Satu Beach Club
$$$$expensive
Restaurant
Satu Beach Club is an authentic seaside tavern, positioned just a stone's throw away from the shore. This establishment boasts the most delectable caipirinhas in Bahia. With Fernanda at its helm, a congenial proprietor, and exceptional cuisine, this locale exudes sheer brilliance. The entirety of Satu Beach Club is exceptional - from its extraordinary aura to its superb dining options. It consistently delivers an unparalleled experience that leaves visitors enchanted.
A true beach bar 10 meters from om the water. The tastiest caipirinhas in Bahia.

I ordered vegan ceviche and vegan linguine. Ordered in Portuguese. Was brought vegan linguine and normal ceviche. As a vegan of 9 years eating a few pieces of this was deeply disturbing. Staff not well equipped to appreciate dietary limitations.

(Translated by Google) An excellent option in the middle of nowhere. Satu beach is isolated and far from the center of Caraíva, which makes it very interesting for those who want peace and isolation. The walk was long (average 4km), but the structure offered here was worth it. Excellent food, drink and service. A gin and tonic with spices, including bits of cocoa that look like dark chocolate. We ordered a portion of VM shrimp, which looked like giant shrimp compared to what I was used to, accompanied by a delicious spicy pineapple puree. We also ordered a ceviche, which was sensational, very tasty. Of course, I didn't forget to try a dose of Neptune, a typical drink made here in Caraíva. There are tables on the deck and also beds on the sand strip.

(Translated by Google) You thought of paradise. It's there in Caraíva. A coastal and riverside city. Meeting of the sea and the Caraíva River. The sea has almost no waves and warm waters, in the area very close to the river. The river also has nooks and sandbanks to relax without worrying. For those who know how to swim, you can cross the river safely. But there is a curious thing about this river, at low tide the current leads to the sea, but when the tide starts to rise the river is almost without current. As the tide rises, the current reverses and goes from sea to river. It was very funny. We went down and floated up the river. Of course you need to know how to swim as you will be taken to the middle of the river. But to get to paradise you have to struggle. Leaving Trancoso takes around 1 hour or so on a dirt road, full of bumps and potholes. Arriving in Nova Caraíva, you have to stop at the parking lot, 20.00 and take a boat to cross the river, which takes about 10 minutes, paying 5.00 per person on the way there and back. There is no vehicle circulation in the city, and it is all sand. Before arriving at the beach there are little markets where you can stock up on drinks which are very expensive at the stalls. As for food, we chose to stay at a Flamengo tent, with a sun lounger, and we ordered fish which was very good. A day of guaranteed fun in a paradisiacal place.

Você pensou no paraíso.

At the end of the trail there are canoeists who cross to the village of Caraíva charging 5 reais per person, but only in the morning and afternoon, as at night it is only possible to cross at the port. In addition to being a good option for those staying nearby, it is also the preferred option for those who want to save money by avoiding parking. However, it is possible that some horses or motorbikes may appear on the way, so it is worth paying a little attention...

The Praia Novo Prado is a vast and spacious beach with powerful waves that vary depending on the day. It is not heavily crowded, which adds to its appeal. The beach itself is exceptionally beautiful and well-maintained. However, there is a section of the beach that has been taken over by affluent individuals who have built inns and houses along the shoreline, making it appear "private" and exclusive.

Fingers crossed Abrolhos is allowed to retain the protection that it currently enjoys, as the coral and other wildlife is absolutely stunning. A true privilege to have seen it all.

We opted for the tour with an overnight stay and scuba diving, which exceeded what we expected. The environment was extremely clean, the various meals that Manu cooked were great, the diving and the whales were remarkable and everyone was concerned about our experience, even changing a stop to go to more crystal clear waters. Really recommend.

Sensacional! Ótima experiência, superando as expectativas. Realmente recomendo.

(Translated by Google) Perhaps the best company to navigate towards Abrolhos. New, comfortable boats, good team of sailors, good food on board, women's and men's bathrooms, etc. It's worth paying a little more but getting responsible, technical and comfortable service.
They greatly encourage the observation of HUMBART WHALES, providing an extraordinary spectacle of close proximity to this magnificent animal, without disturbing the whales' lives.
For anyone who likes animals, I recommend this experience. Take your time, as the end of June to the beginning of November, when whales visit, is very windy in the region and there may not be favorable conditions for sailing. Therefore, as soon as you arrive, quickly find out about scheduled departures.
As for Abrolhos, it is still an ecological sanctuary. A good opportunity for diving of all types, as the waters are calm and visibility is excellent.

The road is dirt to get there, so it's a long journey. It is 30 minutes from Itaúnas, when you get there, you park in a parking lot I believe is controlled by the Indians, 10 reais to park. There is shade for the car and they keep watch. There you walk for another 10 to 15 minutes and then reach the beach. In other words, it has to be a trip to go in the morning and only return in the afternoon. In the mood.

There are several options of stalls serving fish, shrimp, meat and portions.
Be careful that some days they charge for tent rental and others don't. It's always good to ask.
Also be careful because sometimes someone is there at the beginning saying they don't charge, but then they do. Ask carefully so as not to be fooled.
Overall, the 3 stalls I stayed at had delicious food and good caipirinhas.
At the end of the morning the tide goes out and there are usually some very nice little pools where you lie down and relax.
The experience is very worth it.
We always stay at the Pargos inn, which has a wonderful breakfast.

Such a wonderful natural place of beauty! To get to the beaches/restaurants, you have to go up a little hill of sand (through an opening off the main street) and then decend down and walk a little towards the direction of the water. On your way to the beaches, you will see a plaque describing the history of the old "vilas of Itaunas" and this sandy desert place is magical to take photos in. There is a choice of a few different cabanas or restaurants to hang out it, the food/drinks will be pricier than usual since this place is an attraction but it's nice to have this change of scenery not far for Vitória city center, so you get the city vibe as well as the nature retreat.

The National Institute of the Atlantic Forest in Santa Teresa offers a serene location with hummingbird feeders as its main attraction. Visitors can observe about 8 different species of hummingbirds up close, without any disturbance while capturing photographs. Additionally, there is a family of Atlantic Titi monkeys residing in the park. Although the female monkey passed away recently, guests can still enjoy their presence. The park also features exhibition rooms and a greenhouse for visitors to explore.
A quite place in the middle of Santa Teresa! The main attraction for us were the hummingbird feeders at the far end of the park. A lot of hummingbirds of about 8 different species. They don't bother if you get close to take pictures. But there is also a family of Atlantic Titi (monkey) around, although the female died a few months ago. You can also visit exhibition rooms, a greenhouse etc. The entrance to the park was free.

Well-maintained scenic area with interesting plant specimens and an appealingly diverse selection of books in the library, which is housed in an old railway carriage.

Parque Pedra da Cebola, located in the upscale neighborhood of Mata da Praia, is a lush and popular park surrounded by the Atlantic Forest and restinga. It features an oriental garden, a lookout with scenic views of Vitoria, and a unique rock formation at its center. The well-maintained park offers baseball and soccer fields, making it a bustling spot on weekends.
Beautiful romantic park to visit, a lot of birds and animals

Beautiful park for a mid city stroll. Watch for birds, play in the park, maybe catch a soccer game. Centrally located and we'll manicured.

Excelent place to have a walk, read or just a picnic. However, it doesn't have any food parlors nearby. Bring your own food

Clean water, friendly people. Place is safe. There's a large and long nice corridor 5 kilometers in front of the beach with amenities in one end. You can sprint on the beach or over the corridor. Airport is close so you can get to the beach even in if you are in a connection of s few hours.

Nice place to have a walk or riding a bike. Safe and lively. It is perfect to enjoy a nice and cold coconut water.
I don't recommend bathing in the water, though

The water is not very clean, neither the beach, but there's a nice pedestrian walk with open free exercise / sport equipment/ to use.

The area's Best-maintained beach with excellent fitness/exercise facilities plus dining/bar options that are not 'overbearing' to nature's ambiance. I visit daily during my Vitoria stay...
