For many, stepping off a plane into Kathmandu is a pupil-dilating experience, a riot of sights, sounds and smells that can quickly lead to sensory overload. Whether you’re barrelling through the traffic-jammed alleyways of the old town in a rickshaw, marvelling at the medieval temples or dodging trekking touts in the backpacker district of Thamel, Kathmandu can be an intoxicating, amazing and exhausting place.

Kathmandu is not just the capital of Nepal but also the head office of the Central Region (Madhyamanchal) amongst the five development regions established by the 14 managerial zones of Nepal situated at the chief part of the country. The Central region consists of three zones, and they are Bagmati, Narayani, and Janakpur. Kathmandu lies in the Bagmati Zone.
The city’s amusing history is approximately 2000 years old, as indirect from an engraving in the gorge. Its religious associations are dominantly Hindu trailed by Buddhism. People of other religious views also reside in Kathmandu, offering it a diverse culture. Nepali is the main language of the city, yet many speak the Nepal Bhasa Newari as it is the focus of the Newar people and tradition.

A charming valley of ancient towns, intricate temples, and royal palaces, the Kathmandu Valley has been inhabited since 300 BC. For centuries, the valley has been a place of pilgrimage for both Buddhists and Hindus. Absorbed into the Nepalese Gorkha kingdom in the 12th century, the Kathmandu Valley has nonetheless managed to preserve its many historical structures into the twenty-first century, through wars and natural disasters. Because of its well-preserved architecture and strong cultural traditions, the entire valley was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Though it's a lot lesser than a "1000 steps", it's still not an easy climb! But it's definitely worth a visit. The views are spectacular! And it's such a nice temple! 🙏🕉️🙏 (Plus, there's a lot of other interesting things to see on the way up to the temple.)

We had to make it through “1000 steps” before reaching the top and we expected it to be tough but don’t worry it’s pretty easy, takes about 30 minutes starting from the gate.

I loved the journey there more than the destination which is “the Kali temple”. We had to make it through “1000 steps” before reaching the top and we expected it to be tough but don’t worry it’s pretty easy, takes about 30 minutes starting from the gate. Would have loved to visit the Buddha statue too but it was locked and when we asked a local they said it opens after 10am only but the sign said 7am so that was sad. The way was so serene and peaceful 🍃

Great place for hiking in dhulikhel . People can travel through car , bikes if they're not much of hiking person . The view especially from the top of hill is great . There is lot of things to do after you reach the top like swinging , horse ride too . Great for the people who loves dry picnic and picnics too . Also this place is picnic spot so there will be lots of noises of music playing too which disturbs the sound of natures.

The temple has a very holy energy.
It is one of the main pilgrimage temples of the country.
Humble in its structure it is very intense in energy. Me and my wife we felt really blessed here.
The views from the top of the mountain are beautiful.

A great spot for the views on Dhulikhel and its surroundings. The temple itself is rather small. The viewtower is closed due to structural damage but the platform around the temple gives enough viewing opportunities to make the climb worthwhile.

Morning and evening time will be best so that you can see sunrise ore sunset.

The Kailashnath Mahadev Statue is a towering copper, zinc and steel sculpture of the Hindu deity Shiva located next to a mountain temple. It is the world's tallest Shiva temple and boasts an impressive view. Although it may be a bit far from Kathmandu, it is worth visiting if there is time. The Palace of Fifty-five Windows was built by King Jitamitra Malla for his 55 wives, with one window for each of them. The palace of 55 Windows dates back to the 18th Century. Apart from this iconic monument of love, the said king also laid down the foundation stone for another iconic structure in the vicinity - the Nyatapola Temple.
The inside of the palace has been closed for visitors for many years now. The Golden Gate also called as Sun Dhoka, is the entrance to several inner courtyards around the palace. The Golden Gate one of the most lavish and important artefacts in Nepal. There is also a holy pool near the palace called Naga Pokari which is believed to be used by goddess Taleju for daily ritual baths. It was built like a water tank and it is encircled by a cobra.

The 55 Window Palace, also known as Pachpanna Jhyale Durbar in Nepali, is a historic palace located in Bhaktapur Durbar Square in Bhaktapur, Nepal. The palace was originally used as a royal residence and a center for administration, and it was also the site of important ceremonies and events.

When you consider that the palace was finished in 1754, under the rule of King Bhupatindra Malla, the 55 windows, constructed of black lacquered sandalwood, were extremely complex. Golden wing bird and Kali, the goddess of destruction, were 2 well-known figures that could be seen over the Golden Gate. The gate served as the principal entrance to the courtyard of the palace. The center of attention in Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Foreign Tourist must pay 1,500 rupees to enter Bhaktapur City as a whole.

This is Bhaktapur’s and Nepal’s tallest and most magnificent temple, the highlight of Darbur Square. The name means “5 Stories,” reflected in the five levels of the roof, which diminish in size as they ascend. This is a temple which should be admired both from a distance down in the square and up close, so that you can appreciate the beautiful carving of both stone and wood.
As you climb the 36 steps to the top, you rise between huge stone guardians, passing wrestlers with clubs, elephants, lions, and griffins, and at the top, the goddesses Baghini and Singhini.
The carved patterns in the wooden ceiling, doors, and windows at the top are simply exquisite, and the views of the square, the surrounding city, and the mountains are a thrill.
This is the temple of Siddhi Lakshmi, the Tantric goddess for King Bupathindra Malla, who dedicated the temple in 1702. Only priests are allowed to see the image of the goddess.
Once back down, be sure to walk around the base of the temple. You will see the huge chariot wheels and beams used in religious festivals.
There is so much to do and see in Kathmandu Valley, but in our week there, this temple and Bhaktapur’s Durbar Square were our favorite and most memorable experiences.

Nyatapola temple in Bhadgaon is structure of a relatively late origin, it was erected in XIV century during Khasa Malla kings period (stature of Arimalla king - founder of this dynasty one can see on the top of column in Patan (Lalitpur) Durbar Square). The temple is well-preserved due to the fact that earthquakes were felt less in this part of the valley, than in neighboring Kantipur and Patan. The five-tiered religious structure has features typical for both North-Indian and Chinese styles, some elements were obviously borrowed from the Lankan tradition (rows of guardian figures on each side of the main staircase leading to the upper tier), but in general Nyatapola could consider as an example of a completely formed, authentic architecture style of the medieval Himalayan kingdoms of Kathmandu valley.

Best place to find peace in the city. The place should actually stop vehicle entry, not just from the gate but from about 1km away from it, so that the tourist could also enjoy not just the temples and the palace, but also the home construct in that era. It would be really great, if the government took interest on it. Instead of the vehicle entry, it can be possible to create a rickshaw stand and make them do the business, for those who want to roam with it.

Historically, culturally and religiously important place .. This place was build during Malla regime. There are lots of art works in woods and stone. This place was affected by 2015 earthquake.. reconstruction is going on . The place is clean, peace but sometimes overcrowded during certain occasions. This is the art gallery of Nepal. Its located in eastern side of Kathmandu valley.

One of the oldest cities in the valley with rich culture, alluring heritage, welcoming people and captivating lifestyle. I really like the lifestyle of the people here as they are still dressed in traditional dress and still have hospitality at its best.
If you are here don't forget to try the local delicacy which is located right next to Dattatre Temple.
There are also other temples with great history and story.

Great historical site to visit. Well preserved and taken care off. Entry ticket is 500 for SAARC Countries and 1800 for other nationalities. Parking is the main issue. Cleanliness requires improvement. Lot of souvenirs shops but their prices are high and bargain is must for right price

One of the must visit site seeing places in Nepal. All foreigners including Indians have to buy ticket to get into that...don't fall into the trap of guides, unless you are really interested in the details of heritage you can see there.
You will have shopping in this place and also restaurants, cafe and small eateries available.
One can easily spare 1 to 3 hours here based on your interest .

The monument square is impressive. The feel about the town surrounding it is just as striking. However, I’m not sure if it’s worth whooping 1800 rupees entry fee for tourists if the museum is operating. There should be a clear indication or some information system in place for people about it.

Gorgeous site with many historical, restored, and reconstructed buildings. One of the highlights of our time in Kathmandu. Spent half a day visiting Bhaktapur and felt like it was the adequate amount of time. It costs NPR 2000 for non-SAARC foreigners, but this amount is contributing to the restoration of the site, much of which was damaged by the 2015 earthquake. You can get a tour guide at the entrance for NPR 1000, and we found our guide highly informative.

Bhaktapur Durbar and the surrounding area are one of the most impressive cities I've seen in whole Nepal. From incredible masonry, woodcarvings, royal gardens to artesan market this place feels like a dream that manifested into reality. If you have time to visit only one royal city in the Kathmandu valley I strongly suggest Bhaktapur as your no. 1 choice.
Taumadhi Square is a vibrant area filled with laid-back eateries and encircled by Hindu places of worship, including the grand Nyatapola temple. The bustling square plays host to an array of casual dining options, creating a lively atmosphere that draws in visitors from all over. At its heart lies the impressive Nyatapola temple, a towering structure that dominates the surrounding landscape.
Pottery Square (Talako Tole) in Bhaktapur is a vibrant hub of traditional pottery making. Local artisans showcase their skills using simple tools and natural materials like mud and water to create an array of pottery items, from cups to piggy banks. The square offers a lively atmosphere with colorful folk art on display. Visitors can observe the craftsmen at work, learn about their techniques, and even purchase some of their unique creations.
It was nice to see how the items have been made and placed neatly in rows to dry out in the sun. A place where you must bargain. They usually mark up the prices for tourist. I eventually bought a small Bhudda statue made in clay for 25% of the price they had quoted.

In the old city of Bhaktapur, on the way to visiting temples, you can make a stop to the Pottery square.
You will see the the hand-made pot drying in the sun.
You can also observe how they manufacture them.
The pottery is mainly used for paying tribute to the Gods.

Time comes to a standstill and loses its way amidst the enchanting streets of Bhaktapur. Here, Pottery Square becomes a living canvas that captures the very essence of this ageless city. The meticulous craftsmanship, steeped in the wisdom of bygone eras, and the enduring art forms that echo through the ages, intertwine seamlessly with the eternal heritage of this remarkable place. The result is an ambiance so captivating that it sweeps you away, leaving you both stirred and blissfully lost in the timeless embrace of Bhaktapur.

Amazing place. Easily accessible by a wide blacktopped road from Nuwakot's district headquarter Bidur. Uphill adventure is great. The palace is under construction due to earthquake in 2015. Detailed:
Nuwakot Durbar (Palace) is a palace built by the first King of the Kingdom of Nepal, Prithivi Narayan Shah in the 18th century. This place has historical significance as it was a major landmark from where he continued his battles against the little states and kingdoms (including present time Kathmandu valley) and went on to conquer all 54 states of Nepal and completed the unification of Nepal.
The palace was made with Nepalese architecture and is located at the top of a hill in Bidur, Nuwakot which is believed to be very strategic construction for its defence against possible treats from other states and Kingdoms.
Nuwakot was a very important state for Prithivi Narayan Shah and his troops as it was between Gorkha (His own inherited Kingdom) and the Kathmandu valley consisting of 3 powerful states; Bhaktapur, Kantipur (modern Kathmandu) and Lalitpur.

The historical palace area of Nuwakot located at 76 km far west-north of Kathmandu has been regarded as an important place since ancient time. Before 1744 AD, nepal was devided into numerous tiny States. In order to build a single strong nation, Kind Prithvi Narayan Shah of Gorkha led the unification campaign from this region. During that time, Nuwakot as a colony of Kantipur (Kathmandu) was regarded as the western main gate to enter the valley. This place was also popular as the main route for trade with Tibet.
Making the Nuwakot hill as the main fort including other eight forts- Belkot, Bhairabkot, Kalikot, Malakot, Dhuwankot, Pyaskot, Simalkot and Salyankot in its sourrounding area, collectively was named as ‘Nawakotta’ (nine forts). So it is believed that ‘Nuwakot’ was derived from Nawakotta. Due to the influence of Kantipur, different places, rest houses, dabalis, temples and stupas of archeological significance were built and various cultural customs were practised in Nuwakot during Malla and Shah periods which still have been observed with pride.
Most popular Saat Tale Darbar (Seven storey palace) was built by Prithvi Narayan Shah by evicting labourers from Lalitpur in 1762 and still it is regarded as a model of architecture. This used to be tropical place and it is notable that the King Rana Bahadur Shah met the British representative Mr. William Kirkpatric at this place in 1793 just after the war between Nepal and China. Just east-southern side of Saat Tale Darbar, here is a west facing palace made of oily bricks, called Rangamahal. It was built as a recreational spot for the three Malla Kings of Kantipur Valley. There are may dabalis and Resthouses which were built with religious and social purposes.
Cultural practices of Malla period continues to be the main attraction for tourists in this area. Some of the cultural festivals observed even today are Bhairabi Jatra or Sindure Jatra, Narayan Jatra, Gai Jatra, Shipai Jatra, Devi Jatra, Lakhe dance, Fulpati and Krishna Janmastami etc.

Nuwakot has become a more accessible destination from Kathmandu with the Tokha road shortening the journey by almost half. The palace is undergoing reconstruction, and new hotels are emerging around Bidur and Battar. Thematic resorts and restored old houses enhance the appeal of Nuwakot. Positioned midway between Kathmandu and Dhunche in Rasuwa, it serves as a gateway to the Gosaikunda trek and the Langtang region. The strategic location and recent developments make Nuwakot an enticing destination.

I was lucky to visit on a public holiday. The place was absolutely packed! Nuwakot is not that well-known in Nepal, but for a time it was actually the capital of the county. Who knew!? You should definitely check it out. There are some temples and beautiful views of the countryside since it’s located up on the side of a small mountain. Unfortunately the Chinese were renovating it, and pulled out without completing due to COVID, so some of the architecture is covered with scaffolding. But don’t let that distract you from the history and the wonder!

At first we thought it was a gated area that need buy ticket or wearing special bangle pass to enter but it wasn't. If the guard ask you to pay the ticket then you need to, if not then you can enter free based on your appearance as local. normally white people they alert your present.
It's more better of there is signage label each place / buildings. Maybe can give more info about the building such as date, function, materials used etc.

Hiranya Varna Mahavihar, also known as the Golden Temple, is a centuries-old Newa Buddhist monastery constructed around 1409. Despite its nickname, the temple's golden luster comes from polished gilded copper rather than pure gold. The main courtyard houses ornate brass statues and other elements plated in gold, offering a rich historical and cultural experience for visitors. It is important to note that leather clothing is not permitted inside the temple.
A small but beautiful ancient buddhist temple is a must see in Katmandu. Sculptures are made out of gold, silver and brass mostly into extreme details.

iranya Varna Mahavihar a Newa Buddhist monastery, was constructed around 1409. The term "golden temple" was given to the structure more as a result of tourism and a shortened translation than due to its true composition in pure gold. The temple has a magnificent golden luster because the majority of it is polished gilded copper. There are certainly enough items in the main courtyard to satisfy most historians for a whole day. Please be aware that leather clothing is not allowed inside.

Patan Museum, situated in the northernmost building complex of Patan Durbar Square, is housed in an 18th-century royal palace. Its purpose is to preserve and exhibit traditional religious art, culture, and iconography related to Hinduism and Buddhism. The museum features a stunning courtyard known as Keshav Narayan Chok, named after a temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
Absolutely great museum. The exposition is thoughtful and thoroughly explained. The historical building of the palace is a museum by itself. But there are also so much art, parts of architecture with detailed explanations and so on. Perfect place to comprehend Nepalese Hindu and Buddhist culture.

Nepali cultural expert Satyamohan Joshi recently said that patan durbar has about 7,000 relics/artifacts. However, only 300 artifacts are currently under display.
Therefore, there is high possibility (and a need too) to utilize durbar's open grounds as a big archaeological garden which can showcase almost 6,500 hidden artifacts.

One of the best place to visit for tourists if they are around Kathmandu valley. This museum reflects the ancient art and culture of Nepal and represents the richness. Nepal is cradle of Buddhism. Museum has some of the most precious idols of Buddha that you cannot see anywhere else in the world. The museum is not only working on the preservation of art and culture but also the an autonomous institution working on the designation of Buddhism. This is one of the finest museum that I ever saw. It did little bit researched and came to know that Austrian Government and UNSECO helped the Nepal to restore the area and organisation to develop as an institution. I guess one has to stay there for more days to have a good sense of locals and about the museum. I have some knowledge that different gestures and poses of Buddha represents different meanings. One can only comprehend if properly informed. For the first time I saw Buddha in so many positions and that feeling was great. I am planing to visit Nepal in near future and this time I will certainly stay for more. I wish you good luck.

Once the Royal palace of the kingdom of Patan, this place was converted to Patan Museum later after the unification of Nepal. And this place is a marvel of beauty. The courtyards it has, the monuments and different gods inside, the stone & wood carvings, gold and silver works; a pure mixture of highest level of craftsmanship with elegance. While the museum documents and displays the artifacts of historic importance including royal artifacts, tantric and cultural texts, statues of different gods, paintings to name a few; this place has turned out to serve as a perfect location for various kinds of photo and video shoots. You have to pay a fees to get inside and separate one to do professional shoot inside. They have necessary amenities and the museum with it's perimeter is kept very neat and clean everyday. There are some places where you cannot go inside or take pictures, you should be weary and follow the instructions of the guards and guides. I have been here multiple time and Patan Museum was and is always very beautiful.
Evenings would be the best time to visit. You can see all the history of Patan over the years along with the unique little bahals and passeways in the once palace.
Then towards the end you can take numerous pictures in the gorgeous chaurs they have. It also a heaven if you love architecture in general.
The staff there were pretty friendly and showed us around when we asked about the place.
You can enjoy the history of Patan, beautiful architecture and beautiful pictures all at under NPR 100.
Lush green hill with a cable car ride to an observation tower for panoramic views of the Himalayas.
Must visit if you are in Kathmandu. The cable car journey is thrilling and the view from the cable cars is just mesmerizing. At the top you can visit the temple, the view point and even do zip lining at a height of 2500m. Try to reach there as early as possible, around 9:30-10 am to avoid the rush. Even the mementos and gift shops are affordable as compared to other tourist locations. The place is very clean and well maintained.

A surreal experience, it’s good place to visit once while in Kathmandu. However, I will not recommend to pay fifty rupees extra to go the view tower while the view remain same. It’s crowded place so better to start early as opening hour is 8:00 am local time. Locals and senior citizens above 65 get 25% discount while people above 80 years of old gets free admission. Cheers.

Definitely a must visit experience on a sunny day in Kathmandu.
Unfortunately when I went it was so foggy that you could not see anything.
$20 US dollar (3600 local money) for foreigner, every country seems to pay a different price depending where they come from.

Place is awesome!
But the cable cars has to be cleaned and the glass on it has to be transparent, nothing looks from inside the car, and we have to make adventure to have a beautiful view.
And they have to consider the groups, like friends, family or even couple to travel at a time.
They will just dump random. Which apparently makes uneasy trip.

The Dakshinkali Temple is a Hindu temple complex devoted to the goddess Kali. Animal sacrifices are performed at this site from time to time. Dhulikhel, renowned for its natural beauty, offers stunning views during both morning and evening hours. Thrangu Tashi Monastery and the Kali temple can be easily accessed in Dhulikhel, which is only 27 km away from Patan Durbar Square and 32 km away from Kathmandu.
This temple is 22 KM away from Kathmandu. It was established by King Pratap Malla. By it name Daskhin mean South and Kali is One of the most powerful Goddess in Hindu Mythology. This is one of the major Hindu temples in Nepal dedicated to the goddess Kali. Dakshin kali is typically shown with her right foot on Shiva's chest—while depictions showing Kali with her left foot on Shiva's chest depict the even more fearsome Vamakali (typically shown with her left foot on Shiva's chest). Animal sacrifices, particularly of cockerels and uncastrated male goats, are the main way that the goddess is worshipped, and this is especially seen during the Dashain festival. The temple has more tourist attraction as it is a popular hiking destination located near Pharping village in Nepal. Dakshinakali, is the most popular form of Kali . She is the benevolent mother, who protects her devotees and children from mishaps and misfortunes. There are various stories explaining the origin of the name Dakshinakali. Dakshina refers to the gift given to a priest before performing a ritual or to one's guru. Such gifts are traditionally given with the right hand. Dakshinakali's two right hands are usually depicted in gestures of blessing and giving of boons. One version of the origin of her name comes from the story of Yama, lord of death, who lives in the south (dakshina). When Yama heard Kali's name, he fled in terror, and so those who worship Kali are said to be able to overcome death itself. This temple is also situated in the south (dakshin) part of Kathmandu valley

Spiritual place worshipping Goddess kali. Had to wait in line for 3 hours due to too many visitors on Saturday. Overall the place was clean and decorated. It is surrounded by greenery everywhere. So I recommend that if you wanna visit this temple either you visit on early break of dawn or on weekdays. People also come to hike or have picnic near this area.

If you are planning to go on Saturday or Tuesday ,be prepared to wake up early and reach there by 4 am or be in queue for some hours,,there is public vehicle available from Old buspark, and enroute Kalimati, Balkhu.Taxis are also available however bargain well, around 14 km so take good deal. You can see the temple and Dakshinkali Mata idol and can worship by yourself. There is separate place for sacrifice of animals. There is no provision for paid fast worship service as in Pashupatinath , however you can consult with pujari there.Overall a peace of mind, religious mindset and worship of Goddess is what you can expect. There is Mata Mandir above Dakshinkali about 10 minutes hike,go there. It is said that you need to worship mata after Dakshinkali. It is famous for khuwa, a kind of sweet milk dessert, you should try. Jay Dakshinkali mata.

My experience to Dakshinkali Temple was very good. We went there by taxi 🚕 in Saturday morning . Bikes, cars ,busses can also take you there. There were many devotees who were in a line waiting for their turn to worship lord Durga mata(Goddess).we were in the line too the line was well organized the line went smoothly and finally after 1 hours we get a chance to worship Gurga mata. After worshiping we were starving so we went near by restaurant there are many restaurants there with delicious food. We enjoyed selroti and Tarkari which is very famous there. When i was worshiping I felt like I am in heaven sitting beside Lord Durga mata for a second. It was a wonderful experience for me I would recommend all the devotees to go there once in there life.

Very peaceful and serene temple . It is located between Kathmandu and Hetauda highway . You don't have to walk much to reach this place as it can be easily accessible by bike and car . But you have to climb some stares up and down to reach the inside of the temple . Try not to visit there during 11:30am to 1 pm as the temple is closed during those hours of time . One of the holiest place for Hindus, dedicated to goddess Kali known as Dakshinkali. It is believed that the goddess Dakshinkali fulfills everyone's wishes. People sacrifice goats (Boka), Hen (Bhale) and Duck (Hass). There is normally a huge line (queue) during public holidays, Saturday and special days. It is located in the lap of nature. It is surrounded by big and small trees and mountains. There are many shops to buy Pooja Thali (Pooja Samagri) from. Also many shops offer delicious foods. Here are many picnic spots/shades to enjoy a picnic. Advance bookings of picnic spots/shades is advised. There are plenty of public toilets. This place is having enough parking space. It is also a perfect place for small hiking. Naturally rich and beautiful place. It's awesome.

Dakshinkali Temple has lots of stairs. Saturday is the busiest day and expect to stay in queue for about an hour before getting to enter the main temple. There are 2 entrances and i recommend the second entrance because it has less queuing area and you get to the temple a bit quicker. You have to turn right instead of taking the first straight road and go downhill to get to this entrance.
People bring animals for sacrifice, so be prepared to see such sights.

Little eateries are around there and you might need to taste aalu chaat there. Goods, vegetables and organic products are sold around the sanctuary. This places gets crowded in the festival seasons.

Down-to-earth Hindu temple featuring a veranda & a black-stone statue of Lord Vishnu.
The Temple is a religious place to visit. People sit here for sometime and get peace.
Jitendra Srivastava — Google review
It is an ancient temple of Lord Vishnu painted in white colour and located near Asuran chowk, just in the side of Medical road. The architecture of the temple is square-shaped with strong thick pillars at the four corners and each corner/side has small sanctums dedicated to the deities Jaganathpuri, Badrinath, Rameshwaram and Dwarika. The main attraction of the temple is black stone statue of Lord Vishnu. It remains open all days of the week from 6 am-12 noon and then from 3 pm to 8pm. The surrounding has good greenery but without maintenance. There is rectangular Parikrama-path around this temple. Also there is open discourse theatre in left. On right side are many Vedis where Yagna are performed. Temple is decorated mainly at Dussehara time/ Janmashtmi. It is under restoration phase and there is no proper maintenance. It can be developed as a good holy sacred place. See pics for more clarity.. There is a hotel named Yaduvanshi sweets in the road 30 m away from where sweets and chaats etc can be taken from the outside.

This temple is the oldest temple of Lord Vishnu at Gorakhpur . Constructed in the 12th century of Pal dynasty period ,it is a heritage monument of India. The building is located in the Asuran Chauk area of Gorakhpur.about 2 Kms from the Railway station.White in color ,sitting at a height with many swirling pinnacles at the top. Main sanctum is of Lord Vishnu with beautiful black color idol. There four other small sanctum devoted to Char-Dham at each four corners.they are of Badrinath, Dwarika ,Ramehswaram and of Jagannath Puri. Overall a serene and religious atmosphere is here. Thursdays is the main day of prayer and relatively crowded.

In Rail museum you can go any days as weekday, weekend, or public holiday.
There are few things which are old is interesting , while other you can see at railway station too . Rail museum is not so interesting place to visit because it is used as park more and less as museum. There is only one hall in which all the olden times things are kept. Museum is not museum is more likely a couple park. Couple seating every corner were no one watch or see them. I DON'T RECOMMEND FAMILY TO VISIT HERE IN RAIL MUSEUM.

🙏🚩The Gorakhnath Temple is a famous Hindu temple dedicated to the sage Gorakhnath. It is located in the city of Gorakhpur in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. The temple holds great significance for followers of the Nath sect, a religious order associated with Guru Gorakhnath.
Guru Gorakhnath was a renowned yogi and mystic who is believed to have lived during the 11th and 12th centuries. He was the founder of the Nath sect and played a significant role in the development of Hatha Yoga. The Gorakhnath Temple serves as a place of worship and pilgrimage for his followers.
The temple complex encompasses several structures, including the main shrine, where an idol of Guru Gorakhnath is enshrined. The idol is adorned with traditional clothing and offerings made by devotees. The temple also features various other smaller temples, ashrams, and residential quarters for the resident monks and followers.
Throughout the year, the temple attracts a large number of devotees, especially during important religious festivals and occasions associated with Guru Gorakhnath. These festivals include Gorakhnath Jayanti (birth anniversary of Guru Gorakhnath) and Navaratri (nine nights dedicated to the goddess Durga).
Apart from its religious and spiritual significance, the Gorakhnath Temple is also renowned for its charitable activities. The temple administration runs several educational institutions, hospitals, and welfare centers, providing services to the local community.
Please note that the information provided is up to my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, and there may have been updates or changes regarding the Gorakhnath Temple since then.

My overall rating for this place is Good. Nice mall.
This is the very first mall of Gorakhpur constructed in a compact space and fine design.
Clean and healthy environment inside the mall. It is small and compact mall.
As every mall, here also you have everything you want, from grocery, clothes to home items, movies, or food. So no need to worry as you can get everything here at one place.
You can spend perfect time with family or friends here. No scene for getting bored or thinking of what to do here. Still if you have no options just try window shopping and take a chill pill.

Numerous slides, pools, showers & other water elements draw families to this amusement park.
Very fun and joyful experience. There's a wave pool, more than 8+ slides and very clean water. The water is really good and it's around 4ft in the main pool! The wave pool which is seperate from the main pool is open from 1:15 to 1:30 and it's amazing if you have some friends to come with! The water get's higher and higher there and it's a good way make some memories. Don't worry about the sunlight since the cool water (not too cold) will make up for that! There are amazing lockers, showers and changing rooms. It has a great environment and I would definitely recommend coming here!

Superb place for all type of people who want to spend vocation here. Here two type of charge one monday to saturday fees is 650 per person and on sunday you have to pay 750 per person this is only entry fees. When you enter you have to pay 50 rs for locker and rs 100 for your cloth vest and shot. And extra if you buy sampoo or shop or towel and they submit 100 rs extra when you return then they give your 100 rs. I suggest you take all thing like shop, sampoo, towel, waterproof case for mobile and waterproof case no available there. And they give you one coupon in which they provide free food service like 1. Coke + burger, 2. Coke + chola chawal, 3. Chowin +coke, 4. Coke +chola batoura and they don't want to give you in free. I stand for 30 for chola baturaa . And all services are good. There were bouncer for your help and guys. Water park little bit expensive. If you dont bring things from home like water, towel, shop, sampoo your swimming cloth like vest and shot of you bring this thinks you may be save your 250 to 300 rs and you have to only pay for your locker. There will be also a shop store there they charge 10 rs and they give you medium size pocket in which you put 5 to 6 people shoes in easily way. Guys if you bring your dslr they charge extra for your dslr. Best place to spend 3 to 4 hours easily . I think you visit one time.

The washroom/showeroom is not really well maintained. The snacks stall is veru limited and very expensive.
You may feel that they charge too much for a full day entry and its true since there anrent many options.

They are making fool to the public in the name of water park. If you are going first time then you may consider it satisfactory. Else if you have seen other water park the it is only disappointment. The charges are hefty comparing to amenities provided. In day it is 900/ per person while in evening 5 to 8 pm it is 600/ on sat and Sunday. Other day it is 450/ in evening 5 pm they stop almost all big rides, only small rides are kept open. Useless to go if you consider it as waterpark. The image below is all the rides available.

I'll never travel to Varanasi without this trip planner again

One of the best place to visit in Gorakhpur, India. I have been there and best to hang out with family and friends. Best time to visit there is from October to December or Feb to April. Otherwise becomes more hot and humidity.

Excellent place for daily walk, security guard at main gate with adequate parking space. Refreshments tea stalls nearby the park entry gate. Park has kids play area, excercise zone and jogging track. Fountains are not operational from quite sometime though and park needs some maintenance work, probably it would be taken care of post pandemic.

It's under construction, we had to make request to the guards to open it as it's only open till 11 on Sunday..ponds were dry, no equipment for children to play, no proper shaded place to sit and chat, reaching there was a mammoth task, it took 1 hr to reach there from betiahata as we got stuck in sahebganj..
I will not recommend this park to anyone who have less time to visit any park. Might be a good option for the local people.

Bhairo Baba Mandir is a temple known for peace and popularity. Nobody knows the date when the temple came into existence. It is linked with mythological period as people say that King Daksh had performed his famous Yajna here. The new temple is very high which was constructed by Brahmchari ji in year 1971.
But the address given in google map is totally wrong. It's not in Pakri kalan, Paharpur Azamgarh. It is located at Mahrajganj Bazaar which at a distance of around 25 km from Azamgarh city.
People have great faith and obeisance in Bhairo ji. There are number of temples besides main Bhairo ji temple. The big pond close to the temple is very sacred.

The Ashoka Pillar, an iconic symbol of India's glorious past, stands tall with immense historical significance. Located in the magnificent city of Delhi, this timeless masterpiece is an absolute must-visit for history enthusiasts and curious travelers alike.
From the moment I laid eyes on the Ashoka Pillar, I was captivated by its sheer grandeur and majestic presence. The pillar, crafted from a single piece of beautifully polished sandstone, rises gracefully towards the sky, standing at an impressive height. Its perfectly balanced proportions and intricate carvings showcase the remarkable craftsmanship of ancient Indian artisans.
One of the most remarkable aspects of the Ashoka Pillar is its age. Dating back to the 3rd century BCE, it has endured the test of time, weathering countless eras, dynasties, and historical events. Its survival is a testament to the enduring strength and resilience of Indian history and culture.
