Elia Mykonos Resort by the Sea is a casual beachfront hotel with bright accommodations and an open-air bar. The restaurant serves delicious food, including an excellent Greek salad, pasta, shrimp, burgers, and more. The hotel is located on Elia Beach which is known for its popularity among nudists so visitors should be aware and respectful of others' privacy. The beach itself has golden sands, clear waters, and cool breezes making it a great place to spend the day.
The most amazing place to stay while in Mykonos. The hosts we're super friendly and accommodating, they had the best breakfast, always with freshly baked food and a chef to make you delicious crepes and eggs on the spot.
The also really well situated right next to the beach and have a pool at the resort as well. The cleaning ladies were super nice and would do a fantastic job, while we were away. On a scale 1 to 10 these guys are a 100, would definitely book again if I get the chance to come to Greece again.

Beautifully designed and stylish Greek boutique style hotel. Great for relaxing - the hotel is one of the few hotels that has a beautiful sandy hotel beach and a lovely designed pool area. Plus great service - we especially liked Eva from the reception, the driver George and the restaurant staff. Thank you for a lovely stay, we will be happy to come back again :)

this hotel was a great find! The location is perfect; atmosphere on the beach but not noisy. The hotel is stunning, the staff are excellent (the the owner being always around, working along with his staff , who all spoke very highly of him). The hotel and all around is spotless. Cant recommend this place enough
Rob Clark — Google review
The restaurant has the best Greek salad. I tried at least 8 different restaurants and this was the best. Everything we ate was outstanding from the pasta and shrimp to the Burger to the Greek salad, etc. The service was excellent. The view is phenomenal, right on the beach. The cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen, there's an attendant who is immaculate in her work- she is there every minute of each day we visited.

I am a big fan of this resort, the staff, and the location as it provides easy access to the beach and has great chairs setup with prompt service. I do have point out that depending on the type of beach you are used to, this could be sub par. The sand is a bit pebbly, but still better than paradise or super paradise beach. If you’re expecting a Caribbean beach with soft white sand and warm water, you’re going to be disappointed. Nonetheless, the views are great but water a bit cold in June.
Scott Bateman — Google review
We went to the beach there, and had lunch at the resort. The beach was amazing and the food was very good. I would definitely recommend it if you are in the area.
Rob Townsley — Google review
Just visited the beach. Used the Elia Resort sun beds in late August (€70 per set which is average for Mykonos) but the service was very good. Gay friendly, further down the beach there is another gay friendly sun bed area and nudist beach.

Fantastic resort on an excellent beach! Staff at this hotel go above and beyond for their guests, it's a family run hotel that clearly takes an interest in their visitors and they provide superb service. The location is awesome and the property takes advantage of it with an open air restaurant that serves great food. There are sun beds for lazing around on the beach and the water is calm in this protected harbor. New property, the rooms are modern and super comfortable. Highly recommended!

This was an excursion from Royal Caribbean. The amenities were very nice, but 50 euro to use the chaise lounges was ridiculously expensive. Most places charge nothing if you order food or drinks.
Winds were high so everything was sandblasted. The closer to the waters edge the more sandblasting.
We ate at the restaurant, food was very good. Nicest and cheapest place to sun at the beach. 😕
Mini Martha — Google review
We came here from Disney cruise ship.
The service we received was EXCELLENT. Very friendly, so attentive without getting in you face. Everything prompt and to a high standard.
Quality of the sun beds ( with sun shade) is excellent.
A really great day.

We just booked transfer and beach chairs with this hotel, for half a day on their beach. They are about 30' by car from the old port (where cruise ships dock). High end hotel, right on the beach, lovely staff. Everything went smoothly and we enjoyed our time there. We ate at their terrace as well - great place and good food.
Hermina Condei — Google review
It is a tiny bit pricey, but there are buttons at the chairs (35 euro/per bed) to get beachside service for food and drink, showers, clean and nice smelling bathrooms, and really great food and drink. We took a beach transfer from our cruise, which left at 1 o'clock, but we wanted to stay later and the City bus came by at 3:05. The city bus was 3.50 Euros per person back to the port. Highly recommend. I would like to come back and stay at the resort. Gorgeous water. Friendly people.

This lovely resort was our stop during our tour. Unfortunately, we only had 1 hour to look around. Our party of 9 had a delicious late lunch. The service, food, and views were fabulous! The personable staff made sure we would make it to our bus in time. Thank you again!! Next time we are in Mykonos we will definitely come back. 😊
RJ Wilds — Google review
Great little hotel very close to the port. It was very clean and the staff was helpful and prompt. About 30 minutes walk from Mykonos downtown. My only beef was that they tried to be fancy and make a shower with no shower door. Guess what happens.... The whole bathroom floor gets wet and has stayed wet for my whole stay. Because of the high humidity here, I has not dried out
Ryan Gettleman — Google review
We did a beach day here when our cruise docked for the day in Mikanos. Such a beautiful beach, pristine sands, rent a lounger and get 1st class service straight to where you are chilling on the beach.
The Paradise Beach Resort is a buzzing beachfront resort with a buffet restaurant, a bar and coffee shop. It is most popular on the island for its endless nightlife and attracts A-list celebrities. The beach has some of the best nightspots on Mykonos, with open-aired Cavo Paradiso hosting DJs including David Guetta, Steve Aoki and Armin van Buuren.
The rentals are a little costly but worth the comfort. There didn't seem to be a time limit and there was no requirement to purchase food or beverages. It doesn't get deep really quickly and I scored some great sea glass!! Being off season, it was pretty quiet. We took the bus from Fabrika sq. It stopped right at the beach and we entered through the Tropicana.
Michelle Skinner — Google review
Great party beach. They have a large buy one get one free drink list, dance music and platforms to dance on. Lots of VIP booths. Just be careful how much you drink, it's a bit of a walk and the bus brings you back to town, then you need another bus back to where you are staying.
Christine Scotti — Google review
We spend a few hours in April. Only bar was open and a few items to eat. Surprisingly drinks were not very expensive (for Santorini). They were preparing the place to open it in May. But at least we could spend a windy day under the sun having a few drinks.
Service was kind of slow.
Inigo Rodriguez — Google review
One of the most famous beaches in Myknos.
The reviews here are not very accurate if you are visiting in October. The free area fits around 100 people. Its not that small. This means if you dont need sunbeds or cabinets you can sit for free, the prices for such are in one of photos i uploaded. Regarding the weather it was a bit windy, not too much sun but acceptable.
Regarding bars, there is around 4 or 5 bars, at night with music and drinks and so on. The drinks start at 12 euros, however one of them had an offer 2 cocktails for the price of one.
However overall experience, it is a bit overrated if you are not visiting in the high season.
Transportation to the beach is through the bus, which stays available till 12am ( party till 2 am)
Jawad Almasarweh — Google review
The bay is beautiful and quite clear Sea water.
The only problem is the lack of free space if you don't want to hire a sunbed. On the whole location is beautiful in particular if you wanna get a drink and dance already at 17.00 !!!!!! It's a must-see place for all party goers!!!!!
Ezio Accaputo — Google review
Great beach if you’re looking to party hard!
It is quiet crowded to say the least.
There are two different bars and a few restaurants for you to enjoy at.
We stayed for about 20-30 minutes so can’t say much but definitely nice if you’re part of a young crowd looking to have fun!
Erika Singh — Google review
This is a beautiful location. Nice seating areas. You can rent very comfy lounge chairs on the beach but quite costly. The pizza was amazing. The only thing I didn't love was how painful the gravel beach was, but my feet are tender.
Lisa Roberts — Google review
Beautiful landscape, lots of water sports, expensive beach clubs. Large majority of people who look like models, movie stars, or both. Only a couple small aeas of public space. Very rocky sand. Sea life (probably anemones) that sting. There's gotta be better spots for people on budgets, families, and/or non model types.
Rusty Marquis — Google review
On one hand a tourist trap. It costs 100-80€ to sit on the beach with two lounge chairs and an umbrella and 50€ for the bar poolside and you don’t have the option to sit elsewhere unless you’re on the rocks or a towel in the corner. On only 4 drinks we spent around 70€. On the other hand, the sea water pool and DJ were amazing. In the end I didn’t want to leave but the boat leaves at 15:30 just went the party’s getting started.

Very Nice sandy beach. Crystal clear water. Facility to do some water activities. One can reach by public transport bus from mykonos bus station.

One of many beautiful places and beaches in Mykonos, visit the resort and restaurant, they are to die for, beautiful people, it's a dream.
Just, don't forget to wear water shoes with rubber bottoms, you will most definitely need them
Gunther Luken — Google review
The well-known Paradise Beach in Mykonos... It's beautifully appointed, but it's on the higher end of the budget, quite expensive.
Diana Babolea — Google review
Cost of sun beds somewhat exorbitant. Cheapest 25 Euros. Beach somewhat ordinary on international standards. No waves and pebbles actually tough on feet. Facilities very fast food like and not the standard I was expecting. Facilities okay but couldn't find a shower.
Over rated and touristy.
From Australia so spoilt for choice of beaches that are all free!!
The Eclipse Seaside Restaurant is a relaxed establishment with spectacular sea views. They serve a blend of local and Italian cuisine, including pasta, pizza, seafood, and an extensive selection of wine. The beach that the restaurant overlooks is stunningly beautiful and ideal for swimming and sunbathing. The water is crystal clear, allowing you to see the sea floor easily. There's a natural rocky platform that extends outward for several meters before dropping off into deeper waters.
For those who have been scamed on the beach. The restaurant is called dk oyster and is reputed for these kind of things. Sorry for the owner of this restaurant who has suffered because of this.
carlos castano — Google review
Absolute scam. This is a place that all tourist should stay away from. If you Google the name of this restaurant you will find that hundreds of tourists have been scammed out of large amounts of money. They overcharge (were talking towards 1000 euros for 2 drinks and a snack plate) , then they threaten with violence of you dispute the bill

Breakfasts are delicious, but food during the day is not so good. Waiter in the afternoon - evening was very nice and made our meals very pleasant
Florencia Mathe — Google review
This is a scam, they try to get you to order without seeing the menu. Minimum cost for a drink (including soft drink) is €35 euro. All cocktails are €58. Food is also ridiculously priced - see pic below, Greek salad is €28
Bridget — Google review
This place is run by a group of grifters. Was charged 70 euros for a bloody mary. Repeatedly asked for drink menu and refused. They were about to charge us 280 euros for lobster pasta that was listed at 23 euros and served it cold and the lobster was worse than leather. They acted like they were doing us a favor when they knocked the price to 150 euros. The only plus to this restaurant was the chairs and the location but not worth feeling scammed. Next door seemed like a more legit operation with menus and transparent honest communication.
Laura Wallace — Google review
Very nice beach for couples and families... The beach is very nice with crystal clear water and sandy bed.
There are many beach clubs offering sun loungers and umbrellas. The price range for two loungers and one umbrella can vary from 20 euros to 50 euros depending on the beach club (old or new) and proximity to the water. We stayed at Dove beach club on the front row for 50 euros.
However you can simply enter the beach free of charge, put your towel on the sand, and enjoy the full day without paying anything.
What is annoying on the beach are the street vendors going back and forth trying so sell you various kind of merchandise.
This beach is good for families with kids. We saw many with their kids.
There is also a small parking area which you can use free of charge if you arrive early.
Saeed Nakhal — Google review
A very beautiful beach which is excellent for swimming and sunbathing. The water is very clear and can easily see the sea floor. It has a natural rocky platform which is shallow for a few metres . Just 1 step out of the rocky platform and the water becomes deep and you won't reach the sea floor. There are some bars and cafes right on the beach which offers beach beds and umbrellas.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! If you like poor quality food and drinks and prices that will make you feel like you have to remortgage your house, then feel free to visit, otherwise do NOT visit here! Hundreds of Euros for a few poor quality snacks and drinks - daylight robbery!!! Devious staff who avoid giving menus out (and even if they do, the final prices differ from what is printed!). Do not use their loungers or equipment, and do not engage with their devious staff. Read other reviews too - vile place and vile people.

Scam!!! They sold us 2 pina coladas without seeing the menu when we went to pay it was 70€. When we told them that was ridiculous their first impulse was to call the police. We paid because we are on vacation and didn't want any trouble. But we strongly recommend to Not Go Here!!!!!
Jimmy Heffner — Google review
They promise « free sunbeds » if you take cocktails for 60€ per person ! The waiters don’t want to show the menu to the client. But they don’t know that I usually need a half an hour to choose my cocktail so I took the menu and I saw all their prices.

Beautiful sandy beach. Crystal clear blue water. Outstanding yachts. Beautiful sexy people. Delicious food and drinks.
Benjamin Gromicko — Google review
Be careful here - As a Greek I promise you that you will find welcoming, charming and good-hearted people, serving authentic food and providing quality service, which is worth every single cent, on Mykonos island and beyond. This place though actively scams people and it's deeply rooted in their mindset and business model, as they did to friends of mine recently. Walk pass, support and enjoy the work of honest people, and enjoy your vacations in the land of hospitality!
Christos — Google review
This is one of the worst rip-off restaurant in the world. Be sure to ask to see the price list before ordering. Be very careful, the waitress lies and tries to sell you simple goods at totally overpriced prices. There is a system to this. This restaurant is a disgrace to Greece.

Nice relaxed beach with a large area. Has numerous bars and restaurants which provide quality service. Music is not loud and disturbing. The sea is very clean. Would definitey like to come here again. We bunked next to the restaurant Anios where one parasol and 2 sunbeds cost 20€ for the day, cocktails 13€, beers 5-7€.
Erdem Doğan — Google review
THE BIGGEST SCAM ON EARTH AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!! My friend and I walked past this beach club and were convinced to come in as it was ‘free’ we only had to order one drink. We were not given any menus after requesting multiple times, the waiter just named cocktails off the top of his head. We then ordered a cocktail each which later on happened to be 130 EUROS!!! We then overhead a group next to us stating they paid 30 euro for the same cocktail. When we questioned the waiter about this he said there drinks were half strength and we were sitting in a better spot although he gave us an option. The waiters then made us extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome and have never experienced anything like this. Don’t know how this place is still open it is a genuine scam and the men that work there are disgusting.

The Church of the Virgin Mary Ekatontapyliani, a large ancient stone church from the Byzantine era, boasts historic artwork and religious icons. The square above the port was constructed to honor its 1,700th anniversary. Surprisingly stunning inside, this well-preserved landmark offers a unique experience for visitors. With impressive displays of ancient history in its courtyard and intricate details within the building itself, it is considered one of Paros' most interesting places to visit.
Wow! From the outside looking in, we did not expect to see what we saw.
This place was just stunning inside and they have maintained it phenomenally over the years.
We went there around noon, got to hear the bells and enjoy a wonderful slow walk around the place and saw the pieces of history it had on display in its courtyard and then walked around inside.
Must go.

Very nice and historic church with several things to discover. Worth a visit. Free entrance, but can be supported in several ways on-site. At the end of the main shopping area, so it is very easy to drop by.

Beautiful church with beautiful people. The lady in the souvenir shop is nice, she gave us a magnet to be a gift after we got 2 products. Totally beautiful souvenirs here. The next morning we came back to see the church and there was a man sitting outside recommended us to take some bread blessed by the church. I wished him a nice day and he wished me back a better one. Totally love greek people and this island!

Incredibly beautiful orthodox church with lots of history behind it. Take time and explore the museum yo the right for 2euros which takes you up to the upper half of the church as well. Definitely a must do when you come to Paros!

This Greek Orthodox Church is NOT just a Church, but a complex.Very beautiful and a lot to see! This church is also known as 'The Church of 100 Doors', and it does have a lot of doors- but definitely not 100 :). Constructed in the 4th Century, it is widely reported to be the best preserved churches in Greece. I asked a church employee about the meaning of the name 'The Church of 100 Doors', and she said that most of the rumors allude to a tragedy that happened when the church was built. This only makes the church MORE mysterious and interesting. An absolute 💯 must do while in Paros. One Tip: The Church insists on 'Modest' attire to visit. During our tiue, they asked two visitors to wrap a scarf around their waist because they were wearing shorts ( See attached photo of scarfs provided by church)
The Popescus — Google review
This church with its chapels is one of the major attractions on the island of Paros. The church dates back to the 4th Century, and its name suggests that it has 99 door while the hundredth is hidden till Constantinople becomes Greek Orthodox again.
The church featured one of the earliest and most preserved baptistery in Christendom.
Right next to the church, located the Byzantine Museum (2euros. Prices summer 2022) Not a huge museum but for those who are interested it shows some religious artifacts from ancient Christian world.
From a small souvenirs shop you can buy some religious replicas for reasonable prices.

We stayed in the family suite and it was perfect for our family of 5. The hotel grounds are beautiful and well kept and have a spacious area for eating outdoors or playing games. The hotel has a beautiful view of the sea with a sandy beach and bar within walking distance from the hotel. The owner George was kind and helpful. Went to their beach bar at 17:00 and had to pay 20€ for a set of sunbeds with an umbrella which was OK.. As I receive the bill I have noticed that the date of the bill was almost 3 hours earlier.. Then we orderd two cups of coffee and checked again the bill and guess what.. The bill was wrong again. Date of almost 6 hours earlier.. Tax avoidance paradise at its best..

To save you from a long (albeit - worth it) read, I’ll summarize: any future visits to Greece will be to Paros, staying at Paradiso Boutique Hotel. It was by far one of the best experiences we’ve had, from location to hospitality. 10/10.
We had the most incredible stay, with the only downside being we wish we could’ve stayed longer. My husband and I arrived in Paros on a Sunday afternoon. Once the ferry dropped us off at the main port, we easily transferred to a small ferry (basically a water taxi) which transferred us to Marcello beach within 10 minutes. Upon arrival, we walked no more than 8 minutes (along the beach) to Paradiso Boutique Hotel (incredibly accessible!)
Upon arrival, we were greeted so warmly, shown to our room, shown where breakfast would be, and were told if we needed anything at all, not to hesitate to ask.
Owners, George and Filip, quickly started to feel like life-long friends. Both Monday and Tuesday we had dinner reservations in different towns within Paros. Filip was able to offer discounted transportation on both days (a huge win on any of the Greek Islands) and offered informative and meaningful conversations along the way.
On Wednesday, due to strong winds, the boat tour we had scheduled was cancelled. We wound up relaxing at Cabana beach club that day, where we mentioned to Filip we’d love if he could join us. To our pleasant surprise, he arrived with George and friends later in the afternoon where they joined us for drinks, dancing, and a great time. They introduced us to other friends and family, and we soon realized we were welcomed as a part of their local community.
Overall, we are lucky enough to have seen this beautiful island and meet friends that we hope to keep for years to come. It is clear this is not a business, but a passion and love for George and Filips community.

What a wonderful stay at this hotel. George, Phillipe and the entire staff made us feel so welcome. They had great tips on places to go and eat. Helped us with our car rental and mapped out all the places we should see. We loved the location and the beach was perfect. The hotel os super clean and the breakfast is great. The beach bar restaurant in front is great if your in the mood for some music and chair and umbrella rentals are possible , a couple minutes further down are more chair and umbrella rental and quiet atmosphere and also cheaper. There is also places you can just lay on the beach for free. I notice some reviews on the hotel are about the beach bar restaurant and to be clear they have nothing to do with the hotel. The only thing they have in common is beach access which is fantastic and so close so I’m not sure why they would give the hotel a bad review. The hotel also has its own parking lot so no need to try and use the one for the beach bar. We hope to come back and stay again!

My Wife and I booked a room for our stay in Paros, everything was amazing. From beginning to end we felt like special guests here because of the care of George and his staff.
George went above and beyond, he made sure to procure a scooter that was not only safe but brand new, something he does for all his guests. We highly recommended to rent a scooter through George.
Our experience was unforgettable and, we highly recommend staying at the Paradiso if you want a great location with amazing views and only a short ride to Paraikos.
Amazing stay, thank you George and team.

We have spent 3 days in August in Paradiso Boutique. We have really enjoyed our time there. The rooms, the common area and the location of this hotel was great. We are definitely looking forward to going back and would recommend to everyone.
But the best thing about this hotel was the owner. He was very attentive to all our needs, all his recommendations were tailored to our taste. We can not thank him enough!

To celebrate our honeymoon with my wife, we wanted to go to Paradiso Boutique and its beach to have a great time.
Unfortunately, as soon as we arrived by scooter at Paradiso Boutique and its beach, the car park guard made us understand that we were not welcome, what a shame...
This man was probably a member of staff and was aggressive and vehement...
What a welcome....
When we were simply being nice to him
Shocked by such behaviour we turned back to change the beach...
We were able to enjoy our bottle of wedding champagne on another beach...
This is a negative comment, but it is informative to warn future potential clients and also this establishment that their parking attendant deserves to be sacked...
Thank you for your understanding and please put this message to good use.
The Windmills of Mykonos are a historical landmark that can be found near Little Venice. They were built by the Venetians in the 16th century and revolutionised the agricultural landscape of the island.
Busy when the crew ships are in town, but it’s a must see spot for sunset with a beautiful view of the harbors, mountains in the distance, and little Venice. Free to enter. Quick to walk around, but windy as anything!
Jo B — Google review
This is the perfect picture spot in Mykonos! The windmills look amazing and it's also a really nice place to find some share and get shelter from the sun. Near the first windmill there's also a souvenir shop which sells more unique things than other shops in the old town so I would recommend checking it out. Also there are a few places around that sell water so stock up here instead of going somewhere more expensive!

Very amazing to come and see! It was super windy so hold onto your hats. The views were beautiful and the pictures were even better. It was cool to see the windmills they look old. Very relaxing to come and sit or walk around up here!

If you visit Mykonos Greece you have to visit the windmills of Mykonos. Located right on the beach into center of local restaurants bars and tourist stores alike. Here you will find some of the most authentic food in Mykonos and the freshest fish in the sea. You will get lots of picture opportunities but be sure to bring a jacket if you plan on being here after the sun goes down because it will get chilly. It’s windy in the day so perfect for a sundress picture or a Windy shirt for the guys.

Just beautiful! An iconic place to visit if you are in the area. Various local vendors and other restaurants available. Plenty of parking space available. Very clean and safe 👌

Best attraction of Mykonos town, all at one place the windmills, little Venice and the church. Good view with good sunset point at the corner of the windmills where parking ends.

We visited Greece during July of 2019. We had Mykonos as a stop on our trip. We have Greek friends and relatives and were told to visit the windmills and the beach. It was very busy when we got there but the views with the windmills were very nice. Well worth the visit if you are in Mykonos.
Daith? Kilcourse — Google review
Very windy, fine place to watch sunset. It will get crowded when sun is setting so go a little early if you want a nice picture with the windmills. Parking looked like a nightmare (which may be normal for busy Mykonos) but I walked there so I didn't have to deal with that! Right up the hill from little Venice.

Very nice place. Get here in the morning to get some of the best clicks. Looks very pristine without the crowds.
The general area is very well kept and you'd love to enjoy some of the nice cafes nearby.

A must see for the history and the views. From the viewpoint on a clear day you can see the neighbouring islands. It's great to watch the high speed ferries, cruise ships and jet boats from this nice little vantage point.

Here’s a different vantage point on these windmills… we stayed here via Airbnb. Absolutely incredible experience and it was one of the nicest places we stayed while in Greece. The place was so clean and well put together and the location was perfectly located without being around all the loud evening scene of Mykonos. Three stories tall with two (arguably three) bedrooms and three bathrooms, this was the first place we stayed where the air conditioning was as good as what we have in the US. The views were stunning and it was an overall incredible experience. Not terribly expensive either!
Callum Kerr — Google review
It's not much but these windmills are very iconic and maybe the most known landmark in the island. The view is great from here. Watch out: normally a very windy place, as it should be expected and is true for the whole island, by the way. But there's where you get a better view over the bay, specially in the sunset.

My wife and I woke up quite early to take some good photos of this iconic and quite known windmills in Mykonos for our memories and also to share with our friends and loved ones.
We stayed at the city centre so it just took us some few steps to arrive, well a little bit longer due to we shot some photos of the charming and beautiful alleys of Chora without people.
When we arrived to this spot we got astonished by the beautiful landscape and marvelled because we realised we were very, very far from home and on a place too much people would like to be.
This day was not as windy as other days, because, if you do not know, the location of this windmills was strategically set due to most of the time is very windy here, so, we could get some beautiful shots with our camera, our mobile and some aerials with our drone.
These windmills were used in early days to grind grains like Wheat, Corn, Bulgur, Semolina or Barley which are used in the traditional Greek cuisine to prepare dishes like Greek country bread, Cretan rusks, Katsimaki, Bobota and Pilaf.
The five windmills are in good shape and well maintained, in contrast with other windmills you can find along Greece.
You can approach, sit back and take your photos, just try be early to have the place just for you.
There is a small gift shop in the place named Mytho that sales greek traditional products if you want to buy some souvenirs.
The attraction here are the windmills and the landscape view of the bay which is beautiful without the bustling of people.
We heard that you can stay at this beautiful windmills via Airbnb, but it is not a fact.

The windmills in Greece are simply enchanting! Set against the backdrop of the azure Aegean Sea, these iconic structures offer a glimpse into the island's rich history and charm. Whether you're admiring them from afar or taking a leisurely stroll among them, the windmills exude a timeless elegance that's truly captivating. As the sun sets, casting a golden hue over the landscape, the scene becomes even more magical. A visit to the windmills is a must for anyone seeking to experience the beauty and romance of Greece.

Must see and must watch sunset!
An iconic spot. Absolutely delightful if you can manage to catch the sunset without crowds.

Nice place, right by the beach. Would suggest to watch sunset by the restaurant for an amazing view

Bit disappointing actually, they're historical, but not much to look at. Quick photo is about all I got from it. Saying that not much else to do off-season in Mykonos but to take pics, the views are spectacular.
Little Venice, located in Mykonos, is often described as the most romantic and elegant neighborhood on the island. It is a popular spot for sightseeing, dining, and shopping with its charming whitewashed houses built right at the water's edge. The area is known for its fancy restaurants, bars, clubs, boutiques, and gift shops offering unique products. Staying in Mykonos Town provides easy access to Little Venice along with other iconic attractions like the Windmills.

Beach
Outdoor Activities
Kolimvithra beach, located on the north coast of Tinos island in the Cyclades, offers a laid-back and bohemian atmosphere along with a thriving surf scene. The Aegean winds create ideal conditions for surfing, making it a popular spot for beginners. However, due to the consistent winds, swimming may not always be suitable, so it's best to check with locals before heading out.
Perfect beach, perfect location.. 30 minutes from Chora.. Also the beach bar there was perfect with very good vibes 💯💯
George Kiritsis — Google review
It could have been a great experience, with nice music and a nice scenery... it turned out as an extremely dirty beach. Based on the barman at the local beach bar, it's due to the rain. It rained 3 days ago and this was how the beach looked today. A guy from freaking Ecuador had to save a turtle which was entangled in a plastic bag. And 4 wonderful ladies started cleaning up the beach from all the plastic waste.. kudos to those 5 humans and a huge disgrace to the own who is in charge of the beach.

Stunning! Very popular beach especially among locals! Often very windy but the bar/van and the mushroom shape umbrellas makes everything look so stylish!

Tinos has many beaches as an island in the Cyclades, but this beach, despite the strong north wind, is so beautiful that it is definitely worth visiting !

Very nice beach, private and public ones.
The private one was 20 euros for a 2 sunbeds and an umbrella
Anesti Katundi — Google review
Natural beach with open sand and nice setting, the beach bar is the best in Tinos with great music and bohemian vibe. Never overcrowded and during windy days, the waves are huge and beautiful to watch. There is also shelter for the wind at the beach bar so everyone could chill and dance along the music and mingle. Probably the best spot on the island to mingle with cool locals and international beach lovers.
Andrew C. - My Inspire Project — Google review
The view of this beach is worth it! It is an amazing looking one. Rocks on both sides, hills behind, nice waves in front of your eyes!
If you have kids, go to it in the afternoon, when the winds cool down and keep in mind that it is a pebble one and that it does get deep quite fast.
There are a few mushroom like umbrellas (cute ones) and a beach bar (haven't used it, so no idea about the facilities).
Seems to be a good place for surfing.
Al S — Google review
According to some people, this is the best beach of the island. We were unlucky when we went there because it was too windy but it is definitely a very nice beach. You can either use your own umbrella or rent a set of sunbeds and an umbrella from the beach bar.
All in all, a really nice beach, 5 stars, recommended!
d0rian7 — Google review
Big beach, windy in which at some point there is no option to swim, it has plenty space and big waves which is better to surf, although at the opposite side of the stairs close to the mountain the wind is less as well the waves and better to swim, I liked but not to spent all day here, also there wasn't clean.
Tony Calderon — Google review
Ok, not a bad beach but not the best in Tinos and often affected by the wind. Raw, natural scene will appeal to many but for a swim when the wind blows Micro Kolimvithra is a better option and there are beds & umbrellas to hire whereas there isn’t much shade at Kolimvithra. Visit once but I wouldn’t be going more than once, better option is Agios Romanos on the Southern side & less affected by the winds that often blow over Tinos.
T- Lam — Google review
Clear water but a small beach. One can enjoy swimming and sunbathing if the weather is good. Usually in Tinos island there is always wind. Depending the wind direction this place is not always the place to swim. Ask the local people if it is ok to go and swim there if windy. Take with you water and snacks. Very important not to forget an umbrella otherwise the sum will turn you in to a red fried tomato. You need a car go get there from the Center of the island.
An amazing church (1 of over 330 on Sifnos). This one is probably top 3 for sure, as the positioning and location is very desirable. Perched on a cliff and overlooking the sea on its own, it is well worth the stair climb down and back up again (roughly 160 steps). The church is typically locked which is a shame, but you can admire its beauty for the outside and take some pretty nice shots.
Mike Antoniadis — Google review
Lovely view and an amazing sunrise :) there's also a small bay here, where you can go for a swim and sunbathe on the rocks.
Steep steps and we had to stop a few times to catch our breath on the way back up, but it was worth it!

When you walk towards this spectacularly placed chapel - you understand why it is the most photographed place in SIfnos. The waves hitting the rocks, the slight wind - the sunset - a must visit if you are around.
Ioana Melencu — Google review
The church of the Seven Martyrs is a beautiful picturesque church located on top of a small hill, surrounded by a sea of its three sides, and without a doubt one of the most famous sites on the charming island Sifnos.
The church is located at the foot of the beautiful village Kastro, which was the island's capital many years ago and it is connected with it with a nice path that winds along the slope.
Do not miss a visit to the narrow alleys of the village, with its whitewashed houses, the picturesque sidewalks, the cafes and the small taverns. Breathe the clean air, enjoy the warmth of the charming and welcoming residents and the beauty and serenity of this magical place!

So beautiful, you need like 10 min walk to get there
Alan — Google review
Enjoy a nice stroll through a tiny, tidy town as you make your way to the point. You will see some tourists (going the same place you are), but most of the people you will encounter will be locals. Walking down to the church is easy, with a nicely maintained stairs (walking back up the stairs will get your heart rate going). Your destination makes for great photo opportunities and that is about it. But the point is, you get to site see on foot and experience the Mediterranean first hand. You can also walk down to the water with a little effort.
Chris — Google review
Unforgettable, magical experience just by managing to walk down the more than 200 steps to reach the lonely chapel of the Seven Martyrs (at least that's how many I thought they were). We woke up at 5:30 in the morning to catch the first light. Amazing experience. So peaceful and serene. Makes you feel blessed. We watched the sunrise minute by minute and took the best photos of our holidays.

The city hall of Ermoupolis is a building disigned by Ernest Tsiller and been constructed between 1875 and 1891.The impresion that this beautiful building leaves you is that it looks more like a palace! Don t hesitate going inside and explore all the floors. Its free!! There is a small cafe also in the ground floor. Definitely recommend this place while you visit Syros
Dimitris Kostidis — Google review
Built in 1876 under the supervision of Ernst Ziller, the Town Hall of Ermoupolis on Miaouli square is one of the largest and most impressive Town Halls in all of Greece totally made in marble. Other noteworthy elements of the Town Hall are the hanging ladder at the entrance, the bust of D. Bafiadakis, the boardroom and the portraits of former mayors.
The Town Hall houses the courts, the land registry, the archaeological museum and various other public bodies and municipal services which are open to the public from Monday to Friday from 8:00 hrs to 15:00 hrs.
If you have some time, do not forget to go inside and take a walk along.

An old, renovated building is used for city clerks. The district court is also sitting here. Neoclassical and Rainessance architectural details are visible in the building. It is not big either impressive, but interesting to see as a piece of the modern Greece life.

The Museum of Marble Crafts above Pyrgos is a well-curated and modern complex that creatively explains the techniques of quarrying and sculpting. It includes beautifully illustrated displays with English translations, films, and top examples of architectural features made from Tinian marble. I've visited this museum today and it's easily one of the best experiences I've had in a museum even though it's quite small. The owner and restorer, Dimitri, guides you around the mill and tells you about the history of olive oil and the procedure of making it. The coolest thing about it is that after he restored it himself after the mill being abandon in 1960, he and local farmers and his parents made olive oil there and he documented the whole thing for everybody to see. A very interesting museum even for people who normally aren't interested in olive oil.
Definitely a recommended visit.

Psili Ammos, one of the most beautiful beaches in Serifos, is easily accessible and popular among visitors. The beach features fine sand that feels like a massage underfoot and crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming. Despite its popularity, the area remains peaceful with two traditional tavernas offering delicious Greek cuisine. While reaching the beach involves descending a significant number of stairs and parking on the roadside, the stunning sea views and serene atmosphere make it worth the effort.
Beautiful sandy beach with trees that give you shade. We parked our car next to the taverna Stefanakos which is very close to the beach.

This hotel was the best hotel we ever had on the Cycladic islands. Authentic, excellent located and extrem friendly service. The warm-hearted owner family supports you with everything you need. We had a beautiful sea view room with a balcony facing the Aegean sea. Is there something more beautiful than in the morning to open the shades and look into the deep blue sea. They serve a small breakfast which you pick and enjoy on your own terrace. The rooms are very quite and guarantee and excellent sleep.
The Way We Saw It — Google review
Definitely one of the most beautiful beaches in the Cyclades islands and of the favourites in Serifos.
Psili Ammos means “light sand” in Greek and that’s exactly what this beach is about: the sand is extra thin and literally massages your feet.
As for the water, it’s crystal clear, you almost feel blessed to bathe in such clean and fresh waters.
On the beach operate two taverns, Manolis and Stefanakos, both with delicious traditional Greek food.
The beach is not organised and there is no bars or loud music.
Do:
- bring your face masks for snorkelling
- bring a tent, as the wind can sometimes bring the sand into your stuff
- visit the beach for sunrise if you’re the adventurous type
- combine with nearby Agios Ioannis beach, Agios Sostis beach, Lia beach
Don’t:
- litter. The wind will sweep your trash away and into the sea
- occupy huge spaces for shade. The shade provided by the trees on the beach is not unlimited

Paralia Kolona is the most famous beach on the island, featuring a stunning double bay with a thin strip of sand leading to an offshore islet. During low season, it's a favorite spot for yachts to anchor, while in high season it can get quite crowded. Accessible by sea taxi from Merihas or via a hilly road from Apokrousi beach, this unique beach offers beautiful natural surroundings.
In the end of September, the beach was almost empty and there were not so many boats around. Be aware that there are only two trees that give shade. Directly at the beach there is a restaurant we did not visit. They play modern music all the time which can be a bit annoying. It is worth walking up the hill to the church on top. The view is great. It is possible that some sheep crossing your way.
The way to the beach was not very easy. If you drive carefully and slowly it is okay to do it with a low car. There is no asphalt on the way and there are a couple of holes in the ground.
Stefano Pompilio — Google review
Beautiful place, not reachable by a smaller car. Quite a narrow road up and down the mountain to get there. Once you get there, it is extremely rewarding though.
Erwin — Google review
A beautiful special beach with clear water. Unfortunately, due to the closeness of Athens, there is a lot of boats here especially on the weekends. It can get very crowded. There is more pleasant beaches on the island close to this one, so you don’t necessarily need to stay where everybody is staying.
On the north western shore there is a little side beach that has a volcanic thermal spring with clear 38° water just on the beach. It is almost hidden and you can only see it when you are walking on the beach.
Markus De — Google review
Unique beach, the natural aspects are beautiful. The beach is not ruined by sun beds as the organized part is only around the beach bar. The downside is the music from the bar can be far too loud and the wild anchorage of the boats somewhat ruins the beauty. Road there is fine only the first 20 meters are rough the rest is fine.
Gwennael Guignard — Google review
Lovely beach - thoroughly spoiled. I came here 7 years ago and, whilst the beach was busy, it was quiet and you could find space to sit and enjoy the view out to sea. Now the bar is blasting Europop that can be heard the whole length of the beach (even heard it from the church on the island). And the view… well if you enjoy looking at people on their boats then you are in for a a treat. You can’t see the sea for the yachts . Just thankful we went by moped and could leave again - if you pay for the water taxi you are stuck there for a couple of hours.

Not easy to reach by car as some 200 meters are very narrow even for one car! As there were more the 60 boats and yachts the water was not clear so the swim was less 3 seconds! But this piece of stand land is amazing!

The most popular beach of the island and one of the most popular of the Cyclades islands!
The strip of land is wider than it seems from the pictures!
My suggestion is to be visited at mid-day as sun brings out all the beauty of this beach.
Lots of boats and yachts at both sides of the beach
Access by regular car is possible...the most difficult part is the steep first kilometer after apokrousi beach where the road is too narrow. Lots of YouTube video to clearly check this dirt road.

40 euros front row then 20 for back for 2 sunbeds and umbrella and two bottles of water. Freddo espresso the most expensive beach version sofar at 5 euro.
Yes place is expensive but the best beach for little kids as shallow sloping seabed. Nice sand. Shower and bathrooms and a good covered chilled out restaurant area.
Also great place when the island has a strong northern wind as you are not really affected by it here. Remember to take the tarmaced road from corissa up through kea, as sometimes the GPS takes you off road.. which is a fun adventure if you have a small 4x4, but usual small rental car will struggle.

Great sandy beach with cristal water: with the most amenities on the beach. Booking needed in advance AT THE BEACH (not by phone anymore). Great food choice (beach bar + restaurant). Music on the beach at good level (not too high: can read and sleep with no issue!)
Watersport equipment available on the other part of the beach.
Small issue: the beach bed slide from the frame compare to the other beaches I have done
The Temple of Poseidon, a cultural monument built in the 5th century BCE and located at Cape Sounion, offers stunning views of the sea. The temple was constructed from marble sourced nearby and boasts gleaming white Doric-style columns. Sailors approaching this region could spot the temple's white façade from afar, indicating that they were almost home.
An absolute beautiful site. The drive is gorgeous. We visited at sunset and it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. There is a yummy little restaurant I Def recommend eating at. If you have the chance definitely go see.
Erica Seegrist — Google review
The Temple has a stunning view, and apart from the hugely significant historic value, there is very little too the site. There is also the €10 entrance fee, which i would not describe as value for money. There is a cafe at the site which is friendly and serves food and drinks. But nothing else within walking distance (walking is on main road anyway). I visited the Temple of Poseidon in the morning (apparently the experience is much better at sunset for the views).

The views at sunset are absolutely incredible. The place is not large, maybe a 30 minute leisurely stroll around it for some photos, but it is truly a great sight.
The restaurant nearby would be a nice place to relax and eat, however it closes around when the temple does so you need to be there earlier (something our tour guide did not include).

Beautiful site! Listen to the waves crash into the rocks as you explore. No better location for a temple to the god of the seas! Can get a little crowded but the place is big enough to spread out. Make sure to wander all around, not just at the temple, there's lots to see and hear. Restaurant and gift shop are also right on sight.

the coastal drive and the sunset make the visit to the Temple of Poseidon a complete package!
The cafe has a great setting.
Make sure you get through the gates 30 -45 min before sunset as they will close .

Lovely place although there is no public transportation to get there.
We ended up renting cars at the airport for 45€ each.
Its a nice place for a daily/ semi daily trip, including lunch at the nearby Taverns and a slow drive through the countryside

Awesome place to check out. Make sure to take the scenic route down. If you do not have a car I would recommend a local guide, Instead of a shuttle bus. We booked one through air bnb and it was great!
Also, a heads up, it's $10 to get it but there is also a spot that you can get a great view and pics without having to pay, if you don't feel the need to see it up close. That's where these pics were from.

This is a great touristy stop not too far from Athens. Getting photos at sunset is highly recommended. Do get there before they close because they won't let you in no matter how close to the closing time it is.

The temple has a magnificent View and hugely significant historic Value. There is an entrance of 10 euro which is value for money. There is also a Cafe at the beginning which is friendly, clean and services food and drinks. The best time for visiting is Sunset according to my experience. Great View! Great history!

Stunning, a little busy but we went in October and it was possible to get photos without dozens of people in the foreground.
We bought tickets at the site, they preferred cash for speed as the card machine was a little slow. Queue to get in was a little long but only took ten minutes or so to get to the front.

Must visit if you have the time when staying in Athens! I guess about 40 minutes out of town if no traffic. Not really any crowds, it's easy/fun to walk around and enjoy. Stunning perch looking out over at the sea and the structure is really amazing condition. We also had a delicious lunch down the hill where you could look up and enjoy.

This is a spectacular place.
Well preserved and on top of a hill, overlooking the ocean.
Would be amazing at sunset, which unfortunately we weren't there for.
Well worth the visit!
Nice coffee too at the Cafe.

Can definitely recommend visiting this place by rental car. Nice ride next to the shore for 1-1,5 hour from Athens.
All in all it is just some pilar remains of the Temple of Poseidon and some stone remains of houses and the harbour that used to be there.
Cafe and toilet is also close by.

Stunning views from the top! A must visit if you’re in Greece
It is about an hour or so drive from Athens. The tickets for the site cost around 5 or 10EUR (depends on if you are a student etc.,)
Try and watch the sunset from here, it looks magnificent!

Incredible to experience at sunset. Not only is it beautiful but the ruins are in very good condition. The views around the temple are fantastic! There is a cafe and small shop located just down so you can stop and take in the views. I recommend doing a tour to really appreciate the history behind it!

The trip from Athens to the temple is about an hour and a half car ride. The trip itself is on winding, beautiful, sea side roads. So, the trip itself is lovely. The temple of Poseidon is not as popular as the Acropolis, so you will basically have it to yourself. The views from the top of the hill are stunning. It’s worth the drive to see the view and to get photos that you’ll never forget.

Wonderful place to see the sunset.

Temple was amazing the went to was rubbish would sold that. Bus tour was no good. Because of protests we had to catch a train and then walk 5ks to catch the bus at the apocalypse it were basically having to run everywhere and then was told to hurry up because we're late. And on the evening tour we only had an hour and 20 minutes at the site so not enough time to see anything
They made it sound like you went too two adventures, but it was only one we had to pay again when we got there be careful of the fine print and then the bus was late getting back and we missed our dinner reservation because of traffic which they should have allowed for was told to hurry up and start running by the Young tour guide and I'm a man In my 50s I asked about a toilet was you told I should have gone before I got there! how rude and on the audio tour she questioned us on the way home like a bunch of five-year-olds my advice is make your own way there and you'll love it.

I highly recommend the temple of Poseidon. It is a beautiful and amazing site. The ruins still have some pillars standing and they are beautiful. The location is also great as you can easily spot it from afar.
You will need to pay the ticket to the archeological site.
There are toilets nearby as well as a restaurant.
The temple of Athena is also nearby.

We visited the Temple just before sunset so that we could watch the sun go down over the Agean and islands. This was a truly magical experience with the sky turning from colour to colour and becoming ever more beautiful as the sun descended. The temple itself is a wonder to see, both on a approach and when close up. It gets busy here but there is plenty of space to spread out on the cliff side with quite a few benches to be found for a good view of the sunset. It is obvious why the ancients decided to build here - it's one of those places you'll never forget.
Do yourself a favour and book a taxi excursion which are very affordable and similarly priced to the coach tours. We did and were grateful as we drove away whilst everyone else was queuing for coaches.

Beautiful place. We did not spend much time there as there is not much to see besides the temple itself and nice scenery. You can walk around there though. The drive to Athens to here was beautiful, the nature is absolutely gorgeous

We visited in October and glad that we had time to drive from Rafina. The drive was around 1 hour. The entrance fee was €10. The temple is magnificent both from afar and when we went closer. The view of the surrounding area was breath taking. We took our time walking around and taking photos. There is a cafe and museum on site. We went to visit the beaches outside the ruins after our visit.
Catherine Hunt — Google review
One of the most beautiful places to enjoy a sunset in Greece, if not the whole of Europe!
The site closes permanently for the day right after the sunset, last possible entry being around 30 minutes before the sun sets itself.
Coming in march, all the flowers around were blooming and all the colors were adding a lot to the beauty of the place.
Although not perfectly preserved the Temple of Poseidon is really beautiful even in the state it is in.
Keep in mind that the sunset here draws a lot of tourists, including busses and private tours, so at times it can get a little busy, still not crowded and manageable.
There are on site free toilets and a restaurant with a souvenir shop, the prices being a bit high considering the touristic location.
Definitely a must see while around the Athens area!

We took the coastal drive from athens. The drive and the views were amazing. Parking could be a bit of a problem here, so plan ahead. The climb to the site and the views were amazing. When there, explore the area around the sea shore. There is a nice restaurant at the site as well.

Fascinating history and a beautiful temple. The surrounding coastal region is gorgeous. I recommend visiting right before sunset so you can watch the sun go down just beyond the islands.
Attica Zoological Park, located near Athens, is more than just a typical zoo. The park focuses on conservation and offers visitors the chance to see a wide variety of animals in environments that mimic their natural habitats. Highlights include dolphin shows, lemurs' enclosure, and interactive experiences like feeding giraffes with prepared salad. The large zoo also features picnic areas, a playground for kids, and a cafe with views of the giraffes' enclosure.
One of the very best zoological parks and definitely the best one in Greece. There is a reach variety of wild and domestic animals and is one of the most interesting places for kids. Try to see the water show (currently unavailable due to renovations) and the feeding of animals it’s really nice! Also, visit the closed areas that you can be near to the animals e.g. bats, monkeys etc.

Not far from the center of Athens there is a small but very interesting zoo, by car it takes about 25-30 minutes from the center of Athens, prices are okay. during the week no waiting time. is great for families with children.

The park is very clean and the animals seem well taken care of. There are many species, including lions, elephants, bears, monkeys, dolphins, crocodiles, turtles, snakes, butterflies, goats, eagles, swans, etc.
A very pleasant and educational experience - worth going with children.
The 4 stars are because the tickets are a bit expensive and the offers (eg family pack) do not save much.

This place was much more than expected! There is a great variety of animals, such as tropical as well as wild birds, rhinos, wolfs and lions, snakes, crocodiles and many more. All animals are in clean and quite large cages, with trees inside, just as they would have been in their natural environment. It was a quite enjoying visit that I definetely suggest to anyone.

Absolutely amazing! Cannot fault this place at all! Animals well kept and healthy. You can see the passion and love they have for every animal. I would recommend going early as school kids attend and starts to get busier. Would definitely return as they plan to expand and they are a newly opened zoo. Best I've ever seen, much better than London Zoo!

One of the best zoos in all of Europe. It is so big, you can easily spend all day walking around. There is also a huge variety of species from all over the world. Definitely a must see if you're in Athens. The only problem is that it is incredibly hard to get to with public transport from the city, but possible nonetheless.

We loved that zoo, it is very big but not too big, the animals look well taken care of. Don't miss the lemurs! they jump and interact with you, and it is a one of a kind experience I think me and the kids will remember forever, the petting zoo with many goats was lovely, be sure to have 50 cents, so you can get some food to hand over to them. The rhinos and the sloth were also exciting.

One of my most favorite place in Athens.
We have purchased the yearly pass therefore whenever we have a free Sunday or we are closed by we would just pop in for a few hours.
We absolutely love the farm animals. So nice to feed and touch them.
The park is huge, we always find something new. My son can walk around, enjoy the playground.
They have a nice coffee shop with the most amazing view of the Safari animals. Every time we go we have a good time.

One of the best experiences in visiting zoos across Europe. I went during weekdays, on a Thursday, it was not crowded, i got the chance to feed the giraffes and i witnessed the bird flying show, that was awesome. Its a great experience for children and grown-ups all along. Be sure to have cash money so you can buy food for the animals. And also, take some food for yourself, the local restaurant is pretty poor.

Very good zoo. If you don't have the full day you should carefully program your visit. Feeding times are fun because the animals are more active. The lemurs are very friendly and the kids love them . The cafeteria is very good because you can enjoy your coffee and in the background you see zebras and giraffes.

A fine zoological park in Athens where you can spend half a day to observe the different animals, the birds, and the dolphin show. You can buy tickets at the entrance. There are restrooms and kiosks for buying snacks and drinks. The dolphin show happens on certain times.
You can get to this place via public transport.

I liked the zoo better than I thought (seen the earlier photos online and stuff). I went on a Sunday out of season, not that busy. Liked the animals that I saw, some had it better than others. It was a nice/okay zoo and liked it a lot. It was a lovely day. Do your own research and see if you would like to go as well or take the gamble for €21.
Sam Roskam — Google review
It was the best experience ever for us and our children too! It's a very large zoo, with so many different animals. We didn't expect to be able to feed the giraffes, that was an extreme experience for our little girls, they simply loved to feed the giraffes with salad. The keepers had green salad prepared for kids to feed them. We appreciate so much this way of interacting with animals. Another beautiful moment was at the dolphin pool, we could see them through some of the glass walls of the pool.
All in all, the whole zoo has great places and a bit of interaction with animals makes the experience even better.
We also recommend the inside store, you can find so many interesting toys and objects with the Attica Zoo theme.
Congratulations for all the work and dedication!

Such a great experience to be able to see all those animals from all over the world just an hour away from Athens. Bonus that -as written on several signs- quite a few animals had been rescued and brought to the zoo.
PS. The park with the lemurs is an absolute must, only this even is a reason good enough to visit the zoo.
ladyginger — Google review
Its an overall great experience to go and learn about the animals and see them up close. There seems to be a change for the better in everything from the last time I've been to the park. Its cleaner both in the enclosures and all the rest of the park, its better organised with better paths and the shows with the dolphins and the birds of prey have been stopped. The price is a bit high in my opinion, which is 21€ as general admission and 16€ discount rate for students, elderly etc. While there seems to be an air of change for the better, some of the enclosures seem to be small for the animals, such as the enclosures of the california sea lions and the lions... Best experiences in the park, in my opinion, are the flying fox enclosure with the sloths, the butterfly enclosure with all the beautiful reptiles and the farm animals where you can pet baby goats and sheep! Another peculiar thing that we observed in our visit is that the prairie dogs have migrated to neighboring enclosures, such as the savanah and the rhinos, which seems wrong because they might as well left the zoo and no one knows about it..

It was delightful and me and my boyfriend had so much fun. We went on a weekday and it was a bit cloudy and there weren't a lot of people, and all of the animals were outside because they weren't bothered by the heat since there was no sun. I played and hugged many king julians (lol), we saw and it was really exciting that they added spaces that were open and the animals were just walking freely. It was wonderful and will definitely be a really good experience especially to people struggling with their mental health. Absolutely loved it, plus the people that were working there seemed to really love the animals and their job. Wonderful, will definitely try to go at least 2 times a month❤️❤️

This is a great zoo. The dolphin pool and the area where visitors could roam in the lemurs' enclosure (see picture) were definitely among the highlights. The kids had a blast with several of the animal exhibits as well as on the playground. The cafe had an incredible view of the giraffes' enclosure and we were lucky to have our snack time coincide with their feeding time (see picture). Last but not least, animal living conditions seemed relatively humane (given that it is still a zoo after all).

A very well maintained facility offering a very satisfying experience to adults and kids alike. All exhibits are orderly and arranged in a very nice way, there are areas where you can get close to the animals (whether it is a feeding post for the giraffes or bird enclosures you can walk through the cage or the farm animals you can pet up close). The park has nicely put stops for coffee and refreshment, a playground to let the younger visitors play a bit and a nice coffee/restaurant, as -due to its size and distance from the town center- I would consider the Park a location for a day trip (needing 4-6 hours to enjoy everything).
Pro tip for the parents visiting: there are little wagons/push carts that are a good way to carry your kids and your kids' stuff, whenever they are out of stamina.
My only negative remark is that my oldest kid has some mild allergic reaction (either to some exhibit or plant or even a random and irrelevant irritant) and there was no organized first aid room or even kit for such cases ( I am a doctor myself, came in contact with the vets on the facility, but they just pointed me to external medicare).

To reach this place from central Athens, can take metro blue line M3 from Syntagma and dropoff at Pallini. From Pallini, just go out of the metro to the bus stop on the left and take bus 319 to the Designer outlet. Place is large and clean and there is another shopping place next to it as well. In terms of prices, most designer outlets in UK or Aussie might fetch better discounts but the Zara outlet there has good sale.

I had wished to visit this place for many years and, finally, I did. We are all familiar with the Marathon contests all around the world, but, this is the The Place, the origin, from where the Greek soldier Pheidippides, ran to Athens to report victory in the Battle of Marathon; he died of exhaustion after delivering the good news. Today's runners, fortunately, survive, although any Marathon race is extremely demanding.
Visit the place with me, you are in no danger, enjoy good food and coffee at the shore of the Marathon Lake (it's an artificial one), wander the picturesque landscape, watch birds and just relax. Have a nice trip!

Great Marina, close to central Athens and is filled with many motor yachts. It also has a nice promenade where you can walk along water with many restaurants and cafes and ice cream parlours.
There is also a naval museum nearby which has one of the warships that help grease during the world war and also a try room replicated from ancient Greece that helped the Greeks win the major naval battle of Salamis, through their cunning. Which was a major turning point in history.

Although a little pricey, it is a very nice upscale restaurant located right by the water with a 180 degree ocean view of Egina and other islands. I was also impressed by being given the opportunity to select the super fresh seafood from a fairly large selection. The fish was cooked to perfection and we enjoyed it a lot, along with a nice bottle of white wine. We spent a couple of hours, enjoying the seafood, sipping the wine and admiring the beautiful ocean and surrounding scenery. I would highly recommend it !

The Averof warship, now a majestic museum at Marina Flisvou in Athens, carries a rich legacy from the early 20th century. Here’s a brief historical outline:
1. Commission and Construction: Ordered by the Greek Navy in 1910, constructed in Italy, and commissioned in 1911.
2. Balkan Wars: Played a pivotal role in securing Greek naval supremacy with notable victories in 1912 and 1913.
• The naval Battle of Elli (December 16, 1912): The Greek Navy, under the command of Rear Admiral Pavlos Kountouriotis, engaged the Ottoman Navy at the entrance of the Dardanelles. The Greek flagship Averof significantly outmaneuvered the Ottoman fleet, securing a decisive victory that established Greek naval supremacy in the Aegean.
• The naval Battle of Lemnos (January 18, 1913): A subsequent encounter where the Greek Navy further asserted its dominance over the Ottoman Navy, solidifying control over the Aegean Sea.
3. World War I: Initially under a neutral Greece, it participated in naval operations with the Allies post-1917.
4. Greco-Turkish War: Active in 1919-1922, aiding in evacuating refugees and troops.
5. World War II: Utilized as a training vessel, later a floating barracks, and evaded Axis capture in 1941 by relocating to Souda Bay, Crete.
6. Post-War: Returned to Athens in 1944 and was decommissioned in 1952.
7. Museum Ship: Towed to Palaio Faliro in 1984 and now rests as a floating museum at Marina Flisvou, preserving its maritime legacy.
Following the historical trail, the Averof Museum presents a brilliant opportunity for families, especially young children, to delve into Greece’s glorious naval history. Here are the aspects that make it a delightful and educational venture:
1. Interactive Learning: The museum’s setup encourages children to interactively explore the ship, offering a lively glimpse into Greece’s naval traditions.
2. Educational Material: Various exhibits and information panels enrich the understanding of the ship’s adventures, significant naval battles, and sailor life.
3. Engaging Exhibits: Well-preserved compartments, artillery, and artifacts on board captivate the imagination, enhancing the learning experience.
4. Guided Tours: Insightful guided tours by knowledgeable personnel make the historical narrative engaging and easy to grasp for young minds.
5. Safe Environment: The museum ensures a safe and pleasant ambiance for family exploration.
6. Inspiration: A visit instills a sense of pride and respect for the valorous deeds of the Greek navy, igniting young minds about the values of bravery, duty, and patriotism.
The Averof Museum is not merely a recreational outing but a meaningful educational journey, rendering history accessible and thrilling for the younger generation, and offering a wholesome activity for the whole family.

Impolitely behavior from the entrance crew, who did not allow us to on board on High Speed Aero 1, although we were justifying accompanied with our parents that necessary documents would be sent in a minute (as we were in the process from downloading them from our mobiles). It is really disappointed to see that the crew staff disregarded coast guard’s advice to permit us to on board on the vessel,as in a few minutes they would have in their hands the necessary documents. Concluding, today’s incident it was really an unprofessional behavior from your staff towards yours clientele and I would not recommend Hellenic Seaways for future trips.

Worst service ever. To start absolutely no indication on the location of “deck E8”, we almost missed the boat after a 25 minutes walk on the harbour…
In the boat they asked us more money for the tickets already bought online. They then separated us because the boat was “full” (not even 10% of the seats were occupied) although we were only 5 people. They tried to check our tickets 3/4 times always in an angry manner, taking the phone from our hands and almost shouting at us. Talking to customers like this is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE.
The boat itself is very comfortable for what it does but other than that, very bad customer experience.
I would definitely not recommend it.

The Piraeus Harbor is a bustling seaport, renowned for its ferry services and impressive collection of yachts and ships. The harbor boasts numerous cafes in close proximity, providing visitors with the perfect spot to relax after exploring the area. While some gates may be closed, there are still plenty of ships available for those looking to embark on a maritime adventure. It's worth noting that punctuality is highly valued at this harbor, so latecomers may want to plan accordingly.

The ruined Doric temple, constructed around 5th-century BC, was dedicated to the Ancient goddess Aphaia. The remarkably preserved remains of this temple are located on a hill covered in pine trees providing an extensive view of the Saronic Gulf. The structure was built in honor of a local deity from a pre-Hellenic era and featured magnificent sculptures depicting the Trojan War on its pediments.
I never get tired of visiting the Temple of Aphaia, one of Aegina island's must see unique attraction that is situated on a hill ... with beautiful views & lots of pine trees ... about 15 km from the islands capital. 👍😊
Since prehistoric times ( 1300 B.C.) it's been a place of worship ... a sanctuary dedicated to the goddess Aphaia.😍
Next to the temple there is a small archeological museum, the Museum of Aphaia, where parts of the temple are on display. Across from the Temple you will see a simple cafeteria where I've enjoyed some beverages ... that was nice: especially if you are visiting on a hot summer day!

Must visit. Not very crowded, it’s a very well preserved temple, one of the most important ones in this part of Greece too. They had both the Parthenon and Sounion in sight so those three temples used to communicate with each other visually, even though they are dozens of km from each other!
Also - visit the cafe for a coffee - they serve a surprisingly good one and the view is stunning!

This monument is well preserved and maintained. It’s hard to believe that this temple was from 500 BC.
Most of its pillars, structures, inner and outer features are still standing.
There’s a shop and cafe close to archeological site you can buy drinks, light finger foods and souvenirs there.
The shopping mini complex also has a restroom open to everyone.
Parking here is by the side of the road so it is limited.

This temple is pretty well preserved on the Greek island of Aegina. Or at least as much as anything can be at 2000+ years old. The temple is at the top of a mountain, surrounded by a fence and normally cost 6 eu to enter, but ous was already covered. Anyway you can see some real dedication with people quarrying these enormous stones and then of course dragging them up to the top of the highest mountain around. Anyway it's a beautiful site.

Move over, Temple of Aphaia, this church is beautiful! If you're fortunate enough to have found yourself on Aegina, a visit to this neo-byzantine church is a must. Pretty interesting church - the architecture and the colour scheme makes it stand out from its surroundings. It has quite a well decorated interior and is very well maintained. There were some scaffolding in the church when we went, but it doesn’t really make much difference to our visit.
This place is accessible by the A1 bus that runs from the port of Aegina (though the frequency may be very limited - so plan your time properly if you intend to catch it!). A beautiful city, a historic bridge, the phenomenon of sea water under the bridge, a mild climate. An ideal place for the most famous inhabitant of Chalkida Aristotle.
The Corinth Canal is a remarkable achievement of engineering spanning several centuries. Conceived by an Ancient Corinth ruler, started by Roman emperor Nero, and finished in the 19th century by the French, it's over 6km long and 23m wide with vertical sides towering over 90m above water. The canal played a significant role in elevating Piraeus' status as a prominent Mediterranean port.
I think it is one of the must-see locations on the way to Nafplio. The canal was built in late 1800s. However, as far as ı read, a landslides was occurred in the slopes of the canal. The Greek government decided to remove the debris and re-open the canal in 2021. however, we visited the canal in April 2022 and it was still closed to ship traffic.

I think this is a must see. The canal is long and narrow with beautiful tall cliffs on either side. The water is a strikingly beautiful blue when the sun directly hits it. You can watch boats make their way through the canal. It is about an hour drive from Athens airport, but it is a cool way to see the Greek countryside. There is a bungee jump there called Zulu Bungee which I highly recommend. You can even go there and watch other people jump from the viewing area above. There is ample paking and a bridge that you. an also walk out on to see the canal better. Also there is a nicely maintained restroom across the street.

The Corinth Canal is a man-made canal in Greece, that connects the Gulf of Corinth in the Ionian Sea with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. It cuts through the narrow Isthmus of Corinth and separates the Peloponnese from the Greek mainland, arguably making the peninsula an island. The canal was dug through the isthmus at sea level and has no locks. It is 6.4 kilometers (4 mi) in length and only 21.4 meters (70 ft) wide at its base, making it impassable for many modern ships. It is currently of little economic importance becoming mainly a tourist attraction.

It looks like this today.
Vlado ST — Google review
The canal was initially proposed in classical times and a failed effort was made to build it in the 1st century AD.[4] Construction recommenced in 1881 but was hampered by geological and financial problems that bankrupted the original builders. It was completed in 1893, but, due to the canal's narrowness, navigational problems, and aperiodic closures to repair landslides from its steep walls, it failed to attract the level of traffic expected by its operators.

This spot is not easy to get to, there are no proper road and have to drive through mud road. So be prepared if you want to get here. The view aren’t that magnificent as well. I would suggest taking a look at it from one of the bridges and passes the canal.
However if you would still come to this spot, I have attached some pictures that hopefully will help you find the entrance which is next to the petrol station - as you can see no proper road. Safe trip!

For a 19th century canal, it is impressive.
But not quite my thing.

You get to see both ends of the canal and then turn around and go back. There is a tribute to Nero who started the project at the one end on the Corinth side.
The Hosios Loukas Holy Monastery is a magnificent Byzantine-style religious complex established in the 11th century. It is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and situated between the towns of Distomo and Kyriaki, about 23km southeast of Arahova. The monastery comprises two churches, including the principal church that houses some of Greece's most exceptional frescoes from the Byzantine era. Visitors are expected to dress modestly (no shorts).
Amazing exemple of Byzantine culture and religion. Now we can see not only perfect wall frescoes and mosaic from X cent., but also olives maschine, monastic garden, cells, cemetery. The place of cult of St Luka of Steira from IX/X cent.

We saw this monastery a few days after the area had been ravaged by wildfires. The air still smells of the burning. The monastery was saved but some side buildings were burnt as the fire came to the very edge of the ancient property on Mount Parnassus from the 11th century (modern by Greek standards).
We loved the church and the artwork across the property. It has an amazing history and contains the tomb of the founder, now Saint Luke. Great gift shop.

Peace and Beauty. Absolutely a marvelous holy place, quiet and serene with amazing views and lovely people. I was so welcomed at mass, the locals noted my quiet awe at where they worshipped that after mass a local walked me to the icons the resting place of thier Saint and despite a language barrier I knew and she conveyed the special place this was. Thank you Greece, I arrived a guest and left like family.

Great stop on your way to Delphis. Stop for a visit at a very nice untouched place. Recomend to look at their open days and hours. The road is good and you can also eat a lunch at their local shop. Nice staff and a beautiful place to visit. It was very hot on the day we were day but we really liked it. Enjoy your visit looking over the montains and olive trees. Try they´re local pistachios.

We visited Hosios Loukas from Meteora on our way to Athens. Located near the town of Distomo, it is a nice stopover although the road condition was not always good. This is definitely a scenic monastery in the valley, and I saw l lots of olive trees and grapes on the way. The ticket is just 2 euros, but you definitely need your own car to come all the way here.
