Monte Verde is a beloved destination for many, including myself, who has visited seven times in as many years. This charming place offers a variety of activities and attractions that cater to different interests. One of the main draws is its gastronomy, making it an increasingly popular choice for couples seeking a romantic getaway. However, the natural beauty, climate, and hospitality also contribute to its appeal. When planning a trip to Monte Verde, one common question that arises is where to dine.

Wet'n Wild
Water park
Water & Amusement Parks
Park
Wet'n Wild is an expansive and vibrant water park with a multitude of slides, a wave pool, and occasional DJ-led events. While the food court options are limited and slightly expensive, children often delight in the burger meals available. Moreover, there are also more affordable snack choices that benefit parents financially. The staff members are exceptionally helpful and amiable. However, one drawback is the steep price for parking at 50R$, especially when considering the already high ticket price of 99R$.
The park didn't have many options of food courts, the food is a bit pricey but kids always enjoy to get the burguer meals. Options of cheaper snacks are also available which is a plus for the parent's pockets ! :)
The staff is very helpful and friendly.
The only bad side is the expensive car park ! 50R$ seems a bit much when you pay 99R$ for the ticket itself (whhe buying in advance and not in a combo, with a combo is cheaper).
Thayani Conaggin — Google review
Crazy expensive and over priced. Prices are abusive.
Its not as fun as i remembered and I got hurt in qll the rides.
Make sure to buy tickets before you go, otherwise you pay $50 more. Plus another $50 just for parking, and another $30 for a locker. Like I said, abusive.

Eat before you leave your home.
My wife always talk to me that would she like to go in a water club. Although, we live in a city with beach she prefers fresh water. The last month we went to Jundiaí SP and we resolve have fun in a club, so we choose Wet'n Wild. I already paid 50R$ only to park my car under the sun. inside the club we wasted some time find place for accommodation but I not found. However, we like the wave swim and the place for kids. Finally we went have a meal and one more time wast more time in the line. When our time arrived there weren't desks available we had eat standing up under the sun.

Great day out, I really enjoyed this water park and my 11year old neice also had fun. The park wasn't busy, queues were short, it was clean and tidy and the food and drink on offer was of a good enough standard. The yellow capsule drop slide was scary but fun, and the white half pipe and family rubber ring slides were my favourite. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone to visit and would go again.
Amusement park featuring 5 themed areas with roller coasters, a river raft ride & a kids' zone.
Super legal! Great amusement park for the whole family. Each area has its own special magic, from Egypt to The Wild West. Hopi Hari is growing and I'm excited to see what comes in the future!
Jason Widawski — Google review
Hopi Hari is a nice theme park to spend a day. I highly recommend purchasing the VIP pass because the line wait times prevented us from riding all the rides; the VIP pass is quite expensive though. The rides we rode were fun and the evening show was amazing! The food quality was average but I enjoyed the bacon and cheddar fries.
Lindsay Castano — Google review
It's a good place, the biggest problem is there's no free water to drink, covid is over already but you can't find water, only way it's to buy a water bottle.
The hamburger is really bad but at least is cheap, the buildings is in need of repairs.
Now on the good side, a lot of attractions, a big team to help you, organized line and almost all works are smiling.
Matheus Martins — Google review
I paid R$130 to go in 12th of September of 2021. I managed to do go to just 1 ride (the teacup that spins). All the lines were at least 02h30 long. I used to go there as a kid, but it is not the same thing anymore, they don't respect the customer, and even though lines are common in every amusement park, nothing is like Hopi Hari, and I've been to over 20 amusement parks in 4 different continents.
gabriel bastos — Google review
It’s a very nice amusement park in São Paulo! Definitely gonna come again!
MsKrystl — Google review
The place is great but they let too many people in at the same time. I paid R$129 for my ticket and I managed to go on two rides. I had to stay in the queue for just under two hours for each ride which is totally unacceptable. Would really think twice about going back again. Very unfortunate as this was the same experience for thousands of other people who paid this price for a fun day out. Not to mention the expensive car park fee too.
David Kelleher — Google review
The park is old, lacks maintenance, is rusty, and outdated. We paid more than 200 BRL per person for a standard pass at the entrance because we couldn't buy tickets online, and it wasn't worth it. The queues for the main attractions took more than an hour, even though we went on a Monday, expecting it to be less crowded. However, school groups were present, ensuring long lines. The only redeeming feature was the live shows. In conclusion, I don't recommend visiting this park.
Miguel Angel Guerrero — Google review
Great place! The day I visited (Feb 9th 2019) the park was very clean and with just a few people inside, I would say 2500 people. The lines were incredibly fast. The restaurants had slow service. The park is recovering from a strong crisis. It has been refurbished and everything is shining new, but the low number of visitors is still a sign that it still have a long way to go. But I loved it! 10!
Vinicius Garcia — Google review
A great place to spend a day with or without children.
There are lots of different and varied facilities.
It is not possible to pay on the spot in cash just to recharge a card or credit card.
The icing on the cake was that anyone who has a birthday gets another card as a gift 🤩
Yifat Ten Ami — Google review
We went with our 6-year-old and had lots of fun. Although there are minimum height limits, but she was able to enjoy what she could go on to.
I recommend buying tickets on the internet in advance because you get a discount instead of buying on the same day.
Vitória Kuo — Google review
Great park with very interesting concept: the place is its own country, and fun is the main rule. Unfortunately, they've always had financial issues, which currently leads to ever-in-maintenance attractions and the feeling that all of its potential is going to waste. Some of the coolest attractions were closed on February-21, when we visited the park.
Employees are polite and gentle, but nothing compares to the reception at the entrance: clowns and other artists sing, dance and welcome the public, with contagious joy and excitement. They also seem concerned about COVID and wearing a mask is required at 100% of times, besides every attraction is cleaned with alcohol after a guest leaves.
Attractions are not as radical as they seem, but roller coasters are definitely worth the experience. The wooden one is not only impressive, but it also crosses the road near the park, and is an unique experience.
To avoid the kilometric lines, it's recommended to acquire a VIP pass. However, it costs BRL 120 or more (depending on the day), twice the entrance ticket value. This is expensive for Brazilian standards, but unfortunately it's the only way to have fun and enjoy your day at the park without wasting hours waiting in line.
Food is overall too expensive and not tasty, so it's also recommended to take some snacks and try not to eat much. Taking water and sunscreen is also the most important thing and this is located on the countryside, and sun seems to hit differently when compared to São Paulo.
To save money, take an Uber from Jundiaí train station.
Overall, park fans can get a great experience for an expensive price. I wouldn't recommend it for people who are not willing to spend money, people who are not already willing to give it a chance, or very tall or large people (attractions seem designed for smaller and skinnier people. Most are not fit for people above 120kg, so a bigger person wouldn't fit a roller coaster seat, for example)

Amazing place to go with your family specially if you have kids, they will love it. The trails is quit long for small child's and they don't have accessibility, or if you go with a small kids you will have to carry them during some stages of the trail, but apart of it is an excellent place to visit.
I recommend to arrive after lunch in hot days, you will need around 3 hours to do the course. It has a restaurant and cafeteria to eat.

Paraíso das Aves, Av. ZooParque Itatiba, Rod. Dom Pedro I, KM 95.5, Itatiba - SP, 13254-762, Brazil
São Paulo Zoo is situated in a forested area spanning over 824,529 m2 originally belonging to the Atlantic Forest. It houses an extensive collection of more than 3,000 animals and invertebrates from various species including mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians - some of which are rare and endangered. The zoo provides educational programs to its visitors.
Very nice. I recommend to go during the week to avoid queues (what we actually didn't do). It's a very large ZOO, so arrive early. Not happy with accessibility for buggy/pram from the car park - which is also expensive - too rough and too many potholes. The Zoo Itself could also have better paths for families with small kids using buggy. The white tiger is really rare and really liked seeing it for the first time. The dinosaurs park, was really good and I have enjoyed it as much as my kids.

It's a marvelous place to spend the day.
A good place for young kids and family in general.
There's tap water for free.
Also you'll find places to rest along the way, because it's a very big place.
Dinosaur park require another ticket to enter.
For me, I would skip. Nothing new that I haven't seen before. But kids will certainly love it.

It's a really great place to spend the day with the family, bringing new experiences for the kids and enjoying the place along with them, despite of the reptiles and little bugs place being closed, you can have fun with the other sections of the zoo, overall it's a really good place to spend the time with ^v^

The Zoo Sao Paulo was nice for a warm day's outing with the kids. They have a good variety of animals and some very spacious animal enclosures. The ticket price was reasonable and the online ticket purchase was easy. The parking was efficient as well despite a small wait to park. The lunch options were plentiful but the lines were a bit long.

It's a great place but I had to take off two stars for the giraffe lanchonete charging R$8 for a bottle of water 😭 How sad and how greedy. It should be illegal to sell water at such a high markup. Takes away from the experience. The tickets for the zoo are already expensive and the car park too. Oh dear.
David Kelleher — Google review
There were several enclosures. I was most impressed with one of the care takers and the large tortoises. He was so good with the them and it was awesome watching one of the tortoises interact and follow his directions. You can tell he really cares for them.

Hands down the best zoo that I’ve been to in Brazil. They have lots of animals and is pretty easy to navigate. The ticket is a little pricey but definitely worth ever penny. Loved every second of my visit. Also, they have an ant colony there with a guide who tells you everything about how the ants live. I’ve been to MAAAAAANY zoos and this was by far one of the coolest things I’ve seen exhibited.
Chardonnay Francis — Google review
Nice park, exhibits, three section the bus tour, mammals and aviary/reptiles. The parking is not free, across the entrance. The 30 minuet bus tour tour was limited, supposed to get an additional 400 animals when it reopens in late March 2023. Lots of walking, bring water and snacks, most exhibits are outdoors. Start early otherwise you will not get to all the exhibits especially if you have young kids.

The museum is very nice! Ut has lots of attractions and my 7 year old daughter lived it. We arrived there in the middle of the afternoon and had only 2 hours inside. It was not enough, we are going to go back another time so we can spend more time inside.
The only problem was that it was full of visitors and some (of course not the museums fault) of the visitors were rude, didn’t respect the lines, or also the attractions, and because of bad use they were broken.
We knowthat this is not the museums fault.
Hoping to go back soon and hopefully it won’t be too crowded!
The building is very beautiful!

Museum itself seemed amazing. We had a terrible experience as everything was in Portuguese and worse part is the staff dont speak a word of English. My kids missed out as there werent any translators or tour guides to walk you through the experience in english. São Paulo Aquarium, established in 2006, is the most extensive aquarium in Brazil and a benchmark for animal care. The facility spans an area of 15,000 square meters and features two main sections: Agua Doce - showcasing Brazilian forest species; and Oceanarium providing a 180-degree view of sharks. Besides marine life, land animals like polar bears, kangaroos, bats are also present. Additionally, there is a restaurant and cinema on-site for visitors' convenience.
The aquarium is really big and has different features. You'll also find land animals.
The mermaid area cost an addtion R$20, but it is worth it.
I went with a friend and we loved it.

Sad to see the animals isolated in small inclosures. All of the mammals extremely depressed.
Also the place seems more interested in selling souvenirs than anything else.

Medium-sized aquarium. Some great exhibits. Some main exhibits closed unfortunately.
Only downside is the cost. They get you at every turn. After paying a hefty entrance fee, some underwelming attractions required yet more money (dinosaur ride and mermaid show).

Big and nice place: lots of cool fish and other animals to see. The best part was the polar bears.
The one thing I didn't like was that their website didn't say they didn't take credit cards for payments. Only debit; cash or pix. They also didn't have an ATM there to withdraw money so thankfully someone in our group had pix but as a tourist person from outside of Brazil it was very disappointing to have this experience as of I had gone there alone I couldn't have paid to enter.
So weird.
Also one of their popcorn machines didn't work; we got them replaced from another one.
LIZ ALELIZ — Google review
This place is so much bigger than it meets the eye. My wife and I spent quite a few hours browsing; The variety is astonishing and well organized. However getting in was a frustrating experience as a tourist. We couldn't buy online without a CPF, when arriving it was the only place that didn't accept credit or foreign debit so we had to walk to the closest bank for some cash. The frustrating part is that EVERYWHERE inside accepted credit/debit. Entry is not tourist friendly, bring cash
Eduardo Torres — Google review
They don't accept credit cards, so if you are a foreigner, bring cash. The experience was ok, the place is well manteined but the polar bear looked sad.
It's kind of a mix between an aquarium and a zoo, could be really fun with kids.

Neo Química Arena is located in the working-class Zona Leste and serves as the home stadium for Corinthians. The area also hosts other prominent football clubs like Palmeiras and Sao Paulo, with Santos FC having a significant fan base in the city. Visitors have shared their experiences of encountering friendly and helpful staff at the stadium, making it a memorable visit. The atmosphere during games is described as electric, especially when witnessing passionate fans like Gavioes da Fiel in action.
We being two Americans, were unable to buy tickets to last nights game after many many attempts (No CPF). We took the long journey to the stadium in hopes of buying high end tickets there from the stadium. We made it through 3 sets of boundaries before we were blessed to meet Elena at the entrance to the Fielzone area. She spoke solid English and was VERY VERY personable and helpful. We were able to purchase our tickets and had a great experience. Elena even went to find us later that night and check on us. Such a great experience by all that we met at the stadium. Great work!

Great experience. We went and saw Corinthians x Avai in November 2017. Parked near the mall and metro station. Parking was R$60, which was a little expensive in my opinion, but the parking lot was secure, so I guess it was worth it. It was still a decent walk to the stadium. Stadium was beautiful. Sat in the upper level, and the view was great, but expect to stand for the whole game. Fans sang and cheered for all 90 minutes. It can be difficult to get tickets if you're not/don't know a Brazilian. Overall a great experience

The Santos Touristic Tram offers guided tours of the city center aboard restored trams, starting from an 1867 railway station. This attraction boasts a journey through time and visits to 40 historical and cultural points of interest in the city. We recommend taking the tram ride upon arriving at the historic center of Santos to gain a better understanding of the neighborhood and its most interesting locations. The tour guides are knowledgeable and provide excellent commentary during the ride, making it a great attraction for tourists visiting Santos.
Short route finished in 15 minutes, going around Old Santos. Many historic sites pointed out. Free espresso to sample nearby Rei Do Cafe.

All old towns have trams :D Whether it's in Europe or Brazil.
It is very nice to see an old tram in such nice condition. Together with the buildings surrounding it, it is a beautiful example of the old town of Santos. Being there, you can feel the atmosphere of the past. You can also feel like in Europe, but unfortunately there such cultural values are neglected and often replaced by modernity.
It is a good starting point for exploring the old town of Santos.

Cool little train ride through the historic center of Santos. Unfortunately all information provided is in Portuguese. Still worth it for 7 reais! The ride takes about 15 minutes and drops you off again where you started. There’s vendors of artisanal craft, food and beverages next to that point.

The train itself is very nice but the tour is very short and not very interesting. The buildings at that part of Santos are in need of restoration as most of them are derelict. A shame as it was a beautiful area one day.

Santos is one of the oldest Brazilian cities and the Touristic Tram is a good opportunity to know more about Santos and it’s history on board of the trams builded in 1922 and 1911.

The Museu do Café in Santos is a museum dedicated to the history of coffee, housed in the historic building of the former Official Coffee Exchange. The architecture of the building is intricate and beautiful, with many details to admire. Inside, visitors can explore various exhibits showcasing objects, documents and audio-visual presentations that tell the story of coffee both in Brazil and around the world.
A journey through time!
The building inside is beautiful and the architecture is wonderful.
Very interesting place, for those who love coffee!
It has a cafeteria that serves a brewed coffee that is delicious! ❤
I went in Dec / 20 and on the outside it is covered in renovation, not being able to take photos.
In the surroundings there are beautiful buildings that are worth the scenery.
The museum itself is fine.
The monument is beautiful and, although it is not as interesting a visit in the city as the Aquarium or the Sacred Art Museum, it is worth it.
The problem is, ironically, as another comment pointed out, in the cafe.
I have the costume of drinking coffees of various types and expected much more from the place. Do not go to the cafeteria because you calculate expensive for ordinary coffees prepared in an ordinary way.
If you ask for the museum's iced coffee with milk - which now costs R $ 18.00 and is one of the cheapest items in the establishment - you will leave with the impression that your homemade coffee with a little milk and ice would have came out tastier.
Again, go to the museum, don't go to the cafeteria.

We had a lovely visit to the coffee museum. It's full of interesting history, it tells a good story of the area and its importance. A lot of displays on many varied topics.
Most importantly, have a coffee, maybe two, at the end in the Cafe. That's why we're there.

We spent a great time here. Everything was beyond our expectations. Not boring at all, you will be amazed to discover the hystory of coffee during the centuries. High experience level for everyone. A must do in Santos if you are here.
That's a very good and oldest place to visit .To know about the coffee and the particulars they used from be gaining for coffee production .This the good place for old history.

Located in a former Coffee Exchange that dates back to 1922.
You can see the magnificent trading floor and admire three historical paintings.
Don't forget to take a picture of the awesome stained glass ceiling window "The Saga of the Banderiantes": I suggest taking it from the center of the trading floor.
The museum also has a cafeteria where you can try coffee made from the beans that originated from the different regions of Brasil.

Great museum to learn about the farming and processing of coffee beans and extensive history related to coffee. The building is beautiful and there’s also information about the architecture and its origins. All of the information on the walls/signs is displayed in Portuguese but there’s large cards with all the same information in Spanish/English available too. Very informative! Entry was 10 reais.

The food seemed reasonable to me.
Espatinhos, mini pizzas, and pastéis were all R$7 and were as good quality as you would find in any Festa Junina. The pastel was even big. The baru was particularly good.
The park was very cute. It was obvious they paid attention to the small details.
The rides were a lot of fun, especially the Nitro-x and the other ride right next to it (that one was maybe even better!)
We spent about 7 hours there and didn't even do everything.

Praia Branca is a famous beach situated on the eastern end of Santo Amaro Island, accessible through a trail or by sea. It features a long and narrow stretch of sand surrounded by trees and eateries. The beach has a wide strip of sand with strong waves on its left side and calm waters on the right side. Beautiful beach and quite secluded. We rented an airbnb and there are posadas on the beach but it's also convenient to camp there. The best part is that it is a very non tourist area except around new years eve when the beach gets full. WiFi reception is not so good but it adds to the charm of this place. Lovely place! At weekends it is the favorite spot of bikers and motorcycle riders, since the road to the station is very pleasant. You may want to take a spin in a historically important train known as "Velha Senhora", the Old Lady, and feel what it was like to travel via railroads back in the 20's. After that, don't forget to visit the brewery in front of the station and treat yourself with some good beer and appetizers. Only way you won't enjoy any of it is if you're the kind of person who can't slow it down or be patient. Seriously. Not for rushers.

Trilha da Pedra Redonda is a relatively easy hiking trail that starts at the end of Av. das Montanhas or can be reached from the Plato trail. It takes about an hour to complete and offers a tranquil experience through lush greenery. The trail leads to a 1990m rounded peak, providing panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Hikers are advised to wear comfortable clothes and sneakers, bring water, and apply sunscreen due to windy conditions on the rocks and intense sun exposure.

I'm a tourist from the U.S and one of my favorite things to do is to see the difference between malls in different countries. Let's just say Brazilian malls are one of my new favorites. I wasn't there to buy anything so I enjoyed just looking around, however, if you were going to buy something it's not very cheap. Example: a Maybelline mascara costs 80 Reais which, for an American, would be $20.00. I would economize, look around, and maybe buy something small, but don't go there for a shopping spree. The food court is great with several options, but, again, the prices and portions are wild for me as a foreigner. Overall, the mall is pretty and clean and I would come here again just to see the different stores.

Morro do Elefante is a mountain top spot with amazing city and mountain views. It can be accessed by car or cable car, but the latter option is payable. The view from up there is definitely worth it!
Overlooking Campos do jordoan, beautiful European style town right in brazil. You can take a "ski lift" type ride up or down to the overlook. Couple of little shops and food vendors so you can spend a little extra time enjoying the view. The photos are what so much of the home, hotels, shops and restaurants are like.

It was OK but not that much of a thing to see
you have to pay to get a good photo photo it was around 5reais
The cable car is not working now so if you want to try the cable car you have to wait-a-bit more
It's also not easy to park

Beautiful view in a place that could get potential to be better.
We climbed to the elephant's hill using the scared cable car, I believe its was created with the city and never modernized.
My husband, who is Canadian, liked the experience more than I did. He was scared but he found excited at the same time. I think that because I have already been to Campos do Jordão several times, I think at this point the city, which seems to be very rich looking at the hotels in the area and people who frequent it, should have already renovated that a long time ago and have made something much better and more attractive, as the other countries that have mountains for Ski. I think don’t need to be exactly the same, but Mount Tremblant in Quebec also has a small area up hill and its not so fancy, but little more attractive and safe.
Anyway, the view is very beautiful and we can see the whole city, mountains and part of the other surrounding regions. When we get up there again, the attractions could be much more elaborate and modernized giving opportunity to locals to get better jobs, show a nicer view and give to the city, locals and visitors a better structure. I think the place with elephants is a good idea, especially for children, but they could modernize it and charge a little for the entrance to maintain the place. They also could make a kind of a little mall where people could expose their crafts making their products more attractive and a nice cafe or restaurant with a lookout ... Anyway, use a little of the American style of exposing your business, which could be better for everybody. If I had money to invest, that unfortunately is not the case at the moment, I would probably organize people and get that changed for the benefit of all city and visitors.
Grade: Eli = 3, Serge = 3
Recommend: It’s worth for the Mountain View.

Overall a very nice place. The cable car looked a bit outdated and you definitely shouldn't be afraid of heights haha. But you are rewarded at the end with a beautiful view! :)

Outdoor recreation park offering zip lining, canopy walks & bike rentals in a forest locale.
Fabulous park, so much to see and do, some easy walks, pedalling swan-shaped boats, stunning nature, playgrounds and cafes and a fabulous restaurant (Dona Chica) which is award-winning and yet cheaper than the Capivari places. Signage is exclusively in Portuguese (which is a shame) but it's easy to find your way around. Kids love to run around and explore, don't expect European safety standards in the playgrounds (as usual in Brazil) but they're good fun.

A nice park to walk around. There are several short hikes. We really enjoyed Trilha dos campos (3km), which takes you up to good views and also winds along the river for a stretch. The trail to the waterfall was much more crowded and more of a road than a trail. Overall, the park itself was very crowded excepting Trilha dos Campos. It is possible to access by bus or uber and you do have to pay to enter.

Beautiful place, very well conserved with detailed maintainance.
The park is an environmental reserve.
Activities: there are trails with different kinds of difficulty and length.
There are food trucks during the peak of the season, however there are two places that serves food all year.
There are activities for children too and playgrounds.
There is bike rent and a shop with handcrafted materials made of wood.

The Basilica of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Aparecida is a Roman Catholic church built in 1745. It boasts impressive artwork and stained glass, and holds services regularly. Aparecida proxima da Basilica, located nearby, offers a large patio for visitors to explore. The basilica is larger than expected, resembling an entire city with numerous stores and restaurants within its walls.
The most breathing cathedral in Brazil, the spiritually makes you feel the amazing atmosphere that surrounds us. It is almost impossible not to feel better after your visit to this sacred place.

#Basilica de Aparecida
is a magnificent cathedral one should not miss when visiting Brasil! The main building and the dome being the center, the hallway extends out, forming a semicircle . In the center of the square of the semicircle is an iron lid carved with spikes pointing to the twelve saints whose statues stand on the wall. It’s kinda hard to tell how big the cathedral is from the picture; but if you come and see it for yourself, it’s hard not to be in awe. .
Walking into the cathedral, I was immediately stunned by the bright colors and the solemn atmosphere. They design the interior with four sections of benches forming a cross, and the altar in the center. It’s hard to describe how beautiful it is, but trust me it is breathtaking and you couldn’t help feeling respectful to this place. Strolling around the building, you really feel like you are back in the middle age. .
Beside the cathedral is a museum, divided into two parts: the observation deck and the historical relic. From the observation deck, you can see the whole city of Aparecida and the saint river, Baraiba, where they discovered 12 pieces of saint statues. Looking out from a higher altitude, I realized how big Brasil really is! It looks like there’s no end to the horizon. If you are interested in history, the observation deck has the history written on the wall, so one can really enjoy the view while learning something. .
Let’s move on the the historical relic section. Most of the relics were collected by a women, and then many people donated their own objects to the museum. Yet, looking at those luxuries objects and statues, I couldn’t help wonder if a man as humble as Jesus would like the idea of this. .
There’s a wishing room in the cathedral also. I find the way you make a wish here quite intimidating! You need to sacrifice something you really cherish in exchange for the wish to come true. Sounds alright? There are candles of feet and hands! Wow if I need to sacrifice those just to make the wish come true, forget about the wish! 😂😂😂😂😂 .
Basilica de Aparecida is truly a place worth visiting. Make sure you come if you are in Brasil!

This should be included in the must visit places in Brazil. The cathedral is huge and very beautiful. The dome ia decorated with paintings of Brazilian fauna. The sacred image of the Holly Mary, which was found by locals and is attributed to several miracles, is exposed there. The energy of this place is hard to describe.

It was bigger than o ever imagined. It’s like an entire city, it takes hours to walk around and be able to appreciate every detail. Lots of stores inside and restaurants. With the Covid-19 restrictions, we couldn’t see more of the inside details but it was worth it. They have mass every hour and multiple locations as well. I loved it. Perfect to buy gifts and there more attractions outside the Basilica as well. The entire city is filled with attractions and even the cities nearby.

The Basílica Histórica de Nossa Senhora Aparecida is a welcoming place for pets, as visitors are surprised by how well-behaved they are. It's possible to attend mass with your furry friends without any issues. When visiting, it's recommended to sit closer to the door and in the back rows to manage any barking. The architecture of the basilica is stunning, although some visitors were unable to enter due to closure.
Unfortunately I couldn't get inside cos it was close but it's beautiful architecture

The parish priest tried to prevent a large flock of faithful to pray the Holy Rosary in front of the church. This had been announced days in advance. Instead he purposely rang all of the church bells, to make so much noise that nobody could understand a word - it was a wonderful experience to pray the Holy Rosary under such circumstance, against the orders of the pastor!
*Shame on this parish pastor!*

I'll never travel to Angra Dos Reis without this trip planner again
Itatiaia National Park is the oldest national park in Brazil, boasting a diverse array of landscapes ranging from dense rainforests to rugged peaks. The lower section of the park is easily accessible and offers visitors numerous short trails that lead to breathtaking waterfalls and natural swimming holes. Meanwhile, serious hikers and climbers can explore the remote high country via an unpaved road. The park is also home to abundant flora and fauna, such as orchids, monkeys, and tropical birds.
Wonderful national park at Itataia. It's possible to visit the park on foot, bike or by car. Visitors entering the park by car must pay an extra fee (around R$ 24,00) to take it's paved and non paved roads on a motored vehicle. The activities available at the park for visitors range from a beautiful cultural centre with many historical highlights, track trails in a rich forest terrain, magnificent waterfalls to admire and freshen up, numerous bird watching spots, and exuberant viewpoints of the Mantiqueira Mountain and it's wildlife. The difficulty of tracks may vary a lot. Upon entry on the park, visitors are given a detailed map, which shows what's possible to do whilst visiting the site. The park is basically divided into a lower and an upper part. The most demanding tracks, which are also those that one needs to plan in advance, are located in the upper part of park. In those areas, it's possible to camp on designated areas or stay for the night at one of the park's lodging houses (reservation in advance needed). In the park's website, there are lots of information for visitors, and high definition pdf maps for downloading, as well as a list of well trained guides on the park whenever the need arises. It's not possible to park in any spot by the road, the permitted parking areas will be sign posted. All around the park, it's possible to see restaurants, hotels and other private properties, which means there's no time available to do everything you'll find at the park. It's a highly recommended visit, and a place not to forget.

It's a decent park, but beware that the upper portion of the park is almost impossible to get up with a regular car. You DEFINITELY need a high-clearance vehicle like an SUV or 4x4 to do it, or a motorcycle.
I tried to ask the staff about this beforehand and they were unhelpful and didn't even know about this.

A completely different environment if you use the north west entrance. Warning the 12km road can be very bad. Warning 2: Arrive early the last entrance is around 2pm. You must leave the park by 5pm. This may change during they year so it is best to chemo in advance.
