Beautiful place to go in Gramado. Nice gardens and views. There is also a nice store and restaurant. Recommended
Ariel Erlijman — Google review
R$20/person to enter. It’s a peaceful garden with great views of the mountain. I liked the landscaping. It has a decent recent restaurant with a gift shop. I ordered spinach and ricotta tortellini but it lacked flavor/spice/salt. Personally, I thought the prices were steep for the quality of food. The price of admission seems high for the size of the garden.

Brazilian animals are the exclusive focus of this zoo with displays reproducing natural habitats.
One of the best zoos I've ever been too. If you're planning on going to Gramado, visit this amazing place.
Mia Friedman — Google review
Nice zoo around the area that offers you something different than what is around Gramado/Canela for a good price compared to the rest. Most animals look happy, however, some others looked bored to be in a very small and limited area, like some monkeys, owls, felines. I’d love to see them in a bigger area. On the other side, birds looked happy and people are able to feed them paying 5.00 Reais extra at the end of the visit. The food court is nice, they have local food options like sugar cane juice and ice cream with flavors from the region. I’d visit it again and hope that they make some areas bigger for animals since they can’t go back to the wild. I enjoyed my visit.
Daniel Pérez — Google review
I visited this zoo 5 years ago and am very sad to see the poor maintenance and state this place has become now.
At least 50% of cages and areas have their animals missing.
Tried to reserve a vip visit 24 hours before visiting and had no online or telephone reply.
When arrived we were offered a wheelchair instead of a guided electrical cart, to find out that most areas are NOT wheel chair accessible.
Food offered at the premises like “natural fruit juices” are expensive and the only “natural” is that they are 80% water!!!
In resuming, a very poor customer service experience, not worth the entrance + parking fee. Very deteriorated no maintenance premises….seems to be running out of maintenance funds.
A frustrating day in what was supposed to be a nice experience for my 18 year old niece coming back from cancer.
Guillermo Huisman — Google review
Large jungle cats were in tiny enclosures despite the vacant lots throughout the zoo. There is plenty of room to expand the habitats. It was heartbreaking to watch the pumas pace back and forth, they’ve lost their minds.

Family friend place, truly Brazilian fauna...
Thiago — Google review
The animals are great and the zoo is well kept but the ticket is expensive costing 60 reais per adult. To make matters worse they charge 10 reais for visitors for parking and another 10 reais if you want To use a stroller. It is absurd that the zoo won't offer these items to customers being that the entry ticket is already high. They have a huge empty parking area! Not recommended!

Vitivinícola Jolimont is a renowned winery that produces high-quality wines through a meticulous process of grape selection, fermentation, and aging. Situated in a picturesque location surrounded by lush vineyards and stunning scenery, the winery offers visitors an opportunity to taste their exquisite wines while enjoying the beautiful landscapes. Vitivinícola Jolimont has gained recognition for its commitment to sustainability and innovation in winemaking techniques.
Exceptional wine tasting experience! Bruno was an awesome host, he was funny and had authority over the topic he was covering, learned a lot about wine from him, especially how to open a champagne bottle without making any noise! To top it off, you get to taste different types of cheeses and salamis with the wines. Definitely recommend a visit!
Eric Veloso — Google review
A sommelier masterclass!
You’ll get a wine glass with the purchase of your ticket. Tried lots of different wines - all can only be obtained/purchased here as the winery does not have a commercial export license. You’ll get to taste between dry and sweet wines of each type.
We did the tastings in mid fall (May) and it was raining, so we only got to explore inside. No outside tour for us - bummer. Otherwise they do walk outside and you would get to taste the grapes from the source. The explanations are ONLY in Portuguese but the top sommelier informed us of not only how the wines and sparkling wines are made, but also how to best store and drink them once we get home. It truly felt like a masterclass.
We also got to see the barrels, some of the process, and tried cheeses and hams from a farm next to the winery that commercializes their products. (You can tour them too at an additional price).
At the end, you can choose to place your glass on a case and purchase the pictures they took of you (and your party) at the beginning of the tasting.
My favorites were the Moscatel Sparkling Wine (their most decorated one) and the Moscatel Rose (sweet).
Have fun looking around at the end of the tour and at purchasing exclusive wine not sold anywhere else!
Carla Cordoves — Google review
Lots of fun! A bit expensive but overall fun.

Tourist Trap! The wine tasting was ok, but you don't get a real tour of the winery. You can get better tours elsewhere.

(Translated by Google) Privileged location, as there are two waterfalls on site (Chuvisqueiro and Três Quedas). The place is spacious, with plenty of barbecues, shade, parking, cut grass and day and night surveillance. They could improve the structure of the bathrooms and expand the Wi-Fi signal (necessary evil), since there is no cell phone signal in the region. There is a bar and snack bar on site, but it was a weekday and I won't review it.

(Translated by Google) Service left something to be desired, I was in the store a few weeks ago with my nephew, willing to buy a Lakers tank top and something else that he liked, I knew that if it was original it would cost around 500 R$ or more, the question is that when we arrived at the store we were looked at from head to toe, and with an air of mockery the clerk took me to slip, little did he know that he had money to take half of the store if he wanted to, the great evil of salesman and continue judging the customer by the clothes at the time, and the people who are most able are those who exactly dress in a simpler and more restrained way, someone has to give some guidance to the attendants if they don't want to go without hitting the goal for this summer, if and that they do you have any goals, I'll probably be going back to the store next month and I want to do the stubborn cop to see if my day was just bad luck, or if the store treats customers like this all the time.
(Original)

(Translated by Google) Wonderful place!!! As it is private property, entry is R$15 per person. Leave the car a little early and walk about 5 minutes to the waterfall. Super calm.
The road to the place goes through some bridges over the river, so it depends a lot on the weather. If it rained, it might be harder to cross, otherwise it's good.
Dogs are allowed!
It is forbidden to bathe under the waterfall and around it, but there is not a very good demarcation. There is usually one person to alert visitors.
I recommend getting into the water with flip-flops/sneakers/sneakers, as there are a lot of small, loose, pointed rocks, and for walking it's even better.

Local maravilhoso!!!

(Translated by Google) The waterfall is very beautiful. Crystal clear water, very cold, lots of rocks. There is an entry fee for a life insurance policy. Those coming from Porto Alegre via the Freeway, when accessing the road in the city, it takes +- 1h on a dirt road.
See the weather forecast, as the access road passes through 4 concrete bridges and one wooden bridge over the river. See the road on the map
At the waterfall site, you CANNOT enter coolers, buoys, snacks.. only bathers with flip-flops, cell phones and towels. You can take your farofada but you will have to return to the car.
I advise children to wear flip-flops or suitable tennis shoes inside the waterfall, it has many rocks.
Arrive early (8:30) around 11:00 there are already many families.

Acqua Lokos, a serene establishment boasting cozy log cabins and offering an array of amenities such as a water park, petting zoo, restaurant, and bar. The water park itself provides thrilling rides that are pleasurable for visitors, along with delectable food options at reasonable prices. However, it is advisable to avoid weekends due to potential long queues. This remarkable destination presents diverse opportunities for amusement and dining experiences.
Incredible place. First, it's huge and there's so much to do. Took our 3 year old and there were a surprising amount of activities for someone her age. There are lots of pools and splashpads, various water slides for all ages and aventurine levels, a lazy river, a wave pool, pedal boats on the lake, a train ride to a farm with animals, roller coasters (even for toddlers), a ferris wheel, multiple play areas/ playgrounds. You could easily spend a couple of days here enjoying the park.
There are also bathrooms everywhere which is so nice with a little kid.
Tons of food choices and lots of chairs/ umbrellas for shade.
They also have a giant indoor water area if you want to go in the winter or even just get out of the sun a bit.
Overall amazing experience and if I lived closer I'd be getting the annual pass.

The campground Camping Passo da Ilha is managed by reliable and friendly individuals. They provide a pleasant camping spot with tarp tents capable of accommodating 3 or 4 tents within each structure. Some of these structures even include additional amenities such as a minibar and stove, although these come at an extra cost. (Translated by Google) Very beautiful place, but the camping is very precarious and expensive for the conditions. Bathrooms are pretty bad. Weak bar and expensive daily rate for what it offers, depending on arrival and departure times, you pay half a night. It's worth it for nature. I arrived on a Sunday afternoon and it looked like there had been a party, cans and bottles everywhere, when I left on Monday the trash was still there.
The horrible campsites spoil the look of the campsite, old and dirty tarps set up everywhere, with vinyl canvas flooring from advertisements. Terrible.

Aparados da Serra National Park is a natural wonderland located on the border of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina. Covering an area of 102.5 sq km, this park is home to the magnificent Itaimbezinho Canyon and several footpaths, waterfalls, monkeys, and other wildlife. The vast pastures give way to stunning canyons that drop down to 720m depths making it an amazing place for nature enthusiasts.
Very beautiful views even with fog. The best part was the little house that sells homemade pastel!

Amazing place, but be mindful of the weather. I've been told that the winter is the best season to visit. If you visit during the summer you might end up only seeing fog like I did. 🙃

The park is really beautiful and definitely worth visiting. They ask for donations as the government no longer supports it fully or at all!
The information centre is in need of updating as is the picnic area and some of the paths.

Ein wunderschöner Ort. Beim Wandern kann man einige Tiere beobachten. Ganz große, echt große Schmetterlinge flattern herum. Einfach herrlich.

Itaimbezinho is the most visited canyon in the region, located in the Aparados da Serra National Park, just 18 km from Cambara do Sul. Accessible via a stone dirt road, it offers lush trails with sweeping views of the gorge and surrounding park. The 3.5km walk to see the canyon exit is highly recommended for its impressive landscape, making it a great destination for families.
The canyons park is good. The 3.5km walk to see the canyon exit is very good, and the landscape is very impressive. Good to go with your family. Remember to get a jacket before to go: the weather changes quickly.
José Borba — Google review
The most beautiful part of this place is the nature. Therefore there's no have safe structure for your children or pets. There's no signals or posts of directions on the road. The road that we used was very straight. But, I have a good point to explain: the view is exciting! And there's a lot of plant types. You'll take a lot of photos on end of the day, when the sun is running away.

Magnificent Place. Worth every jolt of the 20+20 km of dust road. Go to the old house at the end of the short trail, drink a coffee and get in touch with the resident.

Nature & Parks
This scenic and demanding hiking trail alongside a flowing river showcases numerous cascades and natural pools. The initial portion of the trail may be challenging, but the journey along the river and frequent crossings provide an exceptional trekking experience. The culminating sight, known as the portal, is absolutely awe-inspiring. The 8-hour hike involves traversing rocky terrain, making it a technically demanding endeavor. It is advisable to have a guide upon entering the park.
This felt like a quite different, challenging and one of the most rewarding hiking experience for me.
Normally when I hike, I end up in a lake, or a waterfall, or a hill with a good sight (which certainly is cool on its own). This hike is different. It goes through the river, surrounded by the great canyons walls, it has not one but a few pools and waterfalls through the way - very beautiful - and you need to actually cross the river around 20 times through the track.
We went in the winter so unfortunately it was a bit cold for us to enter the pools and waterfalls (even without entering them it was a 6-7 hours hike), so to take best advantage of the hike, go in the summer.
The above said, this was also a fairly challenging hike. The path is not a easy one as you will be mostly moving through rocks alongside the river. You need to be in reasonable shape to do it as it will be a quite long hike, and be careful with your steps on the rocks.
Lastly, in this hike it is mandatory that you to go with a registered guide so make sure you hire one before you go on it.

Absolutely amazing! The beginning of the trail is a bit tricky, but the trekking along the river and all the times you have to cross it from one side to another, are really good as a trekking experience. And the final view, the portal, breath taking.

The trail is well maintained, with no rubbish, drinking water, several swimming holes and waterfalls. Moderate trail, with at least prior physical preparation, but nothing difficult. (Translated by Google) Incredible place with lush landscapes. It was a rainy season and this hindered visibility a little but it still showed how beautiful the place is, I will certainly go back. I understand the fact that you need local guides to go to Rio do Boi, but they could provide easier entry for those who already have experience with trails, the fact of depending on the local guide unfortunately inhibited us from following the trail simply out of ego, in We were late for the start of the trail and they wanted to leave and not be late for the return trip, this doesn't make sense considering the cost of hiring the guide and also the technical effort, which is very low.

I'll never travel to Cambara do Sul without this trip planner again
Canion Malacara is a must-visit tourist attraction located in the Serra Geral National Park. It offers visitors an opportunity to enjoy a refreshing swim in natural pools of crystal clear water. The trailhead is 5 km away from Praia Grande in Santa Catarina and just over 25 km from Terra dos Canions. To reach the pools, visitors need to cross the canyon fissure and navigate around rocks to access one of the biggest pools within the park.
If you have experience with simple trails you dont need to go with a guide. BUT. you need a good gps. I used the garmin 66sr NOT a phone gps. There is no signal. Its hard to find the trail sometimes, especially when crossing the river. Snake protection is recommended and dont touch anything. Go long sleeved, and with long pants, vegetation is dense. Families or non biologists, I strongly recommend a guide. especially if there is rain its dangerous quickly so you need to be able to ‚read‘ the sky and weatherforcast.

(Translated by Google) The Malacara canyon, in June 2018, was not allowed to be visited from above, so we took the trail from below and it was very good, accompanied by the guide Giovani Bitencourt, as it is not allowed to do so without a guide, and he guided us very well. Because it is dry, much of the trail is through rocks. At the end of the trail there is a swimming pool and I couldn't resist... I loved seeing the canyon in the lower part of Praia Grande.

It's free if you park outside and walk in. There are short trails, but they can be challenging to older people. Beautiful views of the cliffs, ocean and city. Be super careful as people are known to fall, which is often fatal. It can be super windy, particularly at the end of the day. This is The postcard attraction for the city.
