The Phimai Historical Park is a rectangular temple complex filled with intricate carvings and stone sculptures. It is an impressive Khmer ruin located in Thailand, known for its grand scale and detailed designs. Built as a Mahayana Buddhist temple, it features carvings of Hindu deities and design elements similar to those found in Angkor Wat.
This place was stunning!
I remain amazed - after visiting ancient ruins in other countries - how much of this complex was accessible to the public. There’s not really anything off limits, and only the normal rules binding visitors to decency in a holy site.
The structures are all incredible, and the details truly ornate. Plan at least a couple of hours to wander and soak it all in.
There is a higher density of visitors here than some of the other sites we’ve visited, but for good reason.
It’s an amazing feat of human engineering, and something worth witnessing first-hand.

Impressive one. The old building is located in the center of city. All of them were built from stone that is always stunning me how effort they built them without any smart tools. No public transportation I saw only private cars.

This is a smaller version of the Angkor Wat in Cambodia. It is worth stopping at if you are in the area. I would take some water along as climbing up and down all the stairs "rocks" in the heat will make you thirsty. The stairs are not bad there are few steps but many stairs. It took us abount an hour and a half to walk it all. Take cash its 100 bht a person.

I went on 31Dec.2022 is free for ticket.🥰
4) Atmosphere great is it a family place, good for a date, But not for business. Toilet is similar.
5) Price is valued for money the place is far from Bkk around 7Hr. and car parking is too small should park another place and walk through if in the holiday & weekend.
I Would you recommend if you looking for great history good historical wonderful views.🥰

The wonderful Khmer cultural sanctuary. The largest ancient Khmer temple in Thailand. It was taken care of very well. The inside has beautiful scenery, clean and a lot of photography corners. A small museum in front of this place shows the history and the conservation of Phimai. Some of the entrance fees.
Ruby Lib — Google review
I really enjoyed my visit to Phimai Historical Park. The temple is a beautiful example of Khmer architecture and the carvings are simply stunning. It was fascinating to learn about the history of the park and the Khmer people.
I would recommend Phimai Historical Park to anyone interested in history, culture, or architecture. It is a truly impressive site that is well worth a visit.
Specific comments about your suggestions:
The parking is very limited. I would recommend parking at the main entrance and walking to the temple. The walk is about 10 minutes and is a great way to get a feel for the park.
The entrance fee is 20 baht per person for Thai nationals and 100 baht per person for foreigners.
The museum on site is a great place to learn more about the park and the Khmer people. It is well worth a visit if you have time.

Pretty impressive that there are these ruins in the middle of this small town. It's pretty small grounds but the structure and carvings on the ruins are very impressive. There's hardly any other tourists and it took us about an hour to go through. You need to dress modestly to get in.

We have been to Angkor Wat in Cambodia and this is very similar. It is very impressive and much bigger than we thought it would be. 120 bhat for two people.

This place was a fantastic view into the ancient temples of the Khmer Kingdom of the 11th and 12th century. Beautiful Hindu inspired artwork adorns the walls and vamanas of these ancient temples. A large area with beautiful park like settings . Be sure to check out the rear of the park where many old pieces of the the temples lay catalogued for possible replacement. Very hot climate so dress accordingly.

A very impressive park with a cheap entry fee. You will need at least half an hour. Preferable more. There is a visitor info centre attached with info both in Thai and English. Great streetfood outside.

I traveled from Siem Reap, Cambodia to Surin to meet a friend from Switzerland. We traveled by public bus to visit Phimai temple. Phimai is a magnificent temple. It was previously an important city during the Khmer Empire era. Prasat Hin Phimai Temple, located in the center of the city, was one of the main Khmer temples in ancient Thailand, connected to Angkor by the ancient Khmer road and oriented towards Angkor as its cardinal direction.

Great and beautiful place to visit. Taking photos and videos with your loved ones. Around 1.5 hours from Korat and visit here for 30-50 minutes worth a visit. Entry fee THB 20 for Thais and THB 100 for foreigners. Have QR code to tell you details of section you visit.

Historical park, set in the town of Phimai (Prasat Hin Phimai) is definitely worth a visit. You can experience the remains of a Khmer style temple without having to leave Thailand. I have been to Angkor Wat (in Cambodia), and the similarities are amazing. This is considered the largest Khmer temple in all of Thailand.
The Prasat Muang Tam is an ancient temple complex located in Khok Meuang village and built during the Khmer Empire. The site features serene surroundings flanked by ponds and is considered Isan's third-most-interesting temple in terms of size, atmosphere, and restoration quality. Dating back to the late 10th or early 11th century, it is a popular addition to visits to nearby Phanom Rung.
A really beautiful old temple in very well-maintained surroundings. The entrance fee is really worth it to see this sight. The gardens are very well kept and you can
Bittersweet (Bittersweet) — Google review
Beautiful Khmer temple (locally referred as a castle) from 10th century. The entrance costs 100 baths, unless you buy it as double ticket from nearby large temple Phanom Rung for 150 for both. On some holidays the entrance is free, and you might even have the chance to see everyone dressed up with traditional costumes.

it's a small park where you can't see much. Thais pay 20 THB and foreigners also with residence in Thailand with ID card and house book 100 THB like foreigners who do not live in Thailand. the park is not worth 100 THB.
Frischknecht Patrick — Google review
Very interesting old temple complex. Not as big, busy or tiring as the nearby phanon rung but full of atmosphere amd interesting ruins, in pretty good condition. Plenty of trees and shade. Some parking nearby and lots of little food kiosks, though not particularly great selection. Definitely drop by if you are in the area. Theres a combined ticket with Phanom Rung (150bt in 2023)

We hired a car from Buriram to visit the temples of Prasat Muang Tam and Phanom Rung. The journey was safe and pleasant. We spent more than an hour to discover Prasat Muang Tam, which is a Khmer Hindu Temple in Buriram Province, Thailand. It is primarily in the Khleang and Baphuon styles, which dates its primary phases of construction to the late-10th and early-11th centuries.

Visit 5th March 2022. Basically very hard to find the entrance. Didn't see any English signs. Best to look from outside and save 100 Baht. You get as much the idea of the place just looking over the fence.
David Stark — Google review
A site of stunning beauty. Prasat Muang Tam reflects the high cultural standards in the glory days of the Khmer empire from the 11th to the 15th century. The sanctuary has well-maintained buildings. The architacual and cultural value of the site are priceless. Prasart Muang Tam was an important stronghold in the empire, ruled by the kings in Angkor. The site takes you by the hand and leads you back in time when you walk along the pond or climb the staircase.
Ton Gerrits — Google review
Prasat Muang Tam is the 2nd most important historical park in Buriram. The park was of a later period than Phanom Rung, and thus has a different architecture style. It’s not too far from Phanom Rung, so best to plan to do them together.
If you get a discounted ticket by buying the bundled ticket for Phanom Rung and Muang Tam.

Prasat Muang Tam is a Khmer Hindu Temple in Prakhon Chai District, Buriram Province, Thailand. It is in the Khleang and Baphuon styles, which dates its construction to the late-10th and early-11th centuries. The deity was Shiva, although Vishnu was also worshipped there.

This is a beautiful area, temple and grounds. It is amazing how well these structures have lasted over the centuries. It is very nice to see historical areas protected and open to the public.

It’s a quiet place and not big like other ancient castle. You should visit this place before going to Panomroong castle because you can buy ticket here and get discount to enter the Panomroong castle.
Daneeta P — Google review
The entry fee, I recommended to buy combo for 2 sites. It's cheaper. Thai and foreigner are different prices for 5 times gapped. But it wasn't bad as some natural park could cost 500thb for foreigners and 20thb for Thais. This place worth it. The beauty of ruined temple was magnificent. This site is small. In Nov 2022, the weather wasn't too hot to walk around and enjoy the scenery.
APC SSP — Google review
Great khmer temple ruins in excellent state! We were the only visitors and had the temple all to ourselves. Such a peaceful place. Beautiful sculptures. A few shops at the parking selling quality local clothing. Big old trees by the pound. Very picturesque.
Edwin Martin — Google review
Maybe not as breathtaking as Prasat Phanom Rung but it's still magnificent. The grounds are lovely and the ruins are just incredible.
Phanom Rung Historical Park is an ancient temple built between the 10th and 13th centuries as a Hindu monument to Shiva. Located atop an extinct volcano, it offers breathtaking views of Cambodia's Dongrek Mountains and surrounding paddy fields. The temple boasts of elaborate carvings and was constructed mainly during King Suriyavarman II's reign. It has a rich cultural heritage and is considered a significant historical landmark in Cambodia.
We visited on a Sunday afternoon, it wasn't very crowded and it was nice to walk around. There were signages in both English and Thai explaining the Ramayana stories of Vishnu and Shiva on the carvings on the temple walls. Very interesting and well preserved. Very impressed by the size of the compound and how intricate the carvings were. Should definitely set aside a couple hours for this place.
Shu Ying — Google review
Beautiful temple including a mantle that was returned from the states to much fanfare. Hardly any non-local tourists, or any tourists at all. A real gem if you can get there. The nearby town/city of Buriram is a good base if you don’t mind the 130km round trip, which we managed just fine in a day.

One of my favourite places to be. One could spend a lot of time just taking it all in and then the views. Car park 3 is handy if you have elderly or immobile travelers you can drop of at the top

I was lucky enough to be able to plan my visit around the special time when the sunrises through all 15 doorways. The festival and the women dancing was spiritual, special and I felt honoured to be there. The buildings themselves are spectacular too, but visiting at one of the sunrise or sunset events is extra special. There's information on their Facebook page, in Thai, which can be translated with google. Highly recommend.

It was great to see that this place has been taken care very well. Make sure that you have water to drink with you. Once you are up there, no shop is available. For all souvenirs, food, and drinks can be found in the lower front part of the park.
J. Walther — Google review
It's magnificent. The only thing I can add is that as you are walking from the visitors center to the main section of the place off to the side is a modern building and it has a great restroom that is virtually unused.
TheRDMagee — Google review
Famous with the 4 events per year of sunrises and sunsets go thru all of the gates. that makes this place is very exclusive, thats why the event is very packed of both local and people from other provinces. So sad the picture is not like in Internet because as you can see, the hallway are full of smartphones and people.

So much to see and admire before even entering the site. Phanom Rung Historical Park is a Hindu Khmer Empire temple complex set on the rim of an extinct volcano at 402 metres (1,319 ft) elevation. Located in Buriram Province, Thailand. Built of sandstone and laterite between the 10th and 13th centuries. It was a Hindu shrine dedicated to Shiva, and symbolises Mount Kailash, his heavenly dwelling.

First visit to this historic site. It's a large area but a pity to see many buildings left with just pillars or stones lying on the ground.
One can only imagine how majestic this place was during its peak!

One of the best places I saw in Thailand. It is built on the top of a dead volcano. The steep stairs and the park around is very suggestive. A must see if you are in buriram.

It is a very beautiful and vast historical place. You have to buy tickets to enter. Parking space is huge. But there is two entry gates with parking. You have to exit the way you had entered otherwise there is huge distance between both gates. This place is a must visit place for history lovers

Visiting the Phanom Rung historical park was such a stunning and breathtaking moment. See this place as just a picture was unmatched to the actual visiting experience. Most of the architecture, decoration, and cravings are in excellent condition and very well-maintain by staffs. Tourist guide was really eager to tell the story and any facts about the temple. The area is also very clean and peaceful, comparing with other historical parks. There were a lot of tourists by the time we visited but it didn't diminish the magnificent of this place. Totally worth the visit✨️

Phanom Rung Historical Park is one of the most beautiful and important Khmer ruins in Thailand. While the park is 1 hour from the city of Buriram by car, it is worth the visit.
It had multiple entrances. The front entrance is better for first time visitors as you will see the park at its most beautiful. The back entrance is less strenuous and recommended for older people.

It was really nice to see the stone roof and door guardian
You can park in carpark 3 and pay an extra 50 baht but it saves the climb up the steps, for those who have trouble

My visit to Wat Phanom Rung in Thailand was truly inspiring. This ancient temple, perched atop an extinct volcano in the Isaan region, is a hidden gem accessible by train or bus to Nang Rong, followed by a short drive.
Considerations:
Dress modestly, covering shoulders and knees.
A small entrance fee is required.
Visit during the cooler hours of early morning or late afternoon.
My Experience:
Wat Phanom Rung is a mesmerizing temple complex with Khmer architecture dating back over a millennium. Its intricate carvings and bas-reliefs depict Hindu mythology, showcasing remarkable craftsmanship.
Exploring its chambers and galleries was like stepping back in time. The panoramic views from the summit are breathtaking, and the temple's alignment with the equinoxes adds to its mystique.
Observing Buddhist rituals and meditating in its courtyards allowed me to connect with the temple's spiritual essence. Wat Phanom Rung is a testament to Thailand's rich cultural heritage and offers a profound, soul-stirring experience.

One of Thailand's legendary historical sites: Phanom Rung. Spectacular sunrise shining straight through 15 perfectly aligned doorways of the ancient monastery thanks to brilliant architectural design. Locals believe if they see the sun shining through all the 15 doors they are about to acquire power and good luck.
These phenomena can be observed 4 times a year:
Sunset 4 – 7 March
Sunrise 2 – 5 April
Sunrise 8 – 10 September
Sunset 5 – 8 October

Nakhon Ratchasima Zoo, also known as Korat Zoo, is a spacious 218-acre zoo that houses a wide variety of African animals. In addition to the animals, visitors can explore the reptile house and children's zoo while enjoying the beautiful gardens. The zoo also features a water park for those looking to cool off in the hot weather. Good for a family visit, easy to navigate, and the animals appeared in good health. Enclosures were large for most animals, which was a relief to see, as animal welfare should be a priority at any zoo. The signage is in the native language, so not as foreign tourist friendly in that regard.

There are many animals and it is very spacious. There is a water park and there are small stores along the way when you look at all the animals. You can rent bikes and golf cart to ride in the zoo or you can buy tickets to go on the bus that will take you around the zoo. :)

A nice place to visit for a quick getaway from urban life. Most of the animals are housed in spacious enclosures instead of cages, with some enclosures allowing animals (like giraffes) to get close to the edge and interact with people. It's a bit more of an "open concept" concept" design compared to some other zoos around the world. Entry tickets are also quite affordable.
You can either make your way through the zoo on foot, rent a bicycle or rent a golf cart that accomodates a max of 4 people (driving license required for golf cart).
Do take note that there are very few sheltered areas, so you won't be able to escape the hot sun most of the time. Bring an umbrella in case it rains!
Russell Tan — Google review
I've been to this zoo twice before but my holidaying visitors wanted to go so off we went
I am an Englishman with a Thai ID card and as I greeted the gate staff politely 🙏I was allowed to enter for Thai price 👍
I must say some improvements have been made especially to the toilets so a good start
We hire a golf buggy for 3 hours for 500baht and I'm sure that price has dropped 🙄
2 hours is not long enough but we had other plans later in the day
We watched the Tigers being fed and my family fed the giraffes and deer so they were happy
All in all a very nice few hours that could have stretched to 4 hrs easily
Worth a visit for sure 🙏

This zoo is a nice vacation spot especially for a family with young children who enjoy nature. The zoo is nicely spread out. If you love walking, it is enjoyable on foot, but with small children, you may want to use a stroller, or rent a bicycle to help you get around (from 20-70 bhat per bike depending on the type of bike you choose.) The zoo tram is another good option for getting around. It costs 20 bhat or less per person. They also have gulf carts you can rent, but those are 300 bhat per hour.
The seal show is enjoyable. It shows at 11 am and 2 pm. The trainers work very well with the animals. They also show a few others to start out. My kids (ages 3 and 5) both love the show!
If you are interested in learning about the snakes of the area, there is a nice display in air conditioning with many area snakes. It is a nice reprieve from the heat. These are right across from the seal show.
Monkeys are in natural areas with motes separating them from passers by. It is a nice, more natural setting.
There are also the normal animals at the zoo, lions, tigers, sun bears, giraffes, elephants, hippos, crocodile and kangaroos to name a few.
If you come in early July, you may be able to find some peacock feathers.

Very nice spacious zoo. Paid Thai people price for tickets (we are not Thai), but the dual pricing is advertised on the ticket booth. We got there on a rainy afternoon, the place was quiet and breathy, enjoyed the weather a lot.
Renting a golf cart recommended (300 baht per hour). Tram and bicycles are available too.
Animals are well-kept, although some seemed a bit lonely. I hope the gorgeous African elephant will get a mate.

Great zoo! My daughter and I had alot of fun here. Rented a bike and cycled all over. Not like western zoos were everything is so strict! Were deer all over the place and the distance to the animals is much closer because there aren't as many fences between you and the animals. I really enjoyed this. Saw the seal performance as well, that was also interesting. You can get here for 8 bhat if you use the transport from kohert. Was crazy to only pay 8 bhat for the entire way..
This is a beautiful and peaceful area, easily worth the drive.
The structure itself is impressive, set amongst scenic lakes and trees. I found the mood to be quiet and reflective while wandering the grounds.
Upon entering the temple, one cannot help but to be immediately impressed by the golden statue. As we progressed inward, the scale became even more apparent. I was also struck by the immaculate state the temple is kept in.
I really enjoyed this visit.

Jim Thompson Farm is an ideal destination for families, showcasing picturesque flower fields that are meticulously landscaped. Visitors can also witness demonstrations of silk production and explore a charming Isaan-style village, which provides a glimpse into traditional Thai culture. The farm offers plenty of engaging activities to keep both adults and children entertained all day long. If you're someone who loves Instagram-worthy locations, this place is definitely worth a visit.
This farm is amazing. Not only beautiful flowers and rice fields you can take photos with, you can also learn the way of life of Northeastern 'Esan' Thai people. This place exhibits about the Thai rices and silks. You can learn the silkworm's circle of life and how people got the silk thread from the silkworm's cocoons.

5 stars for this beautiful farm and amazing silk. 1 star for double standard in pricing rule and charge triple entry price for foriners. I found it very disappointing and discriminatory. Jim Thompson company has a global presence and should avoid this kind of practice

No pumpkin, no decorate. Rice exhibition is too small. If you unready, please except and come back again when you realy want to do it.

Arrived and paid for the promotion price to get into the garden.
Here is the place where you can take your time, feel the breeze , smell the scent of flowers blossom. Beautiful and perfect place to take pictures with flowers.
There are trams offering shuttle services between zones.
It only opens for one month a year, which is in December for tourists.
Overall a pleasant experience and really enjoyable.

A very nice place to visit as a couple or family. Lots of flowers and pretty scenery. There's a tram ride that takes you around the farm. You can get off the tram to take a picture and catch the next tram. Food inside the farm is very very expensive. I recommend getting lunch and snacks at the entrance. The ticket to get in is kinda pricey.

Nothing much here to explore. Stack of pumpkin hill for people to take photo.
Area very big, need shuttle bus from point to point.
There is no queue system for the shuttle bus, everyone will need to run and rush, saw family with elderly got hard time to get into the shuttle bus.

Big area to walk. We come in the morning around 11am and find that the place is a little too hot to enjoy walking around. There is quite a lots of variety of flower and plants in the farm but feels a little too artificial to be a real farm. More like a tourist attraction.

Constructed in 1974, the Lam Takhong Dam provides an opportunity to witness scenic views of both the lake and surrounding peak areas. Visitors can partake in outdoor activities such as hiking and cycling amidst the beautiful foothills.
Flora Park, located in Wang Nam Khiao, is a serene floral garden featuring vibrant flower beds and well-maintained shrubs. Visitors can explore eight different zones housing over 400 plant varieties by hopping on a shuttle bus. However, it's advisable to be prepared for potential traffic and hot weather with hats and other essentials. The park offers a pleasant way to spend time surrounded by beautiful flowers and open spaces.
Nice flower garden with an observation deck.
The deck has a "mini teamLab" room for a little fun.
There is also a rose garden at the back with a shuttle bus run every hour.
Recommend to go in the late afternoon because it was too hot even in Feb.
Restaurant and cafe on site are pretty good and reasonable price.

This is a very nice place. We went in January and the prices went down already. 150 for adult and 100 THB for kids (I think 90/100cm to 130cm) and people over 60.
There is a shuttle bus to the Rose Garden which is also very nice.

Beautiful flowers. Should visit.
Note:
- prepare yourself ready such as toilet, food, drinks. Sometime it has terrible traffic while you are stuck on the road in the middle of nowhere.
- hat: it’s hot and strong sun there after open hours.
- avoid to go there during raining season
- dust from soil road, mainly the zone is not cemented so dust from the ground mixing in the strong winds would make you feel dusty on your face and clothes.

nice place, pleasant way to spend a few hours with some flowers and open space. the drive in the foothills is nice as well.
not too expensive 100 baht, a few souvenirs available as well as orchids available to purchase.
they have a nice displays to walk thru. seperate they have the rose garden with a pond and orchids for display and purchase. this area seems newer and has signs of ongoing expansion.
would like to see more expansion. something along idea of several 10-20 rai area each set up with classic themes. Japanese koi pond and garden, English rose, Italian med, French vineyard ect
such as the rose garden and pond could be done in classic English rose garden style with walkway to display the roses, border hedges of boxwood, use a classic geometric design of a rectangle divided in rose quarters, center fountain ect.
a Japanese style garden with a Koi pond would it's own destination. could do walkway bridges thru the pond to both view koi as well as show Japanese architecture, add Japanese maples, bonsai
if they did 8 or 10 areas it would be more of a destination than just a pleasant afternoon.
if staying for a weekend there is the national park close, korat zoo and several temples to see.

Located in Khao Yai National Park, Haew Narok Waterfall is the largest and highest waterfall in the park. It consists of three tiers and is particularly popular during the rainy season. To reach the viewpoint for this beautiful cascade, visitors must walk approximately 1 kilometer from the main road. The waterfall stands at about 150 meters high and is known for its steepness and strong currents, which add an element of danger to its beauty.
One of the better waterfalls, at least for water drop and volume. Aside from the discriminatory and excessive 500 baht for foreigners to enter the park this is one of the better parks to visit, in part to see the waterfalls and the hike through a wet forest. The walk to the falls takes you down some steep stairs, but it is worth it. Definitely worth a visit, and but for the excessive fees I'd go again. In addition to the falls, just the ride through the park is very nice.

It's a very nice half day driving trip. Driving here will pass through most of the National Park and get great lookout views. Beware the aggressive monkeys at the carpark. Our chips got stolen from the car by one. Walking down the trail is easy. Coming back up is another story.... Take your time and enjoy the view.
Tan Tian-An — Google review
The haew Narok waterfall is a transliteration of the valley of hell waterfall, and that name is tragically too apt, as about three years ago, over twenty elephants perished, (jumping down the ravine), in an effort to save one calf that had fallen.
As a tourist attraction, it's the leading one in Khao Yai.
It's free, there's a pleasant path of, I guess, 500m, ending in about four rather steep sets of steps which lead down to an observation area.
It's fairly impressive, about a 90m drop, I think, and is of course best viewed in the rainy season, albeit it falls all year...

It's difficult to imagine that is startlingly beautiful National Park is only 2 1/2 hours from Bangkok. It's well worth the entrance fee for foreigners of 400thb and there are even campgrounds if you want. If you go about 15 minutes outside the park there's more than enough hotels to satisfy every budget. Haew Narok waterfall has a well equiped parking area so you can grab a snack going in or coming out. Please be sure to pack out and trash as to not spoil this marvelous nature area.

Quite a long walk ...and a bit too steep for small children or old people. But the path is well built and well maintained.

I recently visited Haew Narok Waterfall and it was a truly breathtaking experience! While it's a bit of a trek to get there - about a 15-minute walk from the entrance along a 1km path - the journey is well worth it.
The stairs to reach the waterfall base are quite steep, so it's important to be prepared and have some stamina. But once you arrive, you'll be rewarded with stunning views of this beautiful waterfall. Even though the water volume was not massive at the time of my visit, the waterfall was still a sight to behold.
The natural beauty of Haew Narok Waterfall is truly mesmerizing, and the sound of the cascading water is incredibly peaceful. It's the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and connect with nature.
Overall, I highly recommend a visit to Haew Narok Waterfall to anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful outdoor experience. Just make sure to bring comfortable shoes and be prepared for a bit of a workout on the stairs!

The waterfall was stunning especially after the rain.
Walking down and up the long stairs could be challenging. But it was worth the effort. Prepare to walk around 20 - 30 minutes each way with steep stairs.
Be careful of leeches especially around the wet area of the track.
Please help keep this beautiful clean by leaving no trash there.

This course knows how to make their customers feel welcome. From the moment you drop off your bag, you are made to feel welcome.
The course has a great layout with short and long holes, exceptionally well maintained with excellent, challenging greens—very strategic bunker placements.
The caddies, are some of the most well trained I have encountered. From knowing your club selection to reading the greens. Very few courses in Thailand can say they have caddies like this.

It's a wonderful course, and well managed. In Thailand they tend to pack the tee times too close together so sometimes play will be slow. At this location, they tend to space things out generally ok. The course is in great condition, and I would recommend playing here. Possibly one of my favorite tracks here in Thailand.
March 2023: I need to recall my comments about time management. I think the speed was acceptable only due to covid in Asia. Recently this course is the same as others in Thailand which means waiting from tee box to tee box. Today's round took 5 hours. As illustrated in the photo, people wait for hole #1.

Oh wow, this place was like no other holy site I've ever visited. Without intending any disrespect, it was sort of like a spiritual Disneyland, with so many different ways & forms of devotion. Giant statues of Krishna, Ganesha, Quan Yin, a floating lotus on the river, golden boys & Ganesha's vehicle Mooshaka who will hear your wish & make it come true. It is a holy place, and reverent but it's also boisterous & colorful & playful. There are live elephants here. As in most situations I didn't feel too confident it was the most humane life for elephants so if you worry a lot about that you might not like it. But they seemed content. It was just my uneasiness about the elephants that made not give this place a 5.

Wat Saman Rattanaram is a strange place, and I don't mean anything negative by saying like that. The Wat Saman Rattanaram is a combination of a Buddhist temple area and a market place. The temple area is, of course, full of worship figures - but prepare to implosion: Among the worship figures you find fairy tale figures, too, like Spider Man. Why not bow infront of a fairy tale figures? Attached to the holy? But don't you eat there at Wat Saman Rattanaram? There are street kitchen restaurants to eat. Don't you buy different things from many shops there? There is even 7-Eleven there... or don't you just spend time there and let your children play on the playground? But these are very ordinary things, aren't they? Buddhism is very skillfull to combine the holy and the ordinary, it is at times seen actually in every Wat. They are places to meet other people, friends, neighbours, relatives, even to do business when it's a market time... I see Wat Saman Rattanaram as a big practical Zen Koan. The holy and the ordinary, side by side, or rather mixed. But isn't Buddhist enlightenment the most ordinary thing? Return to the real, that is, return to the everyday? Okay, be it like it is, when you leave Wat Saman Rattanaram, there are many shops on the left side of the road selling cleaning tools. Remember to clean when at home.

This place is huge... there are multiple buildings as well as a market to explore. Besides the huge and impressive statues, there is also a big 🪷 lotus shaped structure in the river you can walk out to (not sure if this is a permanent fixture). They have some animals you can feed and pop culture statues that should excite the kids. We spent 4 hours here. Nearby there is a hospital which has a newly constructed statue and a big golden rock you can go inside, check that out too if you have time. You can take a tuk tuk from Chachoengsao station to the temple's market, just be aware it's not that easy to come back from the temple. They have trucks that come back to the bus station and train station, check the times after you arrive. Highly recommended. Entry is free.

Wat Saman is located near the Bang Pakong Dam. Inside is the enshrined of the largest reclining Ganesha Buddha image in Thailand that most people come to worship. There is also a museum inside the temple. It is a collection of stories about the temple and Ganesha for tourists to know as well.

There are thirty two popular iconographic forms of Ganesha and all of them can be seen around the base of this Reclining Ganesha. Amazing club with 5 Star facilities and first class service. Challenging golf course with fairways and greens in excellent condition. Certainly prices are not budget level so be prepared to pay but excellent. Restaurant food is amazing and overall it's an amazing experience. Highly recommended

Well known 5 stars golf course in Thailand, located about 40-45 minutes from downtown Bangkok by car. This course is not open to public but only for members or member’s guests. Play fee for guest is quite expensive but comparable to other 5 stars golf courses surrounding Bangkok. Course itself is well maintained with challenging layout. Distance between blue tee and white tee is rather big difference. High handicap golfer should go for white tee.

Everything from arriving to departure was great. They have a cashless system where you pay everything when you leave, like being a member and putting on an account. Very nice.
The course was in amazing condition. Caddie was sweet and she knew what she was doing.
To be fair, I didn’t have a good day but it was to nice not to like it.

Well well, another cattle herding facility: not recommended. Busses of big groups. Ticket counters and waiting areas. Factory-like processing of tourists. Mass feeding on fruit buffets. See a fruit orchard from the safe seat of your train. No need to walk or move. Buffet is decent - but you better eat a lot to make it worth the money. Specials like Durian are extra. The fruit itself is really delicious. Would I come back? Definitely NOT!

Come here to introduce your self Durian, Rambutan and some other exotic fruits in the fruit season. You get fruits, salads and chicken thighs buffet with ticket B, for 350 bahts. with ticket A, higher priced, you get durians as well. Tram Bus takes you to the buffet, that is first stop later, tour around the farm. You can take pictures with Durian trees. There is a sheep farm next to it also. Camping and caravanning you can do here, there is a small pond next to it. But I didn't find durian sold here cheap. It was 250 per kg. Normally 150 right in the centre of Pattaya where farmers sell direct to consumers.

Suan Lamai (sheep farm) is a very large garden and farm that grows a diverse range of fruits and flowers. One can easily spend most of a day exploring the area. You can purchase fresh produce, flowers or feed the sheep. There are several places to eat, indoors and outside. Dress comfortably and wear. Comfortable shoes or sandals. Be prepared to walk a lot. The terrain is hilly, but there are buses to take you to the higher areas. A beautiful and fun place to visit.

Khao Kheow Open Zoo is an exotic destination that offers a unique experience of witnessing African mammals, tigers and apes in their natural habitats. Located amidst the hills and dense jungle, this zoo is divided into two zones - green and pink. You can choose to rent a tram or golf cart to explore the park. The animals are kept in their natural habitats, making it feel like you're on a real safari adventure.
I came here in the morning on the weekend. There weren't many people in the morning. Entry price is 250 baht for adults. If you come to Thailand, you should definitely come here. There are many animals inside. You feel very close to them as it is open zoo. You also have the chance to feed many animals. I fed an elephant and it was very enjoyable. There are also wild monkeys as it is an open zoo. You should pay attention to these. They can harm you or steal your belongings. Since the zoo is very large, I definitely recommend renting a golf cart. Not too expensive just 500 baht. 4 people can use it.
Caner BA?DATLI — Google review
I like it, always nice to get some open air and interact with animals. some visits are up to the animals, are they sleeping, eating, playing. the set shows of the March of the penguins is constant and usually popular and can buy snack to feed them on stage. the swimming with elephants is always popular and when busy people need to que up early for the next show. feeding the elephants and giraffes is also popular and a good photo opportunity. this year traffic was down and there seemed to be less animals. they are also upgrading a couple of the parking lots. easy to park, can ride several available trolleys or rent a electric golf cart for a fee about 500 baht and up depending on size and time 4 seats or 6 seats a couple hours or more.
the carts are nice but the trolleys work well and you only need a cart to go to the big cat , guar, Australia section. the rest is close enough to walk easily.
watch out for the roaming monkeys. some are aggressive to snatch food or a purse out of your hands, will climb into carts looking for snacks. usually don't fear you and can chase a person out of a cart. if they see a cane, walking stick or slingshot they usually will leave you alone.
there are several well placed snack and restroom options.
Jaek Wels — Google review
When you enter the zoo, you think this is going to be an amazing place where all of the animals can roam around. Unfortunately, this is not the case for animals. The elephant show is too much! The chains before the show and so on are not okay - I wish my kid didn't have to see this.
Pink zone is very small, and after pink zone, there is nothing - the park seems to be abandoned at the end of the park - very strange feeling
Overall a nice park, but they could do better for some animals
Gilles Van geit — Google review
Totally in love with this open zoo! This is my first time visit, staff is very nice and polite. We parked the car at parking lot, bought ticket, adult 150 THB each, and 80THB for parking lot. You can rent buggy 500THB per 2 hours (can sit up to 4) or EV 3 wheel bike 350THB per 2 hrs including insurance (can sit 2).
The zoo is very large, you can see and feed eld's deer outdoor. Many money! Be careful of you belogging, they love to steal things.
We rent EV 3 wheels bike and drove along the green zone, you can enjoy seeing hippo, sloth, capybara. They are all cute and look very healthy!
Overall i had a very good experience here and will definitely come back to see more shows.

1. It was a good zoo.
2. Some animals like seal and many others looked sad and almost about to die because of their isolation and drugs.
3. Golf cart is a must to roam around (extra charges).
4. The map of the zoo is available and the posters of the map too.
5. Feeding animals are also there but very sad to see them like that

Fantastic place to bring young kids and the family for weekends activities. Ensure to come to this zoo early in the day as it does get very hot after lunch hours. There's wide variety animals around the zoo and many of them, we can bring the young kids up close with the animals. Food and snacks sell in the zoo is selling at premium, hence I would recommend to bring some snacks for the family. The zoo is massive can and There's the zoo hourly bus that's goes around as well as you can rent the gulf cart to goes around. I would recommend to do planing well as it's impossible to see everything, best to prioritize and plan

One of Thailand's largest zoos contains over 300 animal species in the 2000 acre forest area. Buy the tickets at the entry or the new parking area and then take the free hop-in-tram bus or choose the golf cart (rates apply 550 Baht with the insurance for two hours). Go around the various themed zones and enjoy. Well-maintained, and the staff are kind to help. Every area has snacks, beverage stalls, food courts, 7-Eleven convenience stores, restaurants, and restrooms. You can drive the golf cart or your vehicle to zone 3. Children enjoy and have fun and exciting experience with nature.
Tony Gonzalez — Google review
A nice zoo for a family outing. The drive to the zoo was awesome; you have to drive around 5km in the depths of a rural area to get to the zoo and the air was amazing on the ride up. Golf carts of 4 and 7 seats are available for personal hire. There are 2 zones. Zone 1/ Zone blue is accessible by walking and golf cart. The majority of animals are there and are within their enclosures. There are monkeys running around so be careful of your belongings and not going near mother monkeys with children (they might bite ya >:3 ). Zone pink is mostly treaded by your own vehicle and has zones for different animals, i.e Australia zone and cat complex. It's a whole day thing and mostly outdoor so plan a whole day for this. Best for kids, since it's just a zoo and not much else. They do have animal shows which can be entertaining. Overall, a great place for a family outing.
Ibrahim Dawoodjee — Google review
Highly recommend renting your own buggy 500 THB and discover the zoo in the most exciting and convenient way. Before entering the zoo's big entrance, turn left and walk 2 minutes to the buggy station. The zoo is huge, walking is abit too much as there are many slopes, or you can take the public tram which runs very often. Many families ride the buggy with grandparents and kids, it is very adorable and fun. The animals here seem to be well taken care of as I noticed their living spaces are well built, clean and spacious. If you're on your way to Pattaya, this place is definitely worth a visit for 2hrs. There are many fast foods and refreshment stations inside with reasonable prices. There is a 7Eleven at the entrance. Easy to find toilets also, no tissue. Best to visit right after opening hrs to avoid the long queue at the buggy rental. You will need to deposit your ID for the buggy, and abit of good driving skill is highly recommended.

A very nice zoo. The monkeys walk around the park. It is very pleasing to the eye. It was disappointing to see that in part of the trip there were some cages that were a little empty. The advantage is that there are many food stalls throughout the park.

Well maintained zoo. Awesome penguins show. The white lion and tiger are majestic. You have to take a car or you can rent a chair car to travel within the zoo. The entrance fee is 250/person.
Sarath Jasrin — Google review
Better than Safari World! The golf buggy made it so much more fun and easy to get around the zoo in the heat! Love how some animals can roam around the zoo freely! Very recommended!
Nichi B — Google review
This is very poor value for money 350baht entry +500 for a golf buggy for 2, it felt more like visiting Jurassic park 2... There was no direction for the visit from the staff there.
There are hardly any animals in here compared to the past, many empty enclosures and there is no clear timetable for the shows which happen ~3x a day.
The enclosures are old, half abandoned, falling apart and the grounds are overgrown and unkempt. It felt like a ghost zoo.
We noticed one man zooming around on his moped the whole time shouting at the animals, waving a stick and throwing bananas into the enclosures to make it look Interesting. It was more disturbing.
Be warned the monkeys are roaming everywhere and will steal belongings if left unattended.
The caged cats look emaciated and show signs of stress, I left feeling so sad for the animals welfare/future.
I would have asked for a refund but by 4.45pm hardly any staff were around, I didn't see any near the exit.

Very big zoo, you can drive through on some parts, or rent a golf cart, there is tram.train too. There penguin, feeding and elephant swimming show. Lots of animals are open in the air. Some so close you can touch them. Great day out for a family with children.

Interesting experience at the zoo. Some shows included an elephant swimming and penguins walking to the stage to get fed by tourists or anyone who wants to pay money to feed them.
Very open zoo, did a lot of walking but preferably you should hire a golf kart or take the public round trip safari buses as each area is quite far from the other.
Place is still under construction.

+ You can buy cheap tickets when you arrive
+ You can rent a golf cart and drive around the whole zoo at your own speed.
+ Many animals to see, monkeys, deer, hippo, elephant, lion, tigers, birds, capybaras, giraffes and aquatic animals
+ Monkeys roam the zoo freely, don't get too close or they'll chase you
+ You can feed and interact with some animals. Such as penguins and giraffe.
Tantawat H — Google review
The space is beautiful and set in an already natural beauty. There is a lot of space and animals are a bit far from each other which makes me believe that it would've been nicer to see the animals with some more space. The enclosures are run down and sincerely too small, especially when there's so much space around.
A big chunk of the zoo is to visit by car seeing that each enclosure is 500m from the previous one. It would've been nice to see that info somewhere.
They basically feed the animals by selling the guests feed. Great business plan but still feels like a steal as every movement inside costs extra.
Not my favourite zoo, but not the worst either. I plan to return as I haven't had the chance to visit half of it and the kid loved it.
Pedro Bernardo — Google review
Best place to spend morning time with family. The park is full of green and feels more like in natural surroundings. Shows are in various areas and timings are different so better check in their website for more details. Renting a self-driving golf cart is best option if traveling with family.

Lot of monkey they are run freely around the zoo but they are super cute. And dont forget to watch the free show like penguin and elephant swimming. And here is really clean and the ticket is not expensive.

Could be better if more indicators signs would show where you are, where is the next place to visit. When you pay 300b for the entry, a paper map will be helpful. Chimpanzees or orangutans cannot be seen after 4pm, so you need to arrive early. Rent a golf cart because you will need to walk a lot!
Claude Xxxx — Google review
A nice place to hang out with family and friends. You can encounter animals closely. They have a good variety of animal species.
Renting a golf car which is 2 hours validated is the best choice to move around in the zoo.

The Dao De Tian Ling Gong temple, also known as the Shrine of Na Jia Tai Jeu, in Ang Sila, Chonburi is a vast and elaborate complex with a lavish fountain and decorated pavilions. The temple houses numerous colorful statues of Chinese deities and provides ample parking space without any entrance fee. Though it has a bustling commercial vibe, it is still an ideal place to visit for those who enjoy exploring temples or seeking blessings for health, wealth, and wisdom.
A enormous temple complex.
I think this is a place you need to go if you like seeing temples. In my opinion you can compare it with Viharn Sien in Pattaya. Many statues. There is enough parking space. No entrance fee.

It is located in Angsila, Chonburi. Visited here when we were on the way to Pattaya. The temple is huge. Majestic. That I think pictures can't tell how magnificent the temple is.
There are some floors and you can view the town of Angsila at the top of the floors.
There are a lot of wall paintings in the temple. Too many. But it seems all the painting is in Chinese words.
There is no entrance fee when we enter. we parked our car outside but saw some people able to park their car inside but I'm not sure how.
Overall it is definitely worth to pay a visit when you are in Chonburi.

Khao Sam Muk is a well-known mountain peak that provides magnificent panoramic views of the bay and is considered a local emblem of protection. This massive dike may be one of the largest in the world, but it is not very clean due to its abundance of monkeys. You can climb to the summit using stairs, where you will be rewarded with stunning views of the ocean. If you continue up the road, Monkey Hill awaits where you can overlook the city.

the more you go uphill, the more hungry the monkeys. i went to the very uphill place wich you can only go by feet next to a little temple and the monkeys there were very importunate to get food out of my bagpack. specially the alpha males. you should buy all the food downhill.
rating what the apes like:
1. eggs
2. tomatoes
3. pudding

Good and quiet location with views of the mountain and a nice man-made lake. The accommodations are a bit old and dusty. Some areas in the resort need a facelift. But overall it's still good especially for camping activities.

Great for kids but food and drink on site is a bit expensive. Lots of places and activities for kids and awesome scenery. Cool swimming pool and lake with kids boats.

Ghost town, looks dead, we only go there for coffee when cycling through the area, very poor hot latte using carnation milk. Strangely a security guard at the entrance wants money for entering, for what? 😔

Soo beautiful, but they should have called it Holland Town. I saw many buildings and displays from my country there. Great restaurant and many sport facilities. Great for Families, schools and groups.

A good place to stay to explore the nearby rayong attractions. The resort itself is nice to explore and we mostly covered all of it in half a day, with boating, zip line and treetop style strenuous adventure. The drive around the resort is also quite nice with un and down hills on a straight road. Would be nice to cycle on as well. It has great value as well!

There is nothing in Strawberry Town but a few sheep to feed. And they were dirty and not well cared for. There is a cafe, but the cheesecake was old and stale. I do not recommend Strawberry Town at all. We did not stay at the Resort so no comment on that.

Very out-of-the-way place definitely a place to relax unfortunately the hotel is older but it is clean room service closes at 8 p.m. that's the only way you're going to get food the next place is a 29 km drive away so make sure it's either go to their restaurants or get food and bring back to the hotel with you no microwave in room but there is a hot pot to make tea or coffee we need a very beautiful place if all the little shops we're open but everything was closed made the place feel like a ghost town

The hotel room in the resort was okay. It was spacious. The bed didn't add any pains to my back when sleeping, so it's good enough. The bathroom was okay; the water heater took a minute before functioning properly. The only problem was that the room was located so far away from the lobby so it took ages ofvwalking to get things like hot water.
The resort itself offers a great restaurant, photogenic European-style buildings, and adventurous sports. So, it's a perfect place for friends and family whose member might have different cups of tea.

It's very chilly, comfortable, beautiful and romantic place to stay on the mountains. Also great for family trips. They have 5 activities, one ticket for tourists costs approx 200 baht. Can either stay in a private cottage or hotel room. Very friendly staff, good cleaning service. At lobby can rent a bicycle, can play table football (forgot name honestly 🤪). Also have dart board, two pool tables. The swimming pool is pretty big enough and the deepest part us approx 1.50 - 1,75 cm, have also pool for kids, nice view from there. Foods are really very good and have many shops inside hotel that you can do small shopping.

I was there for a running event which seems to be well-utilize the place fully. I can see that there are photo spots, an event hall, and plenty of parking (not counting the day I was there). It is an interesting place to stay to get away from the city life.

This is the most terrible place. If you actually think this is entertainment, then you have something very wrong with you. The tigers are kept in beyond cruel conditions, and many are pathetically thin. They have no natural enrichment at all. They are all exhibiting distressed behaviours, such as pacing. These places should be illegal, and SHAME on you if you visit. I visited for the purposes of research, and I found it deeply, deeply distressing. 95% of the visitors I saw were Indian. The Thai government should close these places down.

Nice little zoo with the option to interact with animals. Small kids will love it. We liked it due to the small size and it was not crowded at all. Also the entry fee is nominal..

They're abusing animals here. The animals are unhappy. They have cages that are too small, overcrowded, and with too few toys inside. They ride on elephants. The elephants are tied up in a way that they can't move. You can see how sad they are. The sight breaks your heart. This should be banned.
Tusia Puszkiewicz — Google review
A nice mini zoo, the entrance fee can use as money to buy food and water along with food for feeding animals.
The zoo is not that big, with a great atmosphere and many places to take a photo. You can ride a horse and elephants. The riding horse fee is 2 rounds for 200 Baht, 30 mins for 500 Baht. The coach is very nice and teaches a lot of tricks before riding.

This isn’t how the majority of these animals are supposed to live. Do not visit. They are wild animals, not small pets that can be locked up in small cages.

Suppatraland is a fascinating destination that features a tram ride through an orchard with an abundance of exotic tropical fruits to relish. The venue boasts a variety of delectable fruits, including the highly-anticipated durian that's set to begin its buffet by the end of April. Despite undergoing closure due to COVID-19, the facilities are still decent and being refurbished.
Went to a wedding reception hosting 450 people. Very well done. Typical table of 8 separate dishes served one at a time. Live music.

Ticket zone need renovation. It looks a bit not clean. But the staff are fun, having great service mind and totally helpful. Very impressive with how they treat their plantation. The durian, nothing to explain or complain. Come and eat, this is a place for durian lover.

Ammy Chanhom — Google review
Five years ago we had a nice, informative trip, we enjoyed a lot to Suphattraland to learn about the Thai fruits, to see how they are growing in the nature included the fresh fruit tasting.
Decided to repeat the tour and it was a very bad decision. 10-15 minute quick ride around the plantation and we were left in a huge pavillion to taste the fruits ( last time we had them right from the plants ) and to get a somtam with some chicken sticks... BTW they were really enjoyable.
After 1.5 hour waiting we moved on the other side of the street to see a honey promotion.
And that's it, the tour is ended.
A bit steep to pay for that 650 Baht. Maybe for the durian lovers worth it.

This place is 450rai garden with lots of fruit trees and herbal center. Fruit picking. 650 bhat entry fee. The carts could pickup to locations. Unlimited Buffett available inside with fruits, BBQ, mini donuts and papaya salad.

Recommend to book the tickets before enter, the park is very strict on number of visitors to the park. The park is massive and we were place on the park designated vehicle that takes us around the park with explanations of each plant. Towards the end of our tour, the driver drop us off at where the buffet food was. There we can have as much fruits (including durian). As a durable lover, I would say the quality of durian at the park is not as good as the durian that you could get from the market.

Big private fruit farm-total 800rai(1282644 ㎡). Walk in entrance fee was 500thb, you can take shuttle car and look around farm. There are many fruit-trees, you can see how it is growing. There is fruit eating section, it’s fruits buffet, and Somtam, pork bbq, chicken bbq as well. However, quality of fruits were too poor, if those fruits are from this farm, I’m not gonna buy any fruits. They might sell good quality fruits to market and give customers low quality fruits which cannot sell to market. In same reason, I didn’t buy honey. It is okay to look around here, but hope the owner make customers’ entrance fee worthy-1.upgrade fruits quality-esp mango was half spoiled 2. Upgrade service of employees ; seems like everybody is angry.

Came here after seeing good review and interesting coverage on youtube. The ticket per pax is 690b for both adult and children. The main attraction was all you can eat durian but the durian we tasted was of poor quality. i noticed that they actually selected durians that has white growth and black decoloration on them. It tasted pretty blend and was a totally disappointing experience. It is not worth the hefty 690b ticket price.

This coastal summer palace was once used by royalty and now serves as a public tourist destination with stunning ocean views and gardens. Visitors can spend an hour or two exploring the beach, gardens, cafe, and mountain-top temple. Upon entering, pay respect to King Rama V whose statue stands on the right side of the entrance. Aussada Bridge offers a picturesque location for taking photos. This historical landmark is a must-visit attraction on the island despite being crowded.
Extremely picturesque location, with great parks and sea views, combined either remaining mansions and mysterious shapes of old dismantled throne hall...

Ko Sichang is a picturesque island that can be easily reached by ferry from Bangkok. It offers various hiking trails, beaches for relaxation and scooter rentals to explore the island. You can hire a bike to travel conveniently from top to bottom and relish local seafood in numerous restaurants. Although it has limited beaches, the stunning sunsets compensate for it. This place is ideal for running enthusiasts as the roads are good with some great hills.
Koh Si Chang, Thailand – Travel Guide
Not to be confused with the much larger and more popular island of ‘Koh Chang’ in Trat province, Koh Si Chang is a magical little island close to Bangkok that exists mostly unknown to international travellers!
This piece of paradise in the Gulf of Thailand only has one beach, which is quite small, and the mountainous terrain makes this an interesting island to explore.
Unlike nearby islands, Koh Si Chang is not a party destination and doesn’t even have any bars in town! With little tourist infrastructure to attract people, the island stays relatively quiet, especially on weekdays. However, despite the laid-back atmosphere, there is plenty to do to keep visitors busy.
Koh Si Chang is primarily a fishing island, and the town is filled with people who make their living from the sea.
Due to the fact that, for the time being, so few foreign travellers visit the island, the majority of residents don’t work in the tourism industry, although this is rapidly changing.
However, at the moment, instead of trying to sell you a cheap souvenir or a snack, locals typically just go about their day and don’t bother travellers. However, don’t think that people here are rude! When you stop to talk to people, you’ll receive nothing but smiles and gracious hospitality. This is the way Thailand is meant to be!
The ferry pulls up to a pier in the heart of town, which is also where are the restaurants and the majority of the attractions are. However, you can rent a motorbike right on the pier which will allow you to head straight to your accommodation if you’re travelling light. Many resorts also offer pick-up from the pier.

A small island off Sri Racha. Getting there is via the public jetty near Sri Racha Park and only cost 50b. This place is a gem
There are little to no foreign tourist and usually consist of locals only. It has a beautiful Palace and one really nice beach. Its not going to be a ko Samui or a ko Chang but its special on its own way. Also, if you can don't miss the native white squirrel here which is found on the southern part of the island. They look beautiful but are very shy.

A beautiful island that is extremely easy and relatively quick to visit from Bangkok. Hire a bike and explore the island from top to bottom very easily. Lots of local seafood restaurants to enjoy. Limited on beaches but the outstanding sunsets make up for it. A great island for running enthusiasts - good roads and some great hills. Stay at one of the local wooden hut b&b’s for a slightly more off grid experience. It’s not for those who are looking to fill their days with activities but more suited to those looking for a complete reset.

Beautiful island peaceful and quiet compare with the tourist crowded Pattaya. But overall the boat service to the island was a nightmare. The fishing boat modified my family and me boarded was lack of safety even thought it has the life jacket equipped. The boat’s boarding walk way was too narrow. An accident happened during my trip back as one local fell to the sea. Just be prepared and caution when travel with elder and children.

What I liked about the small, cozy island of Ko Si Chang: # No cars allowed! Only scooters and stylish tuktuks. # Very little number of tourists, so no noisy night life. # Diversified hilly terrain with super satisfying narrow winding roads for scooter riding (rent your own Zoomer for 300 bht/24h). # Some quiet resorts and natural nooks where you can hide from the world and avoid crowds - good for writers or thinkers perhaps. # Dry microclimate: you feel like in Greece for a change, not a greenhouse. # Wonderful vistas from a promenade to the west and other high points. # Some choice of vegan food in certain restos. # Low prices. # So close to Bkk, 4 hrs by bus and ferry in total. # Smiling friendly locals.
Be aware of sea urchins (bring plastic shoes) and jellyfish in the ocean. Be prepared that life slows down rapidly right after disembarking and you might need some time to get in sync.

Paradise. Small, quaint peaceful little island without too many tourists. Immerse yourself in Thai culuture and be sure to check out the amazing Chinese temple, talk a walk along Asdang pier and catch the sunset from Hat Tham Phang Beach. What I love about this island, it is really accessible from Bangkok and worth the visit with all it’s beauty and wonderful locals. You can eat amazing seafood dishes and ride a rental scooter around the island. You’ll see some wild bore with its young roaming around and the temples and views are gorgeous. Given the island is relatively small, it’s perfect for a weekend getaway i.e. to escape the busy city life with many beautiful options of places to stay to choose from.
