Lewes Castle & Museum is a 16th-century timber-framed house that showcases local history exhibits and hosts events and weddings. Although it's not an actual castle, the remains and grounds are impressive, with visitor information panels that could use some refreshing. The spiral stairs are narrow but manageable, offering great views in all directions from the top. The gardens are beautiful, with plenty of benches for visitors to enjoy.
Lovely place to visit. The view is amazing. Lewes is fantastic. A lot of restaurants and coffee shops. Bakeries. Nice food and nice people. I recommend visit Alfriston Village.
Adriano Oliveira — Google review
Would recommend visiting, great view from the top and some signs giving informative information. Great little museum, very interesting visit. Be careful going up the tower, although they have added wood to make the steps level on the spiral staircase, they are very narrow so if you have massive feet or vertigo be very careful!
elenasabrina — Google review
While only a relatively small castle and grounds, it is a very interesting and informative place. The team in the Museum where welcoming and friendly. Stunning views in all directions. Great picnic area that is set out with toys for the kids when the weather is fine. We did the Dragon Egg hunt (Easter Sunday) which the kids thoroughly enjoyed.
Nick Marfleet — Google review
Well, I loved it. Easter Sunday, sunshine and no crowds. Not a huge castle but beautiful (views and gardens), lots of benches - just perfect.
Not the best of photos, I know....
Eva Hyatt — Google review
Beautiful castle with museum - on the small side but the staff were really helpful and friendly. Lovely views from the top of the castle. Geared towards school trips and education but still a nice place to visit
Lindsey Boyd — Google review
The views, the views! You can see why the Norman's built a castle here, so high up and with stunning vistas when you get to the top. Be aware that the spiral staircases are narrow and steep, medieval masons didn't go in for roominess. But take heart, there is also a decent sized garden with a central tree half way up which you can rest a while and contemplate.
Col TheIronMan — Google review
Great little museum with archaeological finds from the Palaeolithic to medieval times. A short film on the history of Lewes with insight on some of the unique festivals. The castle is a hike up the motte and a climb up the tower as well as the gatehouse, so not brilliant if you have bad knees and hips. The views are amazing, so totally worth it.
Phil Stevens — Google review
Interesting place to visit and read about. Really castle remains and grounds rather than an actual castle. Some of the visitor information panels had seen better days but it looked like these could be replaced soon. Not too strenuous to walk up, though the spiral stairs are obviously narrow and take some careful manoeuvring. With great views in all directions, it's obvious why the castle was built here.
Mr B — Google review
It is actually a part of what used to be Lewes Castle, at least that what I gathered from all the descriptions and model of the castle. Despite this it has all the necessary features of a castle. I loved the gate and the keep. These still show a typical castle should have. In addition, one can enjoy the whole country side from top of this. The museum is small but rich. Thoroughly enjoyed our time. Just to let everyone know, you have to climb up the stairs all the way tothe top. I didn't see any accessible way.
S Shahriar — Google review
Museum was good, not very big but you can learn a bit. Castle grounds were nice to walk around. Enjoyed the flowers and being able to go inside some areas
Sophie Grace — Google review
Historic sites with great little museum. Reasonably priced. Weather was poir the day of visit but would have stayed longer.
There's a great dressup room to try on some clothes and take some photos.
Tony Maytom — Google review
Lovely castle with great views and historical value. Museum was very interesting too. Not too busy, nice and peaceful. Friendly staff :)
Hamish Allan — Google review
Purchased combined tickets for the castle and Anne Cleeves House.
You walk up steps to the top to reach the castle. It seems very high, but actually the steps are very manageable.
The views from the top are beautiful. You can walk right to the top of the castle.

Nice small castle and museum. Worth a stop by. Good view of Lewes from top

If you love history you will enjoy it..not disabled friendly so if you got Mobility issues or need to use a wheelchair or power chair it's not ideal..ticket office inside museum have to pay to get in..very impressive castle 🏰 lots of notice boards telling you the history of the place..

Lewes Castle set in a beautiful period area, with outstanding views from the Castle towers. Access climb to towers via wide steps, with seating along the way. The views are stunning from the towers with maps to distant view points. The photographs hopefully show the beauty seen from various points of the towers. Very interesting place to visit. Lots of small car parks dotted close to and around the main centre. North Street Car Park, £2.00 all day! Side streets and period shops add to the feel of the visit, mixed with shops and a brewery, Harvey's.
keith weston — Google review
Well worth visiting if you're in town - some very interesting history, and awesome views from the top. At the top there is a lovely peaceful garden with benches and spectacular view over Lewes and the surrounding countryside.
The Anne of Cleves House museum in Lewes, Sussex displays furnishings and other crafts from Henry VIII's fourth wife, including lovely examples of Tudor art. The property reopened to the public after two years' closure in 2016 and is well worth a visit for history buffs or anyone interested in Tudor architecture.
Husband and I were first visitors to this beautiful property after 2 years' closure. If you love Tudor history or architecture this is a must see in historic Lewes

So much more than you first think. Whilst she never lived there it was part of her divorce settlement, having been initially built as a house by a wealthy yeoman garnet.
The lower floors are well presented , with one room containing a tapestry but the jewel in the crown for me was the magnificent upper floor.
Definitely worth seeing.
Keith “Cito” Barry — Google review
A small house with only a few rooms, however some of the most amazing historically kept, beautiful examples of Tudor rooms I’ve ever seen, a dreamy way to spend an hour really taking in Anne of Cleves house. It’s truly magnificent you can almost see Anne coming down the corridor- small and mighty 10/10
Francesca Allen — Google review
For £6 per adult there isn't much to see. But combining with a visit to Lewes Castle (as suggested by staff) makes it better value and more interesting overall, which I'd recommend.
michael harnett — Google review
Visited the museum on a 'Tudor Tuesday' to watch the wonderful Gallyard Dancers performing in their authentic costumes. It's a beautiful period building with antique furniture, once belonging to the estate of Anne of Cleves. The lovely garden provided a welcome retreat in August & there is a small shop where I was pleased to find several biographies of Anne. Although there is no cafe within the museum, there is a small takeaway in the gardens of Southover Grange 5 minutes down the High Street. To make a day of it, I recommend buying the combined entrance ticket with Lewes Castle. The ruins of the Priory of St Pancras in Priory Park are also 10 minutes away and free to visit.
Janice Bonney — Google review
Yep, like a lot of others, we fell for the line and thought it was her house. She never set foot in the place, it was part of her divorce settlement. Would we have gone there if it was simply called a nice Tudor house and garden? Probably not, so some creative marketing fooled us to part with our cash, but like Anne of Cleves herself, we'll never visit the place again.
nickthegog — Google review
Purchased combined tickets for this and the castle.
There is a lovely rear garden with quince and pear trees.
The house is interesting and preserved to resemble how it would have been.
Tia Sotiriou — Google review
Lovely museum. Admittedly a rather tenuous link to the lady herself, but well worth visiting. A cafe is mentioned on some guides but doesn't seem to be there anymore.
David Knight — Google review
Combine with visits to Lewes castle (a combined ticket can be booked online) and the remains of Lewes Priory for an interesting historical day out an hour or so by train from London. Friendly and informative welcome, information cards and booklets in the rooms, childrens' activities, toilets, small gift shop on site.
Lyndsey — Google review
Very interesting place to visit. Doesn't take very long to go round but a lovely house to visit if in the area.
Debbie Gifford — Google review
If you enjoy history, especially Tudor history, then this is a must visit property. Everyone sees differently so I cannot tell you all about it, only you can decide after a visit. It is not expensive and usually ample parking outside (Ringo app and payment, I paid £4 for three hours but only needed 2 hours). Check the visiting prices because you can get a deal to visit the castle as well.
Wonky — Google review
Visited this medieval house made famous for being part of Henry VIII’s divorce settlement. Part of a ticket deal with Lewes Castle. Inside contains period features and furniture. Lots of information on the history of the house. Good value for money to spend 30 minutes to an hour exploring.
Phil Stevens — Google review
Very interesting place with lots of information.
Lovely garden.
George Seears — Google review
Lovely place to visit and spend part of an afternoon. It takes maybe 20 mins tops to go round. But the sense of history is heavy here and lovely to see.
Andrew Goodwin — Google review
Useful, interesting, and educational for young ones studying the Tudors at school. Good selection of hands on activities. Lots of good talking point items, though you the adult will need to know what to look for and do some wider reading first if history isn't your area.
Decent selection of informational booklets in each room, and very nice staff.
Good pocket money things in gift shop.
Sasha Distan — Google review
Barely anyone there when we went so plenty of time and space. It's only small but for half price with English Heritage card it was well worth it. Loved the smell of the old wood throughout...in fact there was quite a lot of interesting smells. Learnt the origin of a few well known phrases, which I love. Had a laugh trying on the Tudor clothing. You can't go wrong with this place at this price really.

Small but we'll worth a visit. Beautiful
building with a simple layout. Terrific
bedroom - lots of wood and a superb
ceiling. Interesting kitchen. A parlour
with lovely furniture. Cast iron displays.
How they made cannons is fascinating.
Delightful tea-room with a great garden.
Access from the road for those needing
refreshments only. Educational for kids
and adults. Check opening times.

Coral Romford Greyhound Stadium is a popular dog racing venue that has won awards for its quality. With a capacity of over 4,300 people, the stadium offers various amenities including five bars and three glass-fronted restaurants with views of the track. Visitors can enjoy watching the races, placing bets on the dogs, and indulging in food and drinks while children have their own play area. The stadium's rich history and diverse culture make it a favorite among both locals and tourists.
Amazing atmosphere!!! I did not pay to enter as we were invited. There is a small carpark so be sure to come early to secure spot. I am not in to the betting so I can't be helpful too much. There is a drink bar with reasonable prices and you can use contactless. Food bar is on the ground floor. Burger and chips were nice. Good way how to spend money and evening.

Booked for a Saturday evening, clean stadium with plenty of parking, one of the security blokes came across quite rude was chasing us down like we were children! Shouting did you ID These two referring to me and my partner. Even though we were checked by the 1st security guy other than that staff inside were friendly and welcoming. Had a great evening few lucky bets were won food was nice and not to expensive, only downfall was the delay with the hare at the end which made the last few games run late so we ended up leaving earlier.

Had a great Friday night celebrating my sister in law's 50th birthday. 3 course carvery in the Pavilion restaurant was really good and the staff were all very friendly and attentive. Drinks prices were very reasonable. Look forward to coming again!

The new renovation made the place really great. Loads of bet stands, loads of viewing TVs and you can also get a right up close to the track and dogs. Drinks are not expensive at all, over all a great evening out with mates.

Found it very easy to find (considering I'd travelled from West London). I visited for a Thursday afternoon Meeting.
Reception, Bar and Tote staff extremely friendly.
Food menu very basic (and overcooked).
The racing was good. Definitely worth another visit.

Went Friday 2nd Feb . Taxi from Romford station app £8 but I walked back to train station ( travelled from east Croydon) THANKS AGAIN TO THE STAFF I MET definitely get back at sometime .👍👍 George ( Edinburgh)

It's a good place to go for a day's entertainment, the food was okay and staff were friendly. It was rather cold due to ab overzealous use of air conditioning...something we are seeing more of in more places because staff get warm when they work, but don't take into account seated diners...brrrr.
Nigel Brown — Google review
A great evening. 3 course meal with plenty to choose from and sizeable portions. Waiting staff attentive and friendly. Tote Runners a really good idea to save having to keep leaving your table to put bets on. Will definitely be heading back there soon.
Christina Dowsett — Google review
Came on a Saturday night so expected it to be busy (and it was). Had to queue to place bets and to get drinks but this is to be expected on a Saturday night.
Overall the venue was clean, the staff friendly and everything else you would expect from a night at the dogs.
Only issue is the parking, there is a car park next to the stand which gets full quick. There is a small car park at the bottom of the driveway entrance to the stadium and other than that it’s on street parking around the stadium.
Chris — Google review
Great night out with the family. Kids loved it also. Food is bit basic but not too bad. Cash only for any bets made which is no issue as long as you know before arrival. Can pay card at the bar for drinks & food

Sad to say I hadn't been for years. Went for a meal in the pavilion restaurant, and it was a good night. Food was good, racing was good, service was brilliant. Chloe was our waitress and she was fun and happy girl. A1 👌.

Had a brilliant afternoon of dog racing, with great company! We had a 3 course meal in the paddocks restaurant. Although it was simple, it was perfect, especially after all the roast dinners at Christmas! I forgot what a brilliant day this is, and I will definitely be back again soon
Jules Ryan — Google review
Great night and excellent value, if you exclude the betting!! Very pleasantly surprised when we arrived and saw both the standard of the stands and bars, and the menu. The food was brilliant with far more choice than expected and, considering the number of covers, the quality exceeded many restaurants. Staff were really pleasant and friendly. Highly recommended.
Sue Neilson — Google review
Fantastic evening with the family. The stadium was particularly busy however that didn't detract from what was a very enjoyable night. Parking is limited so get there early and the queue for food, drinks and the tote take time so be prepared.
The stadium which is home to Brighton & Hove Albion FC is an impressive complex with plenty of food and drink options as well as a fan bar. It's nicely padded, so it's perfect for big matches. Prices are also reasonable compared to other stadiums around the same calibre.
Nice away day out. The stadium is one of the nicer P/L stadiums, you're close to the pitch, the seats are comfortable and there isn't that much of a queue for food in the concourse. The ground is easily accessible by rail and the large demand for trains is very well managed by Southern rail on match days.
Ben — Google review
Lovely modern stadium. It has the feeling of being very intimate. Great views of the pitch. Very well kept. My visit was even better with a victory for the Lionesses 8-0
Fernando Cassani — Google review
The stadium is modern and a great example of how Premier League football should be treated. Have been to the 1901 Lounge and HBs Restaurant with both experiences being excellent. The food is stunning in both areas, with the staff very friendly. Our seats were great sitting in line with the centre line, shame some of the results are not worth mentioning.

I was lucky enough to be invited into one of the corporate lounges for the Brighton VS Spurs game and I was really impressed. The stadium was lovely, friendly staff & fans, the food was superb & the service was amazing. Looks like all the seats in the stadium had a great view too, would love to visit again.

A great experience for me and my son (a Brighton fan living in Leicestershire).
I was very impressed with the free parking at the racecourse and the frequent free bus service to the stadium.
Relatively quick to get out of the stadium and back to the car park too compared to other football grounds we have been to.
All in all a great day out. And a win which was a bonus!
Dxminet FN — Google review
My husband & I went to watch Brighton - Everton yesterday. What seemed like a great start - very easy to follow directions to the stadium from the train station - we ended up not having the best experience.
We went to the Brighton shop to see if we could get ourselves an official top (there weren’t any), so we decided to go inside.
When we got in, we were looking for our seats and tried to grab some food. I was disappointed there was no fish & chips inside the stadium, though they did have them in the kiosks outside! I tried to get a hot dog, but they were sold out. This meant there was hardly any food that I liked - as a very picky eater I always struggle to find something I will like.
A very good part of the visit (though I didn’t get a picture of it), was that in the female bathrooms they had sanitary products available for anyone to use without having to pay! This is the change we need in the world ❤️
When we took the food to our seats, my husband was denied entrance until he finished his beer. This was not explained to us previously and he was very annoyed that he didn’t get to enjoy his drink during the game.
If it weren’t for the sanitary products, I would have given this review 3 stars. I feel like there could be signs saying you can’t take alcoholic drinks to your seats, and possibly have more selection of foods available!
Sofia Garrod — Google review
The store for Albion Brighton clothes that we went to visit at the Stadium was quite low on stock. which was very disappointing. There were no L size hoodies with Zips in that size at all. Just as in the pop up store in the central Churchill Square.
It was a nice bus ride and the staff there were helpful in searching but it was disappointing.
We had a walk around and left.
Stella (Nonnq S) — Google review
Great atmosphere, really friendly fans, helpful staff and stewards. Feels like a nice family club. Food is pricey but in line with any other Premier League club. Overall a very good experience 10 out of 10.

First time visit, I think it's a great stadium. Lots of food and drink bars and a fan bar inside the stadium. The padded seats in the stadium ticked a box. Not overly priced either.

What a ground!
The stadium is tucked away in the rolling hills and we used the park and ride to get to the game.
All was very efficient and there truly is not a bad seat in the house.
I strongly suggest a hospitality package with the HB Restaurant as it added to the wonderful day.

The American Express Community Stadium is a fantastic looking modern stadium on the outskirts of Brighton and Hove City. The stadium has excellent transport links by railway and by road. There are really good parking facilities on site with very helpful and friendly club staff. We really enjoyed our visit to The Amex Stadium.
Dale Clinton — Google review
It's a great stadium with an amazing atmosphere for a small capacity, compared to bigger clubs in the premier league. The seats have cushions on them which makes the watching experience comfortable. The food is ready made and already done so easy to distribute (if you want more upper class you'll have to pay extra) there was food stalls outside the stadium so would try to get there early. They play such great football just a shame they lost 5-1 to Everton the day we watched, hope to get Europe place next year ☺️
Jack Garrod — Google review
I had the best football game I've ever seen. The lower seats allow you to see the players at a very close distance, while the upper seats give you a bird's eye view of the whole pitch.
Easy access from the centre of Brighton.

First trip to the AMEX as an away fan. Nice stadium, but food facilities outside and around stadium is very limited. Out of the city, so recommend using the Park and Ride offerings

A great venue for football. Fans stood up around us as soon as the ball got near the goal which was annoying.
The fans sang throughout which made for a good atmosphere. A family day out.
The only downside was the 30-40 minute wait to get onto the park and ride bus.

You get a really nice member of staff who takes your bets and gives you winnings.
The menu had about 5 items for each course and my steak was cooked to perfection.
I recommend having the meal and going here with friends.

It was my first and last time to this venue.
The food was so bad we couldn't eat it, from the grill. The racing was watched on the screen as we could not see the finish from the track-side seats. They have betting and we gave up and just bet amongst ourselves.
Drinks prices were very expensive. There were only 2 staff that seemed approachable.
I regret coming here.

We visited for the ABBA night so rating on that venue hall alone which was brilliant and an intimate large room with great atmosphere and nice bar area and easy parking. No idea what area for watching greyhounds is like.

Meals are excellent in the restaurant where you get at-seat order and tote service for a good price. For those not in the restaurant, food is great at the food bar, drinks are served quickly at the bar and the tote are quick to get bets on. There are several on-course book makers both by the tote/bar area and outside by the track. Viewing is great and there are plenty of screens available inside. All staff a friendly and great at their jobs a great track to visit!

Great fun night out. Good atmosphere and not too pricey. £7 each to get in which is reasonable. Food was available and looked good too.
Only criticism is that it's cash only for bets, but there is a cash point on site which charges for withdrawals.

Staff very friendly and efficient, but the food was a bit of a let down on an all together great night. My starter looked like a £1.75 rustlers burger without the bun and my partners Barnsley lamb chop was all gristle and bones completely inedible and the desert that was meant to be a "cheesecake" was actually a mousse which I don't like the texture of and could not eat it, had the description been more accurate I would have ordered something different.

I believe this venue is an excellent choice for families looking for a fun and unique night out. It offers a great view of the track, which enhances the excitement of the race.
The lady over the counter was very helpful and give us all the information we need. We won £35 🥳😎😆.

A friendly place except for staff on betting counter, one visit and I wanted to lie down on rabbit (hare?) rail and let it hit me full tilt between the legs. The security staff were friendly though and the booklet you are given with race information was clear, concise so even a noob like me could understand it. We were there celebrating a very close friends son's 18th birthday and we had a great time. We all stopped betting though as there was no rhyme or reason why each dog won, in fact we all did better in our friendly bets when we just picked a track without looking at the info. Kept running out of ice which was annoying as was hot behind glass but bar staff to be commended on their customer service. All in all, a great time was had.

Went for the 1st time last night had a party package with our local club.. Found it all very well run, reasonably priced drinks and a good selection of food from the grill.. Only downside was the 2 ladies in the coral betting office downstairs were the most sullen and miserable ive ever come across .. My friend refused to go there after the 1st 2 races,i had to put hers on for her. But apart from that,we all enjoyed the evening and will come again

The National Trust - Devil's Dyke is a picturesque valley that has a distinct V-shape, and offers various nature programs and walking trails to its visitors. The area is surrounded by hotels and restaurants, providing ample opportunity for refreshments. Despite occasional disruptions caused by irresponsible dog owners, most people enjoy the serene atmosphere of this place. Although some parts of the trail can be challenging due to steep climbs, the scenic views are well worth the effort.
Beautiful place in the South Downs for visiting with the kids and pets. Plenty of events in the peak season. There are trails in several directions that can take you all the way down to the plains. Sadly I didn't visit on a day the paragliding was on - but I'm sure it would be a right spectacle at the correct weather/time of the day. Highly recommended.

On a sunny day, there can be no better hike if you live in the beautiful country side of Sussex. There are many ways to go to the hike. Including a direct bus from Brighton to Dyke but it only operates over the weekends. I took the old tram way road from Hangledon which was scenic and quiet. It's a medium level difficulty hike but if you wanna hike inside the Devil's Dyke - that maybe a moderate hike. If you take the tram way route, you cross the beautiful lush Gold course as well where you can stop for a drink or a cuppa.

This is a beautiful spot, there is a trig point that is placed on one of the ramparts of the actual Iron Age hillfort here. It is very popular with walkers, and families. The valley bowl is also particularly beautiful.

So much to see… even though it was foggy and wet it was a great adventure. The views never disappoint! Only shame is the odd dog owner who will let their dog run riot but most people come to enjoy and are considerate of others. Be prepared for some steep climbs but definitely worth the effort. Grab a drink or even some food at the pub on top, very welcoming!

Beautiful place to walk, whether down in the valley or along the top. It's an easy walk along the top, maybe moderate for some if you go down into the valley and then back up. Had a lovely ice cream from the van parked at the top or the Dyke pub is there if you fancy it.

Such a gorgeous place! Definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby. Stunning views, and a range of different walks available. However, a bit difficult to navigate the walls as they’re not very well signposted.
Great access to public transport - you can take the bus directly from Brighton station at weekends during the Autumn/Winter season.
Was lucky to see so many paraglides too!

Located about 20 mins from Brighton. You can take the 77 bus, which takes you all the way. You are greeted by rolling hills and the longest, deepest and widest 'dry valley' in the UK. Plenty of walking/cycling routes, very windy and cool, even on the hottest of days with stunning views of the valley. One can spend hours just walking around and taking in the beauty of the place.

Easy to find. Easy to park. Stunning views. My wife and 11 year old son tackled the Devils Dyke circular walk. Stopped at the Royal Oak Pub in the village of Poynings. It’s a 2.4 mile walk. Steep walk down through the wood, and an equally steep (but gradual) walk back to the car park. If you love walking, wildlife, stunning British countryside and fresh air, this is a walk for you.

The iconic Tower Bridge, built in 1894, spans the River Thames and is a major tourist attraction in London. It's currently one of the London Bridge box girder style bridges, which was built from concrete and steel. The current bridge won't fall down any time soon!
It felt very safe, was beautiful history getting to see it. If you want to go here tell everyone you want to go to or get directions for the "tower bridge' or the drivers take you to a flat bridge that is also called the London bridge. Yep it happened to me so be more knowledgeable than I was.
Also a great little walk between the flat London bridge and the river with restaurants and coffee places. Very romantic little stroll ...London was amazing!!!

Firstly, although the staff were great at sorting me out when I didn't have a paper ticket and just one on my phone, it is not good that paper tickets are needed (and they printed mine out). In today's age and ecological crisis, paper should not be needed. They need to sort that.
There is no wheelchair access that I could see. Lots of stairs both up and down so be aware! There's also not a huge amount to see in the towers themselves. Considering this is not a free attraction, I would expect more.
Having said that, DO go to the engine rooms. That was excellent and informative. Well worth the trip.
Overall, just about worth it for the price. Don't make it your big trip of the day though. It's fun but short.

“Visiting Tower Bridge in London was an absolute delight! From the moment I set foot on this iconic landmark, I was captivated by its grandeur and historical significance. The majestic structure, with its towering towers and intricate Victorian architecture, truly exemplifies the architectural marvels of the past.
As I strolled along the high-level walkways, I was treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the River Thames and the cityscape beyond. The glass floors added an exhilarating touch, allowing me to marvel at the bustling traffic passing below my feet. It was an experience that made me feel both connected to the city’s vibrant energy and humbled by its rich history.
Inside the bridge’s exhibition, I was immersed in its fascinating story through interactive displays and informative exhibits. Learning about the construction and engineering feats behind Tower Bridge deepened my appreciation for this iconic landmark. The highlight, of course, was witnessing the bridge open up to let a passing ship through—an awe-inspiring moment that reminded me of its vital role in facilitating maritime trade.
The staff at Tower Bridge were friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to answer questions and provide insights into its heritage. Their passion for the bridge’s legacy was evident, making the visit even more enjoyable.
Overall, my visit to Tower Bridge was an unforgettable experience. It’s a must-see attraction for anyone visiting London, offering a perfect blend of history, architecture, and breathtaking views. Whether you’re a history enthusiast, an architecture lover, or simply seeking a memorable experience, Tower Bridge will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression.”

It's a must visit historic place in the centre of London. Very old and Iconic place. The beauty of the bridge can be seen from long distance. I feel everyone should get a ticket and must see the engine room along with the history of the tower from day one. There is a lot of information provided at the top of the bridge. When you walk on the glass way you will definitely get goosebumps. The place is always crowded so when you visit please make sure you have done the advance tickets booking as on arrival the queue will be quite long and you will end up waiting in line for an hour or more. If you want to take more pics and make reels better come early in the morning so it will be very less crowded. When you go inside the tower at multiple places washrooms are available. In short I must visit the place.

Undoubtedly a main photo spot in London, Tower Bridge stands as one of the city's most iconic landmarks, attracting visitors from across the globe. Its majestic structure, flanked by the iconic towers, creates an unforgettable backdrop for photographs. As one of the biggest attractions in London and a globally recognized symbol, it offers countless picture-perfect spots, whether capturing its silhouette against the skyline, witnessing its mesmerizing evening illumination, or simply savoring the grandeur of this architectural gem. With its remarkable history, striking design, and ample photo opportunities, Tower Bridge rightfully stands among the world's most celebrated and photographed attractions

Tower Bridge, standing just beyond the Tower of London, is more than just a bridge; it’s a journey through London’s heart. A short stroll across this iconic structure offers breathtaking views (yes, in a good way; enter Seinfeld reference) and a sense of history.
Crossing over the Thames, you’ll find yourself on a scenic walkway, a perfect vantage point for soaking in panoramic sights. From here, the Tower of London looms impressively, while the London Bridge and the sprawling cityscape stretch out beyond.
It’s a spot where the beauty of London is seen and felt. Tower Bridge is a inexpensive gateway to some of the most picturesque views.

No visit to London can ever be complete without a visit to the Tower Bridge. Undoubtedly one of London's most famous monuments and with good reason. First of the bridge is massive and filled with details. Walking across it feels truly magical. Gazing upwards toward the towers is almost as enchanting as the view you have from up here. A must in London if ever there was one.

It was a great experience to enter the Tower Bridge towers, go up and down the stairs and especially walk the two walkways above street & river level. The glass floors were really cool. They don't extend across all the way but only in the middle of both walks, and for people who don't like it there is a wooden walkway to the side so this is suitable even for the less daring. You get a great panorama from up there. The engine rooms also come with the ticket & you get to see how the bridge was operated in steam engine time.

The Tower Bridge. Now while there’s no cost to cross the bridge I would highly recommend purchasing tickets to go across up top. It’s well worth the steps. If you need to take a lift one is available but seeing the staircases, and all the factual, historical information they give you on the way up makes it all the more worth it.
We bought tickets for 13.30 and arrived a bit early, and the staff didn’t mind us getting in the queue. It was a bit long but moved very quickly, again you could take the lift or the stairs we chose the stairs (we were told there’s somewhere around 260 of them). As you walk up the stairs there are posts and placards that tell you all sorts of facts regarding the material that went into the bridge and other fascinating details. The wood creaking stairs only adds to the experience. Once at the top there’s a spot to rest even before going to the upper bridges.
You may think the entire upper bridge is “glass bottom” it isn’t, but each side does have a small section where if not to crowded you can even lie down and take a photo. You’ll walk all the way across one, down the other and turn around where then you can decide you next move.
Once down the stairs they send you off to the Engine Room which is also included and the gift shop. This alone has been such a worth while part of our visit, I would highly recommend it.

This review is for the paid attraction to go to the top:
Great view on one side. Tickets are much cheaper compared to other attractions, but that's not an excuse to throw in so many people into each batch. If the top was a bit less crowded, it would've been great.

Like many people I was also confused that this the London Bridge BUT when I visited I came to know that this is Tower Bridge. A marvel, gorgeous structure over the river Thames. The view is only good if you see it from a far distance. If the weather is good, you can walk across the bridge. There is a ticket to go up and if you are really interested to more about this deeply.

Another must visit in London. The most beautiful bridge in London I would say. Lovely pics from every angle.
Very busy place however you can do like we did and go very early to get pictures without hundreds of people behind us.
We had blue sky which made our visit a bit better despite the cold weather.
Be careful of people not following the signs which tell you which way to walk, a shame because it would make the crossing smoother.

Visited the iconic London Tower Bridge and was utterly captivated by its timeless elegance. The intricate architecture tells a story of history and craftsmanship that leaves you in awe. Whether you walk across during the day, with the city bustling around you, or experience the magical lights at night, every moment is a feast for the senses.
The bridge not only offers spectacular panoramic views of London but also serves as a testament to the city's rich heritage. It's a photographer's paradise—every angle is postcard-worthy.
Surrounded by charming cafes and the serene flow of the river, the atmosphere is simply enchanting. London Tower Bridge isn't just a structure; it's a journey through time and a must-visit for anyone seeking a touch of magic in the heart of the city.

Great experience overall. You can wait to buy tickets to go up into the tower and view the engine rooms. I thought it was a fun event and fairly cheap compared to other sites around the city (£30 for a family of three). We waited 40 min to get tickets. They also have pre-purchase tickets or time reservation to hold your spot in line at a specific time for you to jump the line.

Fabulous views and reasonably priced. The mirror above the glass floor was a newer addition I hadn't seen before. Although taking the lift would have been easier we enjoyed the climbing the steps up reading facts along the way, it made the top a treat. Photos from the top came out really well 👍Small children enjoyed the engine and pump room, it is very well restored.

The beautiful tower bridge. (Tourists often confuse this to be the London bridge.)
Well this is a bridge too, and check out the pictures to see how amazing it looks when a big ship passes and the bridge is open. This is one of a kind bridge. To know more about its construction do visit inside the tower bridge. It’s amazing to see vehicles crossing under you.

It’s a very nice touristic place.. there are restaurants near by where you can also enjoy the view.. we took a walk on the bridge. If you want to walk on the top where there see through glass there is a payment of either 13 or 20 pounds but the tower itself is closed you can just walk along the corridor from one side to the other. Walking down though is free and it’s a must see when you visit London

This historic gem located in the heart of London is an absolute must-see. It's an iconic testament to the city's rich history, standing proudly as a symbol of its heritage.
I highly recommend getting a ticket that includes a visit to the engine room and a journey through the tower's captivating history from its inception. The wealth of information provided at the top of the bridge offers a deep dive into its past, enriching your experience.
Walking on the glass pathway is an unforgettable thrill, sending shivers down your spine as you take in the breathtaking views. It's important to note that this place is always bustling with visitors. To make the most of your visit, I strongly advise booking your tickets in advance. Arriving without pre-booked tickets might result in lengthy queues, which could mean waiting for an hour or even longer.
For those seeking the perfect photo opportunities or aiming to capture stunning reels, consider arriving early in the morning when the crowds are thinner. Additionally, you'll find conveniently located washrooms at various spots within the tower, ensuring a comfortable visit.

It’s one of the most iconic bridges in London and it’s definitely worth a visit. You can cross the bridge for free on the ground level (where the cars are driving). But it’s also possible to go to the top of the bridge if you are willing to pay for it. You can enjoy a great view to either side of the bridge. It’s nice to cross the river as a pedestrian but if you find a bus that crosses there it’ll be just as good.

A magnificent example of Victorian Gothic architecture! This iconic drawbridge leaves every visitor awe-struck with its grandeur and technical genius. The panoramic view from the walkway reveals splendid cityscapes. An intriguing piece of history lies within the engine rooms, taking you back to the industrial revolution era. The Tower of London is a famous landmark in London that houses Crown Jewels and iconic Beefeaters. It is home to centuries of bloody history, including scenes of prisoners being hanged, drawn and quartered.
Certainly a must see if you are traveling to London! The history of the Tower is hard to comprehend when you consider that the place is older than the United States. Lots of history to take in from the jail cells, torture machines, to the tower, the ravens, and all of the armament, weapons and cannons to see. The Tower also has the Crown Jewels on display. I would plan to arrive early if you do not wish to stand in line for extended periods to see the Crown Jewels. They are worth seeing though…especially if you want to see diamonds, emeralds and sapphires the size of golf balls. Unfortunately, photos of the jewels are not allowed or I would post some.
As others have mentioned, there are a lot of stairs, narrow spiraling staircases and some narrow corridors to walk through. That said, it was certainly one of the many highlights on our London trip. I’ve seen people give estimates of time for this visit. I would say 3-4 hours is probably a good estimate (not including a long waiting time in line for jewels). We read some of the signage on displays and then just passed by others. If you are the type who reads it all, maybe longer.

Great day out, lots of history and beautiful views of the castle and Tower Bridge and a nice cafe inside. You can follow a guided tour or purchase an audio guide, though neither is particularly needed as there is plenty of information displayed in all parts of the castle. Not really suitable for buggies or wheelchairs as there is lots of stair climbing involved.

Admission was a little steep but totally worth it. We paid under £30 per person, but it varies by date and what website you purchase through. We bought tickets in person and not in advance.
As soon as we walked in there was a beefeater starting a complimentary tour. He was very funny and informative, and explain the history of the castle and the surrounding areas with a lot of detail given to the history of executions here.
There is also an audio tour available at an additional cost.
We left his tour to go explore by ourselves and we saw the king's Chambers which were fascinating and included a marker in the chapel where King Henry VI was assassinated. Awesome. There were active guards marching around who still live inside the castle.
Actors were doing a play in the courtyard by the White Tower. There were plenty of bathrooms and a couple of cool gift shops.
You could easily spend three or more hours here.
As with most attractions in the city, parking could be a problem but we did not have a car.

It was a wonderful experience and a great place to visit. The history of the place is amazing. It is advisable to take the guided tour as the guide really knows his stuff and gives you some great insights into the history of the place and also gives good advice on what to visit next as the place is a really big place. I came for my second visit in a little under 50 years! I was in awe of the architecture of the building and at how deceivingly big it was inside. I came along with a local community group and we took a tour with Wayne, a resident Beefeater. He was incredibly knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour! After eating our packed lunch, we decided to take a look at the crown jewels. The queue was quite long but it moved pretty fast. As we were waiting, we were greeted with the amazing views around the tower grounds. It was a tad cold and windy but I'm sure it's beautiful in the summer.
Going in to see the crown jewels, I was a little disappointed at the way it was displayed. It was quite dark and sparse inside. The crowns themselves were amazing, such beautiful jewels.
I would have liked to take a bit more of a trip around the other areas but on a quieter day. That's the only thing I don't enjoy, too many people around.

This is a beautiful site to see. This is where the Crown Jewels are held and was a big fortress!! I mostly came here just to see the Crown Jewels, even though some of them were out due to the Coronation of Charles III, but this place was an amazing place to visit. But this use to be, and still is, a military fortress. A little fun fact, during WWI, the Tower of London did military training, even though it was still open to the public visiting the place. I just find that extremely interesting.
The Tower of London is one staple of London history, British history, and Royal history. The The Royal Family has their Crowned Jewels here where you can see them on display. Dating back to 1066, but made famous by William I (William the Conqueror) when he moved here in 1078. Kings William I (William the Conqueror), King Henry III, and King Richard I were living here at one point all adding to the historical site. The Tower of London has been a fortress for the majority of its time, but I found interesting is that it was used as a prison until WWII, with soldiers training here with the prisoners on a different side of the site. You can go see the Crowned Jewels here, which were amazing to see (there's no photography while seeing the Crowned Jewels). I truly enjoy walking the grounds here and seeing some of the Crowned Jewels the British Royal Family has to offer.

Amazing tourist attraction of this wonderful place,it is one of the most visited places nowadays since the Royal Jewels are guarded here. The Royal jewels are amazingly displayed, and the history of them is well explained all along the place. Big queue for the Crown Jewels once you got inside the Tower, but well worth the wait. I suggest everything try to come early in the morning around the 8:30 slot. It will not be crowded at that time. There are lots of things to see inside the tower. The Cafe inside is a great place to take relief. The exit is beside the Thames with awesome views of Tower Bridge.
We thought it will take 2-3 hours but we spend almost 5 hrs. The fortress is maintained properly. The audio guide helps you a lot when you are in. The Ammunition department is amazing.
I will definitely come back to visit them again whenever possible.

Fantastic history. Beef eaters were brilliant at informing us of the history of the place. He made it so entertaining. Made us laugh.
There are many stairs to climb.
Looking at the beautiful crowns and museums to walk around were educational.
Worth visiting.

A wonderful place to visit when you are in London. It covers a little bit of the history of the city, military, history, and a unique look at the growth of the monarchy throughout history, including viewings, and tours of the royal jewels. There is a lot of information about the architecture of the building, and the views are amazing. I would highly recommend it to people and families.

Amazing place to visit! We had recently come from Ireland and to hear the different pieces of British and Irish history intertwine was really neat! I highly recommend paying the extra bit for the audio tour once you get inside. It helps give you a little bit extra that you can’t get from just reading all the signs. I also recommend getting there before noon so you have enough time to see everything!

It is a very cool experience. You get to step back in time, seeing things from a long time ago. There is a lot of history and information to read and take in, so many cool things.
I would recommend buying tickets in advance for 9am. I was dropped off at about 8:05 and was able to get some good pictures of the exterior of the Tower of London and the Tower Bridge. There are a few coffee shops around, so you can grab some coffee before the line opens. I got in line at about 8:30 and was towards the front.
I would recommend going to the Crown Jewels first as you will have a bit of space before the crowds decend on the attraction and there is a long wait. Even if you have a voucher for a guide book, I would get it after.
If you have a voucher for a guide book, the place is on the right hand side of the building, the audio guides are on the left. So, if there is a huge line on the left, don't worry, you can slip in and get the book. The books are in several languages, and there is a option for the kids book.

Hadn't been in around 20 years, was pleasantly surprised that there were many activities for both children and adults. The crown jewels exhibition is better than I remembered. Would recommend spending around 4h here in total.

If you visit London, you cannot say that you have been there if you have not visited the Tower of London. This is a wonderful fortress close of the Thames River, very well conserved, and has beautiful inner views. It is highly recommended to buy the tickets online because there are long lines of people waiting to buy tickets. I loved the place and highly recommend it.

A great day out. Its worth getting there for opening and going straight to see the Crown jewels. That way there will be minimal queues and you may get to spend longer in the crowns room than you would later on.
The rest of the Tower is great and an amazing deep dive in the English history. You really should go at least once in your life.
If you do everything it’s easily a whole day.

The Tower of London boasts a rich history and stunning architecture. While the highlight is undoubtedly the Crown Jewels, the site offers a glimpse into England's royal past. However, for those seeking more diverse attractions, the experience might feel somewhat limited. Nevertheless, the Crown Jewels alone make it a memorable visit. Book your tickets in advance before you visit.

We had cold, extremely windy weather with spots of rain for our guided tour (early April) but our Beefeater was very entertaining. It was so fun roaming around everywhere! Felt like a maze, with little hallways, lots of spiral staircases and bridges to cross. Gorgeous views of the Tower Bridge, too.

Sadly I didn't get to go into the tower it self due to time problems and the ever occurring problem of me being broke. But the outside was more then worth my while. The whole castle is massive. Like way bigger then I thought it would be. And the architecture and surrounding views made for a lovely stroll through London.

Really enjoyed visiting the Tower of London. I visited with my daughters year as a school trip, so unfortunately our look around was a lot more rushed than I would have liked, but loved what I saw.
Seeing the armor for the kings & horses, the weaponry & where torturing happened was great. Walking around the site where Anne Boleyn, Catherine Howard, Jane Boleyn, Lady Jane Grey & others were executed & seeing the Traitors Gate where people would have come into the grounds & the towers where they would have been kept was brilliant. Seeing the Crown Jewels was amazing. They were so beautiful. The craftsmanship of the clothing, armour, jewelry, flags & tapestries was breathtaking. Seeing the guards on patrol was awesome & there are lots of people around who you can talk to and ask about the Tower to get more of a historical experience. There's an interactive room where you can get involved with things in there which was great and the chapel was beautiful.
There are some steep stairs and spiral staircases in places which some might find difficult, but all-in-all I really had a great time. Seeing as our visit was hugely restricted due to it being a school trip, I'd love to give back with my family for a whole day.

Wow, the Tower of London was even more incredible than I imagined! From the moment I walked through the gates, I felt transported back in time. The Yeoman Warders were fantastic storytellers, bringing the castle's rich history to life with humor and enthusiasm.
The Crown Jewels were, of course, a highlight – it's hard to believe they're real! But I also loved exploring the White Tower, wandering the medieval walls, and even spotting a few ravens (those cheeky birds!).
Whether you're a history buff or just looking for a unique London experience, the Tower of London is a must-see. Just be prepared to be amazed!
Tips for your visit:
* Get your tickets online beforehand to skip the queues, especially during peak season.
* Take advantage of the free Yeoman Warder tours – they're the best way to learn about the castle's secrets.
* Allow plenty of time to explore – there's so much to see and do.
* Wear comfortable shoes – you'll be doing a lot of walking.
I hope this helps! Have a fantastic time at the Tower of London!
One of London's most popular tourist attractions, the London Eye offers panoramic views of the city from its 443-foot wheel. The Eye is busiest during holiday periods, but can be visited at any time of year and provides an excellent opportunity to see the capital from above.
Fantastic staff and attraction. Very convenient location and easy access. This is a very busy area, but it is well signed and easy to navigate. There are many services on site and you can enjoy the surroundings before and after the ride. The ride itself is fantastic and offers wonderful views of London - especially if you are a picture taker. The pricing is reasonable and you can also bundle with other attractions. We did find this a bit confusing, until we were helped by a friendly staff member. You do have to watch times as they gave us a tight connection to the next attraction - no worries though as there was a wait time there. Well worth the time and cost

Another must do in London. Panoramic views from the sky. The booking and other arrangements can be done via the website and it's quite smooth overall. The views from up top are stunning! Thames river, London bridge, tower bridge and Many of the legendary buildings can be seen. The design of the eye itself is pretty cool :) I'd strongly recommend this :)

I had an absolutely fantastic experience on the London Eye during my husband's birthday weekend! We decided to purchase tickets in advance using discount vouchers we found online, which turned out to be a great idea.
Even though it was a busy day, our early arrival—30 minutes before our scheduled slot—ensured that we didn't face any waiting time. Staff was very friendly and cooperative. The entire family had an amazing time, and we got the chance to experience not just one, but two incredible performances, one was magic show and the other one was music show. The restroom was clean, though it's worth mentioning that there is a fee for using them. The weather was perfect, allowing us to spend a delightful 4 to 5 hours enjoying the stunning views and vibrant atmosphere. For those planning to visit with kids, I recommend bringing along some snacks and water to keep everyone energized. All in all, it was an unforgettable day.

The London Eye is an iconic modern marvel that offers a unique perspective of the city's skyline. Situated on the banks of the River Thames, this giant observation wheel is a must-visit attraction for anyone exploring London.
The experience of riding the London Eye is nothing short of breathtaking. As you ascend slowly in one of the spacious glass capsules, you're treated to panoramic views of London's most famous landmarks, including Big Ben, the Shard, and St. Paul's Cathedral. The slow rotation ensures you have ample time to take in the sights, and the bird's-eye view of the bustling city below is both mesmerizing and tranquil.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, providing interesting insights into the history and geography of London throughout the journey. Whether you visit during the day to enjoy the city bathed in sunlight or at night when it's illuminated by thousands of lights, the view is equally enchanting.
While the ticket prices may seem a bit steep, the London Eye delivers an unforgettable experience that's well worth the cost. It's an excellent way to gain a new perspective on London and create lasting memories. Whether you're a tourist or a local, a ride on the London Eye is an essential part of your London adventure.

It's London's must do tourist attraction. You can see for miles around and have a great view onto the Thames and houses of Parliament. It's always busy, so it always has a queue of tourists waiting to get on, but the queue is well managed and keeps moving all the time, as the eye doesn't actually stop turning, you are skillfully managed on and off the cabin as it moves slowly along the ground section. You can take bags on, which are checked by security, and take as many photos as you like. On a clear day, you can see as far as Scotland 😉.

Repeat visit after ~6 years. This time we bought advance tickets using some discount vouchers. Experience this time was much better as I think the overall crowd was smaller (not sure why). It was still plenty busy but the staff were quite good at guiding the people and sticking to the promised time slots which made the queue go quicker.
The ride itself was as wonderful as last time. Thankfully the little rain earlier had cleared off and it was pretty clear for the duration. Excellent views as expected.
Overall I think its a bit steeply priced (for repeat visits) but using discount vouchers made it reasonable. Definitely a must-do for first visit and in decent weather conditions!

Great tourist attraction. I'm pleased that pods are not overloaded with people. You have space to move about and take in the different 360-degree views of the capital. We've been lucky on the occasions we've ridden the eye and gad sunny and clear days. I think nighttime would also be an amazing experience.
The mechanism is slow and smooth. You hardly feel the motion as this rotates, and the inside was clean and smelt fresh.
It is surprising how high you feel when you reach the top, so if you struggle with heights, there's seating in the centre of the pod if needed.
This attraction is permanently busy, and rightly so. A great attraction to visit and experience in London.

Recommend going with a friend, especially if you have any fear of heights.

Highly recommend you get tickets prior. Just makes it easier.

A must do/see! London eye was such a cool experience! Book in advance and choose the flex pass for a few more pounds. We rode the London Eye at night and the view was amazing! I’m sure you can see more during the daytime , but the lit up London view was pretty magical! Heads up - you’re probably going to want to buy everything at the London Eye gift shop. But if you walk just across the way to the other gift shop (literally, right across) you will save some money and have more souvenir options.

This is one of the best attractions in London! We went at night and had a pleasant experience looking at the city lights. The ride itself was safe and slow moving. It was definitely elderly friendly. They don’t overcrowd people into each “pod”. It’s pricey, but worth every penny.

The London Eye is the Most amazing experience. It is accessible within walking distance of the Tube stations and the view is absolutely INCREDIBLE!
I have had the privilege of doing this outing on the London Eye a few times and each time is more amazing than the next.
Don't miss out on a few hours to enjoy. The tickets are available on line and make sure to book the fast track pass. Much quicker and easier than the queue.
Carolyn Botha — Google review
The view is nice, but the windows are not very clean and the reflection of the light limits the quality of the photos that can be taken. The tickets have an entry time, but the queue control is not the best and you could spend two hours in the line. If you want to queue less (20 minutes) you have to buy the ticket that costs 15 pounds more. The ride takes approximately 25 minutes.

It was an amazing experience looking the whole London city on the top of Eye 🎡 👀. You can see Big Ben, House of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, The Shard, Tower Bridge and many more.
The only thing that was concerning, waiting queue was too long on the weekend especially during this summer time. I was tired standing for an hour and affected my experience to fully enjoy. Also, the position of sun 🌞 during that time ⏲️ , just between afternoon and evening facing towards me and sun rays blocking the other side to see freely. This is why I would recommend a time of early morning and the time during sunset 🌇 is even better (of course not during long summer days because of early closing time).
In the end, I would love to see evening view hopefully during the next visit.

Just look at these photos; it's worth the money you pay to ride the wheel. It's breathtaking. My advice is to buy the ticket in advance and opt for fast pass. We were there last Christmas, and it took us less than 5 minutes to get on. It costs a bit more, but it's worth every euro you spend. It's essential to go on it if you're in London.

Leisure walk by the riverbank. A great place for photos taking. Along the river walk there are many make shift stalls that sells food, snacks, desserts and souvenirs. The day we went were cloudy hence many photos taken does not turn out to our expectations. Very crowded too hence photos taking are a bit challenging. London Eye, Big Ben and Tower Bridge are within walking from one another.

One of the best viewing decks in London. The total trip is around 45-60 mins. The most preferred time to visit is during sunset because you will get to see some amazing sunset views. The night view from a distance is just majestic. Book your tickets online and u can select the slot of your preference.

Twas a very busy day but the queue moved quickly. Great experience, hardly felt like the wheel was moving hence I was relaxed the whole considering that I'm afraid of heights. Take note you have to be quick swift when getting on and off the ride as it doesn't stop, I saw very old people get on with fair amount of ease. We used our phones to take pictures but there's an option to take one before and as the ride ends and this is charged separately.

Enjoy 360° panoramic views of London. Plan ahead and pay for the Fast Pass, it is 100% worth it to skip the long lines. Once inside, the ride around is about 30-40 minutes. My first experience from inside. The view is very unique. I saw the city from a different perspective. That was really nice. The glass of the capsule was well prepared for people who like to take pictures. There is nothing wrong with this attraction except the entrance fee😁
Thank you🤩

The line was long but moved very quickly so it didn’t feel long at all. The eye moves at a slower pace so it is not scary getting on or off while it is moving. They do stop for people that need extra time to move. There is a small, very limited seating area in the middle of the pod, so if you are the last to enter you might not get a seat. The entire pod is clear so you can get a full clear view from every angle. There is a photo at the end and the side of the photo is labeled in the pod. It is a nice tourist experience.

Big Ben is a cultural landmark located in London, England. The bell on the clocktower rings once every hour, and it has been called "the world's most famous clock". The tower, which is 16 stories high, was built between 1858 and 1868.
Lovely place. A great tourist place. Always big crowds. However, it is worth coming here. The Big Ben building is an extraordinary architectural craftsmanship. Today, after renovation, it looks like new. I highly recommend visiting this place in London.

Big Ben or Elizabeth's tower is one of the most well-known attractions in London. The view is lovely! Thought no matter when you are visiting London it's an extremely crowded place. I would recommend to have a quick stroll under Big Ben and continue to the next closest bridge to have a complete view of Thames river and Big Ben.

Big Ben is actually the name of the 13.5 ton weighing big bell inside the tower which had been the nickname and has been renamed with the Elizabeth tower.
And this is a really an icon of London and famous for its movements’ accuracy and reliability of telling time by striking bells every 15 min. Clock and dial design is very classic
As a part of the Parliament, I think this tower completes the perfection and beauty of the buildings which you may feel better when enjoying the night view. Without this, the Parliament would be a little bit boring even if its appearance is also fantastic. You can see and enjoy this structure from Trafalga square as well when facing the Whitehall. There are also may tourists spots like Westminster abbey, London eye and so on nearby so that you must visit and enjoy the nice view and sound from the clock tower.

It's a great view when they're not doing works on it or on the street. Night time pictures of Big Ben are great. You can take pictures from the bridge and towards the London Eye. Westminster Abbey and the House Guards are near. On occasions you can enter parliament but I've never been so find out times and details if you want to go in. Don't expect amenities nearby. Also, very few places for coffee, only a couple where you can sit down but not easy to find. Best cafes are five minutes away towards Victoria or Trafalgar but quite full most of the time. The London eye is near over the bridge and on the way you can see the London Aquarium, my kids loved it. Also, its an easy walk to St James park and Buckingham Palace. I find the park particularly nice with all the birds in the lake and the views towards the palace but better seen/enjoyed in good weather. There are toilets there as well as a couple of kiosks for snacks and drinks.

Big Ben, one of London's most iconic landmarks, stands tall and proud beside the River Thames, serving as a symbol of the city's rich history and enduring resilience. Despite its popular name, Big Ben actually refers to the Great Bell housed within the Elizabeth Tower, which is part of the Palace of Westminster, home to the UK Parliament.
Completed in 1859, the Elizabeth Tower, with its magnificent clock face and towering presence, quickly became a beloved emblem of London's skyline. The Great Bell, which weighs over 13 tons, chimes melodiously every hour, marking the passage of time with its deep, resonant tones. Its name, "Big Ben," is believed to have been derived from the nickname of Sir Benjamin Hall, the Commissioner of Works at the time of the tower's construction.
Over the years, Big Ben has endured wartime bombings, renovations, and even occasional maintenance hiccups, but it has remained steadfast as a symbol of London's resilience and endurance. Its timeless beauty and majestic presence continue to captivate visitors from around the world, who flock to admire its grandeur and snap photos against the backdrop of the historic Westminster Palace.
Despite undergoing restoration works in recent years to address structural issues and ensure its longevity, Big Ben still stands as a timeless symbol of London's past, present, and future. As the heart of the city beats to the rhythm of its chimes, Big Ben remains a cherished icon, reminding us of London's enduring spirit and the timeless allure of its historic landmarks.

The tower clock is something incredible to watch. It gives 2 different vibes when standing there in daylight and also at night. Both give different feelings.
The London eye is visible from here which makes it more attractive.
Less crowds, very near, but the road is busy with traffic.
The National Gallery in London is a museum that features the works of some of historys most celebrated European painters, from the medieval period to the early 20th century.
I love the way the National Gallery have made visits easier by proposing three different routes - the A, B or C. This makes a visit there more manageable. In the past, I have been somewhat overwhelmed by the vastness of the collections.
The artworks were beautifully displayed but noisy schoolchildren fooling around and amateur artists plonked right in front of some paintings blocking your frontal view tended to mar slightly the wonderful experience. On the whole, though, it was a wonderful experience.

It always takes my breath away. I love to go in and find my favourite paintings even if I have only got 45 minutes! The joy that this treasured building is free to enter makes it possible to do this - and makes me so proud. I used to go straight for the museums…. Till the first time I went in! I was stunned by the depth of Turner’s paintings and the sheer size of some….. and the way they glow. Pictures cannot do it justice. Always try and make time for the gift shop. Look up at the ceilings…. Look down at the floors. Magnificent.

So huge, and wonderfully designed. The most famous pieces are scattered around which I think works well for the museum, as in places like the Louvre there isn't much done to prevent bottlenecking, whilst here I was able to see well known paintings easily without overcrowding, so I was able to enjoy them too! The spaces are very light and open. The exhibition on St Francis was very interesting, too. Like many museums in the UK the admission is free, and it would certainly be worth a visit even if it wasn't!

One of the best galleries in London with loads and loads of art works. You can spend a whole day there because there is that much to see. Make sure to take a note of the must see ones before you visit so that you don't miss out on them.

Wonderful museum. It was a school holiday, so there were lots of children there as well. Incredibly well presented. Room after room of beautiful masterpieces. We could have spent two full days there.

I mean, you kind of know what you're getting into when it comes to London's great collection of art. You'll find art from each period over the last 500 years, names you'll recognize both big and small.
Plan to spend at least an hour, and try to avoid a busy time if you can as it does get crowded. If you are going during a busy period, then definitely buy tickets in advance.

Lovely museum with free admission, though do prebook a ticket so you can skip the long line waiting to buy tickets. Well laid out, so fairly easy to follow rooms in sequence and not miss anything. Raphael is still the best in my opinion, and he didn’t disappoint here. One of the best art collections in the world - do not miss.

One of the best art museums located in the heart of London at the famous Trafalgar square.
You have to book tickets in advance online, however, entry is totally free and in case of non rush hours they do not even check your tickets which mean you don't have to stand in queue as well.
In addition to the portraits and the paintings the architecture of the gallery from the inside is really wonderful.
Recommended for a long visit for art lovers but even if you are not an art lover - still recommended for a quick visit if you're in Trafalgar Square.

This art museum is beautiful, the building and the paintings are great. The gallery is free to visit! They could easily charge £1 or £2 per person entrance fee for maintaining this property and it’s collections. Anyway, thanks to the British government for being so generous! I would surly recommend this place for any art lovers.

The National Gallery in London is huge, has extraordinary priceless paintings, ample seating, lovely architecture and admission is free to everyone. Of course, it merits 5 stars.
Bathrooms close around 20 minutes to closing, so time wisely.
I had taken a bus to Leicester Square, but it is easier to go to Trafalgar Square to locate the museum.

Lovely experience for me and my teenage Son. Really nice setting and amazing paintings. Always wanted to see these legendary exhibitions.
I would 100% recommend to pre book your place/tickets as the queues were insane!

A vast collection of paintings by most renowned artists from Europe is on display here. Arts enthusiasts and professionals would enjoy going through these paintings. Please note, If you’re carrying a backpack, the security team would ask you to wear it on your front door.

It's a lovely location with many priceless works of art. The best part is that it's free. It is well worth your time to reserve a shift, or little more than four hours, so that you may take advantage of everything the National Gallery has to offer. Yes, the structure itself is a work of art; take your time and appreciate each picture, each tale, each room.

The National Gallery of London offers an incredible array of artworks, showcasing the talents of masters like Monet, Rousseau, and Van Gogh. The fact that admission is free is truly remarkable, allowing anyone to appreciate these masterpieces without financial barriers. While tickets aren't required, the option to make a donation supports the gallery's ongoing efforts. Overall, it provides a great experience for art enthusiasts and visitors alike.

Incredible experience at national gallery!! Great paintings, really well maintained galleries, very clean and a lot of benches to rest and enjoy the paintings further. The gallery is vast and there's always so much to learn about the portraits themselves and even the little shop has a choice selection of good stuff often at decent prices.

A great place to visit especially for those who is into art.
The national gallery is such a beautiful building and can be visited for free. It is completely accessible with lifts for anyone who needs it, including prams.
Some exhibits can cost money to visit and you should check before you go in case you would like to pay to see something extra.

We were at the Gallery on a weekday (Monday). We couldn't buy a ticket in advance as there were no free slots. We stood in a queue, but it took no more than 10 minutes.
The expositions in the gallery are divided into sectors, very convenient navigation. I recommend a visit.
Also, I recommend visiting the room with the work of Leonardo Davinci. The hall opens after 11:00 as the painting is very sensitive to light. Photo attached)

i love it!
one of the best displays i’ve ever seen.
mainly because the description given are not just pure facts with painter name, but a clear outline of the paint work + storyline to explain the painting. it gives life to the work done.
also, some of the paintings are quite thought provoking!

What's not to like? A superb collection of some of the finest paintings in the world. I used to wander to the gallery when I was younger and ga\e in awe at the incredible skill and artistry of the painters. I hadn't been back for so many years that I had forgotten just how great this gallery is. I cannot recommend it enough.

Another iconic place to visit in London. There are two sections here, one is paid, tickets available online. The other area is open to all visitors for no entree fees. We get to see different form of art from across the world. It's beautiful , well preserved and a good source of learning and inspiration for all the art enthusiasts and others.

I had a great time exploring the National Gallery in London. The variety of artists and their works on display is truly impressive. Each artwork has its own story, and I found myself getting completely absorbed, feeling inspired by the creativity and history around me.
I easily spent an hour just wandering, looking at the paintings, and reading about them. There's so much to see that I could have spent even longer there. Whether you're an art enthusiast or just looking for a culturally enriching experience, the National Gallery is definitely worth a visit.
The atmosphere is great for anyone who wants to immerse themselves in art and get a glimpse of different eras and styles. Highly recommended for a fulfilling and inspiring visit!

Super place for a family outing! The large number of exhibits combined with their diversity will provide hours of sightseeing. We spent more than 3h and had to move quickly. The opportunity to see the greatest works of painting up close makes this a must-see place while in London.

If you are a connoisseur of art then this place is a must visit for you. They have a beautiful collection. Absolutely worth it! The building itself is amazing with a stunning interior design. If you are an art enthusiast, then the art work here is a must! Great collection of paintings from the best art pieces throughout the centuries. Highly recommended.

I’m not a museum-goer, so this review is from the point of view of someone who got outvoted on what to do. Turns out, this place was actually pretty cool. Seeing some of these 10 million dollar-plus paintings in person was incredible.

This was a great opportunity to see amazing works for free. I love this concept. We're students and often skip museums because of the cost. There was a reasonable amount of people and we didn't experience long lines.

My wife was taking part in a sketching class outside whilst I wandered around inside! Who's who of painters covering 500+ years from the incredible fine detail of Canaletto's paintings of Venice to the broad brush strokes of Van Gogh. Free entry, just took a few minutes to get through the bag check. Also a bit of a queue for a free special exhibition - The Last Caravaggio.

Never been before and will definitely be going again on next visit to London.
We took 1.5 hours and only got round about 1/4 so it's most of a full day to really do the whole place.
There is a small lift which can easily take wheelchair or prams, enough space around exhibits as well to get around
We did not have tickets so had to go to back entrance, queue went down quickly, just standard bag checks.

The British Museum, established in 1753 with collections from Sir Hans Sloane, houses over eight million items from around the world. It offers themed departments such as Ancient Egypt and Sudan, Greece and Rome, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Oceania and the Americas. Despite its renowned antiquities like the Elgin Marbles, it's also toddler-friendly with a Families Desk in the Great Court for guidance and Museum Explorer Trails for kids.
Superb few hours here with our first visit. Allow loads of time as there is so much to see and explore. There is something for everyone and would recommend going to each level. Although it's free entry it's worth doing a donation as well. My grandchildren are also fascinated with the museum. Plenty of facilities to make the visit more enjoyable.

Excellent experience. Beautiful place outside and inside. Many interesting collections. Enough to do here for a whole day.. Some of the most precious objects in the world gathered in one place for the pleasure of the public. An incredible archive of human history, a life affirming glimpse into the past and an outstanding reminder of the depth of man's ingenuity.
Don't miss it. If your time is limited, plan ahead. Identify the objects or exhibits you want to see. A week wouldn't be long enough, to take the time, to appreciate every incredible treasure there is to see.

Fantastic experience! The staff were very helpful and the displays and exhibits were marvellous. Everything was laid out logically and spaciously.
The only negative point is there isn’t a lot of seating and it can be quite tiresome. More benches and seats are definitely needed.

Absolutely divine place! Everyone must visit The British Museum at least ones in a lifetime. But to be honest one whole day will be not enough to explore all rooms and exhibitions. We will return!
This is an outstanding experience with super comfortable amenities, delicious food, great rest zones, a lot of entertainment for kids. Can’t describe my love to The British Museum enough!

Amazing experience and all for free! The history of the museum and its additions is a story within itself. The Egyptian section really tapped into imagining what life was like for them. The original museum building being staged how it was originally designed to be used was an insight into society and their interpretation of other cultures at that time. Absolutely fantastic and a Covid safe place to visit. It's hard to describe all the magnificent collections, you'll need to visit yourself 🙂

A wonderful experience on a very wet London day. We arrived mid morning and we were expecting to queue but we went in easily despite the security inspection. There is no cost so no awful queue like the Louvre. We were able to leave coats, bags and umbrellas at the cloakroom for a very reasonable price. This freed us up to enjoy the museum. It is huge! We got a free map then decided to buy the guidebook and study it before setting out. We went to the 3rd floor first and booked for lunch at the restaurant. We then did the 3rd floor which is vast before an EXCELLENT, late lunch. Then down to the ground floor galleries. Unfortunately, the Parthenon galleries were closed but there was so much to see that it really did not matter. Keep some energy: The gift shops and book shops were amazing but since we are travelling light, we had to resist.
We made a donation because this fantastic museum is still free. Enjoy!

As a big history buff, the British Museum certainly didn't disappoint me. I was at the museum with my family, and it was an experience I will never forget.
Even though there were a lot of people and the museum seemed a bit cluttered, once you got to the areas where there weren't so many people, it was a dream come true for me. Beautiful and containing descriptions, I spent several hours in the museum. I liked the passage of ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia and Japan the best. But the most interesting exhibit was undoubtedly Rosetta Stone. Although I understand that for someone who is not so interested in history, the museum may seem boring. For me, it was an experience ! won't soon forget and if l'm ever in London again, I'll definitely go again.

It’s a giant museum. There are many floors and many sessions. There are many samples from different continents and regions of the world (I wonder how they all ended up there?). You need almost a whole day to be able to see everything very calmly and absorb all the information. However it is a unique opportunity and you must do it, even more so that admission is free.

Love this place, wish I could spend more time in this place. It is quite big and I only toured a portion of it. First of all it is free so expect a lot of tourists. Large atrium with a great gift shop. The artifacts are all on the side of the building, and they are nicely preserved. I really liked the Egyptian, Greek and Asian artifacts. Bathroom situation is not great, so plan accordingly.

I keep coming back here as it is such a wonderful museum. There is so much to see and you could spend an entire day exploring. It's an absolute labyrinth so a map is advisable. It was a hot day and the museum was quite warm so dress accordingly. There are some temperature controlled areas and seating throughout, should you need a rest or cool off

Our third museum visit on the same day. This was always our go to museum on past visits to London.
There is so much to learn and rediscover here, and we love the Assyrian and Egyptian exhibits.
Also, the huge covered roof creates such a wonderful place, with the two cafe dining areas bookending the souvenir store.
The reading room upstairs is also a must visit.
Entrance is free but you need to book your date and time online in advance.

The British Museum houses an extensive and diverse collection of history, culture, and art around the world. The exhibits are well-organized and provide insightful context.
We spent about 4h walking around and absorbing history. You can definitely spend more time because it's huge and requires a lot of walking.
Entry to the museum is free!
Would recommend doing homework on what you'd like to see the most and plan your route before your visit.
We took a map and clearly indicated "must see" which made it easier to navigate.
Overall, it's a must-visit destination.
Highly recommended!

Amazing place to visit, just not happy about the booking time slots, still have to join the long queue, there is no separate queue for advance bookings. Also when you book online you have to pay donations although it says it's free. But people on the day just join the queue and no-one put any money in the donation boxes. So what's the point booking in advance. I will say just go on the day join the queue and off you go. Great collections from different parts of the world especially Egypt.

I've wanted to come here for quote sometime. Some fantastic artifacts on display here spanning different cultures and time periods. I really recommend but be prepared if go during school holiday a huge queue outside as you have to queue to have your bag checked before entering. So much to see you could spend absolutely hours here. I can't comment on the cafe as I didn't visit there but a stall outside a had an amazing late from.

Super worth visiting, a great collection. Staff (security at the entrance) super helpful and friendly. Queue can take a bit long because it’s very busy, you need to book your tickets before hand (but it’s free). If you like to really read and aprons the items, save something around 2-4hr for this visit. For those who carry big backpacks, there is a shopping right in front of the main entrance that you can leave you luggage for £6.
Highly recommend!

A vast amount of historical heritage in one place. Many civilizations, an immense museum. Be prepared to spend over 6 hours to visit the museum; it's commendable that there are places to buy food and drinks within the museum.
Book your tickets before the visit to enter more quickly, and also, do not carry a backpack as it will expedite your entry; you won't have to go through a check.

Have been many times before but went to see the temporary “Legion, Life in the Roman Army” exhibit. Totally spaced it and didn’t preorder the free timed entry and had to kill some time at the Starbucks across the street. Once in I explored some of the favorites - Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece, Japan, and China.
The Legion exhibit was interesting. There were some wonderful looking artifacts and the displays were well arranged. I liked the idea of following along in the foot steps of a single person. My one complaint is with the patrons, not the museum - when the place is full and there are others looking at the same display, don’t be thoughtless and constant in front of the thing like it’s your own little party. Be aware and be considerate.

The building, first listed as Grade II in 1970, was upgraded to Grade I in 2011.
In 2013, it was announced that 55 Broadway would be converted into luxury apartments, once London Underground moved operations from the building in 2015 to their new headquarters in the Olympic Park, Stratford, London.
In May 2014, it was announced that the architects, TateHindle, would lead the redevelopment and, in June 2015, planning permission and listed building consent was granted: however, this was not implemented and the planning permission expired in June 2018.
In September 2019, a long-term lease of the property was sold by Transport for London for £120 million to Integrity International Group, founded by Tony Matharu.
In May 2020, it was announced that Blue Orchid Hotels, a subsidiary of Integrity International, would convert the structure into a luxury hotel. (Wiki)

At first I was worried I wouldn’t be able to follow the system or get myself lost. Which I did, end up going the wrong way. But it’s actually so easy to follow, it’s good to make a few errors as then you will be conscious of ensuring you’re on the right tube. London Underground is amazing and it is really easy to get around and see places. I would walk around central London. Use the underground when going further afield.
The trains are very regular, you will find they can get very busy, packed. Don’t feel you need to squeeze in, just wait for the next train as it will add to your experience and enjoy it better.
As you would anywhere just be vigilant of your surroundings. I felt very safe, as a solo traveler I was very surprised.

This is a good way to get around London. The new trains and updated stations are good. It is easy to get a ticket and to get around. However, the ventilation is poor, horrible, hot, and sweaty. It makes for an unbearable and uncomfortable ride. However, some of the trains and train stations have proper ventilation and air but most do not. I only take one train with no transfers, which is all that I can bear, and walk just to be outside where I can breath easy. I caution you to only ride when necessary and recommend you walk outside if able.

Camden Market is a vibrant and eclectic destination that's a must-visit for anyone seeking a diverse shopping and dining experience. The market's unique mix of alternative fashion, arts, crafts, and international cuisine creates a captivating atmosphere that's truly one-of-a-kind. However, it's important to note that the popularity of Camden Market can lead to overcrowding, especially during weekends and peak tourist seasons. This can make navigating through the narrow streets and exploring the stalls a bit challenging, detracting from the overall enjoyment of the visit. If you prefer a more relaxed shopping environment, consider visiting during off-peak hours to fully appreciate the market's charm without feeling overwhelmed by the crowds.

One of the best markets in London with four quarters/sections: Camden Lock, Stables Market, Hawley Wharf and Buck Street. Each quarter has its own style and is good for different things. Not a night place for kids but for adults. Kids can be brought during daytime. I don't mean kids aren't allowed, but small kids can be better taken to other places. There is also little containers people can sit in to stay warm and sit down to eat food they bought in the market, these are free and maintained by volunteers.

Hardly resembled the real person. Also, keep in mind they keep changing the displays from time to time so my experience might differ from others.

This is a must see and recommended attraction any one must do if you are a tourist and local. See all your favourite figures all on near perfect wax models and entertainment. Staff friendly and covid cautious. We enjoyed our visit and would come back again.

Amazing experience whenever you go here. Good few hours with friends and family. There is not much to do for small kids though.
Love the spirit of London ride, also the 4D cinema experience is good.
Missed some of the famous Bollywood statues as they have been shipped to Dubai.
Must visit experience for anyone touring London.

Nice walkabout. Surprisingly less child friendly than I expected. Highlights were the Alien section, London serial killers and the Marvel 4D experience. Not much interest in the celebrities and the Star Wars section is a bit too small but still fun!

Beautiful, clean & well maintained. All the statuses were clean & very well maintained.
I loved the whole England history overview section with taxi ride.
Don't miss Marvel's section, specifically 4D movie.

I absolutely loved the museum! You get your money's worth, as there is plenty to see inside, there's a 4D cinema room and a little taxi ride with some history explained along the way. There was also a house of horrors, but not recommended for children or people with weak stomachs. You can also have your hand moulded in wax and there's a souvenir shop at the end. Work on spending 2.5-3 hours inside.

You book the ticket well in advance and then turn up on the given time slot while booking. I went to Madame Tussads ages ago, and quite a bit has changed.
There was a horror a bit which we missed and not sure whether we would like it so we proceeded to Avengers section which was really nice. I would recommend the Avengers 4d show it was amazing.

Absolutely magnificent and must-see attraction in London. There are a lot of things to see and great figures of celebrities from worlds of music, sport, art, politics, history. The short 3D Marvel movie with special effects is also very interesting and the part that we loved the most was the ride by train through the history of London. That is a truly great experience! It's interesting both for adults and kids.

It’s very worth visiting attraction. Wax figures come to life.
Wheelchair user friendly but you will need to book a time-slot for wheelchair before your visit.

Stunning and interesting Madame Tussauds wax museum.
Here you can take pictures not only with famous personalities, but also with movie or cartoon characters, and also take a ride through a tunnel that tells about the history of England in colorful exhibitions of those times.
We had a lot of fun, had a lot of fun and took a lot of photos.
There is also a souvenir shop at the exit.
We bought tickets online through booking, while we were walking to the museum, we stood in line for about 10-20 minutes to enter.

Its was a great experience. We booked our tickets online a day before. It was slightly cheaper than to buy on site as we got little discount. We went there on weekdays so there wasn’t long queue to wait and no rush inside. Inside its too warm, could be because of the lights and no visible windows for fresh air. The wax statues are fun to watch and take pictures with them. We all enjoyed a lot.

O experienta frumoasa!

A beautiful experience! I bought the tickets in advance online, but I went on a Monday and it wasn't crowded when buying tickets! Very nice tour, it was in several categories, firstly the wax statues of some famous people, then the chamber of horrors, then it took you on a little train made up of taxis and you visited the era of Queen Elizabeth (the most interesting part), then the Marvel characters with a small video in a 4D cinema and finally the starwars characters! Everything is interesting and it's for children too!

Wasn't expecting much. Never been before. Had already made my mind up in advance that I wouldn't enjoy it, however, I was wrong. It was a lovely experience. Some characters better than others, but the majority were very realistic.

We bought fast track ticket combo with London Eye (online).. Luckily we chose entry at 10AM because they open at 10AM. When arriving there was already very very long queue of people waiting.. Those with fast track ticket had special mini queue. We went through the security and then inside.. Being among first people gave us huge advantage.. We were there almost alone for about 10-15 minutes..
I was there after 16 years.. I have photos then and now.. Probably 90% of exhibition and figurines were different now.. Science and technology also moved forward because some of new figurines look astonishing, like alive.. Some of them resemble their alive clones not so much..
Being ahead of crowds gave us freedom to enjoy exhibition. We were done within an hour. Overally we liked it a lot.

"Had an outstanding time at Madame Tussauds London. The attention to detail in the wax statues is truly remarkable, making you feel like you're standing next to the real celebrities and historic figures. Each statue, crafted meticulously, offers a fantastic photo opportunity. The entire experience is brilliantly crafted to immerse visitors. The taxi ride, shedding light on London's rich history, was both educational and entertaining. A definite highlight was the 4DX movie – it added an awesome, thrilling dimension to our visit. With so much to see, we found ourselves completely engrossed, spending nearly 3 hours and snapping hundreds of photos. By the end, we were a bit exhausted but in the best way possible. It's a comprehensive and memorable journey that transcends just wax figures. Highly recommend for a unique London experience!"

The experience was great. The statues are life size and resemble an exact copy. Multiple sections to cover so have ample time. Too crowded sometimes to pose with your interests.

Fantastic experience. A must visit attraction when you are in London. Wax figures look very real. Visited on Sunday afternoon and it was not very crowded at that time. They have figures of famous celebrities , Royal family, star wars and marvels. Spend a good 2 hours inside the museum. There was a good ride inside which was also fabulous. Try to buy tickets in advance that will avoid any hassle there.

Took my children there for the half term , we loved every bit of it especially the taxi ride telling stories about the spirit of London as we travelled through something like a tunnel. Well recommended for anyone that wants to have a view of what real life celebrities look like😝

🕯️ I've never been a fan of Madame Tussauds, except for visiting their wax museum here in London. I am really impressed and can say that every penny we spent here is really worth it. All the stars you know from Hollywood, film and television and celebrities in general from all over the world are set up here as wax figures. Even Marvel heroes are available as a 4D studio included in the price. There is also a taxi tour of England's history. They are fake taxis of course, see photos :) You can also buy merchandising items at the end of the tour (studios). and you should definitely allow yourself about 2 hours for the entire tour (some more, some less). Making our own wax hands was a big hit for us. When creating the wax hands, we were really impressed by Ahmed‘s artistic work. He's a genius and you definitely have to say that and praise him sometimes.

We had a great visit here. We came in first thing in the morning just before opening and lines were already alongside the building.
If you can come in early.
The place has several parts. One of wax dolls and one of a 4D film, one with a two sites ride and one with Movie characters.
The whole round took us about two hours.
The kids really enjoyed it and we would definitely come back here again. A great attraction.

Visited this popular wax museum a few months back for an event. The gallery was well managed and boasted a grand collection of well-crafted wax figures of prominent personalities. Coupled with this, the organisation of the party was outstanding, making the experience truly memorable. The staff were very cooperative and the ambiance was top-notch. A great effort by the management to keep up with the expectations of its patrons.

35 years on since i last visited and it was amazing! We had the best day out.. so many photos... it wasn't that busy neither considering it was a Saturday afternoon (mid march) and a big queue to get in.
There is good variety with the themes of the models, from action heroes to celebs and genres. They had star wars scenes too, which was my personal fave. There was a quite good 4d marvel movie as well. I highly recommend it, especially if you like taking photos.
Ben Wilson — Google review
We have been several times in the gaps and each time we were delighted with the new settings.
Worth every penny.
They are well organized, regardless of the big crowd. Everything goes very fast at the entrance.
You have as much time as you want to see everything in the Museum, approximately 1.5-2 hours is quite enough.
House of Horrors is really scary. Near the end, they also have a ride in a small train where they show scenes of life in London over the centuries.
It is recommended to buy a set of tickets with other sights of London because you can save a lot (for example, London eye and Madame Tussauds, price around £50 for adults, for 2 attractions). If you buy with several attractions, the price is even more favorable and the ticket lasts for 3 months.

Great experience with lots of figures to see spanning many genres. There was a ride and a 4d show included, which broke up the walking nicely. There were hands-on wax hands for those interested and a gift shop at the end.

I went here yesterday for a day out because I hadn't been for a bit 😁 the bag searches were efficient and the ticket scanning was also efficient.
Lots of celebrities to have met and had every photo opportunity with, I enjoyed looking around at the celebrities and the venue was fab! I really enjoyed it 💃🏻🕺🏻🪩
It's worth the money and a lot to see, the taxi ride was awesome and the horror tour was amazing too! Aswell as 4D cinema! There was lots to see and I will be back again 🥰
I also loved the disco part where you could press the button to start a party 🪩 that was fun and I was enjoying it! It was very good 😃

A well spent 3 Hours!! The place had so many different themes that made it all the more interesting and enjoyable. Especially the Chamber of Horrors and the 4DX Marvel cinematic experience. The wait for getting inside was a bit long even with a time specific pre booking but it is understandable as it was a Saturday afternoon.

Good place for a day out when it’s a rainy day in London. If you have Merlin pass you can enter the fast track entrance. Highly recommend booking ticket in advance otherwise you are looking at long Que to enter. We took lots of funny photos and highlight was the 4D Marvel experience. In total I was there for 90 minutes with my family.

As one of the main tourist attractions you definitely know that this place could be during the pick time a bit more overcrowded. If you accept it then you will have an interesting point of view even on the history of England. Except for the world-famous people you will see also life in old London. So you will see a lot. Thank you🤩
The Victoria & Albert Museum is the largest museum of decorative and applied arts in the world. It has a wide range of exhibits, including creative activities for kids. The museum is also home to the Rapid Response Collection, which features contemporary pieces that react to significant moments in recent history.
The description of this museum (online) does not fully describe everything you will see here. It states textiles, fashion, etc. but it is so much more than that. The cast room alone is worth the visit, truly. We thought we would 'briefly' stop in to enjoy the museum, and ended up staying for many hours. Definitely worth seeing. This and the British Museum have been my favorites on this trip. Highly recommend.

My first time going here and i can’t believe why I have waited so long. I love everything about this place. Peaceful surrounds in a magnificent setting. Plenty of time to just stroll and really appreciate the exhibits and sculptures etc. Free entry (some exhibitions that you can pay for and which i will come back and do). Nice that there are people dotted throughout sketching etc so its nice to see their perspectives. This would have to be one of my favourite museums in the world.

One of my favourite London museums! It's a beautiful building both from the outside and the inside. Entry is free however there are some paid exhibitions. It's quite big and you can have a stroll around all day in the different sections and floors, each of them dedicated to a different time period. There are a lot of magnificent pieces of art - painting, sculptures, and other interesting pieces. There are gift shop, a cafe and customer toilets on site. If you're visiting London make sure you don't miss checking out V&A!

One of the best Museums in the world. So many interesting items. The collections focus on the power of good design and beautiful objects. A must see attraction in London. The museum offers free tours that run on every hour. The collections include contemporary pieces & old ones providing interest and breadth of design features. The Jewellery section is particularly rich with beautiful objects.
A huge plus The museum offers great options for sandwiches/Salads/soup/deserts and you get to have your meal in beautiful rooms or if the weather is nice in the outside garden and around the fountain and pool. DO NOT MISS THE museum SHOP 😍🥰

Incredible FREE museum. The Courtyard in the middle has a little pool where children were splashing around. Lots of tables to relax and enjoy a peaceful afternoon. The jewelry collection, the room of plaster castings…Go and explore, too much to see it all so just look at what you like! Or go back several times.

My most favourite museum in the world.
Amazing treasures from medieval times to present day. Beautiful galleries, amazing portraits.
I love the jewellery section, being able to see the jewels of people like Queen Victoria and then walk out and see them wearing them in portraits.
When I visit I want to redecorate my house with wonderful, beautiful things, that will last for hundreds of years.
We went early and it was lovely and quiet. Was reasonably busy when we left.

Love V&A. We were time pressed so we were rushing through. Need to allot a whole day to enjoy this place. The indoor outdoor spaces were very well thought out. Love the mix of ancient and modern.
And the fact that most of the pieces were not cased. Also loved the cafeteria. The rooms were magnificent. The food and food choices were very good for the cafeteria style restaurant.

This museum is right next to the National History Museum so plan accordingly. This is a beautiful museum featuring many displays from Asian derived to other European items. All items are displayed wells and with appropriate decorative style befitting the time period. Overall, this is a very well stocked museum with many interesting items. Good experience.

The V&A is an amazing place to visit; although I always feel a little lost in there. It’s enormous and just packed full of stunning displays, collections and exhibitions.
We were hoping to see the theatre collection but at the time of visiting the area had been closed because of low temperatures.
Instead we explored other sections including some of the jewellery, silverware, stained glass and tapestry. The V&A is definitely somewhere that you could visit multiple times and still have more to see.
There’s a really lovely atmosphere in the museum and the ground floor where you will see many people sketching us always packed. My recommendation would be to go up a couple of levels where there are fewer visitors and then you can soak up the atmosphere and really enjoy your surroundings.

The main reason why I visited the museum is to see the Gabrielle Chanel Fashion Manifesto exhibition which is now fully sold out. It is excellent and well curated. Many of her iconic coats and dresses are on display as well as her cosmetic range. The exhibition is not free but for Chanel fans it’s worth a visit. One also gets to see the history behind her creations. Two hours needed.
I also visited the sculpture section seeing the works of Rodin. It’s nice. As for the very much raved about cafe, I find it so so. True that the high ceiling is beautiful with great art work, the service of the cafe crew begs improvement. I find ordering a bit confusing too. But the place is beautiful and given that the museum is free except for special exhibitions, it’s worth a visit.

This is a spectacular museum with so much to recommend it I don't know where to start. The museum building outside and inside is incredibly beautiful. The medieval section has many beautiful pieces. I also enjoyed the China and Korea exhibit. That's all I had time to see! If you are in London don't miss this gem.

Very large Museum. The cast room is amazing. Lots of different eras covered. The centre area with the pool is a good area to relax and dip your feet in the pool. The best part is the museum is still free!!! Other major cities can learn from the London model.

First time visitor. Solo traveler.
Recommendation: No children or minors unless they have an unusual affinity/appreciation for the arts. The ones I saw in there looked bored. Additionally, plan hours or days. The place is huge with multiple exhibits. Naturally everyone has favorites. But to appreciate the breadth of the museums catalog, one needs to plan multiple hours or visits.

Visited on a weekday(Friday). Entry was free and no bookings necessary.
It was massive with lots to see and appreciate. You'd need more than a couple of hours to really get the most of your visit. Spent about 3hrs instead of the 1hr I had initially scheduled.
No drinks and foods allowed in but there is a cafe and designated eating area inside.
If you love museums, this has to be a must see.

Hands down the most amazing collection of art and design I have seen. It's worth every second of the four hours spent there, and I can't wait to go back!
Take a look at the exhibit map before you start, focus on a few areas, and plan for more than one trip!
Also, grab lunch or tea in the cafe or out in the garden cafe. The food was delicious too!

Fabulous museum of arts and crafts, with so many wonderful exhibits, I don't think you could see everything properly if you visited every day for a year. My favourite galleries were the iron work and the modern glass. It is frankly awesome that admission is free.
A couple of minor niggles; the galleries are a bit of a maze, so it is not easy finding your way around, secondly the cafe is about as expensive as anywhere I have ever eaten - £5.90 for a scone, anyone?!

Good location about 7/8 minutes waking distance from South Kensington station with disable access and clean toilet facilities. Absolutely necessary to visit while you’re in London. There is something for EVERYONE. There are pieces from all continents and cultures, and it stays true to its original purpose of art education and cultivation. I recommend the jewellery, cast rooms, and silver rooms for first timers. The glass room, renaissance rooms and Islamic room are also worth a visit.

Unfortunately, we didn't have time to properly view all of the exhibits.
The exhibits we did see were impressive. We caught an impressive live performance from the 'Red Ladies'. Their performance was certainly thought-provoking. It was a polished performance littered with impressive twists and surprises. The exhibits are well spaced out and information regarding the exhibits are very informative without being long winded and time consuming.
This allows for a speedy procession through the building.
We will return and allot the time the museum obviously deserves. Free entry is certainly appreciated.

My favourite art museum in London! There is a mixture of modern and traditional pieces: a little something for everyone. I would recommend getting a map on entry, then deciding which sections and floors you want to see, as it is a very big museum. It wasn't busy when we went, however it might be in public holidays, so be careful.

An exquisite place. Absolutely fascinating and densely packed with amazing art, educational tools, and information. A must visit.
It took me approximately 5-6 hours and I strongly recommend not dedicating any less to this museum. But if you're short on time, I'd say still give it a visit. It's a visual stunner. I especially recommend the sculpture halls, cast courts and the jewellery rooms.
The musical exhibition is also fantastic but it might be temporary.

We included this museum to our plans as a secondary stop in the first place, but then we saw that it is a very underrated place!
We actually spent more time and interest in this place than the British Museum. It has such a wide range of pieces from all over the world and the design of the museum is so good that you do not want to miss anything. Moreover, it is not crowded like other museums so you get more chances to see everything at your pace and longer.
Also, you do not have to reserve your tickets and it's free, you just enter through through the door and you are in.
Definitely and absolutely a must-visit.

Starting out on the new Elizabeth line, we whipped across East to West London. Accessing the museum was easy a few feet from the South Kensington tube.
As you go in, donations are requested, and maps are offered. The exhibitions are well laid out, and the museum map offers a route around, and there are hours of exhibits to pique your interest.
The cafe is very expensive even for London prices £2.55 for a small water is unacceptable. But the tea room is a wonderful room, worth a look.
There are lectures and guides available. The museum offers a £5 audio guide, so beware expensive fake guides!! We spotted a few.
The trip was wonderful and we will return with a better agenda and more time. Maybe to take a sketch as well, which we saw a lot of artists doing there.

I love this museum, it's been a few years since my last visit. I looked around the jewellery display and the stained glass. Followed by coffee and passion fruit tart in the café, ending with a look around the gift shop. The building itself is beautiful and there's a great selection in the shop. Unfortunately I didn't have time to do anything else I would have liked to look around the Egyptian display. Well worth a visit.

First visit for many years and had an interesting and fun afternoon. The food in the restaurant was amazing and the dining rooms were worth a visit in themselves. Monolithic in size and content! Mainly helpful staff and good accessibility across the place, decent toilets and beautiful hallways. Some areas are in need of TLC with wording faded and tattered, with money being ring fenced for other more ‘exciting’ parts. Anything less than a 5 star to this fabulous museum would be an injustice to ratings. Some of the finest collections on the planet in a vast area. Easily 1 day to explore. Fabulous dining area , if somewhat fast food in style with plastic trays to take the food to your hastily found large shared table. Bit hey its all about the exhibits.

This museum is expansive. If you give even a little attention to all exhibits you will be there all afternoon. Tapestries, ceramics, photography, sculpture, furniture too much to list really. Also right across the street from the Museum of Natural History and the Science Museum. You can definitely make a whole day and then some in this one area of London.
The Natural History Museum is a renowned landmark showcasing animals and natural phenomena through interactive exhibits and lifelike dinosaur displays. It hosts the annual Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition, featuring over 50,000 submissions from 95 countries. Such an absolutely wonderful time. I love museums of natural history and I'm not used to going to museums for free so this was such a pleasant experience.
This was my first time at the Natural History Museum in London and there were so many wonderful exhibits. I was a little sad that the escalator which looks like you are going directly into a planet was down but this museum still had so many beautiful rooms filled with amazing aspects of natural history.
While I loved many if the exhibits, my favorite part was walking into the grand entrance. It literally looked like I was walking into Hogwarts. That may sound strange to some, but I was just in such awe of its grandness and beauty.
Definitely hope to return again in the future.

The Natural History Museum in London is an absolute gem and a must-visit attraction for families, especially those with school-age children. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by the grandeur of its massive halls and the promise of endless exploration.
While the museum caters to visitors of all ages, it truly shines as a destination for kids and families. The abundance of hands-on activities ensures that young minds stay engaged and curious throughout their visit. The dinosaur exhibit, in particular, is a hit with visitors of all ages and is sure to leave a lasting impression.
As if the captivating exhibits weren't enough, the best part is that admission to the museum is free! However, I highly recommend ordering tickets online to avoid long queues. Booking in advance allows you to select a convenient time slot, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free entry.
Whether you're seeking shelter from a rainy day or simply looking for an enriching family activity, the Natural History Museum is the perfect choice. An impressive place, the museum is enormous and you cannot see everything in a couple of hours. My recommendation is to look at the map and select in advance the exhibits that are most appealing to you. The highly popular dinosaur’s exhibit is located at the ground floor and can be busy.
I especially like the Earth Treasure’s gallery with magnificent rocks and gems.
You can buy the museum activity book for 5p that includes a map and nice explanations and tasks for kids.

You can't go wrong with free entry. Fantastic way to spend a few hours. Great, interesting exhibitions for all ages. Bought the Kids guide but only used it for the map during the visit. Will probably make more use out of it during the train journey home!

This museum has been on my bucket list forever and finally I have made the trip here earlier this year in spring. Reserved the tickets online. There was a queue in the morning. It was still pretty quick to get in when the doors opened.
Ah the displays were wonderful! Everything was a delight. Especially the more famous displays. Was floored by the hanging skeleton of the whale in the entrance hall.
To anyone out there who loves museums. This is a must visit. You may not be able to cover it all in one day but it is sure fun to try.
Be prepared for some crowds I guess. It wasn't too overwhelming on the day I visited.

The most famous and interesting museum in London. It is also undoubtedly one of the most beautiful architectural buildings in London.
The entrance is free.
We were here on a weekday, so there weren't many people.
The museum is divided into 4 zones:
• orange - zoology
• blue - dinosaurs, fish, reptiles, mammals and marine life
• green - birds, insects, giant sequoia, minerals
• red zone - minerals, volcanoes, earthquakes, human evolution.
I really liked the blue whale - its skeleton hangs at the entrance to the museum.
° exposition with dinosaurs.
° exhibits of stones, miners, diamonds and stones interspersed with gold, silver, platinum.
There are restrooms inside.

The Natural History Museum in London has a special place in our hearts as one of our family's absolute favourites. We've made countless visits over the years, and it's time we shared just how extraordinary this cathedral of knowledge truly is.
Stepping into the museum feels like entering a magical world of discovery, where every corner promises something fascinating. The architecture alone is enough to captivate, but the sheer depth and breadth of the exhibits truly astound. Each visit leaves us in awe, and I doubt we'll ever tire of exploring its wonders.
We visited again recently when Siena, my daughter, who is in year 12 at school, needed to do some research for her geography school studies; we knew exactly where to spend our day. Amidst the breathtaking array of minerals at the Natural History Museum, we found ourselves immersed in a world of learning and excitement. The museum's collection is not just impressive; it's absolutely mesmerizing.
Whether you're a visitor to London or a local, with or without children, a trip to this museum is an absolute must. The sheer diversity of species and the captivating insights into nature, minerals, and geography make it an experience that quickens the pulse and ignites the imagination. It's a place that calls you back time and time again.
On a personal note, we must express gratitude to the Natural History Museum for its role in our daughter's journey. Her time volunteering here only solidified her passion for environmental sciences, setting her on a path she's genuinely excited to pursue at university.
Thank you, Natural History Museum, for being an endless source of inspiration.

One of the best museums I have ever visited. It was an unbelievable geological and biological journey in time. I didn't know what I had to focus on; the beauty of the building or the collection itself. I wish I had more time(maybe days) to spend here. It was nice to meet you Dodo!

Another wonderful museum in London! A place to spend a whole day! Astonishing architecture, wonderful collections, kids-friendly place, nice souvenir shops. I found the dinosaur and minerals collections especially fascinating! The curators have done their job brilliantly! The part on volcanoes was really helpful and insightful!

We went on a Friday afternoon, and it was super busy and I think this affected the experience. I am the sort that typically require some space and quite to ponder on the specimens and exhibitions. There was also a long queue, guessing this had to do with the fact it was a Bank Holiday weekend.
The Museum itself wasn't bad. Sections of the building and ground was under renovation but this didn't take away from the beauty of the building. I thought it was grand. I loved the intricate designs both in and out as well as the elegant ceilings. Those were worth paying attention too as well. And the hanging specimens from the roof were a stunner.
Although the weather control didn't seem to work and it was mostly a sweaty experience, we still managed to have a good time. In the end, we found the Cafe/Restaurant on the ground floor and sat by a fan. The toilet was clean.

The Natural History Museum is absolutely enormous and very popular with both tourists and locals alike. Just like every other visitor we had to have a look at the dinosaurs but our visit this time was to see the photography exhibition.
The Wildlife Photographer of the Year is a paid exhibition but very good value as the depth and quality of the photography is stunning!
As in previous years I think that some of the best in the exhibit were taken by young people from across the world.
The staff do a good job of ensuring that numbers in the exhibition are limited so that you do get enough time and space to see each photo and commentary.
The Natural History Museum is a must visit if you are in London but don’t expect to see everything in one go-you’ll need to visit many times!

My recent visit to the National History Museum in London was truly captivating. From the moment I entered, I was greeted by impressive exhibits showcasing the diversity of life on Earth. Highlights included the Earth Galleries and the Darwin Centre, both offering immersive experiences. The museum's dedication to education and conservation was evident throughout. Highly recommended for anyone visiting London!

Recommendation: Book tickets before to avoid make long line because there are a lot of interesting places to check inside the museum.
If you want to take pictures and read about the items and visit shops will be perfect to have a lot of free time probably 5 hours. In case that you are on schedule 2-3 hours non-stop you will be able to go to all museum sections.

Impressive place. Highly recommended to visit at least once. At slow pace definitely can take around 4 hours to see everything. The collection is really interesting and the way the building looks makes things look even better. At weekday it's not too busy, although always some school trips will be there, but considering it's a free museum it's not a big problem.

Absolutely beautiful museum that will take you at least three hours. Expect a lot of schools and people on weekdays so you need to make time. There's a cafe so you don't have to worry about drinks or food. Beautiful architecture and amazing exhibits.

We visited natural history museum with my son. It was a great experience. You can find fossils of dinosaurs, preserved animals, minerals and gem stones, earth and effects of factors on earth like wind water earthquakes etc. You can also find the planets and solar system. So it is a nice and fun family activity. If you need to pray during your visit there is a contemplation room for prayers. You must spare a whole day for your visit. Give a break at cafeteria after several hours and then continue to discover what is left. By the way tickets are online and free of charge if you want you can donate. Strongly advice to book your tickets online in order to avoid long queue for tickets at the entrance.

Walking up to the museum hits hard with the amazing architecture. It’s overwhelmingly gorgeous. There is no cost to go in, but they do request a donation. You get a free guide book with your donation. Inside, the first thing you see is the skeleton of a whale hanging overhead. It was amazing. The dinosaur area was overly crowded, and there were tons of children so we didn’t stay long. The mammal area was the same. The rest of the museum was just moderately busy, and there were so many cool things to see!! I wish we had more time.

Lovely museum with so much to see. Very busy though! We pre booked which was the best decision as the queue to get in was enormous. Was very clean despite the heavy foot traffic, would recommend going on a week day early morning to avoid the crowds. Children were running about screaming in the most popular areas such as the dinosaurs, but other exhibits were much quieter but equally as interesting.
A few exhibits were closed for upkeep, cannot wait to revisit and go explore them as well.

The Natural History Museum is just amazing. The architecture is just spectacular. The fossils are beautifully preserved. If you want to see everything, 2 days would probably be best, however we went to see the dinosaurs and mammals. There is a queuing system for the crowds that works well. However if you are disabled, you get fast tracked through to the entrance and the staff are so very helpful. I brought my papers and attempted to show them, however they understood me and did not need the evidence. Lots of seating throughout and spaces to rest away from the crowds. Events like this can be quite overwhelming, however the staff make it smooth and enjoyable. Not every disability is visible. The shop is not over priced and the products they sell are all very appealing. The museum is situated on Cromwell Road and close to South Kensington Tube. Best of all it is free entry for all.

WWT Arundel is a family-friendly nature reserve that offers walks and boat tours, as well as the rare opportunity to spot birds in their natural habitat. The reserve is always beautiful no matter what the weather, with excellent paths and plenty of hides to shelter in if it rains. redevelopment work is ongoing at the moment but this only makes the place more interesting to explore.
It is always such a lovely place to visit rain or shine. There are excellent paths, and plenty of hides to shelter in if it rains. There is a lot of redevelopment work going on at the moment, and my favourite bridge has been dismantled. There is always plenty to see, and the birds and ducks change depending on the season.

Really enjoyable afternoon. Lovely surroundings and really enjoyed the birds. Particularly enjoyed the little bird swimming pool with glass sides. We were treated to an underwater swimming display by one very active duck. Beautiful. Nice cafe and friendly staff. Easy to access for my husband's powered wheelchair.

I have always loved coming here it is beautiful and quiet and tranquil. We went with four children of different ages and they all loved it. We went on the boat trip with a very friendly and knowledgeable man who even slowed the boat down and went back to show the children what they had missed. We were even lucky enough to see a grass snake. The talks were also lovely as well including the pelican talk. I would highly recommend coming to see the birds here.

It was nice. Lovely walk, however the restaurant had very little choices of food , most of the food were "out of stock" and it is very highly priced, it would probably nicer to visit in a warmer weather , we could not see many of the birds and animals , the bird exhibition was closed . The gift shop just by the entrance is also very highly priced.

Lots of opportunities to see birds here - although it will be 90% ducks and gulls. Great to wander around for 2 hours and very pushchair accessible. Cafe has a lovely view over a wetlands area too. Ideally would've had more variety in birds.

Lovely place to visit, we spent a good couple of hours here. There is plenty to see and do it's a place for everyone. For two adults it was £14.95 each that included gift aid, we also book the boat for £3.00 each and it was well worth it. To see some of these birds and ducks enjoying life was definitely the highlight.

Nice place when the weather is good. Restaurant does not have enough choices of food and they ran out pretty quickly of hot food. I would take packed lunch and drinks as the food is bit pricy and next to non existence. Also you can not use sitting area inside when the weather is bad.

Fabulous place to visit especially if you like photography. Great opportunities to get up close to many varieties of birds and loved the Pelicans!!
Nice restaurant overlooking the lake offering tasty menu. Easy to spend a good few hours at any visit.

It's good but compared with a normal nature reserve it's a bit zooish. However, the bird hides are very good, and eventually as the sun was rapidly disappearing I managed to get some pics of a Kingfisher. Had to use a load of exposure compensation, hence the very light background. Also saw lovely grey wagtail and the elusive water rail. Plus a pair of peregrine falcons on the adjacent hill. The visitor centre was good, staff friendly and helpful, and I loved the vegan pasties (even though I'm an omnivore).

Lovely time there, and we had beautiful weather. Saw lots of different birds. Easy to get round with a wheelchair. It's disabled friendly.
We ate there in the cafe, but there are places to picnic. It has places and things for children to enjoy.

I went with a friend and my almost 3 year old toddler. It was a wet and chilly day, but we spent a good 4 hours on site. We booked a 25-minute boat trip upon arrival, and it was lovely. My toddler was given a life jacket to wear. The cafe had a selection of hot and cold foods. The cakes looked amazing!
The centre staff were welcoming, and my toddler was even given a sticker as it was his first visit, a lovely gesture.
There were free crafts for children to do under cover. There is a small play area. We didn't take a pushchair as mine loves walking, but the paths are suitable to take one with you. There are bid hides, willow woven structures, and more. We saw the pelican feeding session.
Free parking on site.
Well worth a visit.

Stunning place to visit, so peaceful out there, took the boat ride round the sanctuary, boat captain very knowledgeable (Joel?) explained a lot about the birds, also has amazing eyesight to spot a buzzard half way up the hills in a tree! Walking round way lovely, the hides and a good way to watch the birds without disturbing them. All in all a great day out, our 8 year old son enjoyed it too

Excellent site to see a huge variety of birds in natural surroundings, main entrance is looking a little tired but don't let that put you off, the admission staff are very helpful and welcoming, inside the main building is a gift shop and cafe, once outside you immediately see a large area of water with lots of different birds, walkways then lead you around the site with a number of hides en route many sited opposite areas of water, there is a picnic area with tables and benches close to the main entrance.
Parking is free and on site.

Have been a member for a long time now. Always something to see and enjoy. Even in winter you can catch a glimpse of something interesting and then warm up in the cafe with a coffee. I would recommend bringing your own food in the summer months as food is a little pricey. My favourite is always seeing the sand martins and the eiders. Looking forward to returning soon.

Today was my family’s first visit to WWT Arundel. What a wonderful place. The site is well maintained and set out. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The boat rides are a highlight. The wildfowl are well treated. The cafe serves simple but well prepared food and the gift shop is well curated (particularly the range of books and bird-themed picture books). We will definitely visit again.

Absolutely beautiful flora and fauna. We loved the meandering walkways that gently guide you through the park. There's something to discover around every bend. I particularly loved the sand martin nesting bank, which was brimming with life. The wooden reed walkway, the willow objects, fences and sphere, and the Wetlands Secrets hut were other highlights. Not to mention the birds and the hides. It all feels very natural, and with the woods as the backdrop even a bit like a European jungle, yet is easily accessible. You can see glimpses of the castle between the trees, which gives everything a magical feeling. Personally I liked the wilder parts of the park more than the fenced in areas with the more exotic birds.
We went on a slightly drizzly Friday and it wasn't crowded - we actually thought it was the perfect weather for the scenery and there were many options for shelter. If you want to go on a boat tour, don't hesitate booking, as they fill up very quickly.
Arundel Castle is one of the most stunning and large castles in England and it's home to the Duke of Norfolk. This place is incredible, and visitors can explore its many rooms and balconies. There are also some interesting gardens nearby, as well as jousting events that can be enjoyed.
Amazing Castle situated in the beautiful South downs, West Sussex. The castle itself has had a lot of work to keep it looking so good. The Gothic style is said to be one of the best ever designed. The grounds are just as impressive with beautiful gardens maintained to a high standard. We went on the medieval weekend where there were crafts and stalls to look around. There were activities available for the public like axe throwing and archery. They also had the amazing tulip display that really set the scene for the day. Brilliant!

Beautiful place to visit... a must see... there is a lot see and would recommend to get there early so you can see the whole castle and gardens and appreciate its history, architecture and all its glory.... unfortunately I entered the place at around 1:30pm and just managed to only see the inside of the castle and missed the main gardens.. (it closes at 5pm) the website said you may take 2 hrs but that's not enough time.. more like 4 hrs easily. Prices are a bit expensive but worth it. Staff are kind and helpful. Ready to help and explain the history of the castle and all other related history. Parking seem to be free on the road just outside the castle but i parked in the car park opposite for approx. £3.40 for 4 hrs. I would have given a 5 star rating but prices are high and the website mislead me to think that i could see the whole castle and surroundings in 2 hrs. Children pay £10 and a adult £25!!! Ouch!

We were in awe of this castle and grounds!
It seems expensive, but the price is well worth it!
We did the castle, rooms and gardens, which took 4 hours at a leisurely pace and including 2 coffee breaks.
We could’ve easily spent longer but we had an afternoon tea booked elsewhere.
The staff were very knowledgeable, telling you little snippets of history and answered any questions we had.
A few tricky/narrow stairways, but worth it for the views.
The shop and cafe was good, cafe a little pricey, but to be expected in a tourist attraction.
The gardens were stunning! And we almost skipped it!
Just a heads up, the entrance is at the bottom of the hill, lol, we made this mistake and walked to the top 🙈

Great castle, great views. I was very surprised, it looks like it was built last year, it's in such good condition. Lots to see on the inside, the staff are lovely. Gardens are very symmetrical so it seems all the same, but very nice nonetheless. Beautiful cathedral, nice facilities. I was a bit taken aback by the price, it cost us £50 just for my partner and I to go into the castle. It was the most expensive castle we have ever visited! But I would pay that any day to see the look on my partner's face, he loved all the architecture and woodwork. £2.50 for up to 4 hours in the car park on Mill Rd, pretty good rate. The staff knew the answers to most of the questions we had, and were quite lovely and friendly. The town itself has some nice antique stores as well.

Wow what a wonderful place, We did not expect it to be so good. Massive turreted towers and a large circular keep to wander around. (steep and narrow steps in places). The castle rooms were incredible, with the great hall and the library being ours and most peoples favourites. The Italian style gardens with the fountains and oak rose arbours and other wood carvings were amazing. Staff were extremely informative and helpful. Probably one of the most splendid castles in the UK, located in a delightful picturesque town. Despite not being as famous as Windsor Castle, which is a shame, I consider it to be one of the most well-preserved and truly stunning medieval treasures, surrounded be a breath- taking Tudor rose garden.

What a lovely day out ,we visited a few years ago but went because of the tulip festival, and we were not disappointed .
We went to the keep first before too many people arrived and the views from the top were well worth the climb.
We also paid extra to see the bedrooms, which we felt were worth it.After looking around the castle, it was then a look around the grounds.
The coffee shop inside the cafe had very little sitting room ,and maybe they should open the main cafe earlier.
It was a great day out, but make sure you have plenty of time to fully take things in and then just sit and relax

Probably the best castle I saw so far in UK.
If you go there my suggestion is to arrive early because the car park in front to the castle is always busy (there are a lot of visitors)
The tickets are a but expensive (you can have 3 type of visit (castle, castle and gardens or castle, bedroom and garden) I suggest the last option.
You can spend the at least 5 hours there.
Customer service is great.
Garden is full of flowers, with a pond
Castle is amazing a lot of history and beautiful pictures to see.

The Arundel Cathedral of Our Lady & St Philip Howard is a stunning example of French-Gothic style architecture, adorned with intricate stained-glass rose windows. Constructed in 1873 and situated high above the market town, it is an impressive sight both from afar and up close. The cathedral is well maintained and has clean facilities, but parking may be challenging during busy times. During the Lenten season, all statues within are draped in purple fabric.
In my view, this is one of the most breathtaking Cathedrals from the inside and outside. We went today and noticed that all statures have been wrapped up in purple fabric for the Lenten season.

Enjoyed a leisurely stroll through the town accompanied by a coffee and cake. Then a brisk walk along the Riverside admiring the ancient castle and then on to St Nicolas parish church.
David Bolton — Google review
This is one impressive cathedral that stands high on the hill and can be seen from practically everywhere in town. With this at one end and the castle at the other both buildings really make Arundel stand out.
What's also impressive is that the cathedral is only around 150 years old as it's quite mediaeval in style. Outside you have gargoyles and buttresses while inside the nave soars and beautiful stained glass windows let in wonderfully mediated light.
If you're in the vicinity the cathedral is an impressive building to visit and a place of some calm. The town itself is hardly a rat-race but inside the cathedral even that low-key mania diminishes to peacefulness.

A beautiful cathedral church built at the end of the 19th century for the newly created Catholic diocese of Arundel. The church, designed in the gothic style, is magnificent while being austere at the same time. Recommend a visit during performances/rehearsals of the famed choir

Stunning looking cathedral. We were just passing by, visiting the beautiful town of Arundel. The outside actually reminded us of one of the buildings in a Harry Potter film. Inside was equally as beautiful. We wished to go to one of the morning mass on Tuesday at 9 am. But unfortunately we were there at lunchtime. The place was empty and very peaceful. Ambient music was playing and there was a cathedral shop to buy souvenirs or further information about the building. Looking forward to returning to admire the beauty of the place again

Visited on Wednesday noticed that there was a mass on for Thursday so we returned.
Not that well attended around a dozen people mostly ladies it was held in the Sacristy.
We stayed in the area and returned on Sunday morning
They have a wonderful choir who were practicing after mass on Sunday so we stayed a bit longer to listen to them
The Cathedral has wonderful acoustics
If in the area it's a wonderful place to visit and definitely pop in to the shop
I must also mention the Web screen it's well worth spending time viewing it

Beautiful cathedral. Location is pretty awesome as well, on top of the hill. Gift shop near the back. Active catholic cathedral, so check mass times to ensure your visit doesn't interrupt or you could attend. Stained glass is quite impressive. The stations of the cross are inlaid into the wall, looks very nice.

One of the most beautiful interiors I've seen. It was built specifically for the Duke hence provided a canopy for the nobel carriage so the noble sunshine wouldn't get damp. To satisfy the noble ego and build a tall spire did not allow the chalky soils, one had to be content with a short one from the side of the facade, look a little bit out of tune there. Inside is clean, spacious and luminous.

You don't need to buy tickets to go in, but you can make a donation. There were no queues. Just beware of rude/ill-mannered people/visitors!
I don't know why, but when I go to churches or cathedrals (I'm not religious, I just love architectures, especially old buildings) I get a sense of peace. I can't explain the feeling, but it's comforting.
Tinwood Estate is a luxurious property located just a few meters away from South Downs National Park. The estate boasts of upscale lodges that feature modern amenities such as rainfall showers, whirlpool tubs and wine fridges. It also has its own vineyard where they produce some of the tastiest English sparkling wines in the region. Visitors can spend a day trying out their wines or stay overnight in one of the cabins overlooking the grape vines.
My girlfriend and I wanted a getaway form the busy city and this was a great find and perfect retreat. Service was first class, breakfast hamper was a classy touch and the environment was just fantastic. We had a wine tasting experience with Gerogia, who made us feel welcome and even helped us with recommendations for food in the local area. Her knowledge of the the Tinwood wines and processes was incredible, we found it very informative. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway or even just for the great tasting wine! Credit to all at Tinwood and thanks for making our stay a pleasurable one.

Went here for our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time. Really interesting to learn about how the wine is made. The lodge was perfect. We loved the spa bath with the TV. And the sauna was an extra special touch. Tasty breakfast of yoghurt, fruit, muesli, croissants, toast, hard boiled eggs, and orange juice. A perfect way to celebrate.

I had a voucher given me so I booked in on a Friday afternoon which turned out to be a fantastic day.
It started off with a short tour of the vines which was really interesting. The lady doing the tour was really informative and friendly and answered all my questions.
We then moved to the tasting but before that I brought nibbles and food to go with the tasting.
The tasting was very informative and helped me understand the different wines I tried.
The food was fantastic and I will be going back to just eat the food and drink the wine on that amazing patio.
Highly recommended.
Update
We did go back the following day which was the hottest day of the year so far and it was very busy however it did not effect the fabulous service.
We also purchased 3 bottles to take home with us.

Thank you Holly for an informative yet relaxed tour of the vineyard. You are an asset to the team. You kept us all interested as we tasted 3 wines and you talked us through the wine making process. The surroundings were beautiful & comfortable & my friends & I enjoyed a bottle of wine under the patio heated veranda. Highly recommend

What an amazing place. Beautiful location and a stunning avenue. I've been many times and each year I see something different. The wine is outstanding. I highly recommend the tour, its so interesting.

An absolutely brilliant presentation by Jodie. I learnt so much more about wines and setting up a vineyard; it was fascinating and the three bubbles we tasted were superb. I thoroughly recommend this tour, worth every penny, so informative and a wonderfully relaxing two hours in idyllic surroundings. I took two friends from California there, they know their wines and have visited numerous vineyards across France, they both said they had never ever experienced such a superb all encompassing presentation. Worth ten stars! We all had a great time.

Went for a wine tasting here. Absolutely perfect place, wine was incredible. The owner who did the tour was absolutely brilliant and very knowledgeable.
The foot situation was a bit chaotic but it was new to them, but still that was the only frustration with otherwise a perfect day.

Wine tasting was really fun, rose our favourite.
We had an incredible lunch, brilliant selection but it is on the high side in terms of price given it is self service. We couldn’t fault anyone or the service or the venue. We would rate it 4.5 if we could on here.
I wouldn’t bring my 6 year old daughter but would go again with my partner when we had time to enjoy the experience.

I received a voucher for the vineyard tour as a present.
The location is stunning with distance views. The decking area and food area very clean. The tour information from the owner was informative, with humour thrown in. I felt I learnt a lot. It was then tasting time on 3 of their sparkling wines. What can I say, they were amazing!. I would definitely recommend to others

Lovely site and very well organised tour. Our guide was first class both knowledgeable and entertaining. The three wines we tasted were excellent and the cheese board a perfect accompaniment. Very well worth the price and we just had to buy some bottles to take home.

Lovely venue, with a beautiful terrace boasting a stunning view. Great architecture as well. The wine is fantastic, using the traditional champagne method. Did the wine tour and that was excellent, with a very charismatic host and a glass of each of the three wines provided. Has nice food (of a light bite typology), including vegan options.

Luxury lodges are fantastic within metres of the vines. The ready to drink bubbles in the fridge taste wonderful, and the barrel sauna is a real treat. The vineyard also has a kitchen severing tapas and cheese boards. In the morning a breakfast was delivered at 9am, which made for a relaxing start to the day.
Well done Tinwood! And thank you for a perfect stay.

Love stopping off here after a dog walk.
Made to feel very welcome even though dressed in walking gear!
Beautiful views over the vineyard, lovely seating areas.
Good choice for all from the cafe - you can choose as much or as little as you want. Not the cheapest but a nice treat . A glass of bubbles is a must!

The Tinwood wine tasting was wonderful. A tour of the vineyard by a lovely lady called Holly, who was both knowledgeable and charismatic. The food was delicious and complemented the wine tasting perfectly. All in all a great afternoon out; would definitely recommend.

A group of us had a Sunday roast lunch there and the food was great; a nice experience. Our only complaint was that there were 2 dogs roaming around the restaurant and under tables. We don’t mind dogs but definitely not during dining. I had dog hair on my black trousers.

Superb. Hard to do justice here. Rocking up FREE parking. Met by lovely staff explaining the running order. The food choice is wide based in a tapas style. I reckon £25/ head. Really high quality offerings from cheese, salads, to pecorenos to humous, satay, and fish. Beautifully presented. Thankyou Chef and team. The ambience immediately relaxed me and was happy to bask in the sun and watch the vines grow. Sampling taste time. Like angels dancing on our tongue. Just go.

Oh my goodness, where do I start! This was just wow after wow after wow.
Very welcoming when I arrived. Table set up great, and the views are stunning.
I had a glass of Tinwood Rosé, my friend had Tinwood Blanc de Blancs - what a fantastic start. Breads and dips with this- delicious-
Then to the roasts- OMG THE SHARING PLATTER! Amazing presentation, choice of meats and all the trimmings, yummy gravy. Vegetables were cooked perfectly. A bottle of Chenin Blanc was enjoyed throughout.
Puddings were also a sharing platter- a delicious combo of all the puds- crumble, Icecream, brownie and pavlova. With cream and choc sauce and custard!
The chef did a brilliant job, everything which came out was jaw droppingly good!
Service throughout was personable, friendly, professional- nothing was too much trouble. Thank you to Art, Vlada and all the staff- you deserve the highest praise!

A perfect getaway for a couple 💞
We had the most perfect overnight stay in one of the Tinwood Estate lodges recently and I cannot recommend more highly. We had a late check-in at 7pm, but there was still a member of staff (Vlada) on-site to welcome us and provide a quick tour and answer any questions that we had. The lodges are like a tardis and very spacious indeed and have everything you need for a relaxing night away. A very big and comfortable bed; jacuzzi bath; HUGE shower; double basins; hairdryer; TV; Fridge (stocked with some delicious Tinwood fizz and wine); a sofa; dining table and chairs; and a decking area with seating and cushions with a view out to the vines. In the morning at 9am, a delicious and generous breakfast hamper was discreetly delivered and we even had enough time before checking out to avail ourselves of the barrel sauna. Absolute bliss. Couldn't fault the facilities, the service or the price. We want to live there! Is this possible?? :)

The last few times I had been a platter of cheeses, crackers, honey and grapes. Upon arriving today we were told we had to select what we wanted in a crate which my mother in law struggled to carry. Their was hardly any hot food and the wasn't a choice of cheeses in the mixed slithers. More crackers should also be available. The staff and boss lady were very friendly and I loved the fact as a none drinker they gave me a trio of mocktails which were delicious. My family enjoyed the wine and talk. And on the whole we had a lovely afternoon.

Five of us came today for the Sunday Roast. The welcome was very good and we had a choice of tables, the room was quite chilly but once it filled up it was ok. We had our drinks order taken and the drinks arrived quickly. We waited a little while and we were asked if we were ready for our food. It arrived on a sharing board and there was plenty of meat but not enough vegetables for 5 of us and it was lukewarm and observing other tables they had the same amount of vegetables for two people as we had for 5! We asked for extra hot vegetables and extra gravy which were brought out.
Deserts were also sharing and again small amounts for five so a spoonful of crumble each and a small square of brownie.
It all tasted good but it really needs to be hot when it comes out some of the vegetables were cold and the Yorkshire puddings were cold!
We had really high hopes for this lunch but it definitely fell very short of our expectations. Would not recommend to our friends unfortunately 🙁.
The Tangmere Military & Aviation Museum is a remarkable site that showcases an impressive array of aircraft and historic relics. The museum's volunteers are amiable, passionate and well-informed about the different planes exhibited. They add an extra layer of interest to the visit by sharing their personal experiences flying some of these aircraft. One can enjoy delicious coffee, cakes, sandwiches and hot meals in the bright cafe on-site or the covered terrace separately from the museum.
The museum is well laid out with lots of exhibits as well as good descriptions and information about them. I found the crashed Hurricane that had been recovered from Hove very moving. There are plenty of interactive exhibits to try. There is so much information to read you really need to visit more than once to fully take everything in.

Absolutely amazing day out! Volunteers go above and beyond to assist you in every need possible. There are multiple simulators there and cockpits you can sit in. All volunteers were highly equipped with great knowledge and eager to pass it on. The museum was highly informative and interactive and the exhibition was great. The cockpit cafe was good as well! The gift shop has a lot of selection and well priced. I highly recommend this place to anyone considering it⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

An excellent aviation museum, extremely professionally run by volunteers. It's open most days during it's opening season but it closes during the winter. For a small museum it has a good selection of aircraft including many unique aircraft such as two record breakers. Aircraft are split between hangers and outdoors. On top of this there are lots of interesting exhibits and displays including some unique items such as the "anatomy of a bombing raid" exhibit which is a must see. Another big highlight is the Lightning flight simulator, this is a must do if it's open.
It also has it's own café. All the volunteer staff are very friendly, enthusiastic and helpful. It's a must visit museum for any aviation enthusiasts.

We as a family with 2 kids had the best experience at the museum. It is very interactive for kids with flight and air battle simulations. There are several displays with buttons to be pressed in order to how things used to work. Besides, for whom is from southern area, it great to get more familiar with the squadron 43 story, which is very interesting.

I've been coming to the Tangmere military aviation museum since the Eighties, when it was just a shack, a Hawker Hunter and a Lockheed Shooting Star. There were a lot of old RAF-pilots around, back then, so I did hear the war stories from them personally.
Now, they're gone and the museum has grown. They've added some displays outside (an F-4, a Vixen, two Harriers, a Folland Gnat and a Westland Wessex) and quite some more inside. There's the "old" section, with display panels, dioramas and stuff recovered from Luftwaffe wreckage, but we now also have a larger hall with aircraft: a replica of the Spitfire-prototype, a Hunter, a Hurricane, a Meteor, a Canberra cockpit and (super nice!) and accessible Hunter and Spitfire cockpit.
This is always a fantastic place to come. The guides like to be here, that's obvious, and there's many unexpected little corners. I was here a long time ago and now, I can show my own son around.
Tip: entry is cheap, but food is not. Personally, I would bring sandwiches and donate what money you expected to spend on those, directly to the museum.

This aviation museum is a real gem! A good collection of aircraft and a huge selection of historical artifacts. The volunteers are friendly, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable and really make the visit special. Many of them have personal experience of flying some of the more recent aircraft. The cafe can be visited separately from the museum and serves great coffee, cakes, sandwiches and hot food. Allow a few hours for your visit.

I had never heard of this place until I seen the advert on the back of a bus. It's a small museum but every inch is full of interesting artefacts and its not a bad price to get in either compared to some places. The crashed plane that has all the damaged pieces placed back where they would have been is an eye opener and its amazing to see what they were made of.
The staff were all very friendly and even tho they were volunteers you could tell that they loved being there. They were very knowledgeable and were happy to answer any questions we had. We are a group of bikers and they didn't treat us any differently which is refreshing.
The cafe was lovely and the prices were affordable. There was a good range of food and it was great quality. The bread looked delicious. It wasn't slow in serving us and they had tables inside and out. The coffee was good too.
Overall we had a great day out and we will deffo go back again. We'll worth a visit.

Great museum! I have been to a few aircraft museums where the exhibits look tired, but full marks to everyone for the quality of the aircraft and exhibits.
In addition to the aircraft there is a large range of reaaly interesting other exhibits from various era's. The volunteers are very friendly.
And finally was even able to get a vegan cupcake from the cafe!

Lots of info on the battle for Britain with Tangmere's roll as a main squadron hub for the south coast. Many personal artifacts from past pilots upto when it was closed as a RAF base.
Aircraft from the 40 to 60's on display.
There is a little cafe inside which is nice after walking around the display cabinets. Some with interactive controls.
Unless you have a wide angle lens, it is difficult to get an aircraft inside in full view.

A hidden gem. We didn't know the museum existed until browsing Google maps for things to do in the Chichester area.
It was a lovely Saturday morning visit with great plane exhibits, hands on simulators for the kids (and adults) and lots of informative and interesting displays. The teddy bear hunt captivated our youngest two.
It was fairly quiet when we were there (I have no idea if that is normally the case) so it felt a little OTT with the number of staff members around, however they were all very friendly and helpful.
The cafe offered a good range of drinks and food too.

I went there when my dad hadn’t told me that there was an EE lightening. We met a wonderful man - Trevor - who explained lots about a wreckage of a hawker hurricane and its story. He then told us about his life and how he was a pilot in the RAF and flew EE lightenings and was deployed to Singapore and Saudi Arabia to train pilots and after his 10 year career in the RAF , his career as a pilot for Cathay Pacific Airlines where he flew Boeing 747s and told us about the famous Hong Kong descent. He let me see the inside of the EE lightening cockpit and helped me with the flight sim of the EE lightening. He explained lots about the EE lightening and helped lots. He gave so much of his time to us. He was very kind and I respect him very highly. Trevor , if you are reading this , I’m using my mums account because mine isn’t set up properly. You have made me want to be a RAF fighter pilot even more!Thank you very much for your time , thank you for your service and take care.

Well there is so much to see here its amazing. The attached picture was the most bonkers thing I've seen in ages...! We've been to plenty of these aviation museums and there's always something new to see at each one. The staff here are all ex-pilots or aviation enthusiasts by all accounts, as well and are a wealth of knowledge. Odds Farm Park is a child-friendly attraction that offers animal petting and feeding, as well as exciting activities such as karting and crazy golf. It has an excellent gift shop and play area with a remarkable wooden playground, including a boat that the kids love. The park also features a large sand pit complete with diggers, although visitors wish there were more animals to see such as alpacas, lizards, Meerkats or snakes.
Amazing gift shop and play area. The wooden playground is amazing. Especially the boat! My kids loved the huge sand pit with diggers in. I just wished there were a few more animals to see. None were outside, but maybe that was due to it being cold. It would be nice if they had a few others, maybe alpacas, lizards, Meerkats, snakes. Many other farms like this do we have visited lately.
It also lacked a tractor ride, which my 2-year-old was asking for. Friendly staff. It looked nice and clean.

We visited for my daughter’s 2nd birthday and she had a great time. Not all animals were there which was disappointing as we weren’t informed of this on the website before booking - we found out when there that the lambs weren’t there for the feeding experience which I was hoping to do with my daughter. Parking was easy to find as we went on a weekday therefore, I can’t comment on parking on the weekend yet. The cafe was a nice place to have a break and they had good food options. Staff were friendly. The play area was great, my daughter had an amazing time. She was running around the whole time until she tired herself out (bonus for us as she slept as soon as we got to the car). Overall we had a lovely time and I gave 4 stars simply for not being informed of things missing before we visited. Would recommend and would visit again.

Had my daughters 6th birthday here today with around 35 guests in total. Staff were very helpful and friendly and service was second to none - in particular one of the staff, Molly helped us with explemlary courtesy and made a good day, great.
There is so much here for children of all ages to do that you can spend the entire day here letting them enjoy the fabulous soft play area, feeding the animals (although be warned, some of the pigs really stink!) and lots of other indoor and outdoor activities. Parking is free and the site is easy to access.
If I had to nit-pick for constructive criticism I would say that although the entrance fee more than justifies the amenities available, the food is a bit overpriced with a half litre bottle of Coke costing £3, chips at £4, tractor shaped cookie at £5 etc but other than the price of food it represents fantastic value for money and definitely worth a visit!

We love it here. There is so much safe space for the kids to run around, and an excellent selection of things to do. The softplay is brilliant fun, with thrilling slides and lots of climbing areas + a dedicated under 5s areas so they're not squashed by the older children. The animal barn is great fun. We love feeding the sheep and goats. And my little one loves all the outdoor play areas, especially the big tractors and sandpit playground. We've been 3 times now and only just scratched the surface, there's so much to do!
Sharon Spencer — Google review
I always judge the place by it's toilets - took only a couple of pics of toilets just outside the barn as it wasn't a pleasant experience anyway.
Apart from those not-so-appealing toilets, the place is good for toddlers and babies alike, perhaps up to 6-7 yo. My kids are closer to 10 yo mark and they were bored - mini rovers are slow and way too expensive for a lap /2 laps for what it is; go-karts were is appauling state, 2 were not working at all; mini gold costs £3.50 per ball 🫣 - a rip off.
Food is tasty but the kids portions are small so add £2 or so and get an adult version.
For family of 3 (1+2) I spent on tickets alone incl.mini rovers £64 - not worth it for us anymore.

We visited for the Halloween/pumpkin picking events. The venue, as always, was lovely. Lots of outdoor space, including play equipment suitable for a variety of ages. Be prepared to get dirty in the sand area when it's wetter weather. And of course, it'll be muddy. It's a farm. The piglets were popular with my son as was the "castle" play area and the ride on jeeps (he's 3 but wouldn't have been able to drive, an adult helped). Pumpkin picking was fun with lots of opportune photo moments, the pumpkins were a bit overpriced in my opinion, but we enjoyed the experience. We didn't have time to go in the barn on this visit but have enjoyed it previously. And we've never actually made it into the soft play as the kids have been happy outdoors.

This hotel offers luxurious accommodations and a spa on an expansive estate. The gardens are stunning, and the location is perfect for exploring other nearby attractions such as Windsor Castle or Ascot Racecourse.
Well I posted a review already but turns out it was Cliveden the hotel I think. Anyway I will be brief. Great property for walking with he family. As long as no one is in a pram as the routes aren't pram friendly really. Lovely plants and great views. Lots to do and see. Food is great and national trust priced. Love coming here in the spring and summer to see all the gardens have to offer. Lovely staff and big car park though gets very busy so make sure you get their when it opens.

Above the average National Trust state. Start with the Maze, it's definitely not easy but kids will find the way out. Garden walk is beautiful and quite easy. Playground in the area has so many detailed woodwork and toilet. Also plenty of tables for picnic.
If you enjoy a good walk and you're not scare of steps follow the river walk around. It's not only a great exercise but so fun for the little ones.
We enjoyed 4 hours outdoors and we didn't have the chance to go inside the house

Beautiful gardens.
Ponds are getting a refurb at the moment, so we'll visit those again once the works are complete.
Love the clock tower at the house.
Nice cafe in the conservatory.
Loads of picnic tables.
Fabulous kids play area.
Look forward to visiting again in the summer (we decided we'd like to see it in all the seasons).

One of the best houses we’ve visited since having our National Trust Memberships. The grounds are huge and we spent hours exploring different areas. Walked alongside the river which was lovely and then stopped for a coffee before heading back up to the main house, exploring the gardens and maze which was a lot of fun and quite tricky:) Great day out and one we will visit again.

I had the pleasure of visiting Cliveden National Trust, and it truly exceeded my expectations. This place is nothing short of fantastic and beautiful. The sheer size of the estate, with its expansive forests, serene lakes, and stunning historical buildings, left me in awe.
Exploring Cliveden is like stepping into a different world filled with natural wonders and rich history. It's so vast that you'll need more than just a day to see everything it has to offer. Be prepared for a lot of walking, but trust me, every step is worth it.
Whether you're a history enthusiast, a nature lover, or simply looking for a peaceful escape, Cliveden National Trust has something for everyone. It's a journey that you won't forget, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable experience.

Another beautiful National Trust property. Free entrance if you are NT member. When we visited the place weather was not great so we did not explore the gardens. Definitely we will be back.
Piotr Kwiecien — Google review
This review is for the grounds and not the hotel.
I liked it, but it's by far not my favourite NT property to visit. The architecture is brash...the clock tower gaudy...and the place was very busy (so obviously lots of people DO like it). The best bits are the views and the daffodils. Worth a visit but I'm not sure I would be back, even in a different season (unlike Greys Court and Scotney Castle, for example)

Absolutely gorgeous state! Grab some comfy shoes to be able to enjoy all its beauty and extension.
The are different gardens (and all are delightful!), boats by the river, shops and lovely spots for picnic. Being late May, we got to see lots of late spring blooms but definitely returning in autumn, or all other seasons.

Lovely Thameside hunting lodge. The house, now a hotel was built in 1666 by the 2nd duke of Buckingham as a gift to his mistress and was the scene of lavish parties. Now it is the 376 acres of wonderful garden including the famed parterre and a boxwood decorative garden that form much of the interest at the House. These range from woodland walks to drives and fountains both large and small. A particular highlight is a mossy cascade of carved turtles and lion heads. However perhaps the most impressive walk descends from the garden to the banks of the River Thames itself which you can walk passing a wonderful boathouse. The views from the parterre are as you might expect stunning across the surrounding valleys. It is however a pity that the house now a hotel is relatively, though not entirely inaccessible. There is a restaurant on site and toilets.

An unusual National Trust property, being an active country house and spa. We didn't go in the house, but started out with the tricky before exploring the more formal grounds and then enjoying a beautiful walk by the river, with the unusual soundtrack of ring-necked parakeets (an alien bird species to the UK that's settling). We visited the sounding room, and sang in it. Would love to do that again - the acoustics were incredible. We also visited the family chapel which was a mind-blowing display of wealth (£82m in today's money), and incredibly beautiful. Awe-inspiring. Understandably no photos were allowed in there. We saw a fair bit of the estate, but there's clearly much more to see. We look forward to returning.

An awe inspiring mansion house. With its impeccable manicured gardens along with incredible views we had a short 3hr walk along the riverside and through the wooded grounds. And we only saw half of what it had to offer. A must see if you enjoy grand homes and nice walks.

Stunning National Trust spot with a lovely playground and an excellent woodland trail for the kids. As usual with National Trust spots, impeccably well kept. Loads of walks for both adults and little ones alike. My three sons loved it.

Gorgeous site with something for the whole family. Staff and volunteers were exceptional. We visited twice in one week; we walked the grounds near the estate on our first visit (with our dog on a short lead), and explored the woodlands on the second (with our dog off lead). It feels as though there is something for everyone on this sprawling, gorgeous site. The cafe by Cliveden House is delightful. For longer walks in the woodlands, pack your own tea/coffee in a flask.

£17 entry for admission unless you’re a national trust member but it’s worth it in my opinion! Lovely grounds, lots of nature to see and areas to explore! Time flew on my first trip yesterday and we only covered a small portion of the area before having a picnic on a bench by the river, joined by some very talkative ducks 🦆 they ate food from our hands 😊 (grains not bread dw) will definitely be going again at some point. Oh and all the staff are very lovely 👍🏾 great recommendation from my dad who has been a trust member for years!

Cliveden National Trust is the most peaceful place I know. You can walk for hours through the well kept woods, sit by the Thames or in one of the immaculately kept gardens. If you fancy a fitness challenge take the 172 steps from the river to the main house parterre! Worth every penny of my NT membership. Highly recommended.

First property we visited after taking out a yearly National Trust subscription. We mainly visited the gardens and spent time relaxing on a picnic mat. The place is beautiful. Plenty of parking. We didn't get the chance to see the restaurant and the house. There is a cafe as well for your tea or coffee break.

Our favourite National Trust so far! What a beautiful gem this is. Between the grand manor in the middle, the parterre below, the closed gardens and the woodlands there plenty for everyone to experience and not feel bothered about other people.

Great visit. You can see why the Royals adored this place so much.
Park at the Woodlands car park and walk down to the Thames first before ascending the stairs to Cliveden house. Amazing viewpoints.
Ps- ~30£ for a carload if you’re not a member

Cliveden is a wonderful national trust property. Huge gardens surrounding a very large country house. Being Easter Sunday they did an excellent egg hunt with clues for children and adults alike.
We were there about 3 hours and only covered about a tenth of the estate. We had a great day out and will return soon to explore further.
Highly recommended.

Beautiful estate with amazing view to the Thames river. Nice for a dog walking. Unfortunately you can't Go inside the house because it is a hotel now.

Visited on the first Sunday of November. Good time to enjoy autumn colours. Only gardens were open for visit. They were not too crowded. One could easily spend 3-4 hours to walk around. There is a nice NT cafe and several picnic tables in the forest, together with a fancy hotel restaurant. Gardens have several play area for kids and dogs are also welcome.
House and chapel can be visited only from March to October on special days as the house is used as a hotel. There were 2 history talks available on the day at 11:30 and 13:00 outside the house.

First time visiting the house and gardens, however the house, water garden, and chapel wasn't open. Very disappointed in this regard as we paid to go into the house which was closed due to the house being a hotel.
But... The gardens were magnificent, stunning walks in woodlands and the long garden was just beautiful. This more than made up for not seeing the house.

Christ Church Meadow is a large and tranquil park located opposite Christ Church College. The garden features green grass and shady seats, with the river flowing gently by. It is a popular spot for locals to relax on hot days, and it is also great for walking or running in the morning or evening.
Beautiful Park, quiet and a great atmosphere. Architecture is stunning and this is where a lot of Harry Potter was filmed. Nice shop with facilities, friendly staff, prices reasonable. Well worth a visit, sit under a tree, have a drink and something to eat, then you are ready to hit the mean streets of Oxford for a full on weekend👏🏆🌻🌳🍃☀️🍸🍻🥂🍹

Christ Church Meadow is a beautiful area located in Oxford, England. It is a large, picturesque expanse of greenery that stretches alongside the River Thames, offering stunning views of the city's historic skyline. One of the unique features of this meadow is the presence of grazing cows.
The tradition of having cows in Christ Church Meadow dates back centuries and is still maintained today. The cows are typically Oxford-bred Longhorn cattle, known for their distinctive long and curved horns. These cattle are carefully managed and play a crucial role in maintaining the meadow's ecosystem through grazing, which helps preserve the diverse plant life.
The sight of cows peacefully grazing amidst the scenic backdrop of the university buildings creates a serene and idyllic setting, making Christ Church Meadow a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks or have picnics while admiring the harmonious coexistence of nature and history within this iconic Oxford location.

I'll never travel to Oxford without this trip planner again
The Bodleian Library is a massive and ancient institution that houses over 11 million books. This impressive library is located in one of Oxford's most beautiful and historic squares. Tours are available to show off some of the library's hidden treasures, such as its legal deposit status.
Breathtaking, stunning buildings. Beautiful ambience and vibe.
£8.75 for family of four to see the divinity school. Kids should be free seeing as they don't really understand, parents have no choice but to take them in with them, therefore we have to pay for them only for them to sit there.

📖A Must-See in Oxford - Especially for Bibliophiles📖
While it's free to tour the outside grounds (and they're stunning as-is), it costs only a small sum to have a brief, guided tour of the interior of the Bodleian Library. Our tour guide was awesome, making the experience personable, fun, and interesting throughout.
The inside of the School of Divinity can't be captured properly with pictures. Numerous architects have their handiwork on display, and the details, miniature figures, and family crests can be savored for a long while (my personal favorite being Mary and baby Jesus reading a book together). Several films used this location as a backdrop, such as the Harry Potter movies, so fans of cinema will enjoy the tour as much as history buffs.
Certain locations during the tour do not allow for photography (such as the inside of the library), so be respectful and mindful about those cues from your guide. I purchased my tickets the day-of at the entrance and did not have to wait long for my tour to begin. It's well-worth the experience and makes a great addition to a day spent in Oxford.

The Bodleian Library in Oxford is a stunning and historic hub of knowledge, perfect for book lovers and history buffs. It’s one of the oldest libraries in Europe, with origins dating back to the 14th century and is also one of the largest libraries in the United Kingdom. Its grand architecture and vast collection make it a must-see attraction for visitors to Oxford.

Went to the Radcliffe Camera to the Solidarity with Ukraine demonstration. Maybe 500 people there, many Ukrainians, Russians, Poles, Georgians, Czechs... all opposed to Putin's aggression against the Ukraine. Messages from the city's MPs, Layla Moran and Annaleise Dodds. Moving speeches from those with family in the Ukraine.

One of the world’s great libraries. It’s worth booking a guided tour weeks in advance to see the Duke Humfrey’s Library. The guides are excellent. The gift shop is also very good. The Radcliffe Camera next door forms part of the library and is a landmark building too (it houses the history faculty library), however it isn’t open to visitors.

I am delighted to have booked the 60-minute guided tour to visit the Bodleian Library. Thanks to our enthusiastic and brilliant guide, Jessica, who provided us with a thorough and articulate explanation. Highly recommend joining the guided tour and reserving a spot in advance through the official website.

We had a great tour today with our tour guide Carmen. She gave us a lot of interesting information in a very friendly and considerate way. The group was small and we received an amplifier which made the tour so much more relaxing. The library itself was stunning and a must see for everyone who enjoys (old) libraries and Harry Potter filming scenes. Make sure to pre-book your tickets online. Otherwise it might be sold out.
4/5 because the ticket is quite pricey with 15 GBP.

Wonderful place full of amazing history. The website stated that all tours were sold out, but you can buy them on the day. The advice we received was that tickets are sold out by 1130hrs, so do it early. The guide was very knowledgeable and easy to follow. We had 14 in our group. They give you a headset to amplify his voice, so it is easy to hear him, even though the guide was quiet in the library. Photos are allowed. There are three lengths of tours, we went for the hour, and it didn't disappoint.

Historic, famous, 400 yr old library. Beautiful and definitely worth seeing when in Oxford. Unfortunately we couldn't go inside this time (wasn't open to the public when i went), but do go inside if you get the chance. Simply amazing structure and contents! Has been in many movies, i believe.

You can go in because it's for students only right now (😭) but it looks cool and apparently there are over 1 million books in the multiple buildings. The architecture is also really fascinating because you wonder " how on earth did they build this 500 years ago". Anyways this is a cool thing to see.

Lovely place of course, and important. Named for its founder this is one of the oldest libraries in Europe founded in 1602. It is today one of the largest, or in fact 2nd largest library in Britain. The location deep in historic Oxford is easy to access and the architecture is both beautiful and iconic. There is generally a place around the circular building to photograph the site without having to perk through crowds. It is a working library, one of many in Oxford, and this is worth remembering if you want to go inside. There are library tours available but I do not use them. A superb, important and iconic building that is worth visiting, if nothing else, just for the sense of history. When running fully, this site is well served by buses or it is very easy to walk or cycle to.
Christ Church is Oxford's largest and most prestigious college, with a proud history dating back to the 1525 founding of Cardinal Wolsey. The college is home to many famous alumni, including Lewis Carroll and Harry Potter. Christ Church's ornate main quadrangle and impressive dining hall are some of the main attractions for tourists visiting the college.
The most famous college in Oxford, inspiring works such as Harry Potter and Alica in Wonderland.
Booking ahead is required, as day tickets tend to be sold quickly. Prices are a bit steep (15£ for a student ticket) but its a very nice experience, and it also includes a visit to the cathedral on the same grounds.
Most of the times it is quite crowded, so would opt for earliest tickets, or evening. Especially if you want to get nice pics.

A very nice experience to the scenes of Harry Potter the movie. The place is huge and impressive.
Bought a ticket and a headset is provided for self guided tour.
Not sure if the Hall got lunch time closure. Coz we were informed by the nice guard that the Hall was opened at about 13:30. It was amazing to see the cafeteria of Harry Potter.

The grounds are also very beautiful and you must take time to walk around the college.

Located in the heart of the city, Christ Church is conveniently close to museums, shops and restaurants. What a magical experience from the grandeur of the Harry Potter setting of the Grand Hall to the majestic stained glass windows , ceiling detail and font.

Christ Church College is definitely one of the must-visit landmarks in Oxford and not only for fans of Harry Potter.
The admission needs go be reserved online in advance and the availability is pretty limited. The dining hall is currently in use so it would be closed during lunch time.
It's famous for the movie scenes in Harry Potter series for its dining hall and center field. We were impressed by how brilliant & magnificent the church is and we enjoyed the view very much.

Why do I have to buy tickets online?
We were there in person with cash and card and they wouldn't let us buy a ticket. Real jobs worth in the gift shop.
Have to go outside and mess around with their website to buy a ticket with our travel cards. Very annoying.
The buildings themselves were very nice to see but you won't be spending long there.
The cathedral was the highlight - good information about the stained glass etc.
Personally I found other smaller colleges better to visit. This felt more like a money grab impersonal tourist attraction.
Go to small but pretty college like Balliol instead if you don't want to pay an arm and a leg.

Beautiful experience. The college was nice, and the cathedral also. Although the price of it is high, I recommend buying the multimedia ticket, it contains a lot of useful and interesting information, and it is translated into many languages. Also, if you want to go there, do buy tickets online in advance, because they tend to sell out quickly.

Beautiful, historic Oxford college. I have visited several times, but not since they added a new visitor’s center with self-guided audio tours. The audio/video tour is one of the best I have experienced while traveling. It contains a lot of excellent information both about the history of the college and its contemporary use. For people new to the UK/Oxford university system, this tour helps you to understand how things work while gaining an appreciation for the history of this particular college and its cathedral. The meadows are, of course, a lovely place to walk, picnic, or even take a nap!
Joel Childers — Google review
Expected more. Do not pay for a tour if you are a Harry Potter fan: just one hall and stairs. Church needed to visit.
Hanna Kucher — Google review
Be warned that the college is not very accessible. There are many steps throughout, and some pathways in the garden area are muddy/flooded, which I think will be difficult to navigate with a wheelchair or limited mobility.
We had a pushchair which had to be carried up/down several flights of stairs (easy for us as we were in a group but I imagine impossible if you're on your own). We were warned of this at the visitor centre, and at the entrance; but I don't remember a clear warning on the website when buying tickets.
Tickets are £16 per person, or £12.80 if the cathedral is closed. You can buy online or at the visitors centre. If you buy online you'll still need to queue at the centre for your audio guide.
Check the timings for the great hall beforehand, as it closes during lunchtime and you don't want to miss it! It's the highlight of the visit.
Overall I think it's worth a visit even if it's pricey.

A really beautiful place to visit. Quite large, but the audio walking tour is self-guided so you can move at your own pace. There’s a nice path to the river as well, providing lots to see both inside and outside. Visitors cannot go in the library, but it was fun hearing about the tree that can be seen from within that is the inspiration for the tree the Cheshire Cat sits in throughout the Alice in Wonderland stories.

The Pitt Rivers Museum is a Victorian Gothic-style building located in Oxford, England. This museum is dedicated to the collection of artifacts from all over the world, most notably from archaeology and anthropology. Some of the most interesting items on display include shrunken heads, masks from all over the world, toys from different countries, and clothing worn by royalty. This museum is best for older children who are curious about history and appreciate quirky architecture.
The Oxford University Museum of Natural History houses some of the most incredible natural specimens in the country, from dinosaurs to primates. It is a popular attraction for anyone interested in paleontology and anthropology.
Brilliant! Don't miss out!
The museum has a really wide range of exhibits. It's great if you have a dinosaur lover with you. We did and she had a fantastic time.

Being a museum worker myself I do enjoy visiting other museums. This one is particularly stunning with its high, green house style ceiling in the main hall. You could spend hours in just this room alone. There is a lovely cafe that overlooks the main hall from up high, a great location for a cafe. You can see a lot more detail in the ceiling from there so don't miss that opportunity to take some snaps. They have some truly stunning items in this museum, one of my fave places is a very small darkened room where they show off some gem stones under a black light. Their T-Rex takes pride of place in the main hall and does not disappoint. I think my favourite area though was the Pitt Rivers Museum, which is inside the museum of natural history. In there you will find some of the most interesting, weird, wacky and fascinating items. Do not miss that area! I would point out that due to building works we ended up walking around for some time, looking for the entrance which for some reason is not signed posted anywhere. If you go onto their website and look at a map they have provided, (my visit was planned by a friend who knew the area so I hadn't thought to go and look myself) you will find it much easier to get to the entrance.

Wonderful building with a well rounded collection. Think its one of the better Natural History museums out there! One thing that was a shame to see was that the taxidermy specimens had been exposed to quite a bit of sunlight and really should’ve been taken care of better! But a definite must see!!

I recently celebrated my birthday in a rather unconventional way by visiting the Oxford Natural History Museum, and let me tell you, it turned out to be one of the most remarkable and enriching experiences of my life. Despite the skepticism from some friends and family who questioned my choice of a museum as a birthday destination, I followed my passion for history and natural wonders, and I couldn't have made a better decision.
One of the highlights of my visit was the meteorite exhibit. Seeing this extraterrestrial rock up close and learning about its origins left me in awe of the vastness of the universe. The museum did an excellent job of presenting the information in a way that was accessible to visitors of all ages, and the interactive elements made it even more engaging.
What truly made my visit unforgettable was the opportunity to touch and interact with rare minerals and objects. It's not every day that you get to feel the weight of history in your hands. The museum's dedication to allowing visitors to have a hands-on experience with these precious artifacts is commendable.
I wholeheartedly recommend this museum to anyone with an appreciation for natural history. It is a treasure trove of knowledge and a place where unforgettable memories are made.

A wonderful museum experience. It is much smaller than London's Natural History Museum, but this makes it, in a way, better, because it is more densely packed with interesting things. One of my favourite museums in the UK, and probably the highlight of my visit to Oxford. The only downside is that I don't believe there is enough here to ever warrant a second visit.

It's a wonderful day. A huge museum, must go after a good breakfast. No tickets.
But parking is costly. I paid 13pond for 2hrs. So within 2hrs, how much we can see we did. But so many things I can't see.
It's too sad. Lift is also available. Toilets are very nice. You can move with your stroller if you have a baby. If you want to carry your baby you can park your stroller inside.
I like it. A tea stall was outside. A prayer room is also present near it. But it has code .
Only one thing I felt.
So many things in a single place so congested little bit.
2ndly I saw some in an order way. But some are not.
Anyhow it's an amazing time. Again I thought we are tiniest part of the universe. And how much we are unaware of the secret of the universe

Amazing. Literally I can spend days in this place and just get a small perspective of all the knowledge that it holds. The way the exposition is set up, how wonderful the building is by itself, the heterogeneity of scopes that the collection holds. Don't miss the back area of the museum. And be sure to check the columns on the second floor. Every single detail is inspiring. And it is free, which is mind blowing. One of the best museums I have ever visited.

Amongst the swathes of things to see and do in Oxford, a visit to this museum is an absolute must. There are a plethora of things to see here and it's staggering how much has been encapsulated in such a modest amount of space. The museum isn't the size of the British Museum but in terms of the vast amount of artefacts, relics, documents, etc., there are things here you won't find even in the aforementioned museum, which makes it all the more intriguing. A day spent in Oxford is not complete if you don't come here and soak in the wonders of time gone by.

Utterly amazed by the presentation and vast number of specimens out for the public to see. You can wander between huge, bulky skeletons of wilderbeast and rhinos and then look up at the dinosaur skeletons and down at Pliosaurs. They also have rocks and crystals to show and touch. Wonderful insect and arachnid displays upstairs which take you through the different orders. You can stop to have a cup of tea and a snack while gazing at the bird specimens in a large case. There is also a fun gift shop full of unique natural history inspired gifts.

There are a few museums in which the building itself is another piece of art, and this is one of them. A huge hallowed hall surrounded by statues of the titans of scientific history.
On my first trip around the museum, I only took in the architecture and the statues, before moving to the exhibits and truly impressive fossils reconstructed into their former animal forms.

Natural history museum
I haven't been here in decades. Although it has recently undergone a huge refurbishment it does seem smaller than I remember.
It's nice to see they've incorporated a cafe upstairs, it is so needed and would have been fantastic on school trips 😀
Exhibits are still quite interesting although I was quite disappointed to see the names of a lot of African regions and villages are spelt incorrectly.
Friends visiting Oxford absolutely loved the experience and look forward to coming back in the summer ☀️

The Natural History Museum in Oxford is a captivating destination that takes visitors on a mesmerizing journey through the wonders of the natural world. With its stunning architecture, extensive collection of specimens, and educational exhibits, it is a must-visit for nature enthusiasts, families, and anyone curious about the history of life on Earth. Also the entry is free!

The Oxford University Natural History Museum is an incredible place to visit. It is all about science and investigation and is a large collection of anatomical exhibits.
The bulk of the exhibits on show are in a large, central hall, with further exhibits and a cafe in a mezzanine.
A set of carved, stone pillars around the central hall feature statues of notable scientists and investigators. Other columns feature stone samples from around the UK.
Exhibits range from ancient fossils and skeletons, biological specimens, and preserved animals.
The cafe provided drinkable fresh coffee and surprisingly good sandwiches.
Make the visit.

It was a nice place to visit, you will need at least 3 hrs to explore there. Its free entry and if you are a naturalist, this place is definitely for you. We enjoyed our visit and we admired the natural preserves there

Great venue, by far the best I've visited yet on my trip. I had lots of fun around it, and I must say I wish I had more time to explore because it is truly remarkable.
The Ashmolean Museum is a world-renowned museum in Oxford, England, which houses collections from all over the world. The museum has an extensive range of exhibits, including art from ancient Greece and Rome, paintings by famous British artists such as Turner and Canaletto, and archaeological objects from all over the world. The lunchtime set menu often features dishes themed with current exhibitions for a good value meal.
We travelled up to Oxford specifically for this museum. My Husband has an interest in Japan and it's history and my daughter is currently learning about Egyptians in school.
We booked online, entry is free, and added on the family adventure for 4 (as well as donating which I hope everyone does to help such a wonderful museum).
The adventure tablets and headphones where superb, I'm so glad we added it on. The games where extremely child friendly, we was able to play games together at certain spots and individually whilst learning about certain pieces. My only slight gripe with this was, there was a section of find the paintings, one of the paintings we was searching for had actually been removed from the room, so we spent 10 minutes wandering before a kind member of the team there helped us. The order of the games was a bit odd, first going up to floor 3, then 2 back to 3 then 2 then 1. It didn't suit us personally, so we just started at the top and worked our way down and then when we got to certain parts included in the adventure we clicked on them. This was we was seeing everything instead of just actively looking at the tablet parts.
We was here a good 3 hours and could of spent longer but my youngest was getting tired. We had a pushchair and found the lifts quite small as a family group. The blue lift goes to certain floors then a pink lift for another. Easy to get to grips of and find when you've got your bearings.
The shop was fab, bit small with a pushchair and when busy I imagine. My daughter had some books and I had the gin (which was beautiful tasting!).
We're looking forward to visiting again.

I absolutely love this museum. Spotlessly clean, spacious and so many interesting exhibits. Free admission but a donation is welcome. Shows arts and cultures from all over the world with some amazing pieces to admire. Clean well maintained toilets. Did not visit the cafe or gift shop so cannot comment.

Fascinating place with many exciting displays. One could lose track of time viewing the countless exhibits. If a guided tour is an option then highly recommended.
Allow plenty of time to wander and discover and take a break in their cafe or enjoy a meal in the roof top restaurant.

Love this museum. Has the bits of history that I enjoy. This time, I spent time in the Anglo-Saxon exhibit and went to see the Messiah violin by Stradivari and 2 other of his violins. Will do it again.

To say there is something for everyone would be the understatement of the year.
However, if you want to know how to deal with a wicked rat-ghost, display your planetary deities, or create an incense holder with an ox sculpture then this is the place for you.
If you find the Baroque collection make time to stay awhile.

I was so lucky to be able to photograph Sam and Ben's wedding at the Ashmolean in Oxford. The setting it absolute stunning with the wedding taking place in amongst the beautiful art work. The staff were absolutely amazing and were always on hand to help when needed. What a fantastic and quirky venue to get married at. I highly recommend it.

This museum has a wonderful collection of historical artifacts, especially those from Egypt. The art gallery is impressive, with a wide variety of artwork to admire. You can easily spend 4-5 hours exploring the museum with your family. There's a convenient food court located underground, perfect for grabbing a bite to eat and continuing your visit.

Brilliant! The Ashmolean has been on my visit list for years and it was amazing.
The museum has a fantastic range of exhibits. It's a beautiful building, lots of space to take your time and not be crowded. Honestly, one visit isn't enough!

I've been in April with my daughter, we spent there half of the day. The museum is impressive, a lot of interesting things to see from different eras of history and different countries. We really enjoyed everything, but the roman statues and the Egyptian hieroglyphs really caught my eye, and another things that I loved were the Stradivarius violins.

A spot where you could have unintentionally spent hours browsing. Even though several of the galleries were closed for maintenance, there is so much to see and it takes time to thoroughly examine collections from different regions and time periods. I reserved a ticket for a specified time slot, yet it appears that it is not quite essential because I visited on a weekday. Furthermore, the highlights self-guided audio tour, which costs only £3.6 and can be listened to on one’s own digital devices, allows me to swiftly discover the most valuable objects in Ashmolean.

Been there quite a few times but it never gets boring! You always find some small detail you haven’t noticed before. Good collections, even my 7 year old brother kept on busy exploring. Great activity to do in Oxford especially considering it’s free. There are toilets, cafe and a restaurant on the top floor.

Completely free museum with exhibits spanning the globe. You’ll see mummy’s, cast replicas of Roman and Greek statues, Asian bronze work, and so much more.
One of the gems of Oxford on my day trip to the college town.

Free to enter. It’s kinda half museum and half art gallery. Lots to see across 5 floors and a cafe and gift shop too. Some interesting local finds as well as the usual Egyptian, Ancient Greek and Roman swag. Good way to spend an hour with the kids. You have to carry rucksacks in your hand, not on your back, presumably so you don’t swing round and knock over the priceless ming vase!

Hadn't planned to visit but discovered I did not need to pre-book. Staff were very informative and had excellent Covid protocols. Free to enter, but please find it within yourself to make a donation!
So much to see and you could spends days in here. I had time for the the European Art section and the English Ceramics today. Plenty of information boards explaining exhibits and all cases well labelled.
Spacious cafe, lifts, toilets and £1 lockers if you don't want to carry your bag around.
Whether you've got an hour or all day, the Ashmolean is a must when you visit Oxford.

The best museum I have ever visited. Understand this museum in in Oxford centre so being a seat of learning caters for all points of history. Clean, spacious with helpful staff. Lifts to floors, gift shop and tea room, spotless throughout lockers for your bags open or lockable umbrella stands (yes lockable) and mobile lightweight seating if you wish to study by an exhibit or rest for a while. Truly a fine place to visit. My visit was to see the Alfred jewel and was not disappointed. A must to visit while in oxford. And to top it all off its FREE. to enter, so drop in and out anytime during the day. A light and airy place not a old traditional dark and dusty museum. Nice to see the young people of Oxford and others studying inside the museum around exhibits. Gave the place such a nice feel.

I had a family day out & I was greeting and looked after superbly by the staff. There are many very interesting facts to learn about the world around us, may it be fiction and non-fictional. There also was a lovely staff member I know personally called Asia, and she just adds her own amazing uniqueness to the place. She organises events for the museum such as top class weddings. She definitely does her job justice.

My visit was specifically to see the Labyrinth exhibition, which was exceptional. The whole enormous building is full of interest & treasure, beautifully displayed and labelled. It would be easy to spend whole days there.

Loved this place. Such beautiful exhibits and so much history. It is good that the Ashmolean recognises some of the problematic sides to their acquisitions through colonialism and actually has a display on this. We enjoyed the juxtaposition of modern art with historical content. Learned so much here and will come back to Oxford again just to revisit this museum. Definitely worth stepping inside if you are in the area. You can spend a whole day here. You can also get a quick shot of culture in a 20 minute whirl.

A great visit if you’re in Oxford. It is free of charge to enter as well! They have spacious lockers, clean toilets, and a shop as well. Museum consists of multiple levels and mainly focuses on the history of the civilization. They have artifacts from around the world. Give yourself at least a couple of hours to visit this place. If you’re very keen, there’s enough things to spend your whole day in it!

Fascinating modern museum explaining the history of civilisations across the globe. Spread across 5 floors, one of which is for exhibitions (paid). Allow extra time for the WC as there's only one!

The Ashmolean Museum is an incredible collection of artefacts from all around the world and different periods of history, as well as featuring some world-class art.
It really cannot be overstated, how comprehensive the collection is. It is like a combination of the British Museum, Victoria and Albert Museums in Oxford.
And apart from the rotating exhibitions it is free to entry. We only spent an hour in the museum, but you could easily spend an entire day and then come back and see some more.
There is also a roof terrace with bar and cafe that is lovely in the summer.
A real gem and worth a visit if you are in Oxford.

Generally a nice place to have a wonder for a few hours, taking in some art and history and doing some sketching. Like most places of this ilk it closes too early and you have to pay £1 for the lockers, which you can get a token for from the shop. The Flemish section is my favourite as there are some hidden gems in there.

A great museum that’s full of all sorts of artefacts from around the world. Free to enter most of the galleries. Lots of guides and activities going on. A good shop and cafe. It can get very busy and popular but there are always places you can find away from the crowds.
