We have already visited the property on several occasions and when completing the survey we always make the same comment/suggestion: the indoor pool should be more cared for (clean), the entrance slopes to all the pools slip and a lot!
In addition, it would be necessary to have watches as they have in other hot springs near the pools to be able to control the exposure time to the different water temperatures because they suggest in many cases that it is not convenient to be submerged for a long time.
I hope this time I keep it in mind because the place is very nice and we would like to return.

Acuamanía Water Park is an enticing outdoor attraction that showcases a variety of exhilarating slides, refreshing pools, and playful splash areas, all encompassed by lush green surroundings. As the leading hot spring aqua park in South America, this remarkable destination sits just 8 km away from the city center.

Pretty good with a variety of things to do. The park also organises event such as water Zumba and volleyball matches. There's only a few slides so it can get boring pretty quickly. So, I wouldn't recommend more than a day on it. They have hot water pools and cold water ones for the little ones, so its suitable for most weather types.
In terms of food, there are three or so restaurants inside the park but the menus are a bit limited with not many vegetarian options, however, it's possible to come out to lunch and back in later without having to pay again.

In the summertime when it's hot outside this is where you want to be. It's fun for the whole family. Reasonable priced and with amenities. If you are an adrenaline junkie there is there kamikaze slide which should get your heart racing. There are smaller slides and tubes you can enjoy. The pools are equipped for all ages. Places to relax and sunbathe as well. Something in it for the whole family. There are lockers to store your stuff and bathrooms to change and shower as well. Just an awesome place.

I read comments from people who protest about the dirt and the bells. I didn't see any of that. This place belongs to the La Aurora ranch and does not have a cleaning service. You can clean it yourself and help the environment. The bells are angel callers and they have been there for 16 years since I started going, it is a tradition. People make a lot of promises and carry things that can be mistaken for dirt but have very important sentimental value. There is no disabled access.
At night there are UFO sightings and excursions are made to spend the night there.

Very beautiful and unknown place. Lots of waterfalls in the area, but you need a tourist guide to reach them, as they are inside private property. Surrounded by hills, amazing views. Highly recommended El Caudillo as family hostel. Good homemade food and nice attention.

5 Cautionary stars. For starters the location is incorrect. It will place you in the middle of no where. Look for the visitors center off of the main road "Ruta." It was closed for me today (5/24/19) but that doesn't mean anything as the national park system here in Uruguay is not very reliable and is quite possibly underfunded. The tourism website is not very user friendly, and yes I speak Spanish but sometimes I want the information is English as the translation is different. In this case the translation was different but also incomplete. There is no mention of needing to call or work with a tour guide to find all of these "hidden gems" inside this wonderfully beautiful and untouched landscape. The only reason I am giving this a 5 star review is because of the raw beauty of the place and the absolute lack of any industrialization.

There's a lovely place for a family picnic barely 200 meters from the mall. It's public and quiet with some wooden decks. Also great to fly kites

Lots of variety of product that are generally hard to come by in Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay. Prices in general are not as competitive as those in Ciudad de la Este, electronics in some cases are double the price. Some of the beers are reasonably priced, 1 bottle of Estrella for 1.50 dollars, 1 bottle of Voll Damn was going for 1.25 dollars. The wines are not as cheap as I had been told; go into into any half descent supermarket in Argentina or Uruguay and you'll find good wines at a lower price. If you're a public employee or doctor looking for a place to spent your easily earned money then by all means try this place. If you are a serious shopper in search for a bargain you should head over to Ciudad del Este in Paraguay if its not to out of the way.

(Translated by Google) Amazing!!! We schedule Epic Day, which takes place one Saturday a month. The employees and the Hermann Pötter family were present, welcoming visitors. The treatment is 6 stars. We sample a variety of wines at our leisure, starting with a presentation of the property, followed by a visit to the very well-equipped wine industry and ending with lunch paired with the wines. The explanation of the harmonization is from the owner Gabriela herself. Wonderful food, abundant parrilla, lamb, Ojo de Bife and Ribs. Animals from the property, fresh meat slaughtered for the Epic Day event. To conclude, the lunch features live gauchesque music from the border, which made the atmosphere of the event even more special. Shivering!!! I recommend it to the fullest. Thinking about taking friends from São Paulo. To get there, fly via Santa Maria and then 2 hours by car to the winery in Don Pedrito.

Great place! Huge area with lots of sculptures made by the resident artist. And I mean it. Imagine the Garden of the 1000 faces (sculptures). Or even the giant (6 meters high) Buddha in the top of the Silence Mount. (Translated by Google) It's an excellent tour. Several shady places to sit. Even children will like it. I recommend taking the trail starting at the entrance on the right, because then it ends at the lake that has several sculptures, and then, when you're a little tired, you can sit in the shade and enjoy it. Just like that, there is no snack bar (I don't know what the restaurant is like) and the road to get there, coming from Júlio de Castilhos, is 20km of dirt with lots of rocks and holes. But it's worth the effort.

First, because we keep walking in circles, there are several paths and no signs indicating the route or the things (two) to be seen. The only sign is the entrance. We walked more than 1km in the park, which according to the person who charged the entrance fee, there were species of trees and plants from dozens of countries, there is no way for us to know, except for 2 species that had signs, the rest was bush. There are also no animals or birds, which we find very strange for an area recovered 60 years ago.
All in all, I wouldn't go back and I don't recommend the tour. Traveled 300km to the biggest disappointment. The only beautiful thing was the lake, which we couldn't take a picture on the deck because there was a photographer taking pictures of a girl and he became the owner of the space.

(Translated by Google) Rua Júlio de Castilhos is the first paved road in Rio Grande do Sul.
Initially called Rua Direita, it was successively called Rua do Imperador and Silveira Martins, currently Júlio de Castilhos.
The paving was carried out by slaves, in 1813, with stones taken from the Jacuí River. The street was designed according to the Roman Via Appia, with river water flowing through the center. In its corners, there are stone friaries, which were used to tie horses.
Rua da Ladeira, as it is also called, served to connect the top of Fortaleza, where the city was born, with the residential part, as the commercial area was almost entirely close to the beach and neighboring streets. Its paving also facilitated the access of cargo arriving via the Rio Pardo to the city center.
In 1954, it was listed as a national historical heritage site, and the listing covers the section located between the corner of Rua Andrade Neves and Praça da Matriz.
Walking down this street is like traveling to the period of colonial Brazil, feeling the emotion of going back into Brazilian history.

The Catedral São João Batista in Santa Cruz do Sul is a stunning Gothic Catholic temple, considered the largest of its kind in South America. This beautiful cathedral, both inside and out, leaves visitors awe-struck with its grandeur and architectural splendor. It bears a resemblance to the iconic Notre Dame in Paris, albeit on a smaller scale. The church is not only a significant religious landmark but also an ideal place for tranquility and introspection.

(Translated by Google) I gave it 5 stars, but in my opinion it would be 4.5. The place is beautiful, very tasteful, well maintained, fair price and good service! For all that, I gave it a '5' and not a '4', however, the only thing that wouldn't get full marks for me is the fact that in the barbecue area (on both sides of the lagoon) there are no taps for We wash our hands (imagine, preparing meat and having nowhere to wash it) and utensils after use. You can wash your hands by going to the bathroom (which isn't that close), but you can't wash your utensils. I suggest you consider installing at least one station with a tap and sink on each side for better customer hygiene! I believe there is plenty of water coming down from the hills on the way back!
Keep in mind that the restaurant does not open every day, however, there is also a kind of warehouse on site, which is still a convenience!
