It bit messy around, but it gives some charming feeling.
Metal constructions around lighthouse spoils a bit this place, but it is just a point of view of photographer. Do like a nature around it and that very special feeling of tranquility.

Very exciting visit, we planned to get out of city and spend some time in nature. So we dont regret visiting this marvelous platz. Ou, just be careful of dirt roads, very very dusty during sommerzeit.

My first time inside a lighthouse - what an experience! I think a detour just because of it wouldn’t be worth it but if you are in the area, you have to see it! And a keeper lady makes her own jewellery and knick-knacks with amber found locally

Worth seeing! The view from the top is stunning! Beautiful coast with the white sand.

The Artillery Battery No.1, also known as the Northern Fort, is a fascinating and impressive place to visit in Liepaja. This historic site may have a dark past, but it now stands as a unique destination for adventurous individuals and those who enjoy scenic walks by the beach. The underground tunnels offer an exciting glimpse into history, where visitors can witness the meeting of art and nature on this remarkable landscape that is constantly changing.
Everytime I'm in this region, I visit these forts. The art is always changing and the landscape is unique.
Milda Kiau?ait? — Google review
The most memorable attraction in Liepaja. At first didn't expect much, but turns out that visiting this place can change your view about Liepaja from a simple seaside town to a historically rich and somewhat mysterious marvel of a city. While the ruins can be dangerous to walk around, if you stay on the track you're up for an amazing adventure at the sunken fortress. It can be a true delight for history fans, but also will not disappoint the usual beach resorters, no matter if it rains or the sun is shining. 10/10
Mykolas Akelis — Google review
Interesting place to visit, very excited to walk underground tunnels. Where history meets with powerful nature

Nice place to see. Take flashlights with you. Place is unprotected so watch after your children as it's pretty dangerous out there.

This is the most impressive place in Liepaja! Easy parking next to the spot, a shore to explore: you can climb the fort, so make sure you have suitable shoes to enjoy the most.

Very interesting and I will say beautiful place (although we know that history and purpose was not that beautiful of these ruins). But sure very unique place now in Liepaja both for morw adventurous ones and for the ones who jsut love simple walks near the beach.

The Northern Fort is an integral part of the Liepāja Fortress. Here you can walk subterranean labyrinth and bunkers, get information about Liepāja Fortress, its hisroty and construction.

Karosta (War Port) is a unique fortification complex on the coast of the Baltic Sea in Liepāja.
The buildings show a contrast between the construction styles of the military facilities of the Russian Empire and the USSR.
Today, Karosta is a particularly popular tourist attraction, especially the blasted forts.

Interesting place to visit while visiting Liepaja. It's quite close, but I drove with a car as had a time limit. Car parking available. You can walk through of some decaying buildings, but be very careful as it is quite dangerous. There's also a quite clean rocky beach available for those who wants to refresh in the sea after a trip in hot summer. Not very busy during weekends.
Meskisz Meskauskas — Google review
A wonderful place to wander around on a sunny day. Care needs to be taken if you want to climb on the ruins and inside some of the buildings the roof is crumbling. But it's a fascinating piece of history on the edge of the beautiful city of Leipaja
Bryan Duggan — Google review
Good place to stop if you are in Liepaja. There is also a nice beach so grab swimming cloth if you visit it in summer ,otherwise its just nice picturesque location of old fort that now half broken and smashed by waves of baltic sea 🌊

The Naval Cathedral Church of Saint Nicholas in Leipaja is a stunning place of worship immersed in history, offering a tranquil ambiance for visitors to enjoy. Adorned with exquisite paintings and religious relics, the cathedral exudes an air of serenity and reverence. Its magnificence is undeniable, though some might lament not having seen its interior firsthand. Regardless, when visiting this beautiful cathedral, it's crucial to behave respectfully and uphold good manners.
It's amazing to see this beautiful cathedral. Don't use your mobil phone inside. It is strictly forbidden. They will let you know directly.

Beautiful but quite empty orthodox House of God. Surprised by angel voices and the appearance of an old priest. There is a shop inside to buy icons, where you have to pay cash. Helped by a grumpy old woman... Most certainly st. Nicholaï will protect the tourists, but true believers might have found another way in Latvia...

Karosta Prison, a former military prison with a formidable exterior, now serves as a museum offering guided tours and interactive performances. The complex has a rich history, having been utilized by seven different regimes including the Nazis and Soviets. Visitors can expect to see remnants of World War I and II, while gaining insight into the harsh conditions experienced by prisoners in the past. English-speaking guides are available to provide knowledge and context for the site's various exhibits.
The tour was great and dives into the history of the Soviet Union.
unity9 forall — Google review
Our small group was staying in the area and decided to visit this unique tourist attraction. We were quite surprised at the history of the prison, especially at how recently it actually closed. Our guide was very much into the role of a prison guard and really added to the tour and stories. Tours are in Latvian and English (others?). If you want an extra authentic experience, you can actually stay overnight - varying levels of comfort hahaha. Thanks for the history lesson 😀👍

Woow 👌 great place. Tickets only 10 min before excursions. So you need to be there HH:50. For example: if you want to have excursion at 14 o’clock, you have to come and by tickets 13:50.
Marija S — Google review
Very good historical place, every hour there is guide tour. Tours are in English, Russian and Latvian. In my group even though i was the only non Latvian person, guide explained all the thing to me in English. Thanks for all the people who works there.
Ceyhan Akbas — Google review
It's a piece of history you can visit here. This was a military prison used by the Russian when they were established in Liepaja. They used to send every soldier who failed to comply with the military code. So the visit of the prison is very recommended, the guide speaks in English and is very nice.
Paul — Google review
Arrived to view on one of the four days it isn't open 😩. So our "into the bowels of the prison" excitement was dashed. Instead we wandered about in the yard looking at the place from the outside imagining the horrors that lay beneath our feet. Such a shame especially since a local media crew turned up and got let inside. It had a strange feel to the place since its history as advertised on the info boards flies in watered-down contrast to the written history you find in tomes. Plus, the idea of a prison yard having a children's machinegun play pit next to a swing and slide play area and adjacent to bullet-riddled execution posts, is just utterly bizarre.
Nick Lean — Google review
This was a fun themed tour of a complex that has served seven regimes, including the nazis and soviets, as a military prison. Fairly grim conditions as you would expect. Guide was knowledgeable and spoke decent English. The site has some interesting WW1/2 war relics. Wasn’t expensive and definitely broadened my horizons, so a recommend from me 👍🏻
Martin Duncanson — Google review
Interesting place to visit, a lot of history you can get from this place. You need to come 10 minutes before visit in order to buy tickets. The place is only allowed to visit with the guide. On website you have write down the entrance time, I believe is each hour and the place close at 6
Asia Frontczak — Google review
Very interesting history. I took an English guided tour, which explained the prisons history and part of Liepaja’s history well. Definitely recommend when visiting Liepaja
Danil Karmadonov — Google review
Amazing experience, we stayed the night, had the tour and did the escape room.
The outside toilets are to be avoided
Marjan Crabtree — Google review
Pretty interesting history of this place. The excursions with a guide are made every hour. There are two different guides. One speaks russian, the other one english. To go on excursion it costs 5 EUR per person. There is a cafeteria to buy some food and soft drinks. Outside there is a big yard to hang out, make photos near the old military car. As I went with a kid, I liked that there was a place for kids to play in the yard. If you are heading for Liepoja, definetly worth a visit.

The Monument For The Fishermen And Sailors Lost At Sea, constructed in the 1970s under Soviet occupation, commemorates the deceased fisherman and seamen. It also serves as a reminder of a significant event from the 1950s when the Soviet army destroyed an American airplane. In addition to its historical significance, this landmark is situated near the sea and provides a useful point of reference. Noteworthy attractions can be found nearby on the surrounding ground.

The monument to the sailors and fishermen perished in the sea. It is a figure of a woman looking at the sea for her loved ones who never will come back. The monument often is called "Crocodile Gena", because from the side it looks like a character from the formerly famous soviet cartoon.

The Holy Trinity Cathedral, a stunning Lutheran church in Liepaja, is a must-see for visitors. The edifice boasts breathtaking architectural features and resonates with organ music that adds to the serene atmosphere. However, visitors may be disappointed to find out that the panoramic view of the city from the Cathedral is currently closed. Nevertheless, this beautiful church offers great religious services and reminds us to appreciate our faith and spiritual connections with God.

Absolutely worth of visit. This is mysterious place between reality, art and surrealism
Algirdas Sidiskis — Google review
It is sad to see how abandoned the place is . 25 years ago I was here with a school, and I remember by then a conversation of our teacher and the owners who where responsible on running the museum. Our teacher was criticising the owners of low care, that the artists works and workshops not being properly preserved, and that was already visible by that time. Today I left the museum with deep disappointment. Everything is rotten , the workshop places, the wood sculptures the environment itself feels abandoned. Maybe that is the idea of letting it go after the last creators death, but then it should equally stand a clear statement explaining why museum is in such conditions. I would definitely be afraid of taking children, and I would not feel safe of letting them walk around, as all the under stone paths, sculptures, especially where the central composition/workshop stands it doesn’t look safe anymore, the feeling is that it can collapse at any time. Strange that no one from the government, department of culture and safety do not pay attention. Missing safety, guiding, information signs. No education centre with video, sound or just basic archives. The only good was the new toilet, but is it that why visitors stop by and pay 6 Eur entry fee? It looks like that the main business there is AIRBNB, party and wedding place. I give one star for those who currently running the museum and for sure the highest respect for artist and his endless imagination and the power of holding and controlling the stones.

Well, this place is more oriented to religious people, or who love stone craft - art. Many different crosses and sculptures related to religious traditions.
You can find some other art instalations, but you have to understand and love arts to understand them.
But overall, it is impresive to see how one man can change his environment and create this kind of place next to where he lives.
For me most impresive thing was - World War II Soviet Tank. Not sutr what model it is but i gues it is “IS” series tank.

The sculpture Jūratė ir Kastytis, located by the sea in Palanga, is a stunning piece of art that blends seamlessly with the enchanting ambiance of the area. It is considered one of the most exquisite sculptures in Palanga and holds a captivating legend. The surroundings are breathtaking and well-preserved, offering a clean and pristine environment for visitors to enjoy throughout the year.
The sculpture Jurate and Kastytis was created in 1959. built in 1961 at the end of J. Basanaviciaus Street, near the pedestrian bridge to the sea. According to the legend, a brave fisherman named Kastytis once set up a net in the Baltic Sea. The goddess Jurate sent the mermaids to warn Kastytis that the Baltic waters should not be disturbed, and Kastytis was not afraid. Jurate wanted to know who was ignoring her will, rose to the surface of the sea, and when she saw each other she fell in love and found herself in the amber palace. Percorn soon learned about the goddess’s love for the fisherman. Aggressive, he destroyed the amber palace. Kastytis was killed, and Jurate was chained to the rubble wall of the amber palace. Sometimes the sea throws tiny pieces of amber onto the shore. They say they’re Jurate tears.

Nostalgic Memories — Google review
Situated in an open square at the cross roads between Meilės alley & Basanavičius street the sculpture is based in a fountain which is popular during hot summer days.
The sculpture of "Jūratė & Kastytis" was built in 1961 and is based on a Lithuanian legend about the goddess / mermaid Jūratė who fell in love with a mortal fisherman Kastytis and lived together in her amber castle under the Baltic Sea therefore enfuriating the thunder god Perkūnas who struck the castle with lighting exploding it into tiny pieces. The legend goes that until this day the tiny pieces of amber found ashore are parts of the castle.
Fun trivia: the coat of arms of Palanga has the crown and amber necklace of Jūratė as it's symbols.

Beautiful musical fountain. Great place to stop, relax end enjoy the view and music.

Music fountain with known songs, for instance Queens. However, it plays only until 10PM, but during June it is very light outside even at 10PM, so you cannot see the full view with colorful lights. Could work longer.

New place, last time i visited Palanga this was just random square, now its nice family friendly place, fountain is really cool, especially when its dark and all colors starts.
Beautiful red brick architecture. I climbed to the observation deck, and the stairs are a little scary and thrilling. It's great that the old style is still intact.

Beautiful church inside, neogothic style. You can visit bell tower every day until 17:30, great that it is free and even binoculars are for free. Interesting to see bells and chappel from the second floor, however view to a city is not fascinating.

Wonderfull place to visit. perfect exsample of this stile of church. and from tower you can see the city!
Nyanko Sensey — Google review
The church attracts every gaze of the visitors- it is the highest building in Palanga and has its neo-gothic greatness and beauty. You will not be disappointed inside well- marble and wooden altars, stained glass windows with great ornaments and other interior elements and decorations. The church has it's newly installed organ and I highly recommend to listen to its magnificent sounds when it is possible. Don't forget to climb upstairs to the tower and enjoy magnificent views over Palanga and Baltic sea! It has two telescopes for observation and it is all free! Many visitors miss that opportunity because of a lack of information.

Very beautiful red brick church. Tried to go upstairs to see bell tower but on Sunday entrance to the tower was closed.

Go inside and light a candle if you are nearby. You can also climb the tower to get a view of the city.
Sverker Brundin — Google review
A beautiful catholic church. It is as beautiful from the outside as it is inside. It is bright inside and you don't get a gloomy feeling. The services are beautiful. You can leave a donation in one of the numerous boxes if you wish. There are a couple of stands to light a candle. In summer time and during the Christmas time one can enjoy beautiful concerts free of charge. There is a possibility to climb the church's tower and take a look around. This church has a wonderful atmosphere and you can come and pray and experience a spiritual regeneration. It is at the Center of the town and easily accessible.

Located at the intersection of Simpsono Street, Sculpture Park is a popular summer attraction for those seeking a peaceful retreat with loved ones. The park boasts 28 sculptures, including oversized outdoor chess pieces for visitors to enjoy. Situated along the Dane River, it offers a rejuvenating stop after a long car ride. Visitors can also explore the hand-cranked bridge, Black Ghost Statue, and Old Mill Hotel nearby.
Beautiful sculpture park in the centre of Palanga with many benches for rest.
Andris Skābe — Google review
The sculpture park was founded in 1982, in 2008 it was fully renewed and valuable sculptures from collections of Lithuanian Art Museum was placed here. You can enjoy 28 sculptures. Park exhibits works of acknowledged Lithuanian and foreign sculptors. It is like an open-air museum worth visiting for.

The beach is clean most of the times, however in bigger crowds you'll see with a naked eye that the water is all dirty, so try finding a spot where there are less people in order to lay down and swim in a healthier water. Also minor minus is that the toilet cost 1 euro in the park near the entrance to the beach, so come there with an empty bladder.

Gintaro muziejus is a popular museum located on an old-world estate in Palanga, showcasing Lithuanian art, culture and amber exhibits. Housed in a neoclassical palace built by Count Feliksas Tiskevicius in 1897, it reputedly boasts the world's sixth-largest collection of Baltic gold with over 20,000 examples.
It's a must go when you are in Palanga! The museum holds a large exposition of amber stones in all shapes and colours. It's well explained how amber was created, how and where it is harvested and what is made out of it.
I always knew that amber is related to the Baltic Sea area but I never knew that it can be found on so many places around the world. Thanks for the information.
Alexander Kotys — Google review
Amber is very important to Lithuania, as an industry and to its culture. This fascinating museum covers both aspects. There are 2 floors of exhibits, and there's a café. Probably not for young children, but older children, especially those interested in the history of Lithuania, should visit.
David Miller — Google review
Exposition is not as big as advertised but some interesting items are present. Definitely worth visiting the park, the museum and the Manor. It is only a few minutes from the beach too meaning you can cover a lot in in a single day.
Edgar P — Google review
We've chosen this place by random click on a map and it was a lucky hit I must say. Very beautiful place, park around palace where you can walk in peace, the palace itself is really beautifully restored. It is very warm inside so you can leave your jacket in wardrobe. Not huge exposition, but it is big enough for amber, it's history and why it is considered as gems.
A bit of interaction with looking through magnifying glass to see what's inside of some ambers, that makes you think how much time it took for nature to show us this "photo" of insects trapped inside..
Grip Production — Google review
This museum was well worth the trip. There's a huge variety of amber and good history of the region in many languages. The gift shop has Lithuanian certified amber for sale. There's also museum areas of the historical palace where this museum resides.
Kelly Ihme — Google review
Very nice expositions. Well gathered and presented amber inclusions. Sadly, rude and idle staff. Ruins all experience. Never have I ever seen such museum where pupils run around and shout as in the woods. Stuff just stands and does nothing. Closed amber shop. No one to work but two ladys are there chatting. Bad bad people management. Still, worth to visit.

Interesting museum of Amber in a beautiful building. Tickets are cheap. Ambers are in every room. It’s possible to take a look with magnifying glass inside of amber and see different insects.

The Palanga amber museum which is located in an old manor. Huge park around where you can walk for hours. The entrance to the museum is 8 €, there is something to see and something to be surprised at.. There is also a souvenir shop and a cafe

Sadly there was an ongoing event when we went there, so we could not go inside.
But the yard and surrounding parks are extremely beautiful and enchanting.
Be prepared for a lack of benches in the park though.

Nice small museum of amber. Not only a great collection of amber but also very educational. Good for kids of 3-7 grades I think and also adults interested in geology. There is a cute garden in front and behind the building. Their shop is a little overpriced you can buy a lot of similar souvenirs at Basanavicous street for a fraction of the price. They also have a small cafe on-site.
Dmitry Kniazev — Google review
The scale of the exhibition was much smaller than we expected.
The museum café got beautiful seating area.
Yui Cho — Google review
The exhibition is not very big, but quite interesting, have at least half an hour if you do not like to read descriptions and more that an hour if you enjoy reading and looking into fine details. Exhibition holds not only raw amber, but also amazing jewellery made some time ago and quite new designs. Also a couple of rooms or room settings as the mansion used to be. After the exploration you can enjoy a cup of beverage in a café or check out amber products for sale. The exhibition is available to handicap visitors, and not sure about the parking as the mansion is surrounded by a big park stretching to the sea.

In the Palanga Botanical Garden, there is a relic dune on which the Birutė chapel stands. A sacred place where there used to be a pagan temple. A red brick chapel was built on the mountain, which is closed, but what is inside could be seen through the hole. The chapel has a stained glass window.

Another must see in Palanga. Great views from the top. Also, we use the stops to exercise. As this is an ancient pagan site, it has information on this too on the info boards around the hill.

Very nice place in Palanga, the hill is near the see and in the middle of park. Beautiful nature an a good place for a leisurely walk.
Andris Skābe — Google review
When in Palanga, you not only can enjoy the Baltic sea, but also a walk in one of the most beautiful parks in Northern Europe - Birutė Park. Called the pearl of Palanga, this resort space was established on the territory of the former sacred Birutė Forest and Birutė Mountain. The landscape plan park project was created by the famous French architect Eduardas François Andres at the end of the 19th century on the order of Counts Tiškevičius.
The talentedly designed park is characterized by a wide variety of views, paths and flower beds on the grounds. Here, on the land of the former Tiškevičiai estate, there were swamps covered with reeds until then. On the order of the counts, ponds were dug in this place, and the soil was used for the embankment of the future mansion. In 1897, a Neo-Renaissance style palace was built on it, which currently houses the famous Amber Museum.
Birutė Park is a great place for a quiet and cozy family vacation, or a simple walk to enjoy the Baltic nature.
Traditionally, three times a week - every summer Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 6:30 p.m. wind music fans gather in the park's rotunda - the professional Palanga orchestra gives Palanga residents and guests free concerts surrounded by nature.

It's a lovely place to see... With great views and surrounded by a beautiful park with ponds, and hills. Not too far away there's a Lithuanian Amber Museum and Botanical garden, also there's a beach near by. It will keep you busy for at least half of the day for sure!

Nice for a walk, however view is not the best, you can see just a very small part of the sea.
Akvilė Rykovė — Google review
It is the tallest point in Birute's park and is surrounded with old pine forest. Enjoy the magnificent view of Baltic sea. Best time to enjoy this view is on sunset- then this place shows all its beauty. A pagan sanctuary with paleoastronomy observatory was set up on this hill. More than 100 years ago a neo-gothic chapel was built on the top of Birute hill. It has beautiful decorations with stained glass.

The Lithuanian Sea Museum is a maritime museum that features historical exhibits, aquariums with various sea species such as penguins, sea gulls, sea lions, fishes and turtles native to the Baltic Sea. The ambiance of the museum is great and there's a music concert for visitors to enjoy. There's a tunnel that provides an actual view of the aquarium which is mesmerizing. Although lacking English translations at some places, the visit was enjoyable with seals and penguins being some of the highlights.
Ambience was really good. Different kind of sea species, corals, plants, etc. Majority of them were models and not the true ones.
There were actual penguin type birds, sea gulls, sea lions, ducks, and many other species of fishes and turtles belonging to the Baltic sea.
There was a music concert too in the museum.
There's a tunnel to pass through and feel the actual view of aquarium. It's really mesmerising.

The Lithuanian Sea Museum, located in the Old Fort of Klaipeda, is a fascinating blend of maritime history and marine life. The museum showcases Lithuania's naval heritage with exhibits on fishing traditions and seafaring culture. The highlight is the marine aquariums featuring a diverse range of sea creatures. It's a must-visit destination for history buffs and nature lovers alike..

I really love this museum as it has so many different aspects of the sea; it tells about ships, sailing, sea rescue service, pollution and animals. Moreover there are living fish to be seen and enjoyed. Due to its modern concepts it adresses the entire family

Hard to get to on Curonian spit, the entire area deserves maybe a day there. There is dolphinarium, animal rehabilitation center and museum of the sea with aquarium plus other exhibits. The entry ticket is quite expensive. Very nice aquarium with many fish, info and environmental awareness focus. The fortress part was not as strong.
Cristi — Google review
Nice and fresh aquarium, exhibits looks good and clean. The one con for me was that information signs about the fish were only shown on one screen. I wish to see more analog signs about the inhabitants, so it's easier to have an overview. Otherwise a very nice experience!

Went to delfin show and sea museum. In delfing show you can see the better fish artist than most of the modern human artist these days.
Museum sea museum is build in old fortress Where you can find pinquins, crabs, sealions, seals and bunch of fishes. Also same area there is more traditional history museum. Entrances are cheap 8e + 8e for dolfins. I high recommend the place especially with kids.
Dan Hedberg — Google review
The Lithuanian sea museum is a great day out. With lots of history and things to see, from historical boats that you’re able to go on to dolphins dunking basketballs.
The sea museum/aquarium is well organised and laid out, you’re able to walk in one direction and see everything. Outside you have a fort that has been turned into a museum with each entrance holding a different part of history.
Signs have Lithuanian and English which is a massive plus for us.
You’ll be able to see penguins, dolphins, seals and many species of fish.
I recommend checking feeding times of animals so you’re able to see them in action, I noticed feeding time for the seal pups was at 13:30 and we arrived much later than that missing what could’ve been a really fun time.
Plenty of walking to be done here to wear comfortable shoes! And enjoy the wonderful day out.
Naglis Miniauskas — Google review
It was an amazing trip. The big Aquarium is something you cannot see everywhere. However, I was a bit concerned about the condition of the penguins

A fantastic place to visit, solo, with a partner or with a family, regardless, you are sure to have a smile on your face.
I would recommend to buy tickets in advance to avoid queues. Make sure to check out the live dolphin & sea lion performance!
Tui Bumblys — Google review
You can't miss this place! You won't forget. And it's nice they don't force the animals to do the show. If they don't want to participate, they don't have to.
Eva Vinklerov? — Google review
Maybe I'm just spoiled by the big aquariums in Baltimore, Cincinnati, and Gatlinburg in the U.S., but I was a little disappointed. The exhibit starts on the second floor, and it's mostly static displays, as you'll see in the photos. Moving to the first floor, there are more tanks of live creatures, more what I was expecting. On the positive side, there's a nice penguin exhibit, where they can be seen inside and out, and the same goes for an exhibit of harbor seals. The basement has a great display and explanation of naval swords. The grounds surrounding the museum were once a fort, but we weren't able to spend a lot of time there. There's a separate seal and dolphin show that would be a hit with kids. Overall, it was an enjoyable time.
David Miller — Google review
First of all, to get to the island, you need to take a boat which goes on exact hours and returns quarter past of each hour. Dont lose the first ticket because it is both ways. On the island, you can take a minibus, a shuttle(3€ per person) or simply take a 20min walk by the seaside. When you get to the museum, you have 2 options one is the aquarium and the other is dolphin show. We took the first and it was already enough. It is a must, especially if you are going in winter.
Bora Durmus — Google review
Very beautiful place to visit in Lithuania. A well-kept museum where you can see a lot of live fish, sea animals outside and even enjoy a dolphin show! Very nice to visit with kids or with friends to take nice pictures and find out more about the sea creatures. The Museum of Clocks is a unique and fascinating establishment showcasing vintage timepieces and exhibits that delve into the rich history of watchmaking. The museum features an impressive collection of clocks from all over the world, each telling the time in its own distinct way. The beautiful building houses well-signed displays that offer visitors an opportunity to learn about different types of clocks and their significance.
It's a very beautiful museum. I've never seen another place in my life where there are so many watches. Here you can both see the watches, get information about the time, and spend time beautifully. I think the entrance price of the museum is cheap. This is a museum that absolutely everyone should come to.
Mervan Tap?n? — Google review
Nice and compact exposition to look at, first floor oriented to the history and evolution of watches or clocks in general, while upper floor is more colorful and shows off variety of styles, distinctive lighting touch added for this part of exposition. Overall lacks a more interactive approach and there could be better guidance or models to try out for younger visitors...

An amazing museum) What a wonderful trip to a world history of clocks! The museum features exhibits of clock and watches from the past to the present times. Here you can see the device with the help of which people around the world tried to measure the time. You start with the examples of clocks in the Ancient East tradition and head for the next exhibition where strange examples of clocks are shown. Some of these clock and watches look like a real masterpiece! The collection of clocks from European countries are really fantastic!
Moreover, there are a nice space to spend time with your children in the inner courtyard. You should take a picture there. The best time for visiting the museum is May because of the magnificent views in the courtyard.

Fantastic and unique museum that takes you through the history of clocks 🕰️ ⏰ Starting from ancient clocks that utilised the elements like solar (sun for sun dials), water, fire and sand. I was amazed to discover that Egyptians were the first to create the sun dial and water clocks.
You’ll see mechanical clocks, stopwatches, table clocks, pocket watches and even beautifully decorated Baroque and Art Nouveau clocks. Highly recommend it to learn more about the history of clocks, it’s fascinating 👍🏽👍🏽

We had a lovely server. The atmosphere was a bit dead for what I’d excepted on a Sunday at lunchtime.
The menu is overpriced and the wines are very overpriced. We had mussels that were nice.
The menu is pricing this restaurant at a high level but they don’t even give you napkins, just a box of small thin cocktail napkins that stick to your fingers if they are wet.
I think there are much better places to eat than here.

The sculpture known as the Black Ghost of Klaipėda is a noteworthy attraction in the city. It is situated near a hand-cranked bridge and the charming Old Mill Hotel. The sculpture itself has an interesting backstory that is sure to capture visitors' attention. Although it may frighten some children, its unique appearance emerging from the water beside the bridge makes for a cool sight when boats are passing through.
Certainly the single most interesting structure on Klaipeda Harbor. A haunting robe climbing out of the water with a ghostly light.

The bronze sculpture, known as “Juodasis Vaiduoklis” (“The Black Ghost”) has been terrifying children since 2010. Sculpted by Svajunas Jurkus and Sergejus Plotnikovas, the figure is 7.8 feet in height, with about half below the level of the waterfront walkway and half above. Apart from the ghost’s hands, the hooded robe is empty inside, creating a strangely expressive spectral appearance despite the lack of any facial features.
For many new arrivals, the main question regarding this creepy sculpture is: Why? Well, it’s all tied to a local legend that isn’t quite as terrifying as you would imagine. The legend dates back to 1595, when Hans von Heidi, one of the guards at Klaipėda Castle, was doing his nightly rounds near the harbor.
From out of nowhere, a hooded figure appeared near the water’s edge. Rather than attack the startled guard, it asked him how the city’s supplies of grain and timber were holding out. Von Heidi informed the ghost that the city had sufficient supplies, but the ghost warned him it would not be enough. At that point, the apparition vanished.

The shopping-heart of the city, plenty of stores for clothing, cosmetics, medicine, tech, tea & coffee, general goods, recreational activities, numerous restaurants, laser-tag, ice ring, bowling, cinema, multiple ATM's on site, plenty of locations where you see the layout map.
Overall this is your one-stop locations for most (if not all) purchases, food stop, evening night out or going to the movies.
Parking is free for clients and there's plenty of space.

SuperB zoo. Yuo can feed the animals.
Animals are well kept. Much better than Kaunas Zoo.

An interesting experience. It would be good to build more spacious enclosures for the animals. There were an incredible amount of tigers, it was a bit surprising. There were also many other felines. The cages felt a little wobbly. In some places panthers were walking in a cage directly above us. Safety was a bit of a concern, especially with small children, because it would be possible for a small child to put his hand in the cage. The tiger cubs were incredibly cute. This is really not small, even though the name suggests so.

Everything looks like in other cements. If you read them then you are prepared. Cash only, don't use wc.
Loved baby tigers & lions. For additional 15 eur you can pet them for 10 min.

Absolutely depressing place. The living conditions of the animals were terrible. I have never seen zoo animals run to a human that i saw on this zoo. The animals were completely stressed and hungry. Im also in tears right now when i think about these poor animals.
Look at these camels in the picture. Their humps were completely emty and they were so thin. Thats not ok.

Good parts: it's not a "mini" zoo, the territory is quite large. Lots of large cats and enough other animals to keep you entertained. You can spend 15 min with baby tigers and lions (though the queues may get really long) and you can feed and pet many other animals.
Bad parts: cages are really small, there is almost no green in any of the cages, cages are not cleaned often, so the smell is horrible. Visitors can buy bread at the entrance, then feed it to ANY animals. I am not aware of what coatis are supposed to eat, but cake doesn't seem like the proper nutrition for them (see photo).

You can see lots of wild animals but the conditions are poor.

Terrible, all the animals there are depressed, smells like dead animals.
Everything is old and dirty
It's a pity, and the ticket price is 12€. Not worth it !

Loved it! I have no idea why it is called 'mini' zoo, because it is not mini. We spent there 2 hours and saw lot of animals. Around 10 lions, lot of tigers, pumas, parrots, rakoons.... And you can see the animals very close. This is Must see in Klaipeda.
