King's Park in Malmo is a beautifully landscaped park with a cast iron fountain and cycling trails. It's a great spot for a picnic when the weather is fine, and there's also a casino nearby.
It's a huge city park. Hope you will enjoy your full day in this park.

The park is beautiful and easy to walk through. Nice wide paths. Don't miss the community gardens just south of the castle, it was my favorite part of our day trip to Sweden and the thing I think of most from our trip!

Excelent place to relax and observe the plants!! I recommend!! Very beautiful ❤️

Kings park is magnificent & atmospheric. It's a historic & beautiful English style city park with a cast iron fountain, windmill, bridges, lakes, botanical garden, a cafe in a greenhouse, & a castle in the end. Walk a little further & you will run into a beach. Oldest park in Malmo (built in 1800s). We spent most of the day here as a retreat & thoroughly enjoyed it.

A great place for walking, running, birdwatching or even celebrating a picnic (specially in summer). Not many modern cities in the world can presume of such beautiful and forest-like parks in the middle of the city; For me, they are one of the best things of living in Malmö.

Nice large park close to the Malmö center. The park has really much to offer - river, lakes, fountains, benches or place on the ground just to chill there, and free public toilets. It's really a nice stroll.

Lund Cathedral, an iconic Lutheran church constructed in the 1100s, boasts a unique astronomical clock and weekend organ concerts. The Romanesque cathedral is known for its twin towers and impressive wooden figures that come to life during the striking of In Dulci Jubilo. Finn, a mythological giant who helped with construction, can be found within the crypt along with a comically carved 16th-century well.
A little Swedish wonder. I enjoyed everything in this cathedral: the historical context for its building (the artificial creation of several bishops to gain the autonomy against the archbishop of the Hanseatic league), the sculptures on the stalls, the crypt and its couple of evil giants turned into stones, the permanent clock, etc.

Lund Cathedral is a stunning masterpiece of architecture and history. Stepping inside, you're instantly transported through centuries of Swedish heritage and religious significance. The intricately carved details, towering ceilings, and beautiful stained glass windows create a serene atmosphere perfect for reflection and admiration. Whether you're a history buff, an architecture enthusiast, or simply seeking a moment of tranquility, Lund Cathedral offers a captivating experience. Its central location in the charming city of Lund makes it a must-visit destination for anyone exploring southern Sweden. Don't miss the opportunity to marvel at this magnificent gem of Scandinavian culture and spirituality.

I've heard good things about the Lund Cathedral, unfortunately when I went, there was a service and guest couldn't go in. The exterior was also under renovation, along with the building next to it. I would not recommend to come during April due to all the events, and also not on a Sunday. The exterior though looked OK, hopefully I can come back in the future when everything's completed.

It was a great experience to see one of the oldest buildings still in use in Sweden and is home to several historic furnishings and works of art! It is in the centre of the city, close to many restaurants and cafés. There is no entrance fee to enter the Cathedral, but you could buy brochures or guided tours!
Don't miss the astronomical clock that dates from around 1425. It displays signs of the zodiac and the phases of the moon!
Arushi Dadhwal — Google review
The 900 year old gothic style church is very impressive. They have been renovating the roof, but now the scaffolding is being taken down so you can also enjoy the exterior. Remember to visit the crypt to see the beautifully ornamented pillars.

Incredibly interesting cathedral church. There are countless things to discover. Please definitely visit the crypt, with the right light, truly memorable discoveries.

The best and biggest church in Lund with very nice surroundings. 5 kr for littering a small candle at the church and it’s working fine with Swish. The church is under renovation so the rooftop is taken down now and it looks funny.

It is one of the oldest stone buildings still in use in Sweden. It is very much near to lund central and is a beautifully preserved architectural church. It consists of two towers built by Zettervall, which flank the main entrance to the west.

Stopped here while visiting Lund, and it was worth it! The outside looks amazing, but the insiding is mesmerizing! The crypt was open when we went. The clock was near to see. The cathedral has a very midieval vibe to it, and we loved it!

Lund Cathedral, at the heart of the old town, is a true masterpiece. Its grandeur and historical significance make it a central figure in Lund. The cathedral's architecture and interior are awe-inspiring, offering a glimpse into the city's rich past and cultural heritage. Visiting Lund Cathedral was a captivating experience, and I highly recommend exploring this iconic symbol of Lund's history and spirituality.

American POV: a beautiful church, clearly rich in history. I wish there were more descriptions/signs in English so I could understand more without requiring a tour guide. Visiting on a Sunday in November it was very quiet and not busy.

Stunningly beautiful cathedral. Very spacious and peacefull. I suggest you visit a bit before the service, and stay during the service at least a bit.

A remarkable beautiful cathedral that is almost 1000 old according to the tour info I have been told. It is well maintained over the years, and the design is absolutely spectacular with its magnificent structures. The natural lighting shades the interior beautifully.
They have a special clock that does a cute little performance twice a day, one at 3 pm and one at 11 am or 1 pm... couldn't recall clearly. Enjoy the show, and don't put too much expectations on it lol
Luke L'sk — Google review
This is a beautiful and ornate cathedral. It is well kept and very true to its origins. The feel of this cathedral is really uplifting and sacred. It has an amazing clock, which is a true treasure. We were lucky enough to be there when it rang, and the mechanical workings were incredible to see and hear. It was by far my favorite church that we stopped at in the southern part of Sweden (admittedly, we didn't go to every single one). The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful as well and answered all of our various questions very kindly.

This is a grand cathedral. I was surprised to see its size and age. It's nearly a thousand years old. Entry is free. Its very beautiful from inside.
Vishesh Saxena — Google review
900 year old cathedral 1123-2023 carries a lot of history. The astronomical clock runs at 12:00 and 15:00. It is particularly interesting with a carousel of figures coming out of the clock.

Wooow, I was impressed by this magnificent cathedral 🤩 make sure that you explore every angle…

During our visit to Lund Cathedral, we were treated to a truly remarkable experience. Consecrated in 1145, the cathedral holds significant historical importance and houses numerous renowned artifacts. The medieval clock and 11th-century crypt are just a couple of the fascinating features within. It comes as no surprise that the cathedral attracts over 700,000 visitors annually. With three stars in the Guide Michelin's Green guide, it stands as a prominent example of Roman architecture. The best part was that entrance to the cathedral was free, and nearby parking spaces were readily available. The friendly church staff added to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Overall, our visit to Lund Cathedral was a treat for the eyes and a captivating journey through history.
The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Humlebaek, Denmark showcases an impressive collection of international contemporary and modern art dating back to 1945. The museum also features temporary exhibitions and is suitable for all ages. Visitors can bring their own food and drinks or dine at the cafeteria/restaurant. The facility is easily accessible with baby strollers and boasts creative spaces for children to play and create.
I love this place & have a membership! I have been there almost half a dozen times. Love the exhibitions, the painting & drawing area for kids (I have done it too), sitting in the garden outside or in the restaurant overlooking the sea, getting the sun, enjoying sumptuous meal with your loved ones! It’s a whole experience. Must visit if you are coming to Copenhagen. I live here but I love it so much I have a membership 🙂

I won't necessarily define it a "must-see", but if you've spent enough time in Copenhagen and you're running out of ideas for where to spend one afternoon, you should consider coming here. But only if weather is decent enough! You don't want to miss out on the sculpture garden, which also accounts for enriching your experience at the museum. It is simply way better if you can walk outdoors and enjoy admiring the sculptures and the surroundings when brightened by the sunlight. Speaking of the exhibitions, it's all about modern art, and a few creations really got my attention. I visited during the Peter Cook exhibit, which was really a "Wow!". Of course, even if you're not an art expert, you need to show up with the mindset to embody yourself in the artist and really try to understand the background behind certain masterpieces, otherwise your reaction to most of the exhibits is going to be like "What the heck is this?". You can easily spend 2-3 hours here if you're an average person like me (not really into art, but curious enough to learn something new), otherwise if art is your thing, consider taking the whole afternoon. Easily accessible by car, there's plenty of parking outside. Overall, an enjoyable experience for a fair price.

Nestled into a beautiful seaside beach with impressive landscape where architecture meets Nature.
Louisiana museum has the World class collection of Modern & Contemporary art, which draws visitors from all over the World. It is a fine museum worth visiting. Especially during Summer days.
The most memorable feature of this museum is the connection -between Inside and Outside- is carefully choreographed to maximize the sense of place and reduce the museum fatigue often occurs in a claustrophobic space in large museums.
The collection and exhibition -A. Giacometti, Modern paintings and well curated Temporary exhibitions are superb examples that make this institution impressive. Access from Copenhagen via simple train ride is clear and convenient. Two thumbs up!

My favorite museum!!! Went there several times during my stay in Copenhagen. After my first visit I loved it so much that I cancelled all my sightseeing in the following days and went to Louisiana. So many good things about this place. First and the most obvious one is the design of the whole place is stunning, including the architecture and interior design and that nice park behind the building. Everywhere is so pretty! You can also enjoy a nice sunset by the sea after your visit. Second is the exhibitions. I met my favorite exhibition by far, epic waste of love and understanding by Ragnar Kjartansson, every work of him is worth appreciated, I actually stayed in the room of “a lot of sorrow” for more than six hours to watch this six-hour-long video non-stop. I really grow on modern art here. Also, the opening hour there is very friendly, they are open until 10pm on weekdays. Love this place so much, really looking forward to going back!!!

The museum and its setting, sans the art, is an experience in itself - a beautiful small complex of interconnected buildings set upon a hill facing the sea (ok it’s probably a strait but it’s sea if you don’t look at the map). Make sure you descend down to the sea and touch it and smell it and sit upon the little pier. Perhaps even swim in it as we saw some brave locals do! Brave because the water was already cold at the end of September. But seriously bring a bathing suit in the summer!
I don’t love Giacometti, which the museum has a lot of, but did find other sculpture to love and admire there. This is largely a sculpture museum.
It is outside of (or on the edge of?) the city but very easy to get to and very worth it! In my opinion, this the most unique of Copenhagen’s museums.
My first time here I also had a great sandwich from the more casual cafe, but it appeared to be closed when I came at the end of September this time. There is a more formal sit down cafe that overlooks the sea also.
Katerina Mo — Google review
Louisiana is one of the best museums in Europe if not the world.
The whole experience you get from the moment you enter, to exhibitions and even the cafe are more than satisfying. You will see everything here from modern contemporary to classics to sculptures the museum has it all.
In order to get here from Copenhagen you must do it either by car or train. Train was very easy to get and takes around 45 minutes from Copenhagen to Luisiana.
Make sure to arrive early in the morning to avoid the queues, this place gets packed during the weekends. Allow anyway around 3-5 hrs to have a relaxed but full experience

Even though I'm not particularly interested in art museums, I was captivated by the beauty of this one. It's about an hour's train ride from downtown Copenhagen, but I think it's well worth the visit. The excellent layout, atmosphere, and the way artworks are integrated with the natural surroundings are very impressive. I highly recommend visiting it.

Great place for literally everyone. You can spend the whole day there, can bring your own food&drinks, or go to the cafeteria/restaurant.

What a beautiful museum! I went there during my stay in Copenhagen and loved every moment I stayed there. The selection of artists and works is great and everything is so beautifully displayed in this amazing building where you can navigate between inside expositions and outside to either watch a piece of art, have a coffee or a snack or bask in the sun. I may dare to say, one of the most beautiful museums I’ve visited.

Lovely seaside gallery about 40 minutes outside the city; one of the most enjoyable day trips I've had in a while. If you're in Copenhagen, you want to make time in your schedule for a visit.
Super interesting and diverse exhibits, plus the outdoor sculpture garden is quite mesmerizing.

The most beautiful museum I’ve ever visited!
This museum blew my mind. All the exhibitions were incredible, well thought, beautiful and touching. I especially enjoyed Ragnar Kjartansson’s exhibition, it was absolutely brilliant. The museum itself has beautiful gardens, it’s in a forest on the beach so it has amazing views.
Definitely don’t miss it!! Worth the 30 minutes train ride and the entering fee.

This place has a very special energy. It's not just the world class modern art exhibitions but also how everything comes together in a beautiful and tranquil setting. I suggest to set aside 3-4 hours to experience it. It's 30 minute train ride from Copenhagen.

An absolutely stunning experience! Though it’s a bit of a journey, about 50 minutes from Copenhagen, visiting the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art is immensely worth it. Each moment spent here is filled with awe and appreciation for the modern art collections and the unique ambiance of the museum. The trip itself was super cheap price for the rich cultural and artistic experience that awaits. Highly recommended for art lovers and explorers alike!

No words needed really. World renowned art museum. Go early in the morning via train, buy your tickets in line, explore for a few hours, stay for lunch at the cafe - it’s worth it. We were blessed enough to have a cool sunny day, don’t miss the sculpture outside.

The majority of photos were from the warm days so I wasn't sure what to expect during my visit in February. But it was perfect. Actually, that's the best thing I've experienced while visiting Copenhagen.
Beautiful park, cool architecture, nice sculptures. Very easy to get there by train (I purchased train tickets online via the Dot phone app, highly recommend).
Tetiana Hryshko — Google review
Wonderful experience, in beautiful grounds.
Obviously the art exhibits inside change regularly so the experience will always change.
We spent a whole Sunday here, arriving around lunchtime, finishing the day with a meal in the restaurant, which was delicious.
As a coeliac there were lots of gluten free options in the restaurant.
As an art lover, there was a good mix of the classic early 1900s and modern art through the visual of video and interactive art installations.
As a lover of scenery, you would be hard pushed to enjoy more beautiful grounds at any art gallery.
Spencer Hawken — Google review
What a lovely place! Great architecture, wonderful outdoors, good food and of course incredible art. We spent here two hours since we were on a timetable, but we will reserve more time for our next visit. You can easily get there from Copenhagen by train. The walk from the train station is less than 1 km. If you come by car and the museum's parking lot is full, you can leave the car next to the train station and walk.

Beautiful museum with great exhibitions. It’s well connected from Copenhagen if you take the train or the car.
Easy to spend a whole sunny day considering there is a small lake, the great museum cafe, and the beach side.

Lovely grounds and a beautiful space housing modern art works from all different artists. From Copenhagen we had to drive about 30 minutes outside of the city. There is a huge cafe where you can sit down have a drink and bite overlooking the water.
Enjoyed the exhibits.

Didn’t have too much time in Copenhagen but so glad I made the time to visit the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. Made my way there for the Pussy Riot exhibition - one of the best I have seen. The building and surroundings themselves are reason enough to visit. Located on the coast and with beautiful greener surrounding this wonderful architectural feat I would highly recommend this as a much visit destination for lovers of the arts.

Perfect place to be rainy day or great day. Best place for kids as well. Always inspiring and calming and atmospheric. Go now as there is a kusama installation and also the classic Giacometti. There is also thus cool exhibition with a live artist... always wanted to see one.

This museum is situated at a unique location facing the ocean. Ajoined by basement compartments, the 3 separated houses of the museum are bigger than what u see on the surface. Furthermore, the space for the outdoor sculpture garden was spacious with the ocean as the background. You have to give yourself a good 3 hours to view the exhibitions inside out. Really like the overall setting & currations. Definitely worth the 50min train ride from Copenhagen Central Station + a 15min walk to the Muse if u could spare your time for a visit🤩.

Absolute must-see on a calm weekend day ! The train ride from Copenhagen to the small town is quick and the museum is reached fast. There was no waiting line and a friendly staff welcoming us. The exhibitions were well curated and multifaced. Calm, interesting and interactive to a certain degree. The sculpture garden is worth a visit itself ! Many paths lead you around the buildings and there are many pieces to discover. When the weather is clear you can see sweden just on the other side of the water. The restaurant has a great choice of dishes, the shop is quite big and we were able to find a nice poster in a huge collection they offer. Extra plus point that they give you a protective cardboard roll for the purchase.
It was one of the best museum visits I had so far and would recommend everyone who is even just slightly interested in contemporary art :)

Nice place to visit!
Besides the exhibition, there is a beautiful garden which connects with the sea 💚
Also, another point of attraction is the restaurant, which is very popular and a lot of people go there to have a good time.
If you go there when nature is green or the weather is not so windy, you will have a wonderful experience 😊

Located quite Far from the city center, at Humblebaek area and you should also walk about 800m- 1 km to get to the museum.
I visited just last Wednesday and arrive before 11 am and it’s already very packed with people, crowded queue and wow most of them are elders. Very impressive.
The contemporary artworks collection are insanely rare and authentic. Details and caption explaining very well, the interior and exterior really pops up your mind when pay attention to the details.
Don’t forget to walking around at the backyard park which is amazingly beautiful landscape scenery that you ever seen, with the flowing river underneath where you can enjoy the view while sitting down with your meal and gazing to the art statues etc.
Definitely a gem and will be back!
And also there is kids section for those of you who visit with kiddos don’t worry.

If you are in Copenhagen and thinking is it worth an hour's journey, it totally does. Do it! Easily a day trip! Wow!
Frederiksborg Castle is an impressive 17th-century fortress-palace situated on the banks of Slotso lake in Hillerod, Denmark. The palace boasts stunning Dutch Renaissance architecture and features Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque elements. It now houses a museum of Danish and royal history showcasing over 80 rooms filled with beautiful furniture, tapestries, historical paintings and art pieces. The central courtyards are accessible for free along with the beautifully manicured baroque gardens.
A little bit off the beaten path, but easy to get to by train, especially with the Copenhagen Card. There’s a nice walk through the park to get there from the train station, and a gorgeous lake and gardens, too. The castle itself is impressive! Definitely worth the trip, especially if you have the city card.

Spectacular castle experience. The audio tour was informative and not too long. Bags are not allowed inside, but they have lockers available. The building is cold and quite dark, so keep your coat on. Staff was friendly. Organ concert was at 13:30 and quite cool to see. We spent 3.5 hours there. We recommend that you get there right at opening, because you can definitely use all 4 hours they were open. (Limited hours in January). Take a spare battery to be sure your phone stays charged for photos and audio tour. Keep your coat on, because the castle is relatively cold. The museum offered flashlights which came in handy. The castle store was pretty good. After we were kicked out at closing time, we enjoyed walking down the town’s walking street and getting something to eat, on our way back to the train station.

A little bit expensive, but I guess a lot goes into maintaining the castle and the gardens.

This is a really opulent castle and it was very beautiful to walk around. The building and its decorations were very intricate. But the museum plaques will only teach you about the portraits on the walls, and most rooms are empty except for the paintings.

Absolutely worth the visit. Can take the blue line, included in the large metro ticket. Lovely setting, fascinating architecture. The great room and chapel really stand out for their grandeur. The original Carl Bloch paintings were moving and the amount of history contained in the castle delightful. The grounds were lovely to walk. Situated close to shops and restaurants to make a whole day of it

Beautiful castle. I biked to Hillerød from Copenhagen and I found this hidden jem. Definitely worth of visiting if you are visiting Zealand. Also the city center seemed inviting for a lunch or a coffee.

Highly recommend visiting the castle, it’s a short trip from Copenhagen. Ticket prices are very reasonable for what the landmark has to offer, and it’s a beautiful, interesting place. I’ve especially enjoyed the sensory rooms because I found them quite unique, I’ve never experienced such an addition in historical spots like this one. Staff was super friendly as well. Great experience overall!

Lovely day trip from Copenhagen! This is worth going to see, paid £10 to get in. Loads of history here and the walk around the castle is so worth doing. We really appreciated the doorman who was lovely.

An amazing castle that takes you to the past. Preserved in an excellent way, combining Danish History and culture, great facilities in all aspects...

The place is amazing, magnificent, with a nice, peaceful walk around the castle and the gardens. But there is a bug negative for us. Even though they have an audio guide and an app, there is so little history told in these guides. All they talk about are various personalities from Denmark and their paintings, whereas they should talk more about the great history of Denmark and of the castle. The rooms are a bit empty, filled with paintings mostly. Feels a bit like gallery.

We came to see the original Carl Bloch paintings of the life of Jesus Christ, in the King’s Chapel. They are beautiful. The Castle is amazing. The Great Hall is covered with beautiful tapestries.

Must visit!!! a place with breathtaking architecture and a rich historical background. It is advisable to familiarize yourself with its history beforehand and engage with the knowledgeable guides available on-site. The guiders are known for their patience and willingness to provide detailed information upon inquiry. Additionally, make sure to visit the gallery located on the top floor and explore the offerings at the shop during your visit.

I would like to say, this castle is one of the beautiful castles in the world, Situated on 3 Islands and surrounded by a lake and beautiful gardens, it's simply spectacular and breathtaking. Unlike other other famous great castles I have visited in Europe, we were able to get as close as to the display, artworks, furniture etc...free to roam and explore at our own pleasure. This castle is absolutely worth a visit or must visit while in Copenhagen, it's really something!
Kronborg Slot, a 16th-century castle that served as the model for Elsinore in Shakespeare's Hamlet, is an impressive Renaissance structure declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. Its baroque green-copper spires crown a vast complex surrounded by moats and fortifications with Vaubanesque star bastions. Visitors can explore the inner palace's rooms adorned with tapestries and ceiling paintings, and marvel at the viewpoints it offers.
The castle is very interesting and filled with history.
I really am thankful for the amazing staff there. They are very good with speaking English and are very welcoming to everyone.
Me and my group had a tour guide and he was incredibly funny and interesting. He told us a lot of things I didn’t know about the castles history.

A good museum but it felt like it could be great.
The phone-based tour seemed incomplete and didn't flow well; also three of the four "tracks" were only in Danish (perhaps it's very new?).
The live action guides were okay but also could have been more engaging with adults.
The "cafe" was disappointing.

Kronborg Castle is a treasure, transporting visitors back in time with its rich history and breathtaking architecture. Don't miss the chance to see the famous "Hamlet's Castle" where Shakespeare's iconic tragedy was set – it's truly magical. Besides the captivating history, the castle is surrounded by well-maintained gardens, providing a peaceful spot to relax and take in the panoramic views.

Nice walk. You can fully walk around the castle inside and outside the castle walls. Only to enter the castle and entrance fee is necessary.

Super entertaining castle for kids as well as a very intriguing museum. The story laid put by the staff for the kids to follow was very well thought out and immersive, they all really enjoyed it! It was also interesting to learn about the rich history of this UNESCO site!

The castle is worth visiting even without paying to go inside (the ticket is kinda pricey, 14€ per person). The place looks wonderful, and while resting on the beach we even sighted a wild seal and a harbour porpoise!
Around the castle there are lots of workshop and art galleries which is nice as it feels like local artists really have a way to express themselves and get the possibility to expose their work.
The little gift shop is also a bit pricey but it has funny little Hamlet-themed quirks.
Too bad they didn't write "to be or not to baby" on the baby onesie 😆

Kronborg Castle is an absolute treasure that deserves every one of its 5 stars. Steeped in history and famously known as the setting for Shakespeare's Hamlet, this castle is a must-visit destination.
Walking through the halls and chambers of Kronborg Castle feels like stepping back in time. The rich tapestry of Danish history comes alive as you explore this magnificent fortress. From the imposing battlements to the intricate details of the interior, every corner tells a story.
The connection to Shakespeare's Hamlet adds an extra layer of intrigue and fascination to the visit. It's as if you've stepped onto the stage of one of the most iconic plays in literary history.
Kronborg Castle's location at the edge of the sea adds to its allure, offering stunning views of the surrounding waters. Whether you're a history buff, a literature enthusiast, or simply looking to immerse yourself in the beauty of Danish architecture, this castle has it all.
Kronborg Castle is a historical and cultural marvel that should be on everyone's bucket list. It's a place where the past comes alive, and every moment feels like a journey through time.

There are plenty of things to do and see at the castle, if you are with private tour then you will get more time to explore. View from the top of tower is magnificent, steps aren’t that tough. Each room explains its history. Exploring the case mates below the ground was fun. Some areas are totally dark. I loved the countryside drive. Its worth to visit👍

Beautiful place, absolutely recommended. The castle is really well preserved, the whole surrounding area kept in excellent condition gives the place the right lift. It's nice to visit these places without excessive crowds, immersing yourself a little in the "part". In the facing area you can organize a nice picnic or visit Helsingborg, a characteristic town is pleasant. A word of advice, Go into the alleys the urban architecture is a fantastic surprise.

Fun castle to visit. Courtyard has lots of activities, like stilt walking and how medieval workmen used pulley systems to lift stones. Jesters, and Courtisan actors around the castle to provide interactive fun.
Castle rooms interesting with lots of well written information. And encouraged to sit / touch / play act in parts... even a Hamlet set.

This is the famous castle mentioned in Shakespeare's Hamlet, Kronborg. It's only an hour train ride north from Copenhagen. If you have purchased the Copenhagen city pass, your castle entrance is FREE. The souvenir shop inside the castle has a lot of stuff on Shakespeare.
Come visit just to see the history, the beautiful scenery and ocean view.
If you have the time, the ferry is a short distance from the castle and a 20-minute ride to Sweden. The Swedish people are NICE and friendly!!!!!

The castle is spacious and pretty. When we visited, there was an exhibition Magical Ceilings highlighting their beauty. However, some rooms only have natural light and, therefore, some rooms were too dark to see the furniture and paintings well.

Wonderful Renaissance castle beside the harbor of Helsignør. The staff were very, very helpful, especially the two men dressed as a courtier and a jester.

This is a castle and stronghold. It is also famous world over as the setting of Shakespeare's Hamlet. The castle is open to visitors including the royal chambers, the ballroom, the chapel and various other sections. The staff provides a quick introduction after which one is free to explore the castle on their own. There was a lot to learn about the Danish history and specially about Kind Frederick II and his queen who was quite astute with managing the finances after the King. The castle is walking distance away from the Helsingör central station which is also where the ferry from Sweden disembarks. There are washrooms available in the castle premises.

One of the most important sights in Denmark that you must not miss. The museum in the castle takes you far back in the Danish history. Just opposite the castle there is a new Library which is also worth visiting. Helsingør itself is also a nice town worth seeing.
The M/S Maritime Museum is a distinctive and contemporary underground museum located in a dry dock near Kronborg Slot. The museum showcases Denmark's seafaring history and culture through interactive multimedia galleries, as well as exhibits on sea charts, nautical instruments, wartime objects, and modern shipping containers. Additionally, the exhibitions explore topics such as sailors in popular culture, exploitation in overseas colonies, and global voyages of shipping containers.
Unique, interesting and informative! M/S is a great museum for all ages and tastes. Lots of good maritime information as well as explorations of culture, fashion and fun. The location is truly unique in an old drydock. Good view of this from the Cafe.

This place has lots to offer and there is a lovely section for children. One can learn about a variety of things such as the role women played, tattoos and instruments to facilitate navigation.
Another important aspect of this Museum to appreciate is the architecture. For example, as one ascends the staircase from the cafe, the views are alluring and I tried to capture the unique way in which this place is built in some of my photographs.
Before one gets to the exit, there are some wonderful model ships to see.

I found this museum to be very interesting, especially the first half, where they tell you about the sailors life. I must say, however, that this museum is oriented mostly to people that doesn't sail or that is not that familiar with sailing/maritime life.

Amazing architecture and reuse of the old shipyard! We spent a bit over an hour and a half here.
135kr is the ticket price. We thought it was free as we went in via the Cafe and never saw a ticket counter until leaving through the amazing gift shop.
We saw collections of Danish shop models and in particular a lot of fabulous interactive displays covering globalization, wartime and the best kids area i may have ever seen!
On display currently is the pearl divers from South Korea. Amazing cultural pearl (pun intended 😎)

They have a good collection. If you are really interested in maritime things then you can easily spent 1 day. If not and if you don't have the copenhagen card don't bother buying the tickets. I would recommend spending more time at the Kronborg Castle and then if you still have time take a walk round the castle, have a nice lunch take a stroll round the old city.

I absolutely LOVED this place and the funny thing is that I didn't know what to expect.
I knew Denmark was a country with maritine history but it's so rich and detailed that it makes for a very interesting museum.
Ships and the maritine life are both fascinating. Although I know it's not for everyone, if you have the time while in Helsingør I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by what this place has to offer
Alberto Nicanor Rosario Mendez — Google review
The architecture of this museum is A+++. How they have creatively converted an abandoned shipyard into a masterpiece inspiring. The cafe was one the highlights for me. Exposed concrete & rusted metal walls, high ceilings in a modern glass case. The salad was fresh & delish! 😋
Purva Merchant — Google review
A fun museum with a jumble of exhibits, all loosely focused on the sea. For example, there are lots of exhibits with model ships and explaining shipping, then there's exhibits about sailors in pop culture, and you can give yourself your own (non-permanent) sailor tattoo. There's an indoor play area that slants so that you feel like you're at sea, and they have sea chanty karaoke, including "what do you do with a drunken sailor." Then there's rotating exhibits, like one about Korean women free-divers who harvest food from the ocean floor. It's all iver the place! But it's fun, and it's a cool building built into an old dry dock. It's a good place to visit with kids, but stick together! It's easy to go in circles in there, looking for each other.
It's very nice place for families. So much funny things for kids. Some animals and playground. Nice!

The playground is fun for the little ones, but perhaps less so for bigger kids. Lots of farm animals, and a large herd of tame deer. Didn't try the zip-lines but the large course through the tree tops looks like it would be fantastic. Pricey though, at almost 400kr.

Incredible views! Easy walk that is dog friendly. There a bunch of trails to choose from but it’s a relatively short walk from the parking lot to the light house. There is a visitors center at the top with whale watching views. There is a replica of the old light house that was basically a flaming torch next to the newer more modern lighthouse. We did not find any mushrooms on our walk but we were looking.

Visitors can enjoy watching lifeguards train on the beach, making it a lively place to be. While the weather may impact the experience, Tylösand's natural beauty makes it worth visiting even during colder months.
Extremely beautiful beach great sand great parking was down there when the lifeguards were training and practising extremely good to watch them do their thing happy that they’re there The beach looks like it must be better on a sunny day but still cloudy Swedish weather day it is a very nice beach I would actually rated and compare it to an Australian beach it is a really really nice beach

Lovely beach with soft sand, beautiful view and enough space even when it is busy. There are some beach bars here and there and there are even toilets and showers.
(According to the locals, the sand is of better quality than that of Hawaii beach).
At the beginning of the beach you can sit on the rocks and further on you can play volleyball or football with the placed nets and goals.
The only drawback is that many jellyfish wash up later in the day, but if you watch out for this, it is a wonderful beach!

The weather was nice and the sunset was around 9pm-10pm. You must not miss the beautiful horizon!
The water was quite cold at first but then very refreshing. We met lots of jellyfish (not dangerous) and shell near the shore. The beach got a little crowded around 4pm-5pm (after work). These caused long queue to the only snackbar/kiosk nearby.

Where to start?? I will cover what I haven't seen in other reviews
1. Be there early. Preferably on a week day where hopefully the crowd will be less. We visited on a Tuesday from 3pm to 6pm and it was still crowded
2. Have a Swedish coin with you for the trolley. You can't do without a trolley.
3. Prepare to spend about 6 hours if that is your first time.
4. There was dinning inside, we ate at an buffet restaurant beside the Gekas, but we suspect the food would have been cheaper inside the Gekas. Like ikea dinning
5. There are other shops, outside and around Gekas. I.e outlet stores apart from Gekas. I visited only Panduro because I like arts and craft pieces. Prices were cheap but not a lot of options like a real panduro. Those stores might be worth visiting, which means an additional time apart from the 6hrs inside Gekas
6. There Is a hotel about 200metres from Gekas. Might be worth looking into spending the night as opposed to making it a day trip. One day just doenst seem enough to come all the way especially if it is your first time.

This is a Swedish institution! It is very big and it takes many hours to walk around here and look at goods!
Found asome cheap offersbut also many more expensive ones! Everything you can think of is here! People travel from far away to shop here! I dont understand that equation! Some things are cheap, but I don't see a cost saving to drive 30-40 miles, which in itself costs a lot too!
Lots of people and sometimes chaotic when you have to keep track of the shopping cart and your company and cruise around between hundreds of other shopping carts!
Efficient checkout lines! lots of places to eat, both inside the department store itself, and outside in connection to the building!

Chrisss — Google review
One big store where you can get almost everything. From food, toys, makeup, clothes and even plants. So if you like shopping and a lot of people in one place, this is perfect for you. Low prices. You can shop all day and get food inside the store while your cart is placed outside the cafe (inside the store). The store is in the midle of nowhere, so it's a long drive... But the sorrounding town of Ullared has hotels and restaurants. Unike shopping experience...

IF you get there e a r l y the check-out area can look like this!
But, it's more common to be in the line for about 1 hour...unless it's pay weekend, Christmas time and weekend!..then you should bring drinks and snacks!
It's a huge store. Huge. The hour will fly while you walk around department after department. A lot of useful things and good prices but also loads of less needed stuff! Dun, but less necessary. Stick to your list!
Just saw a battery driven Advent light w a remote control...Now THAT is taking everything sacred about Xmas to another level?
OK food and good prices.

After many years, I finally went to Ullared and i could say that it was hard. It's huge and really easy to get lost so make sure that at the entrance you take a map so you don't waste your time. This is not a place where i would go often, I don't like that much of a crowded place. Make sure you need to put a list and then go shopping, lots of things have got discounted prices from clothes to normal everyday stuff.

What a store, unbelievable experience!! Never thought such a store exists in Sweden. Never have I been to such a large store with so much different things! They literally have everything, outdoor furniture, shampoo, breads and soo much more! As a tourist you have to visit this place.

Crazy shopping. I entered without having anything needed to shop, but I ended up buying for 2k sek by just seeing crazy shopping by others.

Human remains from the Middle Ages & local history exhibits displayed in an ancient seaside fort.
Great experience, it has information in English and Swedish. It shows a lot of history about Varberg and Halland County. It was worth it buying the ticket and helpful staff who provided us with a discount for students.

A modest-sized museum with excellent and innovative displays. Make sure to see the bog man exhibition. Very helpful staff. Most legends are in Swedish. There is a very fine book shop with unusual publications on local history and a lovely cafe.

Here the remains of the old mud man mudgerd från mudbäck are displayed. You can see mud around his bones and also displayed in a special exhibition on the colours of mud. If you like mud you can by it in the museum's store. The store people can tell whatever you want to here about the purpose of this mud. Just tell them what you want to use it for, they'll repeat it then. Have fun and mud on!

Interesting and interactive museum which offers a lot to see. Temporary exhibitions, impressionist artwork, the history of Halland and the Bocksten Man are just a few of the things you can see here. This makes the entrance fee quite worthwhile.
English-style castle in early 20th-century decor, with landscaped park & gardens, plus guestrooms.
I loved visiting this place. It's a lot to it. You have second had, coffee/lunch place, a restaurant, beautiful garden, castle tour, coastal walk, old village and they even do plays there as well.
Worth a visit for sure! Very picturesque.

Beautiful place. It is a jewel. It doesn't matter if the sun is shining or the snow is falling it always feels like something magical.
It has a downside tho, I would advise checking the weather beforehand if you are to visit their Christmas market, I went on a rainy day and it was a bit painful because the market was in the open air.

If you’re within a couple hours from the location and like castles you won’t regret making time for this lovely spot . Ocean views , gardens that delight and so much more . The church and small homes on the property are also worth a short walk from the castle . One of them is decorated and open to the public . There’s a lovely church on the grounds as well . Coffee and fika available and a fantastic second hand shop too . It’s just fantastic !!

Amazing place for a walk (dogs included). Friendly people. I loved the fact that the steeping stones on almost every incline was uneven and using normal stones. Gives the impression they were layed there by the castles original inhabitants. As a medieval Fan, its a must if your in the area!

We got the guided tour this time. It was presented as a story of the first owner who built the castle between 1898 and 1904. Sadly the first owners passed before they could use the castle much. It's Sweden's 2nd youngest castle. Great place to visit with little hiking paths in the forest area near the castle. Beautiful after a rainy summer.

On a bike packing trip through Sweden along Kattegattleden, we stopped in to admire the mansion (easy to miss on the bike trail with little signage, but easy to find with Google maps of course). The grounds themselves are lovely with placards posted around to provide information about the history. We opted for a self-guided tour of the mansion interior. The host inside who greeted us was friendly and knowledgeable and provided booklets that contained a good amount of information and points of interest for each room. Overall, I found the history mildly interesting, and it was a digestible amount of information that left me feeling satisfied with the stop.

This castle would be a great place to spend a day exploring the history and architecture, while also enjoying the outdoors. The grounds are perfect for a leisurely stroll or a game of catch, and the forest is a great place to hike or have a picnic. This castle would be a fun and educational experience for the whole family.

Gothenburg Botanical Garden is a large botanical garden in the heart of Gothenburg, Sweden. With over 16,000 different species of plants, it's one of Scandinavias most popular attractions. The gardens offer a range of paths and greenhouses which are perfect to visit all year round.
Botaniska Trädgården i Göteborg. It's a botanical garden in Gothenburg with unique trees, flowers, birds, hills, waterfall, lake, greenhouse and an organic cafe. I had to wear a flower tiara to feel more in nature. :P
It's one of the best experience I've had in Gothenburg, Sweden. I just love this place. Best part is, the entry is absolutely free for everyone. :D
The area in total is 430 acres, of which most constitutes a nature reserve including the arboretum and here grow around 12,000 different species and cultivars in various parts of it. In the Greenhouses you will find about 4,000 various species and cultivars, including some 1,500 orchids, a remarkable travertine department and the rare Eastern Island Tree.

One of the best botanical gardens I must say. It's very vast and peaceful. Have hundreds of plant varieties from different countries. Also this place is hardly crowded at any season so one can have ample amount of time exploring the garden. Toilets are installed at the entrance gate which are easy t access.

I recently visited Gothenburg Botanical Garden during the second week of April, and its serene beauty blew me away. The entrance greeted me with various flowers, although some were still waiting to bloom. The well-designed layout and upcoming renovations to the greenhouse promised an even better experience in the future.
There is a shop near the entrance to buy souvenirs, seeds, and plants.
The free entry with an option to donate 30 SEK was a nice touch.
The peaceful environment, well-maintained pathways, and lush greenery made for a delightful stroll. The attention to detail in the garden's design and maintenance was evident.
I can't wait to witness the garden in full bloom during the peak season.

This is one of my favorite places in Gothenburg. I will for sure come back when it's summer time. They have different varieties of plants and flowers. You will be amazed how well maintained and well cared the plants are. You will enjoy reading the names of the plants and flowers and appreciate their beauty. It's such a big place so it's easy to spend whole day here. There's a trail that you can follow in the forest. We actually saw a red squirrel when we were here. It's very quite and such a relaxing place to take a short or long walk. They have a playground for your children as well. Such a perfect place for a Sunday picnic for the whole family. They also have a restaurant if you don't feel having a picnic here. You can also buy flowers and plants in the shop or they call it nursery. I actually bought different colors of tulips. This is one of the few places in Gothenburg that you shouldn't miss.
Ela Christensen — Google review
One of the gems of Göteborg. Rarely is this place overly crowded which makes it the perfect place to escape to.
The gardens themselves are beautiful and the whole place has a relaxing and calm vibe.
Tip: check out the viewing spot towards the back of the gardens. It's a little bit of a climb but it will give you phenomenal views over the west of the city.
Tip #2: Combine your visit with a trip to Slottskogen across the road. Especially if you have kids, as you can take them to the petting zoo and playground. Making this double combo a very cheap but memorable day out.

Perfect stay for family, singles, seniors, etc. When you come through the gate you find the toilets on the right side and the information and shop on the left. In the shop you can buy ice cream (this is a first stop for parents with kids). The garden ist full with lovely flowers and interesting and rare trees, like the japanese cake tree.
You can take your time and take the best walk of your life there. The air smells unbelievably good - even my kids were surprised. There are a lot of areas to rest and eat. A small restaurant is also in the garden (there are toilets too).

Lovely little restaurant here in the botanical guarden. A bit pricey though, so keep that in mind. However, you are of course paying for more than just the food. The Universeum science museum offers an interesting range of exhibits on a variety of scientific topics. It is a great place for kids to learn about the world around them, with touch tanks and exhibits that are easy to understand. The largest attraction is the Ocean Zone, which has an immense ocean tank populated by sharks and tropical species. There's also an indoor tropical rainforest, where you can spot colourful birds, sloths and monkeys on the branches above.
A big place with 6 floors of things to do for both adults and children. You need to buy your ticket in advance as it’s time specific entrance ticketing system. There’s an aquarium here, and many other things like a rain forest area, scientific games, AI related activities, planetarium, and many more.
Nader Hasawi — Google review
Amazing, I loved this place.
Although it is a bit expensive the aquarium, reptile zone and natural habitat were amazing but the science and space zones were very underwhelming.
As aquariums go, this aquarium was good with different fish and a "aquarium tunnel", the reptile zone was good but small.
The habitat was the best part of the universeum once you enter it you will be in this tropical environment with birds roaming around freely, and fish swimming in a pond like environment, from small piranhas to crocodiles and giant cat fish etc.
As for the space and health/chemistry they were underwhelming at best, the space one was just facts on a wall and i think the space part is only for kids, as for the health part also mostly for kids but more interactive, adults can enjoy some aspects of this as for the different mental exercises and fun challenges.
Overall I think it was an interesting place to spend 2-3 hours.

Really well laid out - the rainforest attraction winds all the way down the 5 accessible floors, with the outer areas to that serving homage and delight in various items such as space, underwater features and the Visilab which was the highlight of the entire museum.
It’s crown jewel for me was a huge sphere that you could change to replicate any of the planets on our solar system and walk round them.
Truly a unique take on visioning our planet and neighbouring ones, also very much loved the space Cinema with some really expansive shirt films.
Great way to spend half a day. Rain forest was beautiful too, rope bridges and Spiral stair cases were a great touch.

Be aware of time when arriving by car. Part of the area is in construction and you may find traffic or would need to find a parking spot.
Try to book in advance.
The museum is really worth it. Kids and adults enjoy it likewise.
There is a restaurant with great food. A couple of picnic areas.
The health exhibition seems not as updated as the rest of the museum.

I'd give this place fours stars just because when I visited the area focused on the scandinavian ecosystem was under renovation. This is a great science museum mostly for kids, although adults also can have a fun time here. The main part is probably the rain forest and my favorite animal was the sloth, so cute. In the aquarium you can fin lost of sharks. A great option to visit during winter.

You will not regret visiting this science center. The way all the different zones(Ocean, Reptile, Amazon reinforest, etc.;) they have arranged everything very beautifully. Educational zones like anatomy of human body, space zone are also the highlight of this science center. A very interesting science museum/mini ZOO/Aquarium. But mostly for Swedes rather than tourists. The entrance fee for students is a bit higher, but there are plenty of animals and plants to look at. I especially appreciate the nice lights for taking pictures and the very clean glass, you rarely see that. Also interesting is the 3D cinema, which is on the top floor where you start the tour. Just a shame it's all in testimony again. Online tickets work out cheaper.

Quite big science and nature museum. 7 floors. We tried the Wisedom too. It’s quite fun to see the 3D movie in a dom. But it’s really long queue at the restaurant so we waited very long time to get food. Also the big forest area is very warm and humid. I feel hard to breathe there. If you fancy cars and SAAB, this is the place to explore to get an insight into the history of this Swedish cooperation. A huge collection of special cars from the early beginning up to modern times. The development of this car manufacturer up trough the years is also carefully displayed on the walls with pictures and text. A big bonus is the huge car track in the museum where you can challenge yourself, friends and family with a model car race. Recommended!

Great way to experience the legacy of Saab, and to understand how important they were to Trollhättan.
Collection of ~120 cars with about half on display at any time. Very cool cutaways of cars and engines alike.
The museum isn't huge, and it would be difficult to spend more than an hour or two there without being an absolute nerd about every detail of some specific vehicle.
But I'd suggest seeing it. I enjoyed my visit. I left feeling sad. Saab deserved better than to be run into the ground by GM.

Well organised with a lot of nice stuff. Lot of concept models, lacks on newer models 9-5 sedan variations.
Lack on the history of SAAB’s trajectory, a BBC Top Gear SAAB special did a better job in that matter.
Surely worth the while visiting, you can have some nice souvenirs at the end as well.

A diverse, well displayed and interesting museum centrally located in what is otherwise a non-descript town. It's free to enter and there is plentiful and good value pay and display parking on its doorstep, toilets, a small restaurant and shop. I'd guess about 30% of the information is also in English, but the highly visual nature of many of the exhibitions makes this a good visit for kids, especially on a day the weather isn't all that great.

Very quiet despite being next to a large road. You really feel immersed in nature while you visit.

This place is lots of fun, definitely recommend visiting, especially if you’re interested in biology or have kids. The guides were amazing, lots of fun listening and talking about!
Definitely will visit again!

Amazing zoo experience, animals are well taken care of and get to have their own space not always in the spotlight. Great gift shop too!

Super nice place with a good reason for having animals enclosed. Highly recommended

Great day outdoors for kids. Good interactive learning opportunities. Either must be outstandingly good at spotting, or some of the wild animals were simply not in their places today. Nice educative feeding session with historic farm animals. Glad to get to charge car in the car park whilst visiting.

Nice to visit with both kids and adults, takes about 2 hours to go through the park in medium speed. Nice surroundings.
Laura Rastina — Google review
Normally a very nice zoo with large enclosures for the animals, the variety in animals isn't very big (mainly large cats). The downside to our visit where the park renovations, a warning was posted that they were renovating, but it wasn't mentioned that about half of the park is completely closed off. The barnyard animals were all in their inside enclosures and also not all there. I would recommend staying away until they are done, it's a bit of a waste of money at this point.

Place for endangered wild animals in nordic region. Vast zoo to roam. They have a big farm for kids to enjoy.
Mukesh Seetharaman — Google review
A limited and relevant number of birds, insects and animals presented through a fun if slightly strenuous walk. That it is run by a trust that works with endangered species makes it even better!
These are wild animals though so prepare for not seeing all of them, the red panda for example likes to stay in the top branches of a coniferous tree...
Great for both families and solitary explorers.
I will go here again most definitely.
Christian Löf — Google review
A little different from the usual zoo, with only endangered animal species. The effort and care for the animals is on another level. The feeling of visiting the animals a little more on their terms rather than ours makes it easier to appreciate the park.
Due to the current times the café was closed, so I recommend that you bring your own food. There are plenty of places to sit down and eat.
Tim Appelqvist — Google review
A fantastic animal park. The spaces the animals have to live in are significantly larger then usual. The variety of animals is impressive and the surroundings are gorgeous. Equally if not more impressive is the work done by the park to help endangered animals.
A great day out for the whole family bringing your own food and drinks is recommend and encouraged.
Added bonus is the covered parking area for guests with dogs.

Amazing little collection, great variety of cold climate cats!!! The snow while I was there also made it so beautiful. The food was really delicious too
Super interesting! I have been there 4 times and I love it!

Very interesting, nicely done. The guided tour (in English at 11.30 am and 2.30 pm) is very useful. If you are interested in the Age of Bronze, it’s a must stop. The guide refers to artefacts exposed in the National Museum of Copenhagen, where there is a big exhibition on the Age of Bronze. Good to know if you planned the trip to Scandinavia starting in Copenhagen

Unique. We came upon this place by chance and what a great experience. Museum consists of few sites of ancient rock carvings, plus bronze age village and exhibits. Also cafe and shop. Good for kids of almost every age and for adults too. Free!

Amazing place that need to be seen by anyone that has interest torwards history!!! These carvings are just so accessible , for most of them just along the roads...
It is just awesome thinking back to the peoples that carved these drawings...
Along these carvings... you've got this museum free with their nice little cafeteria and souvenir shop...
Right outside you can find the reproduction of an Bronze era village where you can just walk around and enter the buildings, and I'm pretty sure if you are lucky to go in the summer you'll be able to watch volunteers roleplaying and teaching you about the different activities back then.

The Vitlycke Museum's architecture is breathtaking and the displays are informative and insightful. It was awesome to learn more about the rock carvings that are so prevalent in this area.

We enjoyed your excebition a lot. So much to enjoy for children too.
Visiting the farm was a very good experience to get an idea and feel how it must have been to live in such a farm.
The gate we loved! Made with love clearly!
We had to travel a long time to get there and it was so much worth our while!!
And no entry fee was asked too!

Very good museum, well documented in Swedish/English/German, on the life at the Bronze Age in the region of Tanum! The open-air farm on the back is also quite nice.
Oh, and it's free! Tack så mycket! 🙌

It is an amazing place with Bronze Era rock art. Huge pictures on stone surfaces. A lot of places, big area. It is comparable with Alta Rock Art Museum in Norway. Really recommend to all people, especially for those, who likes such places. Be ready to walk long distances.
BTW, there is a good cafe)))
Unfortunately, they don't have mugs with stone pictures in their store)))

Wonderful museum and a collection of trails allowing to see the stone cravings. I did a 200 km detour on my way from Sweden to Norway to visit this place and was happy - they look just great in the real life. Also there’s a trail leading somewhere up in the mountain - I managed to find a pile of stones representing a market but there could be more interesting places to explore further. Great activity!

Excellent museum introducing the history, meanings and significance of the UNESCO heritage listed Tanum rock carvings. There is also a reconstructed Bronze Age village outside the museum showing how buildings from the era look like. Admission and parking are free. The cafe was closed for the winter season, so plan your meals before or after the visit. (We had lunch at the nearby Tanum Shopping Centre, a 5 minute drive away.)

Such a beautiful place. Red Granite Rocks everywhere. Gorgeous waters and views. Definitely worth it. I will for sure go back to experience this wonder.
Marine national park, established in 2009, with rare animals & seaweeds & protected coral reefs.
Such a gorgeous little island. Very easy to get the ferry to from Strönmstad and fairly cheap too. It was a beautiful hot summers day when I went. There was only 2 restaurants where we got off on the island (North Koster) One of the restaurants was actually a hot dog/pizza stall. So be warned. But it was lovely to walk around.

Nice beach, islands and too many wild birds.

Great place to hike around, beautiful sea and nice nature. Cute little red and white houses typical for Nordic countries.
I took a ferry going from Stromsund north harbour to north Koster Island, then went for a hike around ended in south harbour, took a cable ferry for 10 SEK to South Koster Island, had a really good meal (Lasagne) in a new restaurant, then hired around south Koster Island and took a ferry back from east part of the island back to Stromstund.

Beautiful islands with incredible beaches, hills and forests. Perfect for spending a day or even staying a little longer and exploring by foot. You can arrive at one ferry port and depart from another, so you can walk in pretty much any direction you want. Just be mindful of the time schedule.

Greate walkway after a short boat trip towards the Koster Island. A small paradise of you enjoy walking around the small island, watching and sharing it with the other tourists, travelers and the inhabitants.

Nord-Koster and the ocean surrounding it is a great experience. The trail around the Nord-Koster island has a lot of different micro-landscapes, a rich bird life, and nice view towards the ocean and the sunset if you choose the right time of day.

Ferry to the islands and back was 280 SEK but it was fun.
The island was quite nice with some wonderful scapes, a fantastic view and great trails to walk through.
But there are lots of tourists in the main season of course, that was a little too stressful at the ferrys and main points
Flix — Google review
Not our favourite national park, but at least good. We payed 280 SEK for the ferry (round trip means return ticket btw). The ferry goes approx. every 2 hours. It took 4 hours to go around the South Island where the most part consists of the National Park. The yellow way was not very interesting, the red one at the coast was beautiful and the mini coral reef is really worth looking. This was nr 17 of 30 national parks for us. We recommend Skulleskogen for a more natural coast area.

Don't go here to watch animals.. it's like normal island . Rent a electric cart roam all over the island.. ferry is good.. u will get all the things in island. U can rent bike or also can walk.

Beautiful and interesting historical fort, the walk is not difficult. Fantastic view of town. Can great place for a day picnic. Nice walk in surroundings.
There is a restaurant but check if that is open. The season might have impact on what you experience there.

Halden 🇳🇴🏞🏔🗺- The Fredriksten fortress covers an extensive area of 2,000 square meters (21,528 square feet) and contains storehouses, powder houses, bastions, and deep passageways. (Translated by Google) The historical center of the city. The modernity is mainly reminded of cars) Beautiful, interesting, unusual, atmospheric))) Frozen time. But a very small piece. Unfortunately, the museum was closed, although it should be working. But everything else was wonderful... quiet, calm, relaxing. (Ferries, a sea of ducks on the banks of the river, cannons sprinkled with snow, shops, cafes, parking spaces, friendly residents)...

Just nice to know that in this beautiful city full of history. (It's one of the oldest town in Norway) you can get to a free water taxi all year around... for FREE!! Yes exactly, the service payed by the council so why not taking advantage of it. It's just beautiful to navigate from the very center to the old town. Or one of the small islands... Just beautiful! A short stroll from the wharf you'll find a full-scale replica of the Saga Oseberg ship moored in the harbour. It was built to the original specifications using only tools available during the Viking era. Sadly you can't take a ride in it, as the boat is only taken out of its mooring for special events.

Tusenfryd
Amusement park
Water & Amusement Parks
Theme Parks
Amusement park with gentle family attractions & adrenaline kicks, plus gift shops & food options.
It was my second child's birthday, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The boys had a great time! However, I wanted to bring up a point regarding the activities available for kids who are below 110 cm, especially those around 95-100 cm. It seems that there aren't many options catered specifically to their height. It would be better to provide more attractions or activities that are suitable for these younger kids, considering that we pay the same amount for entrance tickets.
Novi Dwi Septiana — Google review
One of the most exciting places you can visit this summer season. Tusenfryd is located on a somewhat hillside that makes the rides even more exciting.
The rides are safe for children as well. I tried my best to ride all of them but was unable to coz of the queue.
Yes queue would be normal for a place like this but, it would seem that the staff are limited that makes the whole operation a little slow thus, the queue.
Or it could also be that they are double checking the safety of the folks riding before they hit that button that will send you off to stratosphere, which is cool too.

You're going to be waiting in line a really, reallyyyy long time. We went to the haunted weekend and spent 4+ hours waiting in lines. Waiting in line 4+ for 5 haunted houses, we bought the package with the discounted food and never got to it. The restaurant closed an hour before the park shut down.
You'd be better off going to an amusement park out of country in feire that handles crowds better.

Bored of daily routine. Looking for some great family time. The amusement park at Vinterbro in Norway about 20 KMs south of OSLO is the place to get rid of boredom and have value time with your family. The largest amusement park of Norway provides fun activities for everyone. Even the youngest in your family can expect fun filled attractions and rides. This is a unique thing about this park.
Visitors can avail discount on their Oslo pass.
Ubaid Ullah Hussaini Syed — Google review
Nice amusement park, has everything here for people of all shapes and sizes. Had a lot of fun with the family here and would recommend to visit absolutely. However, be aware that the lines can become extremely long and for the more popular rides (many of them), the wait time is in excess of 40 minutes. Not particularly fun when raining. Unfortunately there is no express type passes that can be purchased like in other amusement parks around Europe and the globe, but such is life. All in all, no complaints and had a nice day out.

Great theme park that caters to all ages. It had plenty of rides for my toddlers, as well as a large play area. For the adults the spin spider and speed monster were good adrenaline rushes and the zombie maze was a lot of fun. This is a great place to spend the whole day with the family

And ask when is the daily magic show on.

It's a wonderful park. So large that we couldn't cover it in one full day.
The queues are moderate to long for the good rides, but it's totally worth it.
My daughters (11 and 7) really enjoyed themselves as well as my wife and I. There is many options for different ages.
This is the best Theme park I've visited among those in Norway and Sweden.
I would definitely go back, frequently. I'm considering the season tickets.

Nice parks with so many strong hills. I feel like is not so wheelchair friendly.
Some of the rollercoaster were closed which I feel it was too bad regarding prices.
I would recommend to go during weekdays bc in the weekends is nearly impossible to be there without waiting for ages.
Lots of sugar and fast food inside and little sugar free/ healthy options.
You can bring your food which is a plus and staff are pretty friendly.
More kids rollercoaster thank grownups unes.
There’s a restaurant for pasta and pizza but to be honest didn’t look the best.
Some kids were not reaching the minimum height and still were passing which didn’t seem too nice.
And some rollercoaster were letting people go without making the line even tho it doesn’t exist fast pass in the park.
Nice to spend the day, and some of the rollercoaster re water so remember to bring a change bc you get wet.

It is great place to visit, but one thing I did not know, that is what little got me disappointed, Tusenfryd is full or rollercoasters , that is main attraction... If you are interested in other stuff, there is not too much what you can do, but rollercoasters are very big fun... And one more bad thing about this place it is incredible expensive... Every thing you want to try, buy, or think about is so expensive... People are very nice , and friendly...
