My rating is for the food court management.. I visited the mall today. There's a token system where we need to pre purchase tokens worth 300 and use them against food at the food court. The lady issuing the token cancelled the transaction on the EDC machine- my gpay payment was successful.. And they denied me the tokens said my amount will be refunded as their EDC machine failed to print the transaction. Sriram the manager/owner of the food court operations wasn't helpful either. Insisted on me paying again and said tomorrow they will check if they have received the payment n refund me my money. Though the taste was good.. The first hand experience was very bad.. It's a pity they have limited options which the customers still prefer to use.. But these elements shoo the users away..

Nrupatunga Betta is a scenic hill in Hubli that offers breathtaking views of the city. It is a popular tourist spot with a well-developed park for children and a casual restaurant serving delicious local food. The hill provides an ideal location for morning and evening walks, offering stunning sunset views. Although the view from the peak is not very clear, it's still worth visiting as it's one of the most favorite places in Hubli.
🌄 Nrupatunga Betta - Summit Serenity and Nature's Embrace! 🌿🌅
Embarking on the journey up Nrupatunga Betta is like ascending into the sky, a communion with nature's heartbeat. The panoramic views unfold like a masterpiece, each step a breath-stealing revelation. Reaching the summit is euphoric, a dance with the wind and a front-row seat to the sky's changing canvas. 🎨
Embraced by lush greenery, the hill offers a tranquil escape from the bustling world below. It's a sanctuary where the breeze whispers and leaves rustle, creating a symphony of serenity. Sunrise or sunset, the spectacle from Nrupatunga Betta is a dazzling symphony of colors, an awe-inspiring display of nature's wonders. 🌅🍃
Now, brace yourself for the adventure. The trek is a thrilling dance with the terrain, rewarding with breathtaking views and a sense of accomplishment. However, let's talk about the 6 pm closing time and the rock-strewn approach road—a challenge like no other. This road isn't just rocky; it's a rollercoaster of bumps and jolts, demanding nerves of steel. It's not for the faint-hearted, but those who brave it will find the beauty atop well worth the rough ride. 🏞️💪🚧
Despite the bone-rattling road conditions, Nrupatunga Betta is an ideal spot to chill, especially during sunset. The mesmerizing hues and serene ambiance create the perfect setting for unwinding. It's not just a hill; it's a wild ride into nature's embrace, conquering both the challenges and the breathtaking views. 🌄🌇

Nice place to jog especially in the early morning. Welll maintained entrance fees is just ₹20. Quite amusing environment around. Loved it
Venkatesh LS — Google review
It's a nice place. But somehow huballi has failed to maintain it. They take an entrance fee of Rs.20. So they should be maintaining this place well. Cleanliness is fine. But aesthetically the place has to be made more attractive. I hope they would someday improve this. It's filled with couples everywhere on almost every single day. Hence all those who are single, just walk and look straight 😜 you will not feel left out.

Unkal Lake is a popular tourist spot located on the outskirts of Hubli, known for its large size spanning across 200 acres and scenic beauty. The lake boasts of a waterfront park where visitors can enjoy boating and watch sunsets with family and kids. Additionally, it features Swami Vivekananda's statue situated in the middle of the lake.
At a distance of 6 km from Hubli Junction Railway Station, Unkal Lake is a stunning lake situated at the Unkal locality of Hubli. It is one of the must include places in Hubli Tour Packages.
Unkal Lake is a beautiful picnic spot and a major source of drinking water for the twin cities of Hubli & Dharwad. About 110 years old, the lake covers an area of nearly 200 acres. This site is renowned as the 'Karma Bhoomi' of Shri Siddappajja, who was born in 1859. He eloped from his home at the age of 14 to find a Guru and resided in Unkal Mailarlings Temple. Shri Siddappajja died in 1921 and since then a 'Jatre' is organized at this site.
This picturesque water body is surrounded by a lush garden that mesmerizes travelers coming here in search of peace and serenity. This is among the most popular places to visit in Hubli. Most people visit this lake during evening times as it offers an enchanting sunset view. Another attraction of this lake is the statue of Swami Vivekananda that has been placed in the middle of the lake. This is a famous family picnic spot where the locals are found strolling in the park and enjoy boating in the serene waters of the lake.

Great place for walkers and jogger’s . We could only make 1/4th round of the entire lake . According to the security of the lake the entire periphery of the lake is about 6.5 kms . The lake closes at 07:00 pm . If you are planning to cover the entire round then have ample time before you take the full circle.
The lake is just next to Hotel naveen . The pavement have been well laid . There are lights out along the track so that the move may be smooth . There is a sun set view point at the enterance at a heightened location . There is an eatery/restaurant at the entrance where you can grab snack before you set out for walking . Entrance fee is 10/- and parking fee is also 10/- . If you are in Hubballi and not sure where to go in the evening then this is a good place to explore .

Nice place to enjoy cool evening breeze sitting by the side of the lake... But the garden adjacent to it lacks maintenance... Everything there is rusty and shows lack of maintenance...Two viewpoints are there...view of the lake and sunset is stunning from the towers...Entry fee is Rs.10 for adults and Rs.5 for kids... Ample amount of parking space both for two and four wheelers available in front of the gate...it is paid parking... But if you don't want to pay you can park your car by the side of main road...

Extremely huge walking circuit around the lake and good atmosphere. Closes sharp at 6:30pm. Very nice place to go for a long walk.

I am a resident of Jaipur and have been visiting lake for long walks ever since childhood. I have seen people from all walks of life come to lake for morning and evening walks. I like to walk the talk here with friends and family. The environment of the lake is very conducive for deep introspection. Watching the sunrise or sunset gives me an exhilarating experience and makes me feel one with God and Nature. Of late you can see the water shimmering like silver if you go around 5:30 or 6:00 pm and makes the whole area look so calm and serene and beautiful. At the other end of the lake there is now a Buddha Park with a very beautiful calm and serene statue of Lord Buddha in sitting pose. At the entrance you will find the lake club, restaurant, lots of vendors selling eatables, and a big play zone for kids where you can enjoy with kids. Also, there are ducks in the lake which you can feed or go for a boat ride. There are plenty of things to do here. It has become an activity centre for people. All in all an enjoyable experience.

Unkal lake is spread across 200 acres of land. Center of the lake is situated the statue of Swami Vivekananda which is the prime attraction of the lake. The walking pathways are not well maintained. There is a temple near by. The lake itself is not very clean. Plastic and Pooja items are seen floating. Needs to be maintained. People shouldn't be allowed to throw waste into this lake.

It has a play area for kids and a well maintained garden with lush green lawns This lake used to supply drinking water in early sixties till early eighties There was a pump house below the lake near lingraj Nagar which was demolished recently. This lake has airport in its vicinity The landing planes are treat to watch flying close over this lake. There are plans to restart boating and water sports. A statue of swami vivekananda is installed on an small island in middle of this lake. This lake covers an area of 10 acres appx.

You need permission to go here and also try to go before 5pm.

Beautiful place. One must need permission from the KPCL to reach here. The view of the river flowing is a Man made and not a natural one. Must visit for the view and the Sunset.

Indeed, visiting this place is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, offering breathtaking views of nature's wonder. However, to access this beautiful destination, it's essential to obtain permission from KPCL (Karnataka Power Corporation Limited) in Ambikanagar, Dandeli.
Once permission is granted, you'll be rewarded with a mesmerizing viewpoint of River Kali as it flows through a deep V-shaped gorge. The river gracefully curves around 90 degrees first towards the right and then towards the left, creating a truly awe-inspiring sight that showcases the raw power and beauty of nature.

The ISKCON Sri Sri Krishna Balaram Temple is a peaceful Hindu temple that houses four deities and is renowned for its cultural events and dining facility. Although it was established in 2014, this religious center offers an intimate setting for devotees of Lord Krishna and Pravu Nitai to experience a serene environment while enjoying kirtan. Despite its small size, the temple provides a fantastic ambiance that everyone can appreciate.
One of the best Iskcon Temples, some part under construction. All Prabhujis are very humble and have divine grace. Totally ecstatic experience. Felt Divine Krishna Consciousness.

Nice temple
One of the largest Krishna temple in North Karnataka has been constructing here, which will be finished approximately within 2 years.
One thing I don't like about these people(gurus) here is that they only insist on believing Krishna, but for me I think one is free to choose his own deity, so I like Shiva but I also believe in others god's.
So that's -ve aspect.
Other things to consider ( mera opinion)
> Ramakrishna Ashrama is in better position compared to others because it gives freedom of choice, I like going there and praying because there I find gurus are truly insist on personal growth as well as they give sense of pride as Indian ( because I belive in SWAMI VIVEKANANDA teachings)
And it'll develop sense of nationalism.
Anyway it's your choice, ultimately our Indian culture matters

Shree Renukaa Yallamma Devi Temple
Hindu temple
Sights & Landmarks
Sacred & Religious Sites
Hindu site dedicated to the goddess Yellamma, with an annual procession drawing crowds of followers.
Adishakthi Yallamma.. More number of devotees to the Yallamma goddess's.. Powerful god.
Maintenance around the temple was not good. Don't expect much. Toilets and drinking water is not available. Only one public toilet I have seen there. Need to be hygienic. And lot of improvements needed to the devotees..

Our visit to the temple was good. After Navalgund to Yellamma gudda the road is not in great condition. A good amount of parking space is available near the temple. We need to walk a bit. It was our long wish to visit the temple and seek the blessing of Goddess Renuka Yellamma which got fulfilled after our previous unsuccessful visit 2 years ago.

🙏 Divine Bliss in Savadatti: A Sacred journey to Shree Renukaa Devi Temple 🌸 👇
➡️ We recently visited Shree Renukaa Yallamma Devi Temple and had an amazing experience. The darshan of the goddess was truly awe-inspiring, and the climate during my visit in June was perfect for worship. 🌸🙏
➡️ The temple is conveniently located close to Savadatti Main City, just a 10 minute drive away. This proximity makes it easy to find accommodations and restaurants in the city. There are plenty of options available, and you will also find a Reliance Trends Shop, Medical Stores, ATMs, Hospitals, Stationery shops, and the main Savadatti bus stand in the city, catering to various needs. 🛍️🏧🛍️🚍
➡️ One of the highlights of the temple is its spacious car and bike parking facility. It provides ample space for devotees to park their vehicles conveniently. However it is crucial to be aware of some management issues regarding car parking. When it comes to parking charges, it is recommended to negotiate and bargain due to the lack of efficient management in this area. 💰🤌
➡️ I had the privilege of experiencing the divine darshan of the goddess. It's important to note that there are entry passes available for darshan, with a direct darshan pass priced at Rs.100. However, if you are willing to join the longer queue, there are no charges. To ensure a smooth experience, I would advise purchasing the pass only from the main ticket counter and not from un-authorized individuals or touts. 🛑 😎
➡️ Along the temple route, there are several garland shops and food eateries, making it convenient for devotees to offer their prayers and grab a bite to eat. Additionally, there are short stay options available in the temple route, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the divine atmosphere for a longer duration. 😇🙏👋
Overall, my visit to the Shree Renukaa Yallamma Devi Temple was a delightful experience. The temple offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with the divine and experience the peaceful ambiance. With its close proximity Savadatti main city and the availability of various amenities, it ensures a convenient and comfortable visit for devotees. 🙏😇😀

I asked Devi for something, she blessed me with what I wished and I was thrilled to visit the temple again to fulfil my vow. Devi's devine vibes can just be felt and cannot be explained. Honestly, temple premises is not well maintained, it is crowded, queuing system is pathetic and against many more worldly issues Devi shines with her immaculate power.
* Don't go on a Tuesday or Friday if you want crowd free visit
* Hard to find good food
* 100 Rs special ticket is just half relaxing
* Washrooms hard to find
* Good parking options even for buses and other heavy vehicles
* Good roads
* 40 Rs entry ticket to Village
* Lot of shops around temple selling Pooja items
* No good stay nearby
Note: All these observations are based on the date December-2022, may change with time.
Request to devotees: Such places are serene, devine and pious. Please try to keep it clean and maintain descipline to keep the order of such great place.

Visited on 9th May. Road from kolhapur is better via Sankeahwar.
You should take bath at backwater of malprabha dam instead at soundatti as water is not good at soundatti
Yalama Mata Temple is now barricaded.
There is general/free line which offer a distant view of Idol. When you approach temple you first reach free Darshan line. There is paid Darshan line with less queue and closer view of Idol. Paid Darshan costs rs. 100

Powerful Goddess Ellamma Devi.
Actually Raye is for cleaness only.
Very very poor maintenance, people spit gutkua everywhere, during weekends it takes nearly 2 ro 3 hours for Darshan.
Temple management should take action for cleaness...

Very powerful goddess and a very religious place in Karnataka, where a lot of people visit here from all over Karnataka who knows the value of the place and the power of the goddess..
The drawback is the place is very unhygienic, people spit gutka and a lot of dust not maintained well... Vish they atleast maintained the religious a little clean instead of keeping it soo unhygienic. Also you see a lot of ladies scam you in the name of God and they don't let you move forward untill you get fooled untill n unless you speak back and move fast. Look upto all these while visiting here.

Kittur Fort is an archaeological site that houses the remains of an old fortress, along with well-maintained garden areas and a small museum showcasing ancient artifacts, armour, weapons and other items used by soldiers. The fort played a significant role in India's freedom fights, as it was bravely fought and defended by Rani Chennamma against the British. Located just 1 km from the highway, this quiet fort is easily accessible with ample parking nearby.
Must go.. Fort almost gone.. But its a photogenic fort. You'll get amazing pics.. There is museum here which was so good maintenance.. I think there is no drinking water and toilets at all. Very nice place.

Historic, the ruins of Kittur Fort take you back in time, reminding you of the struggles of Indian rulers of yore against the British. The surround are calm and filled with greenery.
was held by the Desai marathas of Kittur, as well as Rani Chennamma, a lingayat woman warrior of Karnataka who revolted against the British in 1824. Kittur reached its zenith during the Mallasarja Desai. The place has a Nathapanthi matha in police line area, and temples of Maruti, Kalmeshwara, Dyamavva and Basavanna, the last named a later Chalukyan monument now completely renovated.

We visited the place at 10 am in December. The climate was pleasant. Kittur fort has the archeology office of Dharwad region. A very well maintained museum is inside. It has portraits of Rani chennamma , swords and sculptures around the region. Some of the sculptures are placed outside in the garden. A very pleasant visit to the museum. Another major attraction is the ruins of the palace. It's a large palace with nameplates which is very helpful . Wash room is available for ladies and gents. If it's locked you need to request security to open it.
It's recommended to visit the place to get inspired from the courage, life and bravery of Rani chennamma..!

Calm, well maintained fort with very less crowd. Just 1 km from the highway and worth visiting. You get to know about the history and freedom fights. There is museum where you can see all the ancient artifacts, armour, weapons and other items used by the soldiers. You can also know more about Rani Chennamma, a freedom fighter of our country and her history.
The fort is in ruins and was the fort where Rani Chennamma bravely flight and defended against the British. The place is easy to access and there is ample parking nearby. There is no local guide so you do not get to know more about the place.

Here is the unique thing is Polar star vision that is amazing.
I have visited the museum and i have seen some sculptures of their empire, statues of god, ancient swords and some equipments were used in the war.
I really enjoyed it.

The glory of the fort dates back 200 years ago when Rani Chennamma fought against the British. Main attraction of the fort is the ruined palace.
The palace was a two storied structure built predominantly with stones. We can see some wooden structures but main material used is stone. It's said that British destroyed the palace but the govt department has preserved the area quite well.
You can see the Darbar hall, rest rooms, bath rooms, kitchen, wells, secret discussion room, little garden and a swimming pool as well. All are well preserved and marked.
There is also a view point where erstwhile people used to see Dhruva Nakshatra.
The entry to the fort is free of cost. There is enough parking which is also free.

Rani Chennamma is an inspiration to all the women out there. The word Queen was just made for her and braveness. It's not easy to make and hold a kingdom during those era. Women nowadays should have her courage and boldness. The architecture of the place was outstanding, but those stupid government officials are not maintaining this wonderful place. It's full of dust and unhygienic. Must visit place! 🫶🏼

You should visit the place. Its on NH4 highway. You will be mesmerized when you walk around the remains of old place of the great Queen "Rani Chennamma" of Kittur. The way the people lead their lives during those days can be assumed atleast a bit by looking at the ruins of the fort. The construction materials have stood the test of time for 400 years and still are strong enough on this day, when we compare the structure with today's buildings we can say our ancestors were smart enough than us even though they did not have the technological access like we have today. A big salute to them 👏 🙌 🙏

Small but beautiful ground fort. It's decently maintained and we were able to walk through all parts. Each part is labeled but it would have been great to have a short description of that area. The place is dilapidated but still feels beautiful. There was a local school chorus singing songs about Kittur Queen Chenamma when we visited and it felt very patriotic and made it feel like walking through a movie.

Dudhsagar Falls, situated at the Goa-Karnataka border, is a 3-streamed waterfall that derives its name from its milky waters. It measures around 310 meters in height and is divided into four layers that eventually merge into the Mandovi River. As one of the tallest waterfalls in India, it is a popular tourist attraction and an ideal destination for nature lovers to revel in its lush green glory during monsoon season.
Beautiful place. Better to visit during/after monsoons otherwise everything is "red". ( oh , and beware the monkeys. They are adorable but playful and may want your purse/bag or sunglasses)

Private jeeps are the only way to go up. They are always on tight schedule and will give you only 90 min of time at water fall after reaching at parking place. 90 min is sufficient if you want to do some photography. But if you are a swimmer then negotiate the extra time charge in advance.

Dudhsagar Falls in Goa is a breathtaking natural wonder that leaves visitors in awe. The majestic cascade of white water plunging down from a height creates a mesmerizing spectacle. The falls are surrounded by lush greenery, adding to the pristine beauty of the location. The sight and sound of the gushing water create a sense of tranquility and serenity. While the journey to Dudhsagar Falls can be adventurous, the destination is well worth it. Whether you choose to admire the falls from a distance or take a refreshing dip in its pools, Dudhsagar Falls offers a memorable and enchanting experience for nature lovers.

The safari ride will thrill you by it's adventure.
Good job the forest team to maintain the place clean and respectful.
Please don't remove your life jacket if you're entering in to falls as I could be dangerous because of its depth.

It’s a journey to get here and you should count at least 4 hours for this trip (excluding the journey from the hotel to the park entrance which in our case took 2 hours in each direction from our hotel in north Goa)
Overall we left the hotel at 7am and returned at 4pm
Getting the mandatory Jeep to go in the track to reach the waterfall is a very disorganized process (it takes roughly 30 minutes and cost 700rs + 40rs for life jacket) / we heard that you can skip this part by booking online.
Once in the Jeep, count 30-45 minutes to get through the checkpoint (100rs for government) and reach the Jeep parking.
Then around 10 minutes walk (difficult for kids and old people) to cross very natural places before reaching the waterfalls.
You can swim in the waterfalls, it’s clean and safe.
Not recommended for solo women travelers.

The trek is a bit hectic (around 14 kms one way) but it’s totally worth it. The view is breathtaking. If you like watching water falling over rocks, it’s definitely a place to check out.

Gifted place. You cannot ride to the falls, stop the car at the jeep taxi stand and book the jeep online. Link will be provided at the place. Rs. 25 per person for registration, kids above age 5 to be considered as adults. This registration copy to be shown at the counter to get a jeep driver. One jeep will carry only 7 passengers. You need to pay 500 per head for jeep safari, additional 300 including the life jacket (mandatory) and forest entrance fees.
Ride to the falls is awesome. You will get almost an hour time at the falls. Have to be careful while walking over the slippery rocks 🪨. Mobiles must kept inside a plastic cover or carry it very carefully. Wear the life jacket and you can swim in the water. Water will be very cold and it’s an awesome experience there. Carry swim suits or spare dress to enjoy the bath.

Dudhsagar Waterfall is a breathtaking natural wonder that left me in awe during my recent visit. The sheer size and power of the waterfall are simply mesmerizing. The cascading water looks like a frothy river of milk, hence the name "Dudhsagar," which means "Sea of Milk" in Hindi.
The lush green surroundings and the dense forest add to the charm of this place, making it a paradise for nature enthusiasts and photographers. The journey to reach the waterfall, whether by train or trekking, is an adventure in itself, with stunning views of the Goan countryside.
The only downside to this popular tourist destination is the crowd. It can get quite crowded, especially during the peak season, which takes away from the tranquility of the place. However, if you can time your visit during the off-peak hours, you'll have a more peaceful experience.
Overall, Dudhsagar Waterfall is a must-visit for anyone exploring the natural beauty of Goa. It's a sight to behold and a great escape from the bustling beaches and nightlife of the region.

A wonderful natural beauty.
This is a very unique scenario where you can see waterfalls, hilly rivers, deep forest and railway tracks in between deep forest. You can take a Jeep ride from Kulem to visit this waterfall. The water is very clear and the atmosphere is very peaceful and pleasant in nature. You can take a deep breath and chill in here. Fresh air and fresh water.
You can visit from November to February for the best experience. Water is around 20 meters deep at the falling point. A life jacket is must to visit this waterfall.

When we went here few years, we had only option to get the train, if we miss then need to walk to main station to catch the trains. Lot had improved now after many visitors are reaching here. Very hyped falls, with less stream and water. Approaching road inside forest is bumpy, not a tar road takes around 45 minutes to reach followed by 10 to 15 min walk. 640 per head- 500 ticket, 100 to forest entry, 40 life jacket or 3500 for a vehicle. Railway track is there. Water is deep and cold. Overall ok.

One of the best places to visit in South Goa. We came here in the off season. Had a small hike to make it to here. But it was all worth it. The waterfall is is a huge one and shipped like heart. You can also see it from the train but we decided to get down in Kulem station to do a small hike. The hike it self was amazing.

Breath taking view when you arrive there. I would absolutely recommend a visit if you are in India and Goa. Make sure you arrive early as there is a limit to how many Jeeps can go there in a day. Swimming in the water is a must after a hot trek but get ready for crowded and quite tight rocky shore. Water is deep.
Also be careful with any food as monkey are there to steal it then they litter around with food wrappings juice boxes etc. They can get quite aggressive.
Najir Shaikh — Google review
Make sure to visit this place in the early morning . Morning is the best time to reach there with view as well as to avoid long queues, otherwise you will end up waiting in queue while sitting in your vehicle. Don't carry any food inside the waterfall otherwise you'll have to share it with monkeys. In Jeep Safari I had an experience where a monkey suddenly came up for food and was sitting with me inside the Jeep.
For a ticket you need to do an online booking and then to book for Jeep from there with life jacket charge. There is also a separate jungle entry fee, so it is better to keep your card handy for the payment.

One must visit this waterfall if you are visiting Goa. The milky white water flows with gush which is a treat to eyes. it is wise to visit this waterfall in Goa, after the monsoon, between October to February.
If you want to swim in the Dudhsagar River at the base of the falls, do it only with a life jacket. Bathing in the monsoon is not recommended when the water flows with great force. There are no cloakrooms / lockers to store luggage near the falls.
Note: Be aware of monkeys and dont feed them.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Doodh Sagar in Goa, and let me tell you, it's a sight to behold! The view from there is absolutely stunning, especially after it rains and everything is lush and green. Unfortunately, they're not allowing visitors to go up to the top at the moment, but don't let that deter you – you can still take in the beauty from ground level. I'd suggest planning your visit for after rainy days to get the full experience. However, if you're thinking of going during hot weather, it might not be as enjoyable. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit, especially if you're a nature lover!

In addition to that, there is also a play area for the kids.
The foundation stone of Military Mahadev Temple was laid on January 18, 1954. The temple was opened to public on January 24, 1955 by Lieutenant General S.M. Shrinagesh, General Officer and Commander-in-Chief Southern Command.
Military Mahadev Temple has undergone several renovations and modifications through the years and the dome has been completely changed. There is a religious ritual practised every Monday called Samuhik Panchamrit, also called as the collective offering of the Panchamrit. This Panchamrit is made of four important elements - honey, yogurt, ghee, and sugar. The most important festival celebrated here is Mahashivratri. It has undergone renovations with a new dome built in the original style and carvings similar to those in other South Indian temples.
The temple remarkably clean and well-maintained. It is so called because of its long-standing use for worship by army personnel and of course, it was later thrown open to the public.

One of the best temple in belgaon. This one is too spacious and they have many seating arrangements also in the premise. There’s a ground on which they have developed some miniatures of forts won by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Children’s park is also there on another side of temple.
Photography is not allowed in main temple. This temple has two nandi statues in-front of the shivling rather than one which we usually see.
This is really close to the belgaon railway station so you can actually walk upto this place.

Temple is designed and built in Lotus shape, hence name Kamal Basadi in Kannada dialect. The complex also has another temple which is in bad shape. The idol of Shri Neminath Thirtankar is beautifully carved in green marble.

It is a jain temple located just 2 km away from belgaon railway station. You can hire an auto which will cost you 30 to 35 Rs/pp.
It is a Lotus Jain Temple that stands within the boundary of Belgaum Fort. This fort was built in the year 1209 by Bichirja, a minister in the court of Kartavirya IV of Ratta Dynasty. Kamala Basti (Lotus Jain Temple) is a beautifully carved architectural masterpiece of the bygone era.
The main sanctum of Kamal Basti houses the idol of Lord Neminath seated on a throne. It is said that the idol of Lord Neminath was founded over 250 years ago.

Kamal Basadi is an ancient Jain temple in Belgavi fort area. It has stone structure in the shape of lotus at the temple ceiling, hence the name.
It's usually open during the day. It very well maintained and one feels calm upon visiting it. We loved our early morning visit.
Note: As this is a religious place, please respect people's sentiments, wear appropriate clothings and maintain decorum of the place.

One of the best architectural structure. Basically it is Lord Mahaveer temple with two devis on the outside. This kind of architecture needs more attention to preserve our heritage. But I think it's totally neglected. Some of the carvings are broken.

Situated inside Belagavi fort. Auto available to this place. Appeal to the visitors is that please do not litter inside the premises. You take a walk along the compound wall (time ~1hr). Architecture of the temple is astounding & marvelous.

It is a Jain temple carved out of stone. A must see for architecture and history enthusiasts. Ramkrishna Mission Ashram is just besides this place, so you can cover 2 places on a single road.
As for the place, it is surprizingly bleak. It looked like a place where people come to read paper, or watch FB stories loudly. The interior of stone temple so pleasant and cold, but the exterior is mangled by the humans. There is so much intricate stone work, but you need to know your history to admire it. But if a person like me can be amused, then the experts are going to go gaga over this place. But, there is interference there as well. At one place, I saw ghastly blue doors (which are normally seen on toilets) added to temple architecture. It frankly looked hideous. This place made me sad.
If you ask me, you can avoid visiting. If you are a tourist like me, it is fine if you don't go here.

The apps showing finding drivers for long, no one to come! It takes 25 to 30 minutes, better to hire auto or cab with 39 minutes waiting charge. If you have own vehicle relax for 15 minutes in park. Kamala Basadi is a beautiful Jain temple located in Belagavi, Karnataka, India. Its name, meaning "Lotus Temple," is apt, as the temple features stunning lotus motifs in its architecture. As you enter, you're greeted by intricate carvings and delicate craftsmanship that epitomize Jain artistry. The temple's peaceful ambiance makes it a serene spot for meditation and reflection. The intricate pillars and ceilings adorned with lotus patterns add to the sense of tranquility, inviting visitors to appreciate the fusion of art and spirituality. Exploring Kamala Basadi is a journey into Jain heritage and architecture, offering a glimpse into a bygone era of remarkable craftsmanship and devotion.

The word Basadi, could have roots in the Sanskrit ‘Vasati’ which means residence, a dwelling and in the Jain context a shrine, a temple. The Jain temples are called Basadis in South India.
The main diety in Kamala Basadi is Shri Neminatha, the 22nd Thirthankara of Jainism. The temple was built in 1204 by Bichiraja a minister of the Ratta King Kartavirya IV. The temple gets its name from the most beautiful ceiling in the temple’s mantapa (hall) – intricately carved concentric circles of the lotus (kamala) flower with a central lotus bud. The pillars that support the ceiling are simple and carry the ‘diamond-cut’ that is quite common in the pillars at the Hoysala temple in Belur. If you have visited the bigger and better known Jain temples of Gujarath or Rajasthan you will realise that exquisitely carved ceilings are a typical feature and the lotus theme was quite common. So it was a wow moment for me to see such a lavish ceiling in a tiny little Basadi!

Visited the Ashram on 13 Mar 2022, Sunday. Coincidentally, it was the annual celebration of the Ashram. By the time I arrived there, the program was over. But I could relish the sumptuous prasadam, curd, rice, masala rice and jalebi, the round Indian sweet. Visited the house where Swami Vivekanand stayed from 19 to 27 October 1892. This house has such strong vibrations. I could feel them with goosebumps on my body. There is a tranquil meditation hall with a beautiful, tastefully illuminated statue of Swami Vivekanand. There is an exhibition of the pictures of the Sadashiv Bhate family whom Swamiji visited and stayed for the first three days of his visit to Belgaum. Later he came to this house, which belonged to Shri Haripad Mitra, a friend of Sadashiv Bhate, and stayed here for nine days. Haripad Mitra became a staunch devotee of swamiji. Swamiji left for Madagao from here by train.

Going to Belgaum is incomplete without visiting it's less travelled beautiful places and a place in our bucket lists was Gokak falls,
It is a 2.5 hour drive from belgavi city. Driving through the village roads and through lush green fields of rice and sugarcane was an very good rural experience,on reaching there we were happy to see the Falls from a hill,in the summer months the flow of water is less. One of the exciting thing about visiting the waterfall is not just seeing it but walking through the river by a walking cable Bridge,I can say the bridge is quite sturdy and strong. The bridge was closed and wasn't open because of pandemic BUT i hope the belgavi government opens the brige for visitors post pandemic. We managed to walk through the bridge later we went down the rocks to cross the cool streams of water and feel the scenic beauty of the fall.
It was one of a kind Experience after all!

Gokak Falls is 6 km away from Gokak town and gets its name from the Goki trees found in abundance in these areas. It resembles the Niagara Falls due to its features like the fall, shape etc. Here, River Ghataprabha takes a leap of 52 metres over the sand-stone cliff amidst a picturesque gorge of the rugged valley, making a beautiful sight. This place has the credit of generating electricity for the first time in the country in about 1887. A prime attraction of the Gokak Falls is the hanging 200-m-long bridge that lies 14 m above the bedrock. Tourists can also visit monuments on both sides of the rocky gorge which include temples of Goddess Durga, Lord Shanmukha and Lord Mahalingeshwara built in the traditional Chalukyan style of architecture.
Reasons to visit Gokak Falls:
Hanging Bridge: Built across the river, 200 meters long, gives an elevated view of the falls.
Lord Mahalingeshwara Temple, built-in Chalukya style architecture.
Kemple Park botanical gardens
Yogi Kolla hiking: A popular trekking destination 3 kms from the falls.
Mallaprabha Boating: Boating options in Markandeya river, 8 kms from the Falls
More temples: such as Yogikolla Mallikarjuna Temple, Kariyamma Temple, Laxmi Temple, Hanuman Temple n more.
Nearby: Godachinmalki waterfalls (13 kms from Gokak Falls) and Saundatti Yellamma (73 kms) are often visited along with the Falls.
How to reach Gokak Falls: The Falls is 622 kms from Bengaluru and 62 kms from Belagavi. Belagavi is the nearest airport and major railway station. Belagavi is well-connected by air, rail and road to rest of Karnataka. From Belagavi taxi can be hired to reach Gokak falls.
Stay: Gokak city, 6 kms away, has budget hotels. Belagavi city has more hotel options.

Gokak Waterfall, situated in the Indian state of Karnataka, is a breathtaking natural wonder that captivates visitors with its raw beauty and serene surroundings. This majestic waterfall is formed by the Ghataprabha River as it cascades down a rugged gorge, creating a mesmerizing spectacle that has earned it the nickname "Mini Niagara of India."
The Gokak Waterfall is an emblem of the unspoiled charm of nature. Its sheer drop of about 170 feet into the chasm below creates a thunderous roar that resonates through the lush greenery. During the monsoon season, when the river is in full flow, the waterfall is at its most impressive, with a colossal volume of water crashing down.
The surrounding landscape adds to the allure of Gokak Falls. The verdant hills and the dense forested areas create a serene atmosphere, making it a popular spot for nature enthusiasts and photographers. The viewing platform near the falls offers an excellent vantage point to witness this natural marvel up close.
Apart from its natural beauty, Gokak also holds historical significance. The town of Gokak itself is known for its textile industry and historical landmarks like the Gokak Mills. The old suspension bridge, known as the Gokak Bridge, adds a touch of nostalgia to the scenery.
Gokak Waterfall is not just a feast for the eyes but also a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. It's a place where one can connect with nature's grandeur and find solace in the soothing sound of rushing water. Whether you're a nature lover, an adventurer, or simply seeking a peaceful retreat, Gokak Waterfall is a must-visit destination that leaves a lasting impression on all who behold its splendor.

Shree Kopeshwar Mandir
Hindu temple
Sights & Landmarks
Sacred & Religious Sites
Hindu temple with elephant pillars, intricate stone carvings & a dome with a circular opening.
Kopeshwar Temple near Kolhapur in Maharashtra is a masterpiece of Chalukyan temple architecture. It is yet to get the fame like Chola temples of Thanjavur or Chandela temples of Khajuraho. Maybe because it is a single temple in this region with a much smaller Jain temple in the vicinity. Maybe its time has just come now.
History of Kopeshwar Temple at Khidrapur
There are different views on when this temple was exactly built. Sources point to it being first built in 7th CE, probably built by Badami Chalukyas. Other sources place it in 9th CE during the times of Kalyani Chalukyas. While yet other sources put it to 12th CE built by Shilahar Kings, who were earlier the vessels of Chalukyan kings.
My sense is that it is probably a 9th CE temple later enhanced by Shilahars. You do see a lot of incomplete elements in the temple. For example, the incomplete north and south Mukh mandapas, incomplete carvings on pillars with markings for carving. As they say, incomplete structures give you insights into the making of temples. The Shikhar of the temple is also out of sync with the rest of the structure. Temples anyway are on perpetual construction mode.
The temple thankfully has 12 inscriptions, 11 of which are in old Kannada script while one is in Devnagari. However, none of these inscriptions tell us about who built it and when. One of them dating to 1204 by Yadava Kings of Deogiri do mention the renovation of the temple, implying that the temple existed well before 12th CE.

What a beauty leveraging ancient architecture and designs that are just beyond our imagination. Truely a unique monument which needs to be addressed and admired by everyone. This temple of God Shiva (Kopeshwar) is situated at such a location which is surrounded by river Krishna on three of its side. Entering into this temple makes you realize the fact that how the people at that time had built it. Construction was started in 7th century and later in 12th century Silahara King completed the work with due respect. Best part of temple is the Swargmandap which is at the start, really amazing sculpture and construction done. Only one thing as a tourist you feel bad is that Government has no attention over this beautiful monument

I remember visiting it many years back and being completely awe struck by the beauty of it. I was fortunate to visit it again very recently. Since then the road to Khidrapur is a bit better and some shops, parking space has come near the temple.
The temple walls are adorned with beautiful stone carvings, not only within the temple but on the outer walls too. But the biggest attractions is definitely Swarga Mandap. Don't miss seeing it around evening time.
Pro tip: lie fown on your back at the center and look up the swarga mandap. It looks even more beautiful.

Shri Kopeswar (Furious) Mahadev Temple, sited on Krishna river banks, at Koopam village, Khidrapur, in Kolhapur district (Maharashtra) - is a border town of Maharashtra & Karnataka. The historic temple with fascinating myths & legends, was built during 12 century by Shilahara Kings of Chalukya dynasty.
The magnificent architectural marvel of intrinsic stone carvings on the Temple Walls & Pillars are Splendid. The location of the temple has influenced the architectural work with a mix culture of Chalukya, Hoysala & Hemadpanti architectural & artistic marvel.
Inside the temple - the magnificent Swargamandap has a vestibule with an open sky view top. Picturesque.
This is probably the only temple where Lord Vishnu is sited next to Lord Shiva, in form of another Shivling. Also, strangely Nandi is absent here inside the temple premises.
The temple has lost its marvel architectural glory due to past invasions & depletion, erosion in time. Government has not preserved or renovated this wonderful Heritage site. The architectural magnificence would be Lost soon if No initiative is taken for maintenance or restoration by the Government or ASI or UNESCO.
The Visit to the Temple is highly recommended.

Inside the Temple we can see, there are 8 deities of 8 directions, collectively called Digpals occupying their respective directions and in addition, there are 4 images of Vishnu, Kartik, the Sun, and Shiva.

It was one of the most beautiful historical moments I have seen. The temple built with Hemadpant structural style, it faced Aurangzeb's invasion and his attempted destruction. Aurangzeb has distructed trunks of the elephants and defaced human statues. The temple also faced destructive effects of river floods but has survived. the remIning statues and tje architectural beauty is still amazing.
This is the only temple where Gods Shankar and Vishnu are together, and the God Shankar is facing south.
This is the only temple where Lord Nandi is not present with God Shankar.
The temple has some carvings identifying the rich history of Indian culture.
No tickets are required, but I recommend taking a guide to understand the history and the carvings or statues at the monument.

A Hidden 12th century temple, built on the banks of River Krishna, Kopeshwar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva,
Story behind this temple is, when lord Shiva was furious when sati Parvati jumped into Daksha’s sacrifice. Lord Vishnu then brought Shiva to the temple to calm him down. Hence the temple got the name as ‘Kopeshwar’.
The construction of temple started in 7th century AD and the work remained incomplete under various dynasties.
M agnificent piece of intricate Chalukyan architecture. Built with basalt stone, the entire temple is divided into four parts Swarga Mandap, Sabha Mandapa, Antarala, and Garbhagriha / Sanctum Sanctorum. The Swarg Mandap of the temple is unique and stunning. The mandap is supported by 48 beautifully carved pillars and has a large circular stone disc with an open roof.
Apart from the temple, there are no other facilities provided for the tourists. Guest rooms, tour guides, hotels and other information are not available at the venue and so there is not much of a response to this historical site.

Best location for tourists and devotees. The River Krishna presents the scenic view at the ghat near the temple. Pedha and kunda are the best sweets made from milk. The best time to visit is during the winter season. Keep the money and pocket or purse carefully. Beware of the crowd in the temple area. This place is truly best to visit.

Holy place where Bhagavan himself is staying. One must visit this place. Darshan can be done in 10-15 mins.
Good market to buy specially Famous wood apple sweet, you will get here, buy it. Also if you like to drink Basundi can give a try.
If you are coming through your vehicle then better to keep it at long distance, since Mandir area does not have parking available. I would suggest to park your car back side of the Mandir at open area.

This Datta temple is located in Kolhapur district near the confluence of rivers Krishna and Panchganga. It is one of the important pilgrimages in Maharashtra. It feels peaceful when you sit and meditate in this temple. It is not very crowded except on some days. One can easily get darshan after waiting in the queue for 5-10 mins that too during peak hours. Even on special occasions the queue isn't too long unlike other temples. Waiting in queue for half an hour is normal on special occasions. One can enjoy the scenic and picturesque views of the river by sitting on the steps near the temple. Other than this the boat ride in the river is also a good activity to enjoy. Parking facilities are available. There is ample connectivity through public transport from nearby areas like Miraj. One shouldn't miss to taste the very famous Basundi of Wadi and along with it Kandi pedhas and kavthachi barfi as well.

Ganapati Temple is regarded as the most beautiful temple in south Maharashtra. It is situated on the banks of river Krishna at Sangli. Thorle (elder) Chintamanrao Patwardhan consecrated the idol in 1843.
The temple has been artistically built with black stone brought from Jyotibha hills. There is a platform, a hall and a 'Nagarkhana' inside the vast two acres complex of the temple. The entrance door has been carved out of different coloured natural wood.
The idol of the Lord Ganapati is made of copper. The idol has been kept in a way that it is visible from any part of Ganapati Peth. It looks so beautiful when the silvery rays of evening sun brighten the face of the Ganapati idol.
Ganapati festival is celebrated with great religious fervour for five days from Bhadrapad Shuddha Chaturthi.
Sangli is well connected by air, train and road. Dharamshalas and small budgeted hotels at Sangli are available for accommodation.

During our family tour to Malvan, Sindhudurg, on the way to Malvan; we visited ‘Rautwadi Waterfall’. It is located in Olavan of Radhanagari taluka and is around 8 Km away from Radhanagari. This waterfall is easily accessible from main road. This place is surrounded by lush green covers and it offers a picturesque canvas for our eyes. The height of the waterfall is around 100 ft and there is a beautiful walkway to reach to the summit. The surrounding atmosphere was very awesome, when we visited there.
We visited this place in November; however Monsoon will be the best time to visit this place because at that time we can experience Nature's beauty, lush green mountains and big waterfall. And hence it’s a great place for a one day trip but only during the rainy season.
There are many more attractions nearby this place such as Radhanagari backwaters, Dajipur Wildlife Sanctuary, and Radhanagari Dam.

First the ride to this place is pleasant and one could cherish drive through the nature in monsoon. The place gets pretty crowded after 11 am. Therefore if you are one of those who like fewer people around than I recommend you to reach here by 9 am. There are lot of waterfalls besides this one. The parking is along the road and during peak time I. e. Weekend you need to park your vehicle 1km and far and than you need to walk. The route to waterfall from parking is very short and easy. Basic ready to eat food joints are available. Like Tea stall, corn and bhaji. It is recommend place for all nature enthusiast including all age group.

We visited in May-22 and still it was cool place to visit, dense forest, fog n cool breeze in morning. We only managed to spot 3 bisons but climate was refreshing.
Management needs to look into service, should atleast provide clean toilets at entry point of forest, should arrange facility to purchase some snacks at entry point (eg water bottles, chips, biscuits, tea coffee etc).
Road in jungle is rough and only forest department jeeps are allowed, you can get on for 1800 rs which can accomodate 7 PPL. Safari is for around 4-5 hrs, runs in two slots morning and evening.
Entry fee of 200 per person charged over and above the car rent.

I visited this place in December 2022. The entry to the wildlife sanctuary is from Olvan village which is just 1 kms before the starting of Phonda Ghat. There are small homestays where you can reach the night prior and stay as it is best to start the jungle safari in early morning, may be at 5 or 5:30. The safari needs to be done only thru the authorized jeeps by paying a charge per vehicle plus entry ticket per person. This Sanctuary is very dense jungle and sometimes that makes spotting difficult. *Remember: This is not zoo. A person may end the safari without seeing any Bison. * But at the same time, you need to be equally or even more vigilant than your driver cum guide and keep your attention at all sides. I have observed the drivers are in a hurry to take you around and finish the ride quicky so that he gets the next customer. But insist the driver on going slow. When I visited, I was very demanding and the tour took more than 4 hours for me. Probe a lot and ask question so that he too will give you lot of information. Expect some other small animals like jungle hen, Indian giant squirrel etc. You can also find beautiful butterflies, flowers during the tour. As the roads are very bad, persons with motion sickness should avoid going here. Also keep in mind, do not litter, carry plastic inside. This place has a good potential if the government works on tourism development.

Note: From June 5 2023, Dajipur Wildlife Sanctuary will remain close until future updates.
Morning Times are the best, the animals can be seen when they are drinking water, soo the timing of drinking water is in the morning hours like around 6.
Also, luckily animals can be seen anywhere if you have a good luck
It is better to have a pre night stay and then starting your ride early in the morning

This place opens at 6 am in the morning. The best time to start the safari is 6 am to 10 am as animals come to drink water so we can see them easily. There are shekarus in the forest which is state animal of maharashtra.
We went in may still there were lush green trees.
We took a jeep for 10 people which costed us ₹2000 and each persons ticket was ₹ 50
Must visit once. This forest is well resereved. There are towers on the main site points which are good photogenic and view from there is amazing.
The guids are nice. they try their best so that we can see the animals.
Even if we dont see any animal the road journey in the jungle is worth it.

4. It takes 4 hour's to see sanctuary. So visiti at morning.
5. If u r lucky you'll see animal's.
6. But if unfortunately u cannot visit sanctury still u have lovely road. Backwater.
Second visit
7. Best time to visit - oct to Jan
8. We've booked car for 6 people for 1800 Rs. And ticket 200 Rs. It took us 5 hour's. And we saw bison only. Animals are not visible on afternoon as they are resting because of heat. Morning & evening time is best.
9. Bring your own water bottle and snacks. As journey is very long.

TypeSthaldurg.
Other nama Sangli Fort.
Nearest village- Sangli.
wayKolhapur- Sangli.
Sangli is the seat of the district. This is an octagonal shaped Bhuikot fort in this district. This fort is built after Shivakala. The fortifications of the fort are strong. The fort towers are circular in shape and have a 13 feet deep moat. The gate of the fort is 21 feet high and is between two towers. The fort has a grand building called Diwankhana. Earlier many wastes were in the fort itself. The fort houses an archaeological museum.
Tushar Ramesh Patil — Google review
Fact: Sangli fort is not actually a fort these days. It used to be a fort. Currently, this area is occupied by some govt offices and residential buildings/houses. Of course there are some historical old buildings. Some are turned in govt offices or some are to not-in-use jails. Tahsildar office and police offices are also there.
The sangli fort is very much near to sangli bus stand. You can go by car as well.
No single step to climb.
I would suggest 2 things to watch if you visit this fort area. One is Beautiful Darbar (hall), which has a divine Ganesh temple in it. It's calm and clean. The other is the museum (10 Rs ticket for adults, 1 Rs for below 13 age) Must go if nearby. It's really beautiful.

Actually first of all it is not a fort at all. Fort is just a misnomer for this and that's why I gave only 4 star . Yeah, there is a museum which is really mesmerising and just for 10 rs , you can stay there as long as u want. Behind that museum there is Darbaar Hall, which is a temple and also a great symbol of beautiful architecture . I personally loved the museum. There is a government office behind. The museum opens after 10:30am and ya, dont touch anything in the museum and you are also not allowed to click the pictures inside the museum and darbaar hall too.
The Shree Ambabai Temple, Kolhapur is a magnificent Hindu temple renowned for its intricate sculptural designs. It is considered one of the most significant and lively places of worship in Maharashtra, dedicated to Amba Bai - the Mother Goddess. The temple's history dates back to AD 10, but much of its present structure was built in the 18th century.
If you are in Maharashtra then you should visit this temple in Kolhapur. You will have a really good experience and you can see the structure of the temple which is made by carving thousands of stones in very detailed way to make sculptures of the gods. The temple is beautiful and exudes a peaceful and calm atmosphere. It's centrally located and radiates positive vibes.
However parking can be an issue.
Street parking is available nearby and there is a municipal parking lot, but it can be somewhat hard to find.
The municipal parking charges 30 rs for cars. Toilet facilities are also available. It's about a 15-minute walk from the parking lot to the temple.
Be cautious of locals who may try to charge 50rs for parking closer to the temple, as the municipal parking is a more cost-effective and trustable option.

Shri Ambabai Temple or Mahalakshmi Temple in Kohlapur is one of the ancient Shakthipeethams in India. This sixth century Chalukya temple is an architectural wonder. It appears that a major earthquake in the 8th century which damaged most of the original structure and has been reconstructed over the centuries.
The temple complex has four main entrances. The complex includes five huge spires. The main idol is Goddess Mahalakshmi. Next to the main idol is Goddess Mahakali and Goddess MahaSaraswathi thus representing the three Goddesses of Hinduism.
It is so devine to have a Darshan of Shri Ambabai and what a positive experience and energy!

Not much crowded even on Fridays even in the morning. You get to see the main deity Ambabai quite clearly for a minute until you actually stand in front of the deity. It was a mesmerizing experience.

Best hours to get darshana of mahalakshmi/abmmbabai in early morning or night hours because it's always crowded especially on weekends or public holidays.
The traditional shops around the temple premises are so beautiful and affordable too. You can shop Puja saman ooti plate and traditional food items, ornaments etc around the mandapa market.

The lake is 100 hectares in size, has a rectangular shape, and is surrounded by a footpath and a road for vehicles. In the evening, the sunset view is amazing. Over time, the area has not been kept up properly; there are several missing tiles from the sidewalks, many nightlights are not functioning, and the lake's water could be cleaned. Both manual and motor types of boats are available for boating. When you enter the boating area, safety measures are conducted, and a life jacket is available for use while boating. Overall, it is a great site to visit for a peaceful and magnificent lake view that is surrounded by a large number of street food vendors.

Greenery every where, u can still feel cold during morning time in the month of May where rest of India is burning.
The lake view is mesmerizing...in morning time u feel peace and calm ness sitting beside the lake....
During evening this place is over crowed...lots of fastfood joints opens during that time.
Boating and other water sports activities starts in the evening.
The Royal Palace of Kolahapur is also situation besides this lake.
Need some cleaning around this place...which can turn this place to a aswom place.

Great place to spend peaceful time. Great lake view and cool Breeze. Must try the kolhapuri bhel and other chat options. I tried a special bhel which was really good. You can get all types of food options such as Chinese, chat, faludas , milk shakes, tandoors , pav bhaji and many more.
I also tried faluda which was decent in taste. I sat there for some time as it was really calm . Try to visit during odd hours you may find less crowds. Especially during weekdays it's really less crowded so you can easily find some place for yourself and spend some peaceful time. You can either read a book, eat something from there or just stare at continuously moving waves of the Lake.
I visited during August last week when it's not too rainy nor too cloudy . I also tried the boat ride which was worth spending for sure. I took dolphin ride for 2 people.

The Shri Jotiba Temple (Dakkhan cha Raja) is conveniently located around 25 kilometers from Kolhapur. There's a frequent bus service from the Kolhapur bus depot, with buses departing every 15 minutes. Alternatively, you can easily reach the temple by your own vehicle, and there is ample parking available on site.
One thing to note is the absence of public washrooms in the area, so it's advisable to plan accordingly. The darshan experience typically takes around 30 minutes, but on special occasions, this time frame may extend. Our visit was quite enjoyable, but there is room for improvement in terms of temple infrastructure and facilities for devotees.

Visiting Jotiba Temple in Kolhapur was an experience beyond words. The misty atmosphere, accompanied by gentle raindrops, added an ethereal touch to the spiritual journey. Known as 'दख्खनचा राजा' the temple's aura resonates with its regal title. The tradition of offering 'Gulal' to Jyotiba added a cultural depth to the visit. Amidst the tranquility and devotion, I felt a deep connection to the history and spirituality of the place. A visit to Jotiba Temple is not just a pilgrimage but an encounter with a mystical realm.

In short it has a wonderful panoramic view, and the most amazing personally spiritual experience, one can ever imagine. The temple is visited by scores of people during Sundays as it is the sacred day of Jotiba.
A visit to Shree Jyotiba Devasthan is a worthwhile experience.

"The Jyotiba Temple in Kolhapur is a beautiful and serene temple dedicated to Jyotiba, a form of Shiva. The temple is located on a hilltop, and the climb to the top is lined with shops and stalls selling local food and souvenirs. The temple complex also includes several other temples and a beautiful garden. I would definitely recommend visiting the Jyotiba Temple if you are ever in Kolhapur."

Very nice temple to visit. They have paid parking available outside the temple. You have to get down with steps which will take around 15 mins. If you are visiting on weekends you will take time for darshan. They also have VIP darshan passes. They have chappals stand to keep your footwear. The temple is really nice and old ancient temple 🛕. Must visit and worth visiting.

Kul dev for most of the people of Maharashtra.
Temple is situated at the top of the hill. Awesome place with good positive vibes.
Do complete the darshan as well.
During festive or Yatra season this is crowded but still you will enjoy the happening and will feel more connected towards god.
Must visit
Highly recommended

Jyotiba Temple is a holy site of Hinduism near Wadi Ratnagiri in Kolhapur district of Maharashtra state in western India. The deity of the temple is known by the same name. An annual fair takes place on the full moon night of the Hindu months of Chaitra and Vaishakha.

A very iconic devotional place in Maharashtra. This place is adorned with Gulaal ( गुलाल ) everywhere. Deity (मूर्ती) is beautiful and the architecture has influence of Hemadpanthi (हेमाडपंथी / हेमाडपंती) style.
Things that could be better:
Parking - There is no dedicated parking area for devotees nearby. You will need to arrange from nearby stalls that allow you to park your cars in exchange for offerings that you buy for the temple deity.
Cleanliness: Must be improved considering the temple gets thousands of devotees everyday.
Inside the temple, Priests (पुजारी) at temple are quite insistent on giving दक्षिणा / दान at every deity. Mind you, there's one main deity of Jyotiba and many other deities around. This experience is not very nice!
If you ignore these 3 things, it's very satisfying to visit this iconic and religious place and enjoy a truly pink surrounding!

Had postive vibes when I entered the temple.
I was lucky enough to be a part of some jatra as well.
Garments stall also available inside the temple.
Roads are really good while going there.
Entry fee is 5/- per person and 20/- for car entry.
At occasion it is very hard to get parking 🅿️.
Good experience!!

Lakhs of people come to this place everyday for darshan. The planning of this place is very good. In many places you have guards etc. but you get good cooperation from them. I visited this place but one thing is missing is the toilet. Just build it properly and provide good facilities to the people.
Thank you

Amazing experience. The entire journey was an exhilarating experience. The temple being located at the summit of a hill. The climbing experience is reminiscent of the one we usually have while traversing up the hair pin bend curving roads of thirumala.
The entire visit to the five plus temples located, are dedicated to the trimurti, ma amba Mata, Nadi dev and jyotirlings. It is said that the entire hill encompasses the 12 jyotirling.
The history goes that ma aadhya Shakti created her version of the Trimurti, who were said to be infinitely more powerful than the original three, to destroy their ego.
In short it has a wonderful panoramic view, and the most amazing personally spiritual experience, one can ever imagine.

Lots of rush on Sunday. A long line was there to enter the temple. One can go to the back door of the temple and give their offerings over there.
The full area was covered with pink color. It was really great to witness that view.

After waiting for long, finally I got a chance to visit the jyotiba temple. Very beautiful and peaceful. Beautiful architecture. This temple is on jyotiba hill. But the stairs are down side to enter the temple . Something different. Even the pujari are nice and polite. They allowed me to take darshan from inside. Feel blessed 😇.

Serene and divine! Loved my experience there. With everything covered in pink gulal, the temple was looking gorgeous and made it even more photogenic.
As wirh almost every other temple, Darshan time is only 30 secs to max 1 min if you are lucky given the crowd that shows up.
