How long is the drive from Burghausen to Munich?
The direct drive from Burghausen to Munich is 68.4 mi (110 km), and should have a drive time of 58 mins in normal traffic.
If you’re going on a road trip from Burghausen to Munich, we did the research for you and compiled some great stops along the way — with top places to visit like Hans-Peter Porsche Traumwerk and Burg, or the ever-popular RupertusTherme.
The top stops along the way from Burghausen to Munich (with short detours) are Marienplatz, English Garden, and BMW Museum. Other popular stops include Neues Schloss Herrenchiemsee, Deutsches Museum, and RupertusTherme.
Futuristic health & fitness complex with saunas, massage therapy & child-friendly pool with flumes.
I bought a ticket for one whole day for all zones and enjoyed my stay there enormously. The water is warm and nice, in summer both outside and inside areas are delightful but I wouldn't go outside in winter, because for me water would not be hot enough.
They also have respectively big sauna zone in there. You need to buy a special ticket for entering.
What to expect if you are new to the German saunas:
1) it's a nude zone (if you are shy, feel free to cover yourself with towel when walking on the "no swimsuit" territory, but in saunas everyone is nude).
2) they have different activities in saunas (like SPA procedures with special salts, etc). Look for the schedule on doors of saunas. All these activities are included in your ticket and they are pleasant and good for your skin.

Absolutely amazing experience! The facilities were immaculately clean, so many incredible saunas, and staff were very helpful and friendly. Everyone spoke English perfectly. Also had a massage, which was great. Prices were comparable to other high-quality thermes in the Alps. Would absolutely come back!

It’s quite a big therme with a big pool with a great view of the mountains. The “Sole bad” area downstairs is very, very small and crowded.
It’s quite terrible for first timer because the staff didn’t give any advice or information at all even as we were there, there wasn’t many people in the lobby. I had a ticket only to the thermal bad whereas my husband had a combined ticket to the sauna. It took us a while to find out that he had to use the other lockers. If the staff don’t have time to provide information, the flyer with advices, plans and information would be very helpful.

Impressive place with a massive array of thermal facilities.
I didn’t find the spa treatments particularly good or in a nice setting, but the saunas and baths are outstanding. Both indoors and outdoors there are more saunas than you can count, heated to various temperatures and containing different oils/scents. We enjoyed the outdoor area most where you can lie in a heated pool or on a sun lounger with a drink from the bar, surrounded by snow-capped mountains.
2-3 hours is a good amount of time to spend there without treatments.

This was a lovely spa day in the mountains. We found it to be very confusing as first time visitors. It can feel like a labyrinth (which is part of the (eventual) fun) but we felt disoriented at first.
My suggestions for first time visitors:
- Absolutely book online. The line for tickets was out the door when we arrived and did not move quickly. But since we booked tickets ahead of time, we were able to walk to the front to a reservation line. This took a while to figure out but once we did, it was a welcome revelation.
- Bring your own towel and robe. Thermes in places like Baden Baden provided towels and other amenities but here everyone brings their own. We were able to rent their towels but had to go back to the very front counter to do so. Not ideal as they dealt with their swarm of people buying tickets. If you buy the sauna access (which you totally should) then having a bath robe is really helpful for moving about and ordering in the restaurant between dips, etc.
- We reserved chairs (7€ each for the whole day) but we did not use them. We thought we would lounge and read more but there is so much to explore that we never felt the need to have our own designated space.
- Pay attention to the schedule of the saunas and arrive there early to be able to partake in the masks and infusions. If you arrive on time you’ll either not have a seat or you will have missed the mask.
All around a really lovely day and would absolutely go back. I would like to see what it is like in Summertime, too.

We were here for my birthday for 2 days in-a-row. We have had access to every part of the spa. So we have visited alsomst everything there.
But the best part for me is the adult area with no kids. It's peaceful and quiet there. They have an everyday schedule for different saunas treatments. There is written everything on the board or screen. Some of the treatments have some snacks or/and drink afterwards. The views are amazing. We were also very lucky with the weather.
The best birthday gift. 2 amazing relaxing days, and we can't wait to come back.

It was a nice place to spend my day with my friend for day ticket.the ya e multiple swimming pools.some staff are nice some are horrible.its kind more nicer in winter cause you could still swim outside with snow.i like it cause the have heated water in some pools

Good location, 4 hours gone quickly.
Didn't like showers: no privacy, water terns off very quickly ( in our local swimming pool it works longer)
Not all lockers are working ( room #6).

Spent a nice half day here. Was a good overall experience, relaxing. Loved the hot outdoor pool with mountain view.
Andy — Google review
One of the best thermal baths that we have tried in the area. Outdoor pool is heated, it has a nice view overlooking the mountains. There was plenty of space to enjoy and relax, did not feel overcrowded, however our visit was during the week times.
Price for adult 34.50€, which I believe it included the parking space for your car. You could rent their towel for 7€ and a bathrobe for 10€ , but we just took our own .
It was a perfect day to spend , as weather was still not very warm.
Oana Loredana Andreiu — Google review
Lack of information from the staff. We are foreigners, and nothing was explained to us other than how to pay.
The facilities are very good. Which are definitely 5 star.
But the reception staff needs to perform better.
They didnt even ask if we had any towels. We mistakenly presumed that they were issued inside the building.
We ended up wandering all over the place to find the pools, etc.
Paul Aslett — Google review
Place is nice for a weekend retreat.
Water is relatively warm not hot enough personally.
The place is equipped with good family facilities with a stunning view should you would like to enjoy the thermal bath. The bathing area is relatively small.

A nice Place to spend the day, they have upstairs an open warm Pool were you can enjoy the Sun and sie a Cocktail 🍹. They have a gym there to train. Waterslides, and different Pool area for Kids and grown ups.A nice Sauna. I beleive I paid 34 Euro for the Day Pass but it was amazing with nice Mountain views.

Not very happy about alcohol allowed in the swimming pool area. Some of visitors wash their glasses in the outside thermal pool. If you have a child with you or religiously based you can stay at home. On saturdays Its more like dating site swimming pool So with a small child you feel very uncomfortable. In case you complain about alcohol habit at front desk, you are told that you do not need to be worried about alcohol rests in the water, because Its full of chemicals anyway.

Museum displaying large private collection of model cars, trains & toys plus a restaurant & shop.
Well curated collection of Porsches and Beetles and amazing model train exhibition. The light show was awesome as well!
The garden train ride and playground add to the fun. Last but not the least, an amazing restaurant with delicious food. All in all a day well spent.

The most amazing museum experience ever! The place is just super cool, we never visited something that great, all other museums are just average after visiting this place. It’s modern, stylish, well maintained, interesting for all ages staring from 2y.o. The restaurant is also very nice, the indoor and outdoor playground, everything is just great. Top attraction, happy to find it, I wish there are more places like this in Germany and Austria. Huge thanks and respects to the owner and stuff, you are doing a great job.

This was s super afternoon out when visiting friends and family in Bavaria.
Highly recommended. It's full of toys for boys of all ages.
Super value
I will go again.
I have never seen a model railway so big, so detailed and so intreasting.
Mrs Phillips said it was super too.
Highly recommended.

Way more interesting than expected. I am not a toy-fan but even so I found this collection-museum amazing. The prices are also very decent.
It is definitetly worth a stop if you are in the area. With or without kids.

One of the most amazing places i have visited so far. The exhibition of the tin toys is definitely nice to see, the real attraction although is the hall with the model trains in my opinion. The level of detail is incredible, the audio and visual effects are hard to put in words and the amount of different trains, locations, themes and so on left me literally speechless the entire time. Another point worth noting is the feeling that is in the air. You can talk to the staff and you will hear the craziest stories about some of the cars or the Porsche family itself and you will leave the place with a huge smile and goosebumps that last for a long time. For me the experience got even crazier when i had the chance to meet (even though it was only for a brief moment) Hans Peter Porsche himself and to talk a few words with him, as he was there that exact day completely by accident. Definitely worth a visit if you are a fan of cars, trains, old toys, and of course, Porsche in general.
Matthias Kopeinig — Google review
interesting place for families and small children. I came especially for the porsche changing exhibition, which was supposed to be open from August 29, but on the same day the information on the website was changed. it was obvious that the exhibition was still in preparation, so it was enough to write honestly about it. the other permanent exhibitions are very nice. lots of attractions for children. If you have adult children, choose another muzeum of porsche 20-30min from this place in Austria.

We were so happy that we made the effort to visit by public transport from Munich. It was a bit tricky being on a Sunday but the bus drivers were very helpful. We’d seen this model train layout when it was being built in Gau-Algesheim in 2014 and wanted to see it completed. We started with a delicious meal in the restaurant where my gluten free requirements were managed perfectly. We loved our visit and highly recommend.

We had a great afternoon at the museum. Overwhelming exhibition wonderful atmosphere. It offers both adults and children a great experience. We recommend it to everyone! If there were, it would even deserve the 6th star. :-)

We initially thought this would be a quick visit, however we ended up staying here for 4 hours! Intricate museum of wind up toys, cars, and model trains. Lots of interactive aspects and areas for kids. Restaurant/cafe in the back looks upon a large playground for children, with a small train that comes around on which kids can ride around. We bought something from the gift shop but noticed that it was slightly damaged, and came back the next day to exchange it with no problem! Lovely staff and awesome time.

It's an interesting place. A lot of model toys. There is a lovely little train that you can ride on with your child in the backyard.

Medieval pilgrimage church housing an elaborately clothed Black Madonna statue from the 1300s.
The chapel Altötting is famous for!
Absolut „MUST SEE“ when visiting!
The atmosphere is very dark and heavy.
If you are sensitive, beware.
Inside, all the hearts of our Bavarian kings are preserved in ⚱️and displayed facing the altar with the BLACK MADONNA.
I recommend booking a tour guide, who will also lead you to the other highlights of Bavarian Pilgrimage, such as Tilly‘s mummy, Saint Konrads relics and other holy bones.
Steph Ill — Google review
It was a great privilege visiting the image of the Black Madonna in this remarkable chapel. Traveling at least 6 hours to this quaint little town of Altötting was indeed worth it. I feel blessed and grateful for this once in a lifetime experience. Definitely one for the book.

The miraculous shrine of the black Madonna and the oldest Maria shrine in germany, also refers to as Lourdes of Germany. honoured by the visit of two popes, many offerings (metal hearts, artifacts, portraits) are hanged on the walls. this is the center of Bavarian faith and truly a place of great beauty. A must visit.

One in small form but it’s large in history and significance. One must visit this pilgrimage chapel if you visit to Altötting.

This is truly a Marina jewel and the Marian heart of Bavaria, including the centuries old Gnadekapelle which is the centrally located and small, somewhat darkly lit (but a gorgeous candlelight type of dark!) chapel with the primary object of focus and now ancient Madonna and Child statue which has had an impressive number of miracles, both those proven and those not officially proven attributed to the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Jesus through it. I have 2 pictures of the the Grandekapelle and also others of the much larger Stiftspfarrkirche which stands adjacent to the Gnadekapelle. It is also simply exhilarating to stand in the Kapellplatz (Chapel Square) and take in the southern German views. The entire shrine has abundant areas within which to pray and reflect as well as opportunities nearby to do some Catholic religious goods shopping for devotional objects and holy souvenirs. I have now twice been here, and it is a peaceful and reflective experience. May your journey there be blessed!

Humble outside, story on story covers the archways. Inside a black and silver incarnation of catholic worship. But all in a size that brings god closer and does not distance the herd from the shepard, like in some pilgrimage spots...during off- season weekday late afternoon is a time to be able to get some comtemplation in front of the Virgin mother and her so'n the savior.

This is heaven on Earth. Gloriously holy palace for a queen. Come here and sit and talk to your mother and you will find liberation and relief from your burdens. She is our mother. Listen to her and her son. She always points to and reveals her son. Amen.

This is the best theme park. Ticket prices are very good and a lot of things for everyone.

A great place to spend free time with the whole family! Fun opportunities for all ages! One day is not enough to see you all! Our children were extremely excited! Bayern Park is a well-kept amusement park with some good rides and a reasonable price/performance ratio both in terms of park admission and catering. However, a park loses a lot of sympathy points as soon as the staff turns out to be incompetent, unfriendly and above all unenthusiastic. Sure, Bayern Park attracts tourists and you don’t have to like them, but elsewhere you force at least one or two smiles on your cheeks while you serve your guests professionally and without grumbling – why they don’t do it here is highly questionable, although it was only one day in the low-season.
Tobias Kathke — Google review
This is a great place for children and adults of all ages!! There are plenty of hand disinfectant stations everywhere! The bathrooms are keep clean also! And on all the rides people keep their distance.
Tony Buckley — Google review
Personally I love to go with family... It's a beautiful fun place with nature... but sometimes the staff, especially the restaurants server and cashiers, are totally disrespectful and make u feel uncomfortable. They just kill the mood ... although the rides r fun, sometimes the controlers do what they want other than the usual planned ride span, e.g., last visit, the caterpillar controller reduced the time span according to his convenience, all the kids were so disheartened 😔
Sangya Jha — Google review
Bayern Park is located in the South East of Bavaria 1.5hrs drive from Munich. It’s worth the trip, because you can spend a full day with the whole family in the park. There are rides for all ages, cute & slow for smaller children, but also rollercoasters and a free fall tower for teenagers and adults. There’s also a quieter part where you can see some animals and have a walk through a nice little wood. Prices are fair and you get a lot value for money. Parking is not an issue, plenty of space.
Da Dude — Google review
Had a great day with a 4 and 6 year old. Plenty to do for their ages. 8 hours of activities. The negative and its probably also at some other parks is the smoking. People chain smoking everywhere. Maybe its the people the park attracts but its crazy how many people are smoking everywhere around kids. A lot are also parents but as a parent myself why should my kids have to breath in their second hand smoke? Make designated smoking areas and free the kids from smoke!

You will spend there all day, because there is so many attractions that you won't even have time to try them all. And bring your own food and drinks, because the lines for food are long and the food is not very good.

Popular attractions might include roller coasters like "Freischütz" and "Flug des Ikarus," as well as water rides like "Wildwasserbahn" (Wild Water Rafting) and "Rio Dorado."
There are also areas dedicated to younger children with gentler rides and activities.
This is quite clean and food affordable. Not a lot of choice. Drinks are very expensive.. 3,60 e for a drink !!

Chimsee - „Bavarian See” with monastic site from 8th century. Perfect for watersport, leisure and maniacs of history.
The Herrenchiemsee New Palace is a grand structure located on the island of Herreninsel in Bavaria. Built in 1878 and modeled after the Versailles palace, it was created as a tribute to absolutist monarchy. Ludwig II, its founder, spent very little time here and made it more as an expression of his romantic ideas and imagination than as a residence. The palace's design reflects Ludwigs' obsessions with romanticism while being typical of his creations.
It was a very beautiful environment, quiet nomatter the population.

Visit here around end of july 2022. Beautiful palace and gardens, 25 min walk or 15 min horse drawn carriage ride from boat. Museum for Ludwig II inside the palace. Also a nice restaurant. I love the castle and it’s worth visiting. Even just walking around outside in the park is amazing.
The walk from the ferry dock was not strenuous but on a warm day could leave one sweating. There is an ice cream stand near the end of the trail for those needing a cool indulgence.
The palace is rich with history, you will enjoy it with a guided tour. The cafe offers varieties of drinks with limited food selection. The fountains in front of the palace and sculptures in and around the palace are impressive and you can stand and admire for longer time.

They say the journey is more exciting than the destination, Neues Schloss Herrenchiemsee is an ideal example. It starts with a boat ride beside Chiemsee Lake with crystal blue water. You can take your boat to reach the destination and enjoy the scenic view of a dream house and the islands inside the lake. Once you reach the castle don't get astounded by the beautiful sculptures and exquisite rooms built by King Ludwig 2. Take a ticket to roam inside the castle under guidance and explore the museum inside the same building. Behind the castle, a green lawn bounded by trees narrows down towards the sea assembling an aesthetic view.

Great place to visit for a few hours to see the palace and the grounds or a full day if you also want to stroll around the island. The ferry ride to and from the island is decently quick, and the palace tour, which we did not do, is around 40 minutes or so. The grounds are beautifully maintained and peaceful, and the fountains run on a timer about every 15 or so minutes, so it is worth taking your time to enjoy the scenery.

✨✨✨Cheimsee!!!! AKA…”The Bavarian Sea” …a really amazing surprize to find a truly enormous and lovely lake in the middle of that beautiful mountainous region…so nice to take a hike along its shores…whether in summer …or mid winter as the attached photo of me depicts…always so nice to take a ferry to visit the astounding and gorgeous HERRENCHIEMSEE PALACE…situated on an isle within the lake …commissioned and built by Ludwig of Bavaria …it gives Versailles ( apparently in some ways its inspiration) a run for its money …note when in this beautiful hood…makes sense to take a side trip to also see the fabulous NEU SCHWANSTEIN ( the inspiration for the Walt Disney castle btw)…yet another simply fabulous structure that Ludwig built …and which now continues to delight and amaze all who visit 💯🙏🏻👍🏻☺️✨✨✨
Remember it's a CASH ONLY place.

We had a wonderful day at the Chiemsee - and on the Chiemsee. We used the boats of Chiemsee Schifffahrt Feßler to do a boat tour from Prien to Herreninsel and to Fraueninsel and back. The oldest boat originates from 1926. Although on a weekend together with numerous people, we didn't have to wait long and had a joyful cruise.

Trausnitz Castle, built in the 13th century, is located on a hill overlooking Landshut. It features a vaulted hall and chapel, as well as a museum showcasing unusual artworks and curiosities. The castle was constructed for the Wittelsbach dukes, with building work commencing in 1204. Visitors can reach the castle via a steep path from Altstadt. Inside, guests can admire the stunning architecture and interiors while enjoying views of the surrounding area.
Not easy to find with the car when you would try to find signs but Google maps can guide you :-)
They have a nice restaurant in the castle (build in 1204) where you also can sit outside and have a great view over the city Landshut.
It’s a beautiful city with a historical center and many different beautiful shops.

Castle that has been the families' seat of the Wittelsbacher for centuries. Unfortunately the majority of historic building substance has been lost due to the fire in 1961. So you can visit the rebuild castle with some saved originals and lots of blank walls.
Overall rather good and a nice place to see. Some beautiful views over the surrounding area are also possible. Pricing is fair (5,50 € / adult).

Beautiful and well-kept castle on a hill above the city. For free you can visit the courtyard or you can walk around in the park and enjoy an amazing views of the historic center of Landshut. A vast and well taken cared Castle on a hill over looking Landshut. We visited during Christmas and had a private tour of the castle. The gentleman tour guide was well informed about the castle. The tour was in German only and I got a lamented sheet with English information to each room which was a nice gesture. Gorgeous architecture, rooms, interiors and view. The ticket office / shop was great. Bought a few books. There is also a restaurant on the property. Highly recommend.

Walking up the path to the castle from town in about 10-15 minutes. It’s steep but has a paved path. Very nice views from on top, with a restaurant. If you drive up there’s a parking lot. There’s also a WC in the courtyard. Didn’t do a tour, but they have one. The castle was founded in 1204 by Duke Ludwig l. The castle and its views are a highlight while visiting Landshut.

St. Martin's Church, also known as Martinskirche, is a significant Gothic monument in Landshut, Germany. Construction began around 1385 and was completed by 1500 with the involvement of master builder Hans Krumenauer and Hans von Burghausen. The church boasts extraordinary architecture that combines elements of high and late Gothic styles. Its tower stands at an impressive 130.1 meters, making it the tallest brick tower globally and in Bavaria. Visiting St.
The tallest brick building in the world…This brick building height is 130 metres. It is one of the medieval church in Bavaria. It is built in Gothic style.

It is the church with the tallest brick tower in the entire world, it looks quite spectacular, especially in contrast to the rest of the surrounding buildings which are pretty low. On the inside there are currently some renovations done (2019.04.06), so one can’t really enjoy the inside as much.

This is the landmark of Landshut, and there are less chances of anyone missing it from any part of town centre.
The church is made of bricks, and 2nd tallest brick structure in the world. As with most churches in Bavaria and to most of Germany, the architecture style is Gothic.
It has got a huge crucifix hanging from the roof directly above the altar. For me it was the biggest indoor cross I had seen.
It's a good time to see all through year around, and gives Landshut Town Centre a definitive face. It does go without saying that visiting the church during mass is not allowed.
A must see place in Landshut.

Very nice location and very nice exhibition (Saurier – Giganten der Meere).
Besides the exhibition itself there's a reasonably sized locker room, a shop and a bistro (apparently a restaurant will come soon). A playground is just outside and plenty of parking lots are nearby.
As for the exhibition, it is very well done, has lots of exhibits, quite a few hands-on ones and lots of information (also available in English via QR codes), yet it is in fact quite pricy as well.

We saw the Saurier exhibition at the start of 2020 and it's a great exhibition in a great location. Erdinger Brewery - Brewery Tours
Brewery
Food & Drink
Tastings & Bavarian snacks conclude this 3-hour tour of a prominent brewery known for wheat beers.
I heard the tour (English) was great and really wanted to go! Sadly we missed our timeslot because all the Ubers in the Erding area didn't think our 10min drive was worth their time (they cancelled Uber job they had accepted!!!), and it was too late to walk or get a bus.
We are visiting from Australia and didn't have a working sim card to call a taxi, and also couldn't find one on the street to get us there.
Lesson for tourists - don't rely on Uber in this area! So annoyed, wasted our pre-paid tickets.
Catherine D — Google review
We had to book a German tour as there were no English dates available when we were in Munich. The tour guide seemed a bit annoyed that we didn't speak German event though we were not bothered as we just wanted to see the brewery. We thought there may have been a booklet or signs in English to read as the tour went along but there weren't, I think this would be beneficial for erdinger to do as they have very little English tour dates. The pretzels/beer/sausages at the end were good. The tour guide was asking us questions in German even though he knew we were English which was a bit annoying (he did speak English). I think maybe a beer menu would be good on the tables for people to look at. Disappointment the gift shop was closed as we would have spent money in there on merchandise. I'd do the tour again and would reommend it.

Amazing experience at an amazing brewery. Our tour guide was phenomenal - very informative and in very good English. The Weis wurst served at the end of the tour was the best I have ever had. In addition the openness to let us try as many and as much beer as we wanted was very amazing. I particularly loved the "Snow White" release for the unique flavor, but all of the beer was great. The attention to detail and quality each step of the process at Erdinger was incredible to see. Fortunately I can buy several of the releases in Texas and will be enjoying them.

For 17€ (booking online at the ERDINGER webpage) you can have a Top Brewery tour. It takes around 3 hours including the beer tasting and the typical Bavarian meal. A few meters from the restaurant you can buy souvenirs at the Gift Shop where they have som quality products and at fair prices. Ive taken other tours (20€-40€) here in Munich but this one is TOTALLY worth it! Staff is welcoming and friendly. Book in advance though cause tickets sell out really fast. They have a good variety of beers and they are delicious. They have Vegeterian option for the meal and Alcohol free drinks. You are allowed to take photos and see their Bottling system. Enjoy!

Went there for the private tour. Our guide explained the process very well and let us taste and smell the different stages. He was very friendly, fun and knew a lot!
We were also able to try different finishes in the end which was also very interesting.
I didn't buy a bottle because their whiskey is quite expensive and I'm more into smokey, peaty flavors.
But I can definitely recommend the tour!

-Amazing experience, if you're a whiskey lover you have to visit this place.
-The tour takes you through the heart of the distillery where, if you're lucky, you can even witness first hand the copper alembic running the distilling process. After that you can go taste, for a moderate price, the different types of whiskeys that they have to offer (a sample of their classic single malt is included in the price of the ticket).
-The gift shop is also loaded with different whiskey related products, from their golden spirits to fruit jams and bbq sauces.
-As for the whiskeys they sell, I have to say they have a very different and interesting flavour profile. Their classic single malt has by far the most wild flavour, it tasted almost like a smoked and funky hay bale, but I personally really enjoyed the taste.
-So long story short this tour was one of the best events of my whole trip.

A perfect example of a traditional Bavarian/Austrian farm and way of life. Many of the buildings have been salvaged and restored, recreating the environment that people would have experienced 100+ years ago. I spent many summers as a child on a similar farm in Southern Austria, the smell of the hay and the rooms, workshops all brought back happy memories! Great traditional food and beer is available in the farmhouse. Lots for adults and children to enjoy. Well worth a trip if you are in the area.
Natural, 6.5-km. sledding run on Wallberg Mountain, with a cable-car lift & regional restaurant.

If you decide to visit Tegernsee you should visit Wallberg for sure. It’s an amazing place near the Tegernsee. The ticket for Wallbergbahn costs 27€. On the top of the mountain there is a restaurant with panoramic view. Where you can take beautiful pictures. If you travel with car , you can park near Wallbergbahn. There is a parking there. The price 4€ for 4 hours. You can pay by card or cash.
And the last advice! Better to have jacket, because on the top a little bit cold and windy.

I would suggest to go during the week AND make sure the Rodelbahn is actually open. You can find that info in the website or just call them.
I was unlucky enough to go all the way there just for the Rodelbahn to be closed. But the good thing is, on that Friday it was very empty. On Saturday it was very crowded and if you arrive late in the day, they might not have Schlitten und you will have to wait. Just expect big crowds on weekends.

Decent price of 25€ per person. Best part is we don't have to wait for cable car. It is small cars which can accomodate a group of 4 max and runs continuously. So once we have tickets it barely takes time to get inside cable car. The ride and view of the snow capped mountains are mesmerizing from the cable car.

Glacial tongue-basin alpine lake covering 3.5 sq. mi., with spa towns & hiking routes nearby.
Amazing place!!! But you see many many rich (and old) people here for holidays.

This is the most amazing place I have visited so far. Want to visit this mesmerizing deramy place again. I felt like, I was walking in a fairy tale movie set. Although camera can not do justice to the breathtaking beauty of this place, still tried to capture a bit.

Tegernsee is one of the most beautiful lakes and even places, I have ever seen and been to!!
Small lake and town near to Munich, less than 2 hours by car and also you can get there with train very comfortably, during pandamic all the shops in a small town are close but there are many small local shops for dining and decorative stuffs.
But we enjoy sightseeing, hiking, relaxing and we were lucky because it was sunny that day and it helped us to enjoy more.
Definitely I will come back and stay there for couple of days in hotel, one fay was not enough for me !!

One of my favourite places around Munich, it offers relaxing atmosphere that can be enjoyed in sunny days with a local beer. Also driving to the place, avoiding autobahn is pretty fun.
The Allianz Arena is the home stadium of Bayern Munich and has a capacity of 75,000. The stadium features a magnificent backlighting that changes color constantly, as well as a museum with all of Bayern Munich's won trophies.
Visited for the NFL 2022 Munich game.
The stadium is stunning and the service was top class.
Queues were managed really well and there was never a huge wait for anything. Getting in was easy but security was also thorough which is good. The bag drop process was really smooth and quick, both upon entry and leaving.
Staff were super friendly and spoke many different languages to cater to all.
The food was gorgeous and the prices were reasonable for stadium prices. Will definitely visit again!

I took the tour and then went into the museum. As a football fan I had always wanted to go to this stadium. The guide was very clear, he took us to the most important places, and answered every question that people did. The experience was great, however as they were fixing/preparing the grass, it was impossible to appreciate the soccer field in a 100%. I recommend to visit it during the season, and during the afternoon/night, when the stadium coverage is on (mainly red).

A must visit if you are visiting Munich. Will advise to buy tickets in advance if you want to see full Arena in tour. Very amazingly made. All facilities are worth seeing. We missed seeing the night when the Arena gets lit up but still we enjoyed seeing it. A must must visit for sure.

From the outside it's quite underwhelming and feels like a deserted place with dirt and dust flying around the premises. But from the inside it is really good. It's nice for a first time visit( including the stadium). I went on a non match day so probably the experience would be different on a match day with a lively crowd.

Great stadium. The tour and museum are fantastic full of history. Tickets aren't too expensive really great value. Definitely recommend a visit when visiting Munich

It's a legendary place, we just wanted to enter the stadium and see it, but the packages are not only entered into the stadium; There are only two museum tours or museum+stada entrance. I can't say that the prices are extremely affordable, but when we went, they were on sale sometimes, but beware, they may be closed on some days. Other than that it's beautiful.

Good location just next to U6 subway but also not a lot around as a city, such as touristic activities. Most people visit here and that's all that's around the area (compared to many other parts of Munich city).
Entry fee isn't bad, and there's a museum to explore and appreciate trophies, or even buy a jersey.
Not a bad experience but niether great except you're here as football enthusiast.

Amazing stadium, the entirety of the place is truly great, from the U-bahn station created solely for the stadium, the views. Every part of it is amazing, the tour through the inside was great and being able to have a little more insight on what the players see before a match is amazing.

Good overall, the stadium is a little lacking compared to others I've done. Be good if you're a die hard but think the museum is worth it. Very easy to get to and back into the city thanks you the great rail network of Munich

Always like to see a place like this. Even I came quite late for the tour and outside was nearly to a heavy storm but no doubt that this place is great to visit.
Definitely one more reason why to come back and enjoy the atmosphere of full stadium during a game. Even as a fan of different club that will be a great experience to see it on my own💪

Best stadium in the world. Home of the best team ever.
Also, the food at the stadium is pretty decent. In other countries stadium food quality is bad and could even make you sick, but here it's really nice. Also they have the bistro and the fantreffen. Fantreffen is very fun. Definitely recommend staying after the game and enjoying the fan atmosphere

Easily one of the best stadiums I have visited! So modern and so unique! I unfortunately didn’t catch a game here but the tour of the arena and museum were fantastic I highly recommend it even if you are not a football fan!

During our visit to the Alianz Arena and FC Bayern museum, we couldn't help but notice a pile of trash right at the entrance from the parking lot. It was a bit off-putting, considering the reputation of the venue. Additionally, after purchasing our tickets, we encountered a challenge as there was no one available to provide further information in English. This language barrier was a bit frustrating.
On a positive note, the stadium itself was impressive, and the museum offered a decent experience. However, there was something lacking in the overall atmosphere. Perhaps more friendly and smiling faces among the staff or additional elements to enhance the visitor experience would have made a significant difference. In the end, the visit fell short of our expectations, leaving room for improvement in certain aspects of the overall environment.

What a beautiful stadium! It’s a short walk from the U6 subway line and you can pretty much follow the crowd to and from the game.
The stadium looks great in the sunlight and lit up in red lights when it gets darker too. Entry was easy, although they were a bit rude to my fiancée because she doesn’t look German.
Food and drinks were reasonably priced, but the servers didn’t know how to count. I had a boy who definitely looked under 18 serve me a small beer and two punsches for 20.50 EUR when I ordered a 1L beer and 2 punsches for (10+4.50+4.50) = 19 EUR. He wanted to charge me more to get the correct size beer and couldn’t count without pushing buttons on the till. I’ll have to dispute the credit card transaction because the crowd pushed me aside so I couldn’t draw it out any longer and the boy really didn’t care he overcharged me by 6.50 EUR (small beer).
The actual game had a great view from everywhere, the beer tasted good, big pretzels, punch and bratwursts too. The overcharged experience and rude staff (plus crowd) sours it a bit though.

Fantastic modern football stadium! We did the stadium tour which was a bit rushed and fast, but very interesting and also visited the museum which is amazing and a testament to Bayern history and glory and ended our visit at their gigantic store, its a bit expensive, but I did managed to grab at least a Bayern scarf as a souvenir :)
Its good to note that its very far from the city and there are no taxi spots there... so you have to ask the tickets staff to order a taxi for you...
The English Garden is an expansive urban park in Munich, constructed in the 18th century. Spanning a vast area of 375 hectares (927 acres), it offers a multitude of activities for visitors to enjoy throughout the year. Surrounded by several neighborhoods and running alongside the river, this park boasts an impressive network of 78km (50 miles) cycling and jogging trails. Its natural beauty is enhanced by carefully designed landscapes, providing both excitement and comfort to visitors.
This place is just wow, scenic place with lot of places to admire the nature.
You can either walk, cycle inside the park, kids will. Enjoy the vast open space to play.
There is a place at entrance where people surf on the water flow.
You need at least half day to roam around the Garden to enjoy it completely

The Englischer Garden in Munich is very similar to Central Park in the United States and Stanley Park in Vancouver. It is very large, and walking or exercising here is very comfortable. I recommend that everyone who visits Munich should come and see it, especially since there don’t seem to be many places to visit in Munich.

Huge, close to town, and beautiful. You can swim, enjoy a crate of beer there, sunbathe, even surf. It does get very crowded on summer afternoons, so perhaps come in the morning from April-August. There’s plenty of shade by the sides and a couple of beer gardens for a bite and a drink. Police regularly has a presence in the area.

During summer is full of people and you can do many activities there. To play volleyball you need your own nett but eventually you also can ask to join others team. You can swim and do the famous and traditional jump from the bridge at Isar. I always go with my friends, but sometimes after work I go there just to relax, feel some sun and read my book.

The English garden is very peaceful, there are many walking trails, places to sit and have a picnic or stop at the Chinese Tower where you can purchase delicious food and drinks. Don't miss the area where the river surfing 🌊 takes place. Usually 10 or more surfers line up to get their turn. All ages, young and old! We were here at the end of September 2023. Beautiful weather and really enjoyed our stroll though the park. There are maps to help you not get lost, as the park is quite large. Many tours go to the English garden, biking tours, walking tours and we ever saw horseback riding (but not sure if that was a tour). Most of the trails we were on were paved and wide. Enjoy!

This may have actually been my favorite place in Munich. Right in the middle of the city is a huge park. Luckily our hotel was right next to the park. I went for a run and/or walk every day in the park. There are so many trails that only was able to get to a small portion of the park, but it seemed very safe and it was so green with lots of rivers, streams, lakes and ponds. There are also Reataurants/Beer gardens spread throughout the park.

The German Museum of Masterpieces of Science and Technology is a vast museum that showcases original artifacts and interactive displays on energy, transportation, and astronomy. It holds the title of being the largest technology museum globally, spanning over 50,000 square meters and exhibiting around 28,000 objects. The museum offers a unique experience as it combines traditional exhibits with hands-on activities such as demonstrations, experiments, and media stations. Visitors can engage with various subjects ranging from agriculture to photography to space technology.
We worked our way through the museum, from the top floor (space) down to the basement (mining), and it is clear where the museum has spent money and where it is in sad need of attention. This is a very big museum where you can spend more than 1 day if you wanted to! The museum has thousands of objects on display, all aimed at science and technology. It includes several different floors and different themes throughout the building. Totally recommended if you’re into science or technology related things!

The amount of detail that is put into this place is amazing. You can find out anything about technology, from microchips, cameras/photography, to modern stuff like robotics and space shuttles. I would suggest arming yourself with a bag of popcorn, a big cola, 6 hours of free time and a lot of patience to have a great experience.

Definitely a museum that deserves 5 stars. It explains very well what civilization is. There are many places to visit in different branches. It's a great place for kids too. There are very nice activities and applications that they can try and do. 14 euros per person. There is a family discount. I would recommend it to everyone.

Really cool place of you love engineering. It os a very visual experience and there are a lot of things to explain here. It doesn't feel like it is a place dedicated for kids so adults can also have fun in their knowledge exploration. There is a lot of information and it is really well designed but I strongly recommend choosing a section sticking to it and enjoy on part of the museum as there is too much to see. Each section really delves into details and it will be impossible to grasp everything in one go.

This is a really cool museum with plenty to see, also a very big variation. Everything from airplanes to harvest equipment. A very interesting museum, but it is very crowded usually with a lot of school classes visiting it and generally a very long queue to the entrance, but if you are interested in technology it is totally worth the waiting time.

A very big museum with a lot of interesting things!
There's a lot of expositions where you can interact with it, and for me that's a most have for a museum about technology.
The price is a little bit expensive (14 euros for adults) but there are some discounts ( 4,5 euros for students).
What confuses me is that the minimum payment by credit card is 20 euros... That's really not convenient for tourists

It takes a long time to buy tickets, because many school students go there together. It's better to set aside a day to visit the museum. This is a HUGE museum, so don’t expect to see it all in one day, but it truly has so much to offer adults and kids. The exhibits are extremely educational and well-curated, and the location is great as well. You can go for a stroll along the Isar afterwards! They also have a restaurant with a rooftop terrace which gets pretty crowded on nice days, but it’s a great atmosphere!

Possibly the best museum I have ever been to. Ranging from aircraft to an entire section on suspension bridges. As well as model railways, scientific discoveries, musical instruments — you name it. You definitely need a full day to see it all — if not multiple days! I particularly liked how the pendulum from the outside clock tower hangs all the way down the central staircase to the ground floor, where you can watch it swinging.

As the bigger part of the museum is under renovation until 2028, there is a new part of the museum that is still accessible. The ticket costs 15€. I loved the quantum physics section, satellites, and optical instruments. Other sections are bridges, farming, medicine and musical instruments. More sections such as microbiology are still under construction. Can easily spend 4 hours here. Not suitable for children as the topics are quite complicated.

Munich Residenz is a grand complex consisting of palaces, buildings, and gardens that house state-owned museums. It showcases original interiors and artworks. In Munich, there are occasional markets that are worth visiting, especially on sunny Saturday mornings. The flea markets in the city stand out as private citizens sell their unwanted goods with little commercial interest.
By far one of my favorite activities during our entire vacation. The history that the palace held was amazing and the way the tour was presented kept me excited for each room. I paid for the audio guide and really enjoyed the explanations on the guide. A tip for those using an audio guide would be to bring a pair of headphones you can plug in to the guide so you don’t have to hold it up to your ear. I highly recommend setting aside time for stopping and exploring! Be sure to arrive with plenty of time before closing. They do not allow entry one hour before closing.

If you've got plenty of free time, it's a good visit. If you've only got 48 hours in the city though, you won't be missing out by not going. There's a lot of rooms there and some are incredible, but a large section of it just feels like a huge empty building. Towards the end there's a lot of objects to see but for a large part it feels un-lived-in as opposed to being preserved from the time it was lived in. Most of the staff seem annoyed by tourists, which is slightly inconvenient seen as its a tourist destination. On the plus side though, there are some incredible rooms and the surrounding area is beautiful, historic and worth seeing. Finally the German guy born to Italian parents working in the ticket booth was great, super helpful and really friendly.

Very grand, very big, and very worth the visit.
We came a couple of hours before close on a Sunday, and had to wait in line for 15-20 minutes to buy tickets. They have free audio guides as well as a coat check.
The space is massive - they have an option for the Full Tour and a shortened version. We visited at the end our day and we're exhausted, so we raced through the full tour in a little over an hour, but expect to spend 2-3 hours in just the museum to really appreciate everything and listen to the audio tour.

For ~ 9 € you can enter and see by yourself the greatness of this huge palace. This place was used as residence for bavarian monarch from ~ 1385 to 1918. You can also use a guide your (very useful) but almost all rooms also have the explanation written. It’s very nice to observe all the architecture and history/ representation behind the paintings in the walls and ceilings.
Although this place has A LOT of rooms, so keep in mind this tour is very tiresome (kids may be bored) and lasts something like 2.5h. There you be a “short” path and a “long” one as you are visiting, you choose.

Surrounding area is very nice with big open space (park-like), also there are some theaters near by.
I wanted to really explore this historic place so it was very nice. It’s a really long tour so if you’re planning to visit, please make sure to have comfortable shoes and bring some water. Toilet facilities were fine and clean but there was no place to get water and after the tour I was really dehydrated. It was a warm day so it was pretty difficult for me after 2-3 hours of tour.

Worth the price (I paid 10 euros)!
Just have in mind that the place is 95% restored and you will see very little of original spaces.
You can choose to take the long (2-3 hours) or short (1 hour) path inside the Residenz.
You can walk in your own pace and don’t need to follow a group. Audio guide is an option.

Very cool place to explore. It’s not as ‘grand’ as for example, the palace of Versailles, but it sure has its charm and some very interesting stories to tell. Very beautiful place that worth visiting. You can have an audio guide that takes 2-3 hours to see everything, but you can move faster if you want. We bought the tickets on the spot and we didn’t reserve in advance even on the weekend.

What a great museum!! It’s incredible inside! Rich place. Definitely worth to visit when you are in Munich. But chose together with royal treasury. Crowns, swords, and other incredible treasures are there to enjoy seeing before the palace.

It's beautiful! The audio tour takes 2-3 h but you can also opt out and browse the rooms as every room has a placket with info which we found sufficient. This way took us about 1h. It is worth visiting!

The Munich Residenz was the seat of government and residence of the Bavarian dukes, electors and kings between the 16th and 20th century. The rooms and art collections, showcase Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo style of art. The palace is lovely and completely worth visiting when in Munich. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance. There are more than a 100 rooms so give yourself time if you wish to visit every room.
Padmini M S — Google review
An interesting building, but overall a bit of a letdown. I would not queue for entry. It took us about an hour to go through the whole place, the audio guide was far too detailed to be interesting so we ended up not listening to anything beyond the first few rooms. The audio guide is free and available in many languages.
We visited at 3pm on Wednesday in December and there was no queue.

What a lot to take in! We started with the treasury and I’m glad we did. The residence became overwhelming with so much to look at. They say 45 minutes. I think 2-3 hours.
Thankfully there weren’t many people making it more enjoyable.

A very impressive palatial residence in the centre of Munich. Entry is €10 and it takes a couple of hours to go round, more if you listen to the audioguide in every room (available free in multiple languages). There are also signs in German and English with a brief description of each room. Every room is ornately decorated, but it does become a little bit samey after a while. Worth the money, but it's good not great.
Marienplatz, the vibrant heart of Munich, serves as a central gathering place for locals and tourists alike. This city-center square and transport hub is home to St. Peter's church, two town halls, and a toy museum. It is renowned for its iconic New Town Hall and the Mariensaule column dedicated to St. Mary.
A great location in Munich with countless places to shop, eat, and relax. The central square is also so large and distinct that it’s a helpful landmark for those of us visiting from out of country, and for meeting up with friends. The architecture is beautiful. The atmosphere is bustling. We had some great times, and great food here.
Overall: key location and we will return when we are next in Munich.

An amazing clock tower with so much ornate detail. It was very busy even on Monday, I would recommend you go on a weekday. The clock rings 3 times a day in the summer. 2 in the winter. Amazing sight to see nonetheless.

A nice central plaza that lies in the heart if the city connecting between its main streets and shopping malls. You can sit there for the whole day enjoying the traditional bakery and watching the freelancer artists doing their musical performance. Got money to waste ? You can do all your shopping from the near by shops. Apple is by the corner😍.

Main square. Very beautiful architecture, with non-standard design of balconies and stained glass windows. Each part of the buildings is unique in its own way. When you stand on this square, you temporarily forget that today is the 21st century - the surrounding environment takes you to the Middle Ages, the time of knights. This square is truly the historical center of Munich.

A perfect place that offers many different options to enjoy a nice beer in the outdoors. I loved the architecture there, the place is so beautiful and it is surrounded by many other wonderful places such as cathedrals, restaurants, emblematic buildings and other spots just waiting to be discovered by us!

Very beautiful place. To enjoy it the most i would suggest to visit it during the sunrise on a weekday when there are no crowds of people since it's extremely popular. Fantastic architecture, literally must visit for every tourist in Munich.

The old city center of Munich is a place you can sit, stand, watch for hours with ornate detail and people watching.
Sadly we missed the final Glockenspiel show of the day (17:00) but there were plenty of other bells to enjoy throughout the hour.
Tom Coomes — Google review
This place is incredible, you could stare at this building all day and still not see all the details. We went back to see the glockenspiel, at 5pm. The building could not be any more impressive. The performances in the square were entertaining too. It's definitely a spot you don't want to miss if you are in Munich. The train will take you directly there if you aren't in walking distance. There are many restaurants and shops nearby.

This town square is a must visit in Munich. The architecture is simply gorgeous, with its unique balconies and windows designs/colors. There are many street stalls selling foods and drinks, souvenirs and branded stuff. Also, numerous street artists were performing when we were there. This further adds to the colorfulness and character of the area. The design makes us forget that we are in the modern days and takes us back to many centuries ago.
There are lots to see, shop, eats for every taste and individual, from beer markets to restaurants. Our family of 4 enjoyed ourselves thoroughly here. Pity we were here on a day trip only. Will come back if we have the chance.

Beautiful place, crowded but lots of shops and pigeons. I recommend visiting. The glockenspiel show isn't anything impressive. I recommend taking the elevator for a few euro up the town hall and seeing a view of Munich.

Just perfect for enjoying your beer out in the open, there are many bars or cafe around. And of course… the expensive shopping nearby. Any brand you can think of, you will find it here.

The square serves as the heart of the city, bustling with activity and surrounded by historic landmarks.
The centerpiece of Marienplatz is the awe-inspiring New Town Hall. Its towering spires and intricate Gothic design took my breath away. Watching the famous Glockenspiel come to life was a true delight.
The square is filled with charming shops, cafes, and restaurants that lined its edges. From traditional Bavarian clothing stores to contemporary boutiques, there was something for every taste.
Marienplatz square in Munich truly captured the essence of the city. Its historic charm, lively atmosphere, and central location make it an absolute must-visit. Whether you're a history buff, a shopaholic, a food enthusiast, or simply seeking an authentic Bavarian experience, Marienplatz square has it all.

Heart of the Munich City. Every person visiting this beautiful city must have visited or passed through the Marienplatz.. city center of Munich. Most of the household items and all the shops are found here. Always a crowded place. It is definitely a safe place even though it's crowded. People are nice, they just care their own business. Place for all the young people to vibe around and spend nice time with the closed ones. Great place to pass time. Looks very beautiful during the spring 🌼 and summer 🌞⛱️ season. Nice tulips flowers 🌺🌹 are planted in this place.. everyday show time for the bell ringing amazes people and keeps them wait there and watch the show for few minutes.. no tickets and entrance fee are required. A lot of souvenir shops are found in this place .. highfi city area. Have fun visiting Munich Marienplatz.

A nice place in the center of city with beautiful and amazing central location in Munich. The architecture is beautifully done. the central square is spacious and you can have a walk around old historical buildings as well as observe monuments around. They worth taking pictures of.
The main reason people love to visit here is its atmosphere at the time of ticking clock tower with dancing dolls. It has couple of very tall towers from where you can have breathtaking views of Munich city.
It’s a crowded place because main shopping street next to it. A lots of shopping stores, cafes & restaurants around for quick shopping or grabbing a quick bite.
Don’t drive there because parking is bite far but best traveling by subway. If you are planning to visit Munich, this place is a must visit.

It's an absolutely beautiful building. The clock tower rings out, high above the other buildings and through the streets. The figures dance around on a carousel. There are statues and dragons and works of stone from a very long time ago. Many people gather around, taking photos and videos as it chimes. Inside has some interesting features, like gargoyles and spiral staircase, more statues and some doors to walk through. Check it out.
The BMW Museum, located in Munich, is a cutting-edge steel museum that showcases engines, designs, and vintage as well as modern cars from the beloved brand. With its unique bowl-shaped design, it is a must-see for car enthusiasts. The spacious museum houses a wide range of antique cars and motorcycles that were rarely seen in BMW's early days. Spanning 5,000 square meters, it offers visitors an extensive collection of products to explore and can easily occupy half a day.
One of the best organized museums I've visited in recent history. Every part of it is informative, provides tons of insight on each particular topic.. There are even interactive screens where you can learn more certain engines, car models, and so on... The staff is also very pleasant and helpful towards the visitors, there is shop and bistro at the extension of the museum. Either way, very well spent time. It's a must-go destination in Munich, especially if you're a huge automobile enthusiast.

The BMW Museum in Munich is a must-visit for car enthusiasts and anyone interested in engineering and design. I visited the museum and was impressed by the vast collection of car models on display. From classic models to the latest releases, the museum has something for everyone.
One thing that stood out to me was the knowledgeable staff, who were always available to answer questions and offer insights into the history and technology behind the cars. Their enthusiasm for the subject matter was infectious and added to the overall experience.
The building itself is a work of art, with a modern design that blends seamlessly with the surrounding architecture. The museum is well-lit, spacious, and well-organized, making it easy to navigate and appreciate the exhibits.
The exhibitions were particularly interesting, providing a glimpse into the evolution of BMW over the years. The displays are interactive and engaging, offering visitors the chance to learn about the technology and innovations that have made BMW a leading car brand.

I’m not a big fan of cars, so BMW WELT/world is enough for me. It’s free entry (vs. 10euro for BMW museum). The venue and display was set up in an very aesthetic way brought in a pleasant experience. Also u get brilliant view of the BMW “four engine” & “super bowl” building at 2nd floor exit

Building looks cool from the outside and the museum design and path are really good, some nice voice features I've never seen before. Some of the bike areas empty but all cars and engine(mostly Formula and planes) sections are great(especially the f1 and and the touring racing). Price is reasonable for 1.5h - 2h museum.

Amazing museum to visit. The BMW Welt is connected to the BMW Museum by a pedestrian bridge. The BMW Welt is free to visit , but the BMW museum costs 10 euros. It worth every penny. The museum is dome shaped and the welt is four cylinder building. Many amazing cars and bikes to see. The factory tour was one of my favorites. We got to see how different parts are made.

We expected more from the museum itself, where new cars and motorcycles are top notch, museums don’t provide headphones, the history and eras are completely incomprehensible, you need to take a guided tour, there at certain times. The site for purchasing online tickets does not work, the site is bad. There's a line outside, we're frozen, try buying online and you'll be invited. Not the first museum, but a completely terrible organization.

An excellent museum, which you must visit if you are in Munich. Large historical collection of cars and motorcycles, marine and aircraft engines.
Considering the very large number of models, it leaves you breathless, even if you are not a fan of BMW. Everything is clearly marked and if you follow the numbers, you will visit the entire museum without any problems. Since you cannot bring Russian money into the museum, they have lockers that are locked by inserting a €1 coin, which you take back later when you take your things. Tickets are only €10. Very friendly staff, who will be happy to help you with any ambiguities. We were there on Saturday, given the excellent organization, we entered without waiting. Personally I admire watching technology as I’m a technology buff.
For a moment I felt that I was in the future altogether since there was next level artificial intelligence.
BMW has achieved wonders when it comes to transitioning to electric vehicles and technology which I couldn’t decipher since we do not have something like this in India.
They had such unimaginable displays of cars that is difficult to let go off.
The thing that stole the show was the robotic cafe. It was completely automatic. You just had to pay and the thing would do everything on its own.
BMW welt was completely free but the museum charged a nominal fee and that’s completely justified.
Moreover, it is situated at Olympia Park U Bahn station and is pretty convenient to go across.
So overall, 5 stars for everything.

A good place to visit in Munich.
The Olympiapark in Munich is a large and well-maintained park that is home to many attractions, including a stadium, sea life center, rock museum, and concerts. The park is frequented by tourists every year and provides an excellent space for recreation.
Good place to hangout with friends. Also in spring you can enjoy a beer with warm sun bath. Lot of fun activities to enjoy. Good lake view. Also close to BMW Welt and Museum, so you can enjoy the automobile giant's creativity. Also in the evening, city lights looks beautiful. Must Visit place.

One of the must-see places in Munich. It may take you 2-3 hours comfortably. The venue, which hosted the 1972 Olympics, is also eye-catching with its facilities. Don't forget to climb the tower and watch the whole city from above. Be sure to save your tower ticket and go straight to the BMW museum when you leave here. It will be enough to walk for 10 minutes and you will be able to buy a discount ticket with a tower ticket. Have a nice trip. It's a huge park. From the top you can see the whole city of Munich. Definitely a sight to behold. A city can only be so green. The park is a great place to take a walk in beautiful weather.

A very fine park to be connected with nature. It is huge. You can ride a bicycle, skate, swim and what not. Boating and trekking is also there for adventure. Small food stalls can be found nearby to the entrance. No entry ticket is required to visit.

Beautifully landscaped park in which we spent almost a whole day... Olympic Tower, Olympic Stadium with rooftop hike, train ride, food and drink.
We enjoyed the day here and looked at everything.
There is incredible history and exciting stories to discover
100% recommendation and a destination for every visit to Munich.

A large sized park 🌳, made for OS 1972 in Munich. Here you can stroll around 🚶, admire the view from the viewing point 👀, exercise 🤸, run 🏃, walk your dog 🦮, do sport in the Olympic sporting centers, go up in the Olympia tower 🗼 and enjoy the view or dine in the rotating restaurant below.
You can also learn a lot of the architecture and history behind 🤓📚… or just take selfies and walk among the stars at Munich Walk of Stars 🤳🐾⭐️
For me, as a tourist, it wasn’t too exciting, but I’m not that into sport either 🙈🥴 I’m sure you will find it more interesting if you’re a sport enthusiast or remember OS -72… or just want to have your daily activity 😊👍

Amazing venue for a Rammstein concert! Spent my birthday here. We did come the day before and walked it. Very nice place, great trails, and lots of bikes. Pretty little pond to sit around and enjoy the air. You also have to like how close the tram system is located.

I had an amazing time just walking around the park and admiring the views and just vibing. When we arrived there, there was a carnival and really bright lights, big rides, carousels darts, games and an upside down ride, which was really fun. I went with my friends and really enjoyed it. At the end We had some delicious crêpe and some cold drinks to end the day. The walk around the park didn’t take long it took about 30 to 35 minutes to walk around the park and it was really relaxing and enjoyable but just keep in mind that there are people with bikes that like to ride fast so I suggest staying in one side so that you won’t get hit!

Really large park with a wide range of activities for every age at any time in a year. Basketball court, running routes, bike lanes, calisthenics park, skate park are what the park offers you. You can always enjoy the fresh air and feel the sweet breeze in the springtime, and maybe around March and April prepare to obligatorily gasp when you see the blooming cherry blossoms. On summer days, having a picnic is a great idea. On days with a clear sky, one can go up to the summit Olympiaberg (Olympia mountain) and have a panoramic view of the whole city (and even further!). If you are lucky, you might as well be just in time to see a rainbow. In the fall, the color-changing trees are a must-see. And in winter, the winter wonderland is what awaits you with the snowy hills and icy branches. Plus, quite a fireworks show at New Year's Eve. Truly a wonderful place to be at any time of the year.

Very nice park to walk around. It’s amazing many facilities are still open to public. My kids had fun playing teqball at the soccer facility. Entering main stadium requires ticket and it’s a good experience. Overall we had a wonderful time. I imagine it’s even more fun when weather is warmer.

Such a beautiful park! You can spend an entire day there and never get bored admiring swans, ducks, geese. Also walking around the lake or having a coffee near the Sea life. These park is amazing for children and not only. And if the sun is up on the sky and the weather is warm, there is nothing more to wish for.

A very nice place with an amazing architectural structure. There are many places to go such as green hills, swimming pool, and green areas. And other places that were closed 🔒. The sidewalk was very dark, when I visited at 8 to 10 PM. I could not take great photos.

Wonderful atmosphere in the park. Large, sprawled & very clean with vast stretches of green all around with water bodies. Ideal for spending a sunny summer day walking or cycling. Lots of benches thrown in for resting as well. The ice hockey arena & the museum for marine lives is a must visit.

Super nice, I've been to Munich 5 or 6 times and never to the Olympic Park, but I was there yesterday when the sun was shining and had a very nice day.
The only downside were the expensive parking fees.
Olympic Stadium €3.50 entry was also worth it for me, it was very nostalgic to look at the stadium.
The lake is also beautifully landscaped, unfortunately there was no longer enough for the Olympic Tower.
If you are interested, you can also visit the BMW Welt or the BMW Museum, which is right next door.

Definitely a must visit in Munich!
Really beautiful and clean space to enjoy the day.
Take a good look into prices in their website.
Parking costs 8 euros.

The park is absolutely breathtaking. It might be a bit out of the city but is definitely worth a visit. We only went for the views but there is so much more to keep you busy at the park which is also located next to BMW World.
The day was quite clear and we could not only see the Alps but also a stunning sunset. This is a great place to go for a relaxing walk or to have a picnic.

The architectural and structural design of the stadium was remarkable. Even in strong winds, the plexiglass roof remained perfectly stable, which was quite impressive. The surrounding park area is expansive. However, the entrance fee to the stadium felt steep considering it only allows a view of the empty facility. Be aware that parking costs are high. On a positive note, the restrooms were well-maintained and clean.

Great place for a walk, nice view from the hill or from the tv tower. Superb in spring and summer! Do a stop here.

What a beautiful park. There is a ton to do in the park and so much to see. I would recommend making this a stop on your visit and taking the time to explore each inch. I would also recommend doing it via a scooter. You can see a ton very quickly. This could also be a nice space for a picnic in the afternoon. They also do a great job in the memorial of those killed during the Munich games. A great place to spend some time!

Beautiful and large park near the Olympic games facilities. It offers a wide variety of activities like outdoor sports, relaxing picnics or just enjoying the nature and urban surroundings.

The fireworks on the New Year were pretty nice (and wild). We were near the lake, not on the mountains, and the view comprised of fireworks in all directions. The park is green and the lake also looked beautiful at night.

We stopped by here over the summer. If you like walking around places or sports, this is a pretty cool venue to see. You can walk down to the field(although we couldn't stay long as they were setting up for a concert in the summer). Being down at field level makes you understand how big the stadium actually is! A roof walking tour is also offered, just be sure to check for events as they do not hold the tour while setting up for events for obvious safety reasons. There is the indoor Olympic pool that is still being used today. Don't forget to stop and take a picture of the Olympic rings before you leave!
Great beer garden to relax and have good food: umbrellas, trees, just a pleasant place to relax and while away the afternoon. Abbey itself is interesting to look around. Recommend if in the area@

Scheyern community has 4800 inhabitants, it is in the district of Pfaffenhofen.
I have visited Scheyern Abbey on two occasions. Once in a group and the second time with one relative. On both occasions it was super.
The grounds are small but oho. The abbey has a lovely basilica chapel. It is elevated and has a ramp in addition to steps.
We dined in the 'Klosterschenke' that is the Abbey bar'. The food was bavarian and the service was great.
When my next visitor comes I shall suggest visiting Scheyern Abbey 31 km and 40 minutes drive from my place.

Hospitality is not yet invented. Avoid this place at all costs. They will leave you waiting forever and treat you as garbage. They Smoke in the building. Lights in the corridor are not working. Bring a flashlight! Tv not working either

Can recommend getting into the brewery tour if you can, then pop up to the restaurant and enjoy some of their finest in the Biergarten.
