Super Beach Club but unfortunately with a problem..
The swimming pool is great and big, the animation team also (in particular the Aquagym Coach she is amazing!), the prices are very correct (25 euros the deckchair per person + 5 euros the parking), the place is incredible and the environment very nice !
The BIG problem (because I would have put 5/5 otherwise) is the deplorable service from the people of the bar (the bald tattooed man and the woman who was with him today) not even a smile or hello, the man even threw me the ice cream I had ordered. It's just chocking! This comment is not mean but in a constructive approach because it's really a shame in such a wonderful place to be served like this. (The other members of the staff are all cool tho')
Good luck for the end of the season and thank you for this great day anyway.

Went to Coco Beach during our week stay in Puglia. We made a reservation the day before for 4 chairs facing the water on the terrace. It was the right decision as on the rocks seems a bit precarious. Arrived at 10am on a Tuesday there was ample free parking in their lot. Check-in was easy and professional. 4 chairs, 2 umbrellas and 4 towels were 120 euros in total and also came with 4 non-alcoholic drink tickets so a very good deal based on what we were spending the week before in Praiano.
Views are excellent of the sea and staff were very helpful. There is a coffee
and snack bar with many options including food at we I feel is a very reasonable price.
We had 4 takeaway salads with salmon, chicken, tuna and 4 alcoholic drinks for 72 euros, they were very good. The staff at the coffee bar were very friendly and made quick work of the orders. There is also an outdoor lunch restaurant with a menu which looked great, didn’t eat there as we were going for dinner at night. We will try before we leave. All restroom, changing rooms and facilities are very clean.
All in all a great experience. FYI if you come you will need a swim cap for the pool.

Paid 70Euro for 2 sunbeds. Ok, it’s 20 euro more than Sorrento but ok, maybe they have extra special service? No service. They gave us 2 drinks cards upon entry that didn’t even cover soft drink. They charged me as ‘birre ’ even though I ordered Coke Zero and didn’t have beer. I asked if this was correct and showed the beer specified on the receipt because it’s my first time here and I don’t understand why they would do this and charge me for something I didn’t order instead of using my card for the soft drink. They were very rude and dismissive flipping their hands around and turning their backs. If you are an English speaking tourist and you come here and feel disrespected and ripped off, you have been warned. It’s not about the money, I just don’t want to come here as a customer and be treated poorly and end up feeling miserable in such a beautiful place. It’s such a contrast to our experiences at other beach clubs.
I really think they should either charge the tourists and welcome them or have it private for locals only. Why charge tourists a premium and then be awful to them?

Coco Beach club was beautiful, we went to spend the day there at the pool and the beach. You need to bring your own cap for the pool or purchase one there. The service and food was great, and Silvia from the front desk was amazing! Very helpful and nice, and helped arrange our ride there and back from the train station.

Horrible Experience - Disorganized and Rude Staff
I recently had the misfortune of attending an event at this reception hall, and it was a complete disaster from start to finish. The level of disorganization was shocking, and the staff's attitude was beyond rude.
Firstly, there was a lack of coordination in managing the event. The staff seemed clueless about the schedule, leading to delays in serving food and beverages. It was frustrating to witness such chaos.
Furthermore, the personnel's behavior was utterly unacceptable. They displayed a lack of basic courtesy and were dismissive when approached with concerns. Their maleducated responses left a sour taste in everyone's mouths.
Luca Barbieri — Google review
Horrible staff/management, horrible drinks. They say the closing is at 6pm for the beach, but they start packing everything around you at 4pm. So disturbing when you try to have a rest. When you kindly ask them to do it later they don’t bother answering. Never recommend, it is not worth your money.
Sinem Sinem — Google review
Nice, clean place. Very nice pool (you have to wear a pool cap). The people at the reception were really nice. We came without a reservation and they were able to find us two beds. However it is very expensive. The food is so so and there is very loud inappropriate (tacky) music playing sometimes. It varied from nice beach vibes at a normal volume to very loud beats with weird remixes of 2014 songs.
Experiencing the legendary tale of Rodolfo Valentino at the Museo Rodolfo Valentino in Castellaneta is a truly exceptional experience. The museum, known for its exquisite collection, allows visitors to delve into the life of this iconic figure. Angie was an excellent guide. The karst cave is impressive and as you descend the spiral stairs you can't but admire the beauty of the cave patiently carved by nature over the years.

We visited the cave today and were lucky to have had a private tour (my kids and I). After a nice and warm welcome, we were guided by Alessandra who spoke with so much enthusiasm and expertise, that my kids got really excited throughout the tour. She told us about nice little details and my kids still keep talking about it. Really, really worth a visit while in the area!

The cave is beautiful, very well preserved, clean with good air ventilation. The stuff was polite and our young guide was very kind, he explained us all the stages of the cave creation and helped our fantasy to enjoy the stalagmites sculptures! We will definitely come back for an exploration of the deeper parts of the cave.

Quite compact grotto, and quite close to the surface, but with a fantastic range of formations including big ones. As the custodian pointed out, it is all the more amazing that such formations should have appeared in a grotto so near the surface. The initial access is down a few turns of a spiral metal staircase and after that the distance to be walked and the number of steps up and down are not great, so people of limited stamina will probably be OK. The 5 Euro entry fee is visitor friendly too, and excellent value. Highly recommended.
David Burton — Google review
Smaller than Grotte di Castellana but incredibly good value for money. 5€ entry including bilingual guide. Guide was incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating, tour was very interesting and just the right length of time (30mins). Not far from Putignano town centre - we walked there in Summer.

Just had a lovely visit to the "Grotta del Trullo" in Putignano. It's an easy 15-20min walk from the Historic Center or Train Station and therefore easy to reach. My Guide Angela showed me around in a Private Tour and explained about the history and important facts about the Grotta. It's easy accessible and a very good value for money. Polignano a Mare is very proud of the great Domenico Modugno and with good reason. This statue has him in the famous pose you may have seen captured in black and white film when he sang the chorus of his most famous song Nel blu dipinto di blu, which was an international hit in 1958. When you look at the statue, you can imagine him singing “Volareee, oh, oh, cantareee, oh oh oh oh!” Not far away you can also see the house where he lived, and as you stroll down Via Roma, also nearby, the full lyrics are displayed in lights above it. It’s fun to see how many people sing as they walk along, mostly to themselves softly but I have heard some sing it in full voice and pretty well. So, recently there was a beautiful renovation and expansion of the piazza where the statue is and it a great place to go and practice the Italian art of “Dolce far Niente”

Lama Monachile is a small, quiet cove located beneath the famous bridges in Polignano a Mare. It is known for its clear water and pebble beach, flanked by dramatic, rugged cliffs. The place is peaceful and stunning, with few tourists during the summer months. Visitors should be prepared for a challenging walk down to the beach, as well as slippery stones.
The place is so beautiful really nice amazingly wonderful site. You need a good fitting shoes something really comfortable coz the walk is challenging and the stones could get slippery at times. Not much crowded. The place reminds me of Spain. But this is different. This is something you should try to visit when ur in Italy.

Wonderful cobble beach, the water is clear and the whole place is really unique. Unfortunately it is a small place and very popular, so it's better to come early to find a spot. When it's crowded it can be difficult to reach the sea since there will be few empty spaces between the towels

Very crowded during the summer but you shouldn't miss this place. Coming from the Philippines, I have seen lots of amazing beaches but this one just tops the list. Make sure to add this to your future plans whenever visiting Italy!
Argie Karl Mayrong — Google review
A unique and beautiful beach hidden in a little inlet. The views here are stunning, just make sure you bring swim shoes if taking a dip as the rocks can be quite slippy. There are a number of stray cats around, with one wonderful and friendly little black cat who led us down to the beach one night, if you happen to cross this cats path, give him a little pat on the head and some food if you have some spare.
Dylan Kelly McDonagh — Google review
Go early in the morning for a splash in the open seas. The best experience with my family.
However, be prepared...
It was a very rocky coastline prior to getting into the water. As soon as I touched the water, get in and swim, as it's too slippery underfoot.
Take a blanket to sit on as the foreshore is dirty and rocky.
Easy access from the main street. Wish the garden leading to this beach spot was pruned and a bit tidier.
But the water was worth the visit.

The town is lovely. The beach itself in the day on a weekend is a (gorgeous) tourist trap. So many people that it’s not worth staying. Get there early to take your pictures and then go to one of the other cave beaches in the area. Arrived before June 1 on a Wednesday (see overcast photo) but by Thursday it was sunny and packed.

What a beautiful tourist trap. Definitely your instagram expectations with reality won’t be aligned ;)
Let’s be honest here, it’s a beautiful place, great views. However the beach itself is horrible. If you are expecting a relaxing day on the beach, this won’t be the case. It’s overcrowded and extremely rocky beach. Huge stones everywhere what makes impossible to lay down even if you manage to get a spot. No toilets, no changing booths.
I would recommend this place for a quick swim to refresh after you have explored the city.
Arturs Mons — Google review
The only good thing about this "beach" is the view of the bridge and the surrounding buildings. Small, stony and dirty, this is more like a dirt road or mountain trail. I definitely wouldn't come here to beach.
Centro Storico Polignano a Mare is a charming village on the cliffs overlooking the Adriatic Sea. Visitors can enjoy stunning views, meander through narrow streets, and dine on local cuisine in various restaurants located around its main piazza. The village also boasts a rocky beach area where visitors can swim and take refreshing dips in clean waters while admiring natural beauty. A bridge provides an impressive view of the sea nestled between rocks and buildings.
Lovely to walk through all the alleyways and hidden nooks and crannies . Every turn leads to an alley or little square. Finally a view of the lovely sea and shore ahead. Came in the afternoon on route to Monoploli will be back for breakfast and a coffee in the many cafes.

Little Village situated on the cliffs overlooking the Adriatic Sea. It offers breathtaking views, tiny little streets and main piazza where you can sit in many restaurants and have local food. It only takes want to talk hours to visit everything but it's well worth it. The village also had a beach area which is rocky and super crowded on the weekends. But it nice to freshen up, the water is clean and you can jump of the cliffs there.

Fantastic old city with various picturesque little houses, small balconies full of flowers and small alleyway’s that you really don’t expect that they would lead you to wonderful view of the Adriatic Sea. Small shops in almost all the pavements, churches, piazzas and even shops for street food. The city is “ hanging” on a cliff about 20 meters high , is one of the most photographed cities in Italy, is considered as the jewel of Apuglia and also the native town of the famous Italian singer Domenico Montunio
A place worth visiting for sure and don’t forget to taste the special cafe just outside of the old city.

Any walk in Polignano de Mare begins in the old town, passing through Porta Vecchia, gate to the historic center. Here you will find a real labyrinth of vaults, stairs, serpentines, small squares, old churches and cobbled streets, all decorated with flowing flower pots for a drop of color.
Riding on narrow streets and rocks, you will discover many love poems written on stairs, doors, or walls of houses. These were written by Guido, the Flaneur.

Really great ‘little’ museum.
You can’t visit Alberobello and not visit the famous Trullo Sovrano.
The place has a tonne of history and is a really interesting visit. The place is deceptively large too! Staff were friendly but there is a staggered entrance to allow other visitors to go around and leave before others are let in
Keir Symonds — Google review
Really impressive piece of architecture at the northern side of Alberobello. Tickets are only €2 per visitor, so it's good value for money to see the largest Trullo inside. The two disadvantages are the street renovation that is currently underway (Apr2024), and opening hours: from 10:00 to 12:45, and from 15:30 to 18:30

Trulla-museum, very interesting. Worth to visit, open until 2 p.m. Alberobello is wonderful!

I really liked the location, the history and the scenic value.
I belive a bigger diversity of outlets and goods available beyond just tourist souvenirs would add to the place.
Parking was available, but a bit hit and miss!

This is the best example of a Trullo. It consist of 2 levels. On the first floor you'll find kitchen and living room, as well as a bed room. On the second floor you'll find a weaving loom. From the second floor you can see the other trulli on the street. In the kitchen there is a long explanation about wines in Puglia region.

Alberobello is a town in Italy’s Apulia region. It’s known for its trulli, whitewashed stone huts with conical roofs. The hilltop Rione Monti district has hundreds of them. Very unique trullo buildings. The trulli of Alberobello have been designated UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996

Great little museum and a bargain at only €2 entry. So interesting to see the inside of these houses. Don't miss the little shop at the bar where you can stop in for a wine tasting for only €3. Wonderful place to learn about the history of the trulli.
Sinéad Browne — Google review
It is definitely unique and it comes highly recommended, but it’s a long drive just to look at houses with a pointy hut. The history is interesting, but there is not much of a town once you’re done with the old city.
Silke “SilkeGlobal” Wettergren — Google review
Not much to see on the inside, sincerely I expected more history or something about the trulli. It was only info about this specific trullo that it is unique, luckily it only costs 2€, so it was ok why u see for the money.

Interesting place, full of information, with lots of objects exposed, helping you to better understand the life in a trullo. Decent entry price. Visited 1 hour before closure, it was not so crowded then....
The parish church of Sant'Antonio di Padova is a trullo-shaped building built in 1927 following the traditional shapes of the surrounding buildings. The construction of this church aroused many disputes among the citizens due to their gradual loss of traditional building canons in the area. It is a must-see for visitors to Alberobello, and its architecture makes it one of the most famous churches in Italy.

Alberobello is a charming and historic town in southern Italy that's known for its trulli - traditional, wooden huts with steep roofs. If you're looking to explore the area, consider booking a walking tour with Trulli e Puglia Tour di Alberobello. With local help, you'll be able to get a better idea of each trullo, and learn about Alberobello's history and culture.
I honestly can’t stress enough how important it is to book this wonderful tour if you are planning a trip to Alberobello! Especially if the wonderful Mimo is your tour guide. He is funny, informative and educational and makes for a very insightful and informative tour ending in visiting an actual Trulli house doubling as a museum then a perfectly prepared lunch served in a secret garden whilst being serenaded by a beautiful live music! Epic experience!

Zoosafari is an animal park that offers a drive-through safari, sea lion aquarium, roller coasters, and water rides. The park is affordable and provides clean and exciting experiences for visitors. It's recommended to purchase vegetables for the animals before arriving at the gate of the park. However, caution should be exercised when choosing a vehicle as some animals may damage cars. The zoo allows visitors to get up close with beautiful animals like lions crossing in front of cars.
Amazing park, I've never seen animals this close, like a lion crossing over in front of my car! The monkeys rail tour is a nice idea, but it's so protected inside that you can't really see much. It's such a pity.I'm not sure how happy the polar bear was, as 40 degrees C was too much even for me. Overall spectacular though!

Awesome experience, animals come close and you can touch them. Car safari is very nice! It takes almost the whole day to go visit all the attractions. I definitely recommend.

A wonderful experience! We stayed there for 5 hours, around 3 for the zoo safari and another 2 for the other experiences included and it was really fun and exciting. It's really worth the price! Strongly recommend!

A must go for families with kids. Better to go in winter than in summer with the heat. The animals seem to be having a good time. You get the feeling that animals enjoy very much the encounter with humans. Dangerous animals are kept at a safe distance, but close enough to feel like you’ve entered their world. Hugging a giraffe was probably the cutest thing I’ve done there.
Marianna Massa — Google review
Amazing experience. I highly recommend anyone arriving by train at Fasano to rent a car from parking lot close to train station for the day at the zoo and go to the safari with it.

Really great place to visit. There are both places, one is zoosafari ( driving in car), second is zoo + fun park. Both are great. Cost is 120 for two adults and two kids. But it is worth the price. At least 5h is needed. Best have own food, unfortunately restaurants are poor quality and very pricey (18euro for lunch per person). A lot of beauty animals, really you can touch them… moreover place is very beautiful , charm-full. For sure will go there again.

Amazing a very special, unforgettable experience. a day dedicated to the family in the most beautiful way. I highly recommend that a family with children go here as you have a very nice day to spend. watch out for goats as they tend to get close to the car and can scratch it. do not miss the visit inside the lemurs as it is unique. it costs only €3 more

LOVED every minute of it! Regarding the cost, it was 32 euros per person. For the overall experience, I feel like it’s definitely worth it. With the same ticket you have access to the rest of the zoo (pedestrian access) and other activities. Would definitely visit again.

Clean, exciting, affordable and...did I mention clean? This place was more than worth the drive, price, and experience. Don't forget to buy vegetables for the animals before you drive up to the gate of the park. I would be careful about which vehicle you take, however. We saw a buffalo dig it's horns into a car and, well, the owner wasn't too happy.
Donte Gordon — Google review
a good place, a lot of interesting things, a lot of positive impressions ... but the only minus is you buy an entrance ticket and you still have to pay for all the little things, a boat, an entrance to the aquarium, parking. You must have cash with you.

Amazing! We are full of good emotions. The closest contact with wild animals in my life. Big amount of different animals
????? ?????? — Google review
This place has a nice drive thru safari where the animals will come right up to the window and get in the way of your vehicle. I would suggest buying the carrot and peanut bags they sell outside the zoo. Not clear on the legality of it but there are no signs saying you can’t feed the animals and everyone seems to do it. The drive thru safari is pretty long. After you go thru the safari you can then park and there’s also an amusement park and additional zoo features to the rest of place. It does cost more money to ride any rides once in the amusement park. It wasn’t very busy and no lines on any of the rides. Was great for our 3-year old: bumper cars, gondola ride, merry go round, etc. It’s an ok amusement park, but was a great half day event for us and a change from the many beach days.
Chris Hugenberger — Google review
Really good experience, would like to come here again. The zoo is separated in safari (where u can feed and interact with animals) and zoo part. (where you, besides watching animals, can find amusement park and places to eat). Close interaction with animals is the best part.

Cannot be missed. Animals goes around you by driving the car. Huge and a lot of animals from goats to elephant, giraffes, tigers and bears.
FIRST GO TROUGH the drive way zoosafari and have available ticket to go after within the park to see monkeys with a tractor. Can go in an other part to see the bears and polar bears and reptiles. €92 for 3 adults and a car. Worthy.

Tickets are very reasonably priced. Go and have these experiences. rejoice

The fee is worth for the drive Safari only, the normal Zoo was average seen so many times.
The drive path takes around 90 min, but we drove it more than 2 hours (enough space to stand aside to let others bypass you).
Although the rule's windows must be closed, most drive with windows down (except when passing the lions and tigers). Animals are used to people and cars, they lean their head through windows letting you pet them and feed them - the best for that are giraffes and zebras.
We had rice cakes, peaches and bananas with us. If you plan feeding them buy some food beforehand, as the road sellers before the park offer a small bag for 5 Euros.
The drive around the tigers is unbelievable - they're 5, 6 of them on a roundabout with a tree and a small pond. They played and posed so we drove 3 circles around.
Driving 10 met from the lions was so thrilling, and after that along the way you meet elephants, rhinos, camels, buffalos,...
Completing the drive you park your car (extra 3 Euros) and enter the normal Zoo. Here, I would point out the Monkey train - caged train which takes you through hundreds of monkeys jumping on it.
The rest of the Zoo is quite average and was underwhelming after the Safari drive.
To conclude - no matter you're with kids or not, this is really one of the best attractions in entire Puglia region.
Dejan Braki — Google review
It was a great time for us and the kids.
We were surprised by the diversity of the animals and options to spend time.
You should plan a full day here. Beside the safari option, which will take a max 1-1,5h, there are more things to be discovered in this park.
You have also fair options to eat (no fancy restaurant but fast food Italian style kitchen).
It was really enjoyable time spent in a place perfect for kids.
Liviu S — Google review
An enjoyable day out with the family, we were very surprised at the number of animals in the zoo, very well kept and looking healthy.
The downside is that you are able to drive through the animals habitat with your car which isn't very healthy for the wildlofe also the tickets price which can exceed over 150 euro for a family of 5, this won't include most of the rides at the fairground next to the zoo, you would need to purchase extra tickets to enjoy the rides and some shows.

Like everything in this city, the park lacks maintenance, looks (and feels) completely abandoned and there is a complete disregard for the rules. We had a wonderful experience visiting Masseria Brancati for an olive oil tasting tour. They have over 1700 trees, some of which are over 2,000 years old. The tour includes a walk through the olive tree groves, a look underground where they used to press the olives and a tasting. You can also add an option to learn how to make mozzarella, which we couldn’t recommend enough!

We had an olive oil tour. The masseria and surroundings are very nice. There is an old oil mill and the tour is very informative, for 12€ per person, around one hour. The tasting was a bit basic.

We spent 2 nights as B&B guests at the property and also joined a farm tour/oil tasting. For those seeking a rustic/authentic masseria experience at a real, working farm - look no further. The owners Corrado and Antonella are wonderful hosts, and treated us like family. The property is a slice of heaven. The tour itself, which is a major tourist magnet, is very informative and interesting with passionate guides. Very high quality olive oils- a reflection of the love and dedication that has gone into running the farm while respecting traditions since Roman times.

Touring the olive tree orchards and learning about the oil production process was a highlight of our trip to Puglia.

Do not recommend unfortunately. Did an olive oil tour here. The son gave it and I’m all fine with casual but he treated the tour like he just rolled out of bed and was forced to give this tour, wearing puma pajama shorts and stammering through much of his descriptions. The place is beautiful but probably you can find better tours that take more pride in hosting guests to teach them about olive oil.
Update: Edited now to one star because after I provided feedback the owner got very defensive and lashed out at me saying I’m heartless because his son had covid and I was not sympathetic — meanwhile no one told us he was sick. And instead of cancelling the tour and refunding us, they were greedy and made their sick son give the tour so they could keep our money. So not only illogical arguments by host but also repulsive behavior. I’m actually even more appalled to have come to this place now knowing they exposed us all to illness and then blamed guests for being disappointed in a poor tour. Take ownership for your guests experiences, instead of blaming them for your own incompetence.

The threes are impressive and tell century old stories. After the walk amongst the olive threes, the guide showed us the Roman and medieval olive press. Next we enjoyed the olive tasting. The entire tour is a delight, the Masseria is absolutely stunning and the hosts very welcoming. Highly recommended!

I wanted to love this location. Whilst the setting is beautiful, there’s very little I can say in favour of it. I hate to imagine how the beaches appear outside of the “marine protection areas”. The amount of garbage was disappointing, disgusting, sad, depressing and left a feeling of such helplessness. At one end of the beach was the well kept “paid section”, looked lovely... the remainder of the beach “public section” you could easily fill a garbage truck at least once over. I would be interested in learning more about what conservation policies exist in Italy for Marine/Parklands.

This is a fine example of a conservation area and yet very accessible to the public . A shuttle bus service is provided from the main parking area. There are different zones of protection , no fishing , sailing and water sport areas and swimming is not encouraged in some areas . The areas are clearly designated and the public seem to be cooperating. There is a turtle hospital not open to the public due to stress that this would cause the animals. There are long scenic , tranquil paths to walk but beware of the erosions and danger in some of the cliff tops. The beaches and bays are a haven for wildlife and the public alike this place deserves more publicity but maybe its better left to the public to discover how wonderful it is?
Danny Phillips — Google review
Sorry but calling Torre Guaceto a natural reserve is a joke... The beach is dirty, with microplastics and other waste, and due to the shallow water the dirt remains in the water almost up to the buoys. Beach is overcrowded in August as could be expected, yet it has only two toilets and not even a shower. Booking online or not makes no difference: the parking is huge and accepts anyone who pays the 5€ at the entrance, and then everyone queues up for the shuttle. But the small „train“ doesn’t bring you to the beach, instead it drops you off some 700m away... and even in peak periods there is only one "train". Queues under the scorching sun are very long for both journeys (wait at least 20 minutes). The sea is ok, but neither better nor worse than the other coves along the coast. Don‘t waste your time & money here!
Grunz Pieper — Google review
- It's a wonderful place for a good walk along the seaside, the sea is simply amazing, only downside the rubbish coming from the sea get stuck on the beaches and doesn't get removed because "it's a reserve".

The establishment boasts an expansive green area with a shabby-chic ambiance, offering excellent food options served either directly to your location or in the restaurant. The beach is natural, the bar and club is relaxed, friendly and in good condition.

I have never hated a beach club more than this one. When we arrived, the hostess was super rude by assuming we didn’t have money to stay here (that’s already a sign for you) because my parents didn’t want to sunbathe. After several minutes of back and forth, we finally sat down and still they treated us like we were trash. The food they offer - like orange octopus - does not deliver what they promised. Then I asked for them to charge my phone, and the same lady refused. And it’s only May, the club is pretty empty. The food isn’t as good as it should be, and the service is HORRIBLE. Do not recommend.
If they served a better ambiance than they do, I would even consider not taking it personally but nothing they served us justified the treatment we got here.

Really nice beach club
We went in Puglia during the high season and we struggled to find a good beach club in the area so, we were definitely pleased once we found this one.
In front of the place there is a big parking space (not free) and from there you just need to walk few metres in order to be with your feet in the sand.
The atmosphere is relaxed, the music enjoyable and food really good (we tried the octopus and couple of sandwiches).
I read complains about service being slow and prices being a bit high.. I can agree with both but, we definitely need to consider the amazing location and the fact that places like these are rare in Puglia.
If you are looking for a nice place to relax/being spoiled without worrying too much about the budget, then you should pass by the Guna Beach

An amazing experience that I highly recommend to all those who love history. The place is a priceless historical jewel enriched with many amazing human stories engraved in every inch of the building. At first I entered and besides appreciating the old building I couldn't understand its meaning. I asked the gentleman from whom I bought the ticket (€3) if he could give me some information. After helping some other tourists he came to me. I thought that maybe he was going to tell me a sentence or two. But this gentleman explained to me all the history from the time it was built in 1743 till the last additions to the ceiling that were recently added. He related such an amazing story with so much passion that I was feeling transported away to the times of the templars who built this place to pray before leaving for Jerusalem. He explained about the columns, their alignment, why one seems to be inclined, the three different layers of frescoes and what they show, how they used to be painted on fresh Mata, the doors, the altar, the engraved signs on the outside walls, the mosaic flooring and everything else. I am so grateful to this gentleman. I thank him as he truly made my visit an amazing one.

This is a fascinating place with a fascinating history so much I didn't know about the Templars the Crusades the Roman period romanico style and other stuff the guide was very very helpful made it very pleasant also the garden is quite interesting olives and birds of paradise flowers but the real crown jewel is the Roman ruin underneath the temple highly recommended if you're into history or the medieval period

Via S. Giovanni al Sepolcro, 5, 72100 Brindisi BR, Italy
Colonne Romane, also known as the Roman Columns, is a significant historical site in Brindisi, Italy. These ancient columns stand as a testament to the city's Roman heritage and are a must-see for history enthusiasts. Situated in Piazza della Vittoria, these two columns date back to the 2nd century AD and were once used as a landmark for the end of Via Appia.
The end of Via Appia (Roman ) . There were 2 of them. The city of Brindisi, gave the other one to Lecce.

Nice place to visit if you are in the area. Two old roman columns mark the end of Via Appia Antica, one of the major roads of the roman empire, leading from Rome to Brindisi and further to Greece. One of the columns remains intact, while the other has only the base.
Ioannis Louizos — Google review
Interesting to see the second original end of the Via Appia. The original headstone can be seen in the Palazzo Granafei, worthwhile! Unfortunately, only one of two columns is left standing.

Great place to view the harbour and see a column from Roman times. There are some archeologico ruins nearby under the community theater and in the neighboring palazzo. All are free to visit.

Two old roman columns mark the end of Via Appia Antica, one of major roads of roman empire, leading from Rome to Brindisi (and further to Greece or the east by sea). One of the colums remains intact, while other has only the base, the rest of the column is in city of Lecce.
Ante Krizmanić — Google review
A bit underwhelming considering its historical importance as the end of the Via Appia. Could use a bit more information… as could the nearby house of Virgil.

Every time I walk on this marina, I just feel my soul getting refreshed. It's a great way to start the morning or just to relieve some stress.
Leila M-Spain — Google review
One of the most underwhelming attractions in Brindisi. You've probably seen hundreds of such columns all over the ex Roman Empire territories.
Allegedly they marked the end of the Via Appia Antica road from Rome.
They're located in old town, short walk after the Duomo Square with its Cathedral, before the staircase leading down to Lungomare sea side promenade.
One column remained intact, while the other collapsed and was relocated in Lecce. Just a pass by and quick photo attraction
Dejan Braki — Google review
A broken column at the top of steps. Very easy, very quick. Perfect tourist stuff!
Ruth Coppard — Google review
A breathtaking location high up overlooking the port of Brindisi was Rome's choice for the location of this two columns in this beautiful strategic ancient international hub of a port and city responsible for importing and exporting all the goods and luxuries from Africa, Asia, Arabia and the Adriatic nations.
The Appian way runs from here all the way to mighty Rome.
Make sure you do not fail to visit its free entry Archeological Museum as together with Taranto are some of Italy's finest and most informative museums in any decent travellers itinerary.

Really hot day (of course) but this was a sight worth seeing. Very clean and safe area. Towards the end of the holiday season meant no crowds.

Imagine 2000 years ago making the trip from Rome by foot and then go through these columns to finally feel the wind and see the sea.

Went out on a hot day, would recommend bringing a fan. But overall it was beautiful seeing the column, it was even better revisiting it once I read up and learned about the history of the current standing column in Brindisi and the past.

A wine for connoisseurs that does not empty your pockets.

Porto Selvaggio, a natural reserve located in Nardo, Italy, is well-known for its pebbly coastline ideal for swimming and sunbathing. Although it is a popular destination during summertime, visitors are advised to explore the tranquil forest trails leading to the cove of Porto Selvaggio. This enclave offers an opportunity to discover local wildlife while enjoying the peaceful scenery. The nearby fresh water spring that flows into the sea provides a refreshing experience despite its freezing temperature.
A great park to spend a peaceful day and enjoy nature! There are options for all audiences, from children to the elderly and it is very accessible for everyone. A beautiful beach, picnic tables and shade to relax and read a book. It is also possible to go hiking and explore every corner of the park. Beautiful views of the sea, I recommend it!

Gorgeous place, well worth the 20 min walk. The return trip is rather steep uphill, so be ready for that. Parking wasn't a problem, we drove south past the main parking lot and found a smaller one, from which the walk is shorter. There's a shuttle from the larger parking lot, so check your options/preferences beforehand.

The square of the cathedral is surrounded by palaces built in the baroque style. These buildings house a museum that features religious art and is located within a seminary.
The cathedral, which was built between 1659 and 1712, is a beautiful example of Baroque architecture. It features an elaborate façade and a bell tower. The church is also home to the Museo Diocesano, San Matteo, Santa Chiara and Santa Croce churches. It is well worth taking your time to visit!

Over the top Baroque bounty in this lush and fabulous Duomo. The columns have climbing and clinging angels. The altars (there are many) are adorned with saintly sculptures and paintings. My favorite is the railings, complete with multicolored marbles. A true work of art. The downstairs contains some excavation and human remains as in bones and a skull. Oh my.

The Basilica di Santa Croce is a stunning example of baroque architecture situated on the Italian peninsula. It took nearly two centuries to complete with contributions from esteemed local architects including Francesco Antonio Zimbalo and his son Giuseppe, also known as Zingarello. The exterior is adorned with intricate sculptures of Saints, animals and a magnificent rose window crafted by sculptor Cesare Penna. Inside you'll find more traditional baroque design elements worth exploring once you've finished snapping photos outside.
Approaching Basilica di Santa Croce in Florence, Italy, is an experience that takes your breath away. The Gothic masterpiece stands tall, its facade has a mesmerizing blend of pink, green, and white marble. Stepping inside, I find myself immersed in a vast interior filled with stunning frescoes, chapels, and the final resting places of legends like Michelangelo and Galileo.
The detailed craftsmanship in chapels like Bardi and Peruzzi is captivating, while the simplicity of Cappella dei Pazzi and the beauty of stained glass windows create a spiritual ambiance. Exploring the peaceful cloisters surrounding the basilica, with their greenery and timeless sculptures, offers a serene escape.
Piazza Santa Croce, the square in front of the basilica, becomes a lively gathering place for both locals and tourists, adding vibrancy to the surroundings. Basilica di Santa Croce, for me, is a journey through time, a celebration of Florence's rich history, and an appreciation of human achievement in architecture and art. Truly a remarkable place.

Not big, but intersting it has been preserved in the center. I walked around and enjoyed the scene, but there were no visible information signs, only a small gate with a sign that it is temporarily closed for renovation. The sign does say guided tours avalable, but no indication of a price, or a ticket office. No real need to go inside, everything is visible from the outside, would be nice to have the history or background posted.

I've visited dozens of Greek and Roman amphitheaters all over their ex Empires territories throughout Europe and Middle East, however this is the first (and probably only) semi-amphitheater.
The layout is very interesting and unusual as there's only one half visible, which was excavated in 1930's. The other half will probably never be excavated as it's beneath the central square residential area.
It is one of few free attractions in Lecce - the site is entirely visible from the street and from the tourist office beside

We stayed on the beach 🏖️ paying 40 Euros for 1 beach umbrella and 2 sunbeds. The space between umbrellas was just enough to walk to the beach or the bar. No privacy no space no air. The restaurant is the worse. My sister had spaghetti con cozze (mussels) which was tasteless and we questioned the freshness of the seafood. My pasta was decent. Starter (plate with some fried Street food appetizers) was unremarkable. No booze. We paid 50 euros. Owners need to realise that tourists are no fouls, they simply won't go back next year if they don't change the quality of the services to provided.
