Great fun!
One of the longest and best Rodel 'Coaster' I've ever been too. The sections are very well integrated into the landscape, providing a challenging and fun course. Great high-speed sections, quick and sharp turns, a full carrousel, and some slower sections to enjoy the lovely views into the valley. Visited in July during our holiday to Brand, it was rainy and the wait times were short. Went for 3 rounds and bought ourselfs a photo and icecream at the end-station, amazing memory and souvenier for later. Good staff with a big smile, altogether massive fun, would highly recommend!

Long waiting times. Sigh... It took over 1h to get 8min of "fun"(kids from my perspective too young to ride alone delaying the whole process).

Wow, what a fantastic ride. It was thrilling from beginning to end. It was much longer than we expected....it seem to go on forever. Beautiful surroundings which ever direction you looked in. We took the cable car up first, then went on the coaster to go back to the start, then took the cable car again. The ticket includes 2 trips up.

Really fun and felt really safe!
You can sit on one coaster alone or together with one small child. It has seat belts for (both) passengers.
It can go really fast but you van can also slow it down by using the hand brakes.
In August 2022, the price was 13 euros per person per ride which was definitely a good deal for the experience!

What a great place! The Coaster downhill was hilarious and so much fun. Took it twice, one with each kid 😉 what a rush. You decide yourself how fast you want to go, but the cart can go no more than 40 km/h. Down the hill there are signs where to hold on the speed and brake a little for the sharp turns.
We also took the lift to the middle station and walked down the mountain and tried the 6 slides that's about 50-60m in length each. Perfect way to get down a mountain 😂 There is still a bit of walking to get down.
There are tons of hiking trails that we didn't try, but it covers a huge area, so there is something for everyone.
Michael S. Bendtsen — Google review
Great staff here, even intervenes when some people undertake in the queue or try to reserve a 'place'. They even stayed open after closing time because the queue was so long. If only people didn't stop on the track and honor the rules waiting times would be less.
Pieter-Jan van Strien — Google review
Great fun to ride the Alpine Coaster! Nice speed and cornering force as the track winds downd the mountain. Beautiful views and a nice ride back on the cable car.

Very nice experience with this slide, my daughter and wife were super happy. despite the fact that we stood in line for about 40 minutes, the descent was worth it! Great memories are guaranteed.
The vast, artificial Lake Reschensee is a popular spot for visitors to enjoy the stunning views and peaceful surroundings. The steeple of an submerged church can be seen above the waterline, and underwater villages are home to many interesting creatures.
Went in late December and the lake was frozen! Not sure hard enough to walk on, but still, looked very cool. The church tower of course is the main sight. There is a walking path around at least one side of the lake. Parking at various sites, paid. Recommend!

Beautiful lake surrounded with mountains. A lot of hiking options and also (most remarkable for me!) - possibility for snow-kiting in winter when lake is covered with thick ice. Season is around late January - early March, but depends on ice coverage and winds. Alternatively smaller lake nearby can be frozen earlier.
Rents and kite-schools are also available.

Lake Resia is the biggest lake of South Tyrol and an artificial reservoir. Up to the year 1950, there were three lakes in this area: Lake Resia, Lake Curon and Lake San Valentino alla Muta. When the reservoir was dammed after the construction of the dam wall (1947-1949), the locality of Curon Venosta as well as much of Resia were flooded and destroyed. The only remnant of old Curon is the steeple, which still towers out of the waters and is nowadays a historical landmark.

The Price you have to Pay to ride an entire Day is 24 €. At the top you have Access to sertant Hiking routes and a Mountainbike Park. The Trails in the Bikepark are very nice, beginners and pros can ride here! Sadly the trails are mostly out of gravel, and this is one of your biggest Enemies as a Mountainbiker..

Great place for sledding....but newbies take all the necessary precautions and proper clothing. The sledding tracks offer some challenges.....you might fall off few times due to steep hair pin bends. Always tie the sledge to your wrist, else it might slip and go in the valley below. For Young children , parents should first access the risks and helmets should be mandatory

(Translated by Google) First of all: the photos come from the highly recommended mountain hut. You can sit very comfortably here, either in the warm Stübli or in the winter garden, which is quite cool in winter, with a fantastic view. The menu leaves nothing to be desired, even the little ones are catered for.
Downer: 1. The sun shines on the other side of the mountain.
2. There is no ski run.
3. The toboggan runs were closed.
4. The winter hiking trails were closed - all for no apparent reason.
So overall there are little to no possible activities apart from the short walk to the lookout point.
One exception: Families with children are well served here; there is plenty of scope for activity and experimentation, especially in summer. Today a few families took the opportunity for short sleigh rides as the slopes were closed.
(Original)

The ski resort Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis is a great spot for families with beginner and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. There are plenty of slopes suited to everyone, as well as some challenging runs and terrain for freeriders. The lifts climb up to an very snow-sure 2,820 m height.
Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis is a very nice ski area. Serfaus has a nice metro line to bring you to the 3 gondels (Komperdellbahn, Alpkopfbahn and Sunliner) which bring you to the main ski slopes from where you can go further into the SFL area to explore more of the area. I would go back here!
Petrik Bekink — Google review
Lovely place. But the exit piste from a lot of lifts is so skinny and there are so many bad skiiers there it turns to mogals before 11am. Super crowded also to get the gondola I went today at 10am 3/3/22 and the que for the bottom Gondola was 15 mins. On the mountain about 5 mins for chair lifts. So crowded any skinny piste which there are a lot just gets nailed by the snow plow brigade and there ski instructors snaking down the piste. Black runs are great, and there is a lot of them. Attached photos of que!
Also parking, €5 per day, even if you ski. I have a tirol card season ticket. And on asking the Kassa about a refund which every other skifield that I'm aware of that charge for parking refund parking charges for season ticket holders. And some even for day pass skiiers. This place does not. What a joke. For this place, it's all about the money they can ring out from tourists.

Very beatiful.
Not many blue's and quite steep.
Many restaurants.
Yuval Meidan — Google review
Absolutely beautiful and charming place. There are a lot of pistes of all types, which is great. In high season it gets very busy and the blue pistes in Serfaus end up being quite destroyed halfway through the day, due to less experienced skiers and being the only way back to the bottom of the mountain, so getting back at the end of the day can be a challenge, but overall it is really a fun place to spend your ski holidays!
Leonor Santos — Google review
The pistes are great and it’s a super family friendly area. Great for kids. Nice restaurants and animations all around. Fun parks and playgrounds. Pricing still reasonable. Ski school not that great in Serfaus itself. We will come again.
Philipp — Google review
Large resort, not so expensive as they say (61 euro per day), mostly red and black slopes which are great but not for carving lovers, lots of people and kids above Serfaus, the Fiss area is great though, fresh snow overnight changed the slopes into a challenge. Absolutely love the Cube !!
Dita Valentinova — Google review
One of the worlds best ski resorts and arguably the very best for families. An exhaustive network of runs that are nicely favored to intermediate skiers. The mountain restaurant huts are modern yet traditional in style with fantastic meals and service. The infrastructure is very modern and well maintained. And value is probably the best around when you throw it all together. But most of all, this place goes out of its way to keep the kids happy.

Disappointing Experience at Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis Ski Centre
Edit after owner's reply.
yes, the lifts on top were closed because of the wind, that makes sense and it is the only right call. I am talking about the conveyor belts that were not working and looking at the app they were checked as open. The idea of the missing snow at the belts came from the observation on spot. As well the area marked as boarderclub was operational but FAR from the description. ETC.
I love the place, I believe you are trying to do your job properly. I JUST HATE false advertising and that is something I have experienced and spent money on.
Review:
I regret to say that our family's experience at the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis Ski Centre was deeply disappointing, primarily due to misleading information regarding the operational status of lifts, conveyor belts, and pistes. Before purchasing our 3-day passes, we were assured that all facilities were open and operational. This assurance played a significant role in our decision to choose Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis for our family ski trip.
However, on the second day of our visit, we were surprised to find that many of the conveyor belts and pistes were closed—not due to adverse weather conditions, but rather due to a lack of snow. This closure significantly impacted our experience, as the options for skiing were severely limited, contrary to what we had been led to believe at the time of purchase.
It's disheartening to feel that the centre prioritizes ticket sales over providing accurate and transparent information to visitors. Families like ours plan and look forward to these trips, making decisions based on the information provided by the ski centre. It's crucial for such establishments to offer reliable and honest information regarding their operational status, especially when it influences visitors' decisions to such a great extent.
This experience has unfortunately tarnished our view of Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis Ski Centre, and we find it hard to recommend it to others without cautioning them about our experience. Transparency and honesty are paramount in hospitality and service industries, and in this instance, Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis did not meet these basic standards.

Overall it is good place for skiing. One drawback is that slopes wasn't well prepared every day. Maybe because of weather - it was too warm ... Snow parks was also in moderate condition.

What a place! If you have kids there is a million things to do with them. Interactive walks, ponds to swim in and playgardens everywhere.
For MTB it has some of the best DH tracks I have seen. With a jumpline at the bottom and a great bike store.
The whole area has more then 100 km of enduro and DH tracks.
Upscale hotel with lake-views, offering free breakfast & a stylish spa with an indoor pool.
Great location and what a view! Really good facilities and fantastic food. Would love to come back sometime soon.

The staff is very friendly and always welcomes you with a smile.
The food is very well prepared, the vegetable buffets are very varied and plentiful.
The simple but functional relaxation area.
Our room was lake front with a beautiful view. The only negative note is the bathroom furniture which clashes a bit with the rest of the environment.

Il cibo è molto curato, i buffet di verdure molto vario e abbondante.

The hotel is very old, our room was a disaster, the bathroom was even worse. In many places there are significant defects in the building structure and furnishings. I would also like to mention the good cuisine, the dishes were very tasty and varied.

Wir waren Gäste in 3. September Woche.
Highline179 is an exhilarating pedestrian suspension bridge that spans 406 meters over a river gorge, connecting the castle ruins of Ehrenberg with Fort Claudia in Reutte. Adjacent to the Burg, this thrilling bridge offers visitors the sensation of floating as they walk across its narrow and open construction. The bridge stands at a height of 114 meters above the ground and provides stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
Beautiful views and fascinating castle fortress ruins. Also handy to a wonderful restaurant!
The bridge bounced a bit but very secure and doesn't swing uncontrollably. Beautiful views of the ruins from this vantage point. Looking forward to visiting again. About an hour drive from Innsbruck. You could spend a few hours or whole day exploring this historic site.
Kevin W — Google review
The bridge has Beautiful view of Alps. The bridge is hanging and it’s a thrilling experience!
If you are planning to go by public transport, avoid public holidays because the bus / train have less frequency and you may not get a proper connection. Getting a taxi is also tough if you need more than one taxi.
On other days, it’s pretty easy to reach and the route is very scenic.
Rasika Vartak — Google review
Do not miss this spot! This was my 3rd time here because the view is incredible. It's easy to spend a few hours here between the ruins and bridge. If you're afraid of heights, i at least recommend seeing the Ehrenburg ruins at the minimum. It's spectacular to see with the view over Reutte.
Alex Kovac — Google review
Summary: beautiful views, very wobbly, thrilling, worth the price.
Details:
🅿️ A very large parking area with enough space for hundreds of cars, it gets quite busy though so you may not be able to park close to the entrance.
🎟️ You buy tickets inside the tourist area, and the workers speak great English! Tickets are ~€15 for access to the lift up, the bridge and the first castle ruins. Great price for all that’s included.
🚾 toilets are located next to the lift that takes you up, and they cost €1 to use. They’re spacious and well kept though.
🛗 the lift up is robust and feels very sturdy with excellent views on the ascent. There are hand rails to hold onto for stability.
🏰 the ruins are up very steep hills and are not accessible to those with mobility issues, but they are great to walk around. Interesting boards in English describe their history.
🌁 the bridge itself was an awesome experience. You can see through the bottom the whole way, and if you go on a windy day as I did, it really does wobble a lot. The views are immense but my partner was very scared with his fear of heights. You exit the same way, so you have to walk over it twice!
Lauren Austin — Google review
It’s a bit of adrenaline full place, depends if you like high view, literally from the sky to the bottom. Place is really nice and ticket are not too expensive. I would even recommend to walk to the bridge - it’s is around 15-20 mins and possible even for kids. Otherwise you can take lift. Parking is big enough, if it’s not high season it should be enough place for all. Like it!
Ales Kus — Google review
This is a great tourist attraction for a half day's outing. Beware though as it's not for the faint hearted or people afraid of heights.
We took the kids (6 and 4), who thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
For those who don't want to walk for 20-30minbup a steep hill to get to the access point of the bridge there is an elevator, which makes it good for all ages and sizes. If you want to look at the castle on top of the hill you will need some stamina.
Price wise it's rather expensive for a family outing (hence only 4 stars), but worth it, especially when the wind makes the bridge wobble ;-)
For the kids there's a playground and for sustenance there is a restaurant by the parking lot underneath the bridge.
REL SA — Google review
What an amazing experience. You could easily spend there all day exploring the castle, bridge and surrounding area. So much to do and see!
Micha? Niezgoda — Google review
A must go if in the area. You can look down through the bottom. Breath taking and Quite thrilling.
Since it is hanging it moves a bit when you walk. Wide enough to walk on both directtions.
If you are scared of heights this is not an activitie for you.
Toilets and refreshments all the way up. Spectacular view at the castle if you cross the bridge. So happy we stopped even though we were just passing through 😊
Myanne Luxn — Google review
Must visit, well worth the detour!
Pro tip: car parking is €5 for a day, not license plate specific. So once you are about to leave, help someone out who’s heading to the parking meter and give them your parking ticket.
There’s enough to do here to spend hours, we only walked up to the bridge (15 min zigzagging up) and enjoyed the amazing views on top of the bridge. All very safe for younger kids.
But next to that, there’s a picturesque castle, a small kids playground and instead of walking up you can use a fancy funicular.
Marcel van Poeijer — Google review
Awesome. Scary, but absolutely awesome.
I'd recommend being here early if you want to avoid the crowd.
You can walk up in fifteen minutes and buy a ticket either near the buildings below or on top, next to the bridge entry.
Parking is 5 Euro and the bridge entry (for the whole day) is 8 Euro (September 2023).
Dennis S — Google review
The bridge is relatively stable and after 100 meter of excitement the remaining of the walk is with no fear.
The walk on the trail to the bridge is about 25-30 minutes. You can take the non- occupied cable car for additional 9 EUR beside the admittance fee to the bridge of 10 EUR.
The view from the bridge and from the ancient castle near the bridge is great
Eytan Shiran — Google review
Highline 179 is thrilling if you aren't a heights person. If you like heights, no problem. If you don't like heights go on a day that is not windy. If the bridge starts shaking, it's a bit scary. Great views though once you're up there. It's not so bad if you don't look directly down. Look out instead.
Adrianna Tondi — Google review
Absolutely beautiful view from the suspension bridge!! We purchased tickets to the top (it was rainy and windy & we didn’t have time to hike). You can hike to the top to see the castle, but you need tickets to walk across the suspension bridge.
You can buy tickets at the store or you can purchase from the machines by the entrance to the bridge.
Be sure to wear grippy shoes as the hike up has a lot of loose gravel and you will slide.
Tela Royston — Google review
Fantastic place! Advice: if you arrive after 18:00, the elevator does not work. You can climb up by walk, and the bridge is available to visit, however, tickets at the highline entrance can only be payed by cash. You have to go back to the elevator stops (top or bottom), then you can buy tickets by card.

Wow what a bridge! You must visit if you are in the area. Not best for those who don't like heights. It's 406m long 114m height and it wobbles a bit, but is perfectly safe. Apparently its good for 1000 people's weight, however it's limited to 500! A train will take you to the top of you don't want to walk. It's €15 for the bridge and train, Ehrenburg castle and Fort Claudia.

It was great to visit here. It's taller than I imagined, swaying, and scary. But once I crossed over, I got used to going back. I used the elevator to avoid walking up the bridge. An outdoor combination ticket of €15 allows you to use the elevator and the bridge.
caution! There is no toilet upstairs.
There is a vending machine across the bridge.
You can see a very beautiful scenery when you cross the bridge, so please do your best.
Many people crossed the bridge and returned at about 30%. The dog was trembling as he walked. Wheelchair friendly!
Children run across. Children are amused and shake the bridge. It's horrible.
I was worried when the bottom plate would come off. But maybe the bottom plate won't come off.

Great spot, definitely recommend a visit.
With a car.
Do not recommend catching a bus there.
We had to walk 45 minutes to the nearest bus stop to get back to Reutte.
Still worth it though.

What a thing!
For someone with a acute fear of heights it's the last place you want to go. It's terrifying!
But, with the help of my wife, I pinned my eyes to the top of the trees and held on to the handrails. I made it.
So, yes, it is possible, for anyone.
Go there. You won't be disappointed.

We really enjoyed our trip to Ruette and our walk across this fabulous foot bridge. The views of the mountains, the castle, and valley are breathtaking. It also makes visiting the Claudia castle much easier.

The cable car to the top was offline the day we went so we had to walk up the trail. A fairly steep walk, but vermuch worth it. The suspension bridge felt very safe and it was a thrill to go across. The views are spectacular. We also toured the old castle and forts. And took the 2nd cable car (working) to the top. Beautiful experience.

Definitely not for people who are scared of heights! But if your a thrill seekers this should be up your ally. Great opportunity for photos . Bridge is very shaky but definitely an endorphin high once you reach the other side making the way back no so bad 😅

Wonderful place for a short hiking. We hiked here from the hospital parking lot in the other side. Took the gear lift to the top of a ruin. It was foggy and rainy but was fun. Highline hanging bridge costs 10 EUR for round trip. The gear lift is 8 EUR for up and down which is fairly cheap.

This was an incredible experience!! The views are spectacular, and it was a nice, enjoyable, short, but a little steep hike up the mountain. You may want to check on that if you go if you are not into that. The elevator was not running.
Cameron Rich — Google review
This place is absolutely beautiful! Parking is an open parking lot and you can pay with your card there. It's only €5/ day! You can decide to use the lift to go up or you can hike both to Fort Claudia or the other castle. The view is spectacular and we had a wonderful time exploring!

Highline179 is an architectural wonder in Reutte, Austria, offering an unforgettable experience. Spanning 406 meters, it stands as one of the longest pedestrian suspension bridges globally, connecting Ehrenberg Castle Ruins to Fort Claudia, suspended at 114 meters above the ground.
Walking this bridge promises an adrenaline rush and unparalleled panoramic views of mountains, valleys, and the charming town of Reutte. However, it's important to note that strollers or prams aren't permitted for safety reasons.
This attraction is open 365 days a year, from 8 AM to 10 PM. Conveniently, there's ample parking available at the base. You have the option to hike up or purchase tickets from Ehrenberg Liner. One downside is that only cash payments are accepted, so be prepared.
Highline179 seamlessly combines adventure and stunning vistas but remember, plan ahead if you're bringing young children and ensure you have cash on hand for ticket purchases.

Medieval castles lovers, this is the place for you.
Want to experience heights on a suspended bridge, the longest one they say, this is the place for you. And the views are typical for Austria, just stunning.
There are 3 castles here that are rich with local history, the bridge connects 2 of them.
Lots of interesting explanations as you go.
There is a coffee shop down at the info and tickets center to refresh.
Toilets are located near the coffee shop and also up near the gates of the oldest castle.
There is a playground in a medieval style for children, near the old castle, so they can wait there with an adult while the other is climbing the ruins.
We spent here 2.5 lovely hours and loved every minute here.
Slava Mironov — Google review
It is a great location, but it is not for those with height problems. The view from there is special. The ticket to go up with the funicular is more expensive than the entrance to the bridge, but you can also go up walking (about 45-50 minutes)

This bridge is incredible. A little scary at first but once you get going, it is great . You cannot beat the views. I took the gondola up for the quickest route since I was limited on time. Total cost with the gondola and bridge access was 19 Euro. Do not miss this!!

Füssen Altstadt is a charming and fairly small pedestrian center with quaint shops, cafes, and picturesque squares. The old Apotheke building on the main street and the fountain at the far end are notable attractions. This traditional southern town offers delightful restaurants, cafes, and dessert shops. Visitors can explore historic sites like Hohes Schloss and the Benedictine Monastery of St. Mang while enjoying a music parade in the afternoon.
Old part of cities never disappoints you. Instead, they welcome you in their comfort and cosy world.

Beautiful old town with well-preserved historical buildings, including the pompous former St. Mang's Abbey and the so-called "Höhes Schloss", and a captivating natural landscape along the Lech River.

The old town is incredible and very rich in atmosphere - it feels like going back in time. A small recommendation - if you go there, go when the weather is a bit worse. I went when it was raining a bit and the streets were empty - that's the best way to experience it in my opinion.

Füssen Altstadt keeps the traditional southern vibes. It is the main place of the town and it has nice restaurants, cafes, and dessert shops all around. The music parade at the afternoon was also great. There are other things to see, such as Hohes Schloss. Definitely must-visit place of the town.

Very recreational town with the beautiful castles and lake. In town lots of great restaurants.
Fussen is the recommended place to come for sure!! You can't miss this Bavarian town.
Hohenschwangau Castle, a neo-Gothic summer residence of King Ludwig II, was built by his father atop 12th-century ruins left by Schwangau knights. It has a distinctly lived-in feel with ornately furnished state rooms, where every piece of furniture is an original. The palace is far less showy than Neuschwanstein and features stars painted on the ceiling of Ludwig's bedroom.
Wow! Worth a visit for everyone. Again, you can't take any pics inside but plenty of photo ops outside of the castle and the surrounding scenery. My advice is get there as early as possible, past 10am it gets ridiculously busy. Tickets are timed so it's all very orderly. You can walk up to the castle, but I'd suggest taking the bus from the car park, you can then walk off to the right and go on the bridge, it's then a 5 min walk up to the castle. There's a shop, loos and lockers for bags. There are also loos once you're into the main courtyard. As of Aug '22 you need to wear a mask inside, but they do sell them at the info desk for €2 each. After you can walk down the hill or take a horse drawn cart (€4ea) but it takes the same amount of time. Plenty of options for eating and drinking around the car park. If you walk along the road past the car park, with it on your right, you'll be treated to an amazing blue lake nestled amongst mountains. Stunning.

Beautiful castle walls and towers. There is a rich story (thanks to the amazing castle guide) on how King Ludwig designed and innovated the castle with electricity and even a lift ! Will consider this castle visit more of to accomplish a checklist if you are staying in Munich and not really a wow-must-visit attraction.
Fernando Sarael — Google review
The tour was fascinating and our tour guide was very knowledgeable and sweet. It was an "audio-tour" so we were given a history of the castle and the family in English, but our tour guide was fluent in English and German. She added so many other neat tidbits and facts to really personalize the tour.
NOTE: It is limited to the queen's chambers and ladies' rooms/the king's chambers and the knights' rooms, so much of the castle is not included in the tour. The kitchen is located in the back of the gift shop and is a neat sight as well.
We booked our tickets online. If you do the same (and I suggest you do as it often sells out!) make sure you give yourself ample time to find parking and walk up to the castle. We got there 20 minutes early and were cutting it close.
The lady at the entrance to the tour was not very nice at all. She was the one negative to the whole experience.
NOTE: LOTS OF WALKING - wear your good shoes.

Great castle to visit. We had a nice guided visit with an audio guide in English and a guide to answer questions. It was interesting and didn't take too long. Our group was only composed of 4 people, us included, so it was really nice. Great view from the castle too and a quick bus ride from and to Füssen. Be sure to check the return bus schedule as they are not really frequent.

This year my husband and I decided to do castle tours in Germany. Yesterday we visited Hohenschwangau, (our 3rd castle visited in 2 days). I love the vibrant color of the exterior. It has a beautiful courtyard with a pretty fountain and landscape. Too bad it was raining which prevented us from taking some amazing photos of the castle and spending more time in the courtyard. This castle along with many others does not allow photography during the tour. King Maximilian II commissioned the construction of this castle. It has 50 rooms, rooms are small and have less decor than some of the other castles around. Overall it is a beautiful castle, overlooking the town below, and the mountains. I advised repurchasing the tour tickets ahead of time, less hassle. Guided tour comes in multiple languages. Our tour guide spoke English well.
P Hok — Google review
Amazing castle - more finished inside than Neuschwanstein. You can freely walk around, up to the castle and around the courtyard however you'll need tickets to go inside with a tour. Worth the visit here if you're in Fussen.
Mat Bienczyk — Google review
The summer residence of the kings, the interior of the castle has been perfectly maintained since they ruled here. Each room has fantastic murals depicting fairy tale legends still original to when they were painted and not showing any aging. To get inside you need a ticket for the 30minute guided tour.
Andrew — Google review
Bring a swimsuit 👙🩲 to swim in the lake after the tour! An impressive castle on the inside, and a nice exterior view especially from the lake. The forced guided tour only shows you a fraction of the castle 🏰 but it's enough to get a sense of how the knights and royalty lived here.
Alan Czajkowski — Google review
If you want to visit inside, booking in advance is a must. The tour inside is about 35 to 40 minutes, about 17 people per group. You can't take photos or anything, and you couldn't even spend enough time to appreciate the art and paintings due to they're kind of pushing to finish the tour.
The price of the ticket is rather expensive for what you will get.
For someone who doesn't have much interest in history or low budget. I would recommend Just go to look around outside the castle instead, it's very beautiful views and free.

Such an idyllic setting, it is a must see when undertaking the Romantic Drive in Bavaria, Germany. Visited in early May 23 and found it to be a fantastic attraction.
The day we got to visit was a little drizzly but it set the scene for a rather romantic time to do the tour through the castle. Our tour guide was a fun guy and added to the tour. Entry is by way of booked tickets and the whole process of visiting the castle is done quite precisely. You won't be disappointed.

Stunning, inside and out, with beautiful architecture and a rather interesting history. The grounds and castle are well maintained. Museum tour system was the most organized I’ve ever seen.
Sarah Hartman — Google review
Interesting castle to visit, the architecture of the castle is kind of stunning even though it is not as picturesque as its neighbour Neuschwanstein from the outside.
The tour of the interior of the castle is 30-40 minutes long and you will be able to see 8 rooms of the castle. It isn't the best castle tour, but it's kind of expected since this is a 200 years old castle with not much history.

Must see castle in the Bavarian mountains. I highly recommend this castle tour over the neighbouring castle. Being much older than the larger castle next to it, the tour is much more interesting with some great insights and juicy stories from many centuries ago.

The place was nice but very crowded on the weekend. The train and buses were loaded and the long queues everywhere. Would recommend taking a walk of the Alpensee located near by. It gives beautiful water reflection of the castles

Great place to visit for a day trip to Southern Germany.
This castle was built in the 1800s by King Maximillian II. His son Ludwig lived there as a child and built the more photogenic castle across the valley when he was older.
This particular castle is very well preserved. All of the furniture is still inside. It’s almost as if the residence simply went away for the weekend and let you come in to take a look at it!
It is still privately owned, thus they do not allow any photographs to be taken inside. My wife and I found it interesting that the queen and king each had their own separate floor of the castle, however there is a secret staircase that connects their bedrooms for conjugal visits!
The Neuschwanstein Castle is a 19th-century hilltop fortress constructed for King Ludwig II. The castle, which resembles Disney's Sleeping Beauty Castle, was created to recreate the world of Germanic mythology inspired by Richard Wagner's operatic works. The Sängersaal or Minstrels Hall is the most stunning room in the castle, with frescoes depicting scenes from Tannhäuser opera.
From the car park to reach the castle you can walk or take a ride with the bus or carriage. The tickets to get inside the castle are at the base, where the transportation is. Unfortunately I couldn't visit it inside as I didn't had enough time to wait one hour and a half for the next group tour. But next time I'll be more prepared for this. Even so seeing the castle surroundings was a very nice experience. You have plenty of nice views and lots of nice spots to take beautiful pictures.

Absolutely amazing location! This castle is just like from the fairytale! Take Romantic route when going there- you will enjoy beautiful countryside views and a lot of cows on the road! Castle itself located on the hill and reaching it by foot will take some 20-30 minutes. But you can take bus or horse ride there also! Tickets to enter the castle should be booked in advance- otherwise you will enjoy only from the outside, as we did!
Denis Nikolajev — Google review
It was a beautiful place but lots of hiking and it's difficult to find the spot where you can take an instagram worthy photo of the castle and even if you do, you will have to wait in line for 40 minutes to get there. It's so crowded in August that instead of enjoying the place, you will get a headache. But minus the crowd, it's a wonderful place!

Beautiful place!! I went near the end of November and it was snowy. Not all restaurants were open but there were enough to get a bit to eat. Easy walk around the area; both castles and the lake. Two viewpoints were blocked off because of the snow which was disappointing but understandable. The snow made it magical but if you want to see all sides of the castle go in warmer weather. It is about a 25 minute tour of the castle and you cannot take pictures or video inside. I used the GetYourGuide app to book a full day tour from Munich and it was a comfortable easy way to go! It is about a 30-40 minute walk up a paved path to the Castle so wear comfortable shoes. You have to sign up for a tour time so as to not overcrowd the castle. Lockers are accessible near the entrance of the castle and plenty of gift shops. Check this one off the bucket list!

I love coming back to this castle. It has something magical about it. I’ve seen it in all four seasons and each season has its own beauty. However the negative side of going there in winter is that the bridge where you could take good pictures of the castle could be closed due to weather conditions.
From the parking lot to the foot of the entrance, you can take a horse drawn carriage which cost at present eight euros per person for each direction. However, you can also walk it, which takes a good 20 minutes. From there it’s another 10 to 15 minute walk to the actual entrance of the castle.
I find the tour to be a bit short. I took a tour a few years ago where it was longer, but I suppose they no longer offer that. I do enjoy having a cup of coffee and cake inside a castle, though after the tour.

The castle is beautiful! Too bad that on the inside you can’t take pictures.
On the outside you’re one step from the alps, trees and 2 beautiful lakes that make the place look like taken out of a book.
The walls, ceiling, and ornaments are wonderful, of course like every castle is full of amazing stuff

What can anyone say about the world famous fairytale castle Neuschwanstein. It is stunning and surreal in person. The tour is well worth but make sure to book in advance. Getting to it is a challenge but no matter the method it is inexpensive. Even the horse drawn carriages was 7 euros a person. Many still walked, even in the rain.
The story around the castle is fascinating and sad. It was far from done when King Ludwig was killed. Only can imagine what it would be if he could have finished it.
Stayed in the nearby town of Fussen. Such a lovely place. Would not stay near the Castles as there is not much to do.

I had been wanting to visit for many years since my first visit to Bavaria. I'm glad I did as it is, obviously, a very impressive and beautiful building set in fantastic scenery.
No pictures are permitted to be taken while on the tour itself. Obviously some people still try, but thankfully the staff are quick to stop them.
Tours are run on a timed entry system and conducted with audio guides. Surgical masks are required. Homemade/cloth masks are not permitted. If you try to enter without a mask, or with a cloth mask, you will be made to pay €4 for an accepted one.
Buy your tickets ahead of time. A limited number of day tickets are available at the tourist centre in Schwangau (no tickets are available for purchase at the castle itself) but they go very quickly.
Don't miss the view from Marienbrucke before going into the castle itself.
Small cafe on site after the tour. Not bad, not great.
Gift shop has usual kind of trinkets and is pricey.

We purchased our tickets in advance and printed them at home. They are timed and you can only enter the inside of the castle 10 minutes before the "tour" starts. I recommend getting the first tour of the day because the parking lots fill up and it gets hot in the summer.
We caught a bus from parking lot #4 up to the top of the hill. You pay on the bus - cash only - a few euros per person. From there we walked to a bridge with an excellent view of the castle and took some photos. We then walked to the castle and waited for our tour to start. We had an audio guided tour which was very informative. This castle is stunning, beautifully preserved and cared for. It's definitely a bucket list place to visit. After our tour we walked back downhill to our car. Highly recommend visiting this castle.

There is plenty of parking and restaurants and cafes to eat and get drinks from there are also souvenir shops inside the castle . And the place is very crowded so if you can get there early . You cannot bring any bags inside and also no cameras . But do not miss being inside the mad kings castle .

Amazing palace in an amazing location between plains, lakes and high mountains. It looks medieval but is modern. Worth any voyage to come experience it and its surroundings.
Not that easy to get to but the climb/walk only adds to the luster of your visit. Reservations run out weeks in advance in summer so plan your visit well.
The bridge is best but not for the faint-hearted. I only go up a bit to take the amazing pictures of the castle, mountains, plain and lake.
We did not enjoy coming with a disabled person. We booked for a disabled person and an accompanying adult but:
1. You can't get to the front gate without climbing
2. You can't use the elevators in the castle unless you have a separate ticket for it, which I was not told about
3. The horse carriage stops running at 6pm even though we were told it would run until after our tour finished, so my mother had to hitch a ride back in an employee's car. If none had been available, she would have had to spend the night on the mountain somehow.

A very beautiful castle! The old markings and objects within the halls and rooms are outstandingly stunning. This castle tells its story very well and the tourer guides explain every detail down to a fine art, giving a clear picture of who owned the castle and how it functioned. The view is so striking and the area around is a very nice and cute town, reflecting the castles beauty from above and below. Would recommend a visit!

Visiting the castle must be planned in advance by purchasing tickets on the website. The experience is unique. If the weather is good (no rain or fog) you will get wonderful photographs of the view of the Castle, the lake and the city itself, which is very charming. On the way to the Castle and minutes before the center you can find good restaurants. I recommend the tour!

Gorgeous. Magnificent. Outstanding. Breathtaking. Impressive.🤩
There could be other dozens of way to describe this gem, easily.
The best sights are gotten from the Marienbrucke.
From the inside it was never finished so there are two storeys empty and the visit is somehow rather short accordingly.

Beautifully crafted structure. A masterpiece on its own. You can book tickets online. You can park the vehicle and then take a bus or the horse carriage to reach the Castle. 10 mins walk from the Bus stop. The scenery around it is absolutely stunning. Weather is just perfect on December, around 10 degree C and not too mild. Entrance fee may not justify the price as it is only a 5 min tour esp for someone had seen next level wall painting like in Vatican.

It's a beautiful place, but everything is made in order for you to pay a bit more.

Give yourself plenty of time for photos and taking in the breathtaking views. September was a stunning time to visit. The castle is beautiful but the views from the castle are even more spectacular. Incredible Castle (inside and outside) is a must if you are in Bavaria. The only negative point would be that there is not much time to appreciate in the castle tour.

Also, recommend to go to the bridge (20min walk from castle) perfect castle view and the wait is not that long just really crowded.

First time visiting real castle. So good! Definitely worth visiting if you are in Munich. We went for a day tour, very very informative so you can understand the history! Tons of excitement and good architectural. Castle was built by limestone. I visited on the winter time.
Heard that when it’s summer, more sunlight, it makes the castle shines due to the limestones structure.

Absolutely a rip-off, don’t take the €20 tour of the castle, you are climbing almost 200 stairs during the tour and it’s not worth it. The castle’s gift shops rips you off as well, the place mats were €7 in the first gift shop, then it was down to €5 in the second one on the way to exit. The view is nice, breathtaking but that’s just it. A very touristic place. Not worth it. Instead you can enjoy the view and have lunch in the restaurants maybe…just an idea…

Worth a tour of the interior to see the artistry and hear about its inception. The tour wasn’t long and was a large group, leaving slower wanderers or those with more questions a bit rushed. But worth it! If uncertain of the signs for where to start your hike, you can follow the road that the carriages take. Also hiking to the view from the bridge is a must!

This place is a great location, you have free parking and can walk around the castle at night and early morning before anyone’s around.
However it’s really more of a hostel, we had to share a bathroom and toilet and there was no kettle and a very basic bed, all okay for an overnight but nothing special
Breakfast was very nice and staff team lovely.

We were so excited to stay at Aqua Dome and it didn’t disappoint! We were blown away by the facilities and available activities. We stayed a week and wish we could of stayed longer. There were so many things we wish we had time to do. The activities the hotel organizes were really interesting and a nice touch to get outside and explore.
The spa is incredible! It does get busy on the weekends but the weekdays were so peaceful and perfect.

Only bit of feedback would be that we occasionally had some difficulties getting the correct answer about things we asked. But not too big of a deal.

Finally, the location in the valley, surrounded by majestic peaks, takes your breath away. A hiker’s paradise.
We are looking forward to returning, next time for a longer stay!

This place is just amazing! Great spa, amazing staff, everything is perfectly clean. The mountain around are impressive. You will find yourself surrounded by 3000m peaks. A place out of this world. Definitely one of the best hotels I ever stayed in my life.

Beautiful location and excellent facilities. It is a bit spread out and takes time to find all the saunas.
We booked 3 hours and offered sauna for €9 at reception and glad we took the offer, sauna is best part of complex.
Rich — Google review
It looks nice until you see the ratio between the quality/price. For the prices they charge, you get very little. All the pools are 35°C except for one which is 28-30°C. The sauna is charged extra as well. SPA3000 is also charged extra. So for 60€ you can stay in the pool at 35°C, for 75€ you can also go to the sauna.
The only upside to this spa is the location.
Maraloiu Alex — Google review
We did not stay at the hotel. We got a relax day pass. The cost was about $100 euro per a person. I thought it was absolutely worth it. You get access to all the pools and saunas. It also includes breakfast, 2 snacks, and a discounted lunch. They have additional snacks and drinks available for extra $. It is worth the price for the views alone. I could t even believe the breath taking views from the water. They have multiple temperature pools. My favorite was the salt pool, by far. This place is 100% focused on relaxing so bring a book and find your inner peace. They have additional spa treatments and messages for an additional charge but they were completely booked the day we went. If you’re looking for a day to relax, this is the place to do it.
I will mention as an American in use to scolding hot water so the water wasn’t as hot as I would have loved it but it was still very warm. Also, a large of areas are naked friendly so if you’re bothered by that do NOT go.

This was an experience of a life time! We absolutely loved our stay. The rooms, food, service and of course the thermal pools were absolutely phenomenal! To be in outdoor pools and look at the mountains is it!
We also walked to the Haengebrücke (hanging bridge) that was close by, that experience was incredible as well.. must do!
10 out of 10 recommendations for sure!!

if you wanna have a relaxing stay don’t go on a weekend between 12:00-18:00…it’s too crowded and loud everywhere. you’ll find kids in all pool areas playing ball and screaming (except for the sauna area, of course)…it’s more like a public swimming pool than a spa :D
Rafael T — Google review
I was in the thermal bats. Loved the view over there. There were 6 areas to swim but it was enough for us as a couple :) kids can use the slides on the other side of this thermal bats. There are enough options to chill but on the weekend many of the couches are occupied. You have to pay after the visit with your cabinet key. Also important to mention for me as vegan - that they are 2 food options to eat :) all in all I loved it there and would come again.

Certainly a great experience. We were there for our honeymoon. The staff were extremely friendly, they attended to our need from the time we checked in to the moment we checked out. There were so many pods to check out, and so many places to relax during the day and late in the evening. Highly recommended. One of our favorite place to visit. Thank you

Its a must to visit and stay at when in Austria.
The swimming pools are amazing, its hard to swim out side even in July, it was freezing.
The rooms are huge with great view.
I was single in the room ans I paid for king size bed, the gave me a room with 2 seperated beds!!
The dinner was extra ordinary and the service was more like 5 stars plus hotel.
Recommended.

The Spa 3000 could be a little bit bigger but other than that, we had a great day. The reserved seats of the deluxe pass are really nice. The food in the sauna area wasn't great but the main restaurant had nice desserts.

A memorable stay.
Rooms were spacious, clean, with complete amenities. Loved the view from the room.
Breakfast (and dinner which were part of the room) had a complete variety of options.
The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive.
The gym was fully equipped.

I am very disappointed about the visit. Price is very high and it is absolutely not worthy of this money. We paid for 3 hours with sauna 120,00€ for two persons. We were on Saturday evening, nobody could first really answer our questions what is included and what not( website for me was not clear about spa300, thermal baths, sauna, swimming poo etc) so we just got our bracelets.
Architectural planning of building is horrible! You walk up and down, through the stairs multiple times, so it is nothing what has something with relax to do… disappointing! place were dirty ( floor all over, also sauna! And the beds in relax lounge) less amount of sauna and not clear statement about the temperature ( 60-90 or 80-100 degrees are for me not clear data) stuff is way too less ( alarm activated ringed in complete area ringed around 12 minutes..) nowhere you can find stuff to ask something..
thermal baths overfilled.
Only plus was enough parking places for free.
I cannot recommend.
People from outside can take pictures of the thermal baths ( picture point) and also of peoples, for me this is a no go 🙅♀️ we were filmed many times. I don’t wish myself that and I was not informed about it by coming in.

Aqua Dome was an amazing experience, from check-in, to visiting the spa, dinner, and comfortable rooms. We received towels, bathrobes, and a handy bag for our spa visit.
There we could experience the big sauna area and had access to the SPA3000 area, which offered drinks, relaxing areas, and even more saunas that one could also enter with a swimsuit.
All in all a very relaxing and enjoyable experience!

A great place with wonderful views. The pools and slides are really nice. A bit sad that the sauna didn't have an option for wearing bathing suits, so I bought tickets I dint use because I am not comfortable with a nudist sauna. The restaurant didn't have much food late in the afternoon.
Nat?lia Imre — Google review
We come to Aqua Dome to swim with our kids few times a year and every time it gets worse and worse. Food , service .. just price gets higher . There is one lifeguard for 2 different areas ! Floors are dirty . For the amount you pay it’s a big shame . So as much as we like to swim in a warm pool , price -quality doesn’t match lately . Hopefully management can take measures ..

June 2023, 4 nights. Can I give this place 6 stars? Why did we have to leave? How soon can we get back? Excellent food and service, the staff is friendly and helpful. Super clean throughout. Outstanding spa facilities. Good value. The weather was cool (forJune) and a bit rainy but it didn’t matter. The inside rest areas, location and views are magical. The only drawback (in the terme, not the hotel) is that they let kids of all ages in the 3 domes. There are more than enough options for kids elsewhere and no reason they should be allowed to go upstairs. Yes I’m a curmudgeon. But seriously, the dome area is for soaking and it’s not a water park.

A really wonderful spa, I bought a relax day package as a solo traveller and it was fantastic. A reserved lounger which breakfast included and additional snacks and access to the saunas. The saunas are really cool too. I loved it

We chose this hotel for our honeymoon - big mistake. A flood occurred during our stay, resulting in the garage being inundated with water. Regrettably, nobody informed us about the situation, leaving our cars submerged in water. It was only after we checked out that we discovered our car was completely destroyed!! We had to arrange for a tow truck ourselves, as no one at the hotel helped us. Furthermore, we were disappointed to find out that the hotel had knowledge of the situation beforehand, even having camera footage of the incident, yet failed to inform us in a timely manner. This lack of communication led to us having to extend our stay for an additional night since our car was no longer operational.
When we requested that the additional night be comped as a gesture of goodwill, given the hotel's failure to communicate and the resulting inconvenience, the hotel's response was less than satisfactory. They directed all further correspondence to their lawyer. The lawyer insisted that the hotel bore no responsibility and urged us to stop seeking compensation.
This was undoubtedly the worst honeymoon, and we are deeply disappointed by the hotel's handling of the situation. As a result, neither we nor our friends and family will be returning to this hotel in the future.

My favourite holiday destination. I’ve been here multiple times since everything is just perfect. The scenery is stunning, especially during winter and the food is absolutely delicious. The ideal place to relax.

The pool area of the Acqua Dome is a great place to relax after your ski or hiking trip. It has different pools, each with a unique way of healing your body. It also has a kids space with a swimming pool and slides. The kids space is separated from the general pool area, this makes relaxing even better, since there are almost no kids. I recommend buying the evening ticket, as it gives you 4 ½ hours in the evening with only a few other people, and the lights of the pools are better in the dark.

Good place to relax - multiple pools and relaxation areas. Heated outdoor and indoor pools.
Service is friendly. Huge family lockers and showers etc. You can hire robes for €10 and towels too.
Biggest challenge was finding a chair/sunbed for a family of 4 if you go a bit later (around 11 am) in the morning. We ended up in a back room on the 3rd floor. Don’t think they enforce the 3 hr rule. Go early to get a decent spot.
Other than that, place is amazing
Definitely visit the cafe - food is fresh, tasty and good value too.

Nice place by design, but the people at the reception were not able to explain how the package prices worked. After all there was a FIRE hopefully no one was hurt, we go 10€ discount that was barely enough and the reception again was very rude… she said 10€ better then getting hurt. Who says that!
I recommend booking online for cheaper price, they also charge u for towels and rope that was together around 18/20€
The price is bit overrated, but the place is nice and pretty small.

Perfect for 1 day relaxing after winter sports, Aqua dome’s full package is some of my highlight of the trip. The location is amazing, day and night, it looks absolutely stunning. I personally love it when they turned the lights on at night, combining with music, the iconic view of the surrounding mountains, soaking in one of their jacuzzi making this experience super magical. The facility is very clean and organized. There are private areas for hotel guests that are not reachable if you don’t book for the night stay.

Quite expensive for what you get. Not crowded in our case, rather opposite, but everyone was in outside pools, leaving not much more space there. Few whirlpool spots inside and outside. One hall designated for small kids, I guess it can be a lot of fun for them there. Boring for older kids as there are only two slides for them, perhaps plus the "river" outside.

Clean, organized, with ample parking, Aqua Dome provides tranquil pools and scenic views. However, prices are steep, and the food is satisfactory. Ideal for relaxation, but consider the costs

Awesome enormous ski area with breathtaking Tyrolean views. Great grooming. Although there were lots of people the last week in February when we were there, the lifts handle the crowds and the slopes were decently uncongested. Just gorgeous.

Big enough for a week's skiing. Very pretty, decent lifts and queues not bad, even in English February half term. Good range of runs. Easy to get from hotel to piste. Would definitely come again

(Translated by Google) Great ski area.
Generally very snow reliable due to the altitude (Hochgurgl is mostly at over 2400 meters; Obergurgl at 2200; the main parts of the area in each case).
A lot of variety in both districts; some black, many red, large blue slopes. Often pull paths to be able to evade difficult places.
Lifts generally modern.
Very good networking; you can switch between the individual lifts very quickly because the slopes form a good network. There is a separate lift between Obergurgl and Hochgurgl that transports you between both parts within 10 minutes; very convenient and saves the bus trip, makes a quick change possible.
(Original)
Tolles Skigebiet.
Generell sehr schneesicher durch Höhenlage (Hochgurgl liegt zumeist bei über 2400 Metern; Obergurgl so bei 2200; jeweils die Hauptteile des Gebiets).
Sehr viel Abwechslung in beiden Ortsteilen; einige schwarze, viele rote, große blaue Pisten.
Perseverence Opportunity — Google review
The pistes (Obergurgl) were half the time in a terrible state (huge bumps all over the place, loose snow). The resort was closed on 6/3/2024, due to heavy snow fall. After being told by someone that I could get a refund for that day, I asked an employee whether I could get my money back. She gave me an email adress and told me I would get a refund if I sent them a picture of my ski pass (just to get rid of me, I guess). I sent them that picture and was promply informed, by miss Nicole Lafer, 'Kassaleitung, Liftgesellschaft Gurgl Ges m.b.H' that 'Unfortunately we do not do a refund just because of closed lifts.' That's as if a train company would say: 'we do not refunds, just because our trains don't run'. Quelle arrogance! I don't know whether a refund is common practice in this case (I think it should be if the entire resort is closed), but you do not promess a refund (because of a closed resort) and then say 'we don't do a refund 'just because of closed lifts'. As an aside: an operator of one of the lifts (hohe mut) was very agressive and even became threatening because I used the lift, a few minutes before closure time.

The area is amazing, but I can’t understand why the tourists are so rude in Gurgl compared to Sölden. They jump the line very aggressively, they don’t stop to help when someone falls and they ski very fast and very close to beginners.

Stift Stams, a Cistercian abbey founded in 1273 by Elizabeth of Bavaria, is a true architectural gem in Tyrol. The ochre-and-white monastery stands out against the backdrop of green mountains and is adorned with flowers, creating a picturesque setting. Inside, the abbey boasts stunning Baroque elements and features, including wrought iron motifs and gold accents related to liturgy. Visitors can explore the beautifully kept church and museum, which houses impressive pieces.
Amazing and beautiful abbey. The whole monastery makes you feel respectful.

Even on a sunny day, this abbey defeats all expectations you could have before or after reading this review. There were flowers on all the right places. There were green mountains as a backdrop for the yellow walls. Inside, wrought iron roses and other motifs did not really obstruct the glory of gold on everything remotely related to liturgy in the paid area we did not enter. We, and our three little children, effortlessly spent two hours there, perusing the parts that were free, and doing a spontaneous family photo session on the sloping lawns.

I stayed here for a week in summer 2022. And I share the enthusiasm of other reviewers. A must see on a visit to Tirol. The Church with its early Baroque elements and other features is particularly stunning and unique.
Eibsee is a beautiful mountain lake located at the foot of Zugspitze Mountain in Bavaria, Germany. The clear waters are inviting and perfect for swimming in the summer months. In addition to its beauty, Eibsee is also a popular hiking destination with a popular loop that includes a lake side restaurant.
Beautiful place with stunning views. You can comfortably hike around the lake in a couple of hours! We went in winter when most of the lake was frozen but was still a sight to behold!

It is located at the foot of the Zugspitze. This lake's water is clear, emerald-green.
We were amazed to see the stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
We enjoyed our lunch on the bank of this beautiful river.
You can swim here but the water is too cold.
You can rent boats and paddle boats on Eibsee. This is a great way to explore the lake and see the surrounding mountains.

A beautiful lake one hour from Munich, with spectacular views, took us 3 hours to go around the lake, benches are available to sit and enjoy the view or have a little bite to eat. The track was not hard with a few uphills but the rest was pretty flat. I truly recommend it.

The most beautiful lake I have ever seen in mountains. I can compare its turquisecolour of waters to Plitvice Lakes. The walk around the lake took over 3 hours for our group 4 to 47 years old people but the omly reason "why so long" is we had to stop every few meters to make a picture or check the sound of bouncing pebble by dropping it to frozen lake. We had big fun admiring the views and brathing clean air a specially it was easy to walk there - almost all the time flat terrain. Even people with baby carts were faster than us ;)

Beautiful is an understatement. It’s mesmerizing from top of Zugspitze and equally gorgeous when you walk down to lake. Calm, clean and picturesque. There is a lot you can do near around like hiking, walking and sitting back and relaxation. On busy days parking can be a challenge as it’s overcrowded being next to Zugspitze. This is a few hours away from Munich. It is recommended to leave early for this place because the roads get pretty congested. The place is famous for its glass-like lake and the hiking trail that goes alongside. There is also a cable car that closes registrations at 12 PM. Make it to this cable car as it takes you to the highest point in Germany. It is recommended to buy tickets in advance if possible.

-I really recommend you come here from early morning, you would want to spend your day there.
-its a 1hour 30 min drive from munich city center
-or you can take the train which takes around 2 -3hours
-You must pass by if you’re visiting Munich
You can walk around the lake for around 2 hours if want to go for a semi hike .
You can sit in the restaurant and enjoy a good meal if you just wanted to enjoy the nature.
You can take the cable car 🚠 or the train 🚂 to go to the Zugspitze.
There are options of all day ticket for around 60 euros where you can go up and back military times.
If you want to go skiing they have shops where you can rent the equipment just before you reach the cable car station.

Located in the Austrian Tyrol, Stubai Glacier is a popular ski destination known as the "Kingdom of Snow." It offers a variety of trails for skiers and snowboarders, including challenging terrain like bowls and chutes. The highest point in the area is Zuckerhutl at 3,505 meters. Visitors can enjoy on-mountain dining and stunning views while skiing down one of Stubai's longest runs, which stretches over six miles.
My first snow experience! There's a cable car to the top then go up few staircases. Take your time as you may feel a little bit dizzy because of the altitude. Must see!

Advices for 1st timer / non-skiing experiences
1) First of all, please buy the guided tour in advance. Don't proceed to rent the ski clothes/ equipment until you manage to get a guided ski tour. It is impossible to ski without guidance.
2) Please reach the place in the early morning, so that you have time to try & wear on all the skiing gears.
3) Research on how to dress/ what to prepare/ What to Pack Skiing! Please buy a pair of ski goggles from your hometown (is cheaper compare to get it onsite), as the rental do not included it.
4) If schedule allowed, just slot-in 2 days for skiing. Half-day is like wasting your time. You wont be able to learn or enjoy the fun of skiing.
Here is our terrible plan as we have no clue of what to prepare / expect for our 1st skiing:
- we reach the place at 11am to have a lunch first
- after 12pm we go to get our rental ski gear (try & wear)
- almost 1pm, after we are fully gear on, we went to the ski tour place wanna to buy a tour package, but was informed that last tour ended at 1pm
Basically, we spent euro 200++ to rent the ski clothes and gears, but we didn't get to learn to ski.... It is difficult to walk on the snow, we cannot move much and keep struggling at the same spot.

Magnificent, unbeatable views. Just gorgeous. Do pay attention! Somewhere near restaurant Eisgrat at 2900m there's a sign that has a handwritten addition which says the hike to Dresdner Hütte at 2300m takes 1.5 hours. This is incorrect. It takes at least twice that. It is a difficult hike and the person who added this to the sign should be imprisoned or at least firmly slapped.

One of the best ski resorts in Austria.
Many slopes and many cable cars that you can use. The high altitude keeps much snow and the conditions are usually very good.
The slopes are wide. As a ski instructor I can totally recommend this resort.
There is a snow park for freestyle, many freeride areas and also the ski resort is beginner friendly. Ski schools right to the up gamsgarten stations. A lot of Intersport shops that you can rent equipment at good prices.
Restaurants with self service and a la carte menu, that you can choose from.
Ski buses coming and leaving very often and almost each one are free with the skipasses.
No need of a car.

The Stubai Glacier, nestled in the Austrian Alps, offers a captivating blend of breathtaking landscapes and thrilling skiing experiences. With its high-altitude location, the glacier provides reliable snow conditions throughout the season, making it a haven for winter sports enthusiasts.

This is our first trip to Dubai and it definitely met or beat expectations. Pretty decent snow considering the rest of the valleys nearby. Didn't have much of anything. Nice to rain. Nice facilities and lift tickets weren't super expensive. Would have been much more pleasurable had the whole valley had snow but definitely a place. I'll go back to maybe even the season
A very small village which is built around the church and convent. Some good accomodation in and close by. A lovely little cafe with a good selection of food and drinks. Cakes are very nice. Easy trip out to Neuschwanstein etc.

A 15-minute hike brings visitors to this waterfall where a wide stream of water crashes over rocks.
Super energetic and relaxing. If interested you can also hike up to different view points. Not to exhausting and nice walk. To the waterfall it is stroller friendly the hike up to the other view points is not. Tip: bring a jacket it can get cold.

Very nice place, easy to get there, from the parking place is about 10min walk and if you are lucky for a sunny day you can sit, relax and enjoy the view of the waterfall.
You can also get there walking through the forest if you have your location not very far from it.

Impressive waterfall with a beautiful viewing deck at the bottom. However, I can not find appropriate words to describe the horrible pathway up along the waterfall. There are two more viewing points to the right of water (seen from standing in front of the waterfall at lower viewing platform). They used walkways that can only be described as wooden ladders. Which would work perfectly when climbing up a steep incline. But they are laying flat on the ground! This is unbelievable dangerous! You can literally break your ankle!
The Partnach Gorge in Garmisch is a popular hiking destination with beautiful waterfalls and a walkway. It's named for the gushing waters of the Partnach mountain stream, which have carved out the gorge over time. The gorge is significant geological because it was nearly 240 million years ago during the Triassic period that the Alpine muschelkalk layers settled on what was once a shallow sea.
What a fantastic place! The views we saw on the walk were just stunning! Even in winter, this place was worth visiting. Apart from the gorge, there are a lot of tourist routes through the forest. Depending on physical training, you can choose the best appropriate one. I also advise you to take a raincoat if the weather is cold as there are a couple of waterfalls.

Really special and wonderful place to enjoy a day. We hike passed the gorge and up a pub the long way (2 hours walk up and down). Reasonable fitness needed. The pub is closed every Thursday. When we go there, the pub is closed. The tables can be used and you can buy beer from a machine. The gorge itself is nice but the hike up the long way is nice walk too. We saw salamanders and woodpeckers and different birds, farm animals sheep and a friendly cat too. The way down quick is by the side of the pub (30 minutes). Bring a raincoat and wear hiking shoes.

It was a wintry cold day and we braved the outdoors. It was a nice memory, although hard with jet lag. Got some good shots.
Because some of the hiking paths were icy, we had to walk on the main road which of course took away from the charming allure. So beware in bad conditions.

The gorge was breathtaking and well worth the 6 euro. When we visited in August, half of the gorge was shut down and there was two-way traffic. This led to a lot of congestion and was very stressful with a toddler. We were not aware of how tight some of the tunnels were, so we brought a child backpack carrier which we did not use because our son would hit his head on the ceiling. We saw several families with small children in the same boat as us. If we could have done the whole trail and not have to double back, we would have enjoyed the experience a lot more. I understand these were unique times, it just wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been. It was still very pretty and I wouldn't mind coming back when our kids are a little older. For those who are new to the area, you can park in the Olympic parking lot for 2.5 Euro and it is a short walk to the trail head from there.

It's an impressive experience.
The path to the entrance is very wide and easy to walk on. In the gorge, however, it is narrow to the rocks, partly through the tunnels. It's also good to have a flashlight, because it's really dark in some parts of the tunnel. A jacket with a hood is also useful, as the water drips heavily from above in some places.
We were there on a public holiday with nice weather around noon. That was probably a mistake as it was very crowded. In narrower places you sometimes had to wait until "oncoming traffic" had passed... I also thought it was stupid that you were allowed to go there with the dogs. I don't think it's a nice experience for the dogs: loud, cramped and lots of strange legs that you have to avoid. Next time I'll go there earlier as it's probably a lot quieter.

Unbelievable place... It is definitely a must visit place and its worth every penny. You won't regret going here.
Just make sure you exit from the same gate you came from if you don't have time or don't want to walk. Cuz if you exit from the other end, you'll have to hike all the way around the gorge.
But if you can I would definitely recommend you to take that route, it is BEAUTIFUL

One of nature's wonders. Awesome place to visit. Regimens getting there early as parking is atrocious. Make sure you have balance and are a little fit. The walk is long and can get strenuous at times. However, the views are spectacular.

Let me just say be prepared for the hike OUT. The hike in and through was amazing. The walk out was the hardest part, and while it isn't difficult, it isn't a short hike. The gorge itself was great and beautiful. Go early and beat the rush, which is what we did, and even then, we had people who wanted to rush through and push you through it. Later, the number of people showing up to enter was crazy and i couldn't imagine trying to even take pictures. We enjoyed the early quiet and lack of people and were able to enjoy a leisurely walk, just letting the fast folks pass us. Take a rain coat, water and snack and you'll have an amazing time.

The place is very attractive. After visiting the cave, you can continue your hike to the forest and return to the starting point. Alternatively, you can return to the cave. If you choose to hike through the forest, make sure to bring some water as it is a steep path. Overall, it was a really enjoyable hike.

Formed by the Partnach River, the gorge features striking rock formations and picturesque waterfalls. The maintained trails and informational signs ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for visitors of all levels of expertise. We went on a hot weekday and it was rather busy, with lots of fellow tourists. The walk up from the parking at the Ski Jump centre took about 20 minutes, but was easy. We booked our tickets in advance, but you could buy them there. There are some places to get some food and drink at the start of the gorge walk, we had some lovely chips and a beer! The walk itself is exciting, but as it was busy there was a lot of stop-and-start waiting for people to pass (the raised pathway cut in to the cliff is narrow) but the views and atmosphere made up for it. Stout shoes and a slight head for heights is recommended, but we saw folks of all ages and abilities managing just fine.

Very interesting place. But risk to go given the wet floor and its proximity to the water falls.
Not good for claustrophobics since you will be in dark and short tunnels.
Dogs are welcome but there is a 2 euros fee.
Cadu Garcia — Google review
we didn't need raincoats or lanterns, the tunnels were lit and at 20° quite dry, two or three drops on the jacket is no problem. It's so beautiful that you don't care if you get wet. The circular route is not easy at all, the climbing is big and quite steep, don't eat your sandwiches before it like we did😆. Otherwise, the view from the top is worth the effort, but some level of fitness is definitely required.

Beautiful place. Might be slippery in the rainy season. At least keep 2 hours for the trip. You are allowed to go to the end and have to come back the same route (can no longer exit from the other end). I saw some people taking their pets. Some were afraid of heights so their owner had a difficult time. And some dogs were trekking like a pro.

Partnachklamm, nestled in the heart of the Bavarian Alps, is a breathtaking natural wonder that captivates with its awe-inspiring beauty. The narrow gorge, carved by the Partnach River, offers a mesmerizing journey through towering cliffs and cascading waterfalls. The well-maintained pathways and sturdy bridges provide a thrilling adventure for hikers and nature enthusiasts.
Visitors should be prepared for a sensory delight, with the sound of rushing water echoing off the rocky walls and the cool mist in the air creating a refreshing experience. The interplay of light and shadow enhances the dramatic scenery, especially during different times of the day.
While the trail can be challenging in parts, the reward of reaching the end and taking in the panoramic views is well worth the effort. Partnachklamm is a testament to the raw power of nature, making it a must-visit destination for those seeking a memorable and immersive outdoor experience in the Bavarian Alps.

Awesome place. The cave gives you a thrilled feeling. After you exit it, there are two options: First option is to take the cave back. Next option is a bit tricky and I felt that the directions were not much clear. In this option you have to hike the mountain and then descend. The trail to go up is not well maintained and at some places it was very slippery. On top there is one small restaurant. Going down is via a well built road, but it is very steep. We could not control our legs at some descends and had to run :)

Such a beautiful place to visit... If this is on your list and you have the time you must absolutely do it. There is a 30 minute walk from the parking lot to the entrance of the gorge. However we had rented e bikes and were able to take them all the way to the entrance and there is a bike lock rack Right next to where we purchase tickets. For 7.50 euros this was an unbelievable walk Just so breathtakingly beautiful. I love the sound of the water I love seeing the sky through the crack. After we got to the end there was different trails to take but we didn't know how to read the trail map in German so we just turned around and went back the way we came to the main entrance to our bikes. I would have loved to have done other walks up and over the gorge as well if there was a proper map provided or signs. Also a bit confusing have to you purchase tickets you have to scan the barcode to go through a gate So hold on to them, Because if you go through the gate at the end and decide to turn around you will need to reschend the tickets to get back in the pathway to the main entrance.
Ettal Abbey is a magnificent complex situated in the Alps, established in 1330 by Ludwig the Bavarian for a group of knights and Benedictine community. The monastery comprises a baroque church with breathtaking frescoes and sculptures, along with a liqueur distillery, gift shop and bookstore. Visitors are captivated by the stunning dome inside the church that highlights its beauty. Additionally, there is a renowned brewery on-site which adds to its charm.

If you go here, see if you can spot the unicorn :-) I highly recommend it!

The Ettal Abbey is a great stop. Very picturesque views of the Abbey can be had from a couple small hotels (best from Blaue Gams) on the western side. Located very close to the Garmisch region of Bavaria this place is an Architectural masterpiece. It is said that the foundation originally consisted of a Benedictine double monastery – a community for men and another for women – and also a house of the Teutonic Knights.
The original Gothic abbey church, built between 1330 and 1370, was a modest structure in comparison to the great churches of medieval Bavaria. The inside of this church is majestic in every way and has a beautiful acoustic sound effect. The monastery runs a brewery, a distillery, a bookstore, an art publishing house, a hotel, a cheese factory joint venture, and several smaller companies. The distillery produces Ettaler Kloster Liqueur. Please note ttr Café inside the Ettal is now closed till Easter. Huge parking area around and also places to eat.

Gilfenklamm is a stunning natural attraction featuring alpine waterfalls flowing through a white marble gorge, accessible via bridges and boardwalks. The main highlight is the impressive waterfall, offering exciting hiking opportunities for adventurous visitors. While the trail involves some challenges such as steep inclines and slippery rocks, the breathtaking views of the gorge make it worth the effort. It's recommended to start the hike early in the morning to avoid crowds and fully appreciate the mind-blowing scenery.
Not going to add much more than what other people have said. Great walk (1hr one way) where the shades of the trees and the coolness of the water helps you with the heat. If you are travelling with folks that may have some struggles, i would reccomend that you park at jaufensteg hotel and do the trail from that end(going down) the falls are closer to that entrance so the trail is only 30min of stairs to see the falls and you avoid the extra 30 mins it takes to get out of the gorge)

Renowned and famous track, it's a shame that it falls far short of expectations.
We went up early in the morning and the track had not been beaten... from the price paid I expect not to encounter bumps on the very first descent, including some so high that they reach one meter (I'm not joking). Apart from that, due to the track not having been prepared, it went down very slowly, and in the curves you always had to get off the sled because there was a bump where, given the little speed you picked up, you couldn't get over. Furthermore, the snow was heavy and we spent half of the track towing the sleds... a real shame, also because in some places there was no snow but stones and asphalt. I find the price per person very absurd (€35 each for two descents)... we will definitely not return

Cableway nothing to say.
Everything above is beautiful, well kept and full of alternatives to spend a nice day.
If you don't have a packed lunch with sandwiches, above there are at least 3 places where you can have lunch, all very expensive, 4 of you be prepared to spend €90-100 without taking who knows what dishes.
Strange that at camp 2 where you reach with the first cable car there isn't a single free water fountain, like in many other points of the Pusteria Valley.
Trentino is very beautiful, really well kept, the prices in my opinion are really high, this year we did 5 days instead of 7 days, but as long as there is a high demand for people with large spending possibilities, prices will only increase. Too bad for the group of customers with economic availability like mine.

(Translated by Google) The cable car takes you to the start of the toboggan run. We absolutely recommend it, especially during the morning to better enjoy the beaten track, after 3pm on the second lap we found it a little too full of pits which do not guarantee a smooth and fast descent.

The Golden Roof in Innsbruck is a prominent landmark and attraction in the city. It is dominated by nearly 2,700 copper tiles, and it is most impressive from the exterior. The roof also has a small interactive museum about Austria that wont take too much time to visit.
Beautiful old town, all places you need to visit in Innsbruck old town are around this area.
Right at the end you get to see this golden roof balcony that is distinctively different from the rest of the building. There are many other colorful buildings around with full of history and culture.
So many food options around including McD.

Just another place to visit in Innsbruck. Nothing particularly special. Rather nice accent as you don't see golden roofs on many houses.

Nice view of the city and the mountains, the way up and down Is separated so it's very convenient. Was a little crowded up the tower when we went but still a nice place to visit while in Innsbruck.

This is one of the most famous places in Innsbruck. During Christmas, there was a platform placed where you could a better vantage point for viewing/picture-taking. We were lucky and got to experience musicians playing from the balcony!
We visited the museum itself and read through its history.

A lively place and with the legend about the marriage of a pretty woman 👩 can only be viewed from the outside
With its 2,657 gilded copper shingles and rich fresco and relief decoration, the oriel in the middle of Innsbruck's old town was an eye-catcher not only when it was built around 1500. Today, more than 500 years later, the Golden Roof still attracts thousands of visitors every day

The gorgeous symbol of Innsbruck, situated in the heart of the city centre. During Christmas time (until December 23rd) you can find Christmas Markets in front of it together with a beautiful Christmas tree! However, I don't recommend visiting the monument itself, since the museum is not all that interesting and the view you get from the top is nothing special

A beautiful landmark in Innsbruck, if you are lucky you can often find typical bands playing under it.

Easily one of the most visited sites in the old centre of Innsbruck, at the same time you can see all of the old buildings and medieval architecture of the original parts of the city. The golden roof glitters when the sun is out, however the site with Nordkette in the background reminds me of beautiful mountainous art works. The snow is falling on the mountain and the trucks are busy removing the last of the Christmas market installations. Visit this space and take in the history of the city in the surrounding streets.

The Golden roof really does stand out from the other buildings around it. Even when you walk farther away, you will still be able to admire it. It was quite late in the summer evening so we didn't get to see it shine in the sun.
We didn't go inside, there was moderate crowd in front of the building.

The Golden Roof is a famous landmark in Innsbruck, Austria. The Golden Roof is a three-story balcony structure located in the heart of Innsbruck's Old Town. It was built in the early 15th century by Archduke Friedrich IV as a symbol of his power.
Visiting the Golden Roof is a great way to immerse yourself in the history and culture of Innsbruck while enjoying its stunning architecture.

Nice building with golden roof. Near to it, there is a very old hotel in the bank of river Inn. The English word "inn" for small hotel must have come from this hotel.

When I saw photos of this place and read that it was one of Innsbruck's most famous landmarks I thought it was a joke, but get closer to it and you realise it's something very special with a lot of history. Also, the street it is on is just beautiful and well worth a visit. Unfortunately we didn't have time to stay for a coffee or snack but highly recommend it if you're in Innsbuck.

Interesting small museum about the golden roof and the life of the emperor who commissioned it. The museum covers only one floor. It can be visited in anything between 10 minutes and one hour (there is a quite long video to watch halfway through the exposition). You can get a nice glimpse through the balcony, but you cannot step onto it. The experience is worth the EUR 4.50 entrance fee. The lady at the ticket counter is very friendly and helpful.
Only downside is they accept only cash and the ATMs in the area charge EUR 4 for withdrawals with international cards.

The Altstadt Innsbruck, or old town area of the city, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and features some of the most iconic buildings in the town dating back to 500 years. You'll find towers, churches, and other interesting architecture here preserved with great detail from the medieval era. It's a great place to explore if you're in Innsbruck and want to see some of its historical highlights.

Such a charming, quaint city, surrounded by beautiful mountains, and the River Inn. Make sure to visit the historical landmark of the Golden Roof and the St Jakob Dom (Cathedral of Saint James).
Make sure to walk down the Maria Theresa St. See the Saint Ann column, and the triumph arc. If you walk over to the bridge by the river annual see the beautiful and colorful houses that’s definitely worth a picture.

The heart of Innsbruck's allure lies in its historic city core, the Altstadt, where time seems to stand still. This area is a treasure trove of architectural marvels, including the iconic Golden Roof, and is lined with cobblestone streets that whisper tales of centuries past. Strolling through the Altstadt, one is enveloped in a sense of nostalgia, making it a must-visit for anyone looking to immerse themselves in the city's rich cultural heritage. Innsbruck seamlessly blends its historical roots with modern vibrancy, making it a truly enchanting destination all year round.
We love the Innsbruck city throughout the year. Lovely people, beautiful nature, calm atmosphere.

You can enjoy drinking your mulled wine (glühwine) or punch (punsch) from the Christmas markets starting from mid November here.
By the way, you pay the deposit fee (pfand) of 4€ per a cup in which you got your drink from the Christmas market 🎄 but you can get it back when you return the cup to the stand (it doesn't need to be the same stand; can be returnable in anywhere)
Good to know that this area of Innsbruck is always crowded and usually full of tourists, but the oldtown (Aldstadt) is always beautiful ❤️

Altstadt Innsbruck, the charming old town of Innsbruck, Austria, left an indelible mark on me during my visit in 2018. This historical gem is a delightful blend of medieval architecture, cultural richness, and an inviting atmosphere that makes it a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to the region.
The moment I stepped into Altstadt Innsbruck, I was transported back in time. The cobbled streets, colorful buildings, and well-preserved landmarks exude a timeless charm that captures the essence of Innsbruck's history. The iconic Golden Roof, with its shimmering tiles and intricate reliefs, stands as a symbol of the city's former imperial glory and adds to the town's allure.
Exploring the town's narrow alleys and hidden courtyards was a delightful adventure. Each turn brought new discoveries, such as quaint cafes, boutique shops, and charming artisan studios. The local craftsmanship and attention to detail were evident in the artisanal goods and souvenirs available, making it an ideal place to find unique gifts to cherish.
The Town Tower provided a panoramic view of Altstadt Innsbruck and the surrounding Alps, offering a breathtaking vista that highlighted the town's stunning location. The Maria Theresien Street, the town's vibrant main avenue, was bustling with life, and the street performers and local musicians added a lively ambiance to the overall experience.
I was equally impressed by the warm hospitality of the locals. From the friendly shopkeepers to the knowledgeable guides at the various attractions, everyone seemed genuinely proud of their town's heritage and eager to share its stories.
Moreover, Altstadt Innsbruck's accessibility made it a convenient destination to explore on foot, and its proximity to other attractions such as the Nordkette Cable Car and Swarovski Kristallwelten made it an integral part of my itinerary.
In conclusion, Altstadt Innsbruck is a captivating destination that beautifully captures the essence of Austria's rich history and cultural heritage. Its architectural beauty, friendly atmosphere, and the wealth of experiences it offers make it an exceptional place to visit. I fondly recall my time exploring this delightful old town and wholeheartedly give it a well-deserved five-star rating.

Recommend to visit for your road trip around Munich, Austria, South Tyrol. Parking is in the central and you can take a few steps to the old town. Main activities are sightseeing, cafe, lunch or dinner, shopping. Good for groups, couples, family and pet lovers.
Innsbrucker Nordkettenbahnen Betriebs GmbH (Nordkette) is a modern transportation system connecting Innsbruck with Hungerburg, designed by Zaha Hadid. The cable car ride offers a scenic 20-minute journey to the Nordkette, showcasing breathtaking views of Innsbruck and its surrounding mountain landscapes.
Wonderful experience! The first step to see the top of Innsbruck. You can access it from the city center, where you can buy the ticket. It is recommended to bring some warm clothes, even in the spring, because on the top of the mountains, the temperature and the wind can make you feel a bit of cold.
Bruna Dellacqua Loureiro — Google review
Will give it five stars for the overall experience you get, but be prepared to be packed in like sardines in the cable cars. At a minimum you'll definitely want to consider a mask. Aside from that you'll enjoy the views at the top and will have an opportunity to eat and drink on the outdoor patio if you choose

Must do when in Innsbruck. There was no snow downtown, but up there there was 1,5m of snow and still snowing. Restaurant is very good with quality food and there are free of charge ski bikes for kids and adults to enjoy. As for the station, the staff at the ticket kiosk looked like she was forced to work there with very apathetic service. Nevertheless, couldn't spoil the fantastic experience. Highly recommended activity.

It is always great to go up with the Nordkettebahn and the view from Seegruppe is great as well as it is super to just hang out there. However, the price is way to high for thw service. 42€ euros for going to the top and down again is really pushing it

Undoubtedly the view could have been better. If you have not purchased the tickets in advance, Avoid going if its raining. I wish it was not raining when I booked the tickets. A bit complicated to traverse all 3 stations to reach the summit, but the final hike to the top was exhilarating. This last part of the excursion definitely not recommended for those who are physically challenged. The Seegrube restaurant (not inexpensive) offers limited menu but breath-taking indoor or patio dining.

We had incredible views from the top of Innsbruck, definitely worth visiting whilst you are here. We took the funicular to get to the cable car access and you can purchase tickets from the funicular station for the funicular and top of Innsbruck and back in one ticket. You can also make your own way to the cable car and just buy cable car tickets. All up it cost us 44 euros but we found it was a lot cheaper than anything similar in Switzerland.

VIEW OF THE MOUNTAIN
The mountain that dominates Innsbruck. The Nordkette is part of Austria's largest nature park, the Karwendel Nature Park, and can be accessed in only a few minutes from Innsbruck's city centre! The stunning 360° vista, with the Alps' capital on one side and Tyrol's most extensive conservation area on the other, makes an indelible impact.
The Hungerburg funicular takes about 8 minutes to get to the Hungerburg. There are various stops along the route, including the Alpine Zoo, which is popular with families. After arriving at the Hungerburg station, travellers can take a short walk across Hermann Buhl Square, which is named after the world-famous Austrian mountaineer.
At an elevation of 1,905 metres, the Seegrube

An absolute must when visiting Innsbruck. 10/10 views and unforgettable memories walking on the top of the world! Getting up at 3pm wasn’t too busy. The only downside was coming down at 515pm - it was mayhem! Long wait to get in the carriage and squeezed in like sardines.

Breathtaking views. We went to the very top - three gondolas. In July 2023 the top restaurant was closed so best to go up and come back a level to the great bar there with amazing views. Can feel a bit claustrophobic as they pack you in but always feel safe.
The Alpine Zoo Innsbruck is a conservation-focused zoo situated on the mountainside that houses various rare Alpine birds and animals including wolves, golden eagles, and mergansers. The zoo provides an interactive experience by allowing visitors to enter some of the aviaries. It is an ideal attraction for families with children as it offers a ticket that includes Hungerburgbahn and the zoo with easy access via city bus.
We had an amazing time at the alpine zoo. We saw almost all of the animals that are in the exhibits, including baby bobcats. We had a toddler in a stroller and while the trails are fairly steep, it was still very manageable. The zoo is well worth the visit and all of the animals seem healthy and happy in their exhibits.

First of all, Not many animals to see like they advertised, high price and part of it is underconstruction, and you can't even see some animals, cuz they are hiding.
As an adult, I would recommend to safe your budget for something else.
For kids might be interesting!
Pasan Sensouk — Google review
Impressive. Visitors can look at the animals from different sides. If you don't see the animal from the bottom, be patient and walk all the way up to the top. For example, the wolf.
I purchased the Innsbruck card so it's free entry.

We visited this zoo in beginning of March. I would call it a nice park with some animals, rather than a big zoo. Its a nice place for a walk, but take into account that you have to go uphill along the whole walk. We spent there 1.5 hours (two adults), 2-2.5 hours would be optimal.
Irina Yankelzon — Google review
The place is so great, above all expectations ! A lot of animal species, one can even go inside few aviaries which makes the zoo pretty interesting and interactive. Spent here more than an hour, would be perfect attraction for families with children
You can buy ticket that includes Hungerburgbahn and the zoo, so after visiting the place you can still go higher to the mountain. The zoo is also reachable by city bus
Anastasia — Google review
The Zoo is overrated, and was a let down. There are ample parking facilities, but take the first one... If the upper ones are full, it's tough to get back down. We waited in the hot sun in queue to buy tickets - it would have been nice to have a covered shelter there. The signs guiding one around the zoo were faded, and confusing. Some areas of the zoo were closed for repairs, and some animals like the wolves and bears were missing. Yes, it's common to have animals hiding sometimes, but having exhibits open with no animals in them is disappointing. The exhibit with vultures and other raptors, though, was awe inspiring, and the aquarium was fascinating. There are many play areas for small kids, and information booths for the others. My son tried the Spaghetti Bolognese at the Cafe and gave up after a few bites. Couldn't blame him - it tastes like boiled cardboard. In summary, the zoo has its highs and lows, but unfortunately, the lows predominate. I would recommend that the zoo lower the price of admission until they fix up the place. At the moment, it's not worth the price.

This was on the way to the cable car station, you can get off midway and explore. Good place if you are travelling with kids, you can easily spend a couple of hours exploring. The star attraction (for us) being the bear and Lynx enclosures at the start of the zoo. Nice hike up to the different enclosures but we quit midway as it is more fun with big groups or kids and not much to see if you've been to other world zoos. You can skip the line if you have the Innsbruck card.

This is a great place to have a family day out . We come every year and always come out happy. Some areas are better in the summer eg terrarium as some animals sleep throughout the winter . The baumkatze was pacing back and forth and would probably rather have a bigger pen. But overall the enclosures were a good size and natural looking .

Very nice zoo. I can only recommend visiting this place. It's great for all groups of people. Only one little bit of warning, it's on the hill so it's necessary to go up and down 😅
Otherwise for the price it's definitely worth it to go there. There is a possibility to buy some food in restaurant.
A very nice playground for kids in the zoo.

Visited during winter and bought tickets on site without any line. As a warning, many exhibits are closed during the winter but it’s still worth seeing.
The zoo isn’t filled with a large number of different animals but instead ones that are native to the area. Quality over quantity!
Built on a hill, so prepare for some walking especially if you’re pushing a stroller.
Cassie Tresl — Google review
We waited in the queue around 15 minutes because we went there on a nice sunny Sunday. Probably you won't wait that much during the week. I think you need to allocate between 3-4 hours, or maybe even 5 (if you want to read all the little details carefully) 🙂
What I like about the zoo is that there has been both German and English names of the animals but explainations were mostly in German.
There's also a restaurant but it's self-service. The good thing is you can pay with the credit card 💳 We ate cheeseburger 🍔 and Käsespätzle and both were nice. Moreover, the view of the restaurant is amazing. That's why, you should definitely eat outside!
It was such a shame that we couldn't see bears, some wild cats and a couple more of the most interesting animals 😪
And one of the things what I don't like is that you need to pay extra if you want to get a map of the zoo. It's just insane! It's the first zoo I've encountered for me to pay for it 🙈🙊 Normally, they just give it to you for free in the entrance along with your entry ticket.
In addition, I need to say that it's more like a family destination and it's very likely to hear crying kids so often around:) and the thing is it's kind of hard of parents to go there especially with babies because the path you follow is kind of steep and would be demanding with a stroll in my opinion. Other than that, it's a nice activity when you're bored in the city and want to do something different. However, you can do other nicer stuff if you're in Innsbruck only for a few days.
Illy — Google review
Very nice Zoo. It's all on a hill so you'll get lots of exercise walking around the zoo. Fantastic views from various locations there as well. If you buy the Innsbruck Card, the 13 EU entry is included as is the train that is the first stop near the zoo. You can then go up to the Nordkette with the same ticket with the cable car and make a great day of it.
Rob K — Google review
There weren't many animals available to see and quite a few exhibits were closed for the season. The zoo itself is on a hill so we definitely got our steps in. We wanted to see the moose, and we did get to see the back of him from our vantage point. The zoo is probably more active come spring!

Amazing there experience with a lot of options for pools and sauna including a huge, beautiful sauna room. Regular aufguss schedule and direct access to the lake. All from the textile-free side! Good facility with an amazing view of the lake and mountains but why Snack Kiosk at the lake is not open? The restaurant inside does not have a good atmosphere to eat.

Cool saunas, overall a nice location but very crowded and I can’t get it why people are okay with other people watching their naked children from 0 to 12-13 years old. It’s a cultural schock for me. Make sure you’re not attending a „family day“, as this way you will „enjoy“ not only naked adults, but also children

What an amazing location for a thermal spa! Huge car park and a short walk around the corner and up to the main spa building, which led into a huge atrium. Staff in reception were very friendly and helpful and we were soon in our way to the changing area. The saunas are all ‘textilfrei’ meaning that you aren’t allowed to wear any swimming clothing inside the sauna. You are obliged to sit inside towel. Plenty of saunas, various different temperatures and styles, cold plunge pools, warm swimming areas, a swim-up bar and a full restaurant were surrounded by hundreds of fully reclining loungers. All this in full view of the lake and towards the mountains. Idyllic!

Great spa with panoramic mountain view, if you're willing to pay the premium price. For 36€ you get access to warm salt pools, saunas, steam rooms etc. However this area is usually garment-free (except some days of the week) so do be aware if you're uncomfortable being naked in front of many people.

Absolutely satisfied with our visit! Pina colada at the bar worth every cent:) beautiful views, so many baths, inside, outside. The biggest choice of saunas for every taste. Be careful about your feet in the Herzog sauna, the floor is hot as oh my gosh

Had the long night here, loved the saunas and the Aufgusse with events. The pool was also nice. Everything was top clean and very well maintained. Also the lake dip after the Aufguss is a lot of fun!

Best spa experience so far. Such a wonderful place and great saunas. You have direct access to the lake and can cool down easily. The view is out of this world.
Paintings by a leading 20th-century artist at his former home, plus work by peers like Paul Klee.
Very nice for art lovers, a beautiful collection of works done by Franz Marc.
Elizabeth Macke, Heinrich Campendonk a must-see, and Kandinsky. Go early spend the day have some wine enjoy another side of Garmish that you may not have seen.

Audi guide specialised for kids does a great job. Kids love it. But English version of Audio Guides are very limited. It shouldn’t be so difficult to provide contents also in English!

A delightful Franz Marc experience. What would make this museum a 5 star place would be translations. German is the only language in the exhibition, which makes it not so accessible for international visitors and art lovers.

I walked around 15 mins to the museum from Kochel Train station. Directions are marked on the way. The place was really peaceful and beautiful. The lake and car parking is very close from this place. It was very difficult to find a place to eat. I had to walk back in the direction of the train station to find a restaurant. There is a restaurant of the museum that is not so cheap and opens in specific times.

Very nice compact gallery. Entrance fee is a bit too high. The Cafe is top notch. Four stars only because cashier was not so helpful nor friendly.

Beautiful location and small Museum, but containing less Franz Marc pictures than expected.
The Lehnbachhaus contains a bigger selection.

Rude and borderline hostile staff. Comparatively high price for an underwhelming collection. The location is beautiful however and might warrant a trip regardless.

Yesterday my husband, little daughter and me had very good aestetic experience in this museum! Cozy, with amazing view and nature around, and very nice helpful people who work there. The museum is not very big and it's an advantage -- you can focus on each painting not being in a hurry. Paintings which are introduced there are very special!
