Love this place. The first time there was for my birthday dinner at their high-end restaurant.
13 Moons. I had steak and lobster.
Now I go there once a week, for the gaming and lunch.
I look forward to it.

Really has cleaned up over the years. Haven't been there for at least 2 years. They remodeled and expanded a little bit. Didn't try any food this time but will in the future. Definitely a good time because my wife won a jackpot 😉

Will preface this by saying that it's difficult for my husband to stay anywhere that doesn't have a recliner or offer a high-backed chair with ottoman. He can no longer sleep in a bed. We called and were assured an ottoman could be provided.
After a long day of driving and getting lost up in Vancouver Canada, then waiting for almost 2 hours to cross the border, we arrived to find there was no ottoman. A sweet employee came to the room with a metal step stool which wasn't what we were looking for. She told us there were no ottomans. This staff member then offered to get us anything and kindly brought back some extra water. She made our day. Husband didn't sleep well, but we were only there for one night anyway.
Handicapped room was very nice but could have been a little more spacious. We enjoyed the bar & restaurant and the casino. Friendly staff. Beautiful place to stay.

Well really bad service tonight. We came from BC on a motorcycle and was real hungry. We were told this restaurant was a go to for food and portions. Well my experience was horrible, first I ordered the steak from the menu. Asked for rare temperatures. When it arrived, the steak was medium temperature. I informed the waitress, which was young and unexperienced about my issue. I was super hungry and started to eat the broccoli and potatoes. I only ordered one beer as well. Took 2 sips out of the bottle. The waitress was called over and I asked if I was getting more side dishes as the potatoes and broccoli was almost gone. She said no only a new steak. I then told her to take the steak off the bill and I will eat this one on my plate. The waitress grabbed gloves, took the steak off my plate and removed my beer. Told me I was cut off and security came over to tell me the same. So I got a replacement steak to eat. Which was good, but bad experience now for the casino. They won't serve me a drink and it's my first on here in America after a motorcycle ride. Not good, real bad taste in my mouth. They won't get any money from me now
I will never come back and I need to let everyone know about this bad experience
Stay away from this casino and restaurant

I stayed here for five nights. The overall experience was positive with a few exceptions which I have documented below. The place seems pretty new and is nicely decorated. I'm a Craps player so I was happy to learn that the casino had a craps table. Unfortunately, it seemed to closed much of the time and they do not have bubble craps machines as an alternative when the regular craps table is closed. I'm not a slot player, but from what I observed, the slot machines seemed to have lower payouts than at other casinos I've visited.

Stayed for a very short visit (<12 hours) overnight to catch an early ferry to the islands. The hotel itself wasn’t anything special (beds were hard; heating/cooling system outdated and very noisy; no exhaust fan in the bathroom, so we noticed mold growing in shower corners; guy at check-in was less than hospitable; noisy at night if your room faces RV park). We did, however, really enjoy our dinner at 13 Moons. The filet and scallops were fantastic, and we enjoyed the special martini on the menu. We did not check out the casino, but did appreciate that everything was non-smoking. We’ll probably select another hotel in the future, but would definitely dine at 13 Moons again!

Very nice actually, one of the cleanest hotels we’ve stayed in. Staff were attentive and friendly. The room was very comfortable. Next time the water view and balcony for sure. Visiting in better weather next time too, to enjoy the outdoor areas more so. The bartender at 13 Moons was fantastic. She was a pleasure to interact with. Great stay overall.
Keith L — Google review
Overall pretty nice place. The 13 moons restaurant is very good but very expensive. The room we had was nice but the shower design could use a little better engineering. No place to hang a washcloth and the showerhead had plenty of volume but was dispersed in a really wide pattern, which I don’t prefer. A/C in room was marginal at best and I don’t think it would keep the room cool in the summertime.

Well, took my mother-in-law from Texas to visit, she is use to the casinos down by Lake Charles, LA. Sad to say this one was nothing like those. Still enjoyable.. just prepare for smaller chances to win and smaller payouts. But for the area, it will do.
Cadesha Pacquette — Google review
Extremely disappointed with how the company's hosting team has treated me. Telling me I will receive free play on a specific date, offered me a room and a dinner at the 13 moon restaurant for 2 to eat. After driving for 3 hours, I find myself with $0 freeplay, no room, and no food comp. It's as if they straight out lied to me to get me to come to their venue to spend my money. We spend 6 hours driving yesterday for nothing. My partner and I will NOT be returning.
Be careful with this company, they will lie to your face to get you to come down. The host even sent me a personalized letter in the mail asking me to call them to set up what they were offering me.
I am so disgusted in how I was treated. This is not how you do business. In fact, I am reporting this company, because I have everything on the record.

Although this is a nice, smaller casino with a good selection of games and a couple great restaurants, this review is for the excellent security and customer service. My daughter and I were here on Friday night and I managed to lose my fairly new $1000 phone. I was so distraught I would never get it back but around 2am I got a call that they had found it. These days it's such hit or miss having an item like a phone found and returned, so needless to say I was beyond pleased!! Thanks so much Swinomish Casino!!

We had a blast! My boyfriend and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary by booking a King Suite Bay View room and we were not disappointed. The suite was huge and the view was gorgeous. Mount Baker, to the northeast, was out and gorgeous. We do not typically stay in suites, but it was a special occasion that did not disappoint. We had dinner reservations at 13moons, which ended up being right down the hall from our room. We liked being able to book a room where we could stay overnight, have dinner, get drinks at the Center Bar and visit with friends we found down in the casino. We had a great stay. The jacuzzi in the room was fabulous and it had a great view! The sleeper sofa in the room was hard, but we weren't sleeping on it, so eh.

Always feels like coming home! The rooms are cozy, beds are perfect and it is always so quiet. Best sleeps ever come from staying at this
Lodge. The staff are friendly 'always', helpful, particularly when it comes to recommendations this last time for Covid Travel Tests, it worked out perfectly and without a hitch. The food is always amazing at Carvers with just the right amount and have never had a bad meal, always tasty. Amazing housekeeping, casino floor cleaners, hotel greeters who make us feel safe and know we are being taken care as it relates to cleanliness, sanitizing etc. Thank You! For all you do and for always being great hosts!

Could be a real nice place. The gambling is on limited hours most of the food service is ok. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful however there is no room service not real good promotions of activities at the casino. This facility has the ability to be great or even exclusive but no microwave in the rooms and no room service also even after several months and 3 trips the coffee stand is still closed. We did enjoy out time buy it felt limited.
Steve Parker — Google review
I have steadily come to the casino once or twice per week for the past 5 or so years. I have had nothing but positive interactions with the staff in every department! The friendliness and degree of service is precisely what keeps me coming back! Not even the slightest negative experience!
However, a friend and I were walking across the gaming floor, him carrying a small shoulder bag, we were aggressively approached by a shaved-head security guard who insisted on seeing inside my friend's bag. The security guard implied that this bag, because it was not a similarly sized feminine purse or a traveller's luggage, was forbidden from the floor. He then proceeded to take each item from the bag in the middle of the gaming floor, and tell us how it could be improvised into a weapon. Really weird behavior. Some guys just carry a bag, too. He demanded the shoulder bag be taken to the car, which we did. We chalked it up to circumstance and moved along.
However, we visited a couple days later and the same security walked past in a similarly aggressive manner, likely on his way to address some other pressing matter. I overheard two other workers chatting about him, and talking about his bad attitude and they should stay away from him because he was having a bad day. Made me feel bad for them having to work like that.
Every time I've been in since, I feel like I have to keep an eye out and steer clear of this guy. Just takes away from the fun and immersion and that I somehow need to be hyper-aware of what I'm carrying or some other innocuous misstep. I'm glad they take customer safety seriously! But this guy's attitude feels a bit off the mark for the experience they try to cater.
I still plan on visiting as regularly as before, just with a bit less enjoyment and some new on-guardedness.

A glorified Dave and Busters. You'll find better food options at a mall food court. You can walk the entire casino in under 10 minutes. The staff is friendly, the casino is clean and smoke free. There is a gas station, cannabis store and a Native American art/gift shop on the property.

Very clean neat and tidy rooms. Very fancy shower overall a excellent experience. Would 10 out of 10 stay again. And also 100% would recommend. This was in my top 5 hotel rooms I've had in my life

We have yet to stay in the rooms here however we do spend a bit of time at this casino. The bartenders are nice, Ann is the best one make sure you go see her. Only one roulette table and no baccarat. Ton of slots though! This is the casino you wanna chill and have drinks at.
Mitchell M — Google review
In general this casino has the best customer service! But for some reason our waitress just did not, Hailey in the sports bar was just rude and impatient. I understand that it’s 12am and you wanna go home but you were also trained and you are in the service industry girl . Git it together!!!

This review is based on my experience at the Bar & Grill which is located inside the casino. If the Bar & Grill is any indication of what happens within the rest of the building, my concerns for the health and welfare of its patrons becomes even more elevated. It's a nice place don't get me wrong, it's just evident that management do not care about safety standards for its guests.

Well first time there, I got a card and a spin on kiosk
It hsve me $5 then another spin $5. Was given 2 complimentary e vouchers for $10 ea to be used separately or later date. Got an original burger and then a milk shake. Burger was the driest ever no mayo mo mustard or ketchup and no packets of them anywhere. All I asked not to be on it was sweet realish. Instead the burger was over done shredded lettuce 🍅 onion. One of the worst ever. Milkshake had to be hersheys strawberry syrup. Again blah got thru 1/4 of it and passed it on who inturn passed it to guy in back seat.. we left after 1hour and not winning at all. Dont think I heard the bells go off on any machine. Live in Machias and it was 40 min from Winco in Everett so it was long drive can't see me going any time soon. Nice place but I played what I would at Snoq and Quil Ceda creek and nothing..Think I'll save my money for a newer car..yeah right in my dreams

First night in overflow rv site...was horrible. Has trailers there that are homeless people and they were terrible. Dog was loose jumped all over husband as he was setting up and they were driving their truck up the grassy knoll behind us, generator on at all hrs . We moved to another site next morning. Very nice and peaceful there . Went in and complained to the staff . They were very apologetic but they knew about them . I just don't understand why they put us right beside them when there were spots away from them in overflow. We were site 45 and the homeless were on site 47 . Very disappointing First night but 2nd night good.

We didn't stay at this visit, but the rooms are very nice. I brought my daughter for a birthday lunch. We ate at Fat Burger! YUM! We both won money and left feeling great. We had a wonderful time!
19th-century fur trading post offering interpretive exhibits & activities such as gold panning.
I can't believe I've never taken the time to visit and explore Fort Langley. Full of historical buildings and exhibits outlining the history of European settlement, the Hudsons Bay company and the relevance of Fort Langley to the story. A fascinating place to visit for a few hours
Frank Hannig — Google review
Because I had my dog, we couldn't visit the fort, but that's not a problem. This village is a feast for all five senses. A great place to see vintage vehicles, and lots of antique shops. We visited the old rail station, which was a favorite of the grandkids, then crossed the bridge and wandered along the Fraser River's edge. Fort Langley is always busy on weekends, but when we visited on Labour Day, it was not bad at all. We lunched at the bistro under the pub, enjoying their peppery calamari while sitting outside at one of their beautifully appointed outdoor booths. A very pleasant day!
Dianne D'Bos — Google review
This is impressive considering that the site is under 200 years old on a compact site. The staff are all friendly and they will share their knowledge of the site and how the Hudson Bay Company did business and learned to integrate into the community.
It is a great choice to take kids as there is onbly one main entrance / exit (no wandering off) there is a playroom building dedicated for kids. The bathrooms are clean and well serviced. Parking lot access is good.
We went during a rainstorm, and it is not hard to image how the people lived in the wet, westcoast weather. Even with the rain, there were about 30 visitors on site. If you are visiting during clear and warm weather, I can imagine the site being very busy, so I would recommend buying tickets in advance.
Andrew McClure — Google review
Loved exploring this historic site. It highlights the part of the local history when the first settlers traded items with the first nations. The blacksmith workshop show and walking around the fort walls was my favourite part.
Paul Cikatricis — Google review
What a nice fun place to visit for the whole family! All the staffs are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. They even have 5 tentics for rent to stay inside the fort during summer time, so cool! Clean washrooms and big parking lot..
Aom Hildebrand — Google review
The thing that makes Fort Langley is the enthusiasm and erudition of the docents who bring this place alive. On our visit we met an 80 year old man who had the most phenomenal memory who held us spell-bound while he told us his story - and the story of the Fort. But the laurel wreath award goes to the chatty blacksmith who absolutely brilliant and shows you how hand eye coordination improves with practice and cannot be replicated any other way and who can turn a few cms of iron bar into a nail in seconds. We were early, so all I wanted to do was use the washroom - which is before you have to pay for admission - we would of course return after lunch - and I had a very informative exchange with the guy selling tickets. Parks Canada has done its amazing magic (see Dawson City if you don't believe me) in bringing a collection of historical buildings to life. Every schoolchild in the lower mainland gets to go to Fort Langley. If you haven't been yet you should go now.
Stephen Rees — Google review
First time here I didn't know what to expect, it was clean, beautiful, and had something interesting in every building. I loved the workers in period clothing, and so knowledgable. Even stuff for the kids to do and play with. If you're looking for something to do for 2 hours this is the place. Not to mention the great shopping area in down town to far away.
Brenna S — Google review
Great history lesson about British Columbia and Canada. Worth the $7 ticket and a great way to spend a day. 5 minutes walk to the Downtown Fort Langley. It would be the best if you park at the historic site free parking lots and walking to Fort Langley downtown.

Really enjoyed this great little town. Lots to see, great restaurants, ice cream and coffee shops. The fort is a must see. Very educational and an important part of history in British Columbia.

Very historic. Got live actor, but they are not friendly and quiet. A lot spots to study and reflect and take photo.
David Chen — Google review
Too much history in this place. It is a great choice for families. There is a unique building for kids, my son loved it. My little one enjoyed the rabbits. The blacksmith chat friendly. Neat bathrooms and parking lot access. Kids under 18 are free admission. You can go to the Farm Machinery Museum as well just crossing the street.

We went today to the vive les voyageurs event, also was our first time visiting the historic site, the place is big and great for activities with children, we visit all the area, at the main entrance you can take a map, also attend the music performance with michael and rosie and the spoons with maurice, it was really fun!, we learn something new today!, we trade something with the blacksmith and eat some poutine, its really amazing how locals try to keep the traditions and heritage!
Paulina Pedrero Miranda — Google review
This old small heritage town is a swing-by place for anyone who get bored with downtown Vancouver and wanna get away into a new environment. Many local eatery’s that are kept genuine and authentic. Fort itself is a disappointment because the forest covers everything and I can’t see inside. However, wandering around this town and capture some photos are still worth it. I have a feeling that this town is similar structured like Ladner. Overall, it is nice to be here.

Amazing place full of treasures! I recommend it to everyone (for all age) to understand our history. They do realistic representations of hiw people lived at that time. Everything is translated in French (as an official Canadian site) & free access on Canada day! Enjoy!
Whatcom Falls Park is a scenic city park located in the hills, featuring waterfalls, gardens, trails, a fishing pond, and a playground. It's an ideal place for families to visit and enjoy nature. The park has public washrooms and a small playground near the parking lot. Visitors can take short hikes along relaxing trails surrounded by trees. Although it may not be as expansive as some parks, its beauty makes it worthwhile to visit.
A lovely park with an ancient bridge and beautiful waterfalls. Short and light (there are stairs at some point so not suitable for a baby stroller). Near the parking lot there are public washrooms and small playground. Highly recommended.

Beautiful park with lots of nice trails and scenery. Most of it is fairly stroller friendly as well. There are multiple exits/entrances in and out to quite streets. The hatchery was a cool addition to see there.

06/24/23: I had some downtime walking, running, and climbing in this beautiful park. The parking is enormous, and there is no need for Discover Pass
The park itself is large, with clear arrows for directions and tons of things to discover. The most impressive thing that stuck to my mind is the gorgeous waterfall at the entrance. Lovely park with relaxing and calming nature inside it
Danny Tram — Google review
A park with a waterfall. A short calm hike. A few parking lots. Whatcom waterfall There are not many views it’s more a walk under the trees. Few small lakes. Convenient short walk to the whatcom lake beach nearby if you want to go to the “real beach”. Some amenities. Quite convenient place for a short hike

Beautiful place for a more challenging walk/hike. Most of the trails were pretty narrow and a little muddy(we went in December). A few of them required a more adventurous disposition than I had that day and I didn't wear the best shoes. I have been told that the falls are much more full rapid flowing if you visit in the spring when the mountain snow melt flows down. I think it's fantastic any time of year. Visited December 2018

Small yet beautiful falls to visit. If you are expecting it to be a big place, it’s not. You just need to walk 2 mins to see the falls, however there are trails where you can do hike in between trees which feels relaxing and soothing.
Siddhant Kshatriya — Google review
Beautiful park. Amazing hiking trails. The falls are beautiful as well. Large parking area. Restrooms were clean and well stocked. Playground was a little small but decent. Hatchery was fun to look at and see. Definitely a lot to see and do for such a little park. Also seen lots of leashed dogs.

Amazing little park. Waterfalls and small creek are very charming. The pools made by the dams are picturesque. It was also cool to see the old train bridge, but there is a sign that says it will be removed soon. Go see it before it disappears.

It’s so great park to enjoy weekend! Bring your snack and lunch and swimwear and shoes for playing in the river and you can enjoy couple hours. Place is so green and beautiful too. From parking to bridge is only a minute and only 3-5min to pool and falls.

This place truly has it all - beautiful scenery, trails ranging from easy to slightly challenging, a quaint waterfall, a mossy bridge, public restrooms, several parks, wildlife sightings, and convenient parking. It's a perfect spot for anyone looking to explore nature's beauty, whether you're on a leisurely walk or seeking a bit of adventure. Highly recommended for a fulfilling outdoor experience!

This was a great family outing. We were visiting from Utah, while the rest of our family flew out from the East coast. We hiked a little, took the grandbaby to the park, enjoyed the falls....it was glorious!

A very serene area where the falls are flowing.
Loved the peace and calm there.
Just after a very short hike up the falls you will find another small falls - we saw lot of young people playing, bathing and swimming there - looked fun but I think i read no swimming in falls somewhere in the park so not sure if this was allowed.
The small playground is nice for less then 4 years old kids.

Amazing walk!!! The falls is located just about 5 minutes away from the parking lot.
There are different swimming areas which we loved. Water is a bit cold but refreshing!
You can continue the walk through the park and reach the Bloedel Donavan Park, which I highly recommend!
This entire walk takes a total of 1.5 hours to complete. Easy!

This is not the closest parking area for viewing the falls. If you want to see the falls and not walk far, use directions for Whatcom Creek Park.
That being said it’s still a nice shady walk to the falls from here. The whole park is huge with lots of trails.
Lots of people swimming in the creek, I was surprised how inviting the water looked. Still we never figured out a way to get down there that didn’t freak me out because it’s a steep jump and a long fall if you are not careful.

I love the natural beauty of this park. The river runs through creating a series of pools. There is a wonderfully built stone bridge. My personal favorite is the old trestle bridge spanning the river.
Brendan Syfert — Google review
A beautiful park with a really cool waterfall right next to the entrance! The waterfall is so picturesque😍
You can chill by the water, and it's super refreshing. Plus, there are hiking trails all around, so you can explore the area. It's a great place to just kick back, have a picnic, or snap some killer Instagram pics. Trust me, you gotta check it out if you're into nature and good vibes.

Such a cute park! The falls are beautiful! A park with the amenities of a small city park (playgrounds, tennis and basketball courts, bathrooms, off-leash dog areas, etc.) but with trails that feel like you’re out in the middle of the woods. I love walking here!

Absolutely stunning. Oasis within 5-10 minutes of Bellingham. Perfect place to FALL back and connect with nature. Plenty of trails, especially along the river! Minimal walk from parking lot to waterfalls if you don’t/ can’t walk far.

We often like to go for walks when we're out. We stumbled on this path and it was better than we expected. It's a great party with quite a large flowering falls. The falls aren't high but the water coming over was a lot. Just a beautiful serene place worth visiting!!

Beautiful park and easy trails! Terrible experience with a guy from parks and rec who slammed on the door and yelled at my girlfriend while she was using the public and unlocked restroom at the park. She had only been in the bathroom for less than two minutes. We think he assumed she was a houseless person but nothing excuses his rude behavior and yelling.

Love that the waterfalls and stone bridge is so close to the parking lot. Saw some deer on the way out. Honestly the closest I've been to deer in nature. Just a lovely park for a walk.
Golden Ears Provincial Park is a sprawling outdoor recreation area located just an hour away from downtown Vancouver. It boasts a massive lake that offers a variety of aquatic activities, and is also home to three different campgrounds and numerous hiking trails. The park is renowned for its scenic trails and ample parking space, making it an ideal destination for hikers, trail runners, walkers and picnic-goers alike. Additionally, boat/kayak rentals are available during the summer months.
One of the better parks around, some of the best trails/hikes around. Ample parking for all your friends and then some. Trail runners and walkers enjoy the multitude of trails all around. Ideal weather is a dry 20+ degree day, but even on a 7 degree late winter day was nice, especially with all the picnic tables available. Boat/kayak rentals in the summer also make it a nice day out
Ankush G — Google review
I have now been here twice with different friends this summer. Day pass was required to enter certain parts of the park due to peak visitor season, so it's completely understandable. The pass is free and easy to get online. The park staff checking passes are efficient and friendly (and probably tired of some people's attitudes - be kind, they're awesome people).
The first hike was on one of the more challenging ones, the Lake Viewpoint Trail, which lead to a view that was once grand but now is a bit overgrown and difficult to see the lake. Absolutely still worth the hike, let me tell you. Beautiful canopy covered trail, that snakes up and down a fairly steep mountainside. (First 5 photos are of this hike).
The second hike was a much more relaxed and long walk at the Lower Falls trail, which let to many stunning spots along the river. The wide gravel trail (watch your step for large rocks poking out!) is stroller and wagon friendly, so taking the tiny humans along is easy enough. Lots of large families going in and out. As the trail progresses it gets more narrow, but is still wide enough to drive a small car through (though seriously do not). The falls itself is quite beautiful with the potential to be mesmerizing to the senses.
(The last 10 photos are of this hike.)

This is a must see when visiting BC! The lake is breathtaking and looks like it belongs in a painting! This is our favourite morning stroll spot, we grab some Starbucks then spend the morning enjoying what Golden Ears has to offer. Really worth seeing. You will need a reservation to visit before 4 pm but spots free up and are easy to book using the online site.

Our experience of Aloutte Lake was overwhelming. The lake was so Beautiful and the whole area was serene. Just a heads up for those travelling by bus or taking a cab- there’s no bus servixe or cab service while going back unless you have hired a cab for full day. There’s no mobile network as well. We have been trying short walks with our dog. In Golden ears we have tried the Gold Creek Falls trail which is extremely accessible stroller not a problem. Our most recent was the trail around Mike Lake. On this trip it was after an entire day of steady rain. Clean clear water was flowing every where. There was one spot where the water accumulated and the paths available were limited and mostly swamped. Humans did OK. Dog required a bath. Of the 2 the Gold Creek trail was the most beautiful landscape and the Mike Lake the most like real hiking.

It was my first time camping. I went there with my friend who booked camp site . The grounds are big enough for 2 trucks although you have to pay. $12 for second one and we set up 6 tents large size with 3 canopy. Fire is still not allowed but you can use propane fire pit . The walk is very less to lake and views are splendid. Don’t leave food outside unattended . Don’t keep food inside tent at any time . They had flush toilet n clean water tap but night time it’s dark so really good to keep torch flashlight on you after sunset .

This is for the south beach and trail area. The waterfront lake here has many picnic benches that will fill up quickly during the warmer season. Come here early if you want to use one. A lot of park goers BBQ, play ball games, canoe or kayak and enjoy time with friends and family. There are plenty of parking that if the first set of parking space is unavailable, the second set will have your back. The trails in this area is quiet, legible and peaceful. In busy seasons, the washrooms can get full to the point where you have to wait in line or use the outhouses. There is a fountain right in front of the public washrooms for drinking water, not for cleaning activities.

Recently one of my top places to go camping or hiking. Most of the time is packed, and specially during weekends so you have to plan quite in advance, but once you make it you will be grateful, because it’s stunning out there!!

Huge provincial park with lots of trails, parking spaces, and camp sites. I went in mid February and although it was still a bit chilly, there were already some people out camping. The views are spectacular. Public washrooms are available as well as benches, picnic tables, and bear proof trash cans. It is a must visit place in the summer for those who love nature.

Golden Ears is one of the largest parks in BC spanning more than 150K acres and hosts a large number of hiking, cycling and horse riding trails. Each trail offers unique and beautiful sights of snow-capped mountains, lake, waterfalls, stream of snow melt water, lush green vegetation and beaches.
There are camping sites available here but you need to reserve them well in advance as they are very popular. The parking here is also quite limited and if you want to park near the entrance of trails, you need to get here early in the morning. As the day progresses, you may need to park by the roadside.
Do note that there is no phone reception here. So, plan your visit accordingly and download offline maps before heading to this park. That said, there's probably no better place near Vancouver to disconnect from everyday life and enjoy the bounty of natural beauty this park offers.

The hiking trails in this park are perfect for a good workout. The terrain is a mix of loose pebbles and packed earth and is fairly well maintained. The entire trail is well shaded and is a perfect place to escape the mid day sun.
I've done this trail 3 times now and only came across another group a couple of times, so if you dont like crowds, this is a good place to go.
I would definitely recommend this trail to others.

Lots of campgrounds and amazing experience for camping off the grid since no cellphone reception at the gold creek campgrounds. Sign for bear in area were up everywhere and so it's important to follow park rules and safely dispose garbage promptly. Loved the overall experience and the hot showers made sure we stayed clean through out our camping trip. Park doesn't have fire pits for rental so please bring your own Propane firepita during fireban.

I really enjoyed camping here. Nice to have such a great place so close to home. The spots are private. I appreciated how well patrolled it is. Each campground has its own beach area separate from the other campgrounds and day users

One of my favourites campsites, again freaking hard to get spot on weekends………. The place is always quiet and clean and the campground size just bigger enough for two tents ⛺️ and a tiny one for dog. I enjoyed the water in the lake even though it’s always cold 🥶. Shower is good, it’s warm not hot which I personally prefer hot shower…….only downside is you ain’t get no signal here , which is kinda good no phones no internet, just chills and enjoy camping.

Beautiful place with mountains and wide lake. Great for boating and picnicking! We saw lots of family gatherings. There is a boat launch on the west.

Couldn't get to north beach since the road is closed and I didn't want to walk extra, but south beach is still beautiful. Road is closed right after west canyon parking lot. You can still park at west canyon (Jan 26). Flush toilets are also closed for winter, but you can still use the pit toilets.

Clayburn Village Store is a charming attraction in Abbotsford, situated at the base of Sumas Mountain. Established in 1905, it was the first company town in British Columbia and offered various amenities to its employees. The village boasts several museums and cultural sites nearby. Visitors often stop by for a break during road trips and are delighted by the store's offerings. The shop provides an array of delicious treats, including homemade sausage rolls and nostalgic candies.
If you want candy or other great unique finds, this is the place to go! They have so many rare old candies and unique treats from back when we were kids. So much to look at being a heritage building, will definitely be back for ice cream when the weather gets warm.

Boy do I miss the "Tea Shop" portion but, it remains an absolute treasure! You'd be hard pressed to find a more magical candy shop. Plus, you can still buy their freshly frozen soups, awesome scones and sausage rolls and they have a great import selection as well. All 4 of my grown children have the best memories here.

A cozy store with country charm and rare finds. Enjoy a blast from the past with gourmet food and candy.
Located in historic Clayburn Village, this store has been serving the community since 1912. You will find a wide selection of gourmet food and candy, from local jams and honey to imported teas and chocolates.

I love this place. Purchased a large block of cheese. Can't say it was cheap. But so good. The ladies are wonderful. And the service is great. Try the home made soup and baked goods. Take your time and look over the candy and products you used to enjoy as a kid. Overall a wonderful experience. You won't regret.

Always a pleasure! Great old world feeling, as though you are an adventurer stopping for tea, cakes and a chat with the faerie who will send you on your journey. Not wheelchair accessible. No public washrooms. Just two things to keep in mind. But this shop is an absolute must on any trip.

Stopped here as a leg stretch before our road trip and this place did not disappoint. Family road trip, all of us adults, and we spent almost an hour perusing the delicious treats, reminiscing about candies from day of yore. My brother devoured one of their homemade sausage rolls (which he said was so good) and we picked up a bag full of sweet goodies to keep us entertained for the next week. Everyone in the store was really nice, helpful – and the place was well organized, fully stocked and neat as a pin. Great way to start our family vacation!

Fantastic place for frozen yogurt! Your choice of frozen fruit is mixed in with the yogurt and it is so tasty and refreshing. Strawberry, blackberry, blueberry, raspberry, peach, mango, and pineapple (potentially more, but these are the ones I remember). Highly recommend the strawberry or a blend of mango/pineapple.

The Cultus Lake Waterpark is a popular destination for families seeking water-based rides and activities. The park offers a variety of thrilling slides, spray areas, tubing, hot tubs and more that are sure to entertain kids of all ages. In addition to these attractions, the park also has attentive life guards and many onsite eateries.
Great place with tons of awesome slides, pools and spray areas. All kids of all ages love it here and everyone is happy all day. Attentive life guards. The only thing that really threw us for a loop was a self serve buffet bar for burger toppings. Not covid friendly in the least. So we ordered fries and chicken strips and left it at that!

Cultus Lake Waterpark is a fantastic place for families with kids, as my recent visit with my 6 and 11-year-olds proved. The park offers a wide array of water slides and attractions that kept my kids entertained for hours. From thrilling slides to the lazy river, there was something for everyone.
The only downside we experienced was the park's policy against bringing in our own BBQ. While we understand the need for safety and cleanliness, it would have been nice to have the option to cook our own food, especially for families with dietary restrictions or picky eaters. However, the park does have a variety of food options available for purchase, including snacks, drinks, and meals.
Overall, our experience at Cultus Lake Waterpark was fantastic. The kids had a blast, and we appreciated the park's commitment to safety and cleanliness. We would definitely recommend it to other families looking for a fun day out.
Pradip Ghimire — Google review
Really nice park and tons of attractions but absolutely not worth the price when attending with very young kids. There should be a lesser rate for toddlers and their parents.
Additionally, I was somewhat put off by the number of people wearing pants and long sleeve shirts on the slides and in all the pools. There just seemed to be more dirt, grass and floating debris in the pools, which I couldn’t help but think might be due to all of the fully clothed people, but I could be wrong.
Overall, I’ve had better experiences here in past years but maybe it was just an off day, the park has been kept up well with lots of new additions. Worth attending if you are okay with paying an arm and a leg.

Administration doesn’t care about its little visitors. My little daughter went off this slide and scraped her leg. Look where the child has to went off on this slide! A hard (like sandpaper) and uneven surface awaits the child below. Be careful!

My daughter likes this waterpark. We had a great day here.
Easy parking. Quick check in (We arrived 10.10 in the morning). $10 parking and $10 umbrella rent is acceptable. Great grass for rest with fresh air and great view. Grab&Go food is good.
Make sure you get everything you need before you leave your car. No return allowed.
One problem is it’s really overcrowded. We went there on Thursday. It’s beyond its capacity so that every slide has a very long line, especially in the afternoon.
Wei Sun — Google review
This park started in 1984. The facilities are in reasonable shape considering its age. There are slides/play areas tailored for each age/risk-tolerant group from toddler to seniors. Staffs are friendly and attentive to guests' safety. Bring your slippers with you when hitting the bathroom, which might be the one of the few weakness of the entire park. Hot tubes' sanitary might be the next. Park get crowded by 11am on a weekday in August, so can't imagine the busyness over weekends. Each ride's queue takes around 15 minutes. Scan the park to find the shortest line might save your some time. Portable tent is a must-have for hot days and for better privacy. Rental umbrella easily knocked down by wind. Cargo cart is prevailing in the park and essential if you carry lots of stuff with you, but the park thoughtfully offers a loading zone right in front of the entrance.

I have not been in this place for almost a decade! Went on a sunny day after a few days of camping. My family and friends and their kids had a blast here! The cabana we rented out is perfect for our big group. Love their tots are; great for my 14mos old, even for my almost 4yo kid as the water is warmer and very shallow. I should say that most of the rides are still there, from what i remember. The cabanas and shaded picnic tables are a big addition to this place. We will do one more trip before summer ends.
Pamela Esprit — Google review
The water park overall is very entertaining and has many attractions, however, even on weekdays the waiting time per each slide is around 30 minutes, there are also no large swimming pools for leisure swin.

Cultus Lake Waterpark is a splash hit for all ages! We went to the Waterpark on a Wednesday morning; it was overcast with light rain at the start and it was fantastic!
We arrived at 9:30 - about 30 min before it opened - and there were about 7 or 8 groups already in line. The queue area is covered and protects you from the rain or sun depending on the weather. The checkin process was quick with the longest being the bag and food check.
If you arrive early you can get a free covered picnic table to set your things out for the day. As the weather was crummy and we were there early there was no issue getting a spot.
The kids were able to have the run of the place for the first hour plus as it wasn’t too busy due to the weather and it being mid-week. There is a very wide selection of water slides to choose from, in size, twistiness, soakability, and scare factor; but regardless of which one you choose it is sure to be fun! The kid’s favourites were the Valley of Fear, Black Hole, and the Bazooka bowl! The slides are starting to show their age with some wear but it doesn’t detract from the fun.
The food is expensive and the quality is pretty meh. The best deal is obviously the ice cream with the portions being massive. You are probably fine getting a single as none of the kids could finish the double scoop they got.
Parking is $10 and you pay when you leave.
Overall Cultus Lake Waterpark is a great time, especially if you go on a rainy Wednesday! Otherwise I would definitely recommend buying your tickets in advance!!

Ridiculously poor. See photos.
Used diapers and trash in the parking lot should have served as a warning.
We arrived late and paid for reduced tickets at 1630. In the 2.5h we had, we managed 4 rides due to appalling queues and overcrowding.
We recognized this as soon as we were in the park and due to the long lines and horrifically long lines we immediately asked for a refund but we're declined because the staff onsite lack any authority to give one.
I first visited this place on the late 80s and had fond memories and was excited to bring me kids here. It looks like it's been left to rot since this time with flaky paint, stained slidesz rust, litter and more.
I'm fortunate enough to have visited many water parks in different countries inc. Austria, Spain and UAE. THIS WAS RHE WORST BY FAR.
Avoid it.
Greg Bullock — Google review
It's a damn good time....BUT....I kinda thought buying the tickets online would mean they limit entrance....nope...its frigging packed expect to wait 30 minutes at minimum for tube rides and 15 for body slides. One was over 45 min, and an hour by time you actually get out of the slide.
Lazy river was completely packed, same as pirate ship, kids pool/slides, you're tripping over people all day period.
The rules could use an update at canyon tube. 2 adults and 3 kids(450lbs maybe) can't go in a tube, but 4 250lbs adults can go just fine even though weight limit is 800lbs....don't make sense to me, rules are rules after all.
Overall it's fun, but do not expect to go anywhere fast.

Located an hour and 45 minute drive from Vancouver, the Othello Tunnels are a stunning hiking destination featuring railway tunnels carved through a granite mountain in the early 1900s. Though currently closed for renovations due to flood damage, this picturesque site is well worth the visit when it reopens. The surrounding drive offers beautiful scenery, including a stop in Chilliwack known for their locally produced honey.
We went here last fall season and there is not much people walking and there is a lot of parking space.
We also experience visiting this place in summer season and the parking lot is so full and need to wait to get a parking.
There is a washroom in the entrance of the trail.
Overall this trail park is good for kids and old people cause its flat.
Adette Balot — Google review
The park is closed for 2022. We went anyway. Absolutely no work had been done so far to repair the damage caused by a flood. It's mostly going to stay closed for quite a while.
It's beautiful, it's grandiose and it's scary. Loved it.
Sebastien Caron — Google review
Hoping that these reopen soon. During the floods in November 2021 they were badly damaged and there hasn't been an update since. Normally they are closed during the winter season so it will soon be 2 years that they are "temporarily closed".
Originally rail tunnels, you can walk from the Othello parking lot into Hope. GPS does fail when you are looking for these tunnels so keep an eye on the signs, don't trust just GPS. They also get super busy so the earlier in the day that you can go, the better. Especially since they got "Instagram worthy" status so most people will only walk to the last tunnel then turn around but there are a few hikes past them, one has a historic marker that goes up and over the mountain.
Female Abroad — Google review
By far one of the best places to see around Vancouver. It's an hour and 45 mins drive from our place but it's absolutely worth it. It's sad to see the destruction caused by the floods. I believe it's currently closed because it's getting some renovations done and it won't be opening any time soon but can't recommend it enough whenever it opens back up. One of the most beautiful places to see around Vancouver and the drive is great as well. You can stop by in Chilliwack on the way to pick up some honey, they are famous for it.

What a great place to get out and stretch my legs after getting off the island. Parking was a bit touch and go but I was able to get a sweet spot up front. The walk to the tunnels was pretty flat so most people should be able to do it. Just happened to be a beautiful day so the water looked this amazingly blue/green color. Walking over the bridges and checking out the water down below was breathtaking. Highly recommended for all ages and worth the visit. I will be back again on my next pass through..

It was my first best experience. We went to tunnel from kettle valley side which is a long walk until you reach the tunnel but with mesmerizing views n forest walk. Once you reach the tunnel you will see the gates closed but all the people including us trespassed through gate and from that point best part start. It’s 4 tunnels in total with great view at the end n between the tunnels. Make sure to carry torch as tunnels are dark although flashlight will work too but torches will be best. They r open go visit before rain I was there on may 1, 2022

Very interesting place to explore on a weekend. Bring your kids and enjoy the walk in tunnels
You will see lots of scenic views.
It is about 30 minutes walk to get to end of 4 tunnels including photo shooting stops.
Tunnels are constructed in early 1900 for Pacific train. The last tunnel shows 1951 on concrete.
Pro tip is to get to the River and place your bare foot and relax.
Parking lot is not good at all and obviously not enough for the demand. Most probably you will end up to park your car on road side like everyone else. It should be about 6-7 minutes walk to the park gate

Beautiful place to have a little walk through incredibly beautiful Rocky Tunnels. There is a gorgeous river running under the bridges that conform the tunnel. To be fair the pictures make no justice to what you will live there.

There are washrooms available. The staff is very courteous. It took us 2hrs to reach Hells Gate from Vancouver. We went on a sunday and it was not all that busy. It closes for the season in 1st week of October and will reopen in May.

While the location is amazing, I want to give a shout out to the staff. Yesterday saw a power outage that shut down the attraction with us at the bottom of the tram. When it first went out, an employee actually dug into her purse and paid for my bottle of water. Says a lot of the character of employees they hire as I can’t see it being a lucrative job. As it became apparent it wasn’t to be a short outage, the team went into their action plan on lowering the stranded trams and ensuring customer comfort. I learned a fair bit about the safety and maintenance that goes on a daily basis there and left with full confidence on how this place is run. Shuttles were sent down to pick up customers to return them to the top and good thing as I’d probably die if I had to hike it.😅
The only disappointment was the power killing the opportunity to get shirts from the gift shop but that’s the price we pay for not carrying cash. So in short to all the staff there, you guys are amazing!!

Such a beautiful park in the core of Kamloops. There is even an off leash dog park by the river. The trail winds all along the river. It’s a beautiful walk and, for us, a perfect time of year.

I love this park. It is very easy to access and a place to see year around. They have construction going on right now so some of the areas are not accessible but hopefully they are all done my next summer.

The park is very beautiful. The children's playground and facilities are amazing. The game types are unique and fun. Unlike other places, I was surprised by the disciplined behavior of the children. What saddened me the most in this place was that I saw adults smoking cigarettes irresponsibly among many children. It is appropriate for the park staff to follow up and stop such behavior. Apart from this, the management and cleanliness of the park is also unique.

Thoroughly enjoyed this park. My wife and I were staying at the Delta hotel downtown and it was a short walk to this park. It was a hot day and we came here at about 10 pm for a nice walk around the park. There are washroom facilities available here. There is a spray park, riverside beach, walking trails, playground and tennis courts. If you’re looking for a great park in Kamloops this is the place for you.

A beautiful and expansive park along the river in downtown Kamloops. Lots of open green spaces, big play structures for the kids, and other sports facilities. A great place for a picnic or to daydream away an afternoon. Worth a visit!

I highly recommend Riverside Park as a fantastic place to visit. The incredible river view is absolutely breathtaking, providing a serene and picturesque atmosphere. The park also offers live music, which adds a vibrant and lively ambience to the surroundings. Moreover, the water games are a source of endless entertainment, with people of all ages joyfully splashing around and having a great time. Riverside Park truly captures the essence of fun and relaxation, making it the perfect destination for anyone seeking a memorable outdoor experience.

I was on my way back from Revelstoke and found this park near the beach. This park is recommended for everyone. There are picnic tables, a playground for the kids and you can go out swimming too but there are limits on how far you can go. It's also close to nice restaurants so you don't have to far to find something to eat.

I am not a localite and dont mean to be rude but it's an average park. Nothing great. Quite simple but peaceful. They also have a play area for kids. If you are not from Kamloops, then it's OK even if you don't visit. You are not missing out on something.

Went for a ‘Music in the Park’ free concert. However the wildfire smoke was getting thick, so we left early, as did others.
Very nice stage/venue for concerts & thanks to local sponsorship we understand these concerts are held regularly.

A shining example of a modern playground: rope structures, swings, rubberized ground, zip lines and musical instruments. Where this playground excels is the accessible features which include teeter totters, a merry-go-round and swings/zip line! Also, the splash park is single handedly the best splash park I've ever been to.

We had a quick stop on our way to Vancouver for a picnic and we were impressed with the park. Lots of parking, picnic bench, walk way, washrooms. Kids had a lot of fun and we enjoyed our meal. If you are around this area you should visit. Check out the video & images. Follow for more.

Beautiful wooded park with massive trees and a walkway near the meeting of 2 rivers, the Thompson North and South. You can actually see where the rivers meet due to the different colors of the rivers water. Beautiful flowers and lots of benches along the rivers edge!
The BC Wildlife Park is a vast animal rehabilitation and zoo facility that houses various animals indigenous to the area, such as arctic wolves and grizzly bears. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of Kamloops Lake, go bird watching or hiking in Salmon Arm. The wildlife park also features an impressive Wild Lights display showcasing illuminated dragons, arches and dinosaurs. Don't miss the train journey for just one dollar, where you might wonder how Santa and his reindeers stay atop the mountain.
I absolutely adore this park! The staff always radiate happiness and extend a warm welcome to visitors. The entire facility is meticulously maintained, ensuring a clean and pleasant environment. As for the animals, they appear genuinely content within their enclosures. The park's commitment to enrichment and providing cozy hiding spots truly stands out.
One of my favorite experiences is attending the delightful bird shows . The petting zoo boasts an impressive variety of animals, making it a must-visit.
But here's the real gem: the Christmas Light Up event. It's nothing short of remarkable! As a Kamloops resident, I find myself returning to this magical place at least once a month. It's simply that good!

I went here only for the wild lights and it was quite amazing to experience. Got some of my favorite pictures and could see very few animals. Beautiful train journey though. Always keep one dollar for the train. Wondered how they kept the Santa and reindeers on top of the mountain. Loved the detailing in that also to include Rudolph the RED NOSE REINDEER. Illuminated dragon was really good so was the arch and dinosaurs. Overall a great experience.

Good way to kill a day with the little ones. Bunch of different rescue animals to check out. Even got a train that does a couple loops of the park. Worst part was a cheeseburger I ordered that I'm pretty sure wasn't meat(it was grey and slimy and tasted like freezer burnt cardboard) It inevitably found its way to the garbage after 2 bites. So if you eat at the Cafe order the wraps and not the burgers.

Loved it, it was a really fun experience! Each animal exhibit had lots of interesting information about that animal, the train ride was super fun, the park was really clean, and the gift shop had lots of cool things (I bought several items)! Loved spending the day here, I would visit again!

We always have a great time. Recommend getting there early, opens at 930.
We absolutely love seeing the birds of prey, and the grizzlies are always putting on a show. The kids love the park and the sprinkler park. Bring a blanket and picnic and set up on the big grassy lawn!
We also go every year around New Years for the Wild lights display

The admission was decent and they had a lot of different animals. Still was a bit disappointed to not being able to see the polar bears. I really liked the three legged Canadian Lynx they have here. Most of the cages are quite large and allow ample space to see the animal, specially the further in you go where they have the herbivores.

Great variety of rescued animals
Didn't get to see some animals as they were sleeping which is understandable.
Commendable rescue work!
Too many animals to list! Grizzly bear and cougar are there!

Really cool place! All the animals are rescues or rehabs. Seems the habitats are a little overgrown but we still saw the grizzlies, the kermodes bears, cougar, wolves, fox, elk, rams, mountain goats and so much more in the 1.5 hr we were there. Go early to beat the heat!

Wonderful little “zoo”. It’s great to see all the animals they rescue and give a second chance to. Fun little maze and train ride

I haven't been to something like this since I was 9 in Saskatoon at the zoo there.
This was really cool and I had a lot of fun coming here for the Easter event back in April. So many cool animals and the little train was fun.
The guy who carved the stone bear was really fun to talk to.

Always a fantastic experience at the Wild Animal Park. The staff are very friendly, the facilities are amazing, and we always enjoy viewing the many animals at the park. Always an educational and enjoyable experience and every single visit offers something just a little bit different! ... Gets better every time we visit! The Grizzlies were very active today and Uncle Chris the Clown seems to have become a regular at the park and the kids love taking a break and enjoying his antics! ... ... Wild Lights are also fantastic! Highly recommend an evening walk through the park!

Great place for kids and everyone to learn about the wildlife animals. Our kids loved all the exhibits. Since we were here on a hot August day, many of the animals were not out and visible. However, we did get to see the grizzlies which was most exciting for the kids. As well as the train ride, which was only $1 per ticket (bring cash).
Nice playground area for the kids. Lots of picnic tables in shaded areas. Friendly and helpful staff. Animals are well taken care of.

It’s a great wildlife zoo, very educational for kids and everyone to learn things about wildlife animals. During the time we went I guess was a bit too hot so some of animals hide inside, however we did see lots of animals. Make sure to get on the train for a quick tour it’s only a buck per person, what a deal. Overall, it’s a place you should visit if you are nearby the area.

Worthwhile. This is great for adults and children alike with a lot of interesting information available on many animals.
Got to see Clover the Spirit Bear, which was great, but also many other beautiful creatures living their lives in what appeared to be very nice, well-maintained and thoughtful conditions

Its natural content makes the environment beautiful and attractive. The wildlife sanctuary contains a variety of animals. Anyone visiting Kamloops should check this place out. There is ample parking space on site. It contains bears, wolves, eagles, foxes and other animals. It also has a playground for children. The employees are humble and sincere.

Davison Orchards Country Village is a local farm and tourist attraction in Vernon offering orchard tours on a tractor-drawn train, apple picking, a kids' play zone, gift shop and cafe. The place is known for its excellent views of the surrounding area, but some consider it overpriced due to its local status. However, it supports the community and offers delicious treats like coffee screamers and strawberry vanilla ice cream.
Being here again after 6 years, still great place to be
So many homegrown and homemade stuff
I wish we had something similar at home
Huge playground with so many different things to do and play
Different animals to feed
What they can do well as well, making money out of everything, very thought through
The tractor ride is nice, but not really for kids until 10

If you visit the area you have to stop at the Orchards Country. It's not a tourist trap like I thought. We visited in October so there weren't too many people. The kids enjoyed the farm and the animals. The entrance is free and you can buy many local products. Of course I recommend the apple pie and the apple juice.

I love this place so so much. It’s like when you go to the farm as a kid and have that pure feeling of joy? Well, this is it, I have never been happier to see a goat and go apple picking. Amazing staff, beautiful property, delicious food. 10000% recommended.
Note: You MUST take the tractor tour around the orchard, trust me, it will become one of those fluffy, happy place memories.
Laura Elena — Google review
Visited here during the Labour day weekend and although it was busy, there was plenty of parking. This place is very kid-friendly as it had cute farm animals and a little playground, and even though I do not have children - I still had so much fun!
I stocked up on quality produce from the packing shed to bring back home with me such as zucchini, tomatoes, spaghetti squash, and peaches, which were all fairly priced. I also purchased some kettle corn and carrot cake which were not overly sweet like many places. My boyfriend & I ate lunch here - we got a grilled cheese sandwich and wrap, which was delicious. I loved that these items came with sides like pickles and salsa with chips! Additionally, I liked how there was a homemade ice cream shop on site but I was too full and didn’t get to try it unfortunately.
In my opinion, the gift shop was a bit overpriced - but then again, I haven’t been to a gift shop anywhere that was at a decent price point lol. I would definitely come here again if I am ever back in Vernon.

A wonderful place to visit, no matter if it's just yourself, you & your partner, or have the whole family! Coming from Vancouver after 27 years, it was so refreshing to experience a slower paced, fun, beautiful farm once again. The caramel apple pie & apple juice I had was to die for! The staff are very knowledgable and friendly. I'd much rather support this local, family owned business vs. a corporation any day. If you haven't been here yet, or are looking for a reason to go, this is it!!!

Davison Orchard offers excellent views of Vernon. Some may say everything is overpriced here, but that's because it is a local farm and tourist attraction. Support local, man. we had a coffee screamer and strawberry vanilla ice cream come. Both were delicious.
Kids seem to love it here with the goats, multiple playgrounds, oversized chairs, and the fake jail cell.
People love buying corn here and pies.
They also have their own pumpkin patch in fall.
It's really really busy here on weekends, especially late spring and early summer.
We came here Tuesday afternoon and it's super peaceful. That's where it's at.

It’s a great place! They have the best u-pick apples. We have visited it many times. Animals, playground, apple pie, apple slush, and ice cream are always great over there! You can visit it in different months. And, they have u-pick pumpkins. And, do not forget to try their apple juice. 2023 update: I stopped here for an apple slush on my way back. So nice to have it while the weather is hot. The apple juice is great.
Kun Z — Google review
We really love this place! The premises are always very clean and well taken care of. The produce here is fresh and yummy, and their apple juice is certainly one of a kind.
I am deducting a star because of two things:
1. The treats you get out of their little machines for 25 cents has reduced in almost half! Just a year ago, you got a hand full of treats that you could feed to their goats, sheep, pigs and so on. Now, you get only a few out, it barely fills my toddler's hand!
2. No more train passes. They used to sell passes for their tractor trains that were affordable and LOTS of fun. We used to come here at least once a week to get a train ride, buy produce and hang out on their playgrounds. It's gotten very expensive to ride their tractor trains and they offer no more passes which usually locals would be to come back more often so I think it's a move that takes away from locals, who probably are the biggest source of income for them.
Other than everything being very expensive here (an ice cream scoop for $7!!!) they do have lots of free attractions for kids and my son loves going here, and loves their apple juice. We'll be back this summer for sure, and we're very grateful they offer such a cute farm experience to their community!
Their playgrounds are so much fun, and they even have toys in their sandboxes for kids to play with.
From the time they open until the day they close, we visit at least twice a month.
I hope they will offer train passes again.

We really enjoyed our visit here. Very family friendly and so many fun things to do for kids. The orchard has plenty of offerings with food and treats. The tractor ride orchard tour is a must. Our guide was quite entertaining, and educated us a lot about farming fruit trees. We even saw the owners riding tractors in the farm. They have a petting area and a barn themed playground which were immensely enjoyed by kids. A must visit in Vernon.

Fantastic place to "bee" in Vernon! They have a small interpretive center, a decent sized store with lots of bee products, and a wine/mead tasting corner.
One of the amazing things at this location is that you can actually sample so many different kinds of honey. This makes it super easy when you want to buy a specific kind of honey!
The staff at this location is super friendly and helpful!

The tour visit to a bee farm is an interesting place to learn. The speaker precisely explained what to know about the bees, the different kinds of bees and the role they play especially the Queen Bee to the colony including the complete process of creating honey.
The different kinds of honey produced depends on the kinds of flowers gathered by the bees. The speaker further discusses the products they are selling as by-products of the bee pollination. I was hopeful to see at least a bee colony but none.

Beautiful spot, SO MANY BIRDS! I think we counted over 15 herons😮 water was low for this time of year and the wildlife was loving it. Nice short walk, cool to see the water levels from years past. I can imagine this place would get busy in certain parts of the year.

Really nice place to walk down to the water. There is a little shop at the end. You can see various birds here too. Probably a 10 minute walk back and forth. Water is a bit dirty. There is a dock at the end as well. Careful not to drop your keys or phone through the slots in the boardwalk!

This Canadian beauty is a bit off the highway but very well worth the detour from your trans Canadian drive through the national Park. I'm told in the summer the water is full all the way closer to the main area but even now it's a lot beautiful (fall) with green grass and flowers. Take a walk through the wood bridge towards the jettison and also the park close to the parking area. Bring friends and family or a date. Enjoy the flowers and a sandwich.

This place is free. Therefore I can't really give this a bad review based on that. Plus, I have seen some pretty cool wildlife on this walk so this is a 5 star. Seeing the Osprey catch fish out of the water was a real treat especially if you are a bird watcher or photographer. You will find turtles and fish along with an assortment of birds. Very interesting place to visit with the whole family. The kids would love it as well as adults. The goat coming to take food is such a cute and interesting thing to watch. 25 cent coins are required to buy food for the goat...keep at least 5-6 25 cent coins because with one coin the food quantity will be very less. All will love this experience. The log barn market is huge with lot of organic stuff. It's worth a visit. We didn't know of this place and stopped by chance on our way and were so pleasantly surprised to visit it.

You must stop here if you are young or old. The goat bridge alone is worth the stop, watching the goat work the pulleys to pull up his food is awesome. Staff is aloof but the place is great you can make it amazing for yourself. I would give it a five star if my interactions with staff was better I feel like if your white its better as my experience has not changed in the 5 plus years... but my white husband has a better experience with staff...I sure hope that isn't the case. They just seem like they want to hide in the corner and not speak to people. One year there was a nice man with the sausage and sauces tasting. The girl at the till was friendly this time but last year nope. The lady at the ice cream hated life. Atleast my kid begs to stop here so for now food and ambience and and decor and animals is going for you. You just have to get your staff to love their jobs and have fun.

We have visited here often over the years with the kids and still as adults
Loved it in the past
However now it seems a bit run down and tacky to be honest.
I don’t know maybe because near season end but needs a paint stain job and the gift area is tiny now compared to previous visits and the pop and ice cream we bought was old and not good.
Toilets were nasty too.
They really need to loose the tacky dragons everywhere and go back to the animal theme perhaps but I guess very young kids love it that way.
No fall decor not a single pumpkin in sight
Great scenery and hopefully just a glitch because we usually love it

Always a favorite stop on road trips. Great gift shop and produce/fruit/local market stop. Delicious fresh BC fruit at good prices.
Love the goats and being able to feed them. Shout out to the two alpacas in with the goats. And that adorable lone sheep who loves the snacks you can buy and feed them. There's an eleborate bridge/ramp jungle gym for the littler goats. You can use the corn bubble gum machine at the bottom and place it in a little cup, a goat uses its mouth on a wheel on the ramp above to activate a pulley and bring the corn treats to them. Super fun to watch.

Super mountain for skiing and boarding. They have a gondola which is a God send on those cold windy days. They also have a 6 person high speed chair which is great when you’re with a large group. The fun doesn’t stop there… there’s a wicked tube park and a skating pond. They have a Zamboni to smooth the ice! World class! There’s an eatery in the village where you don’t need to be vaccinated to buy food. You can even sit down.

Amazing, colourful, family friendly hill with something for everyone! Green runs for beginners, double blacks on the backside, skating on a frozen pond with a island in the middle, tube town with a magic carpet - was just up for Christmas and New Years, what a magical experience with holiday activities in a winter wonderland! It snowed every day! Also loved the frequent shuttle for our little people with little legs.

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the customer service policies here. While I understand that refunds due to weather conditions may not be possible, I encountered an entirely different issue that left me extremely disappointed.
After patiently waiting in line for a staggering two hours for the lift to re-open, my party and I were denied access to the lift simply because we were not racers. This information was only communicated to us when we reached the front of the line, leaving us frustrated and confused.
To further compound our disappointment, when we approached the desk to express our concerns, we were informed that this rule had been implemented a mere two minutes after we purchased our day passes. This lack of transparency and the failure to notify us in a timely manner is highly unprofessional.
Despite these circumstances, we were not offered any form of monetary reimbursement for the tickets we had purchased. This lack of compensation for our wasted time and inability to enjoy the park is deeply unsatisfactory.
I strongly urge you to reevaluate your customer service policies. Clear communication and fair treatment of customers should be a priority. It is essential that steps are taken to rectify this situation and ensure that other riders do not encounter similar disappointments in the future.

We camped. But camping is in the ski-hill parking lot. No trees etc.We did have electrical though which was nice. Perfect access to the site with shops restaurant s etc. Full shower access at the gym. And pit privies in the parking lot. We hiked the ski hills...awesome and of light to moderate difficulty.

It was a great day hiking out at silverstar. I loved the electric avenue trail, absolutely stunning foliage despite the views being hindered by smoke. My one criticism would be that the map showed a connection to the cross-mountain trail to get back to the village, but this connection was not clearly marked for hikers. I ended up accidentally taking the service road back down to the chair lift. Would've loved to keep trekking onto a new trail instead of backtracking!

Came here on Friday March 15 2024 when I had a day off work. It was just what I needed. Blue bird day, perfect weather and nice skiing. What I like about Silver Star is the resort has still been able to maintain that family atmosphere vibe. The village has character, and the views at the top of the hill are amazing. Decided to take a tour of the mountain, and Sean was the host for the group I was in. He was knowledgeable, personable, entertaining, and funny. If Silver Star had an employee of the month award, Sean would get my vote. It was an awesome day

A beautiful and sunny Valentine's Sunday. Not too crowded and the snow was pretty good considering no fresh powder for a while. Long John's was great food and service and tube town was a hoot. So many great activities.

One of Canada’s best all-around ski resorts. Features a wide variety of runs for the beginner, intermediate and advanced skier. In addition has access to excellent cross country and snow shoeing trails. On hill accommodation choices offer mostly ski in/ski out options. A grocery store(with beer, wine and liquor selection) bakery, full ski gear store, cross country ski gear store, and several clothing stores are complimented by a number of excellent restaurants.

This resort is the epitome of chill. Every staff in shops and restaurants were relaxed and friendly. We loved the small resort vibe. I wanted to live there.
We didn't stay overnight but hope to do so this winter for skiing. Will rate accommodations then.

We took skiing lessons and were paired with Hamish as our instructor! What an amazing guy. Hamish was patient and very soft spoken as well. Hamish kept helping us again and again because of which we didn’t feel like we were slowing down others in our group (even though we were). Hamish, you made our experience and training worth while. Thank you for the pleasant experience. :)

I have been fortunate enough to spend the majority of the season in SilverStar this year. As always, it is a fantastic resort with all different levels of terrain, beautiful views, and a lovely group of people working there. I can’t say enough about this magical place. A true hidden gem.

Such a great little resort in the high elevation. It’s cooler in summer for recreating and the winters are magic with great fun skiing, snowshoeing, fat biking and Nordic trails. The small village offers a quaint vibe to enjoy. It’s not crowded and the snow is like champagne powder.

Camped up here for the first time this year.
Despite the more "parking lot" style of camping. The camp ground was quiet and peaceful the grounds keepers were always near by to answer questions and of course prime location to get to the lifts.
Ss is always a great time but camping here really brought it up a notch in my books.

Fun place for the family. Pet friendly, tasty restaurants and bakery. Cute lil shops. Friendly people running the shops and market. Definitely recommend bringing yourself or the family. Lots of nice trails for walking and biking. Great view. We got lucky and even got to see a thunder storm. Lots of lil critters to watch frolic, beautiful wild flowers everywhere. Very quiet, peaceful, Lots of local talent being shown off too.

One of the best ski resort in BC. We visited here 2-3times a year. Today(Jan 14), only gondola and silver queen chair are open(no discount on lift tickets). In the same weather conditions, Sun Peaks and Big White are fully operating. It is such a waste of money and time. I was here in Dec 2021 with colder temperatures and the mountain was fully open.

Beautiful location. Skating and tube town is fun for a bit. The ice is really rough - watch out for the big cracks.
Don't bother with trying to buy tickets through their site: It is PAINFULL and wouldn't accept a gift card. After 15/20 minutes I just went in to the rentals building and got them in 1 minute

Our family has had the privilege of visiting SilverStar Mountain Resort on four separate occasions. Coming here has become cherished family tradition! From the very first moment we arrived, the warmth and brilliance of the staff creating an atmosphere that felt more like coming home than simply a vacation.
The brilliance of SilverStar extends far beyond its picturesque scenery and snowy powder slopes. From the servers who bring warmth to the restaurants to the lift attendants ensuring smooth transitions, and the ski instructors who turn every lesson into a memorable experience, the staff at SilverStar elevates the entire stay to a new level.
For anyone considering a visit, I wholeheartedly recommend making SilverStar your winter destination.

D Dutchmen Dairy Ltd is a long-standing establishment that has been offering handmade dairy products since 1978. Founded by Chris and Nellie Dewitt, the dairy continues to be operated by the Dewitt family. Known for its high-quality ingredients, the small family-owned farm in Sicamous produces fresh milk, ice cream, and cheese on-site. The dairy's products are popular among both locals and tourists, with many visitors returning for generations.
Creamiest ice cream and friendliest cows ever!! Staff were also lovely. I would definitely recommend passing by if you’re in salmon arm, especially if you have kids!

Was nice place to visit quiet and good service.
We bought a large pail of tiger tiger ice-cream sadly is was lacking the licorice in the tiger tiger so that was kind of disappointing for the price i expected better 😕 It appeared on the outside of the container it was mixed in nicely but when we opened it the middle had no licorice. Also we noticed the ice cream wasn't nearly as creamy as it used to be, it was almost more grainy and had a weird texture.
It used to be great years ago not sure if they changed the receipe but more licorice in there would make it great again.

Stopped there because of a recommendation of a friend. Didn’t NOT like the ice cream!! Icy , too sweet, not creamy , the flavours did not impress. Oh ! If you want a plastic spoon it’s 25 cents extra 🤯
But liked their cream and milk we got .

Super busy but worth the wait!
We stopped by for some ice cream and we waited in line for about 5-10 minutes. They have a small truck outside that serves ice cream as well but by the time we realized it, we were already at the front of the line inside. The ice cream was delicious and my only complaint for the Peaches and Cream flavour was that it needed more chunks of peaches. Otherwise, the ice cream was great and the staff were working as fast as possible but maintained great service.
It was great stop and nearby was the fruit market across the street. We’ll definitely return in the future.

A short lineup on a hot day and we were in. Big selection of ice creams and a cool dairy farm feel to the shop. Service was friendly and the temptation to try a triple cone was strong as I may not pass this way again soon. Tried the chocolate chili, peaches and cream and strawberry shortcake on top. The tastes were good, but lacked the intensity and creaminess in the fruit, and lacked the chocolate taste in the chocolate chili - but the chili really packed a punch, overpowering the chocolate. Three stars for the icecream and an extra star for the shop and staff.

Not worth the hype in my opinion.
Grumpy ice cream lady, no tiny spoon samples,
kids ice cream almost same price as one scoop, extra for a cup. Kids liked the sandy play area, but it was so hot the smells were unpleasent, cars zoomed down the road its on almost hitting my kid.
Plus side. Open public bathroom.

The service was good and efficient but the ice cream was not our favourite. We also grabbed a pack of cheese curds and it was ok, again not our favourite. We are driving to Vancouver Island and back and getting ice cream everywhere we can, we will pass on this place next time. There are barns to walk around and look at the different beautiful birds that the kids will love to do.

We came here around 10 am on a week day and we’re able to beat the crowds. By the time we left it was getting pretty crazy though. Despite a lot of reviews saying the ice cream wasn’t very good, the carmel cheesecake was delicious when I tried it and super creamy.
If you leave here without chocolate milk you’re a fool because it’s amazing.
The calves were super cute and really fun to walk around and check out the farm.

Ice cream is reliable, good, but not outstanding in any way. The double dutch chocolate flavour tastes great!
After so many years, it's about time they make it more accessible and easier to navigate, given that there's always heavy traffic and lines to get ice cream.
Otherwise, a great roadside ice cream place with friendly cows, a symbol of Sicamous.

Family owned and operated by the DeWitt family since 1978 D Dutchmen Dairy is certainly a destination location! It’s Canada’s first 100% grass fed registered dairy farm, hailed as “BC’s Best Ice Cream” by the Vancouver Sun and it features only old fashioned hand made dairy products. It’s famous, quaint, nostalgic and most importantly all homemade- ice cream, specialty artisan cheeses, milk, plus they have great Dutch imports.
No matter time of year or weather we have to stop here! 🧀🥛🍦🐮 🇳🇱

The Dutchmen Dairy produces 62 different flavors of our artisan ice cream on location at D Dutchmen Dairy. Here, 40 of the Flavours are available in 1Litres, 2Litres, and 4Litres tubs.
I had their Turtle Cheesecake of one scoop, and it cost me around 5.25 CAD. They also sell two scoops and three scoops, but to me, it was tough to finish one scoop, and I suggest ordering a single one as the quantity of one scoop is huge. The base of the Turtle cheesecake ice cream is often a thick, rich ice cream that tastes similar to cheesecake. Most of the time, cream, sugar, cream cheese, and sometimes vanilla flavoring are used to make this ice cream base.

The ice cream was okay, it wasn't bad, but nothing special. Definitely not worth the detour we took just to visit the shop. The service was very poor, the women who served the ice cream were extremely grumpy and rude, it seemed like they wanted to be literally any place else than their ice cream shop, and they felt the need to make that clear to all the customers. In that sense, I guess it made it more of an authentic Dutch experience ;), It was possible to visit the cows, but I wish i didn't. There were way too many cows standing inside a barn that was way too small. The calves were seprated and locked up in cages so small they could barely turn around.

nice spot to give a quick visit to see the farm animals. It was cool to see cows up-close; including the cattle! There's also a variety of chickens to look at.
Also there's a cute little tractor playground that kids can go to and explore. We didn't actually go inside to buy ice cream but it looked really busy when we came to visit during the summer.

Got three delicious ice creams. what a large amount of ice cream for that price, really great. and yes, as a Dutch person you should visit a company with a Dutch owner
Very hospitable that you can also look around the farm freely
Fairy tale–themed buildings & storybook characters abound at this kids' attraction set in the woods.
Brought our 2 and 4yo and parents to the park, and everyone loved it. I had gone quite a few years ago and back then it was in great need of repair and new paint jobs so thankfully since then they've refreshed everything and it was all brightly coloured and everyone had so much fun. Many of the houses adults can get into as well and some have multiple levels.
What you can expect is a fun interactive loop in a lush forest, with fairytale creatures and houses throughout. There are multiple restrooms throughout and there's a spot at the end with picnic tables. It's a great way to tucker the kiddos out! Looking forward to visiting again.

This was a great spot to break our journey and stretch our legs. The sculptures were....interesting. some were cute and some were a little creepy. The nature walk was great...we saw a few salmon. It took us about 30 mins. The sign said it would take 30mins to 1hr 20 mins. The sign did indicate you could do it with a stroller but I would not recommend taking a stroller through

It wouldn’t be an enchanted road trip in Canada without a stop at the Enchanted Forest!
In the months leading up to our trip, we made a list of things we would like to do. Our Canadian guide (my cousin’s wife) knew the route and mentioned many things to do along the way. The Enchanted Forest was one of the things we jotted down. Fast forward to us on the road and driving west; timing ended up working out great for us as we passed by Revelstoke during the afternoon. With that to our advantage, we pulled over to check out The Enchanted Forest.
Going in, I had no idea what to expect. Thoughts of fancy forests with fog and unicorns are what sprang to mind. A forest dedicated to fairy tales is not what I imagined. But that’s what the Enchanted Forest is. One dedicated to all those fairy tales we all hear as kids.
Parking was a bit of a pain as the lot was smaller and we stopped by during the peak tourist season, but we eventually found a place and headed in. Entry was around $12 or so but since it’s been awhile, please check their website for an accurate price. We all paid, grabbed maps and headed in.
As we paid and headed in, I couldn’t think that this was an actual place. It seemed like a fairy tale in of itself. A random forest dedicated to fairy tales and the like. But every step of the way just kept up that initial surprise. Every path and every turn lead to a small set up dedicated to some tale or some folk lore. Some I recognized, some I didn’t. Here and there, you would find poems or excerpts from the origins of what the displays were based on. That helped figure out where and what certain displays were.
Walking around, you can head whichever way you want and spend time with the displays, taking fun photos with most of them. You can’t interact with them for the most part, aside from the ones that are made to be touched. I remember there being a tree house kids could play in. I remember there being a big bunny chair you could sit in. There was a shoe house small kids could explore. The house that Goldilocks commits Breaking and Entering in is now a real place. Even if you aren’t a fan of tales and lore, this place is something to experience just for the sake of it is unique and unlike anything else I’ve experienced in my years of traveling. Also, the forests of Canada are a beauty of their own. You can browse the photos supplied below but you’d really need to see a video of it to get a good feel for the place.
About the only negative I would have to say about this place is that the age/quality of some of the sculptures are lacking. Some have that homemade look, which has a charm of it’s own but at the same time, weren’t crafted the best. Some of the other things looked like they needed a fresh coat of paint or some touch ups. I assume the forest vegetation/biome isn’t the greatest for these kinds of things. With that negative in mind, I am not docking this place for it as I think that it is also part of the charm in a weird way. It’s like you are seeing a labor of someone’s love brought to life.
Kids who grew up reading would love this place. Adults who grew up with these stories would also love this place. It’s like seeing a story adapted in to a movie. Those words and mental images brought to life.

Glad I visited on my own as this place had me feeling nostalgic. It was like seeing all the fairy tales and nursery rhymes from my youth come to life. Definitely worth the drive to get there.
The only downside is there's not much else in the area to do afterward. It's sort of a "stop on the way to" type of destination. Still beautiful and enchanting. There's a ton more to see than the pics I'm sharing
Giovanna H — Google review
So much better than expected! My husband and I wanted to take my step son here. We watched some videos online so didn’t have high hopes for the walk through the forest but we’re pleasantly surprised. A lot of the buildings you could go into (more for kids but I was small enough that I could go in some too 😂) and then at the end we did the nature walk. I think it took us around 20 minutes and we really liked it. Gave us something fun to do. At the end you can feed the fish and my step son really liked that since they all came up super quick to try and grab the food. Was also quite dead so we picked a good day to go haha.

Did this in pouring rain and I was still completely entertained. The figurines are incredibly cute, witty and well done. There's a ton of stuff to see and the place is huge! We didn't do the nature walk as we were pretty wet. There's also a tree parkour kind of thing that's perfect for kids. Actually everything here was great for kids. Lots of mini houses they could go in and visit.
I don't usually get anything in gift shops but this place totally kept my child at heart alive that I had to encourage them in some other way than just the entrance fee (which is dirt cheap considering all there is to see!). You could easily spend 2-3h here if you have kids that want to visit all the tree houses and play in the humongous playground they have set up for them! Highly highly recommended.

I drove by this place so many times without stopping, and then we decided we had to do it. Words can barely describe how amazing this is. Yes, some things are cheesy. But it's all hand made, and they have a resounding amount of charm.
This is something that photos do no justice to. Bring your family. Stop on your own. Build memories that your family will talk about for years.

My 8yo and 6yo were so excited to go in to lots of small houses that they know well from fairy tale.

Enchanted! It was amazing to see the crazy amount of work that was put in to all the sculptures. A wife and husband bought the land and decided to make it an enchanted forrest walk. Everything is hand made and with great attention to detail. The only thing is it is a little expensive for the 1 hour long walk that only takes that long because of the waits at all the sculptures. Worth the one time through and absolutely beautiful. Kids love the fantasy setting! There was a staff member who was cleaning the dungeon area in the basement that was cleaning the dragon pen, and my child asked if the dragon was real. She said yes, of course, and the bones are of its last meal. My child looked at her with absolute amazement and horror. She then said it's ok, he's already eaten! In that moment, she was brought to a place of magic and whimsy. Beautiful

Sorry Revelstoke Resort but the Town of Revy is doing all the heavy lifting.
OK so here goes. Will not comment about the snow as we had a heat wave in mid March so that’s all about Mother Nature not playing ball. It’s an awesome ski town. Yes the resort has some nice fall line and some easy to access side country. Now here come the “buts”.
The town is doing all the hard work for the resort. The resort needs to mature a little. Yes the grand plans of old to install lots of new lift that expand the terrain have not happened. “But” there is so much that can be done to improve the vibe of the resort. A simple food truck with some tunes and good food at the bottom or top of Ripper chair would create some options and vibe. Mackenzie Outpost, is on the money, “but” get some more lounge chairs 50% of the people are looking for. Spot to sit, lounge and spend money (take a research trip to a European resort and see how it’s done with simple sun lounges).
Revelation Lodge - For the current owner just remember it’s not a Denny’s, it’s got zero vibe unless you like public school halls.

We spent nearly a week here and it still didn't feel like we ran out of things to do (or beautiful scenery) - very worth the long long drive out from Calgary. Bit too many moghuls by mid-day but they were soft, powder moguls so can't really complain :D

We didn't stay at the resort but visited for the day to ride the downhill trails. Awesome time. Short waits if any for the gondolas on a gorgeous Saturday was a pleasant surprise. One member of our group had a nasty spill and the Patrol staff were professional, thorough, knowledgeable, and extremely friendly.
Robbie Fogal — Google review
The terrain is unbelievable!! Definitely geared towards more experienced riders and skiers. For the price, I wouldn’t recommend for first timers since you’ll barely get to explore and experience what the mountain has to offer. For everyone else, it’s a paradise 🙌🏼

Revelstoke is a gem! The slopes are uncrowded, and the ski runs are nicely groomed. Intermediate skiers can explore easier glades and terrains. This is my first time skiing through glades. Personally, I loved the Back40 near Ripper chair; it was so much fun!
Jie Z (Amy) — Google review
There might not be many lifts but the lifts they have are extremely efficient, and services a huge amount of terrain. There's great tree-skiing for all levels (check out the trees next to the Gnome Zone for beginner-friendly trees). Recommend the Revelation Lodge for food - much more spacious and comfortable than the Mackenzie Outpost. My only beef with the resort is that it's lousy with traverses, and the ski to snowboard ratio is quite high.

I fell in love with this place! The mountain resort is the only or one of the few ones in BC that allow paragliding pilots to use the lifts and take off in the resort. Just amazing! I did my first really long thermal flights there. Amazing views. Not just paragliding, also hiking and many other things can be done here.
I wanted to stay 5 days in Revelstoke and ended up staying almost 4 weeks. I just love this place!

Took my nephew on the mountain coaster, he absolutely loved it. One of the ticket options is 2 rides (there are 2 rails), axe throwing and free gondola up to the top, worth doing for the views. There is a small 15-20 minutes hike at the top as well you can do after having a nice burger & fries. A must do.

The skiing is fantastic but what really sets Revi apart is its people. The team from the base of the mountain to the top of Stoke, Ripper etc are pure quality. Friendly smiles and a lending hand are the norm. I must single out Jordana and her Guest Services team. My group witnessed a situation they had with a challenging guest and they handled it with grace, maturity, respect and professionalism when it was not being reciprocated in the slightest by the guest. They deserve kudos and plaudits for their attitude and actions. Bravo!!!

We had a blast at Revelstoke in February 2024. The weather was unfortunately warm, and snow was minimal but we had a group of 15 and enjoyed the mountain immensely. We stayed in two AirBnb 15 minutes away. Loved the town. Chairlifts and Gondola’s were smooth and efficient, and the mountain was great to explore! We had a medium experienced group of skiers and boarders and were able to enjoy the majority of the mountain.
Look forward to head back in the future to shred the verticals with powder.

Pros and cons. Revelstoke is (normally) famous for great snow and lift-accessible terrain. This year in Canada (2023/2024 ski season), El Nino has been punishing everyone with poor snow conditions. I happened to visit Revelstoke on February 27th, 2024, right after a fresh dump of snow in Revelstoke, which I am grateful for. There were limited stashes of fresh powder to be found at the top... BUT
The new dump of snow, however welcome, was not nearly enough to provide adequate coverage for the middle portion or lower half of the resort; with almost every run closed below the Revelation Gondola, except for The Last Spike. Despite the sparse snow and limited terrain, you will still pay handsomely for the privilege of riding Revelstoke; with one single-day adult ticket coming out to a whopping 187.95 with tax. Yikes. I literally winced when I went to pay.
More positives:
Lunch was delicious. Butter chicken and a drink at the mid-mountain lodge for $27. I enjoyed it! Staff were friendly and helpful as always.
Overall, the cost was too steep. But everyone there made the best of things. It was a good day nonetheless. Plus, they say a bad day skiing is better than a good day in the office.

If you're looking for a bougie stay to go along with your ski trip, then this resort is for you! This resort is right in front of the gondolas, two outdoor hot tubs, an outdoor heated pool, which are all next to a bar, and their bathroom floors are heated!!
We booked their two bedroom suites and it came with a full blown kitchen. I'm taking a sink, dishwasher, oven, microwave oven, a fridge and refrigerator. There are a few restaurants, bar and cafes at the resort. If that isn't enough for you, the town is a short 10 min drive. There is even a spa place for massages and facials! I recommend booking your messages before you arrive for your trip, otherwise they will be fully booked.
If you book many months in advance and come on a weekday, prices aren't too bad and the ski resort isn't crowded at all. Parking for guests are all indoors in garages. You will need your hotel room card to open the garage doors.

Just returned from Revelstoke and wow, it’s epic! Forget the slushy snow of the Greater Vancouver area. Revelstoke’s champagne powder snow is a dream come true. The slopes are uncrowded, giving you the freedom to carve your path in peace.
Bonus tip: If you have a y2play pass, you can grab two days of free skiing and get a 50% discount on the third day.
Highly recommend for an authentic and exhilarating powdery experience!

Situated on Arrow Lake with breathtaking views of Monashee Mountains, the resort combines nature's elements with rejuvenating treatments. From massages to dry skin brushing to hot/warm springs experience, Halcyon Hot Springs provides an unforgettable spa experience.
Very relaxing trip. The staff are VERY helpful (they brought us propane and saved our butts when we locked ourselves out of our chalet as well). The chalet is perfect, with a BBQ, kitchen, small sitting area and two bedrooms. I must say too, the temperature control is awesome (had to cool down our room a bit and it was almost instant). The pools are perfect (the warm lazy river is #1). If you can, bring something to help you float a bit and just enjoy the water taking you slowly through the pool.

Nice spot, very remote but pools are fun, Restaurant food is great, especially for being in the middle of nowhere.
That said, for $700/night, forcing adults to leave the pools at 9pm sharp so they can then rent them privately (for extra dough) is kind of tacky. Charge us more and let us enjoy them till 10 or 11. It's not a noise issue. Overall, enjoyed the stay, staff worked very hard. Appreciated,

I’ve been coming to Halcyon Hotsprings Resort for over 10 years. I have had some issues in the past with service (especially during the pandemic). I have to say this was the best stay in March and I’m thoroughly impressed! The service was fantastic, we were upgraded our accommodation and it was wonderful! Very clean, quiet, and a gorgeous view. The free breakfast that was included was incredible - full meals and a good variety (so much more than just muffins and fruit that you typically get at other hotels). The restaurant menu is fantastic and of course those views are stunning! It’s such a beautiful, remote location and completely worth the trip each time. I’m so impressed and will definitely be back.

Just an amazing 3 days in this beautiful location. The accommodations were excellent, the resort itself outstanding! There is nothing better than a relaxing evening float in the mineral pools which we did every night. The food was spectacular, and we were fortunate enough to take part in a special meal hosted by their amazing chef Darryl featuring multiple courses paired with local beer, and served in the lakeside gazebos overlooking the lake. It was truly outstanding. We have already recommended this place to many friends and will definitely return to Halcyon Hot Springs!

We come here every year, it's one of our favorite wintertime vacation spots! The pools are nice and calm with a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. There's a small "lazy river" that you can float around and around in with the new pool noodles, such a nice addition this year! The room we stay in allows dogs and is a nice little separate cabin equipped with a kitchenette for basic cooking. Would love to give 5 stars but the only downside to this nice resort is its location AND lack of affordable meal options on site.

I went here a few years ago and it really sticks in my mind as a place I need to return to! I was on a solo trip and popped in for a quick dip, which turned into being an afternoon of fun! I met so many people, everyone was so friendly and we all chatted! There’s one warm pool with a circle of fun, where the water flows, a hot tub, and a cold cold, get in for 30 seconds, kind of tank!
Amazing beautiful spot, and great prices!

Absolutely enjoyed our entire stay here. We booked a king cottage as it's one of the newer accommodations. Rainfall shower, bidet, fireplace, tasteful design, etc. Loved that there were 3 different temp pools as I'm pregnant and couldn't stay too long in the hottest one. Would highly recommend the spa. THE best and most relaxing massage we've ever had. We were booked with Amanda and Martha for a couples massage. Super attentive and just amazing at what they do. Everyone we encountered at the front desk was friendly. Someone (didn't catch his name) even went out of his way to help us out as my husband forgot to bring swimming trunks 😅. Definitely one in the books for us!

Staying here is always a great experience.
We stayed in one of the queen cabins this time and although they have been upgraded it, it wasn't super clean and there were definitely some flaws with the upgrade. The stairs were too short to the point of being dangerous and we banged our knees on the bed footboard at least 10 times! Other than that it was a great time!

What a beautiful getaway. We went for one night and wished it had been longer. Our check in was easy and the staff at check in were friendly and answered all our questions. We rented a chalet and it was gorgeous. Comfortable bed and all around great accomodation. The pools were all so nice and clean as was the entire resort. The evening pool time was so nice with the cool breeze off the lake. We had an incredible dinner and our waitress was awesome. . It was a perfect one night getaway but next time we will stay longer.

Blissful experience! My girlfriends and I went for the day, to enjoy the Yoga, Lunch, and Soak offering. From start to finish it was magical. The one hour of very well taught yoga class was followed by a yummy lunch with stunning views. Then the luxurious long soak made for a revitalizing whole day that we all felt for days and days following. Extremely well priced too! Thank you!

Fantastic setting at Halcyon hot-springs, with limited public use of hot pools so it was mostly for paying guests un like other hot springs near by.
The food was hands down amazing with a great menu. Sitting out side you feel like your right over the lake with the Mountain sunset whilst dining.
Staff were so helpful with anything needed. The cabin was spotless and all brand new
Great value!!

We stayed for two nights. Overall was nice. I understand the unique location and amazing view, but I don’t see how the prices are considered reasonable when you have to share random day-use customers in the same pool. That just makes the pool feels too busy. That’s how to end of the adult pool time after dinner time is the best time because there are no random walk-in people and much quieter.

We visited in July 2023. Pools are nice, and food was good at the restaurant. We brought up a few issues to management and staff and nothing was done at all. Very poor customer service. If you have kids make sure to bring extra food and snacks as nothing is available from 9pm-9am. Would not go back again, not worth the cost when there are so many other hot springs in the area.

After a long, hot drive we arrived only to find I had made a mistake in my booking (totally my fault) and we didn’t have a room. The resort was pretty full & housekeeping had gone home for the day. The staff went above & beyond to have maintenance set up a gorgeous chalet for us. Big shout out & thank you to Melissa for her awesome service. We enjoyed the hot pools, the resort is beautiful & very relaxing. Can’t wait to come back & stay awhile.

The restaurant was great. Adam deserves five stars. Chef is brilliant. The property feels unfinished. Little bit like a logging camp. Lots of unfinished logging, tree and rock debris. Pools were wonderful. Strange bedroom layout. Front desk was hostile not hospitable. One guest came by with a complaint and there was a shouting match. The restaurant fan swirls cooking oil smell up toward the cottages and cabins. Go for a wonderful swim and the food. No room service is offered.

Staying here right now, and upon arriving at the resort at 5:30 pm to check in "check in is at 4pm" we arrived to a dirty used room...... Soo disappointing, the hotel offered nothing but an apology to make up for it, we went into nakusp and grabbed some things and got back at 7pm, to I hope was a properly cleaned room and new sheets. Second day it took me until 5:30 pm to get new towels and talking to the front desk staff 3 times, they seemed confused why I wasn't getting any amenities, communication was lacking. The restaurant was ok, food was a little pricey for what you got. The pool was nice, crowded but was to be expected.

Hot springs are wonderful. Relaxing. The service was hard to get ahold of on the phone (they didn’t pickup) and then we could not get bedding for our rooms (the pull out beds had minimal bedding).
The restaurant and cafe food quality is excellent but the prices are very expensive. We mainly cooked in our chalet.

Our family really enjoys Halcyon. Beautiful setting, great pools.
We recently got 3 rooms for our kids, grandkids and ourselves. Upon check-in, credit card was charged the 3 room charges + $200/room. At check-out, credit card was charged the actual rates. 5 days later, the check-in charges of almost $2000 sit as pending on the credit card. Staff have apologized for not informing me of this at check-in: that the deposit charge will sit on your credit card for up to 5 business days!
This is an inconvenience, and I expect for some, it may moreso cause difficulties with their spending ability.
Writing this so people can be aware of how this will shake down for them - and hoping management will alter the practice. Other hotels do something similar but the deposit is cancelled at the time the actual charges are processed - not 5 days later.

For the past 7 years. I've been traveling to Ainsworth x 2 a year. Always driving past Halcyon. This year. We decided to book at Halcyon. Regretable difference. Night and day from Ainsworth. Our Chalet was night. Outfitted with the cheapest furniture. Sweet couldn't even sit on the hideaway couch. It kept sinking in. Water was leaking through the wall from the other bathroom. The Cafe looked like it was closing down for the season. Also, very $$$. 2 appies from the restaurant were extremely disappointing. When I went to go ask for the Manager regarding complaints. After going to their office. I was advised. On one was in and to send an email. Very unprofessional. Take your $1k and go to another hot spring.

Horrible customer service from guest service. Rooms are not being cleaned properly, even after you wait 1 hour past check in time for a room. poor food quality for fine dinning, very limited menu at their new cafe, the only option for breakfast and lunch. Change rooms are disgusting and dirty. Zero management accountability, seems like the staff hate their work environment and spend most of the time on their cell phones. Horrible spa experience,. the worst massage experience, only one person working in the spa and they are clearly not a trained massage therapist.
Great place for a drop in day pass but save you money to stay elsewhere.
Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is a scenic vacation spot that offers a variety of activities such as skiing, biking, and hiking trails. It is situated outside the city of Calgary and takes about three hours to reach. The resort has incredible expert terrain with steeps and hike-to powder runs that are loved by powder hounds. Additionally, foodies can enjoy Canada's highest on-mountain restaurant.
Love this place. We don't ski. However, we took the gondola ride twice. The view is beautiful from the top. there is a restaurant on the top but unfortunately, it is close to the public for a wedding. Still, we enjoyed the view. The gondola ride cost half price after 2.30 pm for the rest of the day. It's about a 20min ride on one side where you can watch people ski and maybe be able to see the grizzly bear boo located on the mountain.

Great experience! We were able to purchase tickets for the RAP (Ranger Assist Program) and it was well worth it. We were lucky and got to see Boo the Bear lots as he was very active near the fence line.
Very fun time and the kids enjoyed it too.

Amazing hill with a diversity of runs for everyone from beginner to expert. Lower mountain lifts are family/beginner friendly and have shorter lines. Upper mountain and gondola provide a mix of intermediate to advance/expert runs. A hill worth visiting! If you are there in the spring you may even see Boo the bear!

Friendly and efficient hospitality personnel
Snowmobile rentals and tours
Nordic trails for cross country skiing and snowshoeing. There is a separate lodge.
Gondola services mountain top restaurant. Sight seers are welcome. And there is sight seers passes available at guest services.
Less expensive ski pass options. Half day at 12:30 to 3:30, and a one chair lift pass that gives you access to all of the novice and intermediate terrain.
I was completely blown away by this resort. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

we had the best morning taking part in the ranger experience with Boo! Our guide was super informative and so nice. she was more than happy to answer all questions and it looks like Boo has an amazing set up here, everyone truly cares about his well-being, he definitely has a great life here. After this, we took the gondola up the mountain and did some hiking, stunning trails, could maybe be better sign posted but we managed. Insane views and all staff were wonderful throughout the resort.

Love this place. If you're traveling with people that don't ski or board this resort allows people to ride to the top of the gondola and enjoy the breath-taking views and enjoy a stop at the dining restaurant at the top. Then the gondola will take you back down. The views while on the gondola are amazing. See things from a view you wouldn't normally see.

I absolutely loved this resort. I came at the end of march which was a bit icy because the sun melts the snow during the day and it freezes at night. Had to wait for a lot of runs to warm up in the sun before they were doable. I will definitely come back next year in January when the snow is prime. Can't wait. Make sure you check out boo the resident bear while you're there!

We got trapped in Golden coming from Banff due to avalanche mitigation further up the pass. We thought it was the perfect opportunity to check out kicking horse! We got the lift ticket that allows you to use the smaller lift only and it was great! We didn’t have to pay for the full pass but still got the opportunity to ski some beautiful terrain! We were also impressed by the friendliness of the staff in the ticket booth as well as all the places in the village. Would love to come back and explore more of the resort! Overall we loved it!

We did the Via Ferrata Ascension tour and it was so fun! Great intro to outdoor climbing if you've never done it before because it's so safe and easy to use the bars and steps here. Lenka was our guide and she was wonderful. Super patient, knowledgeable, friendly and encouraging, especially for those who are initially nervous. She also took wonderful photos for us which was so appreciated. I'd highly recommend doing at least one of the tours but definitely the ascension one! There's a fun suspension bridge, ropes, ladders, vertical climbs and even a tightrope portion. You'll be so glad you did it!

Great resort to stop by for a trip. I went in the summer and they had tons of activities to do. Well maintained and challenging mountain biking trail, hiking trails, grizzly bear, cable car and a via ferrata. I didn’t get a chance to go mountain biking while I was there but I could tell from the cable car that it would have been worth it if I had the time. I did have the chance to do the via ferrata which was fun and provided beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.

The base simply isn't deep enough yet (Jan 2, 2024), resulting in numerous spots where the snow is brownish. Many of the runs have rocks scattered about. In some places, the tips of pine/spruce trees are scattered almost completely across the run. Unfortunately, they haven't received the snowfall they usually get.
The staff were very polite and helpful!

I just had the pleasure to take a trip to beautiful Golden BC and visit the Northern Lights Wolf Center. The staff were friendly and answered all my questions (no matter how silly) I was lucky enough to go on a Wolf Walk with the lovely Flora (wolf) I got to see her walking around off leash in a natural environment. Lots of great photo opportunities and got to pose with her in a few! The ladies hosting the walk were fantastic and knew their stuff when it came to the wolf pack. I can definitely say I will be back to see the pack again!

Unfortunately was not up to our expectations. (Kids were so excited!) We were too early and waited in the area around one hour as the centre opens at 12pm. After paying entry fees (Cash only, so we used the ATM inside the centre) entered the centre. There were few wolves in separate fenced areas. You can watch them through the fence nets. That’s pretty much when in comes to viewing and interactions. Then there was a narrative done by a staff member which lasted for maybe 15 minutes which was informative. Not even one animal was taken out of the cages at least during the narrative. Not the money we spent but the time we spent was not worth it! Just our experience.

Thought i’d bring my son to learn more about wolves today; instead I was shocked at the conditions it is like a run down zoo. The wolves look terrible.,The website says not to call to book ahead as they run tours daily every 30 minutes. We arrived just after 1pm and missed that one so decided to wait for the 130pm ( there was no tour at 130pm) I tried to find an employee to ask and I was told they were short staffed and not planning on running another tour until 230pm. I had already paid for my son and I - we dove1.5 hours from Radium to visit and we already did a self guided tour but we were curious where these wolves came from? As well as other questions-The one employee who said no more tours until 2:30pm then said hesitantly that she will answer any questions that I had and then went on a rant about the mistreatment of wolves in the wild because the government allows them to get hunted. This place is a run down shanty and the wolves are very sad looking and dirty. Don’t support this place. They also have blasted on their website that no dogs are allowed- but they have dogs running the property freely barking and annoying/teasing the wolves. ( the dogs run free the wolves do not). Horrible experience I wish there was 0 stars to give.,

Great place to learn about the importance of wolves in our ecosystem. The staff (partially volunteer run) talks about the situation between Yellowstone National Park and Canada, when some wolves were borrowed in order to up the wolf population. Lots of other important things covered. Saw a few wolves behind very tall fences. You can stay for as long as you want. The talk is about 20 minutes and you can sit on wooden benches during it. There is also a little gift shop. Tickets were about $12 each, cash only. Not a lot of parking, maybe 8 spots.

What an amazing experience! All the wolves even started howling while we were there. Be aware that this is a conservation facility and not a zoo, so it is a teaching and an awareness moment when visiting and ot for entertainment. We were a bit hesitant on visiting this place for a couple of reasons. 1 we had found the area super expensive and a bit of a tourist fleecing trap. 2 some of the reviews are pretty negative. With that in mind, as it was literally ten mins drive from where we were staying, and we are animal lovers we gave it a try.
It’s a relatively little site easy to find on Google Maps and sufficient parking. Cost is cheap and was paid, you can go in and wonder around. There are a bunch of info boards around the place as well as some gift shop stuff. And there are a couple of enclosures with the wolves in. All good, we could see the wolves, and they were lovely. If it was just that, you would maybe have said Ok that’s a bit expensive. But they do regular “interpretive talks” where they explain all about the wolves, their impact on the ecosystem etc etc. Our one was carried out by a lady whose name escapes me, however she really nailed it. I have attended hundreds of events where people are talking to a crowd. Be they entertainment events, work events or whatever, I have been to a lot. This lady was hands down the best speaker I have ever seen. First off, she didn’t use a microphone, but was loud enough (without shouting / yelling) that we could all hear. She was expressive with her voice and interactive with the audience of about 30. She knew her stuff and told us a lot of really interesting facts and figures. She talked about the wolves being keystone species, which lines up with information we have read elsewhere. The talk lasted maybe 25 mins, but it was hard to tell as we were thoroughly engaged.
There was no political agenda, no forcing things down our throats and a genuine “Thank you” for attending as it is a big help towards the conservation.
Additionally, although we didn’t do it - you an book to go on a wild walk with some wolves, where they walk free and will come up and around you whilst taking a walk in the forest. Chance to get some great pics I imagine. Might do that in the future if we came back through the area.
Absolutely recommend spending an hour here!

If you're driving through staying in Golden or just driving through, this place is a must see. The work they are doing to bring information to the public about these beautiful animals and how endangered they are, is extremely admirable. The staff are very knowledgeable and love what they do. They will be happy to answer any of your questions. When the wolves begin howling and it echoes through the valley, you will be transported to a whole other world. The gift shop is full of amazing items. They rely on donations, so please visit so they can continue to do the incredible work they are doing here.

We are from Alberta and we recently purchased a R.V, before setting out on a big trip we decided to do a trial run and go to the IPE in the BC interior. On the way through Golden we heard about a wolf sanctuary up the road, being the animal lover we are we decided to head up there and take a look. We we got there and stepped through the door we were immediately there treated with disrespect. Us being a family of 3 asked if we could purchase a family pass because it’s cheaper then to buy individually. When we asked the lady at the front counter, we were snarled at by the owner who was restocking the atm that she apparently owns. She refused to cut us the two dollar break because we “didn’t qualify”. I guess to be considered a family you must ONLY have 4 members in it. After we then paid the individual fees, we were allowed in. We were given a paper that had a bunch of information on it and as I was reading it over one of the so-called “facts” caught my eye. It claimed that there has never been a single wolf attack that resulted in a death, a simple goggle search would find out there have been recorded cases of a wolf killing a human. Blatant lies. Looking at other reviews, it seems I’m not the only one who thought the enclosures were very tiny, they couldn’t even run in them. Then the owner comes back out and starts to feed the wolves, one of the newer wolves was very small, he was scared to eat because of the bigger wolves. Her seeing this, she did nothing about this, at least she could have closed the pan so he could actually eat and not be in fear.

We've been there today. Staff was friendly, and was asking to anser questions. the wolves were very interesting and cute. Ticket's cost 15$ each. Which was okay I think. But the area was way smaller than expected, but still beautiful and lovely. The gift shop was nice and they had cool souvenirs, but very pricy.
Overall worth a visit, but it's only 30-60 minutes stay.

In the Canadian Rockies, there's a remarkable sanctuary where wolves, formerly part of the movie industry, find refuge and care. The bond and affection shared between these wolves and the woman who oversees their care, along with her staff, is truly heartwarming to witness. The experience of walking alongside a stunning white (gray) wolf, gradually earning its trust, and ultimately having it comfortable enough to approach you, is both unique and extraordinary. After spending an hour there, I found myself deeply enamored with the wolf and filled with respect for Shely, the nurturing 'mother' of these wolves.

We went to the northern lights wildlife wolf centre to see wolves. We got educated by a young girl who explained a lot of history to us about the wolves and how they impact our ecosystems, how we helped out yellowstone and how our government is killing wolves here in Canada with a harmful poison. Very sad. We were expecting to see the wolves moving around and maybe more wolves but there’s only 6 and we only seen 4. 3 were sleeping while we were there. You could book a tour with the wolf walking with you in the forest for a few hours that’s what we wanted to do originally but you have to book far enough in advance to get a good time slot unfortunately didn’t add up with our trip time so we went to check it out anyways and it was a bit of a let down as most of them were sleeping and couldn’t see them all. Small space can’t walk around the cages coated us 30$ it was nice to see the wolves just would’ve been cooler to see them moving around and if we could walk around more to check them out. Not much to do there.

Was expecting a bit larger area (compared to other wildlife and wolf sanctuaries that we had been to). There was only 2 fenced areas that contained wolves, I think we saw 6 wolves total. Price is $15, which goes towards wolf conservation. The tour guide definitely knew what she was talking about, but spoke a little fast. Overall good experience, just a bit underwhelming - but we understand the concept behind the sanctuary.

This was AMAZING! I can't say enough about how incredible the experience is! Shelley (wolf handler and guide) was really friendly, knowledgeable, and (necessarily) strict at the same time - it cannot be said enough - This Is A Wolf You Are Walking With! Safety is her number one concern for both the humans AND the wolf so rules are enforced without negotiation.
Also remember, this may look like a large dog and you may see him/her acting like a large dog but he/she IS NOT a large dog! Just ask what their teeth can crunch through - Shelley knows!
It is a once in a lifetime experience and if you have any love for animals, this is an experience not to be missed!
The famous Athabasca Glacier, a receding glacier, is the most popular destination in North America. Guided tours and hiking are available for visitors. The Icefield Parkway offers numerous stops such as Bow Lake, Columbia Icefield, Peyto Lake and Athabasca waterfalls with hiking trails. Most tourists drive an hour to the Peyto Lake viewing point before returning to Lake Louise. Although many people do not visit the lake itself, they walk up to its viewpoint to admire it from above.
Incredible Experience!
We booked the Columbia Icefield Adventure tour which allowed us to travel on a massive Ice Explorer to a Athabasca Glacier where we enjoyed walking on the Glacier and learned lots of interesting facts about this glacier.
It included Ice Explorer Tour on the Athabasca Glacier, admission to the Skywalk, and return transportation to the Glacier Discovery Centre. The ice explorer truck/vehicle was so impressive. The ride was fun and entertaining. It was a wonderful experience walking on the glacier. It was very cold and windy even in July and it was slippery too. So wear warm clothes and good shoes when visiting here.
Some people were collecting water in bottles and they were drinking it too. You can book the tickets online and in advance to avoid the line ups at the discovery centre.
Overall a must visit place when visiting Jasper and before its gone!! :)
Highly recommend!

A experience that we never forget.
The tour is amazing, Views are breathtaking and the bus driver was really amazing and informative. Our group totally enjoyed it.

Amazing, eye-catching location to enjoy nature at its best. One can see and enjoy glacier's view from quite near.
One very important thing to note, please wear proper thermals before visiting this place anytime of the year as no matter what the wind speed and the chill is quite high in this area.

Visited here during the month of July. Place was very busy. There is short steep hike to the foot of the glacier. It is sad to see how glacier has resided over the years. They have markers indicating where the foot of the glacier was based on the year. However it was a beautiful experience visiting the glacier. There are Glaciaer torus, which you have to book ahead of time.

One place you must visit before it’s all gone due to climate change!!! Stunning views of surrounding mountains and valley, the glacier can be visited through the tour services where you can book your way up there and experience a very special sight of blue and green crevices in the ice, drink glacier water and admire this stunning place!!!

Went there in August, it was chilly but super gorgeous and nice! It’s a worth trying experience. Hurry, the glacier is melting super fast.
There are two ways to get there from the parking:
1) buy admission tickets - overpriced but lovely experience. Depending on the admission tickets, you can either hike or bus there with a guide.
2) you can hike to the glacier on your own from the parking place. Free but limited experience because there are safety fences that would stop you from hiking on the ice.
Both the experiences are great! All you need are hiking shoes for icy surface, warm clothes and plenty of water :)))
Enjoy!!!

Well worth a visit. Photos and recessional moraines show how fast the glacier is retreating. The snow vehicles are amazing, comfortable and warm. Guides are knowledgeable and help keep you from wondering off and falling down a crevasse (no chance of that if you stay within the flags). I filled my water bottle with glacial run off water after the guide said it was OK from a specific point where the water crops out of the glacier. Deliciously cold and refreshing.

Very worth it to brace the cold and wind to see the glacier. Definitely bring a coat outside of Summer.
The sense of scale and the approach on a clear day is worth the trek!

The air in this place is the cleanest i have ever breathed. I really recommend visiting this place. It is beautiful, has a lot of history about the retraction of the glacier and a nice trail. Remember to enjoy this visit!

Great tour of the ice field, gives you a perspective how fast the ice is melting, you can actually see it and taste it. There is a small stream where you can drink fresh cold glacier water. I just got a little disappointed because we were confined to a small area of the Glacier, but in the name of conservation and for our one safety rules have to be followed

Incredible experience! We went in July, and it was beautiful. Amazing to see the speed at which it is melting. Bring many layers! It was very very windy and the wind over the glacier is extra chilling. Make sure to bring your water bottle and taste the water!

We went after thanksgiving and turns out all tours end that weekend. Would have been great to go on the glacier but we did the short hike up to the bottom and it was nice to see something that is quickly disappearing.

Perfect, enchanting and mesmerizing place!
Our group fell in love with the views😍😍😍 to start with the tours are meticulously organised and the time is perfectly enough set. We had 30 minutes on the glacier and then as much as wanted on the skywalk, but till 7 pm when the last shuttle left.
One thing to take into account is that the restaurants are working till 6 pm only. So do take some regular snacks with you provided you want to stay till 7 pm😜😝😍

Remember to bring a beanie. The temperature here is 10degrees lower than the base lodge. The views are superb, breathtaking and reminds us to use less product and protect our beautiful natural landscape. Brewster did a great job on this tour.

Had a great time seeing glacier with family.
Known to be one of the three permanent glacier on earth.
Glacier is being receded over time though.
Definitely one of the most visitable places in Rockies.
You can walk up a bit on the glacier. But highly recommend taking the snow car? serviced by Columbia ice field

This has been my dream. I am not built for any sports. I have the weakest knees and lungs but this girl is a dreamer. Yes the hike was a struggle and there is a whole story of my journey. But we are here for the place because we could have different experiences. Not that mine was bad.
I usually post pictures and let the picture tell the story and for you to decide how amazing it is to walk on a glacier.

Here is a glacier you can walk to from a highway and astonishing how much it's retreated in just our lifetime. Wonderful views from Glacier View Lodge across but recommend walking if you are able or take the bus.

We drove here early in the morning to avoid potential crowds. There was lots of parking and public washrooms available.
We saw the melting glacier coming down in a small stream. There is a short, steep hike to get to the glacier, with markers and info plaques along the way showing the melting rate of the glacier. The actual glacier was fenced off
Worth a visit!

The Athabasca Glacier in Banff is a must-see natural wonder. Even if you only stop at the parking lot, the view is simply breathtaking. Its proximity to the highway makes it incredibly accessible, and I was able to capture an amazing photo. The sheer beauty of the glacier against the surrounding landscape is a sight to behold. Next time, I plan to take a walk and get even closer to this stunning piece of nature.

We booked the ice explorer tour to the glacier through pursuit. It was an amazing experience to ride those ginormous vehicles. Our tour guide Sebastian was warm and welcoming with a sense of humour.
The loaded onto the bus was the a bit long but everything else was very smooth and timely
It was very busy on the thanksgiving weekend
We were fortunate to get off the vehicles onto the glacier to snap some photos. It was very cold because of the freezing winds even on a sunny day. The ice was very slippery and quite a few people were falling down. Highly recommend wearing boots and winter wear for this adventure.

One of the highlights of my holiday. We went on an ice field explorer tour (on the giant bus) to get here. Incredible to think the glacier is 10,000 years old. And you get to drink some of the freshly melted water. The tour guides were great too. The memory of this glacier will stay with me forever.

Once in a lifetime experience, seeing up close the Glacier. The driver, aka guide, is super friendly! Would go back to do a half day hike in the glacier.
The Columbia Icefield Skywalk is a 1km pathway that guides visitors to an observation platform with a glass-floor, providing a stunning view of the 280m drop below. Situated between Lake Louise and Jasper on the Icefields Parkway, this remarkable attraction combines a walkway at the edge of a cliff with an overlook featuring transparent flooring. It offers breathtaking vistas of the Sunwapta Valley.
Wow, what a place, what a structure! I and my wife are both architects and it was amazing to see this structure just hanging there. An amazing Structural engineering!!!
Very cool experience to walk on glass and see nothing below your feet, some people have a bit of an issue with it. If you have a fear of highs you might have an issue with that.
Highly recommended place to visit!

What a place this is. It's surreal, it's beautiful, and it's fantastic. The views, the roads, the mountains, everything was perfect. We were fortunate that the weather was also lovely, and we enjoyed every bit of it. Walking on the skywalk was a fantastic experience. It felt scary in the beginning, but overall, it was fun. We were able to click some great pictures.

Great views. A really well engineered tourist attraction. FYI: unable to drive up to location and enter to "look down" but must instead go to the ticketing building, purchase tour ticket, board a bus, get driven for approx. 7 mins to the location whilst hearing some facts about the area, then enter for sightseeing. The return buses come every 10 mins or so to take you back to your vehicle.

This place is a must visit if you are traveling through Jasper or Banff. From this bridge you need to drive another 10 minutes to the parking lot, after which you go on a bus and they will take you to the bridge and back. The first steps on this bridge caused fear for me personally, but on the third approach to this bridge I felt very comfortable and was lucky with the weather: it was very warm and sunny. But I think this place is beautiful in any weather. I was also amazed by the selection of souvenirs in the store. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to have lunch in the cafe, but I will definitely come back here again!

Columbia Icefields is a unique experience. We went in September. There was no snow anywhere except in Columbia Icefields. It was so surprising and enchanting. It's about 10 degrees cooler at the Skywalk than the rest of the parkway, so dress up accordingly. We saw snow goats from the Skywalk, it was so awesome.

Absolutely spectacular. Very safe vehicle and fairly easy to get in and out of for older people. The drive to the glaciers in the specially made vehicles is very up and down...steep inclines. Our driver Jess made it seem easy. Great tour guide and driver. Jess was very pleasant and funny! There were a few people who fell walking on the glacier but you just have to take it slow. Glacier is outstanding. A once in a lifetime opportunity.

An unmissable place when you visit Banff/Jasper.. you will be amazed with the natural beauty, serenity and sheer size of glacier. Take a jacket without fail, as the glacier is less than 10degrees even during peak summer. Also advance booking of ride to glacier is a must!

If you are going to the icefield, yuo may as well get the package to visit the Skywalk whilst you are there. Personally I would do the Skywalk first if possible.
The Columbia Icefield Skywalk is a popular tourist attraction located in Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada. It is a glass-floored observation platform that extends out from the edge of a cliff, providing visitors with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, valleys, and the Sunwapta River below. The Skywalk is situated along the Icefields Parkway, approximately halfway between the Jasper and Banff townsites. It offers visitors a unique perspective of the Canadian Rockies and the Athabasca Glacier. The Columbia Icefield Skywalk features a horseshoe-shaped walkway with a glass floor that juts out from the cliff's edge. The platform is constructed of steel and glass, providing an unobstructed view of the landscape below. You can enjoy a self guided walk that includes informational displays about the surrounding geology, wildlife, and glaciology. The experience offers a thrilling opportunity to view the dramatic landscape from a new vantage point. The Skywalk is wheelchair accessible, allowing people of all abilities to enjoy the experience. It is designed with safety features and has a solid construction to ensure visitors' comfort and security while exploring the platform.

Really nice place , the staff and crew were very good. I wish they could regulate the number of people on the sky walk. Too crowded, no room to move or take pics . Given covid , even more reason to socially distance. My tip - take the last trip out at 17.30, the crowd thins out and you have some place to breathe and move around
Pavan Jacob — Google review
The views are great and walking on that glass pathway is a thrill in itself. Interesting to see the engineering behind it. Took a little while to grab the bus back to the welcome center but it's alright. Not necessarily a must see, but definitely worth it if you have the time.

If you’re going to Banff and Jasper then a must do activity and excursion. It’s unbelievable to stand and walk on a 10000 year old glacier. Columbia icefield glacier team is great very courteous and experienced. There discovery center is great 👍🏻. Overall a fabulous and fantastic experience.

The skywalk is a wonderful experience. The price-performance ratio is still ok. If you travel here by bus, you should take plenty of time. There is so much to see, experience and learn. All around the mountains and the glaciers, and also the animals like the mountain goats and the bears. You also learn how important nature and climate protection are for the preservation of the glaciers and their lakes.

We did just the skywalk (no glacier walking tour - so can’t comment on that) and were pretty disappointed. It’s essentially a glorified rest stop at the side of the road, with okay views but nothing remarkable compared to other spots along the highway and in the nearby national parks.
You arrive at the glacier centre and they take you on a bus up to the skywalk (which you already drove past). You walk around for a while, walk across the glass skywalk, then get the bus back.
Frankly, the views from the glacier centre where you board the bus are better than the skywalk. Unless you’re super keen to walk on glass, I’d suggest you just skip it and enjoy a coffee/lunch in the cafe, which was quite nice and reasonably priced.

Visited on Sep 10, 2023. The regular shuttle bus back from the Columbia Icefield bypasses the visitor centre and goes further north on HWY 93 to arrive here directly. A little scared at the right beginning on the glass but soon ok. Another way to become better is to look at the horizon instead of looking down. Good view and worthy.

It was such a great time. Took my father in law. It was our first time. There was some maintenance being done, so we couldn't walk the whole thing, however we still had access to over half of it and the views are spectacular. There's no rush which is nice.
Jessica Klaassen — Google review
We arrived with bad weather so the viability at times was not great but we did see and photograph some beautiful scenery and loved how easy it was to walk around with no restrictions. The skywalk gave you stunning views of the mountains, rivers and Glaciers. The structure was amazing so make sure you also check it out. Bus does run frequently to and from the Columbia Icefield centre and access is very easy.
Terry Ross — Google review
This was one of the most amazing experience. A bit overpriced but definitely worth it. There was frequent buses to get to the skywalk. It is long and wide enough for a large crowd. Lots of information boards around to get more information about the animals and site.
It was a bit jarring to step on the glass but once you step into it than it gets better
M K — Google review
This is a bizarre addition to the Columbia Ice Fields tour that doesn't make sense. There used to be a nice pull out area to park vehicles and enjoy the scenery. Now the entire area is occupied by this mammoth steel structure that extends into the valley with a small glass section. It begs the question why???
This sky walk adds another 1 hr to the ice field tour, which typically used to take about 2 hrs. Now it takes almost 3hrs in total with no access to a washroom after you left the main building. A bus will directly take you from the ice field tour to this new location. Some people had opted to skip this and stay in the bus to continue to the visitor centre.
This is one of the sad realities of ultra commercialization of the Banff/Jasper National Parks.
Waruna C — Google review
Walking across the bridge is a truly great experience, and you need not worry because the glass is incredibly strong and safe. The view of the mountains and waterfalls from the bridge is awe-inspiring. Keep an eye out, as you might even spot mountain goats beneath the bridge. If you enjoy heights, this is an absolute must-visit destination. Be sure to purchase a ticket in advance, as you cannot stop on the side of the highway to access it. Also, it's essential to be prepared since there are no washroom facilities available at this location.

The views were stunning. I had a tickling sensation in my stomach from the walk on the glass-floor observation platform overlooking a 280m drop 😅🤩.
Peace of advice: go to the washrooms before heading into the bus for the skywalk. There are no toilets when you arrive. The washroom in our bus was always closed. We had to use the bushes 🙃

Feel of adventure with touch of care!
Great activity to do if you're feared of heights, it feels so safe and solid which helps you overcome the fear of height.
Great place of visit with young kids.

The Icefield Information Centre in Jasper National Park is a popular destination with breathtaking views of glaciers. It offers a variety of amenities, including a patio with glacier views, trails, tours, a shop, and an eatery & cafe. This center is considered one of the top attractions in both Jasper and Banff. However, it has recently become a cause for concern due to the impact of excessive tourism on the physical properties of the glaciers.
Great location to experience and learn about glaciers. On the day that we visited the opened an exhibition about glaciers and the effects of global warming. Very interesting when you are there.

Enjoyed the icefield and the skywalk. The kids (age 10 and 8) enjoyed walking in the ice. The parents were more freaked out on the skywalk than the kids. The icebus thing goes down a 32 degree angle road, which is also pretty crazy.

A once in a lifetime experience at The Jasper National Park Icefields! I will never forget this amazing experience walking on the glacier! It was absolutely magnificent!! The ride up on the ice explorer was incredibly entertaining. It was hysterical to watch everyone slip sliding around, trying to maintain their balance! Make sure to wear proper footwear! I was amazed to see a lot of people wearing shorts with no jackets! It definitely gets cold up there, so dress in comfortable layers. You are encouraged to bring your own bottle to sample some of the refreshing glacier water right from the stream. If you are anywhere near Jasper, put this adventure on your bucket list and go!

What an experience. Carry good jackets because it's very windy out there. The trip on the bus to the glacier was wonderful. It is best to go here in mid or late summer. We paid for the skywalk too which is nothing much to write about but I guess some people might like it.

What an amazing experience. The guide was so informative. It's a very popular tourist attraction but absolutely stunning. We were taken on a shuttle bus to get the ice buses, which have enormous wheels. We reached the glacier and spent approximately 30 minutes tootling about. There are marked boundaries which you have to stay within, because there are crevasses which the unsuspecting could fall in! If you ever get the opportunity, do it.

I arrived late so they put me on standby. I was able to get on the bus half an hour later. The guide on the Icefield Explorer was a Brit. He was excellent with information and very funny too. He took photos of me and we got another guide to take photos of us. The Glacier was cool! I even drank the ice cold and very refreshing water. Not too slippery unless you walk down to the stream of melting glacier. Scenery was spectacular.
The building is beautiful but there are a lot of stairs to climb to get to it. I suppose there must be elevators for people with mobility issues. Inside, there’s a lovely gift shop and Starbucks. Upstairs there’s a restaurant but I think it was only open for events. I’m not 100 percent sure.
There are hiking trails just outside and there are some hungry ravens and chipmunks outside.

So worth it!!! Great to do for families! We did a package that included this and so happy we did! Wear warmer clothes and defiantly try the glacier water you can kneel down and scope some water into your mouth WOW! That best! Experience of a lifetime. Booking in advance you don't have to wait in line. Once you land at the discovery centre, you have to stand in line 15 before your bus leaves to take you to the Ice explorer. You have to spend 25 minutes and then they transfer you to the Skywalk. Earlier the better. Carry water and food as things are expensive. No washrooms once you get on the bus. It takes about two hours. Dress warmly as the glacier is cold and wear proper shoes.

Buy tickets in advance. Ice explorer and visiting the glacier is an amazing experience and one that won't be around much longer thanks to rising temperatures. We had lunch at the buffet restaurant after and the food was great. There is a small set of exhibits but nothing big. This stop is all about the views of the glacier and ice field and taking the glacier scheduled tours.

This was a unique experience! The entire adventure was slick and well organised, and certainly enhanced by the expertise and sense of humour of our drivers and guide: Abby, Cal and Sam. It was a short 5 minute bus ride from the Discovery Centre, over moraine, to the transfer centre. Here we boarded the specialised 6 wheel drive, Ice Explorer which navigated the steep terrain (33% slope!) to reach the glacier. There was a designated safe area within which we could wander for 30 minutes. The blueish glassy sections were very slippery. Less so on the churned up ice. Sturdy walking shoes and warm gear were essential. There was a Canadian flag which made a great prop for photos! If you remember (wish I had!) to take a small cup, you are able to sample the water from streams in the small crevasses. There are no amenities at the transfer centre/glacier, so be sure to make use of them at the Discovery Centre before you depart!

If you want to experience the Glacier up close you should definitely visit the Columbia icefield. You need to come to the visitor centre to get your tickets or you can purchase them online. The place has a free wifi even though such remote location. The washrooms are pretty neat and water dispensers available. The place also has Starbucks and a restaurant for food and a gift shop for souvenirs. You will meet some amazing staff around who are very friendly. I would recommend buying tickets online booking your slots as it gets crowded in the kiosk.

So bring bug spray / mosquito repellent as there are quite a few mosquitoes at the start of the trail.

Emerald Lake, situated in Yoho National Park and less than 20 minutes away from Lake Louise, is renowned for its clear, green-hued waters. The lake gets its unique blue-green color from the reflection of light off white marl deposits derived from limestone erosion during the last ice age. Enclosed by mountains such as Mount Burgess and Wapta Mountain, Emerald Lake offers a tranquil and secluded atmosphere compared to its well-known neighbor.
A must see lake, we visited lots of times

I doubt if videos and photos can describe the beauty of location. The green color of the lake completely justifies the name Emerald Lake. This is definitely a must visit lake. Beautiful trail surrounding the lake! Mostly flat but it was a bit muddy on the east side of the lake because it’s more wooded. I recommend turning around at the bridge if you want to stay on the paved path. The canoe rentals looked amazing! $90 for up to 3 people per canoe.

Our first visit, but it won't be our last. Easy access from the highway. Parking can be a little challenging as not a lot of spaces to park. Beautiful lake to do an easy hike and inexpensive Canoeing. The lake is calm and beautiful.

If you’re in the area of banff and you’re into visiting lake this is one the gems in the area along with Morraine, Louise, and Peyto are a must visit. The lake is called emerald because it unique colour. Sadly, it was frozen at the time we went with my family. There are kayaking available when it’s not frozen. As well hiking trails that covers the loop of the lake. Overall, the experience is amazing and highly recommended!

This lake is beautiful! It's so scenic to walk around in any season. The parking lot isn't too big so it's best to get there early to avoid crowds. There's nice walking trails, lodge you can stay in and you can rent canoes in the summer - it's a must see!

Beautiful, easy walk around the lake, even some section a little bit muddy.

Stunning lake and magnificent views from all angles. Cute little trail which is suitable for young children around the lake too. Bears also frequent this area so be aware and bring bear spray.

We originally planned to visit Lake Louise but didn’t arrive early enough and the parking lot as well as shuttles were full so we decided to drive here instead. Despite the area being quite small it is still incredibly gorgeous and there are hiking trails you can walk to explore.

Beautiful! Arrive early for parking. You could easily spend a half day or more here. They have an adorable cabin restaurant, hiking and canoe rentals.

We first came here in 2005 and it was not busy and it was so peaceful. Fast forwards to 2023 and this place is so busy now and crowded with tourist buses. I highly recommended that you come early before 10 am and then rent the kayak $90 for 1 hour and enjoy the quietness and peace on the water

Wow, what a fantastic place. One of top 3-4 places to visit in the Rockies, only after Moraine Lake, Lake Louise, etc. I stayed at the lodge, which was nice but the nature and scenery here is world class. I visited in October and got lucky with almost Summer-like weather and of course much less visitors.

Magical! Amazing colors, this lake is really emerald. It is like a dream especially with the mountains! I hiked all around the lake. If you are going in Canadian Rockies, don't forget to do this hike and even try kayak or lodging at Emerald Lake Lodge! ❤️

What a stunning lake. I have never seen such glass like reflecting water. It is so clear and glistens in the sunlight. The parking was quite busy over the thanksgiving weekend.
The trail around is leisurely and accessible.
Very nice picnic spots as well.

Behold a breathtakingly beautiful lake, its charm accentuated during the winter months when the water exudes a mesmerizing green hue that perfectly complements the pristine white of the snow-capped mountains. This picturesque scene is a testament to the natural wonders of our world, offering a captivating and serene landscape that truly embodies the beauty found in earthly paradises.

We had a great visit here today! And a neat gift shop worth the stop. Also check out Peyto lake, it's amazing too!

Excellent location! Easily accessible. The Natural Bridge on the drive up to the lake is also worth a stop. Biggest downside is the expensive canoe/snowshoe rental service, so just bring your own if you have them. The hike around the lake is very gentle and is great for birdwatching.

This place is insanely beautiful with emerald color water and spectacular mountain backdrop view. We were lucky that it wasn’t too crowded and we easily got the parking. The walk around the lake was beautiful and easy. Even there was no sunlight during our visit, the lake was still beautiful.

Emerald Lake in Yoho Provincial Park is stunning, especially in summer! It's one of my favorite lakes with its beautiful landscape and captivating water color. A must-visit destination for nature lovers, perfect for capturing breathtaking summer memories.
Access to the falls is only possible during the summer months due to road closure. The scenery is spectacular and can be seen from either the viewpoints close to the falls or from a hike up the valley.
2nd highest waterfall in Canada. Located in Yoho national park,BC. Gorgeous waterfall with breathtaking view. A short and easy trek from the parking lot to the waterfall.Little bit windy and cold near the waterfall. Definitely must go place to visit if you are planning to visit emerald lake.

Great stop in the Yoho National Park. Great drive in and out. Nice short walk from the parking lot to the falls. Superb photo opportunities. Was not crowded at all when we went. If your are in the Banff area strongly recommend stopping by here - and also claiming yet another national park in your visited list! While in Yoho - also check out Emerald Lake.

A very powerful waterfall, very impressive, you can already see it from a distance from the road. As you get closer, a cold spray of water is felt. I climbed up the mountain and tried to get closer to the waterfall. A special experience for nature lovers.

Wow! This fall has POWER! couldn’t get anywhere near the base of the fall due to the intense winds it generates, but easily one of the best falls I visited on the west coast.
Make sure you have a confident driver navigating, as there are many hairpin turns leading up to the parking lot.

Impressive waterfall, which can be viewed really up close. Access is fairly easy through a well maintained walking trail.

This place is a hidden gem! I was able to go on a weekday and there was plenty of parking. Walking up on the rocks a little towards the waterfall I was able to clearly feel the mist that it created around me. Such a beautiful place for little walking effort. Bring a sweater if you plan on getting close to the waterfalls as it's quite cool the closer you get to the water!

Breathtaking view. A short hike from the parking lot going to the falls.:) Would be a challenging one if you want to climb the top (it’s doable);)
My family enjoyed the scenery and ambiance. Indeed one of the tallest and powerful falls in Canada.

Well worth visiting. The drive is beautiful (especially with autumn colors), as are the falls. Parking lot was small, but ample on an early October weekday afternoon. Falls are visible from the road, but you'll want to get closer. Short walk from the lot to the footbridge that starts the approach to the falls, but if you walk uphill past the bridge, there are the 2 red chairs for photos. Once you cross the footbridge, the trail is flat and easy to follow until you're practically at the base of the falls.

Breathtaking falls. I drove a little far from highway to the falls and lucky got the parking lot. The drive way is a little dangerous. Falls is truly amazing if you can walk closer to the rock under it. Get too close can make you wet.

Very beautiful! The drive up there is filled with wonderful views. There’s lots of tables and benches, great for picnics and various group activities. The pathway is wide and open, parking isn’t too far, my grandparents were able to walk from the car to the falls and they’ve got bad hips and all that. There were outhouses for convenience, not too clean but no outhouse is clean. This is definitely a great site seeing spot!

I really enjoyed walking the path to see Takakkaw Falls! Family and pet friendly! Nice place to stop and have a little picnic. The path is long but easy to navigate. Bring water and wear comfortable shoes! The Falls look different from multiple viewpoints driving in as well as walking right up to them. You can get close enough to feel the waterfalls spray upon you. Fun place to spend an afternoon. Great exercise walking the pathways!

Such a beautiful place. We stopped here on our way to Emerald lake. Parking was limited but we managed to find a spot. There was a lot of people. The falls are a short walk from the parking lot.

This is one of the better surprise finds during the trip in this area. On a whim we decided to check out this falls and wow it's totally worth it.
Parking was relatively easy and free, there's a washroom at the beginning of the trail so use it before you hike. The trail was relatively easy except for the very end where it was steeper and a little rocky, but should be very doable for any able bodied person. The trail took around 20-30 min each way, nothing crazy. You will get slightly wet from the falls mist, so plan accordingly.

What can I say about the most impressive waterfall I have ever seen, one of the highest in Canada.
From the parking lot you can see the immensity, and walking for about 10-15 minutes along a pleasant path and crossing a bridge (very photographable), you reach a dirt road with the waterfall as the summit of the mountain, it is a true spectacle.
I consider it to be an essential part of Yoho Park.
From the fallen fountain, all the surroundings are wet and fine drops fall that after a few minutes end up soaking, if you are wearing a thin raincoat, it would be ideal.
My visit was in August, I don't know the route in winter.

Takakkaw Falls is stunning waterfalls in Yoho National Park, and this natural attraction is well worth the drive to a side road and a short detour from the Trans-Canada Highway. More of a walk on a paved path than a hike. You can climb up the rocks at the end to get closer to the base of the falls if you want (many people do) but you don’t get that much better a view than you do from the end of the path. Spectacular and amazing!

Amazing waterfall just 15 minutes off the transcanada highway. the waterfall is only a 5 minute walk from the parking lot which has bathrooms, picnic areas, and lots of trails along the river. to get to the waterfall, cross over the pedestrian bridge and head up the path. It's a popular place for tourists and rock climbers but well worth the stop. Rocks are slippery so be careful along the river and at the base of the falls.

The most beautiful waterfall i have ever seen! So happy to be able to see it in real life! Pictures don’t do it justice. Second tallest waterfall in Canada worth the trip to see! So strong and loud, it was such a beautiful site. We went at 8 am not busy at all only 4 other people there i’m assuming by noon it gets busy. There was a few switchbacks to get up the mountain to reach the falls but nothing a small car can’t handle! Beautiful view of the mountains and all around great experience. Would definitely recommend going here if you’re in B.C. worth the trip!! Outhouses there if you need to go to the bathroom.
Peyto Lake, a remarkable waterway nestled in a valley renowned for its vibrant turquoise hue and picturesque allure, stands out as an exceptional feature. Named after the early trail guide and trapper Bill Peyto, this lake is a sight to behold in the Canadian Rockies. Located amidst Caldron Peak, Peyto Peak, and Mount Jimmy Simpson, it serves as a convenient stopover for active travelers journeying from Banff to Yoho National Park.
Stunning Lake!
Peyto Lake is one of the most colourful glacial lakes in the Canadian Rockies. It is located along the Icefields Parkway, Peyto Lake is famous for its brilliant aqua colour which is created by the meltwater from the Wapta Glacier. The lake is surrounded by a forest. You can click some beautiful photos of the lake with a short, easy walk 10-15 mins from the parking lot to the viewing platform. For even better views, you can take a short trail up to Bow Summit for an elevated, less crowded view. Parking is available near the lake but it gets full pretty fast. Visited in July so it was not cold and trail was good too.
A must visit place when visiting Banff and Jasper!!
Highly recommend!!

This was an unplanned stop and my partner and I were pleasantly surprised by both the scenery and how enjoyable the hikes were around the lake. Informative panels talked about the history of the area, the native flora and fauna, and a great viewpoint at the end of the trail produced some great pictures of the unearthly blue waters.

One of my favourite stops along the Icefield parkway. The walk is short in distance but has a steep elevation going to the viewpoint. The bright aqua colour lake and mountains behind make this one of the most amazing views in the Banff/Jasper area. The parking lot was empty during a weekday evening visit.

Insanely beautiful. The crowds were not too bad at late morning. The hike up to Bow Summit Lookout is not easy but worth the view. Many hikers spotted bears along this trails so have a bear spray ready and make lots of noise while walking.

Embark on a brief 10-minute trail journey, and you'll arrive at the panoramic viewpoint. The scenery is nothing short of spectacular, featuring azure lakes set against the backdrop of pristine white snow-capped mountains, creating a mesmerizing tableau of natural beauty that can only be described as otherworldly.

Incredibly picturesque viewpoint at the end of a short uphill trek! Beautiful blue waters of Peyto Lake look surreal and is an iconic viewpoint in Alberta. The short but somewhat challenging hike up a narrow trail to the viewpoint dock is definitely worth it for the views and pictures! This spot is generally very crowded and the parking lots will be quite full resulting in multiple drive-arounds to find a vacant space. Check this view out if you’re able!

The beauty of the lake make this place so unreal. This place became one of my most favorite places of all time when i came here. And when the water hits direct sunlight, it becomes so bright and pretty. But you need to have a bit of walking to the Peyto Lake. So if you want to go here make sure you’re ready for the walk. But it’s actual just like 500m long so you dont have really to worry about the walk

I went to Peyto Lake because I could not find a parking spot at Lake Louise and we decided to go for a trip to Jasper and on the way there we saw this beautiful lake just less than an hour from Lake Louise. It took us about half an hour walking up on the pavement to see the view point. It’s built for wheelchairs. Parking is easy to find and it’s not busy at all. The pictures I took are no filter at around 8.45 am.

Short steep hike for about 0.5 miles and the view is mesmerizing! A popular filming location too, colors and the shape is marvelous. No need for hiking shoes since it’s a paved path but it you plan to stroll around, there are rough patches so prepare accordingly.

Unreal and absolutely jaw dropping beautiful.
The lake is an amazing Turquoise Blue color, and is surrounded by amazing mountains.
The lower parking lot is abput 0.6 mile to the viewing deck.
There is an upper parking lot, but that's for public buses, if you come late in the evening, you could park there, when the buses are not running and thats a 5 minute walk to the observation deck.
A must stop if you're on hwy 93 to Jasper.

I recently visited Peyto Lake in Alberta, and I must say, it was an absolutely breathtaking experience. The moment I laid eyes on the lake, I was mesmerized by the incredible color and the stunning view that unfolded before me.
It's as if nature itself decided to paint the waters with the most vivid shades of blue, creating a scene that looks almost surreal. The color is so striking and vibrant that it's hard to believe it's real.

A short but steep hike up a paved pathway to the lake viewpoint is well worth it! The day we visited Peyto Lake was a bit smoky but still beautiful. There are no picnic tables at the viewpoint, just a bench along the pathway.

A very beautiful lake shaped like a dog! Waterfalls can be seen in the distance falling from the glacier and a few streams from there joining the lake. The hike is short but steep and it starts from the parking lot. Went there in the evening and parking was almost empty.

Gorgeous! Various trails and vantage points for all skill levels to view the lake. Peyto is well worth the drive from Banff in and of itself, and there are so many other great stops along the way to enjoy the beautiful scenery I recommend setting aside the half day to explore the area.

Peyto Lake in Banff National Park is a true natural wonder. The first thing that captures your attention is the mesmerizing turquoise hue of the lake, a vivid blue that seems almost unreal and takes your breath away.
The lookout point at Peyto Lake offers a magnificent view of the lake and its surroundings. It's spacious enough to accommodate a good number of visitors, but what truly makes it remarkable is the jaw-dropping panorama it provides. The landscape is a postcard-worthy scene of the Canadian Rockies.
However, it's essential to be aware that the hike to the lookout point involves a significant elevation gain, which can pose a challenge for those with mobility issues. The trail can be steep in sections, so visitors with difficulties in climbing should take that into consideration.
In summary, Peyto Lake is a must-see destination for anyone exploring Banff National Park. The striking turquoise waters and the breathtaking view from the lookout point create an unforgettable experience. Just keep in mind the hiking difficulties for those with limited mobility when planning your visit.

Hike road was concrete and stiff (going uphill). There are some resting spot throughout the hike. No picnic benches available or shaded sitting area. There is overlook view point. Beautiful lake surrounded by mountains. Pictures are not doing justice. Absolutely must! This hike is handicapped accessible path to the end. Hike can be finished in an hour so people are in/out quite often. Loved the hike!

The reality is, Moraine Lake and Lake Louise are flat out crowded and unless you arrive first thing in the morning during peak season, chances are you will not find parking. What I learned is Banff is FULL of glacier fed lakes; you know that special blue water we all crave? Pictures don't even due this lake justice. Word to the wise, Peyto Lake is right off route 93. When you enter the area about 45 KM south of the lake, you will not have cell coverage. Is this really a bad thing though? The main observation deck for me was overwhelming with the casual on looker. But for an unhindered view of the lake, head down the small path to the right of the overlook tower and find you a spot with nobody in your way. Your pictures will be breathtaking. For the real adventurer though, get back in your car and head north on 93 and look out for a small pull off on your left. Head down that trail. You WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

Another must see place in jasper, for the colors and the lake and the glacier.
Of you don't want to walk up hill, park at the top parking spot, which is wheelchair accessible and stroller accessible for kids.
