This place is more beautiful than they seem in photos. Trekking route is mostly covered by trees. You can stop and enjoy good views in many spots.
I am so sad that I could not see most of the park because I could not park my car. Hours wasted... I see from the reviews that this is the case almost for all weekends. So, if you visit here at the weekend you should arrive before 8am in the morning. Or park your car far, take a bus/uber.

Gorgeous national park and one of the most easily accessed walk ways into the park itself. Recommend coming here early in the morning for the sunrise and to avoid the crowds. Beware the other holiday makers that will crowd the car park up. The beaches are gorgeous, if a little flat, so they're perfect for families or individuals who aren't interested in pushing themselves too hard. No flag or lifesavers so it's best to play it safe

Noosa National Park on Queensland's Sunshine Coast is a coastal paradise that captivates visitors with its natural beauty. My friend and I use the coastal route and we are satisfied with our decision. This is the recommended route because most of the walkways are even and cost least energy to travel (except the Sunshine beach, Alexandria Bay and some paths have stairs) but still can enjoy picturesque beaches, scenic walking trails, and breathtaking ocean views. The coastal track offers panoramic vistas and chances to spot dolphins and whales (but really rare, I don't have a chance to see them but hear their sound from a distance near Dolphin Point). The park's interior trails showcase diverse flora, fauna, and iconic landmarks like Hell's Gates. Well-maintained facilities and knowledgeable staff enhance the experience. People can still choose to experience Tanglewood walk and Hill walk but remember to follow the instructions along the way, do not walk alone and bring enough water with you. Be mindful of crowds by visiting on weekdays or arriving early as well. Noosa National Park is an enchanting destination for nature enthusiasts and have a great trip!

Magnificent views with 5 excellent walks of varying lengths. Parking can be tricky as the car park fills fast and early (by 9am). There is also street parking for about 30 cars but it's 2 hours so you need to be mindful of that. Having said that most walks/trails can be easily completed under 2 hours.
The coastal walk to Hell's gate is brilliant as is Alexandria beach. There is also a very small trail right at the entrance of just over 1 klms but it's brilliant also. We did 4 out of the five walks in 2 days followed by an hour or two cooling off at Noosa Beach. The water was 26 Celsius...
There is also adequate toilet facilities at the entrance and all walks are well signed. Enjoy.

An incredibly beautiful National park in the heart of Noosa. Absolutely stunning coastal views from all vantage points, and a walk for all fitness levels. I took the no.5 route to make the most of the coastal views, which was around 10.5km or good quality walking tracks.
Clancy Smith — Google review
Stunning national Park, great access to amenities where required along the various tracks. The beaches were stunning and there were lots of surfers out there doing their thing.
The full coastal walk was amazing and I'd highly recommend it 👍
Will Anstee — Google review
Great national park, well preserved and a nice view. Some cliffs are perfect to look for whales, turtles, dolphins, rays, among other marine animals. We also found echidnas walking around and very close to nice beaches to go for a swim. Longest trail is around 10km both ways

A beautiful national park with good walking trails seeing fabulous views. Wear polaroid glasses for better viewing. We were able to see turtles swimming and a pod of dolphins. Definately recommend walking the trail and wear swimmers so you can swim at one of the beaches if you like. There is a dog beach on the southern end of the park at Sunshine Beach. All the rain bought small waterfalls 😄

Beautiful beach, great surfer place and even better a bush walking just close. Noosa Heads National Park has everything you need for’ family fun.

It feels wild to give this wonderful national park a star rating - as it is a six star just for the nature itself! An easy walk but can get hot. Pack water, go early to get parking.
WelL maintained and busy. Good for a walk, decent for a run. Super early mornings are my favourite
Kit Allen — Google review
Small but beautiful National Park only minutes walk from the town centre of Noosa. Constructed board walk makes access easy for all ages to enjoy the serenity and stunning scenery. Don't forget to keep looking high into the treetops for the ever elusive koalas.
Vaughan Dunn — Google review
The Noosa National Park is absolutely gorgeous. The coastal walk offers such incredible views of the ocean and hidden coves along the shoreline. I definitely recommend doing the walk if you visit Noosa. It takes around 2 hours each way and does get at little rocky and unstable towards the Sunshine Beach end. But it is totally worth it.
Sophie A — Google review
Such a beautiful national park, the water is so clear and it's in turquoise colour. There're a lot of different walks to choose from but personally I think the coastal walk is the best. You can spot some whales during the migration season. There's also a fairy pool here, which is pretty cool, bring a swimwear if you'd like to do a dip! Definitely child friendly but dogs are not allowed here. Public restrooms are available. There's an information centre at the start of the walk. Parking can be hard to find if you come late.
Elsa X (Elsaxx) — Google review
The Noosa National Park walk/hike turned out to be a fantastic experience. With several trail options to choose from, I had the luxury of exploring the park in very pleasant weather. The symphony of bird songs accompanied me along the way, creating a soothing atmosphere.
To my delight, luck was on my side as I spotted a kangaroo during my walk. While I wasn't able to capture a photo, the memory remains vivid. If you're planning a visit to Noosa, the Noosa National Park walk/hike is a must-include item in your itinerary. It's an experience that showcases the park's natural beauty and wildlife, making it a perfect addition to your bucket list.

Had a lovely stroll through this national park. The car park gets quite busy. This was our third day attempting to visit the national park (due to parking difficulties). Lots of camper vans when we arrived at 6.30am however we were able to get a parking spot this time which was great. National park was very busy even this early in the morning. Lots of people running and walking, often had to move out of the way. Overall a nice morning out

Bring sufficient water if on a hot day! I walked from Sunshine beach to Noosa heads and only saw 1 water station over 10+km! Breathtaking views
Bianca Di Meglio Lemieux — Google review
What a beautiful national park. Multiple walking trails with amazing views. If you are looking for an active activity to do with the family, I would highly recommend a visit here. Lots of places to stop along the walk including secluded beaches, fairy rock pools and viewing docks. Making it to the peak at Hell's gate is well worth the trek. Be warned, it gets busy so if you can walk here instead of drive that is definitely the better option as finding a car park after 9am will be hard.

The walking trails are great but I wish we could of downloaded them prior to going so that we knew what we were really in for (appreciate this might exist already but didn’t fond it easily).
Anyway, this is certainly worth doing if you can appreciate a good view and some natural beauty. Pack enough water and maybe a snack!

Excellent walking tracks, spectacular views and fantastic swimming and surf beaches.
Only downside is that it can get quite busy on the trails and parking is difficult in peak times.

Wonderful place. I loved this Noosa National Park a lot. Walking around the forest and ocean road. There are some routes, I choose the two route - Tanglewood and it took around three hours.
The best beach ever. The water is crystal clear, fish are swimming around your feet.
Easy to spend a day here.

One of the few quality and accessible north facing beaches in Australia, accessible from the towns mains street and large enough to find your own piece of paradise. A must visit on the Sunshine Coast.

the first time i went there in 2016 , this place is very peaceful and quiet , suitable for families go there to relax on weekend. Love Sunshine Coast , love Australia ❤️❤️❤️

Beuatiful beach. If you drive right to the end of Hastings Street and park in the second parking section, you will be able to find trees to use as shade, which are only meters from the surf
Mark Williams — Google review
Awesome beach! Very active surf club, safe place to swim between flags 365 days of the year! There is a board walk you can leisurely stroll to nearby parks. Main street nearby, so easy to grab a bite to eat. To the right is another walk to the national park. To the left is walk to dog park and the lighthouse. All these paths are paved! Beach waves are small, so makes for a relaxing swim :) highly recommend

Beautiful North facing ocean beach just in the centre of the town.
The famous shopping street Hastings Street in Noosa is a popular destination for dining, nightlife, and resorts. It's located on the beachfront and lined with boutique shops, restaurants, and bars. Many establishments are wheelchair accessible, making it an ideal spot for all types of visitors.
Great shopping street one block off the beach. There are two free parking lots and one paid parking lot two blocks off the beach.

Some nice shops and places for a drink or bite to eat. Might catch some cool cars and scooters in the area too.

Main street of Noosa Heads with fabulous shopping 🛍 and eateries including cafes and the Sofitel Hotel.
Bay Village is also off Hastings St with a cosmopolitan flair.
Hastings is one street back from the famous Noosa beach and is home to various holiday apartments including Seahaven and Netanya.
The ideal spit to stay while visiting Noosa.

Nice street, lots of uninteresting shops right by the beach. Would not recommend.

Hastings Street is at the heart of Noosa retail, restaurants, beach and Nat Park. There are a plehora of eateries and upmarket retail and it's easy to combine time on the beach with a stroll down Hastings Street before choosing a place for lunch or dinner.
It's often very busy, and while there's parking on the street, there are two good sized free public car parks adjacent Noosa Drive just near the corner of Hastings Street and Noosa Drive. Midday is busy and parking can be tricky but earlier morning or evening its very accessible.

One of my favourite places to visit for a holiday

Many nice and beautiful shops adorning the streets left and right. Plenty of parking areas. There's a number of eateries like restaurant and food court along the street. Plenty of seats too. Nice ambience and clean area. The shops sell stuff a bit on the high side probably because a lot of landed properties surrounding the area. Good vibes though.
Noorzidah M N — Google review
One of my favourite places in Australia. Something special about this street.
It can be pricey, and it's also full of yuppies, but it's always kind of been like that.
Lots of nice boutique shops, as well as access to one of the nicest busy beaches in Australia. There are very nice boardwalks nearby too!

One way in, one way out. The traffic and parking here is disgusting. Very Gold Coast feeling. I cannot believe it has allowed to get so bad. Ruins the initial want and desire to visit.
The Eumundi Market, Australia's largest and finest art and craft market, has been running twice a week since 1979. Located in the charming historic town of Eumundi, it showcases locally made arts and crafts alongside a delectable variety of street food. With over 500 stalls nestled under towering heritage listed fig trees, this open-air gallery attracts more than 1.6 million visitors each year.
I love this market!!! You can find lots of pretty accessories here! Rings, necklaces, bracelets which there are all beautiful and amazing! You won’t got disappointed here. Open every Wednesday and Saturday.
ANNIE LIN — Google review
Quite a fan of the markets there was a lot to see and a bit of everything for everyone. Expected more fresh produce which there wasn't much of unless I completely missed it.
I did have some of the softest cinnamon donuts I've ever had. Dont eat breakfast before hand I wished I hadn't as there was a good assortment to choose from.
Decent amount of parking although you had to pay I think it was $7 once all the on-street free parking was full.

Surely one of the biggest market, if you are unable to purchase anything here, even then you will be going back with a lots of good experience.
The atmosphere here is very vibrant due to live music and people asking, inquiring about the things displayed all around.
Home decor is one area where one wish to have everything for own home.
There is a huge range of products on display for everyone like Home Decor, Shell art, clothing, food, leather and wall art etc just to name a few.
Parking is quite near to the entrance and I feel they charge heavily.
Well, this is a must visit place to get the feel of local market and products. Time spent very well, although feeling tired but enjoyed the experience.

This is the BIGGEST market I’ve ever seen, if you can get through it all in a few hours - well done! 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼
I didn’t manage to see it all as it became a little repetitive after a while but well worth the visit.
Be prepared for the pile up of traffic on your way in, you will find a $9 car park very close to the entry / side of the market.
The live music gives it a real country / market vibe.
The atmosphere is very calm & relaxing.
If you like a slow stroll through the isles browsing through all the works of the unique artisans & their creations, you’ll love this market.
There is something for everyone.
Lots of food & drink stalls to stop at & savour the moment.
Big range of things to look at / purchase include
•jewellery
•wall art
•leather goods
•clothing
•candles
•hats
•soap
•shell art
Just to name a few 💵
I highly recommend you visit this market if not to purchase anything, just for the experience! 🎉

Absolutely amazing it was the biggest markets I have ever been to in Australia and I have been to 100' all over this country. Highly recommended with 100's of different stores to shop around if you can't find what your after there than you won't find it anywhere lol. And such a vast variety of food stores with food from all over the world for your hunger to be tamed.

Plenty free parking. Great food and plenty stalls to browse through. Fantastic range and awesome people a total must. We enjoyed the freshly squeezed orange juice, doesn't get fresher than this then the food, gosh come hungry as the choices are endless yet affordable. Bathrooms onsite also very clean. Pet owners bring your hairy friends, Moms and baby yip wide enough walking or strollers isles. I'm told the Eumundi markets is on Wednesday and Saturdays 830am to 2pm.

These are the biggest markets I've ever seen. We spent about 3 hours there but I'm not confident that we saw over 60%.
I recommend starting at the high side on the main road and then criss-crossing as you move downhill.
Lots of stalls of crafts, food, and everything you can imagine.
Parking can be an issue, but you just need to be patient as there are a lot of people coming and going.
Wheelchair friendly. Toilets available.

Really love the vibes!!! My first time in this market and love it! They sell various products and food 😍 the parking area is spacious and easy access. We parked in the grass area and paid for $9. A good choice to spend with your loved ones on the weekend 😍
Joanika Juanda — Google review
Markets definitely worth visiting. Unfortunately two experiences left an unpleasant taste in mouth. The persons looking after the $7.00 parking need to work on their people skills plus more than some vendors were charging retail and above for products on sale.
This is not to say some great products and food were uncovered. Over all the markets are worth a trip.
Scott Lewis — Google review
It is a great market. The stalls sell a good variety of products. Food for lunch is delicious. Good music playing. The great thing is you can take your dog. Eumundi is still beautiful.

A very big market and there are soooo many things to look at, great vibes! Good coffee, snacks and lots of little things to look at. There's a public toilet here. Come early though as it's very hard to find a carpark later in the morning.

Absolutely sensational day out at this wonderful Market in picturesque surroundings. Plenty of parking, A voluminous & fantastic variety amount of stalls on offer in a great atmosphere. Plenty of food & drink stalls as well. Light entertainment throughout the market. & then there are more shops & a great pub in the town itself. Highly recommend a visit but be prepared for large crowds & a full day of walking 🙂👍🍻

We like coming here for breakfast. Great selection of market food. Parking is hard to find but great place to visit. Lots of beautiful handmade products, food market and artsy stuff. There is an awesome playground for kids to hang out. Toilet is located next to the playground. Make sure bring your own toilet paper because few times I've been there and toilet paper run out in the female toilets.

We love to visit Eumundi markets on the weekend. There is an amazing dim sim stall called “pop’s” that we frequent every time we go. We also love the vegan cupcakes that are available bi-weekly, although the name of the stall evades me. The overall vibe of the market is super chill, and while some things stay the same, there always seems to be new things popping up to keep it interesting.
Georgia House — Google review
The best market I've been to. Such a wide range of quality products. The best range of food that I've seen anywhere, was so hard to choose what to eat. Finally found my favourite drink, raw natural sugar cane juice I was in my element. The young man singing was super talented and made a welcoming relief to sit in the shade and listen to him perform. Looking forward to returning to this fabulous market.

Easter holidays, so a lovely autumn coolish day at markets , the parking was an issue but thankfully after waiting 15 minutes for turn off , car parking angel 😇 arrived . Markets had been open for a few hours we arrived at 10 and needed breakfast before browsing . We took our dog 🐕 who had a great time and plenty of dog bowls for furry friends. Breakfast of açai bowls , orange juice and crepes, we easily spent hours . Found most beautiful hand made bowl 🥣 and water Lilly’s . Not many photos of stalls which are 100’s as too immersed walking and looking . Suggestion to allow 3 hours min to browse , eat and chat to the many various people you will meet , locals , travellers, stall holders . After markets found local honey 🍯 at Eumundi . Thinking if a hot summer’s day definitely be early , markets close at 2 .

It has been many years since I visited these wonderful markets, and they keep getting better. An awesome range of vendors, catering to all different tastes and genres.
A must visit for locals and visitor's.
Parking - street is 2 hours on a Saturday.
Or you can pay to stay longer. $9 was the going rate, a bit pricey, so unless you plan to stay a long time, go for the free parking. Get there early, markets start around 7.30.

Great art & craft market. Quite big and can get busy at peak times, however there are plenty of places to sit under the shade of the large trees. Lots of snack & drink options. Allow a few hours to wander around. There is a large car park ($9) just before you arrive to the markets. Market is Open on Wednesday & Saturdays.

Huge market, had to find parking but wasn’t too impressed with the variety of stalls available, didn’t have nice stuff on the day we went. Food was good though.

While this is a huge market and great experience, there are many similar stalls. It didn't worry us, but i was expecting more art.
There is a heck of a lot of jewellery and clothes.
The art that was there had good points of difference.
Lots of produce and food. Hat stalls seemed to feature, a few leather makers, organic potions and more.
There is a stone masion making some interesting features for gardens.

Great food & coffee ☕️ had a nice time it was busy but it was Easter long weekend, purchased handmade soap bunny bum & honey chilli 🌶️ sauce & locally made jams, but was not impressed with some of the imported clothing & homewares otherwise great market as we were there to purchase from locals only

If you plan to visit Noosa, I recommend going on market open days. It's quite large with a variety of goods and food, offering plenty to see! I'm planning to go again whenever I get the chance.
Theme park with displays about ginger, train & boat rides, a tropical garden walk & concessions.
What a fun morning out we had at the Ginger Factory. Entry is free to get you into the shops and cafe inside. You can buy tickets for various rides and tours.
We went for the ginger factory and tasting tour. Cost $56 for 2 adults and 2 children - I feel that it was well worth it! They talk you through their history, how they grow and process their ginger, and at the end, a tasting of a few different food made with various ginger products. Eye opening how versatile ginger can be!!
James, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable & has such a fun upbeat personality, which made our morning so much more fun.
Definitely try their various ginger ice creams sold at the food court - we tried the ginger beer sorbet (a hit with the kids), ginger macadamia & ginger cappuccino (my fav).
Loads of space and activities for families with younger children.
There is also a nursery for you to buy ginger plants - they have gorgeous flowers!! Very reasonably priced.

Amazing place for a day out with kids. Lots of activities depicting what and how they perform their operations. Lots of local honey with different flavours available. Ginger beer tasting. There is a beautiful rainbow umbrella walkways besides the restaurant for photography. The restaurant has a small but nice menu and the staff are very accommodating in all respects. To conclude there is a something for everyone no matter the age.

Super cute, lovely place for a weekend visit. The umbrella installation is really nice. There is a large cafe on site and the gift store has plenty of ginger goodies. Access to the park is free but you have to pay for some of the other experiences like taste testing and tours. Would recommend visiting at least once if you have the time.

Have been here many times but this time my friends and I went on a package deal and toured the Ginger Factory proper, the Beehive tour, and then, after lunch we went on the train and into the boat.
The only thing I will say is that the Beehive lady doesn't need a microphone. But her love of bees shone through and if anyone can get us to but a hive it's this lady.
I had great trepidation about the boat thinking it was just for kids. But I had no idea that we'd be on a floating boat and going around the world made up of 250+ puppets made by locals. Sometimes these things look like they need some TLC but everything was in working order, freshly painted, and just so much fun.
We had lunch with a water dragon couple, went through the shops at the back and left at 4pm.
The only thing that spoilt it was the fact that during mandatory mask using there were 5 couples with 10-12 children between them who didn't wear masks and we were in the vulnerable age group. Wearing our masks is not going to keep us safe from your breath going into our eyes, the most absorbent part of the body.
The guide said he couldn't control it but we were told no mask no entry so why couldn't the Ginger Factory tell them to don or leave?
That was a wonderful 5hrs taken up along with 4hrs return trip drive. Plus goodies that we normally don't purchase.
Super day just before the weather bomb.
How lucky were we!!!

We had a family reunion late last year and decided to stop by to entertain the kids on our way back from Noosa, what a wonderful idea that turned out to be!!! It was our first time visiting the Ginger Factory - the kids had a ball and so did we. There's lots to do and lots to see. Loved the train ride and watching the kids take it all in. Overboard was the highlight of our visit as we got to do the boat rides and fit our families in 2 boats one after the other. Definitely coming back! We had a quiet ride home as the kids were zonked and slept all the way home 😴. Worth the visit and fairly priced for what is offered at the The Ginger Factory 🤩☺️

Wow! We took our elderly father for his weekly out-n-about and the Factory was amazing. I learned a lot from the factory tour, watched the young kids enjoying themselves, and the adults relaxed and unstressed. The gardens are well maintained and amazing. The faculties clean and hygienic. The food court was fabulous and for the first time in a long while, I have to remark how well kept it was. The tables were quickly reset and cleaned with staff removing empty plates and utensils unnoticed. The food selection was boutique, a bit on the pricier side, but we happily paid for the quality and efficiency. We absolutely loved the factory tour, our guide was informative and engaging, and the food tasting at the end was professional and well thought-out. The ginger tidbits were delicious and besides the cheaper factory sample pack we ended up buying lots more from the gift shop to try our hand at some ginger recipes later at home. We planned to stay for an hour, but Dad wanted to see everything! He adored the August art fair. Four hours later we left totally satisfied with our experience. Very worth the entry price. One suggestion for management is to have a look at the railway crossings which are difficult for small-wheeled mobility chairs to negotiate. A minor point that detracted little but a point to consider if you need wheelchair mobility. Highly recommend we will be back!

Th Ginger Factory is a lovely place to visit with the whole family. It has a soft play area with ball pit, for the little ones, babies to 5 years, and for the bigger kids there's a good playground with tunnels and slides and also a jumping castle. All pram and wheelchair friendly paths and free entry! There are beautiful art displays, great photo opportunities, exquisite gardens, and nature friendly with heaps of bearded dragons and birds. There is a tasting room, walks, little shops, a great eatery, a gelato bar, and of course, the very popular train that goes around the park.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time visiting the Ginger factory. What a hidden gem. The train ride was so much fun, the gruffalo walk was an entertaining experience and the kids loved the playground. The staff were lovely and polite considering some of the rude patrons I saw they had to deal with. The gardens are spectacular.

Just a little bit about farm tour. To be honest, it’s nothing really. I don’t recommend you buy a ticket to see it. It’ s just a very small room with some old photos (you can’t social distancing) and you watch vdo about its history. Then look out for machinery from windows. Lastly, taste a little bit of some products.
I suggest the Ginger factory should open a gallery and dedicate some areas for educating people about your history and how to grow ginger and ginger flowers. People can walk around and spend sometimes learning about your factory. 😊

Even if you don’t have young kids it’s still a lovely place to stop . The cafe is great and well priced . The kids nuggets and chips were $12 and the pork belly salad was $20. Both great meals we enjoyed . The gardens are lovely. Turtles in the small lake , bush turkeys and lizards in the gardens . Plus the shops are great , especially if you love ginger .

Loved it. Very peaceful.
The Ginger Factory in Queensland is an absolute delight! From the moment we stepped foot on the premises, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that made our visit truly exceptional.
What sets the Ginger Factory apart is not just its fascinating ginger-themed attractions and activities but also the incredible food experience it offers. The on-site restaurant is a hidden culinary gem, serving up an array of delectable dishes and some are infused with ginger flavours that awaken the taste buds.
The commitment to using locally-sourced and fresh ingredients was evident in every dish, and it truly elevated our dining experience. The attentive staff made us feel like honoured guests.
The knowledge of ginger and its culinary possibilities added an educational element to our meal.
In addition to the food, the Ginger Factory's café offers an array of ginger-inspired treats, from ginger ice cream to ginger beer tastings that are simply irresistible. It's a paradise for ginger lovers and food enthusiasts alike.
Our heartfelt thanks to the dedicated and friendly staff who made our visit unforgettable. The Ginger Factory's emphasis on hospitality and the culinary journey it offers make it a five-star destination that we can't wait to visit again. Whether you're a ginger enthusiast or simply looking for a memorable dining experience in a beautiful setting, the Ginger Factory is a must-visit in Queensland!

What a fantastic experience. This was my second time visiting this place, and I love it.
My girls love the Gruffalo trail and the bees! The beekeeper was very good at explaining and showing everything about bees.
We did the boat like four times! We visited the factory and the train, of course! I am not a big fan of ginger, but I love to eat and test the different foods, snacks and drinks!
The food at the bar was excellent! There are many GLUTEN-FREE options to choose from, and they are delicious!
The environment is fabulous; everything is fantastic.
It is a great place to take family or friends visiting Brisbane.

Brilliant venue with lots to do with the kids. Train and boat rides, tasting and factory tours, ginger flavoured ice cream, and several puzzle walks or games to play. A great place to spend half a day and take the family.

Fun couple of hours for the kids. We were surprised how nice the food was for a themed park.
Staff were all very helpful & happy. Only thing I would improve on, is the range of ginger & tropical plants in the Pottery Barn.

Boat ride around the world was awesome. Train ride was very informative. The umbrella project was beautiful. Great playground for kids. Shop and eating places were great too. Really affordable for families and great day out even for big kids 😄

My 10-year-old daughter enjoyed it as much as we did. It was a little expensive for 2 x adults & 1 x child = $147.00 which allows you to go to the Factory & Processing Tour, Live Bee Show, Overboard Boat Ride, and a ride on the Ginger Train. We also got to do a free ginger and honey tasting. The people giving the live tour presentation were very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot about ginger and the number of different varieties of the plant and the processing of the product as well as how bees pollinate and make honey and what bees do in hives. We didn't have to wait too long between rides or shows as we got there late in the afternoon, but I would expect long wait times if you turned up early in the day. Like most places, the food and drinks available to purchase are expensive and I wouldn’t want to do it in the middle of a hot day, so we did it in the middle of a hot afternoon instead 🥵

Amazing gem surf both free and paid activities to be undertaken. Yummy food and engaging for all ages. The tours are 40 minutes each are informative, interactive, and have tastings at the end and then there's the wildlife that is also beautiful

So much to see and do, couldn't fit it all in one afternoon! Definitely recommend coming in the morning so you can spend the whole day here. Really good for kids, lots of activities, play areas, boat ride, shops - there is a train ride but it wasn't operating on the day we were there, will have to come back again soon!

Had a fantastic afternoon at The Ginger Factory with the kids. Well-designed attractions and a delightful surprise with Santa sporting a real beard. My 6yo son loved the Gruffalo trail. It was a great family experience!
We loved visiting here! Huge range of macadamia nuts with Free taste testing. Loads of local products from the Sunshine Coast!

This place is a must-visit when you are in the area. We had a tasting of some of the macadamia nut varieties, and they were all excellent. They make great gifts for those interstate, macadamias are such a treat and these are great value.

Just opposite to the Ginger Factory. It’s worth visiting the shop and the manufacturing place and finished the tour by having coffee there or buying macadamia nuts and chocolates.

We hada visit here to sample some nuts / chocolate etc.
Some were very tasty & they have a huge variety to choose from in varied size packets to suit your budget.
Very clean & tidy shop, they also have coffee haha.
These are the ones we selected to take home with us.
Can highly recommend to any Nutlovers.

Was going to purchase, but wanted to taste different ones first.
You have to ask !
Assistant was too busy chatting to notice that we had been stood waiting for ten minutes !
They would sell more, if they had samples out for customers.
Thank you for your reply.
Maybe you could ensure that there is an assistant available at all times, to help customers….as I would have made a large purchase.
However, she was far too busy chatting for ten whole minutes !!!
We won’t be back.

Skip the ginger factory across the road and come here instead. You can see into the warehouses of how they make and process these wonderful macadamias. You can even get a free sample if you smile and wave to the chocolate maker. The macadamias were amazing, we got the dark chocolate ones which were sublime. Everything is also well priced!!

Nutworks have the best Dark Chocolate coated Coffee Beans on the market.
Disappointed a little that local Coles doesn’t sell them any more.
Now there can be a few weeks without until I get to visit and purchase my stash which for a few weeks of my breakfast treat.

A paradise for all "chocolate lovers" ♥️ ❤️ 😋 There is a selection of locally made chocolate, condiments, alcohol beverages, oils, butter, relishes jams, ice cream, and all sorts of nuts . There is also taste testing and a viewing room available. It is an excellent place to visit and support Australian made products. 💯💯💯.

We visit often. We all know macadamias are awesome, the variety of flavours available is mind blowing. I'm slightly addicted to the Maple Pancake ones. Just so good. All the staff are wonderful, Kate in particular shines, what an asset she is! Ohh and try the scones! Yum!
Chel Rafter — Google review
Nutworks is opposite The Ginger Factory. The staff there were pleasant and gave us some tasting of different flavours of macadamia nuts. There's different packaging and weight for different flavours of nuts probably depending on their popularity. Further in, there's a chocolate production too with many different flavours as well. Money well spent.

Visited today and the products are always amazing. Over the years it has always been a fantastic place to visit.
On this visit, our first in quite a while as we live interstate now. The team there are amazing. We came over the road from the Ginger factory and realised we were only about 20 Minutes from their closing. To the teams credit and Jaidene in particular who made us feel really welcome and non stressed. We were so happy to get brilliant service and helped us to have a great visit and buy lots of wonderful treats to take back home with us. (Most will / might make it home).
The Garden Cafe is also a great feature and really blew us away with how it is looking. It’s such a nice atmosphere enjoying a great coffee and nibbles amongst the plants.
A credit to the lady who has arranged them and put them into an array of displays. We would happily buy many of them if we had the chance.
We will be back again and really loved the feel and experience. Made our day, thank so much.
Point Cartwright Lighthouse, a modern lighthouse built in the 1970s, offers breathtaking views of the ocean and is easily accessible by both car and walking trails. Visitors can take an easy walk from the carpark to reach the lighthouse. The northern side features several memorial plaques dedicated to young people who passed away. Despite limited parking spaces in the area, visitors can still enjoy a pleasant mid-morning walk with their dogs while sipping on coffee.
Stunning view all the way from the parking lot to the lighthouse. Great sea views all along. The walkway is in decent condition and only a short stroll through the top of the hill.
There’s also a stairway path if you choose to go down to the beach. There weren’t many people there compared to Alexandra beach. You can enjoy a very easy and relaxing day out.

Fantastic walk to the lighthouse with spectacular views all the way.
Plenty of areas to sit and have a picnic and watch the sunset.
Toilets are further down near the carpark. Whole walk is accessible by wheelchair.
Not many parking spots and it does get very busy.
We parked further down and walked.

Easy walk to do mid morning with some nice views! Plenty of space to bring the dogs too!
Only downside is the parking in the area, can be a bit tight and not many spaces (wish the person who hit our car knew that..)
But a nice walk and maybe take a coffee along too!

One of my favourite places to go to just for the many versatile adventures you can go on! There’s rocks/rock pools, great beach (surfing), a park with loads of grass, and somewhere to watch the sunset from. Perfect spot and do reccomend
Dilyn Hatch — Google review
What a beautiful spot to watch the sun setting over the Sunshine Coast.
A short easy walk through the bush from the carpark brings you to a spot where you can watch the sunset, walk around the lighthouse, discover a fabulous mural on a huge water tank & look back down the coast.
Lucinda Morgan — Google review
Nice walking area with easy parking around La Balsa Park instead of the carpark closer towards the lighthouse which doesn't have many spots and seems full with locals going for a swim. The walk up to the end of the rock wall is quiet and evenly paved but there's no path up the hill once you get to the beach/end. Instead head across the grassy area further back and up the hill where you will get great views looking back at Buddina Beach to the south as well as being able to admire the artwork on the water tower which was recently refurbished.
Eugene Foo — Google review
Beautiful spot with 360 degree views around a very well done and artistic reservoir mural. Good spot to sit for a sunset or sunrise and only a short walk from the car park.
Ben Cannon — Google review
A nice interesting lighthouse to visit, it's an easy and short walk along a path to the lighthouse from the carpark.
We noticed a lot of memorial plaques attached along the fences to the northern side and if you read a few it's surprising to see how many youngish people are represented there. I'm sure the amazing views particularly to the north are what makes people chose this location - I'd be happy to have my own one there one day :)

Really nice and artsy spot!
The water tank paintings are mesmerizing, the view even better! You have access by car but you can easily walk there or bring your bike. There’s a few walkways around and a little comunal memorial. It’s a really quiet spot with great vibes for a picnic, exercise or even a cute date!

Beautiful location. There is some parking but limited as it's very popular. Around the lighthouse beach area it's off leash for your furry family members. Lots of rocks to explore. No cafes or shops at the location but there are plenty of shops about 3 mins away. NO lifeguards or flag areas for swimming. There are public toilets at the carpark area.
Lance Lightning — Google review
Stunning views, and the artwork on the water reservoir is incredible! But you can't go right up to the lighthouse, and there isn't a lot of parking.
Still worth a trip if you're out that way.
Mel — Google review
This place is a must-visit! Even if the Lighthouse doesn't captivate you, the breathtaking view certainly will.
Bring your own food, find a spot, and soak in the beauty of the sea. Just be aware, parking can be a bit challenging during peak seasons, and note that entry to the Lighthouse is restricted.
Sebastian Peter — Google review
Great vantage point of the ocean. Which is probably why a lighthouse is built here. There are a small number of car parking spots close to the lighthouse, but if you don't manage to get one of those you'll have to walk up the hill. Needs a bit of an uphill walk but is worth it.
Interesting lighthouse shape, I'm used to them having round edges, but this is a square shape.
There is also a water tower which is nicely decorated with paintings of ocean animals.

Mooloolaba Beach is a trendy and vibrant seaside location featuring upscale resorts, chic shops, and open-air restaurants with cocktail bars. The beachfront esplanade presents an array of foodie temptations while the patrolled beach offers breathtaking blue waters and pristine white sand. This destination has been voted one of the best on the Sunny Coast, attracting travelers with its holiday ambiance and frequent sightings of dolphins and whales.
One of my favourite holiday destinations.

A big yes for an Family Beach Holiday time. Very busy during public holidays for sure but live the energy here.
About 2 hours up the coast from Brisbane.
Parking is not easy (always) but it helps save much time and effort if you just drive straight to the paid indoor parking for a flat rate of $12.5 then all is good.

My favourite beach anywhere in the world. Large horse-shoe shaped beach with beautiful sand. Two areas patrolled by lifesavers. One closest to town has nice waves, but is very busy during peak seasons. At the opposite end of the beach it's a lot calmer and family friendly. A great beach to walk along any time of the year. The local council has done a great job in recent years to improve the board walk and esplanade. Love it!

Love this beach! Beautiful family spot but swim between the flags as there are loads of rips and submerged rocks. Very rough swell so good for boogey boarding. Low tide reveals many hidden rock pools. Lots of shells and pretty rocks!

This is our second time back at Mooloolaba beach and we are so happy to be here. The beach itself is centrally located with the surf club, shops and food outlets a stones throw away. There are plenty of tables and grassy areas for a picnic. The lifeguards usually patrol here when you swim between the flags. It’s a close walk to accommodation such as the mantra and others. Parking is relatively easy with a few parking lots close by.

Beautiful beach. Yes there's a safe and patrolled swimming area. However, I tend to walk along the beach to where it's less populated. Lots of space to sit, read a book, watch the surfers, explore the multitude of rock pools that expose themselves at low tide, close my eyes and listen to the ocean. Or grab an ice-cream or take-aways from one of the many restaurants and sit on the beach. Or watch an amazing sunset, moonrise, whatever! Love this beach!

The SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast Aquarium provides a fun and educational experience for children with its diverse displays and engaging programs. Although it may be pricier than other zoos and aquariums, the seal show is a cool highlight. However, it can get crowded in the seal show area despite requests for social distancing. Booking ahead makes entry easy and the friendly service adds to the overall positive experience.
Great day out for the kids booking time made it easy to get in and the service was very friendly. The seal show was great and the new penguin 🐧 area was interesting. All the displays are well thought out and there is heaps to appreciate if you take a closer look.

A most enjoyable morning (23 July 2022) spent wandering around the aquarium. Great to see such a wide variety of sea life in one easily accessible location. Only wished I'd brought along a better camera to take more worthy photos. Certainly recommend this for kids of all ages. Sea Lions rock, by the way!

We did the behind the scenes tours and also the photos with the seal. It was definitely worth the extra amount in my opinion.
The aquarium and exhibits brought out the inner child in me. All the different species of underwater creatures was fascinating and a bombardment of colours and lighting.
The staff were friendly and the food at the cafe was decent and reasonably priced.
I would definitely recommend a visit.

Such a great day out. Educational exhibits and genuinely such cool views through the tunnel. We bought tickets in advance and went early in the week - almost no crowd! My one suggestion to the aquarium - it would be great to get free wifi! I had no reception throughout most of the building so I couldn't scan all the QR codes for more info and see the pics.

Lots of sea life to look at. Good variety. The map they supplied in a graphical manner was a bit convoluted especially with the ramp leading to the lower penguin space and the ocean tunnel.
The seal presentation was respectful and fun. Cute penguins. Ocean tunnel was cool.

Ticket prices are a bit high, but totally worth having the sea life experience.

Bit hard to find parking on the weekends especially.
Although, huge parking areas are around. Overall, it was a good experience..

Amazing place to take the children. A little bit expensive compared to other aquariums and zoos which had more to look at. The seal show was cool, however expect to be crammed in like sardines. They request everyone to be 1.5m but we were almost sitting on the next persons lap at the seal show, a bit pointless having the set times as it was jam packed in there.

I haven’t been here since I was 7, it didn’t disappoint as I’m 28 now and loved it all, from the petting tanks to the seal show, and all the other exhibits. Had a fantastic day, about 3 hours spent in total. Would recommend

There are no wheelchair car parks. Staff suggested stopping in the loading zone, unloading and then parking. There were buses parked there though so stopped in the road. Also I shouldn't be leaving my client alone while I park the car. We enjoyed the seal show.

What a great way to fill in a few hours on the Sunshine Coast, especially on a hot or rainy day. It is advisable to buy tickets online and arrive early to avoid crowds. The staff are helpful and friendly. There are many tanks full of wonderful sealife, from starfish, seahorses, jellyfish and lobsters. There are penguins, seals and frogs. Of course the seal show is a highlight as well as the shark under water tunnel. So many giant stingrays and sharks as well as turtles and giant gropers.
Kids and adults will have a ball. There is a cafe and air-conditioned playground for the kids.
Such a great outing and definitely recommend visiting if you are at the Sunshine Coast.

Nice little attraction up the coast if you're holidaying for a few days. Always quite busy. We went on a weekday not on school holidays and was still a bit pokey to navigate with staff and other patrons. It's expensive for what it you get. Id find the kids would be just as interested looking around rock pools. The staff weren't overly friendly. The seal show is a highlight but I think they need more interactive experiences.

We love going to sealife with our little girl. It's free for her whilst she is under 3 so we got annual passes. Great experience for her being able to teach her about marine biology and conservation. We went on a Monday this time straight after school holidays finished lot of other preschool aged kids but wasn't to bad. Been told Sunday afternoons are quietest time which we usually try for.

We took two toddlers today and they had an awesome time. The exhibits are colourful and full of underwater life. The seal show was a favourite and good fun. Sea Life aquarium is a wonderful place to see marine life and even some freshwater fish and creatures. Plan on 2-3 hours. Though not outdoors or spread over several acres, the spaces are well utilized. Very child friendly but also very interesting for adults of all ages. It can get crowded by noon. Maybe try arriving around noon and staying for the afternoon after all the early birds head out for lunch. Lots of parking at the wharf area. But probably gets full during holidays.
Andrew Brueske — Google review
Very busy on the weekends, so plan accordingly, was very difficult to find a car park.. for those with sensory issues, parents are not overly concerned about their kids wildly screaming and running around, and the tunnel can make you feel weird. All animals look well cared for, and the touch pool was a bit bare but still interactive and fun. Most staff engage with you, some more shy than others. The seal show was good. I would have loved it to be a bit longer. Seal photos are $30 per person. Overall, it was a great experience. I do appreciate the work Sealife does.
Take away: buy sustainable fish and always put your rubbish in the bin 😉
Charmaine Harris — Google review
First time here. Full of colour, very organised, well structured, (additional payable options available inside depending what more you want to do). Very clean and easily to follow route and takes 2 plus hours ( if you attend the tunnel tour and watch seal world show, as well as some other activities included in base price).
A lot of the interactive stuff however just didn’t work on the day of visit which was a pity because they promised so much and I felt it lacked a bit of the big WOW factor in comparison to similar type venues.
Time-tested theme park featuring a range of rides & attractions, plus shops & casual dining options.
Great place for the kids at an affordable price. Even the food was affordable. Rides for both older and younger children and no wait times. Definitely recommend visiting if you're on a budget 😊.
Belinda Fatai — Google review
We really enjoyed our day here today for My Daughter's birthday. We had a great time, just wish there were more rides for the little ones. Our youngest two couldn't really go on too many rides due to height restrictions and those that they could required a parent to accompany then which is all good and understandable but had to separated into groups (one parent per child) and not ride next to each other due to having to level out the ride so couldn't see or communicate with the other parent and child.
All in all though, it was a great day.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Do recommend this place but maybe for kids a little older and taller (minimum 100-120cm).
Julie Park — Google review
Was actually pretty happy with the rides and overall set up. We paid $200 for 5 people which we thought was a fair price for what was on offer. Most rides and thrill levels are skewed to the younger kids, albeit there are a handful of more exciting rides for the older kids and adults as well. Recommend booking online before heading there. There was heaps of parking when we went (a week day) and we did not have to wait at all. The Banana Bender nearby is a great place to grab a bite to eat before you head back on the road.
Jason Foran — Google review
The queues were minimal, and the rides were fun and amusing. Staff were extremely professional, and safety protocols were bang on. Keep that up.
Sometimes, I couldn't hear the ride staff over the music.
The mini golf course is unexpectedly tricky but loads of fun. 2 or 3 more thrill rides, and this place is a 5 star day out with the kids.

My 5 year old loved this place alot of rides for her to try and go on. We definitely will come again . She didn't want to leave. We brought some food with us and also bought some hot dogs to have. Good meal choices. We really needed an extra day as we didn't get to visit all the rides. She also enjoyed the little water park area as she loves water activities.
Heidi Mcqueen — Google review
We have visited twice now and have loved it both times. Our kids are 8 and 9 now and enjoyed lots of the rides and there was lots for them to do when we visited when they were toddlers too. There were enough adrenaline rides that we will go back again when they are older - us adults loved the SX360!
One of the best things was that even though we went in school holidays there weren't crazy lines for everything - max we had to wait all day for one ride was 20mins and most were much less so we got to ride heaps and go back on the ones we loved. We got a pass-out from the park to go to lunch in Mangos restaurant at the Banana Bender pub right next door and it was amazing - delicious food, super-quirky decor and fun games.
There are so many rides to choose from in the park as well as a super slide and mini golf - definitely schedule a full day to spend here. Really, really good value as well.

Visited for the Gold Coast public holiday and was able to get discount tickets. Wasn't too busy even with the student free day. Rides were fun for my 5 year old. She's tall enough to do most. I liked how descriptive the brochure and website were in regards to ride heights. The kids train is the cutest train I have ever seen. Side show alley was fun. Got a lot of stickers though from the clowns, would be nice to have an offer of different prices. I honestly rated the food. Some of the best theme park food I've had. Gift shop is cute and well stocked.

Great fun for our 4- and 6-yo. Got to enjoy majority of rides together. Free putt-putt included in the ticket. Spent about 4 hours here without going on the bigger rides (which they were too small for) and had a good time.
Loved that it's cheaper and less crowded.
Buy tickets online to save time and money!

Great visit! Nice sized park to be able to get around in a day and see everything.
Went early ie opening time and had some decent time before any queues formed.
Staff were (almost) all great! Clean facility and super focused on safety.

Giving this theme park 5 stars for the value it offers a young family. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and professional. Our kids experienced their first proper roller coaster the Dingo Racer which was brilliant. They also have great smaller kids' rides and entertainment for the family. Reasonably priced food for a theme park. Great day out. We look forward to coming back.

We had an awesome day with the kids. Particularly liked the Mayhem Maze (12+ is definitely right). The human actors did an amazing job and were so scary! Even for a grown up adult. Definitely recommend going in there!!!

Fun little park. Well maintained with fun rides. If you are the thrill seeker type, go to the parks on the Gold Coast where wait times can easily reach upwards of an hour. If you want a family friendly park with something for the whole family, this is it. Not crazy big, so no miles and miles of walking, but not so small that you get bored. We were there a full day and at closing time had not done all the rides yet. Outside of the park are some fun shops and a massive pub.

Really clean, fun, family friendly place. Not long waiting in line for rides (school holidays Sunday). Definitely need a full day there! We'll be back 😄

A good all-around park that caters to families. My two are 13 and 16, so they prefer the Gold Coast theme park rides for extreme speed and gforce rides. However, the queues at the Gold Coast theme parks are a real hassle and the 3-4 decent rides at Aussieworld were great as the queues were short and the family was able to ride on each of them several times while there. SX360, Dingo Racer, Redback and Ballroom Blitz were the hot favourites for my family. The entrance price was very reasonable, especially since you don’t have to spend half the day queuing. Food is OK but expensive like all theme parks. All in all, it's a good theme park for some low stress family fun without all the dramas that you tend to get at the larger Gold Coast theme parks. The Banana Bender Pub next door is also a great place to go for a quick refreshment with plenty of fun for the family after leaving AW and heading elsewhere.

Lots of fun for all ages. Get height measured right at the start so no dramas later. Staff are very responsible ride operators. Buy the soft drink in the yard glass then top ups are $2.50 all day long. Putt putt not great for toddlers with ponds, bushes, snakes but I just went to water play area instead . Half price on student free days and bits for old young and grandparents

Decided to head off to Aussie world for a little fun.
There is plenty of things to do if you are over 1m tall, and if your kid is 99cm, they won't make any rides. Just so happened that she was just under the bar was just passing her head. So I disappointed little girl, they wouldn't let her sit with a parent
The other rides were fun enough for the 2 older kids. Not much waiting times on the rides, max 10 mins. We went on Sunday and wasn't busy.
The food pricing is a little high for fried chips, nuggets but that goes for any tourist attractions.
Kids enjoyed the day out and 1 tip, if it is hot ring your food over to the shed as it is air conditioned

Move over Movie World ! Aussie world has far better facilities and the staff are fantastic. Great rides for the under 12s. So clean and great amentities. Lots of shaded spots and handy water bottle refill taps which was greatly appreciated on our hot and sunny visit. Cannot thank the team enough for their awesome service. Kids loved it ❤️

Such a cool place for the young and for adults.
Awesome amount of rides for toddlers and some new, bigger ones for the adults make this a great, affordable day out!! Never have to wait longer than 2 minutes for a ride. Bar for drinks, food hall for nom noms.....everything you need.
And always grab a show bag with lollies on the way out from the shop.

Really nice place to take the kids to for a fun day out. Food was not terrible or overpriced compared to other theme parks. It's much smaller but imo that makes it so much better, you can walk the whole park in a calm 30 minutes and the lines are not long even in peak times.
Dave Szabo — Google review
We visited Aussie World today. It was in the school holidays but wasn't busy at all. Only short line ups and the kids were often able to go on the same ride several times in a row without waiting at all.
A few rides were closed, but there were plenty of others to keep the kids amused. They staff are very good and made sure that no one was able to get on a ride if they weren't the right height. I had to go on a few rides. The most popular are the Redback, SX 360, the Dingo Racer and the plunge. There is a water play area as well as plenty of rides for smaller kids.
A great day out if you want a break from the beach.

Great little theme park, plenty to do for all ages. Lots of seating when you need a rest. Really is a gem if you're in the Mooloolaba area. The ILLUSIONARIUM is highly entertaining, best fun we've had for a while.
Kings Beach is a seaside district in the Sunshine Coast Region of Queensland, Australia. It lies due east of Caloundra CBD and had 2,788 residents according to the 2016 census.
Australia Zoo, located north of Beerwah in Queensland, is a renowned tourist attraction and wildlife park founded by the late Steve Irwin. The zoo houses an extensive collection of animals from all over the world, including crocodiles showcased at the famous Crocoseum, dingo dogs and Tasmanian devils. Visitors can also enjoy exploring the Cambodian-style Tiger Temple and seeing a variety of critters such as hairy-nosed wombats.
Such an amazing place to visit, especially having always been a big fan of Steve Irwin. It's a beautiful zoo, so well maintained and a great variety of encounters to choose from. Entry is a bit pricey though, especially with a larger family and all children above 14 requires an adult ticket.

The best zoo we have ever been to, their staff are accommodating and lovely. The zoo is stunning. Native flora fauna everywhere. A lot of attractions are interactive and you get a real hands on experience. Remember to pack sunscreen and wear comfortable shoes. Well worth the visit. We were there for over 6 hours and did almost 20,000 steps.

What a zoo!!
Not only is it huge but the quality and cleanliness of each exhibit was impressive.
The shows were wonderful and I highly recommend you go to them all.
It's a very big so, so if you have small children with you make sure to get a pull-trolley which also has storage and drink holders.
The food has improved substantially since my last visit.
A great family outing and must for all Australians and tourists.

Definitely recommend visiting the zoo at least once. It will need a full day pretty much to cover the entire zoo and view most of the shows - with the crocodile show being the highlight that can't be missed. The cafe is very average and just fills your stomach to get you going. Recommend bringing your own food. But a great enjoyable experience overall.

5yo and I had a great time at his school excursion. But it definitely requires two days to get around and see everything. Highly recommend visiting this zoo. And, if you know the Irwin family, it's an extra treat if you see them. First trip and planning our next one in a months time with all the family. I'd say it's worth purchasing annual tickets.

There are no words to describe this place. It was so much more than we expected. Amazing staff from when we entered until we left. The shows were so good and enjoyable. The facilities were all clean and extremely well maintained. The animals looked so good, and nothing was out of place. Well done !!

Every year, I visit and seeing the upgrades makes it worthwhile. Be ready to walk a lot because the zoo is huge and requires a lot of water. The heat and humidity can still be tense even when the weather is cloudy, so pace yourself and you will be fine.

Visiting Australia Zoo was one of the highlights of our trip. A good escape from busy Brisbane City.
The animals seem content and the premises well maintained. Easy access in and out-with ample parking. Main restaurant had typical fast food and restrooms were available just below.
Watched a show but think that it could do with some improvement-the human side. The animals performed 100%!

It was first our visit to Australian and we had such a great experience. Spent about 5 hours walking from one section to another. So big variety of different animals, fantastic show with the stories about them. Huge territory with lots of cafe, water drinking stations, toilets and souvenir shops. Zoo is kept so clean, neat and tidy. We missed a show with tigers and will come back to have a look at this one later.

When passion meets wildlife, you get such a great zoo.
Beautifully maintained, very spacious, the animals are well taken care of, even the shops are great.
$59 per adult isn't cheap, but feels fair for this place. You can easily spend 5 hours here.
And the show at the crocoseum is great, for the entire family.

This place never disappoints. Great friendly staff with lots to see. Be prepared to spend the whole day here. Tip: get your lunch early to avoid the queues especially if you intend seeing the crocodile show and want to get good seats. Fantastic water playground for kids to play in and free animal displays. Paid extra to see the wildlife hospital and was lucky to see several procedures taking place.

We were so impressed. Importantly, there were happy, healthy animals and reptiles. Happy staff, who love their work. The thought behind tributes to the country of origin, including Africa and Asia was well considered and a welcome experience. The care to alleviate stress for the animals, in the landscaping and running water was equally thought out. We went weekday, there would have been hundreds but it's also so well managed throughout, it still felt like a personal journey. Thank you Irwin's and staff 🙏 bravo

We had a wonderful day here, the zoo is well laid out, the map helps too, we just ticked off the animals as we went but managed to see everyone! Enclosures are a good size and clean. Highly recommend the $2 donation to go look inside the vet clinic too!! The cafe was good with a huge selection, and reasonable prices. Toilets were all clean. Overall great day!!

Our third or fourth visit over a period of 15 years and this place just gets better & better! The gardens are stunning, the animal enclosures seem to just blend in and the whole place is beautiful. Really impressed with how clean the entire place is, and all the staff were friendly & seemed very happy. If you are trying to keep costs down, pack yourself a byo picnic. There are drinking fountains about the place too, to top up your water bottle.
Such a huge variety of animals, all so well looked after! Really impressed! Try to set aside a whole day (but you could do it in half a day if you didn't linger at every enclosure).

A great family day! So many animals to see, interesting keeper talks, the Wildlife Warriors crocodile show is great, jumping pillow for the kids to have a break, lots of seats and shady spots for a sunny day, and more. Bring swimmers for the kids, and some frozen water bottles for a hot day. Highly recommended.

Very well presented zoo. Friendly staff, great family vibe; the toilets have great kid’s facilities, very well maintained, clean. Huge variety of animals that seem well looked after. $199 family of four cost. The restaurant was a little in on the expensive side and we were a little disappointed with the crocodile element of the main live show. We did have high expectations. There was an extended ice breaking crowd interaction element and lovely unexpected birds show, and appreciate working with live crocodiles wouldn’t be easy, but the shows ending was a little of a let down.. we were still sitting, wondering if in fact it had ended. It was like the guys suddenly just decided it was the end and the crocodile had had enough. The use of video and extra AV is a nice touch, especially as you get to relive Steve Irwin’s incredible passion for wildlife. Overall well worth it, just a little let down by the croc show, probably due to having had such high expectations

We really enjoyed our visit to the zoo. There was a bit of a wait for the shuttle over to the Africa zone, but it was pretty efficient. There is lots to see and do, plenty of talks and presentations from the animals handlers. My young son loved the laughing frog splash park!

The day was great from start to finish. The animals were great as I had hoped but it was better than that as the staff were truly invested in the well being of the animals. I was very surprised with the food for the humans as well. I am a bit of a problem being gluten and lactose intolerant but was able to get a great Caesar chicken salad my wife had a beef wrap both were a good size serving and for a very reasonable price. The footy ovals should check it out and learn how not to gouge the public.
To do it properly it will take you most of the day.

Truly a world class zoo. Plenty of natural space/ enclosures for the animals. Very professional and helpful staff. The main show is a must see. Very clean and tidy. There are times when you can stroke a koala for free, worth checking with staff...not one of the paid experience sessions.

Great well laid out zoo, you can tell how much the staff love the animals here and the animals all look well cared for and content. There are plenty of amenities and they have a great show in the auditorium.
The price is high compared to other big zoos I have visited.

Always a great experience. The added play area for kids seemed like a fun distraction from all the walking.

Brilliant. Zoo worthy. Amazing grounds. Staff are A+ Enclosures are beautiful. Animals well-cared for. Can see the passion, love and conservation credentials in every single thing. A bit 'Crikey' and 1990s vibes with memorabilia but that is part of the charm. Very worthwhile and makes you extremely proud of Irwin family and what they keep aiming for and achieving.

Wonderful scenery all around the Zoo.
Many places to fill your water bottle plus loads of vending machines for drinks, no cash taken though.
Easy to walk through and find everything although more shaded areas would have been nice.
The crocodile show was the highlight of the day, got to see some amazing and well trained birds and Robert Irwin feed a massive croc!
Huge amount of animals from all across the world.
Gift shop is surprisingly well priced with t shirts being only $50 and hats $35.
Overall wonderful day out, definitely worth the ticket price.

HUGE!
This is certainly one of the best parks in Australia.
Everything is very well conserved, the animal's hair is treated better than that of many women out there (sorry girls).
Everything clean, and very organized.
The coffee is good, restaurant is great as well and staff is really friendly.
The only thing I missed was cold water to drink along the park. But you can grab ice from the coke machines in the restaurant.
Besides that, everything was simply perfect in the minimal details (almost like Disney).

My daughters and I really enjoyed our time at the zoo. We spent 4 hours walking around and taking in all the wonderful animals. Every enclosure had animals in it so we felt very lucky that that was the case. The show at the middle of the day was wonderful, however I would note that the music was too loud over the presenters voices. I did love that so much of what they talk about is based and still surrounded on Steve Irwin. It's lovely to see his legacy lives on.

Australia Zoo! What an amazing place. The Irwin family, and their staff have done such an amazing job with this zoo. I have never seen anything like it before in all my travels. The layout, the size of enclosures, the cleanliness, the friendliness and knowledge of the staff are unsurpassed. I thought it would be like any other zoo, but they have taken it to the next level.
Take note you other zoos. You are a long way behind!!
Thank you Irwin family for building this amazing place. It is a true monument for the original wildlife warrior!!

I HATE zoos in general as they are usually extremely sad places for wild animals to live BUT Australia Zoo has been on my bucket list for years because of the amazing work Steve Irwin and his wonderful family are doing to help animals on this planet. I've watched the TV shows and knew I had to visit. I was NOT disappointed! The enclosures are large and clean and made interesting for the wildlife that live there. The Zoo is well run, well designed and the animals are all happy and healthy. The zoo-keepers seem to genuinely love their jobs and the animals in their care; they were extremely informative at all the feeding sessions. We took a sneak peak at the animal hospital and we were in awe of the rescue work that is done there!
All in all, it's a MUST see! You won't regret it.

Oh, I miss Australia, we were just getting to know it a tiny bit. I want to go back! That being said, it is nice to be home! One place I really enjoyed was the Australia Zoo home of the Crocodile Hunter. When we pulled up, I admit I was a bit skeptical. A zoo, really? Then I saw the entry price and nearly fainted. An adult ticket is $70, $60 for senior (68 and up) or student. On the way, I was looking at their restaurants and was equally dismayed at their prices! After experiencing about half the place, seeing a few of their daily shows, and learning about their shared passion to preserve the natural beauty of native wildlife, I have a whole new attitude! I love the place! The admission may be a bit pricey for a zoo, but it's a small price to pay for entry into the world of the Irwin family and their commitment to preserving global wildlife! As for the food, we only sampled some of their carnival type food. It was very good and freshly prepared. Well worth the price. Their 'sit down' restaurant had offerings you might only find in the fanciest of places. While I originally thought $100 per person was a lot for a 'zoo' I realized that in any amusement park in the states you'd spend that much for a couple bottles of water, yesterday's burger, soggy fries, a soda, and an ice cream sundae. It is also encouraged to bring your own food and have a picnic lunch! Oh, and unlike the airport, they let you bring your own water and even have filling stations for free water refills. So, if you should ever find yourself near Brisbane on the Sunshine Coast of Australia, do make the trip up to "Steve's place"! You'll be glad you did!
PS plan to spend a couple of days if you want to really experience the place! They have two day passes for just a few more $.
Just had a fabulous cruise along the Pumicestone Passage with Ferryman Cruises! The cruise was a delight from start to finish. The skipper and crew made us feel immediately welcome. The voyage was leisurely and smooth. The commentary just enough to spark interest. The lunch was just the right combination of fresh salads and meats and the wine was served ice cold - exactly the way I like! Thank you Ferryman Cruises! I will be back with or without the Red Hatters.

Our family enjoyed our morning tea boat trip with The Ferryman.
Despite some showers, the crew were fantastic in providing a great morning on the water.
We travelled up Pummicestone Passage, close enough to the shoreline at times to view the pristine beaches, shorebirds etc. The information about the local area was good.
Morning tea of scones and tea or coffee was nice and plentiful.
My kids liked being ontop of the boats viewing platform, and as it did rain at times the crew put down some of the window shades for protection, and would like to try the lunchtime trip anothertime.
We enjoyed our trip.

Went on the " Morning Tea" Pumistone Passage cruise today with Ferryman Cruises.
Since the new owners Mike and Jeannine have taken over, they certainly have improved the standards and service.
We had a lovely 2 hr cruise today, left on time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Skipper Ivan gave a well informed commentary during the cruise, weather was cloudy, but still warm enough to spent our time up top.
Our stewardess Nicole provided us with coffee, scones and friendly service.
We're long time residents of Bribie, have cruised the Passage many times in several different boats owned by us, but this was far more relaxing having everything taken care of .
We would certainly recommend this cruise to locals and visitors alike.
It's excellent value for money, both Skipper Ivan and stewardess Nicole did a wonderful job and we'll certainly be back again.
Highly recommended.

Did the morning tea ferryman cruise at 10am - 12noon cost was $39 pp + charges $82.68.
The captain and 1st mate were terrific, very helpful and friendly. Clean boat with plenty of reasonably comfy seats undercover as well as bench style open air upstairs. Morning tea was delicious, 2 large freshly baked scones with jam and cream with a choice of tea or coffee. There were scones left over so we were offered another. Captain gives commentary up the passage. Nice views of the Glasshouse Mountains. We did the trip at low tide which in my opinion was a good time to go. The passage sandbars were exposed so there were quite a few birds to see eg godwits, cormorants, pelicans, sandpipers, spoonbills.Keep an eye out on waterway signals birds tend to sit on them, did see a beautiful osprey on one of them. There were dugongs but they came up to the surface very quickly and went straight back down again the same with the green turtles making them impossible to really see. On our way back we saw 2 pair of bottle nose dolphins, they were a little easier to get a pic of.
In an hour you make it half the way up the passage then turn around and cruise back.
I did enjoy it but, the cruise but the scenery is the same all the way up the passage, lots of mangroves very monotonous. If it wasn’t for the sandbars with birds it would have been just a boat ride up the passage. After an hour I was ready to swim back to shore.
If you can find a friend or hire a boat that might be a better way to see they passage at least you can pull up on shore along the way.
I could only give it 3 stars, absolutely nothing to do with the service or staff only because the scenery was very monotonous. If you stand along any part of Bribie shoreline and look across the passage that what you will see all the way on the cruise.
My husband thought it was worth 4 stars he said it’s what he expected.

Although the place is beautiful, it's definitely not suitable for humans. The weather is as hot as a desert, and you could get a sunburn in just 5 minutes under the sun. People are constantly applying sunscreen and jumping into the water to cool off. Unfortunately, I think this is the reason why all the coral appears to be dead.

Zero acknowledgment of the original indigenous people of the area. No mention of their tribal names, languages, sacred places, artefacts or cultural perspectives on history of the area. The museum Is interesting for adults and kids. For adults there’s a wide variety of different historical collections relevant to the area. For kids (and big kids -ok, I’m Guilty) there is a free-drawing space with an “invitation” to do some more directed stuff.
Took three kids there and they stayed for over an hour looking and doing different things.

Booked early for the Ian Fairweather event this afternoon. What a fabulous event, presented extremely well by the museum staff and volunteers. What a lovely historical transport back in time with speakers that had pathed ways and interactions with Ian Fairweather. It was wonderful to then speak with others in the community that were locals from the past and life from the early years of Bribie.Highly recommend and would appreciate events such as this in the future.

Presented a workshop at the venue. It is a lovely space. Need to get better air-conditioning on such a hot day.
Thanks to Bernat and Nigel for taking us on our wreck dive today. We had a great time. All equipment was in excellent condition and the instructions were clear and consistent. Would totally recommend for any beginner and experienced divers.

It was a long line wait up, got told we could hire fins for the day so waited 30 mins in line and then to be told by another staff member that they don't do that and would have to hire the whole set which costed more so that wasted our time and this staff member was very rude/arrogant towards us. Did not appreciate staff not being on the same page, will not be hiring from here best to just buy your own gear elsewhere and bring it in on the day. They need to also update and have a better system in place when hiring items out especially with how busy it can get here.

We went on the 1,5hours guided snorkeling tour along the shipwrecks, which ended up being only half an hour of snorkeling with all the waiting and gearing up. We were disappointed of how little we got to see, especially with another 40 people in the water with us (there were about 4 groups in total with a guide each and we often got confused in the water who to follow). We ended up hiring a double kayak afterwards to go back to the wrecks and had so much more fun there - we even saw a turtle then. The snorkel tour is only worth it if your with kids or doing snorkeling the first time.

One of the many facilities in Morton Island resort. Allows online booking and good comms after booking, including ensuring that we are strong enough to kayak to the wrecks and get back. We had booked the wrecks tour, but cancelled it as the weather looked unpredictable and staff were happy to cancel it. We ended up hiring the kayaks and going to the wrecks ourselves the weather turned out to be good, which was a bit cheaper than the tour. The kayaking itself was tiring but the experience at the wrecks was worth it!

Apart from sunburn it was an amazing day out! Kayaking along the beach down to the wrecks was fun, and snorkeling around the wreck amongst the fish was fabulous. Definitely recommend to anyone who is interested

Purely on the fact there’s no life guards. I nearly lost my sister to drowning, it was a traumatic holiday. I had to swim to her and risk my own life to help her. I was signalling people for ages for help, there was a boat with scuba divers and no one saw. Finally some foreigners on a kayak helped the both of us after minutes of struggle thankfully.
I asked the Venue if they ever have life guards and they said they never do.
This is more a warning, please be careful snorkelling at the ship wreck, if you are not a strong swimmer stay with a group of people even when swimming in or out!

Went for a snorkelling session.
Of my family of 4, my goggles were cracked and had to be replaced while we were halfway snorkelling. The replaced goggles did not get the "anti-fog" treatment so it was constantly fogging up.
But there were a great number of fishes to see at the wreck and other than my equipment-failures, the rest of my family had good fun.
There was also not as much care and attention as I would have preferred. The briefing session was done like a task that the staff had to go through and there was not much sense that the staff were genuinely keen to make the experience awesome for people who took part.
Overall, the location for snorkel was great. But the equipment, the logistics and the staff were nothing to shout about.

Wonderful diving of the Tangalooma Gravie and Tangalooma ship wreck.
It was above and beyond my expectations, I strongly recommend not only snorkelling it as the dives were so interesting.
Our dive instructor Alex made the dive experience so easy. His knowledge and professionalism in the water are second to none.

My sons did their open water scuba diving course here and had a brilliant time. The instructor Cameron is fantastic - knows his stuff and is patient and fun with the kids. The site was awesome as well, they did dives at the wrecks and saw turtles, sharks, and even lion fish. Highly recommended!

Tangalooma Bypass, Moreton Island QLD 4025, Australia
Evening feeding encounters with wild bottlenose dolphins, usually around sunset at an island resort.
its our first time to visit Tangalooma. It has a beautiful beach and fanstic emerald ocean colour.
Also we did many activities (4WD ATV, and fantastic experience interacting with feeding wild Dolphins)
Thank you to all Tangalooma staff and especially the manager-Mr.Grant .He Provide enthusiastic and professional commentary. Passionate about helping customers and did us a big favour.
One of the best place to visit with family. Serene!

We have booked for the wild dophin feeding but was told to cancel due to some flood reasons. At the island the staff told us that only guest at the resort can book for the feeding. As we are not the guest but on a one day trip, we are disappointed that we are given the wrong reason. Nevertheless we watch from the stand on the feeding. At the same time there was filming.

Loved the place. Lots of activities, great facilities. Beautiful location. Close to Brisbane. Easy to get to and lots to do when your there. Preferred watching the dolphins from the pier, but my daughter lined up 3 nights in a row to feed them. Definitely worth checking out
Jared Oak — Google review
Fed 2 dolphins. I think the order of the dolphins made it a bit better.
Of the bucket of fish, I grabbed the ONLY wrong fish haha
My first feed was to Echo. Echo was a little rough, scared me because I didn’t expect him to push forwards so much, sort of pushed me backwards a bit.
My second feed was to Comet. I was expecting the chance of roughness so when Comet went for the bite I moved back a little scared that he’d get my hand in his mouth. Although Comet was gentle so I did pull the fish away from him 😅 just glad he was still gentle afterwards and went for his bite slowly.
Dexter Liu — Google review
Rare opportunity to feed wild dolphins right in the ocean by hand. Draws a fairly large crowd but they handle it quite well, especially given that the number of dolphins is unknown each night until they come in for a feed.
Glenn Moore — Google review
Took a long time to actually get to feed them. Short time in the water but an enjoyable experience. Very capable staff working in trying times. Recommend it to everyone.
Mick Gorman — Google review
If you want a really honest review, read this one. This review is from a P&O customer who came to the island via a cruise. We spent approx 1.5 - 2 hours on this tour. They gave food at the beginning which was average and we didn’t even get a chance to eat much as we arrived ON TIME and others arrived earlier and ate everything. A little disorganised there. Then we sat down for a presentation. Highly educational but not in a boring way. It was a very good presentation. Then we went to the beach and waited for some while to feed the dolphins. All this time you get super enthusiastic and excited to feed the dolphins but unfortunately when you get called, you put your hand in the water, the dolphin eats the fish, and they tell you to get out of the water. Overall you spend about 2 minutes with the dolphins and mind you, you’re not allowed to touch them. The 2 minutes was still great and staff were extremely nice, however don’t get mislead by the way they advertise this tour. This is exactly what happens and it is very unique but at the same time extremely disappointing especially since it is the most expensive tour on the island.
ekaterina chertenkova — Google review
Dolphin feeding was included in our Tangalooma package and it was obvious that many other had the same; after sunset loads of people lined up on the beach to feed a fish to the dolphins. To move all these people through quickly we had to line up in 5-6 queues after which we took turns entering the water. Our dolphin snatched the fish in a millisecond and we had to exit the water to allow the next person in. It was dark and we could only see a bit of the animal in the big lights that were directly toward the water. More of a factory-conveyor-belt than a nature experience unfortunately.

I definitely would do it again - the dolphin experience is something I won't forget and it's your chance to see a wild dolphin up close

Great experience. A couple of tips: it takes quite a while to cycle through everyone, so plan on lining up early. We were told 6:15, but line was already 50 deep by 6:10. You can bring your own camera/phone into the water with you as long as its one-hand operation.

Did an Explorer bus trip from the Carnival Splendor today .
The resort is just stunning with a huge variety of activity options & is now on my bucket list..
HOWEVER our bus driver Mark gave absolutely NO narration, information or descriptions on the shipwrecks, history or lay of the land as apparently the microphone wasn't working?
Why the hell NOT❓❓
At $170 for a day tour, we learnt nothing, zero nothing which was very disappointing to all the first time visitors Australian & International visitors. The only reason we learnt anything on the return trip was because a passenger was sitting up in the front seat asking questions..
Brett, the other driver was thoroughly informative & friends on his bus advised us of his expert narration.
A total waste of money.
The lunch sandwiches were delicious!

Unfortunately the dolphin feeding experience was quite underwhelming.
From the photos / videos we’d seen we were expecting quite an intimate experience with 10-15mins in the water with the dolphins.
It was more like 200 people and very commercialised.
There was a HUGE line to queue up. They then slowly checked everyone off a list and made you stand in another queue. Rather than splitting the people who lined up first to the front of the 5 smaller queues (which seems fair) they filled 1 queue and then moved onto the next. It also seemed like the perfect opportunity to get the feeding started so people got to enjoy the experience.
We waited at least 30mins before they then started a talk. At this point everyone was fed up, children were running wild & we couldn’t even hear the microphone. Finally we got 1 fish each and about 1 min in the water with the dolphin. Before having to grab our bags and leg it to the boat.
SUCH an inefficient experience, which felt very rushed and impersonal. The resort could manage the whole feeding process so much better so it was a more relaxed and enjoyable experience.

4 dolphins came in during our feed time. They were very playful. Quickly took the fish from us. My 6 year old was mesmerised by them.
Unique walkway honoring the namesake pop group with statues, photos & a musical light show.
Great free streetside museum that’s open to the public 24-7! Really cool, commemorating the Gibb brothers careers and rise to fame! At night they boast a light show and there is a continuous stream of their biographies and highlights in an outdoor big screen and of course their many hits! Then you can stroll down the boardwalk at Moreton Bay! Beautiful!

This is a walk way between shops, so totally free. It's set out so well. You can take a leisurely stroll whilst listening to Bee Gee's music which is played continuously. There is so many photos and information to look at and read along your stroll. The status are great and very life like. It is out doors so if raining you will need an umbrella.

Awesome tribute and mini museum to the Bee Gees. Inside not know that they were from Moreton Bay and the entire display was not only very informative but entertaining and organised very well. There is a free light show on every night along with a documentary interviewing the Bee Gees. Great trip down memory lane as my parents loved the Bee Gees and I listened to them as a kid.

Bee Gees Way is located in Redcliffe Parade, Redcliffe QLD 4020.
This unique place was put together in collaboration with Barry Gibbs, who is the living member of the Bee Gees.
This 70 metre walk, though Bee Gees Way takes into account the musical history of this fabulous family group of talented musicians, their truly wonderful range of music created over many years together.
You can relax & listen to the many songs & videos that are available 24 hours a day.
The wonderful facilities that have been created through Barry Gibbs & others are definitely worth visiting this magnificent area of the Redcliffe Peninsular.
You can sit down & just take in the nostalgic range of everything that the Bee Gees had to offer over the decades past.

A fantastic (and free!) side street museum dedicated to the Bee Gees and commemorating the Gibb brother's rise to fame. There's a wide range of information boards, photos, status and music playing, in addition to a television screen streaming their biographies and highlights of their careers. In the evening there's a light show and this attraction is great for all ages (our son loved it too!).

A successful street montage on the life and lives of the Bee Gees, the three Gibb brothers, and the family's ups and downs. This is a very honest presentation that benefits from have time to read the details. Very positive, can get uncomfortably busy and cramped. The tinny music is a bit too much. Good to see the display is lovingly maintained. Definitely not a fake.
Great shopping centre, it has everything! Really clean and modern. Easy to park and walk around.

Convenient shopping centre, better than Chermside as it's a lot less busy. Always easy to find a car park. Great atmosphere in the outdoor dining area. Also great facilities for families with young children. Good parents rooms with private areas for feeding babies, baby change facilities, parents/child toilets and toddler play areas.

There has to be a more streamline way for people to exit the car parks. During peak and non peak times I seem to always get caught behind someone that has an issue with payment. Either way Westfield North Lakes has a great range of shops and has always got ample parking.

Good Westfield with a good selection of retailers. The only thing a don't like about this centre is the layout is shocking in terms of design. There are three main walkways in here but none of them are interconnected, so you have to walk all the way back the way you came if you want to go to another section.

Otherwise, this is a good Westfield and I usually stop by when I'm in the area.

It is a shopping centre, they are for convenience, not so much for pleasure.
Very busy, especially in the food court on weekends.
Poor cleaners don't even get enough time to clean the tables before the next customer needs to make a new mess.
A good variety of stores and handy if you live local. Not worth a lengthy travel.

The best place on Straddie to catch Brim, whiting, flat head, squid etc... Also the most stunning spot for sunset over the water, See the dolphins, jetty jump, BBQs boat ramp and lots of wild life, awesome spot !

Amazing spot to visit, especially in the afternoons for the sunset. Most afternoons the local dolphins usually appear near the jetty as well. You can also spot many types of fish, sting rays etc from the jetty too. There are BBQs in the park nearby. We spotted koala's on the gum trees in the park. If you are a boatie, there's a decent boat ramp there, however there is no pontoon at the ramp for easy offload and retrieve of the boat.

Beautiful food, service, and coffee. Every time I go over to Straddy, this is always my first port of call, for a cake and a cappuccino and a bit of a chat. My sister and I just had 3 days over there, and the lady who runs the Amity Point Jetty shop told us where to get the best seafood on Straddy, so we got that on our way home. It was beautiful. Perry's Seafood is the place.

A super spot. We visited on the first day of winter and the sun was out and the sky blue. The caravan park adds to the area keeping it green and giving it an open park like feeling. Lots of interesting things to see; the pelicans, the dolphins, the diving birds, people loading their boats, the dock to walk out, the beach to walk along. Very restful and out of the wind compared too the more wild east side of the island.

Awesome little ocean front. We were excited to see a wild dolphin hanging around the jetty hoping for scraps from the folks fishing on the jetty.
This little beach is not open for surfing, due to this it is ideal for scuba classes in a protected area. I was told that the protective nets were places there to stop sharks from coming into the scuba/children's swimming area.

Absolutely breathtaking. A must do for all of Brisbane's inhabitants.
The journey to and from is quite the experience too. Hop a passenger ferry ride from Cleveland to North Stradbroke Island, services available 7 days a week and about 15 bucks a head (students get half rate). Vehicle ferries too are possible, but be prepared to dish it out (about 70-100 bucks each way) and would need to be booked well in advance.
Comfy ferry ride! Stay inside with some a/c on your face, or get adventurous and get some gale strength sea air puffing out your cheeks on the top deck seating area. I've heard that one of the ferries even has a café of sorts. Ride time - 45 mins.
The bus journey (Go-cards won't work) is $10 for the entire day, as many bus rides within the island as you please, again 50% off for students. Get ready to walk a fair bit within the island, though, as buses may not be around every 10 mins like in the city.
The bus journey from the ferry point ends at North Straddie's gorge walk. Ride time - 30 mins~.
The gorge walk - The sights are too pretty to be true. Our attempt on a mildly sunny day produced crystal blue ocean waters, refined golden sands, and sculpted cliffsides that are simply too beautiful to describe. The gorge walk takes about 20-30 mins to complete and is a fair stretch to your legs (especially if you're lugging around some food and drink).
You finish the trail almost at where you started (it's basically a big loopy circuit on the cliffside) and camp it out with a picnic sheet on the grassy banks overlooking the clear blue sea. Sightings of sea turtles and whales are quite a common occurrence. Mind the 'roo poo, though. Plenty of fellas hopping around, with a blatant disregard to the touristy kind, carrying on with their business!
End the day with a dip in the sea, the Cylinder beach is about a 45 min walk/5 min bus ride (if you time your journey right - we didn't!). The indoor showers/changing rooms at the beach could be a little better maintained, but to be honest, it was really no big deal!
All in all, a Saturday well spent. Happy days!

Roma Street Parkland is a 16 hectare urban park located in the heart of Brisbane, Australia, designed by Lawrence Halstead and opened in 2001. The park features display gardens, waterways and an amphitheater and is popular with locals and tourists alike for its relaxing setting, excellent wildlife spotting opportunities, playgrounds for the kids, music festivals and alcohol consumption.
These are exceptionally lovely gardens. So peaceful and relaxed. Easily accessible from Roma St Station. It was so wonderful to be able to walk around and see the plantings and watch the lizards. Amazing public gardens. Many beautiful lush zones to explore, it rivals most botanic gardens we've visited. Two small, but very cleverly designed and lovely play equipment spaces. Again, clean and well maintained. The larger of the two is aimed at younger children and my toddler and baby had a wonderful time exploring the space. The pathways are clean and clear, the whole park was immaculately maintained and tended too. We saw lots of cheerful workers who were all happy to stop and wave and chat to my 2 year old who was fascinated with their ATVS and bright uniforms. There was a more than ample amount of BBQs and covered picnic tables. Parking was easy to find on street within the park and we paid a very reasonable $5 an hour and were a three metre walk from the bridge entrance. Our only complaint was that the Parkland Explorer train is no longer running, it's been moved out to the Ipswich Rail Museum. It would have been absolutely magical to ride the train through the park and we very much hope it is reinstated soon!

Amazing with so many beautiful flowers. Easily accessible by public transport and a great place for slightly older people because the walking path will suit their needs. I had an amazing volunteer who explained to me a little bit about history and different flowers there. There's even a children's playground and plenty of quiet spaces to catch up on your reading.

What a beautiful parkland. Bursting with spring colours and plenty of paths to explore. We saw lots of water dragons in and around the gardens and water. Everywhere we went we could hear the sound of running water. Just beautiful. The kids enjoyed a play at the playground and loved all the creative seats and vegetable gardens as well. Well worth a visit.

Beautiful and well maintained park! It’s good to see that there are many seating areas, toilet is nice and tidy. There’s a flower exhibition during our visit and it was great to see! Hats off the Roma park management and to all of your gardeners!

Have visited this parkland many times since it opened in 2001 & it never fails to please. Spread out over 27 acres, the vibrant displays of flowers are changed frequently, attracting birds & lizards. There are walkways & water features plus a great onsite cafe. A place to relax & enjoy so close to the centre of town

Exceptional gardens, ingeniously designed planting and layout packs a huge variety of experiences from walking through tree canopies to exploring cool shaded fern gullies with garden rooms of bright flowers and interesting water features. If you love nature and only have time to explore one place in Brisbane this would be my top recommendation. Bring a sun hat and camera! Congratulations to the talented gardens team for their work and to Council for having the vision to keep these gardens so well maintained as the gardens have grown into a superb experience for tourists and residents alike!

Great place to take the family for a picnic. Usually has a lot of free events on throughout the year. The gardens are always so vibrant & very well maintained, with cool garden designs to keep you intrigued. Great place for photographers to come take photos of nature. Does have public toilets, a park for the little ones, bubblers & a lovely Cafe.

Fantastic. A great place for full day out. There is plenty to see and do. The parks are family friendly and there was plenty of seating available at the time of visit. The amenities were clean and functional. They also had disability support available and mothers change rooms as well.
I have been told that there is an excellent guided tour available which makes the Parkland even more interesting. I have not had that experience as at time of this review.

Awesome parkland, lots to explore. The children's play area is good, the water fall was picturesque and the toy train journey was really good for the kids. It had a bit wait time, though, but worth it. The gardens are beautiful. A good place to spend a day.

Absolutely beautiful gardens fitting for a clean city like Brisbane! Lots to do here and easy to get lost in adventure while going for a casual walk. The gardens are well maintained with waterfalls and water park features to provide lush ambient sounds drowning out the city noise. Very relaxing place!

A very relaxing place to visit in contrast to the hustle and bustle of the city. There are multiple zones through the parkland dedicated to different types of garden and flora.
Many flower beds are in full bloom, with others not far away. Fragrance permeates the air combined with vivid colours, which can be appreciated by all.
The park has multiple seating and viewing areas where people can stop and enjoy their surroundings. The one detraction from this is the multiple signs everywhere telling you what you can't do.
Accessibility is good for all throughout the park via wide pathways, which is great for those who are mobility restricted.
There are picnic and fantastic playground areas catering to families. There are multiple picnic sites with BBQs. The playgrounds are integrated with the gardens and the terrain, allowing for a great experience for the younger ones.
There are ample public facilities (toilets, baby change, etc) which are well maintained and clean. There are also cafe/shop options. However, the ones internal to the parkland are only open on weekends.
I appreciated the ANZAC corner, which had a very well maintained area for quite remembrance.
It is a small annoyance, but it is a pity that the external entrances are so far apart.
It is a great place to visit with something new to see/discover every time you wander in.

What a magical place. Enjoy miles of walking/biking trails amongst the largest sub tropical garden in the world. The grounds are beautifully maintained, very clean, and peaceful. There are numerous large lawn areas for picnics and tables set throughout the park. The children's garden is nestled under the trees with plenty of playground equipment. Kudos to the creators and those who care for it.

Roma Street Parkland is a tranquil haven nestled in the heart of Brisbane. This lush and meticulously landscaped park is a breath of fresh air, both figuratively and literally, in the midst of the city's urban landscape. The park is a testament to thoughtful urban planning, offering a diverse range of experiences for visitors.
One of the highlights of Roma Street Parkland is its beautifully curated gardens. From the stunning Spectacle Garden with its vibrant floral displays to the calming Rainforest Walk, there's something for every nature enthusiast. The meticulously maintained lawns and water features add to the park's serenity.
The park also boasts excellent recreational facilities, including playgrounds for children, making it a great family destination.

Well-maintained and beautiful gardens in the middle of the city. Lots of street parking spots around the gardens, but can get busy on a beautiful day. For a first timer exiting at the same spot as entering can be tricky, so keep note of the entry point.

Really great park. Beautifully manicured gardens. Fantastic lawns to chill on and play sports L. Amenities are clean. Lots of tables and Bbq's. Fun play ground for kids - not big enough though. .I think the only thing that has changed and for the worse is the train costing $6 each to ride. It was gold coin donation just 6 years ago.

A very nice park with only one negative point. Many plastic bottles in the pond and the small creek which are not removed. If you are in a wheelchair you can easily reach certain points on your own when you are sporty, you can for the upper part you need help.

Roman Street Parkland in Brisbane is a true urban oasis, a gem nestled in the heart of the city. From the moment you step into this lush paradise, you're greeted with a sense of tranquility that is hard to find in the bustling cityscape. The park's well-manicured lawns, vibrant flower beds, and towering trees offer a picturesque escape that invigorates the soul. It's not just the greenery that makes Roman Street Parkland exceptional; the thoughtfully designed walking paths, which meander through the park, invite visitors to enjoy a leisurely stroll or a brisk walk, all while basking in the beauty of nature.
The attention to detail in this park is astounding. The playgrounds are a delight, offering a safe and exciting environment for children to play and explore. The benches strategically placed throughout the park provide perfect spots for relaxation or for simply soaking in the serene atmosphere. The water features add a calming element, their gentle sounds providing a soothing backdrop to the natural setting.
The park's maintenance team deserves a special mention for their relentless efforts in keeping the space pristine and welcoming. Their hard work ensures that every visit to Roman Street Parkland is as enjoyable as the last.

Absolutely amazing experience when visiting! Highly recommend for both tourists and locals. The scenery was magnificent. So many different flowers, plants, trees, water features, and little critters were there to soak in!
The sounds of the city are completely drowned out, which contributed amazingly to a quiet and peaceful experience. The abundance of flora made the air smell sweeter and clean.
There is a playground within the area for little ones to enjoy and to give parents and guardians a spot to sit and rest. It was fairly clean all things considered, and hazards are limited.
Multiple events are held at this location throughout the year for families to enjoy, and they're rather spectacular!
A huge highlight of this location is its accessibility. I had 0 trouble getting around with my wheelchair from start to finish. The pathways are wide enough to accommodate more than one wheelchair user side by side, and the steepest hills are still manageable when using a manual wheelchair.
I intend to visit again, and highly recommend this location for all ages.

The Children's Art Centre at the gallery allows kids to become engaged with art through exhibits that are often brightly coloured andboldly designed.

A lot of aboriginal art as you'd expect, some modern European art but not as much as I was hoping to see as I'm interested in all art not just one culture. The tours that explain the art are fab and free so definitely worth doing. You can spend as little as an hour to as long as you want here, depends on your taste. Not good for kids, please don't bring them, there's a café and there's big bag storage. Staff are very friendly.

Stunning venue.
Event - Slim Fashion Awards 2024.
Service was excellent.
On the rooftop there should have been some fans, and everyone could have enjoyed the event without feeling uncomfortable.
Catering - a tad underwhelming, as was sadly very over cooked steaks.

The Gallery of Modern Art is a must-visit destination for any art lover visiting the city. The gallery is located in a beautiful building and is home to a stunning collection of contemporary art.
The gallery's collection spans a range of styles and mediums, from painting and sculpture to video and installation art. The works on display are thought-provoking and inspiring, and showcase some of the most innovative and cutting-edge art being created today.
The layout of the gallery is well-designed, with ample space between the exhibits and plenty of natural light. The gallery also has a number of comfortable seating areas where visitors can take a break and reflect on the art they have seen.
One of the highlights of the gallery is the regular exhibitions and events that are held throughout the year. These showcase the work of both established and emerging artists and provide a unique insight into the contemporary art world.
The staff at the gallery are knowledgeable and friendly, and are always on hand to answer questions or provide information about the art on display. They also offer guided tours and workshops, which are a great way to deepen your understanding of the art and artists on display.
Overall, the Gallery of Modern Art is a world-class institution that is well worth a visit. Whether you are a seasoned art enthusiast or a casual observer, there is something for everyone here. The gallery offers a unique and engaging glimpse into the world of contemporary art, and is a true gem in the cultural landscape of the city.

It's such a nice museum with very beautiful layouts, and the exhibition is so well presented with good commentary and background of the artwork. It's very quiet and there are staff walking around to make sure everything is well organised. There's also a little gift shop, toilets and cloak room at the entrance. The best thing is that it's free!

I love the exhibits artworks here, the modern art displayed is tasteful and refreshing unlike most "morderm art" in other museums which is literally trash. This is my favourite gallery/museum in Brisbane by far. It always seems to get a good set of exhibitions each year and has built a good collection for the free parts of the gallery. Kids love it, and there are always good activities for them. Great restaurant, too, but you need to book!

As someone who loves art, I was delighted to visit this free art museum in Brisbane. The collection is impressive, with a diverse range of artwork from both local and international artists. I particularly enjoyed the contemporary pieces and the thought-provoking exhibitions that challenge traditional ways of thinking. However, compared to the Queensland Art Gallery, which is also free to enter, I found that this museum lacked some of the depth and breadth in its collection. Nevertheless, it's definitely worth a visit, especially if you're on a budget and looking for a cultural experience in the heart of the city. The museum also has a gift shop where you can pick up a souvenir to take home. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and would recommend this museum to anyone looking for a dose of art and culture.

We bought tickets for the exhibitions on display eX De Medici and Michael Zavros which were both excellent. The gallery spaces are fantastic, modern, spacious and easy to navigate. I tend to question "modern art" as it seems anything is considered "art" now, from sneezing to putting flowers in your face. You don't need skill or talent anymore, so I found it amusing when I walked past a sight I assumed was still being set up & thought "well now, THAT could be considered ART!" It's so ridiculous that no one can tell the difference if there wasn't a tape around it! It is also such a huge waste of space with the exaggerated sizes of rubbish people create to call modern art, compared to what is needed when using intricate skills with something detailed. That two floor building could easily become 3 or 4 & have workshops with so much more art being exposed! Even sharing digital art! There's your "Modern Art"! THAT is Amazing what computers are creating! Imagine seeing your own image on a wall as a superhero, caveman/woman, video game character, or alien. That would be incredible art I would definitely love to see! Also, GOMA always has sections shut off that you have to pay for! *Sigh* The art has already been bought for *who can seriously afford it* then you expect us common folk to pay even more to stroll around & look at the random garbage! Those who do are crazy! That's all I'm saying!

Yesterday I check out the Fairy Tales Exhibition and I had an amazing time there. I especial love the Labyrinth, Mirror Mirror & Alice in Wonderland exhibitions.
And hope GOMA might do more movies or tv series displays in the near future. Maybe do a Bridgerton display with the costumes and props from the tv series. I would love to see that at the Gallery later on. Thanks everyone!

Another example of a hugely expensive, beautiful new building that is laid out in such a way that very little art can ever or ever will be presented here.
Massively tall walls, ceilings, walk ways (boulevards) and 2 - 3 things that may catch one’s attention.
Coffee shop, restaurant, meeting rooms and of course the overstuffed sizable gift shop. What a waste of public and private funds

I stayed in the hotel with my daughter for her birthday. We booked a king parlour room with breakfast included. We found parking easy and affordable, on check in we were told we were gifted a $50 food/beverage credit for any bar / restaurant in either the hotel or casino. We were also given a late check out of 12pm without asking which was very much appreciated. The room was perfect. The breakfast included a choice of one cold and one hot dish from a list of each. The location was perfect. The staff were all very helpful. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Look, great hotel, service was perfect, you can hardly fault the place, but a word of warning to anyone looking to hire the Casino Suite here. DO NOT let them give you room 3250! The room itself when you walk in is amazing, but upstairs there is an ensuite that has a continuous running water issue in the pipe in the floor. You can hear it..... ALL NIGHT. I asked them to check and they say it is normal. I couldn't sleep a wink and closing the door did nothing.
Like I said, the place is amazing though, just stay away from that room.

Amazing experience staying at The Treasury! The rooms (and the ceiling heights!) were incredible, and the vibe of the whole hotel was relaxed and welcoming. Superb location, nice staff, amazing architecture (back to 150+ years ago - high ceiling, dark wood etc)
Very convoluted structUre, it’s 2 separate buildings with parking in between (under a park that separates buildings) it’s hard to find your room, reception, restaurant, parking, lifts, gym, everything.
Lighting inside the room was way less than enough. Had difficulty finding my stuff in the early morning.
Will I stay here again? No
Will I come again for a visit or nice meal/coffee? Definitely yes

The Casino itself is old and rundown, hence why it is being replaced I guess. Carpet and general interior needs a renovation.
Lack of selection with electronic gaming machines as well, heavily focused on dragon links, dollar storms and bullfighters.
Tables are still good, though hard to find a spot when it’s really busy.
Service was great, had some really friendly and professional dealers, particularly “Den” was great. Personable, fun and respectful all at once.
Beverage options extremely limited, same as catering options.
All in all a good experience but bring on the new casino.

I've been here many times. Great atmosphere and great food. The reason for the 4-star rating is due my recent experience (April 2022), where the meals all came out at different times, waiting at least 5 to 10 minutes per meal, meaning people started eating so as to not let the food get cold, whilst others watched. Other than that, perfect.

I recently visited the Brisbane casinos, and my experience was a bit of a mixed bag. While the service left much to be desired, the overall building, spacious rooms, and the abundance of slot machines and live gaming tables were impressive.
Let's start with the positives. The architecture and design of the Brisbane casinos are truly remarkable. The building itself is a sight to behold, with a blend of modern and classic elements that create a luxurious atmosphere. The spacious rooms were comfortable and well-appointed, providing a pleasant stay during my visit.
One of the highlights of the casinos was the extensive selection of slot machines. There were plenty of options to choose from, ensuring that even the most avid slot player would find something to enjoy. Additionally, the live gaming tables offered a variety of classic casino games, from blackjack to roulette, providing entertainment for all types of gamblers.
However, the service aspect left much to be desired. The staff seemed a bit disinterested and lacked the warmth and attentiveness one would expect in a high-end establishment. It was evident that the customer service could use some improvement, and this aspect of the experience did mar the overall visit.
Furthermore, it's worth noting that some of the gaming areas felt a bit dated. While the building itself was impressive, some of the equipment and furnishings in the gaming areas could use a refresh to match the modern aesthetic of the rest of the facility.
In summary, the Brisbane casinos offer a unique experience with their stunning building, spacious rooms, and a wide array of gaming options. However, the service quality and the dated aspects of the live gaming areas were disappointing. If you're primarily interested in the ambiance and gaming choices, it's worth a visit, but be prepared for a less-than-stellar service experience.

Took a visiting business colleague for breakfast at LAB. Service was great. Food was excellent. Coffee was hot and I just love the old worldly charm of the place. I feel as though I'm in a luxurious and charming early to mid 1900's Vienna hotel. High ceilings, thick walls and dark wood panelling. Some beautiful old hotels like this in Germany too. An elegance we seem to be missing being such a young country. Only my opinion and some may not agree with me and that is allowed.

As you look at the old building from the outside and the surroundings, it seems almost out of place. Inside also has an old school charm as i wonder if the lift will work or should I just take the stairs. The room is big, and the ceiling is high. I sink into the soft king bed with pillows full of clouds and snuggle into the blanket with the air-conditioning on. I fill up the bathtub with bubbles. As i sip on a glass of champagne. In this room, the windows are on the inside, so there is no view.
I give 5 stars to the night manager, who i think his name is Joe. For being very polite as i turned up late from a stressful day travelling.
Overall the staff were nice. Location is easy to walk to places or catch public transport. Parking was not hard to find.

Your attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond did not go unnoticed. From assisting with check-in to offering valuable local insights, your dedication to ensuring guests feel welcome is commendable.
Thank you for making my stay not just comfortable but also delightful. Your commitment to exceptional customer service reflects positively on The Treasury, and I look forward to returning in the future.

This casino is located in an old building, which is nice and interesting, but it needed to be renovated inside the building for a better atmosphere and feeling. The casino looks too old, low quality air-conditioning with limited table games. Most of the bars look not fancy and/or luxury. This is a place people come to spend money on and enjoy. Hence, it is necessary to evaluate Brisbane casino for sure to grab more people and more money!

What a great experience we had at the Treasury Hotel. We managed to get a great deal online for the weekend, and included parking, breakfast and $50 off our meals at night that we had at the Black Hide and The Fat Noodle over at the Casino.
Every staff member was professional, friendly and helpful, and their attention to detail for our anniversary was really appreciated. We have mentioned our anniversary a few times before at different venues, but there was never any recognition of the moment. We were given a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine on arrival, and our dinner reservation at the Black Hide was also acknowledged with the best seat in the house and complimentary dessert. Then each breakfast we were made to feel a little special as well. Not that we were expecting all of that, but it makes a difference to your stay when it happens.
The rooms were a decent size for 2 people but felt a lot larger due to the high ceilings. It would have been nice to be able to open the door onto the verandah for some fresh air and to be able to appreciate the view outside more, but I guess they are locked for safety reasons. The facilities in the room were pretty good and what you would expect for the price. The bed was really comfortable too. Some areas looked a little tired, perhaps just due to the age of the building, but overall the hotel was very clean, with housekeeping doing a great job in our room.
There was a real sense of nostalgia wandering the hallways and you could imagine what it was like in times past, as they've done a great job of keeping many of the original features and character of the building.
Despite all the construction going on with the new casino, we didn't hear any noise. This might be different though during the week or if you have a room on the eastern side or southern side.
The location is probably one of the best in the city, in my opinion. South Bank is easily accessible, the Botanic gardens are a short walk away, and it's 5 minutes to the mall.
Overall, we had a great experience here and will definitely go back. I'd highly recommend staying here.

Clean and does what a casino does .. win money. Good night here. Some signs for parking would be good. And the bar closes between 5am an 7am.

What an outstandingly high class property without the high end prices. Highly recommend to anyone who likes to enjoy the finer things in life, without the hefty, often out if reach price tag all conveniently located within walking distance of quality shopping stores as well as grocery and convenience stores. Public transport as well as e-scooters and e-bikes are also extremely conveniently located around the premises. Go and check it out for yourself. You will not be disappointed
Located on the South Bank of Brisbane, the Wheel of Brisbane is a popular attraction with 360 degree panoramic views. It is modeled after the London Eye and includes 42 capsules to fit the whole family. The ride lasts 12 minutes and features many of Brisbane's iconic attractions.
Great communication from staff and service was quick. We went around 5 times and enjoyed the ride. We didn't have to wait long as it wasnt crowded at all. A must do when your in the area. Cafes and restaurants near by and beautiful views of the city. Kids under age of 4 are free. Air conditioned inside. They even have a vip carriage. There is no free car parking near only across the road under the museum but costs $15 for 2hrs and can get very expensive the longer you stay. Alot of parking though and easy to direct from the car park to the ferris wheel.

Good experience, the wheel provides a beautiful, picturesque view of the Brisbane city, you can look far and wide from your cabin but it's a bit pricey though. We paid $65 for 2 adults n 2 kids under 11 and family photo. The wheel is located at very happening location. There is beautiful walking track on the south Bank where you can also ride electric bikes/scooters.

An iconic attraction in Brisbane, and some pleasant views of the river and Brisbane skyline from the wheel. The queues were relatively short at our time of visiting, and we had an entire cabin to ourselves. We circulated about 5 times and were on the wheel for about 10 minutes or so. Staff were helpful and it was an enjoyable experience. The optional photos are quite expensive ($28).

There is nothing you can see that you cannot see from the bridge already. They took us round and round 5 times. The windows were dirty. The commentary was quite low volume so we didn't hear the story at all. We had a toddler with us so I actually didn't hear almost anything 😂 We came at 21:30, there were no lines. The staff was friendly. But I don't recommend it.

On a nice day, views on the Wheel of Brisbane are phenomenal. A great place for tourists to capture the stunning sights of the river and the city. The ride is approximately 15 minutes. On the ride, an audio recording will play to describe any particularly interesting sites nearby. The capsules are air conditioned.

Nice activity to do during a hot summer day! The carriage has air con so you can cool down :) there are many great views to take in during the rotations on the wheel - a total of 5 rotations
You receive a guide as well as audio which explains the surrounding sights and attractions.

Similar to the opening of the wheel at Marina Bay, Singapore this wheel was also erected the same year of 2008.
Wheels come in various sizes and can be found at many locations, including traveling carnivals, amusement parks, and tourist destinations.
The enormous rides, which include enclosed cabins and rotate slowly, are now generally referred to as "observation wheels," whereas smaller versions like this one and includes portable models, are still called "Ferris wheels."
This particular Ferris Wheel is iconic to South Bank promenade positioned beside the Brisbane River for all to enjoy should the desire of appeal attract you to do so.
It provides 42 air conditioned capsules holding a total passenger capacity of 336.

Better visit at night, you can see the whole Brisbane view, I remember buy in the website will cheap $1 or $2 than on the spot, around 10mis or turns 5 times with voice introduction. And the room have air conditioner so don’t feel hot inside. However, when u come in you will be asked to take a photo in front of a green screen, then the staff will ask you if you want to pay a fee for that pics when u finish the wheel.

Beautiful views from the wheel of Brisbane. The price is a bit to high but the scene is lovely. The city from the banks of the river overlooking to the corporate buildings is amazing. Must visit if in Brisbane.

The Wheel of Brisbane offers a breathtaking view of the city skyline from above. Its slow, smooth rotation ensures a relaxed and enjoyable budget friendly experience for all ages.
For the views and memories it offers, the price is very reasonable. It's a great value for money.

We had a lovely time on the wheel. It was so cool to see the city at night from so high high up. And we were allowed to go around 5 times, definitely got our moneys worth. We went after dinner and there was no wait at all. Plus, there's a nice photo opportunity if you're looking for a momento.

Ever wanted to see Brisbane from a high vantage in middle of the city, this is the next best thing to a helicopter ride.
Highly recommend to try this at the time of sun set, magnificent colours, sceneries, and the wheel takes 4-5 rounds for one trip.
The staff is quite good as well, they don’t stack up people, if you come alone, you will have an gondola for yourself.
One of the best things to try in Brisbane city..

The wheel is definitely a good experience for tourists. The views from the top are great and the prices are fair. When we visited, a student discount was offered such that we only paid $18 per person. The wheel first makes a long stop at the top where you can enjoy the view. Then, we did another ~3 rounds without stopping. Brisbane is beautiful light up during the night such that I would say that both daytime and nighttime rides are worth it. Although I am usually not a friend of overpriced tourist wheels, this one offers good value for money!

Title: Soaring High with Spectacular Views - The Wheel of Brisbane
Our experience aboard The Wheel of Brisbane was nothing short of extraordinary, delivering breathtaking views and an unforgettable adventure.
🎡 **Panoramic Vistas:** The highlight of this attraction is, undoubtedly, the panoramic views of Brisbane. As the wheel gently ascended, the cityscape unfolded in a mesmerizing display, offering a 360-degree visual feast that's unparalleled.
🌇 **Scenic Sunset Ride:** Opting for a sunset ride added an extra layer of magic to our experience. The changing hues of the sky, combined with the glittering city lights, created a picturesque backdrop that felt like a scene from a postcard. A perfect setting for creating lasting memories.
🚉 **Strategic Location:** The Wheel of Brisbane's strategic location along the South Bank allows for stunning views of iconic landmarks such as the Brisbane River, the city skyline, and beyond. It serves as an excellent vantage point for capturing the beauty of this vibrant city.
👪 **Family-Friendly:**

The Wheel of Brisbane is a nice experience, but not a great experience. Enjoying a day with the kids, hey dad lets do that, 5 minutes and $60+ later we are going for a ride.. Its not about the way it is run or the way it looks itself, the simple fact is at the highest point you may look over a part of south bank but that is moldy roofs, or a side on view to tall business towers, not worth it.
Paul Zomer — Google review
A bit pricey but fun if you're with a group or it's the first time going. Make it worthwhile. We went in the evening and it was so worth the night walk and night views. They let us go a few extra rounds before they close. Be there 120 minutes before closing time though!

Had a great experience on The Wheel with my young child! Would definitely go on it again with kids or friends visiting. We went on a Sunday mid-afternoon and didn’t have to wait in line for tickets. I wasn’t prepared for the photograph they take at the start though and being produced with copies to buy once I stepped off!
Looks beautiful at night from the hotel window too 😍

Good views of the city. You can take drinks and snacks up into the wheel. Not sure why they print the photos they take - bit of a waste of paper, especially not knowing if people will pay the horrendous amount to take it.
This is a brilliant service which runs up the Brisbane river. We took the cat from south bank to north shore Hamilton. A 2 hour ticket was just over 4 dollars for an adult. This also offered a hop on off facility .

Great trip on the river around the city. Nice new and clean stations, friendly staff, clean and tidy ferry's.
BUT NO WAY TO BUY A TICKET.
You've got services, crew on board, lighting and power just put in a kiosk where you can purchase a go card. Extremely frustrating when you are travelling from interstate.
Failing that how about an app on ya fone

Bossy staff, only letting 8 people on the ferry at a time (although the ferry offered much more seats). We waited for half an hour and then still didn't get on the ferry, so we decided to take the bus instead. Bit disappointing.
Place was clean though and offered enough seats in the waiting area.

Having recently relocated to brisbane, we spent our morning traveling with the city cat . The staff were absolutely amazing , with the incredible Camille offering sunblock to hubby and me, so that we could continue standing at the front and soaking up the views. She even offered us a cold bottle of water that she brought from home, to help keep up hydrated.
The trip it self was very good, but the City cat staff make the trip an experience. ! Can’t wait for the next adventure with the city car :)

More often than not we encounter a friendly welcoming crew but it’s not an ideal mode of transport if you’re in a hurry and please please sort out the payment method. Every trip we see people boarding and deliberately not paying as well as tourists who want to pay and are obviously confused by the fare purchasing advice, which compared to other services is antiquated and cumbersome. Please introduce EFTPOS facilities, most people have this payment method on them.

Good spot to get a ferry up or down the river from South Bank. The terminal is well designed with plenty of space, even when it's busy. There is a ramp for accessibility and some seating. The whole process is pretty efficient. The views from the river are fantastic on a nice day.

The ferries were good and the crew were helpful. However, we were visiting Brisbane and we couldn't buy a ticket or get one through an app. We had a 10 minute walk to a spot to sell a ticket. Not good enough for the handicapped or seniors.Come on Brisbane this is 2023

This is a review of the CityCats rather than this particular CityCat terminal- which is all much the same.
Riding a CityCat is a must for any visitor to Brisbane and a surprisingly rewarding experience for locals.
This is the ultimate way to see the variety of Brisbane lifestyle, buildings and landmarks in a relatively inexpensive and easy to use service.
Depending on how much have, you can explore Brisbane from the quiet rescue residential area of St Lucia to the busy reaches of the Brisbane river around Hamilton.
The CityCat is part of the TransLink network so you use your GoCard or [or it’s soon to be introduced Smart Ticketing]
Simply tap on and ride the CityCat for the entire round trip.
For example, if you get on at South Bank, go upstream to the University of Qld, stay on the boat and then go right to Hamilton, stay on the boat and return to South Bank.
That round would trip will take about two hours and 40 minutes all up. The off-peak cost for an adult at the time of writing is $3.37.
But you can jump on and off and off and if you get back on without an hour it is considered as a continuation of your journey for the one fare.
The new generation of CityCats has a top deck that you ride on. Otherwise, the front or rear decks provide an exhilarating experience.
Full details of the CityCats are at the TransLink website or the Translink app

A spectacular view!
I would imagine that many proposals would of taken place at this fantastic scenic spot. It is a MUST SEE attraction if you live in, or are visiting Brisbane.
I have been up here numerous times and they have a cafe where you can order a coffee and cake and absorb nature at its finest or even bring a picnic blanket and a loved one and enjoy the sunset.
Great for motorbike riders such as myself as the ride up and down is fantastic and rather scenic but challenging at the same time.
They also have hiking trails for fitness enthusiasts.
Highly recommended!

Amazing lookout especially for magnificent and stunning sunrise and sunset with bird-eye view of Brisbane.
Many free car park just in front of the lookout and surrounding areas. No problem for car parking.
Having wheelchair access, benches to sit and rest, also big cafeteria if you want a coffee or breakfast with the view.
You can take a bus up here, or just 15 mins drive from the city.
Highly recommended, definitely a must while you are in Brisbane!

Best place to get the perfect view of the city. The premises do include some long range binoculars which operated by 2 dollar coins. However if you wanna take some nice clicks of the view, you might need a long range camera as a normal mobile cam gets obstructed by the tree range just beneath the look out.
However the a sunny day and looking out is one of the great things do in Brisbane, if you are visiting. Don’t forget to try the restaurant as well, its quite good.

Nice spot with a great view of Brisbane city. Limited parking at the top when it's busy and not a lot of space to turn around up there. If you can find a park at the top during peak times you're very lucky. Gets busy in the evenings and weekends. There's a little gift shop up there, ice cream shop / Cafe and toilets. There's also picnic spots and bush walking tracks on the drive up. The ride up is fun on a motorbike too!

This is a great lookout with an outstanding view of the sea and city. You can park in the car park and walk or hike some of the trails on the mountain. We went down a gravel trail and back up a paved one next to a nice stream. Plenty of birds including magpies and bush turkeys, too. The loop we did was about 5 to 6 km. Other walkers and hikers are friendly, and there are plenty of water fountains for people with dog bowls, too. There is a nice cafe at the top but I did not see any public toilets. Highly recommend this area.

A great spot with a magnificent view looking to Moreton Bay, Brisbane and down to the southern rangers. Travelling by car, the windy road takes us through residential areas; forest and then the Sunmit. With parking and a short stroll to the lookout, visitors can enjoy impressive views. Great way to see the natural local environment. We've hiked many forest areas and nothing has been like this. A real Australian forest in the city. Go to the top of the summit (we took a city bus) and hike down to the botanical gardens. It a bit of a walk, but mostly down hill. Have travelled on the vehicle ferry twice in the past 2 weeks and although we always find the office staff and checking in staff extremely helpful, both times we’ve been very disappointed with the attitude of some of the staff directing us onto the boat. Minjerribah, aka North Stradbroke Island, is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited on this planet 🌏! Some say it has the highest healing energy in South East Qld, and it is home to so much native wildlife and marine life. The beaches are white and sandy, the waters are cool and vibrantly turquoise, and the wind can be wild or balmy but it’s usually basking in sunshine. We’ve been coming here regularly for more than 30 years, and so hope to return for another 30 more!!!

I recently had the pleasure of taking the Sealink ferry to North Stradbroke Island, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. From start to finish, everything was seamless and enjoyable.
Firstly, the ferry itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The seating options were ample, and I had no trouble finding a spot with a great view. The crew members were friendly and professional, and they made sure everyone felt welcome and taken care of throughout the journey.
The crossing itself was smooth and scenic. As we sailed across Moreton Bay, I couldn't help but admire the breathtaking views of the water and the surrounding islands. It was a peaceful and relaxing ride, allowing me to truly unwind and enjoy the beauty of the area.
Upon arrival at North Stradbroke Island, I was impressed by the efficiency of the disembarkation process. The crew ensured a quick and organized exit, allowing passengers to start their island adventure without any delays.
Overall, I highly recommend the Sealink ferry to North Stradbroke Island. The experience was top-notch, and it made my trip to the island even more memorable. Whether you're a local looking for a quick getaway or a tourist wanting to explore the natural wonders of Queensland, the Sealink ferry is the perfect way to start your island adventure.

CFC caught the Minjerribah Ferry yesterday to North Stradbroke Island, to attend a meeting. Amazing service, actually departs and arrives on time. The journey is smooth and you have the opportunity to take in the breath taking views of the Redlands.

The ferry across was great, no complaints. The trip home was late, so not so good ended up over 30 minutes late. North Stradbroke was very relaxing, good camping spots and close to shops.

Fast little passenger ferry to and from Stradbroke island. 40 minutes or so. Bus goes from ferry terminal, Dunwich, to Point Lookout.
Try to get off the ferry quickly to get a space on the bus.
We didn't and had to wait around half an hour on the next one. Nice people on the ferries!

Easy booking, value for money and an excellent service and very easy travel experience, staff were very professional and knew exactly how to load the vessel expertly. Flexible with needing to change a booking and very prompt and helpful with any communications. We had a fabulous time on Minjerribah (Stradbroke island). Thank you Sealink

This was our first trip to Stradbroke Island in nearly 50yrs!!! The trip over on the ferry was great and we enjoyed a good coffee & croissant served by really friendly staff as we relaxed in the cafe until time to disembark. We enjoyed our visit to Brown Lake - spine to a local lady about the origins of what the place meant to them (birthing place) Enjoyed the stroll along the beach & the fish & chips lunch. We even witnessed 3 whales playing out in the ocean heating south!! Great day trip - will return again - hopefully not so long between our next trip

Yesterday we avoided Brisbane’s heat with a day trip to Minjerribah. We took the car so we could have a good look and enjoy the island. The ferries were great - on time, friendly staff, well stocked cafe and clean facilities. Thank you Sealink! We had a wonderful day

We had a day trip to Straddie and this is probably the 3rd time we have been there.
Each time we have thoroughly enjoyed our journey, thanks to Sealink.
I have been on 2 different types of Vessel carriers from SeaLink and in my opinion the one with the vehicle ramp has a much better lounge area. Highly recommend the authorities to have more such luxurious carriers.
Having said that, the old ones are good too.
The extra courteous , ever smiling staff on board makes the experience even more enjoyable.
The Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is a wildlife refuge tucked up alongside the Brisbane River in Fig Tree Pocket, southwest of Brisbane. The sanctuary features koalas sleeping in gumtrees and hand feeding kangaroos, as well as an endangered cassowary living in captivity. The sanctuary also has a zoo housing Australian native animal species, including crocodiles and reptiles.
Took the All-Star tour today at Lone Pine Koala sanctuary and it was exceptional! Our guide and Zookeeper Nick was both knowledgeable and friendly and made this tour one of a kind! We were able to handle owls like a falconer, see hundreds of Koalas and pet them and later get our picture holding them. We also were able to hold a few of the reptiles and feed kangaroos out of our hands. We topped the tour off by feeding the two platypus at the sanctuary. What a morning!! Highly recommended!

Great place for a visit. Professional knowledgeable staff. Animals looked healthy and well looked after. 2-3 hours was sufficient for us to see the animals and 2 shows. Ice cream and coffee from the cafe were excellent. We would recommend a visit with kids. Pricing and difficulty of access to facility aren't great but acceptable.

Loved this place! Experience was amazing. For very cheap a few friends and I managed to have an amazing time and experience the beauty of Australian animals really closely. Spent around 5 and a half hours just exploring. Definitely a 10/10 day plan for families and groups of friends, I 100% recommend the animal shows and the $15 photo packs. Also, take lots of photos! Overall a fantastic place, though I do recommend packing your own lunch (food options are unsurprisingly pricey). Coffee was nice though.

It’s a lovely place to interact with Kangaroos 😍 You can feed them, take a photo with a koala (paying an extra fee) and see other animals shows. The sanctuary is large, so save at least half day to enjoy it. There’s a bus coming from Brisbane city that stops inside the sanctuary. It’s quite convenient!

Nice place to spend 4-5 hours. If you are into koalas and kangaroos and other animals related to Australia and Farms this is your place while you are in Brisbane. There are few other activities and guides tours and shows also available. You can get really good knowledge about the species.
Feeding Kangaroo is a fun activity you can do here.
Only less than one star for the price tag. It's a bit expensive and you have to pay for other additional activities for one time visiting tourists.
And if you are planning on visiting twice just go for an annual pass.
Easy parking, restaurants available. Public and chartered ferry transportation

Nice little sanctuary with lots of koala’s. The yard with the kangaroos also is very nice. The rest of the zoo is a bit questionable. Especially if you want to see the nocturnal animals and other animals like wombats. They are not visible at all.
Pictures taken with Koala is actually very nice experience. Staff is very friendly and not rushed.

My visit to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary was nothing short of enchanting. Nestled in serene surroundings, it provided a delightful escape into the world of Australian wildlife. It was my first encounter with koalas and kangaroos, and the experience left me in awe of these iconic creatures. The opportunity to observe them up close was truly mesmerizing.
One of the highlights of my visit was the raptor flight demonstration. Watching these majestic birds take to the sky was a breathtaking sight, and I was captivated by their grace and agility.
The sheep dog show was another standout experience. It offered a unique glimpse into the world of sheep herding and showcased the remarkable skills of these intelligent dogs.
The sanctuary itself was very well managed, with informative signage and helpful staff who were eager to answer any questions. However, despite my excitement, I was disappointed not to catch a glimpse of the elusive platypus.
Overall, my time at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary was unforgettable. It's a must-visit destination for anyone seeking to immerse themselves in the beauty of Australian wildlife and nature.

Absolutely enjoyed our time here, one of the most memorable experiences. It’s definitely a koala sanctuary & one worth supporting.
The lines can be quite long for photos with the animals, best to book online to avoid delays, it helps slightly & really friendly staff everywhere all around.
There’s a cafe & toilets throughout the sanctuary, with birds & lizards walking around freely; so watch out where you step.
We booked the Mirimar cruise to & from the sanctuary, the best way to get there in our opinion, while enjoying the narrative & some history of what we pass by along the river.

A fantastic place to visit, the boat trip there was fascinating, a history tour of the river. Lone pines was a revelation, I did not know initially if 3 hours would be too long, it was not, there was loads to see and learn. The exhibitions and shows were great, all very well done. Loved to see the animals and to feed the kangaroos was a highlight. Do it, you will not regret it.

A nice way of spending a couple of hours if you're around Brisbane. I find the tickets are a bit pricey (almost $50/adult) and there was more interaction with the animals than I was expecting. I personally don't like the "pay to hold or feed a koala" thing. But other than that it was lovely seeing the kangaroos, koalas and other animals.
Cristina Renedo Williams — Google review
I recently had the most incredible day at Lone Pine Sanctuary. The chance to get up close with Australia's wildlife, from cuddling koalas to feeding kangaroos, was a dream come true. Not to mention, meeting the adorable wombats and porcupines added an extra layer of delight. The well-maintained habitats and informative shows added to the experience.
If you're planning to visit, make sure you book the cuddling koala experience online to avoid disappointment. Whether you're an animal lover or just looking for a peaceful escape, Lone Pine is a must-visit. It's a place where nature and education meet for an unforgettable adventure.

Amazing!!! We loved every minute of our time here, and will be back often! The bird show was better than expected, and the koala holding and picture was worth every penny. But my absolute favorite part was hanging out with and feeding the kangaroos!!! They are so friendly and laid back. Made my life!!! I highly recommend this place. It’s a must do if you’re here! Make sure to book your hold and touch experiences BEFORE the day you go. It fills up fast!

Had an absolutely AMAZING day!! We decided to go all in on the platinum package and it was 4000% worth it!!
The whole team was super lovely, we had Rachel as our guide who told us so many amazing things about the animals and information about conservation. There is clearly a lot of love for every single one of the animals.
The site is surprisingly wheelchair accessible, there's still a few lumps and bumps that need figuring out but we were able to do everything and the staff figured out any problems with no fuss.
We were treated to food from the cafe which was generous and delicious. Got lots of photos! I think one of the great things about doing the package deal was going round all the animals rather than just getting distracted by the koala's... Which is very easy to do!
No matter tiny lizards up to huge birds and kangaroo's everything is looked after and cared for. Loved it!!

Wonderful experience all around. We went first on a weekday for the koala and raptor encounters which were great. The kangaroo area was also really cool.
Went back a few days later for the nocturnal tour which was incredible. Emily was very fun and kept things lively while we waited for the previous group to finish. The staff as a whole were extremely knowledgeable and had so much information on all the animals as we saw them in their most active time of day. Any other zoo or sanctuary I’ve been to you see these animals sleeping. On the nocturnal tour they give you thermal cameras to find them, red torches to illuminate the animals without disturbing them which were also great for taking pictures. The animals were active, feeding and very interested in the tour group.
Very cool experience.
10/10 would recommend.

Highly recommend the Koala Discovery Tour. You get a VIP behinds-the-scenes tour of the Koala care, including a brief discussion of their care, food, and habits. You get to first go into the Koala paddocks and take pictures up close and personal near the Koalas. Then you get to have your picture taken with a Koala as well. It was great experience and well worth the time and fee. You have to buy these tickets in advance online - it is highly unlikely that you can buy them at the park.
FYI - the Discovery Tour fee does not include the park entrance fee.

This is a very good zoo that allows adults and children to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the gifts of nature. And through interaction with animals, it can increase the relationship between adults and children, and enrich their understanding and knowledge of nature. There are a lot of koalas here, so you can see many kinds of koalas sleeping in different positions, which are very cute. There are also a lot of kangaroos. You can interact with the kangaroos very closely, even feed them, and lie with them. They will not attack people and are very friendly. It is highly recommended to spend a day here to experience the journey with animals and nature, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Magnificent visit with our 7 month old. We interacted with dozens of kangaroos, just bathing in the sunshine. Definitely worth reserving the koala picture so that you can pet one! The gift shop is reasonably priced and all staff are genuinely interested in your experience. You can even watch dozens of koalas sleep while you eat!!

We loved it here, it is nice and open. It wasn't too busy when we arrived. The highlight was definitely feeding the kangaroos. The shows are short and sweet, informative and entertaining. We ended up purchasing membership and I can't wait to go back to hold a koala!

Very beautiful sanctuary but a little too far off the city. Best way to reach is to catch a bus from Brisbane central. If you love the cozy hugging koalas, this place will give you a beautiful experience.

We spent a week in Australia and drove past many road signs warning us about potential livestock along the roads, but we saw nothing.
As it was our last day here, we decided we needed to get a wildlife fix, and this place wasn't far from our motel.
The place was very busy, which wasn't unexpected, being school holidays, but in this case we were travelling without kids and didn't enjoy having to dodge thousands of wild animals at loose.
The park animals though, were well behaved and we enjoyed being able to get up close to them. The lunch meals were quick and simple and plenty of options for any diet. Just don't turn your back as the birds will steal it from the table in front of you.
On reflection, I would happily visit again, but outside school holidays.

Been here twice already! It's well worth the money! There's a section to walk amongst and feed the kangaroos, they are very chilled out and don't mind making new friends! Also lots of koalas around in the trees, mainly sleeping or eating but that's what they do to be fair. Price seems to have gone up to $54 from $49 but might be due to the summer season.

This was my ultimate bucket list!! The staff was so amazing and knowledgeable about all of the animals! Thank you all for being so wonderful and patient with your guests! This is a 100 out of a 10 for a must do. Even if you are close to Brisbane, it's so worth the visit🐨❤️🦘❤️

I’m glad I didn’t buy any kangaroo food as none of them seemed to be interested in anything. I felt bad for them. Most of them were huddled together in a section where they could be seen, but not touched. Other animals didn’t seem to be doing well either. I was able to get a chicken schnitzel and chips for $13. I understand wanting to take kids to a zoo, but as an adult I didn’t enjoy it. I wouldn’t return.

This is a Koala Sanctuary rather than a zoo - so whilst there are other species there, these are not the focus of exhibits. But if you love Koala, look no further. This place is a gem. It is clear that the staff are knowledgeable and really care about the animals in their charge, and the environment was beautiful.
We had a behind the scenes guided tour - a ‘Discovery Tour’ - and were guided by Elle. She was friendly and a perfect guide, sharing her knowledge and information at the right level for a diverse group. She was organised and kept us all on time and in line.
Whilst there, Elle noticed one of the elderly Koala had sneezed and produced nasal discharge. She immediately flagged this on the radio and a more senior colleague arrived within 60 secs to give the Koala some support. It was lovely to see.
We also got to hold a Koala, and it was evident that this is approached carefully and considerately. The animals were not stressed and are looked after by their keepers to make sure they were happy and safe. A lovely experience which we will never forget. Thanks

Great little place, but it's so expensive. Although I understand that everything is expensive these days. But the food there is very, very, pricey.
Great staff, though, we bought a koala encounter, barn experience, and snake photo.
The koala encounter is a pat and self photos. The staff member there also gave us some information about koalas and we got some very good photos. Barn experience was great! Highly recommend, staff were informative and great with the children. Kids loved it, but watch the goats! They will eat the bags the food comes in! 😅 It is best to buy things the day before you go, buy them online to ensure you get a spot. Oh and see the Roos in the morning, they might want to eat more, we went in the afternoon, and they were probably a bit overfed by then. We didn't see any animals in the nocturnal area except a tree kangaroo, but that was a possibility that was mentioned. Free flight bird show was great, we loved it!
Overall, great experience, and we really enjoyed our day.

It's an amazing place. There are hundreds of koalas. You can observe them up close, learn more about them, hold them. There are also free roaming kangaroos you can feed and a few other animals. This is the place to go to if you are visiting Australia and would like to see Australian animals.

Must go. Very close to Brisbane. Workers told us the koala holding doesn’t usually sell out until 11 am. I would buy entry tickets ahead of time and get there by 8:30 to make sure you can hold the Koalas at a good time. The public bus stops in the parking lot. Workers were friendly. Over 100 koalas and lots of pettable kangaroos. My girl really wanted to hold a koala and it was impossible at Steve’s zoo without booking weeks ahead of time. Plus the entry and holding are cheaper here. We went here and the zoo and both were amazing. They are doing lots of good work here. Please support them. You should figure at least 4 hours here. Will return. Koala holding was only about 30 seconds but didn’t feel rushed. The workers were nice and very happy to take cell phone pics. Plus it comes with a printed photo.

It’s a great place! Lots of koalas, kangaroos, and wallabies. Exotic birds, reptiles, and crocs were all great to see. Worth a trip!
The system for booking koala holding could be improved as went 2 different days but unable to book experience because tour buses took all the slots.

Lone Pine you have the most beautiful & kind hearted staff I’ve ever met & that’s an understatement. From the moment I arrived & helping me with my technophobe booking issue (absolutely embarrassing on my behalf) they were able to get myself & daughter in to see & hold our very first koala - what a beautiful memorable moment that was!
I really can’t thank you ladies enough & how much it meant X
Even throughout the day everyone was so naturally accomodating & genuinely loving the place that they call “work” ~ seeing your team interact with a cheeky Koala whilst cleaning out its home was an absolute highlight too!
Will certainly be back & thank you for such a beautiful mum & daughter experience that will be with me for years to come X

If you are in Brisbane, definitely need to visit! This was one of the highlights of our trip. The koalas are just so cute! We spent a majority of the day hanging with the koalas or sitting with the kangaroos. The best time to checkout the kangaroos are later in the day when the sun is not as hot. More of them were lounging out in the grassy areas and it was less crowded. Make sure to buy the kangaroo feed earlier as they stop selling them at some point.

it was a pleasant surprise. People are very accessible and helpful. The people at the entrance were very friendly. They even made a call to order a taxi, which was not their obligation. I'm very grateful for that. and the park is fabulous. I loved kualas and there are many everywhere.
Go to the park but go early to spend all full date there....❤️❤️

Wonderful sanctuary.
From an ethical standpoint I only visit sanctuary not zoos , I was so happy to see SO many koalas.
Some things that need addressing as I think they may cross the line slightly, of course understanding the sanctuary still needs to make money in order to help the animals, that is why the holding a koala photos etc. are a thing. The kangaroo zone that the public could not enter was small, there was lots of kangaroos crowded in there and I can’t help but feel with the massive size of the enclosure in general it could definitely be made bigger. I understand there were more huts around for them to go in but these are small and did not provide anywhere for them to hide only not be touched. More signs and rangers around educating people on kangaroo behaviour, as there were some children treating them like family dogs, not respecting their body language.
The sanctuary obviously does incredible work, all the staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely gift shop where you can buy stuffed toy koalas and many more animals.
