I loved coming to this place with my adorable pomeranian dog and this park is huge with a dog park, playground, splash pad, picnic areas, bbqs, beach that offers many great facilities for families and individuals who want to spend time outdoors.
I started walking from Jack Darling Memorial Park towards the west side and it leads you to Rattray Marsh Conservation Area. It offers a unique experience to see critters, birds, plants and walking to the pedestrian boardwalks overlooking the wetlands. It really amazes me to see the beautiful scenery and inhale the fresh air during Spring time. Looking forward to Summer! Yessss!

I went there with my friends and it was splendid. The weather was nice and the view was so relaxing. Best option for people who love a long walk. The place is also good for doing barbecue, benches and tables are available for public.

Huge, clean park in Mississauga for family picnics. The washrooms are clean and that deserves a thumbs up. On weekends the park is pretty full and you have to wait to find a parking spot. There's a kids play area, splash pool, walking trail and lots of picnic tables, to set up your BBQ. It was my first time there and was impressed with the number of times I saw the garbage collected and how well maintained the park is. Definitely worth going again. 👍👍

Awesome place in Mississauga. A great water shore to rest your evening or to spend it on weekends, fall is an awesome time to visit as there are multiple trees changing and adapting them to fall colors. Benches kept well planned and away from each other so that every one privacy or their peace is not disturbed. Sound of waves on a cold day relaxes all the stress. Huge parking available. Some small water fountains for kids to enjoy and also a beautiful view of Toronto downtown from the shore.

Park is very popular. Has picnic areas, beach and a leash free zone. Toronto skyline with CN tower visible across the lake. Fall colours just setting in. Will look great by next week. Just remember parking can be a challenge and I saw people getting tickets for not parking in a regular spot.

Cool little park with an abundance of grass and tables for family picnics. Expect encounters with mallards, Canadian geese, and swans. Don't be surprised if they come towards you; it seems others frequently feed them so they aren't as wary of people. Also, check out the marsh just 5-10 minutes to the south!

Amazing park!!!! Well kept, clean, gorgeous mature trees, flowers, beach, playground. The perfect park for kids to play and at the same time perfect park for a nice walk. This park connects to the Rattray Marsh Conservation Park which is lovely to walk.

If you love nature and peace , or want to heal your soul and inner cells, you should come to Jack Darling Park at least once. come early on weekdays before 11:00 am is best. Long walks beside the water front, 2 restrooms 2 parks and, pets, bicycle, picnic areas and tables. Turquoise and clean water in some spots if you want to go in the water. At least 4 parking areas but the closest ones by the water, you must come supper early.I love this place! Good bless to all.

It was a lot bigger than what I thought it was going to be, dog friendly, and all around a good place to go if you ever feel alone and need to be near the water to think.

The jack darking memorial park is very beautiful with lots of scenic views all over the place. It’s having a special unleashed area for dogs and multiple trails are connected, there is water mash area to save the wet land. The trails are good to walk.

My boyfriend and I came to Jack Darling Park and did some paddling last week. It is very clean and family oriented place. If you are looking for a nice family get together and have some barbecue going on it’s perfect spot for you. Also, big playground a water sprinkler spot for kids as well. Two separate beach sections. Even if you get hungry there’s a nice lady with clean hot dog stand! Also ice cream man comes around too… this park has everything! It is very big and has different areas kinda little bit for everyone.
Please note: If you are coming on weekends come really early to get your parking spot. Park is huge and has 3-4 different lots but they all get filled fast to the point where people park on the Main Street. It gets crazy… or if you have truck come with one so you can park on grass..

Good place for a day picnic with family and friends. Kids love this place. Lots of place to play and run around. Clean and maintained. Lots of outdoor activities and fun. Plenty of free parking. Busy place. Safe and secured.
Very busy public park! We enjoyed the green space and access to the water. Free parking and clean bathrooms made it stand out compared to somewhat similar parks (ie Spencer Smith park). The playground and splash pad were quite basic despite the space clearly being a family destination. So many birthday parties and family gatherings going on. Definitely not a park to go to in the peak season if you want a tranquil, quiet park.
Chinguacousy Park is a great destination for families all year round, offering a wide range of activities for visitors of all ages. In the winter, visitors can enjoy tubing and sliding, while spring brings opportunities to partake in outdoor activities. During summer months, the park is an excellent place for picnics and water-based activities. Fall at Chinguacousy provides stunning displays of changing colours to admire.
Really very nice park to visit in core Brampton. Very big park where u see animals and horses. You can even ride electric scooter which is paid but worth to give a shoot. In winter they also have snow tubing and skies. There also a play ground for skating.

Tried this fun activity for the first time. Amazing experience!! Staff was friendly and quick. Short waiting and well organized. Awesome environment.
There is a café on site where you can buy hot chocolate and some snacks, with both indoor and outdoor seating options, so that's a nice option to warm up if it's especially cold out.
Free marshmallow and hot chocolate during Family day.
Staff is super friendly and experienced!

Great park with lots to do with kids. Good amount of picnic tables. A little pricey for carousel train and petting zoo but seeing as everything else is free I can understand the price point. $40 for 8 tickets. Both train and carousel take 1 ticket each ride. Ice cream truck sell $6.50 and up for most things. We brought some snacks and drinks from home so highly recommend this to save some money from concessions. Overall kids happy and willdefinitely be back

It's a magnificent park and so lively in summers. It has a splash pad and various rides for kids. Carousal, train and gives all picnic feel .Very well connected to public transport and it's a go to place for all ages. There is a small pond where I have also seen people boating. Overall it's a good place where you can have a good one day picnic and on weekends you will also find ice cream trucks. Washrooms are a bit unclean , rest all things I found good .

A large and very beautiful park great for having a picnic and parties with family and friends. Play areas are great for kids of all ages. It also has a splash pad and a train ride for kids. The trail is also very beautiful perfect for a walk or cycling. Kids can enjoy riding bikes or scooties on the trails as well. It also has a nice pond and some benches nearby to sit and enjoy the beautiful views. Entry and parking is free and has ample parking space. Overall it is a great place to spend a day in the outdoor with your friends and family.

I visited here last weekend with my daughters and their mother. We all had an amazing time. There is so much to do! A really nice park for the kids to play on, a small park for the little ones and a zipline! A fairly good sized splash pad for when it gets hot out and you want to cool down. You can go paddle boating on the pond for $10 for half an hour or play some mini golf for $2 a person! There's a wading pool as well and a greenhouse to look at some plants. There is also small petting zoo and pony rides as well and a Mary Go Round but the tickets are a little too expensive... $40 for 8 tickets. Not worth the 2 minute ride. You can also visit here in the winter to go skating and tubing down the massive hill on the property as well! They do sell food at a very reasonable price if you get hungry! Overall this place is amazing for friends and families to visit for a couple of hours or for a day for a picnic and just to get together and make some memories!

I would love to give a 3.9 rating to the park. It is a nice place to hang out with family and friends. The best part is that it is spacious so one can have a picnic with family and friends, for children there are distractions like swings, fountains and little zip lining. For winters they have a small area for skiing. A place to enjoy peace and nature time to time.

Winter- Enjoy tubing and slide
Spring- Enjoy outdoor activities
Summer- Best picnic spot with water activities
Fall- Enjoy colours
There are lots of activities for kids. There is slides and outdoor activities for all age kids. There is mini outdoor animal areas but it opens only in summer.
There is also carnival merry go round but it is not open right now. There is sufficient free parking space but you may face issue during peak time. The place is fully accessible so everyone in the family can join.

Beautiful park and so much to do especially for kids!
Even for a stroll it's simply lovely.
$6.00 for 6-8 mins of train ride which is decent but they did charge for a year old as well.
Ample space for picnics and seems like they have so much more to offer even in winter.
Definitely going to visit again and again!

It's an all in one park. They have a zip line for kids, big slides with built-in rope climbers, swings, splash pad, petting zoo, carousel, picnics, and barbecue areas. Older kids can even rent electric scooters available there. For the carousel, you need to purchase tickets.
There is a shop serving drinks, chips, fries, pizza slices, and other snacks for kids. However, on the weekend when the crowd is more, they're usually sold out on the pizza slices :(
It's a complete entertainer for kids while parents can relax keeping a watch!

Beautiful park!! Lots of activities for all ages.
Weather you are looking to enjoy brisk walking in summers or want to do snow tubing. Weather you have kids that you want to bring outdoors to make new friends or you are open to make some new friends yourself, its very lively place! Such childhood energy around the park that you can’t have enough.
Beautiful sunset by the pond, or just enjoying trails. Looking for some time with nature or spending some time with your thoughts, you find all in here.
Update:- Visited the park again and discovered yet new treasures of nature at this park!
Park had wedding Chapel, Green house, pony ride, tropical garden!
Will definitely go again :)

Uncomfortable seating and cold. Be sure to bring a cushion to sit on as the seats are wood planks and as well, dress warm because the heat probably will be off like I experienced a few days ago.

We put our 3-year-old in the Skate Canada program last year and were less than impressed. The hockey program he is enrolled in this year as a 4-year-old, on the other hand, is fantastic! The coach is great. The drills are fun and the keep the kids attention. The steps to learn to skate are well thought out and very effective. My son hated the Skate Canada program and loves the hockey one!

The staff at YSAH couldn’t be kinder or more caring. Add that to their incredible knowledge and insights and I always know that I’ll get the best advice about any ailment that affects my cat or dog. Last week I took in my aged, ailing cat thinking the time had come for him to cross the rainbow bridge. I've been bringing my pets to this veterinary clinic for two years, and I cannot recommend them enough. The level of care and affection they show to all my animals is truly heartwarming. Specifically, I have a 13-year-old dog who requires extra attention due to her age, and the team here has always made sure she receives the care she needs to stay comfortable and healthy. It's also a huge plus that they have Brazilian veterinarians on their team, which adds a touch of familiarity and ease for those who prefer to communicate in Portuguese. Their professionalism, combined with genuine care for animals, makes this clinic outstanding. Highly recommended!

A huge thank you to Dr. Crozier, Philippe, and the rest of the team for taking such great care of my Lady. Was able to have her examined within less than an hour of noticing her facial swelling and everyone was so gentle with me while I was panicking and fearing the worst due to past trauma of losing my other babies to cancer. I was updated every step of the way after her check in and even sent photos of her to put my anxious mind at ease. We love our vet, Dr Bastos. Our senior dog seems to have a new issue every other month. Dr Bastos takes the time to really assess him and answer all our questions. He even has gone out of his way to research an alternative route to surgery as our dog is very old and surgery isn’t really an option. Love the Shaw Festival Theatre. This is a must do when visiting beautiful Niagara on the Lake or a must do for locals who love live theatre. Main stage is lovely to catch a live show for the afternoon or evening performance. Prices vary per seat and show, however, high school students are around $28 which is reasonable for a 2-3 hours of entertainment. Recently saw Gypsy... Love the vintage feel of the show, set, and costumes😊💗.

We saw a delightful production of Gypsy, which was really well done. I also loved the theater itself. Lovely venue with outdoor gardens to explore during intermission. You could also pre-order food/drink for intermission, including some lovely Niagara-on-the-Lake local wines. We absolutely loved the experience and will definitely be back!

Went to see the play Gypsy at the festival theater. Parking on site is $15. There is also street parking available...that is also paid. There are 2 areas where you can get refreshments and a gift shop. There are outside areas where you can enjoy your refreshments, coffee juice, sandwiches tarts etc. The prices are NOTL prices. Beautiful grounds and landscaping. You can also take refreshments into the Theater.. The quality of the actors are top notch...stage props are very well done. All in all a class act. If you have never been GO !!! If its been a while GO!!
Really nothing beats live theater with amazing talented actors, stage sets and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Beautiful venue and hosts some of the best plays, both from their own production and also external ones. I went to see Mahabharata which is one of the most riveting play I have seen for a long time. Koodos to the production and all the actors on the play. Would recommend everyone to go to the Shaw Festival. Find a play you like and enjoy the arts and culture that Ontario offers.

We visited the Shaw 4 times this season and saw 4 completely different productions. The last one we saw was " The game of love and chance " and it was our favorite. The actors take on a different role for each performance and improvise each time. It was so funny and was appreciated by the whole audience. Congrats to the @TheShaw this season. We will be back!

We were in town and found out about the Shaw Theater.... went over and got tickets for the next day to see "The Importance of Being Earnest". What a thrill!! It was wonderful and we're so glad we were able to get tickets!! So enjoyable and professional!! We've told all our friends about the Shaw Theater and Niagara-on-the-Lake.... what a great place to visit!!

The Shaw festival is a must-see for any theater lovers who visit this charming town by Lake Ontario. This festival offers a diverse and exciting selection of plays from comedies to dramas, from classic to new discoveries from musicals to outdoor events.
I don't know if this is new. But this year, they are offering a stunning new venue (well, at least to me. I have not been in 20 years). Which is actually a tent with a wooden floor and stained glass windows, which reminds me of a shakespearean theater.
The Shaw festival is not only a feast for the eyes and ears but also the mind and soul. Many of the productions are vivid, exhilarating, and thought-provoking with superb performances from a talented Canadian ensemble. The festival also offers education and outreach programs such as pre-show talks. Backstage tours, workshops, and more to enrich your theater experience and connect you with artists and the community.
Absolutely amazing! Thank you!

The Ontario Science Centre offers a range of popular exhibits and touring shows related to science and technology. Visitors can enjoy interactive displays, an IMAX cinema, hands-on opportunities for learning, and a variety of engaging activities. The center features kinetic sculptures by artist George Rhoads, simulated ecosystems from around the world, art installations like Pipe Dreams by Bruce Shapiro, and galleries dedicated to human anatomy and science-themed arcade games. The Space Hall and planetarium are also highlights.
This place will always be my favourite place to visit. And not just for the nostalgia it provides, but it’s always endless fun and many things to explore and see and do - for ALL ages. What also makes this place so great is the incredible staff. The scientists and staff come and greet you and ask how you are and if you need anything. It’s such a happy and friendly environment, it’s no wonder there are so many children enjoying this lovely centre. My 4 year old loved it so much, we spent around 5 hours here because it was so interesting, engaging and welcoming. I’ve been going to this Science Centre since I was a small girl and will continue to for many more years to come.

I haven't been to the Science in years, but our Godson just turned 5 and they have never been before. It really hasn't changed as in hands on and exhibits to see. Some of the new exhibits were really good. He loves space, so level 4 was visited a couple of times. Excellent place to take the kids so they can learn, touch and experiment. We arrived there just after 10 and left after 3. Staff great , exhibits and everything else was really good. Thank you for a good day.

Absolutely great place. We loved the space section, a lot to learn in a fun and an intuitive way. Kids had a lot of fun learning. It would take half a day if you intend to take your time to see, learn and interact. There is easy access via transit, enough parking and accessible washrooms. Kids might get tired walking. But over all a great place to take your kids. Imax theatre was also cook.

The Ontario Science Center in Toronto is good for kids and families. It offers a wide array of interactive exhibits that engage and educate visitors of all ages. The facility is clean, with well-maintained spaces and restrooms.
The center's emphasis on interactivity and educational experiences make it a memorable destination. It has a restaurant that provides standard fare like pizza and burgers, it serves its purpose as a convenient dining option.

I haven't been back here for a while (a decade +) and forgot how fun and educational this place is! It's definitely a great place to spend the day with kids. There are plenty of interesting things for the adults as well. Did you know there's a big plant called Tulip Tree? I didn't. I like it that the entire place is spacious with high ceilings. There are so many interactive & interesting things strategically placed not too far from each other so visitors don't crowd into one place. Can you spot the dragon lizard?

Really fantastic place to spend a couple hours or more! The parking is $12 which is pretty reasonable and you catch a shuttle to the entrance. They like it if you get tickets ahead of time and if you plan on going a few times, definitely get a year pass. It’s very hands on in almost the entire place so it’s the perfect place to go with kids and toddlers.
The staff are all very friendly and they are constantly changing up the rooms to showcase different forms of creativity and innovation.
I prefer the weekdays because I could see the place being quite busy on the weekends.

Incredible museum that enchants young and old. The explanations for natural and scientific phenomena and the exhibits are made so interactive that you want to see them all!!! It is worth spending a day. If you have children they will appreciate it. You too. Parking costs 15 CAD. It has a cafeteria inside where you can eat or drink something. But you can also have your own food and sit at tables outside the dining room.

This is the most recommended place for kids. Visited the science centre with my 4 Years old. They had lots of fun and learning experience. There are 5 levels - we could visit only Bugs hall and Space one. Kidzone is super fun.
Experience and recommendations:
1. You can not cover this place in one visit so better to buy membership pass - Planetary pass.
2. Should plan full day as there are so many activities and level. Ticket says 30 minutes but it is an amazing place to spend days.
3. Also plan to see IMAX movies as kids will enjoy it.
4. You need to walk a lots so you may carry stroller for toddlers.
5. Weekends tickets are sold out quickly so plan in advance. The only hack is that members have special slots so you can find some slots if general category is booked.
6. There are experts available at each level and can share their knowledge.
Have fun and teach science.

A good place for Science lover and curious. So much to explore in a day, I'll say you'll need minimum 3 days to explore this place and appreciate everything. I took the annual pass to make sure I'll get to enjoy the place. With the pass you get to bring guests and free parking, 12 movie passes. It's hard to give details here, I think the experience is well worth it.

We came here as a year end event with the kids and kinda disappointed to see that a lot of things has been taken out. Especially the space area so little to see now. The gift shop is also gone just a small little both in the way out. They have 2 dinning area one with nicer tables and seats. The other just like high school lunch tables and seats. The kids had the most fun running around in the great hall as there was nothing there just open space. Not too sure if this was due to renovation of the bridge.

I came here with my 2 kids as tourists from Israel. We came in the summer. There were many kids there because of summer break. A lot of noise, very crouded. This place feels more like a playground than a science museum. The kids had fun. The place is nice, the staff is very helpful, but I feel this place is not as educational as it is playful.

I took my 6 year old boy, but I am trying to assess from the lens of all kids from 6 to 66. I can agree with the opinion I hear a lot, which is that the place could use some revitalization. The exhibits are good - they really are. But I don't think they have the initial appeal to hook in the youth who have so many distractions and other things competing for their attention. Same for the adult who will readily assume they know what the exhibit is about on a surface level, not realizing there may be more there, just a little deeper. The fact that it has stayed mostly the same for so long plays well to the nostalgia of the 30+ crowd; that makes us better tour guides for the next generation. Hoping to see things evolve with the times, regardless of the address of the Ontario Science Centre.

There are a lot of activities for small kids. My 5 year old and 4 year old kids loved the experience. We needed more than 3 hours to truly experience the whole place, which unfortunately we didn't have.
The exhibit halls have to be accessed from the rear entrance, and there are frequent shuttle busses that run between the main and the rear entrances.
The family center was really fun and engaging for us. It's a great learning experience.

Fun place, especially if you have a young child who needs stimulation- as a dad I had fun too engaging with my son. There were alot of things and they can find 1 thing they enjoy and stick with it for hours. Although the weekends can get busy with all kids running around, will feel like a daycare with no parental supervision. Other than that it is advisable to go on a weekday if possible.

A mixed bag.
I’ll start off by explaining that I haven’t been to the Science Center in well over a decade. But when I was a kid I would come all the time and would attend summer camps and would have some amazing experiences. But SO much has changed.
Start off by the bridge being closed for no posted reason which is really a shame because that entrance really immerses you in nature and starts your journey off right at the Science Center. Instead, you wait in line for a shuttle to take you down the hill to the rear entrance. (Is walkable, but we went in Mid November with a 4 year old and a 7 week old).
Walked in the rear entrance and the place seems empty. Lots of empty spaces and missing exhibits. The areas seemed unorganized except for the original Space and Living Earth exhibits. The way the exhibits were laid out really had so rhyme or reason and it was a really odd layout.
The food in the cafeteria is WAY overpriced. Bring your own food!
Now for the positives.
The exhibits themselves are great! Amazing information for all ages and lots to explore and get your hands on. My 4 year old loved the rainforest and the interactive Dino exhibit. And loves playing with other kids at the interactive floor in the lower level main hall.
Darija Dias — Google review
I will say the content of this centre is very extensive and can really be enjoyable and informative to folks of all ages. However, having parts of the centre closed was not what I was expecting such as the outdoor area which was odd to me since a lot of people didn’t have issues walking outside to get to the rear entrance instead of taking the shuttle due to long lines, and having the space planetarium closed without an explanation posted was very disappointing since I was looking forward to it. The OMNIMAX movie experience is very neat and a cool experience for seeing a movie on such a big screen. There are also a lot of interactive exhibits which help you appreciate the science behind it. One last thing, I understand that this is place is mainly for kids, but parents please look after your kids, I have seen so many without supervision and causing a disturbance which made it hard to enjoy certain attractions and can really make the time there enjoyable with so much screaming. Overall, not a bad place to go for the first time.

Great experience to re-learn the basic knowledge of Science.
Wish I took a picture of the planetarium but I was so busy following the comets ☄️ 🤣 plus the Human anatomy is something that I’m always fascinated about.
Not busy during the weekdays but planetarium is packed. These were taken during Spring time (April 2023 if I’m not mistaken) Wish I took my time to read the boards and comments and explore / observe / experience what the kids were doing with tools and machine etc etc kinda wanna go back! 😕

Always a fun time for kiddos. The large children area just re-opened.
There are dinning areas for people that bring their own food right across and a bit past the entrance to the cafeteria. Very busy on weekends.
The kiddos thoroughly enjoyed the temporary exhibit with the bugs

Science experiments on the go .. beautifully presented concepts and so so many things to explore . The ground floor had many sections where there are properties of magnets , fulcrum, pulley and so so much of physics with reasoning. The biology section has such pretty demonstable skeletons . The second floor is more of Watch and learn. The fourth floor has the kids of the toddler section which was so well maintained and equipped. . There are pretend castles and. play area . The planetarium lies on the same floor where a few cool display are present . I feel it’s a must visit .. my 5 year old loved it ❤️❤️

Аn excellent place to relax with the whole family. your children and you will be happy to get to this amazing place. There is a restaurant on the territory of the science center, so you will not go hungry. For an excursion to the science center, you need to allocate a whole day, since you will not be able to quickly get out of this labyrinth.

Loved my first visit to the science centre! We could not even complete the ground floor in three hours and aim to go again! Highly interactive with the kids experiencing sound by playing on drums or just going into a silent zone! Excellent exhibition on the developing embryo inside a mothers womb! Fascinating actually !
The small rainforest with its colourful frogs etc etc
kids can have their run recorded and test their rowing skills as well !
Enough said.. go experience

Since my family and I have a membership, we decided to come and visit the museum today. The bus ride was about 20 minutes. We walked instead of taking the shuttle bus because the line was too long. Previously, we have had experiences of food poisoning from the cafe, so we packed our own lunch and were able to get seating. This museum is amazing. There are exhibits for all- from deep water exploration to bat caves to the reproductive system. Came with kids and explored the play area on the second floor. Had a blast. Overall a great experience and would come back again.

Our experience at the Ontario Science Center with four kids was nothing short of phenomenal! The center's interactive exhibits and engaging displays captivated the children's curiosity, turning learning into an exciting adventure.
The variety of hands-on activities catered to different age groups, ensuring each child found something fascinating. From exploring physics concepts to interactive biology exhibits, the Science Center made education enjoyable for kids of all ages.
The staff's enthusiasm and willingness to assist with explanations added to the overall positive experience. It was not just a day of learning but a fun-filled exploration that left a lasting impression on the kids.
The highlight for our group was the IMAX film, a captivating visual experience that complemented the day's educational activities perfectly. The Ontario Science Center is a haven for families, providing an enriching blend of education and entertainment. Highly recommend for an inspiring and interactive day out with kids!

Such a great educational experience. You can go there with your family, too much fun for kids and adults. The staff was friendly. If you are visiting during winter better to know that when you arrive and get your tickets you have to wait for shuttle buses around 5 minutes so don’t take off your jacket ( if you have strollers or wheelchairs you will take accessible buses)
There are 6 levels. The best for me were levels 6 and 4. There is no level 1 actually. (the shuttle bus will drop you off in level 6)
Level 4 is great for kids they will play music, do gardening, bakery, building and other activities they can also play with water and build dams and … the good point is that level 4 has nursing room too.
There are sanitizers everywhere. Clean washrooms with changing table.
Better to bring your own snacks and water bottles. But there is restaurant and snack bar inside the building as well.
Parking lot costs 12$
Admission fee is:
22$ for adults
16$ for seniors
13$ for child 3-12
Under 3 is free

The Fort George National Historic Site offers tours and living history demonstrations of life during the War of 1812. The site includes reconstructed buildings from the war, as well as an original powder magazine from 1796.
Well maintained and beautiful green grounds. Presentations on the war of 1812 every half-hour by people dressed in the military uniforms of the era, in English and French. Musket and rifle firing demonstration (they are loud!), interesting soldier barracks, officer's quarters and kitchen (with live cooking!). Fun afternoon! Took us about 1.5-2 hours to experience it.

This was an absolute joy to visit. Adults will enjoy the history, the kids will enjoy seeing the staff dressed in their historical costumes. Musket demonstration was a lot of fun as well as both the music and cooking demos. The barracks are very well kept and you're free to wander the fort. Chat to the soldiers, very knowledgeable about the Fort's history. Entry fee is around $15. Fun time for kids and adults.

It was a wonderful visit. Being from the US, it was fascinating seeing things from the Canadian point of view. The folks there were very informative and answered all our questions. A number of the interns were college students. One was majoring in history and another young man was in medicine (oncology). Another gentleman did a presentation from an American soldier's perspective based on transcripts written for news articles back in the US. He was also an excellent fife player and loved music history.. We spent all day there and would go back again.

A great historical look at the War of 1812 from the British-Canadian perspective. Some great demonstrations include musket loading and shooting, musical instruments, daily life at the Fort, and other interesting tidbits of information. It is worth it to tour both Fort George and Fort Niagara across the Niagara River to hear about the war and history from both perspectives.. They also have Ghost tours.

A fun time was had by all. It was super informative. I absolutely highly recommend going to see the musket demonstration. I wish they let me fire one, but something about being untrained and liability issues...
All the different buildings had great displays, and the people working there really knew their stuff. I wish I was also there on a day for the fife and drum demo but alas, it was not meant to be.
I love the fact it's a national park so the entrance fee is not that high. Do not sleep on the gift shop either. I found all kinds of cute souvenirs.
Have fun and learn a lot!

Amazing museum. Reenactors demonstrate musket fire, fife and drum, life in barracks, officer living, and other aspects of life in the British army in 1811. Well worth your time. Probably would take about four hours to do the living museum completely. But forgo the displays if something live is happening. The docent at the gate will inform you of the schedule. Even if a rainy day, go!

The reason for my low review is because of the price. It is $12.50 per person and parking is $8. I would be OK with the price is there was actually more to see.
Most of the visit is reading stuff on the walls that you could pull up online.
They did have a musket demonstration and a drum and flute (different name) demonstration.
Here is a tip if you're going to go....ask to purchase the sales receipt of someone leaving for $10 (that's 2 people). Because you're allowed to go in, leave and comeback.

We was in Niagra falls late October. A lot of things was already closed and not much to do. We was glad we found jet adventure. It was definitely one of two highlights on our trip. The staff was super friendly expecially the lady at the check in. The boats are fantastic and feel absolutely secure. They have try and get wet seating . Due to the cold weather we choose try but I think in the summer the outside once are a winner. We went up the falls ( not close to the falls itself) but too the wirlpools . The captain eased us in but than the action came and we all had a blast. We been on jet boats before but the seats on this one was the most comfortable ever. The captain shared knowledge about the falls and the surroundings and the boat. Every one on the boat had a lot of fun and I think it's a must to do. They going out until the water freeze over so it's a pretty much going all year long

The Aga Khan Museum is a contemporary architectural marvel known for its bright white design. It aims to educate the public about the cultural legacy of Islamic civilizations, spanning from the Iberian Peninsula to China. With a minimalist and sleek building, it showcases a permanent collection of artifacts from the 8th to 19th centuries. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions that align with current scholarly research, emerging themes, and new artistic developments.
First time visiting the place. It's an amazing place that offers many activities in addition to their permanent museum. The whole place in general is phenomenal, and the arts in display are amazing even the pieces they added to the different corners of the museum, what amazed me more were the historical wooden pieces on the restaurant which I heard that it came from Damascus and all old hand made. I will revisit to explore more but a must visit place in Toronto.

Interesting place to visit at least once. It’s not big so you can see everything in 2hrs. I loved the fact that they offered free coat check but no one was there to supervise it. If you have an expensive coat/jacket don’t leave it there!
It’s a really beautiful place, and I enjoyed my time there.
However, I was not happy with the lighting of the whole place as I found it dark and not the best type for a museum since we are there to observe the items and read description.
The place could of used some nice music but didn’t have any. The security guards were good.
The items placed too close to each other and it didn’t have any specific order to follow. Lots of scripts, paintings and old books to look at.
If you love museums you should go but if you are looking for a fun museum definitely not the best to be at!

There is a Cafe if you wish to rest and take a bite.

This museum showcases an impressive array of antique items, predominantly hailing from Iran, India, and Spain. Despite its smaller size compared to behemoths like the Metropolitan Museum in New York, plan to spend a solid three hours to take in everything it has to offer.
However, it's important to note that the basement and second floor lack the captivating exhibits found on the main floors, which may leave some visitors wanting more.
Nevertheless, for those with an interest in exploring artifacts from various cultures, this museum provides a fulfilling experience, even within its more intimate setting.

This is a pleasant visit for the family, Sunday's are good with children as they have some craft activities from 12-4pm. The main exhibition was well laid out and plenty of manuscripts to see. The special exhibition had many beautiful garments. I enjoyed learning Islamic history from Persia, South Asia, China as well as some Christian and Jewish history. Quite amazed by the historical manuscript collection.
I'm Really Very Happy to See that Museum 😊.

The museum itself was set in a beautiful green area, with modern buildings and sculptures. The collections on display were truly amazing, offering a wealth of opportunities to learn. However, I must admit that the staff at the Esmaili Center were not very polite, which left me wondering about their behavior. While they tried to create a visually appealing environment, I believe more effort should be directed towards fostering a friendlier and more courteous team.
We visited on a door open day, and I'm not sure if it would be worth paying for a ticket on a regular day, unless you have a deep appreciation for Islamic art and culture.

The museum has a nice architecture, a warm vibe, and interesting collection of some artifacts which are mostly from middle east.
It is worth visiting as comparing to Toronto’s museums this one is more concentrated on one area. However, the provided data is scratching the surface most of the time.
The Rumi exhibition is nice, but again mostly scratches the surface of such a deep world of poetry.
Anyways, a good start.

Visited this museum yesterday. It’s a must visit place
For 20 dollars, it’s worth it
I learned a lot about Rumi and the impact he created. The poems he wrote as well as the ability to impact so many people. Celebrities are influenced by him, students are, everyone else are too
Also learning about the Islamic culture, I realized it’s a culture that values peace and love. It’s also a culture that values god
Amazing visit. I recommend it

A must visit place to get insights into ancient Islamic culture and it's connection with other cultures. You can see rate Islamic manuscripts and arts here. In addition, museum holds various exhibitions regularly. Staff here is helpful and always there to assist you in case you have any questions.

This was my second time at Aga khan museum. The first time was for a concert. Both the times, the hospitality of the staff were extremely warm and kind. I’ve never seen that kind of vibe from any of the museums before. Thank you for that! :)
The night in the garden of love exhibition was spectacular and made me learn some new things such as ‘Autophysiopsychic’ which very much resonated with me. Now I am digging the music of Yusuf Lateef!
Loved all the pieces and the huge wall mural depicting history with lights! (For the lack of better words) I was looking to see more on Sufi dance and the like but didn’t find much. Overall, loved it! Would love to visit again!
There is a nice restaurant and a cute little cafe in. The cafe thankfully has plant-based milk options for coffee! The cute little gift shop had exotic jewelry, scarf and lots of books on Sufi!

Beautiful museum show casing Islamic history. It especially gives detailed look into various Islamic eras
You would be enthralled by sheer magnificence of old manuscripts of Holy Quran, whereas at the same time u will observe items that were used by people and nobility in olden times in Islamic caliphates of bygone eras
The large exhibit showing historical timeline of various Islamic eras on wall through a projector, was specially liked by my kids. It was captivating to keep on looking at it and read about different eras.
On upper floors of museum there are constantly changing exhibition galleries.
Everytime u go, you will find something new. Which adds to aura of this place.
Live Islamic musical presentations by artists also take place especially on weekends
Nice gift shop for souvenirs.
Ample parking spaces. There is a canteen too.
All in all, a fine place for connoisseurs of historical art and craft.
Only thing which me sad was, that this museum is so interesting, time flies and you are left wanting for even more.
It's so good. I hope they can somehow add more exhibits. Because my thirst only increased once I finished my visit. 😀

Peaceful and calm walking around this museum. Learnt so much. Everyone working there from security to gift store to coat check and in exhibit staff were incredibly friendly and willing to offer suggestions on how to move through the museum! Can’t wait to return in the summer to see the grounds in full bloom!

A must-visit serene and educational spot in Toronto as it gives you an interesting insight into Islamic history/art/culture. The lighting is perfect for taking pictures too! Sometimes it's easy to get bored with museums. This was not the case! Some of the item are so rare and valuable, I felt lucky to see them in my lifetime.
I also visited the Museum's Temporary Exhibition Gallery, Afghanistan My Love which highlighted Afghanistan as a place of cultural richness, diversity, and deep love.

Excellent museum. We got to visit as part of Doors Open Toronto. They should advertise that they have underground parking clearly, so not everyone is lining up for the limited outdoor spots. The grounds of the museum are very clean and serene. It's calming walking around especially at night. They had live music in the courtyard, which was very nice. The exhibits are also great with lots of history. There are beautiful artifacts from all over the globe on display. The auditorium is very beautiful. We really enjoyed our visit.

The museum has good architecture. Good number of religious artifacts however not great amount of collections. This is one time go and watchable place. But, it is must go place who are interested to learn civilization and to know about Islamic traditions. Religion means the way of life. So, anyone can go and explore the different cultures. Good time to visit this place is in Summer. As the garden has lavender farm and other nice flowers.

Definitely a great spot to spend a Saturday or a Sunday afternoon. The museum has a cafe and a restaurant attached to it. I found the tickets to be a bit pricey considering the exhibition it had going wasn’t that expansive- but this is a personal opinion. Definitely worth a weekend or a few weekends in a year with your friends and your family.

The Aga Khan Museum is a truly stunning institution that is absolutely worth a visit. Its architecture is both impressive and beautiful. The museum's mission is to showcase and curate art from historically significant Muslim civilizations, as well as contemporary Muslim communities worldwide. This diverse collection spans across a vast geographic area, encompassing regions from Spain and North Africa in the west to the Middle East, South Asia, and even China in the east.

This museum is a gem: the architecture, the permanent collection, the gardens. It was our first visit and we truly enjoyed our time there.
We were welcome by a very friendly staff member who was generous in explaining the museum to us. It was thus easy to roam around and appreciate our time. There was even live musicians in the main hall! We were visiting between temporary exhibitions so only had the collections to visit. It was not a problem for us because that’s what we wanted to see. Plus, the price was adjusted accordingly.
The visit was very informative and interesting. The objects shown are quite impressive. The gardens and the architectural elements are just a masterpiece. You feel at peace visiting.
Really, a must see!

A beautiful museum with a great building. The museum items are from the middle east countries, like Iran, Turkey, Egypt...
They are really interesting, and the upstairs of the museum usually has a gallery.

All of materials which are shown are mysterious and interesting. I could have stayed so long time if I had had more time.
The salesperson of the souvenir shop was good person and I bought a pen in this shop.
It is a good memory for me to visit here!

Very beautiful museum, architecturally, with informative displays about the history of Islamic art. However, I was really disappointed to find out there is no prayer room available within the premises. I hope the management will consider implementing an Islamic prayer room, within an Islamic art museum - it’s only right.
The Canadian Canoe Museum in Peterborough is a museum that showcases Canada's rich history of water navigation. The museum houses the world's largest collection of canoes and kayaks, with around 150 on display and an additional 500 stacked in a neighboring warehouse. The center provides visitors with insight into the aboriginal origins of canoeing, its use in exploration and fur trading, as well as how it became North America's canoe-building capital from 1870 to 1940.
The new location is stunning!!
You definitely need to come see this place and experience this piece of Canadian history as it’s brought to life with this amazing museum and its beautiful exhibits.
And the silver bean café in the same building is fantastic. You can enjoy delicious treats and really nice local high-quality coffee and their famous strawberry lemonade for a great price.

It's quite an amazing new facility that just opened on May 12, 2024. You can see the history of Canada through many of the old canoes.

Pretty niche museum but as a someone who does a lot of canoe camping it was cool to see how the technology and designs have developed over the years. There is also some great info on how Canoes were used commercially back in the day which we found interesting.
We didnt know they still had a mask wearing policy. They gave kn95 masks to walk through which I know a lot of people dont like. Id consider bringing your own mask.

Never really knew that canoes had such a huge contribution to what we are today!
Must visit this museum at least once. It's so informative, will definitely widen your perspective.
The whole place is beautifully maintained with staff who have a very good knowledge on the subject. Each & every object has detailed information and explains the historical impact & importance.
Being an immigrant myself, this place helped me gain so much knowledge about Canadian history. Definitely worth the time for people all ages.
Their is also a memoir shop inside with things such as miniature canoes, books & magazines, collectables, t-shirts and so on.
Price for an adult is $14 but you can avail a discount if you're a student. My friends definitely did. We paid $28 for the three of us.
Totally worth it!

The fact that this museum was only about canoes and nothing else made it a kind of boring and after a while you have the feeling of already having seen everything already. On the other hand it's an awesome service to get in for free on thursdays and the souvenir shop has many things to offer! I think I actually spent more time in there than in the museum itself.

The Canadian Canoe Museum presents how indigenous peoples and their creation of canoes and kayaks allowed this country to be discovered, mapped, goods transported and communities built. The Hudson Bay company giant transport canoes were mind-boggling!
The display on recreational canoeing (and sail canoes!) was great. It was and is a way to see this magnificent country from angles it could not otherwise be seen.
The differing styles of dugout, birch bark and wooden strip & plank canoes and seal skin kayaks was amazing. I especially appreciated the extensive information on how different indigenous communities shaped them differently to suit the kind of water they were dealing with.
It is also the story of the passion and vision of people who collected & preserved this important part of our history.
The gift shop is also wonderful and I bought several gifts - and a comfy Canadian-made sweatshirt for myself. The volunteers were extremely helpful & COVID-19 protocols carefully observed.
It was a wonderful outing for myself and my niece. She actually got married there a few years ago. I recommend it if you are in Peterborough.

The Canadian Canoe Museum is awesome! Anyone who has a love for canoeing will enjoy this museum. They have a very impressive collection of canoes. My favourites were Bill Mason's, Pierre Trudeau's, Gordon Lightfoot's, The royal family, and The Starkell's canoes! I will be returning for another visit once the museum moves to the new location on the river. The current building looks a little depressing from the outside but once you get inside you realize how amazing this place is. The only complaint I have is that while I was there, the Gordon Lightfoot plaque with the music wasn't working, so I couldn't hear what the song Canary Yellow Canoe sounds like. This song is hard to find because it is not on Youtube or Spotify or anywhere else on the internet and the only way to hear it is by buying the 4 CD box set that costs $55!. Hopefully they get the speakers fixed soon. When we arrived the person at the front desk gave us a great introduction and he was very excited to see us. We also had the whole museum to ourselves as we were the first to arrive all day. Other people did show up throughout the day. I hope you enjoy the museum as much as I did!

The Trent-Severn Waterway is home to the impressive Lock 21 - Peterborough Lift Lock, which raises boats a staggering 65ft. This historical landmark is an engineering marvel that has been in operation for over 100 years. It's not just a summer destination, as visitors can also enjoy the ice-covered waterway during winter. The lock is surrounded by green space and offers ample parking, making it an ideal spot for picnics and outdoor activities.
Captain Jody is very entertaining during his commentary & interaction with passengers! Whole crew is friendly & attentive & helpful with my mobility & passengers in general. I would highly recommend this cruise for everyone including disabled persons.

What an experience! Must stick around for 30 min or so, so that you can see boats going up as well as coming down, and do do this from both levels. If you have more time then you can take the paid (no advance online booking possible) waterway and locks cruise.

Riverview Park & Zoo is a wonderful destination suitable for families with young children. The park boasts a playground, splash pad, and mini-train ride in addition to over 25 animal exhibits. Visitors should plan ahead and purchase tickets online to avoid disappointment as the park can get busy on weekends. The zoo is clean and well-maintained, providing a pleasant experience for guests of all ages. Peacocks add to the charm of the park, and visitors can even enjoy lunch with them!
My family loves this zoo. This was our first time there since the pandemic and we had a great time. We went on a Sunday and it wasn't crowded at all. You may want to check ahead, I'm glad I did because we had to buy tickets ahead of time. I was surprised how clean it was, which was really nice. The peacocks were beautiful and you can have lunch with them.
It is perfect for families but anyone can have a great time. We didn’t even cover the whole park in a day; I can’t wait to come back! The animals are incredible! I highly recommend this place.

What a great place to bring the kids and spend the day! Large open playground with a great selection of activities for all ages. Splash pad is small but lots of fun. The stroll along the woods to see the animals was amazing. the train ride was a bit further away but worth the walk. there is a small $2.00 fee There are mosquitoes neat the snack bar so have bug spray. plenty of picnic tables around to sit and lots of shade from the tall trees. There were washrooms all around and were very clean.

My kids loved it. There are quite a collection of animals and they looked really well taken care of. The area is clean and I would say kid friendly. The playground is really good as well as there’s an option from toddler to big kids to use. The kids enjoyed the splash pad as well. The kids love the train ride and the payment for the ticket is very affordable. You just need to go to the very end of the zoo to ride the train. There is a picnic area and a lot of free parking. There’s a washroom at the entrance of the zoo and at the end as well right pass the waste water treatment plant.

I still can't believe that the zoo was free! It has everything! Animals, craft area, snack shop, little train (that costs $4/adult), 2 playgrounds and a splash pad. If we lived in Peterborough, this would be our go to place. My kids when asked me to move to Peterborough purely because of this place!

This is such a cute place, small but interesting. Its also free, and you can make donations at your discretion. It's especially great if you have kids. There's a good park right next to it! They have cool animals like reindeer, camels, peacocks, and meerkats! But also more common animals like pigs, turkeys, tortoises, and snakes. It's definitely stroller or wagon friendly, and there's lots of parking. There isn't an incredible amount of walking to do, so if you want a nice short day out it's perfect.

Karlo Estates Winery is committed to sustainability and has formulated the world's first certified vegan wine without compromising on the quality of their product. Winemaker Derek Barnett is not afraid of a challenge, as evidenced by his latest achievement in creating Sextus, a blend of six Bordeaux varieties that hasn't been successfully produced since the 1800s.

My wife and I decided on a St. Patrick’s Day visit to Prince Edward County. Marcus, a friend of mine, strongly suggested we visit Karlo Estates. We booked our time and arrived to a classic old barn, with an intimate setting inside gorgeously decorated!
Our hostess who directed us through our wine that day was Sarah. After she introduced my wife Andrea & I to the local celebrity, Little Bug the 14 year old cat, she told us some of the history of the barn, the winery, as well as the vegan focus of the production.
She walked us through flights of wine, and was very knowledgable about each one of them sharing her personal descriptions of their character.
After chatting for a while with other clients, and Sarah, we purchased some beautiful wine and then finished off the visit by wandering through the property.
We will most definitely be sharing our experiences with friends, and will certainly be back.
Thank you Sarah for a wonderful experience.

Very unassuming place for wine tasting in a good way so in terms of atmosphere it was a neat place. Service was friendly. They don’t really have a food menu - I would say more snacks. Wine was okay (reds were not affordable to buy by the bottle and their cheapest red was a Pinot noir for $39 which was too youthful).

Doug, LA and all of the staff were so lovely, caring and welcoming. We had an awesome chat with Doug and LA about wines, travel and just some other stuff. By the end of the weekend, it felt like we’d known them for years. The wine is exceptional and the people are even better. We will definitely be back. Thank you Doug and LA for making our weekend fabulous. Oh, and Friday night trivia with Ethan, the county queen, was so much fun and cozy. Definitely recommend!

Karlo Estates was legitimately the highlight of my trip to the county. I had a great time visiting them and I already look forward to the next time going back!
When we first got to the winery, at the parking lot, we had a little fun encounter with a dog owner who was trying to get his new puppy out of the cars she was hiding underneath in. After we successfully got the puppy out (thank goodness!), us and the dog owner just had the most amazing time chatting inside the bar area of the winery. It was such a beautifully decorated speakeasy. Not only the wine collection was tasty, the hostess LA was super friendly + attentive. We felt like we were just hanging out with some long time friends there and hours gone by just like that!
Thank you LA, thank you Karlo Estates for giving me such an incredible + memorable afternoon.

Being very hospitable. In addition to its first class wines, it also had good food.
I ordered the veggie burger and the blueberry pie, both of which were delicious.
To taste any wine (from the cheapest to the most expensive), you only need to pay 4 dollars.
I recommend this place to everyone. Be sure you will not regret going here.

First winery experience and it was a good one! Be aware all snacks are vegan. The snacks were as good as they could be- hard to replace real cheese and charcuterie meats!
Staff were attentive, warm, and knowledgeable about the wines on offer. “Speak easy” room was cozy and full of character. The perfect spot to warm up on a windy fall day. Definitely worth the visit !

I'm not going to review the wine other than to say all of the wines we tasted at Karlo's were excellent with a wide and interesting variety.
What I'm going to review is everything else around the wine. Firsty the 1800s barn this winery is set in is spectacular visually and very well set up with vintage furniture. Then off the main bar is the speak easy, cozy, inviting, and homely.
An unexpected surprise.
Next and as importantly are the people that work there. Wonderfully personable, knowledgeable, friendly, and non intrusive.
The atmosphere in the speakeasy is family, warming, and whimsical.
They have local artists play in the speakeasy regularly, but it doesn't need them. It's a perfect way to spend time with great company, great surroundings, and great staff.
If you are within a 3 hour drive, go, please! You will not be disappointed! But reserve! It should be busy.

One of the best wine experiences I’ve ever had! Nothing short of spectacular. LA was an amazing hostess and provided detailed insight on each wine offered. The place has an unique barn vibe to it with a beautiful trail towards the mini bridge. I’m definitely returning after today’s experience!

Went for the mimosa and pancake brunch.
Such a great vibe and good food.
Can't wait to return.
Beautiful little spot to go for a walk especially if you are staying in the Ramada hotel nearby.
The park has a really nicely maintained cement path as well as a large fenced dog park area.

Great trails for walking or biking. It connects over the bridge to the Waterfront trail in Belleville which goes all the way to the east of Belleville as well as to the North. Very safe way to get around Belleville. The trails are well maintained and all of them are very smooth except for one section behind the hospital.

Hands down one of my favorite trails to do in Belleville! Especially for cycling and at dusk!
🌌🖤💜💙🤍
This trail is smaller than some of the other ones around town but it's still gorgeous nonetheless and a decent ride and pretty big walk if you do the entire Zwicks trail. For light walkers or strollers I suggest starting with this side and if it's not enough then do the whole loop. This side is the opposite of the children's park so it's normally not as busy and more quiet, but it depends on the day and if anything is going on down there. There's also the dog park on this side but it's all fenced off and is only a fraction of it.
During the winter the top of the main hill is one of us locals favorite spots to toboggan too!
Overall for Belleville it's a perfect little park on both sides of Zwicks with a little bit of everything for everyone of all ages. If your visiting Belleville and want one in town I highly recommend this one and Riverside Park as well. Both have beautiful trails along the water and both have parks for the kiddos

Say what you will about Belleville. Yes it’s a small town but it’s location more than makes up for it! What can be so bad when you’re right next door to Prince Edward County? 🥳
The area by the bridge is full of plentiful green space and waterfront. It’s very pleasant. 👍😎

It is a beautiful large park for walking and relaxing with the family. I went in autumn and it was beautiful with all the colors. Parking is free. Several portable toilets and soccer fields. Scenic picnic spaces and a playground.

This is a pretty big park and is also dog friendly. They can go off leash. I went for a morning walk and there were several dogs and their owners walking in the park. The surrounding area is picturesque too and there are some area where there nicely landscaped, making it a very nice place to exercise. The path is wide and the place is well maintained. I did not see any homeless people so I assume it is safe too.

I mainly go down to the dog park with my boy, Bogan. The lighting at the park makes it almost useless at night, because there us none. On our walks around zwicks, the trail is well lit with many benches and picnic tables to stop and take in the views.

Sandbanks Provincial Park is a recreational oceanfront park that boasts the world's largest sand dune system and freshwater sand bar. It is situated on the picturesque beaches of Lake Ontario in Prince Edward County, offering visitors an opportunity to escape city life and enjoy peaceful rural surroundings. The park features various beaches with clear blue waters, picnic areas, camping sites, and level grounds perfect for families with small children.
Stunning park! Stayed over the May long weekend, and it was a great trip. We were in Outlet River Campground B, highly recommend, very private camp sites. Bathrooms and showers were also very clean. Lots of nature and trails to explore! Beach is a 10/10 too!

We did a 450km day trip to visit the park, after watching a TV documentary about it. The park facilities were not open yet but we could walk the dunes. We practically had the dunes to ourselves and spend a good 3 hours walking around and had some lunch on one of the higher dunes with some good views. It was very windy so didn't see much animal life. Overall feeling I think the TV show was more impressive but we still enjoyed the silince between the dunes.

View-wise it is breathtaking! Anyone who enjoys beaches or swimming or open views or fresh air from the lake won’t be disappointed! The water is not deep, perfect for family with kids. It’s already warm in the shallow end at the end of June.
Facility-wise, the park has campgrounds with shady and open surroundings, washrooms and showers with hot water as all provincial parks do in Ontario. The water temperature and faucet can use some work, but generally functional and useful.

Just a spectacular place to explore, relax, and do great outdoor activities. Did a nice 40km gravel bike ride a bit through the park . . . Perfect for out and back. The next day did a huge hike over the dunes to the highest point that offered an amazing 360 view of all the scrub. Went down to the beach on the south side and had some equally great views. Dress for sand. They're not joking with the name.

Sandbanks provincial Park was absolutely beautiful! I went during the peak of the summer, when it was one of the hottest days of the month, so the beaches were incredibly busy! If you want to get a good spot, I do recommend to go early! I didn’t end up spending that much time at the beach, I decided to take the trails, and I’m so glad I did! The sandbanks dune Trail was
mostly sand, so make sure you have decent footwear! It was quite the challenge on such a day, but made the dip in the water that much better at the end of the day! The beach was fairly shallow, so great for kids!

It might be a good place to enjoy the beach, but not friendly with hikers especially when it is a sunny hot day. No tall trees, shade along the trail. We were like dying hiking.

We go camping every year, and Sandbanks is one of our favourites.
We went to Cedars campground and it does not have electricity, which is fine for us. Free water supply is nearby, and shower+washroom facility and within a 1-minute walk and clean.
The beach is beautiful and long.
There are also hiking trails that are not difficult.
There is a convenience store and restaurant on site. Prices are fair.
You will not be disappointed.

We spent three nights at Sandbanks in the Woodlands section. As the name implies this area is heavily wooded providing lots of shade. The outer rim provides more privacy. The comfort station was well maintained, as well as the campground and beach. If you’re into kayaking or canoeing, I highly recommend doing the channel that connects East Lake to Lake Ontario. The one disappointment was there was very little wildlife, accept for beautiful Swans. If you’re into bicycling be sure to bring your bicycles, as the roads through the park are paved. There are no lifeguards.
John Wesson — Google review
Stretches of long white sand beaches, beautiful clean water and dunes to play in, hard to believe Sandbanks is in Ontario. Off season a quiet place to walk dogs off leash and peaceful. Highly recommend!

Really loved Sandbanks park. We were fortunate to visit on a warm October day when the park was virtually empty. The beach is stunning and my wife and I had it virtually to ourselves. We also walked one of the hiking trails and we’re very impressed. I understand this place is jam packed in the summer so recommend visiting off season!

Sandbanks has always been one of my favourite beaches to go to! It's gotten more and more popular over the years so it gets quite busy. I recommend buying a reservation online because in the summer months the park will close early because it's at max capacity. Great beach and water! The hiking trails are great too!

Loved this park! It is HUGE! The beach is massive with a great dog beach as well. Can get very busy however we didn't have any issues. We had a site in a forested area, which was great, however some of the field sites not in the forest didn't feel as private.

Very beautiful and serene beach, and clean too. Impressive shoreline almost competing against Caribbean beaches. It’s advisable to book the parking online in advance. Get there early to beat the rush on weekends.

I visited during the fall (the last weekend before the park’s winter closure) and it was beautiful to see the blue water contrasted with the warm colours of fall leaves. There are a few shorter hikes you can do, making it a great place to stop for the day. Would recommend the Dunes Trail and Lakeview Trail. Very interesting to see the dunes. I brought my dog and it’s one of the few parks with a significant beach area where dogs are permitted. Use Google Maps to find the trail heads because that’s 1 thing the park map is missing.

We stayed at Sandbanks in mid-October in the Woodlands Campground for 3 nights. Because it was late in the season, we chose a full sun site in order to stay warmer. The site, 608, was spacious and was easy to get our 30’ travel trailer into place. The one strange thing about the electric (30/20 amp) was that the pole for the site also serviced the adjacent site. In our case, the pole was on the curb side of our trailer. Although it worked because of our long cord, I would have liked to choose a site based which side the pole was on. I am not sure this information is available specifically on the reservation website or if it is an look e too o be discerned from the pictures of the site. Of the campgrounds that were open, this campground was the best suited for larger trailers and RVs. There was another campground that was not open that looked promising. The older campgrounds would have been fun for me back when I was tent camping many with some direct beach access. The restrooms and showers were clean and had plenty of hot water and pressure. The one drawback was the button that needed to be pushed to continue the water flow. We really enjoyed exploring the park and the surrounding area. I really appreciated that the park provided dog friendly areas at the beaches. The beaches were expansive and the dunes were beautiful. The area has a large number of wineries, 35 in Prince Edward County. There was services such as a grocery store, bank, and gas station with diesel in Wellington about a half hour away. The cell service at the campground was not reliable. 1 bar of Verizon. I would definitely return to this park although I suspect that it is a much different place in the height of beach season.

This beautiful blue water beach was super crowded on a sunny day. The water wasn’t so cold and you could easily swim or play. Outlet beach is usually crowded so we always go to Dunes beach. The campsites were pretty close to the beach and you could easily walk around. Restrooms are not so clean, but manageable. Try to reach early to reserve a good spot under the shades.

Lovely beaches, shallow shores, clean sand. Great way to spend your weekend on the beach, relax with family, enjoy the sun while you can. Protip: get your day permits online and that'll save you from waiting in lines at the gate. Clean restrooms, changing stations, cafes and ample parking. Perfect getaway.
We also camped at one of the sites, loved it. Will be back soon.

The Sandbanks are one of my favourite places for summer camping.
The Dunes beach is walking distance ( by trail ) from the far campsites with hydro.
There is washrooms / showers on site.
The Dunes beach has a playground, volleyball and washrooms. There is parking available.
If you have paid for camping your day parking is included.
Great place for overnight camping for beginners.

We love going here every summer. Outlet beach is always packed during summer weekends so go by 10 am or at 3 pm. We love climbing the sand dunes at Sandbanks Dunes Beach. Lots of trails and lots to do. I suggest you book a day pass and preregister. This way you will always have access.

I really love Sandbanks campsite and beaches. You need to make sure you book your campsite prior to your visit and if you’re visiting for the day, make sure to buy the day-use pass online since they sell out very fast during summertime.
I love the beaches here. The public use beach is busier than the beach at the campsite, but both are equally enjoyable since they have shallow sandy beaches.
The park is well-maintained and washrooms and garbage bins are available.
Tranquil lake with no obvious water source, popular for angling for bass, pike & sunfish.
Amazing scenery and there's a nice walking trail. Ample parking nearby. Breath taking views. Restaurants nearby or have a picnic in the park.

A cool park where you can see Lake Ontario and then Lake on the Mountain around 60m above that (you really understand the name when you see it). I’d say it’s probably not worth a long drive but definitely worth a stop if it’s on your way. A new viewing deck is being built currently

It's a nice place to stop, but I didn't find it as impressive as it sounded. I wouldn't recommend making a trip from Toronto to see it, but if you're visiting the area (e.g., at Sandbanks), then it makes sense to add it to your itinerary.

We went from Toronto, almost 2 hours drive. It doesn’t worthy. It was just small lake and few tables. It’s exactly the same as photo that I shared. It’s good for local people that not need to drive hours.
If you're a cider enthusiast, you'll want to check out The County Cider Company - Tasting Room. This cider house produces some of the best cider in Ontario, and their views of Lake Ontario are truly stunning.
Visited this place and was not disappointed! I came with a friend on a mission to get the Blackberry Peach Cider. We ordered it during our lunch in Picton. The place was well kept and clean. Staff were nice and helpful. The products they sold could only be bought in person or online. They had a tasting menu. As well, there was a restaurant on site (closed now) and some photo ops nearby. Highly recommended. You won’t be disappointed.

We bought a 6-pack to take home. Thanks for a great experience!

We have been coming here for many years and we have always had a great time. The location overlooking Lake Ontario is absolutely stunning. The ciders they make are some of my favorite and definitely worth taking home to enjoy again and again. The wood fired pizza has been impressing us for all the years we've been coming here. This place is worth the drive and we love telling friends that this is a must visit place in PEC!

The staff here are so friendly and knowledgeable and are excellent at reading people. Based on what we liked and didn't she was able to make suggestions for other items we might like and she was bang on. The old barn is such a beautiful location. The views outside are stunning. And they had a lot of neat merchandise. Enjoyed our time there.

Scheduled a tasting here and was not disappointed. They have a variety of ciders and we got to taste 6 with a very enthusiastic guide for 30 minutes. It was really inspiring to hear the little details on the cider creation from someone who really loves what they do. My personal favorites were the cider/wine infusion, the pear cider, and the blackberry peach. Make sure to make a reservation before hand as they are quite popular.

The views and the beauty of the business are what catches your eye as you drive in. The walk into the resturant and the views take your breath away.
The young man serving us was friendly and knowledgable. Especially when it came time to ordering our the ciders.
We ordered pizza and were brought back to our trip in Italy.

Had an amazing lunch here. I had BBQ Chicken wood fired pizza which was delicious! I decided to have a black berry peach cider with my pizza and it was very refreshing. The location of restaurant is on a hill and the patio provides great views of the surrounding area and Lake Ontario. You can walk through the vineyard and orchard too. The cider shop is directly across from the restaurant on the ground floor of an old barn converted to a store. Other pizzas we ordered were the Margarita and the Funguy which were enjoyed by others at my table.
Side note,
We almost didn’t get to have our lunch here as staff were turning customers away do to the internet going down. I would recommend having hand written receipts on hand for these situations, lots of customers will still pay in cash.

The Friends of the Penitentiary Museum is a group of people with a shared passion for Canadas Federal penitentiary system. The museum houses interesting artifacts relating to the correctional history of Canada, dating back to 1833. Tours are available for visitors who want to learn more about the system and its workings.
For a museum that is by donation only, it was VERY informative and well put together. We were in here for a couple of hours and learned many things! There is plenty to see and read about. To add, one of the volunteers, a gentlemen by the name of James? Carried a lot of knowledge and information. Highly recommend stopping by here if you're in the area!

Excellent museum and great value for a by-donation entrance. A good balance between the little-known history of Canada’s corrections system, and exhibits that humanize the inmates and focus on their daily lives. It was also great to chat with the former corrections officer who now volunteers with the museum. He had many interesting and valuable insights.
We particularly enjoyed the section of inmate’s art, the level of talent was incredible. Thank you to the inmates for loaning their art to the museum.

I have visited this museum multiple times over the past two years. It is run solely by donations. The museum is self-guided although there are always friendly staff happy to talk if you have questions or want to learn more. The lower level was much more interesting to me as it featured things from attempted escapes and the weapons inmates made while inside the pen. If you're interested in learning more about this historic penitentiary, then the museum is worth a visit.

We took the extended guided tour, and Paul, our guide, was amazing.
This IHG Hotel has both indoor and outdoor pools, as well as a gym with views of the water. It is centrally located just 5 minutes walk from Kingstons waterfront, K-Rock Center and 1000 Island Cruises.
The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was so busy yet the staff remained helpful, pleasant, professional and patient. A very clean and modern atmosphere. Loved our stay and will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!
Very close to many opportunities the city of Kingston has to offer.

The hotel is centrally located and very convenient. Check in was smooth and efficient. The room scrupulously clean. We were traveling with the dog and I am assuming this was a pet friendly room but it was spotless - even for a picky human!
The beds were extremely comfortable and, high marks for good, fluffy pillows!
The only downside was that the dog was not allowed in the bar or restaurant, only the patio, which in Kingston in December, and in the evening, was not appealing. We managed to make-do and our waitress even managed to find some dog treats and was able to stay in the puppy's (and owner's)good graces.

I wasn't very impressed with this location.
They unprepared for me and my group.
The room they gave me was over the air conditioners so I heard the air conditioners all night long. It's sad they treated a bus driver in this manner.
Also there was a party going on outside and I heard the party going on until 2:00 a.m..
Overall I think this hotel location could have handled the situation so much better.
Perhaps this was an off day. I am willing to give Holly and the benefit of the doubt as I normally have a much better experience.

I stayed at this hotel with a friend when we went to a mutual friend's wedding last year. While the room we stayed in was comfortable, clean, pleasant enough, and we enjoyed walking around the waterfront area, things did not go smoothly or completely well, from the very beginning, and I was overall pretty dissatisfied with the experience.
Right from the start when I was booking the room, I was unhappy. I called the hotel to ask about what the price for a room would be. I wanted to confirm with my friend if the price was OK with her or if we wanted to compare with somewhere else. I called and was informed of the price for a regular room with two queen beds. Then I got off the phone and talked to my friend. When I called the hotel back about an hour later, the agent I spoke with gave me a different price, higher than what I was initially quoted. I was given no warning that they had a fluid pricing scheme that would change in such a short period of time, and the agent didn't care that I had been told a different price and had not been informed and that I was unhappy, so I ended up having to pay a bit more for the second night which made me mad.
The room we were assigned was close to the elevator, which was nice for convenience but we could hear the elevator every time someone got on or got off. It was a little annoying, but mostly tolerable, but things got worse from there.
The night of the wedding we got in kind of late because we were up dancing with our good friend, so we slept in the next morning. Fairly early in the morning, I could hear two people talking loudly outside our room. I could tell from what they were saying to each other than they were hotel staff, I think maintenance staff most likely. They hung around in the hall near our room for quite some time. I just tried my best to ignore it until finally they went away. When I raised this with the receptionist later on, she asked if we had called the front desk. It had not crossed my mind. While perhaps I should have done so, and I will keep that in mind in the future, I did not appreciate that this had been a problem to begin with and I thought it was very inconsiderate.
The morning after the wedding my friend and I had planned to take a city bus to the train station because the fare is pretty reasonable. I had looked into the bus routes a little bit ahead of time, but I figured the front desk would have information about the bus schedule and which route would be the best one to take to the train station. I figured that was a pretty common thing that guests would ask about. Ha! When I went to the front desk, they had absolutely no information about the bus schedules whatsoever, and simply said "We recommend you take a cab." Well, we didn't want to take a cab, we wanted to take a bus. We ended up figuring out where the bus stop was on my friend's phone on Google Maps on our own. I was pretty disappointed that the front desk was no help in that regard.
One positive thing I can say is that they had a room behind the front desk where we could keep our bags until we left, since we were going to get something to eat in town after check-out time. But I think all hotels have that, so it's not exactly a perk.

Beautiful rooms, very clean and bright. Bathroom was lovely and pristine cleanliness. Ventilation system was a bit noisy but a lot of that's on me as I'm a light sleeper. Staff were fantastic! From housekeeping to front desk! Shout out to Sam(antha?) at the front desk for being so kind to me when I had a problem on my final day there. My room was right over the harbour, lovely view! Really enjoyed my stay and hope to be back!
P. S. I should mention that I got a discount rate as I was there with a large group for a conference. Some of the high prices I saw on the website I do think are over-inflated as it is an older building.

The location of this hotel can not be beat! It is at the heart of Kingston with dozens of restaurants and shops seeming to radiate from the front doors. The room we had was very clean and quiet. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent. What really made the stay special was Emily at the front desk. We were in Kingston for surgery I required at a nearby Hospital. Emily was aware of my situation, and was very attentive to our needs. Thank you again Emily...you represent Holiday Inn very well!
Frank Sodonis — Google review
Although we weren’t here for the Kingston attractions or views, I do feel certain hotel rooms should be discounted since they advertise great views. My view was an industrial size air conditioner which pretty much took up our whole view and we were right off the elevator so the constant “ding” of the elevator when in use can be heard.
There was a funky smell throughout the hotel, specifically in the hallways and it wasn’t the cleanest. I’m fine that there is no housekeeping as we generally skip it when staying for a night or two, but there was no housekeeping to be seen for the common areas.
It was a busy weekend with tournaments so you think they would hire more staff to keep up with the hallways and especially the main entrance. It snowed and the carpet was soaking wet and the floor was slippery. It didn’t even appear an attempt was made to keep up with this.
There is no continental breakfast included and parking was an additional fee. These additional fees alone I would not have generally booked here but we were part of a group booking.
If you don’t care about views and just looking for a place to rest your head while here for the downtown attractions, this this hotel will do. It is within walking distance of various shops and restaurants.
The room itself was clean with all the necessary amenities within.
The hotel was ok but I doubt I’d return to this one. Perhaps my experience would be different if the weather was nicer and I wasn’t so close to the elevator with a view of an air conditioner.

Have a soft spot for Holiday Inn. Hotels are generally clean, relatively inexpensive, and have all the amenities you need.
This hotel is right on the waterfront, and close to the main downtown area. We were catching a cruise in the dock next door, so it was very convenient. The hotel watched our luggage while we waited to board.

I stayed at this hotel for a few nights while visiting Kingston. The hotel was pretty clean. It also has a restaurant near the front lobby that has an outdoor patio that has a great view of the lake. This hotel also is in a great location being just steps away from the lake and waterfront as well as a park, restaurants and many other attractions. We walked everywhere we went from here.

We had to pay $600 for one night. The staff was so unfriendly. Their communication was horrible, and without empathy. There was no 4-star service. The rooms were okay but had mold in the shower and old dirty plastic chairs on the balcony. Parking is not included, and you have to pay at least $24 dollars for 24 hours. I can't recommend staying there. There are way better hotels in Kingston.

Meet with business colleagues for meeting / social get-together. The bar area was clean and nicely furnished. The staff set us up in an area that comfortably helding 12 people and allowed us close off the room during the business conversation.
Service was friendly, prompt and professional. We ordered several appetizers (flats bread, pizza, wings, veggies & dip. Everything was well prepared and nicely layout for us.
Excellent experience ~ we will be back.

Loved my experience at this hotel. Years ago now. I hope it hasn't changed. Going back in March for a hockey tournament. Hope we get a room with a view again and to walk around that beautiful city. So many older buildings and pubs/restaurants. Just a wonderful city all around.

The level of customer service we received was outstanding! Our original dinner reservation for a dome was canceled due to the overwhelming response of people flocking to the hotel for the eclipse. Needless to say, I wasn't happy, as this was for my hubby's birthday. Kamal, the F&B supervisor was more than accommodating. Even after I sent some not very nice emails, expressing my displeasure. Once I actual read his email and his offer to make things right, I was quick to apologize. I don't want to be a "Karen". I work retail, so know how customers can be. 😉 When we arrived at the restaurant, he came right over, wished my hubby a happy birthday. I was glad to have the opportunity to apologize in person for my behavior in the emails. He was so understanding. Great personality for the position he holds. Our server, Jasmine was great! Prompt, friendly and apologized for what had happened. Which, she has no control of, I'm sure. Food was outstanding! Burger was one of the best I've had in awhile. The tomato Marmalade made it that much tastier!😋 Hubby said his fish & chips were delicious! Would definitely go there again.

All in all a great hotel location is perfect park the car and you can walk everywhere which is nice.
The room very nice and spacious we did have a corner room with harbour view it’s extra but it’s extra room and comfortable.
The staff polite and friendly only downside had problems with room key every day.
They do have a restaurant and swimming pool and fitness area but that was all closed.

3-stars just because there was no housekeeping. You have to request housekeeping, which I did, and they still didn't come. The Delta Waterfront down the road has housekeeping included, no matter what. I get a good rate at this hotel through my company, that's why I stayed here.
Also: no slippers & no laundry bag.
Pros: Dove shampoo/conditioner, clean room, in-house k-cup coffee, bottled water, ondemand movies, ample towels, and beautiful view of the harbour, if you opt for that room.
Notes to management:
1. Carpets need to be upgraded. Makes your rooms look dingy and old, when in fact the furniture in there is just fine.
2. Maybe replace the shower heads in the bathrooms. My water was kind of spurting out in all different directions.
Great sleep. No issues on the mattress/comforters/and pillows.

My wife and I stayed here overnight in April. Check-in was fast and the staff were super-friendly. We had a room overlooking the harbour. The sunrise the next morning was spectacular. The location is the best for downtown - within walking distance of shopping and restaurants. We opted for the inclusive breakfast - it was perfect. I would enjoy a stay here again!

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Waterfront in Kingston on a summer evening during Queen's convocation. The hotel was bustling with activity and seemed to be fully booked. The staff at the front counter were exceptionally friendly and hospitable, which was a great first impression.
The location of the hotel is incredibly convenient, especially for those attending events at the Leon Centre, where Queen's convocation took place. Additionally, it's conveniently situated near downtown sites, making it an ideal choice for tourists.
We opted for a Harborview room and were treated to an amazing view of the main harbour area. The rooms themselves were clean, but there were a couple of drawbacks that affected our overall experience. Firstly, there were no toiletries provided in the room, including basic items like soap, shampoo, conditioner, or moisturizer. We had to call the concierge to have them brought up, which was a slight inconvenience.
The biggest issue we encountered was with the air-conditioning. It was extremely loud, resembling the sound of a jet engine. We found ourselves torn between having a cold room with the noise of a wind tunnel or a quiet room that quickly became uncomfortably warm. Unfortunately, this made it nearly impossible to get a restful night's sleep, and I wouldn't recommend staying here during the summer if this issue persists.
Another aspect that caught my attention was the parking situation. The hotel charges $28 per night for parking, which I believe is quite expensive, especially considering that the Marriott down the street offers free parking for their guests.
In conclusion, the Holiday Inn Waterfront in Kingston is a nice hotel with friendly staff and a fantastic location. However, there are a couple of areas that need improvement. If they can address the noisy air-conditioning and reconsider their parking fees, it would greatly enhance the overall experience for guests.

This is our 3rd time staying at this hotel and we have never been disappointed.
-Rooms are always clean.
-Service is always good, both in person and over the phone.
-The location is great if you plan on walking the downtown core, and offers a beautiful view of the water.

800$ for two nights… way too overpriced for what you get. Breakfast not included- so go somewhere else if you don’t want to pay for cold eggs and bacon. The staff working at the restaurant looked completely disorganized and overwhelmed. Parking is 30$ a night, which should included if youre paying insane prices to stay at their hotel. Hallways are dark and not clean (stains on carpet and chairs). Rooms were fine but still not worth the price we paid. The shower had what appeared to be mold on the seals. The balcony was covered in spider webs, spider eggs and poop. We paid extra for a « water view »- which was a nice lookout to a construction site. I do not recommend and will not be staying at a holiday inn again.

Great hotel and great location. Very clean and quiet as advertised. I have stayed at this hotel several times but mainly alone. This past stay I was with my family of 3 and as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces and a Silver member, I received 1 complimentary breakfast ticket. I was very disappointed that this Holiday Inn would be that cheap and when I brought this to their attention...I was told that is their policy. I recommend that all members of the CAF travelling with family in the Kingston area...please stay at Holiday Inn Express Kingston West! It has all the same amenities but only difference is that during my posting we received a complimentary breakfast for ALL family members...not just 1 for everyday we stayed. Thank you again Kingston West for recognizing my whole family.

I came to Kingston for a special occasion to visit my daughter at Queens and was so surprised to find my room decorated, and a complimentary charcuterie board! The staff was so sweet and I was truly touched by their thoughtfulness! Also bonus points for being pet friendly. ❤️ Thanks so much to all at the Holiday Inn Kingston who took the time to make me feel special. It was so appreciated! I will definitely be having a frank discussion with my sister in law about how great my stay was. Thank you!

Don't waste your time with this company.

I went to a school event for my daughter. We came in from out of town and stayed one night. The weather was terrible, but our stay made up for it. We really enjoyed our time. We decided to eat at the restaurant onsite and choose from a special sampler menu. Our meal was great. The atmosphere was great as well. Our server Sophia was fantastic. There were many hockey players there for a tournament so there was some noise, but things were quiet but around 11, it really was not an issue. We also had breakfast onsite and enjoyed the morning buffet. Note the elevators are small as the hotel is older but it certainly has charm. Our room was clean and everything worked fine.

Fort Henry National Historic Site is a living history military museum in Kingston, Ontario, with special events throughout the year. It depicts British and Canadian military life from the 18th century and is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site.
Great time! The staff are dressed up and teach you all about the place while keeping people entertained and happy. Live riffles and cannon demonstrated which was so cool! Good for any age! They have everything from artifacts to bread made right there in the fort! I got some pictures from on the roof and even though it was raining when I went it was still something I'll never forget! A great experience!

Nice historical fort, takes you back to 19th century culture. Lots of cannon of that time, the king’s cutlery, chairs etc are on display.
The place has a general admission fees of 15$, and offers free parking.
Outside view is great to enjoy Lake Ontario views, wolf island visible from here, decent place to enjoy your evening.
Best part of the fort is, in Kingston it is used for festivals and carnivals, like Pumpkin Inferno (pics at the end) and Light Borealis. That’s another reason to visit it in night.

Beautiful historic fort! The displays were well-done and plaques were very informative. I learned a lot during my visit. The view of Kingston and Lake Ontario from the top of the fort is incredible. There are people in era-appropriate costumes to answer any questions. General admission price is reasonable and there is lots of free parking available. Unfortunately, I came on a rainy day so there was no rifle demonstration. Dress appropriately as there are indoor and outdoor walking portions of the self-guided tour. Maps are provided when you check-in but you don't really need it because there are arrows to guide you through. Despite the ongoing pandemic situation, I felt safe visiting. There are hand sanitizers available and enough space to distance yourself from another group. Would recommend to my history-loving friends!

Nestled along the scenic shores of New York's historic landscape, Fort Sackets offers visitors a breathtaking backdrop for memorable experiences. During my recent visit, I was immediately enchanted by the captivating sunset that graced the horizon, casting hues of orange and pink across the sky. It truly stole the show and left a lasting impression.
While the sunset was undeniably the highlight of my visit, I couldn't help but wish for a more immersive experience within the fort itself. The walking path, adorned with informative signs indicating the location of various points of interest, provided some insight into the fort's history. However, I longed for more tangible remnants of the past to explore and engage with.
Nevertheless, despite the lack of extensive fort exploration, the panoramic views offered from Fort Sackets are unparalleled. The serene beauty of Lake Ontario stretching out before me, coupled with the warmth of the fading sun, created a truly magical ambiance. It's a place where time seems to stand still, inviting visitors to pause and appreciate the natural splendor that surrounds them.
While Fort Sackets may lack in-depth historical immersion, its enchanting sunset vistas make it a must-visit destination for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts alike. Whether you're seeking a tranquil spot to unwind or a picturesque setting to capture the beauty of nature, Fort Sackets delivers an unforgettable experience.

Not bad for our first time here.
The slot machines are a little confusing to understand, where you may just he pushing buttons and hoping to win something.
With few tables to play and few seats available, if you want in on blackjack , it was the busiest one, with no chance to get in, so you're stuck on the machines.
As with any Casino, make sure you bring a limit and have better luck than us!!!

The outside is vintage 1950s/Art Deco signage which is super lovely. Security and Id check was fine. Had an issue with trying to get a card as they needed extra verification from HQ security. Also be forewarned that you need to fill out a PAPER form! Like why? That should have been my first indication. The cashier was the most helpful. The high limit room was small. There are a lot of older machines and only 4 Dragon Link games (the one I finally was able to play had been not working for a while even with the service light on).
It was an okay experience but I won't be back. The machines didn't pay; the sounds weren't working (and some were working too well) and the RTP was dismal. I was there for 90 minutes and the most I saw anyone win was 90$.

My family and I came here for Easter weekend. I just went to the restauraunt since I dont gamble. I ordered the chicken caesar wrap which I thought was pretty good. It was around $15 which makes it reasonably priced. I like how you can get a discount of 10 percent on the food if you get a card at the front. Later I ordered a wine and it was decent and also reasonably priced at $7. Service wasnt bad and sufficient. All in all, not a bad experience.

I recall checking out this casino years ago when it had just opened. The place was busy, beautiful and full of spectacle; what you might expect from a casino.
Unfortunately, the shine seems to have dulled over the years as maintenance has obviously not been kept up with.
I visited recently during what I would have expected to be prime time on a Friday night. The place was almost empty.
Sad, really. This could be a destination and instead management seems to be content with complacency. Oh well, at least parking won't be an issue.

My friends and I were staying in a cottage in Lyndhurst and decided to check out this casino which was about 25 minutes away. We decided to apply for a player's card and were told that if we have a card from other casinos owned by Great Canadian Gaming Corporation the same card can be used in this casino. Since we did not bring our card with us the customer service representative checked the database and because we are already in the system, cards were issued to us. They really provided excellent customer service. They also have coffee machines and soft drinks machines inside the casino for players to help themselves. It is a nice little casino in Gananoque.

Casino is beautiful new great machines staff very helpful although they only allow you to have two drinks in an hour which seems kind of silly to me. They should be on an individual basis. Bathrooms were filthy, and there was lots of leftover empty drinks at the machines that stayed there over the few hours that we were there, overall, if they fix the issues mentioned above, I would give it five stars.

Been coming to this place since I was very young. It may be on the smaller side, but its a great little zoo. Full of things to see and do. Early is the best time to come; the animals are more active. My family went to Zoo New York for the Earth Day event yesterday have been a couple times. It's a nice little Zoo and has some fan favorites like bears (black bears), bald eagle & otters. They're big on conservation which is awesome. We've only been in the Winter and now early Spring, so the animals weren't particularly active which is understandable. We can tell there will be more once the weather warms up, like the butterfly house. The pricing is very reasonable and we'll be frequent visitors.

Overall experience was good! It's not very big and has a focus on North American local wildlife with a decent variety of animals. That being said the animals were so fun to watch and the staff is so passionate about their work. We spoke with Keeper Brenda for a long time after her wolf conservation presentation and she was so nice and obviously loves her job, the animals, and knowledge of conservation efforts. Talking to her was the highlight of our trip.

Alright so I love zoos but this one was really disappointing.
1) They don’t post the time for the elk feeding and then when I got there at 11:50 and asked to purchase 2 tickets to feed the elk and then I was informed that they stopped selling tickets for that for the day (their hours are 10-5, so I was surprised they stop so early in the day), they said they only sell tickets for it from 10:45 to 11:46 and then the feeding is at 12. Which whatever I missed it, but then at 12:20 the one zookeeper had at least 10 cups of carrots that he was just chucking over the side of the fence to the elk, that was already prepared for visitors.
2) Then we went into the reptile house and out of the 6 enclosures inside 2 of them were empty and closed for renovation.
3) We went to the butterfly house at like 12 when we first arrived and it was locked, and I was told the zookeeper was probably on lunch and then I tried again an hour and a half later after I was told they’d be back between 12:30 and 1 and it was still locked. So we ended up leaving without getting to see the butterflies.
4) The petting zoo/farm animal area was also locked and not open for visitors just like the butterfly house, so we left without seeing them too.
5) They also had the wolverine and owl, and otter inclosure empty
6)They also said there was a pressed penny machine online and there was none.
There was quite a bit of play ground area and stuff for small kids to play around. Not bad for little kids but overall not a good zoo. I honestly wouldn’t advertise it as a zoo it’s more of a public park with the animals kinda like a second thought. Definitely not worth the $12 a person. Considered asking for my money back because of how disappointing it was but I didn’t even bother.

I have gone to this zoo for 52 years. I have pictures of myself in this zoo since I was 3 years old. It has changed over the years. I will always remember the sound of the peacock's that they used to have. Now the zoo is NY animal habitat only. I dont live in NY anymore but I visit every time I am home. I enjoy seeing the animals and taking photos.

So awesome! The exhibits are great, lots of good info, and the habitats are incredible. The zoo does lots of activities, nice gift shop.
Their concessions are very limited, there’s hot dogs and nachos and that’s pretty much it for “real” food.
I wish there were some educational books or coloring books about the animals, but the stuffed animals are ADORABLE.

My husband and I love visiting zoos when we are on vacation, so we had to come to this one on our way home. There were some cool interactive things to help kids learn and some nice exhibits, but overall, the value for the price was disappointing. Many of the exhibits were closed or empty. The butterfly house was locked and inaccessible. A lot of the animals were not visible. We did get to see a bald eagle and porcupine pretty close up which was cool. The grounds were clean and well maintained and the animals seemed to be well cared for.

Albeit it was mothers day and my wife got in for free, which respectfully that was nice. It is such a small place and has maybe a handful of sad looking animals. I would hardly consider this a zoo. These animals need to be relocated and this land needs to be used differently. Will not return. However, the animals are still adorable. Maybe spend the 9 bucks to just jog there along the trails and have the animals near you? Takes about 30 mins to go around the entire zoo....walking extremely slow mind you.

Definitely a small zoo, but still an interesting place to see some native animals up close. I was glad to see that there wasn't anything too exotic, from an animal welfare standpoint, especially considering the harsh winters in this area. Nice place to walk around with my 6 yr old and fun to read about the animals, especially the stories of how they came to the zoo, like Pandora's comical story we laughed about! We also recently saw a wild barred owl and we love to go to Tug Hill in the evenings and call to them. We hear them so often that it was cool to see one much closer up, given all we have learned of them. Only thing I think definitely needs attention is the tanks inside! They were full of algae and a couple dead fish (pictured). The turtle was a kind I've never seen or heard of before, so it was cool to see that and learn how common they actually are. But someone really needs to be keeping up with tank maintenance!

There are only some animals. Though we did find the park to be a good workout. It was neat being able to check out the animals that they do have. There seems to be some construction happening in some areas. They didn't have the wolverines. The white snow owl seemed hungry? Upset? I'm not sure tho when we were there it sounded off to us even when I dbl backed after a little bit.
Saw what seems to be some improvements. I wish, though, that the zoo was more like it used to be a few years ago. I mentioned to my daughter how it feels more like a farm now.

Murphys Point Provincial Park is situated on Big Rideau Lake, which forms part of the Rideau Waterway. The park offers visitors a chance to explore several historically significant areas, including the Silver Queen Mine - a mica mine from the early 1900s that provides tours and interpretive programs throughout summer and fall weekends. Wildlife enthusiasts will appreciate the diverse habitat available in Murphys Point, with forests, wetlands and old fields providing ideal conditions for various species.
Visited this park for the first time in June. Nice private sites with lots to do within the park. Big Lake for fishing and saw a lot of people bring in some trout. We had some nice bass and pike during our 10 day stay.

Was a great part to spend a night camping! We unfortunately got rained out, and we’re unable to do the cave tour, and I recommend you take a look at if your site has good drainage, or if it is downhill! Luckily, we woke up just before the rain started to hit, And packed up before our site was a tad bit flooded. With that being said, we really loved doing the trail the day before! We can’t wait to come back and get a more dry experience!

Beautiful park. Well maintained. Was a little disappointed we couldn't go in the mines. Will definitely go back to hike more trails and maybe camping.

Nice beach, clear water, poor management
When we arrived there, the power was out because of the storm. I completely understand storm is not a common problem but each successful business should have backup plan for unexpected situations. We didn’t have bathroom there for 2 days. They can easily planned to have some electric engine to support power.

I love this campground, especially on weekdays in autumn. Barely anyone there. There were so many site options the morning I left Ottawa. The reservation was easy to make online for my trailer as there are good details for each site. There are vault toilets with sinks outside near my site #12. A ten minute walk and you can grab a shower and do laundry ($2 a load). It is dog-friendly so my little guy loves rustling in the colorful leaves. Swimming is pretty nice there at the beach - just don't bring your dog with you! Staff is super friendly! I will definitely go back!

Well managed park, clean and quiet. Beach was beautiful and the hikes were incredible. Due to Covid the mine tour is booked quickly with not enough spaces. Town of Perth was super quaint.

This is another beautiful Ontario Provincial Park, formed in 1967. Large, many varied sites, lots of trees, lots of shade, lots of good size lots, lots of access to waterways and hiking trails. The store is nicely stocked, lots of watercraft to rent and it has good facilities. Staff are friendly. Overall very peaceful, especially in September when their are no kids running around and only half the sites are in use.
Downsides include many of the sites are quite sloped. You need to be adept at levelling your RV. The sites tend to have a lot of exposed roots which are trip hazards. And bring 100 feet of extension cord as the electrical hookups are quite far away, shared between two lots.
But overall a “keeper” !

Great place to camp, nice beach for the kids. If you're into kayaking or SUP this is also a great place to go. The protected bay offers a nice place to explore. If hiking is your thing there are plenty of places to hike just be cautious of the tics in the area.

Great, quiet park worth the visit, we spent two days here. We wish we had spent longer as we really enjoyed the campgrounds, its well kept with multiple activities for families to do. The trail to the mine was a cool throw back in time. We also spotted deer multiple times threw out the trip with even the chance to get 10 to 20 feet from them and also had them walking next to our sites. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys camping

Great place for camping, hiking and kayaking/canoeing. Perfect for nature lovers. Mature trees and spacious park. Noise is not tolerated, which is fine for most campers. Lots of photography options, including birds.

Beautiful park that I’ve been visiting since I was a little kid! The sites are well immersed in nature and the Hogg Bay sites are a short walk from the beach. The bay is great for canoeing (which can be rented from the park store) and also leads to the Rideau River. There are lots of opportunities to see wildlife such as deer, turtles, raccoons, and more and you can also see fun educational presentations at the amphitheatre (the one we saw featured snakes)! Bonuses: I always see lots of shooting stars at night here and the camp store features great ice cream :)

I had a great experience here camping. Unlike other camping places this place had many spots unreserved through out the year excepts for a few months. This place is near Perth (20 mins).
The camping sites are really good . We booked the spot online and it was around 40 cad plus taxes. The first vehicle parking is included with this but if you have another vehicle you will have to pay another 11 bucks at the registration counter.
As this place has lot of rain, I would suggest you to check the weather and prepare accordingly (Setting up tents and dismantling it). Make sure not to leave any food leftovers outside before heading to sleep. If you don’t, probably the raccoons won’t allow you to sleep. 4-5 of raccoons come and fight just next to you and they aren’t even afraid of us.
The camp had pretty decent toilets for camping areas and also the garbage dump area was convenient. The swimming area of the camp was really nice with shallow and deep areas. No lifeguard so take care. Happy camping!

Booked site #25, it was large enough for our tent, dining tent, and privacy tent (plus the kids had a ton of room to play. The first night it rained (our tent wasn't up properly) and we got soaked. I was so thankful for the laundry facilities, so we could dry our blankets.
The showers had hot water, and decent pressure. There were plenty of well-kept washrooms, and the vault toilets were fairly clean.
Park staff were absolutely lovely, even when we got lost in our canoe and were slightly panicked.
The silver queen mine (free for registered campers) was so interesting. It was really cool to learn a bit of the history, and go into the miners bunkhouse.
I also loved the events and activities available to take part in around the park on various days.
We will definitely be returning to Murphys Point!

Boldt Castle is a grand castle situated on a 5-acre island in the St Lawrence River. It was constructed by George C Boldt, who owned Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. The castle offers tours of its interior, formal gardens, and grounds. Located about 25km from Gananoque and technically situated in the USA, visitors need to bring their passports to gain entry.
This was the first time to visit the area coming from the south US and going into Canada. Getting the tickets was quick but a bit complicated on which one to get. The girl at the window was good to help us out understand the differences. The boat ride was quick and smooth. The island itself was gorgeous. My family and I spent 1 hour there and it was too short. You can spend the entire day until 5 or so for the same price. The building are gorgeous and the history very interesting. I definitely recommend doing this and spend more than just one hour here.

We visited Boldt Castle as a part of the 5 hour cruise. The cruise stops over here for 2 hours to see the castle. It was a bit of a wait to clear US immigration. Once you are inside, it's quite spectacular to see all the views, architecture, and the way the castle is furnished. It's quite a sad history behind the castle, and some parts are left unfinished. 2 hours minus the time for immigration was not enough time to completely see everything but just right. Would have loved to spend more time. If you have a sweet tooth, don't miss the little ice cream store there. They serve amazing ice cream. The quality & quantity are out of this world.

Boldt Castle in the 1000 Islands is a five-star gem. The romantic views of the St. Lawrence River and its captivating islands make it a must-visit destination for couples and history enthusiasts alike. The castle's historical significance adds a layer of intrigue, showcasing the grandeur of an era gone by.
What's equally impressive is the ongoing restoration efforts that breathe new life into this architectural marvel. The commitment to preserving its heritage is evident in every detail. Boldt Castle offers a glimpse into the past while promising a future filled with enchanting experiences. Five stars for the perfect blend of romance, history, and preservation!

It was fun, but it was really crowded, and a bit chaotic. However, after touring the castle we found a quiet bench to sit on along the water's edge and watch the boats cruise by. The castle itself is fascinating, especially the higher up you climb into the unfinished areas. The yacht house was worth the extra ticket, the old boats, engines, and the building itself were amazing (if you like that sort of thing).

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Boldt Castle on Saturday. The Bridge Authority has done a wonderful job in restoring this great piece of history. The property inside and outside is so well taken care of by the staff. We were blessed by the experience to see not only what has been restored, but also to be able to see what is still in process. We have toured many places over the years and have never seen the behind the scene look at what goes on to restore a building of this magnitude. It was truly a gift to be included in the experience of the love George had for his wife in building this structure for her.

We opted for the castle and yacht house tour on a September weekday. These are self guided tours with the option to use a free tour app. For those who aren't tech savvy, there are plenty of placards describing items throughout the castle. There is also a short video about the family and history of the property. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, willing to answer questions.

We took Uncle Sam ferry to visit this magnificent castle. Uncle Sam ferry operations are quite efficient and reasonably priced.
There is so much to see on this small island, which is also called Heart Island. Plsn to spend at least a couple of hours to fully enjoy it and learn the history behind it. They show a 16-minute long documentry, which is quite informative.

The Boldt Castle & Boldt Yacht House are great historical sites to visit with family, friends, and whomever! It might not be a Disney Castle but this is a real castle and boat house that you can thoroughly explore. You'll find the multiple pleasure boats and racing crafts in the yacht house, the bowling alley and play stage in the kid's play house, the swimming pool, the multiple rooms, the power house, the servants' quarters, and so many more. Great place to explore when you get the chance!

The castle is beautiful. There are 4 floors totally redone and areas that weren't finished as a side by side comparison. The grounds are all nicely kept. There was a wedding even taking place. It's a very popular place! Spend an easy hour there which is perfect as the boldt yacht club runs a ferry every hour to and from. 30 for 2 people. Only runs to and from the castle.

In the 1970’s, my family visited Boldt Castle. I was so excited to return for the first time since then. We stayed in Watertown for the night, then drove to Alexandria Bay. It was all better than I expected! In the 70’s, the castle was in ruins. I honestly had no idea it was being renovated as this was a last minute addition to a trip in the Adirondack Mountains. It was worth taking a day to see the castle and yacht house and the area!
We took a boat over to Boldt Castle around 11:30 am on a Thursday. The boat ride was between five and ten minutes. We walked through the castle and around the grounds and spent 3 wonderful hours. We had a quick lunch at the cafe, then took a shuttle over to the Yacht House. That may have taken 15 minutes to tour (the boat ride was about 5 minutes). All so interesting! We walked through a few shops and were in our car and heading home by 4 pm.
I can’t wait to return to the area and spend more time here. Next time I would stay in Alexandria Bay for a few days!

Great place to visit and wander around. Lots of things to see all over the island for those who love peering back into history. Highly recommended. If your Canadian, it's easier crossing the border and taking the ferry from Alexandria Bay. This way you don't waste time going through customs when you get on the island.
Tons of fun for the whole family! Lots of interactive exhibits, a jungle gym, and fun educational areas where the kids can learn about water. The staff were also very friendly, and knowledgeable. We ran out of time before we ran out of things to do.

Geared for younger crowd. My kids are 8 and 11 and they were bored. Drove an hour to be there for the 1 o'clock entry. We left for 130.
We did not see any of the shows so not able to comment on those. However my daughter did get to see the mermaid. Who was fantastic with interacting with the crowd as well as individuals taking pictures with her.

We had a pretty amazing experience thanks to Corey Stitt. Note to self and to others. Buy tickets online ahead of time, and plan your trip. As well as be prepared to be separated from your kids for like two areas. I don't mean it in a bad way I just mean there is tunnels and stuff for them to see fish closer and to get onto the ship/slide, my son always has a great time here, but if you would like a less busy scene go after March break.

This was a pit stop on our road trip.
We weren't expecting something big, and yes, indeed, the Aquatarium is pretty small. However, it is so perfectly created, with enormous attention to details. It was a pleasure to spend here an hour or so.
There is a place for kids to play and give some energy away.
And you can also watch “shows” - feeding time for animals.
Super welcoming and friendly staff, they all acted as we were guests in their house.
Souvenir shop, the cafe at the corner and a restaurant on the second floor.

This is hands down one of the greatest family memories we have ever made. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to engage with our kids. I recommend this to anyone with children of all ages. Ignore the other reviews that tell you this place wasn’t stimulating for their children- we could have spent an entire day in the water table room alone. If your children (of any age) aren’t completely in love with this place, that’s likely a reflection of your parenting style, not here. We enjoyed this more than Ripley’s Aquarium (downtown Toronto) and the conservation aspect here is incredible (they rescue formerly mistreated beavers and otters). The otters will come right up to the tank and interact with you. Don’t even think about it, take your children here, it’s incredible.

Super fun museum for the whole family. We were a large group with 6 kids ranging in age from 2 to 18 and they all thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
I loved watching the beaver eat the bark off a stick, feeding time for the otters, and feeding time for the longnose gar.
I highly suggest a trip to this museum.

My family and I enjoyed our day at the Aquatarium. We were able to see the otters having their snack time, and the boys learned a lot of new things about sea stars and other creatures. We visited the Traveling Bricks exhibit, and ended our day with the escape room experience.

Aquatarium was a hit. It was our 2nd time there (ever), and we attended on the August long weekend. We spent about 2.5 hours there and could have stayed longer if energy levels allowed. Our group was two adults, a 5 year old and a 6 year old.
It is so well designed and interactive. We tried almost every exhibit and spent probably 45 minutes at the amazing ball station in the gift shop.
The only flaw from my perspective is that feeding times are packed so it's not likely that you'll see much from the animals unless you're early to stake out a spot before it starts and comfortable in a crowd.
It's walking distance to the south end of the railway tunnel, nice waterfront space, and several options for food.
Parking was a challenge. We were told it was much worse than usual as there was a boat poker run happening.
Of note, we also attended the travelling bricks exhibit. It was ok, but underwhelming for me. Parking was plentiful and free. We spent about 1h20min there. It was a few nice LEGO builds on display grouped by theme, then at the end there was a LEGO pit where the kids could build. If the Aquarium didn't throw in a bonus activity, I would have been disappointed at the value for cost. There is a little gift shop at the end. Table in the center had little Lego knock off sinks or sea creatures or a light up extension tube fidget thing for $3 each. Prices of other items around the sides were higher and varied. Bonus activity had to be chosen and time booked on arrival. Options were the train, obstacle course, or escape room.
The escape room was a fun, cowboy themed experience. It's got a time limit of 45 minutes.

This place is PERFECT for kids! My 4 year old has never been very interested in museums until this place- he had a blast in the water play table and the ball vacuum trucks in the gift shop. The place is clean and gorgeous inside and the animals are very well loved and cared for. And the employees are incredibly kind and helpful! We burned 5 hours here easily. 10/10! We came on Monday and we had the place to ourselves.

Brockville is a small community and despite that they are fortunate to have a clean and family friendly aquariums. Don't set your expectations too high as if it were a world renowned aquarium, because it is not. However, there are lots of interactive live displays, educational tours and it is a nice place to spend a few hours. I liked going to the aquarium and recommend others to go there as well especially if you are visiting the area.

Stopped in at the Aquatarium on a family road trip and it did not disappoint. My children are 3 and 6 and they absolutely loved it. We are greatful to the staff for accommodating the error we made in purchasing our tickets. I was blown away by the attention to detail throughout the building - from the elevator ride (which seems like you are in a submarine), to the details even in the signage for the washrooms, it was all spot on. The Centre is very interactive which is great with busy boys. I am also greatful to another family who was signing up for the ropes course - as it is a flat rate for upto five people they welcomed my son into their group. The staff were amazing and encouraging - He had an absolute blast. My three year old was fascinated with the sea creatures you can touch - the staff were incredibly patient and very knowledgeable. We also loved the 'secret passageways'. I personally loved that I could be a kid with my kids. We enjoyed otter feeding show. The building is fully wheelchair accessible and I had no problem manoeuvring a large stroller. We will definitely return!

The Canadian Tire Centre is a famous hockey arena that is home to the Ottawa Senators. In the winter, the CTC is used to host the Ottawa Senators NHL team. However, in summer, the CTC holds concerts and events that are enjoyed by all ages. This venue is great for watching a game! Although there can be some congestion in corridors, this is to be expected with so many people in attendance.
The home of the National Capital Region's largest capacity Arena/ Stadium is located in Kanata. The stadium opened in 1996 and was built to accomondate Ottawa's National Hockey Leagues (NHL) franchise team, the Ottawa Senators. It also hosts indoor music concerts and special events.
There has been much controversy about why the region's most impressive stadium was constructed 27km from the city centre of Ottawa. There were questions relating to the lack of transit infrastructure and its location being so far from higher density populated areas (downtown Ottawa and Gatineau). This distance becomes more of an issue since hockey games are played during winter when the worst driving conditions occur.
The stadium has changed its name several times. Such as; The Palladium (1996), COREL Centre (1996 - 2006), Scotiabank Place (2006 - 2013) and now it is the Canadian Tire Centre (2013 - present).
There are 4 levels in the stadium with the lower three dedicated for Seating/ Suites and the 4th with standing suites. All offer different perspectives in viewing the games and enjoying a unique game experience.
The general flow getting into the stadium, passing through security and finding your way to your seat is reasonably quick. The concession stands provide their services at a reasonable rate, but prices are high.
The city of Ottawa is now looking into building a new arena to increase capacity and revenue from the NHL games. They are looking into building it in an open area in LeBreton Flats, which will be an easy walk to downtown Ottawa and Gatineau.
If you like my reviews, videos or photos why not get a photo with the Sens mascott, Sparacat and give a salut with your hockey stick. Go Sens Go!

The food is always good, but a little expensive. We waited in line to go to Bert’s (nobody ever got back to me about making reservations) and it was nice. They were incredibly quick and our server, Halee, was great!
Love coming here with family to see shows. Try getting there early for parking and making sure to jet to your car after any show, or you’ll be stuck in traffic for a while!

Far from the central part of Ottawa and always a traffic jam trying to get here. The arena itself is nice and the staff does its best to present a fan friendly environment. The restrooms were clean, ushers helpful, and concessions line moved even in between periods!

We were there for a Sens game and the venue is good. It can be crowded, particularly between periods and at the end when everyone is trying to leave. The paying for parking has changed, you need to download an app and register the car's license plate I'd recommend getting the app before going if you are planning on parking there. There is lots of parking and a lot of places run shuttle buses to events. It would be nice if the train ran right to the CTC, that would help with the traffic before and after. Maybe in the future.

Great venue to watch a game. Although corridors are busy this is to be expected with many people. Concession lines are slow at times which if frustrating as you do not want to miss the action.

My wife and I went to our first Sens game vs the Arizona Coyotes. It's actually nice to see a brand new team this year. So much potential now that they finally opened up the pocket book and signed these players long term. These kids will give us years of fun to go see more games. We sat in the nosebleed section and we were surprised at how well we could see the whole surface of the rink. So much fun we bought more tickets for future games. What a blow out for the sens 6-2 Go Sens Go.....great time, great atmosphere. TBH the traffic isn't that bad at all either 👍

We flew up from the states to watch the Lightning play a game and I have to say this was a pretty nice arena. I was a bit surprised how far out of town it was and there isn't any type of rail link. We sat on the glass, and the tickets were very reasonable I thought. While there are several sit-down restaurants, more variety at the concessions would have been nice.

I liked the environment, but we went for Cirque du Soleil, and the place we were sitting was just uncomfortable folded chairs just in front of the stage. I believe they wanted to take advantage of the space to make more money, which resulted in unsatisfied customers!

Went here to see Avenged Sevenfold, had a great time! The facility was clean, and well managed, and the sound was really good for a stadium. The security crew from Kamp Operations did a top notch job of catching crowd surfers, and generally making sure everyone was safe, definitely want to send a huge shout out to those guys! All in all, would definitely go here for a show again!

Still a great building years later. A great spot to see the games and concerts. Easy access and parking available. So many restaurants and shopping around the building. A lot of different spots to eat inside the building and some history to see around the building too.

Went to the arena just cause I was an hour out and seemed like a good place to see a hockey game. Was pretty neat. Cheap seats, pretty good food and their review music was the pause music from Goldeneye. Would recommend if you wanna see a Sens game.

As my wife and I were in Ottawa for the weekend, we decided to go to a Senators game. We had decent seats for about $50 each, so quite reasonable. Parking was straightforward, plenty of space and only $20. The atmosphere was fantastic and we really enjoyed the experience. Getting in and out of the venue was simple, and there were plenty of clean washrooms and food/drink vendors. As is always the case at these venues, drink prices are simply ridiculous, $16 (plus an expected tip) for a can of beer/twisted tea that costs $3.50 at the liquor store. Putting that aside, we had a lot of fun, even though the Sens lost :(

We always have a good time at the canadian tire centre. I have to admit it does suck to have to drive out of the city for sens games would be nice if it was more accessible but we make it work to support the ottawa senators. We always have a good time, especially when we play against the maple leafs. We brought the family there for a game and everyone had lots of fun, atmosphere was amazing, they have nice cold drinks. The food there isn’t the best, made quick so fries not very well cooked, and everything is super overpriced. 2 drinks costs about 35$, but hey it’s all about the experience and outing lol! Been here many times for hockey games and concerts, it’s big, lots of parking, good place for big events! service is always good, staff are amazing! Long bathroom lineups, even with lots of bathrooms available but i guess that’s to be expected. Few restaurants in there also, and lots of souvenirs and sens gear :)

*Cashless building & parking lots*,
Expensive for simple snacks, drinks or alcoholic beverages $23 for 9 oz glass of wine, $20 for a beer but lots of different options for food before or during the game...$20 for parking which is paid through an app.
The game was great & ended in a shot out.
*Elevator on site for getting to all levels.

As a longtime fan of hockey, revisiting the Canadian Tire Centre for a game was a nostalgic journey that reignited the passion and excitement I've always associated with the sport. Accompanied by my friend, we embarked on an evening filled with anticipation, camaraderie, and, of course, hockey.
From the moment we arrived, it was evident that some aspects of the Canadian Tire Centre experience had evolved for the better. Parking, once a source of frustration, had become noticeably easier to navigate, alleviating any pre-game stress. The streamlined process of entering the arena further enhanced the overall accessibility, allowing us to focus solely on the excitement that lay ahead.
Navigating our way to our seats was a breeze, thanks to the helpful and efficient ushers who guided us with ease. It's the little details like these that contribute to a seamless and enjoyable experience for fans, particularly those like myself who may not attend games regularly.
However, no review of a sports arena is complete without addressing the culinary offerings, and in this regard, the Canadian Tire Centre leaves something to be desired. While the convenience of in-venue dining is appreciated, the escalating prices and diminishing quality of the food are concerns that cannot be overlooked. It's an aspect that warrants attention and improvement to truly enhance the overall experience for patrons.
Despite this setback, the energy within the arena was palpable, reflecting the fervent support of fans who had gathered to cheer on our hockey team. There's something special about being surrounded by thousands of like-minded individuals, united in their passion for the sport and their unwavering support for their team. It's an atmosphere that never fails to evoke a sense of belonging and camaraderie.
As the game unfolded before us, every moment was a reminder of why hockey holds such a cherished place in our hearts. From the thunderous applause that greeted each goal to the nail-biting suspense of overtime, every second was infused with adrenaline and excitement. It was a testament to the enduring allure of the sport and its ability to captivate audiences time and time again.
In conclusion, my recent visit to the Canadian Tire Centre was a testament to the enduring magic of hockey and the bond it creates among fans. While there are areas for improvement, such as the culinary offerings, the overall experience was one of joy, camaraderie, and shared passion. It's a reminder of why hockey will always hold a special place in the hearts of Canadians, bringing people together in celebration of the sport we love.

Staff at this venue are top notch!! Engaging with the fans and helpful for any information you may require! Wide selection of food vendors. The venue itself was great! Parking was good but getting into parking and out after a hockey game means having plenty of patience. Allow me to introduce Mcrae Investigations agency for those looking to use the services of a professional and ethical P.I for all your investigative needs. They deal in child custody, acquiring information for divorce cases, employees, kids and furry companion tracking & monitoring apps, recover lost data and lots more. Great night at the Jonas Brothers concert with my daughter. I originally purchased in the section 326. Shortly after concert started we were approached by a very pleasant employee who moved us to section 119. What amazing people and this act made my daughter cry in joy. Thank you for making my daughter's night. Will be back to see other events. Amazing!!!
