything was clean and works, and there were lots of lifeguards visible, though I didn't get the impression they are as vigilant/attentive as some places I've been. Christmas lights are pleasing and add that extra sparkle.
Walibi Belgium is a seasonal amusement park located near Wavre, a city known for its historic castle and natural reserves. The park offers a mix of kids-only attractions, roller coasters, carousels, and an observation wheel. Easily accessible by train or car, the park has been entertaining visitors since 1975 and continues to introduce new thrill rides every few years.
We absolutely recommend Walibi in Belgium. The staff is super friendly. The family ambience is great.
Our favourite ride was Konda. Wow! Such thrills. We recommend to get speedy passes, specially the infinite one that you can once you are at the park.

Very nice theme park. Well maintenance but very poor capacity. Waiting time at least 45 minutes for the extreme rides.
Speedy ticket is recommended in order to reduce waiting time.
Would love to go back again!

It’s one of the biggest amusement parks in Belgium. Lots of thrilling roller coasters, like the standout Kondaa, and immersive themed areas. Despite occasional crowds and long waits, the park's diverse attractions and friendly atmosphere make it a top choice for families and thrill-seekers seeking a fun-filled day in Europe. Would recommend to use the app to check out the wait times for each ride to plan your next ride
The place has ♿accessible Parking’s and toilets

Super fun for everyone! It’s great to start the day with Aqualibi and then go to the main park! Walibi is full of attractions and everyone will find something for themselves! Food in the park in okay but unfortunately lacks healthy options so be prepared! Overall, great fun for a day or two not so far from Brussels :)
Can’t wait for them to reopen in October 2021! :)

Very nice park,
The atmosphere is great there .
Some coasters are a bit old and should be replaced, however the newer attractions are so nicely done that I can look over the other ones.
It has something for everyone in there no matter how old you are.
The fast pass is very worth it, I can only recommend it on a crowded day.
Snorri — Google review
Very nice, clean, well maintained themepark. Good variety of food establishments throughout the park. All toilets very clean, sometimes a bit hidden. Waiting times for the attractions were very low, when we visited. The fastpass system works really well. Would recommend this themepark.
Kruimelgebakje — Google review
Very fun, recommend buying tickets in advance, makes it easier. The rides are very nice. You can buy food and souvenirs there. There are also little games like a claw machine or trying to throw a ball in a bucket and more games similar to this. You must visit this attraction park at least once in your life. But make sure you download the app walibi Belgium, because it really helps out if you need a quick check which tides have the smallest wait time. The wait time can be big, it can vary around 0-50min, I suggest going to the shorter times first if you want to go on more rides. But I think the day matters, if there's a special occasion like Halloween, there will definitely be a lot of people. Although it's very nice on Halloween, spooky. So in summary, it's very nice, I recommend going.
Gintare Skruodyte — Google review
Went for the halloween event this weekend, it surely was amazing! Very nice to have been back to Walibi. I Would recommended a fast pass tho', otherwise waiting lines for attractions are over an hour.
Alucardella — Google review
We love this place when there are no public Holidays, otherwise it is not fun to visit because of the crowd and long cues.
What we love is that there is now a special place for kids starting 1 meter to be able to have some atractions (I think a total of 5 atractions, like the mini version of the Dalton) in a protected/ closed area.
The kids just love it, there is also an open outdoor playground on the other side of the park, that is huge for them to have fun.
For us it was more advantageous to buy a subscription, because we planned to go more than one time. You can than also buy a subscription that is much more intresting for the parking.
Perfect during summer holidays or no rainy days.
My kids love it (that started when 3 and 4, and now 4 and 5, stil loving it)
Rabia Uslu — Google review
Very good parc, we enjoyed our Journey there, there is so much choice for the games, it was crowded in the middle of the journey and some times we spend too much time waiting our turn, that's why at last we prefered to choose the games according to the least waiting time and that's the reason why we enjoyed it, we didn't waste too much time...
Bettaieb Yosra — Google review
A very nice park with a good variety of rides for all ages. We love the water park and the food options. Our only complaint is how early dining closes and the seemingly random hours. Season pass is worth the money.
Truett Kinard — Google review
Had a blast at this park. You don’t need more than a day though. The coasters are fun and it has a great atmosphere.
We were treated very badly by 1 employee though. Spent over half an hour at guest service but they spoke no english or dutch (only french) which made it very annoying to file a complaint.
But besides that, we had a good day. Werewolf and kondaa were my favourite coasters. All the others are fun to do as well. Would definitely recommend a visit!
Naomi __ — Google review
It was my first time riding a roller coaster and it was simply PHENOMENAL. The variety and safety of each roller coaster is unbelievable for a newbie. It was a thrill!
Teodor Balaban (Bali) — Google review
It was Halloween, rainy and cold and a bit crowded when I was over there. The rides were fun and enjoyable, the attractions were also really interesting. The freaks show was really entertaining and fun. It was a nice experience for me!
Harry James Potter — Google review
Adequate security measures. Attractions were in optimal conditions. There is sufficient public space for rest and freshen up. Clean restrooms easy to find. Attractions for small children (0.90 meters) are week spread all over the park.
While there is an interesting online app, I was under the impression that it is not so precise. Hence, one suggestion would be to check the map. It is not necessarily user friendly.
Mónica Rico Benítez — Google review
My children and I love Walibi. We don't live too far away so visit regularly, occasionally it can be a little bit too busy, but generally we find the queue times reasonable. The park over the years is always being constantly improved. Always very clean and plenty of toilets.
Some brilliant rides, my kids love the kondaa and my favourite is the pulsar.
My children will have some great childhood memories from Walibi!
Cheryl Randall — Google review
I came for Kondaa from germany. 40 - 60 mins waiting times and only one train in operation!
This ride can double the capacity but their answer to the question why they didnt do it: not enough people.
So how much waiting time does this park want? 1:30??
The stuff operated great! Fast, super friendly but i dont get why this park wants people to spend their whole visit in the rain at 6 degrees standing in the line.
Its one of the best parks in europe and one of the greatest roller coasters too. But the decision how stuff is run ruins the whole experience.
Gabriel Leberwurst — Google review
The best amusement park in Belgium and one of the best in Europe. Not the first time there for me and my family, but we have seen this time the Halloween arrangements and they are really impressive.
Cezar Neculae — Google review
This was a great park! It is good for the whole family, but the roller coasters are better for older kids. Vampire, Weerwolf, and Cobra are pretty painful, so avoid these if you don’t want a headache. Kondaa is a MUST do. We unfortunately had to buy speedy passes for 50€ each because we wanted to make sure we rode everything. The speedy passes really slow down the normal lines which is annoying if you don’t buy them. Overall, this park is great for all ages, but if you have small kids, there are better parks that have more kid rides and kid coasters.
Daisy Plyler — Google review
Lovely place. We enjoyed a lot. Some improvements may be implemented: it closes early, no coffee choices and only coffee served inside the buffets is not a good one either. Too much smoking around. And the waiting times were too long. Looking forward to visit again.
Ismail Altas — Google review
It is an adult park more than Kids.
One of the best amusement park in Eu.
The queue was long on sunday.
Syrine Maatar — Google review
The attractions were truly remarkable ! However, we encountered an issue with a staff member at the boat attraction. Thankfully, a manager promptly intervened, resolved the problem, and even generously provided our entire family with speed line tickets (which we greatly appreciated). Nonetheless, certain parts of the park appear to require maintenance.
Another thing ,make sure that the QR code (photos) are working, we didn't get ours, they have an issue in there website ( it's been 3 days nothing yet.
P.S : Attraction lines can become quite length.

Despite its 5-star rating, my recent stay at Hotel Martin Chatou left much to be desired, aligning more closely with what one might expect from a 3-star establishment.
Service: The service at Hotel Martin Chatou unfortunately did not meet the high standards one would anticipate from a hotel of its purported caliber. Interactions often felt lackluster, lacking the attentiveness and detail-oriented approach synonymous with luxury accommodations.
Breakfast: The breakfast offering was another area where the hotel did not live up to expectations. The variety and quality of food did not reflect the 5-star experience, with options feeling limited and somewhat uninspired.
Room Quality: The room itself, while adequately furnished, fell short of the comfort and luxury one looks forward to in such a reputed hotel. The aesthetic and amenities provided did not match up to the usual 5-star room experience, with elements of wear and a need for refreshment apparent.
Comfort and Cleanliness: On the front of comfort and cleanliness, there again was room for improvement. The overall cleanliness did not reach the meticulous standard expected, and the comfort level of the lodging experience was underwhelming. This detracted from the overall sense of luxury and relaxation that should define a stay at a hotel of this standing.
In conclusion, while Hotel Martin Chatou boasts a 5-star rating, my experience suggests that the services, amenities, and overall guest experience align more closely with that of a 3-star hotel. It is my hope that this feedback serves as constructive criticism, aiding in the improvement of future guest experiences.

I would like to share my experiences from my recent stay at Château du Lac. Unfortunately, several issues marked my overall experience:
1. Spa Service: Spa enjoyment was disrupted by a noisy group in the pool, affecting our relaxation.
2. Restaurant Service: Poor organization at the restaurant resulted in order errors and delays, impacting the experience despite the quality of the dishes.
3. Room Infrastructure Issues: The room had flaws such as low-quality pillows, wardrobe doors difficult to close, scratches, and excessive noise from the air conditioning.
4. Payment Issues: Challenges with eco-vouchers, lack of clarity, and responsiveness in resolving payment issues were frustrating.
5. Massage Issues: Upon arrival in the relaxation room, there was no available water. Out of the 5 seats, 2 were not functioning, and one was too hot to lie on, all for 8 clients.
I hope these insights will contribute to improving your services. I am open to discussing constructive solutions.

I suppose the hotel is very nice, having had my guests stay there.
The restaurant and service needs to be slightly upgraded as it doesn't always have the same standard. I had my birthday celebration with many guests from all over the world and we ordered from a pre-set menu but the day of the festivity, the majority of the food wasn't available.

Spent a week in the hotel for a work trip and both the scenery in town and the room were impeccable. There is also a proper full gym in the hotel that I could get access with an one-off fee which allowed me to stay on my training routine while staying there and the lake right in front of the hotel was great for a walk or a jog. The room jacuzzi was impressive too. Highly recommended to try.
Simeng Wang — Google review
The location seems to be the only thing special. Terrible service (waiters walking by multiple times without clearing the table from the guests before, let alone take our order. After paying 4 euros for a half filled mug of water with a tea bag and a dirty spoon it was clear the service was not a hiccup.
10 minutes walking from here is a quaint location with good drinks, food, and a view of the lake. Most importantly, you are served.
Vincent Davies — Google review
Not too bad but seems like it _used_ to be a fancy place. Paint is starting to come loose. Some of the furniture is not smelling too great. Room prices are acceptable, the drinks are not. The lakeside view is great and staff is decent. This place has seen better times and offers fair value for price today, but updates will have to be done. Horrible WiFi in my room.

Beautiful hotel
We had a nice room with a bubble bath with chromotherapy. Was a lot of fun.
The bed was really comfy
Cleaniness was overall good but the sink had a bit of mold and water draining was slow.
You can have a walk around the lake which is quite nice
Sav Eckht — Google review
It was a bad experience, we left extremely unsatisfied. From 3 am, we couldn't sleep due to the excessive noise of the other guests.
At 3:40 am, our neighbors took a shower, and we could hear everything.
While they were leaving the room, the noise was unbearable, and even after, we couldn't sleep due to the noise of people walking in the corridors and stairs loudly. We repeatedly tried to call the reception, but no one answered.
We gave our feedback to the receptionist, they didn't react to the bad service, we also e-mailed the hotel manager, but received no response. Very disappointed.
Edit after response: we sent an email to the contact the receptionist gave for complaints, after she didn't react to our feedback about our stay in April last year. No response since.
The Groot Begijnhof Leuven is a heritage museum that preserves the religious and social history of women in Leuven, Belgium. The museum is located in the heart of the town, and it is a great place to wander through quiet streets lined with old brick houses and step-gabled brick houses with stone window frames. There are also a couple of pretty footbridges that cross the central stream.
Went on a weekend visit to Leuven and this place was breathtaking. So calm and peaceful yet holding a huge history. It used to be a residence of Nuns and now a UNESCO heritage site perfect for promenade 🤗
Palak Rawat — Google review
I’ve been to Begijnhoven all over Belgium. Probably because it is a mostly-Dutch/Belgian concept, but still. All of them have the same characteristics (green grass courtyards for washing clothes, little houses right next to each other and cosy streets, a church on the grounds, etc..) but what makes this one special is not-hidden in the name. It is pretty big. The one in Antwerp and Tongeren are small in comparison (not less cute though).
You’d be amiss not to stroll through this serene and walled-in area of Leuven, stubbing your toes against the cobblestones and wondering if people still live here (spoiler: a lot of students still do).

The begijnhof neighborhood in Leuven is recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site (along with other begijnhofs in Flanders). It feels as though you’re stepping back in time while walking through the immaculately well-maintained streets admiring the old stone roads and the red brick buildings. A professor at the local university informed us that the residents are a mix of established locals as well as university students. Irrespective of the profiles of the neighborhood’s inhabitants, it is extremely serene, quiet and feels safe even walking alone late at night. While it is a good hike from the train station and a bit away from the center of town, make the trip to the begijnhof for a step back in time.

I love this place because I can feel the lives of people in the past and now. Small windows with non-flat glasses and their live through the windows attract me and make me go back to past. Bumpy stone-paved road help me to imagine the world without cars.

Gives you a very old colonial vibe as soon as you step into the streets. Its a well preserved beguinage containing numerous houses and apartments and is owned by the University for its housing needs. With beautiful brick houses, stone walkways, canals and a garden…this is a must visit spot in Leuven
Niranjana Sreekumar — Google review
Very nice old district, we had luck to be there at Sunday evening. It was almost empty, very calm, with romantic flair and seldom pedestrians passing the streets. Definitely one "must-see" during the visit to Loeven!

UNESCO WH site. Gorgeous and well restored housing which is now used for student accommodation in Leuven.
Free to access and wonder around, quietness is encouraged as the place is quiet and peaceful so visitors are encouraged to keep noise to a minimum.
Walking distance from Leuven city centre.
One thing I did notice was the lack of bins and seating areas to take a break during the walk.
J Bradley — Google review
A must-see historical site if you want to see a wonderfully restored old village compound once inhabited by hundreds of women from the religious order of the beguines. The beguinage covers a relatively large area intertwined with a river, a lot of green, magnificent historical buildings and the beguin church, open to the public. The site is inhabited by a few happy students and university professors who would be pleased with a bit of silence. In other words: a tourist location but no typical attraction for noisy kids or anyone looking for a coffee place, restaurant or souvenir shop. Only paid parking spots can be found in the near vicinity. Wheelchair access is challenging since the compound is paved with cobblestones.

Really calm and nice place, worth a visit if you are in the area
The Kruidtuin botanical garden is an old and well-maintained garden that features a greenhouse, as well as a variety of carefully tended plant displays. This lovely attraction is definitely worth a visit for any botany enthusiast.
It is a large garden with a wide range of plants and it is divided into many areas both indoors and outdoors. In spring, most of plants here are blooming and full of colors. We can explore plants in different living conditions. I can find plants from my country, a tropical country, though it is far away from home now. It is totally free and there are many chairs to sit and enjoy the atmosphere here.

Amazing landscaping with many varieties of plants and trees. Giant maple trees and a huge greenhouse with plants that wouldn't survive the winter. If you like plants, you will love this place. Bravo to the gardeners that care for this place.

A lush, green oasis in the city of Leuven. Not too far from the center of the city. It's wonderful for a walk, although it can be crowded during the weekend especially if the weather is nice.

Magical. A great experience (for free) in a botanic gardens which is very rich in species, bees, and well-taken care of. A must-see when in Leuven. A nice open-air experience in every season of the year. Very charming even in winter. Open also on Sundays.

Very good place to visit. Especially in spring. Flowers are blooming, and the garden is very beautiful. You can also bring laptops and work here as there are plenty of tables and chairs spread around.

Entrance is free. There is a toilet, also free. No large, but rather intensively used garden of Leuven University. It was established several centuries ago for growing plants fir medical purpose for students practice. It consists of several open areas with decorative and fruit/berries plants and trees and several greenhouses with tropical plants and flowers. You can buy a book about the garden and plant collection. If you like plants snd gardens, you can spend a pair of hours walking there.

Love it so much. I assume visiting during spring or autumn will be more beautiful.
The botanical garden is very well managed and open access for everyone.

A very nice and well maintained Botanical Garden. A public facility that is used for educational purposes to demonstrate for students how things can be done. They even had a kiwi orchard which looked almost ready to pick! Though the friendly person who worked there was very clear that no one is to pick anything from the different fruit trees and we felt we needed to mention that we didn't do any picking ourselves. We thought it funny how that chat went 😁 The place needs a small Cafe, it would have been perfect to sit in such surroundings and relax a bit and drink something, especially today because it was unseasonably hot at 30 or so degrees celsius!

Holy moly! Completely stumbled upon this garden whilst walking around Leuven without any plan. It is BEAUTIFUL! Huge variety of flora and fauna plus sculptures dotted around. The grounds are easy to navigate as well as indoor areas such as greenhouses. There is even a compost space! It was so peaceful and lovely, I am so happy I accidentally happened upon it!

Must visit this hidden gem in Leuven. Its free of cost. Open everyday till 8 pm. Photography allowed. They also have greenhouses and slider turtles too.
The University Library is a large and impressive building, with beautiful views of the city from various vantage points. It has a wide variety of materials, including many rare books and manuscripts. You can also visit the tower to get great views of the city.
Lovely library in a beautiful building. For few euros it is possible to climb up to the top of the tower, with a view dominating over the whole city of Leuven

It's a beautiful building with a lo5 of details and history. However, do know that 4 euro entrance costs don't include the tower e trance. Library stair case and big hall are absolutely marvellous ( just beware of some noisy stairs . Pillars in the entrance have names of all universities that donated money and assistance for the rebuild. All in all they did a fabulous job in recreation of the library .
Staff was super super polite at the reception

Great views of the entire city. Nice to see the bell mechanism at work. Only 250 stairs not too bad.

Over 600 years old and standing proud, the KU Leuven library is an iconic monument that has withstood multiple attacks from neighbouring allies. It not only is an academic powerhouse but it has also shaped the skyline of Leuven city. Climb 290 steps to enjoy a beautiful city view. Also don’t miss out on the audio tour

Amazing place! You can see a library that remind Harry Potter movie. And there is a tower on each level of which you will find more and more information about library destruction in WWI and in WWII and how it was rebuild. From the top of tower you can see a beautiful panorama of Leuven.
Whole visit takes approx 1-1.5h.
Tower is high and stairs are narrow.
Prior ticket booking is required - see the site that shown on this page.

The highest tower of Leuven.
This historic tower provides an unobstructed view of the leuven city center, a great addition to any travel itinerary when visiting leuven. As you make your way to the top, informative panels guide you through the turbulant past of this great city.

Today, I took my 3-year-old child to visit the Universiteitsarchief KU Leuven . The most interesting thing was that we climbed the tower together. The process of climbing the tower was very meaningful. It took 40 minutes in the library and the ticket was 7 euros. The conductor is very patient.

Working library and tourist attraction in one. Thus review will be from perspective of tourist.
Tour is explained at the information inside. Lockers for free are available inside. The tour is individual and you need to download it through the app. Except one bug, the app worked smoothly. Bluetooth will show you points of interest around. The tour takes around 1 hour to 90 minutes. Be careful to have enough time left for the tower (check closing times). The view is probably the best in the city..

This is a must see for all history and architecture lovers! If you decide to go into the library, the library tower offers a skyline view of the city Leuven due to its centric location :)
P.S. climbing the tower takes around 300 stairs so please take this into account while buying tickets.

It's worth the price, i got a discount of 2 euros for the ticket (from 7e to 5e) after showing my student card to the staff. with the ticket visitors can get an audio tour in the nice library (with great collections) and enjoy the view of Leuven from bell tower. Easily reachable from the station.

Beautiful tower and library, the library was bombed during World War II to subtly remind the people of this the tower (who was still intact) is left at its original place and the library was build asymmetrical with the belfry tower.
Beautiful building!
The Old Market in Leuven is a buzzing, tree-shaded town square lined with open-air bars and restaurants in ornate gabled mansions. La Oude Markt, c'est place to be for a snack at the student atmosphere. It's filled with bars and cafés, so we'd gone to Bar 9 on recommendation from an old student louvaniste: apparently they have some of the best cocktails!
Used to live near by. It's changed a lot in the last few years but still remains beautiful place for a drink or food
Richard Dakin — Google review
Beautiful old square with plenty of cafes, bars and places to eat. Reduced services and number of places open on a Sunday so it’s best to go on a Saturday when the town square is active and full of life.
Wear comfortable shoes, the cobblestones can be lethal for your feet!

Totally beautiful this place, surrounded by the old unique buildings typical European style. And it's considered to have a longest bar in the world here. In the evening, the restaurants and bars will be all opened, so make sure come early otherwise full.

The place is phenomenal. Cafe places are crowded, but they are very lovely. You can find everything over there: cafe places, restaurants, fast food, bars.. etc. It is better to walk around.. don't rely on a car because some streets are very narrow and cars are not allowed there. If you are looking for history, entertainment, and fun time. This is the best place

The buildings are beautiful, but the center is in fact very small. The biggest problem is that it's almost impossible to find a parking spot. I guess the best option is to come by train.
Corina Lucia Anton — Google review
Such a pretty square with bars, restaurants and cafes all around its perimeter. It seems to be mostly a place for evening and late night and I've noticed a younger crowd. It is central and all around it there are shops, more restaurants and cafes, and fast food chains.
You won't find parking in the center of Leuven because it's mostly pedestrian so I suggest walking/riding or taking the bus. There are underground parking garages right on the outskirt though but I think public transportation is the best bet.

While enjoying our lunch we witnessed 2 weddings at the church! We visited on a Saturday afternoon on a beautiful July day. We enjoyed beer and wine along with good food (schnitzel) outside on the patio at Reubens. The staff was pleasant and we very little issues with language. We spent about $60 euros on lunch. The 15th-century stadhuis is a magnificent Gothic-style former municipal headquarters with turrets, fancy stonework, and 236 sculptures on the walls. It is one of Leuvens most iconic sights and survived numerous wars that devastated the rest of the town. The building can pretend to be ninth wonder of the world.
One of the most incredible and intricate buildings! You could stand and stare at it for hours and continually notice something new! Even more wonderful in the morning sunlight we got. We did not go inside, we were simply happy to gaze upon it.

Spectacular building with a Flemish Gothic façade, although the remains of Leuven's first town hall, built in 1439 and located on the main square, are no longer preserved. It has been destroyed and rebuilt three times in the last hundred years, the last time after the Second World War.
On the outside we can see 236 statues, all of them of important figures in the history of the city, arranged by floors: on the ground floor we find academics and artists, on the ground floor religious figures, on the first floor members of the nobility and finally, at the top of the towers, scenes from the Bible are represented.

This city town hall is one of most beautiful hall, it's just stunning with the little detail of arts. Especially, with the sunset light reflex toward the Hall, just gorgeous.
Wonderful little basilica in a nice park, when we entered, we were surprised by the warmth and the smell of candles, the basilica is beautiful from the outside as well as from the inside, it is interesting that its interior is very small, I have never seen such a small interior space, it is definitely worth stopping there and think for a moment...

This mall is “meh”. Too crowded, toilet is paid (going to the toilet is a basic human need and should never be charged in my opinion) and it’s rarely open on Sunday! Always found it odd that a mall of all places is not open on the only day that most people have the time to visit.

Mini-golf, pedal boating, tennis courts & playgrounds around a lake with a summertime beach.
Nice scenery. Some water activities only opens around 1:00pm. Toddlers and teens have separate outdoor playground. Mini zoo and mini train. Can be very crowded in the summer vacation specially during warmer days. I was impressed with the toilet, clean and with paper/handsoap. Restaurants available inside the park. Swimming is also allowed (except if there are red flags). Great for jogging, walking or just relaxing. Outdoor fitness area are free to use. Bicycles are not allowed inside the park. The Beekse Bergen zoo offers visitors the unique experience of observing various wild animals such as elephants, lions and apes in their natural habitat. The park provides guided tours on buses, boats and walking paths, allowing for a diverse way of exploring the grounds. The zoo sets itself apart from others by offering the opportunity to drive through areas where many of the animals roam freely which is an exceptional experience.
Great place to spend time with kids. It was a unique experience for us to be able live right next to a few lions 🦁 . You hear them roaring the whole night but it was exciting and fun. The safari park has lot of animals to visit by foot or by car or by boat. We tried all and it was worth it. There is a big fun park for kids with rides as well. Days well spent.

A beautiful zoo where animals roam freely. I got together with my friends and their kids for a Sunday activity. It was a pleasant day. You can do a safari by bus and ship. There is also an option that you can do with your vehicle if you prefer, but it is a bit limited compared to others. What I don't like about this place is that the food options were a little less; frankly, we couldn't find anything to eat. But if you want to do a safari without going to Africa, it is a good option. The parking fee is 9.50 Euros, and you can get it from the internet or the kiosks at the entrance.
There is no control when entering, but they check one by one when leaving. I would recommend not taking it in advance to don't stay at the exit.

This zoo for me was one of the best zoos I have seen so far. First of all the you could get a chance to see all the animals which you would see on the map. It was really exciting for kids to see them all. There are different options to explore it , by walk, by your vehicle, by the boat.
Special attractions were, lion, tiger of different types. There are sufficient sitting areas to sit and eat and toilets.
All area is wheel chair friendly and you also get a kid cart in case if you forget to bring.

Beekse Bergen offers an unforgettable safari experience that is sure to impress even the most seasoned travelers. The vast plains and rolling hills of the park provide an ideal backdrop for a thrilling adventure that is both educational and entertaining.
One of the best ways to experience Beekse Bergen is on foot or car. These safaris allow visitors to get up close and personal with a variety of animals, including, lions, rhinos, and giraffes. The guides are happy to answer questions and provide insight into the behavior and habits of the animals, making for an educational and informative experience.
For those who prefer a more adventurous safari experience, Beekse Bergen offers the option to drive your own car through the park. This allows visitors to explore the park at their own pace and get even closer to the animals. The park provides a app that details the different routes through the park and provides information on the various animals that can be seen along the way.
Overall, Beekse Bergen offers a safari experience that is both impressive and unforgettable. Whether you choose to explore the park on foot or by car, you are sure to be greeted by breathtaking scenery and a wide variety of fascinating animals. The park is well-maintained and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, making for a truly enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend a visit to Beekse Bergen to anyone looking for a unique and exciting safari adventure.
My family and I will certainly come back again.

Interesting concepts of a safari park, mixed with a zoo. It is a big spacious park, where the animals have lots of space, with a focus on African animals. The car safari is a nice ride passing the animal, and sometimes engaging with them. The zoo part is a good walk, but the variety of animals is a bit limited. The extremely large elephant enclosure is under serious reconstruction, and looks promising. A nice tip: if you are a member of the ANWB, go to their website for discounted tickets, saves 20-25%.

A little bit expensive (35 euros pp), but it's nice to see rare animals. Unfortunately you can't feed them. You can watch the zoo by walking, driving slowly your own car or by boat (too far to see animals clearly) .
Marina Makarenko (Bella Thompson) — Google review
Outstanding. This safari park covers a large area and harbors many animals. The animals have large amounts of space - you can’t possibly compare that to any other regular zoo out there. There’s also quite a few young animals, which you might not always see at first, but if you do it is always a beautiful sight, since it indicates how at home they feel here.
There are a lot of great animals to see here. One of my personal favorites were the ring-tailed lemurs. They roam completely free in their territory with no fences whatsoever. Fascinatingly, they are not shy or scared at all - in fact, they will walk onto the path all by themselves and happily let you come closer to observe them. A very unique experience.
The boat-safari gets you from one end of the park to the other within about 30 minutes, while also providing a small tour at the same time. You may see a few animals near the water, however, most of them will likely be pretty far away and you might not see much. There’s no guarantee.
The park offers multiple opportunities to get food, drinks, and all sorts of snacks. This includes restaurants and also small food stands. Most of it is quite expensive, so you might want to bring some things yourself too.
Overall, this might be the greatest animal park I have ever been to, and I can only recommend it. It is a wonderful, unforgettable experience and I had a really good time. The visit is definitely worth it.

Great spacious zoo/safari park which is ideal for a long walk. Plus side is that when you are tired of walking you can take the safari bus or boat back close to the entrance. Parking is not cheap, but also not overly expensive. Food is decent and on par with gas station prices. Park has a good variety of animals and is pretty well accessable.

Wonderful place, and a magical experience for the kids. We spent four days here and could have stayed longer. We opted to stay in a house on the edge of one of the animal enclosures (lodge 411) and woke up each morning to a rhino outside our house! Having not done an African safari I do however think this is the next best thing, especially at half the price.
There is so much to see and do, mixed together with the driving, walking and boat safaris, then you throw in the beach and lake resort and you can easily entertain yourself and the kids for a week or more. When booking our accommodation and tickets, you also get entry into lots of other local attractions, which we didn't even get a chance to do.
I would say the only downside was the food. The restaurants were expensive and there weren't a lot of options. The best one to eat at if you do choose to eat out is at Hogan House, as the buffet was good. However the upside to each of the restaurants are the views of the animals, and the fact they have play parks for the kids (although there isn't really any play equipment for under three). In our lodge you did have a kitchen so you could easily self cater, as there are supermarkets a short drive away from the resort.
I would 100% recommended this place to anyone who loves animals or wants a holiday with a bit of a twist. My only piece of advice would be to avoid trying to see the animals on a really hot day as they all hide in the shade. We did one walk on a scorching hot day and hardly saw any animals then the next day it rained and stormed in the morning, so by the afternoon it was much cooler and they were all out in force!

It is a very nice park. We did a bus safari. The bus driver was so enthusiastic. She told us nice stories about the park, the animals and it was really fun to listen to her. Then we did a preying bird safari. It was also a fascinating show. Those birds were so gracious to see. Besides, we walked through the park. It's beautiful. And animals do look happy there. But the cutest thing was to see the three little elephants. The smallest one was just three days old. Super cute!
People working there are so friendly! We enjoyed this experience.

We stayed at Beekse Bergen in a Giraffe House. The kids loved staying onsite. The park itself is well laid out and spacious. The bus safari was enjoyable, but unfortunately we understood nothing as it was in Dutch (obvs not their fault) but our kids got quite bored as a result. The playgrounds scattered around the park were amazing. There was a great selection of snacks and cafes. All well priced too. We spent a full day there and the kids had a blast. We would highly recommend Beekse Bergen to families with young children.

Place for a day out with kids.
Jungle safari ride , or walk both are equally interesting . Plenty of parking space. Several food and snack options are available.
Light safari festival was lovely experience. Although the crowd was not managed properly , too crowded and a walking route of 20mins took more than 2hrs due to crowd.

A great place for one days trip. Children will love it. Do take the Safari either by there bus or your own car. Seeing a cheetah walk across my car was the best moment for me.

We visited the light safari which was really nice. There were so many people which sometimes completely forced the crowd to a complete stop. Felt like walking in ultra slow motion most of the time e. Got a lot better past the half way bar.

We loved the Night Safari. It was beautiful and the prettiest lights we’ve seen. We came right at 5:00 on a Sunday night so it was busy. There are staff directing parking so that’s nice. I recommend coming later after 5:00 so it’s not so congested. When we left around 6:30, it wasn’t crowded at the gate at all. We walked through the whole thing in an hour. There are food and drink booths in the middle of the loop, and there is the Winterplein at the beginning/end with more food and drinks. We had warm waffles and hot dogs (not bratwurst) and it was decent. There were also frites and snacks booths.

So lovely place to spend time with a family 😍
A lot of animal babies, different ways to observe the park - boat, car, walking by yourself.
I believe, in summer it will be even more comfortable to visit this place.

A very nice place to spend time with your family. A bit of long distances to get sometimes from one place to another, due to the size of the entire resort/safari, but I would not consider it that big of a problem. Enjoyable night light safari show, walking around with amazing light structure.
Beer and ale brewed on the site of a Trappist monastery, with guided tours, tastings and gift shop.
We visited La Trappe and did the tour and lunch after. We had a reservation ahead of time and glad we did as I believe the tour was full. The tour is a great way to learn about the monastery and brewery operations. And a way to see a little behind the scenes. And after learning quite a bit you get a beer! I didn’t know that the keg/draft and bottled beers were different and it was cool to get to compare them (and even better at the source). The tour guide was funny and informative.
The restaurant is large with a good amount of seating inside and out. The menu has many tasty sounding dishes. The food was good not great. The mustard served with my cheese plate was probably my favorite thing.
There is a store onsite that sells way more things that I was expecting. Along with the glasses and beer, they sell chocolate, honey, the tasty mustard, soaps and lotions, and cheese.
Overall it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re interested in beer or a lunch in pretty setting.

All the place is beautiful, the tour is really complete and explains everything, what is necessary to became a Trappist beer, how it is make, how the abbey works…
There is now a limited edition with another brewery, the Brewdog, that is 10% ABV.

Second time here. And I’ll always come back. The place is beautiful, the tour is very interesting, the food is delicious and the beer… oh, the beer… ❤️ I recommend the tour and the bitterbalen (traditional Dutch croquete). And don’t miss the store. Amazing!!!

If you are in The Netherlands, in Tilburg or Breda, you have to visit this craft brewery, there is a tour of the facilities and at the end there is a beer tasting, it is a very good experience and the beers are very tasty.

Amazing place. If you are here first time I recommend the guided tour. Both restaurant and a gift shop are great.

If you're interested in beer, history, and charity with no boundaries, then I would highly recommend visiting here. They offer tours in English in the morning where you learn the history of the monks, get to witness their brewing and bottling operation, and then experience it for yourself at the end of the tour. Our tour guide was friendly, jovial, knowledgeable, and a perfect host during our time there. I regrettably forget his name, but he was a gentleman.
The weather was perfect, so we sat outside their tasting room in the beer garden and sampled their fantastic menu of food and drinks. I cannot recommend this place enough and don't forget to visit their gift shop for all kinds of handmade products.

Beautiful place, awesome beer but poor service. We waited 10 minutes while there were only few tables and no one ordering. Waitress saw us but chose not to service until we complained about it outside.
Also this place closes at 7pm. We were there at 6pm, so 1 hour to close, but we were told nothing to eat can be ordered except nuts. We were supposed to have our dinner here… Its a pity that this awesome brewery has a poorly managed proeflokaal.

The excursion of the on-site brewing facilities is a must for beer, specifically Trappist beer, lovers :)) get ready to be charmed by the light-hearted humor of the tour guide and settle in for some top notch food and snacks.
Note: Only one English tour per day. Book in advance to avoid surprises ;)
Ida Reihani — Google review
Beautiful place for a brunch! Good variety of beers and food; an advice, it is better if you book the tickets for the tour in advance (2 days). They have one tour in English as well. Service was good for one server, he was always asking if we were ok, checking in the table - while the others were more into talking between them and avoiding customers.

Lovely mixed forest interspaced with some small lakes. Plenty of well signposted walking or cycling routes. BlackBerry bushes can be found in summer for a quick snack. Dotted around are several restaurants for food and drinks, like 'Boshuis Venkraai', 'Klein Speik', and 'Groot Speik'. You can alsof rent pedal cars at 'Piet Plezier' to take a nice trip around the forest.

Walked here today in a bit too hot weather. Fortunately it had rained yesterday which made walking in the sand a little easier.
Beautiful vast plains with views. I found few flowers, except for a rare dandelion and the heather, which is not yet in bloom.
It was wonderfully quiet, just a pity again from those terrible mountain bike trails that cross the hiking trails.
A deer was seen in the cordoned off middle section.

If I could give the Loonse en Drunense Duinen 10 stars, I would have! I am really glad that there is such a large nature park near me. I always took buckets and shovels with me with my son; you don't have a larger sandbox. And for myself, it's always nice to walk, take in the fresh air and collect my thoughts.
On the edges of this park are several hotels, campsites and eateries where you can spend the night or where you can take a break from what you were doing. You can walk, mountain bike, cycle, walk your dog, horseback riding, etc. in the nature reserve. There are special routes for mountain bikers, cycle paths for cyclists, hiking trails for walkers and bridle paths for those who ride horses.
I have been coming here so often since I was little and hope that it will remain free to visit. It cannot be the case that only the rich will soon be able to enjoy this beautiful nature.
Are you around here? Then this area is definitely recommended!
NB! During the holidays and on Sundays it can be very busy with good weather.

We bought the all inclusive tickets and parked at the designated area 15’ away - very pricey BUT the ticket also covers the fee for a bike rental which makes the whole experience complete! Cycling along the water channels is really awesome! The visit of the 2 windmills from inside is well worth the visit! We took the panorama boat but the view was really beautiful!

Really nice famous sight in the Netherlands which is worth seeing! However, keep in mind that transportation is a bit of a challenge as you should make a few changes if you come by public transport. Also, the ticket is around 16 euros and includes boat, windmill entrance and museum buildings. There isn't a separate ticket just for the windmills or just for the boat. If you want to save some money bring your own food as there aren't any shops close to the sights and just one cafe. Overall, it is a really nice sight. Keep in mind the strong wind!

Always one of the places you are told you must visit in the Netherlands but the local Dutch call it "too touristy". Really cool to see the history of the windmils as well as life how it used to be in the past. The only downside is it was around 19 euros to go to 2 museum and value wise it totally was not worth it. I understand the money is used to keep up the sites, preserve the history, etc but when it comes to straight value, it should have been priced at 8-10 euros. Overall nice bike path and walking paths as well.

Great UNESCO site. The wind mills are beautiful and the museum is nice.
The app to listen to the explanations doesn't work properly, but it helps.
You can rent a bike at the entrance near the waterbus stop, but be prepared they're probably the worst bike you'll ever ride.

A really beautiful place to visit. It was interesting learning about how the windmills function and what their purpose is. We had a wonderful tour guide who knew a lot about how to maintain and operate the windmills. If you get the opportunity to go inside the one windmill open to the public, take it! So interesting seeing the inside. There is a restaurant here and a very nice gift shop. Lots of opportunities for beautiful pictures.

I was there on a Friday afternoon, there were no people at all, only cyclists rarely passed by. This is a great place to just get high, you can see the oldest mill in the Netherlands, as well as walk along the beautiful streets near the canal. There are 19 windmills in total, which are considered a UNESCO heritage. Very unusual, I recommend.

Really enjoyed my time here. We drove into the area and there was parking available at EUR9.50. The parking is located next to a souvenir shop which provided bicycles for rent. From there it was a direct access to the windmills. Stunning sight and definitely worth the time to get there. Certainly do drop by on a nice day.

Nice place to visit, even it deserves to come from Amsterdam as a day trip plan. You can go through the site without ticket but if you want to visit inside of the mills and have chance to take a ferry you should buy ticket. Price of ticket is about 18 euro. It has cafe, souvenir shop, toilet and parking lots. Enjoy nature, beauty, creativity and engineering there. Don't forget to ask leaders to tell you the function of the mills.

Lovely spot but rather disappointing that they're not setup to handle visitors later in the day. We arrived about an hour before closing and the staff in the office unapologetically informed us that they could not sell us a ticket for anything because they only offered a complete deal and we wouldn't have time to do everything. Luckily we were able to come to an arrangement with the men running the boat tour otherwise it would have been a wasted trip.

This is our first time to this part of Europe and we were very pleased that 75 years ago the Queen decided to maintain the cultural heritage of the area and find the government funds to maintain and not tear down the old windmills.
More interesting was the fact that families of up to 15 would live inside each of the mills! Fun fact: when going at full speed the sales of the mill are going at about 90 mi an hour.
Worth the stop and the people were fabulous. Make certain that you bring a credit card as no cash is accepted.

**Kinderdijk, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a must-see for any visitor to the Netherlands. The 19 windmills, built in the 18th century, are a testament to the Dutch ingenuity and determination to control the water.**
[Image of Kinderdijk, UNESCO World Heritage Site]
The windmills are located in the Alblasserwaard region of the Netherlands, a low-lying area that is prone to flooding. The windmills were built to pump water out of the land, draining it and making it suitable for farming.
The windmills are still in use today, and they are a popular tourist destination. Visitors can take boat tours of the area, or they can hike or bike along the canals.
Kinderdijk is a beautiful and fascinating place to learn about the Dutch history and culture. It is a truly unforgettable experience.
Here are some of the things that make Kinderdijk a special place:
* The windmills are in excellent condition, and they are a testament to the craftsmanship of the Dutch people.
* The windmills are located in a beautiful natural setting, surrounded by canals, fields, and forests.
* Kinderdijk is a popular tourist destination, but it is still a relatively peaceful and serene place to visit.
If you are looking for a unique and memorable experience, I highly recommend visiting Kinderdijk.

This is a unique place, a Unesco heritage site with the highest concentration of windmills in the Netherlands. There are 19 windmills located side by side along the canals. In the past they used to pump water from the polders into the canals. You can enter two of them to see the interior, get a boat ride to enjoy the view from the water, and watch an informative movie. Overall great place . We can take sooo many good photos and place gives different angle and different size of windmill so we can enjoy the whole few without fail. But there they had few food court and very few food items so better take so good and drink with you so you can eat and walk for that long without getting tired. Boat service also available. We visited during winter of 2023 on boxing day. This is a unesco site with 19 fully functioning windmills and it’s a perfect place for families and friends to experience the cultural heritage of the netherlands. Opens at 10:30 so you can take the 10:00 water bus from rotherdam. This is an outdoor area which can get very windy so makesure to wear enough clothing. The site includes 2 windmill musuems, one boat musuem, a boat tour and a musuem about the history with a short 11 minute film. Very worth your time and money as we came here specifically from a cruise ship. Learned quite a lot of the ingenuity of the ditch and how they make the windmills work. There’s a cafe and souvenir shop at the ticket office near the entrance but i recommend you bring some pack lunch.

The windmills are well preserved history. Really cool to see them in person still in working condition. Interesting to learn how they were used to pump water out of the below sea level reclaimed land.
The Euromast observation tower offers 360 degree views from its top floor suites, including of Rotterdam's harbor. Hotel guests can enjoy a luxurious breakfast in bed here, and take in the sights from a viewing platform by staying in one of the two suites.
Might have been a little silly to go here on the coldest and rainiest day, but was an excellent way to wrap up our time in Rotterdam. The panoramic elevator is a must see to truly take in all the city has to offer, and I really recommend going at night. The lights are incredible! Do be mindful of the outer walks as the floors are made of brick that wiggle and make things a little scary!

Great viewpoint in Rotterdam. A first elevator brings you to the intermediate terrace and for extra 7 €, you can enter the rotating cabin that takes you to the top of the tower. Thrilling!

I have vertigo but my date REALLY wanted to go up there. If you have vertigo yo *can* go all the way, just make sure to use the elevator from the observation deck by the restaurant to the lift that takes you to the top, the other option is taking the steps and I barely managed to go up. Still, was lucky enough to get there by sunset and the views are breathtaking. The fact you can choose to block the view on the floor was a nice touch. Amazing place. Loved it.
M “Kelly” Barquero — Google review
Except for the panoramic restaurant and the rooms, where you can stay, Euromast is offering other activities as well. The rotating platform of the tower is giving you an incredible 360 view of Rotterdam. It can be reached by an elevator from the panoramic platforms, which are at 98m. and 112m. hight. The elevator then takes you to a hight of 185m., where you sit and enjoy the view. Actually, when you go on the rotating platform it will rotate 360 degrees twice, so, if you missed something the first time, you have one more chance to see it. There is also rappelling from the lower panoramic platform, which by itself is quite an adrenaline rush. It's worth visiting.

Euromast offers breathtaking panoramic views of Rotterdam that are simply mesmerizing. The best time to visit is during sunset, when the city is bathed in a warm golden glow. The sight is truly unforgettable. The tower provides an unparalleled vantage point to admire the city's skyline and surrounding landscapes. A must-visit for any visitor to Rotterdam.
Euromast is an iconic observation tower located in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Standing at a height of 185 meters, it is one of the tallest structures in the city. Built in 1960, Euromast was originally constructed for the Floriade, a horticultural exhibition. Over the years, it has become a symbol of Rotterdam's modern skyline and a popular tourist attraction. The tower offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy stunning 360-degree views of the city and its surroundings, making it a highlight for both locals and tourists alike.

The view is amazing but the experience is not well organized. You buy an upgrade ticket for ride to the top and reserve a time, but when you get there you need to wait 45min in a line at the deck in the middle of the tower with a crazy wind

Great views of Rotterdam and extra can be paid to go all the way to the top of the spire in a sat down spinning section. There's a glass floor option with this that can be toggled on and off at.your feet if you're not a fan. A good experience but can be very busy with queues. Recommended to book a timeslot before coming and go walk in the park beforehand. You will have to queue for the top lift bit no matter what, no time slot booking for that to walk on.

Great view from the platform. Also great experience in the euroscoop cabin! And even better, if you wanna go to the restaurant, make sure you go when it's getting dark. The city gets beautiful with all the lights!

Transmitter mast with an observation deck and restaurant about 100m above ground level. There is an even higher viewing area open in good weather. There are great views of the city which is a 25 minute walk. For tower aficionados this is a low tower and doesn't revolve or anything but they do have abseiling in summer. It does also have a visible wobble in bad weather. For me it's a great place to relax for an afternoon in the restaurant taking in the view. Although I would have to say the restaurant service is not the best. There are also some hotel rooms available apparently.
Jonathan Gorst — Google review
Went up the mast to enjoy the view with my family. A big success to take the elevator to the top and see everything.
Definitely worth the trip so it can only be recommended!
Jakob Henriksen — Google review
Excellent view around beautiful Rotterdam recommended for anyone visiting the city. Buy tickets in advance to scan and head straight in and up the elevator for wonderful panoramic views of Rotterdam.
We bought the Euroscoop ticket for a few extra Euros which was an interesting seated elevator ride all the way up to the top. It doesn't add a significant extra view depending on where you're seated but still worthwhile.
There's also a nice little cafe at the bottom for a coffee at the end of the ride.
Jack — Google review
Great view and very easy to get on top. Unfortunately the upper part of the tower is under renovation so we weren't able to get the full experience.
Nevertheless you have a wonderful view, as well as a restaurant, giftshop, little bar etc...

If you want to show the city and its history to a friend or to anyone, then this place is the best place to visit; you can show them all parts of the city of Rotterdam and they can understand how the city is divided naturally by the water 💦💦
They can take good memorial photos and videos with amazing backgrounds and views.
But,there are few things to consider when you are coming to visit the Euromast, check the weather, because if it's raining or too much wind, you won't enjoy it,and sometimes they will not allow you to go to the top if it's bad weather. Also, if you are visiting between October and April, it might be a little cold, so bring a jacket with you
Enjoy!!

We bought the eruoscoop (you get to go all the way to the top in a glass elevator) it was really nice, we could also stop at the halfway point to look and take pictures before going all the way up. The line to go on the lift went fairly fast and when we left through the gift shop I accidentally left my wallet but once I realized and came back for it, it had already been put away in lost and found! :) very nice staff

Must visit of Netherlands trip. The single moment which captures the essence of river front, speeding boats, greenery, Dutch architecture and the planned roadways...all a single glance with a 360 degree bird view.
When you come down, do not forget to take a lazily walk in the adjacent park.

We had Priscilla as our waiter. I couldn’t recommend her enough! She was incredibly attentive, thoughtful and sweet. Will be coming back here soon!

Something you just have to do when in Rotterdam! Use the app that you can download to learn how it all happened. Take the lift all the way to the top of the spire. It costs extra but it's a good ride you will see 360 covered, no wind swept hair!! Over Rotterdam at 185 metres high, the glass floor can be controlled to keep it white... So you DO not see underneath you. It's all very entertaining and interesting on a good day!!

It have a good view to the city. It’s cheaper if you buy the tickets online. I went to the top of the tower. The elevator(?) to the very top part has floor that turn transparent after you reach the top, there was also a button to turn it back to opaque if you want. That’s so cool!
S C — Google review
I bought ticket at the site and paid 26 euros (till the top 360 view point), (online this is just 19 euros). But I was not informed that the platform has not been rotating for a week, Ideally this should have been informed before purchase of the ticket instead of being told when already inside. It was no fun to see it without rotation, while bumping into people to get the 360 degree view. Or the ticket price should have been discounted.

What goes up must come down. Best view over Rotterdam. And a exciting place for a breakfast. The restaurant is pretty nice and food is ok. Combined with the view a perfect breakfast experience. Before you leave make sure you take the elevator to the top. Avoid rainy days. It’s really worth to enjoy the view on a sunny day.
Heinrich von Handzahm — Google review
Great experience within the Euroscoop tower. It gives a seamless 360° rotational view of Rotterdam with a glass floor. The tickets are affordable. It's a must do when you visit Rotterdam.
However, the restaurant is a bit pricey but worth it.

There were only a few people with us when we went on a weeknight, granted, it was unusually cold. The location is a little out of the way from other tourist attractions, but not too far where it’s not walkable. Be sure to check the weather as the views are actually pretty good on a clear night. It was really windy so we had to take shelter a couple of times to warm up.

Amazing views from the top level of the Tower. Though it's good to check weather beforehand, so you don't suffer from extreme wind or rain there. This way you can spend more time there, chill and enjoy the views
The Erasmus Bridge is a famous, 800-meter long suspension bridge that spans the River Nieuwe Maas in Rotterdam. Designed by Ben van Berkel, the bridge is often used as a symbol of Rotterdam and has been nicknamed The Swan.
Nice place for taking photos next to a huge constructed bridge. The most amazing is the view of ships and boats passing through the river. It is one of the largest ports in Europe. Actually it has captured me than Hamburg port in Germany. The skyline is also breathtaking. You take a brunch near the coastline and enjoy the view. However, it is a bot cold at night so take a jacket.

It's a very beautiful bridge specially at the time of sunset when the sun shines on it from one side. Watch the boats and merchant ships pass under the bridge, watch the giant cruise ship that's parked just near the bridge are some of the activities you could do to spend time on it.
Pranesh Dewangan — Google review
The best sunset spot in Rotterdam. You can’t go wrong with some snacks and a beer. Walk along the waters edge and take in a little bit of nature inbetween the urban landscape that surrounds you. Truly a magnificent architectural structure to admire.

Beautiful at sunset!!! (around 9.00 - 9.30 PM, check the time beforehand)
On my walk along the bridge in the evening, I enjoyed the pleasant breeze and the great views of cruise ships and modern buildings all along the way. Both ends of the bridge have shops and restaurants, as well as some water activities. The water and buildings turned golden at sunset.

Simple yet elegant suspension bridge in Rotterdam and while not large it is friendly to cars, trams, bikes, and pedestrians all with separated lanes. A quick half hour walk to the city centre from the cruise terminal from here.

I'll never travel to Rotterdam without this trip planner again
The Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen is a prestigious art museum located in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. It holds a remarkable collection of paintings, sculptures and other arts from the medieval period until the 21st century. Highlights include works by renowned masters such as Rubens, Rembrandt, Monet, Degas and Van Gogh.
An incredible piece of art!
We only passed by on our last day in Rotterdam, yet it was one of the most exciting places we had seen during our trip. It is mind blowing to look at and you only understand it when you’re actually there. Pictures are not enough.
Serge Flammang — Google review
Very large and varied collection. Everything from retro objects to works of the greatest artists from medieval times up to now. The depot (museum) is a great location, very much an artwork itself. Very much recommended.
Brandy Cools — Google review
Impressive building with a art world to be discovered. I can recommend a free guided tour. It will help you to understand the building, the collection and the way they store.
Dirk Breedveld — Google review
My family and I had a delightful visit to Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen, which proved to be an enriching and educational experience for all of us. The museum's architecture is a marvel in itself, with the mirrored façade reflecting the dynamic Rotterdam skyline, creating a futuristic and inviting presence in the city. Inside, the art collections were impressive, featuring a wide array of masterpieces from old master paintings to modern and contemporary art, as well as decorative arts and industrial design. Bear in mind that most of the exhibits are stored and cannot be seen!
We particularly enjoyed the interactive exhibits that provided deep insights into the preservation and restoration of artworks. It was fascinating to learn about the different climate zones within the depot and how they cater to the varied needs of different types of art. The guided tour was a highlight, offering us a behind-the-scenes look at the museum's operations, which was both informative and engaging.
The museum's approach to displaying art, including the use of Lina Bo Bardi’s ‘glass easels’ to show the front and back of paintings, was innovative and provided a unique perspective on the artworks. This transparency in showcasing the provenance and history of the pieces added depth to our understanding and appreciation of the art.
Overall, Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen is not just a museum but a living, working building where art is actively cared for and studied. Our visit was not only enjoyable but also left us with a greater appreciation for the art and the stories behind each piece.

I couldn’t get tickets to enter, but went to see it from outside and at night they have nice illuminations on the floor, and the architecture and door details was great to appreciate without entering the building though.

Actually it is open now, but there is construction works near by. It is nice gallery with modern shop. You should buy a ticket in advance because it’s popular place. After 8:30 guard can let you on the rooftop for free. There are restaurant and nice view point. You can watch cool light show after sunset near by entrance.
Polina List — Google review
Boijmans is great. It's modern, different and makes you think. The building itself is worth a picture and it also offers a great view from the rooftop and the possibility for a coffee and something nice. Do make reservations beforehand online.

This museum is closed for years now, and it will remain closed for years to come (no reliable planning, lack of funding, corrupion). The recent reviews here are in fact about the futuristic Depot (the storage of the works of art, most of them not on view) and NOT about the museum.

Don’t recommend to visit. It looks like a bad joke: there are famous paintings but you couldn’t see it due to it’s a storage. Only some of them in “highlights”. It’s hard to describe the disappointment. If it’s a museum, IKEA is a museum too.

Great experience! Absolutely stunning building, their expositions are well thought through.
They have a good selection of old Dutch masters.
Staff is very friendly and helpful and everything is in descriptive English for non Dutch speakers.
Amtosphere is great, only walking through the building and their pavilion is worth the trip. They also occasionally have some pop up expo in their garden.

Modern-day cube houses in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, were designed by Piet Blom in the early 70s. The unusual dwellings are perched on pillars and offer an interesting living experience, as well as being a safe community away from the bustle of city life.
Really amazing architecture! Definitely great photo op! Went there just to take pictures, but apparently I didn’t do enough research to know that you can actually go inside the one of them, so yeah don’t make my mistake.

I had the opportunity to visit Cube House in Rotterdam, and even though I didn't explore the interior, the exterior alone left a lasting impression with its remarkably unique architecture. I highly recommend taking the time to visit the area and soak in the striking design. For those curious to delve deeper, you can step inside the house for a mere 3 euros, offering a chance to experience its intriguing interior firsthand.

It is interesting to observe the houses, but in my opinion, it is not really a surprise how the houses work. However the interior is nice. You are charged €3 for visiting a house. Some housea are private houses or offices that are not open for the public.
As far as thw concept is concerned, it is interesting

The cube houses in Rotterdam are an architectural marvel that truly captivated me. Their unique design is both innovative and visually stunning, making them a must-see attraction. Exploring the interiors was like stepping into a modern art exhibit, with each cube offering a different perspective and experience. The location of the cube houses is fantastic, situated in the heart of Rotterdam with easy access to other attractions. We also visited a small museum to see what’s inside for €3. It was nice to see how people live there and how ergonomically everything is set inside

undoubtedly one of the most unique housing developments you will ever see, in the Netherlands and in the world. it’s free to wander around at your leisure, €3 to enter one of the houses and take a little tour. well worth the small price. gives you a fascinating look into how exactly you’d live in one of these houses. also ends up making a very nice pedestrian bridge over one of the busiest roads in rotterdam and you can watch the traffic go by. pretty cool at night

Nice place to take pictures. Can pay 2€ (3€ for normal) to see the inside of the cube (not a definitely to go in but cool to check out as well). Also a hostel as well!

Cool to see how people would live in these houses and definitely answers that question.
I do believe that they could've styled the interior design more homely so that you don't have to guess how people would actually use certain spaces that weren't obvious like the kitchen and bedroom. Sort of how IKEA displays small rooms fully furnished.

It is kinda funny to walk through the kubus museum or rather kubus house and see the inside. But it is still a house. If you like architecture it might be interesting or for tourists. Otherwise just watch the pictures on internet. Its 3,- for adults and it takes about 5-10 min to see it including your own pictures.

Such a cool place to see! Very unique architecture. People actually live in those houses, few of them were even for sale. Make sure to visit a museum, it’s only €3 to enter but you will see how it is to live in one of those cubes! Well worth it!

It’s rather a lifetime opportunity to see one from inside, to not be disappointed do not expect too much, as it’s not a museum. It seems the owner lives there, so the experience is more like visiting a friend’s house for the first time than visiting a museum exhibition. If it’s crowded inside just wait a bit ‘cos people get in and out constantly. For EUR 3 it was a good experience, the tickets are available on the spot.

A cool experience, the whole complex is interesting to see from the outside, free of charge. The visit to one of the properties is interesting, it lasts about 15 minutes and the flow of tourists, on the day I went, was high. I recommend it for the affordable price and the iconic strength of the construction. The mark of an era. As I live in Amsterdam, I had the pleasure of seeing a house that is more than 100m square.

An interesting, colourful and nice place to visit in Rotterdam. I had to purchase a ticket €3 to satisfy my curiosity of what it feels like to be/live inside the cubes, and I wasn’t disappointed. I loved every moment spent inside the cube and I definitely recommend. It’s centrally located within the city with the tram station and shopping centres just a couple of feet away.

Unique structuralist architecture in the heart of Rotterdam. Piet Blom designed to be like a cathedral where you look up so the pillars are the tree trunks and the cubes themselves are the treetops. People actually live there so good to be quiet as one roams the grounds. Some units even have a patio area. One unit is reserved as a paid museum. Must see in Rotterdam.

Interesting building and architecture. There are some places that you really need to see with your own eyes as pictures don’t do it justice. This place is not one of those. Having seen all the pictures on the internet, there was really very little that was captivating in person.

These wonderful building we're designed in 1977 by piet blom. Fortunately for the curious of us, house 70 is a museum and open to the public at the charge of €3 for adults and €2 for seniors and students. Although it won't take long to look around, they are definitely worth a look for the curious of you. Radiators hang at odd angles and furniture is fitted to the odd shape walls and maximise the space. A fascinating place to visit but not for everyone would they be a viable living space.
Markthal is an intriguing, futuristic-looking building with a large, covered market hall inside. The building is located close to the Blaak train and metro station, making it a convenient place to shop or eat.
The Holiday Inn Express Rotterdam - Central Station is located in a central area of the city, making it easy to get around. It also offers a lobby bar and free breakfast.
We found this hotel to be clean, comfortable, friendly, and a great value. Twin beds were comfortable. Shower was great. We were able to store our luggage in a locked room for later pickup after we checked out.
Location near train station, restaurants, and other attractions is very convenient. Breakfast is a little light on protein, but otherwise good quality.

Top notch service. The heaters were fantastic, I’d just come from a Hampton by Hilton in Amsterdam and the rooms were freezing. Thankfully the temperature control was marvellous.
Nice view of Rotterdam city from window.
As I frequently travel more and more, the smaller things like storage; where to pop your suitcase becomes increasingly important. The window sills hold your luggage and goods whilst the table can be left free for your laptop / other belongings.
I really appreciated that at this hotel as you can see from the pictures. And because I went when it was very cold the window sills acted as a fridge for the milk I’d purchased! And it worked well.
Breakfast: served at a very tight and congested area, not the best selection. However the yoghurt was surprisingly good.
Some beans would go a long way.
Recommendation to the hotel: give some slippers will ya!

Honestly, this hotel has the features to give it a really high rating. Great location, good rooms (maybe a tad small) but I booked a quite basic one. The staff is well prepared and helpfull. I arrived at a busy time so I did wait around 6 or 7 minutes, but that's very expectable around 18:00 in a hotel. Parking was good too.
The breakfast was a bit different, I had to pick a time slot but my preferred one was not available. They gave me a bag that I could fill at the breakfast buffet. I got what I wanted for breakfast but a little different. All good

Stayed here for 2 nights. The reception staff and General manager made me feel welcomed. After coming off a flight from the US at 9am they allowed me early-check in (subject to availability of course).
The Location is great, only about 2-3 blocks from Central Station and an easy walk. You're right outside a tram station as well, to get around Rotterdam. I would just walk to most of the places nearby as nothing I really wanted to see was more than a 15 minute walk.
Room was simple but well appointed. It did not have a mini-fridge or iron. Usually these Express hotels are for business travelers who might need to iron a shirt. The Air condition worked well although you could open the window if needed.
Breakfast had plenty of seating. The spread was simple and standard for a continental breakfast in Europe. It had sliced deli meats, 2 cheeses, croissants and toast, a couple of cereals, and warm hard boiled eggs. I really wish they had a better hot section instead of warmed eggs I'm happy. There was only 1 coffee machine and the line would get long at times.
Overall I would recommend staying here because of the location and really great value. It has public transportation nearby, and all the staff I interacted with were really amazing. They had staff speaking Dutch, English, French, and Spanish, and probably more. They had a private room to store luggage in case you wanted to explore the city before or after check-in.

1, someone stole my laptop all IDS from breakfast Table even managements from hotel don't care about the incident even don't sorry or looked the CCTV footage because maybe Hotel staff related this, also they knew me cause i am staying long time
2.Reception service was very rude and unprofessional specially the supervisor and team leader, every time i went and get a stupid lame excuse i don't know come tomorrow or call managements
3.managements service is very bad ,My rooms landline was not working from beginning i made 4 times complain and report to manager also but no one even came to checked
4.Housekeeping service also was bad every time they clean the room but cleaning lady used to lefts some dirty rags ,bins in the rooms and have to call them again to remove
5. There was no safety and no security so how peoples from outside came and took your staff and no one know who came who lefts
All together i had no choice to change Hotel because my company had contact with Holiday INN that's why i was not able to changes

Managements and Netherlands Authority should get rid of that's kind stupid service

One of the most limited low cost hotels I have stayed in the last years. The positive aspects are the size of the room and bathroom (comparing to other facilities of the hotel), and some of the staff that try their best (not all, some were very unfriendly).
The breakfast is extremely limited in terms of items and their quality (even the peanut butter of very low quality), no cheese spread, gluten-free just a simple granola, etc.
The room is very empty, no minibar. The hotel has nothing besides rooms, and a very squished reception with some food/drinks to pick and pay next to it and the breakfast place. In the same trip we have stayed some days at the Marriott, just 2-3 blocks from the Hollyday Inn, and price not too higher, but the Marriott was so much better.
At the end of my staying, and additional surprise was that they announced that they needed to charge me an extra because the fully prepaid reservation did not cover their full prince (I had neve seen that before).
If you arrive before 3pm, expect long waiting time to start checking in just after 3pm.
Thus, I recommend to look for other hotels in Rotterdam.

After 9 nights for sure I will not visit this hotel again. In my humble opinion this is a not a 4 star hotel.
1. Stains on all walls and mattress
2. Dirty chair
3. Very (!) limited breakfast
4. Very small rooms with nothing else except a basic TV and hairdryer
Good part:
Friendly staff
Good location

Cleanliness in general very good, unfortunately, as you can see in the photo, there were blood stains on the
Bed. I obviously put them open, because it may be that they have been overlooked. But the good cleaning staff simply covered it again and ignored it.
Really recommended for a short stay of 1-3 days, everything about it is a disaster. Breakfast, the same every day, air conditioning (as the windows cannot be opened) does not run very well and cools or heats the room very little. The view is also not exactly the best but the location is very good Central, all in all bearable but about the cleanliness, toilet brushes on the toilets or let alone a cupboard in the room would be really desirable

Very convenient location from Rotterdam central station..Good comfortable rooms with continental breakfast..Pricing on a higher side. No complimentary water bottles provided.. extension of stay possible but might be expensive than initial booking..Always check online and also with reception and then make payment based on which ever is cheaper

First time here. Lovely personnel. Breakfast bar could do with a more efficient layout. Plates are at the back, past the bar. Tea bags etc are past the water dispenser. Otherwise, it's all good

Good hotel at convenient location very near to central train station, hotel rooms are clean and neat. It would be great to have room freshener in room.Breakfast is average but not bad. Our room had a bathroom sink issue, it was quickly resolved by Chene, Thanks!

Bad
1. Very limited breakfast options and found hair in the breakfast more than once.
2. Room was not cleaned by housekeeping on one of the days
3. Lacks necessary things in the room like a toilet brush.
4. Stains on walls and curtains..
5.bedding was too small for bed and when making requests to get proper bedding the request was just ignored.
Good
1. Friendly staff
2. Close to public transport
3.ability to leave bags before and after check-in

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night. The best thing about it is the location. It is close to almost everything in Rotterdam. However, the rooms are really outdated. The carpet is not clean. There are a lot of things that need to be improved. There isn't much choice in breakfast.
I recommend the hotel if you are staying for 1 night.
2 stars for location and staff.

Using the parking lot is uncomfortable. Whenever I enter the parking lot, the car number is not automatically recognized, or there is no way to tag the hotel key. Also, there are 4 lifts, but 2 of them don't go to the ground floor that is linked to the parking lot. Probably I don't know how to use the services better.

Rooms were quiet, and mattress and shower were serviceable. But there were some issues. The phone was nothing most than a prop or paperweight. I wasn't connected to any system. 0 dial tone. The temperature was fixed and wouldn't go below 19c. I requested an iron (s8nce there were not any in the rooms?) And I got a toy. No steam, it wouldn't heat high enough to function. Breakfast was disappointing, especially since some other locals hotels have a beautiful typical Dutch spread. Housekeeping was a riddle... didn't take out trash. Generally speaking the service was good, but it did seem that some of tue folks would benefit from some training.

Location, location, location. Great rooms for the price you are paying. Front desk staff is very helpful with any questions. Would definitely recommend this.
Willie Greene III — Google review
We had no housekeeping come into our room across a 3 night stay despite speaking to reception about it. We had to ask for towels, toilet paper and tea/coffee.
We saw housekeeping on our floor but for some reason kept skipping our room. We tried leaving the sign requesting house keeping on the door and we tried not putting it on the door - it made no difference.
Eventually our bin was overflowing with rubbish and there were wet towels everywhere where they'd not been collected.
The location is good and breakfast is OK but limited choice.

The location is very central to all activities; central station, shops, and restaurants. The room is always kept clean, the breakfast is delicious, and the staffs are very helpful. Highly recommended.

I have read abt not so good review and I had to write this to give my experience. I would say my experience was great overall.
Room is good size, I have got the room facing city, mid floor. Though it’s within walking distance from Rotterdam central station, I find that it’s still quiet. Location is great!
Breakfast was with acceptable selection.
One appreciation note - I arrived ahead of checkin time and hotel/staff is nice enough to offer stroopwafel with coffee (perhaps due to IHG membership). Upon completion of the local Netherlands taste, the room was ready for checkin. Staffs were attentive and warm.
One thing to note - hotel room is not equipped with USB port for charging. Guest would need to bring your own power plug.
Overall my experience was great.

I wouldn’t know what the hotel is like because I’m still stuck far after check in waiting to get my room. But I know enough about my experience to know the hotel is not being run in a smooth manner.
Loved it!
Very well curated tour. And the structure and engineering are just so impressive.

Very interesting Information about the storm surge barrier. Fantastic explanation by the Tour Guide. English, Dutch, German Language is not a real issue. Incredible engineering. A must see.
Roger Zenker — Google review
A visit to the site includes a 15-minute film, as well as a walk and a tour of the facility. A total of about 1 hour. We bought a "Keringhuis + English Tour" ticket for 4.50 euros per adult. The girl who was explaining to us is called Antonella. She is very nice and competent. The visit is worth it!

This was really awesome!! The structure was huge! Really interesting/interactive museum and the tour was definitely worth it. Mica was our tour guide and was really knowledgeable and answered all our questions! The tour actually took you up close and under the barrier. Really awesome site, would be even better if there was a train station nearby!

A marvel of technology. I did the English Tour from 13:00 to 14:00, absolutely loved it. The tour guide was patient and explained everything thoroughly. The front desk staff also helped get me a taxi (since Ubers don’t usually travel here) 10/10, would recommend!!

Really enjoyed our visit to this magnificent piece of engineering. The visitor centre is informative, even for non-Dutch speakers. There is a helpful movie at the start that explains the whole scheme at a high level, and then the 10-11 stopping points on the audio tour are also very informative without being overwhelming.
For 2.50 per adult, it's an absolute no brainer!
I hope to come again in the future for a tour and/or when the gate is being tested :)
Seb Thalanany — Google review
As a civil engineer this place is well worth the voyage. I called ahead and asked if they could do an English tour, which they graciously accommodated. The tour had amazing access and the guide was extremely knowledgeable with technical questions. The inside of the museum was all in Dutch so I didn't get as much out of it. To get here either take a taxi direct, or from hook of Holland which has busses.
Joseph Goessling — Google review
The staff were so friendly and helpful. My husband had learnt a lot maeslantkering in school and had never expected to actual visit many years later. There was only a Dutch tour guide who was already busy but Peter, one of the engineers took a little time out of his day to take us down to the barrier and tell us all about it. Fascinating and very informative. Thanks Peter, an experience we will never forget.

Sushi and Salmon was not fresh. The food wasn’t that delicious, the cappuccino taste liquor. They didn’t refill the Salmon. 2 and a half hours our time but they closed after 1 1/2 hour, we were there 7pm, no pasta or noodles, overall, not worth for 40€. We’ve been to a lot of buffet, but this is the worst

Watertuin is an all you can eat buffet with seafood and meat grill. They have a large variety of dishes to choose from as well as desserts. The restaurant is beautiful on the inside with koi fish and a lovely walking path with pretty plants.
The meat and seafood station is very nice the employees are kind and friendly. The meat and seafood is very delicious. However, everything else is quite mediocre and normal. It is tasty but nothing amazingly special for its price.

This is not the same place as we visited years ago. Still had the good memory about this place until last night. The food is a huge disappointment. Sad to say this. But last time for us to be here.

Amazing and exciting restaurant to eat in with a unique Japanese style garden that you can walk in. Food is great however the chef behind the grill bar does not cook steaks to your liking of rarity. We asked for rare and medium rare but was just given a strange look, no response and a medium-well cooked steak which was not good. Overall a nice experience though.

We made a reservation for a two hour visit. at the checkout they calculated 2.5 hours for us, I couldn’t explain anything because I don’t speak Dutch myself, and the cashier doesn’t speak English and doesn’t try to call someone who could help speak English. In total, I had to pay for the extra 2.5 hours that we were not there. plus, after 21:00 the food is taken away. I don’t understand why they sell tickets at a time when there is no food anymore... I consider this all a deception (especially the situation with more time than we reserved), so I strongly do not recommend visiting this establishment.

Great place to visit with a group. They have all the food you can eat with all the flavours you can taste. You will have a view of the great gardens from your table. All soft drinks and beer at on the house. So all you need for your dinner party.
We we're with a party off 2 for just a bite to eat. That's not so nice with shouting family's and drinking soccerteams surrounding you. At the table that was pointed to you by the staff. Most nice food was mostly gone be groups that had probably there first meal this month by the look on there plates.
We went to several locations off the watertuin but this one was not the best. It's really to bat because the garden is really great.

Food is mediocre. They dont have any signs at the food, so you never know what is in there. Thats bad for people with allergies or vegetarians etc. Very little options for vegetarians. A lot of stuff i just store bought and warmed up. Or already dry, from being on display.
They still use plastic straws for the drinks. Not a fan of that.
Kids play with the kois in the ponds. Noone from the staff says something against it.
The drinks are not included. The waiters get the drinks confused.
Tables and chairs are dirty.
Otherwise the location itself looks very nice and staff is friendly.

I was very excited to have a nice dinner at this place. It was very disappointing. The lady at the cash register was rude. The sushi was very limited in terms of choices and the fish didn’t taste fresh. The steak had a very strange after taste. Would be worthwhile for the staff to look over the quality of the food and the manner of the employees.
Other than that beautiful place.

Artisanal brewery in a 1697 windmill offering guided tours, plus a tasting room & a restaurant.
I've been here a few times on trips to the Netherlands and have enjoyed it every time. There's a great range of beers from different breweries, good food and friendly service. Sitting outside in the sun this afternoon with the sails of the mill turning above was a real delight. Also took the opportunity to tour the working mill after a brewery tour. What an amazing day

Very nice experience. The guy leading the guided tour was friendly and shared many interesting details, they let you see basically every part of the production, you can take photos, and 3 samples of their beers are included. Cafe inside is nice, and if the weather is good, outside is a very spacious terrace with a view on a windmill. They have 20 beers on the tap, their own, but also from the other breweries. For the fans, visit of their shop in the room next to the bar is recommended, you will find many of their beers that might not be so easy to get otherwise. For the food - bitterballen were ok, and the duck breast with potato and sauce tasted amazing, even though the portion was way too small.

One of the most beautiful designed railway station. It's a more or less a super Mall. Beautiful architecture design, light works, restaurants and amazing surrounding buildings. Its looks more beautiful in night when lights are on. Love the beautiful place. Well done.
The De Haar castle is a large, 19th century, medieval-style palace with landscaped gardens that host regular fairs and events. The castle is a popular tourist destination and is home to the Van Zuylen van Nijevelt van de Haar family.
A wonderful place to visit with your family, so many incredible rooms with beautiful furniture, the park outside is also incredible, you can bring your own snacks or you can visit the cafe, you can't take your baby stroller inside, parking is available and you can take photos and videos inside.
Well organized staff and you can read the history of every room on the spot on a huge beautiful pamphlet.

I had an great experience visiting Castle De Haar! 🏰✨ Despite the slightly higher costs, the grandeur and beauty of the castle and its surroundings made it well worth it.
The sheer size of the castle was huge. Its magnificent architecture and meticulous attention to detail transported me to a bygone era. Exploring the lavishly decorated rooms and expansive gardens was like stepping into a fairytale. The picturesque surroundings added to the enchantment, creating a truly magical atmosphere. 🌳🌷🌞
While the ticket prices may be on the higher side, the exceptional quality and maintenance of the castle make it clear why. The staff's commitment to preserving the historical significance and beauty of Castle De Haar is evident in every corner. 📚🗺️
Well worth a visit if you are in Utrech or close by. It's a perfect destination for history enthusiasts, architecture lovers, and anyone seeking a unique and unforgettable adventure. A true awesome Castle in The Netherlands. Do visit the Garden and the Castle. But most important, it is good to read the history and heritage before you enter the Castle. This gives you a good image of the Castle and the building next to the Castle. This building is still in ownership of the family and they do visit it very often.
The garden is beautiful and completed with several small items from the past. Enjoy this view and the environment via the two restaurants and cafe!
Enjoy and I will for sure be back to enjoy this place.

The biggest castle in the Netherlands with astonishing gardens! Even though I visited here on a rainy summer day, it was a peaceful walk through the gardens. I was not super impressed by the interior, the kitchen looks dazzling though! The history of the castle is also interesting to read/watch.
I find it also pretty easy to reach by public transportation, there is a bus stop right in front of the castle. It is free to visit with the Museumkaart!

Kasteel de Haar is the largest castle in the Netherlands. It's fairy-tale-like and in excellent condition both inside and out.I liked the opportunity to see not only the grand halls but also the kitchen, bathrooms, and toilets. The castle is surrounded by an extensive park. The French part is magnificent, it's just that you wish the flowers were already planted in their designated spots. The most interesting part of the English section is the deer.

Really more of a country retreat for rich barons than a castle proper, but still impressive and the interior has some beautiful stained glass and other items. The Castle outer building is surrounded by a cool green scum moat, and you have to walk through pretty gardens to get to the Castle proper.
Once you're in, you have to go down stairs and around a corner to a pinch point where you have to scan your ticket again for entry. They're quite strict about no bags/backpacks and have free lockers - a bit annoying as every other historical place we've been in Europe has allowed purses (they even said if you have a jacket you have to continue to wear it and can't carry it, ridiculous as it's quite warm as you go through the Castle). Displays are well-described, and they've got a good system of cables/signs for one-way progression through the Castle. Good visit, worth 1-1.5 hours of your time.

Most beautiful castle and gardens. Not possible to get there if you have to rely on public transport, so keep in mind that extra cost will be required to rent a car or hire a taxi.
Booking in advance is a good idea - you book a time slot and then don't have to wait to go inside. We booked about 2 weeks in advance.
You can easily spend a whole day there - both the residence and the gardens are absolutely magnificent!

We visited on a Friday outside school vacation, there was no wait and the place was not crowded at all, it was perfect to enjoy the park and a quiet visit of the castle. It is an interesting visit, the volunteers (guides) clearly enjoy sharing their knowledge and passion, we had a great time.
It is a bit pricey for what you get though, and you do not get to see much of the castle (still under renovation), and none of the outbuidlings. I would also recommend going a bit later in the season to be able to enjoy the gardens and park more.

Very nice place for a walk, the castle is magnificent and the garden is very peaceful.
I don't see why there are such strict limits for inside visits. When we visited we had to wait several hours to be admitted in a slot with available places, at the same time it was not that crowded outside.
Depending where you travel from - the public transport to the castle might be a bit of a challenge.

Absolutely loved it here even though it took me 3 hours to reach it. I only had time to do the castle tour and it was much too rainy and wet for me to explore outside but I’ll have to come back during the warmer weather to do that one day when things are in full bloom. I like that there were free lockers so you didn’t have to lug your bags/coats/umbrellas around too. It’s a self guided tour so you can do it at your own pace and there are big boards in each room that tells you about each room in several different languages along with most rooms having attendants to tell you more information should you so choose. Some of the staircases are quite narrow so you have to be very careful going up and down some of those but I enjoyed learning about the castle and the people who lived there and how they lived. I spent a good 1.5 hours there and only explored the castle. I’m sure you could easily spend 2.5 hours if you took in the grounds/gardens as well.

A small group of us stopped by on the way back from Amsterdam. The place is beautiful, and the employees throughout the castle were very knowledgeable. We ate at the little restaurant which just recently opened. The food was pretty good, and our server was very polite.

Nice place to visit. It's easy to reach from the city centre (buses 28 and 111), and the self-tour inside the castle is well sinalised and oriented by friendly employees. The castle was built in the 1300s, but was actively inherited and used all these centuries, so there are a lot of history and details inside. Very well kept. The gardens/park are very beautiful and I believe that in summer it's even nicer, as picnic is allowed. Good to go with all the family.
