A nice place, specially for kids. There’s a train tour from São João to tiradentes and back, costing (as of today) R$70,00. It takes 30min to arrive in tiradentes. You need to book in advance (I’d recommend at least a day before the intended trip). The views aren’t fantastic, but it’s still a nice thing to do.

Let's trying to discover new places to get some inspiration for my daily posts and refreshing my mind through the town during this weekend. One of the best waterfalls in Carrancas, also one of the most famous, what makes the place be always busy, you have to be very lucky to get it empty. Best time to visit is at midway, because the sun will shine in the middle of the cliffs and direct in the water, and you will understand why the place is called Emerald.

The Pirâmide São Tomé das Letras, located in Sao Thome das Letras, State of Minas Gerais, Brazil, offers stunning panoramic views of mountains, valleys, and sunsets. The simple stone hut with a pyramidal roof provides a vantage point to capture beautiful landscapes and meet friendly people from different countries. The town itself is an attractive old stone masonry town with fascinating slate streets to explore on foot.
The "Pyramid" itself is not worth noting, but the location, with a 360° view of all this region of southern Minas Gerais is breathtaking, and the sunset is an spectacle on its own.

The Rota do Café Especial dude ranch offers a fascinating opportunity to delve into the world of special coffee and its regional history. Visitors can explore plantations and gain insight into the entire journey from bean to cup. This immersive experience is highly educational, fostering a deep appreciation for top-notch coffee. It is truly worthwhile for those seeking an enriching adventure in pursuit of the finest quality brew.

(Translated by Google) The tour is cool. You get to know what coffee production is like, from harvesting to the packaging process for its sale and, of course, there is a tasting at the end. What was wrong was that our guide talked about some random and sexist topics that left a lot of people feeling embarrassed in the car. And when I was able to buy Unique products, they messed up a lot with my order, which was consistent with the company's website. Neither the manager nor the owner who were there helped, and the rest of the employees kept pushing the purchase to each other. If it weren't for the helpfulness of the employee Ingrid, I would have given up on the purchase. The attention of the farm owner in Carmo de Minas was a positive difference.
(Original)

A super tasty snack was served at the farmhouse, where we were also able to enjoy a personal, well-kept and very interesting museum. Polite and helpful guide and driver. Weak point is the transport (very old and noisy minibus). It's worth the experience.

Vale a experiência.

We tried for two days in a row to take the tour and on the second day, we arrived at the scheduled location 10 minutes late and they didn't wait for us. It was a private tour, I didn't understand why they didn't wait 10 minutes if we were talking on WhatsApp and said we were next door, on the way. It was frustrating and we lost the opportunity to go on other tours because of it. They left and no longer responded to messages.

Praça Dr. Emílio Silveira, 14 - Centro, Alfenas - MG, 37130-000, Brazil
The hiking trail to Pedra do Cruzeiro begins after passing through a gate where you can leave your car. The walk takes approximately 30 minutes and presents a moderate level of difficulty at certain points. While not a long journey, it does require some effort, especially as there is no shade along certain stretches. However, the panoramic view from the top is breathtaking, offering a stunning 360-degree perspective.
You’ll need to leave your car at the gate and then begin a 40 degree climb with no shade. The climb isn’t super difficult, just steep! If you’re there on a hot sunny day be prepared with sun block and a towel to wipe the sweat off… it won’t take too long if you just keep going and my goodness the view at the top is wonderful.

The landscape up there is very beautiful, worth the trip!
