Great place to visit! Even if you're not a history buff, there's so much to see and appreciate. There's historians roaming around if you have any questions. There's A LOT of cool cars too! Highly recommend. It's about $15 per adult. Took just over an hour to experience the museum, however, we did not go outside as it was too cold. I regret not going sooner.

The staff was super friendly, they explained everything to us and had a game for visitors, there was a hidden knom in the museum and if you find it and take a pic you get a price. My kids loved it. The best part is the planes outside and they have an active airport, you can see planes take off and land there.
Mario Hernandez — Google review
This museum was much larger than I expected. I planned to stay for a could hours, but could have spent twice as long here. There are some neat planes, and if you are into vehicles or military stuff, you'd probably love this place. The old commercial airliner whose interior is open was fascinating. A little pricey and out of the way, but cool experience.

My family and I went this past weekend and it was such a fun and interesting museum. My dad was a recreational pilot growing up and I always remember hanging out around Santa Teresa as a kid. Back then the museum was not as nice and I am glad to see it alive again! The staff was super friendly and it was a great spot to have something to do when we visit El Paso! Highly recommend!

Love this place , we attended the LowClass car show here . It was awesome! 400 cars attended and 4000 spectators showed up for the show. They had a lovely gift shop, they had food trucks and they had a lot of vendors which was awesome so follow her page on Facebook and Instagram for events that are coming soon and more car shows if you like to see a car show the museum there’s so many airplanes of different kinds there. We had an awesome time!
UndyingPanda Begay — Google review
Had a great visit there with my Wife and 5 year old son. Highly recommended.
The only thing that was a bit shocking was the price!
I have a brochure for their that looks fairly current and it stated 11 dollars for Adults and children were free.
Well it cost us nearly 50 dollars!
I didn't complain because I don't mind seeing it as a donation, but needless to say when you expect to pay 22 dollars and pay 50 it was quite shocking!
Also their website shows no admission price.

This is a big museum. It has many planes an aviation thing you get to see. They also have a lot of old gas pumps so you could see how they were back in the day. They have a gift shop so you can buy things for yourself or others. They have a timeline for important events throughout the US history and wars. They also have a dedicated wall for important women in those times.

If you love aircraft and old cars you will love this museum. Gus was my unofficial tour guide and his knowledge is awesome.
Scott Hildebrand — Google review
The museum is great with plenty of planes, cars, and history. The staff is wonderful. My son and I explored the museum during a Flights and Sights event.

Incredible museum with amazing aircraft such as a Fieseler Storch and many other airplanes. The side displays are also amazing. Nice gift shop also.
Stylianos Sideris — Google review
This museum is filled to the max with historically significant artifacts. It's an awesome experience to see these planes, vehicles, and accessories up close. Many of them have safety stairs that allow an inside look at the cockpit and its instruments - an amazing experience. The museum itself is impressive in its size and cleanliness. The hangar is bright and open, although a bit warm. There's no dirt nor dust on the floor nor on any of the equipment. Cleanest museum I've ever been in. As good or better than the Smithsonian air and space on the mall or at Dulles. It's only missing a spaceship, lol.
Rick Anderson — Google review
Very cool Air Museum, surprised by how many planes, cars, and helicopters fit into the space. Love runway attached to the museum to watch private planes take off.
Ryan Price — Google review
I arrived at noon on a Sunday. The location is easy to find, with a Love's nearby for lunch, a snack, or fuel. I received a military discount when entering. Staff is very friendly and informative, and I was given a map. The hangar provides space for a military band to practice, so there was some music on the far side of the hangar. The hangar is not air conditioned, but there are ceiling fans moving the air, so it was cooler than outside. Consider the weather/temperature forecast when planning a visit.
You may encounter a volunteer, so feel free to ask questions if you have any. They are very knowledgeable and have plenty of flight experience outside of the museum. We were invited to tour a passenger aircraft simply for showing interest in it. There are some aircraft outdoors along with related military equipment and vehicles. Overall, it was a great experience worth repeating the next time I am in town.
Bob ThatGuy — Google review
I never expected so much quality and quantity of beautifully restored aircraft in this out of the way place. I restored antique planes for a good portion of my life (generally much older than WWII warbirds) and can appreciate the dedication and fine work done here as well as the rarity of some of these planes. I personally wanted to drool all over the beautiful black P-38. If I wasn't retired it would be an amazing place to work. They also have an excellent gift shop. Go there. You won't regret it.
Colorful, contemporary outlet mall with a kids’ playground & splash pad & a food court.
We love going around at this Outlet even if we are just going to walk around or have a few snacks
Adriana Salazar-C — Google review
These outlets were a bit different from others. The food court has a bar with draft beer and mixed drinks. Many shops you don't see else where. Got a good deal on shoes and some jeans. Overall it was a good shopping experience. I bought things I didn't need but were at a reasonable price.
Jose Gutierrez — Google review
The outlet mall shops in Canutillo, Tx are nice.
Stoped by at Michael Kors to buy a wallet and ended up very pleased with my purchase. I like that you can be outdoors as well as in. Live music on occasions. The churros are good.
Only bummer is it took lots of business from Sunland Park Mall.
L M — Google review
the atmosphere at this place is incredibly relaxing, creating the perfect ambiance, the work they do is truly beautiful, and i'm already looking forward to my next visit. What's more, they offer a complimentary drink to enhance the experience. Their manicure and pedicure menu is extensive, ensuring there's something for everyone. Additionally, their loyalty points program adds even more value to the overall experience

Standard outdoor mall. Several empty storefronts. I made a mid-morning weekday visit that included lunch in the food court. It was nice, clean, and safe.

Outlet shopping centers are typically large retail complexes that offer discounted prices on branded products, ranging from clothing, footwear, electronics, and home goods. Outlet stores are a popular destination for bargain hunters who are looking to save money on their favorite brands. El Paso Outlet is likely a shopping center in El Paso, Texas, that offers a variety of outlet stores.
If you are planning to write a review about El Paso Outlet or any other outlet shopping center, here are some tips to help you:
Begin by describing the overall experience you had at the outlet. Did you find the stores you were looking for? Were the prices reasonable? Was the shopping center clean and well-maintained?
Provide some details about the stores you visited. Did you find what you were looking for? Did the store have a good selection of products? Were the employees helpful and knowledgeable?
Comment on the prices and discounts. Did you feel like you got a good deal on your purchases? Were there any particularly good deals or sales going on?
Talk about any other aspects that stood out to you. Did you find the layout of the shopping center easy to navigate? Was there plenty of parking? Did you find any other amenities, such as food or restrooms, to be satisfactory?
Finally, provide a summary of your overall experience. Would you recommend this outlet to others? Would you visit again in the future?
Remember to be honest, specific, and objective in your review. Avoid using overly emotional or inflammatory language, and provide as much detail as possible to help others make an informed decision.

A great place to get your shopping on! Amazing outlet prices and every now and then there are community events!
Jules Ames — Google review
I have been coming to Establishment when it opened up a while back ago. The prices are decent for designer brands. You need to come pretty frequently here to get some good deals because they're constantly changing the racks because this establishment is for discontinuing items, and once they're gone, they're gone. I pretty much go to Adidas, Under Armor, and Nike. That's where I concentrate most of my time when I come down here. To this day, I have never paid MSRP. I have received up 50 to 70 percent off MSRP, and it changes week by week or monthly or holiday seasons.
Good luck
Miguel Lopez — Google review
I shopped till I dropped. So many stores and not enough time. I recommend downloading the directory on their website and you'll be fine.. Parking is okay and you will have more than enough food in the food court. Everyone was so nice to me and I felt so welcomed and safe. There are so many good deals but you have to look. They also had micheladas!!
Diana — Google review
This is a place when you literally pay the same price as in the stores! Juts In holidays they have good deals! They could improve some stores! But In General you Can get deals if you search a lot! Many people there and a lot of stores! 4 starts is aprópiate for a normal outlets go and visit to have a shopping day!

Outside of the West Texas city of El Paso just West on I-10 going towards Las Cruces NM. You will find this nice outlet mall with lots of name brands such as Old Navy, Nike, Michael Kors, Coach just to name a few. A nice food selection as well. There are outside speakers and often there are live mariachis playing traditional music on or around special days such as mother's day, Mexican independence day September 16. Like most businesses this one decorates for the holidays. We were there around Christmas and found an extra large Christmas tree, a nativity scene, a large Christmas decoration sphere.
René Cabrera — Google review
What can i say, i hate shopping. I loathe shopping...but this place has plenty to distract even the biggest shopping hater like me. The food court is where its at if theyd only turn on the AC a bit. The wife loves the store selection.
Reynaldo Armendarez Jr — Google review
Excellent store variety, good prices, You can find all kind-of brands,, also count with food court. At food court the tables were dirty , on other words carry your wipes to clean the tables .
Beside that everything is great.

They're super nice. Stopped as they were closing (I didn't know their hours). They let my wife and I inside to use restrooms. Their gas prices are reasonable, and they have a big selection of collectibles, knickknacks, blankets, fireworks, etc. Definitely worth stopping by.

Update: we just stopped in here again on Monday September 13th and had a wonderful time! Very, very friendly people! I recommend everybody to stop here. This is one of the best stores I've ever been to. It's not just a gas station, it's a lot more!
CHAD — Google review
Update! They have raised the price of cookies by 100%. Now it cost a dollar per cookie. I’m never going in that place again. You can get cheaper cookies in San Francisco and at least you get a view of the bridge. Shame on you guys for raising the price by 100%.🤮
Do you want gas? Keep going to Deming or Las Cruces to save $.60 to almost a dollar per gallon. Do you want junk? Go in there and buy some fake Native American stuff made in China. Do you want jewelry? You can get it almost anywhere else cheaper. This place is set up for the impulse buy. The people there try to do a good job but they’re usually understaffed. The only reason to stop here is because they have fresh baked cookies hot out of the oven but they are not homemade. Because they’re fresh though makes them better than say, chips a hoy?

My family and I always stop at Bowlin's Akela Flats when we're traveling through. I love the homemade fudge. The kids love the weird souvenirs. There's always gorgeous jewelry and interesting bumper stickers there. Can't beat the gas prices. Only down side is the bathrooms. Those are kinda scary. But if you avoid those, the place is a hoot.

Fun souvenir store. Bowlin's stores look similar inside, but they all are well stocked, with interesting items (lots of fireworks) and light snacks/food.
Beautiful area and at the plaza, theres a vibrant music playing, people selling jewerly and stuff and friendly as well...what a lovely day when i was there.. town has some restaurants to eat too, there are olso shop to check for souvenirs and of cors the beautiful church there.. hope i can stay longer😊

Such a great spot to hang out. The atmosphere is fantastic and there are tons of shops around the plaza to visit. Also appreciate the shade and benches to sit while taking a break, especially in this heat.

We spent a couple of hours here on a Sunday morning before everything started. Church service was in progress and they had loud speaking broadcasting the service into the plaza where people can participate outdoor. Walked around the plaza filled with history. Wish we had more time to enjoy a meal at one of those restaurants there.

We were traveling and visited the farmers / flea market on a Sunday morning in mid February.
Vendors still setting up hour after opening. Low season? The big impact was churchie choir loud enough I couldn't have a conversation with a vendor. Parking is tough.

Nice historical area where you can learn about the history of the southwest and how New Mexico became part of the US. The plaza is part of a Historic District and is a national historic landmark. It's a nice spot to sit and relax. Billy the Kid was put on trial and sentenced to hang at the old County Courthouse which is now the corner gift shop.
The Historic District is filled with tourist shops that includes a book store, chocolate shop, pecan store, and other specialty shops. There are many restaurants and a couple of wineries. Love the quaint architecture of the area. The Basilica of San Albino is across from the plaza and has been on existence since 1851.

Great spot to spend a day out by just walking around this historic plaza, it has different types of stores, restaurants, cafes, sweets, tea, gift shops, bookstore, gallery.... U may be able to find some really nice and unique items.
Phoenix — Google review
Had some time to spend so I went to Old Mesilla. I got some tea at the tea shop and went to confession and mass at the old church. I highly recommend both.
I visited the parish bookstore and found they have a grotto in back with a statue of Mary, and they are installing a colundarium next to the grotto.
The area is pleasent to walk around with plenty of shops and restaurants. Across the main road is a place that sells dried 🌶 among other things. I didn't stop there today and don't remember the name, unfortunately. But the red chilli sauce we made from their chillies turned out very well. The building looks like it's out of the old west complete with dirt floors.
Gary Samaniego — Google review
The Mesilla Plaza is always open, beautiful, and charming. We were there for the Christmas Tree lighting. The visitor benches were out and filling with happy families. One of the local businesses was serving cookies and hot chocolate.
Lou Ellen Kay — Google review
Cool historical spot with some cute shops. There is local music and events as well on occasion. Pretty for some quick photos and visit.
The New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum showcases the agricultural history of the state through interactive exhibits that offer an immersive experience. Livestock enclosures on the working farm present a variety of cattle breeds, horses, donkeys, sheep and goats adding to the charm of this museum. The cowboys looking after them may not share much information but make for an interesting addition.
Great as always- Celebrated a "museum birthday" this past wknd...👍👍👍🥳🎂🎂🎉

Super cute little farm to visit to see the animals and experience the history! Reasonably priced as well for the entry! I went for the gem show they had and it was a lot of fun!

Totally awesome! Before you can walk in the door there's two beautiful horned owls in the rafters and then it just gets better after that. It far exceeded my expectations. Totally recommend a place to go to.

Beautiful campus and museum. The facility was clean and quiet—no wait time at all. They offer discounted entry for Active Military. Exhibits are interactive and offer descriptions and timelines. There’s an activity corner for kids, includes books and a small but fun play structure…my boys loved driving the tractor and handling the chicken eggs! The animals were not visibly out and about during our visit, but it was hot outside. Instead we watched the blacksmith show how to make an iron hook, and he let my middle son keep the hook as a souvenir for being very vocal during his presentation. Blacksmith was very friendly and informative during the presentation, we highly recommend giving him ten minutes of your time.

Lovely (free w/ admission) open air tour on a comfortable 8 passenger electric cart. Bob is SO knowledgeable and was full of anecdotes and jokes.
Exhibits change all the time and once back inside, we strolled through the "Ranches to Rockets" exhibit which was in it's last week. And then admired the display of hummingbird photography in the hall near the meeting rooms.
Great gift shop, welcoming staff!

Very impressive musuem with lots to see and do. For only 7 dollars i felt like they could charge more for the experiences and sights you get to see. Friendly staff and super clean facilities inside and outside. Loved it here and you wont be disapointed if you come .
Leon Buff — Google review
It was a quaint museum. There was no one there. I’d expected to see something interesting for kids, but the whole place was devoid of people and workers. There were no hands on exhibits except for checkers and the farm equipment was mostly a parking lot. The indoor play area was interesting.
I expected a lot more about how life was lived on a ranch, but it was more about biographies and items recent enough to be seen outside a museum if you have family which are country. What you see in the photos is really all there is to see.

Amazing museum …. Dan provided a great tour of the property … immaculately designed, set up and cared for space … very interesting animals, history and look into NM ranch life. Highly recommend Thanks!

We loved it! So affordable and such a darling place! We loved seeing all the animals, walking around the museum areas, the dairy area, shopping at the mercantile and playing on the kids areas. Really family friendly here and we would come back. We spent 5 hours and my kids could have stayed longer but we stayed till closing time 🤣. We would recommend! My twins are 4 years old for reference.

My husband and I go every chance we can just to walk the grounds and see the new events and things at the museum. Great place to take the family. Haven't met a person we didn't like yet! Most times we don't have to pay to walk around and look at things. We visit the farm animals, look at the antique farm equipment and pay a visit to the blacksmith. Other times we pay $5 to enter a special event. Not bad at all! The last event we attended there was $5 a carload. It was the 2018 Home Grown a New Mexico Food Show & Gift Market. LOVED it!
Gloria Leslie — Google review
An interesting place to visit. It seems to concentrate mostly on the immediate areas farm and ranch land history. I was surprised and intrigued to see a lot of information regarding the white sands missile range and it’s influence on the local area. There were also displays showing early Native American farming and building practices. Apparently there are a lot of outside displays also, but we felt the middle of the day was not a good time to explore those.
It was sometimes a little difficult to find information regarding some of the displays, so if you’re interested, keep looking, information is there, just not always right by the display.

Simply amazing a must see needs more marketing
BUT
The staff was less than friendly. The two people behind the counter to pay in the lobby seemed to ignore as both delt with someone together while others waited without acknowledgement.
The lady in the gift section was on the phone with clearly a friend talking about recent event and never spoke.

I love this market. The Green Munchkin has the best dog treats and microgreens. They even have microgreen dog treats. Great prices. The mushroom ladies and honey vendors are a must during your visit also. My husband really likes the steaks from the fresh beef vendor. Good atmosphere and a perfect way to spend your Saturday morning.

It is the largest market I have visited. There is an excellent variety of vendors—lots of talent in the streets with an opportunity to enjoy the live array of music. I also found a couple of shops around the area with great handmade items. It's a great way to spend a Saturday morning.

Again, this is one of those situations where it is a great place to be...just not for me, so let's forget about me and onward.
I love the farmers and crafts market not only for the interesting artwork and original crafts displayed but the downtown plaza is a fun place to be.
How can I describe the various types and styles of the arts and crafts present at the market? From the traditional jewelry (90% handcrafted and of high quality), to clothing (with funny logos to fit the region), to organically grown produce. My favorite is the organic honey stand, amongst others. By far the best feature for me is the fact that the destitute can buy the produce with food stamps (SNAP). Come visit the farmers market and relax and try to ignore my fire and brimstone rants lol.

We visited on a Saturday morning and it is a very large, clean, and organized market. Unfortunately, we were hoping for more of the Farmer's side of it and there were very few tables that were selling fruits and vegetables. We will return as there are many tables we did enjoy. Another great aspect of the market is the brick-and-mortar stores along the markets path were open and a great addition to the visit.

We're in town from Oshkosh, WI visiting family who suggested we check out the Farmers Market as we're art and craft fans as well as the food one finds at a Farmers Market.
Started at Organ Mountain Outfitters, that is a great store whose profits are partially shared feeding children and more. I love shopping local but it's always more enjoyable when the business shares it wealth locally as well.
There was so much to see and do. I very much enjoyed the local musicians sharing their talents. There was a guitarist playing a sort of bluesy tune and a young man singing a beautiful Mexican melody in full dress. I'm sure he was singing about a lost love or 🤷♀️. It was lovely.
Ate a breakfast burrito from Cocina Mexicana Express at the recommendation of a family member. Truly the BEST food truck food ever. If you haven't waited in his line for anything on his menu you're missing out. I will warn you, the portions are not small. I'm thinking about going again next weekend just to have this one more time before leaving town.
Found a lot of great artisans sharing jewelry, clothing, paintings, the best and most affordable wax melts from Smelly Sam's (I think that's their name). They had scents I've never smelled before and I've been using a wax melting pot for years.
It's the perfect size Market, not too big you don't enjoy and just enough to have something for everyone.

The Dripping Springs Natural Area offers well-maintained hiking trails that wind through striking rock formations and scrubland, leading past historic 1800s resort buildings and a spring enclosed by granite walls. This family-friendly destination features numerous benches along the route for rest breaks under shady trees. The informative visitor center is staffed by thorough rangers and clean facilities are available. While there is a $5 parking fee, visitors can expect a crowded scene on weekends.
Great family friendly hike. Trails are well maintained, there are multiple spots along the way to take a rest on a bench under a tree. Or group had ages 3-40 and they all enjoyed the hike. Visitor center was informative, rangers were very thorough with their information, and the restrooms were clean. There is a 5 parking fee and it can get busy in a weekend.
We just went to dripping springs, next time we’ll do the path to the sanatorium.

Beautiful hike with great views, and interesting destinations. The first part of the hike is pretty easy gravel road with a sturdy incline, no shade. Once you get to the end there is plenty of shade and picnic tables, and plenty to explore. Big parking lot, visitor center with maps and very nice ranger ( know the condition on the hike and status of the spring), bathroom and water. Fee is 5 $ or if you have National Park pass free.

still a great place to take a hike or run as a trail. The road is gravel and has a light to moderate incline, hiking shoes or tennis shoes with small grips on bottom are good. The trail is about 1 1/2 to 2 miles to the spring. There was a small amount of water coming out as there has not been a lot of rain or snow on the mountain. But some of the most beautiful scenery and relaxing area to go to. There are also small benches along the way to stop and rest. Great history stories along the way as well, they also have a great map that you place a pin into in order to show where you are from. Definitely a place to visit.

Nice hike for a half day trip. The paths are easy to follow and wide. The old buildings are very neat! There are bathrooms off the trail. We got to see a bunch of deer.

Perfect hike for family of four! We drove up from Ft Bliss and took our 2.5 year old and 12 month old. There is an incline on the way up to Dripping Springs but you’re on a gravel trail the entire time until right at the spring/mountain camp area. My husband pushed our double jogging stroller all the way up. Gotta be ready for a workout if you bring the stroller and definitely need’s to be a jogging stroller with the bike wheels. It’s doable but pack would be much easier (assuming your kids like packs…mine don’t so stroller is emotionally easier on me 🤣). Beautiful views and not very busy. No waterfall this time but was told it’s due to a severe drought. Still so worth it.

Park fee is $5 per vehicle but free for Military Gold Star Members. Staff is friendly and welcoming.
There is no parking fee if you will not utilize the trail. Just let the staff at visitor center know.
Restrooms are very clean and available near the visitor center.
Dripping Springs is 1.5 miles uphill. The Cave is 0.9 miles one-way - Easy trail. The cave is nothing special but I would definitely recommend you to explore the other trails.
The trails are steep so be careful coming back down. Please bring winter coat or hoodie because the weather can get pretty chilled very soon in later part of the day.
You will definitely have good time.

Beautiful area with visitors' center. RV parking for the center. Be aware there is a $5 fee for driving up to that area and stopping (or use your annual pass). Cueva picnic area. This is a great place for photos, especially in rain and snow! Great in sunshine, too. Closed at sunset. I have seen the gate closed on some holidays as well but I don't know the actual policy about closures.

Easy hike, beautiful landscape. Golden grasses with tall looming mountains as the back drop. The dripping springs are just that, if you are expecting a waterfall you will be disappointed. The place where the water drips is still quite nice quiet, secluded and giving a break from the wind. The rest of the experience is truly beautiful. Be sure to check out the cave near the picnic area.

I really love and enjoyed the beauty of nature wen we came in this area. So amazing ,beautiful views of nature. You can do you’re trail in La Cueva for 1 and half miles back &port. Overlooking area you can see the down side of Las Cruces. Do next time we will come again bcoz were running out of time.. i will do another trail again in the side of the mountain. I saw a mule deer near wen we are living the La Cueva. I saw a beautiful barrel cactus with a flowers in both different colors. I saw many birds too…The humming birds is really cute❤️💕🥰

Dripping Springs is a great place for a walk. The trails are wide and the gravel is smooth on the first part of the Cueva Mine Trail and would be good for those who need easier terrain. The visitors center is lovely and there are hummingbird feeders outside where you can sit and watch nature do its thing. The volunteers are friendly and knowledgeable.
Note: if you’re disabled you can get the National Parks All Access Pass at this location.

The forest service people working went above and beyond to explain the trails that were dog friendly. Huge ups for being able to get me out there hiking! Make sure to bring cash. No cards accepted. Even saw about 4 javelina. They weren't shy.

This was a very fun and scenic trail : ) We saw some gorgeous deer walking parallel to us near the top, and the historic buildings were so cool to look at! There are benches throughout that allow you to slow down and take in the sights and the path itself isn't that hard to walk. It was a very great experience and I'd love to go again someday.

Very interesting. Stop by and support them. There's a lot to learn there. Not to mention a view to gaze upon and enjoy. If hiking, please be prepared and be aware of your surroundings. Snakes and other animals that live out there don't want to be disturbed. Be careful obey all warning ⚠️ signs.

Wow! This place did not disappoint! And only for $5/ vehicle. Staff is friendly.
Use the restroom near the visitors' center before because they only have an outhouse farther in the park. The hand dryer was freezing cold, but at least they have soap and running water.
Dripping Springs is the most popular trail. The trail to the springs is about 1.5 miles going uphill. There is an outhouse restroom once you get there. When you get to the Boyd Sanatoriom, you can climb keep climbing up to a cliff then you can go even farther past the pool then climb up big boulders and keep climbing til you get up another cliff. That's as far as you can safely go. Be careful coming back down. It can get slippery because of the steepness. We spent about 3 hours exploring. We have children 7 and 10. They were wiped and hungry afterward. Bring snacks and plenty of water. Oh yeah, and bring some coats because it may get hot going up to the springs, but once you climb higher, it gets cold and 7 because you are in the shade.

This is a National Monument. I did not know! Therefore, a visitor center, super helpful volunteers, big parking lot, clean bathroom. Cave trail was super cool. We were there end of! He day, lovely. Do not leave after sunset!! They will Ticket you!! The other trail up into the hills was super cool. Easy gravel path. We saw an oryx, very cool big animal! This trail was perfect weather in December, but I can imagine summer is awful...

This place is cool! Great views, pretty hike, no hook ups and lots are not all level. We have a 26ft motorhome and found one pull through lot. Only one way roads so find a spot and take it. Only 35 min to White sands. No dump station that I saw. Water avail at the gate... Bring a long hose. Will come back when we pass through. Thanks!!

Great campground! Nice hikes and good view of the mountains! Make sure to bring your own water and firewood.
My main concern is that the gate closes at 6pm no exceptions. (They even have road spikes to prove it).
If all you plan on doing is hiking or a few day things then I totally recommend it.
If you plan on being out past dawn or think you might get back after 6 maybe find some place more flexible.

What a beautiful affordable campground! There are more sites then the first loop if you fallow down the road a bit more. Water is down at the park entrance only. Clean pit toilets. Beautiful views! Closest camp ground to white sands.

Nice little campground tucked away in the mountain. Last mile and a half drive to and from campground is one way, paved. Water at the beginning where the camphost is so make sure you fill up before heading up to campground. Covered picnic tables and clean bathrooms. No showers. For $7/night you can't beat the views. Half price for military, seniors, etc. Quiet at night and rangers very friendly.

Great little campground. Most sites are small. With our truck and trailer camper total length about 42 feet. No problems navigating around or getting to the campground. It is narrow the last bit, just take your time.

Not for big rigs, trust me. What a lovely little campground on the mountain side. So quiet. Road in is long and curvy and hilly and fun. We hiked the pine tree trail, even found snow at the highest point! In December. Not many peeps there, so that was 🙂

A beautiful campground and hiking area quite close to the city. Outhouses and group pavillion. The camping spots have fire rings with grills, and upright bbq grills as well. It's very beautiful there, but not quiet due to the campers' behavior. The quiet hours are not really obeyed, which is a shame. It costs $5 to stop in the camping loop area, and the camp hosts or forest service will check up that you've paid. It's a breathtaking area.

Love love LOVED this place!!! What an awesome camping spot! Very well-kept, clean, convenient, quiet, and gorgeous views! All that for only $7! Hands down the best place I have camped at! And the bathrooms were spotless and did not smell at all! If you are in the area and need a place to crash, this is the place!

Awesome campground. Make sure to have plenty of water for drinking and washing dishes or yourself. The closest water is by the entrance, which is like about 10 min away with all of the windy road. 30 miles to the great white sand dunes and 25 min to Walmart. Only outhouse - No showers. Campsites are very well maintained, and few have shades for tent camping. Wind was blowing hard in early April. Beautiful scenery!
keon Kim — Google review
I mean what can I say... you have to experience it yourself. Vault toilets, no electric or water (water upon arrival at camphost). This campground was silent, beautiful and just one of a kind. It is a long, winding road in and a long winding road out. Gates close at 8 pm in the summer but I think this is a good thing, you want this place to stay protected. Spot 14 was sooo private, with your own little private hiking trails and rocks. The wind can be very intense so becareful and secure your items 😃. Las Cruces is about 25 mins away and then White Sands NP is about 30 miles in the opposite direction. This place was amazing and I couldn't recommend enough.

Love this campground! We stayed in our 22' airstream for about a week.
Dec. 23- Jan. 1, no hookups, but there is water at the hosts' home at the entrance (at least 4 miles from any campsite), make sure to fill up as you come in and have a lengthy hose, as your vehicle won't be able to get super close to the spigot.
The road to the campsites is windy and long, but we had zero issues with our camper and even saw a 30' pull in (unfortunately they couldn't find a big enough spot in the end). Gorgeous views from beginning to end!
We got in just as the sun was going down the first night, found the first spot that would fit us and woke up the next morning to scout out a better spot. I highly suggest taking just a car and doing a round to see all the spots, it is a one-way the whole time through the campsites so if you see one you like, remember the number! You'll see quite a few spots closer to bathrooms and trails at first, but if you keep going you'll find more (I think they go up to 55 or something) that offer much more solitude, just not the best spots for anything larger than 15', but hey! You never know, check 'em out yourself :)
We camped around the holidays and it got pretty busy, however everyone seems to be very curtious and keep to themselves for the most part. Also, lots of people wearing masks which is great, even having them on them on hikes in the area! Which, make sure to check out some of the trails, there should be a good variety.
Almost all of the campsites have a covered picnic table, trash cans near by, and bathrooms near the first part of the campsite, so there really is no excuse for not picking up after yourself, in fact, if you can, leave it better than you found it!
Brilliant museum covering the history of the US missile programs as well as the history of this region of the country. Any military enthusiasts will really enjoy this experience. Kids also enjoy looking at the missiles but they might not enjoy the indoor museum as much

Here at WSMR for work so I stopped in to walk around. Museum and V2 exhibit are closed but the missiles, rockets, planes and launchers are cool to see.
Rich Basher — Google review
This post relates to the security rather than the museum ( I have been there before and it is great). To get to the museum, you must go through the Security Centre, which had a 25 minute line up; Although the museum stated it was open (through a text conversation minutes earlier, and I also asked a family that was leaving the site) the security office refused us entry due to the museum “being closed”: Conflicting information between the two. The security office had one person that was helpful and apologetic for the conflicting information, while the other was just plain rude. If you have time to deal with such issues, I would recommend, but be prepared to be turned away, seemingly at the whim of the security office. I would like to reiterate that the museum itself is worth the visit and this regards the security aspect only.

Enjoyed seeing all the outside missiles, there was a lot of history to see. The inside museum was closed today at 2, would have enjoyed seeing that. Had a great visit.

Excellent displays in a confusing arrangement. Good historical information a bit on natives and old wars, a lot on nuclear weapons.
On arrival we were informed we couldn't drive up, so no vehicle info needed!
Don't believe Google directing you to a southern gate. Use only the LA Cruces gate off hwy 70!
The museum door said closed but several folks were going in and out.
All very disorganized!
Luminous Views — Google review
If you are not military assigned to base or civilian working on base, you will only get to see the museum and the mountains. You will also have to go through a background check to get a pass to do that. You must have a TSA valid ID. If you have wants and warrants out for your arrest, I wouldn't take the chance. They are serious about security. The museum is awesome. They have all kinds of rockets and rocket launchers. Fun history trip.

Very expansive indoor museum as well as a paved outdoor museum with information at each stop. Must register at the gate, but it is open to the public.
Jana West — Google review
Park just before the gate and present your driver’s license, social security number along with a picture to get approval to go to the missile park. It is located to the left which you must access by a walkway. The museum is closed, but an array of missiles are located just behind. A note of caution: Photos can only be taken at the park and under no circumstances can you take pics of the staffers.
David Hesterly — Google review
Very interesting stop. You must check in with the office, show your drivers license and have a photo taken. Then you are permitted to walk through the gates following the sidewalk to the museum which is indoors. There is also a viewing area outside with all sorts of missiles and planes to look at. The reason for 4 stars is ALL of the bathrooms were out of order!

Great free museum! The missile park outside was epic and informative. The museum has lots of information and a good variety of displays. Not much hands on for kids, but our six year old was still engaged the entire time we were here. You have to stop and get a quick background check, so bring IDs for all adults.

What a wonderful place to watch for everyone
I strongly recommend all science students must watch this
For US CITIZENS need your id and SSN
If you need to drive up to the museum take your vehicle registration and insurance with you
For NON CITIZENS take your valid passport and visa the process will take around 10 minutes
In both cases they will print your admission ticket including your photo on it
Non citizens needs to walk up to the museum less than five minutes
Take water with you
One thing I noticed was lack of parking 🅿️ space
But this is a must watch place
It’s free of cost

Super cute place and they have some interactive areas for children. Sidenote: I went into the bathroom and touched my sweater and there was a bee stuck to it that I didn’t see And it stung me in my hand. Only slightly off the beaten path, we stumbled on it while driving north, and decided to check it out. It is a worthwhile stop for an hour or two, as it is lightly visited yet really gives you a sense for what it was like to be in the military in a faraway post during that time in history (not fun, lonely and often painfully boring, with few comforts). A hat tip to Buffalo Soldiers, regiments of which also served here . Interesting exhibit of artifacts inside as well. Interesting fact awaits about a young Douglas MacArthur.

Stayed here in late September when there was no water in the river. Stayed at site 14 which has a beautiful view but is the furthest from the showers. It was very well kept and the campground host was very kind. I took my dog with me and did have the issue of stickers and burs getting stuck to his paws and fur. Otherwise a great camping experience, peaceful and quiet.

Nice quiet park for camping - until it's not. Spent about a week there in an rv, and all but 1 night were quiet. Then a huge crowd of people descended upon us, all staying in a single campsite, making noise all night long. I found it disappointing that they've done a lot of work to clean this park up and keep it up, only to have allowed the same thing to happen again.
Would I go back? Probably, but not during tent camping season.
Bonus: All rv sites have concrete pads!

Really neat place. Extremely remote down some pretty rough roads, and the park trails are quite deteriorated as well. I was able to find some interesting stones in the road along the way, though. I definitely recommend a 4x4 if it's wet. There are some pretty big holes.
NOTE: If you head to Cooke's spring house (the gazebo looking structure), BEWARE OF RATTLESNAKES! It was literally being guarded by one on the concrete pad by the signs, and he wasn't going to move.

If you enjoy reading about the Indian Wars a visit to Fort Cummings is worth the trip, if just to better understand the terrain challenges faced by the 9th Cavalry during the Vicotorio War. I was able to get to the site in a Ford Escape rental car and if you are comfortable on dirt roads and take your time most vehicles should not have an issue. There are a few spots where the road is rutted or rocky but careful driving will get you through.
As others have pointed out follow the signs and not your GPS. Almost exactly 1 mile after turning off State Route 26 onto County Road A019 you will pass through a cattle guard (32.428614, -107.587472), turn left and follow the trail due west along the fence line. It is about 4 miles to the Cemetery and 4.5 miles to the ruins of the Fort. According to GAIA GPS you are on either BLM or State Trust land except for the Butterfield Stage area that is on Flying U Ranch Land.
M.E. Mihok — Google review
A few wall ruins and a marker are all that remain. Militarily, not the best location. Mountains on 3 sides, easy for Native Americans to watch all the activities at the Fort.
Jim Ledy — Google review
Do not follow Google maps, it takes you to a private ranch. Take hwy26 to county road A019, at the second cattle guard, there is a wood sign on the left to the fort. This road is very rocky, only go if you have high clearance four-wheel drive. Gaia GPS shows the unmarked road.

What an amazing and historic place! I just wish that a) there was more information posted about it and b) that the government hadnt decided in its infinite wisdom to let this structure go to ruin.

Most interesting once you find it! Do not follow google maps,it will take you to the ranch but not the fort. There is a hand pained arrow. Follow that left road. Do not try to go there unless you have a high clearance vehicle. The road is not maintained and is rutted and lots of larger rocks. Some good signage but not a lot of remains. The cemetery is almost non existent. The Springhouse is intact. The road is so rugged that you need to plan on taking lunch as the drive in and out will take some time. We did enjoy reliving the history and the beautiful area.
Iona Duvall — Google review
Vet rough road. Would not try without 4 wheel drive. Google maps led us to Hyatt Ranch. Not the way to go. Off of Hwy 24, take A019, there's a sign by the second cattle guard . That's the turn.

Friendliest of people, I ONLY do my Hatch Chile business with these fine people since 1999/2000 when I would buy Chile from the wonderful grandmother that lived there. I remember one day I asked her how to prepare the dried chipotle peppers. She went into her home and brought out a bowl of salsa that she had made along with some chips for me to try. Her passion and love for Chile overflows in her son that owns and operates the store today. I highly recommend them!

UPDATE ON 9/8/21: I just re-visited the same store again with the same friendly, hard working owners. Please support the store and buy some of their great products. They had an unfortunate fire in the interior part of their store a few years ago and are still recovering. They also lost their pet bird in that fire, who I had "met" years ago. They're operating out of the exterior part of the store. Give them some special love.// I found this place on Hall Street and the store folks were so friendly. The chillies and spices are so reasonable and fresh. Get yourself down there and buy some. Makes great gifts too.

Pro reminder from my husband who is a long time chile gardener: Chiles have a goodly amount of natural variation in spiciness. Growers/roasters can’t guarantee heat levels, it’s how it goes with a plant product. They supply chiles that usually have a specific heat level. Key word: usually. So don’t roast the roasters if the spice level ain’t on point. They do their best.

I purchased 40 lbs of Chile. I expedited the shipping paying the extra cost because it was going to PA. I mixed up the address’ and sent it to Albuquerque. It should have only taken at the most 2 days. It took at least 4. When I got the Chile most of it was rotten. Goodness knows how it would have arrived in PA. It’s the first time and last time I order from this business and I won’t be recommending anyone either. Only a refund on 10 lbs. The stems of the Chile were soggy. 🤢

This is technically a park, but it's more of a place of somber contemplation than raucous good times. There's not much shade here, and it tends to be windy.
There's no playground and only a few picnic tables. There's a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and an old ambulance on site. There's also a much smaller-than-real-life replica of the Statue of Liberty.
There's a museum in the park too, dedicated to the military. I've never been in the museum.
This is where you come to think about wars and the people who fought them.

This is a wonderful memorial for all our past and present veterans. The stories all the collections tell of the service members and their families are unforgettable and most can't be replicated. The time, effort, and donations given are amazing. Thank you for all you do.

I am a veteran with a veteran license plate and I got to the park at 7am. I cleaned up my car, took care of my dog, and then got accused of camping in the park overnight.
The staff is not friendly, especially towards veterans.

This is one of the best Veterans Memorial's in the country. From the air, it looks like its layed out like the Medal of Honor.
Beautiful miniature Vietnam memorial wall. Inside has a large, well preserved and documented collection of memorabilia from various era's.

Adult-only lodging offering free Wi-Fi, parking & hot-springs access, plus a sauna & a coffee bar.
Calm and clean. Easy parking and easy to find. We did the private soak. Everyone was super sweet but after you check in you’re left alone. All the other guests were very respect of their volume. We felt like the only ones there! Super clean, and they have everything you need if you forget something at really reasonable rent prices. We brought pillows for the lounge chairs and next time I’ll bring a plastic water bottle because I had to work to make sure my metal one didn’t make noise.
The wildlife on the Rio is even so amazing! Can’t recommend enough.

The pools were beautiful, natural, and sparkling clean. The temperatures varied in each pool and there was also a cold shower. Calm music was playing and beautiful plants and sunshine surrounded us. There were comfortable places to sit and lounge in both the shade or sun. They offered free tea as well and all of the guests were quiet and respectful. I appreciated everything about this restoring experience and we will be returning. One of my most positive and enjoyable hot springs experience for sure!

If you are trying to relax in hot springs and get away for a bit this is the perfect place! Riberbend is just beautiful, the rooms were perfect and clean, the pools were very nice and hot and the view of the river and Mountains its stunning. I been in a few hot spring and this one its so nice and relaxing. Staff was so helpful and the privet pools were really nice as well. Make sure you book in advance since this rooms fill up quickly.

Everyone was extremely friendly and the place is very clean and beautiful! Many different pools and different temperatures so you can find the one you enjoy. Bonus is cool water shower stations so you can cool off and continue in the mineral water experience comfortably. We did not stay there overnight so I can't comment on the rooms, but we are going back again for another experience. Highly recommend!!!

Only went for a 1 hr soak. Very relaxing experience. The people next door were really noisy, so I did report it, and they quickly came to let them know to keep it down. Keep in mind that there are a lot of signs that say it is a quiet zone and only whisper beyond a certain point. It is a place to relax in the quiet, not play around, lol

We absolutely loved our stay! We had never been, so were not sure what to expect, but it was amazing.
The front desk employees were extremely nice and helpful. The room was so clean., as was the whole property. We loved the outside kitchen with hot tea options all day. The quietness really gave us a chance to quiet our minds and meditate. A few people would start to get loud, and we loved that the employees occasionally walked by and would remind people to keep it down.
I am especially grateful for the price. I can not express how appreciative my husband and I were about the price. We have four boys and life is expensive, but to be able to go somewhere like this and not break the bank, it’s just amazing!! In just the few hours from our departure, we have already began to recommend to all our family and friends.
Thank you Riverbend Hot Springs from the bottom of our hearts,

We love to travel via hot springs and our stay at Riverbend was outstanding. It's clear they are committed to having clean well maintained pools and environment. With an outdoor kitchen with high quality amenities to seating areas, hammocks, shade, a sauna and more. The pools were great and even though there was a steady stream of people it was never crowded. We camped with a camp trailer and all the hookups were clean and functioned perfectly. We'll be back for sure.

Finally was able to get a reservation for a trip in January! This place is always booked and it's easy to see why. Their staff is knowledgeable, highly trained in great customer service and the place itself is spotless.
Had a private soak as well as a spot in the public pools and both experiences were their own wonderful thing. Soaking while under the stars, a full moon, and owls flying overhead was magical. Luckily, I was able to leave right before their rush - 7pm on a Friday night. So many people coming in as I left, so be warned, if you want a quieter experience, ask them about their non-peak hours. :)

What a wonderful experience!!!
Check in was really easy, Cinda was very helpful and informative!
The room was awesome- we stayed in one of the king suites and it was beautiful. Great kitchen space, comfortable bed and cozy bathroom!!
The baths were beyond anything I could have asked for- loved the tranquil music playing throughout. The hammock in the main pool was my favorite. Spent a few hours lounging in the submerged hammock to the point I fell asleep several times.
Minnow was the highlight of the trip, making sure we were enjoying ourselves and setting an example of how to take it slow and relax!

We love this place and can't wait to come back. Right on the river, it's beautiful and serene. The atmosphere is super chill and the tubs are fantastic. The whole place is beautifully landscaped and a little piece of paradise in T or C. The group hang out area is very accomodating with sinks, microwave and grill and is a lovely place to enjoy some food and drink. Staff were friendly and helpful. Resident kitty, Minnow adds to the charm. My only suggestion is to add a hairdryer to each room.

So relaxing! Clean and inviting. Great atmosphere. Absolutely love the outside kitchen area with a gas grill! The view at night, with the soft lighting around the pools and lights reflecting on the trees across the river is wonderful. Helpful staff.

This was my first time here. It was nice to have a secluded private place to relax. The water was very warm, so I could only sit in it for about 8 to 10 minutes at a time. It had a nice view of the river and the cost was not too expensive. I'd recommend every give it a try sometime if you're looking for something new to try.

Our idea of paradise! My wife and I just finished a wonderful 3 night stay in one of the Courtyard Suites, and reached the relaxation levels we’d hoped for. The happy Zen vibe is everywhere, the music, the lights, the meticulous ornamentation, etc. Wonderful staff, we’ve stayed on other occasions, and never been disappointed. We already are planning our next visit.

Great experience, we stayed in one of their RV spots and were able to get a spot without reservations. My wife and I went for a soak the evening we arrived then again the next morning. Cool thing about staying there is that you can soak as long as the community pools are open. The place is amazing, overlooking the river and we watched a full moon rise over the mountains while soaking, just fabulous. The staff was great and the other guests are so diverse and interesting. We met some cool folks while soaking. If you like hot springs, you should check them out. They also have private tubs that my wife and I have enjoyed on other visits.

Great experience! The historic courtyard rooms have modern features but retain the old time charm. And there are larger rentals and rv spaces to accommodate all options. The surroundings have lovely murals and paintings of desert wildlife and wildflowers. The pools are nicely spaced and you can look out at the river and watch great blue herons, egrets and ospreys travel up and down the river as the sun goes down. Wonderful.

What’s not to love! We had an amazing stay at this resort. The hot springs location is a perfect balance of natural environment and comfortable amenities. We appreciated being able to bring our small dog along. It was a highlight of our road trip to witness the total solar eclipse. We hope to make the journey back to this great spot on the Rio Grande.

Enjoyed our stay here. Probably the nicest place in town. Single queen bedroom was small, yet clean and comfortable. The staff was courteous and competent. The main attraction is definitely the hot springs pools and patio area (which includes a dry sauna and outdoor bar). Nighttime soaks were the best with the extraordinary lighting and landscaping, although daytime views of the river and surrounding mountains is a close second. Priced a little on the high side, but worth it.

Great experience! The location is so beautifully decorated with local art. The atmosphere is very serene and calming, exactly what you'd want when you're relaxing in the hot springs. My bf and I rented a private pool and it was wonderful. Made our time there special and intimate. Place was very clean and quiet. Definitely going back!

This is the most relaxing place ever! I am so grateful for the opportunity to visit such a magical place. The attention to detail is so beautiful; you can feel the love put into creating this sanctuary. One really feels relaxed and rejuvenated after having spent some time here. It literally refuels the batteries of body mind and spirit. I feel like a brand new person after visiting here! We have already booked our next visit to keep our energy fresh!

My boyfriend and I stayed here September of 2022 for two nights. As cat lovers, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the hot springs has a beautiful resident cat, Minnow, which they've even dedicated one of the pools to. Waking up to Minnow outside our front door every morning just made the place better. Overall, we loved our stay. Not many people at all and the hot springs pools are right down by the river. They were so relaxing and the hammocks in the last pool were nice too. Everyone was very respectful and the staff were very helpful. The rooms are very nice for the price and the full kitchen was especially great. We'd definitely recommend this place if you're visiting and we'd definitely come back should we find ourselves in the area.

Very fun little treat. With a view of the Rio Grande and the mountains you can't beat it. They keep it fresh and clean. The 50 minutes is perfect. They even have showers and a bathroom at the ready. Came for the Chili Challenge 4x4 event and end with a hot bath and a cold brew up the street. Can't ask for much more.

We used the private pools:
This was an amazing stop in T-or-C. We really enjoyed our time. The water was nice and hot, the mist option and water bucket were used and absolutely loved. The view was absolutely beautiful. Staff was understanding about rescheduling and were very pleasant over the phone. The pricing was great too!
Thank you.

We booked a private Hot Springs soaking tub room for the PM for New Years Eve. The online reservation was easy. It was really enjoyable and relaxing with the crisp air outside. The temperature of the water was perfect as was the lighting and low music. Was the perfect way to end a day of adventure and 2023. Information about parking was a little confusing as it gave a Lot #10 which when I came to the window to inquire the girl said you just park anywhere. Overall Great Experience

We are regulars to the spa, as it has been the only one who offers scenic views, good pricing, and clean areas, but above all… how relaxing it was to be here and spend hours away from our hectic lives.
This last time we went, our perception did change and we’re not sure that it’s worth driving hours for a spa that does not enforce a whisper policy anymore. To us this was probably the most important. We sent a complaint through text to try to be more discrete about people literally carrying conversations so loud, turning the spa into nothing else more than just a public pool. Additionally, we got asked two times to take pictures of others. It was everything but relaxing, and when we finally took our thoughts to the front desk, for one, she never responded, and secondly when I went to the front desk, she was quite rude about it.
The employee told me that it’s not enforced to be whispering anymore, and if I had a problem with it, to get a private soak instead.
I truly hope our concerns make a difference being that we have been coming back to this place for years and recommending it to many others. It never fell short of our expectations until this last time.

This place has a specific issue(for me, not everyone) that will not have me coming back here. They take being quiet very seriously. Within 30 minutes of being there, my group of 6 got asked to be quiet and we were doing nothing more than talking. It happened again the next day but they told every single pool to be quiet. Look, we are all there to relax. But they are over the top about it and it really ruined our friend vacation that we couldn't even talk to each other for the weekend. If you want a silent getaway, this is for you. If you want to talk to people in your group, I would pick another place to go.

One of my all time favorite places to stay. The town that surrounds this little gem, is very artistically focused and quaint. The resort is the perfect place to let the stress of the world wash away! Me and my boyfriend loved the different baths available, especially since I like to boil like a lobster and he likes to be comfortably warm. We were able to completely relax and just be. The environment is quiet with relaxing music playing, you can hear the wind blow and the views are unforgettable!
We opted to stay here on our road trip and it was an experience like no other! We are hooked. I can’t wait to return!

Absolutely stunning. We booked the hour long private soak and had the most relaxing time. The private tub was clean, with chairs and hooks for your items. The water was crystal clear and hot, and the view of the Rio Grande was spectacular with mountains towering beyond. An absolute must. They rent towels and robes if needed. We stopped spontaneously on our road trip and I’m glad we did.

Geronimo Springs Museum, located in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, is a must-visit venue for those interested in the area's rich history. The museum showcases a diverse collection of artifacts including fossils, arrowheads, and items from the Apache culture. Visitors can explore a recreated miner's cabin and learn about New Mexico's early mining industry. The museum also features an impressive display of Southwestern pottery dating back to 200 A.D.
Take your time and enjoy the History. Very nice displays and enjoyed the beautiful florescent rock room.

I came here to look for a book in the gift shop. I found the book I wanted, and another one.
The gift shop is in front of the museum, so you can shop without paying the admission fee.
There are lots of books and locally made items in the gift shop. I also picked up a few free postcards there. The postcards advertise the museum. The free postcards are nice, sturdy, with interesting photos.
I came to this museum years ago to look at the exhibits. I remember there was a lot of stuff packed into this museum.

What an amazing curation of history! The cost was $5/person and we spent a good hour and a half wandering through the museum, and could have easily doubled that time with the amount of items to look at and stories to read through. For a small town the collection, largely pieced together and donated by the community, is very impressive.
I also really enjoyed the gentlemen working at the front counter. His whole demeanor was such a great energy to experience and we enjoyed a nice conversation with him before we left.

If you are in T or C you have to go to this museum!! Has so much history from the conquista and Oñate coming to new mexico. To why the name of this little town. Has bones from a mammoth and rock from all over new mexico. Book that talk abou the treasures of Francisco Villa and the Spaniards as well. Very cool experience. A lot of this stuff was donated by locals and has a little piece of their hearts. Stop by and support the locals.

The state's largest park features camping & hiking, plus a huge lake with marinas & sandy beaches.
Really great campground. Sites are very spread out, well maintained with a grill / firepit, and a covered picnic table on a concrete slab. Sites are very flat and mostly level. Extremely clean facilities with flush toilets and nice hot showers. There are many other vault toilets found throughout campground. Electric hook up site with water was $14.00 plus $4.00 online booking fee for "reservation sites" (which was all of them). You can SEE other campers due to the low desert vegetation, but otherwise don't hear them. views of the water and mountains are great. Also saw some interesting quail, lizards and a bunny rabbit!

We had a great time hanging out and staying the night on the beach. Pulled up close enough to the water, built a small fire (this was in March) ate good and relaxed. Very reasonable entry fee. Easy to drive through the sand and find a spot. (We were there on a Tues) Great little getaway.

A huge campground for 50 spots, off the beaten path. The camping sites are huge. There are many pull through sites. The town of Truth or Consequences is a short drive away. Fishing and boating are here. Didn’t get to do that. This place is very, very quiet. Nice bathhouse with showers. Cute little nature trail.

Awesome lake to fish at. There's a marina that has a shop with very friendly workers. You can also rent a slip there to park your boat for the night instead of having to launch it every day that you're there. We stayed at the RV Park and I have no complaints. We had our RV and a truck towing our boat so you will have to pay for the extra car when entering the park. Elephant Butte is only about 2 hours from El Paso so it's very convenient and a very fun way to spend your weekend.

For a five dollar entry fee you can spend the day at one of the most beautiful places in New Mexico. It's a bit rustic, latrines mostly if not completely, but you can camp right on the beach which is so amazing. The water is clean, very warm, and perfect for swimming. We went about 8 days total during our 20 days in New Mexico.

This place is wonderful and other worldly all at the same time!! Things to know, the dump station and showers are in the desert cove loop, the other comfort station is closed for the season. This place is soo quiet and clear at night and the ability to drive right up to the water is always cool. Nice people, nice beach, nice playground. If you're around, eat lunch by the water. It's so calming!
Note, that's not the spot we were in, that's the spot directly across from the playground.

Don't know why it's called South when it's actually on the North side of the state park, but what a nice campground! Sites are spacious and well spaced apart and very clean. Review is for campground only.
The good: Most sites seemed pretty level; each site has a picnic table, shelter, and fire pit. Nice views of the lake and an easy walk or drive to the waters' edge A mix of pit toilets and shower house and flush toilets across the various campgrounds within the park. Adequate dumpsters available. The park seems clean and well kept. Budget friendly, especially for NM State Park Camping Pass holders.
The not so good: Can't think of anything. It was a very nice place that's on our regular route.

We spent a beautiful afternoon at the lake. It's our favorite place to go, and we look forward to camping soon. Elephant Butte holds a special place for us, but highly recommend to all. Kids can play in the sand and water. Our dogs love it too - swam and fetched the whole afternoon.
Great place to bring a camper or tent and sleep under the stars. No better evening than around a campfire! This trip, we made one for the afternoon as it was a little cool - we cooked hotdogs and made smores.
Once it's a bit warmer, we'll be out on a boat, and kids will swim all day! Be sure to wear your sunscreen and practice safety when in water! Guaranteed for a good time.

Don't miss this trip down history lane. Great as a stand- alone visit, but stopped here on the way to Bosque del Apache. Lots of info provided by placards throughout and by over the top helpful visitor center and park host Mark, whose Mother, it turns out, was instrumental in getting the Fort established as a landmark. Great place to visit especially if you visited the wildlife refuge nearby as well. We did both in a day. The man who manages this site was very informative. There isn't as much to see as there is at Fort Union, but it's still an experience in itself. They have stamps here for your NPS passport! A great chance to get a rare one! The final 5 miles to the site are on a dirt road so be prepared for that!

This is private property. However, it is easy to get permits to do rockhounding here. Please visit Otero's Rock Shop in Magdalena where they sell daily access permits which are a good value for the possible great mineral finds and you have the hours to properly look for specimens The guidebooks suggest contacting Tony but the current information (May 2021) I have says this not possible. Otero supposedly is part of the extended family and should be able to get you access but don't count on it until you have talked to him or Tony's family.

Start at the converted train depot library/museum in Magdalena. It'll fill you in on the history and eventual abandonment of Kelly. Look through the clippings displayed as a book. There's map in there and lot of fascinating history.
As a place to explore, Kelly was fascinating. While most of the town is gone, key pieces of equipment remain., especially if you follow the trail to the top. Incredible views of the green valley and the lush greenery pepper the old heavily rutted trail to the highest mine. The cemetary next to the old church is not in good shape but fascinating reminder of these people's lives. A brief comment note on another reviews mention of the ghost town in Brody, Ca. Brody is literally one in a million with entire households still intact. On a scale of "razed rubble with random cans" as a 1 and Brody as a 10, Kelly would sit very comfortably at solid 7. 8 If you're able to do the full hike.
Kelly is frequently overlooked in the tourist droves that flood New Mexico. This was fascinating, beautiful place.

Beautiful surrounding mountains and views with a lot of hiking opportunities and a smell town just to the west! Do your research before you and learn about the Kelly’s before you actually go there makes the experience even better!

Very cool place to check out! There's lots of forest roads around the town but most just turn into dead ends because of private property. If you like to hike though I'd say it's definitely worth coming out here and camping out.

One of the few local old mines that they don't seem to mind you wander around. Some metal and brick structures.

The local points of interest sign in Magdalena gave some decent information about the 'ghost town' Kelly and its history. And there was even a nice road sign that directs you 3.5 miles from the main road in Magdalena. So we gave it a go... Big mistake!
The last half of the way you'll drive a gravel road only to encounter a church building and a normal house - both far away from being ghostly...
We parked there and walked some minutes to find the 'ghost town'... And we didn't find it! The one thing we could find was an abandoned mining tower, lots of rubble (seemed to be buildings once) and some really ugly concrete walls (also far away from being ghostly).
That's it. That's all. No historic markers, signs, explanation or whatsoever.
It really felt like being just on an abandoned industry spot. No 'historic feeling', no immersion in history, no resemblance of the people who lived (or better: worked) here.
Especially if you have seen *real* ghost towns (like Bodie) this one here will leave you very much disappointed.
Don't go there! Even the locals admit, that there is 'not much to see'... This 'ghost town' is truly ridiculous.

If you're into history and abandoned places, it's a cool place to go. We enjoyed walking around and imagining what the town might have been like years ago. There's rumble and ruins, foundations/stone walls. There's not much info out there which is too bad. Even the tourist info center in Socorro didn't have anything. I wouldn't describe it as a ghost town, abandoned mine is what it is. I wouldn't make this a specific trip, (we went to the VLA that day as well.) But like I said, if you're into abandoned places you should check it out.

Not much to see except for two remaining walls of an old building.. There is a church that looks like it has been maintained. And you will find a sign that says the current population is now two people. The most interesting thing is the mine shaft that is visible in the distance. If you are passing by and aren't in a hurry it is worth a quick visit.
Best experience horseback riding!! Beautiful scenery!! My family and I enjoyed every minute. Jill took tons of pictures for us to remember the experience. Dakota has a wealth of New Mexico history to share! Fantastic.
Alison Larson — Google review
By far the best horseback riding adventure my wife and I experienced! The views were amazing and the horses were unbelievable. Our guides, Dakodah and Jill, husband and wife went above and beyond! My poor horse, Storm, was an amazing 25 and took me, a larger man along for two hours like I wasn’t there! We galloped almost right out of the gate, up and down hills and through the Rio Grande!
They will take you as fast or slow as you want to go! By far the best we have ever been on and hope to make it back!

Jill and her husband gave us the ride of a lifetime! Riding in big open spaces, during sunset, with the most gorgeous views, and going fast! Their horses were so wonderful and well trained, very responsive and eager. Thank you for the experience, and we hope to be back very soon!

Amazing ride! Jill was a fantastic guide and shared a lot of history and stories along the ride. The trails and views are beautiful. This is by far the best trail ride I have ever been on and I would absolutely recommend them! I hope to return someday! Thank you!!!

Highlight of our trip to the states.
My brother and I were looking to get out and experience riding horses western style and ARA exceeded our expectations. Horses are very well trained and we ran most of the time we were out. 10/10 would recommend, will definitely be visiting again when we are back in New Mexico

My husband and I had the best ride of our lives here! I cannot say enough good things about this ranch. The owners are awesome and are able to accommodate any riding experience—an experienced rider like my husband, a newbie like me, and even children with special needs. The picturesque scenery along the ride was breathtaking. Riding through the Rio Grande on a hot day was nice and refreshing. The horses are extremely well-trained. If you’re new to the area, ask the owner for recommendations- he has great taste in restaurants & hot springs! Overall, this was a wonderful experience that we will never forget.

I absolutely loved my sunset ride, it was just Jill and I. I learned so much from her. She is a great teacher. I rode Rumor and he was fantastic. We got to see some wild mustangs. I needed to work on being able to trust horses I have never ridden before and this ride will definitely help you with that. Its steep rocky terrain so you have to trust them. I got to trot and canter and there were even a few jumps. This really boosted my confidence as a rider. This is not your usual everyday trail ride, there are no other trail rides that can compare with this one. Its in a class of its own. So unique.

What an amazing experience! Out of all the guided rides I’ve done, this one has been my favorite by far. It was totally worth the 3 hour drive. We had so much fun, we’re actually looking to come back again with more friends soon. The guides were so much fun as well and very personable! I enjoyed every minute of it!

Amazing place lost in time. Only a 2-300 acre site but due to its remoteness it’s vast in its overall perspective. Steeped in history going initially 400 years back to the actual mission but the people settling the land in that area go back another 500 years. Worth a slow walk through and wonder back. Enjoy.

Nice place to visit; short and nice walk, clean, with nice paths. The signs are informative, and the person who greeted us was very nice. The ruins were interesting and beautiful. I am glad we could bring our dogs as long as they were leashed and we cleaned up after them 😊

Such a great stop on a road trip. The Ranger, Alex, was the most knowledgeable and pleasant person you could hope to meet. The stories of the area he shared and exploring the Ruins were so exciting. Great picnic area and clean flushing bathrooms. And the rolling hills, some red rock, spotted with bush is so delightful. Great way to spend a couple of hours. Keep in mind that our national and state parks are slowly disappearing because of budget cuts so I try to help by making a purchase from the gift shops whenever I can. ❤️

Free! Nice little walk around the ruins. Covered benches to have lunch and bathrooms. Check out the other ruins just 25 minutes away as well!
Clean and quiet campgrounds with nice picnic tables and nice firepits. We had a great time.

This park is very quiet, forested, and serene. Someone other than a camper must have laid out the plans for sites as it was impossible for me to back into my space going the direction of the one-way road. Since no one was coming along the road, I went the wrong way to the site and had no problem backing the 5th wheel in. It's a pleasant place and we love it.
Dennis Prichard — Google review
Would have given it a 5, but there's no water hookup. In fact, the water faucet in front of the ranger station is double padlocked! Came in Tuesday afternoon and there were no official personnel anywhere. Also, I had to drive the wrong way to get the angle needed to back in my 5th wheel. Otherwise it is a good campground that's taken care of.

Can’t ask for a better, clean and quiet place in the mountain that close to ABQ with about 7/8 electric sites (#6 and 7 are the best). The drinking water spigots are also around the campsite with couple of easy to moderate hiking trails.
T-Mobile cell service works great here and they even provide a dump station on your way out where majority of NM state parks don’t have, our first visit here but definitely will come back
Kien Phan — Google review
Nice State Park, smaller than many adds to the quiet serenity. Water problems with the various spigots low pressure and slow flowing. The water pressure would not even push water through our filters. The staff not particularly outgoing and visible. Electric at many sites but water has to be added to your rig upon arrival or you’ll have to fill water jugs and carry to fill up. No sewer service except at the dump station. Office rarely open. Good hiking trails and we enjoyed them. Terrific internet and Verizon connectivity. Second time here and we had a nice relaxing visit. Office was closed but trails were open. Everything is well maintained and welcoming. Bring bug repellent as their were lots of flies and a small gnat that would bite at the sock line.

We camped in space #4 for 5 days. This spot is dry but has an amazing view. We saw black squirrels with silver tails and wild turkeys from the campsite in addition to many bird species. I hiked the outer loop trail and saw two deer within a half mile of our campsite. The park was very clean and the camp host was very friendly and helpful.
Dwight Raulerson — Google review
Very quiet which is a relief. Peaceful place as very few campers present. Irony is the more positive feedback a place gets the more it attracts attention and use and the More it is degraded by that use. “Man always kills the thing he loves” and we love wild places to death repeatedly. The fastest way to destroy a place it to make it popular.

I loved learning about the history of the Harvey house. Its beautiful decorated old fashioned from the times it was once being used as a restaurant with Harvery women and workers by the railroad. Now during the holidays its beautifully decorated with Christmas trees and lights like no other place on New Mexico. It's fun for adults and children to see!

How do I count the many reasons to Stop here! YOU MUST! Between the wonderful Museum and the very delicious Whistle Stop Cafe (now open), its a wonderful place to spend your afternoon. The Museum displays history of the Harvey Girls and more. Come check out the rooms that the girls slept in. Taste decadent berry cobbler! and the decor is just so cute in the cafe. Come early for the cafe then stay to check out the museum. A great way to spend your afternoon!

Nice museum. We have been to a few Harvey Houses, but most were "repurposed" so having a full museum was nice. The displays and exhibits were well done
Staff was friendly and informative.
They only serve lunch in the cafe on weekends, but the fresh baked cinnamon buns and cakes on weekdays are well worth stopping in for. We don't drink coffee, but their special blend smelled great and almost tempted me to try a sample.
Definitely worth the drive from Abq.

We enjoyed our stay and the amazing tour. This is certainly a must-stop when visiting Albuquerque and the surrounding area. Our small group learnt a lot about the Fred Harvey history and the strict prinicples of this business. Our tour guide (sorry, I don't remember her name) was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She did a great job, thanks!

I stopped in to the Harvey House Museum on Saturday just before the opening time. Francis came out to where I was sitting and asked me if I would like to come into the museum, "yes of course." The roof access to stand under the 'livecam' was cool but what surprised me was the quality and care that goes into this local museum. I was treated like a VIP from arrival to departure. Great experience.
Loved the hike up to the top of Tome Hill. The view is amazing. The walk is a bit of a task. Lose rocks and steep areas but it's definitely worth it.

Easy to get to. Nice hike. Took me and my 4 year old son 20 min to get to the top. Pretty steep and rugged in a few spots. Took pictures of about 50 petroglyphs on the East slope of the hill. They look a lot like the petroglyphs in ABQ. Nice view

This hill is a beautiful, rustic, historic and religious place. The top of the hill has sweeping views of the Rio Grande Valley to the west and the Manzano Mountains to the east. It is an inspiring experience to pray and sing at 3 crosses at the top of the hill. There is no admission or parking fee. The trail is rocky and steep in places. There is no bathroom on site. The Dollar Tree store on NM State Highway 47 which 1.4 miles to west of Tome Hill, has a customer restroom and sells bottles of water.

Hill used for religious pilmigrages. The hill has three crosses as in the calvary. There are great views from the top of the hill. The climb up from the parking area takes about 30 minutes for someone with bad knees.

The Isleta Resort & Casino is an upscale hotel with contemporary rooms and suites, a casino, pools and a spa. It is located near Albuquerque International Sunport and has shuttle service to the airport.
This was my first time ever in a casino & it was hands down a great experience. The hospitality from the wonderful staff, even the variety of food choices & cleanliness.... It was great all-around. 10 out of 10. & Would highly recommend to all my family & friends that enjoy the casinos. Will definitely be returning in the near future. Thank you Isleta for providing a safe, & comfortable environment. Keep up the good work.

I stayed here overnight a couple of times . Room service was fantastic not to mention the breakfast food. The room was clean and also very roomy not cramped and narrow like other casino hotels. I liked their pastry bakery in the casino, its to die for red velvet cake yum. They also have diabetic selections my wife loved. The gambling is always good here , at least for me it was. Some of the staff are very professional, some don't care at all. Oh I reduced 1 star because my last room had a view of a roof and Mesa but not a big deal they discounted because they oversold other rooms.
If you get a room here get one that faces west you will not regret it at sunset . Oh, and one more thing bring your own bottle wine while your watching the New Mexico sunset , because you can't bring bar drinks to your room. And last but not least your chances of winning here are much better than most casinos around Albuquerque. Good luck ladies and gentlemen.

The front desk might be spiffy in uniform, but the service from them is so sad. Such a beautiful Kinda small casino. The venue rooms are decent. Overall, it is not a great view from any of the rooms. Housekeeping was amazing. It made up for the rude attitude at check-in. I drove 6 hours straight to get there. I was tired and so happy to be there...

Overall a fine place to stay but there's nothing super special to talk about. Sheets are rough on the bed. Housekeeping was chitchatting amongst themselves multiple times and VERY loudly ..we asked them twice to take their conversation elsewhere.
Rooms are big and clean. Breakfast was good downstairs. This location isn't really near anything. Everyone is very friendly.

Nice setup and displays of local artworks are appealing, drawing you into a variety of little boutiques. The spa is quaint and peaceful, and the different cuisines offered will please everyone you have in your party. Overall, I would say 4.8, as the main restaurants are not open as late as the food court and the casino is hard to leave a winner.

One of my favorite casinos. Lots of slots and table games. Great variety of food. I usually come home a winner from this casino. The architecture of this building is amazing. Machines are wiped down after every use. Smoking section out side with heat or shade. It's next door to a bowling alley and a few gas stations. Baked goods are sold along the roads. This casino has a few bars to drink at and complimentary sides and coffee.

Delicious, we are still talking about the quality of our food & service!! I had prime rib, chop house mashed potatoes (Yum) & veggies were cooked to perfection! Hubby had steak & shrimp, he added the mac & cheese & said it was the best he's had (& he is a Mac n cheese expert)! We did think it was odd that you couldn't drink in the casino while gaming!? Having only stayed one night, I am by no means the authority on this hotel.
I thought it was great. The rooms were really neat with high ceilings and nice big bathroom.
Had an amazing shower. Perfect temp and pressure.
Everything worked. One thing I thought was super cool was under the door number outside the room there are lights to relay if you are to be disturbed or not.
The staff was great, check in took a little while computer glitch. Overall, nice hotel, great room, slept like a baby. Comfy beds

Nice pool. Had a handful of places to choose from for dinner, but only one place to sit and order from a table. The rest were fast food options in a cafeteria line(s). We wanted to sit down and order food and drinks. We went to Embers upstairs. Quoted 45 minutes without a reservation. The wait only took about 15 minutes. The food was decent and a pretty decent price for a casino. Entrees and appetizers were good. We had calamari and prime rib. The sides left a lot to be desired, but we got full quickly, so we didn't finish them. The mashed potato I'm told wasn't good. I had the backed potato and veggies. The baled potato tasted overcooked and or old. The veggies were decent.
Our room was the worst part about our stay. We got back from dinner at about 930pm, and the room was suddenly super toasty. It was a decent temp when we left for dinner at about 8. So we adjusted the thermostat and laid down. It was set at 75. I figured it would take a bit to cool down, so we tried to get comfortable. We woke up several times trying to get it to cool down. Turned the fan to on instead of auto. It best it cooled down to 72. Our 4 year old was out, so we didn't want to call maintenance in for fear he would wake up and not go back to sleep. We had to get up early for his class trip.

Clean. As in pristine. The drawers that you don't use when traveling, spotless. Although I've noticed some damages on the wall- bar hooks or probably handle bars falling off the wall, a clean hotel always tops that. The walls are thick enough so you'd be sleeping peacefully. Spacious rooms. Staff are very welcoming. Thank you to Theresa at the front desk for being so informative and helpful, I really appreciate you! I'll be back to stay longer.

Wasn’t very impressed for a resort casino. Seems like it’s going down hill. The “fine dinning restaurant” is by the lobby and on the website looks to have been at the top of the casino with a beautiful view of the city. Definitely not a fine dinning experience, when you have people in sweats and a t-shirt. Food was good with large portions and service was decent.
The rooms where another negative starting with the main door to your room has a inch gap of space so good luck getting any sleep when you hear people down the hallway, the bathroom was pretty pitiful and I didn’t even take a shower since there was hair and the caulking was starting to come from the wall and the shower head had missing pieces and the most awful noise when you turn on the shower.
Anyway I give this a 3 star since I made the most out of my husbands birthday with good food and service at the middle bar of the casino. Wish the fine dinning restaurant was actually fine dinning and was back at the top of the casino.
Thanks

Stayed here for a conference i was attending. Rooms, hotel, and service was amazing. Pool was closed for renovations but it looks like is going to be an amazing one once done. The food service was a total disappointment, being the hotel is south of the airport and away from majority of the restaurants. The place has 3 fast food joints and a main restaurant. 2 of the 3 fast foods and the restaurant were closed for Monday and Tuesday with about 150 conference attendees plus guests. Oh well, we all managed through. Staff was super nice and got to go play their golf course which was a fun experience! Definitely would come back and stay here in the future.

. I've never had the pleasure of staying in one of the casino rooms. The food is great, and the service is pretty good and some of the employees there are pretty friendly can't say they all are but most of them are. The beverage area is always clean nice and tidy. But as far as the machines I feel they're a little bit tight there still sucking in more money than they are giving back they got to pay for the remodel somehow. LOL all-in-all as better casino is a very nice place it's clean.

I gave rooms a 3 star because I have never stayed at the hotel. But they seem very nice. The casino part however is pretty good. The choice in slots is pretty expanded. It's not a bad place to blow some money. They do free gifts for a few months out of the year so that's pretty cool.

Service was great staff was very attentive and willing to help when ever you asked them. Location is easy to get to and has a beautiful golf course across the street. Rooms were good well kept and clean. I love the casino plenty of machines and tables to play. Love the pool. Only problem I had was the smell. I think they went from smoking to non smoking and they used a deodorizer that I'm really familiar with and hate the smell of. The art and native culture is amazing.

Came for a nice steak dinner at embers and left happy. Did go for a walk around the inside of the casino with the family so they could see what it looked like. If you've been in one casino you've been in the mall, but I will say this one was pretty clean. The new smoke-free environment is nice and they were hopping quite a bit this evening. The valet was good about getting my car quickly although they did give me the wrong keys for my car and I wonder how far I would have made it with those.

It was about 6 in the morning and I woke up to a worker sleeping right next to me in my bed. I was bewildered. I didn't know what to do. I put up with this for about 30 minutes until he tried spooning me. This made me extremely uncomfortable. I told him if he left now I would not tell anyone. He left and I thought that was the end of it. BUT NO! He was back that night. He used his key from the main office to come into my room while I was eating dinner. He decided to just help himself to MY food. This got me irritated. He not only just had 1 bite but he finished my food. 146 TOTAL BITES (yes I counted). He would not leave so I called the front but the worker did not believe me that there was someone in my room. I then had to put up with this guys nonsense for the next 14 hours. He would not leave me alone. I was supposed to be here for a week. I left after 2 days. I would like actions to be taken. Overall not fun or comfy. derp :(

My experience with the staff at the players club has literally killed any inclination I might have had to enjoy this establishment. The most petty, anti-service oriented bunch of people I've come across in this area of the country. Best to just avoid the whole resort moving forward. We went to visit the casino, for the first time, on our way home from Albuquerque. The building was really nice and I enjoyed reading about the Native Americans, but the customer service, or lack there of, was unacceptable. From the lady that signed us up for a player's card, with a bad attitude and eye rolling,to the lady on the floor that was called when we had a question about a game that we were playing, who couldn't be bothered to explain the game to us. We are not gamblers and don't always understand the games, but one of our family members wanted to go and since we had never been we thought it would be fun, WRONG. ALL employees everywhere should remember, WE are working to provide a service to those who visit our establishments. We NEED to provide a pleasant experience to our visitors so that they may return and/or recommend our place of business to others. The customer should be number one priority and remember without customers we don't have work.

Nice clean facility always staff to help if you need it. I have only come to gamble for about 3 months and there are lots of options. Win some loose some, usually loose but that’s what you sign up for. Had best payout luck here out of the 3 other casinos nearby. Personally stick to the simpler machines and roulette, read the rules before you gamble and have fun.

The rooms were very dated. There was a pubic hair in the bathtub. The receptionist was nice and switched rooms for me, AFTER I threw a fit. Even though the room was dingy and dated the pool and hot tub seemed cleaned and we had a good time THERE. The casino was filthy and the chairs were disgusting. For a casino that makes millions a year, you’d think they could afford an update to their casino chairs at minimum. Decent stay, but won’t be back.

The Isleta Lakes & RV Park is a great place to stay if you're looking for amenities like a swimming lake and casino close by. The park is well-maintained and the gravel spaces are just fine.
Level sites with plenty of room between them. Unlike the big name in RV parks, Isleta has wide spaces and roads. We were pleased when we discovered our pull through site had a lake view. Room for a 40 ft rig and 20 ft trailer. The hookups are extremely well installed. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The grounds are spotless. Prices are not bad for what you get. There is a pay lake for fishing with an island. Large playground and lots of room. You can hear the train at night but it is not loud. All in all a very nice place to stay.

The Isleta lake we called told us the lake was stocked and boy was she right! It was definitely stocked ..... with water. We paid $40 to fish at this joke of a lake! Oh and they charge $2 to the driver who drops you off for a few hours! We walked around to ask 20 people fishing at the lake if they had caught any fish? Everyone answered with the same answer "Are you kidding, the only thing biting is the cold air!" Don't waste your time here..if you want fish go else where. The thing is Isleta lake, in the '80's thru the early 2000's, used to be fantastic, concerts, fishing tournaments and plenty of fish. Now it's a joke with no punchline. We went to another lake and within 4 hours caught our limit and had a great time...and it was free! Oh also the sign says closes at 8 but the clerk said "that's wrong we close at 6" we asked if we could used two rods each the clerk told us only one rod per fisherman and yet we saw multiple people with two rods fishing and security driving by slow and no stops? What happened to you Isleta Lake?

Well, hubby and I came here from Killeen (Forthood) Texas to surprise his mother for his 80th birthday party. We chose this place, because it wasn't too far from her house. The grounds were very nice. The service and the people on the inside were very nice and knowledgeable and we got a buy 2 get 1 free meaning we got a day free😁 Saturday, my husband his mother, daughter, brother in law, and his nephew in law all went fishing but one person caught two fish🤣 from the Brother-in-law, but he ended up giving it to mom.😊 And she wanted to cook them on sunday, but what she didn't know that we had a surprise for her!! 🤯 Thank you for the warm RV hospitality we had a great time until next time ❤️✌️👊💯

This place is the worst place to fish in the entire state. They never stock the lake and the man in the store by the lake that starts with an S is a major jerk. On the website it claims you can fish until 8. Then last summer it was 7:30 and now it’s 6:30. It’s a complete rip off. I even showed the guy where it says 8 pm and he kept arguing saying I’m wrong. What a joke. Save your money and go somewhere else. This place is a genuine rip off and I’m filing a complaint for the false advertising

We enjoyed this park. There are two types of spaces, gravel or concrete. We stayed in a gravel space which was just fine. Not quite level but we didn't have trouble getting the coach level. Water, 30/50 amp and sewer at each site. Two little lakes for fishing (permit required). There is a train right next to the campground boundary. Lucky for us, we like the sound of trains. We would stay here again.

Paid $20.00 to fish today at 2 dead lakes. $18.00 for the fishing license for me and $2.00 for my better half to just enter Isleta lakes. I never heard of paying for someone just to enter fishing ponds if you're not fishing.
Well anyways I expected to have a nice time fishing. Did I say fishing? Well there has got to be fish in order for it to be called fishing, right? It was pitiful! No one was getting any bites. Not even one bite to be had! I threw everything at them I had. No one was catching a thing. The lake was barren! Don't sell fishing licenses if there aren't any fish!
Isleta lakes keep record at the guard shack going out of the lake how many fish have been caught in the last past week and they told us only two trout have been pulled out of the lake! When asked why So little fish are in the lakes they said that all the eagles are eating the fish! Lmao... what excuses!
Don't charge money if there are not any fish!
Truly Not Cool! 🎣

Nice place to park for a while after a week of dry camping. Fishing is included and you’re a stones throw away from the lakes.
The gravel sites don’t have much gravel left but they are much nicer than the concrete pad sites. The gravel/dirt is very hard packed and provided great stability for our class A. The washers and on site showers were decent.
It’s right next to the railroad tracks but the only trains we heard the three nights we stayed were the commuter trains in the morning. Even though it’s very close to the interstate we didn’t get much sound from it at night.
Will definitely stay here again.

I would have liked to have given Isleta Lakes RV Park 5 stars, however the trash on the ground around the lakes and in one of the lake really bothers me. Yes, there are plenty of trash cans around that are emptied regularly. However, no one seems concerned that there is broken glass on the ground by a pedestrian bridge on the lake, trash floating in the lake or trash on the roadways that has obviously been there awhile. The trash is not overwhelming but it really detracts from what could be a 5 star camping experience, especially when you're out walking with a two year old relative.
Joyce Bender — Google review
We were disappointed and won't return. Why? Access to the Rio Grande is not possible due to the high chain link fence that encloses the entire park. No fire ring is offered for a camp fire. The grill that's available was full of charcoal ash; it should have been cleaned out after the previous visitor's use. The water spigot for a hose to the RV is about 4 inches off the ground and faces down, which makes it a challenge to screw a hose onto it, especially when it's cold and the hose is stiff. As for plugging in an electric cord to the electricity outlet, the numbers indicating 10 amp (?), 30 amp, and 50 camp are worn off, so it's not obvious which lever to flip. A Rail Runner train station is nearby, and while there's a certain attraction to an occasional train whistle, this one is more frequent and louder than we enjoyed. Each RV site is landscaped with rocks ranging in size from a golf ball to a softball. Which means that in the dark, it's possible to turn an ankle or even fall after stepping on one of the larger rocks. At a per-night fee of $37 per night, I expected better. As for park cleanliness, it was satisfactory. And the ducks and geese in the park lake are fun to watch.

Weekend get away. Camp had full hookup and paid extra for slab. Kinda pricy but family time was worth it! Caught a pretty decent trout. Loved the dog friendly atmosphere. We will be back.

Great for RVs and hosting events. Two lakes that provide a chance to catch trout, catfish, largemouth bass and bluegill. Fishing can be a miss but it's a scenic setting. The store at the front of the lakes has plenty of things you might need to fish or snack on. Beer is sold at this location.
Art Bezzeg — Google review
Worst customer service. Refuse to let you know when it is stocked. They like to be able to charge people $20 to fish and you can get more action in your bathtub.
I use to go here until they started refusing to let you know even what week they stock. Sure wish SANDIA Lakes would open again. SANDIA always lets you know every time they stock. They don’t lie to you and play games when you call them about when they stock their lake. I will never spend $20 to fish where there are no fish ever again. Only a ISLETA Lake does this happen. Better off leaving town to go fishing the this dead lake with horrible customer service and very little to no shade.

Horrible there are no water systems for anglers because of corruption and BLM casino big wigs like this. Do not give this sad puddle in the rez your money. Only rich fools can stay here. This place has nothing to do with the Isleta pueblo

Great Overnight stop, level spots, $34 with Good Sam discount. All employees very helpful, beautiful sunsets by the lake. If there is a negative it would be Rail-runner train stops here but seemed to be finished by 8:30pm. This could be good if you wanted to do some day trips during your stay. Definitely would stay again. Thank You for a great overnight, The Walkers

It worked out wonderful. Really nice concrete slabs for the RV. Half an hour to the balloon fiesta. We drove in in the morning and we're able to watch the balloons take off. The only negative is there is a train that goes through about 4:30 in the morning to get at 6:00ish.

I’ve taken my daughter fishing 4 times to Isleta Lakes in the last 2 months and we have done very well. Lots of bites and caught our limit twice. The catfish are decent size as well as two of them have been over 24 inches. Please keep up the regular stockings.

It started off ok. I took my family to fish. We stopped at the store, bought our passes, and the girl at the register said, "You can park anywhere that it doesn't say 'No Parking'!" So, we did. We parked and walked to the lake, set up our poles and chairs and sat down. Then some lady came over to tell us they were going to be partying behind us, but we were free to stay if we liked. We thanked her, then fished for about 45 minutes and some guy in a golf cart came and told us we couldn't fish where we were because of the party, which still hadn't started. By the time we carried everything back to our truck, we decided to just go home. We wasted over $50 for less than an hour of fishing. I guess we'll do our fishing elsewhere from now on.

A fine RV campground, especially for the price. The spots are pretty large, the place is clean and quiet. There is a free shuttle that takes you to the casino, where we ate at the very nice Embers Steak House. There are several lakes adjacent to the RV park that are fun to walk around and fishing is available. We would definitely stay here again

RV sites need some grooming and TLC.
Road runner passenger train has a stop at the park and is not quiet.
Shuttle bus to the casino was prompt and courteous.
Was a good experience. Was not too crowded, people were friendly, and everything was nice and clean. Did not stay too long just gambled a little bit. I actually won and came home with $60 more than I went with. So that's definitely a plus. I will have to expand my review when I'm able to spend more time there. But for me it is a recommendation. A little far out of the way but definitely worth the drive

If you want a clean, comfortable room and bed, this place is for you. If you want to have fun, gamble all night , smoke and drink while you party at the casino, you will have to move on. There is no longer any smoking in the casino (except in designated areas)and no drinking on the casino floor either. You can only drink in the bars. You must wear a mask at all times as well and the casino closes at 2am. The room prices have increased $50.00 per night since I last stayed there prior to the pandemic as well. I understand the increase....everything is going up. I'm used to walking in here and hearing all of the slots going like Vegas, but I walked in and it was like a morgue. Almost no sounds at all, just a speaker in the middle of the casino playing music that sounded like I turned my PC computer speaker all the way up. Very disappointing and I will not be back unless they can return to the fun place it used to be. It was Saturday night and the casino was probably 1/3 capacity. Sad. It's a quick cheap flight to Vegas and you will experience a much more normal exciting time.

This has become a regular stopover on our commute between Texas and California. Easy access... big parking lot and very clean. As a place to rest for a bit and unwind it's great. They have extremely well cleaned restrooms. But the main attraction is the food. Great hamburgers.... well worth the stop.

This place is pretty awesome. I don’t gamble much but I have met some winners today and I’m here because I have to do a 34 hour reset for trucking. I am a smoker and although this is a non-smoking place is very clean everything is well-maintained with the exception of the smoking area outback but it’s in the windiest spot so I usually just go out front. Everyone that I have met here that works here that comes in here is all smiles. It’s crowded and I can’t wait to see the car rise at 7 PM for the band at thunder Road.. I have been told all about it, so I’m biding my time just to see this.

We stopped here because our previous experience with the RV park was amazing. However, it seems like they decided to dwell on outdated covid concepts so long they have killed their own business. certain amenities are just not open, the atmosphere is slow and somber. Our food was high priced and low quality with drinks served by the bottle even though they have fountain drinks on the gambling floor. The room had at least one piece of trash in it from about 10 months before our visit and the elevators were quirky enough to give us pause when boarding. The fitness center was simply closed with no real explanation of why. The whole thing wasn't bad, it just wasn't great for the price. Our room, with a veteran discount was only about 130 bucks, but we spent almost as much eating one mediocre meal in the restaurant. I will say the exception to the food was breakfast. They give guests a 3 dollar discount, the food was good, and the portions were generous.

I stop here once in a while while passing through New Mexico. I've always had a good time. I usually kick it in the Irish pub, then move on to the shorts bar. The bartenders are always nice, respectful, and prompt. I always leave a fat tip. I like this place!

Overall a very nice small casino with many restaurants. Unfortunately the buffet has been closed since COVID. I would like to see it re-open. I love buffets.
The burger was fantastic and the best homestyle skinny fries. They actually tasted like potatoes. Super yummy.

Great casino. We stayed in the RV park and it was perfect. In the casino we were pleased to see everyone was wearing a mask. There were plastic dividers between slot machines so we felt very safe. Good food too. What more could anyone ask for. We'll stay longer next time.

My stay here made for a great getaway. From check-in to the casino, to the staff in the restaurants, everyone was extremely courteous, professional and very friendly. No one gave me any hassle about my service dog, and the room was spotless and comfortable. Dinner was at the Laguna Burger restaurant and the service matched the food; excellent. Breakfast was at the Stadium and Carlos, my waiter, saw that all was good. I will definitely return.

Great place to stop! They offer truck drivers a free steak dinner, once, this is my 3rd time eating here and it’s been fantastic each time.!!! Sometime I might get a room, if I have a reset here. Everything here is absolutely fantastic.!!! I’ve had steak twice and shrimp tacos tonight, a lot of food, well worth the price.!!!

Great place to eat but a bit pricey at times. A great rib eye 14oz with 2 sides is my favorite but will set you back $34. Luckily I get $20 off as a coupon but still overpriced. Pizza in sports bar is the right way to go at $22.00 for a large and lots of toppings, and cannot top the green chili stew. Onion rings is another favorite as I always get and priced right at $7.99 as they are plentiful and meaty.

I have gambled at route 66 for several years. It used to be fun! At one point I was one of the highest tiers they had. It has run down drastically over the past few years. The travel center is poorly run and no maintenance at all, pumps are slow meaning 25 minutes to fill my tanks on a pick-up 50 gallons. You can not use your card at the pumps anymore. You have to go inside. The casino seems very old and machines are in need of up grade and maintenance. They are not interested in keeping people coming back so beware they don't play much! For myself I will use the few points I have left for fuel and win loss statement for this year and never return. Not worth the effort to drive out there.

We did not stay in the hotel as my husband is a truck driver and there is ample parking due to the fueling station next door. Atmosphere is great. Drinks weren't served when we were there. Wife and I used the casinos adjacent RV resort and boy were we happy that we did! All components of the park are high quality as is the professionalism of the staff. All RV facilities are immaculately cleaned and well equipped. PICKLEBALL courts have great playing surface. Rec room has fireplace, Foosball, bar shuffleboard, etc! We're not frequent casino goers but did pop in and was impressed with a whole bunch of gaming options. I highly recommend this facility for an RV stay with casino option.

First time here. Very glittery place. Very clean and it looks like there are people cleaning all the time too. We lost about $200 in about 30 minutes but it did seem like a fun place overall. Lots of different food options and it was certainly bigger that I expected. I'd be interested to try staying at the hotel sometime just to have a short getaway. Can't drink or smoke on the floor. But still tons of fun. And they do have a designated smoking section outside in the back, tented and heated with comfortable patio furniture. Truck drivers can get a free steak dinner. Which was very good. 14 oz ribeye at Thunder Road restraint, cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Definitely will be stopping here again.

This review is for the pub and the blonde lady bartender that works in the day on Fridays. I do understand she was the only worker @ the time but there was a handful of patrons and she was too busy talking and having her back rubbed by a male patron instead of waiting on her customers. I then specifically asked her if it was happy hour and she said yes so we ordered the draft special. After asking for an itemized receipt she charged full price and then tried to tell me it wasn’t happy hour when we ordered when in fact it was. She needs to be trained on customer service, not only servicing the men. Not the same service as in the past!

The casino is in a great location, right off of the highway. The casino area was clean, big and staff was friendly. Food is just okay. Good enough to eat if your hungry but not good enough to brag about. The rooms appeared clean but with the age of the room I was in (looked like 80’s), it needed to be updated. The bathroom especially needed attention. The price was right though.

Great place to enjoy the weekend! The service was outstanding and our room was exceptionally clean and away from the others! Our Executive Hotel Host Kimberly, made sure we arrived to the location safely and answered any questions we had prior to checking in. Having previously stayed here, we were pleasantly surprised with the different promotions the casino offered as well as the variety of food options available. It couldn’t have been any better. Great service, great hotel, great food, and great amenities… and to top it off I walked away with some money in my pocket. I’d definitely recommend the resort to anyone visiting the Albuquerque and Santa Fe area!

We were driving 18-wheelers from Mesa, AZ to Denver, CO. We weren't sure how far we would make it but knew this was a good half-way point especially since they have truck parking. We called the hotel, explained our situation and was told we didn't need reservations, that they had plenty of rooms. We arrived, their two fuel islands were not working so we just parked. Went to the front desk to check-in and was informed they only had one room left - we need four. Not happy at all. Had to leave our trucks there and find another hotel. Wore to the wise, apparently they always say they have plenty of rooms when they don't so make reservations. On a positive note we did eat in their steakhouse restaurant and the food and service was very good.

Decent for a middle of nowhere stay and play. Was sad they got rid of the Travel gift shop. Room was clean. Had towels brought to our room and they left the door open. We were gone until the evening, luckily nothing was taken. Heard a huge dog barking on our floor at night and in the morning. Stayed there a couple times when I travel and it seems like the excitement that I used to feel when going there is dying out. They had a nice Steakhouse and how can you go wrong with a Laguna Burger!

The staff was great. Brought $200 worth of change and cashed it in at no charge. Tables dealers were also helpful to those in need and efficient and courteous. Free soft drinks and coffee. After so late all the places to eat on the inside quit serving food most of the late night hours. They should have at least some lil spot to grab a snack. I understand not having the bigger restaurant open but nothing. A lil hungry and that sure could have made my empty pockets not feel too bad cause at least my belly would be full.

We've stayed at both the hotel and the RV park and have thoroughly enjoyed both of them! The hotel staff is super friendly from check in to check out. It seems that most of them enjoy their job and are happy to have you there. The rooms in the hotel are very clean and well appointed with perhaps some of the most comfortable beds in Albuquerque! The RV park is very nice with nice large spaces and is extremely well maintained. We've stayed a few times and there is always someone out cleaning, raking and tending to the sites. Highly recommend both of them! The casino itself is a bit odd, no drinking on the floor of the casino and very little staff to help out when needed. It was also very tight for us!

I used to really like staying here..... "used to" are the key words. It's become a big disappointment for the price you pay for a room. The buffet & Sidewalk cafe are closed. The snack bar has extremely limited items. No fries & no burgers so you have to wait for the Laguna Burger place to open. I tried ordering a tuna salad & was told it would be about 2 hours for them to cut tomatoes. I told them I'll take it without tomatoes & the staff told me to come back in 2 hours. I asked for popcorn because the Bingo snack bar wasn't open & again I was told it's not ready. I offered to wait but the staff got loud & told me to come back in 2 hours. I went back 2 hours later & before I could open my mouth to place my order, they snapped & said the tomatoes still had not been cut. WTH! They don't even have yogurt at the snack bar. They no longer have a gift shop where you could go to buy necessities. You have to WALK to the gas station because the shuttle isn't running any more. There is no bell staff so be prepared to load & unload your luggage yourself. I got there early, with my luggage in tow, and the front desk wouldn't store my bag any where so I took it back to my vehicle. The chair in the room at the desk was dirty. Good thing I still carry gloves & disinfectant wipes with me.
Basically, you pay resort fees but it's far from being a resort. I have pictures of the chair but my tablet won't let me attach pictures.

Getting My Kicks and Winning Big at Route 66 Hotel and Casino
I recently had a fabulous experience at Route 66 Hotel and Casino, and it truly lived up to the iconic reputation of the historic highway. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a memorable time.
The casino vibe was electric, and I'm thrilled to say that luck was on my side. I not only got my kicks but also walked away with more than $800 in winnings. The variety of games and the overall setup of the casino created an exciting atmosphere that added to the thrill of the gaming experience.
The staff at Route 66 were friendly and accommodating, contributing to the overall positive ambiance of the venue. Whether I was trying my luck at the slots or enjoying other amenities, the service was top-notch.
What sets Route 66 Hotel and Casino apart is not just the gaming but the overall entertainment experience. The atmosphere was vibrant, and the place exuded a sense of excitement that kept me engaged throughout my visit.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a great time, fantastic gaming opportunities, and a chance to win big, Route 66 Hotel and Casino is the place to be. My experience was nothing short of fabulous, and I can't wait to return for another round of kicks and, hopefully, more winnings. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an unforgettable casino adventure!

Well they didn’t honor the truck drivers dinner that I’ve heard so many people talk about. The steak I ordered was cooked the way I asked and sides were fine. Just nothing to write home about and lack of service from wait staff made for a regrettable decision to stop. No poker tables? I don’t understand how they can stay popular, oh well I guess that’s why the parking lot is mostly empty on a weekend at 5pm
