OK for a picnic - showers are semi functional and dirty - same for toilets. There is no electricity or water hookup for caravans. There would be no place for a trailer. You can take a dolmuş to Sinop.

(Translated by Google) It's a no-nonsense place. Unfortunately, its rude and money-hungry operators get in the way of its beautiful nature. They charge 21TL for the entrance, but they put a turnstile in the toilet :) Yes, 21TL is not enough for the men. They also charge 2TL for the toilet. I didn't think it possible so much that I went to the toilet without any money and came back to get money! haha. I'm not even worth the money, they give me that feeling of being ripped off, that's the problem. Such oriental cunning does not suit Sinop. With love, Sinop :)

It's been explored during both favorable and unfavorable weather conditions, with the former providing an enhanced experience. However, even on dark and stormy days, it possesses an intriguing allure that adds a sense of mystery. It is advisable to dress warmly due to the typically gusty winds.

Great place to visit If you are looking for a natural beauty. It is 40 km from Sinop. The entrance is 27 tl for cars. There are 28 waterfalls, big and small ones. There are cafeterias and resting areas as well. Climbing up the waterfalls are easy mostly. Just the first part is made of rock stairs and it is hard.but if you go up tye second level it will be easier climbing on wooden stairs. You can also follow the route inside the river if you are very careful. Because there are slippery rocks.

Despite some construction underway on a new bridge at the entrance, the park is beautiful and well laid-out. There are several quaint little cafes too, but they suit the natural setting well. The steps up to the first several falls are well maintained and fairly easy for a reasonably fit adult to climb, but we didn’t have time to get to all the falls. Definitely worth spending a couple hours here to get to the top.

The Boyabat Castle offers free admission and its walls are remarkably well-preserved. Visitors can explore the entire castle by walking along its fortified walls. The view from the northern side of the castle is truly breathtaking, with a steep mountain situated across a deep valley. Inside the mountain, there are extremely steep stairs which might require a torch for visibility.

Some of the towers between the castle bodies are rectangular, some are round, and there are stairs leading to the towers inside. The entrance to the castle is provided through a small door next to the large round tower in the southeast corner. The building, where finds from the Late Roman and Early Byzantine Periods are also exhibited, has the characteristics of an Ottoman castle in its current form. This shows that the castle was used from the Late Roman Period to the Ottoman Period. The foundations of the old castle were built in the early 6th century BC, during the time of the Paphlagonians. It is possible to come across Roman and Byzantine works in the old foundations of the castle and some of the inner walls of the castle.

These 3 words won't do justice to the fact that ilca waterfall is extremely beautiful.
Situated in the kastamanu district, it is less than an hour away from the main city
The entrance requires a small fee (5tl per person or 3tl for students in 2018)
The place is amazing to visit even in cold winters.

They charged us twice in entrance and when we were heading back they charged us 100TL for a ride in a deep fryer. Do not go to the village, go back the way you came through the canyon.
With its 1,100-m depth, the canyon is home to an outdoor sports festival in a lush national park.
What a wonderful walk through the canyon until you reach ılıca fall, then your eyes will meet another wonderful beauty of nature...
You have to walk on the wooden bridges for more than 3km to reach the fall, but it worth every step.
When I was there in September 2020 they were working on the facilities around the entrance to provide it with restaurants and rest rooms... etc.
Good work Kastamonu belediyesi 👍🏼

There is a car parking for 25TL and entry fee for 16 TL per person with less price for students.
It is recommended to dress for a long hike, the path is narrow and done parts can be a bit steep especially for young kids and old people.
The path is suitable for almost all ages, but i would avoid it if you have kids less than 7 years.

This is a beautiful place. We visited at 5pm in late April. Lots of car parking. The canyon walk was 3km long (one way), and it takes about 45 minutes. Not suitable for pushchairs or for wheel chairs. You can get a taxi back (circa 180TL) from the end of the walk to the start point.
At the end there is a fantastic waterfall and a couple of cafes. At the start/carpark there is everything from a mosque to a restaurant and a bar selling drinks.

Horma Canyon (Kure Mountains National Park)
National reserve
Nature & Parks
With its 1,100-m depth, the canyon is home to an outdoor sports festival in a lush national park.
What a wonderful walk through the canyon until you reach ılıca fall, then your eyes will meet another wonderful beauty of nature...
You have to walk on the wooden bridges for more than 3km to reach the fall, but it worth every step.
When I was there in September 2020 they were working on the facilities around the entrance to provide it with restaurants and rest rooms... etc.
Good work Kastamonu belediyesi 👍🏼

Beautiful path. Skip the waterfall.
I visited this path on 21st April 2023, it was an amazing walk for 3km you will enjoy a beautiful canyon along with running water sounds.

Visited this place at 12:30 and the walk was very nice but tiring.. not very enjoyable for children who don’t like to walk a lot or scared from mountain and heights.. we walked for around 1 hour 30 minutes.. at the end of the walk there is a beautiful waterfall and place to eat … also you can take taxi back to the starting point which take around 20 minutes for ₺170 .. it’s a great experience

A 3 km walk mostly on an elevated boardwalk anchored to the canyon walls. A beautiful canyon walk! You can have a meal or snack at the village at the canyon outlet.
For those who want to not walk back taxis are available at the village.

The place is awesome with breathtaking sceneries and gushing waters. The trekking provides very different experience from other tracks. But it isnot possible with baby prams, wheel chairs. The parking is also not a big one so it takes little time to find parking.

A very welcoming and interesting place. A stunning canyon lined with bridges. The length of the route is up to 3 kilometers one way. However, even at a distance of up to 1 kilometer, there are very picturesque and breathtaking views.

İt is an amazingly spectacular place. Get ready for a big surprise! It will be an unforgettable peak experience for you. You will be walking over a terrain no one set foot before. It is the most unknown, underrated and undervalued jevel in Türkiye, maybe in the world...

Spectacular in one word. Magnificent views. Easy hike, but the last 1/4th or so is harder if you are scared of heights or have difficulty walking up/down on a ramp or stairs.
It is about 3km/45 min hike and you can hike it back or take a cab to the entrance where you parked. It is about 13 km/15 min drive, paid 170TL, or about $7 as of June 2023.
Haven’t seen any dogs on the trail, stray or pet. Restrooms available at the entrance.
