Fantastic place. We'll worth hiring boat and go round lake
Peter Miller — Google review
It’s a nice lake to look at, but not to swim in. Fist of all, it’s a challenge to find a nice place to enter the water without walking through a swamp. Secondly, the water is murky, smelly and shallow. I’m a huge fan of natural lakes but when here, I (unfortunately) preferred the touristic swimming pools.
Kristof De Maesschalck — Google review
Lake Trasimeno, Italy's fourth-largest lake, is a stream-fed body of water surrounded by vineyards, olive trees, and old castles. It offers freshwater fish and fishing, as well as all the water sports one can handle. With swimming-safe waters, a 50-kilometer bike path around the lake promoting exploration, and a natural park that encompasses the entire lake, this is a popular destination for nature enthusiasts.
If you want a very relaxing and laid back holiday in Italy then consider this area. Out of the madding crowd but close enough to roam Umbria, Tuscany and Lazio for those more adventurous types. Highly recommended.

We were enroute to Assisi and stopped at the lake for coffee. We were there early in the morning so it was lovely and quiet and we enjoyed the sculptures. A very pretty setting and it is a pity we did not have time to take the boat across to the island.
The tranquil Abbazia di SantAntimo is a Romanesque abbey located in a picturesque valley near Castelnuovo dellAbate and Montalcino. This historic gem of pale stone is definitely worth visiting for its serene beauty and scenic location.
Full of history and in a great location. Make sure you bring coins to pay for parking if you don't have the app. Also great shop where they make a lot of interesting alcoholic drinks and creams, tinctures etc

We wanted to visit here because of the Gregorian Chants. It’s posted all over the Internet that monks chanting daily. I contacted Abby to ask day/time we could see the monks chanting. They said that there are no longer monks chanting. See photo of out conversation below. It looks like a pretty spot. But we won’t be visiting because the Gregorian chants were the main reason we wanted to go there.

Gorgeous. The abbey and the countryside around it are beautiful. Highly recommend getting the audio guide and walking around- not sure who narrates in English, but in Italian one of the brothers does the narration and it's very interesting. Also the gift shop is great. Just be aware there might not be a working bathroom - stop at a bar in the town first if you're in need.

Truly beautiful Abbey. The electronic self guide is 7€ but we’ll worth the money. The view from the to of the Abbey is amazing. The shop is lovely too. We’ll worth an hour or two of your time for some valuable peace and tranquillity.

Unusually, this abbey is at the bottom of a valley instead of the top of a hill. Was built through pilgrim donations and a medicinal garden has been created behind the abbey. Toilet facilities are available for 50 cents, but don't ask for soap to wash your hands, the signora that looks after the little shop is extremely aggressive.

A quiet reprieve (so long as no tour buses are about) in a secluded piece of countryside just outside a walled village. A peaceful place to spend a few pensive moments.

The Abbey, a jewel of medieval mysticism. It is one of the most beautiful monuments in an ancient Roman style, which also has elements of the French and Lombardy styles.
Legend has it that the abbey was founded by Charles the Great in 781. The king and his army stopped here on the way back from Rome as the soldiers were afflicted by an unknown pestilence. An angel appeared to Charlemagne, telling him to make his men drink an infusion with a local herb. The cure worked and the army was saved so the king decided to build the church in gratitude.

The abbey was extremely powerful in the past, as it controlled the route from northern Europe to Rome. It is now open for visits, there is a very interesting pharmacy, as well as the church itself, Interesting to see.

Definitely the most beautiful abbey in Italy!
We've come here for at least 20 years. In the beginning there were almost no tourists.
Now the way down is paved, paid parking and there even is a shop at the top of the hill.....
But still it's the most beautiful abbey of Italy :-)
Try to stay for a service when you're here.

The Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Biagio is a 16th-century Catholic church that sits atop a hill overlooking the surrounding countryside. A path lined with cypress trees provides access to this domed structure. It is an impressive building that has stood for centuries, attracting visitors from far and wide who appreciate its architectural beauty and religious significance. Despite its age, the church remains well-preserved and continues to serve as an important place of worship for Catholics in the area.
Absolutely stunning. This was one of my favorite sites in our 2 week trip of Italy. Great spot for a photo shoot portrait.
Man N — Google review
In the heart of Tuscany, nestled among the rolling hills and vineyards, lies the Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Biagio. This ancient church is perched atop a hill, overlooking the quaint town of Montepulciano, and has been a place of pilgrimage and worship for centuries.
Legend has it that the sanctuary was built in the early 16th century after a shepherd boy had a vision of the Virgin Mary on this very spot. The boy claimed that she appeared to him in a bright light and spoke to him, telling him to build a church in her honor. The shepherd boy, along with the help of the townspeople, constructed the sanctuary, and it has been a sacred place ever since.
As you approach the sanctuary, the first thing you notice is the grand staircase leading up to the entrance. The steps are made of marble and adorned with intricate carvings of angels and saints. At the top of the staircase, two massive wooden doors stand tall, welcoming all who come to visit.
Once inside, the beauty of the sanctuary takes your breath away. The walls are painted in soft pastel colors, and the ceiling is adorned with elaborate frescoes depicting scenes from the Bible. The altar is the centerpiece of the church, with a statue of the Madonna di San Biagio standing proudly in the center. The statue is said to have miraculous healing powers, and many come to pray for loved ones who are sick or in need of help.
The sanctuary is also home to a small chapel, where visitors can light candles and offer prayers. The walls of the chapel are lined with small plaques, each one a testament to a prayer answered. The atmosphere is one of peace and tranquility, and it is easy to see why people come from all over the world to seek solace in this sacred place.
As you wander around the sanctuary, you can't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder. The intricate details of the architecture, the beautiful artwork, and the peaceful atmosphere all come together to create a truly special place. It is no wonder that the Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Biagio has become a popular destination for tourists and pilgrims alike.
As the sun sets over the Tuscan countryside, the sanctuary takes on a whole new level of beauty. The warm glow of the setting sun illuminates the church, making it look as if it is glowing from within. It is a sight that will stay with you forever.
The Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Biagio is not just a church; it is a sacred place that holds a special meaning for all who visit. It is a place of peace, hope, and faith, and it will continue to be a beacon of light for generations to come.

⛪ Nice church inside the nature. Breathtaking view.
The church, which was built between 1518 and 1540, an example of Renaissance Greek cross central plan, was designed by Antonio da Sangallo the Elder, who was inspired by the Basilica of Santa Maria delle Carceri in Prato, which had been designed years before by his brother Giuliano da Sangallo.[1] The same plan, taken from Filippo Brunelleschi's works, was used for the original design by Bramante and Michelangelo for St. Peter's Basilica, as well as for the church of Santa Maria della Consolazione in Todi, of uncertain paternity.
The late Renaissance building was constructed on the site of a pre-existing Palaeochristian pieve dedicated to St. Mary and subsequently to St. Blaise. In the early 16th century only remains existed of the pieve, including a wall with a fresco of Madonna with Child and St. Francis, from a 14th-century Sienese painter. The project was supported by Pope Leo X, who had studied under Angelo Poliziano, a native of Montepulciano.
The construction lasted until 1580 and, after Sangallo's death, was directed by other superintendents.
⛪ Doğanın içinde güzel bir klise. Nefes kesici bir manzarası var.

When the waitress brought the bill, our otherwise pleasant experience was ruined. It turned out that she had brought us a different wine tasting set than we had ordered, and obviously what she had brought us was significantly more expensive. The wines we tasted and the cheeses that accompanied the wines were good, but from a place that tries to present itself as an up-scale wine bar and wine shop, you don't expect such typical "how can we fool the tourist" trics.

Eremo Francescano “Le Celle”
In June we visited Cortona, we made a pilgrimage to visit Eremo Francescano “Le Celle”. The Hermitage is beautiful, situated on a steep valley with a stream running through the center. When we were there, the capers were starting to bloom. Capers grow anywhere from rock walls to open ground with a lot of sun exposure. Two monks were harvesting the capers and explained the entire process. These surroundings are beautiful and very peaceful, we enjoyed our visit. This was just another reason to visit Cortona the home of Frances Mayes, the author of Under the Tuscan Sun.

We were choked about how the lady at the desk talked to us and did not bother looking at us when asking questions. Maybe she was having a a bad day. The view is fantastic but that’s all they provide. The water was barely at 30 degrees (not 35+ like they advertise) which was quite unpleasant. The facilities really need cleaning and refurbish (toilet and shower) but above all, they need to train the host lady and maybe explain her the customers deserve be talked to like humans. Horrendous. Will definitely not return.

If you plan to die then only in this place with such views :D.
Room:
- The deluxe room is large and renovated. The bathroom is clean with no stone in the shower.
- In the room, of course, there is a TV, kettle, flip-flops, bathrobes, shampoo, shower gel.
- Overall the room is clean, soundproofed.
Service:
- Very nice until we were shocked very positive.
- We reported a problem because the TV did not work but it was replaced with a new one very quickly and for that a big plus :).
- Overall reception, restaurant smug and we will definitely return there.
Breakfast/Dinner:
- Breakfasts very good, a large selection of virtually everything you need. From fruits, to dairy, sweets, coffee/tea, maybe I would add a little bit of vegetables :)
- Dinners I highly recommend the half board option, as for a good price you get: starter, main course and dessert.
Hotel amenities:
- Thermal pools sensational and there are several of them.
- Tennis court available, bicycles for rent.
- There is also a sauna and a gym, as well as a spa.
HOWEVER, NOTHING BEATS THE VIEWS WE GET WHILE BEING ON THE HOTEL GROUNDS. THE OUTDOOR BEDS OVERLOOKING THE SKYLINE ARE SIMPLY SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL !
100% RECOMMEND

Review on spa facilities
Don’t waste your money, wouldn’t even give it 1star.
I have to say I was quite shocked and disappointed with the experience.
When we arrived we waited 30 minutes to be seen at the desk, once we got to the front we were told we were in wrong queue. This was an awful start and set the tone of the whole experience.
At this point we were told that no towels were left to hire, disappointing after what I had been informed by email prior to booking in advance. We were offered bath robes but told these were €18 per person.
When we got to the changing rooms firstly, they were so cramped and full of way too many ladies, we were pushed out the way while forced to undress in such a public area which was humiliating. Further to this it was absolutely filthy, the floor was full of hair, and dirty.
The walkways are also not being maintained and even with shoes on are very slippery and quite dangerous. I did not see any type of spa attendant during the whole day or anyone managing the cleanliness or tidyness of the changing rooms, I was told the gents changing rooms towel bin was overflowing and full of dirty towels ect.
The facilities themselves where also dirty and unkept.
During our visit we were stopped by a lifeguard and asked to use a towel and told we couldn’t walk down the corridor without one which was quite frankly insulting as we wanted towels but apparently this isn’t something this establishment could offer us.
Upon leaving, and re-entering the changing rooms, the showers were full of hair again, some large hairballs in the shower which were causing some severe drainage issues. The water in the shower was also freezing cold. The floor itself was covered in hair and water causing a slip hazard. I have attached a picture of the floor in the changing room.
When we left I did mention to the receptionist that the ladies changing facilities needed the attention of a cleaner and I was dismissed and ignored.
As someone who works in the industry and has done my whole career I would expect better, especially considering the high price point of spa entry and the fact people use the establishment as a destination and luxury experience.
I have raised these points via the email I used to make our reservation twice since our visit and have had no response.

Niels — Google review
We went for 1,5 hour at evening.
It was a nice place but….
They did not have anymore towels to rent at evening time.
The thermal pool outside was kind of cold.
It was complicated to order ticket online and nobody picked up the phone.
Michaela Bimanová — Google review
Overall we were very impressed during our stay, the design of the hotel and spa and landscaping of the grounds are well-thought out. The terme has incredible views and lots of places to sit and relax in the expansive gardens.
The food in both the cafe/bistro and restaurant was really excellent and very good value, the service in all areas was also excellent.
The spa treatments were good - but not great. My partner and I had identical treatments - but when described to each other they had substantial differences? Overall the spa experience is a little 'cool'. Probably an instant way to solve this would be for the therapists to introduce themselves when they collect you and ask if you have any special areas for attention, in this way they can make more of a personal connection to the client. It all felt a little robotic -
The bedrooms are beautifully renovated and our bathroom was large - comfortable bed and linens great quality. The only problem was the heat. It was boiling hot and impossible to control the temperature in the room even though there is a thermostat. And on the second night for some reason there was no hot water after 23.00?
Considering this is a very expensive place to visit, and is based on spending time in the spa/thermal pools a little more attention to your hotel guests wellbeing throughout the day would be welcome. For instance, whilst you provide complimentary tea adjacent to the hotel pool - there is no sugar/milk, and the hot water heater heats the water - but does not boil it so you never really get a proper cup of tea. Also at 1600 it would be a nice gesture to put out some cookies for hotel guests - they are made in house so would be no additional expense or inconvenience.
And the breakfast service - Whilst it has great potential if advertised to run to 10.00 should - with a full compliment of products available - not most things finished by 9.45am and difficulty in finding a clean table to sit at.
We had completed the digital hotel questionnaire that arrived after our stay outlining our thoughts and favourite parts of our visit - Once completed and sent there was no confirmation of receipt or message of thanks for completing the questionnaire - which is what prompted me to write this review.
The level of investment in this Spa Hotel is huge and whilst some things could have been better we had a great time and I'd still highly recommend you visit.

We are traveling from Chicago and stopped in, driving from Greve. Nestled in the hills, beautiful setting. We just stayed for a day trip using the pools and spa services. Nice pools of varying temperatures, but certain pools are hotel guest only. Spa services were great. One of the best Thermal spa that you can visit in Tuscany! They got one inside pool and three outdoors in which you can rest also in winter! Big thumb up to the restaurant, you can have there great pasta and natural wine!

It’s an amazing place to spend time with your partner or family and just relax. It’s in a great location with amazing view, nice restaurant and bar and great breakfast. You will enjoy a clean terme plus there are treatment options like various massages.
There are multiple terme in this facility. The best one is private to only hotel guests. I also tried the public ones, the public indoor terme was okay but the public outdoor was not warm enough.
Overall my only complaint was that even the private terme was not hot enough, I prefer terme to at least have one section with hot water.
We also tried two treatments. The service quality was pretty good.

I often come to these terme, but lately the quality of the place seems to be diminishing. The water wasn't especially warm on this last visit and it seemed quite dirty. Their pricing policy does not match what they offer

Its a beautiful beautiful place but the water is just not hot enough for me. There is one room where its the hottest but it was small and not enough water fountains of seats. I thought it was a little overpriced for the warm water

Via Terme S. Giovanni, 52, 53040 Rapolano Terme SI, Italy
Sprawling wellness complex with several outdoor & indoor pools, plus spa treatments & a restaurant.
Who likes the spa? I do, and in Italy they are called Terme. The most amazing scenery and relaxing time you could have spending the day with no worries and endless pools to choose. Each pool with a different variation of heat and water ingredients for your skins benefit. Highly recommend.
Giselle Romero — Google review
We visited in February under recommendation. The place itself looks okay, but I think it needs a lot of loving care to be brought up to date. The outdoor pool is very decent; the water is warm and soothing. Sulfur is present but not overwhelming. Overall, it was a good experience. My wife tried one of the other services offered, choosing the detoxing mud sauna. However, she was less than impressed. She described the experience as very impersonal and surgical, not as advertised when she purchased it (40 minutes for €50). We will definitely try the pools again, but we will be skeptical of some of the other services.

This is the place to be if you have a car and within an hour’s drive and looking for a Tuscan spring thermal experience. Yes, you can always go to a natural one off the side of the road, but that’s kinda gross. This one is clean. Has toilets and change rooms and lockers, has direct access into the thermal pool from inside the building so you don’t have to be in the wind, and a cafeteria to relax and chill out afterwards. 10/10 experience and will definitely come again.

Terme Antica Querciolaia is a beautiful spa located near Siena.
This spa is open in all seasons because some pools are outdoors and some indoors.
The water in the pools reaches up to 38 degrees Celsius and gives many benefits to the skin and the body.
There is also the possibility of doing other beneficial treatments in addition to the hot pools.
You can't bring your own food from home, unless you have any particular allergies, but inside the spa there is a restaurant and a bar.
In the bar you can eat very good sandwiches and salads.
In summer it's a very beautiful place surrounded by nature.

It was pretty good! We had sunbeds under an olive tree. The pools were warm and not very crowded.
Roxana Popescu — Google review
There are quite a few pools, two inside. However I expected the water to be much warmer. Other thermal spas heat the water if it's not very warm naturally. You have to bring your own towels. Also wear flip flops because everything is very wet around the pools. You can get a bathrobe and towel for a price. Bring a robe if you have one.
Betsy Land — Google review
We chose to visit Terme Antica Querciolaia as part of our week-long trip to Tuscany. It’s full of locals - not many tourists. The springs are warmer at the first outside pool. There is a small smell of sulfur but it washes out in their showers and we all felt very relaxed after spending just a couple of hours at this resort.
You can purchase towels and a bath robe for 10 Euros or you can bring your own. The changing rooms have lockers with keys and there are plenty of warm showers after you change out of your swimsuit.
There is a restaurant where you can purchase paninis and water or soft drinks. Put this on your list!

Clean, spacious, nice modern design. Strong sulphuric water. Lounge chairs amidst an olive garden.
They really should stop closing the outdoor waterfall well before the closing time. The lockers are cramped and not handy.

I booked the tickets online to make sure we have lounges in the shade. The website is a bit tricky, ie city tax number, just entered 16 digits ( random). Booked it for today. We arrived at 11am. No pb with our reservation. Plenty of spaces so not sure if booking is necessary. Nice and clean and relaxing. Receptionist was very helpful. Lots of locals. It is not a 5 star spa but as a treat before going home it is so relaxing. 2 euros for the locker ( refundable)
wear flip flop, crocs or water shoes. Food: vegan salad, vegetarian pasta. Huge portion for 10 euros. You can bring your own water and little snack. Free WiFi for our teenager daughter. Shade for the husband and hot pool for me. Everyone is happy.
Piazza Grande is a charming town square situated on a hillside, surrounded by an array of historic buildings. The B&B Hotel Arezzo, located just 3km from the city center, offers convenient access to this picturesque square and other attractions such as the Fortezza Medicea. Its strategic location also allows for easy exploration of nearby medieval cities like San Gimignano, Chianti, Siena, Montepulciano, and Montalcino.
This medieval Basilica is a beautiful, peaceful place of prayer dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi. The church has beautiful paintings by the two great artists of the Renaissance, Piero della Francesca and Bicci di Lorenzo. The admission is only allowed in timed intervals and is highly recommended if you want to see these magnificent works in peace.
Truly unique frescoes from Piero de la Francesco and a cross from Cimabue. A beautiful church. There is an entry fee to be paid.

Impressive historical church in the middle of the city center of Arezzo. You definitely will walk along this nice place and building when you pay a visit to Arezzo. We were here in September 2021, while it was not too crowded. We didn’t pay a visit to the inside because you can see the inside through a “door window”… .
Frank Vvk — Google review
This Basilica has being built in the 13th century and it is famous for the fresco on the wall by Piero dela Francesca. Visitors are allowed only for specific time , around 30 minutes, in the church and you have to buy a ticket before which costs 8 euro.
Panagiotis Varelas — Google review
Piero della Francesca was an Italian painter and mathematician, whose work - centered almost exclusively on religious subjects - exerted a strong influence on many Renaissance painters. he gained his reputation through his artistic representations in perspective and through geometric forms, as well as through the theoretical knowledge formulated in his writings. To its recognition were added very realistic elaboration of details, refined color palette and bold decorative solutions.
In 1452, Piero della Francesca receives the order for the decoration of the choir of the church of San Francesco in Arezzo, after which the cycle of paintings was born illustrating the most important episodes of the "Legend of the true cross", inspired by the story "The Legend of Gold" by Jacques de Voragine from the thirteenth century. The cycle contains six large scenes, three on each of the two sides of the chapel, as well as a group of smaller frescoes. The work on this monumental work will take many years, as the artist travels all the time and always accepts new orders. The fresco will be finished only between 1462-1466.

If i could give 0 stars I would.
The location is great, with a nice view from the window. But everything else is a disaster especially given that it is not cheap.
As mentioned by others, this is not a hotel. Just a place with a few rooms and the check-in is done in a nearby restaurant (this in itself is odd… one has to wait until the restaurant staff has time to be able to check-in).
With 36 degrees outside, the air conditioning does not work (!!!) Someone allegedly came down to try to fix it but it has failed and we were not informed. So it was a surprise to be back in the room to see that nothing had been fixed. So We were left to sleep in a boiling hot room… for that experience the customer should be paid for staying here rather than giving out even one cent.
On top of that the fridge also does not work.
Wifi works in the communal area but not in the room (at least on my phone).
Just avoid this place.
Mounir K. — Google review
It’s not actually a hotel, just rooms that are rented out (the hotel with which the rooms are associated is 1.5km away) - thus no pool, and no (working) wifi (vs what’s written in the google maps description )
Check-in is actually at 7pm only and it’s a hassle. No-one is there to do the check-in; when you call the number they tell you that you can either do it at the hotel 1.5km away or in a restaurant close by - just that the restaurant is closed all afternoon until 7pm. And they have no problem to let you wait / tell you “just one moment and someone will come”. We had to wait 1.5hours to do the check-in / get to the room.
None of it would have been a problem, if they had been honest about it upfront and let people plan around it
Once inside, the rooms are nice and the staff helpful (e.g. to let you store bicycles inside)

Right in the centre of the castle but very annoying if you come during the day and have to trek on foot to their other hotel for the keys. Could do with a kettle in the room

Unfortunately there was no hot water for our stay and no heating either. This was a great disappointment for us, especially as we had been walking the via Francigena and that day for 31km, having a warm shower and being able to dry clothes is very important.
We feel that even though we got a very small discount the price we paid of 80 euros is very high for a room that was nice, but without hot water or heating. After bringing this to the attention of the staff, we were promised that the heating and water would start to work after an hour. However even by the morning there was no hot water.
The staff and manager at Restaurant Remo from where we got the keys were very friendly and helpful.

The Palazzo dei Priori is a medieval civic building with a bell tower in Valdelsa Volterrana, Tuscany. It houses art and a fresco inside. The building was originally the residence of the podesta (chief magistrate) and later of the Florentine priori and commissari.

La Verna is a stunning Franciscan sanctuary situated on a lush cliffside with panoramic views. It is considered a significant pilgrimage destination as St Francis of Assisi reportedly received the stigmata here. The Corridoio delle Stimmate, adorned with contemporary frescoes depicting his life, leads to the Cappella delle Stimmate built in 1263 where he supposedly received the stigmata before passing away at age 44.

When i entered the church, one of Franciscan monk played the grand piano and I burst into tears without reason.
We didn't planned this visit on our journey, we were with our dog, which was not a problem everywhere outside. Please pay attention, there is about 5-7 degrees colder in this valley, we suggest to take jumper or jacket with you.

I am in the colonnaded corridor that leads to the grotto when the door to the chapel opens and the monks slowly move towards me in two rows through the corridor, singing. Their singing and the acoustics are overwhelming. When the group passed me after about two minutes, I was speechless...

Castello di Verrazzano is a castle and winery situated on a picturesque hillside. Guests can participate in cellar tours, Chianti tastings, and enjoy dining outdoors. The wine tour includes trying four wines with an entire meal consisting of meat and cheese plates, pasta, meats, potatoes, breads, cookies, apple cake, caffe and grapa. The tasting experience is excellent with staff that are friendly and accommodating.
Amazing winery, delicious wine, stunning views, good choice of wine and cheese. We were in normal Wine tour for 24 EUR. It was super curious, and 3 types of wine are amazing. I loved it. We've got there by bus, but it's a pretty difficult road from bus to the winery by walking (it's going up, it's baking, but the views are just amazing!). Of course going by car is the best way.
Highly recommend!

Stunning winery, amazing lunch and most importantly, wonderful Chianti wines! Our family enjoyed our visit very much, we had the lunch and wine tour package. The food was really very good, it was around 4-5 courses and we were already stuffed. For the price, it was very worth it. Unlimited wine tasting but by the 4th glass we were all quite red already. Loved their wine so much we shipped 24 bottles home 🤭
One word of caution is that the roads up to the winery is very winding and narrow (and 2-way!) requires some good driving skills to navigate!

We scheduled a full tour with wine tasting and light lunch at Verrazano. This was with about 12 other people. The tour was about 45 minutes and was very extensive taking you through the history of the property and owner as well as the wine making process. Lovely experience we had the tour of the cellars and gardens and the typical Sunday lunch.
We had friends visiting from Canada and we had the English tour.
We loved it a day we will remember !
Beautiful historical place and food very good and simple as should be in this place !
We loved it ! Thank you

We booked the wine tour and tasting for 2 adults and our 3 young kids at 10:30am. Catarina was our guide and she was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. We were in group of about 10, we were the only ones with kids and we felt included and welcomed. The tour was the perfect amount of time, it kept everyone engaged and we were able to see some of the wine making process along with the balsamic vinegar.
Afterwards we went to the tasting room and we’re able to taste 3 red wines and their balsamic on cheese (never had it this way and it was incredible). I highly recommend visiting and if you have young kids, don’t let that detour you from a stop.
My only recommendation would be for the property to think about offering a juice or something of the sort for the kids. You have to pay half price for kids 4 and older so a small glass of juice while the parents tasted would be appreciated. Water is provided at the table along with bread and olive oil.

We were a group of 12 adults and took a private winery tour, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience—beautiful scenic views. The wine is excellent, and they even ship it to the US. We ended up ordering over 36 bottles from them. If you are visiting, try the hor de vours and the balsamic vinegar. Recommended!!

We were lucky that the place is open on 26 Dec as most wineries only reopen on 28 Dec. The wine tour was extremely fun and interesting. The guide brought us around (around 30 mins) and we learnt about the history of the place, the area, Chianti Classico (vs Chianti). View from the place was absolutely stunning as well.
Ended the tour with the wine tasting which comes with 3 glasses of red wine, bread with olive oil, cheese and balsamic vinegar. Everything was great but the balsamic vinegar was definitely the highlight. Loved this place!

Visited during our trip through Tuscany. We randomly stopped here and didn’t have reservations but the staff was incredibly kind to accommodate us….even though it was close to their closing time. Even the owner stopped by to greet us….such a humble and friendly person! The wines were fabulous and the ambiance was just incredible. One of the most memorable experiences of our trip! Definitely on our list for our next Italy trip.

Via Castello di Verrazzano, 1, 50022 Greve in Chianti FI, Italy
Certaldo, a charming town in Tuscany, Italy, is located in the Metropolitan City of Florence. This medieval hamlet, dating back to the 12th-15th centuries, boasts well-preserved architecture and cobblestone streets lined with workshops, taverns, traditional restaurants, churches, and museums. Notably, during summer it hosts the renowned Mercantia Festival - an international street arts festival drawing numerous visitors.
Antinori nel Chianti Classico is an architecturally innovative winery located in the Tuscan hills. It blends seamlessly into its surroundings and offers cellar tours and tastings for visitors. The winery has been rated as one of the world's most beautiful, and it produces excellent but expensive wines. In addition to tastings, guests can also enjoy wine at the on-site restaurant.
Mind-blowing architecture, beautiful outside seating, impeccable service, mouthwatering food and outstanding wine. Couldn't have asked for a more special experience. The tours are fantastic as well! A must if you are in Tuscany.

Amazing architecture!
Need to make reservations for wine tasting and/or to eat at the restaurant.
We tried a few local wines which were really good.
Removing 1 star because we found the service to be extremely slow. We ordered a few vegetarian items off the menu & they were not that impressive.
The ambiance / architecture of this place was phenomenal.

The most beautiful winery I’ve ever seen. We had an interesting tour, a tasting, and a lunch. Everything was very professional. I reviewed it as 4 stars because I’m not a fan of their wines but I recommend it anyway. All wine lovers must visit it once.

This is a very fancy winery. It has been rated as one of the nicest in the world for how it looks. It is super modern and they produce good wines, and they are expensive. I did not do a tasting but explored the grounds before lunch and it was nice. The tastings run around 160€ so if you wanna do that be prepared. If you don’t wanna do that you can go to their restaurant and order some of their wines. Went in March and the vines were not in full bloom.
I would return.

If you are looking for a winery close to florence or highway to take pictures with vineyards with a cool background and new age architecture, this is your spot.
There is a restaurant on top floor that the people are super nice. You have to book a reservation beforehand. It is a different name then this Google spot, can see from maps, and book the reservation through there. Don’t try to use website for this place as hard to get info.
I do recommend coming to see place, have to take a shuttle in also and park around. It is a professional place, just realize before you come that it isn’t a small family owned winery.

We booked wine testing (the short tour with 3 wines) for a couple, like a month before we arrived. we wanted our friends (another couple with a baby) to join us but there were no more available places on the website for the time we booked. so I booked our friends a tasting on another day. I have send them an email and asked if it was possible we do it together and luckily they changed the reservation so that we can make it.
My point is - you should try to talk to them in advance.
The place is beautiful, wonderful architecture and the wines were good.
I liked the most the Chianti Classico they offered.
You can also buy a testing in the wine shop.
Great experience.

Absolutely amazing. The winery is stunning with breathtaking views. We weren’t able to do a tour but enjoyed the tasting room and restaurant upstairs. The restaurant was actually closed when we got up there but they allowed us to have some wine and then offered us a meat plate AND dessert. It was above and beyond and we were so grateful for their hospitality. We will be sure to book a tour next time we are in Florence!

Our lunch stop here turned out to be an unforgettable experience. The moment we set foot on the grounds, we were mesmerized by the stunning beauty surrounding us. The rolling hills stretched out before our eyes, offering a picturesque backdrop that seemed straight out of a painting.
The food and wine only heightened our enjoyment. Each dish was a delightful fusion of traditional Tuscan flavors and modern culinary expertise. From the fresh, locally sourced ingredients paired with a glass of exquisite Tuscan wine. Highly recommended.

Wow wow wow what a beautiful place and not as typical winery you would think it will look like in Italy. Beautiful designed building amazing light.
We did a small tasting and had were lucky to get a table at the restaurant with amazing red wine and some charcuterie and cheese.
Perfect trip from Florence.

The wine was good but the tour was not worth it. It was a 2 hour tour + tasting but the tour lasted the full two hours and droned on for a very long time. The tasting then felt very rushed at the end past the time limit. Our guide was also somewhat rude. The building is beautiful but I would recommend just doing a tasting here.

Amazing place architecturaly. Well done for vision and courage.
Poor for ease of access. It was a very wet day and we were not allowed to drop our passengers up at the entrance. We were directed to a distant car park and told a shuttle bus would collect us. There was only one small shuttle bus which could take 8 passengers. There were a lot of people waiting.
We had to set off walking in the rain which took us 20 minutes. When we got to the restaurant (very wet) we were told we were 20 minutes late! There was no help for the physically challenged. Food and wine was very good but pricey. We trudged back to the car park after lunch and the shuttle bus passed us on the way down with only 2 people in it and didn't stop to take some of us. One of our group had a problem knee and found it very difficult.
It is certainly an amazing place but they need to be more customer caring. Allow the driver to drop off their passengers. This would put less pressure on the shuttle bus and, also, please do something to enable access for wheelchair users and those who find walking difficult.

Tiania tour (the smallest one) was nice, but it felt a bit rushed. We've been to winery tours where the guide is way more passionate and excited about wine making. This felt a bit robotic. Given this is a very large and famous winery, I can see why. Overall, we were very impressed with the facilities.
The wine tasting was pretty standard. If you wanted additional tastings to the tour, you could pay for different sized pours.
It's a beautiful spot to visit, but you absolutely need to book months in advance. I'd go again to try their more expensive tours, but I wouldn't expect the family run vibe.

Antinori nel Chianti Classico offers a serene escape amidst the stunning landscapes of Tuscany, blending sustainable design with fine wines for a memorable experience. The tour, priced at 100€ per person, leads guests through meticulously designed spaces that meet high expectations. However, while the ambiance is enchanting, the tour experience lacks depth in information delivery, leaving some visitors wanting more engagement. Additionally, though the staff means well, service in the restaurant area can be slow, with prices slightly outweighing the perceived quality. Despite these hiccups, Antinori nel Chianti Classico remains a captivating retreat for wine lovers and design enthusiasts alike.

An incredible winery with the most incredible collection of wines and architecture. Make sure you book ahead for any of the tours, we unfortunately didn't get a chance, however the wine tasting was worth the trip alone. We took 4 bottles with us and the staff made sure to pack them up in boxes for our flight back, so were incredibly appreciative.

Unforgettable Experience at Antinori nel Chianti Classico Winery

We visited Antinori nel Chianti Classico in August 2023, it was one of the best experiences of our trip, is like stepping into a Tuscan dream. The wines were incredible, rich, flavorful, and utterly delicious. The winery itself is a masterpiece of architecture, seamlessly blending modern design with the traditional Tuscan landscape. The staff was so kind and attentive, ready to share their passion and knowledge with a smile. A visit here isn’t just about wine; it’s an experience you’ll remember forever.

We visited the winery in July of 2023, and had the best time. I would highly recommend booking far pin advance as its very hard to get a spot for a tour and tasting. We booked in the spring (approximately April) for a full experience tour and tasting + lunch.
The architecture is truly amazing, and almost transports you to another world. You arrive underneath the famous staircase, and then make your way up to the main lobby where you meet your guide and begin your tour. The full tour is about 1.5 - 2 hours where you get to see the different areas of the winery. The place is meticulously clean and well maintained, and the guides are knowledgeable and kind. After the tour, we were able to experience a small group tasting in one of their beautiful tasting rooms. We then made our way to the roof to have lunch (+ more wine) and their garden terrace restaurant. The food was delicious, and they were very generous with the wine at lunch!
I would highly recommend booking the first time slot of the day - we arrived at 10 am and toured with a group of approximately 10 people which allowed us to do our tasting in the beautiful small room overlooking the wine barrels. Other groups later in the day seemed to have double the amount of people included, so the wine tasting happened as more of a standing cocktail table affair, which wouldn’t have provided the same experience.

Wonderful wines and stunning architecture! Loved visiting it, even though it was expensive and the restaurant did not meet our expectations;( just come and see, don’t eat, just drink - plenty, it’s very good 👍
Even in Vietnam they serve their wines!!!

One of the best winery in the world. It’s quite impressive. Modern architecture design that allow natural lights through. The staircase is beautiful, elegant and grand. Outside there are variety of grape plants around the winery.
You need to book both the wine tour and restaurant months in advance.
Sendi Widjaja — Google review
While the breathtaking architecture will help enjoy the shop and wine tasting experience, the over the top building has to be paid for by something, and that is with overpriced wine. 18€ tasting for 1oz of 4 different bottles and tours from 45€ to 185€. Obviously the 45€ tour is never available, so you are pushed into the expensive experience.
The service by the gate guard and tasting staff were terrific, but the reception desk is an area to skip.
Come for the view and the architecture, don’t expect much else but overpriced wine.

I bought a bag and a pair of sunglasses last week. The sunglasses doesn’t have the case and cloth and the bag doesn’t have the controllato card. We already left Florence when I noticed it so we just called Gucci about it and they said we need to go back to The Mall, which is impossible because we’re leaving in a few days. I know they are experts and professional so I didn’t check the paper bag but I guess I’m wrong.

The Gucci outlet is good and the sales staffs are friendly and responsive. I made a few purchases at the outlet in Dec 2022. The minus is Gucci is using Planet as the tax refund payment service . I had Submitted the tax refunds form and validated at Milano airport tax custom on 24 Dec 2022. Till date, I still have not received any tax refund from Planet. Planet Customer service hotline is dead and no response when I email to the customer service. Gucci should seriously consider changing the tax refund payment service to Global blues which is fast in paying the tax refund .I had the refund within days.

Make sure you check what you bought before leaving the store. We bought a bag and the sales lady said she will get a brand new one from the backroom. We paid and left without checking. When we got back to our hotel, we checked the bag and found it was either a used one or defective one, where the leather on all 4 bottom corners were worn. We had to revisit the store the next day and got it exchanged.

(Translated by Google) Sometimes, reading other reviews, I wonder if we visited the same place. My family and I had a great time. Of course, the mini campsite has only 13 places, 4 of which are unsuitable for campers larger than 7 meters and the pitches are shaded only until late morning and starting from late afternoon, but we didn't suffer from the heat. Let's see the positive aspects... Cost of around €20 for 4 people + pitch in mid-August! Those who access the campsite can purchase a ticket costing €20 for 4 people valid for two days for access to the dam and ridracoli museum (shuttle included). Services included: loading and unloading, water on the pitch, electricity, 4 hot showers, 4 toilets, 6 sinks, 5 washbasins, 3 grill places and a pizza or bread oven, covered tables and benches, ample space for opening the awning, small play area for children. Everything available on just 13 pitches. What is missing?? I don't know... Swimming pool? Evening entertainment? Guided tour of the pyramids of Giza? :-)

Cosa manca?? Non saprei... Piscina? Animazione serale? Visita guidata alle piramidi di Giza? :-)

(Translated by Google) Unfortunately we thought that this camper area was also used as a campsite and instead not: having had the tent we did not sleep on the grass but on a hard and uncomfortable plastic net and we were not able to use electricity because it was mandatory to have an adapter for camper (the reception could not lend it). The cleanliness has really left us speechless because, just in the week of August, the cleaning of bathrooms and showers have never been done for more than 3 days and the garbage has never been emptied, even though the structure was almost full.
There are no bar or restaurant services within km and km and the camper area wi fi is only available in the reception, 200m away from the camper area. I would say NEVER AGAIN.
(Original)

It was only unfortunate that in some stores the clothes were not always neatly laid out/ on the floor.
In terms of shopping opportunities, there are numerous stores from shoes to clothes and even domotica.
After a day of shopping you can enjoy a quick bite at a fast food chain like KFC/MCD or at a restaurant!
Definitely worth a visit on a hot day because there is air conditioning inside.

The place is amazing in every way except for one.
It tends to be unorganized during the MotoGP, and you can only park your car really far away.
We have to walk 4.5 KM to reach our seats.
My advice would be to come few hours before the race or event you'd like to attend.

My dream came finally true. It was a great pleasure to be there for the 2023 Motogp race. It was extra pleasure that was a Ducati 1-2-3 podium.
Very good, convenient and informative infrastracture.
I would say it is the best place for motorcycle racing in the world.
The location, the atmosphere, everything was great.
I realy want to be there again!
P.s. The only negative was that there was too much traffic outside both when going and on leaving the track.
Shuttle buses where ok, but they disebark you 3 kilometers away from the track.

Really nice outlet! The shops façade look like Disney Main Street but in an italian way…
There is a creek that runs in the middle. There are some discounts but nothing too crazy.
You can find some american brands like GAP, Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, Polo Ralph Lauren.

the best McArthur outlet we've been if you consider the outlook. There is a small creek passing through the middle of the complex which makes it very pitoresque. The rest is the same, good stores, good prices, good food, a very well taken care outlet

A very nice restaurant with nice and comfy ambience. The waiters have very good service manner and provide hospitable service.
We ordered T-bone steak and all 6 of us liked the taste and texture much.
Other foods like the risotto, spaghetti and Italian wonton were also scrumptious.
We will definitely come again in our next visit to Florence/Firenze.

This is a complete outlet village built in a tuscan like style dedicated to shopping. You will find almost all famous brands. A lot of sitting spaces outside in the shadow is appreciated when it is hot. To complement , you have some restaurants to eat and drink. Have a bakery and a small commercial center there would be a plus.

A very large outlet north of Florence. It is huge, and one can spend a whole day here with a mix of shopping and playing areas for kids. There are restaurants on-site, too.

Make sure to plan your visit here on a sunny day as this is an open sky mall. This place is huge!!! and you need few good hours to spend here to find what you want. There are many places to eat and drink (not cheep) and Lots of parking space. Be sure your legs are ready to walk a lot...It is very organized, clean and spacious. You can find almost any store you and brand you like, with some time affordable prices and discount, some are not cheep. Personally, i wouldn't come here especially if it is not on my route to somewhere else (as we did). Feels a bit like an american mall by it's size. On the day we were visiting it was quiet empty and we couldn't see many locals there. If you are shopping lover, it is a nice experience :)

This outlet have many brands and you can find many things that you are looking for at reasonable prices. The parking is free and easy to reach to the outlet center on the way to Firenze/Bologna. I recommend to check it anyone. Columbia was good also adidas had interesting clearances.

according to the false advertisement in the Firenze S.M.N. rail station, you will arrive in 30 minutes there. In 30 minutes we didn't even leave the city also because it left late. not to mention that the return times are so bad, it either leaves you too little time for shopping or too much. :) and all this for "just" 13 euros
Totally recommended. It will take you in an ancient part of the city which is the true face of an Italian village with all the history.

Definitely worth a visit when in Montecatini terme. The town at the top of the hill is lovely. Pretty small, you'll need a couple of hours tops. The cable railway is great, takes about 15 mins to get up and down.

A fun and most definitely beautiful ride to the top of the mountain in Montecatini. It’s the easiest way to get to the top and relatively cheap also (€7,50 for a two way ticket). I recommend to take place in front of the cart as the view will be much better this way, compared to the inside of the cart.

The funicular was a classic old model that, as one would expect, moved real slowly. The view of the valley and the sunset as you are going up is superb. The temp was a tad cold but I would still recommend standing on the outside the back of the funicular to get a picture without being obstructed by the glass in the window for a very fine photo.
As for the old town of Montecatini, nothing that great. Most of the restaurants are overly priced and the service is just average at the one pizza place we went to. Not worth the ticket of the funicular if you are just going for dinner at a restaurant.

I was on a trip with friends to Montecatini - Terme, so we decided to visit Funicolare di Montecatini. It was an amazing experience, it was so much fun riding on the small train [cable car]. We enjoyed it. I would recommend visiting. You can buy tickets there, and they aren't expensive at all. Also, remember to bring your phone to take pictures of the breathtaking view :)
Beautiful experience, anybody who has a chance must visit!

Montecatini Alto, an ancient hill village overlooking Montecatini Terme, was sketched out in the late 18th century by Grand Duke Leopold of Lorraine. The town is seamlessly integrated into the landscape with a tree-lined avenue connecting the main spa buildings and a funicular built in 1898 providing access to Montecatini Alto. The area offers various accommodation options, from stylish Art Nouveau hotels to simple alberghi.
The Zoo of Pistoia is a revered animal park that features more than 400 animals and engages in education and conservation efforts. The zoo boasts a variety of creatures, including lynxes, bears, wolves, and giraffes. Moreover, the enclosure areas are shaded by trees, providing a comfortable environment for the animals while making it easier to spot them.
Very nice little zoo, many different animals.
I especially limed that comete zoo is in shade of trees. I am sure also animals appreciate that and it is easier to see them outside.
Lynx, bear, wolf, giraffe... There was no elephant and hippo, enclosures were empty.

This is a gem of a zoo, impeccably maintained, happy, clearly well-cared for animals in spacious habitats, charming staff - honestly can’t recommend it highly enough! Even without animals it would be a beautiful park to visit. Particularly in love with the elephant, tapir, capybara, penguins, meercats... We were fortunate to meet the zoo director and various members of his staff - deeply committed to animal welfare and educational programs. Definitely five star operation!!!

Good zoo with playground for children, reasonable price — some animals were either hard to find, well hidden, or currently unavailable but despite that family had a great day out, easy to get to from main roads with a car, restaurant on site opened at 12.

This is a smaller zoo, we paid kn the day and arrived early so.were.few people in the park. Clear map and layout is on a holl but easy walking and fine for buggies and small walking children. My children both enjoyed the time spent there.

A really nice zoo with a lot of animals. Reasonable entry price although we could have saved by booking in advance. Plenty of free parking which is always welcome.
Only niggle was a few empty enclosures and/or animals impossible to see. I know this is to be expected but it still disappoints. A bonus was that the gift shop was closed which saved me money! We did visit mid week in October.
Overall well worth a visit.

Nice zoo to visit and as an escape from the city. There are many animal species from large ones to smaller ones including various insects, and its quite well kept. Afaik there is no public transport to reach, though there is large parking if you arrive by car. I went on a hot summer day and it wasn’t crowded. There is also petting area with goats, sheep, pony etc… there is a restaurant / cafe and a gift shop inside but i didnt check the prices. Full tickets is 16€ and reservation is mandatory but its easy to do online and there is usually free slots.
Murat Afsar — Google review
A wonderful zoo! It is indeed not very big, but you can easily spend 3-4 hours here, like we did. There is a lot of shade, which is important on a hot summer day.
A nice playground for children.
We loved the variety of animals and how everything is arranged.
Make sure you have comfortable shoes, as the zoo is on the hill and you will need to walk up and down a lot. But it's doable even with small children and a stroller!

We visited in the morning and although animals such as the bears, wolves etc were still in their bed, the kids (2&4) had a blast- as did we.
The park is not too large and has lots of opportunities to stop and play in the playgrounds or for a bite to eat.
The kids particularly enjoyed seeing the guinea pigs and their babies.

Am amazing zoo experience !!
Loved animals so wanted to go to this zoo whilst we were in Italy. The zoo was a perfect size, it wasn’t too large to walk around but not to small either. The animals had lovely enclosures with lots of greenery and space for the animals. The zoo didn’t feel run down, it was clean and had lots of nice natural shade on this particular sunny day ! There was an amazing range of animals and I even got to see my favourite, Capybaras, which cannot be found in UK zoos, so that was cool !! The giftshop was nice too where I bough a cute Guinea pig stuffed animal. I’d recommend seeing the Guinea pigs, they were adorable !

The park is in a desolate and terrible condition. The animals have hardly any space and whats worst: the health of the animals is alarming. The ostrich hardly has any feathers left, is bleeding and looks sick. A report has been made to the responsible veterinary authority - hopefully at least they will feel responsible for the animals well beeing if the zoo is not. It is awful and cruel.

Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari is a renowned racing track that has hosted Grand Prix until 2006. Presently, this historical temple of racing hosts regular car and bike events. The circuit offers several attractions like the Senna statue and museum, making it an excellent location to visit. The atmosphere at the Rivazza curve with cheering tifosi is incredible. Only one section of the track can be accessed by foot.
Very nice place to visit. The guided tour was amazing. The staff is also incredible. Strongly recommended. And please: visit Ayrton Senna memorial and bring your own flag to hang on the fence.

been here for race day on 24th of April 2022 and all around the track was pure mud. I get it that it was raining and there is grass all around, but it costs nothing to place some wooden platforms so people can at least walk.
Our seats were in Curva Acque Minerali, and I reached out to the event organisers ahead of time to ask if there was any way to get support for my dad who can't walk properly ( he's not bound to a wheelchair but has mobility issues ) and I was told there was no kind of help provided whatsoever. So we walked, slowly and calmly, under the rain and in the mud all the way to our seats. THE SEATS! they're just a piece of plastic with no backrest on incredibly steep platforms and only a couple ways up, where there is no organisation, no attention from the employees, people argue over which seating they have and try to kick each other out of spots because there is no proper indication of which area is which. To leave your spot once you've sat down means you might not find it free when you're back because plenty of people with the "circular ticket" which doesn't grant a spot just sit wherever they want, and if you ask for the staff to help you remove them ( especially if you don't speak the local language ) you'll receive 0 help. Needless to say to get my dad up there and down from there was like a Mission Impossible movie - luckily fans were nice enough to help.
Finally, the situation outside the track was bonkers - I've been in GPs all around and this was pure mayhem. I am italian myself so I expected the chaos, but this was just insanity - fully packed parking lots, no mapping, no signage, no way to know where you need to go. On the way out, I don't even want to think about it cause I get PTSD. Any information provided on the website was basically fake and misleading.
I won't even go deep on silly checkpoints where you'd be fakely checked on your vaccination status by a 18 year old whose smartphone wasn't working, but then you'd be required to remove the caps from your water bottles... which they also sell inside with caps!?
what to say? for the price you pay I would have expected something different. I never expected it to be dreamworld, cause I know on race day especially situations get chaotic and packed and need patience, but the facilities are from tens of years old and never got an upgrade and it shows - this could have been acceptable when the Autodromo was first built, nowaday it just feels like they want to get the most money out of you without providing more than an essential service.
the race was great, drivers were insanely good with wet asphalt and overall it was a great day for the sport ( although no Ferrari podium ) but Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari really really really need to step up their game.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Imola racetrack in Italy and I have to say it was an absolutely incredible experience. The track itself is world-class and the attention to detail is truly remarkable.
The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the track and the sport in general, which made my experience even more enjoyable. I was blown away by the history of the track, it has hosted some of the most iconic races in motorsport history and you can feel that energy when you're there.
But it's not just the track that sets Imola apart, the facilities are top-notch, with comfortable grandstands, clean restrooms, and plenty of food and drink options available. The grounds are beautifully maintained and there is plenty of parking available, which made my experience hassle-free.
Overall, I would highly recommend Imola racetrack to anyone interested in motorsport. The combination of a world-class track, knowledgeable staff, and excellent facilities make for an unforgettable experience. I can't wait to go back!

Rocchetta Mattei is a restored 19th-century count's castle located in the Bolognese Mountains. Built by Count Cesare Mattei, it boasts a whimsical mix of Moorish, medieval, and Italian architectural styles. Visitors can explore the palace during weekend visits and enjoy concerts, exhibitions, and events. The tour provides interesting and thorough information about the history and architecture of the castle. However, some visitors feel that the guided tour is too short and strictly timed.
Beautiful architecture and a splendid collection of old musical instruments. All visits are guided, helping a lot in understanding the incredible and mysterious history of the place. Highly recommended.

Located in the outskirts of the metropolitan city of Bologna in the little town of Riola. Amazing views and a truly magnificent structure ritch with history and interesting backstories about it's founder and tenet. A place not to miss if you happen to have some time on your hands and want to explore places around Bologna. Easily accessible by train or by car. If you happen to chose the train you can easily get one from Bologna Central station, you then need to get off at Riola station from which the Rocchetta is just a few minutes by foot up a hill (not too steep).

A beautiful, masmarising palazzo. The 4/5 are due to visits enabled only with a tourguide and tickets must be booked weeks prior. The info given on the tour was interesting and thorough, with that said, it was laconic and a bit too short (1 h) and very strictly timed in order to avoid laps with other groups.. therfore no time was given to immerse in the scenery of each spot, it was stop-losten-go to next stop sort of tour... the experience could have been more powerful and worthwhile with more time and a more interactive, mindful tourguide.

Visually stimulating place in a beautiful locale, with bizarre, fantastical architecture. Be warned though; Unless you want to walk up a long, narrow country road up hill in the sun, you are intirely at the mercy of a bus service that stops about 3 times a day and not at any time that aligners with the castle's admission hours. There is also nowhere to wait once you are up there. Again, the actual place is very interesting but, unless you have a car, you NEED to plan in advance or risk bring stranded in the middle of nowhere.
