Sozo Water Park
Water park
Water & Amusement Parks
Sozo Water Park is an impressive water park that comes highly recommended, especially for women. It offers a separate section for ladies and shallow pools for kids. The cafeteria provides local food options with female staff members, ensuring comfort and safety. The ticket prices are reasonable, making it an ideal destination for the summer season. This wonderful place features thrilling slides that only courageous individuals can attempt, along with refreshing pools of water.
Amazing water park especially for ladies I will highly recommend.
Ladies water park is completely separate and not so deep pools for kids.
Cafeteria, local food available in it with females staff so no worry about that.
Tickets are reasonable.
I will highly recommend in this summer season.

After long time visited Sozo Park with family. It's really wonderful experience. My family enjoyed and had lot of fun.
The fortress Gobindgarh Fort is a popular tourist destination in Lohgarh district of Punjab, with a war museum, performances, food carts and bazaar. It tells the history of Guru Gobind Singh and India in general. The fort is open 10am-10pm daily.
A lovely place to spend an evening
Entry information: There are tickets for the same. There are two shows, Whistling walls and Sher-e-Punjab
Sher-e-Punjab : the tickets are available before 4pm only is for ₹199. This includes Sher-e-Punjab (7D show), access to interior of the fort.
Whistling walls : The tickets are available all day and is for ₹199. This includes Whistling walls, a laser show, and access to the fort
Majaraja ticket : Includes all the access proved at ₹358.
What to see: The fort is well maintained and quite clean. The fort has multiple food restaurants, few shops and a great architecture.
Timings and other: Whistling walls starts only after 8:15pm so plan accordingly. The ticket counter is across the street and post that you can get entry tickets.
You can get entry tickets as well for approx ₹45. But they don’t give until you don’t get a package.
You can get a trip of the interior on electric vehicles for ₹50 as well

This fort is nicely maintained. Ticket cost is bit higher side as if you are going to watch 7D show here then it will cost Rs. 200 per person. Show is a splendid experience. I liked it very much. Also, watchout for the well maintained fort here.
Abhisek Mohanty — Google review
I don't like it at all. I don't get why people have rated this so high. Overpriced place. More beautiful forts and places can be visited for free. This is taking 50 rupees just to enter the place. That also with arguments with the ticket counter girl. They were saying that only 300 rupees ticket is there and you've to buy the show and games ticket.
Not worth at all. Very average activities and games and shows are there. I won't recommend anyone to waste their money.
Monika Sharma — Google review
The place is good but not verses the price. It's overpriced. With the ticket of 450, you can watch 7D and a very short camel ride. They don't charge for kids below 5 years, but inside, nothing is free for the kid. Even camel rides are not free for kids they will charge Rs.50 for the same. If you go for 7D, they will not offer the 3D glass to wear. You have to fight for it.
7D show was good.. one can enjoy a nice evening there.. 2 Seater Cycle Ride is free, but they should have multiple cycles.. otherwise, you end up with a round or so..
VR game was very good we all enjoyed it..
Rs. 50 is the charge for the polo cart, which takes you from the ticket counter to the fort. If you can walk, then it's actually no need. The main area is not that far..
Overall, good..

A nice place to spend the evening, but be prepared to walk a lot since this place is very huge. You'll get a feel of how the life eas back then and how the king's have lived and ruled.
There lot of eateries within the fort so no need to worry about food. It's a heritage place very well maintained l, we couldn't catch the light show but we witnessed the 7D show and it's a must experience. The show is charged 200 per head and tells about how the king became the king he is remembered for. At the end there is a cartoon 7D show which you can choose to skip but the kids will enjoy this.
Overall a nice place to visit in Amritsar. Give it a try.

It is a nice place with good ambience and nicely organised campus arraying good display of history, culture and state of the craft shows accompanied with live presentations.
Laser show Presentation during the visit marred with bad audio due to earthing because of heavy rains 🌧 preceding day, show was charged 300 rs per head, for 40 min more than a regular movie ticket.
No staffer is presnt to guide or to look after during the show.
Overall an okay experience.

One of the historically significant sites that has been well-preserved is Gobindgarh Fort. The cost of entry ranges from Rupees 300 to 400 per person, yet the experience is still worthwhile for everyone. The gorgeous greenery and 7D show deserve special mention.

Beautiful place. Has a rich heritage and history but more development is needed. The experience feels incomplete. Maybe the reason is that this was still under the Indian Army till 2018 and just recently had been developed as a tourist destination and then the COVID pandemic hit in 2020. Most of the places like the Taksal etc were closed and the places which were open did not have people in them. There was a cultural show in the evening but the stage was far from the place the audience was made to sit and there was not enough lighting so the people could not have a proper look at the shows. The laser light show was decent and worth seeing. But this place is historically very important and it deserves much more development.

Needs more activities and engagement for tourists. I went there with a ticket of 850 which included everything inside the fort. The light and sound show and 7D laser show are really good however you don't feel the energy there except these two. Buffet was included in my ticket and I would say better avoid it and you can save 150 rupees there only. Very average food and no options.
I like the whole concept, to provide one-stop for tourists into Punjab's hostoysnd culture however I do feel it requires brushing up!

A beautiful place.
You have to buy a ticket to enter the Fort.
The ticket counter is near the parking area.
You have a vehicle which can take you on a ride and cover all the places at an extra charge and a ticket has to be taken for that also.
The place is maintained very well.
Visit the place in the noon as its very hot in the day time.

Out of all forts I have visited in India, felt this place to have a very good balance of commercial activities to earn revenue and Also keeping the cultural heritage intact. Fort is very very clean, extremely well illuminated and kept in fantastic shape. Appreciate the management over this. Hoping to return again by end of year as the day I went , we could not enjoy the laser show as some concert was going on .

For food you have a restaurant and small snack centre
There is a museum to explore the history as well and you can enjoy the night show where you can witness the culture and dance of Punjab
You can buy Punjabi traditional clothes as well.

A tourist place with traditional Bhangra dance, magic show and other activities. Turban Museum exhibits rich variety of Punjabi turbans. One should have sufficient time (2-3 hours) to see most of the things. The common entry fee is ₹ 50/- and needs to pay additional for weapon museum and 7D show.
Sikandar Khatri — Google review
The first we had seen the 7D movie of Ranjit Singh which was very interesting then the riding of camel and double riding cycle was very new experience which was amazing. Then the Bhangra dance which was very nice.

A decent visit in Amritsar. The fort is maintained well enough in spots. It is a mix of activities, restaurants and shops inside. You will need approximately 1-2 hours to explore at your own pace.

Great historic place, firstly I was thinking that the ticket is costly but after the experience, it is really worth it . The activities like horse riding/camel riding, games, 7d show and bicycle are included. You also experience live Bhangra here with it weapon showcase is also there.
Yuvraj Singh — Google review
We enjoyed our visit to fort. 450/- is the lowest entry ticket which includes fort entry, live performance of Bhangra and Gidda, laser show and some fun activities like couple bicycle, hoverboard ride, horse/camel ride, archery, basketball, dart etc..
If you pay 600/- then you get access to 7D show which is fun🤩 add another 150/- and you’ll get your unlimited maharaja thali meal included in the same.
We took 750/- ticket per head and enjoyed the fort experience thoroughly.
We entered around 6:30 and were done by 9-9:30/-pm.
You might need assistance to ask what to do when, you can check the same with volunteers. 8pm is 7D show and 7:30 is laser show.

Gobindgarh Fort is a hidden gem that exceeded our expectations. The ample parking space made our visit hassle-free, and once inside, the experience only got better. The fort seamlessly blends history and modern amenities with a food court offering a diverse range of culinary delights. The heritage shops are a treasure trove of authentic souvenirs, adding to the cultural immersion.
What truly sets Gobindgarh Fort apart is its commitment to providing more than just a historical tour. Adventure enthusiasts will be thrilled with the array of activities available, from cycling to camel rides, adding an extra layer of excitement to the visit. It's a well-rounded destination that caters to diverse interests, making it a must-visit for both history enthusiasts and those seeking a day filled with adventure and exploration.

The Dharamshala was good, but something I didn't like was the Khatmal on the beds, I couldn't sleep the whole night and had to change the room the next day. My visit was pretty good besides the room issue. There is a restaurant near Dharmashala and a sweet shop as well. The restaurant is just a few steps away from the Dharamshala and its Chhole Bhature prepared from Desi Ghee. The taste and everything is undefined. The purity, my experience was the best about the food and other shops. It's worth the time and money. It is affordable, no offence. I recommend the Rasmalai and chhole bhature! Whenever you go to Amritsar or visit The Golden Temple, make sure you grab a bite of these. May Guru Nanak Ji Bless You!

Durgiana Temple is a famous Hindu temple located in Amritsar, in an Indian state called Punjab. This temple was built in the honour of Goddess Durga, hence the name Durgiana Temple. You can also find the idols of Lord Vishnu, who is known as the protector of the world and Goddess Lakshmi who is known as the goddess of wealth in this temple. The architecture style of the Durgiana Temple is similar to the style of the Golden Temple which is a Gurudwara located in the same city. Both temples hold an equal amount of importance in the city in terms of worship. The Durgiana Temple is also known as Sitla Mandir, Lakshmi Narayan Temple and Durga Tirath temple amongst the locals in Punjab.
According to Hindu mythology, many incidences took place in this temple wherein one incidence Lava and Kusha (Children of Lord Rama) tied Lord Hanuman to a tree in the temple as a challenge. And in another incidence, it is said that the grandson of Lord Surya, Iksvaku, had performed a number of yagyas in the same area. Therefore, according to Hindu Mythology, the land of Durgiana Temple is considered as a holy land. Since the Durgiana Temple is built in the middle of the sacred lake, it is said that the temple holds holy power which helps people with their problems. Since there are many temples located in the city of Amritsar, it is the best city to be in the list of your pilgrimage tours. It is a brilliantly built temple.

The Akal Takht Gurudwara is the holiest Sikh place of worship and forms part of the religious establishment known as the Takht. The Takht is a seat of temporal and spiritual authority for Sikhs. It is also known as the "Throne of timeless one." The gurudwara functions as a place where Sikhs can come to resolve sequential issues.
One of the must visit holy places in amristar. Neatly maintained. Shoe and baggage keeping facilities available at free. Jallianwalla is near this temple. Most traditional place for Punjabi. The best time to visit is in the evening and it will be looking stunning. Entry is always free..

The Akal Takht ("Throne of the Timeless One") is one of five takhts (seats of power) of the Sikhs. It is located in the Darbar Sahib (Golden Temple) complex in Amritsar, Punjab, India. The Akal Takht (originally called Akal Bunga) was built by Shri Guru Hargobind Ji as a place of justice and consideration of temporal issues; the highest seat of earthly authority of the Khalsa (the collective body of the Sikhs) and the place of the Jathedar, the highest spokesman of the Sikhs.
Originally known as Akal Bunga, the building directly opposite the Harmandir Sahib was founded by sixth Sikh Guru, Guru Hargobind, as a symbol of political sovereignty and where spiritual and temporal concerns of the Sikh people could be addressed. Along with Baba Buddha and Bhai Gurdas, the sixth Sikh Guru built a 9-foot-high concrete slab. When Guru Hargobind revealed the platform on 15 June 1606, he put on two swords: one indicated his spiritual authority (piri) and the other, his temporal authority (miri).
The Akal Takht was built on a site where there existed only a high mound of earth across a wide-open space. It was a place where Guru Hargobind played as a child. The original Takht was a simple platform, 3.5 metres (10ft) high, on which Guru Hargobind would sit in court to receive petitions and administer justice. He was surrounded by insignia of royalty such as the parasol and the flywhisk. Later, there was an open-air semi-circular structure built on marble pillars and a gilded interior section. There were also painted wall panels depicting Europeans.
The modern building is a five-story structure with marble inlay and a gold-leafed dome. Three of the stories were added by Ranjit Singh in the 1700s.

Akal Takht serves as one of the five seats of Sikh religious authority. Akal which means the ‘Timeless One’ while Takht means ‘the throne’. Translated, Akal Takht means the ‘Throne of the Immortal’. It is also the central altar for the Sikh political assembly. Shri Guru Hargobind Singh laid the foundation stone of the Akal Takht building in 1605.
The building faces the Darshini Deorhi, which leads to the Golden Temple. Originally the Akal Takht was just 3.5 metres higher from the ground. Today, it’s a 5 storey building with gold leafed dome.

When Guru Hargobind revealed the platform on 15 June 1606, he put on two swords: one indicated his spiritual authority (piri) and the other, his temporal authority (miri). According to Kanwarjit Singh Kang, the platform raised by Guru Hargobind was built in 1609, a later dating.
The first-ever structure erected on the premises was an open brick platform consecrated by Guru Hargobind. Later, a hall would be erected at the site.
In the 18th century, Ahmed Shah Abdali and Massa Rangar led a series of attacks on the Akal Takht and Harmandir Sahib. Takht which is on the first floor was rebuilt in brick in 1774, under Sultan-ul-Qaum Jassa Singh Ahluwalia (1718–1783) – the leader of the Sikh Confederacy in Punjab. The renovations during the 18th century gave the building a "better shape". An Udasi mahant by the name of Pritam Das (founder of Akhara Sangalwara, also located nearby) was responsible for originally installing the dual Nishan Sahibs at the Akal Takht.
Hari Singh Nalwa, a general of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, decorated the Akal Takht with gold and is responsible for adding the golden dome at the top of the edifice. Maharaja Ranjit Singh's revamping of the building in the first half of the 19th century raised the number of stories of the structure to five. The murals that had existed in the original building had been painted around the mid-19th century. There were murals decorating the walls of the first and second stories.

The Akal Takht, meaning throne of the timeless one, is one of five takhts of the Sikhs. It is located in the Harmandir Sahib complex in Amritsar, Punjab.
Akal Takhat Sahib means Eternal Throne. It is also part of the Golden Temple complex in Amritsar.
It stood as a symbol of political bulwark against the MughalEmperors in the 17th and 18th century. Various attacks on the Akal Takhat and Harimandir Sahib have been led in past by Ahmed Shah Abdali and Massa Rangar in the 18 century. On June 4, 1984, the Indian Army did more than just damage the outer facade of the Akal Takhat, they destroyed the sancitity of the Akal Takht with tanks and reduced it to rubble, while attempting to take out Sikh militants in a controversial military operation known as Operation Bluestar.
It is the most supreme of all the Takhats. There are four other takhatsestablished by the panth (community) during the last century:
Keshgarh Sahib (Anandpur)
Patna Sahib
Hazur Sahib
Damdama Sahib
Often, Amritsar is considered a takht.
The Jathedar of the Akal Takhat is the highest spokesperson of the Sikh Panth and is meant to be a spiritual leader without control or influence from any outside, politically motivated sources. The present jathedar is Bhai Joginder Singh Vedanti.

The place deserves at least two visits - one during the day to enjoy the experience in full daylight and one in the evening, when the lights are on highlighting the details. Good time is the time of evening prayers and taking the Holly Book to sleep at around 10 p.m. During the day it is worth to visit the place with a local guide who will show you places that otherwise you would miss or have no idea that you could visit like the kitchens serving 40 to 50 thousand meals each day... And you enjoy that beautiful place free. Unfortunately taking photographs in the temple is strictly forbidden - pictures only outside...

2. Being the main attraction, this place can get reao crowded, keep that in mind.

The Golden Temple in Amritsar, also known as Harmandir Sahib, is an iconic Sikh religious site and a must-visit destination. It is a place of profound spiritual significance and architectural beauty. The stunning golden structure is surrounded by a serene and picturesque lake, creating a sense of peace and tranquility.
The temple complex is open to people of all faiths and offers free meals to visitors, showcasing the Sikh principles of equality and selfless service. The interior of the temple is equally impressive with its intricate artwork and gilded walls. The atmosphere is often filled with devotional music and a palpable sense of spirituality.
However, the temple can get crowded, almost daily and especially during religious festivals, so it’s advisable to visit during quieter times for a more serene experience. Overall, the Golden Temple is a unique and spiritually enriching place that is well worth a visit for its cultural, religious, and architectural significance.

The temple is open to people of all faith and gives one the ability to do Seva, to serve humanity. its a must visit place at least once in a lifetime.

Beautiful experience in the holiest Sikh place. We visited at night (~9 pm) to witness the “putting to bed” ceremony and it was amazing . We also visited the kitchen and seeing the amount of people eating there was quite extraordinary. Keep in mind you need to take off your shoes and socks to enter the temple, but it is quite clean. If you enjoy this kind of place it is worth coming to Amritsar just to see this temple . The temple is very beautiful 😍

Smooth flow inside (entry into the main worship area does have a very long queue however) and stunning views. The temple has a beautiful philosophy of welcoming all and I encourage all to take it up.

It would be wrong to evaluate the place of this spiritual Guru because the Guru's house is the house of greatest peace and happiness and prosperity, there he is the house of peace and ending the restlessness of the mind. After going there, I felt that God was with me in such a way that I was not worried about any reason, I was just so engrossed in having darshan that I did not even realize that I had seen God with my own eyes.

Had a great time here after visiting beautiful golden temple ❤️ this place is good to hangout and explore some historic great stories. And the place has been restored but I don't think it should have been restored because the real historic look gives some straight sight of reality. Some historic places should not be restored. But whatever done is okay. Good to visit.

Its a historical place, very well maintained, salute to the martyr, it's a symbol of Barbaric act by British on innocent Indians. Still we remember our brothers and sisters and little ones who lost their life in protecting the motherland.

Jallianwala Bagh is a public garden in the city of Amritsar, Punjab, India. It is a historical site that commemorates the tragic event of the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, which took place on April 13, 1919. The incident involved the British Army opening fire on a peaceful gathering of unarmed civilians, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of people. Visitors can see bullet holes in the walls and learn about the history of the event through exhibits and audio-visual presentations. The garden also features a flame of eternal freedom, which burns in memory of the victims.
While the Jallianwala Bagh is a somber and emotionally charged site, it is an important reminder of India's struggle for independence and the sacrifices made by its people. It is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in Indian history and culture. However, visitors should be prepared for the heavy crowds and long lines, as this site is a popular tourist attraction. The place is obviously a very important one if we talk about our history. The complex is quite huge in terms of its area. There are 3-4 one storey cottages type buildings which are used as a museum. There are few places which are preserved very well and still reminds of that era. The place was beautiful decorated with plants n gardening. Entry is free for everyone.

Beautiful memorial park to visit. Don't need tickets to visit the place. It's situated in front of golden temple. One can also see those bullet marks on the wall. Can read those heartbreaking story of that black day and can have a glimpse of the hard path of our ancestors had to go through for a free India.
It is nearby to Golden temple, so whenever you go to visit the Golden Temple you may go before an hour to visit Jalianwala Bagh.

Excellent way to pay a tribute to the martyrs. The shows projected at each of the galleries gave a clear account of the happenings in the Bagh. The light show started at 7 p.m. as we visited during summer and lasted for around 30 minutes. During winter the timing for the light show varies. It is a very noble service and the security guards are very polite and agile. Respect and admire the way the Bagh has been maintained.
One suggestion- They should keep a minimal entry fee as it is one of the tourist attractions with no offense intended to the authorities.

It is a public garden that serves as a memorial to the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, which took place on April 13, 1919. The incident involved the British Indian Army opening fire on a crowd of peaceful protesters, resulting in the death of hundreds of innocent people.

Mixed feelings about the place. The history is sad, but the place has been done up nicely as a memorial. However, it has become a tourist place and feel that we do not deserve the freedom and sacrifice. Unruly and noisy crowd that is interested only clicking pictures and does not go with the spirit of the memorial.

This historical place ,we all are aware of ..it would be nicer ,if there is a sacred place or a temple where people can offer their prayers to the deceased souls, to offer respect to them. We can't imagine what they must have gone through. Also some.benches in the garden park also should be kept for senior citizens n children. I.must say though, that its maintained nicely .

There is a lot of sentimental value attached to this historical place but most forget that they are inside a memorial where mass murder took place, I found most busy taking selfies making reels with pouts and various funny poses. Taking pictures is not a crime but being respectful to the attached sentiments is very important. One other problem with the place is that except the well, everything appeared to have been altered to give a face uplift. Had it been maintained in its original state it would have given goosebumps to all those who visit.

There are multiple galleries that tell multiple stories, there are places just to sit and reflect; everything for free. There is no entrance fees and yet the place is maintained so well. Just walking around, reading gives goosebumps.

If you are in Amritsar, this is a must visit place. Everyone knows about the history this place holds, but to be there can give you goosebumps. But to be very Frank, mostly it feels like a normal park. It should have been maintained the way it was. There are some nice things to witness like the well and the walls with bullet marks. The museum is also decent. But the overall wibe is missing. I am giving 5 stars because of the rich history of the place, otherwise I would have given 3.

Visiting Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar was an emotionally profound and historically significant experience. Stepping into this iconic monument, I was immediately transported back to one of the darkest chapters in Indian history.
The memorial stands as a somber reminder of the tragic events that unfolded on April 13, 1919. Walking through the narrow entrance, I could feel the weight of the past bearing down on me as I traced the footsteps of those who gathered here seeking refuge and protesting against oppressive British rule.
The bullet marks on the walls and the well into which many innocent lives were lost serve as poignant reminders of the brutality that occurred within these walls. Standing in the Martyrs' Gallery, I was moved by the photographs and artifacts that document the sacrifices made by countless individuals who laid down their lives for the cause of freedom.
Despite the solemn atmosphere, there is also a sense of resilience and hope that permeates the air. The beautifully landscaped gardens offer a peaceful respite amidst the echoes of history, allowing visitors to reflect on the past while looking towards a brighter future.
The monument is impeccably maintained, and the informative signage provides valuable insights into the events that transpired here. The presence of knowledgeable guides further enhances the visitor experience, offering valuable context and answering any questions visitors may have.
In conclusion, a visit to Jallianwala Bagh is not just a sightseeing excursion but a journey through time that leaves a lasting impact on the soul. It is a place of remembrance, reflection, and reverence—a testament to the indomitable spirit of the Indian people in the face of adversity. I highly recommend adding this historic landmark to your itinerary when visiting Amritsar.

This tranquil wetlant, the largest in Northern India, features a bird sanctuary & sweeping views.
First of all this location is not accurate. This place is named Harike Wetland but if you see the map clearly this location has no river or water source nearby which shows the location is inaccurate. Actually Harike wetland is approx 25 to 30km away from this location. This location misguided me too once but i changed location to Harike Bird Sanctuary. For easy and precise navigation i would suggest searching for Harike Barrage(Indira Gandhi Canal) or Gurudwara Nanaksar Sahib in Harike which is approx 300 mt away from Harike wetland or Bird sanctuary. You can start the journey to this sanctuary from that Gurudwara. Regarding this place, its beautiful natural wetland, winters are the best time to visit when birds from europe migrate to India.

Sri Nanaksar Gurdwara is situated in the Ludhiana district of Punjab and is located approximately five miles from the city of Jagraon along the road from Ludhiana to Moga and Ferozpur. The sacred beginnings of Nanaksar began over a hundred-years ago as a simple hut; humbled by its natural surroundings amongst the thick of the jungle. This location was specifically chosen by the Holy Saint, Baba Nand Singh Ji as it personified a spiritual retreat where one could move to escape the misguidance of the world, and concentrate on the sole treasure of Naam Simran.
Baba Nand Singh Ji was born on the Pooranmashi of month Kathak (November) in 1870 in village Sherpura, Tehsil Jagraon, Distt Ludhiana. His father’s name was Sardar Jai Singh Ji and his mother’s name was Mata Sada Kaur Ji. Even as a child, Baba Nand Singh Ji was extremely pious and his urge for devotional worship continuously saw him escape all worldly measures and partake solely in meditating the holy name of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji through recitations of Sahib Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
Baba Nand Singh Ji mastered selfless sacrifice, and devoted his existence to prolonged meditations and holy service. Baba Nand Singh Ji placed the utmost importance on the need for contemplation and never placed a single regard on weather conditions or how safe the local terrain was before embarking on his spiritual retreats. Furthermore, he never worried for worldly comforts such as food or water and solely believed that everything was in Waheguru’s hukam. This belief was principled on the thought that since he was devoting and meditating solely on the name of a higher being, all worldly requirements should

As per some historical documents, It was built in 1975 by Baba (Sant) Nand Singh with the help of the devotees .
They meditated here for a long. After him, baba Isher Singh ji served here.
This Gurudwara sahib is architectured very beautifully. It is a beautiful structure with a huge marble-floored hall and sanctum at its end.
The main festivals celebrated here are Prakash divas of Guru Nanak Dev Ji,Barsi of Baba Nand Singh ji and Jor Mela is conducted very enthusiastically on these occasions , which attracts sangat from all over.
Also there used to be huge devotees on every Fool Moon (Puranima/ puranmaasi) every month.
Main unique point of this religious place is that, not even a single panny (rupee) is given(as Charhawa) by devotees, only fruits, eatable things are given by devotees and taken as parshad.

This is a divine temple dedicated Goddess Durga. Famous as Mata Tripurmalini Mandir, it is one of the Shakti Peeth among other 50 Shakti Peeths. There's a story behind the establishment of this mandir that when Maa Sati sacrificed herself after her own father, Daksha insulted Lord Shiva, then Shivji performed tandav dance in anger with Sati's body in his arms. Then in order to pacify lord Shiva & save the universe, Lord Vishnu cut Sati Mata's body in 51 pieces & wherever the pieces fell on earth a Shakti Peeth Temple was established for the welfare of humans. Mata Tripurmalini Mandir marks the spots that received Maa Sati's right breast.
It usually takes 4 to 5 hours to take a complete tour of the mandir. You can visit this temple with your family. There a Temple dedicated to goddess Kali and a replica of Amarnath Cave Temple has been added to the Temple Complex. It's a must visit place in Jalandhar. This temple is very popular among the devotees and is visited by thousands annually.

Last time when I visited Rangla Punjab I saw 2 girls.
They were hired to play with the marbles all day long. This is a cheek, you should rather finance their education and not support this child labor! In what age do you live please? Furthermore, the poor animals should not be abused! There are many other things that can be presented and I think that every guest will understand that.

The experience was good, albeit a few things could have been better - I went with a small baby in a pram, and had to constantly lift the pram as there are no pathways for wheels, it's possible for people with wheelchairs to have similar problems so they should fix this. Another thing is that they don't let us back in after we leave, I get that there is a certain way, but we just left to keep something in the car, and couldn't come back in which was a major let down. All in all, a wonderful experience to witness authentic punjabi culture. I would definitely recommend visiting, but rather come at night than day as in day you can only click pictures and see statues and all, whereas in the night there are shows and activities like pottery wheel going on .

Title: A Tranquil Haven of Spiritual Serenity: Gurudwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib
Review:
Gurudwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib stands as a testament to the profound spiritual heritage of the Sikh religion. From the moment you step foot into its sacred premises, you are enveloped in an atmosphere of tranquility and purity that leaves an indelible mark on your soul.
Located in the holy city of Patiala, Punjab, Gurudwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib holds immense religious significance for Sikhs around the world. It is believed to possess the power to alleviate the suffering of those who visit with a sincere heart and devote themselves to prayer and contemplation.
The first thing that strikes you upon entering the gurudwara is its awe-inspiring architecture. The magnificent white marble structure adorned with intricate glasswork and frescoes creates a sense of ethereal beauty. As you make your way through the entrance gate, the serenity of the place engulfs you, transporting you to a realm of peace and devotion.
Inside, you are greeted by the melodious strains of Gurbani (Sikh devotional hymns) resonating through the air. The melodic chants, accompanied by the soothing sound of the harmonium and tabla, evoke a sense of spiritual transcendence and fill your heart with devotion. The rhythmic recitation of the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of Sikhism, further enhances the atmosphere of reverence and sanctity.
One of the most cherished aspects of the Gurudwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib experience is the langar, a community kitchen where free meals are served to all visitors, regardless of their caste, creed, or social status. The langar epitomizes the core Sikh value of selfless service and equality. Sitting alongside fellow devotees and partaking in the simple yet delicious vegetarian meal creates a sense of unity and brotherhood that is truly humbling.
The gurudwara's serene Sarovar (holy pool) serves as a focal point for reflection and purification. Devotees partake in the sacred ritual of Karah Parshad, a sweet offering distributed to all as a blessing. Walking around the Sarovar, absorbing its tranquil ambiance and witnessing the devotion of pilgrims taking a dip in its holy waters, one cannot help but feel a deep connection to the divine.
The spiritual experience at Gurudwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib is not limited to Sikhs alone; people from all walks of life are welcomed with open arms. Whether seeking solace, spiritual guidance, or simply a respite from the chaos of the outside world, this gurudwara offers a sanctuary where one can find inner peace and rejuvenation.
In conclusion, a visit to Gurudwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib is an enriching and purifying experience that leaves an everlasting impression on your spirit. Its serene ambiance, soul-stirring devotional music, selfless service through langar, and the profound religious respect it holds in the Sikh faith make it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking solace and spiritual enlightenment.

Zakir Hussain Rose Garden in Chandigarh is believed to be the largest rose garden in Asia.
In addition to roses, the promotional literature says there are over 1000 varieties there, there are also several medicinal herbs, plants and trees. The roses are laid out in aesthetically designed flowerbeds, surrounded by beautifully landscaped areas interspersed with trees and flowering shrubs.
I couldn't see the garden in full bloom as I visited towards the end of March in 2015, after the Rose Festival was over, and many of the flowerbeds were being relaid for the next season.
There are some fountains towards one of the entrances, and a large wind chime.

I visited the rose garden in Chandigarh with my family last week. It is supposed to be the largest rose garden in Asia, but I was disappointed by the lack of roses. There were very few roses and they were not very colorful or fragrant. The garden looked more like a regular park with swings and slides for kids and a fountain for decoration. The only positive thing was that my son enjoyed playing on the slides and swings for an hour. I think the rose garden needs more attention and improvement to live up to its name and reputation.

Zakir Hussain Rose Garden is very nice and special place to visit in Chandigarh. The garden is very well maintained and you will be amazed to see the different varieties and colours of roses. This is the largest Rose Garden in Asia and is spread over an area of 40 acres and has more than 32,500 plants representing around 825 varieties of roses. This is nice place if you want to spend some time in peace. However the flowering season is mostly in summers so in winters the flowering is scarce. Kids also have a play area inside the garden so they can equally enjoy. Rose festival here is very popular. Must visit this place.

The garden was set up in 1967 and spread over an area of 30 acres. The garden has collection of 50000 rose bushes with 1600 different spices which makes the place unique one.
Every year, the popular rose festival begins on feb.17 and concludes on Feb.19.

This was a beautiful calm place with lovely views. It was a great place to walk and along with nice tracks and even found the big Buddha statue down the back. Nice and flat, easy to walk and very pretty.

This is more than just a lake with lots of fun things to do. For starters, there are several food kiosks with moderate prices and a wide range of selections.
Boating is the main attraction, and there are various alternatives available, including paddle, row, and shikhara boats. The view is spectacular, and there are various additional activities available, such as rock climbing and mini swings, to help you unwind. This is the most crowded spot in Chandigarh, yet it is also the most beautiful. You may unwind and enjoy the scenery while spending the evening with family or friends at a reasonable fee. The boating time is half an hour, but it was well worth it for a paddle with the choice of two or four people in a boat. This is a must-see place in Chandigarh.

Visiting Sukhna Lake in the evening is the best time to do so. Boating is also available here. There is also a good selection of food options. There are vendors selling everything from South Indian food to Chinese food. Chandigarh's most picturesque place.

Great place for hangout. It's a tourist place. People who came Chandigarh from other areas, always visit Sukhna Lake. The view of sukhna lake in evening is amazing. When I went there, I just sat on the boundary to feel the silence and calmness of that place. Along the Sukhna lake there's a long route for walking.

Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh is a sizable lake, and the best time to visit is in the evening when boating facilities are available. However, in windy weather, boating may not be available for safety reasons. There are plenty of eateries at the entrance of the lake, making it the ideal place to spend quality time, especially for some 'me' time.

It was my first place that I visited after coming to Chandigarh. The sunset was looking beautiful ❤️ and the air was flowing slowly. You can visit this place alone or with your friends and family.
Boating is available. You can take the rides as well. You will find the peace and the fresh air.
You can get the auto rickshaw from Shivalik park easily. Charge you around 20-30 rs.

One of the most beautiful place in Chandigarh.
Visit for sunset or sunrise. In winter it's too cold and in summers this place is glowing ☺️

Most picturesque place of chandigarh Sukhna Lake is a reservoir at the foothills of the Himalayas. This 3 km² rainfed lake was created in 1958 by damming the Sukhna Choe, a seasonal stream coming down from the Shivalik Hills. Originally, the seasonal flow entered the lake directly causing heavy siltation.
It has ample food joints in the food court, drinking water facilities, boating facilities (Rs 250 for 2 seater boat + 250 as security). Good for nature lovers.

I have been visiting this place for past 20 years and it still holds the charm. It brings peace and tranquility. Walking the entire track feels amazing while looking at the greenery on one side and the water with paddle boats and kayaks on the other side. It's one of the most inclusive public spaces I have come across in India. There are people running, walking, doing exercise, couples, elderly, kids and a lot more. Sukhna has something to offer to everyone. I prefer the Garden of Silence side as it's more peaceful compare to the entrance.
Monsoon is one of the good times as everything is lush green and the lake is full. Winter is also great as you can sit and relax on the toasty stone embankment or the grass and eat oranges and soak in the sun.
It's a place one must visit if going to Chandigarh.

The Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh weaves a magical tapestry of serenity and splendor. This picturesque man-made marvel, born from the vision of the great architect Le Corbusier, stands as a true oasis amidst the modern chaos of the city.
Imagine a place where time seems to slow down, and worries melt away like droplets on the lake's glassy surface. Sukhna Lake beckons you with open arms, inviting you to escape the mundane and embrace the extraordinary. The verdant foliage of the Shivalik Hills embraces you like a warm hug. The gentle breeze carries the faint melody of birdsong, setting the stage for a symphony of nature's finest performance. One can have an awesome view of the sunrise over there with cold Breeze and pleasant weather.
Majestic migratory birds from distant lands descend upon Sukhna Lake, transforming it into a vibrant aviary. They paint the skies with their grace, and birdwatchers and photographers alike are left spellbound by this feathery spectacle. As the sun dips below the horizon, the lake dons its golden cloak, and the air becomes infused with the aroma of camaraderie and laughter. The Christ Church in Kasauli, built during British rule, is a historic church featuring stained-glass windows and a clock tower. Nature and peace enthusiasts should visit this beautiful place located near the bus/taxi stand. Although weekends can be crowded, weekdays offer a peaceful atmosphere to enjoy the roadside food stalls serving momos and coffee. It's advisable to bring warm clothing due to the chilly weather at times.

Christ Church, Kasauli, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, earlier an Anglican Church, was built in 1853 and managed by Church of North India (CNI) since 1970. Built of dressed sandstone, the church has a cruciform floor plan. The fine-stained glass windows above the high altar depict the Christ on the cross. This central window is flanked by those depicting Joseph and Mary. A side altar has windows with Saint Barnabas and Saint Francis of Assisi. The latter is considered to be the patron saint of animals and the natural environment; not unexpectedly, the window here depicts him with doves at his feet. Complete with arches and buttresses, the church is Kasauli’s landmark and stands tall as you enter the town.
The distinctive church of the architecture includes a clock tower with a sundial in the front, main hall, cruciform floor, beautiful stained glass windows and an aisle which will lead to the beautiful altar sculpture, in which Jesus Christ is bound by Joseph and Mary. There are stained glasses over the altar image of Jesus Christ which depicts the Crucifixion where the image of Christ is flanked by those of Joseph and Mary.
Location: Right at the center of Kasauli; the town was developed around it.
Cleanliness: The area is maintained clean.
Parking: Near the multi level parking.
Overall, must visit once in your lifetime.

This church looks really amazing from both outside as well as inside as this church was made during the British rule period. It's foundation is still strong. The church use to be so much quiet and calm from inside. You can go and sit here whether Inside or outside you'll find it peace . It's covered with nature from all sides and that's the best thing about. If you visit kasauli do come here. Church is nearby bus stand and mall road .

The Mall Road in Kasauli is one of the major attractions of this town. There are two parts including the Upper Mall and the Lower Mall.
The Upper Mall offers a few shops and eateries, but the most attractive factor about it is the beautiful views that it promises. The splendid scenic views and the rolling hills, coupled with a couple of historic monuments make the Upper Mall a must visit.
The lower mall on the other hand, is full of small shops and cafes, perfect to sit down and enjoy a few local dishes.
The famous Church is also on the mall road. From Mall road you can visit sunrise point, sunset point, monkey point. But either you have to walk down or take a local taxi. You cannot drive by your own car as private vehicles are restricted unless you hold permit to drive to these points.

The Christ church near the entrance to the main parking lot of the heritage market is one of the oldest churches in the region. Simply looking at it gives you a feeling of how the area must have been in the 19th century, with the old rustic church architecture maintained to the present day.
It is on the same route that leads to Lover's Lane and sunset point. At the entrance itself, you can see that it was constructed in 1844. From the inside, the church is very well-maintained and beautiful. It has a comfortable sitting space with benches for people who wish to sit and pray.
The roof also has a beautiful chandelier, and the main altar is directly visible from the church's main door as well. The place becomes even more beautiful in the winter since it is covered with fog on the hilltop, and you can feel the old Venetian architecture inside—a must-visit place at Kasauli.

The place is absolutely worth the trail. The walk is about 3 kms and there are two roads leading to the same point. One is from the side of a hill on the edge, where you can see the rest of the valley and mountains . The other is from an inside road where cars usually go. They both meet at a road where you'll find a tuck shop , you can get a couple of snacks options and juice and water there. And then just about 500 mtrs ahead you see the sunset point. It has a couple of seating spots. If you're early, you can occupy one. The view is breathtaking and it gets pretty cold and windy (feels like under 10°) so make sure you carry a cap, or muffler and an extra layer to cover yourself. There's swings and a bathroom as well but it doesn't have running water. Could be a bit more maintained. Post sunset , it can get dark very quickly but the way back isn't lonely at all since many people walk back from there. The sky on your trail back turns into many hues of warm and cold tones. Spent hours here in this quaint and serene spot.

Sunset Point in Kasauli is a unique place. It's friendly for all ages to wait at, for the sun to set. The walk to the point is a trudge about a kilometer. It's worth it. Noticed that the sun doesn't set, it goes into the background and merges in the sky in beautiful colors yellow, orange, brown......extraordinary !!!!

Amazing experience of sunset here. The lights, shades, and colors that one experiences here are beyond words. Uncle's tea is a relief here after the long trek to this point. Reach a bit early to have a better viewing spot as it gets crowded around the sunset.
Washrooms could be cleaner as they are paid...elderly people would definitely enjoy the view but reaching there could be a challenge. If paid golf cart service can be arranged, then it would be great for them.
Request to all: Please do not litter this place as it is one of the cleaner places among sunset points.

Its a nice walk up till the sunset point in Kasauli. Its a nice tourist place but to reach there you need to book taxi from Kasauli as your car is not allowed in cantonment area. Your car will be parked in the parking and you will have to walk till old Kasauli heritage Mall road. For sunset point as well as manki point you will need a local taxi which will charge around 300 to 500 rs for return fare. Try to reach there within 3:30 pm. Spend some time and then come back towards Sunset point. Awesome view. On return, you can visit Church & Mull Road (Heritage Market). Taste Bun Samosa at Narinder Sweets (Tannu). It’s different taste from normal samosa. You will enjoy.
Adding photos for you.
Manki Point, also known as Sanjeevni Hanuman Temple, is a small Hindu temple located on a hilltop in Kasauli. The temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman and is home to many monkeys. Visitors can enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding area from the top of the hill. The temple was recently reopened after being closed due to Covid-19 restrictions. Visitors are not allowed to bring cameras or phones and must deposit all bags at the check point before proceeding on foot.
So peaceful and beautiful place to visit. It is on peak of the hills of Kasauli.
You need to be fully vaccinated otherwise you won't be allowed to pass the security.
Phones, baggages, snacks and electronic devices are not allowed in there because of the increased cases of monkeys snatching these items.

There is Hanuman temple at highest peak of hill.
1. Take a cab from kasauli market, it takes 10 minutes to reach there.
2. Its military area so you are not allowed to take any electronics gadgets even phone, smart watch, charger, airpods.
3. At entry gate you can deposit your phone and bag with charges.
4. After that they will give you ID card and ask for checking.
5. Its takes 15-20 minutes to climb only through stairs.
6. You can enjoy beauty of nature in minimum 1 hour and maximum 2 hour.
Note - Only temple is there and canteen is also there at top.

To reach this point one can either get a taxi or walk from Mall road. It's around 4km if you want to walk and it's doable for almost everyone. Once you reach the main entry point, you'll have to show an ID card and deposit any bag and electronics equipment (smartphone/smartwatch/cameras) as most of the reviews mentioned. There is a small deposit fee (50 for a bag with 2 phones). From the main entrance you'll still need to walk 5 mins to reach the main stairway, from where you can get to the top. The view at the top is great but if you're unlucky (like me) and go when there's foggy weather you won't be able to fully appreciate it. The only flaw is that there's no decent food points in the whole complex. The closest one is on the Mall road.

The best view point I must say, the place was open after staying closed due to Covid. No camera or phones are allowed, we have to deposit all bags at the check point and then proceed on foot. Situated in a defence area, the climb atop the hill is fun, there are steps in few pathways... but when you reach the top the view is magical and a must see... spending time at the top is very peaceful. Must go. No phones were allowed hence no photos to upload.

A divine experience. It is approx 500 metres walk inside the Airforce Complex before you reach the base from where there is an approx 500 metres climb up the hill to the temple. The climb is steep but is not as difficult as some people sound in the reviews. There are enough benches enroute…. one can catch a breath whenever required and continue. It is a proper covered, concrete paved way, interspersed with stairs. There is a restaurant and a Prasad Shop on top. There are a few monkeys enroute but they are used to humans and do not disturb you….. but will grab any eatables…. so do not carry ANY eatables….. even the Prasad on the way down !! Apart from the divine experience, the view from top is breathtaking.

The temple is almost 2.5 kms from mall road parking. You can get taxis from the parking area, personal vehicles are not allowed. The taxis will cost INR 200 one side. You should carry a small bag with you to deposit your phone and smart watch at the counter.
There are staircases and ramp to reach the top. It's a good height of around 500ms to climb to reach the temple. You will take about 30-45 minutes to reach on the top.
You can buy Prasad on the top itself. There is a small shop where you can eat snacks but don't forget to carry cash because you will not have for phone with you and card doesn't work here.
It's quite windy at the top so don't forget to carry a stall or a light sweater based on the weather you can decide
The entry is till 1PM in the afternoon and than it reopens at 2PM. The temple is not closed just at the entry gate where you get passes these people are on lunch break.
It's advised to wear shoes because the stairs are Rocky and good distance to walk.
While coming back as well you can get taxis. Same INR 200 each side.
Be careful with the monkeys. Don't carry eatables which are visible to them. You can have something in your bag or pocket.
Overall It's a good experience

The legend says that during Ramayan, when lord Lakshman was injured and Hanuman ji was asked to carry sanjeevni for him, his one foot touched this mount top and hence people made a temple there dedicating to him.

Tara Devi Temple
Hindu temple
Sights & Landmarks
Holy site built amid Himalayan peaks in the 18th century, inspired by a vision of the goddess Tara.
visited in february first week, 2018. close to shimla(around 20kms), on a hill top...as with all tracks here, a bit of expertise in driving in such terrains is required to not be a nuisance to others(khud maro wo tumhaari problem hai). parking available near the top/temple, some shops are also there where you can buy chips/juices/water etc. toilets are there half way the stair-climb. few monkeys always hanging around to see what you brought for a meal.
beautiful views from the top...otherwise it is as good as any other temple. you will enjoy a trip to this place. few people(that is to my liking) visit the place.

As you enter the premises, a sort of calmness prevails and one gets soaked in the bhakti of Ma Tara Devi temple in Himachal Pradesh India.
Along with HER deity there are other deities of Ma Saraswati and Ma Kali.
The entire view from the main balcony is mesmerizing and fills one's heart with joy and happiness.
After taking blessings from Ma one can have a Bhandara on Sunday and Tuesday.
A place worth visiting.

This should be in your itinerary of you are visiting Shimla or nearby. The temple is so beautiful, I couldn't get my eyes off it.
It was at such a height and views were amazing. Though it was cloudy when I visited, but if you are lucky, you'll experience mesmerizing views.

Very nice place to visit for trekking and religious devotion. Any one can see a vast view of natural beauty.
Rakesh Kumar — Google review
Tara Devi temple is situated at around 18 kms from Shimla old bus stand, situated at a beautiful hill from where whole Shimla is visible, although the road from Shoghi to Tara Devi of about 7 kms is narrow single road with sharp bends and steep climb, but local bus drivers are habitual of these sharp bends and climb.
The whole route from Shimla to Tara Devi is beautiful and the renovated temple with teak wood new look, is stunningly beautiful.
A must visit place when on tour to Shimla.
And yes on Sundays and Tuesdays a Bhandara is organized at the temple with five different items served with rice, and people will have to wait for their turn if they want to organize a Bhandara.

One of the major pilgrimage sites for Hindus, this place is beautifully maintained and looks even more beautiful in the evening. One can take bath in the holy lake and there's also a Shiv temple for worship.

Braham Sarovar, as the name suggests, is associated with Lord Brahma, the creator of the Universe. Taking dip in holy water of sarover during Solar Eclipse is considered equal to the merits of performing thousands of Asvamedha Yajnas. According to Local Legends this tank was first excavated by King Kuru the ancestor of Kauravs & Pandavas. Having seen its huge water body Abul-Fazl the courtier of Mughal emperor Akbar during solar eclipse has described the vast water body of this sarovar as miniature Sea. According to the local tradition a tower was erected by Yudhistar in the island situated in the middle of sarovar as a token of his victory in the Mahabharta battle. In the same island complex lies a ancient Draupadi kupa. The shrine of Lord Shiva located on the northern bank of the sarovar is called Sarveshwar Mahadev. According to the tradition, the Shiva Linga was installed here by Lord Brahma himself. Annual Gita Jyanti celebrations is held on banks of bramsarover in November-December.

Haryana Kurukshetra is a holy city with historic importance and famous for Brhma Sarovar & temples. Brahma Sarovar is a big water body that attracts Millions of people every year and is most crowded during the festive seasons.
I visited this place this August 2022. The Sarovar was big & clean. A partition was made in the Sarovar to indicate the safe side for bathing. However, good swimmers were jumping the other side and enjoying.
The hawkers can also be found selling food items around the Sarovar. Teams of local Police patrol the site every now and then to ensure the safety of the visitors.
The ideal time to visit the site is the evening, when this location becomes peaceful and calm.

Brahma Sarovar is an ancient water pool sacred to Hinduism in old Kurukshetra city, in the state of Haryana in North India.
Hinduism lays emphasis on taking bath for internal and external purity. Most religious sites have water pools or sarovar in or near the Hindu temple and Sikh gurdwara.
The Hindu genealogy registers at Kurukshetra, Haryana are kept here.
Expect over 100,000 devotees visiting the place during eclipse.

I visited the Brahma Sarovar in August 2023. During the daytime, it appeared quite average. It was moderately crowded, and many of the events were scheduled for nighttime only. The sarovar water and majestic chariot made my visit worthwhile.

Brahma Sarovar in Kurukshetra is not just a water tank; it's a sacred oasis steeped in myth and spirituality. Standing beside its tranquil waters, I couldn't help but feel the divine energy that emanates from this ancient place of worship.
In close proximity, the Birla Gita Mandir and Baba Nath's 'haveli' stand as testament to the spiritual richness of Kurukshetra. Each visit to these hallowed grounds reminded me of the deep-rooted heritage and profound beliefs that have shaped this land.
For me, Brahma Sarovar is more than just a sacred site; it's a place where time seems to stand still, where the heart finds solace, and where the soul feels truly at home. Every visit here is a journey into the depths of my own spirituality, a reminder of the profound connection between the divine and the earthly.
In conclusion, Brahma Sarovar is a jewel in the spiritual crown of Kurukshetra. Its beauty transcends the physical, touching the very essence of our being. To witness the magic of this sacred tank is to partake in a timeless dance of faith, nature, and divinity. This is a place where the soul finds its sanctuary, and where one can truly connect with the eternal. A visit here is not just a journey; it's a pilgrimage of the heart and spirit.

First Floor has wall paintings of different materials and styles like Palm Leaf Paintings, Cloth Paintings in Rajasthani, Odisha Styles.
Second Floor has adaptation of various scenes of Mahabharat and Lord Krishna’ Birth to God Forms.

Cleanliness and Maintenance of museum is very good.

Nestled within its walls, the Krishna Museum beckons visitors on an extraordinary journey into the enigmatic realm of Lord Krishna. Here, the multifaceted persona of Krishna, as woven into the tapestry of the Mahabharata and the Bhagvata Purana, unfolds in all its splendor.
This captivating museum comprises six galleries, divided evenly between two blocks. Each gallery holds a treasure trove of artifacts that breathe life into the legend of Lord Krishna. Stone sculptures, bronze castings, delicate leaf etchings, exquisite terracotta creations, and particularly, the miniature paintings, bear testament to the craftsmanship of the era.
The level of intricacy and devotion poured into each miniature painting truly struck me. These masterpieces felt like a glimpse into the artist's soul, capturing the essence of devotion and storytelling. It was as if they held a mirror to the spiritual journey of Lord Krishna. The aura is palpable, and one can almost sense the presence of the deity within the walls.
Stepping into the museum feels like a pilgrimage into the heart of devotion and artistry. Every piece, meticulously curated, narrates a story of its own, echoing the timeless tales of Krishna's divine escapades.
As an extension of this sanctuary of culture, the Multimedia Mahabharata and Gita Gallery, a collaboration between Haryana Tourism and the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, offers a digital odyssey through the epic. It seamlessly intertwines technology with tradition, providing a dynamic and immersive experience for modern audiences.
The Krishna Museum stands as a beacon, not only to the devotees of Lord Krishna but to all seekers of wisdom and lovers of art. It offers a rare glimpse into the cultural tapestry of ancient India, preserving the legacy of Lord Krishna for generations to come.
In conclusion, a visit to the Krishna Museum is akin to embarking on a spiritual sojourn, where the essence of Lord Krishna permeates every corner. Its meticulously curated exhibits and innovative multimedia gallery pay homage to the enduring legacy of this divine deity. For anyone seeking to immerse themselves in the rich cultural heritage of India, this museum is an absolute must-visit.

Chail Palace, a refined establishment set in a magnificent 19th-century palace, offers diverse amenities such as a restaurant and bar, alongside tennis courts. This genteel hotel presents an array of attractions to explore, including the renowned Chail Wildlife Sanctuary and Kali Ka Tibba. The area's mesmerizing rainfall provides an awe-inspiring spectacle that adds charm to the visit depending on the time of year.
Great place to spend time with family and friends. It is also a kid friendly place as there is a huge garden with swings!
The lush garden and pine trees provide soothing and peaceful energy. The food at the restaurant is nice although the service needs improvement. So, please expect some delay in food delivery post orders.
Overall, a very nice place to enjoy the weather and spend 2-3 hours!

The location is beautiful .. The entire palace is beautiful.. The reason why I've rated 3 is you need to spend rupees 200 per person.. But there is not that variety of things to visit. The natural beauty is beautiful. Many rooms are locked. we were unable to visit those.
The nature of Himachal is beautiful. Gorgeous.

The majestic view of the surrounding hills added to the charm. The staff was courteous and attentive, ensuring a pleasant experience. Can visit here for a day trip. Staying here may not be as enjoyable as other resorts due to the age and maintenance and even the cost of the property. Rooms are royal but not practical. Still, one can get a different experience from regular hotel/resort stays.
Good:
- Tall ceiling rooms and very roomy due to large windows that may give snow peak view.
- Good room service and reasonable prices for food and drinks.
- staff is friendly and tries their best to make the stay comfortable.
- some rooms have fireplaces and are a must try even at the added cost in winters.
- feels like being in touch with part of history
Bad:
- Upholstery is not in good shape
- Fridge is not stocked enough and has age-old beverages without fizz.
- some bathrooms have really inefficient exhaust, and doors do not provide full privacy due to the gap in the doors.
- food may be good or average, depending on the availability of raw materials.
- given the price point, breakfast spread is not up to the mark.

I didn't stay here, but took a paid tour. I am glad I didn't stay here & chose other property. As the Palace is not at all managed, the rooms were just big in size ,apart from that nothing was maintained or there was no palace feeling as per the prices of the room & they didn't even have enough staff to take care of the people. So I won't recommend it for the purpose of the stay.

Entry cost per person is 200/-. With this entry price there is nothjng additional available as a complimentary services. Neither any food items, nor any guide is available. You just pay to enter the palace. It is just like a palace with a garden where you can spend some peaceful time. There are notes and written documents from where you can get to know about the place. The place is beautiful but entry ticket still seems to be on higher side.
Further, there are rooms available in the palace for stay purposes.

130 years old palace but seems like recently build, such a nice atmosphere inside the palace, love the old vintage furniture, cafeteria also available inside the palace, can also book rooms inside it. The thing that i love the most is the bar. Out side it there's one kiosk where u can have snacks in the chilling whether. You have to pay ₹200 per person to enter into the palace. You have to come outside the palace if you want to talk to someone over the phone because of low network. Room prices are very high starting from ₹3500 to ₹25300

Misguided Tourist Location
1. Its a hotel which is maintained by Himachal Govt.
2. Its not a sight seeing place. They charge Rs. 200 per person to enter this building and its pathetic building.
Only lobby area is available and allowed to be seen by visitors and rest of the property is just rooms.
The lunch restaurant will remind you of railway station canteen or parliament canteen.
Do not waste your money on sight seeing of this place.
Its just a government hotel and there is nothing else there.

Entry cost per person is 200/-. At this price they should be providing a guided tour or they should provide a 200/- coupon that people could redeem in cafe for tea/snacks.
There would be no one to greet you or guide you around. Its like visiting any other public place, nothing special. Didn't get any palace like feel. It felt like a normal guest house with a garden.
Honestly, the palace is not worth visiting. Poorly maintained. There is only one cafe in the garden and it serves machine made tea!
If entry was free then you could think about visiting but trust me there is nothing to see here. Don't know why they are charging 200/- for entry only. Absolutely not worth it.

You can reach here by taxi or by govt/pvt buses which ply from Solan. Or you can reach here by bus and then book taxi to show you around. We got taxi for 700Rs which showed us Kali Tibba, Stone Temple, worlds highest cricket ground etc.
The route to Kali Tibba Temple is gorgeous in itself, flanked by tall pine trees and partly reminds of Hatu Peak in Narkanda.

The Renuka Lake popularly/ religiously referred to as the Renuka ji is located not very far from Nahan and Paunta sahab. We were disappointed to find the two different approaches to the Lake to and fro were NOT at all maintained and the "road" conditions were pathetic.
The boats were easily available which needed to be self operated. How I wish operators were also available and the surrounding roads could be manned by lake security to avoid any mishap.
Stay arrangements are also there. I am sure if there is a strong will the place could be further developed for more tourist attraction which at present seems to be driven more by the religious sentiments.

Awesome Nature with spritual vibes. There is small zoo also. Mata's temple is awesome. Himachal govt hotel. is also there. Awesome food we had there. Superb experience. Avoid weekend for crowd.

Renuka mata and parshu Ram temple. Not crowded. Lake is in 3 km radius, with lots of fish and tortoise.people feed fish with rusks etc.separate space for male and female for bathing in lake. It 42 km from Poanta sahib. Highway work is under process from Poanta sahib to satton, after that single road starts. Avoid visiting in monsoon . Condition of road get worse due to rain.

Solace, comfort and serenity!
Himachal hold a lot of stories and mythologies just like other hills. Renuka ji is one such place to learn about and cherish.
Manage your expectations with the boating sport as it's closed due to covid and less footfall, also plan itineraries beforehand.
Government has done a perfect job to maintain the historical place by a circuit of wildlife zoo for entertainment.
A must visit

Peaceful place for one day outing with family, take your lunch with and get full enjoy. Lake is full of different types of fish. You can also see big size turtle in the lake if you are lucky.

The most beautiful place and temple of Mata Renuka Ji. Surrounded with green forest and a beautiful lake. Looks like an untouched area with zero pollution though it is quite a famous shrine.

A very famous religious place of sirmour....the temple place is well surrounded by the renuka lake which is a long walk along with a small wildlife sanctuary there..... although reaching there is some hassle for a person with motion sickness like me but was worth it ....a very decent place to visit with family and is not that crowded too for u to grab some quick moments of peace for yourself away from the regular city life.

Lovely place. Holy lake. People worship this lake, so plz avoid boating, if want o go for boating go barefoot. Must visit place situated in sirmaur distt himachal pradesh india. On the rim bank of this lake a track is developed, u must have a walk on this or have a cycling round there. Cycles are available there on rent. Mini zoo is also a attraction for animal lovers. This zoo need maintenance. Must visit for 1 day atleast.

Beautiful place and Hindu Holy Temple of God Parshuram temple and Renuka ji. You can enjoy lake view and Zoo.

No maintenance of the lake as well as animals in the zoo.. only a few animals are left there deer, 3 leopards, & only 1 black bear....no one was there to look after them.. they looked very hungry and thirsty... The water kept for them was extremely dirty... I heartily request management to please look after them...it's a very humble request 🙏 save Renuka jeel & mini zoo.....

Wonderful place for a weekend visit. The walk around the lake is simply a refreshing experience. The sound of birds chirping, the noise of monkeys (sometimes frightening too!), The beautiful 🐟 fish in the water (you can see them playing next to the bank/shallow water). Walk is around 4kms and i think i heard someone saying that this is largest lake in Himachal that is not watered by any stream.

Visited this Holy place to pay the prayers 🙏 for well being of all. Ample parking space. We had Langar parshad in early morning. The place is heavenly calm and peaceful. Everyone should definitely visit this place once in a life.

A beautiful gurudwara located next to river Yamuna. the gurudwara has a lot of historical significance for the Sikh community. there is an very interesting story that roaring Yamuna does makes any noise when it passes by the gurudwara, as it was intoned to pass smoothly by Guru Gobind Singh ji .

Jai Shri Govind Singh Maharaj Ji 🙏🙏 Satguru nanak pargathya... Beautiful scenic and peace spot for your family and kids. Peaceful and Mesmerizing darbar. I would recommend to visit when on routing to haridwar Or rishikesh on returning way to Chandigarh 🌸🌸

I recently had the privilege of visiting the Gurudwara, and I must say it was a truly remarkable experience.
The Gurudwara's architecture exuded grace and grandeur, showcasing the rich Sikh heritage. The pristine white walls, adorned with intricate designs, created a tranquil atmosphere conducive to introspection and prayer.
The langar was an embodiment of selfless service and unity. The delicious vegetarian food was prepared with utmost love and devotion and the volunteers humility and dedication were inspiring.
The prayer hall was a sanctuary of solace. The melodious recitation of the Guru Granth Sahib, accompanied by soul-stirring hymns, transported me to a realm of spiritual bliss. The ambiance was filled with devotion and reverence, creating an atmosphere conducive to deep contemplation.
I highly recommend a visit to this Gurudwara to anyone seeking solace, spiritual enlightenment, and a glimpse into the Sikh way of life.

A must visit place, Dasam pita, Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji stayed here. Renovated hall of the Gurudwara is mesmerizing and all credits to horticulture incharge for beautiful greens. Yatri Nivas is very comfortable. Situated on banks of River Yamuna, scenic views are exceptional
K P Singh — Google review
This place is one of the key attractions of the city, and must say they have a strong internal control system and one can even stay there for the whole day without getting bored listening to 'शबद' .
You must have Langar prashad there specially Curry chawal and yes Yamuna view from the back side of Gurudwara is not something you'd want to miss.
One lesser star is for that area which is crowdy and without any maintainance outside of the gurudwara.
Some places are not just peaceful they are spiritually beautiful too and this place is one of them. LOTS OF LOVE for the Community..... ❣️

Got the opportunity to visit this holy place along with my family on a pretty cold Sunday in January 2023. It's located very near to the border of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. It is said Guru Gobind Singh Ji stayed here for more than 4.5 years and wrote many religious books. This place exhibits a few weapons and pens used by Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Just like any other Gurudwara this one is immaculate and peaceful. Situated on the banks of Yamuna River, it offers a serene view of the riverbed and mountains. Must visit the ghat and the Hanuman Mandir located below.

Gurudwara Paonta Sahib is a revered shrine of the Sikh religion. This sacred shrine not only renders a spiritual comfort, but also offers us an insight into how Sikhism has sustained. The place got its name either from the fact that Guru Gobind Singh set his foot here or because he lost an ornament here that he used to wear on his foot.
As per stories, the Gurudwara was once visited by Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth guru of the Sikhs. The Sikh Guru came to Sirmour on the invitation of the Raja Medini Prakash and was so impressed with the courtesy of the king that he decided to spend the next four years at Poanta and left a written account of his life in the kingdom, which he described as the happiest years of his life.
It is said that, once Raja Medini Prakash and Guru ji were exploring the place. On their excursion, Guruji was so much impressed that he decided to construct a camp on the bank of the river. Guruji laid the foundation of this holy city with his own scarred hands and named it Paon-tikka, which is known as Paonta Sahib today. As a token of respect and gratitude, Raja Medini Prakash decided to build a Gurudwara on the bank of Yamuna River. Before leaving the Gurudwara, Guruji fought many battles against some of the neighbouring hamlets.

Beautiful place. Very well managed and organised. Can be crowded during some days. Mostly crowded during the weekends. Beautiful river view at the rear. We had awesome langar. Car parking is also available which is free of cost. There are shop’s available outside as well for souvenirs. If coming from Uttarakhand side, then state entry tax needs to be paid at the barrier. Wahe guru ji ! 🙏🏻

Paonta Sahib is a significant religious and historical town located in the Sirmaur district of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It holds great religious importance for Sikhs as it is associated with Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Sikh Guru. Guru Gobind Singh Ji spent several years in Paonta Sahib and composed many Sikh religious texts, including parts of the Guru Granth Sahib, during his stay there.
Some key attractions in Paonta Sahib include the Gurudwara Paonta Sahib, which is a major pilgrimage site for Sikhs, and the Yamuna Temple, located on the banks of the Yamuna River. The town is known for its serene and picturesque surroundings, making it a popular destination for both religious and nature enthusiasts.

198/19 ward number 11, Devinagar, Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh 173025, India
Hilly walking trails lead to this remote, towering cascade framed by vegetation-covered rocks.
Most amazing getaway so far! This place is soo isolated and beautiful with a powerful nature presence and you feel every smell and every insect. I went with my family at August end and it was raining the magnitude of the tiger fall was 10 times the normal. It was so so good. Fortunately our camp was 100 metres away which was also helpful. We found the waterfall nearly empty and we clicked a lot of photos. After 12 pm people start to come a lot and it's hard to find space there. Week days are good to visit as weekends are unpredictably crowded. You have to pay 30 rs as an entry ticket. The stone paved way could be slippery in the fall area so be careful. You can bring your pets there. There is a small 1 km trek to the high view point where you can see details about tiger fall.
I suggest you bring your own car until the lowest point on a stone paved road.

Tiger falls is a hidden gem in Uttarakhand. You have to trek for about 1 km downhill to reach the actual falls by foot or take a precipitous route by car after you reach the destination. Please do not take the car unless you have a good local driver because the road is pretty bad. There is a railing and moderately well maintained stairs throughout that you can use to go down by foot. Returning can be a tiresome if you are not used to physical exertion. There are no shops or water points while going down. But there are small shops at the start. The falls is a nice sight to watch. There are some changing rooms and toilet near it but they are not maintained well. The place is not crowded because people have not yet discovered it. It is a matter of time till this place becomes crowded and dirty!!

Tiger Waterfall in Uttarakhand is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered by adventure seekers. After a scenic trek of over a kilometer, visitors are rewarded with the sight of this majestic waterfall cascading from a height of 50 meters. The journey to reach the waterfall adds to the excitement, with lush greenery and refreshing streams along the way. Once there, tourists can't help but marvel at the sheer beauty and power of the waterfall, making it a memorable experience for all who visit. If you're in Uttarakhand and craving a dose of nature's splendor, Tiger Waterfall is a must-see destination.

Lovely natural waterfall near Chakrata.
Absolutely stunning with water cascading down vertically, causing a huge water spray near the fall. Be prepared to get drenched in the spray.
Visit the falls in the morning, as the sun in then in the falls, good for photography.
Sanjoy Bhattacharya — Google review
It's a serene place, with an amazing location of the fall..the road till the fall is not good at all..
However you can still drive (prefer a car with good height clearance)..
The waterfall is totally worth it, especially when the water is in its full might !!
There are small shops close by, where you can get tea, Maggie etc...!!
Must go with the kids, no issue at all 😊
Abhinav Aswal — Google review
Small, but still worth it when i visited in summer.
Special note: there are two parking. One on top from where proper steps are going down to reach the falls. Another down near the falls and steps can be avoided. So when you step down from top parking it almost reaches the down parking. But on the way the journey is really good.
Recommendation: with elders, small kids - go directly to down parking.
It's a very tall fall so it makes the sound and that's how it's name originated, it sounds like the roar of a tiger when water falls from such a height.

Nice place but crowded, go on off time, fall is Big Enough, better to go with Trek, High Risk if you drive a 2*2 Car till the end, Entry ticket is there and car parking is 50Rs. Good For family Traveller, Avoid Bathing.

Had an amazing time at the Tiger Falls( Largest Direct Falling Waterfall in India ). The roar of the falls is truly the exciting part as it falls from over hundreds of feet high. If you’re Lucky you would see Rainbows forming nearby adding to the beauty of the place.
Make Sure to go in an off season or when it’s less crowded as it spoils the Fun and experience to Relax peacefully. Sit on the rocks nearby and experience the beauty of nature🦋

More than 1km downhill walk, uphill is bit stressful.
Takes around 1 hr 30mins. But fantastic experience.
Option of going by car, kachha road but not worth if you wanna enjoy visits and make them memorable. Walk through village on slopes and stairs. Once you see the fall drop from approx 50m, you are spellbound watching the highest direct waterfall in India

Tiger Waterfall, a majestic spectacle in Chakrata's embrace,
Where nature's power cascades with elegance and grace.
Roaring and plunging from heights above,
It embodies the untamed spirit of the wild, pure and tough.
Amidst the verdant forest, its beauty stands tall,
A breathtaking sight that captivates all.
The mighty Tiger Waterfall, a sight to behold,
As its waters gush down, stories of nature unfold.

The waterfall is nice and not very crowded,
The water is very cold and clean.
There are two ways to reach the water either you can take your vehicle but that path is extremely narrow only one car can pass at a time and also at a very steep angle or you also do a hike. It is almost a 1km hike.
Other than that the waterfall is beautiful.
rahul panwar — Google review
Changing rooms and other facilities were not so clean, we had to change outside. The fall is pretty but the crowd is too much. It's very refreshing to take a dip in the water though. The Trek to the waterfall is very pretty and not that long. I would suggest take the walking route down and take the bolero taxi while going up.

The most beautiful, untouched waterfall.
less populated tourist place indeed. There’s trek route as well as directly reach near the tiger fall by vehicle.
Hardly 1km of trek starts from the view point.
And 5km trek starts from Chakrata.
you need to buy ticket of rs 30.
There are many home stay near the water fall.
Very peaceful place to visit with friends and family .
best time to visit- summer
Nearest city- Dehradun
Last petrol pump located in this area.
You’ll definitely love this waterfall.

The experience was nothing short of magical. Upon reaching the entrance, I was greeted by a scenic trek through dense forest, which set the tone for the breathtaking adventure that awaited. The well marked trail made the journey enjoyable for both seasoned trekkers and beginners like myself. I suggest take the walking route. The waterfall is very beautiful but the crowd is too much. We visited this place in June 2023. Overall a must visit destination for nature enthusiasts.

Fall is really beautiful and height is around 30-40 feet. Nearly 90km from Dehradoon. Roads were good and crowd was decent. You can either go with diwn hiking or can go in your car. Limited parking facility with first come first serve. Food options were there too like Maggie, omelette, sandwich etc. You can take bath in the fall.

Tiger Fall is a hidden gem in the hills of Chakrata, Uttarakhand. It is one of the highest waterfalls in India, with a height of 50 meters. The waterfall is surrounded by lush greenery and rocky terrain, creating a stunning contrast of colors and textures.
The sound of the water crashing on the rocks is soothing and exhilarating at the same time. To reach the waterfall, one has to trek for about 2 km through the forest, which is an enjoyable and adventurous experience. The trek offers scenic views of the mountains, the valley, and the flora and fauna.
The waterfall is a perfect spot for a picnic, a bath, or a photo session. The water is cold and refreshing, and the mist and the rainbow add to the beauty of the place. Tiger Fall is a must-visit for nature lovers, trekkers, and photographers. It is a place where one can relax, explore, and have fun in the lap of nature. Tiger Fall is a memorable and rewarding destination for anyone who visits Chakrata.
