The top stops along the way from Coron to El Nido (with short detours) are Small Lagoon, Kayangan Lake, and Nacpan Beach. Other popular stops include Big Lagoon, Malcapuya Island, and Maquinit Hot Spring.
A tourist gem in the form of a saltwater hot spring located 30 minutes away from Coron town that is popular for after-hiking or diving excursions. The springs are open until 10pm and have an entrance fee of 200 PHP. A roundtrip tricycle ride from the town should cost around 300 PHP.
Great place to soak tired muscles...they have a picnic ground and clean shower rooms/bathrooms. I love the area where there were mangroves and pathways leading to the sea. The water is definitely hot and salty but a must experience when in Coron.

Very great place to chill. It’s like having my favourite hot bath. The water is really hot, it may seem uncomfortable at first time, but in a minute you begin to relax
We came here at 1pm, and there was only 3 or 4 persons.
Very beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. One of the best places in Coron

A must-visit spot when visiting Coron. It’s advised to take a shower first before the hot dip. After about 10 minutes of dip, it’s also encouraged to get off the water for about 2-3 minutes.
From the town proper, you’d have to take a 30-minute ride. Some parts are bumpy. There are also no lamp posts to guide drivers at night.
Towels are not provided.
Entrance fee: P300

A very beautiful place, with a beautiful view of the islands. They have koisk (store) you can buy souvenirs, chips, and drinks.
Smoking is strictly prohibited in the area.
The staff are really approachable and kind. It is mostly populated from 5pm to 7pm.
The atmosphere is very serene but warm.

Super relaxing after a long day of flying out of Manila. We arrived around 4pm to our Hotel and went straight in here.
The road going here is muddy; some rent a tricycle to go here but we opted to join a tour. The tour has snacks and a bottle of water.
The place was beautiful. The water was so hot at first but your body would adjust later on. When we went out at 7pm, there was a group entering the place so I guess they allow evening tours.

The water is really relaxing. Rented a trike for 700 to go to this place. We wanted to walk, but the road was really bumpy and muddy. It's more of a trail than the usual road. Perfect to go at around 5 pm when it is colder. There are changing rooms and showers available. Food is not allowed, but there is a store inside. The hotspring is only open til 7 pm.

Fantastic and relaxing! You should be here at 8:00 when they open. Then you will have the whole bath for yourself for at least 1.5hrs. In the morning there are some shaded areas and the air is Not so hot. Water temp was 37,9 when I measured it with my Pixel 8pro. Plan at least 2hrs for soaks and resting. They sell Beer, soft Drinks and Snacks at very low prices (Soda 30P). You can use the benches and tables for free or rent one of the open huts (small 200P, large 300P) taking a tricycle will cost you 600P - so it's worth to do it as one of the points when you rent a Scooter (Scooter price is only 600P/24hrs).

Nice place. The water in the pool are really hot and good for the feet after climbing Mt. Tapyas. The place is a bit crowded thoug even on weekdays.

Nice and relaxing on an overcast day. Would probably be too hot in the middle of a sunny day. 1 large pool and 3 smaller ones, can stand in all of them. Temperatures about 38-41 degrees C. We went about 10am on a Sunday and it was nice and quiet but apparently in the evenings and sunset it gets busy.
Return tricycle about 400-500pesos, 250pesos each to enter. There's a small shop for drinks and snacks.
Rachel Vlastuin — Google review
We went there during the early afternoon. The place is not so crowded and we basically had the whole place to ourselves.
The staff were friendly nice and willing to assist and chat.
The hot spring is unique as it is salty hot, the park says anywhere from 38 to 41 depending on time of day.
There is a mini store there to buy refreshments. The are cottages there for groups that want to bring food and stay longer.
The place can be accessed via tours, or rental vehicles. We decided to rent a car and do our own chilled city tour.

Very nice place, well maintained and in perfect condition. We went there in the morning, when no other visitors were there, we had the place to ourselves. The staff proactively gave advises, without asking, perfect. If you have plenty of time, this place is worth to stay the whole day. The road is a bit bumpy, it is not paved.

It’s OK. Nice hot water to dip into and relax. Overall, it’s a decent pass time if you feel you want to explore other things (non-boat tour related) in Coron. The drive there in a tuktuk is very bumpy. They have toilets and changing facilities on site, but no showers. There is also a small shop to buy snacks / drinks.

The journey to get there from Coron by tricycle takes about 25 minutes on a pretty rough road the last half of the way. This is a nice place to go for relaxation. It's a natural hot spring, and the water is definitely warm, bordering on hot when you first touch it. It probably feels best in the early morning or evening when it's cooler out, but we went late morning and it still felt nice. The crowds can get fairly large during peak times, so go in a non-peak time or plan ahead. There is a raised bamboo walkway that takes you out to the ocean for a pretty view of the water and islands.
Aaron Roberts — Google review
You can bring your own foods, snacks. May do DIY. Or rent a tricycle worth p5oo or rent a motorbike for p5oo/6hrs.

We weren’t too keen on coming here because we thought it was super touristic but it ended up being a very fun and relaxing experience! We really enjoyed the view and the calm ambiance here - we were the only one there and it was midday! I would recommend if you stay in Coron and visit the town.

We went by tricycle to the hot spring at 17:00. Terrible road. The place quite crowded. The warm water is nice. Salt water. There is no possibility to take a shower. 5 rooms to change clothes. 2 toilets for female and 2 for men. 300 Peso entrance fee.

The grounds looked really well maintained. Cost us p500 return to get to the Hot Spring from Coron Town area. Went there during the day and there’s no crowds. Overall a good experience with nice changing rooms and toilets.

Great place to relax at night! The place is big so even if a lot of people were there it was still a really enjoyable experience.
It costs 300k per adult and close at 8pm but they have a cut off at 7pm, so make sure to arrive before this time!
The road to go there is really bumpy. I would recommend to drive a scooter to go there only if you are comfortable driving a scooter.
Cédric Jutras — Google review
The place was so nice, love to merge my body in the water it’s so relaxing..
300 entrance fee is way too expensive , it’s only hot spring in there no other activities… it’s good if you’ll visit the place around 3 pm to 6pm..

One of the most magical places I've ever been 😍🥰. I went at night and there was beautiful lighting which made it even more relaxing. There was a lot of people here but the atmosphere was nice and calm ☺️. The water is hot and soothing ☺️. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Coron 🙌🙏
Siobhán Murray — Google review
Important: the ticket is valid all day long, so you can enter multiple times during the same day showing the ticket at the front desk. There are 4 pools, the hotter are the small ones on top and there's a small one besides the big one which is less hot. Water is supposed to be between 38 and 41 degrees. Be careful because after a while being inside the hotsprings you can feel lightheaded. Stay hydrated and alternate being in and out. And have some fresh or mist shower also.
We went there with a motorbike, first around 9am, then around 12.30pm after snorkeling at "7 Pecados" islands renting a small boat and guide (300php per person for 2h) which I strongly recommend as it's also really close to. The first time was still sunny and we were like 4-5 people only. There were some areas of the big pool which were shadowy. The second time there were more people but not too much, it was cloudy and a little bit rainy.
If you go by motorbike you must know that the last 10min the road is dirty and rocky but it's doable with a motorbike, just don't rush it. You will see cashew nut trees along the way, some of the with cashew nut+fruit both in the trees and on the floor. The yellow fruity part is edible, the red is sour but the water coming from it taste actually good. Open one and check the smell at least as it's a good and funny one. Enjoy!

This was our last stop on our Coron Island Tour and it was definitely worth it! The place was clean and well-maintained (I didn't change afterwards so I'm not sure how the dressing rooms were). We went closer to sunset so it didn't feel too hot, plus, there is an outdoor "shower" for you to rinse off after/cool down if needed. You could also see a small view of the ocean next to the springs. It got pretty busy towards the end of our stay, but it was still very relaxing and enjoyable!

Despite of a quite small distance to the city of Coron, the time spent here was a very pleasant one. Incredible comfortable place, the difference between water temperature it was a really unique experience for me. It is very different Hot Spring because of its special surroundings and the unique environment. I was amazed by the genuine and authentic colours of the stones became like that during a long time. Never thought about so natural and incredible natural colours and textures transformed by the chemistry of mother nature of the Philippines, here in Coron. A place to come back !

We left our hotel around 4:30pm. It took around 30 minutes by tricycle from.
Transportation: It took around 30 minutes by tricycle from our hotel (Zuri Resort). Our driver was waiting for us for 1.5 hours. It cost PHP700 return.
Journey: Very rough. Bumpy road halfway through the local residential area and the rest is very dusty rocky bumpy, cracky road. It was the most scary and terrifying experience. I will recommend to wear a mask during the journey.
Entrance: PHP300 per person as of March 2024. If you have a bag, it will be checked by a security. Open at 8:00am, Cut off @ 7:00pm and Close @ 8:00pm.
Hot springs: Quite hot but it feels very relaxing. You may find it too hot if you come during the day, however, you can cool down yourself under mist sprays.
Facilities: There are changing rooms and toilets. They are very clean. Small kiosk to buy some drinks and snacks for reasonable prices (we ordered two cans of Coca Cola for PHP110.)
What to bring with you: A swimming costume, a bath towel and flip flops
After 5:30pm, more people turned up and it became busier. A lot people come to see the sunset, however, you actually cannot see the sunset but you can enjoy watching the colour of changing of the neighbouring islands.
Highly recommend
Siete Pecados is a protected coral sanctuary with diverse marine life. The marine park can be accessed via different Coron boat tours and includes a visit to the marine park on many itineraries among other sites. Coron is known for its underwater wildlife, with schools of fish and vibrant corals visible from the boats.
Easy and nice snorkeling experience. Pick a trike guy. Ask him to arrange. He will bring you to the closest “port” where you can take boat or kayak. People will provide vest and masks and snorkels… and you go enjoy some small islands with lost of corals and fish.
Stefan Yordanov — Google review
This is a real hidden gem! If you drive to the Siete Pecados Tourist Office you can book a tour for PHP 300 per person. This includes a captain/tour guide who will take you on a small boat (which only holds 2 persons) to the reef for 2 hours, life vests are included and snorkelling gear can be rented for an extra fee. There is no need for reservations, you can just show up and there is usually no waiting time. The trip to the reef takes about 5 minutes. Then the reef, it must be one of the most beautiful reefs you will ever see! It’s very rich in corals and there are many fish to see, if you have keen eyes you might even spot the clownfish. It is only about 1.5/2m deep so you can see everything in the crevices between the corals. Truly an unforgettable experience and a must see in Coron!
Sam H — Google review
One of the best place to do snorkeling in Coron! No need to book for an expensive tour. Just go to the village in front of the Siete Pecados (on the road leading to the hot spring). It will cost you 400 Pesos to rent a kayak for the day. 100 PHP for goggles. And 100 PHP per person for the islands fees, collected directly on the islands by a boat.
Florian Poullin — Google review
In Nov 2023 we booked a tricycle for 600 php at our housing (MyGuide’s Traveller Inn). Driver picked us up at 8, left and then came at 15 to the village. In the village at the “port” there is a little house where u pay 100 php pax environmental fee and 200 php pax for a boat+driver/kayak for 2 hours. We stayed 4 hours with a boat which was amazing and just enough and paid 50/hour additional for the boat. There is a little street food window. Overall it was 650 pax for the whole trip. Gregory and his son were our boat drivers.
Reefs are the most colorful we have seen but they are dying as well. Maybe 20% was alive. We have seen turtle and lots of Nemos:)

A must do if you're in Coron city !
You can go there with a tricycle or by your own means (we had a scooter).
You can rent a boat with the captain for 300 pesos per people.
Then he will take you snorkeling around the small island and it s really beautiful.
We even saw a turtle there.
Don't miss it !
Quentin Beaurepere — Google review
Very well maintained!! There are a lot of fishes and corals even near the shore.
Their efforts of preserving the area is commendable, the park rangers picked trash along the way while we were snorkling and they are very kind and accomodating too.
There were tall grasses near the shore and I asked the boatmen if there are seahorses in there they said that way back there are a lot but they rarely see one now because there are a lot of people taking them out of the water to sell, they say they don't have the heart to stop them though because they said it's their only means of income.

This site is part of many island hopping tours and you will probably visit it while taking one of the tours.
There is not a lot of places to visit and see in Coron other than the island hopping tours and very little land tours options. People will always suggest climbing up Mount Tapyas or a visit to Maquinit hot springs. some people will even suggest a visit to Cabo or Bali beach.
I found out that you can take a private boat from the maquinit village that situated just infront of the Siete Pecados islands to the islands for around 1200 php and visit this site privately with no time limit and snorkel around the islands and swim between all of them (most tricycle drivers knows how to contact a boat owner that can take you).
The site itself is an amazing snorkeling site the rich coral diversity and Marin life here is unusual and unique and visiting it with no rush was really a good experience for me.
Very recommended!!

The place is amazing 😍
The reef is so healthy and pure we really enjoyed from the snorkeling !
There is not a lot of tourists there and the coral are very healthy.
Not like the island hopping to coron that you can see that the boats and the tourists damage the reef
Be careful when you swim there and keep the reef safe !
The place need to stay in this beautiful shape

We had just completed the A, B & C snorkelling tours in El Nido (with OutPost Hostel), so we didn’t want to do another snorkelling day.
This location is perfect and affordable. Ask a tricycle driver to take you from town to Siete Pecados. It should cost $600-700 for a round trip. They will take you to the little town by the water where you can ask for either a kayak or boat for 2 hours. We chose a small boat, our driver and a tour guide came with us and took us to 3 snorkel sites in Siete Pecados. The boat ride out is 10 mins each way. The coral gardens here are incredible! So healthy and colourful, especially on a sunny day, as the reef is quite shallow. The tour cost us $600. If you are in a park this is a very affordable excursion. One of the highlights of Coron and easy to without reserving earlier.
Tabitha Diaz — Google review
one of the best places for snorkeling in clear waters at off coron. The corals are very colorful, so is the fish. The corals are relatively less damaged and bright and the crowd is comparatively low. Clear water and white sands and colorful corals give a feel as if you are in aquarium alongwith the fish.

This place is incredible for snorkeling!! Only 300 php for 2h on either a boat or a kayak. Very nice corals and lots of different species of fish and others marine life! Definitly one of my highlights of all Busuanga Island and a must do!

It is definitely the best place to enjoy snorkeling in Coron. There are few people and incredibly beautiful under sea views.
I recommend especially to do by your own arrangement. You can use your own time more efficiently.
I also recommend visiting Maqunit Hot Spring to get together here.
Jaewon Lee — Google review
Renting a Kayak to go to these islands and diving with snorkel in they coral garden was the best thing that we did in our three days stay in Coron. My suggestion, go to the the shore near the islands around 2pm, rent a Kayak or a boat (it costs 300P per person), dive to see the corals, return around 4:30 pm and then go the Mount Tapyas to see the landscape of Coron and the sunset. Thank me later...

Backpacker on a budget here - Only 300 pp and one of the best snorkelling ever.
Totally worth it! From Coron P.T. take a motorcycle or trike down (east) towards Siete Pecados and turn right onto another little dirt road that goes down into a little town/settlement. Take a slight right and head for the basketball court.
We parked our motorcycle and went to the tourist info center. There you pay 200 pp for either a kayak or a boat and 100 pp for the environmental fee. Our friends rented snorkels for 100. They gave us a discount for 4 people which was very nice. Honestly I would recommend getting the boat, since it comes with a captain/guide who takes you to a cave/”lagoon” and 4 really cool snorkelling spots. One of them is a colourful big clam garden! Other than that our highlights were a turtle, barracuda, bat fish and lots of light blue hard coral. Super colourful and healthy.
(Maybe ask to see barracuda point, since I only found out about it later and we didn’t go there.)
Have fun 😍

The best place for snorkeling ever! Tons of fish, sealife. Amazing!! Get there by tricycle for around 300-400, boat renting with guide 300 per person. I recommend Mark and his grandad - they take good care.
Łukasz Dzieduszycki — Google review
Great little trip. 2 hours in a private boat, going to different snorkel spots. The office is on Coron mainland and it’s a 3 min boat ride to your first stop. You don’t really travel far, as the little islands offer beautiful clear waters with some very shallow parts. Careful not to tread on the corals. Getting in and out of the boat can be tough. Bring water and a sun hat in case you’re like me and watch your husband doing most of the swimming 😂 For 300p each it’s super affordable.
Deborah Justine — Google review
Best snorkeling spot on Coron. A must visit! The corals are beautiful and there are a lot of fish, also bigger ones. Some of the boat guides told us that there would usually be large waves but that was not true. The water was very calm and quite shallow. I guess since it’s a bit further away from the other spots of Coron Island they didn’t want to spend the extra fuel.
Q B — Google review
Make this your first stop on the island hopping tour to truly enjoy the beauty without the crowds. We have snorkeled in Hawaii, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean Sea, and Malaga, but this place has, by far, the most beautiful coral reefs concentrated in one area. Be sure to bring your water shoes and exercise caution in some areas which could be shallow. Plan to spend at least an hour exploring!

Mount Tapyas is a 689-foot peak in Coron, Philippines that offers stunning views of the town and harbor below. The locals are proud of this mountain, as it is one of the most beautiful peaks in the area. The steps to get to the peak are steep, and there is a track around the top for more lovely views.
The 700 steps are totally worth it!! Come here at 5:30pm and walk up the stairs, you’ll be at the top right in time for the sunset. Bring some drinks (enough water) and some snacks for watching the sunset:)
Kiki Miki — Google review
Totally worth the 720 steps to the top. Great views plus that “accomplished” feeling. I feel like the internet portrays this as some grand hike, but it probably only took 20 or so minutes (maybe not even that).
Josh Guenther — Google review
This is the most popular place to visit in Coron to watch the sunset. You start at the bottom of the Mt. Tapyas Stairs and climb 721 steps up the mountain which takes around 10-20 minutes. You can walk on slippers. It is recommended to bring a bottle of water. At the top you are treated to beautiful views of Coron and the surrounding islands. The sunset is wonderful to watch but after the sun goes down the really beautiful colours show up in the sky. The way down has lights so it is doable and only takes about 10 minutes.
Sam H — Google review
Had a good quick hike here. Not so much. They claim that it has 721 or so steps over all. Has a lot of stops for a quick rest on benches.
A stair based trail with a high peak view. I guess good time is around mornings and afternoons. Just make sure to bring extra clothes. Scenery picture provided.

Finally, we surmounted over 700 steps to the infamous but beautiful elevated landform of Coron - 𝐌𝐭. 𝐓𝐚𝐩𝐲𝐚𝐬, despite the gloomy and windy dusk, lack of exercise, and threat of slippery stairs. It's a blessing somehow, that we climbed without the heat of the sun and a crowd. We stayed past nightfall and enjoyed the evening view of Coron Bay and the lit-up little town.

The view was worth the >700 steps going up. There are also markers along the way to see how far you had climb

Place is romantic…but challenging to reach as expected. There are around 720 steps going to the peak. We went here after a tour (showered first) at around 6pm and the sun was already setting so we didn’t reach the peak during golden hour. The view was breathtaking still.
It is a popular spot for joggers and even at 7pm there were still some tourists going up. The path is a bit dark but there is a CORON illumination at the top.
We got engaged here. It was really memorable.

721 steps with plenty of benches to sit on along the way. Come a little earlier than the beginning of sunset as otherwise all the seats will be taken.

After climbing 720 stairs, the view and the wind are awesome.
They mark the numbers by every hundred, it’s a good way to encourage people.
It’s a pity that we’re not coming in the evening or a sunny day, we took lots of photos though.

The best view over Coron town.
This is quite a climb to the top, however, I believe it's quite doable. It's about 720 steps until the top. There are stairs in good condition, which makes everything very bearable.
On the top, you can enjoy a fantastic view over the town. On the front side you have the view over the town and on the back side over the green mountains. And the best thing is that this experience is fully free.
Don't forget to bring a bottle of water or to buy before you start. I haven't seen anyone selling water or snacks on the top.
André Martins — Google review
I was told that there is a place in town that we can hike, and I thought it would be through a trail. And voila it’s paved, which makes it easier to climb despite the unpredictable weather changes. I saw this hike offered in the Coron Town Tour, along with other sites for P700, so I thought it was paid admission, but turns out it’s free.
A friend and I started the hike in the afternoon to avoid the harsh sunlight but it was still humid. I remember a sorbetero selling ice cream by the stairs for some reason. 😅 On the first few steps, we saw a senior citizen quit and told us that he can’t do it. We cheered him on, but back to the starting point he went. So if you have mobility issues, this might not be the best activity for you.
We went up the hill and saw some Jehovah’s Witnesses at the benches. We took a break when we saw the view, then continued on to the top. There were many tourists up top despite it being a Tuesday, but it wasn’t so packed that you can’t take a proper solo picture. We saw the nimbus clouds fast approaching from the island across, and so we all stayed under this small shed and waited until the rain wasn’t heavy anymore. We soaked in the beautiful view under the Coron letters and started our descent by nightfall. I started feeling chilly up in there and we remember feeling the abrupt change in the temperature when we were halfway through the staircases.
This is a good free workout if you’re looking for activities that aren’t in the sea.

The 722 steps initially seemed daunting, and there were moments when turning back crossed my mind. However, with each step, the lush surroundings and anticipation of the view kept me going.
Reaching the summit, I was greeted by an awe-inspiring panoramic view that instantly made every step worthwhile. The sunset painted the sky with hues of orange and pink, casting a mesmerizing glow over Coron. It was a scene that made the entire journey feel like a triumph.
Enduring the hike, despite the fleeting thoughts of retreat, allowed me to witness nature's grandeur at its finest. Mt. Tapyas, with its challenging steps, became a metaphor for perseverance, and the view from the top transformed the trek into an unforgettable experience. If you're up for a bit of a climb, the sunset from Mt. Tapyas is an absolute must-see – a reward that makes every step an adventure worth taking.
Kayangan Lake is a beautiful mountain lake in the Philippines that has become famous for its clear waters and stunning views. The lake can be reached by climbing 100+ concrete steps, and is considered to be the cleanest lake in the Philippines and in Asia.
The place is an overall attraction that includes a bit of stair climbing. 2 main attractions are the side photobooth on the first half of the trail while the lake is on the end.
Lake itself is wonderful and is a must visit place. Good place to swim and snorkel. It was a bit crowded when we were there.
I'd say that I have appreciated the entrance of the attraction due to the beautiful scenery and make sure not to lag behind the schedule so you don't inconvenience other tour mates.
Also make sure to have a prepared pose on the side booth for photo and not to overstay on the lake just for others to enjoy as well.

One of my best lifetime experiences. One of the purest and clearest sea water from entire world. The lake has sweet water, unusually clear and warm, despite of its neighbourhood. The perspective from above is breathtaking. Worth all the effort to be there, a unique natural heritage spot.

Definitely nice view from the waypoint half the way. The lake itself is okay. Just a lake in the hills :D
Most of the beaches are more interesting and have nicer colors.
Only did snorkeling and it was little clouded day.

I recently had the privilege of visiting Kayangan Lake, and it's undeniably one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. The pristine waters are so clear; it feels like you're swimming in a natural aquarium.
Now, a word of advice - the journey to get there involves a bit of a workout with some steep stairs. It might not be suitable for those with disabilities or the elderly. However, I can assure you, the breathtaking view and serene waters make every step worth it!

We visited Kanyagan Lake with a boattour. You start at the other side of the mountain with a dock, there are lots of other tourist boats here and a few shops where you can buy snacks and even freshly cut coconuts. There’s also a toilet available. After climbing the steps up the mountain you go down towards the lake, this only takes about 7 minutes. Here, you can jump from the dock into the cleanest lake in The Philippines. The native people that inhabit Coron Island even believe it is sacred. When swimming it is mandatory to wear a life vest, if you bring your snorkelling gear you can see the impressive rock formations in the water. The tour usually stays in the more shallow area of 8-10 metres. Certainly a must-visit when in Coron!

Wonderful! Its a bit of a walk until you get to the lake but it is worth it :) beauuuutiful. Very calmung surrounding. You can see until the ground through the crystal clear water.

Great view, clear water, lots of mosquitoes, not many fish, good for a swim. Very crowded if you're in a group. I would suggest a private tour goes there early

You need to climb to get to the viewdeck and to get to the lake. The beauty of nature is magnificent, the water there is warm and lot of tourists may come and go.

Just a lake, beaches are more interesting. If you accompany elderly people. I bet most of them cannot go upstairs. But the view below was amazing and relaxing. Great for sight seeing. There are few food shops also

The stunning scenery here is well worth the climb up a set of stairs. Following the staircase will lead you to a lake, underneath which lies a majestic natural landscape. Don't forget to capture it on video; replaying it later will still evoke a sense of awe. The warm lake water is not too salty, providing a serene spot to lie back, relax, and rejuvenate before you embark on your next adventure.

Nice view! Not recommended for the elderly tho since you need to climb up and down the stairs to see this. There's a long line just to capture this view on top however you can just opt to swim immediately.

One of my favourite places in Coron.
The view from the top is breathtaking. You can literally relax just by enjoying the view; however, you might have to wait in a queue to take a picture of this famous spot. And time is limited! Not the most comfortable scenario, but it is worth waiting.
The lake is large and seeing the mountains in the background is super enjoyable.
There are also a couple of stalls with fruits and souvenirs you can buy before leaving.
Be aware if you travel with elderly people or children, there's a couple of stairs you need to go through in order to reach the lake.

It’s the first stop of our ultimate tour.
We’re so lucky that at least one stop with a sunny sky.
Many people were waiting for taking photos at the peak view so we went to the lake first.
The color of the lake is stunning beautiful, even there’s no fish under the lake.
It started raining while we waited for taking pictures at the peak during 20-30 minutes.
Vita Dolce La — Google review
Before you get soaked, you’ll have to use those legs for a little climb. On top, a breathtaking view of the lake will surprise you. There’s usually a queue for tourists who want to take their photo with the lake as the background. For this reason, I highly advise going here early.

Barracuda Lake is a swimming spot with varying water temperatures that makes it popular with divers. The lake is home to a few marine life, but it's mainly known for its diving opportunities. Divers can experience thermocline, a layer of water between a warmer water above and cooler water below.
Barracuda Lake is located at the north shore of Coron Island in the Philippines. This location offers one of the most awesome diving experiences in the world. Occasionally referred to as Luluyuan Lake by locals, its crystal blue waters hidden between majestic rocky formations does not actually have barracudas and other wildlife. Instead, divers can experience a thermocline and halocline unlike anywhere else.
Starting out on the surface of the lake, divers, swimmers, and scuba enthusiasts can expect temperatures around 82 degrees Fahrenheit. But as you descend into the depths of the lake, around 45 to 50 feet down, the temperature drastically changes to just over 100 degrees Fahrenheit (to put that in perspective, most people keep their hot tubs at 104 degrees, so it’s best to forego a wetsuit here).
Adrielle Ortiz — Google review
This is a unique lake in Coron. Due to different salinities the temperature of the water changes quickly depending on the depth you are swimming. This makes the lake ideal for freediving. When at the surface you get an eerie feeling when looking at the limestone formations disappearing in the depths. Fortunately, the lake is only inhabited by barracuda who are not dangerous for humans (although they are not seen very often) and small bottom feeder fish. If you do a boat tour this lake is worth a visit!

Venus Fortuna — Google review
Gorgeous lake! It’s so warm. Great for free diving so make sure you rent some flippers!
Known for a huge barracuda in there but apparently friendly.
A few aggressive little fish that bite you!
Danielle Sheehan — Google review
It’s great when you come with your goggles or snorkel to see the rock formations under the water. Sometimes it can get crowded because many divers come to see the Barracuda fish. The water is warm and the scenery is relaxing.
Carl Lim — Google review
In Coron, Barracuda Lake is known for its diving site, where you can find bones of fish on the shoreline. Salt and freshwater, which is the optimum temperature to dive in, are accompanied by blue lakes and scenery. A normal island-hopping excursion in Coron also includes a visit to Barracuda Lake.
Before you reach the pier, you'll observe limestone cliffs towering above the ocean as you take a boat ride to the lake. It's amongst the most magical experiences you'll have on your Coron tour. Before jumping into the blue waves, take a lot of pictures and movies. Bring deeper scuba gear or go freediving to feel the lake's thermal gradient. The forms of the lake make for a lovely view.
How to get there
You may either join a group excursion (Coron Island Tour) or hire a private boat to Barracuda Lake from Coron Town Proper.
Best time to visit
Highly recommended to visit during summer months. Go early in the morning when the location is less congested. Because the lake's entry is narrow, it might be busy during peak hours.
Entrance fee
There is an entrance fee to Barracuda Lake
Ashutosh Singh — Google review
Baracuda Lake in Coron, Philippines—a surreal spot where layers of fresh and saltwater create a unique thermal stratification. The temperature changes as you dive, offering a fascinating underwater experience.
Freediving and Scuba diving is one of the best experience here.
Yuki Tomori — Google review
Really crowded place. You go up to shore and climb a little bit of stairs to the other side to the lake.
We even waited a couple hours and came back later because the bay was completely full of boats. When we were leaving, a lot of people had to walk/swim to shore still. As you can see in one video, a throng of people couldn’t swim so they were toted around in a train to get to/from their boat.
Kind of amusing, but also since they can’t swim… On the other side at barracuda lake, the area to get in the water is very tiny, and they crowded the platform to the point you couldn’t walk on the platform from the stairs to get to the area to jump in.
Barracuda lake itself: cool to see the limestone cliffs go down into the water for sure, but just realize there is no marine life or corals or anything. We dove down 14-15meters or so and couldn’t feel the temperature change on the day we were there, so if this is important to you, maybe plan a scuba dive or plan to bring your proper free dive mask as the squeeze gets to be a bit much on the eyes any deeper than 15m with the rental masks provided (in my opinion).

One of a kind -Best views and crystal clear water! Highly recommended. One of the best spot in Coron Palawan. The lake is few minutes hike from the boat and challenging paths like small wooden steps above big sharp rocks. It is not very safe for people have mobility and balance issue. If you are going island hoping bring cash with you because theres some snack stands in the island that sells everything from all kinds of beverages, alcohol, hot bananaque and fresh coconut drinks.

Coron, Palawan, Philippines
I'll never travel to El Nido without this trip planner again
A beautiful and mysterious lagoon in Coron, Palawan is a popular tourist attraction that can be accessed through either swimming or climbing. The lagoon contains two tiny lakes connected to the ocean by a series of limestone cliffs, which creates an unusual and beautiful sight. When the tide is low, the water can be seen flowing beneath an imposing limestone archway, providing an interesting and unique experience for visitors.
Make sure you know how to swim to enjoy the experience even though they had life vest. The place is great for Instagram photos, relaxing place to visit.just follow the advice of the bankeros and tour guide and you'll be fine whether you know you can swim or not.
Oppah — Google review
Better than watching it on TV!!! Best viewed with sunny day. You can swim (with/without life jacket) or kayak around the 2 lagoons, because it's a bit wide, it will be less tiring if you have swim fins. If you want best pictures, there should be a guy climbing up the rocks above to take pictures (like me lol :) )

It’s probably my first time to have fun in the water in a rainy day.
I was comforted that many travelers are same as us in such a bad weather.
Our boat was docked a bit far away from the entrance so we had to swim or raw a kayak into the lagoon.
However, it’s very difficult to get in and out the kayak without others help.
Thanks for all the strangers who helped that day.
Vita Dolce La — Google review
This is one of the most visited places in Coron by boat tour. You have the option to rent a kayak and paddle from one lagoon trough a small opening in the rocks to the second lagoon. With the kayak you can see more of the lagoons and even the Green Lagoon (or hidden lagoon) on the other side, otherwise swimming all these distances would be a bit too long and hard with all the shallow coral reefs. The Twin Lagoon is very beautiful with its contrast of blue water against these very high rocks. Definitely a place worth a visit!
Sam H — Google review
Kayaked around but really enjoyed just floating in the water. Water has a beautiful colour and sometimes you'd hit a cool patch which was a nice way to cool off even more.

Twin Lagoon is a must-see for any visitor to Coron, Philippines. It is a stunning natural wonder, with two crystal-clear lagoons separated by a narrow limestone cliff. The water is a beautiful turquoise colour, and the surrounding cliffs are lush with vegetation.
There are two ways to access the lagoons: by swimming or by climbing down the cliff. Swimming is the more popular option, but it can be challenging if the tide is high. Climbing down the cliff is more difficult, but it offers stunning views of the lagoons.
Once you reach the lagoons, you can swim, snorkel, or simply relax on the beach. There are also a few small caves that you can explore.
Twin Lagoon is a beautiful and unique place. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Coron.
Here are some tips for visiting Twin Lagoon:
Go early in the morning to avoid the crowds.
Bring a waterproof camera to capture the stunning scenery.
Be prepared for the heat and humidity.
Wear sunscreen and a hat.
Bring a pair of water shoes to protect your feet from the sharp rocks.
Be respectful of the environment and do not litter.
Dale Ullbricht — Google review
Best stop of the super ultimate tour in my opinion.
Definitely need to rent the kayak, I recommend the regular kayak. The “glass bottom” kayaks are just clear plastic scratched up canoes, without proper kayak footholds and back to actually paddle correctly. It’s ideal here to be able to easily paddle around to see both lagoons and the little areas away from the crowds.
Pretty water, nice corals. Very very little marine life, which seems to be the case at all of the stops. Water is very very warm, making it comfortable but also possibly the reason for the lack of marine life?
Saw a few people tipping their kayaks going under the rock to get to the second lagoon. Attached a video of us going through quite easily, just lay back and go through the center - propelling yourself with your hands on the rocks.
You can also hop out but I don’t think it’s necessary.
Nice water vendors here that paddle up the your boat and sell cold water, beer and snacks, pretty cool and really convenient.

Coron, Palawan is definitely one of the most beautiful places in the Philippines. If you are a nature-lover, thrill-seeker, or just a vacation enthusiast, this place is absolutely for you. Palawan is located at the south of Metro Manila, the Philippines' National Capital Region. You can get to Coron by plane, which is about a 45-minute to 1-hour flight. The cost of airfare and hotel varies each season but you can chance some promos for cheaper flight fee or hotel payment. Of course, if you choose the summer season, it will be expensive. Then again, it is worth all the effort and expense to see Palawan's pristine waters. The sea of Palawan is very calm and crystal clear. The rock and island formations are very unique and breathtaking. It is truly a little pocket of Paradise that hopefully could be preserved for generations to come. Our group of about 15 people went here for around five days. It was worth it and a memorable time indeed! Come see Coron, Palawan with friends and family!

This is one of my favorite place to go in Coron. It is best to go during low tide to access it via a small opening to get into the fresh water lake from the ocean. Oh, Twin Lagoon in Palawan, Philippines is truly a mesmerizing destination! The tranquil ambience combined with its exceptional turquoise water makes it a hidden gem. The lagoons are surrounded by limestone cliffs, giving it a surreal and picturesque beauty. The experience of swimming or kayaking through the narrow opening that leads to the lagoon is simply unforgettable.
The tranquility of Twin Lagoon provides a sense of peace and serenity. The clear turquoise water is so inviting that you can't resist taking a dip to refresh yourself. As you swim, you'll be amazed by the vibrant coral formations and diverse marine life that thrive in this stunning environment.
The towering limestone cliffs that enclose the lagoons create a natural barrier that isolates it from the bustling crowd. This seclusion adds to the exclusivity and tranquility of the place. It's like entering a hidden paradise, where time stands still and only the sounds of nature surround you.
For an even more memorable experience, I recommend renting a kayak to explore the lagoons. It's a unique perspective that allows you to fully appreciate the beauty and serenity of Twin Lagoon.

This is a beautiful place to see colorful reef fish and coral. You can also snorkel here to see turtles and other creatures. The water is clear and there's a big variety of fish to see.
Snorkeling haven that offers a vibrant underwater spectacle. This shallow reef area is teeming with a diverse array of coral formations and marine life, making it a perfect spot for beginners and seasoned snorkelers alike. The clear, warm waters provide excellent visibility, allowing visitors to easily spot colorful fish, sea stars, and perhaps even sea turtles. It is is accessible via boat tours, which often include stops at other nearby attractions. It's a less crowded alternative to more popular spots, ensuring a peaceful and immersive experience with nature. Remember to respect the underwater environment and avoid touching the corals to preserve the beauty of this marine sanctuary.

Decent snorkelling here. On a calm day I’m sure it’s better. Was quite wavy and windy when we went, and with the reef so exposed, it made it tough to enjoy. Good amount of bleaching, as it typical with such warm water and intense sun

Part of the Coron “Super Ultimate Tour,” and during the weekdays, it’s almost as if we had the place to ourselves. Only 2 boats carrying approximately 20 to 23 people each, there was plenty of space to snorkel. Our boat had a life preserver and non-swimmers can hold on to that with their life jackets and snorkeling masks on and you will see an amazing view under water. Plenty of corals and fishes that just take your breath away!
There is no beach or deck to dock on so it was from the boat to the water, and from the water to the boat here.

Atwayan beach was beautiful. White sand, crystal clear waters and small bamboo huts to sit and relax and eat in.
We bought food in the Coron town Market that morning and cooked it on our boat but you can buy a few snacks on the beach as well as fresh coconuts. The water is lovely to swim in with small fish but we just chilled on the beach, eating and talking.
We saw a cute puppy (I named him Frank) I'm not sure if he was a stray or not because he did have mange and ticks but i fed him some of our left over fish anyway!

It's a short hike to get there, with some rough spots. There was a stand selling water/snacks along the road.

drove a scooter from coron to this place and it took a good hour. it looked small from the pictures but it was decently big and the pool can get deep. we were the only two tourists there aside from a bunch of local teens. great place to visit!

4 of us did a 9 dive package with Simon. Simply put it was the best dive trip of our lives. Dive boats were comfortable and really cool, staff was super helpful, and we got picked up from our accommodations every day. I plan on coming back! Simon was extremely efficient with communication before and during our trip.
Landen Ehlers — Google review
Very flexible and professional dive center. We went for a whole day (3 dives) and did 2 wrecks and one (very new) reef. 3 divers plus dive master on the boat with balanced experience. Good boat crew - very helpful at any time. The owner, Simon, could schedule us with only 12h lead time. Equipment is in good condition. The place itself (Conception) is really calm and off from all touristic stuff. Highly recommended if you look for a quite place with really good dives.

The worst diving experience
Don’t trust the beautiful reviews Simon (the owner and diving instructor of Pirate Divers) has. Diving can be dangerous and you can even die or be seriously injured. Diving with Simon and Pirate Divers put you even more at risk.
Simon is an experience diver I have no doubt from that, but he did not learn from experience. He became more and more confident to the point where he does not care about the safety rules any longer. He was smelling alcohol before diving; the gear were old and the height meter was not working.
After a dive, we were two divers who got decompression sickness and we still do not know if it is because of the air in the tank or because we came back to the surface too quickly. In any case, because of Simon’s negligence and unprofessionalism, we ended up in a hospital during a week, putting an end to half our holidays. He never had a word to say sorry; he just don’t care.
In any case don’t put your life at risk and dive with real professional divers.

I did the three dives pack. The first one (in the reef) is not amazing and I would only recommend if (as me) you haven't dived for a long time and want a warm up. I have to say I asked for an easy first dive so it is not their fault! If you are an experienced diver you would probably skip this one. Second one in a small wreck, and the third one is just amazing, a huge ship wreck with lots of cool fish. The divemaster was really cool and experienced (sorry I don't remember his name he was Filipino!). I had a great time.

My first time diving in Busuanga and seeing the wrecks and Meg was a great dive master, really knew her stuff and introduced each wreck dive with in depth information about the wreck and the actual dive itself, what to expect and what we might see. Greg her partner joined each dive but with open water divers to give them the best experience around the boat. Recommended!

A great time with Gunter and the team exploring amazing wrecks whilst doing our advanced underwater certs. Never felt safer and more welcome. Highly recommended!

My wife and I spent two days diving with Gunter and his team. The service is fantastic, we were alone and privileged. The dive centre is located in a resort and we were able to use all the facilities free of charge.
The team is very attentive, they prepare our equipment and take care of everything.
The dive sites are amazing and the briefings are very well explained. They take your level into account and adapt the dives accordingly (from the simplest to the most technical).
The prices are very competitive, even cheaper than traditional dive centres where there are 15 of you per boat. What's more, the dive sites are very close by boat, so you don't have to make the long journey.
Thanks to Gunter and his team, I highly recommend them.
See you soon,
Souhail and Khadija

I had an awesome week diving with the D-Divers crew! They made sure I got to see everything I was trying to see and personalized my diving experience. We were always the first boat out on the wrecks and always the least crowded. Greg and Meg were awesome guides and took the time to explain the history of each wreck before we dove. I would highly recommend this operation if you are trying to avoid being stuck on a cattle boat all day!

Perfect Dive Centre!
With 13 years of active diving experience, D'Divers is definitely one of the best dive centres I saw.
Quality of service is perfect, very personalised and friendly, flexible in planning, perfectly sharp in safety.
Good rental equipment, well maintained. Reasonable prices.
Gunter is the best instructor to learn from. He do this 100% properly.
Please do plan your courses here, this is real quality which is so difficult to find.
My warm regards and compliments to all of you guys, hope to come back once especially to learn.

I had the pleasure to dive with Gunther for a few days and I must say that my experience was exceptional.
I chose Gunther after some online research saying that he was the best person to explore Coron wrecks with, and everything said about him online was true.
He’s an exceptional, safe, knowledgeable, respectful and talented diving professional that made my experience wonderful. His briefings, explanations and planning was top notch, with his decades of experience in Coron waters evident. He tailored the dive experience to me and what I was looking for, facilitating some incredible wreck experiences. He truly understands all aspects of scuba.
He also helped my parents on a discovery dive and they were so happy with his support. His pre-dive briefing prior to the discovery dive was the best I’ve seen with the perfect balance of technical explanation and enjoyment. He really facilitated an experience for non divers to try and dive and did it in a progressive safe way.
I would love to dive with Gunther again and recommend you do too.

AMAZNIG! That was our experience. Gerg and Megan took us in two days to four wrecks, we felt super safe with them and enjoyed talking with them between the dives.
Gunter the owner is as well a super nice guy -> Image with the store cat ❤️
We can recommend everyone to dive with them - it was our best diving expierience in the Philippines. 🤿🤙🏽

My husband and I dived with Gunter's centre, my husband is a tech diver and I've only been diving for a short time. It was our best diving experience ever! The centre is located in a hotel in an incredible setting, between the dives and afterwards we can enjoy the pool and the setting of the hotel. Before the dives we are given our equipment (very good condition) and the programme is explained to us. The team is incredible! The experience is particularly special because we have a 'private' experience, just us and the team of divers who look after us. For a very reasonable price, unlike other centres where the boats are full with 20 people.
Gunter is an experienced diver and his team is very pleasant. We recommend !!!!
khadija “Khadija S.” sarghouni — Google review
I had an excellent experience at Gunter’s Dive Centre.
We had divers with different experience levels in our group and they made sure that everyone had a dive that matched their skill level.
Small group size on the boat meant that we were never crowded at the wreck sites, and often didn’t see any other divers on our dives.
The dive centre is 10 minutes from the Okikawa Maru so you can be the first boat to dive it each day.
Greg and Meg were great guides, did thorough briefings and looked after us all very well.
The boat was nice and roomy and had plenty of shade, highly recommend these guys to anyone.

What an incredible experience! Gunter took excellent care of us, and Meg and Greg were fantastic guides who made us feel completely at home as beginner divers. They all made us feel both extremely safe and comfortable while also helping us stretch our limits to improve as divers and have an unforgettable time on the Coron wrecks. Given the opportunity, we will be back without question!

This is the best dive center in Coron! The booking process is nice and easy, very reasonably priced and welcoming. Greg and Meg are the best guides, they explain everything fully, make you feel safe and match the experience of the divers so everyone has a fun time.
I dove with them for three days, they made sure I could see all the dives and also that I better my diving skills. By day three I was super comfortable, all thanks to them.
As a plus I stayed in Coron Town and the drive over with scooter was super nice (it's 50 minutes, but totally worth it, even for a few days)
Thank you Gunter for the booking, Greg and Meg for the awesome three days, Nikky for driving us around and the awesome stories, and Chris for carrying all of our stuff up and down :)

Amazing experience!!! Jackson was a really good diving instructor. We did two dives to the okkikawa wrack, which is just 5min by boat away from the shop. It was truly an unique experience to dive thru an old shipwreck. There were many fishes and we also saw a squid and a turtle. The equipment was also in really good shape. Felt safe the whole time!
I would recommend Gunters Dive Center to anyone who wants to do some wrack diving!!
Federica Fassbender — Google review
Great experience diving at Gunter’s! Gunter himself and his son were very welcoming. Meg and Gregg were very competent guides, making us feel safe in what can be some challenging (but very rewarding!) dives. Interesting briefings including historical background on the wrecks. Adaptable dive plans based on diver comfort and skill level. The wrecks themselves are world-class. I was also surprised to see out of the ordinary corals and fauna (crocodile fish, scorpion fish, HUGE and rare nudibranchs) even though they aren’t the main attraction. Also much better to dive here instead of taking a veeery long boat from Coron City. There are beautiful resorts all around (we stayed at Marina Del Sol). Wish I had more time so I could have dived more with them.

Our first dives in The Phillipines with Gunter and Jackson, 2 days of wrecks (Gunter found them all 30 years ago!) coral gardens plus a surprise or 2!!
Professional, knowledgeable and a top team, felt very safe at all times, if in Buasanga look Gunter and the team up for wrecks and so much more.

We can’t express how thankful we are for beautiful two days with Meg and Greg. We’ve been diving all around the world and nobody has ever gave us such detailed brief. They know every centimeter of the wrecks we visited. They took fantastic care of us, giving great tips about technique and how to explore the wrecks. Thanks to them I overcame my anxiety of wrecks that was a consequence of one bad dive almost 10 years ago. They are mindful, caring and empathetic. It’s been a real pleasure to spend time with them and their Queenglish accent was a music to my ears :) thanks a lot!

Simply the best choice for wreck diving in Coron! Gunter has decades of experience in the area and unparalleled knowledge of the Japanese WWII wrecks in Busuanga Bay. Just as importantly, he and his staff are lovely people who provide the perfect combination of safety and fun (as an ex-instructor with 1000s of dives you can trust me on this)!
To top it all off, his amazing wife Eden even looked after our daughter in the dive center while we went out, allowing my wife and I the rare privilege of diving together! We don't trust just anyone with a job like that, but we knew right away we could trust them to look after our entire family. We can't speak more highly of the operation and the people running it! Thank you Gunter, Eden and crew. Looking forward to the next dive day!

I highly recommend this diving school! 2 years ago I was diving in Mexico and I had a bad experience so I got scared. I really love diving so I was very sad to have that fear. The diving instructor Nikki from Gunther diving school helped me feel comfortable underwater again and get through the fear! I am really grateful because I could dive and enjoy the underwater world again! thank you so much for helping me and making me feel so comfortable and safe!

Marina Del Sol Resort Barangay, km 38 Coron - Busuanga Rd, Busuanga, 5317 Palawan, Philippines
The island of Pagtenga hasn't undergone significant changes in more than three decades, despite the establishment of a resort that appears empty and somewhat deserted. The island remains tranquil and stunningly picturesque, making it an excellent destination for those seeking a break from their routine. It's a perfect spot to spend your semester break, surrounded by serene beauty and tranquility.
This is a private island named North Cay Nature Island Resort in Busuanga Palawan near Coron which you can rent exclusively. It has fine white sand beach and the island is also good for snorkeling. It has cottages that you can stay in comfortably during nights. It has a view deck too on top of a hill made of limestone on which you can enjoy the sunset.

Bulog Dos Island is a small island connected to the mainland by sandbars that is popular for swimming, sunbathing, and photograph-taking. The island has clear turquoise water and stunning views of surrounding islands.
It's a beautiful island but nothing to do. Just to check what scenery you can take a good photo. Riding a boat for more than 1 1/5 hour is it no worth the wait.

You can walk from the Two Seasons Resort. The entrance fee is 200 pesos, but they don't ask for it, but if you ask for it, you will get it. The atmosphere of similar islands in many countries is similar, but it is different and better when you visit again. I hope it is not developed. Aqua shoes are essential. It is a resort of healing and killing.

Nice Island with a awesome view. Transparent water. But no Corals. There are one resort too on this island though out guide from the boat suggested not to enter inside that resort as it is soo expensive and require pre bookings. I just mentioned if one is intrested in the resort stay at island.

This island is so beautiful with white sandy beaches, a beautiful sandbar, crystal clear water . Really a paradise island by itself. This is almost 2 hour by boat from the main island of Coron. My family rented a tour boat and its nice because you have your own schedule . When we went there there's pretty much not a lot of people. We snorkeled and the water was so clear and a lot of fish and corals. Our tour guide even prepared our lunch for us with fresh seafood and vegetables typical Filipino dish. We visited the island last Friday last week. This was our ultimate island tour that was supposed to cover malcapuya island and banana island. However, due to the gale warning, we were diverted to different places. We ate our lunch at Pass island. The island has cottages and tables and chairs for tourists that they can use for setting up their lunch buffet. The food was great and fresh. We had fruit carvings taken care of by our tour guide. We enjoyed the beach and the white fine sand. There was also an island deck that you can climb and view other islands nearby. I would recommend this place for your next visit in coron.

One of the most beautiful pristine white sand beaches in Coron. It’s a private island but it’s owner has collaborations with various tour package companies. We took the BDBM expedition from Coron to El Nido and Pass Island was the first night camping location. It has fundamental bamboo huts equipped with essential amenities like the fan, light and charging board. All the huts are sea facing, so you get to hear the pleasing sound of the waves. There’s a common bath and toilet area with multiple bathrooms. The caretakers of the island keep the island clean. This island provides one of the most beautiful views of the sunset.
Malcapuya Island is a beautiful white-sand beach located in Palawan. It offers clear aqua waters for snorkeling and is the perfect place to relax and escape the crowds. The island has a few small villages and coconut trees that add to its natural beauty.

According to the guide, the name Banana Island is because the island is shaped like a banana leaf and not because it has banana trees. What it actually has are coconut trees!
The island has white sand and crystal clear waters with benches and picnic tables to eat from. There is also a small store here - their version of a 7-11 😄
The area is kept clean, there are also trees here and Bermuda grass. Look out for ants though close to the tables.

A very beautiful long beach with white sand. There are not too many people and even if there are, the beach is so incredibly long that you can easily find a spot where nobody else is. Many dogs on the beach .a bit rubbish . A handful of accommodations and a few food and drink venues . We rate this as one of our best beaches .Has biting insects so pack your insect repellent. The road from El Nido is 98 % concrete , just couple of patches dirt road as you get off the 490 close to Nacpan .the final patch of dirt road along the beach was a complete mess so many were using the beach for a road.

Parking for scooters costs 20. Most beautiful beach I've ever been to. Walk a few steps north from the initial stores and restaurants. It will be worth it. There you have whole kilometers of beach just for yourself! The nature with the palm trees is incredibly green and has a rich color. On the other side is the turquoise water. Unfortunately, there is not much to discover while snorkeling. However the sunset is a must see!

We have done port Barton, el nido and coron and so far it is by far the best beach we have been to. Very very long beach to you can always find a quiet spot with no one around. A lot of people remains close to the restaurants, so you can just walk by the right to look for your perfect spot.
The only thing is that waves are pretty intense at times.
The last 5 minutes road is not paved but very easy to navigate, you just need to go slow.
No entrance fee, only a small parking

If you know how to ride a scooter definitely worth to go here. (500 peso for renting scooter and maybe 70-80 peso for refilling the gasoline). There are bar and some family owned restaurants can chill by the beach ! It was like a paradises.

Wow !!! What an amazing beach. If you can stay close by instead of El Nido don't think twice about it. Just do it.
The beach is simply HUGE and you don't even think it could ever be overcrowded. I think my pictures speak for themselves.
2 Sun chairs and a shade for 500 pesos per day. There is a guy with blue aluminum sun chairs just a few meters left from the main entrance, which I highly recommend.
Coconut and food are also quite ok to complete the nearly perfect beach day.

I'll never travel to El Nido without this trip planner again
Nacpan Beach is a beautiful and serene beach located in El Nido, Pangasinan. The beach is perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and picnicking with a restaurant nearby. Due to its remote location and lack of development, the beach remains pristine-perfect for nature lovers!
One of the most beautiful beach I've ever seen.
Crystal clear water and 5 km of golden sand.
Some sunbeds along the beach but as it's so big they were very spaced out. Cost 300 peso for the day of sunbed rental.
I could have spent a week here just enjoying this gorgeous place.

This is a really beautiful beach. It is a great spot to relax, but also good to explore. There are a few different restaurants along the beach and if you walk down the beach, the rocks at the end are beautiful. The sand is nice and soft and there are a lot of palm trees. This is also a great place during the golden hour and sunset.

Love this beach. Love the warm water and waves. Definitely, we'll come back.
Nina Vic Lacson-Hall — Google review
The perfect beach, easily one of the nicest on the planet. It's probably where the aliens sent Jodie Foster in the movie Contact.
Make sure you walk all the way to the northern end to find a small bar setup by a young boy named Dave. It will end up being the best spot to spend your birthday.
Greg Angevine — Google review
A very beautiful long beach with white sand. There are not too many people and even if there are, the beach is so incredibly long that you can easily find a spot where nobody else is. You can drive there by yourself on a scooter, the way is only a bit bumpy for a few meters and might me a bit muddy but no need to take a taxi to get here.
Kiki Miki — Google review
Very nice beach and super clear water, waves are a little bit stronger, on the main entrance there are lifeguards watching your safety. I especially liked it on the left side after the sunbed area, very shadowy till mid afternoon. I definitely would recommend if you're in the area.

Very beautiful beach! This beach was very clean with very little debris on the sand! Lots of options to eat right on the beach.
If you're comfortable on a motorbike it's quite easy to get here. It's a decent trek from El Nido, I would not recommend a tricycle ride as it would be very miserable being in one for that long.
Hayden Sofie — Google review
Shame the beach is very nice but so many rubbish. I don't know if I went there bad timing but the residents and resorts here seems doesn't mind all the trash. So sad scenario when walking the beach line.

Beautiful stretch of beach with fine sand and fun waves to play in. Most of the seating areas have some kind of fee. We ordered food from one of the restaurants and they waived the fee for us in their section.
The water was warm, the sand wasn’t rocky to step on, and the views were beautiful. Will definitely be back to visit.

Splendid beach. I went there on a Sunday, and I was one of the few people in the area. Nacpan beach is a mix of simplicity and majesty combined. Simply wonderful! <3

Highly recommend! There are umbrellas and beach chairs for rent and lots of food and drink choices. The dirt road is a little bumpy but very manageable on a scooter.

Amazing beach which felt like a paradise :) the water is very nice, with little waves for a fun swim.
We‘ve been warned that there are sand flies on the beach, but we did not have any but probs because it was raining - so bring a spray just in case.

Nacpan Beach is a well-known and beautiful destination near El Nido in Palawan, Philippines. It's famous for its long stretch of golden sand, clear waters, and stunning scenery. Nacpan Beach is a popular spot for visitors looking to relax, swim, sunbathe, and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere.
If you plan to visit Nacpan Beach, you can take a short drive or ride from El Nido town. It's a great place to unwind and appreciate the natural beauty of Palawan. Don't forget to explore nearby spots like Calitang Beach and enjoy the picturesque landscapes during your visit! (ChatGPT)

The most beautiful beach in Palawan in my opinion. We travelled to the Philippines around mid October, there weren’t many tourists and luckily the weather was perfect, we also had the chance to sail on a Paraw, the typical boat used on the island. This beach along with these beautiful sunsets is able to make you forget about everything else

Beautiful beach with a few restaurants. Nice and quiet, but expect to pay for parkinga nd beach chair. Not much, but have cash at hand. We went during windy season and waves were huge

Stunning virgin beach with white sand and coconut trees. Not so much people so u can enjoy relax time but as the same time you have some few good restaurants with good vibes

The best beach we visited. Clean white sand, beautiful water and waves. Cute little restaurants and places to grab a refreshment. You need to travel down a dirt road to get there but you’ll drive through a lovely village and it’s worth it!

A nice wide beach , good for swimming , clear waters with white/ gold fine sand .A small wave beach very pleasant. A long beach if you like a good walk or a run .
Darren Youngman — Google review
Its a beautiful beach. White sand and clear waters. Not crowded. A must visit. 40 mins drive from El nido proper. I suggest to rent a car or motor, but you can rent a tricycle worth 1,500 pesos.

The white sand beach with clear turquoise water, palm trees and rock formations is the perfect place to spend a day in paradise. The only downside is that it's only accessible by water, which makes it great for snorkeling.
Seven Commandos Beach is the first stop when taking Tour A of the El Nido Island Hopping tour package. Here guest can enjoy swimming in a very beautiful beach with fine sand and clear, emerald waters. Guests can also enjoy the unique limestone formations of the island and surrounding islands. A trip to this beach is usually included in a package of tour of other islands. The cost varies and could be less cheaper if taken with a hotel promo. I highly recommend this tour since El Nido, Palawan offers the best beaches and pristine sea in the Philippines.

Obviously a wonderful beach, with nice sand, crystal clear water, even some corals to do snorkeling. The only issue, and a big one for sure, is the crowd, it’s the first stop of tour A and it ruins the experience a bit.

This was our last stop on the tour and I totally fell for this beach. It was buzzing with life, but wow, the view and the sand, pure beauty. Lounging under the coconut trees was incredibly relaxing and watching everyone play beach volleyball and splash around in the water just added to the vibe.

Jan 2022 - the sand and the turquoise waters were gorgeous. There were a lot of coconut trees that give shade on a hot afternoon. There was a store that served drinks but we didn't avail of it. We didn't stay long. It was a very hot afternoon and there was not much to do.

So, here's the lowdown on this unique little gem – it's got its own brand of charm that's just waiting for you to discover. It might not scream "untouched paradise," but the fact that both local folks and globe-trotters alike can't resist its magnetic pull says something, right?
Now, picture this – there's this quaint little joint that's got drinks and snacks to satisfy your cravings. Yeah, it's a tad pricier than your average snack stop, but hey, you're paying for the experience.
And speaking of experiences, if you're thinking of bunking down for the night, plan that puppy ahead with your trusty tour provider.
Now, quick tip – this might not be the go-to place for those "snap-and-go" snapshots. Unless you're a pro at capturing those magical moments in the midst of the hustle and bustle. Alternatively, if your smartphone's got some ninja-level editing skills, you can turn those pics into priceless souvenirs.
But here's the thing – this place is definitely worth a visit. It's got a charm all its own that'll leave you smitten. Oh, and if you're a volleyball ace, don't be shy – challenge some fellow tourists to a friendly game. After all, it's all part of the adventure! 🏐📸🌟

Don’t understand why it has such high review. Amount of tourists and boats brought there is insane. Yes, it’s beautiful like many beaches in Philippines, but you can’t really enjoy it with all chaos of ppl and so many boats.

Visit to the beach is the last stop of tour A of El Nido. This white sand beach is long enough not to get crowded. Some people paddle there by kayak, since it’s not that far from El Nido proper. There is snorkeling 🤿 possibility just right off the beach (closer to the private resort). In fact it is quite good - interesting hard coral formations and some fish 🐠 as well. There is a dedicated swimming area, so swimmers and those snorkeling are not disturbed by the boats.

Seven Commandos Beach is undeniably beautiful, with its stunning scenery and crystal-clear waters. The beach offers a variety of activities such as beach volleyball, swimming, and grabbing a drink.
Positive Aspects:
a) The beach boasts breathtaking scenery and pristine waters.
b) Various activities available including beach volleyball, swimming, and enjoying a drink by the beach.
Areas for Improvement:
a) The major drawback is the overwhelming number of tourists; the beach is often overcrowded as it's a common stop for many tours.
b) The excessive tourism has somewhat diminished the natural charm of the place.
If you prefer quieter and more serene beaches, you might want to explore lesser-known options in the area.

Cute beach near El Nido's Corong Corong bay. You'd see hundreds of people there as most of the tour boat will make a stop there. Nice place to play volleyball, relax, swim... you can't bring your own food but you can buy drinks and snacks from the little shop there. If you want to enjoy the whole beach to yourself I will highly recommend kayaking there early in the morning around 7am - weather permitting and smooth sea condition, and you'd be rewarded by the beautiful, peaceful, pristine Seven Commandos Beach.

Cute stop for tours after a long day of activities. You can play volleyball, swim, walk around, or just relax here in this beach. I think you can even eat and drink here. There are toilets here too. This beach is quite busy though but it is still pretty.

Being our first stop for tour A we were one of the first ones to arrive here. Madami na tao when we left but it didn’t ruin the beauty of the beach for me. It has stores in The area where u can buy snacks and drinks.
You can also be playful with other tourists or if you are a bug group cos theres a net and ball for beach volley. Fun
My fave stop for our Tour A (my 2nd time doing tour A but my first time in 7 commandos). To me it has a very chill vibe, it being the first stop hindi ka pa haggard haha and all wet for the photo ops.
Las Cabanas Beach is a serene, picturesque beach in El Nido province, Palawan that's well-known for its stunning sunsets. It's also a great place to relax and enjoy casual dining options and bars, as well as explore the vast array of activities on offer in the area.
Took a stroll here prior sunset and I witnessed a wonderful view. It's not too crowded and really appreciated the silence and the scenic view. However, you have to bring mosquito repellant to avoid its bites. There are souvenir stores and dining areas around so you can have your dinner after watching the sunset.

Decent beach. From El Nido town proper you can either motorbike or get a tricycle for 150 pesos one way. By the beach there are restaurants, corner shops, and even a gym. The beach is not very wide but quite long. It's pretty clean and doesn't get busy until mid-day onwards. There are some restaurants with sun loungers that you can rent for a reasonable price.

Really good spot for Sunset, but it does get really busy so go early to get a good spot.
About 15 minutes from El Nido town and ₽150 each way by trike. After sunset there will be a bunch of trikes waiting outside where they dropped you off but there will be a lot of people also trying to get bikes and not much of a line system so it gets a bit chaotic.

Extremely beautiful place that is nice to see. Very beautiful nature, rocks, extremely clean water and things that will fascinate you. We were on a tour there and we were fascinated by the beauty of it all.
It may not change much, because some tourists do not conserve nature and throw away their trash, even where it is sad. The place is definitely worth it.

The kajak tour in the big lagoon was the most amazing thing I did during my trip to El Nido. I loved exploring the lagoon on my own and going through the narrow stretches between the rocks.
I had not been in a kajak for longer and the sun burns you evilly on the water. Yet is was just awesome. Not to miss when you get the chance. The kajak is 300php and you need about an hour to go all around the lagoon and back.

Boy oh boy! Absolutely phenomenal, stunning, and overall breath taking. Kayaking in is worth the extra few bucks. My boyfriend and I both agree that it is definitely for the best that the tour boats are not allowed in. Once you enter the lagoon, you understand the importance of preserving that kind of beauty. The water is a dream-like blue. Also, if you are wondering, the kayaking trek is not too difficult. I'll never travel to El Nido without this trip planner again
Hidden Beach, located in the island of El Nido in the Philippines, is a secluded locale with towering rock formations, abundant coral and a peaceful sandy beach. The beach can only be accessed by those who know about it and the water level around it dictates whether or not people are able to get there. It is an amazing place to relax with its tranquil waters and beautiful surroundings.
Hidden Beach offers one of the most stunning places in El Nido. You can enjoy fine, white sand, picturesque rock formations, snorkeling, and of course, instagrammable surrounding. This place is part of Tour C package. The price depends on the package that you choose. Some hotels even include this tour in their offerings. Our group of nine bought 5250 and enjoyed hotel stay, free breakfast, van transportation to and from Puerto Princesa, Tour A and Tour C, as well as some miscellaneous payments (eco fee, etc.) Overall the price was reasonable and the place was unforgettable I highly recommend visiting this place.

Matinloc Island is a beach island located in the province of Palawan, Philippines. It is a popular tourist destination due to its lush vegetation and white sand beaches. The island also has a Catholic shrine that is visited by locals for veneration, merry-making, and festivity.
Magnificent views
Part of Tour “C” is a visit to Matinloc Island, about 20 boat ride from El Nido.
Arriving at Matinloc, our boat docked on a little platform, with a narrow runway over the water, where we were greeted by a sculpture of Jesus Christ in a small cave and a concrete gazebo, a reminder that this is also a religious, or at least spiritual, place.
Having paid the 100Pesos per persons Entrance fee, we followed our boatman, who invited us to climb a limestone cliff standing mightily on the beach.
The top of the cliff offered a magnificent view of some parts of Matinloc Island and other nearby islands and beaches. We were the only people in the area and we felt like we owned the place.
A word of caution, by the way, the cliffs are quite steep and the rocks are pretty pointed that one wrong move can bring you in trouble. Watch your steps.
Alfons Wilbert — Google review
After leaving Helicopter island and its beautiful white sand and rocky beach, we will land on Matinloc Shrine. This place used to host a convent and school which are now abandoned and that you can walk around. Aside from its white sand and clear water, this island offers activities like swimming, snorkeling and trekking. Also a nice place for photo shoot📸

Amazing nature, the resort is very cute with kind staff. Cons: it’s impossible to buy alcohol drinks on the island and the restaurant menu is to revise... thank you Adrian!!!
The Secret Lagoon is a small, hidden lagoon that can only be accessed through a tiny hole in the sharp coral rocks. It's a popular destination for sightseeing, with views of the ocean between the rocks.
Secret Lagoon El Nido is one of the most special areas in Palawan! It offers impressive limestone cliffs, secluded white sand beaches, and of course, a secret lagoon. The Secret Lagoon can only be accessed by boat on one of the El Nido Island Hopping Tours. More specifically, El Nido Tour A is the only boat tour that operates trips to the Secret Lagoon Palawan.El Nido Tour A is the most top-rated El Nido Island Hopping Tour with great reviews and thousands of bookings.
Tour A El Nido includes a full day of island hopping on an outrigger boat to Seven Commandos Beach, Big Lagoon/Small Lagoon, Secret Lagoon El Nido, Shimizu Island, and a BBQ lunch on the boat.

The place is really nice and we reach there during the golden hour so it was even more beautiful.
Last island in the tour A.
I stayed on the boat because the secret lagoon was packed. Photos just with the drone.🤪

It’s not very special or beautiful. It’s just a small lagoon with green water and it’s mostly overcrowded by tourists. Outside of the lagoon, it’s way more beautiful.

Small beach with ruined coral as boats and people walk all over it!🪸 secret lagoon is hidden through a small hole you have to climb through! The lagoon it’s self is murky and very small😅 The beach is pretty🏝️

No photo inside secret lagoon, but the view inside is mesmerizing. Though a bit crowded, still a must visit.

Beautiful, however there's going to be hundreds of people. If you're a good swimmer, they will let you in without a life vest. It's a truly secret lagoon because you have to swim through a tiny while in the rock formations to get in. If you can't swim, they'll push you through. Worth visiting. Carry your phone in a sealed plastic cover. There's no beach to dry your hands. You'll be in water the whole time.

It's a beautiful site. The Secret Lagoon itself is OK. It was a squeeze to get into it, and that was compounded by the fact that there were so many people trying to get in at the same time. The guides did a great job of making sure there were no issues, but in the end, the site was just OK.
The beach next to it was amazing, and I wish I had we had more time to explore that

We got to visit a once in a lifetime place at the Secret lagoon, El Nido. We visited a magical cave that cannot be visited by the mainstream tourists. To reach the cave, We had to swim into a hole submerged under water for 10 Seconds. Our guide Mr.Zaldi from Elnido Don and Dean ensured our safety. The water inside the cave was crystal clear. The fishes inside the cave looked much different from the fishes we see outside the cave.

Visit to Secret Lagoon is included in the tour A. To enter the lagoon one have to squeeze through tiny opening hidden between a towering wall of limestone rocks. Inside there is a small pool (the water is murky and particularly beautiful) surrounded by massive limestone rock formations. Since some people have difficulty in squeezing through the opening, quite often there is a queue to enter and exit from the lagoon.
What is more interesting is the beach next door. Probably - in our opinion- the most scenic beach of the whole El Nido area.

The Secret Lagoon in El Nido, Palawan, is another hidden gem known for its enchanting beauty. This lagoon is concealed behind towering limestone cliffs, and to reach it, you often have to swim or kayak through a small opening in the rocks. (ChatGPT)

after waiting in line for 15 mins to get in, I can confirm it is definitely not a secret lagoon any more. interesting, but wasn't really worth the wait, we left as soon as the line behind us climbed in. but, it was one of the stops on the tour, so what can you do.
The island is known for its clear waters that are perfect for snorkeling, as well as vendors who sell snacks and drinks. It's also home to towering limestone cliffs that provide shade during the day.
Very beautiful beach... enjoyed a lot here! ❤🏖🌊🏝💙

Super clean and clear blue water. Picture perfect, no filter needed. The locals and the tour guides means business when they said they will protect the marine life.

Shimizu Island is a wonderful and stunning Island in the Bacuit Bay. It was our second stop after big lagoon and so there were not many people. We skipped the Secret Lagoon as a part of our private tour „A“ and went to Entalula Island instead. A great decision. On Shimizu Island you can relax shortly and you can go snorkeling (isn’t that good). There are also some small shops to buy soda, water and so on. The beach is little and so try to go there when not many people are there. From above it’s much better.

this is were we had our lunch and it was really good except the weather as it was super hot. there is a small cave kinda opening where you can enter and have a look around. its fun because the small opening will be half submerged in water.

After a long island hopping tour, we arrived Shimizu island as our last stop. It was a great place to chill and refresh. Just like other islands of El Nido, the water was great. There were few shops where we can buy some food and tender coconut. This is a very beautiful island and can be visited through island hopping Tour A.

The beach looks lovely. It is very small though and it gets very crowded around noon since this is the place all boats from the tour A go to serve lunch. The is not much to do at the beach (even swimming is not advisable due to the number of boats). The facilities on the beach include the toilet and small kiosk selling buko juice and soft drinks. The is some interesting rock formations at the right end of the beach - good for photo-op. We spotted water monitor lizard 🦎 when we visited the beach. He kept distance but seemed accustomed to the presence of the people.

Lagoon is incredible, but very busy times can be be good to avoid.

We traveled here to do some peaceful and enjoyable snorkeling. There was a bit of a current so it gave us, including our guides, an extra swimming challenge. Ocean water and sunlight were just so relaxing and the fishes were colorful, mostly various shades of blue during our visit. I tested the water without a vest and I am happy enough to say the ocean would not let me sink. I am not sure if that is a good thing for freediving, but for one who relies heavily on vests, this was really comforting. For once, I finally felt I have braved the ocean, a few seconds at a time, that is!

Our 4th stop is Shimizu island..we stop here only for lunch..you can buy coconut here and you can swim also..note:make sure you wear shoes from the port to rent..as you walk by here there so many rocks and coral..so better to wear shoes!

The Vigan Island is a beautiful, isolated island that offers great views of Snake Island from above. The island can be visited during different seasons to see the sandbar visible at different times.
Vigan Island is the place to hike to get a good vantage point to see the Snake Island from above. I came in late December, the Snake Island was under water. You can visit during a season to see a clear "sand bar"
