One of the most amazing views in the region - lake/dam + valley views on one side, farmland views on the other.
There's also a temple here and many small shops selling drinks and souvenirs. A must-visit (a bit of a detour though) if you are in the Mahabaleshwar area.

Maharashtra's famous saint Shree Samarth Ramdas swami stayed here. His samadhi is also on this fort. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj would take his guidance. Samarth is founder of many Hanuman temples all over Maharashtra. There are 135 steps to be climbed. On the way u get fresh buttermilk stalls. And you get to see replica of 11 hanuman murti templeshe founded. Free food is served between 12-1

It's good but it's more for spiritual person and not one who comes for enjoyment. There's a small village settled on the fort. You need to climb almost 265 stairs and reach at top. Where you will find samadhi of Shri Samarth Ramdas Swami. That's it !

Overall it was a soulcalming jaunt
The place is tranquil and serene and a perfect day out away from the city chaos, the neatness of the place is the point to mention
Admirable thing about the expedition was there were dustbins all along the path

A very good spiritual come historical place everyone must visit!
As there is a some distance to climb the fort, it would be beneficial to reach there before the sun on head.
Ramdas Swami Sansthan has a great arrangement of Mahaprasad for the devotees coming every afternoon between 12:30PM to 01:30PM
BhaktaNivas of Sansthan provides free and good accommodation facilities to devotees
The fort has idols of eleven Maruti installed by Samarth RamdasThe forest on the fort, the natural structure, the panoramic view of the Urmodi Dam from the back of the fort and the natural rock formations add to the beauty of the fort.Due to the high altitude and lack of medical facilities, it is not advisable to take senior citizens along. The gates of the fort close at 9 pm and are not opened after that till next morning .

Visited this sacred place of Shri Ramdas Swami.. it's devine experience, Prasad during noon time is must have.
Even in this hot summer the environment there seems cool or lighter but only inside premises. Had been here before, but now they have made many changes for pilgrims.
You can stay here and participate in daily rituals that are followed by their disciples.
There are local shops for having butter milk and sharbat while climbing the steps towards the temple to keep you going.
Overall nice experience, would recommend to visit after rains to enjoy the nature and his devine presence .. Jay Jay raghuveer samarth.

This is the fort where samarth Ramdas Swami resided on request of Shivaji Maharaj and then had his samadhi here. Located just 15 km from satara city one can easily reach the fort's base Village Parli.
One has to climb around 100 steps to reach the main entrance of the fort. On this way one can witness 11 maruti idols which were cemented by Ramdas Swami. There are a lot of facilities provided by the trust on the fort like bhakt nivas , drinking water and much more. One must have darshan of samadhi of Ramdas Swami and the Ram mandir. Also having the mahaprasad is a must. The atmosphere is very pleasant and one attains mental peace having Prasad under the trees. There's another maruti temple at the end of the fort. A must visit place near Satara.

Very good view from the back of the temple. There is smadhi sathal of Guru Samarth
Seen lot of people doing evening walk at top of hill. It can be further maintained to become a top attraction in the area. There are about 200 stairs to reach the top of hill but stairs are very easy to climb. There is hand made palki facility for old people also, but not seen any usage. So not sure about it. It is worth to visit this place even if you are not religious people.

Looking at the history of this place and the value this place shall be well maintained and eatables shouldn't be allowed at the main fort.
Place is nice to visit once - you can go in a car till the fort steps or have a treck with your friends either way I would recommend to go in winters. If you visit in summers you should come back till 9-10 am.
Nirmal shah — Google review
When you visit please ensure taking a local guide available at the parking area. It’s a one hour tour and the charges are Rs. 600/- but the knowledge you gain is invaluable. Mere sightseeing is not enough but understanding the history of the place is equally important. Presently restoration work of the fort is underway and may continue for long time. It is not an inconvenience though. There are local restaurants on the fort which provide local cuisine. Ideal time is to reach in the morning, see the fort, have lunch and return. Not recommended in afternoons as the heat can take its toll. After 4 pm could also work. Try carrying cash as the network may not be there and payment could be a problem. Venturing the fort takes you up to about 500 steps in phases (not continuously) and as such elderly people may need to take care.
Sachin Shinde — Google review
This fort is approximately 45 min journey from mahabaleshwar. Plan it in the morning time or after 4 pm for a pleasant weather.
Make sure to book a guide from the base of the fort. The cost will be somewhere around Rs 300. The guide will make the whole trek interesting with many facts , historical dates , he will talk about the construction from a war point of view. And in no time you will reach at the top of the fort. There are some restaurants serving food and snacks in the fort. Make sure to try the churned buttermilk with extra froth. There is one artifact's museum/shop. Most of the things we do get at flea markets but yes as souvenirs there are many options here.
There are many stalls selling tamarind, raw mango slices and berries . It reminded me of my school days . After school it was a ritual to buy it for Rs 1 to 5 and relish it on the way home.
Do not carry snacks or tacky stuff in your hand as there are monkeys roaming around and they are good snatchers.
Sne Pack — Google review
It's a heritage site with lots to see and learn (only if you hire a guide - 600 Rs). We had a wonderful guide, Ravi Raj, a middle aged man, who made the trip worthwhile. There are lots of shops selling food, water and all sorts of cooling drinks (lassi, kokum, etc.). The place should be maintained better, but then it's a private property and not government funded.
There's no parking lot (or parking charges). At the peak time (mornings) if you try driving to the end of the road, you may not be able to get a parking and even get out easily. Suggest you park at the first spot near the road you see, once you've reached near the fort.
Rohith Pisharody — Google review
The fort is good, restoration work is in progress. The fort is encroached upon by locals. There are almost 500 stairs to the top.
There was enough rush during the off season. Parking space is limited. Recommended to go early in the morning or in the evening. The drive to the Pratapgarh is scenic with a lot of ghat section drive.
Need good driving skills if returning from the fort in the night.

It is a beautiful fort with mesmerizing views. You can climb the stairs to view Bronze statues at the top. There are some temples on the way. Also, have a visit to the handcrafted items. Stores outside have an good collection to purchase at a cheap price.
Try not to carry any food items in hand because of the monkeys.

One can imagine the history in this place.thid fort is huge. 500 steps needs to be climbed to go top. On the way there is a temple, lot of eatery options are available. The people living inside the fort are the descendents of Shivaji Maharaj's army. Today also the fort tradition is followed where the main gate is opened at 8am and closed at 8pm. A view of Sahyadri can be taken.

Elephants Head Point is a must-visit location in Mahabaleshwar, offering breathtaking views of the valley and a beautiful sunset. The walk to the spot is enjoyable but lengthy, so comfortable shoes are recommended. It's important to note that there are no restrooms nearby, so visitors should take care of personal needs before arriving. However, there are vendors selling ice cream and masala cucumber on top for refreshment.
Beautiful view. Visit this point for sunset. Good parking space. Short walk from Lodwick point. Road might seem narrow and unused but Google map takes you to the right place if you put Lodwick point.

I recently went to this point to enjoy the scenic beauty.
What i want to highlight here is that there is a portion in this point which is not guarded by the wall & i don't understand why people are more fascinated to take picture while standing facing back to the hills. I think the authorities there should take action to guard the point totally like the way they had made walls to rest places.

If you are fortunate enough to find board of this point (Zoom the photo) which is hidden by unauthorized sellers and you come to know the point is a walking distance of 1km.
Otherwise you will return from an outside point where the tourists rush for photos on horses and some good views.
But that is not actual point.
The board and way which goes to actual point is shrouded by unauthorized shops/hotels/sellers which misguides tourists and many tourists return from outside point which feels like actual viewpoint but its not.
Tourism department should ban these sellers which are causing distraction or move them away from display board.

Amazing place to visit. We had visited Mahabaleshwar sometime in December- wow, what a climate to enjoy! Everything was so perfect - great scenery, fantastic photos, beautiful lake, clean strawberry farms and after all great food to enjoy. Once you checked into hotel, it’s highly recommend not to take your car / vehicles to the main picnic points as most of the places are very crowded and you will waste lot of time searching for parking! The best choice is to hire taxi and roam around - usually they charge for 4 persons full day @ 1,500/- which is quite decent. Taxi drivers are also really helpful and promptly guide you where to spend time and best locations. In the main market, there are lots of standard / high quality hotels and if you haven’t booked in advance, room tariff can be negotiated and very competitive. Just try Vienna lake, Gocart, Strawberry ice cream, and lot of blissful cool climate. We found only parking and is an issue but otherwise, overall a very good experience well spent time with family.

Venna Lake is a popular tourist spot in Mahabaleshwar, offering boat rentals and horseback rides. The lake is man-made and surrounded by carnival-style food stalls. It's recommended to visit during the evening for a picturesque sunset view while enjoying a boat ride on the lake. This attraction is well-known and widely appreciated, making it a must-visit location when in Mahabaleshwar.
Veena lake is a must-visit spot for those seeking scenic beauty. Lake is beautiful, calm and serene One can enjoy buying strawberries, mulberry, guava, and blueberries. Vienna lake is a super crowded tourist place. Especially over the weekends.
There is boating , games , food , horse riding (costly).
The horse riding is really a scam. They take you for a quick 500m round for 3-4 min and charge you 200Rs.
Can you believe it ?
Initially they tell you they ll take a big round for ten minutes but trust me we hardly got five minutes. Someone will accompany you while taking the round.
It’s mostly for kids who are fascinated by the horses. All the horses have their name it’s pretty nice. They are all groomed and well taken care of.
The boating looked nice but is super crowded to get a chance. We didn’t try it we just enjoyed the view of the lake from far.
The parking here is 50rs.

Venna Lake is a great tourist attraction spot in Mahabaleshwar. This lake was constructed by Shri Appasaheb Maharaj, who was Raja (King) of Satara in 1842. The length of the lake is 4 km and width is 1.5 kms. The lake is surrounded by green trees. In late evening one can see the clouds passing over lake water. There is a horse ride just next to the lake. Also, lot of food joints on the road. Few local vendors sell carrots and strawberry near the road. I will highly recommend to buy carrots as they are organic and tastes great. Venna Lake is approx 2 kms away from ST stand/ city market. There are few attractions for kids like toy train, toy cups, giant wheel etc.
The rates for boating are 500+200 for 30 mins assisted ride. 200 for the boating person.
Be careful while using google map as it can direct to other side of lake where you will not be able to reach main lake entrance.

Venna lake is a must visit place whenever you are in mahabaleshwar.
Always love visiting this place.. So serene and beautiful.
Both peddle boat and row boat options are available here for boating.
We took a row boat since we didn't want to peddle ourselves.
1200 Rs is the cost for one entire row boat with a person available for rowing for 30 minutes duration.
Horse riding is also available near the lake.
Priya Sridhar — Google review
A very famous lake in Mahabaleshwar, easy to spot and impossible to miss. It's just after one oats entry fee to Mahabaleshwar. Google may take to the other side of the lake, but just after entry, there are couple of parking places and from there one can enjoy walk to lake. Boating is available. Normal ticket is 400. But queue could be big. Private guys can give ride for 1200 is one want to avoid queue.
Amit Kulkarni — Google review
Nice and calm place to have a great boat ride.
Horse ride also available near the lake.
There are two types of rides.
One is a peddle ride where we have to peddle to have a ride which is cheap for a longer time period.
Another is a ride with a boat oarsman where they give u a person who rows your boat which is privy for less time.
But the ride in water is worth it whichever ride you choose.
There is a nearby photo booth too for tourists.

It has a very long wait otherwise it is very good to visit in the mornings of winter. The water and climate are very cold. It is well preferred to reach there early. The cost is 600 per hour for a normal boat with the driver which is a 6-seater.

Need to walk 200 easy steps to reach to the point from car park.
Car parking on road, difficult to find in peak hours.
Can get small snack items like Maggi, nuts, sweet corn, ice candy etc in small stalls 10-12 stalls.
Ample Place to sit and have packed lunch if you carrying, a group of 60-70 can get accommodated.

The best of all the points nearby.
One can literally spend an hour sitting and getting lost in the beautiful view.
The photo spots are also amazing and gives good depth in each pic if taken from the rocky steps.
It’s probably one of the farthest point from parking and requires a long walk, but it is worth it.

I recently visited the Mahabaleshwar Temple and was thoroughly impressed. The temple itself is stunning and filled with intricate architectural details. The atmosphere was serene and peaceful, making for a very spiritual experience. I also appreciated the well-maintained grounds and the beautiful natural surroundings.
The staff were also very friendly and helpful, and I appreciated the cleanliness of the temple. I would highly recommend a visit to anyone interested in ancient architecture and spirituality.
Additionally, the temple also provides a great view of the surrounding area, so it's worth visiting for the view alone. Overall, a must-visit for anyone in the area.

Just visited the temple in the morning in June.
There was good rainfall and we took some raincoats at very cheap price.
The raincoats are available here.
Then we visited and did pooja in the temple.
And, the temple is so beautiful and amazing.
And, as we were returning, tried food -
1. Potato Crisper
They were instantly making it and serving it.
It was so delicious and tasty.
And the way it looked and got served was so well.

Ancient Lord Shiva temple in Mahabaleshwar. It is one of the important pilgrimage for Hindus. The temple is very serene and the architecture is very attractive. It is well maintained and clean also. As this temple is one of the prime attraction of Mahabaleshwar, it is very crowded. It is very difficult to get parking space on weekends. The parking charge is Rs. 20/-. Also there is queue for Darshan, I visited during weekdays and have to wait around 20 minutes, but the crowd is well managed.

A beautiful stone temple built in the style of pyramid dedicated to Lord SHIVA in the MABALA avatar. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva who is called Mahabaleshwara. The lord is not in a regular lingu form but the lingu is spread in the form of rudraksha.
The temple is inside a huge complex where other temples like Panchaganga temple, Krishnai temple and more are situated. The pathway leading the temple from the parking is full of shops selling snacks, artifacts, cool drinks and many more things.
Apart from paying Mahabaleshwar entry toll tax, you need to pay the parking fees of Rs 50 as well. There is a lot of parking space. Toilets are also available. An amusement park is also there inside the complex.

Parsi Point is a famous tourist spot that offers splendid views of the Krishna Valley and Dhom Dam. The location features a play area and food vendors, making it an ideal place to spend time with family and friends. During weekdays, there are no crowds in this tranquil setting. One of the most visited place in Panchgani by me. I always stop there while traveling to Mahabaleshwar. It's totally free you'll get proper photographs when there's good weather. Come on weekdays avoide Mahabaleshwar Panchgani on weekends because there's huge traffic jam nowadays. Come with motorcycle then cars.
Watch places with telescope. Their is one hotel named rainforest it has fantastic valley view. You must try.

Monsoon is one of the best season to enjoy the beauty of the valley. But, clouds are sometimes just a spoiler.
But, but, but, when it starts clearing & the first ray of sun falls in the valley, on my heaven’s dream I say, it looks just as divine it could ever be in golden colour.
For long distance traveller, suggested to go when the clouds subside a little. May be September is a good time.

My excursion to Parsi Point in Mahabaleshwar was truly enchanting. As I stood atop this vantage point, the sprawling beauty of the Sahyadri Ranges unfolded before my eyes, painting a mesmerizing tableau. The picturesque landscapes, draped in hues of green, provided an awe-inspiring backdrop against the canvas of the sky.
The serenity of the surroundings, coupled with the crisp mountain air, created a tranquil ambiance. It was as if nature had crafted a masterpiece, inviting me to immerse myself in its grandeur. The gentle breeze carried whispers of tranquility, and the experience was nothing short of magical.
Parsi Point, with its strategic location, allowed me to capture postcard-perfect moments. The views were not merely scenic; they were a symphony of nature's grand design. The rolling hills, interspersed with valleys, seemed to stretch to infinity, leaving an indelible impression on my memory.
As the sun cast its warm glow over the landscape, the play of light and shadow added an extra layer of charm. It was a sensory feast, and I found myself lost in contemplation amid the beauty that surrounded me. A visit to Parsi Point is not just a sightseeing excursion; it's an immersive journey into the soul-soothing embrace of nature's wonders.

Table Land is the second-highest plateau in Asia, renowned for its breathtaking views of sunrise and sunset. It is a popular destination for horseback riding, though it's recommended to explore the area on foot to truly appreciate its natural beauty. The site boasts the footprint of Panch Pandava and a tiger cave where visitors can purchase snacks and drinks.
This is very Beautiful place. Here you can take ride with horses. This is very nice and relaxing place. You can take fresh oxygen here. You can see how Beautiful is our nature 🥰
Pranjal Sadavrat — Google review
It's an overrated place, it has five plateaus with some small caves, but all the plateaus are disconnected so you walk around in one of them only. Horse riding charges are high(2000 per person) for full round. You can also easily walk around and visit all the points but it will take couple of hours so if you have time go for the walk. Lots of movies are shot here and probably looks better after rainy season. In December it was sunny and less greenery. During monsoon I was told that horse riding is not available.
himanshu pal — Google review
Horse ride charges are too high but you can try once if not tried ever. Kids, old people and everyone must sit properly while in the horse ride as the ride is very, very rocky. They give a short trip of the table land through the horse ride and provide some information about the place. Many film’s scenes have been shot here like Bajirao Mastani, Raja Hindustani, etc. There is a pond but the water has been dried up as some work has to be done there. Fresh and naturally cool sugarcane juice is served in the tiger caves. Lot of little things to try on the table land point.
Sneha Ghate — Google review
We had amazing experience. Definitely I recommend this for the fit people. Den cave, Tiger cave are at walkable distance. Hidden cafe are there. One can have beautiful dining experience in nature 💕. Don't fall for the horse riding trap. Just enjoy walking these beautiful points. Enjoy the beautiful lake from the Table Land.
Only issue we faced was searching ' table land' on map. It showed another route. So one local guy helped us and asked to search for Joseph convent school and then to follow the table land road. Accordingly, we reached the correct destination. Parking is available there. Fee is 30. Food joints are also available there.

The place is so peaceful and Memorable for the loved once. We visited in the month of January so no entrance is allowed to the old road some construction is going on so we have to enter through the backside, which is almost a mountain trekking spot if you have to reach the plateau.Take a walk if you are a fitness freak as it's is too high and risky to climb.Horses are available for certain points they will show at certain price starts from 800 to 2500.The guide will show you the historical points and show you the famous movies shooting spots.Just enjoy the nature and beware of the monkeys so do not carry anything while entering into the caves. There are two famous caves Den dine cafe and devil's point entry fees 15rs there you can enjoy the sunset.Teas and snacks are also available.Great experience.
Suraj Mandal — Google review
The plateau is divided into 5 plateaus. One cannot access other plateaus from one. The plateau Table Land is a barren flat on top of a mountain. One can see beautiful views of surrounding areas below it. The plateau has horse ride as well as horse carriage ride facilities. The horse carriage rides are not enjoyable as the ride is very jerky and not suitable for elderly people. The horses are not trained properly and tend to go out of control of the carriage handler. If you stop to watch the caves the hose carriage will not wait for you and end the trip. It is advisable to walk the plateau which ma take 2 hours time. The Tiger Cave and one more cave is not maintained properly and is clustered with food stalls by contractors who has taken the caves on lease from local authorities. They charge entry fees. At some places it look like they are preparing fresh caves by digging the soil!

Beautiful place in mahabaleshwar this is the second largest plateau in Asia. You would love this place in monsoon or in winter there are two caves too you can do a mini trek. Beware of monkeys do not carry any fruit or drinkable unless you want to feed them. Keep mobiles seperate from eatables as they might snach your food and you can loose your mobile too.

Need to be careful about horse ride charges, good place, jungle walk around the tiger caves they charge ₹15, it's 5 mins walk but worthy . Very cool place, better to have sugarcane juice or lemon juice once back at parking things are bit costlier at caves.

Asia's Second highest plateau. Beautiful place with beautiful view 😍 I suggest not to take overpriced horse ride as you can cover the area by walking and it will be more enjoyable. It has the place where you can see footprint of Panch Pandava and has a cool tiger cave where you can buy some snacks and drinks. I took the service of an old man with his telescope to view some popular spot in panchgani, particularly the shooting spots of some Bollywood movies like Dabang, Tare zameen par, Raja Hindustani etc and it costs only 50 rupees. I had lime water of rupees 30 from the tiger cave and it was really cool refreshing even without ice. Tiger cave costs 10 rupees for entry.

It is an amazing place to enjoy nature and the lateritic plateaus of the Western Ghats. The plateau is a home to numerous endemic species of flowers and plants. Some of the most beautiful orchids are also present on this plateau. The tourism has been kept in check with the help of the restricted track for horses but wanderers should take precautions so as to avoid trampling of these beautiful flowers.

The only spot in Panchgani worth visiting, its a very big flat land on a cliff with mesmerizing views from every corner. Recommended to walk because horse rides are not that good and overpriced. Come in rains to see clouds and speedy winds. It may take upto 3 hour to cover it on foot. you can see the city and lake down below. There is car parking fee and food stalls, games at the entrance. Had a good time.

This is the largest plateau in Asia we were told. It's a nice place to catch great views of Panchgani, especially during sunrise and sunset. There are a few activities here that you can take advantage of like horse riding tours and pull cart tours of the plateau.
Be sure to visit the Tiger Cave or Lion Cave which have small cafes set up in them.

Visit in rainy season or winters… not for summers… although we saw a beautiful sunrise there… at sharp 6 AM on 18 May
The view of city from the top is amazing… there are horses also… you can do a ride in under 1000 bucks.
Overall it’s a beautiful place…

Table land is one of the biggest plateau in and around Maharashtra. The horse riders will tell you to come with them for 500 mts and then convince you to ride with them for looking at all the points.
They will quote anything from 500 rs. to 2000 rs. For 4 points, 7 points, 11 points and so on.
You will not miss anything if you don't look at those points as the price that they quote is very high. You may negotiate with them on a non peak day.
But by walk, you can definitely go to the caves and see where panch pandav once resided during their vanwaas.
There is another tunnel after you reach the cave wherein there is a idol of Shankar Bhagwaan.
You can sit in the cave and have some Maggi or tea/coffee as there are couple of vendors out there.
The parking is outside and you need to walk inside. The horse riders will try to grab you at this place itself.
If you take a horse, they will show you single tree, Sydney point, Ganesh visarjan lake which is now called as Bajirao Mastani Lake, etc.
They will tell you names of all the movies which were picturised at this place.
Taral Shah — Google review
For you it's a Very good place.
Amazing photos can be taken.
Horses and horse carriages are very costly.
Can be travelled on foot too.
Don't fell in trap of horse owners.
Many movie shoots done there
Beautiful pandava caves with fine dining experience also there.
The moment you reach scammers will come with horses to give you a demo and tell you the ride costs Rs 240 only but after taking you inside, they will ask you for Rs 2500 for the ride. The taxi people are hand in glove with these scammers. They mistreat the horses too. This scam should immediately end. The place is pretty boring too. There is nothing really to see here. Just plain barren land and nothing else. I would say take if off your list if you are visiting Panchgani. Tiny dingy caves and nothing else actually.

Our trip to Tableland was a wonderful experience thanks to the picturesque location here. This is said to be the second longest mountain plateau in Asia.
The best time to visit here is the evening before the sunset when u can do excellent photography. The view from up above is very beautiful. We can also choose to go for horse rides which takes us around one or two plateaus.
We preferred a carriage ride(4 people) for 1500 /. Solo rides are also available at similar rates. There are many shops on the way where one can have tea and snacks and other accessories made of different colored stones.

Table Top is the name locally some people call this place.
It’s a huge open space where you can enjoy proper sunrise & sunset.
Try visiting this place during cold weather, it’s a very pleasant place to enjoy your time with loved ones!
There are horse rides available, in which they will take you to multiple points. Don’t forget to bargain, they will quote you way higher than the usual price just because you’re a tourist.
There are also local stores for shopping and eateries which provide tea & maggi. The tea was fine, maggi was also good but the onion bhajiyas were amazing, don’t forget to have bhajiyas and chai there.
Jay Haria — Google review
Excellent place, best recommended at the evening time. If you are using Google maps to drive your car there, make sure to set the location to table land parking.
There are snacks available around the location. A lot of horses if you don't want to walk. Tangas for elderly too.

Good place to view on the go not much too see you can take horse ride in 500-1000 according to that. Dont pay more than that price is negotiable if you bargain properly

Jungle temple from the mid-1700s dedicated to Shiva, with a storied antique bell, ponds & statues.
This temple is located on the Pune Satara highway near Nasrapur, the road is great along the highway but as soon as you take the turn the roads are bad and since you pass through the village centre it's pretty crowded as this place is a main center for many nearby villages. The roads are narrow at some places hence you need to be careful. After reaching the spot there is beautiful Shiv temple and it also has 3 ponds filled with fish and turtles, apart from being a place of worship there is a garden and adventure park developed for attracting more tourists, it has entry fee of Rs 20 for adults.
It's a must visit place during all seasons but specially during monsoon to see the waterfall, we saw a lot of large groups had come here for family picnic with packed food and having it in the shade, good place to hangout, kids can also enjoy in the playground with equipments.
Parking can be a little tight for cars during a crowded day but it's manageable. The adventure park was closed during the lockdown period but it has been reopened and undergoing renovations, please do visit and ensure you enjoy responsibly and contribute towards making this place even better
There are a couple of small hotels serving snacks and packaged drinks incase you need a quick bite, they also sell packed drinking water bottle

Nestled amidst the serene embrace of nature, Baneshwar reveals itself as a tranquil sanctuary, where ancient spirituality and vibrant biodiversity converge in harmonious symphony. At the heart of this verdant oasis lies an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, an emblem of timeless devotion, cradled by two sacred ponds teeming with life—fishes and tortoises glide through their waters, embodying the cycle of life and renewal.
Enveloping the temple, a dense canopy of trees whispers the ancient tales of the land, their leaves dancing to the rhythm of the breeze. A well-crafted path meanders through this green labyrinth, offering pilgrims and nature lovers alike a chance to wander in meditative contemplation, grounded by the earth beneath their feet.
Despite the whispers of misguidance found on the web, the modest entry fee of Rs.20 ushers visitors into a realm where nature's spectacle unfurls—a so-called waterfall that, though modest, charms the eye from the vantage of a thoughtfully constructed viewpoint, overlooking the Shivganga river basin.
For the young and the young at heart, Baneshwar extends its playful embrace with a quaint playground, its swings and sculptures of giraffes, elephants, eagles, and tigers sparking the flames of imagination. Adventure beckons through the thrill of rope bridges and zip-lining, each activity a testament to the spirit of exploration and the joy of soaring heights.
The sanctuary’s care extends to practical comforts as well—ample free parking, inviting eateries, and a floral haven at the garland shop. Though the call of nature may be less pleasing in one respect—the facilities provided—this minor note does not mar the overall symphony of experiences.
Baneshwar is more than a destination; it’s a journey through time, nature, and spirituality, rated highly in the hearts of those who seek its serene touch. Best visited in the rain's embrace or winter's gentle chill, it remains a canvas of experiences, painting memories that linger long after the visit.
As legends whisper of tunnels connecting to historic forts and the tales of kings who once graced its grounds, Baneshwar stands as a testament to history, culture, and the enduring beauty of the natural world. A visit here is not merely a day spent but a moment cherished, wrapped in the green embrace of the earth and the watchful gaze of the ancient.

Best old Lord Shiva Temple also called Baneshwar located in Nasrapur. Temple is surrounded by lots of green trees and a river. There is 2-3 ponds on the entry it contains many white and black fishes and lots of tortoise.

This place has a natural beauty around it surrounded by jungle and beautiful waterfall at the back side of this temple which costs around 20/person and it's really clean with a restroom facility in the jungle. The temple also has small ponds with tutorials and fish. You will enjoy this short trip but the only problem is reaching here as the road at the entrance is very narrow and gets hidden by street vegetable sellers

It is such an old temple still the Maharashtra government is not making any efforts to preserve it.Coming back to the temple some kind of restoration work is going however some local people are doing that and they are spoiling the old monument. Temple close between 8 Am till 5pm make sure you go early in the morning or evening to get the shivling Darshan closer.. There is a park and water fall behind the temple where kids and families can go and spend a one day trip and they are also providing 4 hour package inside the park which includes food and some activities all in all a good place to visit for a one day.. It has a kids play area outside for kids, a good parking space, flower and coconut shop and a few other temple shops. Also there is. Temple is nice but surroundings not that properly kept
Good place for kids. Nice jungle, serene atmosphere. They even have an Agro Tourism. Temple is pretty old but very well maintained
1. Old Lord Shiva Temple with two water ponds having fishes & tortoises
2. Dense tree forest with well organized & nicely paved walkaway
3. More websites is misleading.
Entry fee is Rs.20/- per person for all above 5 years to watch the so called waterfall
4. Well constructed view point for viewing Shivganga river basin that contains the so called waterfall
5. For kids:
a) Spacious small playground garden with swings & few other things
b) Giraffe, Elephant, Eagle & tiger sculptures
c) Adventure sports
One ride Rs. 50/- per person
i) Walk on bamboo in center of hanging rope bridge
ii) Walk on hanging tyre below rope bridge
iii) Walk on hanging vertical rope bridge
All above rope bridges are of approx. 5 meter length only at a approx. 5 meter height above ground.
d) Zip lining
One ride Rs.50/- per %person
6. Free 2 & 4 wheeler parking, ample space
7. Small eateries
8. Flowers & garland shop
9. Footwear stand at the entrance of temple Free
10. Bad Toilet facility
Overall I will rate this place in the range of 7 to 8 out of 10 points from kids point of view for the families.
Park your vehicle for free, visit the temple, after visiting temple, buy entrance tickets & stroll Baneshwar at your leisure. 30 minutes is more than enough at Baneshwar unless Kids want to play more, then 60 minutes enough.
Best time to visit in rainy & winter season (June to Feb). Not recommended during summer.
I visited yesterday i.e. 10th September 2023 with my Friends.
After Narayanpur visit you can head further straight to Saswad & from Saswad to Dive ghat to Phursungi to Hadapar to Pune. There is no toll post on this route.
For any doubt on road junction or road T junction (eg for Nasrapur, Kapurhol, Saswad) please ask there & there itself.
It is better to ask & be on right route than heading on wrong route without asking.
I have attached photos of Baneshwar trip in this review & have tagged appropriately for better understanding.
Hope you will find the above information useful to plan Baneshwar trip in the best way.
All the best...

Sinhagad Fort is a historic fortress perched on a hilltop at 760 meters above sea level near Pune, India. It features a memorial for 17th-century emperors and a temple devoted to the goddess Kali. The fort is famous for its association with the Battle of Sinhagad in 1671 and attracts tourists as a popular weekend getaway and monsoon trekking destination.

I visited around 8 am and it was somewhat crowded, so will recommend you should also visit around or if possible..before 8 am. Surreal, very calming environment. We went in the morning and reached around 9 am. The surroundings were very good. We were amazed by the beauty of nature.
Due to clouds it was difficult to see some things. Also you have to be careful while walking as things are not clearly visible due to clouds.
Recommend to read history before visiting the fort, so you can feel the importance of the place when you are walking there.
I don't recommend visiting on Sunday because there will be huge traffic jams as most of the people park their vehicles on the road side. Even when we visited on Saturday, when we left around 2 in the afternoon we were stuck around 1 hr.
Another suggestion is you can trek route, I did not go that route, so not sure about the difficulty. Next time definitely I am definitely going to trek to Sinhagad Fort.

The most famous fort for its historic significance as well as the easy travel there in the city of Pune. It’s visited on the daily by a lot of people as a part of their exercise. Sadly the whole fort is now covered with vendors selling food and chips and what not. There is no management for litter here which is disappointing.
The climb is fairly easy but there is easy access till the top by cars or local drivers who take you there. You have to climb the stairs and walk a little to roam around after that.

I visited it on Monday...
Moderate public with good light.
Drive carefully through the ghat and walk carefully during the trek..
Take a snap of the map at the beginning for a better experience, though there are proper guiding hordings in the way....
Just make sure you leave the place early so that you reach down early before night.
Try to start trek as early as possible.
Food is available sufficiently. Parking is no issue.
Take some cash with you as sometimes the network doesn't work properly.

Such a serene experience going up, we were guided by a bunch of cute little puppies until the way to the top. Nice place to plan an adventure day.. Two options are available to reach the fort. First by trekking and second by the road. At the fort, you can do a lot of sightseeing. For foodies, great local options are available. The only concern points are.. If you visit by own 4 wheeler, you might be facing a parking problem on a crowded day. And the second is.. Housekeeping in the area can be improved. If you are planning a trip for the first time, better plan a whole day. Really you can spend a complete day over there and still you will feel there is so much to do.

1. Better not to go in summer. Always try to visit in monsoon. Carry water, wear hat and go in the early morning 🌄 if you are going in summer days.
2. You've bike and car parking at the top of the hill. Sometimes it's difficult to find the parking. Still you've lot to trek even though you're parking vehicle at the top of the hill as it's very large landscape.
3. You'll find food shops at the top of hills.
4. Paid washrooms 🚻 are available but it's very dirty. I think it's not being maintained properly.
5. You'll find temples, samadhi, nice scenery, good trail for trekking.
6. Ticket required at the entrance of singarh forest area.

It's definitely worth a trip to explore this beautiful spot, especially during the rainy season when the water pressure increases and makes for an even more amazing experience.
One of the best place to explore the nature during Manson season. Its a must visit place for nature lover. It is located near rajmachi village and those who want to track there can track to kataldhar waterfall too.

See the panoramic view of Kune Falls from Kandla Ghat view point. Don't follow this (Google Maps) location because it is inaccessible. There is no direct route to the falls. If you want to reach these falls, you have to trek more than 4 kilometers through forest and grassland. But even the local peopl are not aware of the exact location of these falls. If you're following the route suggested by locals, you will reach near to Della adventure park which is very costly.

The garden is located in the city of Pune, India, and it is a great place to visit if you are interested in Japanese culture or plants. The garden is also great for children because there are many play areas and fish ponds.
Garden is well maintained. We visited it on weekend and that too on Sunday. So it was very crowded.
There is 5rs entry fee for the garden. Garden is beautifully maintained. The trees are so perfectly shaped which makes garden view spectacular from the top.
Fountains are there but the water was not that clean. Perfect weekend gateway for the kids. But nobody is allowed to walk or sit in the grass.

Waterfall, ponds, artificial hillocks, and the woodland will become a massive appeal of Okayama lawn. while taking pictures and selfies on the bridges you may see exclusive varieties of vivid purple, orange-colored fishes
Entry ticket fee is rs. 5 for all above 3 yr old. There are 3 distinct parks inside big compound. 2 of them have rs. 5 entry fee while kids play area is free to enter.
Timing: 6-11 am, 4-8 pm. Tickets not issued before 30 min of closing.

Also known as ‘Pu La Deshpande Udyan’ after the famous Marathi writer Late. Mr Purushottam Laxman Deshpande - this garden is inspired by the 300 year old Korakuen Garden at Okayama, Japan.
Spread across 10 acres, the garden reflects the Indo-Japanese friendship that brings the Japanese garden traditions and aesthetics here in India. Well maintained greenery with numerous trees 🌳, flowers 🌺, bushes, ponds, water streams, fountains ⛲️, pergolas, benches, and a well laid track to walk on.
The periphery of the garden is walled by tall trees. The bushes have been crafted into different shapes by the gardeners in a magnificent way. At places dense bamboos shoot upwards at great heights. Near the pond the water is sprinkled in the air by the fountain that gives a soothing breeze. Chirping of different birds combined with the serene green environment in the garden gives you mental peace.
Very nominal ticket of ₹.5/- per person charged for this priceless environment that awaits you beyond the entry gate.
Come with family & friends to this place filled with zen energy all around.

Beautifully constructed and great variety of plants, trees and flowers grown. This makes the atmosphere serene. It's s treat to our eyes. In a city like Pune which is quite a cement factory, a place like this is a pleasure to the eyes. Has a cute man-made stream flowing with a few shells. It has two fountains which is a pleasant sight. A small hill and bridges built on the stream make it fun for kids to run around. Beautiful scenic locations to click pictures and build wonderful memories. It is open in the mornings and evenings. There are lady cops who keep patrolling and asking visitors to step out of the lawns. Overall a good place to spend some time. The entry fee is just Rs 5. A temple that has a great history and follows a tradition which is centuries old, and that tradition is offering the golden magical powder (Turmeric) to Lord Khandoba and all the deities present with in the temple. Turmeric powder is - thrown in the air, applied to statues, and even given as offerings.
Khandoba is an avatar of Shiv Ji. The folklore says that there were two demon brothers who wreaked havoc amongst the villagers. Lord Khandoba killed one the of demon and spared life of the other when he promised to serve the rest of his life for social causes and helping the common man.
We went here on a Sunday, due to which it was very crowded. The free Darshana of Lord Khandoba takes around 3 hours while standing in queue for one’s turn. The queue moves in a serpentine manner with a snails pace. We avoided the queue and went for the express passes which is for ₹.100/- per person. It cuts the queue for you but even then you get to have darshan for merely 4-5 seconds and then they will push you to exit quickly.
I personally don’t like to visit temples with such massive unmanageable crowds and that demand to pay to enter the temple and have Darshan for 5 seconds. But since we have no choice we tend to pay them. An unhealthy business oriented environment that has been cropped up in most of our temples now a days. Also be aware of people who will lure you to perform any random Pooja and ultimately will ask for payments for the same.
Nevertheless, the temple has a beautiful history and good old traditions attached to it that should not be missed. Go on weekdays if possible to properly witness the serene environment of the temple.

Very good n peaceful place
A famous temple of Lord Khandoba in Jejuri town, Maharashtra. 🙏 You have to climb 200 steps to reach the temple. Not very difficult though, provides amazing views of Jejuri village and Saswad district and Dive ghat too...temple itself is a vibrant and full of energy.
it is around 50 kms from Pune, the nearest big city. Jejuri has its own railway station on Pune Kolhapur route. Pune is connected with air, rail, road to the rest of India. It will be a day visit to this from Pune.
Lord Khandoba, an avatar of Shiva is the most popular Kuldaivat, family deity (कुलदैवत ) in Maharashtra. My family also follow Him as Kuldaivat. People use Turmeric (Bhandara) to worship. Also devotees offer navas, a vow in exchange to achieve the desired goals. Some of them are very hard to follow.
Most interesting part I like is 'Gondhal (गोंधळ); performed by a group of devotees called "Gondhalis" (गोंधळी) as a regular ritual in a number of household ceremonies. Devotees from all over the Maharashtra visit for the blessings. Very divine place full of energy.
According to legend, two demons, Malla and Mani, were upsetting the Earth and worrying the sages. When Indra and Vishnu recognized their incompetence, the Sages begged Shiva for assistance. Shiva assumed the guise of Khandoba, rode Nandi (the bull), and led his army into battle against demons. His avatar is described as having a third eye with a semi-circular moon on the forehead and a turmeric-covered torso. Khandoba ultimately slew the demons after a hard battle.
Mani begged for forgiveness by immolating his white horse in front of him. He requested to be present in every temple in Khandoba and was served goat flesh by the people. Shiva fulfilled his wish and turned him into a demon. What if Khandoba called for the destruction of the earth and human flesh, Malla wondered? Khandoba became so enraged that he quickly decapitated Malla, who fell at the shrine's stairs and was crushed by the devotees' feet.
The temple was constructed around 1608 AD. Ragho Mambaji, a Maratha chieftain, finished the central mandap and other elements in 1637 AD. The Holkar emperors constructed the outer chambers and other areas. Tukoji Holkar assisted in the completion of the tank and battlefield around 1770 AD

***Sonyachi Jejuri***
This temple is ancient and dedicated to the avatars of Shiva called "Khandoba". Here the entire temple area has dipped in yellow turmeric because that is the main ingredient you give as an offering along with coconut to the lord Khandoba.
It is better if you dress in yellow and visit this place. Vehicles can go up to the last point from where the temple complex steps start. It has 400+ very steep steps to climb.
It is a kuldaivat (Family traditionally oriented god) of many in Maharashtra and nearby states too.
Very divine experience as you can take Tali bhandar (Thanking God and keep bless us prayer) 🙏 over in temple premises. Only if the local authorities can keep this place more clean. and organized (without bribe under name of god).
Tip:
Try to go on weekdays so that you will get darshan of god.
Try to avoid darshan through agents.
Keep water bottle with you. Keep on chanting yelkot yelkot Jay Malhar (येळकोट येळकोट जय मल्हार)🙏 this will definitely give you strength to walk on. Believe me when you will enter from mahadwar (महाद्वार) you will forget what and how you reached their.
Do not forget to offer abhishek to god along with Jagar-Gondhal and Tali-Bhandara. Within ₹3500-4000/- all these pujas will be completed

A very famous temple in jejuri. Many people visit here often to offer prayers, functions etc. But it was crowded, however, they do provide options with 100/200/free lines. We can choose accordingly to get the darshanam. Bit difficult for old age people to follow the steps. Due to the rainy season the road was closed which goes to the top.

The temple is dedicated to Khandoba, also known as Mhalsakant or Malhari Martand or Mylaralinga. Khandoba is regarded as the 'God of Jejuri' and is held in great reverence by the Dhangars. The temple was the site of a historic treaty between Tarabai and Balaji Bajirao on 14 September 1752.
Every Somavati Amavasya (new moon that falls on a Monday), devotees of Khandoba gather at the Jejuri temple with tonnes of turmeric, smearing it on each other and throwing it around amid energetic singing and dancing. The temple-town is known as ‘Sonyachi Jejuri’ (golden Jejuri) because of this colourful celebration.
Its unique architecture and cultural importance make it a must-visit for those interested in spiritual exploration and the rich heritage of Maharashtra.

The temple is very nice. There are two temples one is Lord Ganesha, with another is of Lord Shiva, looks one of the oldest temple.
Both the temples are well maintained, but the complex from outside is not maintained. The river just beside the temple is very clean shops of modak are there.
And they provide free storage space for your luggage there and shoe storage space is also provided by the temple.

Shree Moreshwar temple is one among the Ashtavinayak Ganpati. Very Peaceful and Devine place to visit.
Darshan line is covered well & look is given as ancient, it's made of wood, so in hot season also it doesn't really bother to stay in line for some time. Darshan happens within half hour, nobody pushes you and make hurry to go ahead in queue.
There's nearby parking provision on paid basis. It's approximately 18 km from Jejuri, by road its hardly 20 minutes.
You can devote some money for things to be maintained in good conditions. There's अन्नछत्र / महाप्रसाद provision from 12 to 2 pm and the food is very good.

Shri Mayureshwar (or Moreshwar) Ganpati temple is one of the Ashtavinayakas (Eight sacred Ganapati temples) in Maharashtra. It is located in Morgaon Village in the Pune District of Maharashtra state. It is around 70 kilometers via Jejuri-Morgaon-Baramati Road and Saswad – Bopdev – Pune Road.
Mayureshwar Ganpati Temple is an important temple. It marks the beginning and end of the Ashtavinayak Yatra. It means that devotees should start the journey from Morgaon, and at the end, they need to visit the same place. The temple flourished during the rule of Peshwas, and it was blessed with the presence of Moraya Gosavi.
As mentioned before, Mayureshwar Ganpati Temple is located at a very convenient distance. Since the place is very well connected to Pune, which in turn connects to all major cities in India, therefore, you can easily reach there. The distance between Pune and Morgaon is 70 kilometres.
You have to pay for private parking without any bill or receipt. Also you can purchase Prasad and har at so many stores front of temple.
History Of Mayureshwar Ganpati Temple
There is a legend associated with the temple. It says that Bhagwan Ganesha was born to Parvati in the Treta Yuga in the caves of a place called Lenyadri. Bhagwan took the form of a fair Mayureshwar, who had six arms and was riding a peacock.
The young Ganesha was fond of climbing trees. One day, he accidentally knocked off an egg, from which a peacock emerged. Therefore, this Ganesha idol is seen riding a peacock. Therefore, he is called ‘Mayureshwar.’ After finishing the task of slaying the demon, Bhagwan Ganesh offered his Vahan peacock to his brother Bhagwan Kartikeya.
Morgaon Ganpati temple is in a picturesque location, and its architecture is also very impressive. Spread over a wide area, it offers a very beautiful view to the devotees.
Mayureshwar temple morgaon temple opens at 5:00 AM in the morning and remains open till 10:00 PM. The morning hours for darshan are 5:00 AM to 12:00 PM. In the evening, devotees can take Darshan between 3:00 PM and 10:00 PM.

It's a Hindu religious place from shree Ashtvinayak Ganpati. The temple area and nearby places are too good. If you're living in Pune then you can visit this place at any time it might require half of the day. I suggest you visit this temple if possible on weekdays to avoid crowd. I advise you to explore market of this area you will definitely found amazing metal idols of Hindu God. Even you can found amazing home decorative items but you should have to bargain with them properly because if you're not good in bargaining then they will definitely ask for more money.
The only thing I didn't like about this place was that they charge ₹50 for parking of our vehicle.
If you're staying there, there are lots of options available like Bhakatnivas of Mandir trust and even lots of hotels are there for lodging. I don't have any idea but charges of staying there.
You can also visit Jejuri which is about 17-18 far from it while going towards Pune.
The best season to visit is the end of the month of may and the starting month of June.
About Road- The roads are too good to drive. Roads are well maintained.

Ranjangaon Ganpati is one among the Ashtavinayak, celebrating eight instances of legends related to Ganesha. This temple's Ganpati idol was inaugurated and donated by the "Khollam" family, a goldsmith family based in Ranjangaon. The temple was built between the 9th and 10th century. The main temple looks like it was built in the Peshwa period. Nagarkhana is situated above the entrance gate. The temple facing east has huge and beautiful entrance gate.
Madhavrao Peshwa made a room in the basement of the temple to keep the idol of lord Ganesh. Later on Sardar Kibe of Indore renovated it. The idol of these lord Ganesh is also named as 'Mahotkat', and it is said that the idol has 10 trunks and 20 hands.

The premises were under construction when I visited and I didn't like the crowd management queue system.
The way to go to the main temple was very confusing.
After you are done with the darshan, to pick your slippers, you have to go through the security part again and then come back extra.
There is a park in the premises which is nice for kids or families to sit and relax.
On the outskirts, you have a market to buy local stuff like vegetables, eatables etc.

One of the lord ganpati in the list of ashtavinayak temples. Maha means big. Many people visit daily. It's situated just near the Pune-Nagar highway so no extra travel is required to reach the temple. Huge parking area but it's paid. A huge entrance area and structure will be identified from the main road. One extra building is added just to manage the crowd. They allow us to skip lanes by paying Rs.100 per person, this is little convenient for rich people. Not a good posture in the temple all should be treated the same. Some of the stone structure and pictorial things made. But disappointed with the management when they are not allowing them to see them and see other things like the garden and entrance part of the main temple. The temple has a big history but manageable is not up to mark. Must visit place with your family members and friends. Avoid the weekend to avoid the rush.

As one of the Ashtavinayak temples dedicated to Lord Ganpati, Mahaganapati Temple holds a special place in the hearts of devotees. The temple itself is super impressive, with lots of cool carvings and symbols on the walls. When you go inside, you feel really calm and peaceful, like Ganpati's watching over you.
People come to Mahaganapati Temple to pray to Lord Ganpati and ask for his blessings. It's a really important place for them, and you can feel the love and devotion in the air.
Visiting Mahaganapati Temple isn't just about saying prayers; it's also about feeling connected to something special and taking a moment to think quietly. It's a place where you can find peace and feel close to Ganpati.

It was initially built-in 1490 AD by Ahmed Nizam Shah and rebuilt with the present stone masonry with the moat around in 1553 to 1565 by Hussein Nizam Shah.
This fort is oval in form, 1.70 km in circumference and is strengthened by 24 bastions. Originally it had two entrances, one on the West side for wheeled traffic and other on the East side for foot passengers in the form of sally port and suspension bridge. These were closed and the present entrance was constructed by British during 1943 by breaking the Fort wall and filling the portion of the moat. It is peculiarly well planned and strong built fort with stone walls rising about 30 feet from the bottom of the moat. Although lying on comparatively low ground yet it cannot be spotted within a large distance. Portuguese are said to have helped to build this fort. First Prime Minister of free India, Pandit Nehru wrote Discovery of India when he was imprisoned in this fort here in 1944. Leaders rooms are still alive inside the fort, where leaders of freedom struggle were imprisoned from 1942 45. Although, the Indian army occupies the fort, entry into the fort is allowed by signing at the gate.

It is a place of huge historical significance like many important leaders loke patel, nehru etc were imprisoned here after 1942 Quit India Movement. But its not at all maintained properly. Presently under Army administration. When i went (june, 2022) it was closed (officially not opened after corona), but still they agreed to see as we were coming from far.

Ahmednagar fort is in the premises of army cantt.
Had the opportunity to visit fort and witness the historic architecture of it.
Visit leaders block where pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and other freedom fighters were kept in prison.
I was awestruck by the vibe of the place.
In this prison itself pandit ji wrote Discovery of India and other great works with the help of other intellectual minds.
Must visit place.

The Ahmednagar fort is a small fort occupied by military. Military allows visit of fort free. The structures inside fort are in dilapidated condition in absence of maintenance. The wall of fort is strong and one can walk on the wall of fort. It takes maximum one hour to complete tour of fort

Best with a view of ancient Architecture. This fort is under Army for rest of the whole year and only opens for public on 26th January and 15th August. So there is lot of rush on this 2 days. But one of the sad truth is while it's under the control of Army there is no steps taken to preserve this monument. There were lots of wild bush everywhere. They need to cut this down so the monument will be safer for our next generation. This fort is known for its Fortification it's a marvelous structure made by Nijam shah. Whenever you vist this place, Please don't spred your garbage here keep it in your bags or throw it in dust bin. Save the monument for our future.

One can They allow to visit outer wall of the fort only and museum is open in special occasion like 15th August, 26th January. The fort is in circular shape and one can walk the entire outer wall on the walkway made on the top of the wall.

This is over 500 years old fort. It's now open to see it , just that we need to keep our id card at the entrance and need to pick it up once you are done. Octagonal Palace is a nice architectural monument. Leaders block is a place where many of the freedom fighters were prisoned from 1942- 1945. Our first prime minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru wrote his famous book Discovery of India in this prison. They have many self explanatory boards. One can walk on the walls of the fort. It's nice panoramic view. Very quite place.

The fort was built during A.D. 1553 to A.D. 1565. The fort has 24 bastions, one large gate and some other gates. The fort has seen many handovers of powers from Nizams to Mughals to Peshwa and to British emperors finally coming under regulation of India post independence.
This is very strong fort on ground and was difficult to conquer in the history. It is quite large and some area can be seen by general public as rest of the area is army camp. During Aug 1942 to April 1945, Indian political leaders were kept as interns of this fort which was converted to British jail that time.. View from fort wall is very nice. Feel very proud to see big tricolor flag on the wall ! You can go to tank museum which is nearby (approx 3 km from fort)

Sai Baba’s early years are a mystery. Most accounts mention his birth as a Hindu Brahman and his subsequent adoption by a Sufi fakir, or mendicant. Later in life he claimed to have had a Hindu guru. Sai Baba arrived in Shirdi, in the western Indian state of Maharashtra, about 1858 and remained there until his death in 1918.
At first denounced by the villagers of Shirdi as a madman, by the turn of the century Sai Baba had a considerable following of Hindus and Muslims, attracted by his compelling teachings and his performance of apparent miracles, which often involved the granting of wishes and the healing of the sick. He wore a Muslim cap and for the better part of his life lived in an abandoned mosque in Shirdi, where he daily kept a fire burning, a practice reminiscent of some Sufi orders. Yet he named that mosque Dvarakamai, a decidedly Hindu name, and is said to have had substantial knowledge of the Puranas, the bhagvatgita, and various branches of Hindu thought. Sai Baba’s teachings often took the form of paradoxical parables and displayed both his disdain for the rigid formalism that Hinduism and Islam could fall prey to and his empathy for the poor and diseased.
Shirdi is a major pilgrimage site, and other spiritual figures like Upasani Baba and Meher baba credited the teachings of Sai Baba. In the late 20th and early 21st century Sathya Sai Baba claimed to be his incarnation.

Everything is fine here. Do not buy Prasad to Darshan Shirdi Temple. Nothing is allowed inside the Temple. It's a Scam of selling Prasad things at extremely highest price, minimum 500 times higher. Do Darshan come out and buy from roadside shops, if anything to buy.
Senior Citizens separate entry is available, but need to check timings. You can buy tickets for Darshan. Darshan can be done without tickets too.
