Amazing wines! Cabernet Franc delivers a rich blend, we love it!

They are among the best wineries in Brazil and South America. The terroir is perfect for wines, high termal amplitude, winter is very cold, a lot of sun to ripen the fruit and a soil with good drainage. Added to this, modern equipments and high quality inputs and materials. The result, great wines. The Chardonnay is the best of South America.

(Translated by Google) A beautiful guided tour (paid) through the winery's production process. I went in January, low season. It is necessary to schedule, but I arrived without an appointment and they fit me in an available time. The very friendly and technical guide, patiently explained each step, allowing us to clarify doubts. At the end we tasted 5 labels and we have access to the store to buy if we want. The place is very well maintained and tasteful. Great for photos and having a good wine. Wines are "expensive" like any quality product. The cheapest is approximately 60 reais.

(Translated by Google) A winery with industrial capacity that does not lose sensitivity through visitation options. I went on the guided tour and I recommend it. It can be done through the website, but the day I went I was able to pay instantly without signing up beforehand. The visit tells the history of the place, explains the wine production processes, shows each stage and finally we taste some of the house's main products. The only point I could suggest is that given the location I expected more from the tasting. It was a stale bread. But the visit is very worth it.

Other important ones are mentioned: Leone Di Venezia, Monte Agudo, Villagio Basseti, Vivalti, Quinta da Neve, Villagio Conti and Pericó. He has already won several national and international awards.
It produces rose wine considered the best national wine in this category. Created by businessman Manoel Dilor Freitas, it is currently managed by his children.
A must-visit for anyone who tours the region. You can take a guided tour of the cantina at a cost of R$75.00/person (price as of August 2023), where the various stages of winemaking are shown. In a projection room there is a video presentation about the company and, along the way, a winemaker gives some explanations about the winemaking process. We also visit the place where the wines are stored in barrels and oak barrels and finally in bottles.
There is the possibility of wine tasting in the cantina bar, which is very well decorated. At the entrance there is a large room for displaying works of art, an art gallery. Generally with exhibitions and sales of canvases and other works. Finally you can buy wines produced by the wine company. Surrounding the cantina are protected vineyards, very well managed.

Waterfall Bride's Veil is a charming bed and breakfast located in a national park, offering simple accommodations and a restaurant with picturesque views. It is conveniently situated along the route to Morro da Igreja, making it easily accessible from the main road. Visitors can enjoy close proximity to the stunning waterfall, where they can admire its beauty and the tranquil flow of the adjacent river. While the area may become noisy when crowded, it still offers a peaceful and scenic environment for leisurely walks.
Worth the visit without a doubt! It is on the way of those who are coming-going from Morro da Igreja and the access is close to the main road.
It is possible to get close to the waterfall, to contemplate its beauty and the calm of the water running along the river beside. The place is a bit small, if there are a lot of people it can make the visit a little bit noisy and unpleasant.
It is necessary to pay a small conservation fee (so to speak) and besides the waterfall, also has restaurant, snack bar and the most diverse souvenirs and products for sale.

An explanatory film about the Siege is shown there, and then there is a speech by the local employee. It is important to go there to see the exit point of the famous tunnel that connected the theater to the neighboring house, through which members of the army could leave without going straight down the street. You must absolutely, without any hesitation or second thoughts, sample the costella dish at Vinícola Araucária winery. Having experienced my fair share of costella in various journeys across Brazil, I can confidently say that this hidden vineyard in the lush green hills of Parana takes first place. The costella is slow-cooked to perfection, adorned with a crispy and savory crust while remaining tender and moist on the inside - an unforgettable delight.
You have to absolutely without any hesitation or second thoughts try the costella dish. I have had my fair share of costella in my journeys throughout Brazil, and believe it or not, this vineyard hidden in the rolling green hills of parana takes the first place. Pefectly slow cooked, adorned with a crunchy and salty crust with a butter soft and moist inside makes this dish difficult to forget. Accompanied with a mandioca and a fluffy faroffa. The food was enjoyed with a home grown Anugustifolia Cabernet Sauvignon, which they grow right outside the restaurant. I Will definitely be back to try the costella, just to make sure it is as good as I remember... here are some pics to enjoy. Enjoy

Examples that I experienced in this diary:
1st, the sparkling wine offered at check in was completely without perlage, we commented with the receptionists (who were extremely attentive) and they did not have another cold bottle to offer;
2nd, the wine purchased at dinner costing considerably more than in the store is strange, in addition to being stored incorrectly, the cellar was even turned off, the wine was served at a much higher temperature than recommended on the label, affecting the properties, so much so that we did not even consume it. 1/3 of the bottle. So much so that on the guided tour we tasted the same label and they were completely different products;
3rd, we liked the accommodation, but the fireplace didn't work and there was a leak in the bathroom. We woke up to find our personal belongings soaked in the sink.
It is worth mentioning that all the staff were very friendly and helpful with our requests and that the hotel has everything it needs to be a success!

1º a espumante oferecida no check in estava completamente sem perlage, comentamos com as recepcionistas (que foram extremante atenciosas) e as mesmas não tinham outra garrafa gelada para oferecer;
2º o vinho comprado no jantar, custar consideravelmente mais caro que na loja é estranho, além de estar armazenado incorretamente, adega inclusive estava desligada, o vinho foi servido numa temperatura muito superior ao recomendado no rótulo, afetando as propriedades, tanto que não consumimos nem 1/3 da garrafa. Tanto que no tour guiado degustamos o mesmo rótulo e eram produtos completamente diferentes;

Goodness. If there was a negative rating, I would apply it in this rare case. If you spent your childhood years and summers here, then surely its a memory from childhood and scores a 5 on emotional points. If you are a foreigner and have traveled to pretty much any other beach anywhere else on earth, then do not come here. Dark murky sewer infested water with crowded buildings and absolutely no infrastructure. Drive to any other destination and you are sure to find a better way to spend your time. Or stay home and watch netflix with some popcorn

Praia Brava de Caiobá offers a vast expanse of sandy shoreline, complemented by various food and beverage stands, restroom facilities, and an animated promenade. It is renowned for hosting a captivating fireworks display to celebrate the New Year. This beach presents an ideal setting to relish quality time with friends or family. Although not extraordinary in any particular way, it provides a pleasant destination for a family vacation, boasting commendable infrastructure.

Solo Sagrado de Guarapiranga is a serene place of worship located by a lake. The temple features 16 sturdy columns and an accompanying tower that stands amidst well-manicured gardens, providing ample space for large-scale religious services. The overall atmosphere exudes love, peace, and tranquility that makes it a top destination for those seeking spiritual fulfillment. This sacred sanctuary offers an enchanting paradise experience to visitors who wish to connect with their spirituality in a peaceful environment.

Went for Cinese New Yesr and was highly impressed by the temple and koi fish pond and garden. Lovely oasis just outside the center if São Paulo

I visited this place to get acquainted with the culture of Buddhism. It was a wonderful experience, people are friendly and will gladly show and explain everything, the building and the territory are very beautiful and well maintained. Very quiet, calm and spiritually and mentally ... Free parking, and next to a huge beautiful green park with a pond in which there are many turtles. Bought some Chinese souvenirs and incense from a local shop.

I was able to visit the temple last Sunday with friends, and I must say that it was such a stellar place! It is not hard to navigate, everything can be found rather easily. The lake they have there is lovely, having fish and turtles that were easy to see. We saw some colourful birds, and the bridge over the lake was a cool feature. There are vivid, colourful landscapes to be seen. The statues remind you that you are not in an ordinary place. The temple itself and its surroundings are nothing like the architecture we see in this country, so it draws your eyes to the roofs, walls, doors, finishings and more. There were people ready to provide useful information. There was some sort of celebration going on, and it was interesting to see. This is definitely a great place to visit even if you are not a religious individual, as the temple is absolutely stunning!

Very well maintained, a peaceful break not far from São Paulo, and with plenty of parking space. They offer meditation orientation for free on weekends and it is a great way to get you started!

Very peaceful temple at the top of a hill. There are great views and the grounds are lovely and relaxing. I saw a little monkey in a tree! There is a nice vegetarian buffet restaurant and a cafe. Also a nice gift shop.

This a magnificente Buddhist temple ! Whether you want to stay quiet and calm or learn more about Chinese culture, there are several activities you can develop there, for example the traditional Chinese calligraphy classes. When they celebrate the new Chinese year the whole temple receives hundreds of people and they perform various traditional rituals and dances. Tip: go with comfortable clothes !

Parque da Mônica is a lively indoor theme park located in Sao Paulo. The venue is spacious and features a variety of colorful rides that are perfect for young children. While there may be limited options for eating within the park, it is conveniently located near a food court at the nearby shopping mall. Parque da Mônica provides an excellent opportunity to let kids burn off energy on rainy days or just have fun any day of the week.
Kids Loved spend the day there.

Great place to take the kids and let them burn energy when it's a rainy day.

It's nice, but there's no reason for dolls to cost the insane amount it does. Quite plain quality, it's clearly focused to make someone rich.

The best park for young kids in São Paulo. No good options for eating, but it's in front of the food court of the shopping mall.

It's a good park to spend with children. The staff are very welcoming, helpful and politely. There are a lot of things to entertain children and also some attractions includes adults. All very light as expected. Many colors, lights and ambient sound for kids. In case of need, there is a silent room. Specials children are also included to have fun as everyone else.

A very beautiful family friendly park, you can get your tickets at the reception before entering the park, it is so beautiful! Lots of safe kid’s friendly activities, my favorite is the water ride! I enjoyed it with my son, it’s a lovely place.

Costs around R$60 per adult, so a little expensive compared to theme parks abroad for what it is. Seemed somewhat like a fairground (aside from the roller-coaster and log flume), albeit with a theme throughout. My daughter (2 years old) thoroughly enjoyed it though, and it was absolutely ideal for her. We spent about 4 hours there.
Kids need to be around 0.80m or above to get the most from all the rides.

The Butantan Research Institute is a world-renowned research institute for poisonous animals, and it's home to some of the world's most impressive living snakes, vipers and spiders. It's also a fascinating place with a rich history and mythic significance for worldwide research into poison-related diseases.
Great place to see reptiles and amphibians. There are lots of snakes, some outdoors in exhibits, and a beautiful place to walk around.

It’s a good place to visit with your family.
Admission fee is only 6 BRL per adult.
Student is 2.50 BRL as of June, 2023.
There are a lot of exhibitions including virus, vaccine, snakes and others. You can enjoy it for hours.

One of the world most respectful research institutes for poisonous animals. At the sane time, very impressive exhibition of living snakes, vipers and spiders. Entrance fee: R$ 6,00.

A must for all snake lover 👌🏻
Full of history and mythic place for worldwide research. They develop antivenoms and medicines against many diseases.
MacaronProd — Google review
If you like science/plants/animals, plan to spend a whole day here! I only had time for the vaccine museum and the botanical garden/serpentarium, and had a great time. Most (not all) of displays had some English translation. Truly an under-appreciated gem, especially since an entry ticket to all the museums is only R$6
Meg Edwards — Google review
I liked it a lot. But they were closing to reparations, so there were an air of "closing time" and a lot of unavailable attractions.
The museums are simple but appealing to children. The space is beautiful, large and well maintained.
The serpents and the monkeys weren't there, as their spaces were already cleaned to the reform. So no opinion here...
Plan a couple of hours here, leave it flexible and stay longer if you please. But it definetly worth a try.
Rodrigo Garcia Marques — Google review
Lots of snakes! A few lizards, a couple frogs, many tarantulas. I was hoping I’d get to see what they actually do in the biological institute based on the reviews for it, but it was just a little one room “museum.” Snakes were cool but as an adult with no children, beware that the screaming within the snake exhibit was so ear piercingly loud and constant that I considered putting in headphones to stifle the sound. Maybe on a regular weekday it’s not as bad!
Witch-King of Angmar — Google review
Visited in 2008, as a high school student it was an awesome experience! It's an experimental school with one of the world's largest snake collections. Definitely worth a visit for all the biologists or future biologists out there.

Parque Villa-Lobos, situated in the Alto de Pinheiros neighborhood, is a sprawling park that draws around 8,000 visitors on weekdays and up to 60,000 on weekends. Named after a renowned Brazilian composer, it spans 732,000 square meters and boasts a variety of attractions such as soccer fields, bike paths, playgrounds, an amphitheater and even a library.
This is the place to be on the weekend, especially Sunday. Everyone from everywhere gathers to enjoy the natural surroundings and outdoor activities. There's Zumba classes, an open air gym, tracks to run or go cycling, or just spread out your blanket and have a picnic. Wherever you look there's action on the go. There are lots of places to buy something to eat or drink.
Linton Nightingale — Google review
Beautiful park with walking and biking trails. We even spotted two tiny owls while we were there. There is plenty of parking at both entrances.

I recently visited Parque Villa-Lobos in São Paulo on a rainy Sunday morning for my long run, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! This park is an absolute gem for runners and bikers alike. The 3.5 km / 2.2 mi loop provided the perfect track for my run, with scenic views and well-maintained paths. What's more, the availability of restrooms and a filtered water station made my experience even more convenient. And to top it off, vendors selling fresh coconut water were a delightful treat post-run. Rain or shine, Parque Villa-Lobos is the ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Five stars without a doubt!

Eghe Ohikhueme — Google review
A beautiful, big, dynamic park with tons of things to do and to walk around. There were lots of people jogging, training, taking selfies, biking around, having a delicious coconut, etc.
There’s also the biggest wheel in Latin America apparently, or one of the biggest ones. And I also saw a super vintage and cute merry-go-round.
The park is pet friendly, and families can enjoy picnics, small gatherings and much more!

Incredible. Clean, vibrant, full of people and their dogs, loads of bikes and families and children. Best of all, the infrastructure supports it all.

It is ons of Sao Paulos better parks, huge with very nice trees and walkways, lanes for bicicles. Huge Fairess wheel, a must do thing in the park. Quite crowded over weekends but still a nice get away if you stay between the trees to avoid the weekend rush, during the week it is very empty and you will have most of the park to yourself.
Le Roy Swart — Google review
I like this park so much. There are 3 running tracks and 1 for biking. Many runners use the bike track to run on the weekend. It's pleasurable to run there, stay a little under a tree, relaxing, and enjoy nature. You can also play tennis, basketball, or enjoy the various attractions the park offers every weekend. There is a huge library there too. The only problem is the bathrooms; they are far from each other and not well maintained.
Rodrigo Santos — Google review
It is 5 if you enjoy different activities with the family. Free entrance and lots of washrooms and benches. In terms of nice pictures and selfies they can Improve on that as they have a huge land. Lots of restaurants. Can rent a bike. Mostly a park to be active and exercise.
Antoine Assaad — Google review
Good place and there is a big wheel and the cost is around $70 R per person. The audio didn’t work well. The park is big but is a little insecure.
Lorena G9898 — Google review
Huge park with lots of different activities, including outdoor gyms, carnival rides etc. there’s great bike paths to ride too. Note the various activities have different hours of operations.

The trees have grown, the grass well taken care of. Peaceful place.
During the week its easy to park and less crowed then weekends.

You can take your own bike or rent a bike to have an amazing ride around the park! there are different views and you can definitely take your loving pets to have a walk there. You can also enjoy sitting and watching your kids playing in the kids place.
