How long is the drive from Bastia to Bonifacio?
The direct drive from Bastia to Bonifacio is 106 mi (171 km), and should have a drive time of 3 hrs in normal traffic.
If you’re going on a road trip from Bastia to Bonifacio, we did the research for you and compiled some great stops along the way — with Porto-Vecchio, as well as top places to visit like Lotu Beach and Citadella di San Fiurenzu, or the ever-popular Plage de Saleccia.
Porto-Vecchio, located on Corsica Island in France, is a picturesque port town surrounded by 16th-century Genoese citadel walls. The old town overlooks the marina filled with yachts and offers narrow streets lined with various shops, bars, and restaurants. Visitors can enjoy stunning views from Place de la République while renowned beaches like Palombaggia and Santa Giulia are close by.

Best stops along Bastia to Bonifacio drive
The top stops along the way from Bastia to Bonifacio (with short detours) are Palombaggia, Plage de Santa Giulia, and Les Aiguilles De Bavella. Other popular stops include Plage de Saleccia, Corsica Museum, and Prehistoric station Filitosa.
Plage de Saleccia, located on the northern coast of Corsica, is often hailed as one of the most picturesque beaches in Europe. With its white sand, turquoise waters, and lush vegetation, it's no wonder this idyllic spot was chosen as a filming location for The Longest Day in 1962. Accessible by boat taxi from St. Florent or a scenic drive from Casta, this half-mile stretch of undeveloped coastline offers a serene escape.
One of the best beaches I have been to. Wide beach fine sand turquoise water. Catch a boat taxi from the St. Florent pier. There are several companies on the pier that are not on Google Maps, not just Le Popeye. We made a reservation a day ahead with Spassighj’Agriate and they were great.
Dan Sinnreich — Google review
This beach is amazing, comparable with the best beaches in the Mediterranean. The only problem is how close the boats can arrive, it really feels like swimming in an arbour.
Eleonora Delfrate — Google review
Nice beach, but nothing ‘special’, loads of nice beaches in Corsica that do not require an hour off-road driving (10 kms) to get too! A nice sandy long beach, but the snorkeling was disappointing. Maybe a visit by boat would be the best option.
Nigel McKinley — Google review
Just an amazing beach!
The sand is superb, the water is azure, and the wind is calm.
However, you can't really get there easily: the "road" is 6 euro and if you don't have a tall 4x4 it's better not to go there.
On the beach there's no toilet or change room, so be ready to share some of your secrets. It's not a lot of people, though.
Vlad Kasianenko — Google review
Gorgeous beach! Definitely has an "Instagram vs Reality" feel due to the number of tourists and taxi boats. Maybe best to visit in the morning. We saw a few jellyfish during the late afternoon. Bring a parasol!
Melissa Warren-Garcia — Google review
Fantastic beach. I like the way to get there. There is no road. But with a motorcycle or a 4x4 car you can get there. The beach is very clean. The sand is fine but not more fine than on the other side like at Bastia. You can be shure that everyone on this beach has made a special effort to come here. There are sometime cows on thr beach. The cows like to play with some visitors. This plage is one of the most difficult to get there.
Reviewer cheffe — Google review
This beach is extraordinary special and located very nice. The scenery is just great. Clear water and white sand makes you feel like in the Caribbean. During the main season it's often crowded, but still worth a visit. You can go by 4 wheel drive from Casta or by boat from St. Florent. Or by your own car, and without 4 wheel drive it will take some hours to do down the earth road. Close to the beach there's the famous camping site and on the other end of the beach a very nice beach restaurant hidden in the pines. Definitely with a visit.

I give you as good description I can. Because I searched in advance before visiting Saleccia and didn’t get the whole picture. First. This is a beach worth traveling to. One of the top 10 in Europe if you search for unique places. This is natural. Beside Chia in Sardinia this is magic. For me. St. Florent is the nearest city. You will find at least 3 providers of transport by boat there. It cost you 30 euro in a rib. Easy 10 min. You can choose in and out times in advance if you are early or there the day before. From 09. Saleccia gives you about a kilometer of the finest sand with no gras or other. At the south end we found Rosa or pink if you want, sand. You walk easy out in the water. Slowly it gets deeper. So nice. We saw 4 private boats when we where there on a Wednesday in September. We walked 50 minutes to Lotu beach along the coast and returned from there. Wearing just sandals. Nice walk. Lotu is smaller and ok but we found Saleccia more perfect for us. You can also reach it by car. If you have a decent 4x4 just do it. They say 45 minutes. From the road up on St Florent mountain. You find it. There are many providers of transport in that area. 30 min from the city. So you need to add that for the 45 min if you stay in St. F. I don’t know the price for 4x4 transport.
Lotu Beach, also known as Loto or Lodu, is a serene and unspoiled beach located in a desert wilderness area. Accessible by boat or a coastal trek, it offers a remote vibe with verdant hills, white sand, clear sea, and the sound of cicadas. The wooden jetty and small lake add to its charm. Cabane du Lodu provides delicious grilled prawns and speculoos tiramisu along the coast path.
Great beach but I liked Saleccia better as this one is a bit smaller and there are more small tree branches on the beach. Still a fantastic beach.

Its a great brach, top 3 in Corsica. Crystal clear water. Highly recommended.
However, due to it having a dock, larger boats deliver hundreds of beachgoers and it gets very busy around 11AM.
Western end of it has cows roaming around and you probably guessed it cow dung.
Chris Georgiev — Google review
The beach is amazing, too bad it is ruined by people who forget their trash and place their thing behind the fence put in place to protect the dunes...
If it was supposed to be a "wild secluded beach", oh well IT ISN'T anymore, it's a lot more crowded than most beaches in Corsica actually
Please be respectful of this wonderful place and be responsible and pick up your trash. Other than that, the beach is amazing with perfect turquoise water and fine sand.
Daniela Telehuz — Google review
Fantastic beach. Worth the trip by boat. Clear water and almost perfect sand.

Lotu is like a slice of heaven: white sand, crystal clear water and amazing scenery. Lots of wildlife under water which is perfect for snorkeling.
There are three ways to get there: 3 hour hike, 4X4 vehicle or boat.

One of the beaches in St Florant you need a boat or 4 wheel drive vehicle to reach. This is the most organized. With a line dividing boat from bathing people. Restaurant close by. Simple. Harbor for popeye co boats. Very nice beach. The sand is amazing. A bit bizzy during the season. Even on a Wednesday in September. No WC. Clean up yor trash please and take it home.

We were able to visit this old "Citadel" in the busy tourist beach town of Saint-Florent, Corsica, France, yesterday with our grandson. We were delighted to discover a free parking area near the ancient fortress and actually there happened to be another free parking area even closer to the castle above our spot. There are remnants of the ramparts which are easily accessible by foot. The views of the town of Saint-Florent are quite stunning from up here and make for some gorgeous photos. It was just a mere pittance one paid to enter the castle which was built in the 15th century or 1439. As luck would have it there was an interesting Corsican art exhibition on the top floor along with detailed descriptions of construction of this amazing fort. We highly recommend you make this one of your stops before or after you partake of the many water sports down below the "Citadelle." Thanks so much "Citadel" of Saint-Florent as you really impressed us Floridians from the U.S. of A.

The citadel is perhaps the only authentic monument of Saint Florent, because even if there is nothing to visit, it is well maintained, and in May, despite an already significant number of tourists, we can take beautiful Pictures.
I was very disappointed with this city which could be any port on the French Riviera, everything there is dedicated to mass tourism and the port is not even beautiful. Nothing of the Corsican soul, which I feel on Île Rousse or Calvi, but not in Saint Florent!

Very beautiful citadel from an exterior point of view because when we were there we could not visit the interior of the citadel. The panorama is very pretty whether the weather is nice or not, you still have to stop there. Otherwise it's done in a short time. A nice little stroll but nothing extraordinary. Too bad the walls are engraved, sometimes even tagged... unfortunately it takes away its charm.

Plage de la Roya is a bustling local beach that offers calm waters and a variety of activities such as sailing, jet skiing, and diving. It is known for its long stretch of fine sand and crystal-clear shallow waters. Plage l'Ospedale features sandy beaches and pink pebbles, while Plage Crique is a small hidden gem frequented mainly by locals.
A very nice and accessible beach.

This beach is a very low standard after visiting so many great ones in Corse! The water is shallow and super warm, at the shore level many seaweeds of brown colour but the worse is the micro and not so micro plastic everywhere on the shore and in the water! We tried to have a swim but honestly had to get out cause it was so polluted with plastic! Many families present when we visited with little children (I personally wouldn't risk my child to ingest plastic while playing in the water).

Parc Galea

Specialty Museums
Parc Galea is an intriguing medium-sized museum set in a beautiful garden in Corsica. This unique park offers a captivating concept where visitors can walk through the garden and learn about the history, music, films, and people of Corsica. Despite being primarily in French, non-French speakers can still appreciate parts of the park, although their overall experience may be somewhat limited.
Great medium sized museum, parc, garden. The concept of this parc is interesting; you walk through a garden occupied by all the major plants of Corsica, with rooms filled with facts on the people, its intriguing history, music, films, etc. We enjoyed it very much. It took us 2 h. Even if it was a little rainy. For our two daughters the "nude" foot path was very enjoyable, running, feeling - fun. Most of all i liked the the way this parc stepped away from regular musea, walking in a parc that teases the visitor to look right and left is great.

Beautiful place to spend few hours, both for adults and kids. Very interesting display of Corsican history, impressive cactus all around and a funny "bare foot" track for kids where my daughter enjoyed very much.
Just missing (at least at the time of my visit, early September) some solution to get a drink....it can be very hot and if you don't have water with you it can be not so funny, even a simple vending machine would do.
Enrico Parmeggiani — Google review
Nice park which explains the history, flora and fauna of Corsica. Unfortunately all animals are just shown via pictures and all signs and explanations are only in French. The park has a strong focus on cactus. For my children the barefoot path has been the highlight.

Narrow road with limited parking. The short walk from road to the waterfall is very steep and marked “dangerous”. If you’re more or less fit it should not be much of a challenged. Going without shoes is better than going with slippery/unsafe footwear!

Such a beautiful beautiful waterfall! I didn’t get to go into the water due to how far down you have to walk and it isn’t practical because the steps are ∞ the woods and they are steep. The Corsica Museum, located in the former barracks of the citadel, offers a spacious and well-organized exhibition on multiple floors. The museum provides a comprehensive history of Corsica, showcasing traditional habits, culture, and craftsmanship. Visitors can explore exhibits dedicated to Corsican anthropology and pottery while enjoying explanatory videos throughout the exhibition. Spacious, well laid out museum on several floors.
The exhibits provide a comprehensive history of Corsica. You need to leave plenty of time for a visit if you want to read all of the detailed information for each exhibit. As with most museums there is probably more on display than can be absorbed on one visit. Don't miss the "Corsican Head" sculpture on the outside terrace on the first floor.

Worth going in for the views from the citadel alone. The directional signage is available in English, but the exhibition signs are French and Italian only. Interesting enough though.
James Harper (Mousetrapper) — Google review
Really interesting museum with plenty of greate exhibits and good styling. You can enter citadel from here. This place have a huge potential, problem is that they is not a single word in English on any of descriptions. That's something to fix and improve for sure .
Tomasz Bocheński — Google review
Otherwise a nice museum, and the Citadel has a great view over the town, but if you don't speak French or Corse, the museum is simply not worth visiting because there are no displays written in English.
Teja Škarja Jeraj — Google review
Very well-done the lab for kids: we were two adults without kids and enjoyed it so much anyway. Explanatory videos along the exhibition are nice as well. The permanent exhibition includes objects that show traditional Corsican habits, culture and savoir-fare, but probably should undergo a renovation. Small gift-shop, no bar or coffee inside.

In the Citadel nice view from the top. Exhibition not exiting. For rainy days.
Gorges de la Restonica is a stunning natural wonder located in the heart of Corsica, carved by the untamed Restonica River. One of the most renowned hikes in Corsica, the trail begins at Bergeries de Grotelle and leads to Melo Lake at an altitude of 1,711 meters. The route offers a breathtaking experience suitable for both adults and children, although proper footwear is recommended.
Splendid place but the road is really scary, barely the place for a single car most of the time.

(Translated by Google) Beautiful experience. A walk suitable for adults and children but not to be underestimated. I recommend suitable rackets and shoes. Esperienza bellissima.

Absolutely worth discovering.
The natural bowls or swimming pools are a real treat in hot weather. Water a little cool but pleasant.
Be careful, the road that runs along the gorges is barely wider than a cycle path. Big danger to cross paths... with the void below.

Endroit magnifique, comme figé par le temps.
A découvrir absolument.

The April weather was really nice so we enjoyed staying at the historical site for a longer time, and we counted on Google to get more details about the life of the ancient Roman people.
The museum focuses on the remains found in the cemetery. It was well presented but lacked information that can catch the attention of a 10 year old.
We found the price very fair and hope we could support the site.
Improvement tips: Take example of Vindonissa in Switzerland, where children can really get into the life of ancient Roman people.

Lovely views, especially from the roof of the Genoese castle. Roman remains on a hillside for the keen. Restaurant with great views but don't expect staff to serve you food of any kind after 2:30 pm. A Cupulatta is a unique 2-hectare park in Corsica that houses a diverse collection of tortoises and turtles from around the world. It's an ideal destination for families, offering an educational experience as well as enjoyable moments for adults. Visitors can explore the park at their own pace, observing tortoises of various sizes and types while learning about their habitats and behaviors. The park also emphasizes conservation efforts, providing a glimpse into turtle clinics and rescue operations.
A simple lovely tortoise and turtle zoo. Who knew there were so many, ranging in size from a couple of inches up to the giant Galapagos tortoise. They look well cared for, and the zoo seems heavily into conservation. There is a small snack area at the end. A couple of hours well spent.

We visited here as part of a Corsican tour from our cruise. We were met with lovely staff who fed us all a selection of cured meats, cheese, bread and plum jam. All were amazing! I then got to try a lot of different honey that the wasps apparently loved too. The little gift shop sells all the types of honey I tasted as well as lollipops and soaps etc all made from the honey. I went home with a very malt tasting black honey, some plum jam, honey lollipops and plenty of soap. Happy days! We’ll worth a visit. We paid 55 euros per person plus 10 euros to rent the shoes (we recommend to rent them as they make the experience feeling more safe and enjoyable). Payment only by cash.We never tried canyoning before and the beginning level was in line with our expectations: we had both fun and felt the adrenaline. Our guide Krishtina (pardon the spelling) was amazing and super prepared.
Downside: nobody took pictures of our group and they are not super clear about what time you should get there. We lost our spot at 11 and when we called them to say we would have been 15 minutes late (tbh ended up being 30) they didn’t warn us about loosing our spot at that time.

The best way to reach Trou de la Bombe is to leave Notre-Dame-des-Neiges. If you have children, plan on taking up to 90 minutes to reach your destination. The view along the way is gigantic and Trou de la Bombe is also well worth seeing. The last 10 minutes of the trail require a bit of climbing, but is easily doable for children (ours are 6 and 9) if you shake their hands every now and then.

Great, very pleasantly shady hike to the Trou de la Bombe from the Col de Bavella. It took us about 2 hours comfortably to cover the 6km and 230hm. At the end it becomes a little more challenging with slightly steeper, rocky parts. In principle, the entire hike is easy to do, is run by many families and is highly recommended for all levels of fitness.
In general, it is advisable to arrive at the hiking car park early (before 9:00/9:30 a.m.), otherwise there may be no parking space left.

However, we did not embark on the final ascent of the hole. The climb is very beautiful with superb views of the needles among the pines. Very few people and not too hot leaving at 5 p.m.

A beautiful walk to the water. A very easy, flat walk suitable for all people of all ages and abilities (prams are totally fine to go here) We parked up at a big car park (free of charge) and did a loop which was approx 4 km.
Charlene Elliott — Google review
The spot that everyone comes to take a swim is very crowded which lost the tranquility of the place and the water was not as clear as the other part. HOWEVER!!! if you want to dodge that and enjoy the beauty of the your “private pool”, walk down a little bit more there are tons of small rivers that you can find. The water was pristine and the scenery was a WOW!!
Mai Chi Nguyen — Google review
Nice spot, a bit touristy, but we fully expected that. If you go with kids, there’s a nice adventure-park that is quite expensive but my lads had a lot of fun. We hiked only 20’ or so because the weather was not good, but I expect that the most beautiful spots were up the path.
mikyberra — Google review
if you love nature and hiking, don't miss this place. Basically there are several natural pools all along the river with crystal clear water that lures you to jump in. The water is cold as ice though, so taking a bath there requires some adrenaline. The are are some 10 of them and the upriver ones are the most beautiful, so I advise you not to give up half way and go all the way up. You can drive as there's a (dirt) road going uphill parallel to the river, or you can leave your car in the parking lot and walk the last 2 km or so to admire all the pools on foot. And a piece of advice : on the other side of the river, oposite to the road, there's a trail that follows the river bed, so if you're into hiking I advise you to go on that trail either when you go upriver or for the return journey, it's just wonderful.

Beautiful green and shady place where to have a nice swim. There is a little snack place but it was close when we went. Not recommended for people with limited mobility as one has to go down not much but is not a proper path, and once you are down there is just rocks. to get to the water. The road to get there is quite winding, in case get sick easily or if you are pregnant.
Rocío Alcaman — Google review
Great for hiking and swimming in rock pools.
Martin Cvilink — Google review
Had a nice hike through the rocks which i would recommend instead of taking the dirt road path.
The natural pools are pretty but very crowed. There was a spot (5 mins walk) that was wonderful with no one.
If you go all the way to the end of the path right where theres the restaurant, you will find everyone which is very crowed.
Since crowed, parking is a bit annoying bc you will go around for a while. At least parking is free.
Filitosa, an important prehistoric site in Corsica located 20km north of Propriano, showcases remarkable granite menhirs that were erected up to 6000 years ago. Some of these standing stones were re-carved during the Bronze Age, about 2500 years later, depicting intricate faces and weaponry. These unique carvings seem to honor specific individuals. The site offers an hour-long exploration through open fields and hillsides that contain remnants of ancient enclosures.
Great place to visit, is really interesting and plenty to read. You can explore and take your time. The access is not complicated and you have parking and a little brasserie on the side to eat. I was impressed for the olive tree! The path is fairly well indicated however it could be improved a bit. The museum at the end is plenty of historic information.
Javier F U — Google review
Parc with ancient Filitosa statues spread over a few hectares. There is at the entrance a modern building with interesting historical artifacts and a shop. The entrance fee was rather high for what is there to see, on the other hand it’s a quite unique site which should be seen.

A place not to be missed. Looking at 8000 years old history. Museum well set with archeological discoveries set chronologicaly, village well preserved and great landscape.
Olivier Rahier — Google review
Nice archeological center, as it presents the history of Corsica. (The museum at the end d plains nicely). The site itself is a bit too basic, lacking an explanation (unless you purchase the guide which we didn't do as we already spent 9€ eaxh, for the entrance) that could have been included (the qr code give you access ti only very little and poorly translated information)
Veronica De Bernardi — Google review
Absolutely beautiful! I enjoyed every moment of the visit! I met wonderful people who feel responsible to save and share the ancient history and site. Walking there is simply so peaceful that I hardly wanted to leave while I learnt about history and the dedication of the family owning the site.
Kinga Muszik — Google review
They do have a restaurant on site as well. The tour is audio guided via QR code.
Goodyear — Google review
Worth visiting for the anthropomorphic menhirs but otherwise compared to sites in say Brittany it is slightly underwhelming. Most of the museum was closed off when we visited with no explanation when it would open. The very good €2 guide guide leaflet is worth spending a few moments scanning before you start exploring. The most important menhir, Filitosa V, is now a replica but there is no mention of where the original now is.
John Laidler — Google review
Very interesting place, although privately owned and run it gives in depth information about the neolithic/bronze age people who used to live herein
Patrick Nagel — Google review
The road to here is difficult
There are some interesting stones but for sure this "site" can be improved. They simply can add some flower gardens, some productive olive trees, etc
Hint: you can simply visit without paying if you take a look on sattelite images. I was very disappointed to see cars parked inside of this "site"

Hôtel du Golfe (sur le port), 20140 Porto Pollo, France
Palombaggia is a picturesque beach located near Porto-Vecchio, boasting stunning views of its white sandy shore and turquoise waters. This scenic coastal area is surrounded by evergreen trees, creating a serene and natural ambiance. Nearby, visitors can explore the charming town of Porto-Vecchio with its historic citadel and quaint streets. Palombaggia itself offers a lagoon-like bay with clear and crystal waters, perfect for swimming or simply admiring the beauty of nature.
Wonderful sand beach with convenient parking. Came at around 11 in the morning and it was not a problem to park car in the shade of pine trees. And parking is free! Beach itself goes alongside, walk further and it will not be crowded at all. Crystal clear and shallow water, stones to make insta pics, bars everything is there! The best beach for us visited in Corsica! Recommended!!!

Nice blue shallow water. Great for little kids. Lots of pine needles and other natural debris on the beach. On Sundays extremely crowded. Some jellyfish in the water.

This is, to me, the best beach in Corsica. The dand is white and thin, the water very clean and light blue. You can park very close to the beach if you get there early (before 10am) otherwise there are parking on the street and with a 10-15min walk (very easy) you get there anyway.
Around 11 till 5pm is a bit crowded but still there's plenty of space.

Mediocre food at best, incredibly rude personale. Not sure if it’s because we were not French or not but very unpleasant experience overall. The beach chairs are comfortable and the beach is obviously beautiful but I would strongly encourage anyone to pick a different beach lounge/restaurant as not only none deserves to be treated the way we got but also the price is really unreasonable for what you get (50 euros per chair but they try to charge you 80). There are plenty better options just a few steps away.

The popular Plage de Santa Giulia in Porto-Vecchio, a bay on the south coast of Corsica, is surrounded by clear, shallow water and beachside restaurants. The pier offers fishing opportunities.
One of the best beaches in Corsica! There are good bars and restaurants, water is crystal clear. One can walk around and explore nice and more quiet places around.
F. Zefi — Google review
We expected more since we visited palombaggia. Santa Giulia is long but narrow beach so we hardly found our spot. We were located in front of some mobile homes and it was really bad smell I guess from the toilettes. The water was clear and shallow, so is perfect for small kids. But a lot of grass in the water and on the beach. Parking lot is 5min away walking and it costs us 5€ per whole day.
Sanja Rozman — Google review
Very beautiful beach in the southeast of Corsica. Partly white sand and turquoise water. The beach is very long and unfortunately also very busy. Nevertheless beautiful. If you are looking for a quieter place to sunbathe, you should walk down the beach to the end, even further than the last hotel-restaurant. In front of the the Hotel there is also a small free parking lot, next to a small lake, but there you have to be a bit lucky, because the other parking lots cost 15 € per day. If you want to go out for a meal, you should know that the beach is mainly home to high-priced eateries. Exception is a kind of fast food restaurant, but that is unfortunately at the other end of the beach.

An amazing beach with clear water for the kids to play all day. There are two bars where you can easily get all the necessary food and drinks, so if you are a person who can stay in one place for the whole day, this beach offers everything. For the first 50 meters the water is very shallow, again amazing for little kids. They can walk in and out (under your watchful eye of course) all day. The water was also not cold. I recommend at least a couple of hours to visit, but it could get crowded.
Jon Premik — Google review
A beautiful beach to visit. A free parking lot located at the beach. A couple of restaurants situatuated along the beach for an ice cream, a beverage or something to eat. Lots of shade and lovely white sandy beach.
Charlene Elliott — Google review
Water is shallow and clear, sand is white. Bay is beautiful and the ship can’t come close. So why just 3 out of 5?
The grade is lowered by the August crowd, but hey, this is the time i am here. It is super busy.
There’s also quite a bit of seaweeds that reduce the amount of available beach. They also smell quite a lot. If you’re going in the paid part of it, just disregard this, they keep it pretty clean and they look gorgeous.
Another minus is the parking, the closest to the beach costs 20€!!! TWENTY!!!
There are cheaper options with nice pals (search for the 5€ one on google map, there’s a 5’ walk on a nice path).
Overall, there are FAR better options. Balistra, petit Sperone, Stagnolu and even Rondinara.

Very nice beach. We went there a bit late, but we will definitely come back for a swim, the surrounding is magnificent!
michel mougey — Google review
The beach definitely has a potential. However, it is a victim of its own popularity. In the high season it is very busy. Additionally, the beach is not cleaned of decaying sea weeds making it a very unpleasantness place to lay your towel on. The prices in the surrounding bars and restaurants resemble those found in Switzerland rather than in France. Perhaps the biggest nuisance is the noise pollution. The beach is used to rent all kind of watercraft that emit constant noise and exhaust fumes, polluting this otherwise beautiful place even more. You will do better going somewhere else, unless you enjoy crowds, high prices, dead seewed and noise.

This is what a beach should look like. Beautiful sea, mountains in the background, warm sun. Usually not too crowded, plenty of room to swim, take a walk by the shore, or play with your kids. Definitely will return here!
Tamás Kondor — Google review
Ridiculously packed and honestly expected a lot more. I think the beach is victim to its popularity as the beach was quite dirty with cigarette butts and random trash , and this was early in the morning. Also on the left hand side it’s just a port with all the boats so doesn’t feel great to be swimming so close to that. Views are very nice and water quite warm.
Getting in and out is a complete nightmare as the roads are extremely narrow and two cards barely fits. Arrive as early as possible and leave between 2-330pm

(Translated by Google) We went snorkeling with Fred. We really had a blast. It was interesting and fun. We really enjoyed the moment. This allowed us to realize what we had been seeing since the start of our trip but without knowing what it was.
Fred is a great host, passionate and interesting.

(Translated by Google) Great diving club. Very warm welcome, very professional and very supportive team for my little ones who passed their N1 very seriously. I was able to follow their exercises and their training, I am N2, nothing to say, it's great! The diving spots are wonderful, notably Les Cathédrales and La Grande Vallée.
Equipment in very good condition for the little ones, I had mine.
Very advantageous prices and the club is very accommodating.
If I return to the area next year, this is where you will see me, with my eyes closed!
A small downside: no toilet facilities for us and a changing area which could do with a little more privacy, especially for the ladies.

(Translated by Google) Very nice team, good atmosphere, really welcoming.
My guides René and Nathan were highly professional in their work and I always felt well informed and safe. The equipment was high quality and appeared to be well maintained.
The trips to the diving sites start directly from the beach and were a maximum of 10 minutes away. We saw, among other things, dentex, moray eels, lobsters and snails while we dived through the most bizarre rock formations. Highly recommended!!!

Sehr nettes Team, gute Stimmung, wirkt wirklich einladend.

Rondinara Beach is a picturesque coastal destination that attracts crowds with its swimming, sunbathing, picnicking opportunities, and waterfront restaurant. Situated south of Palombaggia and sheltered by two large promontory rocks, this bay offers protection against the sea winds. It is easily accessible and welcomes a diverse range of visitors, from older couples to young families.
A 15 minutes drive over the hill which can easily be reached by any car. A big car park for 5 euros for the whole day. 160 meters walk to the beach. A nice restaurant with good selection of food. Only negative is the number of boats moored nearby. White sandy shore and turquoise waters.

The beach is beautiful but there are really too many boats in the water. The large free water area you see in the pic has no depth, if you want to swim you need to do it between the boats. I wish we had time to explore around, maybe there are some hidden nice corners.

Weeeelll, i’m giving this beach 4 stars only because water is super warm which i love, and shallow. But beach is good only far left, everywhere else water is full of grass, and muddy. It even has some green-ish color near the dock. So just go far far left, and you can bathe there. You can also use some natural shade under the trees if you like.
Parking is 5 euros for all day, there is enough space and you don’t have to walk too far from parking to the beach.
Road: be prepared for 10km of snake like road, which is ok, but a bit bumpy and narrow. It is not a dirt road just be careful not to drive fast.
There is no internet connection on the beach.
All in all, Santa Giulia is MUCH better than this beach.

Nice beach, not crowded, but quite busy. Some organic dirt in the water. The bay is full of ships what makes it busier. The road is narrow, but absolutely ok to drive through with a regular car. Parking costs 5 Eur (July 2022) for the whole day.

Very beautiful place, but very crowded. The beach is suitable for families time

As with many beaches we’ve discovered in our short time here, it pays to get off the beaten path!
Literally across the bay you have some lovely beaches that at are not even on the map.
Hard to get to, a “paying” parking which is sometimes surveyed and sometimes not, to many people... Corsica is too beautiful, go explore!

Beautiful beach in Corsica!
Highly recommend!
Be prepared for your ride!
Cool water, super fresh. A beachfront restaurant near by, convenient!!!
Might be challenging to get parking space!!!

Beautiful clean white sand and clear, calm water. Some restaurants and a beach shop. Parking fee is 5€. The last few kms of the road narrow and bumpy, but easily done by regular car.
If you do not drive to the end of the road but take a left at the spot where all the signs are deliberatelt pointing you to the right 😉 - you reach the free car park with access to the left side of the bay.

Great shallow beach to relax and cool down in the water. Paid parking only for €5 per car. Dog friendly.

the water is stunning! the beach is quite big.. if you continue going up on the left you’ll find smaller beaches (just one after the other) and then another big one. The beach is quite narrow (not as much as Santa Giulia) so it can get quite crowded. Parking is close by and it’s easy to get there. For me it’s not 5 stars only because it’s too crowded for my preferences, and maybe the many boats spoil the scenery a bit, but it’s really beautiful. The pictures are taken on the far left side of the beach.
