Beautiful cathedral. There are masses regularly and also the church is open most of the time and welcomes visitors.
The architecture of this place is so spectacular and full of detail. There is a floor underneath with more things to see and check if you are interested.
My main purpose of this trip was to see this church, so I'm not sure about the priest or other information for people that want to see the masses etc.
Independent if you believe in religion or not you should check this beautiful place. The organ was so beautiful and echoed everywhere

Very nice place ☺️ built very nicely. Lot of attention to details has been gone in to make this. This is the most important landmark place of the 🏙️ city. Infact city is named St Paul after this cathedral. On the main gate very nice scriptures , statue 🗿 has been crafted which makes it timeless piece of work/history. This is a must visit place in MSP (this is also code of nearest airport). Some pics and videos are available for your understanding. Thanks 😊👍

Beautiful place , the architecture of the building is make me fascinated. You can walk in both inside and outside of the building. Explore the beauty of worship . It's a must visit place in MN.

It's amazing how large this cathedral is. Definitely worth a trip. They're very welcoming to visitors and even have daily tours led by a docent that are very informative. The stained glass in this place is unreal, it's hard to describe their vibrant colors. Street parking is easy and convenient.

10 out of five stars. We love this beautiful church. It’s impossible to explain with words. If you want to see beautiful art if you want to have a moment of peace if you want to pray…stop by here. You will be blessed

What an amazing church!
I really enjoyed the small details in the painting and status.
It is nice to have some quiet and relaxing time during the day.
Parking was available in the street next to the church.
The entrance is for free, and donation is optional.

I recently had the privilege of attending Sunday Mass at the Cathedral, and it was truly a soul-enriching experience.
The cathedral's awe-inspiring architecture immediately captured my attention. The intricate details and towering spires left me in awe, reminding me of the dedication and craftsmanship of those who built it. As I approached, the grand entrance welcomed me with a sense of reverence and anticipation.
Inside, the interior was equally breathtaking. The stained glass windows bathed the space in a kaleidoscope of colors, casting a serene atmosphere. The echoing acoustics amplified the choir's harmonious voices, filling the space with a sacred resonance.
The Sunday Mass itself was a moving experience. The clergy's heartfelt words resonated deeply, and the congregation's devotion was palpable. The sense of community and shared faith was a beautiful testament to the cathedral's significance in the lives of those who gather here.
I left with a renewed sense of spiritual connection and a profound appreciation for the dedication of all involved in maintaining this sacred space. I highly recommend a visit to anyone seeking solace, reflection, and a glimpse into the profound beauty of faith.
A truly transcendent experience.

Such a beautiful Cathedral. There was a tour being led, but we just walked through. Great place to light a candle and say a prayer too.
Jenna “Jenmarie” Davison — Google review
Very beautiful on the outside but the doors were all locked all the way around. I really wanted to see the inside. They should have a tour guide there. I drove 750 miles for a locked door on a Sunday the day after Christmas. Sad

Cathedral of Saint Paul is an amazing catholic church! You can go in anytime and pray and other catholic traditions. They have masses throughout the day that anyone can attend if they decide they want to. The place is massive and is so nice while having statues of a lot of the Saints. The place is amazing and church doesnt get any better then this!

Magnificent architecture. You are free to walk around if there us no mass - you might even bump into a priest. Make sure to get to the back where there are beautiful sculptures of different biblical figures.

Gorgeous place! Atmosphere of peace and greatness! Wonderful works of art!
True pearl of St Paul must be seen!

I don’t know if I’ve ever been in a more beautiful place. It took by breath away. If only I had been able to attend Mass. I did spend quite some time here, entranced by the beauty.

As someone who knows they original St. Pauls Cathedral in London, this was an interesting place to visit. It’s a really beautiful cathedral with ornate stained glass windows. Its not as good as the original of course, but it holds a prominent position on a hill over St. Pauls the city.
Its easy to get to, we actually walked up from the science museum, but there is ample parking around the cathedral. There is also a very good view of the capitol building and views over the city.
Worth a visit.

An architectural marvel, painting details, frescos, massive stone figure carvings, all amazing to look at.
A little hard to hear the lectures during mass but take a seat near one of the front speakers and it's easier to understand over the sounds reverberation.

I'm glad I didn't burst into flames walking in lol
Beautiful and super dooper quiet
Lots of visitors
Bad gift shop hours
It really is an architectural marvel♡

This is the first time I have experienced such a big celebration of Christmas Eve. The architecture of the cathedral is magnificent.
It’s my lifetime experience. ❤️

When you enter, it feels like all mundial problems are very small. This building was built in like 9 years, so it just screams at us to show us how much people used to love Jesus Christ. Apparently at one point, people used to pay $12 per year to rent pews and their name tags were mounted on the pews. Some tags are still there.

Words cannot explain the experience of being in such a remarkable cathedral. The history, sculptures, architecture and art are mesmerizing. A single afternoon won't allow you to see all it's grandeur, but take in as much as you can! It felt nice to see such a beautiful place was made to worship God.

This place is amazing!!! If you are a tourist, this Cathedral must be your first choice to visit.

Absolutely worth a Sunday pilgrimage to participate in mass and enjoy one of the most beautiful Catholic Churches in America. The congregation is involved, the music beautiful, and the holiday absolutely lovely. Do it if you can!
The James J. Hill House is a museum in St. Paul, Minnesota, which displays the collection of art and antiques belonging to the Hill family. The mansion was built in 1891 for railroad magnate James J. Hill and is one of the most recognisable structures in the city. It features beautiful woodwork, reception hall with a 100-foot ceiling, and 13 bathrooms.
I love it. Our tour guide was amazing. If you go ask for Hannah. She showed up things that weren't on the normal tour. She is very passionate about the history and was very informative. I can't give her enough praise. The house is very beautiful and has a rich history. It is handicap accessible so I recommend it for anyone who visits the St. Paul area.
Jere Williams — Google review
**NOTE: The building does not have air conditioning, so it can get rather warm inside. Something to consider depending on the weather and how easily you overheat**
We were here a few weeks ago and really enjoyed the hour-long tour! Our tour guide (she was slender, brown-haired, and her name may have been Elizabeth?) did an excellent job! It was fascinating to see how the family lived and how much detail was put into designing and building the house. I encourage you to look closely at the amazing wood carvings that appear in almost every room!
A reasonably-priced and informative thing to do in a nice area that I highly recommend!
Peter Mathys — Google review
I should have done this sooner in life. I lived in the area during my college years and should have visited the James J Hill tour sooner and it’s unfortunate. The mansion is absolutely amazing and the history of the family and the area is equally amazing.
Our tour guide was exceptionally helpful, intelligent, and full of knowledge. He wasn’t just knowledgeable about the home but also the family and what it was like to live in the days it was built.
My favorite part of the tour was going to the basement to see the boiler room. It was massive!!
I recommend the tour. A+
Chase Vineland — Google review
Good location, just across St. Paul Cathedral. The tour is very insightful and our guide, Dan, was very good and nice. Highly recommended to those who wanted to know the history of the house, including their owners, the Hills.
Kim Pauline Alvarez — Google review
Great little tour, very quick to get through some areas but you can explore the main floor additionally after. There are seasonal changing tours, though I have not yet done one myself. Absolutely gorgeous woodwork, craftsmanship, and design.
Jana Lein — Google review
Best money spent on a museum. The 1 hour tour was excellent. Our tour guide was enthusiastic, informative, and funny. We learned so much about the history of the Hills but also MN. Highly recommend!

Fabulous old mansion 2/3 the size of the White House. Great tour guide & history. A treasure of Minnesota.
Jolane Sundstrom — Google review
Terrific outing! A great thing to do on a cold winter day. We have toured historic homes in Newport, RI and other cities and this mansion tour was the best. The home is absolutely enormous and most everything we saw is in beautiful condition. There are many rooms accessible to the public which isn't always the case in old homes. Our tour guide Allison was the most enthusiastic we've had...a wealth of very detailed information and simply delightful. We will definitely bring guests from out of town here!
Lib Fisher — Google review
A huge mansion that is from the 1860s. And learning about the railroad mogul. Didn’t get anything from the gift shop. A very beautiful house with a lot of very intricate wood work. And has a ceiling made with 24 karat gold in the main dining room. 😮
Andrea Wykoff — Google review
Do not go in June! Probably July or August either. It's just too warm to enjoy. The house is so dark. I get that this was the style at the time but just not my taste. Historically it was of great interested. How did the novoriche of the time live. She must have been an amazing woman. Managed a big household, 10 kids and am absentee husband. Cause he was always away for business.
Graciela Pacheco — Google review
We attended a Saturday tour for an hour. Our guide, Joe, was a perfect blend of casual and informative, managing a large group comfortably and weaving narrative points into the tour while also taking impromptu questions with ease.
The details of this historic estate are incredible up close and the space is continually being restored as closely as possible to original.
I also appreciated the open approach and information both to the class differences evident in the family vs staff wings and the acknowledgement of Hill's significant displacement of native peoples along the Empire Builder route.
Nick Van Ee — Google review
A wonderful guided tour you need to book in advance and after which you can see the rest on your own.i enjoyed the stories not only ofthemain family but also various servants there.

We spontaneously stopped to tour the James J Hill house during a weekend trip to Minneapolis. Our tour guide was sweet and very informative. We are both happy we stopped to learn about this part of Minnesota history.
Deanna Wierima — Google review
Lots of great history in this place. I am a rail fan so I loved it, but there is plenty to see for everyone.
Darin Johnson — Google review
James J. Hill House is exactly what one would expect of a robber baron's mansion. The woodwork is magnificent and the flaming dragon sconces are cool. There are a lot of stairs on the tour. The tour guides are quite knowledgeable and the house is well cared for.
Adrienne Cairn — Google review
It's always a little different with the tours. You can ask any question to change it up a bit. The tour guide gives you different facts each time. Never gets old.
Shawn Johnson — Google review
A interesting piece of history. The only reason 4 and not 5 is the dust set the smoke detector off and we didn't get the chance to explore. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and did a good job connecting with us. I will definitely go back and probably change my review when I do.
Chris Love — Google review
We had advanced tickets for the guided tour. The guide was super friendly. And very knowledgeable. She even let us know that she was running long on the tour and asked if we were ok with that. This house is huge. Very misleading from the outside. We had free time to tour the house in allowed areas after the tour. I didn't know anything about this place or James Hill before going here. It is a very neat place to go and the staff was superb.
The Minnesota History Center is a popular attraction for history buffs and nature lovers alike with permanent and changing exhibits that cover topics like climate change and the Civil War. The center also organizes many events, including family-friendly activities, that you can participate in.
Learned a lot about the history of MN. Went on a school field trip with my son, chaperoning. There was an educational class, the students got learn about the fur trade and stocks. They have great modules, we got to experience a tornado while in a basement back in the 1960. And, experience a soldier perspective preparing for war on an aircraft. Kids loved the bison and it’s organs learning uses. And the mining shaft and explosion experience. Loved how the kids worked together arranging the sitting cubes to match the diagrams on the wall. The crew members were extra patient and educational. Each exhibits we had visited, they always had a knowledgeable crew member explaining or demonstrating the history uses of the items. Please bring your kids and educate them on the history of MN. Would recommend and love to return back again!! Please note there are no public parking available on their premises, only drop off or must park in ramp and pay.

Spent most of a Sunday at the history center. I don't like large crowds and I'm sensitive to loud environments /sounds. I got there right when they opened at 10am and it was perfect ! I also absolutely loved the Charles Schultz exhibit! It's a must see! Overall I had one of the best solo trips. People mostly walked through the exhibits quietly. Enjoyed a very nice lunch in the cafe. I perused the gift shop at the end of my visit. So many cute things. I would have loved to be able to get so many of the cool books.
Sara Hillstrom — Google review
So much work has been put into these exhibits and it shows. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Always ready and willing to educate us on the rich history of our state and nation. Very passionate. We had a wonderful time here and highly recommend a visit!

A great place to bring kids or to do family history research. The exhibits are fun and interactive for all ages and the museum is a beautiful, huge building - wear your good walking shoes. The Gale Family Library is full of friendly, helpful staff that will guide you to find out more about your family. They have amazing resources that you can't access online, especially the people there, so I recommend a visit. The cafeteria is sunny, clean and full of healthy options to eat and drink too. Visit soon!

I thought my visit to the Minnesota History Center was pretty entertaining and educational. They have many great exhibits on the third floor of the History Center. The second floor has a great and vast library. The "Weather Permitting" exhibit was probably my favorite. They have an old house that you sit in and it simulates being in a tornado. The exhibit about life in the old prarie times was also very cool. They have a special exhibit area that changes to different things Minnesota related. There's also many Native American artifacts as well. I would suggest visiting during the weekend because weekdays have school tours where kids are running around like madness with apparently no supervision.

We recently visited on a Sunday morning...and...it was not busy at all. We have been here before but...it had been several years. They have many permanent exhibits...along with other temporary ones. Some of our favorites are: 'Then...Now...Wow!'...and...the tornado simulator in the 'Weather Permitting' gallery. The two-story wooden play structure replica of a grain mill [Grainland] is a huge hit with little ones. You can go inside an actual-sized tipi...mud house...or...even an old Saint Paul streetcar. Minnesota has deep roots in Native American culture...history...and...heritage...and...you will find quite a few references to that impact at the History Center. It is an entertaining option for most age groups...from younger to older...as there are many hands-on pieces to learn from. I would say you could spend around two hours here to get the full experience. They do have a research library onsite...hours are by appointment only. There is also a gift shop...auditorium...and...a small cafe with light dining options. It is conveniently located right in downtown Saint Paul with both the state Capitol...and...Cathedral of Saint Paul just a few short blocks away. You get nice views of each from different places inside/outside the History Center. There is a paid onsite surface parking lot...pay as you enter...with plenty of spots. We really dig this place...it's always fun to return to see favorites...and...appreciate the visiting exhibits. If you get the chance...definitely check this place out...you won't be disappointed.

Attended a private event here after hours. This place is beautiful and the exhibits were open for viewing. We loved everything and want to come back to spend more time in the museum. At night they have a beautiful, unobstructed view of the capitol building. Highly recommend for special events or just casual visits.

A fun museum for adults and children. They have some hands-on exhibits that allow lots of interaction and an agricultural area that functions as a place for kids to climb and play.
Social exhibits roll through the museum making sure they always have something new.

As a history nerd this is one of my favorite places to go when I'm in the cities. Great gift shop with excellent book collection for sale, amazing archives library, wonderful exhibits and the staff are so welcoming 😍😍 So thankful we have a society preserving Minnesota history. I highly recommend a membership as it is for many sites around our state.

We could have spent the whole day here! Some of our favorites are: the Peanuts exhibits, Native History & the Greatest Generation exhibits. The place is easy to navigate and get around and well organized. I recommend taking your older elementary kids here for some really great MN History. As a transplant from out of state, this is a place I'll defiantly visit again!
Tammy Work — Google review
The Charles Schultz exhibit was a lot of fun! Interesting facts like what year each character was introduced, fun photo ops, drawing tables to make it trace your own cartoon. Great for all ages! It was our first visit there so we got to see the tornado drill, the old military plane which felt so real I can't even imagine how they felt actually being shot at! So many things to see and do, mining, making shells for shooting, Native American people's exhibit and art... It's all a must see!
Nikki Sichler — Google review
Loved the Peanuts exhibit. There was a great exhibit for Black History Month. Both were very informative.
Jenna “Jenmarie” Davison — Google review
Absolutely amazing center! Very hands on and interactive. Perfect for families! We were three adults, a ten year old and a 12 year old and everyone loved it! Plan for a minimum of four hours!
There are live performances, so look at the daily schedule because the performances are great!
Jannean Dixon, M.Ed. — Google review
I really enjoyed the MN History Center. The interior architecture of the exhibit hall wings is stunning. I thought there would be more to see and do, but of what was there I especially loved the powerful WWII "Minnesota's Greatest Generation " exhibit. The movie in the fuselage of the plane (in the back) is an absolute must! The exhibit, "Our Home: Native Minnesota" is detailed, powerful as well and artistically beautiful. And the gift shop was full of great finds. The deli Cafe served a large variety of pre made sandwiches, coffee, etc.
Deborah Tafil — Google review
This is such a fun place to visit. Very informative, the displays are interactive so it keeps kids entertained, and they offer a History Connects Program. This program offers reduced cost to those in certain programs that they specify on the website and includes those who receive EBT and medical assistance.
The kids favorite exhibits were the ice cream store in Minnesota's Greatest Generation and the Charles Schulz exhibit. That was a fun one!
The arena Xcel Energy Center is the home of the Minnesota Wild hockey team and also hosts concerts and events. It has a capacity to hold over 15,000 people and has free Wi-Fi for all visitors. The place is also well known for its LED Matrix displays surrounding the arena. There is fine dining available inside the venue.
It's such an amazing place for all levels of hockey. Concerts are amazing here. The hockey rink allows for extremely close views of the sport or concert your watching. One of the best rinks in the NHL and home of the Minnesota Wild. When the Wild play, the stands are always full and nearly every game is sold out. 5 star rink 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Scotty Buchholz — Google review
Came here for my first Wild game as they played against the Golden Knights. It went all the way to a shootout and free hockey is always welcomed. Unfortunately, the Wild lost but the arena is fantastic. Plenty of food options, concourses were sizable, and the atmosphere was electric. Getting to and from the stadium was straightforward and it was an overall seamless experience. 5 stars!
Adam Morgan — Google review
I have been to the Xcel Center many times over the years for games/concerts/events/conventions. We visited a few weeks back to take in a Wild game. It was my child's first Wild game and they have a cool booth where you can get a 'first game' certificate, get your photo taken and also get a souvenir [made of wood] mini hockey stick...all for free. It was a hit, for sure. The screening process to enter the venue is SO smooth and fast. We literally just walked through the scanners, no bag/body checks. This kept the many folks making their way inside at the same time moving quickly. While the Wild lost the game, we still had so much fun. We strolled around the outer areas of the arena and enjoyed seeing all the hockey/Minnesota memorabilia. I also loved all the Peanuts character statues throughout. [Charles Schulz = Saint Paul's golden son!] The Xcel is a very nice complex with plenty of food and beverage options, from sit-down restaurants to counter service to mini donut carts. Of course, the food prices are silly but, you already knew that. We did counter service and the lines were longish but, moved very quickly. Service was friendly. If you're feelin' fancy, you can attempt to rent a private suite to host your friends/colleagues during an event. We just had regular seats, right next to the organ player's skydeck though so, that was neat to watch him perform. Parking is fairly abundant between the large lot adjacent to Xcel along with all the smaller surface lots scattered around the area. Event parking is typically twenty dollars per vehicle. A nice thing about Xcel is even if you have 'nosebleed' seats, there isn't ever a bad seat in the house. It is easy to see the ice/stage/whatever from all around inside. Plus...they have plenty of jumbotrons to ensure quality viewing. The complex always appears clean with plenty of staff nearby should you need assistance. If you are planning a longer visit, the location can't be beat! There are plenty of restaurants/shops/hotels within walking distance of the Xcel Center. Lovely Rice Park is just behind the venue and always worth a stroll if you have some extra time.

First hockey game. It was amazing to see it live. Parking was as expected with events of this nature but entry was a breeze. The atmosphere was fun and inviting. Good selection of food and drinks. However paying $100+ for 4 drinks in a plain plastic was a bit much even if the drink was nice. However it didn’t take away from an awesome experience. Will surely go again and but be mindful of food prices.

Loved this place. Very clean and all around nice staff. We went and saw Elton John live in concert and the venue couldn't have been better. I've been to a lot of venues but this one has been the best, from how clean everything is to how easy finding seats are you can't go wrong with a concert here. 10/10
Joe Lara — Google review
There really isn't a bad seat in the house. we came here tonight to watch Tran Siberian Orchestra and everything went really well. it was really quick in and out of security, we were easily able to get to our seats and we could see everything very well. I was surprised that there were so few food vendors since the concert went on for about 3 hours. the employees directing people were very friendly and helpful. getting out of the venue was also very easy. the bathrooms were clean too. it certainly feels like the entity in charge of keeping the facility clean does a pretty good job. we also really like seeing all the historical pieces, jerseys, and décor is also very fitting for the venue. we will come back for sure.

Went here for the 93X Twin Cities takeover. I was impressed by all the Hockey jerseys on display. The clock tower was very cool to look at. One of the better concert venues I've been to, looking forward to seeing more here.

“Let’s go Wild!” One of the best experiences of my life, The Minnesota Wild sucked as usual but at least I got to see the new Stanley cup winners (Vegas Golden Knights) play and win there so I’m not complaining, the whole place was so awesome, the place was packed & the energy was like no other, got to go walk on the ice, got a signed hockey puck, & Wild home jersey as well! This place was a blast and I 100% recommend going here if you have the time, money, & you’re a big hockey fan! Amazing, I hope to visit for another game soon and see the Wild win a game!

I have been here multiple times for both sporting events as well as concerts.
It’s a beautiful, quaint venue. The club level is super fun and the suites are nice. Food is hit or miss. Drinks are very expensive as you would expect.

Finally got to see my favorite band, Pearl Jam, at the Xcel Energy Center!
The sound was incredible even with how far away our seats were. The show/the band was absolutely perfect.
However, the venue itself needs some work. The seats are so small and close together. It was very uncomfortable. It seems like they're probably more worried about getting as many people in there as possible, rather than the comfort of those who paid to be there.
The prices of drinks are outrageous, so we didn't even consider buying anything.
The ushers and employees were actually really great. We had to ask at least one employee about where our seats were, and they were very quick to help us and very friendly.
Overall, I think it would take another Pearl Jam show to get me to come back to this venue. There are plenty of other venues, and I don't think I would ever go out of my way to attend another show here.

We came for the Madonna concert. The parking across the way is nice. The entry into the venue was quick. Don't bring a purse they are not allowed. Thankfully, we checked before. Food and drink were average stadium prices. Not a bad seat in the house, in our opinion.

Went to this arena in Saint Paul to watch the Avalanche play the Wild on Thursday evening. We stayed in a hotel across the street from the place and it was a breeze to get into, and out of, the venue. It's a relatively newer arena compared to other NHL team arenas, and the place has an almost airy, open feel, despite it being an enclosed space, if that makes sense. We sat in Section 101, Row 10, and our view of the ice was great. Might return on another day when the Avs return!

Saw Elton on his farewell Yellow Brick tour. It was an awesome night. Staff were efficient in getting the huge crowd checked and in on time. We felt safe with the security measures taken and we were able to enjoy a magical night. No bad seats, everyone had a good view of the stage and the sound was pretty good. Memories we'll carry with us forever.

Incredibly nice arena in St. Paul. One of the best experiences I’ve had at a hockey game. The only flaw is that there are a limited number of restrooms, so you have to wait in line close to thirty minutes between periods.

Come on Xcel - Get it together! I went here in Mid July to see Cirque du Soleil. The show was great! No hate on the show - I enjoyed it and recommend it. The views were good and the sound was good. The temp was good, and my seat was comfy enough. All my frustration is at Xcel as a venue and how they handle policy, etc. They sent several emails to give us a heads up on their (insane) bag/purse policy. You can't have anything bigger than a 4x6 purse. My phone won't even fit in a 4x6 pouch! And of course, they don't apply that rule fairly across the board. I saw SEVERAL people walking around with a bigger purse. Also, they apparently offer the option to pay for a locker, but they don't make that apparent online or in the reminder emails. Plus, while I was there - several very upset women noted that security at the other entrance didn't tell them about the locker option. Also, the cobble stone style walking paths around the building are in bad shape and are not safe - I spent more time dodging holes than enjoying the environment around me. Come on Xcel - fix them! Last, for the love of Pete - don't let people into the venue 20, 30, even 40 minutes late!!! I wish they cared as much about people being on time and my viewing pleasure as they did about their impractical purse policy. 40 minutes in, and my view was still being regularly obstructed by people arriving late and walking down the aisles. Other venues STRESS that you need to arrive early - maybe Xcel could work on that too!

Was at the game for Military appreciation night. When trying to purchase tickets the section were shown for Military but when you were asked to pick your seats they automatically assigned you seats and I tried a number of times and I would pick seats and they would bring up the same seats and there were seats available where I picked. On the bright side the Wild played well and brought home the win.

Great venue for a concert! My wife and I visited Saint Paul specifically to see a Pearl Jam concert at this venue. It was generally clean and organized. The various staff members serving drinks or helping find your seats were courteous and knowledgeable.
I believe the capacity of the place is about 20,000 and that’s actually a really good size for a concert like this.

We attended the MN Wild VS San Jose Sharks hockey game for the Star Wars night. We sat in section 219. Good views, no obstructions. Overall, we always love attending hockey games here! We parked in the RiverCentre Parking ramp, and it cost $25. We didn't have far to walk to the game, so it was worth it. Good food and drink selections, but yikes, it can get expensive quickly! I appreciate that the bathrooms have so many stalls, so the lines move quickly.

Great venue - been here for Wild games and concerts. It's a fun arena, and there are no bad seats. They put a lot of effort into creating a safe environment for all their visitors.

Smoke your cigarettes before you go inside because they will not let you out to smoke and then let you back in FYI.
I've been here many times before, last night me and my sister went to see Madonna. We were in the 33rd row which was actually a front row on the floor because her stage was so large. The show was incredible. The sound was awesome. Well the sound was loud and it penetrated the body and rocked your bones but could have had better clarity and better acoustics. That said, a venue is a venue is a venue... Pretty on the different concourses and inside you've got no idea what things look like when it's dark, but when the lights go up it's kind of... gross? It's also possible that I just don't like public venues. They never really meet my standards. I have very high standards. My viewing room is beautiful, it is filled with art, it is comfortable and lush. My folding chair was not. I actually don't recommend the floor if you go to see a concert here. I recommend sitting in the first section off the floor in about the third row because then you're going to be eye-to-eye with the entertainer you're going to see.
And for God's sake don't reserve parking, the prices are outrageous, like $57 to $65. Just drive around for a bit... we did and we found a parking spot right in front of landmark center paid $3.50 at the parking meter to cover us till 10:00 p.m. and we were good in a nice spot which was frequently patrolled by police.
If you need to vape, for God's sake don't do it in the auditorium, go to the bathroom in the stall.
Eat beforehand, food is outrageously priced.
And finally, stop drinking liquids 2 hours before your event so you don't have to leave to go to the bathroom and you'll have a much better time.

I have been to Xcel Energy Center a number of times for concerts. This time it was for Madonna! 🎶😃 We had an amazing time! But I wanted to do a review to recognize how nice the security staff were the night of the concert. They were fast, respectful, and even handing out compliments. It was very pleasant and they kept things moving at the same time. Also want to leave a little hint that you can reserve parking in advance to your event at Xcel. It made things even easier. Remember things are pricey for food and drink. I wore 6 inch heels of course but it is a lot of walking and the stairs are crazy even with the railings. Things were clean and a good time was had by all! Thank You Security at Xcel for keeping us safe and also happy! I do have on thing I want to mention. Exiting got a little stuck! Literally! The line of people getting out the building grinned to halt. People got a little pushy. Please be kind! 💛💖💛

Always fun going to Excel Energy Center. Have attended Wild Games, Disney on Ice and Pro Rodeo. There were no menus posted online, only the name of the vendors. Added pics of the menus.

Great facility for NHL games, except the seats are very small and uncomfortable. The people next to me were almost on my lap. Drinks and food are expensive as expected, but there are plenty of options. Ladies, if you don't already know, do not bring purses. Anything bigger than a wallet will make you walk a Ling way to get to the only entrance that can search the bags, if they even allow it in at all.

The Xcel Energy Center is an excellent venue for many types of different events. Seeing Minnesota Wild games here is absolutely fantastic. It is my favorite hockey venue I have been to. It is a great place to see concerts. This is the best large stadium type venue I have been to for concerts. The acoustics are actually really good. They also have tons of other great events throughout the year.
The Science Museum of Minnesota in St. Paul features permanent and temporary exhibits on different scientific topics, as well as an IMAX dome theater that allows visitors to explore science through hands-on exhibits and movies.
Had a wonderful Saturday taking the family here.
Lots and lots of different exhibits. In a covid world it is surprising that they have as much hands on exhibits but they do their best at keep wash stations available everywhere.
Most of the exhibits seem to do well to get the kids to want to interact and learn/see how things work which is wonderful!
Also had fun trying to find all the Lego people hiding in displays!!

As a member, I've visited many times and it's always a great outing for me and the kids (3-7).
I was inspired to write specifically today about the Christopher Marley exhibit... incredible. I was astonished at the painstaking arrangements, incredible colors, and detailed notes on taxonomy, morphology, etc that informs the pieces. Were I alone today, I could have spent hours (but not quite able with kiddo attention spans). Worth a visit in it's own right.

First time coming here and I was so impressed with the set up and the variety of things to see here. There are activities for kids to enjoy and very interactive. I loved the view from the outside. Ramp parking is $10. You can buy tickets online. There’s a small cafe and stirs inside also. 4 floors of things to see.

So much stuff to do and see at this place. Will keep you busy for a long time. Got to go here with my sons school and had a great time. They worked very hard to make it a great experience for the class to be at. Worth stopping here and learning so much things. Everyone had a great time and there is something for everyone.

My daughter, sister and I had a really great time here today. We learned so many new things. However due to covid there isn't a Cafe there anymore. You can leave and come back though.
I highly recommend going here for kids 6 and up.
The prices are a little high. However if you have EBT you can get in for $3.
Parking was only $5. Pretty good deal.
They do have a gift shop as well. Of course things are way over priced. But we still bought a few things.

Fantastic science museum. I went to see the Exquisite Creatures special exhibit by Christopher Marley and I was blown away! I easily spent over 2 hours in the gallery enjoying the beautiful plants and animals. None of the animals were killed for the exhibit. The animals died while in captivity and the bodies were preserved. The sea creatures were the bycatch from trawlers. And the insects are a sustainable catch from locals who are paid in the hopes to reduce the amount of rainforest burning for new farmland.
The rest of the museum was great with engaging exhibits on dinosaurs, the human body, bogus medical treatments, and race.

Ever since I was a kid, I have always loved the science museum! Over the course of time with the new additional attractions, that love has only grown more profound. Very kid friendly but also appropriate for adults!

Wonderful Experience! This place caters to inquisitive minds of all ages. So many exhibits to visit and so many hands-on experiences. Half the classroom science can be learned over here. Some of the exhibits (ex: Race/Raza) are necessary to re-learn and educate ourselves for the improvement of society overall. The museum itself deserves second or third or multiple revisits!!

Oh yes! A worthwhile visit! We plan to return. Most impressive was the unexpected FUN experience when a dinosaur trainer/manager showed up with his HUGE walking "baby dinosaur" greeting visitors. That was quite the memorable experience for the children! They talked about it all the way home 😃

Most of the exhibits are closed. However, my kid had fun overall. The sports exhibits were unique and very interactive! It kept my little occupied. He loved it.
We got to see the dinosaurs and it did frightened my little one, it was really fun to see one out and about.

I'll start by saying the Exquisite Creatures exhibit is well worth your time, so if you're considering a visit between Feb-Sept 2023, do it!!!
This museum is a fantastic blend of family friendly with interesting science for adults. Unlike many science museums, the interactive aspects here are always in good repair, and it's clean.
The museum leans too warm/hot, and it's a lot of movement so I'd recommend walking aides/wheelchairs for those who need them.
There is a lot going on, but it's not typically a sensory overload and I've seen many special needs families enjoying their time so I'd say it's an inclusive and welcoming environment for all. There was a walking dinosaur this afternoon that gave some littles a bit of nerves but it was announced well and forewarned.
Prices are average for a museum--high but worth the money and with many discounts for those who may otherwise be unable to participate.
All around an excellent space.

Second time at the delightful science museum geared for lifelong learners, kids and families. The interactive portions are fantastic.
Both times, there has been unruly school groups with teacher and parent chaperones who don’t seem to care about the behavior of their students and the schools they represent. Sadly, this did impact the overall enjoyment of our experience both times.

Fun and very educational for not only kids but adults too. Three levels to explore all filled with fun activities to do as you’re learning. Parking attached to building and you just take the elevator right up to the museum. Before entering, there’s a place for snacks and drinks.

Lots of exhibits, and a wide range. Lots of exhibits are interactive. It was really busy though and had to wait for exhibits to be avaliable. Parking was a bit difficult and had to pay for parking separately. I had wished there had been more interactive items with the dinosaur exhibits.

A membership is really worth it if you think you might go twice a year. There's always a lot to do for all ages, new Omni movies, and new exhibits. I brought my kids the other night just for two hours to get out of the house. They added to the Dino and sports exhibits!!! I hope they replace or pair down some of the second floor exhibits like the brain/electric stuff. Also, Bring back cardboard creations?! That was one of my favorite extra exhibits.

Always a fun place to visit. The dinosaur skeletons are impressive. The interactive exhibits are interesting. Always fun for kids to explore. In the winter, the $3 lockers for coats are totally worth it.
Theater chain for mainstream films; most offer enhanced picture & sound & expanded dining options.
We have always loved coming here for movies. Even when there weren't movies we took advantage of the opportunity to purchase Marcus theater popcorn and treats in order to recreate the experience at home as well as we could. Earlier this year our 8 year old son threw away our 2022 Popcorn Bucket (he thought he was helping clean up after the movie was done). The staff was so nice in trying to help us out after. We will certainly keep coming back to this awesome theater.
Ryan W — Google review
It seems like the staff is doing their very best in the middle of a global crisis. However the theater itself needs some deep cleaning and updating. Seats are still comfortable, and assigned which is great. It took a while to get a beer but was nice to be able enjoy an adult beverage with our movies. But to be fair we'd go to any theater that close to home with good seats.
Rebecca Erickson — Google review
First time at this theater. Was very hard to find, the little road you’re supposed to take isn’t marked and I drove past it. People who have gone here for years will probably say “well duh! Turn into unmarked roads, it’s near the sign on the corner of Carousel and Chippendale!” but I don’t think that way.
The theater has two staircases on either side of the middle, and the middle is only one of 2 spots where the curb is low enough for a wheelchair to access the sidewalk. The other is on the west end. The long and winding wheelchair access is on the right. At least for those that can walk up stairs; the stairs are a low rise/easy to go up and down. I was easily able to navigate them with my cane.
Inside there appears to be a kiosk for those who purchased tickets online to print them out, it’s near the ticket counter which is completely separate from the concessions. One side of the concession is labeled for those who ordered ahead to pick up their popcorn/candy/drinks. I didn’t do either as I wasn’t sure how they work (is there a way to ask for extra buttery topping, I also didn’t know they don’t have Real butter). I ordered a combo after buying my ticket and choosing my seat. The guy at the concession was pleasant enough, though he gave of an air of “I hate my job, but I’m going to do it well.”
I had read another review where this customer complained about a horror film advertisement near the theater her kids were going to. I had a kiddy advertisement outside my horror film. I tried looking away, I shouldn’t have to be subjected to such nonsense (LOL).
I really enjoyed the DreamLounger, and now understand just because the seats are “cuddle seats” it doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy one side. There are armrests in the middle if the cuddle chairs that can be lowered for non-cuddlers or singles, and pulled up for couples. These recliners are much different from the recliners I’m used to; leatherette as opposed to vinyl, and cup holders separated from people on either side. You’re not fighting with the person next to you for the cup holder or use of the armrest.
The ticketing lady was pleasant on my way out, thanking me for coming. This was pleasant, though you have to walk out the way you came in, other than emergency exits there aren’t any other egress points. Not a problem, but at the theater I usually go to (that was no longer showing the movie before 5pm) has several other doors to exit to the parking lot.
Overall a pleasant experience, except for the handicap acess.

We've been going here for so manh years, I appreciate being able to reserve seats and Tues is our day to go since we are a bigger family... But this last trip there was a wall size horror movie poster right outside the theater our pg movie was playing in... I thought it was creepy as an adult, I shielded some my children's eyes and told older ones to look away. But there it was every time someone went to the bathroom, etc...
If that has to be put up, please don't put it by where little kid shows are playing!!!

Great Venue to enjoy movies. Ordered a burger before the movie (wish I'd thought to take a picture). Best Burger I've had in a very long time; juicy, flavorful, fresh, and actually cooked on a grill... I'd go back just for the burger. They also sell beer and wine which you can enjoy in the movie. Seats were comfortable recliners. Projection and sound was heart pounding. Great experience!!!

Tim Lang — Google review
Been going to this theater for years ever since they were one of the first in the area with nice recliner seats. The $5.50 Tuesday tickets were such a good deal. Now the Tuesday deal is not far off a normal ticket. I was ok with that until tonight when i discovered the Tuesday popcorn went from $4.25 to $8.50. With inflation out of control everywhere going to "meh" movies because I could for a reasonable price is over now. I'll come for the couple big blockbusters but that's it. So management I just wanted you to know that raising prices isn't how you raise revenue especially in a discretionary spending sector. It's just not worth it for me to spend $15+ on mid range movies so instead of the $10 I spent a couple times each month it's now $0. Might want to reconsider the recent pricing changes. Higher prices = fewer tickets sold = lower revenue. Bring the prices back down and go for volume.

They have a great theater. Their staff is courteous and accommodating. There was a problem with our food order and they compensated us with some coupons because it ran past the movie start time. Marcus has great specials and offers that make the entire experience extremely enjoyable.

Complained to staff about loud and out of control toddlers in a rated P-13 movie, was told that it would be taken care of. Nothing was done, completely ruined the movie experience. Other Marcus locations have handled this better, very disappointing.

The food is probably better than 90% of restaurants in Rosemount. The smashburger was well seasoned, cooked to perfection and the bun was toasted just right. Buffalo chicken wrap and pizza were also very good. I wanted to compliment the grill master on the way out but there was a long line and I could see he was busy so I didn’t want to interrupt.

The beer was okay. The fact that they had other drinks (such as mules) was nice, trivia is good, glad they had a food truck. But, there was plenty of other people with infants there as well. Changing tables are a basic courtesy. We can't take babies outside in winter to change them.

I liked the outdoor space but inside it seemed a little stressful inside, no other way to put it, just a lot going on in a little space. The service was good and personal, but at the cost of a longer line and we did wait. I liked the beer and we tried several, favorites being the saison and the sour. There were games outside and this place is very kid friendly. They have a large screen for the Vikings games or other sports. I would go again.
Expansive park featuring a swimming beach, campsites & a variety of wildflowers.
Gorgeous, well-maintained and well-marked trails, and open to both snowshoeing/hiking and cross country skiing for the winter. Trail signage is clear and easy to follow, and the park offers gorgeous views of the river from several locations.

Nicely maintained State Park with riverwalk, forest and meadow trails for both hikers and bikers. The park has a couple of nice lookouts over the river and nice camping and picnic areas. There is also a public beach area that we didn't explore because dogs weren't allowed. We did explore the river and some cool driftwood in another beach area. Somewhat crowded on a Sunday afternoon in July. Not a lot of bugs.

Afton state park is a great state park for hiking, birding, and as well as camping. They have more than adequate parking in a couple different areas of the park. They have some really great camp sites throughout the park, including yurts that you can rent and camp in. There is some great views on top of the bluff overlooking the St. Croix River that is not too far from the main parking lot. If you hike down from there, you will eventually hike to the beach area, which is absolutely beautiful and fun to explore. They have picnic shelters and grilling areas right near the parking lot.

The hiking trails here cater to all skill levels, offering everything from leisurely strolls to challenging hikes. The park's well-maintained trails make exploring the wilderness a joy. One of my favorite spots is the overlook, where I pause to catch my breath and soak in the breathtaking views of the St. Croix River below. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or just looking for a peaceful retreat, I guess this park has it all.

Overall I had a decent visit hiking here. I only had time to hike the trails in the southern part of the park. The trail portions outside the woods were wide enough for side by side conversation and the parts of the trail near or inside the woods were single file. I visited in November, between the Fall color and white snow, when the aesthetics were rather bland.

Afton State Park is a great place for a family's day trip. We only had a couple hours, but got to hike a few miles and also saw the St Croix River from the overlook which was a very pleasant thing to do.
From the visitor center, the hiking trails toward south mostly don't have tall trees that provide shade. So it could be more challenging when it is hot. The trails toward north, however, have a lot of trees and are mostly covered by the shade of the trees, and therefore are easier for little kids.

Love that the south trail is all along the river. The signage isn't great but if you have a GPS map, you will be fine. Weekends are pretty busy. The trails are not challenging wirh the exception of a few steep hills and well maintained.

At sunrise we took the southern river loop by first walking through the prairie to the yurts/cabins before descending and taking the river path back. The river is still high and all the little sandbars and beaches remain underwater. While skirting the prairie we saw many deer including our first fawn of the year. There was an osprey preening on an unused nesting platform and many kingbirds in the trees at the prairie edge. My greyhounds and I had the paths to ourselves until the climb back up to the car park. My favorite walk in the park still is the northern river loop where the bird watching is superlative through the backpacker's campground.

Kind of hard to gauge a park because people look for so many different things. It's huge and it's a walking park mostly, I believe. Went on Memorial Monday and it was only about 60% full. I assume the appeal of more drive up and park options, which plenty of that stuff here, too. Love the different water levels of the river at different times of year.

During any season, Afton State Park is the perfect place for a hike. I enjoy both the prairie trails and the steep hill trails leading through the forest and down to the river. Generally, the rolling prairie walks have fewer people. In the winter, the snow makes the browns and reds of the dried prairie grasses seem more vibrant.

The park is pretty nice I thought. My family and I had a great time exploring the park. The main building was clean and pretty well set up. We brought a lunch with us and enjoyed it at the picnic area. While eating a park ranger came up to us and talked to the kids about the state park and some of the areas that they had to offer. They enjoyed talking to him and after he gave them each a Jr. Park ranger badge(sticker). We all had a fun time at the park!
3,000-acre riverside park encompassing Little Falls Lake with a waterfall, swimming & canoeing.
One of the more photogenic state parks in the system. Willow Falls is a pretty decent hike to a from, but the falls are beautiful and very pretty to look at. Willow Falls was also a dam at one point in its history, with some remnants from the past. Definitely worth a visit if you are coming from Minneapolis, St. Paul, or Eau Claire.

This is place is quite serene in the winter! All you can hear is the crashing/cascading waterfall, which was almost fully frozen when we went 12/27. Hike from parking area off main road is fastest way to falls, it’s a quite steep path, so it’s a good workout on the way back! Falls and gorge were very cool and beautiful, did not hike to overlook as it a lot of stairs!

Beautiful place! It was so fun swimming in the waterfalls. There is something to do for everyone. Dog friendly, kid friendly, and family fun. Did not know much about the falls until we actually went. Make sure you bring a swimsuit or wear clothing that you do not mind getting soaked in because you will not be able to resist going in! The trails are very well marked and clean. Overall a perfect place to visit on those hot summer days. Parking was a nightmare but definitely will be going again.

Beautiful falls! Very suprised to see flowing water in February. We only had an hour to explore, so we took the quickest trail to the falls..less than 1 mile total there and back. . It included a very steep decline down...which also means a steep incline on the way back. Not too bad, but maybe difficult for some. It was mostly paved...and not to muddy. Dog friendly park! Highly recommend....we will be back when we have more time. :)

Such a fun winter hike! I have trekking poles and they came in handy here as the winter trails are very very hilly and can be slick fyi. I recommend parking at the Nature Center and then hiking to the falls. A 15,000 steps hike down and back.

This is an outstanding state park! Clean, open, plenty of camping spots and wide, well marked trails. Plus the cherry on top is the beautiful falls and the perfect viewing area and bridge. I actually noticed many elderly people here, just showing how easily accessible the falls really are. A big bonus if you're able to visit during the Autumn color season.

This place was amazing! It is a very steep pathway down, but all paved. But the waterfall you get to witness at the end of the path is one of the best I've seen in my lifetime. Plus, they have a lookout point if you want to climb over approximately 150 stairs to the top. Again, well worth the burning muscles. Be prepared to get a workout. But you will not be disappointed. You can actually walk around the waterfall here. And the roar of it!!! I was in love!

Love the park, but it was actually the small parking lot that got me closer to where I wanted to be for a session with this beautiful couple. The gorgeous meadow / open area almost right off the parking lot had killer light, gorgeous backlit grasses, and intimate vibes, while the falls do tend to be a bit crowded and ... the water still pretty chilly. This was fun! Highly recommend for a hike or a shoot :)

It is $13 to get in that is a day pass and it includes everyone in the car. We went for the annual pass because we were visiting for two weeks. We went multiple days. So much fun and memories made together.

Amazing hiking and snowshoeing trails! We came from MN and were so impressed by this park. The falls, while frozen, were still absolutely breathtaking. All of the trails were also neatly groomed and great for hiking, snowshoeing, and XC skiing.

Visited this week for the first time in over 11 years and it's still beautiful. We've camped here in the past, and their campgrounds are wonderful. Clean bathhouses, private spots. The hike to the falls from the falls parking lot is short (but STEEP). Stroller accessible, I just wouldn't want to be the one pushing the stroller back up 😂 We took 9 kids and they all could have spent hours there playing in the water. Great spot for sure.

Fun little hike to a big waterfall! It takes about 15 minutes to get down to the falls but be warned it is VERY steep. You can feel it in your knees going down and going up kind of takes your breath away - literally.
I took photos of a couple here for the engagement photos, it does get kind of crowded and I imagine very busy on summer weekends

I've said it once, and I'll say it again. These are the coolest waterfalls I've seen since Niagara Falls. No joke. Our pit stop visit was a last-minute decision, and man, was it a good one. My wife and I got caught in a bad thunderstorm with our 2 small kids and baby while there, but even that couldn't get us down. We just hid in a nearby cave until it let up a bit. The kids had fun chasing and catching a toad for a while. So enjoyable. I can't wait to go again.

Wow, what an incredible park! My entire day outing with family and friends couldn't have been any better. This place is simply amazing for a delightful BBQ and a memorable family reunion. The 2-mile walk to the breathtaking falls in Wisconsin was an enchanting experience, immersing us in the beauty of true nature. With around 600 campsites, both with electricity and without, the options were plentiful, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
I must say, this park is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. The picturesque surroundings and the abundance of activities kept us entertained throughout. We couldn't have asked for a more fulfilling and enjoyable outing. Whether you are a nature enthusiast, a camping lover, or just looking to spend quality time with your loved ones, this place has something special for everyone. Highly recommended!

This place is magical! One of my new favorite hiking spots. The path to get down to the waterfall was a bit steep, so just keep that in mind. They had plenty of parking spots when we went, but we did get there early. I also loved that they have a selfie station to take pictures in front of the waterfall.

Hidden gem! Great spot to connect with nature, very clean. Easy way to visit WI if you are driving from Minneapolis/St. Paul. Short trail is very steep, about 4 hills before getting to the falls. Wear tennis/hiking shoes. Parking fee is different for in-state vs. out-of-state. For Summer wear mosquito repellent, winter it’s an amazing view, check if the trail is open before heading here. I don’t recommend strollers if you bring young kids (use a kangaroo wrap). If you bring older kids bring water and get ready to walk. For older folks, remember your cane or trekking poles. Worth every step!

A decent sized state park. There's a few things to see but not enough to stay for a long time. The campgrounds looks awesome though. Sucks that you have to pay for the campsite and a car pass. Check out the falls and the lake. 13 trails here and none are longer than 4 miles.

Beautiful in fall. Took the Willow Falls, Burkhardt and Nelson Farm trail. First two are totally worth it. Nelson Farm trail had its moments but could've been skipped - also the longest trail. 8 miles total. Took about 2.5 hours at a moderate pace.
Pictures make the falls look smaller than it actually is. The entire trail on the south side of Little Falls Lake has pretty views. Also some fun sights like giant pile of logs. Drive to the park is gorgeous too.

What an amazing State Park! The loop around the place is well kept and clean. No visible trash anywhere. The waterfall is absolutely amazing.

This place has become my ZEN. It's breath taking, a good hike to take. Then to top it off (which almost feels like the cherry on top of a warm brownie, with ice cream on top) the WATERFALL..I just sit there and take in all the scenery and get so lost into my thoughts. Highly recommend.

Absolutely loved this beautiful state park. We biked but hiking would have been fun too. You do need a state sticker to get into the park. Clean restrooms and a park area for the kiddos. Dog friendly. The waterfall was most amazing! I enjoyed this so much. I definitely recommend going here and enjoying nature and all its beauty. Nature is a natural antidepressant and does wonders for anxiety too! Great place for some phenomenal pictures. Go here!
Modern rooms in a Caribbean-themed casino resort with a golf course, bowling alley & indoor pool.
Top notch service as always! Very friendly and helpful staff! Our kids had such a great time at the kids quest that even after 2 hours they really didn't want to leave! Was sad to see the beverage stations gone, but relived to find out complimentary pop was still offered at the bar. Also noticed employees walking around taking drink requests. I think these were smart ideas. We had a great time on the machines! Wish we could've stayed longer :) can't wait to return! We did miss the buffet, but I thought I saw it was opening again soon?

I don't think we will ever go back here. The only thing that is decent is the bowling alley.
We went there to the casino on a mini road trip. Decided to try our luck. We get there, no parking, no events going on, valet is full. Etc. After we do finally find a spot after waiting, we find that almost every machine is full to the max. Decided to try and find a drink station. The drink stations are now machines that you have to pay for, they are no longer free and self serve. . We lost money in the machine because it did not dispense our drinks.
For the machines for themselves gave nothing. Did not get one bonus screen, cashed out 4 cent winnings. Pretty tight in a area full of people that need to make money.
We go to Grand Casino and their Casino is up to par. Bonus screens, you can sit there for hours and still break even at least. It's fun, clean and the service is much better.

Went for a concert. Their event center does not have a bad seat in the house! It's a Great venue :-) we stayed in the Buffalo Tower and it was pretty good. We got food from Currents and Trade winds. Both were good. Our server at currents told us that they were very short staffed. We did have a bit of a wait but she was very pleasant. Overall good experience

Mark who drives the electric car around and picks people up and drives them back to the car was the absolute best driver and guy you could have doing a job like that he was extremely entertaining and had the most welcoming attitude and smile he made our group feel as if we were getting the VIP experience we are not big gamblers but we will definitely be back again and hopefully mark is working he made our trip a blast. Also the guy that works at the bowling alley section was super cool and helpful to us as well we are planning another visit based on the way he treated us while we visited.

Treasure Island (T.I.) is always fun to go to. It is children friendly with its bowling, arcade, and swimming. I give the rooms a 4 only because last time I was there some rooms are updated and others are old. If T.I. has updated all their rooms then I give 5 starts. Depending on who I have interacted with I usually get great service, but there's always a chance I get the person in a mood. The location is a little far from the Twin Cities area and you have to take city roads to get there.
I prefer mystic lake because it seems the slots are looser there, but I have won at T.I. just not as much as Mystic Lake. I would recommend going there if you're in the area.

Check-in staff friendly and accommodating even with a long line. Worked effectively and all appeared friendly. We were in the Wolf Tower and had a great room. Modern, spacious, comfortable bed, lots of pillows, chair, bench, refrigerator, safe, nice bathroom/shower. Used the pool area, adults only area, hot tub, swim up bar and outside area. Friendly and attentive bartenders. Casino is smoke free and has usual variety. Live music was nice. They now have vending machines everywhere so not sure if you can still get free pop, watet, coffee like you used to. The one place they consistently fall short is food options. Very limited options, slow service and just all around disappointing. Otherwise good overall trip

I was really pleased with this property especially after reading all the bad reviews. This casino is worthy of any Vegas hotel! The staff was super friendly, the rooms (we stayed in the new addition) were very nice, everything was very upscale. Tons of slots! Lots to do! Prices are reasonable $5.00 for a Miller Lite. We will definitely be back.

The hotel room was in the Buffalo tower. It is quite dated. There were no outlets near the bedside table to hook up phone charge. The only ones we could find were across the room or on the bathroom! The water after the shower would not completely shut off. We were thankful for the shuttle and the driver was very nice! We ate in one of the restaurants and it was OK. It's on a Saturday night so things were backed up. We had fun playing black jack!

Worst casino ever. They have become extra greedy over the past 6 months. Nothing but lying and cheating and stealing our hard earned money.
This place takes your money offering very little in return. Not even a little fun while you lose! Every machine every time is nothing more than dead spins and empty bonuses on repeat!
Not too long ago, Treasure Island was actually an okay place to gamble, we actually prefered it over other casinos in Minnesota and Wisconsin, but not anymore.
We keep coming back hoping this time will be different and better, but unfortunately every visit ends up being worse than the one before!
They have replaced fun and fair gaming with stealing and cheating fueled by their overwhelming level of pure greed.
Because of this they are quickly losing their once loyal customer base.
From 12.15.2023 thru 4.8.2024 we (husband and I) have lost approximately $22,000 (see some of the detailed examples below)
They are intentionally stealing from me and the hundreds of others that walk through their doors on a daily basis.
Seriously people we all need to STOP GAMBLING AT TREASURE ISLAND!
If we don’t come, they have no one to steal from and if they can’t steal from us, they will be the ones losing.
Maybe when they are the ones losing they will finally realize that greed is bad for business
Best of luck to you all

My god they had games I've never seen before. The food was especially good and the people there truly want your time to be enjoyable. Kids quest was fun for my kid. She had a wonderful time said the Mac and cheese was delicious. Parking was easy and not complicated. You have to smoke outside but it was well worth the trip. Bingo slots resort kids quest or babysitters table games and a really nice hotel. Thier promotions were way better than other places I been to and guest services was not only helpful but all around good people. Our time was relaxing and fun I will be coming back to treasure island resort and casino!!!

The hotel was nice, good band was playing and most of the staff was really nice. Was at the arcade and the server went down and they wouldn't refund my money or the other three people I was with so just wasted $40, told me that the money stays on the card for ever but I don’t live close at all and didn’t want to come back in general. The lady at the arcade was kind of rude towards us when I asked if she could help us.

For me, it's a relatively close by casino. But by and large, it contains a plethora of cheaply realized slot machines, that aren't cheap to bet on... While it makes for a way to burn a few hundred dollars and an afternoon, it's more of a beating than enjoyable. Payouts are small and infrequent. Not enough to maintain interest or actually have fun...
And, it's quite common to see two identical machines with completely different minimum bets available. One id played was 30 cents. It's 100% identical twin say next to it, but its minimum better was 45 cents.
It's clean... And usually quite busy... But the shine the place used to have, seems gone - replaced instead with the unvarnished greed of money making.

Went there for concert. Didn't stay in a room so I couldn't give it a rating. Parking was fine but leaving was horrible. Took almost an hour to leave the area and this was two hours after the concert. The casino is great. Lots of table games and slots. Poker room has 7 tables and played 3-6 kill and 2-100 spread with no cap. I enjoyed the room. Only downside was couple dealers seemed to be beginners and no fountains for drinks for pop/coffee. Had to ask waitress or bar.

We used to come here regularly years ago and go to the seafood night at the buffet. Now that it finally reopened after the pandemic, we were really looking forward to coming back. Unfortunately the new reservation/waitlist system is a borderline scam likely designed to get walk ins to gamble for hours on the off chance of getting in. We had this happen to our group and ended up leaving without getting in to the buffet. The best part is the casino wasn’t nearly as busy as it used to be and from talking to the staff it sounds like a good portion of the reservations are no shows and there are tons of empty tables. Definitely won’t be back.

This is a very nice hotel and casino near Redwing, MN. They have a large gaming area, I honestly find the layout a bit confusing after several visits. They have a wide variety of modern slots, classic penny slots, a large table gaming area, as well as a bingo annex. The casino is non-smoking however there is a nice large smoking area with its own bar, so you could easily be in there the whole time. One of the biggest drawbacks in my opinion is the lack of free refreshments. There are Pepsi machines all over where you can purchase a $3 bottle and there are bars stocked with various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. There is a buffet and several eating establishments right off the gaming floor but honestly I don't know anything about any of that. If you're new, as I recently was, it would probably help to have a friend go with who knows the ropes. Their new member promotion included a spin on a wheel if you could accumulate 10 points. I was surprised to find out it cost several dollars for each point. It ends up costing like 11 dollars and then I only won $8 free play on the wheel. Having pointed out the opportunities, I have gone 4 times and won $100, lost $10, and came up even twice. Staff has been friendly except for one unusual experience with a somewhat hostile bartender - apparently standing at the bar and ordering a drink might be a trigger for some, you're supposed to order from the little corral bars thing. Overall a good casino, I will definitely go back.

some of the employees were quite rude, They have a lot of stupid rules. If you get one of their scooters you cannot have any alcohol. they only allow only drink at a time. So you have to completely finish one before they'll give you another.
The rooms are very nice and I love the pool area. I don't like that. The pool doesn't open till four in the afternoon and closes at ten. They do have good promotions.

Nice, smaller casino. Has a lot to offer. Bowling, pool, spa, buffet, golf, and entertainment. When you get the players card, you receive some great promotions. Also, come on your birthday month and receive more promotions like $1 off every year you were born from your hotel room. They have tables, slots, and more. It is a destination to go to, even if you don't even like to gamble. The only thing is that some of the older hotel towers need to be upgraded. They have some great acts that come. The staff is really friendly.

Recently stayed here overnight with some friends. The hotel rooms are fine but a little dated. I do know they've been updating and some of the sections of the hotel have newer rooms that are very nice. They have a massive parking lot but a shuttle found us and drove us and our stuff to the front door which was very nice.
I enjoy playing roulette but this was located in the smoking section which is fine but after awhile it was a little much.
Overall I had a great time and will return.

We didn't stay overnight this trip but haven't had any negative issues with rooms in the past, so I gave 5* for rooms. Service is still pretty spotty, but the buffet has opened for certain days. It was open for Easter brunch, and it's open for Mother's Day. Hopefully more times soon. Finding a drink person walking the floor is near impossible, and they don't have any self-service stations open yet. Getting a drink at the bar is near impossible also because the line is always long and usually just 2 bartenders are working. They need to have a water/soda only line available. That would be super. Lots of workers are still seen wiping down machines and chairs. I always thank these workers. Smoking by the entrances is just terrible. They are too close to the doors, and you have to walk through a cloud of smoke. Smoke if that's your thing, but for non-smokers, this is just awful. They need to be farther away from the doors if they're smoking.

The rooms were probably the nicest ice ever stayed in that we didn't pay extra for. Large with high ceilings and nice bathroom. The shower was amazing. It was actually large with glass shower doors. No cheap flimsy curtain that always gets in the way. Adjustable shower head and hand held wand that actually works and has great water pressure. My only complaint is the lack of cover space in the bathroom. Bed was nice, albeit a little hard. But that's a personal preference. Good size fridge and a safe round out the amenities. The food was very good, and the service was good for the most part. We ate in the currents restaurant one evening and it was way too loud. No sound deadening items other than the seats you sat in. One almost had to yell in order to talk to the person next to you. Not an exaggeration. The waitress we had that night was horrific. She joked about things she shouldn't have, never checked on us, and forgot things we asked for. I would not eat there again. We did not try any of the other restaurants, hopefully they are better. The casino portion is easy to get lost in. The casino staff was very helpful and polite. The gift shop could use a few more items, especially men's clothing. Parking is plentiful, although an extra shuttle or two wouldn't hurt so one doesn't have to wait so long, or walk a mile. The carts to help get your luggage to your room or back to your car are also few and far between. You need to be quick in order to get one. Overall it was a good experience and I would stay here again. The live entertainment was awesome with the Rockin' Hollywood's, and the MOTM car show was extremely cool with a parking lot full of Mustang's. From the classics, to the newest ones you could buy.

We were in the Buffalo tower and our room was well used. I did not feel the cost of the room, equalled the value. I heard from other guests, that their room was better. I'm not a typical patron - we stayed one night, came to see a show in the Parlay Lounge, no gambling. Not sure if there was a big event there that day, but there were tons of people and lines. Had a room in the Wolf Tower. There were no available luggage carts at check in time. The room was clean and we had plenty of space but it was overpriced at nearly 400.00 and no room service or literature in the room for food/things to do. The mattress was a bit crunchy. Went to see a rock show, there is a nice stage setup at Parlay Lounge was great and the sound engineer did a fantastic job w/lights & sound. There is no table service and the bar staff were extremely overworked and lines were long.

The St Croix Casino is an incredible place to visit and stay at. You wouldn't expect it from a Wisconsin town but the place is large and incredibly popular. Two massive rooms full of games. Ranging from cards, to dice, to slots. They do take care to keep the place clean as well. Ate at the restaurant and recieved timely orders and good food. Watched a live event of Dirty Little Secret on a stage that performed an incredible production for the band. Would absolutely love to come back as soon as possible.

The night started out great, had a fun time, was enjoying some drinks and slots, had popped outside a few times to get some fresh air, last time I went back in I was stopped and asked for my ID which I gave to the gentleman without hesitation then was told I would have leave because I smelled of alcohol. I was not drunk, I did have a few in the span of 4.5 hours, but was not incapable of making smart decisions. This was my second time gambling and I was excited and having fun and they took that energy and the fact that of course I smelled like alcohol because that's kinda what you do at a casino, as a reason to deny entrance. I found this a bad experience and do not wish to go back any time soon, especially because this didn't just happen to me that night. I do wish things had gone differently due to the first half of the night being a very enjoyable time but being kicked out for no good reason has made my decision to not go back very easy.

The machines are so tight now. I am definitely not a disgruntled gambler. I've been going there for many years. Since the new GM took over, I have seen a huge difference in how the machines pay out and in the amount of weekly rewards that you earn has extremely depleted! Any other casino that I have gone to is always sending me flyers offering me a huge amount of rewards or offers, and I am lucky if I go to their establishments once a year. I don't think they understand how casinos are supposed to be ran.

The bar supervisor was good to cut off my boyfriend from drinking anything further tonight. It was a fun two hours, I walked out with an extra $100 from what I brought in.
I don’t come to the casino expecting to win anything and always come with limited money I allow myself to spend, if you find the right machines. You can play off $20 for half an hour or so. I only spent $60 out of the $200 that I brought.
I didn’t eat at the concession but usually when I do the food is pretty decent. And when I’ve eaten at the restaurant before the food was very really delicious.

The employees really work hard to keep things clean around you. Always empting ash trays and picking up after people's trash. The staff at the TLC booth are always ready to answer your questions about promotions. I find the staff at the dining area are friendly and always willing to get whatever you need to make your dining experience enjoyable. I've seen first hand the care, concern and compassion shown toward guests that have collapsed because of a medical emergency. Overall my experience has been really really good. Especially some of the entertainment acts they book. World-class performers coming to turtle lake and their other casino locations. Definitely a huge economic boost for the tourism industry.

Met up with some friends here recently, the experience was okay but I don't plan on coming back. The saving grace is that the restaurant was very, very good and the drinks are quite cheap. Otherwise, they have an overabundance of security milling about. I am 31 and got ID'd multiple times, perhaps wristbands would help? We saw a live band there which was quite fun, but the absolute second they stopped playing (weren't even off the stage yet), staff were demanding that we get up and leave. Not a very welcoming place and the ventilation could use some work as my entire party became sick to some degree overnight from the second hand smoke.

A few months back, we came with a larger group. Having a great time, excited to be there. A few people had started doing well at the craps table and we cheered them on. Apparently that is grounds for cutting people off who had just got done with their first drinks. When asked why we were being cut off, they responded with “visual cues”. Again, we had just ordered our first drinks. Even that was a struggle. Your staff is rude, disrespectful and not welcoming. Highly advise that if you have a group event, spending a good amount of money… go elsewhere. They treat you like garbage here.

We ate at the restaurant Saturday 9/10. My friend ordered the french dip sandwich and the server informed her that it comes as a half sandwich "because either I or another employee will eat the other half." She said no I'll be taking the entire sandwich and the server became obviously angry. Strangest dining experience of my life for sure. We followed that by losing $160 in 25 minutes on the slot machines. Enjoy it Turtle Lake.

I've been going to TLC for almost 20 years. January 26th, 2024 we went and I took money from the ATM, apparently the ATMS were having network issues and while it took the money from my bank account, it did not dispense any funds. I flagged down an employee right away and while waiting for an ATM worker to come by, I was informed I was not the first person who this happened to. The ATM worker came over, shut down all ATMS in the casino as I was 'the 10th person' this happened to. Then he informed me that they can't give me my money but I need to call some 800 number of who owns the ATMS and they'd get a report issued and get my funds back. I called immediately while still in the casino. They advised me 3-5 business days to get my money back. It's now been just shy of one month and I have no money back. I dealt with the terrible (unaccredited) ATM company they use in the casinos, who said they issued it back on January 27th but I needed to wait the full 10 business days and then after the 10th day I was informed that they did all they could and now it was up to my bank to 'find the money' using some tracing number. I have called the ATM place, they do not return my calls. I have reached out to Turtle Lake Casino 3 times and no one has ever returned my calls. I filed disputes with my bank on February 9th but still...I'm out several hundred dollars and Turtle Lake Casino couldn't even be bothered to call me as they said they would. I might not spend big bucks here but I'm here 3-4 month and to not even get a call back is such a disappointment, I don't think I'll be visiting anymore.

Took an overnight road trip here to see the John 5 concert and it was a fun getaway. Be aware the hotel is just down the road from the Casino but they do have a shuttle going.
The hotel sells frozen pizza to self cook late at night

I went to this casino and had a horrible experience. The waiters, staff, and security were nothing but rude during my time there. When I unwrapped my silver ware my fork was still dirty. I was parked in a parking spot and they made me move my car all the way back for what? 2/10 even the Building wasn’t the nicest, when I went to the bathroom the sink didn’t turn on and they were out of paper towels. Not going to be returning ever, do NOT recommend. What i would recommend is driving further distance for a better casino.

Our First time coming to the casino, made reservations at the hotel, and first pulled up to the casino. Thought maybe we were in the back upon first appearance. It looked very unimpressive the inside was just as bad as the
outside. The employees there were rude. The ambience was uninviting, and the hotel was old needed a remodel desperately! If you're planning a trip, I would 100% say go to a different casino, reroute your trip try the Ho Chunck Madison, or Treasure Island Welch MN! Otherwise good luck!

Went to place a bet @ the Book. Wanted to do it at the counter, rather than a kiosk to make sure I had done it right. Unfortunately it was not manned. I asked some of the staff when it might be, but no one knew. It would be nice if they had hours/days posted when the counter would be covered.

Was a good time, helps that I won. Nice atmosphere and good food.
Had a prime rib sandwich that was amazing, best I've had anywhere.
With the updated sports bar and book, there is quite the difference in men watching games and drinking beers while wife's Gamble the slots. The food is quite good and easy to get.

Absolutely the worst casino on earth. Their sports book is a scam and the stuff is rude and unprofessional. They won’t pay you out when you win and are rude when you ask why. Everything is overpriced and the casino smells like piss.
This is a great place to visit with your family. The cave tour takes about an hour and is very informative. The cave itself is beautiful and diverse with easy walkways for all abled ages. There's also a nature trail with a lot of interesting plaques, a human sundial, and a fun fossil themed mini golf course. The whole family loved the experience and wants to to back again.
Nate Jurgens — Google review
I have been to numerous caves around the country and even internationally. Crystal Cave was probably one of the most underwhelming of the caves that I have visited.
The price for admission was not worth the experience. (Over $50 for me and my 2 daughters)
The tour was less than an hour. The guide really knew very little about the cave except for what was on the script. The entire tour was overly scripted with no natural flow… and really not fun.
The cave is incredible, but does not have any really amazing formations. However, this was my youngest daughter’s first cave experience and she loved it.
The grounds are beautiful and well kept. There is a mini-putt golf course that we didn’t even consider after paying for admission.
Had the tour been more natural and fun rather than scripted and clearly rehearsed to sound that way, I may have gone up a star or two. But between that and the price, I couldn’t go any higher on stars.

This was a wonderful experience! What an amazing hour we spent seven stories underground learning about the cave and its formation. Our guides were fun and answered all of our questions, and there are many interesting formations and rock types to see. The lighting really added to the experience and highlighted the stalactites and flowstone formations. We were also excited to see a sleeping bat!
We saw deer and a heron on the property and learned they have their own sugarbush for maple syrup production. We only toured the caves but the gift shop, panning for semiprecious stones, and mini golf would make for a fun family day. We had lunch in town which was also wonderful.

The cave tour was really interesting the guide did a really great job Explaining everything. You do need to call ahead and make an appointment for your tour. The group was not to big.It was a fairly easy walk I believe anyone can do it. The temperature is not too bad, I just wore a sweater and that was fine. They also have a miniature golf course on site and a beautiful souvenir store where you can buy all kinds of rocks, geodes, Fossils and other things.

Great experience. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the cave and its history. I highly recommend visiting this place. The cave is beautiful and it's great for any age. The gift shop has many beautiful things you can buy some expensive and some not so expensive. The mini golf is awesome. Me, my wife, son and daughter had a great time playing it after the end of our cave tour. The gift shop and restrooms are clean and I think the price of admission to the cave and mini golf is very reasonable.

The caves are neat, and the grounds are gorgeous. I knocked a star off for our tour guide. He was young and could've been new, but he had a tough time reading the room. He barely spoke up when someone's child was sitting where you don't touch. I heard him since I was standing next to him, my head turned, and the mom in me barked for that kid to get off and don't touch!
The young guy that did our tour at Niagara was fabulous, so it's not just about age.

Today's Adventure was at the Crystal Caves in Wisconsin! The Location is very well organized. Main gift shop & entrance. Tons of areas to sit for picnic, Gem panning, plus their very own dinosaur miniature golf!
I am happy to say I enjoyed the full experience. I even purchased a rock that they split open and was able to film and help in the process. If you want a family fun adventure this is the place to go! The tour prices, miniature golf, gem pinning, post cards and t-shirts are all reasonably priced. The rocks in the store are all certified as legit. They have a variety of snacks and drinks avail as needed. All the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable they regularly welcome any questions you might have. On the grounds they several paths to explore.
Today's adventure was a huge success!

A fantastic place to visit for any age. If you enjoy nature tours, this comes highly recommended. It has been about 25 years since I last visited, and it didn't disappoint bringing my 9 year old this time around. The drive to here can be worth it in of itself, many small towns surrounding Crystal Cave with plenty of beautiful scenery.
The mini golf course is another activity I would recommend weather permitting.

We had a wonderful trip to Crystal Caves on a Sunday. It was not overly crowded. We booked our tickets online a few weeks before and had no trouble checking in at the visitor center. The gift shop was amazing and I need to go back to add some stones to my collection. The cave tour was about an hour long which was perfect for the young kids we had with us. The temperature was fairly cool in the caves so I would suggest making sure everyone has sweatshirts with them. The cost was fairly reasonable - approximately $85 for two adults and two kids. There were several picnic tables scattered throughout the grounds so we made use of them for a little picnic. Parking was not a problem. I would come back with people visiting from out of town. It was worth the drive down from the Twin Cities.

We went here as a team group from work and had a great time! I remember coming as a kid with school and maybe a couple other times as a young adult, but was really impressed this time with how really beautiful and well-kept the grounds were. There was really nice rest/picnic areas, super clean/modern restroom facilities and a wonderful gift shop with all sorts of interesting good finds. Our cave guide Katie was the best. She was knowledgeable, fun and entertaining. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time here with our family! We took a 11:20am tour and it wasn’t as busy. All the staff was friendly and helpful. Our tour guide, Teddy, was great! I recommend wearing sweaters for the cave tour as it is chilly down there, especially for the kids. We also did the “Mother Load” gem & fossil panning and our 6 & 2 year old kids enjoyed it a lot! Highly recommend bringing your own lunch and enjoying the picnic tables in the shade. The landscape is lovely and all the facilities are clean and well-maintained.

Our family of 6 enjoyed our visit here. Our tour guide, Laura, was very friendly and funny. Our hour of walking was insightful and interesting. There was lots to see and plenty of time to take in our surroundings. Our youngest (5) was able to complete the guide with minimal assistance from either me or my husband. I suggest bringing a jacket as the cave is 50 degrees Fahrenheit. There was no crawling or squeezing through passages, as my kids had highly anticipated.

We stopped by here on a whim to kill time before the Cheese Curd Festival in Ellsworth and it was the BEST decision! The cave and grounds were amazing. I highly recommend spending a half day here walking the trails, playing mini golf and touring the cave. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly.

This place was a lot of fun! The guide was super friendly and nice to the kids. She made the tour far more enjoyable with her enthusiasm about everything and the great answers to silly kid questions! The prospecting was very fun for the kids as well. The little fossils and gems really made their day after the hike in the cave! The Tee-Rex putt putt was very enjoyable also! My kids have already asked to go back soon!

Quiet, serene. My father recently passed and as a child he stomped these woods, which he held dear to his heart all his life. He passed this love on to his three girls. We were walking in his memory with our mother. Was a pleasant way to honor his life. And seemed perfect to ask in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the park to keep this sacred space maintained for future generations, such as his grandchildren and theirs.

My kids and I love this zoo. The animals are so active, clean exhibits, zoo associations constantly walking around and talking to people and just great information all around.
I especially love that they have the old machines that make the plastic animals on the spot. This is such a nostalgic thing for me and I’m so glad I can share this with my kids.
The outside of the grounds is beautiful walking in and all the exhibits are inside and close near by. This makes is so easy with little ones.

Irvine zoo is beautiful. They don't have a large quantity of animals but the location is amazing.there are multiple hiking trails as well as a beautiful dam, an old school house and log cabin. This is a wonderful place to visit with family and especially children. It is also free to get in. I definitely recommend visiting.

Great park!! Lots of things to see.. a waterfall, museums, wild ducks, gardens, several playgrounds, a babbling brook, lots of shelters and picnic tables. Great opportunities to walk, hike, skateboard, bike, etc but still completely handicap accessible. The animals are clearly well cared for and are visible (unlike a lot of zoos) and are honestly just icing on the cake as thw rest of the park is phenomenal! I've taken hundreds of pics over the years, but here are a couple of our most recent ones!

When I first came to the area to visit my boyfriend, he took me here! It was a surprise and now, every time we are in Chippewa, I ask him to take me to the park!
In the winter time, most of the animals aren't out... but in the summer you can see them all, plus some miniature horses, donkeys and even some goats (all of which you can actually pet and interact with).
A lot of these photos were taken in the spring, so around March/April, but I will post more once I go again and if the miniature horse and donkeys are out :)
If you're having a bad day, go visit some animals! You'll love it here.

This week was our first time visiting the area and visiting the zoo! It was lovely! We first did the drive-around park, back by the elk and buffalo, and then came back around to park and walk. We went inside the main building, where there is a little food shop, and saw some displays of items.from back in the old days. Then we walked the little zoo. It was a hot day, and we went right around 1pm, so most of the animals were inside. My son's favorite part was geesing pellets to the goats (25 cents for a small handful).
The greater park had playgrounds and picnic tables, perfect for a family day out.

Please update your website. Beautiful park that is absolutely free to the public and operates solely through private donations. Made quite a drive to get there and wasn't disappointed. Lots of room for activities, family get togethers, picnics etc. Playgrounds, benches, picnic tables, gazebos. Further back are the animals which you can observe while going on an extensive hike on the "loop" inside the park. Many of the animals were no longer inside their "homes" with no explanation as to why. Expect lots of people if visiting during the summer months. Further back in the park are secluded picnic areas, and waterfalls which we unfortunately didn't see but wish we would have. A historic handmade home, school and outbuildings can be seen further back deeper in the park. Ponds with geese, beautiful rock cliffs and old growth trees were some of our favorite sites. There is food for sale although it is rather pricey so if you're on a budget please keep that in mind. Overall, a wonderful & beautiful place to spend a warm sunny day with your family or even by yourself!

Monday, December 18, 2023, my dog, Buster, and I went to Irvine Park here in the rural town of Chippewa Falls Wisconsin. The park was decorated with a ton of Christmas lights and other Christmas stuff and temporarily named Christmas Village. It was awesome. Lots slowly drove through staying warm inside our vehicles like Buster and me. Others soaked up the enchanting experience walking around in the bitter cold. Well, we do that in Wisconsin. If you have kids or you are a kid at heart this is the best place in the world to enjoy Christmas. We just missed their special event where they had live actors. But to me, this Christmas Village was so exciting especially watching my dog Buster. He sat upfront and often hung himself halfway out the car window bebobing his head from side to side to enjoy all the sights and the people strolling through. I took a short video but you need to experience this yourself to understand.

Always an amazing time! I decided to visit during the winter, which meant taking a walk along the loop. It was absolutely worth it, even with a limited number of animals on display due to the freezing cold. The calm and content animals residing in their enclosures were very humbling to observe. Despite lacking a degree, I noticed how relaxed they all appeared. Being so close to these magnificent creatures was a truly unforgettable experience.

We live out of state in the South West. This is a beautiful place to walk, hike and they even have a small zoo. Definitely worth visiting!

Irvine Park is a great zoo and the park are such unique spaces! My only suggestion would be to have more information on the website about the zoo. We didn't know it was free or the style of the space until we read reviews and saw for ourselves. Hopefully this will help others:
The Zoo is completely free, but donations are suggested. They have a nice smaller selection of animals (some common and some uncommon) and there are plenty of opportunities to take some wonderful photos! It doesn't take long to go through the first section - maybe 30-45 minutes, but another maybe 30-45 minutes if you take your time and see the rest. The park has a continuous road all the way around the zoo and park, so make sure you hop in the car and follow the path past the buffalo if you'd like to see all the animals!
The Park is gorgeous! Also free and it's beautifully maintained while staying wild. Great for walking, biking, kayaking, etc. There are picnic areas and a huge playground with plenty of room for everyone. There's also a pond with a fun spitting turtle fountain and a a little gazebo on the water. There are some wild waterfowl to watch and ducklings out and about. Very relaxing!
There is also a Visitor's Center, but they were closed when we went both days. I can't speak for anything about what they have since we missed them, but there is an Olson's Ice Cream sign outside with concession stand.
The Irvine Zoo and Park close at dusk, so it's a great way to spend the day! So absolutely worth visiting!
Chaos Water Park is an indoor aquatic playground that features a meandering lazy river, various water slides, and other exciting aquatic activities. Adjacent to the water park is Action City, a massive arcade with trampoline parks and ninja warrior courses. The venue offers plenty of entertainment options for all ages, including a maze course for younger children. Although enjoyable, visitors may find themselves spending significant amounts of money. It is advisable to arrive early on Saturdays to secure seating as tables fill up quickly.
Kids always have fun, adults can relax, there's something for almost anyone, & while it's crowded, we all have a great time! The only concern is those allergic to chlorine, it's heavy concentration in the steamy pool area this time of year. Perfectly safe for those without allergies ❤️

Had a great time (2/26/22). Tables fill up, so gotta get there early if you want to get a table or lounge chair on Saturdays. Pizza looked good(prob. tasted good too. I didn't order). Water was warm, which felt so good right now in the winter.

Kids had fun! We just came for the afternoon/evening swim. Seemed a bit pricey for the shorter time frame at $37.50 per person. I can understand that price for an entire day, but for the evening seems a bit stiff.
Not much change since the last time we came 6-7 years ago. Some of the water areas are starting to show their age.
Older Kids liked the slides & Lilly pads, little kids liked the water bucket and water playground!
The chlorine smell at the top of the big slides was strong and made the kids cough. Could use some better ventilation.
Overall we had fun and staff was fairly friendly!

My only advice to future clientel...is to make sure u have PLENTY of money to fork out per child!!

Basically this contains a kiddie splash area, a lazy river, and 2 water slides. Overall it felt unhygienic in the locker rooms and stifling hot. Everything is so loud, you can’t hear yourself think or talk to your kids. Pluses: staff is nice, they serve beer.

We spent $147 for 4 adults and 2 kids under 2, and then more if you want to eat while you’re there of course. This would have been fine if the waterpark had more to offer but we got bored after an hour due to there not being much to do for the little ones. The kids did enjoy the little waterslide and the water was very warm compared to some places you go making it enjoyable. Truly though, the place is disgusting. The water table has slime on it, the tables and chairs have slime on them, the locker rooms are absolutely unexceptable. Wet towels and garbage scattered around, feces on the stalls and toilet seats, wet toilet paper, the smell is atrocious. We went on a Sunday afternoon so it wasn’t very busy but would recommend just going to the other side where the arcade and jump park is, way more fun!

This is our second time and it was even better this time. You see people from all.over which can be a shock to some, but we didn't have much incident. Most people were friendly and nice. The staff, was incredible to us. We were a large group and we stayed a couple of days and I felt the customer service was nice. The young peole really seemed like they wanted to work and not just hang out and ignore you. We had a problem with our all day jumping pass and they were quick to work it out for us. The young lady with the fancy spiky hair was so incredible to us. Also the gentleman running the go-karts. They were interactive and quick with problems with the spin outs. There was a gentleman with curly hair and glasses, I think, that helped us tremendously at the lazer tag. He made sure we could all go as a family. We had a blast. We were able to enjoy ourselves in a decent suite and bunkbed rooms and they were clean and neat. The outside of the suite was incredible. All we had to do is pull the car to the back and unload and upload. That was amazing. The only thing I didnt know is that pets are allowed. We have 2 people allergic to dogs and some dogs were huge. The check in was a little late. Not till 4pm, but at least we could swim. We didn't have any problems. Swim area was great and lifeguards very careful and helpful. We are already planning next years trip if we can wait.

I took off of work 2 months ago to take my water loving baby here for her first time for toddler swim.
I took off to go for MY Birthday Because I love seeing my baby happy.
Only to find out it's the only day they aren't doing toddler swim.
How is $35 affordable to just sit in the baby area?
I've been looking forward to this day for so so long.

Our stay at the attached hotel included passes to the water park so we spent an afternoon in the whirlpool hot tub here to relax. It was not crowded so we only had occasional interruptions from cannonballing small children, who are not technically allowed to be in the hot tub unsupervised.
The signage is amusing, so be sure to read all the rules.
There is a locker room/ bathroom for those not staying at the motel.
Food is kid oriented with pizza, chips and candy as the main fare. We didn't order anything.
The drinks were expensive and mostly limited to what comes in a can because glass is not allowed near the pool. The offerings included a couple beers, hard lemonade, hard iced tea, and hard seltzer all at $10/can.
The room rental came with up to six guest passes to Chaos water park, which can still be used the following day after you check out. We spent the afternoon enjoying the larger whirlpool hot tub which was pretty good except too far from the bar.. I got out a few times to cool off in the lazy river. Luckily it was not crowded the day we were there.
They offer a seasonal pass although I didn't check the details. There were several kids' birthday parties going on and cabanas which could be reserved for parties, and one large separate room that could be reserved.

I really enjoyed this waterpark! It is located inside the Metropolis Hotel in Eau Claire. It's a great waterpark to go to throughout the year since it's located inside. It is perfect for young kids and has several different areas for different ages. It has a smaller play area for the younger kids, a lazy river, a bigger/slightly deeper area for the older kids with a basketball hoop and 2 slides for the bigger kids/adults. It also has tables and chairs everywhere so there's always a place to sit and set your stuff down. There is also a place called Monkey in the Middle Express (pizza) that's located inside the waterpark area so you don't have to leave to get food or drinks if you don't want to. Very pleased with our stay and can't wait to go back and enjoy this waterpark again with our kids!!

Fun touristy spot. Exclusive flavors, merchandise for days, polite staff, and brewery tours. Book tours in advance as they sell out.

Wonderful tour! Nancy was our tour guide, and she was fantastic. She only works on Saturdays, but I highly recommend asking to be on her tour. The only bad part about touring on a Saturday is that the factory is not in operating, but I don't think that really took away from our experience. We would definitely come back. The 5oz sample tickets are a great way to taste different beers in the lodge you might not normally try. For around $15 a person for the tour and 4, 5oz beers, I thought it was definitely worth it!

Informative, guide was great, didn't just throw a bunch of facts at ya, even let one of the guests lead the tour for a minute with some information they knew...then the samples !! Very Nice ! great gift shop, lots to choose from, would love to go back when they have the food trucks !

Super fun brewery to check out. It’s a must do in Chippewa Falls. Lots of areas to order beer inside. Tons of souvenirs and clothing options. Indoor and outdoor seating. Limited food, they did have a food truck parked outside to order from. Parking lot and free on street parking available.

Stopped in early on Saturday. The bar was empty, but the beer was tasty. Clothing is a bit expensive but fun to browse.

Touristy destination brewery, but they fully embrace it. All of their beers on tap is nice, but the 50/50 mixes they have are the real attraction. A lot of them combine the sweetness of their shandies with darker beers which works incredibly well. We got a 50/50 pint and 2 small pours for $10 which was a welcomed price tag compared to west & east coast breweries.
They offer brewery tours and merch if that's your thing. As far as destination breweries go, it's done well.

A must stop for all beer fans and even non-beer fans. Historic brewery with incredible welcome center featuring fantastic servers/bartenders. Employees really seem to enjoy working there. Almost 1 dozen beer styles on tap, including new releases. Tours are fun and well paced. Outside grounds are well maintained.

We took a tour of the brewery. Our guide, Shelby, was amazing and super knowledgeable. Beer was amazing and ice cold, awesome for a warm day. $15.00 well spent on an awesome experience and with (4) 5 ounce tasters included.
Very nice, place to see and take in what has happened with our country over many yrs.
It was nice to see that this place talked about what this country and its armed forces has gone threw to keep us FREE.
I hope this place stays like it its because, this the only way our grandchildren and there children will be able to see what has taken place to be have FREEDOM .
My wife and stopped at each monument and read the place and time of what happened.
Was also surprised there was not more people here, was only one other couple.
This place needs to be visited.

This is a great tribute to our veterans. The statues and history are wonderfully presented. It's a must visit in Arcadia!

This park was well planned and laid out. There are memorials from every armed conflict since Arcadia was founded. It covers everything from the Mexican American war thru Desert Stomr. The park is well maintained and clean, offers many places to sit and rest. The only complaint is that it has room to grow. I hope it does not grow.

This is a very nice memorial park. From the first Independence War to the Perisan war there is a memorial for all of them. It was a very emotional and proud place to be. If you are in Acadia WI you have to see this.

Day was overcast, had a bit of rain but road the trail anyways. Such a beautiful trail to ride. There are some spots that probably could do with a bit of repair, and there was a bit of a wash out area and a tree across the trail. It just added to the challenge. Still truly enjoyed the day tho. Enjoy visit this bike trail at least once a year.

This place is pretty cool. I would have loved it when I was younger and most likely seriously injured myself. I feel like 25 years from now our children will talk about this place the way we talk about merry-go-rounds and twenty foot tall metal slides with scalding hot surfaces.

Very easy trail ti hike well maintained and accessible for any age weather your 80 or 8 this trail will be right for you

We picked up the trail at the Sparta information booth. It is an old rail station and kept up well. There is plenty of information inside and even a gift shop. A trail pass is required and can be purchased here.
It is uphill mostly to get to the nearest tunnel, but well worth the ride. Keep up a steady pace and stay in top of gear changes. There are great views, shade, benches and bridges along the way.
The tunnel is 3/4 of a mile long and about 20° cooler than outside. Be sure to have a bike light or flashlight. Groundwater drips down inside the tunnel, so be prepared to get a little wet.
The trail is even and compact with very little ruts. It was an enjoyable day.
Jon Schmirler — Google review
Easy, relatively flat trail. Wooded and shaded for long sections with some exposed sections. We started at Sparta and went to the Purple Cow in Bangor and back this trip. Hard packed rock trail that road bikes unless very sensitive can use.
John Havens Jr — Google review
Good bike trail from connecting to LaCrosse and beyond. It could get boring, it's a straight shot with minimal turns and elevation, so bring your headphones for some of entertainment. I saw few bike repair stations, but unsure of their location.
Przemek Krysinski — Google review
Peaceful ride. This trail is better mananged-kept than the Great River State Trail. The bridges are in better condition. The trail was also freshly mowed along the edges which is a plus. Be prepared as the mosquitoes are horrid between LaCrosse and West Salem in the lowlands. They're also very thick near the West Salem County Park trail access. Trail is somewhat slick in spots with smooth tires when wet.
Bob Siewert — Google review
A nice Trail but not as good as the Elroy Sparta Trail heading south out of Sparta. If you have a heavy East or Westerly wind? Go to the appropriate end of the trail and Ride With the Wind at your back.
If you do this Trail a must stop? THE Purple Cow in Bangor. Their ice cream and their sandwiches are worth riding the trail for. It doesn't much better than this
Hotel casino offering bingo, slots & table games plus frequent entertainment & on-site dining.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great atmosphere and very clean. Tons of machines to choose from and if you like blackjack, that's there too. I'm not sure about poker as don't play and didn't see any set up for poker. Restaurant and bar inside, also very clean and friendly staff. Great way to relax, have fun, and maybe take a little extra money home with you.

The Ho-Chunk Nation did a wonderful job on this designing this space. This place is spacious & the decor is luxurious. We attended a Marlon Wayans stand up. The theater's seating & vibe was accommodating. The lighting & sound systems were perfect. The long Island ice tea I ordered was delicious & affordable but the lines to order drinks were extremely long. They need more bartenders. We didn't gamble but everyone seemed to having a blast. We will definitely return in the future the drive in was so beautiful.

Hotel room was fine few spots needed some TLC like the air vent, filled with dust. Maybe there’s something going on behind the scenes but the employees were very edgy and rude. Not just one from checkin to checkout.
Was a quick few hour stop over, worked out but wouldn’t stay again. The Comfort Inn down the road is much better with accommodating staff.

Nice people and the updates done a few years ago have made it really nice. Large gaming floor with dividers on the machine banks to improve health safety. The weekend live entertainment at the bar on the floor is great - get to enjoy the music from wherever you are.

The hotel was great for the price. You need a key card to access rooms which helped me feel a bit safer. The bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows. The bathroom was VERY clean and spacious with an awesome shower. Only complaint is the vending machine by rooms/elevator is broken so you need to go out by the casino if you want something to eat or drink.

Ho Chunk Black River Falls, lets start by saying FALLS is the take away of my stay. So to begin I decided to take a short get away and to take a breather and for a 2 1/2 hour drive the distance was good. when pulling up the place looks kept up. After getting parked and walked in we notice a fairly decent entry but no real direction of hotel vs. casino and seems that short staffed. Found the hotel desk and was pleased with the check in. We got a Jr. Suite and when getting into the room it was decent size and looked modern. unfortunately after getting into the room it was definitely not cleaned as one would expect for a higher grade room (though all rooms should be cleaned equally). So decided heck will go down to the casino and try my luck, grab a bite to eat, then go back to the room and relax and catch up on some work. Casino was fine with plenty of slot machines to go around. When it was time for eating, well the buffet is only open on Wednesdays and most food places around the casino are closed on Sunday which left the Black River Bistro inside the casino and we went up to order and got told that about 40% of the items were unavailable to order. Does not make since so we decided to order a BLT and Bacon Cheeseburger with the only option of fries with both. So after waiting 20-25 minutes to get the food we were hungry and ate the sub par food that had no flavor and some under cooked. Also while we were there the staff got tired of working and just closed the bistro. So finally headed back to room my stomach felt upset and did not feel good so hoping to go back to my room to relax I get in and sit on the couch and then non stop jumping, yelling, crying, etc. from the room above us. So figured it would stop after a few minutes I waited and then 30 minutes later it was still going. in this time still feeling ill from the food. I called front desk and got 3 times no one is available... so 4th time I got to talk to Lucas and he apologized and was quick to come up with a solution which was nice. He offered to put us in same type of room on top floor so no noise above us to let us show the head housekeeper the issues in our room which she completely agreed. So moral of this review, if your here for the slots and to get moving it is a good place. If your looking for a place to stay, eat, and play slots BEWARE and would recommend a different location.

Stayed 2 nights using their trail package. Rooms were beautiful and clean, large showers, and helpful employees. Casino was nice and cleaned. I liked the whole facility being smoke free. Only downfall is lack of dining at the casino. Bistro is only thing open the majority of the time. So bring food as rooms.have microwave and fridge. Looking forward to staying again.

First time ever to a casino. It was kind of intimidating at first because we had no idea what to do and where to start. Just stick some. Money in a machine and hit some buttons. Wish we maybe had a welcoming/greater in the front of the house. Also, we noticed a bunch of the deink machines didn't work. There wasn't anything open for food that we had seen. Overall. We had fun. Will like to go back again after I do some research on activities, dining, and gaming options.

Stopped in to grab our yearly gift cards for Christmas to give away to family and friends. We usually spend $1000 per year in gift cards but not anymore due to the rude front desk woman. Asked a simple question of can we purchase gift cards and were immediately snapped at by saying “Yes but you’re going to have to pay cash or check only!” Which was fine we had both but then we just wanted to know the average price this year for rooms and again similar response, “I don’t know!” and refused to look it up.
The whole thing left a bad taste in our mouths and we turned and said well we are done here and walked and will not be returning. We found other places to spend our money this year and I suggest the same to whom ever reads this. The hotel itself needs a complete overhaul in staff and amenities.

New hotel room in tower was nice, appreciate needing room key to access tower and elevator and rooms. Workout room is closed and empty except for some slot machines on the floor, no workout equipment was in room at all and new hotel addition was completed five years ago according to front desk person. There was a small store/snack shop by hotel that was closed empty. There were vending machines with credit card readers, but when attempted, credit card readers did not work. Due to "Covid" there's no housekeeping, which feels like just a way to cut staff and services, if you aren't worried about casino staff working in close contact with masses of people without masks, then having housekeeping come into empty rooms (wearing masks) seems like a fairly low risk activity, so it's really just about which activities will bring in the money and not about worker safety. Casino shuts down at 2am. Check in desk shuts down at midnight, if you reserved a room and don't get there by midnight, I think you're sleeping in your car, no late check in. Not certain if pool was open. Room was okay for a two night stay over Thanksgiving where visiting family is the priority, but next time in BRF we'll stay at a hotel with breakfast and a workout room that offers more amenities at a lower price.

They have made some updates to increase the efficiency of the small space they have. I was surprised that they had as many new games this time I visited. Years ago when I would frequent the casino mostly for bingo. I found the machines to be quite outdated. It's definitely nicer than it used to be

The bands are GREAT but the speakers and/or Acoustics REALLY need improvement. I've seen Multiple bands there with different sound techs, different consoles, but always the same issues (dead spots, phase or standing wave cancellations-vocals sound good in some areas, practically disappear in others, ditto with peaks and nulls in the bass).

It was a little confusing when we first walked in because there are multiple areas and they wanted to know where we wanted to go (and we needed to know what they had to offer - what our choices were). BTW: the basement is the museum area, the main floor has a gift shop (with everything cranberry) and a restaurant (with some food options and ice cream, including cranberry ice cream - which was good and definitely worth trying). It was interesting learning about cranberry production in Wisconsin (definitely learned a few things).

It's all about cranberries: growing, harvesting, distributing, and eating. Lunch is served on the main floor and the Discovery Center is in the lower level. Charles was our private tour guide. He farmed cranberries so he knew the history, the equipment, and all the steps from planting to harvest to distribution. Lunch in the roomy cafe was chicken salad on wild rice cranberry bread, chips, a beverage, and cranberry ice cream. Yum! The Discovery Center also has a gift shop filled with all things cranberry.

My husband grew up stopping here every summer, and I finally got my chance this year. It felt more like a touristy gift shop inside than I was expecting (lots of toys and shot glasses), but the cheese was awesome. Been seeing this wonderful cheese shop outside of Tomah for years on our way to Coloma. Finally decided to check it out and we're AMAZED at everything they have to offer! Many varieties of cheese, some of which have been aged for over 25 years. Seen a well aged Spanish Grand Queso that reminded me of a Parmesano Reggiano. Tasted so delicious we went back for more but, were sold out. Still got some delicious Danish Blue, Morel and Leek (Definitely get the leek but, subtle morel flavor is lost in the sharpness of the cheese. Danish Blue was absolutely phenomenal. One of the best Blues I've ever had. If you love Blue Cheese YOU NEED TO BUY THIS!! Even spotted a Greek Kasseri Cheese. Fantastic ice cream in very different flavors, snacks, souvenirs, sauces, dips (Monterey Jack Queso was excellent. Although it tastes VERY similar to Pace.), and jellies. Will make it a point to swing by whenever we're in town. Was quite impressed with their cheese knowledge too!

Park featuring hiking trails with panoramic views of the Kickapoo River Valley, canoeing & camping.
We enjoyed our visit here. We camped in a cart-in site (110) which was very private and surrounded by trees. Not a lot of good hammock trees, if you’re looking to camp that way. The site was big enough for both a 6 person tent and a 2 person tent without feeling too crowded. We hiked the Mt Pisgah Hemlock Trail which is a steep climb with a nice view. We saw an eagle from the overlook which was cool. This area would be amazing to kayak, so we’ll likely be back for more adventures. This area was also excellent for star gazing!

The hike was very difficult for people who aren’t use to going up and down but the views are pretty good. Not as much birds as I hope to see but it was still a nice state park with multiple trails.

We hiked to the Taylor Hollow Overlook and it was a fairly short hike to an okay view but there’s an amazing rock formation below the overlook! Quick hike through pines, then into woodland forest along ridge, then path switches back at overlook, to head down bluffside to see really cool rock formation. This windworn and spire-like formation has a lot of unique structures and formations, only visible under the cover of the canopy. Must see stuff, be careful on stairs the hill is very steep by them!

First outing with the new travel trailer. The campground is spotless with friendly, knowledgeable rangers and staff. Be aware that the potable water fill station is on a slight hill. Depending upon where your tank sensors are, you may be fooled into thinking your tank is full. I ended up with one third of a tank once leveled on my site. I was close enough to the boathouse for a ranger to come with a longer hose to help fill the tank. The views are breathtaking. Take time to explore the Amish country. Amazing produce, pies, and crafts sold at nearly every farm. Highly recommend Wildcat Mountain State Park!

Nice all around. Good for hiking on long trails. 2 things, bring cash to buy wood. They do not accept card, and some areas of the trails need better signs to indicate where you are in the middle sections. Otherwise, great experience!

Beautiful tent sites along the edge of the mountain. Plenty of distance and screening between the sites. Friendly, helpful staff. This is one of my favorite state parks, because it's small, remote, and on top of a mountain with great views. Also, it's close to several bike trails and paddling on the Kickapoo River with a launch within the park property.

A really nice park that I had not heard of until I decided to give it a try for camping this summer. Very happy with my decision, the campground sits on top of a large hill/bluff with some fabulous views of the surrounding area including the beautiful driftless area farmland. The campsites, bathrooms and others facilities are fine. There is a nice playground my son enjoyed. Very close to Ontario, WI where there are multiple options for renting canoes and kayaks to float the Kickapoo which I recommend you do.

Great drive on Hwy 33 from La Crosse. Amazing views and peaceful. Definitely worth the short trip. The Wisconsin country side on the ridges is just thee best.

Stunning. The drive is one of the best in the state, sport cars, motorcycles and anything. Views are also fantastic. Great camping sites as well.

A close friend of mine recently said that driving to Wildcat Mountain was like traveling backwards in time. Having completed the journey today, I can wholeheartedly agree.
Winding roads, open fields, hillside farms with nothing but a barn and an old barbed wire fence keeping in the cows are the mainstays out here.
The park itself has beautiful trails, plenty of camping, and an absolutely gorgeous view from the observation point. If I had the time to come here every day just to take in the view, I would do it. I'll definitely be back, with my friend.
Truly a beautiful place that you won't forget.
Absolutely beautiful trails and boardwalks. Fun for the whole family. We will definitely come back during the different seasons to take in the sights.
Only sad part was several closed trails due to recent storms downing lots of trees, blocking some paths and roads. In our case the kids loved it more with the "tree forts" to play on.

Update 09/21/23
So much better than the last time! Absolutely perfect day to be here. Hiked for about 2 1/2 hours, and would have stayed longer if I didn't have other places to visit while in the area before losing sunlight (Ship Rock and Rabbit Rock). I will definitely return again in the future (hopefully while the center is open).
This is one of several Wisconsin destinations that everyone should see at least once in their life!
I think we came a week or two early, we didn't see very much wildlife. Still, there were beautiful sounds of nature and it is a nice serene area. The view from the tower was very nice, and we liked seeing the few birds, turtles, squirrels, and chipmunks. We plan to go back sometime when everything is green again. Worth checking out if you're in the area, but wasn't really worth the time for as far as we drove to see it at the time we went.

We loved Necedeah National Wildlife Refuge! The paths are great, well cared for and marked, and their employees are great as well! They shared their knowledge about the trails, including safety and what wildlife we could expect to see. We would love to return!

Headquarters Center is always looking very nice and is interesting. A good variety of things to look at there. Folks at the headquarters were so helpful and informative. Gave me maps for the area and suggestions what looked best now as well as how to get there. Area has been hit by some hard winds and serious drought recently. While tragic in some ways, it has added a layer of beauty of its own. Definitely beautiful.
The blue heron was right behind hq on one of the elevated walk ways. Have seen many different birds, coyote, fox, and even bear prints here before.

Fantastic trails, could spend DAYS there. So many different habitats- home to an incredibly diverse population of wildlife. Trails are very well maintained- whether they’re boardwalks, mowed grass, or gravel. Bonus: the main trail next to the welcome center is handicapped accessible!

Beautiful place. If you are just starting hiking or a seasoned pro, this spot offers you nice trails that are easy to navigate and follow. Would recommend for any nature enthusiast.

Beautiful area, unfortunately there was no notice about the boardwalk being out of commission at the start of the trail.. other than that, it was great. Still have many trails to explore!

It's a nice calm place to visit and explore. The visitor center is wonderful with very nice helpful staff. There are lots of trails to walk and get great photos.

This refuge is just beautiful. Stopped first at the visitor center to get information about the place. The park ranger was very friendly and helpful. We hiked four different trails that were very well maintained. We saw Whooping Cranes, Trumpeter Swans, Sandhill Cranes, Bald Eagles, White Pelicans, Canadian Geese, many Ducks, a Kingfisher, Wild Turkeys, White tailed Deer and many other birds If you enjoy the great outdoors this is your place.

It was great to visit there with the kids for their field trip. Everybody there was very helpful and informative. A great place to take the family. They have a small gift shop located inside not too much to choose from but it's still nice.

So much wildlife to observe! It's great to be out among the wild. Good for a long walk, observation, and education in the visitors' center. Very nice center -- theatre, kids' corner, meeting room, etc. Very enjoyable!
Hotel casino with table games, slots & a nonsmoking poker room, plus a lounge & 3 dining options.
Fantastic staff, wonderful facility! I got the chance to do sound and lights for a show here this past weekend and from the time I walked in the door to the time I packed up and left they were always welcoming and helpful. They truly go above and beyond to make sure you have a great time here. Shout out to Erica and Pepper! They have a wide array of games to choose from as well. And the bar knows how to make a great drink! Definitely worth the trip to nekoosa if you like to gamble or just get away for the weekend!

I easily win the most when I go here. Drinks are pricey. Definitely go here. Hopefully they will get a solid restaurant in there.

The food was pretty good. We had an excellent waiter; he made sure everything was good. I got to be the first to try a drink the bartender was making; was very tasty.
I do wish they had a buffet, which was what we were originally looking for. I am a big fan of seafood, and not to many places offer a good seafood buffet anymore. A casino offering a seafood buffet would be a hit.
Overall, good place to grab a bite to eat.

Nekoosa is my favorite casino of the two I go to.. in Wisconsin. I go with my 92 year old mother-in-law. The downside is, unlike the other casinos, Nekoosa no longer offers free soda and water. You would think as much money as people spend gambling there, Nekoosa would spend the few pennies it cost for a soda from the soda fountains in order to keep customers happy and hydrated. That's one advantage Black River has. Bring back the free drinks Nekoosa..and your seats will be filled more. That's why you get a 3 star.

Average and small. Not bad but nothing special. No tables no sports gambling yet, just a small bar that seems pretty nice but like the rest it’s average. They may do better with a more current social media and more consistent bar specials to get people in. Again, not bad but doesn’t have anything else but slots to offer
Christopher Hovorka — Google review
Very nice well stocked with updated slots, plus a few vintage ones too. I liked the smoke free environment. I thought I saw a separate room that allowed smoking though. The staff were friendly as well. Unfortunately we didn't win this time, but we will be back.

Friendly staff. This casino is where I’ve had the most bigger payouts. Bites at tax day. Make sure you have all taxes taken out immediately. If I’m on a loosing streak, I see others winning. It’s small enough, you can remember which machines you prefer. In huge casinos you can’t find the door you came in, and car lost in parking lot.
Joyce Ellenbecker — Google review
This is a slot-only casino...
The restaurant that was in there before is no longer... Its now just a bar that has some hot sandwiches, pizzas, hotdogs, and chips.. There is a Smoking area outside (around the back of the casino)
The staff are walking around all the time and are very helpful!!
Every machine is sanitzed before/after every use!
First time visitors will recieve a 10$ play bonus on slots with a 1$ purchase!
This was my First time visiting and probably the last (live in MI) but i had a great experience leaving with some extra cash in my pocket!

Fun place to go. I have met some good folks there. Just don't spend more than you can afford to lose.
Bill Martin — Google review
I was hoping to give this place a better review but alas I cannot. They just upgraded their systems and to me that meant tightening the machines. To hit anything out there you'd better be ready to spend the money. I go out once a week for a break and when I do I walk through (when jackpots are hit) to see what people are spending. 9 out of 10 times the person playing is spending $5/spin or more. Now with that kind of money going in you'd think the jackpot would resemble the bet, but they don't. Jackpots (not on weekends) are usually around $1200 - $1600, much smaller then one would expect considering the bet.
BUT my biggest problem with this casino is there is NO COAT CHECK....!!!!!!!! What the he!! is with that...? They removed all of the equipment in the front that was used for coat checking, now there is nothing....!!!! So you go out during the winter and you either leave your jacket in the car, carry it with you or wear it the whole time you are in the casino. WOW ISN'T THAT ENJOYABLE....!!!!! Lets not forget the valet that is no longer there. The light is lite up bright, but no valet. Oh, and let me not forget that the small eatery there closes very early so if your going for supper it had better be by 5 or your out of luck, but the bar is open...!!! What will they take away next...???? I suppose I should be carefull, they might make the change to PAY toilets.....!!

Not as great as it once was. No blackjack or table games, and it became more of a slot game. I still remember going there and car would be pack even on the weekdays because of table games and food service. Drink was free, and the food order was great. The environment was awesome but now you can tell the difference that there is barely any car anymore on weekdays compared to when table games were still alive there. Drinks are not free anymore, and food services are now slot machines. My best suggestion is Writtenberg if you want to enjoy slots with free drinks still or North Star with a table games.

Only electronic games, but it was fun. The slots were loose, and the electronic table games were hitting. We got like $20 of free play just for signing up.

If you're coming here to gamble, good luck, you'll need it! This used to be a great place for a good time, back when they cared about their customers. They DID have a great rewards program but they made it "better " and I lost more than half my rewards, better for them, not you. They turn down the payouts and less people show up, so they cut the payouts again and even less people show up. If this trend continues, they'll have to shut down! The new food vendor does make a good burger.
Update: I went there on Saturday, and the place was almost empty. They just don't get it! I do still come here, just a LOT less, so who's the dumb one?!?!

Great games better than any other casino in Wisconsin plus food was extremely good
What a wonderful place. Everyone there was so friendly and knowledgeable. We took our children (age4,6,&8) there and they loved watching the video of how cheese is made start to finish. They loved being able to see the actual workers making the cheese through the windows. The best part was they allowed us to try the cheese curds we just watched them finish making. My kids were so impressed by the “squeaky” cheese. It was Such a fun experience for the whole family. The woman we spoke to was so knowledgeable, patient and informative. We sampled several varieties and my kids loved all of them. Thank you for a great experience!

This was my first time here. This is a cute space for great cheese. I LOVE all the free samples. The curd is a must. The bread cheese is great. The spicy beer cheese spread is perfection. The black goat truffle is awesome. We got a variety of cheese, spreads, mustards, jellys while we were there. They have merch and other snacks as well. Really happy we stopped!

We brought the family here while visiting the Dell's for Spring Break and it was a wonderful experience. The owner was very accommodating and let us try the freshest squeaky cheese just made right in front of us. A must stop!

This was such a great learning experience! You are able to watch them make cheese, they had the best suggestions on the different kinds of cheese you may like, and their samples are amazing. You're able to buy souvenirs varying from cheese and sausage to candles, shirts, mugs, and more. Come on down, learn about cheese, and support local business!

When I travel through the area I always stop for Fresh cheese Curds and the smoked string Cheese......absolutely Delicious. The folks there are always friendly and the prices are good.
Absolutely wonderful time. When they said they put me on the more spirited horse that was a bit of an understatement. Haha. But, I enjoyed the experience very much. My lady, and her 11 year old daughter had an amazing time as well. The owners were very friendly and hospitable people. The girls fed the horses after the ride, while I went and purchased some souvenirs for them. Thank you, folks at Red Ridge for the enjoyable experience

We visited the ranch some weeks ago, as my 7 year old loves horses. They were fantastic and made her feel so at ease and excited. It was her first riding experience, and it couldn’t have gone better!! Everyone was so kind!
The horses are so beautiful, and a horse had just given birth to a 4 day old foal; which we were able to see! So exciting.
Can’t wait to come back with my kiddos for more fun and horseback riding.
Thank you for the amazing experience!

This Riding Stable was awesome! Me and my sister had such a great time on the trail ride. The horses were great and we had a great guide! The people that run this stable were nice and treated us great! We even had a chance to feed the horses and ponies. We even could bring our own apples and carrots. My dad even enjoyed feeding the horses as well as my niece and nephews, my brother and sister-in-law enjoyed feeding the horses and ponies too! It was such a memorable time. Thank you Red Ridge!😉

Jacob was the hilarious and the best laid back tour guide we have ever had! He made the experience worth the stop on our way through town to the Mayo Clinic for our son to get help with his rare and life threatening disorder! Jacob got our mind off the week ahead full of more doctors and tests and we are glad we stopped by! You must check this ranch out! I promise you won't regret it and you will enjoy your time spent there! Cyndi, the ranch owner and all the workers were very kind and took great care of all their animals there ! You can tell they truly care about there ranch and the people who visit!! We will be back to visit and we live 7 hours south in Indianapolis Indiana. Thanks again for such a great time, Jacob and Cyndi! 💜

We were visiting from Florida and found Red Ridge Ranch and decided to go for a trail ride. We were greeted by the owner. She was super friendly and had a great sense of humor. We went with our family and some never rode before. The horses were super gentle. Our guide was fantastic. She talked to us the entire time. We all had a lot laughs and we had so much fun. It was an incredible experience and we plan on doing it again when we come back. The best part was the trail was a winter wonderland and it was an incredible experience.

I took my 8 and 10 yr old for a ride this am. We loved it!!! The horses all have such different personalities, so they matched us with the right one. Ride was an hour which was nice and not rushed. The staff was really friendly and we even got to brush a horse. All the cats and dogs were so friendly!!
*we returned over the winter for a sleigh ride. We haven’t had any snow, so it was a wagon ride but we had another fantastic time!!! The owners are so friendly and go above and beyond. We got to see the newest litter of kittens, all the dogs, and learn more about the horses. They treat those animals so well!!! We will return again!!

This place is definitely a must if you've thought about a trail ride. Peaceful trip through a wooded path that winds through the trees along a stream. Our group had a mix of riders some with zero experience and some that ride all the time. Our guide was PHENOMENAL with everyone on all levels! I bet this place is absolutely beautiful in the fall with all the leaves changing colors. All of the staff that my family had encounters with were wonderful from the Veteran helping with the forms to the guide. I have seen some reviews about a pond this isn't one the horses drink from as it was in the middle of the woods meaning its not something that they can control. We will definitely be going again and have told people about it already.
